- 0:00Speaker 1: You just heard the news. Now you'll find out what
- 0:03Speaker 1: it all means. It's Mark Simone on 710WOR. Well, hey,
- 0:13Speaker 1: we've got a lot to get to.
- 0:14Speaker 2: We'll get those crazy New York Yankees. I think that's
- 0:17Speaker 2: it for them. We'll get to Cornell. We'll get to
- 0:20Speaker 2: crazy Letitia James. We'll get to AI, the city council.
- 0:26Speaker 2: Holding hearings. Very important hearings. Looking to make money off
- 0:30Speaker 2: these AI companies. We'll get to... Hey, Fox News. 30th anniversary. Tomorrow.
- 0:37Speaker 2: We'll get to Iran and we'll get to... We'll get
- 0:42Speaker 2: to Jim Baker. Remember Jim Baker? He died. The breaking
- 0:46Speaker 2: news is he was still alive. Did you know that?
- 0:49Speaker 2: I didn't know that. We'll get to... Well, let's do
- 0:52Speaker 2: it right now. This Chuck Schumer is finished. Chuck Schumer is...
- 0:56Speaker 2: Just a joke in the Democratic Party. Chuck Schumer is
- 1:00Speaker 2: a tired old fossil. He's an old dinosaur. He's obviously
- 1:07Speaker 2: Republicans have no use for him, but Democrats want him gone.
- 1:10Speaker 2: All the Democrats want him gone. He's just going to
- 1:13Speaker 2: become a punching bag now. He'll finish out his term.
- 1:16Speaker 2: He can't run for reelection. Who knows? He might even
- 1:19Speaker 2: step down early. He's just going to be a punching bag.
- 1:22Speaker 2: Here's Ro Khanna. This is like the hot Democrat now.
- 1:25Speaker 2: He's like the Indian Adam Schiff. Remember, Adam Schiff and
- 1:28Speaker 2: Ro Khanna are on every Sunday show, every week. These
- 1:32Speaker 2: are the two hot shots in that they're the biggest liars.
- 1:36Speaker 2: They're the biggest attackers of Trump. They're booked on every
- 1:39Speaker 2: Sunday show. Shows you how illegitimate these Sunday shows are.
- 1:43Speaker 2: You should have a wide range of opinions, a wide
- 1:46Speaker 2: range of guests, a wide range of Democrats. But every Sunday,
- 1:50Speaker 2: each show, they have these two on to bash Trump.
- 1:52Speaker 2: But And it's fine. Bashing Trump is what you're supposed
- 1:56Speaker 2: to do if you're a Democrat. But listen to this.
- 1:59Speaker 2: This is Ro Khanna, leading Democratic spokesman. Listen to the
- 2:03Speaker 2: way he talks about Chuck Schumer. Well, let's try it again.
- 2:07Speaker 2: Let's get the next gen on. Listen to the way
- 2:09Speaker 2: he talks about Chuck Schumer.
- 2:10Speaker 3: I'm a New Deal Democrat, not a donor class Democrat.
- 2:14Speaker 3: I'm a New Deal Democrat, not a corporate Democrat. I'm
- 2:23Speaker 3: a New Deal Democrat, not a Chuck Schumer Democrat.
- 2:26Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't know why they cut it, but the
- 2:28Speaker 2: whole crowd cheers there. Yeah, so that's Schumer, a donor Democrat,
- 2:34Speaker 2: a corporate Democrat. The reason Schumer stayed in so long
- 2:38Speaker 2: is he's the king of donor service. Every major donor
- 2:42Speaker 2: has his cell number. I'm talking about Democrats and Republicans,
- 2:48Speaker 2: and they always make sure he never has much of
- 2:49Speaker 2: an opponent. They like to keep him in office, and
- 2:52Speaker 2: If you ask them, Republicans, why do you keep backing Schumer?
- 2:56Speaker 2: And they'll tell you, I can wake this guy up
- 2:58Speaker 2: at 3 in the morning. He'll do anything I want.
- 3:00Speaker 2: So Democrats want him gone. President Trump getting a lot
- 3:05Speaker 2: of flack because he shot off his mouth. You know,
- 3:07Speaker 2: he does these rallies for like three hours. Three hours.
- 3:11Speaker 2: And he says a million things, some of them brilliant,
- 3:13Speaker 2: some of them funny, some of them crazy. And every
- 3:17Speaker 2: one out of 200 times, he goes way over the line.
- 3:20Speaker 2: And he's joking around about Iran, threatening to take out
- 3:24Speaker 2: his city. And he's joking, oh, yeah, we'll take out L.A.
- 3:27Speaker 2: or San Diego. It's a joke. It's a terrible joke.
- 3:30Speaker 2: And you've got to remember, he's Howard Stern. It's Howard Stern.
- 3:35Speaker 2: You know, when you listen to Howard Stern, all those years, brilliant, funny,
- 3:38Speaker 2: what a great show. But then every so often, he
- 3:41Speaker 2: goes so far over the line, you'd cringe. You'd go, oh, God,
- 3:43Speaker 2: why did he have to say that? But that's what happened.
- 3:46Speaker 2: So he said that.
- 3:47Speaker 4: Let him take out Los Angeles. Let him take out
- 3:49Speaker 4: San Diego. This is a very small price to pay.
- 3:53Speaker 4: And it's going to be over very soon. It's essentially
- 3:57Speaker 4: almost over with.
- 3:58Speaker 2: Yeah, all right. Stupid joke. You're not supposed to make
- 4:00Speaker 2: a joke like that. But again, he's Howard Stern.
- 4:03Speaker 4: It's a small price to pay.
