- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Benn and Ashley I Almost Famous podcast
- 0:03Speaker 1: with her radio. Alright, actually, it is time to break
- 0:07Speaker 1: down episode two of this season of the Bachelorette. There
- 0:11Speaker 1: are some shocking parts to this episode. I want to
- 0:14Speaker 1: start by asking if you agree or disagree with me.
- 0:19Speaker 1: I have a thought after two episodes, so my sample
- 0:22Speaker 1: base is very small. I feel as I watched this
- 0:27Speaker 1: that this feels more like a throwback season, like more
- 0:31Speaker 1: vintage Bachelorette Bachelor than how we've kind of gone about
- 0:35Speaker 1: the show in the last movie five years, even though
- 0:38Speaker 1: we have two Bachelorettes. I watched this and I'm like,
- 0:41Speaker 1: this kind of feels like a season that I'm gonna
- 0:42Speaker 1: get really into again. Well, why, well, I think we
- 0:48Speaker 1: have some very interesting contestants. I think is one um
- 0:53Speaker 1: that some we're gonna really root for, some uh we're
- 0:57Speaker 1: really gonna root against. Not to completely uh skip over
- 1:03Speaker 1: this whole episode. I do feel like they've gotten rid of,
- 1:06Speaker 1: or they're gonna get rid of, the more villainous characters
- 1:09Speaker 1: very quickly. Right right now. They're like kind of like
- 1:12Speaker 1: in and out, which kind of happened the past they
- 1:14Speaker 1: weren't around um and then I also in finding the
- 1:23Speaker 1: dynamic between Rachel and Gabby very interesting. They are very
- 1:27Speaker 1: supportive of each other. Uh, there was some odd moments
- 1:31Speaker 1: that we're getting during the episode where like they have
- 1:33Speaker 1: a guy come over and they're both sitting there. That's
- 1:34Speaker 1: weird to me. But I think getting to know them
- 1:38Speaker 1: better has been really fun. But I think they're just
- 1:40Speaker 1: gonna go about this process very differently, so we're kind
- 1:43Speaker 1: of getting two seasons all in one. We're we're gonna
- 1:46Speaker 1: agree with one lead, we're gonna disagree with the other.
- 1:48Speaker 1: That might switch back and forth over the season. I
- 1:51Speaker 1: just feel like now I'm kind of like engaged more
- 1:54Speaker 1: than I was in the past, where the villain took
- 1:56Speaker 1: up all the screen time was always on the episode,
- 2:00Speaker 1: the drama was always at the forefront, and that just
- 2:02Speaker 1: got annoying and hard to watch. Now, I feel like
- 2:04Speaker 1: most of this this episode, at least, was their own
- 2:07Speaker 1: journey struggling through who to send home, who not send home,
- 2:10Speaker 1: and also dealing with conflict, which used to be the
- 2:12Speaker 1: storylines of the past. Yeah, that was really well put.
- 2:16Speaker 1: I really have enjoyed as well. Um, both girls I
- 2:20Speaker 1: find are equally compelling to watch, and it's just nice
- 2:24Speaker 1: it's just nice having a variety. So let's talk about
- 2:28Speaker 1: the moments that really stood out to us. So it
- 2:31Speaker 1: starts with them like basically needing to get to know
- 2:35Speaker 1: all twenty eight remaining guys, so a ton you could
- 2:40Speaker 1: call this. Do you call us a group date or
- 2:42Speaker 1: you just tell this like Rose Cocktail Party Part two,
- 2:46Speaker 1: it's yucky outside. They wanted to have a pool party,
- 2:50Speaker 1: but then they decided to kind of bring the pool
- 2:52Speaker 1: party inside and see what these guys can do in
- 2:55Speaker 1: speedos while having a talent show. The moment that stands
- 2:59Speaker 1: out to me most during this part was Jacob being hilarious,
- 3:04Speaker 1: comes up looking like his standard Tarzan, swivels a chair around,
- 3:10Speaker 1: puts glasses on, and goes, let me tell you about,
- 3:13Speaker 1: you know, how to get the best mortgage. That was
- 3:16Speaker 1: a good laugh. Loved that the guys um they were fun,
- 3:20Speaker 1: they were lighthearted, and they all appeared quite likable in
- 3:24Speaker 1: this moment. What do you think I think there were two?
- 3:27Speaker 1: I mean, so far other than you know Chris's little mishap,
- 3:32Speaker 1: I don't not in the little mishap, I think he
- 3:34Speaker 1: meant what he said because he kind of doubled down
- 3:36Speaker 1: on it. But everybody else I'm finding to be very likable,
- 3:42Speaker 1: like guys that you're like, I could root for you
- 3:43Speaker 1: or I enjoy watching you interact. So yes, I agree
- 3:48Speaker 1: with that. Okay, So then they just say that they're
- 3:50Speaker 1: going to bring the guys that they are most interested
- 3:53Speaker 1: in getting to know better based on the talent show
- 3:56Speaker 1: over to their house, and that is what I love.
