- 1:14Speaker 5: by verse. Today we are going to start the Book
- 1:18Speaker 5: of Jeremiah chapter eleven, a whole new chapter. So we
- 1:23Speaker 5: are moving slowly but surely through the Book of Jeremiah.
- 1:28Speaker 5: Jeremiah is a large book, so by the grace of God,

- 2:01Speaker 5: and topics and all that good stuff. You know, the
- 2:05Speaker 5: Bible says to make disciples of all nations. And also
- 2:09Speaker 5: it says that iron sharpens iron. You know, we're not
- 2:13Speaker 5: supposed to do this by ourselves. We are supposed to
- 2:16Speaker 5: be in fellowship because this is a battle, this is
- 2:20Speaker 5: a war. We are here. Our heart is to keep
- 2:24Speaker 5: everyone on that narrow path right, that narrow path that
- 2:30Speaker 5: leads to life that the Scripture tells us about all
- 2:34Speaker 5: the time. And so that is our heart, that is
- 2:37Speaker 5: our motive, that is our desire, is to see you
- 2:41Speaker 5: make it. So in order to join us, just download
- 2:45Speaker 5: that his radio app his Hop on all platforms, and

- 3:03Speaker 5: to say welcome to His Hot Nation. You are a
- 3:07Speaker 5: part of the family now. And as we do all that,
- 3:12Speaker 5: let's go before our father and prayer only. Father, Thank you,
- 3:16Speaker 5: Father God for your many blessings, Thank you for your
- 3:19Speaker 5: grace that you are faithful to show up every day. Father.
- 3:24Speaker 5: We ask Father God, that we will seek you in
- 3:27Speaker 5: that we will find you, and you are a rewarder
- 3:30Speaker 5: of those who diligently seek you. We ask Father God,
- 3:34Speaker 5: that you will join us, not only join us, but
- 3:36Speaker 5: you will take over this podcast. Father, I'm only a steward.
- 3:41Speaker 5: It belongs to you. So we asked you to do
- 3:44Speaker 5: what you desire to do with it. And we ask
- 3:47Speaker 5: all this in Jesus' mighty name. Heymen, all right, well
- 3:57Speaker 5: let's jump right into it. I'm coming at you from
- 4:02Speaker 5: the new King James today, and we're gonna take on
- 4:06Speaker 5: the first ten verses. So Jeremiah chapter eleven, Verse one,
- 4:13Speaker 5: the word which came to Jeremiah from the Lord, saying,
- 4:19Speaker 5: hear the words of this Covenant and speak to the
- 4:24Speaker 5: men of Judah and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem. So
- 4:30Speaker 5: that's the first two verses, right, So the word of
- 4:34Speaker 5: the Lord came to Jeremiah. I think it's interesting that
- 4:39Speaker 5: these prophets have this ability to hear directly from God.
- 4:44Speaker 5: We don't know exactly how they heard. We don't know
- 4:48Speaker 5: if it was a vision. You know, some prophets tell
- 4:51Speaker 5: you that they had visions or dream Joseph had dreams
- 4:57Speaker 5: in the Book of Genesis. But Jerem Maya. He just
- 5:00Speaker 5: tells us that the word of the Lord King to
- 5:03Speaker 5: him verse two, and it says, here are the words
- 5:08Speaker 5: of this covenant. So the topic of discussion today will
- 5:12Speaker 5: be the covenant God is reminding his people of the covenant.
- 5:19Speaker 5: God is a covenant God. So this is very important
- 5:23Speaker 5: from the podcast today as we go over this, and
- 5:26Speaker 5: he says, speak to the minute Judah and to the
- 5:31Speaker 5: inhabitants of Jerusalem. So this is to be a publicly
- 5:35Speaker 5: proclaimed message. Jeremiah is to go into the public arena,
- 5:41Speaker 5: maybe in the street, maybe some type of rooftop or
- 5:46Speaker 5: some type of stage setting to where they can gather
- 5:50Speaker 5: publicly to hear this word verse three, and say to them,
- 5:57Speaker 5: thus says the Lord God of Israe Rail, curse is
- 6:01Speaker 5: the man one he does not obey the words of
- 6:06Speaker 5: this covenant, which I command your father's in the day
- 6:12Speaker 5: I brought them out of the land of Egypt. Amen, Hallelujah.
- 6:20Speaker 5: Now this is serious. Now the Hebrew word for curse
- 6:27Speaker 5: is a R d O R. I believe if I'm
- 6:31Speaker 5: pronouncing it spelling it right, Give me a second, and uh,
- 6:36Speaker 5: let me look this up because I do want it
- 6:41Speaker 5: to be accurate. Was that in verse three right, cursed? Yes,
- 6:55Speaker 5: it is.