- 4:05Speaker 2: Now, yeah. Everybody yelling about oil prices, gas prices. Let
- 4:10Speaker 2: me just check. Hang on. Hang on. Wait one second. Oh,
- 4:14Speaker 2: if you're a Democrat, cover your ears for a minute. Yeah,
- 4:18Speaker 2: oil is still dropping. dropping a lot, down to 87.
- 4:21Speaker 2: It's down about $ 15 a barrel in the last couple
- 4:25Speaker 2: of weeks. It's down to 87. It went above 100 briefly,
- 4:31Speaker 2: very briefly. This is nowhere near Joe Biden oil prices,
- 4:35Speaker 2: and this is nowhere near Barack Obama oil prices. It's much,
- 4:38Speaker 2: much lower. But 87 is pretty good. Even Brent Crude
- 4:41Speaker 2: is under 100 now. So that's a good sign. Now,
- 4:45Speaker 2: one of the reasons oil prices are up, a lot
- 4:48Speaker 2: of it is diesel fuel. diesel fuel, and that has
- 4:51Speaker 2: nothing to do with the Iran war. The diesel fuel
- 4:55Speaker 2: price increase is because Russia has been unable to produce
- 5:00Speaker 2: most of the diesel fuel they usually produce. That's a
- 5:02Speaker 2: lot of the world market. When the reason is Ukraine
- 5:05Speaker 2: has been bombing the hell out of Russia and specifically
- 5:09Speaker 2: hitting their refineries. Ukraine now saying they've taken out half
- 5:13Speaker 2: of Russia's refineries. So that's the oil. They've cut the
- 5:18Speaker 2: oil output of Russia in half. And a lot of
- 5:21Speaker 2: that's diesel oil. That's driven the price up. President Trump.
- 5:25Speaker 4: For many years, farm vehicles, construction equipment and other off-road
- 5:30Speaker 4: vehicles have used what is known as red dye diesel.
- 5:34Speaker 2: Do you know what that is?
- 5:36Speaker 4: I don't know what the hell it is, but whatever
- 5:38Speaker 4: it is, it's supposed to be very good.
- 5:40Speaker 2: Yeah, well, it's diesel fuel is used also in all
- 5:43Speaker 2: the trucks. And the problem is everything in every store
- 5:47Speaker 2: is delivered by a truck. So if the fuel price
- 5:49Speaker 2: goes up, the price of the goods goes up. But
- 5:54Speaker 2: as I say, everything is coming down now and looking better.
- 5:58Speaker 2: 87 is pretty low. Remember, it was like 107 a
- 6:01Speaker 2: couple of weeks ago. So 87 is pretty low. The president, again,
- 6:06Speaker 2: every day flying to another city, doing another rally. Today's Baltimore.
- 6:11Speaker 2: Every day, he leaves the White House in the afternoon,
- 6:13Speaker 2: flies to another city, does a rally. And the rally's
- 6:16Speaker 2: not 20 minutes for him. It's three hours. You know,
- 6:19Speaker 2: he gets all upset because of Fox News. Why aren't
- 6:22Speaker 2: they covering my rallies? Why isn't this network covering? They're
- 6:25Speaker 2: three hours. You can't give up three hours of programming.
- 6:28Speaker 2: They do cover them, but they just take the highlights
- 6:30Speaker 2: and run them. So, yeah. Now, midterms, it looks pretty
- 6:36Speaker 2: good for the Republicans. Oh, I know, you keep hearing, oh,
- 6:39Speaker 2: look how far behind, they're way behind. They're not as
- 6:41Speaker 2: far behind as those polls make it out to be.
- 6:44Speaker 2: Most of the polls totally rigged, the public polls. The
- 6:47Speaker 2: wrong metrics, the wrong demos, deliberately. It's to suppress voter turnout. But,
- 6:54Speaker 2: and that's why Republicans always outperform the polls, because the
- 6:57Speaker 2: polls are rigged. President Trump running around, and this is
- 7:01Speaker 2: where he usually wins. when he's behind a couple of
- 7:06Speaker 2: weeks out, behind and has some momentum. And that's what
- 7:09Speaker 2: they got right now. So that's the best place to
- 7:11Speaker 2: be for Republicans. Be a little behind with momentum, you
- 7:16Speaker 2: surge at the end and you win. Democrats peaked too early,
- 7:20Speaker 2: big mistake, and that's not going to be good. And
- 7:24Speaker 2: the important number, if you want to look at any numbers,
- 7:28Speaker 2: in most of these states, the amount that the Republicans
- 7:31Speaker 2: are behind is less than the amount that the Republicans
- 7:36Speaker 2: usually outperform the polls. So they're actually doing pretty well.
- 7:40Speaker 2: And again, President Trump always pulls a rabbit out of
- 7:43Speaker 2: the hat in the last week of an election. Cornell University,
- 7:49Speaker 2: student protests all over the place. If you're on the campus,
- 7:52Speaker 2: students protesting like crazy. Here they are. Justice for Jacob!
- 7:56Speaker 5: Justice for Jacob!
- 8:00Speaker 2: Justice for Jacob! Now, you might be wondering what they're chanting.
- 8:09Speaker 2: Who the hell knows? They just love to go outside
- 8:11Speaker 2: and yell and scream, which is perfect because you don't
- 8:13Speaker 2: have to go to class that way. Cornell students all upset.
- 8:17Speaker 6: Were you.
- 8:19Speaker 4: In the group chat?
- 8:20Speaker 7: Yeah. And none of you did.
- 8:25Speaker 2: Now, Leticia James has been named the special prosecutor, which
- 8:30Speaker 2: is absolutely ridiculous. She's not a prosecutor. She has never
- 8:34Speaker 2: prosecuted a criminal case in her life, has no experience
- 8:38Speaker 2: as a prosecutor, never prosecuted a criminal case. This is
- 8:42Speaker 2: not the one to start on. And then worse than that,
- 8:45Speaker 2: she's prejudged the case in writing publicly. She has declared
- 8:50Speaker 2: them guilty. You can't prejudge the case like that. It
- 8:54Speaker 2: doesn't sound good. It's going to be used against her.