- 3:59Speaker 1: I love it when they make it seem a little
- 4:01Speaker 1: bit more grounded, down to earth, bring him over to
- 4:04Speaker 1: their house. That's cool. I like the wayther us utilizing
- 4:07Speaker 1: the girl's house. I like the way that with the
- 4:10Speaker 1: Nate date, Gabby brought him over like some morning mimosas,
- 4:14Speaker 1: and then they go and off and do their date thing.
- 4:18Speaker 1: But it's like, Okay, why don't you come over for
- 4:21Speaker 1: a minute before we do the thing? And that's seems
- 4:24Speaker 1: more real life. I didn't did you find that to
- 4:30Speaker 1: be a weird moment though I'm watching you think it's
- 4:33Speaker 1: weird because like Gabby and Rachel are both there. Yeah,
- 4:37Speaker 1: I think it's I don't think it's weird. I don't know.
- 4:39Speaker 1: It feels like a roommate situation. I feel like the
- 4:41Speaker 1: guys that they're taking on dates this week the two
- 4:44Speaker 1: of them particularly, there were definitely guys like Nate was
- 4:48Speaker 1: there for Gabby and Jordan was there for Rachel. I
- 4:51Speaker 1: don't think that they're like guys are competing over. If
- 4:54Speaker 1: there was a guy that they were competing over, like
- 4:56Speaker 1: Mario at this point, then that would be really awkward. Okay,
- 5:01Speaker 1: But am I missing this that? I don't know where
- 5:05Speaker 1: we found out who's into who? Like, are we just
- 5:07Speaker 1: getting this through passive like sentences being shared? I don't
- 5:11Speaker 1: feel like there's a clear boundary. I didn't know Nate
- 5:13Speaker 1: was only into Gabby. Okay, I'll say you're right, I
- 5:18Speaker 1: don't know about the Nate and Gabby sitch. I was
- 5:21Speaker 1: just vibing that. I think it was expected of us
- 5:24Speaker 1: to kind of vibe that. But how am I supposed to?
- 5:31Speaker 1: But didn't you know that Jordan's was for He said
- 5:35Speaker 1: made it. I mean, he made it clear that he
- 5:37Speaker 1: was there for Rachel. So yes, that makes more sense.
- 5:40Speaker 1: But I don't know where Nate fully stands. Maybe he
- 5:43Speaker 1: said it and I missed it, but I don't know
- 5:46Speaker 1: where he like confidently stands right now. And so then
- 5:48Speaker 1: he shows us they're like dating roommates, which I mean
- 5:53Speaker 1: has happened. It didn't feel awkward to me, well, because
- 5:57Speaker 1: they tried to both not make it feel awkward. They
- 5:59Speaker 1: both like to this is weird, but let's act like
- 6:01Speaker 1: we're having a good time and like catching up with
- 6:03Speaker 1: each other. But it's weird. And I mean, if Rachel
- 6:08Speaker 1: was into him, we would have heard a sound bite
- 6:10Speaker 1: of Rachel being like, I meant to him and this
- 6:12Speaker 1: is weird. Well, and Rachel kind of said, hey, I
- 6:15Speaker 1: see the relationship that Gabby and Nate are having and
- 6:18Speaker 1: I wish I wish it was kind of that way
- 6:19Speaker 1: with Jordan's or whatever. So we are getting the hints
- 6:22Speaker 1: of it. But if this is how the whole season
- 6:25Speaker 1: is going to go, where we're like not really getting
- 6:27Speaker 1: who's into who, I'm gonna be so confused. There's way
- 6:30Speaker 1: too many dudes for me to keep track of. I'm
- 6:32Speaker 1: gonna get so lost in this whole thing. And at
- 6:35Speaker 1: some point there's gonna be a guy that goes on
- 6:37Speaker 1: a date with Gabby that Rachel's into, and I'm gonna
- 6:40Speaker 1: miss that whole storyline because I'm not gonna know what
- 6:44Speaker 1: know the backstory. I want it clear, I need I
- 6:46Speaker 1: need clear cut. We'll eventually get clear cut. I think
- 6:52Speaker 1: the only one that we really see seriously overlapping is
- 6:54Speaker 1: I know, to jump to the end of the episode,
- 6:56Speaker 1: it was Mario. There's just no way actley, like, I
- 6:59Speaker 1: cannot get behind the idea that Mario is the only
- 7:02Speaker 1: guy they're going to compete after. There's got to be
- 7:05Speaker 1: a lot of dudes in the house. They're both like
- 7:06Speaker 1: eyeing right now, Like, right now we only see Mario
- 7:09Speaker 1: really being that person, but there's got to be a
- 7:12Speaker 1: ton more. I mean, there's just no way, like you
- 7:15Speaker 1: would just believe with that many dudes. Both these women
- 7:18Speaker 1: are going I like him and I like him, and
- 7:20Speaker 1: the guys right now are going, hey, I even got
- 7:22Speaker 1: to talk to either of them yet, so I don't
- 7:24Speaker 1: even know if what I'm into. I mean, let's go
- 7:27Speaker 1: back to where we left off. The guys get invited
- 7:30Speaker 1: to Gabby and Rachel's house, and that includes Logan and
- 7:35Speaker 1: Johnny and um Brandon, Avan, Jason, and Colin. So in
- 7:45Speaker 1: that day, what's sticking out to me is Johnny and
- 7:48Speaker 1: Logan because Logan kisses both of them and that's the
- 7:56Speaker 1: first time I say this. And Rachel's a little sad
- 8:02Speaker 1: because she was hoping that he was just kind of
- 8:05Speaker 1: showing her attention. This is I mean, okay, so let's
- 8:10Speaker 1: pause here. Everybody listening. We have the first group date.