- 6:57Speaker 2: A r you are.
- 7:00Speaker 5: How re you pronounce it, And it means to be bound,
- 7:04Speaker 5: to be restricted, to be cut off from the blessing.
- 7:08Speaker 5: God is saying straight up, if you don't obey the covenant,
- 7:12Speaker 5: you're cut off from the promise. And that is real
- 7:18Speaker 5: talk right there. That is something that we really need
- 7:22Speaker 5: to play close attention to. Let's read it again. And
- 7:28Speaker 5: they said to them, thus says the Lord God of Israel.
- 7:32Speaker 5: Cursed is a man who does not obey the words
- 7:36Speaker 5: of this covenant which I commandage your fathers. And today
- 7:41Speaker 5: I brought them out of the land of Egypt verse
- 7:46Speaker 5: and from the iron, the iron furnace, saying, obey my
- 7:53Speaker 5: voice and do according to all that I command you.
- 8:00Speaker 5: So thus you may be my people, and I will
- 8:06Speaker 5: be your god a man. So that was verse four
- 8:13Speaker 5: that we read now, which I commanded your fathers in
- 8:17Speaker 5: the day I brought them out of the land of Egypt.
- 8:21Speaker 5: And of course we know the story of Moses. We
- 8:25Speaker 5: understand that the Red Sea was parted, that Egypt was
- 8:30Speaker 5: hit with ten different plagues. Each plague was an attack
- 8:35Speaker 5: against their false gods. God was showing that he was
- 8:39Speaker 5: supreme and those guys that they put their trust in
- 8:43Speaker 5: were not. They were just idols.
- 8:46Speaker 2: You know.
- 8:46Speaker 5: That has been the issue since Adam fell in a garden,
- 8:52Speaker 5: was idolatry and idol worship men chasing after other gods,
- 8:58Speaker 5: trying to find fulfillment. And so this was God showing
- 9:04Speaker 5: that he is the true and living God. And it
- 9:07Speaker 5: says from the iron furnace. Now that's an interesting term,
- 9:14Speaker 5: iron furnace. It shows now if you think of an
- 9:18Speaker 5: iron furnace, you think of fire, right, you think of
- 9:22Speaker 5: hot iron, you know, glowing hot iron, a hot a
- 9:26Speaker 5: very unpleasant place to be in. And this refers to
- 9:31Speaker 5: their time of slavery. They were slaves in Egypt. God
- 9:36Speaker 5: was reminding them how the conditions were. You know, sometimes
- 9:41Speaker 5: we could get out of a bad relationship or a
- 9:44Speaker 5: bad situation and we have thoughts of going back. How
- 9:48Speaker 5: many times have God delivered you from something? Just think
- 9:52Speaker 5: about it. He delivered you from a bad relationship, He
- 9:57Speaker 5: delivered you from pornography, You were delivered from drugs, alcohol,
- 10:04Speaker 5: It could be anything, greed, hatred, lust of forgiveness, and
- 10:09Speaker 5: then once we delivered, we find ourselves drifting back and
- 10:14Speaker 5: going back because we don't remember. We just want to
- 10:18Speaker 5: remember the good parts, right, I mean, let's be honest.
- 10:21Speaker 5: We sin because we love the sin, and God knows this.
- 10:28Speaker 5: God says that sin is fun, but only for a season.
- 10:32Speaker 5: It says that in the Bible it's temporary. That's the
- 10:35Speaker 5: problem with sin, and the consequences that you pay for
- 10:39Speaker 5: it does not equate to the amount of fun that
- 10:46Speaker 5: we so called think we have. Right, but if we
- 10:51Speaker 5: just remember that it was an iron furnace, if we
- 10:54Speaker 5: remember how unpleasant it was when we were trying to
- 10:58Speaker 5: get sober, when we had that sexually transmitted disease, where
- 11:03Speaker 5: we found ourselves doing things and we had no control
- 11:08Speaker 5: over we couldn't stop it. That's when we cried out
- 11:12Speaker 5: to our heavenly father. So God is reminding them that
- 11:16Speaker 5: this was an iron furnish situation, says the Lord. Obey
- 11:23Speaker 5: my voice and do according to all that I command you. Now,
- 11:31Speaker 5: as I referred earlier, God is a covenant God. I
- 11:34Speaker 5: wanted to go back to that reference because it's important
- 11:37Speaker 5: that we're going to see this all throughout this episode.