- 9:00Speaker 2: And don't be surprised if they do get her removed. Now,
- 9:03Speaker 2: there's 28 days until the election. They'll do everything they
- 9:06Speaker 2: can to stall all of this till after the election,
- 9:08Speaker 2: because most likely Letitia James will get bounced off the
- 9:12Speaker 2: case for prejudging it. The lawyer for the Cornell students
- 9:16Speaker 2: already bringing this up.
- 9:17Speaker 7: These are not allegations that should be tried on video,
- 9:24Speaker 7: on Instagram. These are very serious allegations. Attorney General James
- 9:31Speaker 7: made very public posted Facebook comments that seemingly have prejudged
- 9:40Speaker 7: or at least shown a bias towards the alleged victim
- 9:47Speaker 7: in this case.
- 9:48Speaker 2: Yeah. So how do you defend yourself if you're one
- 9:51Speaker 2: of these students? Now, the other thing is there's a
- 9:54Speaker 2: lot of misleading stuff. There's a lot of people like
- 9:56Speaker 2: this idiotic AOC who's been making these crazy predictions public
- 10:00Speaker 2: statements that she was lured to the fraternity house. They
- 10:04Speaker 2: drugged her. None of this is true. She was not
- 10:07Speaker 2: lured there. She wanted to go there. Couldn't wait to
- 10:10Speaker 2: go there. She voluntarily took drugs. If you read her statement,
- 10:14Speaker 2: the victim statement, She says that she voluntarily took drugs.
- 10:20Speaker 2: She got herself really drunk before she went there. Ten drinks.
- 10:25Speaker 2: That's a lot of drinks for an 18-year-old. Ten drinks.
- 10:29Speaker 2: Went there, voluntarily took another drink, voluntarily took drugs. She
- 10:34Speaker 2: then admits that she voluntarily had sex with two guys there,
- 10:39Speaker 2: that she wanted to do that. She wanted to have
- 10:41Speaker 2: sex with both of them at the same time. One
- 10:44Speaker 2: of them I hate to get graphic here. One of them, uh, wanted, well,
- 10:50Speaker 2: he put the ketamine all over his, uh, erect, uh,
- 10:56Speaker 2: you know what, and then had her, uh, lick it off.
- 11:02Speaker 2: She said she did this voluntarily. Now this, this is
- 11:07Speaker 2: not going to sound great in the courtroom. This is
- 11:08Speaker 2: her statement that she gave. Uh, now she said it
- 11:12Speaker 2: then late later, it got out of control. As the
- 11:15Speaker 2: drugs made her so woozy. And she said, then other
- 11:20Speaker 2: guys came in and got out of hand. But there
- 11:24Speaker 2: are really only three guys that are being accused of
- 11:28Speaker 2: rape here. The rest aren't. The rest, it was consensual.
- 11:31Speaker 2: It was voluntary. Word got all over the campus about this. Now,
- 11:38Speaker 2: the other part is she didn't report this. And she
- 11:41Speaker 2: decided not to report it. And she waited a long time,
- 11:44Speaker 2: many weeks, and then later, later went to campus cops,
- 11:48Speaker 2: gave a long, long statement. And Cornell at the time
- 11:54Speaker 2: did do an investigation. I mean, you know, you probably,
- 11:56Speaker 2: in a serious matter, should bring in some real professional
- 12:00Speaker 2: law enforcement, you know, prosecutor, investigator. But they used faculty and,
- 12:06Speaker 2: you know, probably the Cornell attorney's And their investigation resulted
- 12:12Speaker 2: in disciplinary stuff. Two of the students were expelled. They
- 12:17Speaker 2: were kicked out of school. Two of them were suspended
- 12:20Speaker 2: for two semesters. And then now you read how some
- 12:24Speaker 2: of them didn't get a severe punishment, you know, but again,
- 12:28Speaker 2: some of them weren't accused of any actual rape by
- 12:31Speaker 2: her or anybody else. A couple of them did acknowledge
- 12:36Speaker 2: the sexual contact. And as she testified in her, report
- 12:40Speaker 2: to the police. It was voluntary. So this is going
- 12:43Speaker 2: to be a mess of a case, absolute mess of
- 12:46Speaker 2: a case. It's going to be a mess for Kathy Hochul.
- 12:50Speaker 2: She's going to have to explain why she appointed the
- 12:52Speaker 2: least qualified person on earth, Letitia James, because James has
- 12:56Speaker 2: a history of politicizing everything. She's got no experience at
- 13:01Speaker 2: all as a criminal prosecutor, none. And she's very, very,
- 13:07Speaker 2: very partisan. Why did she appoint her? Well, it could
- 13:11Speaker 2: be a couple of reasons. One, she needs her help
- 13:14Speaker 2: in the election, so she appointed Letitia James. Letitia James
- 13:18Speaker 2: has always been a big headline grabber. Big headline grabber.
- 13:23Speaker 2: This is the most high-profile case in the world right now.
- 13:26Speaker 2: She might have called Hochul and asked and begged, demanded
- 13:31Speaker 2: to be the prosecutor here. Now, remember, Letitia James is
- 13:34Speaker 2: also up for re-election. So she might, by the way,
- 13:37Speaker 2: vote for the Republican. You got to get rid of
- 13:39Speaker 2: this Letitia James. But Letitia James is up for reelection.
- 13:43Speaker 2: So this, she thinks, might help her in her election.
- 13:48Speaker 2: And it's going to be a mess. It's going to
- 13:50Speaker 2: be a mess. Now, not going to be good. This
- 13:52Speaker 2: is not going to work out well. Hey, you remember
- 13:55Speaker 2: that awful terrorist at Fort Hood? The guy was a
- 14:00Speaker 2: military guy. He was an Army officer. This is years ago.