- 8:13Speaker 1: Logan kisses both of them. I watch it and I go,
- 8:15Speaker 1: bad move, Logan, And then I think a step back
- 8:18Speaker 1: and go is it a bad move? Is this I
- 8:22Speaker 1: don't know? Is it disrespectful? Is it leading one of
- 8:25Speaker 1: them on? Is this just kind of the nature of
- 8:28Speaker 1: the environment and it's going to have to be this way?
- 8:31Speaker 1: Then I had to go, I don't know how I
- 8:32Speaker 1: feel about this, Like I'm not gonna like hate on
- 8:34Speaker 1: Logan for doing this, because I don't know what's right
- 8:36Speaker 1: and wrong right now. In this scenario, Gabby said she
- 8:40Speaker 1: felt her heart drop because she felt like she had
- 8:42Speaker 1: a connection with him, and I was like, this is
- 8:45Speaker 1: the moment we've been waiting for. If this is what
- 8:48Speaker 1: I asked the girls last week, I was like, was
- 8:49Speaker 1: there a time where you're like, oh, do you like him?
- 8:53Speaker 1: I like him? Blah blah blah, that where you're like, oh, god,
- 8:57Speaker 1: she kissed him. So they did experience at Eventually, Rachel
- 9:02Speaker 1: gives her roast Logan and Gabby gives her rose to
- 9:05Speaker 1: Johnny but I definitely think that Logan is somebody who
- 9:10Speaker 1: is just up in the air. It's probably like this
- 9:13Speaker 1: is what's awkward, And this is what Caitlin said this week.
- 9:15Speaker 1: Caitlin Bristow said, like it kind of is making her
- 9:18Speaker 1: sick seeing the two bachelorettes because eventually it will be
- 9:24Speaker 1: up to the guys to choose which one, and it
- 9:26Speaker 1: will be a choice that the men ultimately make because
- 9:30Speaker 1: what gets Gabby and Rachel both seemed to have interest?
- 9:33Speaker 1: So what Gabby and Rachel gonna convene and say, Okay,
- 9:37Speaker 1: I like him, but how much do you like him?
- 9:39Speaker 1: I think I like him a lot. Okay, well, I
- 9:41Speaker 1: like I think I like him a medium amount. You know. No,
- 9:44Speaker 1: it's gonna be the guy's decision. No, it's true. I mean,
- 9:49Speaker 1: I mean it's gonna have to be both right. Both
- 9:51Speaker 1: both sides are gonna have to agree to this. I mean,
- 9:53Speaker 1: if Logan continues to make their hearts drop and give
- 9:58Speaker 1: them get sad, I mean, he ain't gonna be onund awhile, like,
- 10:00Speaker 1: I just can't imagine they're both like, yeah, this is
- 10:02Speaker 1: cool and worth it, and so somebody's gonna lose out
- 10:04Speaker 1: either Logan or one of the girls that real they
- 10:06Speaker 1: like Logan. I do feel like it's gonna get messy,
- 10:10Speaker 1: And that's why I said I want it clear cut, Ashley,
- 10:12Speaker 1: Like I want a clear like I want to know
- 10:15Speaker 1: who's into who and who's gonna date who. I don't
- 10:18Speaker 1: gonna have to wait a few weeks. Then there's gonna
- 10:21Speaker 1: be a lot of damage done before that few weeks.
- 10:23Speaker 1: Like I'm not disagreeing with Caitlin where it's like it's
- 10:26Speaker 1: kind of makes me feel sick because I can't hate
- 10:28Speaker 1: on Logan for doing what he did. Like it's he's
- 10:31Speaker 1: dating two people at once. They both know he's dating
- 10:33Speaker 1: two people once. They're all trying to figure it out.
- 10:35Speaker 1: So I cannot say I cannot hate on him for
- 10:37Speaker 1: his decision. I can't say that was a bad decision.
- 10:40Speaker 1: I just said. When I watch it, it does make
- 10:43Speaker 1: me feel confused, maybe not sick to my stomach. I
- 10:45Speaker 1: think Caitlin probably has a little more of a visceral
- 10:48Speaker 1: like reaction to this because she's experienced this, uh and
- 10:52Speaker 1: and her you know, time on the Bachelortte. But I
- 10:55Speaker 1: do get confused, and confusion is not good for me.