- 11:40Speaker 5: Today as he speaks. Now, the covenant is this, ohby
- 11:47Speaker 5: my voice. The covenant means that it is conditional, just
- 11:54Speaker 5: like a contract or anything else. You know, your place
- 11:59Speaker 5: of employment, it's conditional on if you keep the company policies,
- 12:05Speaker 5: you can remain employed. But if you violate company policy,
- 12:10Speaker 5: they have the right to separate you and dismiss you.
- 12:15Speaker 5: Right And we've all, possibly, especially in the times that
- 12:21Speaker 5: we're in right now, we've all experienced a situation something
- 12:25Speaker 5: like this, and sometimes of no wrong of our own,
- 12:30Speaker 5: we find ourselves separated. There's layoffs, there's different things like that.
- 12:35Speaker 5: Even in a marriage situation, it's a covenant. If your
- 12:39Speaker 5: spouse chooses to be unfaithful, how long do you think
- 12:43Speaker 5: that marriage would last If your spouse didn't build trust
- 12:48Speaker 5: or was very disrespectful or abuse of in the relationship,
- 12:54Speaker 5: they are not keeping their part of the covenant. So
- 12:59Speaker 5: why would that be any different with our heavenly Father
- 13:02Speaker 5: his covenant that he has with us. And yes, we're
- 13:06Speaker 5: in the Old Testament right now, but you can see
- 13:09Speaker 5: this in the New Testament when Jesus says, pick up
- 13:13Speaker 5: your cross daily, deny yourself and follow me. If you
- 13:17Speaker 5: want to be my disciple, it's under conditions. I believe
- 13:23Speaker 5: that there's a lie out there. They say one saved,
- 13:25Speaker 5: always saved. Well, what about the covenant part of our
- 13:28Speaker 5: relationship with God? If he had a covenant in the
- 13:32Speaker 5: Old Testament, why would he not have a covenant in
- 13:35Speaker 5: the New Testament. We need the whole revelation of God
- 13:38Speaker 5: and understand God's character and who he really is. Now
- 13:43Speaker 5: when it comes to his love, his love is unconditional.
- 13:49Speaker 5: His love is so great, it's an unconditional love. Yes,
- 13:53Speaker 5: even though we fail, and we have failures in our lives,
- 13:57Speaker 5: he will never stop loving us. He loves us so
- 14:00Speaker 5: much he will allow us to walk away from him
- 14:04Speaker 5: if we so choose to. He doesn't force us to
- 14:08Speaker 5: serve him. He doesn't force us at all. He respects
- 14:13Speaker 5: our free will. But his covenant is conditional. He says,
- 14:19Speaker 5: obey my voice and do according to all that I
- 14:23Speaker 5: command you. So shall you be my people? Now that's
- 14:27Speaker 5: the promise. That's the benefit of it. And I will
- 14:30Speaker 5: be your God. Now, if you want him to be
- 14:34Speaker 5: your God and you want to be his people, we
- 14:39Speaker 5: have to develop the habit of obeying his voice, keeping
- 14:44Speaker 5: his word, and keeping his commandment. Allowing the scripture to
- 14:47Speaker 5: be the govern governing authority in our hearts. Right, we
- 14:53Speaker 5: have to cast down our own imagination, our own emotions,
- 14:57Speaker 5: our own feelings, our own desires, and bring everything under
- 15:01Speaker 5: the submiss submit of authority of his word Verse five,
- 15:07Speaker 5: that I may establish the oath which I have sworn
- 15:10Speaker 5: to your father's. Now this is covenant talk, right. He
- 15:16Speaker 5: gave them an oath, he gave them a promise, but
- 15:18Speaker 5: he cannot perform it. He's asking permission. Now, think this
- 15:24Speaker 5: is God Almighty. He's like, obey my voice so that
- 15:29Speaker 5: I can fulfill my oath. As like it depends on us.
- 15:35Speaker 5: We really don't understand how much really all of this
- 15:39Speaker 5: relies on us and how we relate to our God
- 15:45Speaker 5: according to his covenant. Right, and he says, I have
- 15:52Speaker 5: sworn to give your fathers, to give them land flowing
- 15:57Speaker 5: with milk and honey as it is today. Now a
- 16:01Speaker 5: lot of people love that part of that part about God.
- 16:05Speaker 5: I mean, hey, I love that part about God. I
- 16:07Speaker 5: want the blessings. I want to live in a land
- 16:11Speaker 5: that is flowing with milk and honey. Who wants to
- 16:13Speaker 5: be in a place that's all dried up and sour
- 16:16Speaker 5: and sappy.
- 16:17Speaker 4: Right.
- 16:19Speaker 5: But the issue is we want God's blessings without obeying
- 16:23Speaker 5: the covenant, without meeting the conditions, without walking in a
- 16:28Speaker 5: way of obedience. Right now, Jeremiah has a beautiful answer
- 16:35Speaker 5: to the word of the Lord. And he answered and said,
- 16:38Speaker 5: so be it.