- 14:04Speaker 2: He was an Army officer. And he became a terrorist.
- 14:09Speaker 2: He became a radical terrorist. And at Fort Hood, he
- 14:13Speaker 2: was on the base because he was an army officer.
- 14:16Speaker 2: At Fort Hood, he went nuts. A terrorist attack. His
- 14:20Speaker 2: name is Nadal Malik Hassan. He killed. He just started
- 14:24Speaker 2: firing at everybody, shooting. He killed 12 service members, one civilian,
- 14:30Speaker 2: wounded 32 others. This is 2009. It's a long time ago.
- 14:35Speaker 2: Fort Hood, Texas. He went on a total rampage terrorist attack,
- 14:38Speaker 2: killed all kinds of people on the base. In 2013,
- 14:41Speaker 2: the military court sentenced him to death. And it's time
- 14:47Speaker 2: now to execute him. Well, Pete Hegseth, Secretary of War
- 14:51Speaker 2: Pete Hegseth, has recommended a firing squad. And President Trump
- 14:56Speaker 2: has approved it. So this guy will face a firing squad. Now,
- 15:02Speaker 2: if anybody deserves that, it's this guy. You know, there's
- 15:04Speaker 2: been all this stuff about executions that don't work. Lethal
- 15:08Speaker 2: injection didn't work on Krista Pike. And we see these
- 15:11Speaker 2: numbers coming out to 3% of the executions don't work,
- 15:16Speaker 2: whether it's hanging or electrocution or lethal injections. The one
- 15:21Speaker 2: thing they know works is a firing squad. So this
- 15:23Speaker 2: guy will face a firing squad. Believe it or not,
- 15:25Speaker 2: they still have firing squads. I think is it four
- 15:30Speaker 2: or five States still allow firing squad. So this guy will,
- 15:34Speaker 2: We'll face one, and that's a good thing. Yankees lost
- 15:36Speaker 2: last night. They're down two games. They lose one more game,
- 15:42Speaker 2: they're out. They're facing the best team in baseball. They
- 15:46Speaker 2: come back to Yankee Stadium. That helps. Home field advantage.
- 15:49Speaker 2: But they can't beat Tampa Bay three times in a row.
- 15:53Speaker 2: It's not possible. They can't do it. If they did,
- 15:57Speaker 2: it would be the greatest miracle in the history of sports.
- 15:59Speaker 2: They can't do it. Sometimes that's happened where you come
- 16:02Speaker 2: back from two down. But it's always two evenly matched teams,
- 16:06Speaker 2: not where one team is far superior. The Yankees lost
- 16:09Speaker 2: because of just error after error after error. And you
- 16:14Speaker 2: can't even single anybody out because they were all dropping
- 16:16Speaker 2: balls or throwing wildly. But the Yankees lost last night.
- 16:21Speaker 2: Now you've got second and third two out.
- 16:22Speaker 8: O'Keefe's had a misplay and an error in the center.
- 16:25Speaker 1: Palacios, a bullet into center field, a base hit.
- 16:28Speaker 6: One run is in.
- 16:29Speaker 3: Simpson, here comes.
- 16:30Speaker 4: DeLuca and hits the nine.
- 16:35Speaker 1: DeLuca scores. Richie Palacios, two RBI single makes it 5-1 Rays.
- 16:41Speaker 8: Oh, God.
- 16:42Speaker 2: It was rough. It was rough. So, the next game
- 16:44Speaker 2: is not tonight, right? It's tomorrow, Wednesday night. Wednesday night,
- 16:47Speaker 2: tomorrow night, Yankee Stadium. But again, their chances of winning
- 16:53Speaker 2: the series now drops to about 5%, maybe, maybe. Hey,
- 16:58Speaker 2: we've got a lot to get to. Don't forget, I'm
- 17:00Speaker 2: here 9 to noon every day. It's three hours every day,
- 17:03Speaker 2: 9 to noon. We'll get to the 30th anniversary of
- 17:06Speaker 2: Fox and a whole lot more coming up. Oh, also,
- 17:10Speaker 2: we'll get to Jack Smith. He's been caught now in
- 17:13Speaker 2: another just terrible, Awful, awful, awful thing that he should
- 17:17Speaker 2: go to jail for. We'll get to that. Coming up
- 17:20Speaker 2: on 710WOR.
- 17:23Speaker 1: Now, nine till noon weekdays.
- 17:25Speaker 2: Mark Simone.
- 17:26Speaker 5: More Mark.
- 17:27Speaker 4: On 710WOR.
- 17:30Speaker 2: Well, hey, now, sometimes you go out of your way
- 17:34Speaker 2: if you want to get fancy. You go somewhere better
- 17:38Speaker 2: and you pay more for something. Now, for instance, one...
- 17:44Speaker 2: There was a Marriott hotel and it was a Ritz-Carlton hotel.
- 17:48Speaker 2: And I'm talking to this snooty woman who was trying
- 17:51Speaker 2: to get an appointment. She wants to go to the
- 17:53Speaker 2: spa for a massage at the Ritz-Carlton. But they were booked.
- 17:58Speaker 2: I said, well, why don't you go to the Marriott?
- 17:59Speaker 2: They got a great spa. I wouldn't go to a Marriott.
- 18:02Speaker 2: I go to the Ritz-Carlton. And she paid a lot more.
- 18:07Speaker 2: So one day I'm talking to this, some woman at
- 18:09Speaker 2: the Marriott. I'm talking to her. Turns out she's the masseuse.