- 10:58Speaker 1: When I watch TV I'm confused half of my life,
- 11:01Speaker 1: most of my days when I watched TV. I don't
- 11:03Speaker 1: want confusion. I want it very clear. You don't Confusion
- 11:08Speaker 1: may not be the right word for you. You don't
- 11:10Speaker 1: want an emotional conflict. No, I don't want emotional Understand
- 11:13Speaker 1: what's going on. You just feel bad for what's going on. Yeah,
- 11:17Speaker 1: I feel terrible. This sucks for for for really all sides.
- 11:20Speaker 1: I mean, you know, we can we can put these
- 11:22Speaker 1: guys and say, hey, we we really are upset that
- 11:26Speaker 1: ultimately it's going to become their choice. Right. Well, they
- 11:28Speaker 1: didn't necessarily agree to that at the beginning, but it's
- 11:30Speaker 1: just the way this whole format is going to play out.
- 11:33Speaker 1: We can also feel bad for the women and say, hey,
- 11:35Speaker 1: they're gonna be probably disappointed, and they're probably gonna have
- 11:38Speaker 1: moments of like chaos and uh, confusion themselves on how
- 11:43Speaker 1: to navigate this. Well, that's part of being the lead.
- 11:45Speaker 1: But it's not what they signed up for at the beginning,
- 11:47Speaker 1: or maybe as they said it was because they didn't
- 11:49Speaker 1: know who was going to be the bachelor, and they
- 11:51Speaker 1: didn't know both of them are gonna be a bachelor
- 11:53Speaker 1: until the night of I'm confused. Even speaking right now,
- 11:57Speaker 1: I'm word vomiting because I don't I can't make sense
- 11:59Speaker 1: of this yet. However, I go back to what I
- 12:01Speaker 1: said at the beginning. I am intrigued, I am interested,
- 12:04Speaker 1: and that's gonna keep me watching. Yeah, I agree with
- 12:08Speaker 1: Caitlin though. Okay, they keep saying they're not going to
- 12:12Speaker 1: put them against each other. As supportive as they are, Somebody,
- 12:18Speaker 1: somebody is going to be more hurt throughout this process,
- 12:20Speaker 1: I think. And then I think it's going to beg
- 12:22Speaker 1: the question at the end of the season, depending on
- 12:24Speaker 1: you know, how it all unfolds. Was it worth having
- 12:27Speaker 1: two bachelorettes? Wouldn't have been less hurtful to one of
- 12:30Speaker 1: them if one of them was the lead? Well, I
- 12:33Speaker 1: say this after our interview with them. What you can
- 12:36Speaker 1: tune into posted alonmost Family. You say they both seem happy.
- 12:40Speaker 1: I say, and I retaliate. That's not what I was
- 12:42Speaker 1: gonna say. That's not what I was going to say.
- 12:45Speaker 1: What I was gonna say is uh. The show itself,
- 12:49Speaker 1: as a as a holistic entity, is very lucky they
- 12:54Speaker 1: have Gabby and Rachel because if they had any two
- 12:57Speaker 1: people men or women, less supportive of each other and
- 13:02Speaker 1: less wanting to do this thing well, to support each
- 13:05Speaker 1: other and to see both people be happy at the end.
- 13:08Speaker 1: It would have really gotten ugly fast, and it would
- 13:11Speaker 1: have backfired fast, And I think it would have backfired
- 13:13Speaker 1: starting like week two, and all we would have been
- 13:15Speaker 1: watching is people getting hurt the whole time, both sides,
- 13:18Speaker 1: the leads and the contestants. Instead, we got to give
- 13:21Speaker 1: a lot of credit in this situation to Gaping Rachel
- 13:24Speaker 1: for when these situations come up, they look at each other,
- 13:27Speaker 1: they talk it out. They have the understanding, they have
- 13:30Speaker 1: their respect, they have the care for each other to
- 13:32Speaker 1: know that this is just the way it's gonna be
- 13:35Speaker 1: for a bit like it or not, it's the way
- 13:36Speaker 1: it's gonna be. And so can we do this thing
- 13:38Speaker 1: and love each other through the process. And so far,
- 13:41Speaker 1: so far, And if I had to put money down
- 13:44Speaker 1: on I would say it's gonna continue to exist for
- 13:47Speaker 1: the rest of the season. They have done a tremendous job,
- 13:50Speaker 1: the two of them of being there for each other
- 13:53Speaker 1: even when things are super awkward. Say what I said
- 13:55Speaker 1: last week, they're way better than I I could ever
- 14:00Speaker 1: do this with as much compassion and support I know
- 14:04Speaker 1: myself well enough that like I'd put myself first. These
- 14:08Speaker 1: girls are putting each other first. And this is a
- 14:11Speaker 1: friendship that's only been in existence for less than a year.