- 16:39Speaker 2: Lord.
- 16:41Speaker 5: It's almost like the same thing as when we say
- 16:43Speaker 5: a man in church, right, so be it. Like Lord,
- 16:48Speaker 5: this is your word, this is your covenant. We understand
- 16:52Speaker 5: the conditions. We failed to keep our part. And Lord, albeit,
- 17:01Speaker 5: if it's time for you to judge us because of
- 17:03Speaker 5: our failure, amen, so be it. Sometimes, if we find
- 17:08Speaker 5: ourselves being punished for something that we did, and if
- 17:14Speaker 5: God is correcting us, the best response is to be
- 17:18Speaker 5: humble and accepted. Why complain about it, Why have the wrong,
- 17:23Speaker 5: sinful attitude? Why blame others when you can say, you
- 17:27Speaker 5: know what, I did this, I did this to myself.
- 17:33Speaker 5: I will take responsibility for it. Amen. Verse six. And
- 17:42Speaker 5: the Lord said to me, proclaim all these words in
- 17:46Speaker 5: the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem.
- 17:52Speaker 5: Like I said before, this was a public proclamation. This
- 17:56Speaker 5: was for the entire city to hear, saying, here the
- 18:02Speaker 5: words of the Lord, excuse me, hear the words of
- 18:07Speaker 5: this covenant and do them right. I remember I said
- 18:13Speaker 5: earlier the topic is the covenant. We really have to
- 18:17Speaker 5: understand that this is how God deals with us in relationship.
- 18:22Speaker 5: It is covenant. Remember we said it's like a marriage,
- 18:26Speaker 5: right verse seven. For I earnestly exhorted your father's in
- 18:34Speaker 5: the day I brought them up out of the land
- 18:38Speaker 5: of Egypt until this day, rising early and exhorting, saying,
- 18:44Speaker 5: obey my voice. Yet they did not obey or incline
- 18:50Speaker 5: their ear. But everyone followed the dictates of his own
- 18:57Speaker 5: evil heart. Now we talk about this before, following the
- 19:03Speaker 5: dictates of our evil imaginations. Now we know now every
- 19:07Speaker 5: imagination is evil, hopefully not right in our hearts. But
- 19:12Speaker 5: when we get those evil thoughts, we've got to cast
- 19:16Speaker 5: them down immediately, because if we don't, our thoughts will
- 19:20Speaker 5: become our desires. And we know what happens when our
- 19:24Speaker 5: desires get away from us. We start to conjure up
- 19:29Speaker 5: and think of how many ways we can fulfill our desires. Right,
- 19:40Speaker 5: and so this is an indictment that they follow the
- 19:44Speaker 5: dictates of his evil heart. Therefore I will bring up
- 19:49Speaker 5: on them all the words of this covenant, which is
- 19:54Speaker 5: the key word today. What's the key word class covenant,
- 19:59Speaker 5: that's the key worried for this episode, which I commanded
- 20:02Speaker 5: them to do, but which they have not done. Now,
- 20:13Speaker 5: this is scary and sobering. He says, I will bring
- 20:16Speaker 5: up on them all the words of this covenant, all
- 20:22Speaker 5: other words. That means all of the curses. He's coming
- 20:27Speaker 5: with a heavy hand. He's coming with the haymaker. He
- 20:30Speaker 5: is not pulling any punches. He is gonna deal with them,
- 20:36Speaker 5: and deal with them severely. And if you look back
- 20:39Speaker 5: in history, you will know that that is exactly what
- 20:43Speaker 5: has happened. I've said in an earlier episode that the
- 20:50Speaker 5: archaeologists have found layers of ash in the city of
- 20:53Speaker 5: Jerusalem where they were invaded and destroyed by Babylon. Babylon
- 20:59Speaker 5: burnt that city to the ground. And that was God
- 21:03Speaker 5: bringing the full weight of the Covenant, of the curses,
- 21:10Speaker 5: of the word of the Lord upon the nation. As
- 21:14Speaker 5: his word says, and as his word promises a man.
- 21:19Speaker 5: There are promises that we don't want God to fulfill. Right,
- 21:24Speaker 5: There's a promise that if we live according to the
- 21:26Speaker 5: works of our flesh, we will not inherit the kingdom.