- 18:13Speaker 2: And it's like noon and she's leaving. I go, what,
- 18:15Speaker 2: you leave at noon? That's an easy day. And she said, oh, well,
- 18:19Speaker 2: in the afternoon, I work at the Ritz-Carlton. It's the
- 18:21Speaker 2: same masseuse in both places. At the other place, you're
- 18:26Speaker 2: going to pay 100% more, but it's the same exact masseuse. Now,
- 18:31Speaker 2: here's the point of this. If you are one of
- 18:34Speaker 2: these people, let's say you want chicken. You could go
- 18:38Speaker 2: into just a regular supermarket and get some chicken. What
- 18:41Speaker 2: do they have there? Purdue. You get some Purdue chicken. Now,
- 18:44Speaker 2: some people, I don't get that. I go to Whole Foods.
- 18:48Speaker 2: I get their special house brand at Whole Foods. They
- 18:52Speaker 2: call it 365. People love to tell you that. They
- 18:55Speaker 2: love to tell you. I go to Whole Foods. I
- 18:57Speaker 2: get the 365 brand chicken. Well, now it turns out,
- 19:02Speaker 2: who makes that? Do they make it at Whole Foods? No,
- 19:04Speaker 2: it turns out they don't. They buy it. that Whole
- 19:07Speaker 2: Foods 365 private label chicken is Purdue. It's the same
- 19:15Speaker 2: Purdue you get in the supermarket. Purdue supplies the chicken
- 19:19Speaker 2: for the private label Whole Foods brand. It's the same chicken, Purdue,
- 19:25Speaker 2: by the way, you can get the same exact chicken
- 19:27Speaker 2: made by Purdue, the same chicken is at Walmart, it's
- 19:30Speaker 2: at Target, it's at Kroger. The difference is, If you
- 19:35Speaker 2: buy it at Whole Foods, they charge 45% more for
- 19:38Speaker 2: the same exact chicken. And that happens with a lot
- 19:42Speaker 2: of stuff. So, when you go think you're getting a
- 19:45Speaker 2: special private label, it's made by, uh, the people you
- 19:50Speaker 2: don't want to get it from in the super, but it's,
- 19:52Speaker 2: it's Purdue. It's very good chicken. There's nothing, nothing wrong
- 19:56Speaker 2: with it. Uh, Jay Clayton has been appointed the AI
- 20:00Speaker 2: czar by president Trump. He's actually perfect for this because
- 20:04Speaker 2: a couple of reasons. One, he's got a lot of experience.
- 20:07Speaker 2: He's the, uh, Director of National Intelligence. You need a
- 20:10Speaker 2: guy with intelligence experience to figure out this AI battle
- 20:14Speaker 2: between us and China. Keep an eye on that. Also,
- 20:18Speaker 2: he was the U.S. attorney here, but he's not just
- 20:20Speaker 2: a prosecutor. He was the head of the SEC in
- 20:24Speaker 2: the first Trump administration. Longtime corporate lawyer. He's a very
- 20:28Speaker 2: experienced guy with a lot of business knowledge. Perfect, perfect
- 20:34Speaker 2: for AI czar. The other thing is you're going to
- 20:38Speaker 2: go into an era now of total AI hysteria with
- 20:42Speaker 2: Bernie Sanders yelling and screaming. There's a couple of things
- 20:46Speaker 2: going on here. Climate change doesn't work anymore as an issue.
- 20:51Speaker 2: It's not fooling voters. You can yell and scream, we're
- 20:54Speaker 2: all going to die. Climate change, we're going to be underwater.
- 20:57Speaker 2: The glacier is going to melt. Well, they've been yelling
- 20:59Speaker 2: this now 40 years. None of it ever happened. So
- 21:01Speaker 2: it's not working on voters. So and this is all
- 21:05Speaker 2: very carefully plotted. Obama has been working on this. They
- 21:10Speaker 2: have these daily briefings from the Bonner group on K
- 21:13Speaker 2: street and they lay out all this. So they, they
- 21:16Speaker 2: came up with this AI scare to replace climate change
- 21:20Speaker 2: that AI could kill us all. It's an old democratic thing.
- 21:23Speaker 2: You come up with this boogeyman that's going to kill
- 21:25Speaker 2: you and only the Democrats can stop it. Only the
- 21:28Speaker 2: Republicans won't stop it. Only the Democrats could stop it.
- 21:31Speaker 2: It's a, Fear tactic to get you to vote for them.
- 21:33Speaker 2: That's one aspect of it. The other one is the
- 21:35Speaker 2: reason the AI companies want to play along. They would
- 21:38Speaker 2: love to have a ton of government regulation. They would
- 21:41Speaker 2: love to have a ton of red tape because then
- 21:44Speaker 2: it keeps out any newcomers. These four or five AI
- 21:48Speaker 2: companies control the whole thing now. It's a cartel. But
- 21:52Speaker 2: there's new young companies rising up that could take over.
- 21:56Speaker 2: And this is how the tech world works. You know, Facebook.
- 21:59Speaker 2: was just this crazy college kid. MySpace was the social media.
- 22:05Speaker 2: But then this little Facebook came and took it over.
- 22:08Speaker 2: There were four big search engines. I'm trying to remember.
- 22:11Speaker 2: Yahoo was the big search engine. There was AltaVista. Remember
- 22:14Speaker 2: all this? Netscape. And then this little unknown company, Google,
- 22:18Speaker 2: came and took it all over. So the AI guys
- 22:20Speaker 2: don't want this to happen to them. They want a
- 22:22Speaker 2: ton of regulation to keep any newcomers away, scare them away.
- 22:27Speaker 2: In other words, They right now, the four companies control AI.
- 22:30Speaker 2: They want to moat around them, keep everybody else out.
- 22:33Speaker 2: So they're going to create this hysteria. And that's another
- 22:36Speaker 2: reason Clayton is good. He's a very calm, level-headed guy
- 22:40Speaker 2: who won't get caught up in any of this hysteria.
