Sunday, 14 December 2025 But you say, ‘Whoever says to his father or mother, “Whatever profit you might have received from me is a gift to God”—Matthew 15:5 “And you, you say, ‘Whoever, he should say to father or mother, “Gift – whatever if from me you should benefit”’” (CG). In the previous verse, Jesus cited the fifth commandment and then a penalty found in Exodus for cursing one’s father or mother.
