Speaker 1: I am Sherry Mackie, and it's time right now for
• 0:03
Speaker 1: us to go to God in prayer. And as always,
• 0:06
Speaker 1: I invite you to join along with me in prayer.
• 0:09
Speaker 1: And one of the things that always pricks my heart
• 0:13
Speaker 1: is people knowing who they are and who they are
• 0:17
Speaker 1: in Christ. And that's what I want to pray about
• 0:19
Speaker 1: on today, Heavenly Father, we come before you seeking clarity
• 0:23
Speaker 1: in a world that constantly tries to define us. The
• 0:28
Speaker 1: world tells us we are what we achieve. It tells
• 0:32
Speaker 1: us we are what we own. It tells us we
• 0:36
Speaker 1: are what others think about us. It tells us we
• 0:40
Speaker 1: are our past mistakes, our failures, our titles, our income,
• 0:44
Speaker 1: our status. But Lord, today we declare that our identity
• 0:49
Speaker 1: is in You. When comparison tries to steal our confidence,
• 0:54
Speaker 1: remind us we are fearfully and wonderfully made. When rejection
• 0:58
Speaker 1: tries to label us us unwanted, remind us we are chosen.
• 1:03
Speaker 1: When Shane tries to define us by our worst moment,
• 1:08
Speaker 1: remind us we are forgiven. When success tempts us to
• 1:13
Speaker 1: build our identity on applause, remind us God that we're
• 1:16
Speaker 1: your servants. We're servants of You. Father, strip away every
• 1:20
Speaker 1: false label that we've accepted. Oh God, we are not
• 1:25
Speaker 1: what they called us. We are not what we lost,
• 1:29
Speaker 1: We are not what we went through. We are not
• 1:32
Speaker 1: even the mistakes we made. We are your children, rooted
• 1:37
Speaker 1: in identity, in your truth and not in public opinion.
• 1:41
Speaker 1: Anchor us so deeply, God, in who you say that
• 1:44
Speaker 1: we are, that the criticism doesn't crush us and praise
• 1:48
Speaker 1: doesn't control us. Lord, for everyone who feels invisible today,
• 1:54
Speaker 1: remind them they are seeing. For the ones who feel insignificant,
• 2:00
Speaker 1: Remind them they are intentional. For the one who feels disqualified,
• 2:05
Speaker 1: remind that they are redeemed. For the one who feels
• 2:08
Speaker 1: for good and God, remind them they are engraved in
• 2:12
Speaker 1: the palm of your hand. Teach us to live from identity,
• 2:17
Speaker 1: not for identity. Help us to serve because we are secure,
• 2:22
Speaker 1: not striving. Help us to love because we are loved.
• 2:25
Speaker 1: Help us to forgive because we are forgiven. And help
• 2:28
Speaker 1: us to stand firm because we're grounded in You. God.
• 2:32
Speaker 1: When insecurity whispers, let your voice thunder louder when culture shifts,
• 2:38
Speaker 1: Let your truth remain steady in our hearts. When we're
• 2:42
Speaker 1: attempting to perform for acceptance. Remind us that we are
• 2:45
Speaker 1: already accepted. Oh Father, align our thoughts with heaven. Let
• 2:50
Speaker 1: us see ourselves the way that you see us, Covered
• 2:53
Speaker 1: by grace, called with purpose, crowned with dignity, clothed and righteousness.
• 2:59
Speaker 1: Our identity it's not fragile because it is not self made.
• 3:03
Speaker 1: It is secure because it's rooted in you, and because
• 3:06
Speaker 1: we belong to you. We walk with confidence because we
• 3:10
Speaker 1: belong to you. We live with purpose. Because we belong
• 3:14
Speaker 1: to you. We stand unshaken. We lay down every false narrative. Today, God,
• 3:19
Speaker 1: we receive who you say we are in the name
• 3:22
Speaker 1: of Jesus. Amen, Amen, and Amen.