- 22:44Speaker 2: That's good news. Hey, colleges are having a little trouble
- 22:48Speaker 2: because of a couple of reasons. One, they've become these crazy, woke,
- 22:52Speaker 2: left-wing indoctrination camps. You always hear these stories about these
- 22:57Speaker 2: kids come back as crazed extremist left-wing kooks. And you
- 23:01Speaker 2: hear these stories about an immigrant who fled socialism in Cuba,
- 23:07Speaker 2: risked his life to get here, worked hard, made something
- 23:10Speaker 2: of himself, became a success, sends his kid to college.
- 23:13Speaker 2: The kid comes back a socialist. Everything the guy tried
- 23:17Speaker 2: to get away from. You got that, plus you got
- 23:19Speaker 2: the tuitions are out of control. Absolutely ridiculous tuitions. And
- 23:26Speaker 2: a lot of people are starting to realize you don't
- 23:29Speaker 2: need a college education. It doesn't mean much of anything.
- 23:31Speaker 2: I mean, if you're going to be a doctor or
- 23:33Speaker 2: a lawyer, you need that education. But for everything else,
- 23:36Speaker 2: they don't really teach you much. And, you know, if
- 23:38Speaker 2: you're going to go into the business world, they don't
- 23:40Speaker 2: really know that much in college. One of the smartest
- 23:43Speaker 2: guys I've ever heard was doing interviews. He's one of
- 23:45Speaker 2: the most successful executives in the world. And in the interview,
- 23:49Speaker 2: he said, yeah, I went to college. I tried not
- 23:52Speaker 2: to get too educated because I could see they didn't
- 23:54Speaker 2: know what they were talking about. So that's the problem.
- 23:57Speaker 2: And for a lot of people, the best thing is
- 23:59Speaker 2: a tech school. You know, you get out of college
- 24:02Speaker 2: with your liberal arts degree. All that entitles you to
- 24:05Speaker 2: is to move back into your parents' house for 10 years.
- 24:08Speaker 2: But you go to a tech school, Lincoln Tech, one
- 24:10Speaker 2: of those great schools. You come out with a career.
- 24:12Speaker 2: You're an electrician. You're HVAC. You're a plumber. And day one,
- 24:17Speaker 2: you get out of college. You're making $ 150, 000 a year.
- 24:20Speaker 2: than 250,000. It's a great, great alternative. So U.S. colleges
- 24:24Speaker 2: now apparently slashing their prices. They realize they're in trouble.
- 24:29Speaker 2: Some cutting prices, tuitions by 40 to 50 percent. They
- 24:34Speaker 2: are losing a lot of applications. They're losing a lot
- 24:38Speaker 2: of business. And colleges are a business. So they're slashing
- 24:41Speaker 2: prices right now. That's good news. Hey, we've got a
- 24:43Speaker 2: lot more to get to. We'll take some calls. It's
- 24:46Speaker 2: Mark Simone here, 9 to noon, three hours every day,
- 24:49Speaker 2: 9 to noon on 710WOR.
- 24:53Speaker 1: Live from the WOR LifeVac studios.
- 24:59Speaker 2: Hey, so we'll get to Jim Baker. Remember Jim Baker?
- 25:02Speaker 2: Did you know he was still alive? He just died.
- 25:04Speaker 2: We'll get to him. Remember this Tammy Faye Baker? Who
- 25:07Speaker 2: was the woman he got caught with? Jessica Hahn? I
- 25:11Speaker 2: think that was it. Yeah, we'll get to all of
- 25:12Speaker 2: this coming up. We'll get to that silly Gavin Newsom
- 25:15Speaker 2: and more. We'll take some calls. 800-321-0710 is the number.
- 25:18Speaker 4: 800-321-0710.
- 25:18Speaker 2: Let's go to Bill in Idaho. Bill, how are you doing? Hey,
- 25:21Speaker 2: good morning, Mark. What do you think of this? On Amazon,
- 25:24Speaker 2: it says customers who web.
- 25:38Speaker 2: I can't really understand what you're saying, but I have
- 25:40Speaker 2: a feeling I'm not missing anything. What time is it
- 25:43Speaker 2: in Idaho? It's pretty early there, isn't it?
- 25:45Speaker 5: It's 6.30 if you go east about a mile.
- 25:49Speaker 2: 6.30? That's fascinating because it's 9.45 here.
- 25:54Speaker 5: Anyway, on Amazon, it says customers who bought Chuck Schumer's
- 26:02Speaker 5: anti-savages in America also bought Artisan X and razor blades.
- 26:09Speaker 2: Oh, I see. That's supposed to be a joke. All right.
- 26:11Speaker 2: Thanks for calling.
- 26:12Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 26:12Speaker 2: So Amazon, they recommend other things. It's always interesting. So
- 26:16Speaker 2: his joke was whoever bought Chuck Schumer's book also ordered
- 26:21Speaker 2: arsenic and razor blades. Well, it's a sick joke. Sick joke.
- 26:24Speaker 2: But we know what you mean. That Chuck Schumer, he's finished.
- 26:30Speaker 2: Absolutely finished. It's great watching his career just fizzle out
- 26:34Speaker 2: and die. Let's go to Margie in the Hudson Valley. Margie,
- 26:39Speaker 2: how you doing?
- 26:41Speaker 6: Hi, Mark.
- 26:41Speaker 9: This is Margie, the college professor. I call everyone.
- 26:44Speaker 2: Oh, I remember you. This is a very, very, very
- 26:48Speaker 2: smart woman. She's a college professor. And you told us
- 26:51Speaker 2: once that sometimes you look out there at the class
- 26:54Speaker 2: and you think, you know, 30% of these people shouldn't
- 26:56Speaker 2: be here.