- 14:14Speaker 1: That is something that is some true true love. You know,
- 14:19Speaker 1: that's that's true love. Uh. Yeah. But and I have
- 14:23Speaker 1: to say I'm not like, I don't want to say
- 14:25Speaker 1: that I'm like not liking the format because I do.
- 14:27Speaker 1: I just I'm worried. I'm worried for them. I'm worried
- 14:31Speaker 1: that this is sort of like a woman against woman
- 14:35Speaker 1: thing at the end. But I'm still enjoying watching two
- 14:39Speaker 1: leads because I like the variety of it continuing, continuing. Yeah,
- 14:44Speaker 1: so there's a big moment in this episode. We're gonna
- 14:46Speaker 1: flash forward now too, away from the logan and away
- 14:49Speaker 1: from the group day uh situation where they dressed up
- 14:52Speaker 1: in speedos and showed off, which would have been my
- 14:54Speaker 1: worst nightmare, especially in the room. I've said it many times,
- 14:57Speaker 1: full of just absolutely jack do um. We saw a
- 15:02Speaker 1: little bit of the personalities kind of come out. We
- 15:04Speaker 1: obviously saw Chris has come out at that point, and
- 15:07Speaker 1: I think there was some like this feels like a
- 15:09Speaker 1: little odd to be saying on your first group date.
- 15:12Speaker 1: That like, you're there to motivate and you're the leader
- 15:15Speaker 1: and you're the head dude here. I mean that was
- 15:17Speaker 1: just like okay. So we get to the next scene,
- 15:20Speaker 1: which is Rachel's very first one on one with somebody
- 15:25Speaker 1: who I think had a lot of fans support. He's
- 15:27Speaker 1: good looking dude. He seemed very nice. He seemed uh,
- 15:32Speaker 1: very I don't want to use the word normal, because
- 15:35Speaker 1: I don't know if anybody's just like normal, but he
- 15:37Speaker 1: just seemed like somebody you would want to get to
- 15:39Speaker 1: know better. He's a race car driver's name is Jordan's.
- 15:44Speaker 1: I thought he was so sweet, So yeah, it's about him.
- 15:48Speaker 1: So they go on one on one date. They have
- 15:50Speaker 1: a lot of fun. I'm watching this whole date and
- 15:52Speaker 1: I'm like, this guy is gonna be around. Awhile he
- 15:54Speaker 1: has the first one on one, they're making out and
- 15:57Speaker 1: zero gravity. They're you know, having a blast. Then they
- 16:00Speaker 1: go to dinner and he starts opening up and sharing
- 16:03Speaker 1: his story. This is where I'll pass it off to you. Actually,
- 16:06Speaker 1: because things didn't go as expected and the Bachelor Nation,
- 16:13Speaker 1: social media following reacted strongly to say the least, oh
- 16:19Speaker 1: please please inform me. I was, I was at Audrey's
- 16:22Speaker 1: and not keeping up with the social media componment. People
- 16:25Speaker 1: were sad that he's gone mad. Yeah, like your first
- 16:30Speaker 1: big controversy. No, we see controversy for the leads throughout
- 16:33Speaker 1: this whole season. This is something that will come and
- 16:35Speaker 1: go very quickly. People will forget as soon as the
- 16:38Speaker 1: season progresses. But at least for this episode, as we
- 16:41Speaker 1: sit here and talk about it, Fascination was very disheartened
- 16:44Speaker 1: that he went home. They also felt, and this is
- 16:47Speaker 1: why I'd like you to speak to this. They also
- 16:49Speaker 1: felt like, uh, he got a row into the deal
- 16:52Speaker 1: because he opened up about his life and then was
- 16:55Speaker 1: kind of sent home following, and like what he felt
- 16:59Speaker 1: about that, what he thought about a lot of it
- 17:00Speaker 1: was poor Jordan's I feel bad for Jordan. That was
- 17:03Speaker 1: kind of the sentiment. He was awkward talking about the
- 17:08Speaker 1: family issues, a little cryptic about it. It was like
- 17:11Speaker 1: he was holding back a little bit. But then again,
- 17:13Speaker 1: you want to keep your family ship private, right, so
- 17:16Speaker 1: you can't really fault him for that, especially this early
- 17:20Speaker 1: on the process. If that was the kind of, you know,
- 17:23Speaker 1: vague conversation that he had a couple of weeks in
- 17:27Speaker 1: then you could be like, oh, he's struggling to open up.
- 17:29Speaker 1: I'm not connecting. I get it. But it was weird
- 17:32Speaker 1: because it seemed like they were having flirtatious conversation chemistry
- 17:38Speaker 1: in the zero gravity thing, and then they sit down
- 17:40Speaker 1: at dinner and all of a sudden, it's gone. I
- 17:43Speaker 1: felt like she should have chalked it up to it
- 17:46Speaker 1: being like him being awkward, him being nervous, and him
- 17:50Speaker 1: just starting to get used to this whole thing, and
- 17:53Speaker 1: kept him around a little bit longer. Keep him around,
- 17:56Speaker 1: even if it's just one or two more weeks. You
- 17:59Speaker 1: had that great moment night one. I thought he was adorable.
