Whose you are defines who you are.
God rescued Israel from slavery, but at Mount Sinai He invites them into something more: to know Him, belong to Him, and become His treasured possession. The people who had once belonged to Pharaoh would now be called a kingdom of priests and a holy nation. Their identity—and the way they lived—would be shaped by the God to whom they belonged.
But there was a problem. God is holy, and sinful people cannot simply enter His presence. At Sinai, Israel was called to draw near while still keeping their distance. God’s glory was among them, but they could not yet…