- 26:59Speaker 9: No, that's incorrect. I would say 40%. 40% shouldn't be there.
- 27:01Speaker 2: 40%.
- 27:04Speaker 9: And Bill O'Reilly made a great point a couple of
- 27:06Speaker 9: weeks ago, and you just made a comment a few
- 27:08Speaker 9: minutes ago that I want to expand on. You're absolutely right.
- 27:14Speaker 9: Everything you say about the teachers' unions and the way
- 27:17Speaker 9: they defend ridiculousness in the classroom, and for anybody who's
- 27:22Speaker 9: never heard me before, I've been teaching in colleges for
- 27:25Speaker 9: a year. The dirty little secret, Mark, is that the
- 27:29Speaker 9: administrators who've escaped from the front lines are the ones
- 27:34Speaker 9: who handpick these socialist teachers, the ones who are going
- 27:39Speaker 9: to pass everybody and won't say a word. And so
- 27:43Speaker 9: that's where the problem lies. I've heard somebody else on
- 27:47Speaker 9: the radio say, well, they should hire more conservative teachers. Well,
- 27:50Speaker 9: they should. We could have a balanced curriculum, but they don't.
- 27:57Speaker 9: And the reason is because the administrators don't want to
- 28:00Speaker 9: be bothered, and this way all the kids pass. And
- 28:04Speaker 9: it's really sad. And for anybody who thinks that it
- 28:07Speaker 9: doesn't affect them going to college, well, guess what? Suppose
- 28:12Speaker 9: you are a real student. You're sitting in a classroom
- 28:15Speaker 9: next to students who don't want to be there, who
- 28:18Speaker 9: are troublemakers, who are disinterested.
- 28:20Speaker 2: No, that was me.
- 28:22Speaker 9: I had an 18-year-old girl in my class once, September semester,
- 28:27Speaker 9: and I was talking to her, and she told me
- 28:29Speaker 9: she had two children already. I said, when did you
- 28:32Speaker 9: have the last one? She said, last week. So this
- 28:35Speaker 9: girl who already had two baby daddies and one child
- 28:39Speaker 9: was one week old was in my classroom. Her head
- 28:41Speaker 9: wasn't around learning. She wanted to be out of there.
- 28:45Speaker 9: So even if you go to college and you say, well,
- 28:49Speaker 9: I'm going to sit there and study, look who you're
- 28:51Speaker 9: sitting next to. That's why I completely support Lincoln Tech
- 28:56Speaker 9: and all the other trade schools because they're taught through
- 28:59Speaker 9: the apprentice method. which is really what happens in the
- 29:02Speaker 9: workforce and everybody gets right down to business.
- 29:06Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 29:06Speaker 5: All right.
- 29:06Speaker 2: Well, Margie, you're a great caller. We always love hearing
- 29:09Speaker 2: from you. Thanks for calling. Uh, yeah. You know, the
- 29:12Speaker 2: other thing is you get a college degree and what
- 29:16Speaker 2: are you going to need this? I gotta be honest.
- 29:17Speaker 2: It's been like, uh, 40 years and, uh, I've gotten
- 29:21Speaker 2: a number of jobs. I got a job here. I
- 29:24Speaker 2: got a job at WABC. I got a job at WNEW.
- 29:27Speaker 2: I worked at the NBC radio network, the CBS radio,
- 29:30Speaker 2: you know, and all these times where I got hired
- 29:31Speaker 2: for every job. Nobody ever once asked me if I
- 29:36Speaker 2: went to college. Nobody ever even brought it up. It
- 29:38Speaker 2: never came up once. I had to. a degree. I
- 29:40Speaker 2: don't know where the hell it is. I haven't seen
- 29:43Speaker 2: it in years. There are a lot of professions where
- 29:45Speaker 2: you're really not going to need that degree. Let's go
- 29:47Speaker 2: to Mike in Florida. Mike, how are you doing?
- 29:49Speaker 8: Good morning, Mark.
- 29:51Speaker 2: Yes, Mike.
- 29:53Speaker 8: I always get a kick out of the newest fake outrage,
- 29:57Speaker 8: this time about the president making a joke about L.A.
- 30:01Speaker 8: And it'll be Republicans and their experts who will be
- 30:05Speaker 8: the most outraged. But none of them have contempt for
- 30:09Speaker 8: the Chuck Lorreys of the world. who recently said he'd
- 30:12Speaker 8: like to see Trump dead, or Springsteen headlining a concert
- 30:16Speaker 8: that basically every song is about seeing Trump dead, the
- 30:20Speaker 8: Foo Fighters included, or Phil Collins saying that the president
- 30:25Speaker 8: isn't eloquent and elegant enough for his taste. Here's a
- 30:28Speaker 8: guy who was in a rock band where they're, you
- 30:30Speaker 8: know what, to underage groupies and doing drugs. But there
- 30:34Speaker 8: he's outraged that the president isn't classy enough for him.
- 30:37Speaker 2: Well, let's not forget Robert De Niro, who two days ago–
- 30:39Speaker 2: it's up on my Twitter if you want to take
- 30:41Speaker 2: a look at it– went into an unbelievable tirade calling
- 30:45Speaker 2: for the death of Donald Trump, calling the– I can't
- 30:47Speaker 2: play it on the air because it's all F-words. I
- 30:49Speaker 2: can't play it on the.
- 30:50Speaker 8: That's right. Yeah. And again, our side, the Republicans are
- 30:56Speaker 8: going to be the most outraged. They'll be the most
- 30:58Speaker 8: vociferous about Trump shouldn't say these things. Meanwhile, they won't
- 31:01Speaker 8: say anything about De Niro, who, by the way, has
- 31:03Speaker 8: daddy issues, if you know what I mean, knowing his background.
- 31:07Speaker 8: That's why he's so outraged at a tough guy like Trump.