- 18:03Speaker 1: I was excited selfishly to watch him because I, as
- 18:08Speaker 1: a viewer, just felt connected to him. It is disappointed
- 18:11Speaker 1: he's not going to be around. I would say he
- 18:14Speaker 1: should be a shoe and for Paradise, well, yeah, that
- 18:17Speaker 1: he will be. I mean he should be. But the
- 18:21Speaker 1: thing here, I mean, I've gone through this process, as
- 18:25Speaker 1: everybody knows, and I it's so early on. You don't
- 18:30Speaker 1: know much about any of these people yet, and everybody's
- 18:33Speaker 1: still very nervous. If Caitlin Bristo would have sent me
- 18:36Speaker 1: home because I was awkward. Well, I would have been
- 18:38Speaker 1: going home every day for the first two weeks of
- 18:41Speaker 1: this show. Look at Coltlan Hannah Brown, she had the
- 18:44Speaker 1: most awkward first day, so weird. And so there is
- 18:48Speaker 1: this level when you're the lead that you have to
- 18:50Speaker 1: ask yourself, okay, am I endo this person? And as
- 18:53Speaker 1: Rachel was saying, she she found him interesting, but her
- 18:57Speaker 1: gut was telling her that he wasn't the one. Okay cool,
- 19:00Speaker 1: but this week too. You almost want to keep your
- 19:05Speaker 1: strongest connections alive for as long as possible, so that
- 19:09Speaker 1: when you're down to the end in the final six
- 19:11Speaker 1: and you're traveling the world together and you're going on
- 19:13Speaker 1: these full day dates and you're seeing them every like
- 19:17Speaker 1: two days, that you have the people there that at
- 19:21Speaker 1: least you enjoyed being around. You mean, you're like initial first, yeah,
- 19:26Speaker 1: you gravitational polls, you said you said you're strong at
- 19:30Speaker 1: you you just said you're strong um connections, Well, she
- 19:33Speaker 1: was saying, I'm not feeling a strong a connection. However,
- 19:37Speaker 1: it was one of those moments where at first there
- 19:41Speaker 1: was that thing. So keep the keep those people around
- 19:44Speaker 1: for a little long longer you have to. That's kind
- 19:48Speaker 1: of the art of the road ceremony because when you
- 19:51Speaker 1: get asked who are you sending home tonight before you
- 19:53Speaker 1: walk out, then you go through it and if there's
- 19:57Speaker 1: a big group you're trying to send home the pe
- 20:00Speaker 1: bowl that there's no pull towards like that's kind of
- 20:04Speaker 1: the first few weeks, like zero, like you, it's not
- 20:07Speaker 1: physical attraction. It's the most physical attraction to us. So
- 20:10Speaker 1: you've got to keep him around. In my opinion, you
- 20:12Speaker 1: just have to. I think I think at some point
- 20:14Speaker 1: we're gonna look back and be like, yeah, Jordan could
- 20:16Speaker 1: have been in the six spot, fifth spot, whatever. But
- 20:19Speaker 1: she sent him home shockingly to the audience, shocking to him.
- 20:24Speaker 1: Do you know what I was so wanting in this moment?
- 20:26Speaker 1: And I'll say this a little could confuse She's like,
- 20:31Speaker 1: I'm not going to give you this rose. So my
- 20:34Speaker 1: thought was, well, does it get to go back to
- 20:35Speaker 1: the house and try things with Gabby or is it
- 20:39Speaker 1: because he said episode one, I'm here specifically for you
- 20:44Speaker 1: that him not getting a rose on that date meant
- 20:46Speaker 1: immediate elimination. Oh jeez, yeah, you're right. As a contestant,
- 20:51Speaker 1: that little you know he was thinking it? Yeah, the
- 20:55Speaker 1: little hint would be leave your options wide open for
- 20:57Speaker 1: as long as possible now, because if you go on
- 21:00Speaker 1: date with one and you know the show doesn't know
- 21:02Speaker 1: who you're really into, maybe go back home, because you
- 21:06Speaker 1: would think if Gabby had any interest in in Jordan's
- 21:10Speaker 1: that she, like Rachel, would have also had to talk
- 21:12Speaker 1: to Gabby and be like, is it cool if we
- 21:13Speaker 1: send him home? I think there's a missing piece there.
- 21:16Speaker 1: I bet you something like that was filmed some sort
- 21:19Speaker 1: of powow. I was so weird that when she was like,
- 21:23Speaker 1: can I walk? But then again no, there wasn't She
- 21:26Speaker 1: said yeah unless there because she said can I walk
- 21:29Speaker 1: you out? And I was like, are you walking him out?