- 21:30Speaker 5: We got to deal severely with our flesh, because our
- 21:34Speaker 5: flesh will take us out of covenant, out of the
- 21:38Speaker 5: blessings and the protection of our heavenly Father. And it
- 21:43Speaker 5: says they have not done. And the Lord said to me,
- 21:48Speaker 5: a conspiracy has been found among the men of Judah
- 21:52Speaker 5: and among the inhabitants of Jerusalem. They have turned their
- 21:58Speaker 5: back to the iniquities. Excuse me. They have turned back
- 22:04Speaker 5: to the iniquities of their fathers, who refuse to hear
- 22:08Speaker 5: my words. And they have gone after other gods to
- 22:13Speaker 5: serve them. The house of Israel and the house of
- 22:17Speaker 5: Judah have broken my what's the keyword, covenant which I
- 22:22Speaker 5: made with their fathers. They have broken this covenant. They
- 22:28Speaker 5: have backslidden. They have gone back to their old ways,
- 22:37Speaker 5: and they did not take the word of the Lord seriously.
- 22:42Speaker 5: How do we know whether or not we take God's
- 22:47Speaker 5: words serious? Here, I'm gonna let you guess. When we
- 22:55Speaker 5: don't read it, we don't acknowledge it, don't search it out,
- 23:01Speaker 5: we don't study it. When we can make decisions all
- 23:05Speaker 5: on our own and don't even consult the Word, when
- 23:08Speaker 5: we are so prideful and independent of God. God will
- 23:12Speaker 5: never put us in a situation to where he's irrelevant.
- 23:16Speaker 5: We have to understand that God will not make himself irrelevant.
- 23:19Speaker 5: We are always going to need to depend on him.
- 23:22Speaker 5: We are always going to need to go to him.
- 23:24Speaker 5: We're always going to need to seek him and search
- 23:28Speaker 5: for him. And one of the ways we do so
- 23:31Speaker 5: is with his word. And I want to bring one
- 23:34Speaker 5: more point before we go to our break in this
- 23:38Speaker 5: passage of scripture, if I can found it, if I
- 23:45Speaker 5: found it, if I can find it, let me speak
- 23:48Speaker 5: here verse seven four. I earnestly exhorted your father's in
- 23:55Speaker 5: the day I brought them up out of the land
- 23:58Speaker 5: of Egypt. Until this day. Hey, here's my point, rising
- 24:02Speaker 5: early and exhorting, saying obey my voice. Yet they did
- 24:08Speaker 5: not obey or incline their ear, but everyone followed the
- 24:12Speaker 5: dictates of their evil hearts. Now, just a simple fact
- 24:17Speaker 5: that God said that he is rising early. That shows
- 24:21Speaker 5: that he's faithful. That shows that he's consistent, that he
- 24:27Speaker 5: did not let the nation go easily. He was faithfully
- 24:32Speaker 5: speaking to them, rising early, like he wanted to get
- 24:36Speaker 5: them at the start of the day. Before you do
- 24:39Speaker 5: anything else, obey my voice, paying attention to me, give
- 24:45Speaker 5: me your time, give me your attention, give me your heart,
- 24:49Speaker 5: and do he give that to him? When we rise
- 24:52Speaker 5: early in the morning, do we find him? Do we
- 24:56Speaker 5: seek him? Do we find him in a place of wisdom,
- 25:01Speaker 5: in a place of help, a place of nourishment, of covenant, blessing,
- 25:08Speaker 5: in a place of protection. Love it. We need to
- 25:14Speaker 5: hear his voice. Wow, he is speaking. Hey man, all right,
- 25:24Speaker 5: let's go to it right.
- 25:27Speaker 3: You are listening to the light of Las Vegas. This
- 25:30Speaker 3: is the hiss Hop Radio Show, A.
- 25:34Speaker 2: Two thousand as t.
- 25:37Speaker 6: Yeah. Oh see.
- 25:42Speaker 4: Yeah, keep it a honey. Yeah, keep it a honey. Yeah,
- 25:49Speaker 4: keep it a honey. Yeah, keep it a honey.
- 25:56Speaker 6: Yeah, keep it honey. Gotta keep it real. I never
- 26:00Speaker 6: change for a dollar bill. They told me to go ahead,
- 26:02Speaker 6: try to deal. I took my time because I try
- 26:04Speaker 6: to build. I tell my mind.
- 26:05Speaker 2: Put it in your will.
- 26:06Speaker 6: I took my time. Put it in your will. Keep
- 26:08Speaker 6: it a honey. You don't gotta lie. I got a
- 26:10Speaker 6: hundred and the summerside. When they find my cindhorrella, we
- 26:15Speaker 6: be reading called letters. If we fall, we fall together.
- 26:18Speaker 6: When we get up, we get better. Take me having
- 26:21Speaker 6: no propeller, take me having no propeller.