- 31:11Speaker 2: Yeah. He also yells in this tirade that Trump is a...
- 31:14Speaker 2: That's the P word. It refers slang for a woman's
- 31:19Speaker 2: body part.
- 31:20Speaker 6: Yes.
- 31:20Speaker 9: So.
- 31:21Speaker 2: Is that kind of sexist he's saying if you're like
- 31:23Speaker 2: a woman that it means you're weak? Is that what
- 31:25Speaker 2: De Niro was saying? Yeah, yeah.
- 31:29Speaker 8: He thinks he's a street guy. That's what street guys do.
- 31:32Speaker 8: You're a fake tough guy in a bar. That's what
- 31:35Speaker 8: you call each other. So it's a derogation.
- 31:39Speaker 2: All right, Mike. Thanks for calling. Let's go to Blauvelt,
- 31:43Speaker 2: also in Florida. Blauvelt, how are you doing?
- 31:46Speaker 6: Mark Simone, good morning, sir.
- 31:47Speaker 8: How are you?
- 31:48Speaker 6: Good. I think this weekend you should go out with
- 31:52Speaker 6: a wicker basket and a pair of overalls and do
- 31:54Speaker 6: a photo shoot in a strawberry patch.
- 31:57Speaker 2: Yeah, these people go strawberry picking. They go apple picking. Oh,
- 32:01Speaker 2: you know what? I am going to do that. I
- 32:02Speaker 2: did that last year. I had a picture on Instagram.
- 32:06Speaker 2: I put up a picture of me apple picking. Yeah,
- 32:08Speaker 2: it was at the Whole Foods right over there in
- 32:09Speaker 2: the Columbus Circle. You go in right in the front.
- 32:12Speaker 2: They got 27 varieties of apples. Enormous selection.
- 32:16Speaker 5: And you don't have to drive too far.
- 32:17Speaker 2: No, you go over there. You know, they even give
- 32:19Speaker 2: you a basket when you come in. You get a
- 32:21Speaker 2: little basket. You walk over there. There's every kind of
- 32:25Speaker 2: apple from all over the world. You pick whatever apples
- 32:27Speaker 2: you want. You put them in the basket. They put
- 32:29Speaker 2: it in a bag for you, and you go home.
- 32:31Speaker 2: You don't have to drive eight hours out to the
- 32:33Speaker 2: end of Long Island.
- 32:34Speaker 8: Exactly.
- 32:35Speaker 6: One more thing, sir, if you don't mind. Instead of
- 32:37Speaker 6: mailing out checks to everybody with this tariff money, why
- 32:41Speaker 6: don't we pay down the debt?
- 32:44Speaker 2: Yeah, well, we can do that, but we never pay
- 32:47Speaker 2: down the debt. The debt's always going to be there.
- 32:49Speaker 2: The debt's always going to have this debt. Anyway, thanks
- 32:52Speaker 2: for calling. Yeah, this apple picking. You got to, I
- 32:55Speaker 2: don't know. Well, it's great. You get out in the country.
- 32:58Speaker 2: You drive for four hours. Hey, I don't even have
- 33:01Speaker 2: to go to that Whole Foods. Right next door, there's
- 33:04Speaker 2: a Morton Williams. Open 24 hours. You go in there. Again,
- 33:08Speaker 2: same thing. They give you a basket. There's 50 kinds
- 33:10Speaker 2: of apples. Pick whatever you want. You know, when you
- 33:13Speaker 2: go out to that... orchard to pick the apples they
- 33:17Speaker 2: got like wormholes in them they're dirty they've got bugs
- 33:20Speaker 2: all you know you go into that supermarket they shine
- 33:24Speaker 2: it they polish it they put some wax it looks
- 33:26Speaker 2: beautiful much better apple picking there you don't have to
- 33:29Speaker 2: drive all the way out there same thing with strawberries
- 33:32Speaker 2: just go to any great more supermarket they got all
- 33:34Speaker 2: the strawberries you want there uh anyway i'm here nine
- 33:37Speaker 2: to noon every day it's three hours every day nine
- 33:40Speaker 2: a.m till noon and Then at noon, you got Buck
- 33:42Speaker 2: Saxton and Clay Travis, two great hosts together. You get
- 33:45Speaker 2: twice as much. Then Sean Hannity at 3 o'clock, the
- 33:49Speaker 2: most listened to radio show in America. You got Jesse Kelly,
- 33:53Speaker 2: 6 o'clock every night. And you got the very funny
- 33:56Speaker 2: Jimmy Fallon, who was talking about something this morning. Remind
- 33:59Speaker 2: me to get to that. In the next hour, we'll
- 34:01Speaker 2: do that. Coming up on 710WOR.
- 34:05Speaker 1: The Mark Simone Show. Now 9 till noon weekdays.
- 34:11Speaker 6: On 710WOR.
- 34:13Speaker 2: Well, hey, it's actually fall. If you weren't sure, just
- 34:17Speaker 2: go outside today. It's going to be cool today. The
- 34:19Speaker 2: high will be low 60s. You'll actually need a jacket today. Now,
- 34:22Speaker 2: it's going to be beautiful, bright sunshine for the whole week.
- 34:26Speaker 2: I think Thursday gets back up to about 75. but
- 34:29Speaker 2: most of the time in the 60s. No rain in
- 34:32Speaker 2: the forecast for the whole week. That's good news. We've
- 34:35Speaker 2: got a lot to get to in the next hour.
- 34:37Speaker 2: We'll get to this evil, dirty Jack Smith. We'll get
- 34:39Speaker 2: to Jim Baker. We'll get to Cornell again and a
- 34:44Speaker 2: whole lot more. Mark Simone here, 9 to noon, three
- 34:47Speaker 2: hours now every day, 9 to noon on 710WOR.