- 21:32Speaker 1: To go back to the mansion to maybe stort these
- 21:34Speaker 1: things out? Like what if um, Rachel had Logan or
- 21:39Speaker 1: Mario on the date and if she said, hey, I'm
- 21:42Speaker 1: not feeling it, I'm not going to give you this rose.
- 21:44Speaker 1: I think those guys would have gone back to the house.
- 21:49Speaker 1: You know there's a missing piece. I don't. I don't
- 21:50Speaker 1: understand it. Yeah, I guess I I don't fully understand
- 21:53Speaker 1: where how this works yet, because I think it was
- 21:56Speaker 1: shocking that Jordan just is gone, He's out of there.
- 21:59Speaker 1: Gabby has no out with him. He's so adorable. I
- 22:01Speaker 1: really did want to say, we'll see more of them,
- 22:03Speaker 1: We'll see more. Okay, So onto the second one on
- 22:07Speaker 1: one day Gabby's time and she invites Nate. The card
- 22:13Speaker 1: says me at meet me at my place. He has
- 22:16Speaker 1: bring a bathing suit. Nate shows up to Gabby's place
- 22:21Speaker 1: where Rachel is at. We just talked about it. Kind
- 22:23Speaker 1: of I felt like it was awkward. You felt like
- 22:25Speaker 1: it was whatever. It's kind of how it has to
- 22:27Speaker 1: be a little weird. Okay, fine it was. I think
- 22:32Speaker 1: you think it was weird, and I thought it was fine.
- 22:35Speaker 1: I would love to know what the general consensus was. Okay.
- 22:48Speaker 1: So then they go in a helicopter and fun helicopter
- 22:52Speaker 1: bachelor date with Gabby? Is anything going to be awkward?
- 22:57Speaker 1: She just seems like she's out to have fun and
- 22:59Speaker 1: really is like not taking anything seriously. Yeah, I know
- 23:03Speaker 1: she is taking it seriously, but when she's out on
- 23:05Speaker 1: a date, like I feel like she could just enjoy
- 23:09Speaker 1: time with anyone. Oh yeah, Because I think she's one
- 23:11Speaker 1: of those people that just you know, keeps it lighthearted
- 23:14Speaker 1: for as long as she can until a moment where
- 23:16Speaker 1: and we see it with you know the show. At
- 23:18Speaker 1: some point you know it's going to get very serious,
- 23:22Speaker 1: but until then, she seems like a great time, like
- 23:25Speaker 1: a really good person to hang out with and have
- 23:27Speaker 1: fun with. Nate was nervous. I don't know if you
- 23:30Speaker 1: could tell in his voice, but he kind of was
- 23:32Speaker 1: like had that like little like stuttery voice going on,
- 23:35Speaker 1: and she repeated himself too, Yeah, and she immediately kind
- 23:41Speaker 1: of calmed his nerves and made him feel super comfortable there,
- 23:45Speaker 1: which is great because there is a lot of nat
- 23:47Speaker 1: that we want to see. So, Ashley, what did you
- 23:50Speaker 1: think about them? They playing out, they went to the helicopter,
- 23:52Speaker 1: read they landed, they got in a hot tub shockingly, Uh,
- 23:56Speaker 1: this is the classic bachelor day helicopter and yeah, so
- 24:01Speaker 1: what did you think about the date? Is there a
- 24:03Speaker 1: connection there? H? Is there something serious? Is Nate one
- 24:07Speaker 1: to watch? Nate's definitely want to watch. I think he's
- 24:10Speaker 1: very I like him. I don't know that there's like
- 24:16Speaker 1: I actually need like comparisons, do you know what I mean?
- 24:19Speaker 1: Like I need these girls to really super connect with
- 24:22Speaker 1: somebody so I know what the threshold is so that
- 24:26Speaker 1: I can then put I could compare connections amongst the
- 24:31Speaker 1: highest of the high, right, Yeah, well right now it's Tino.
- 24:34Speaker 1: But Tino, obviously because he has a good connection. We
- 24:37Speaker 1: didn't see anything from me. He disappears for like the
- 24:39Speaker 1: next three weeks, then he'll pop up again. Exactly what
- 24:44Speaker 1: stood out about Nate's day? It was obviously him getting
- 24:46Speaker 1: emotional talking about his daughter, who's six, and there's a
- 24:50Speaker 1: video out there of him braiding her hair and it's
- 24:53Speaker 1: absolutely adorable. And Gabby she, you know, it's very accepting
- 24:59Speaker 1: of the fact that he has a daughter, and she
- 25:02Speaker 1: loved the way you talked about her. But there's not
- 25:04Speaker 1: much to say beyond that. Do you feel I would
- 25:07Speaker 1: only say there's something to watch, not watch out for
- 25:09Speaker 1: in the sense if it's bad, but watch out for
- 25:11Speaker 1: where Gabby, you know, I don't know if she considered
- 25:15Speaker 1: the fact that from this experience, she would, you know,
- 25:17Speaker 1: potentially be a mom very soon after. I think that's
- 25:20Speaker 1: something that is going to be a storyline to follow.