- 26:27Speaker 4: Yeah, keep it the honey. Yeah, keep it the honey. Yeah,
- 26:35Speaker 4: keep it the honey. Yeah, keep it the stay on honey.

- 26:43Speaker 6: know you wouldn't me that shin why or you better
- 26:45Speaker 6: pick a side.
- 26:48Speaker 2: Because we had this sacrifice. You don't really know the price.
- 26:51Speaker 2: Don't fall in love with the life. I had to
- 26:55Speaker 2: get the look from.
- 26:56Speaker 6: Christ, but then it ain't having another night with the King.
- 26:59Speaker 6: I'm walking right what watch hiz stepway to light?
- 27:06Speaker 2: Watch high Stepway to Light. Yeah.
- 27:10Speaker 4: Keep it a honey. Yeah, keep it a honey. Yeah,

- 27:23Speaker 4: Yeah, keep it a honey. Yay, keep it a honey. Yeah,
- 27:31Speaker 4: keep it a honey. Yeah, keep it a honey.
- 27:45Speaker 3: You are listening to the Light of Las Vegas. This
- 27:49Speaker 3: is the Hiss Hop Radio show.
- 27:55Speaker 1: H m hmmm.
- 28:07Speaker 5: All right, all right, we are back from the break.
- 28:09Speaker 5: This is your brother, mister his hop and you are
- 28:12Speaker 5: listening to his high radio podcast. Verse by verse is
- 28:18Speaker 5: what we're calling it. That was Caleb Jordan. We're keeping
- 28:21Speaker 5: a hundred on the music break. I want to give
- 28:24Speaker 5: a huge shout out to those in a live chat.
- 28:26Speaker 5: Shout out to my brother's own three. Appreciate you, brother man.
- 28:30Speaker 5: We definitely got to pray after this podcast. You know,
- 28:32Speaker 5: we jump in here live at eleven every day Monday
- 28:37Speaker 5: through Saturday, check in with each other, and also through
- 28:42Speaker 5: the week we have phone calls. We agree in prayer,
- 28:47Speaker 5: and you know, we try to you know, we're trying
- 28:50Speaker 5: to walk it out. We're trying to really let this
- 28:52Speaker 5: thing out right. We don't just want to get on
- 28:53Speaker 5: here and tell y'all to do it and we're not
- 28:55Speaker 5: doing it right. So if you would like to join
- 28:58Speaker 5: us in one of the calls, let us know. In
- 29:00Speaker 5: a live chat, you know, we can actually create like
- 29:03Speaker 5: a conference number where people can call in or do
- 29:07Speaker 5: like a quick zoom or something like that. You know,
- 29:11Speaker 5: there's a possibility for all those scenes that happen. We
- 29:15Speaker 5: just need y'all to participate in it and everyone else
- 29:19Speaker 5: showing up in a live chat. We just want to
- 29:21Speaker 5: shout y'all out. We appreciate y'all. And now it's time
- 29:26Speaker 5: for the accountability partner segments and that's what we're talking
- 29:30Speaker 5: about in the live chat. We kind of help keep
- 29:34Speaker 5: each other accountable help each other stay on that narrow path.
- 29:38Speaker 5: So we give you daily challenges in a live chat
- 29:41Speaker 5: on what you need to do, call, text, or email
- 29:45Speaker 5: your accountability partner and just go over different questions topics.
- 29:51Speaker 5: And the point is to have integrity and to be
- 29:53Speaker 5: honest with ourselves. Right, They'll try to fluff it up
- 29:57Speaker 5: and make it seem like this is good when things
- 30:01Speaker 5: are not. No, let's talk about it, let's pray about it,
- 30:04Speaker 5: let's go through it. Hey man. So the question for
- 30:07Speaker 5: today is where are you walking in the imagination of
- 30:19Speaker 5: your evil heart? Like imagine, I mean i'd imagine, meditate
- 30:26Speaker 5: and examine is what I'm trying to say. Examine your heart.
- 30:30Speaker 5: Is there an evil imagination that you've obeyed, that you're
- 30:34Speaker 5: trying to walk and following a lie, a deception of
- 30:39Speaker 5: the enemy that is telling you that if you fulfill
- 30:42Speaker 5: this desire, you will be satisfied When no, like Mick
- 30:48Speaker 5: Jagger says, we get no sat of a faction, right,
- 30:52Speaker 5: no satisfaction in sin. And what's one area where you
- 30:59Speaker 5: know God has called you to obedience but you're choosing
- 31:04Speaker 5: your own way instead? What area? Just pick one out?
- 31:10Speaker 5: We all have one of those we all have an
- 31:12Speaker 5: area where God is calling us to be obedient to
- 31:16Speaker 5: him and we still struggle. Now do this. This is
- 31:20Speaker 5: your homework. Write it down. Write down that particular area,
- 31:25Speaker 5: that particular spot where you're struggling. Now, don't share it
- 31:35Speaker 5: if you're not ready to share it with your accountability
- 31:38Speaker 5: partner or anyone else. Just write it down. But you
- 31:42Speaker 5: gotta be honest like I said before, and then choose obedience.
- 31:50Speaker 5: Now that's the key. Just one area, just for one week.
- 31:58Speaker 5: See what happens when you align yourself with God's covenant
- 32:02Speaker 5: instead of breaking it. Just take baby steps. Let's start
- 32:07Speaker 5: training ourselves to be obedient to God's word and to
- 32:13Speaker 5: God's covenant. We also want to let you know that
- 32:19Speaker 5: His Hot Radio we are monitored in a reporting radio station.
- 32:23Speaker 5: Just head on over to our website hisshot Nation dot
- 32:26Speaker 5: com and hit that submissions tab. Check out our promo

- 32:36Speaker 5: but positive and godly music.
- 32:38Speaker 3: Please.
- 32:47Speaker 5: Now it's time for trivia. Head over to the Life Chat.
- 32:53Speaker 5: Get your fingers ready because the first one to answer
- 32:56Speaker 5: correctly would be the trivia champ for today's shout out
- 33:00Speaker 5: to of course my brother zoom three. He's always killing
- 33:03Speaker 5: it on the trivia. Thank you, brother, very encouraging to
- 33:10Speaker 5: see you participate and show up faithfully.
- 33:12Speaker 6: Brother.
- 33:14Speaker 5: So the question for today is in Jeremiah chapter eleven,
- 33:23Speaker 5: verse four, God reference bringing the Israelites out of Egypt
- 33:29Speaker 5: from what is called the iron furnace, the iron furnace.
- 33:38Speaker 5: He called it the iron furnace. That's where he brought
- 33:40Speaker 5: them out of the question is what does this phrase
- 33:45Speaker 5: symbolize in scripture in this particular passage. What is God
- 33:52Speaker 5: symbolizing when he says the iron furnace? All right, posting
- 33:58Speaker 5: a live chat first one to post it wins bragging rights. Also,
- 34:09Speaker 5: I want to give a community shout out, a place
- 34:11Speaker 5: where we give updates and info about our events and
- 34:15Speaker 5: the things we got coming up. I just want to
- 34:17Speaker 5: tell you man that we were able to assist and
- 34:21Speaker 5: minister at the juvenile detention center this past Saturday, and
- 34:25Speaker 5: it was nothing short of amazing. You know, the juvenile
- 34:30Speaker 5: detention center. Of course, we cannot take videos or pictures.
- 34:34Speaker 5: You know, these are minor children, but they are incarcerated
- 34:39Speaker 5: for one reason or another. But the NBA chaplains they
- 34:45Speaker 5: travel with these pro football teams and the minister to
- 34:52Speaker 5: the pro players and when it comes to town, they
- 34:57Speaker 5: want to do something in Vegas to of on Vegas.
- 35:01Speaker 5: And I've been able to help them for the past
- 35:03Speaker 5: four years that they've come to town. And one year
- 35:10Speaker 5: they packed out the Chaparral High School Gymnasium. Uh, they
- 35:15Speaker 5: passed out groceries things like that. Also they go down
- 35:21Speaker 5: to the local local laundry map and they pay for
- 35:25Speaker 5: their customers to get you know, they get their laundry
- 35:29Speaker 5: done for free on that day. And I've been down
- 35:32Speaker 5: there to assist and to help them out. And so
- 35:34Speaker 5: we came and we rocked it out. We had two
- 35:37Speaker 5: artists come out, our brother Repent, Brother zoone wasn't able
- 35:41Speaker 5: to come this time, but our Brother Repent came and
- 35:45Speaker 5: Brother LaMonte came out ministered in music. Then the Chaplains
- 35:50Speaker 5: came and ministered to the children. And then retired pro
- 35:55Speaker 5: basketball player as well, and oh man Alan Houston, and
- 36:05Speaker 5: his name escaped me for a second. Alan Houston came
- 36:09Speaker 5: out to minister to the children. And you look him up.
- 36:13Speaker 5: He is a retired NBA player. We've had players come
- 36:18Speaker 5: through over the years to minister. We've had Kingdom Music
- 36:21Speaker 5: and Brian Trio come out one year and so yes,
- 36:25Speaker 5: this is definitely a movement that we've been blessed to
- 36:32Speaker 5: be a part of. And so we prayed at the
- 36:34Speaker 5: end and all that. So you subscribed to our newsletter
- 36:38Speaker 5: so that you can get the updates and info. Our
- 36:41Speaker 5: next event will be August twenty ninth at the Resort
- 36:44Speaker 5: World and we hope to see you there. Last, but
- 36:55Speaker 5: not least, our nonprofit organization is Hot Nation, Inc. That
- 37:01Speaker 5: we opened up a Christian hip hop club in Vegas
- 37:04Speaker 5: in twenty twelve. The first one, we took a five
- 37:08Speaker 5: thousand square foot warehouse, we made it into a venue.
- 37:12Speaker 5: We did live shows, theirs, we did events theirs there,
- 37:16Speaker 5: we ministered to the community there, and we're looking to
- 37:21Speaker 5: relaunch and reopened and we're looking to do this all
- 37:24Speaker 5: over again and hopefully your support. According to guys will,
- 37:34Speaker 5: we will be able to do this. We need your
- 37:37Speaker 5: financial supports. We're looking for monthly donors. We're looking for supporters, sponsors,
- 37:50Speaker 5: We're looking for grants and grant writers and volunteers. If
- 37:57Speaker 5: you believe in a vision, if you think that our
- 37:59Speaker 5: community can profit, if we reopen and relaunch the club.
- 38:05Speaker 5: We ask for your prayers and your support. You could
- 38:09Speaker 5: do so on our website HiT's how nation dot com
- 38:12Speaker 5: or download that app is how radio and all platforms. Amen. Amen,
- 38:22Speaker 5: Well that's my time. Belove it. But I'm not getting
- 38:24Speaker 5: out of here without some closing remarks and we're gonna
- 38:29Speaker 5: close out in prayer. So the covenant God made with
- 38:35Speaker 5: this people is still open. The question is whether. The
- 38:41Speaker 5: question is not whether God is faithful or not, because
- 38:46Speaker 5: God is a faithful God. The question is are you
- 38:50Speaker 5: Will you choose obedience? That is our part. It is
- 38:56Speaker 5: a conditional covenant. This is how we have our relationship
- 39:01Speaker 5: with God. This is how God relates to us. And
- 39:06Speaker 5: it's like that in all areas of life. It's based
- 39:09Speaker 5: on conditions. Is not automatic, right, So will we choose
- 39:17Speaker 5: to obey? Will you stop walking in the imagination of
- 39:23Speaker 5: your evil heart and align yourself with God's voice? Now
- 39:30Speaker 5: this week take the Accountability Partner challenge. Identify one area
- 39:34Speaker 5: where you need to choose obedience and do it. See
- 39:39Speaker 5: what happens when you step back into covenant with God.
- 39:46Speaker 5: And hey, if this episode bless you, share it, send
- 39:50Speaker 5: it to someone who needs to hear about covenant and obedience.
- 39:56Speaker 5: Let's spread the word together. We're gonna continue the book
- 40:01Speaker 5: of Jeremiah. We're gonna go deep into this, the consequences
- 40:05Speaker 5: of a broken covenant and the hope of restoration on
- 40:10Speaker 5: our next one. So we don't want you to miss it.
- 40:16Speaker 5: So we want you all to stay faithful, stay obedient,
- 40:19Speaker 5: stay locked into the His Hot radio podcast, and let's pray.
- 40:25Speaker 5: Eavenly Father, help us, oh Lord, to choose obedience. Help us,
- 40:29Speaker 5: O God, to keep all parts of the covenant. Lord,
- 40:34Speaker 5: let us not break covenant. Let us not break our
- 40:37Speaker 5: faithfulness to you. Let us not break our witness to you,
- 40:42Speaker 5: Oh God. Let us not allow our good to be
- 40:45Speaker 5: spoken evil love, Oh Lord, Father God. We ask, Oh God,
- 40:51Speaker 5: Oh Lord, for your mercies which are new every morning.
- 40:55Speaker 5: O God, that you forgive us, Lord, and we forgive
- 40:57Speaker 5: those who's wronged us. God, help us to come back
- 41:01Speaker 5: in alignment with your covenant. Whatever area of disobedience, so God,
- 41:07Speaker 5: that we have indulged ourselves in, help us, help us
- 41:11Speaker 5: to get delivered, Oh God, help us to bring obedience
- 41:14Speaker 5: in every area of our lives. Lord, we can't do
- 41:17Speaker 5: this without you, Lord, And we asked this in Jesus's
- 41:21Speaker 5: Mighty name a man, and remember it's not about us.
- 41:26Speaker 5: It's all about the Christ in us. God blessed.
- 41:39Speaker 3: You are listening to the light of Las Vegas. This
- 41:43Speaker 3: is the Hiss Hop Radio Show.