- 25:23Speaker 1: Is Gabby ready to walk out of this and take
- 25:26Speaker 1: on a child? Um? Some from the franchise have been
- 25:29Speaker 1: that's awesome. Some from the franchise haven't been that's great. Too,
- 25:32Speaker 1: but it's just a storyline to follow is where is
- 25:35Speaker 1: Gabby at in her process of you know, working, you
- 25:41Speaker 1: know on a relationship with Nate while at the same
- 25:42Speaker 1: time knowing that if they are together, she could be
- 25:45Speaker 1: a mom very soon. So something to follow, something to watch. Well. Uh,
- 25:50Speaker 1: Nate gets the rose, goes back to the house. It's
- 25:51Speaker 1: now time for the final rose ceremony, or not the
- 25:55Speaker 1: final but the rose ceremony of the first the first
- 25:58Speaker 1: rose ceremony. They have a cocktail party. Uh, we've gotten
- 26:02Speaker 1: to see bits and pieces of Chris. I think that's
- 26:05Speaker 1: one thing that we should just kind of gloss over.
- 26:07Speaker 1: We've talked about it, but Chris at this point is
- 26:09Speaker 1: kind of mentioning how he believes he's going to be
- 26:12Speaker 1: there on the final four. He just knows he is.
- 26:14Speaker 1: He's saying this to all the guys and that he
- 26:16Speaker 1: is setting stipulations which we've seen in the past. Also
- 26:20Speaker 1: that if she's if any of the women that he's
- 26:23Speaker 1: with sleeps with somebody else in the fantasy suite, it's
- 26:26Speaker 1: a no go for him. We're in week two, barely
- 26:29Speaker 1: week two. We're kind of like, what week one and
- 26:30Speaker 1: a half because they've never had a road ceremony. They've
- 26:33Speaker 1: just now all started to talk to the people, to
- 26:35Speaker 1: the to the women, and he's making these pretty strong
- 26:39Speaker 1: claims on how it's gonna go for him. This is
- 26:42Speaker 1: his experience, which, hey, it is two sides, but at
- 26:46Speaker 1: this point, so your role buddy, Also, don't tell a
- 26:49Speaker 1: bunch of dudes who are also trying to press out
- 26:51Speaker 1: that you're gonna be there in the final four, because
- 26:53Speaker 1: that's never a good look. I don't love his demeanor.
- 26:56Speaker 1: I do think he comes across condescending. I think it's
- 26:59Speaker 1: I think he should not be talking about himself per
- 27:02Speaker 1: se in that top four position. So yeah, I do think,
- 27:10Speaker 1: and maybe I'm gonna get shipped for this, but I
- 27:12Speaker 1: think it was maybe a little bit of an overreaction
- 27:14Speaker 1: on everybody's part um that he was talking about how
- 27:17Speaker 1: he would deal with fantasy suites, like I, like I said,
- 27:21Speaker 1: like his tone not not most likable. I get it,
- 27:26Speaker 1: But but I think it's fine for us to talk
- 27:29Speaker 1: about how you would hit would perceivably if you got
- 27:34Speaker 1: that far handle situation like that, especially since it's been
- 27:39Speaker 1: such a drama point the past couple of years. I
- 27:42Speaker 1: think you can talk about how you would handle it.
- 27:45Speaker 1: I think it's weird to maybe put yourself there being
- 27:49Speaker 1: like I will be there, so this is how I
- 27:52Speaker 1: will handle it. I think you have to say use
- 27:56Speaker 1: language like if I were to ever get there, I
- 27:59Speaker 1: would would like it to unfold like this. This is
- 28:02Speaker 1: how I can see myself maybe one day handling the situation.
- 28:06Speaker 1: It's all about how you word it right a little bit.
- 28:09Speaker 1: Here's here's my argument. There's a little bit of awareness
- 28:12Speaker 1: social awareness needed here too. I don't know, I know,
- 28:17Speaker 1: but I don't believe that conversation ever needs to exist
- 28:20Speaker 1: with other cast members. It's weird enough, you know. Back
- 28:24Speaker 1: in the day, I was very much against even talking
- 28:26Speaker 1: about kissing the lead if you were a cast member
- 28:29Speaker 1: with other cast members. I thought that was a little
- 28:32Speaker 1: bit odd, right, even when I was on The Bachelor
- 28:34Speaker 1: at that talked talked about your best friends. Yeah, you
- 28:40Speaker 1: just don't share that stuff because it is sensitive, and
- 28:43Speaker 1: as the feelings increase, it gets really hard to navigate
- 28:47Speaker 1: those emotions of I really care about this person, maybe
- 28:49Speaker 1: I love this person, and I know they're still out
- 28:52Speaker 1: there dating other people, and so it just is kind
- 28:55Speaker 1: of that like boundary. It's like, what awareness do you
- 28:57Speaker 1: have and who are you speaking to? And why are
- 28:59Speaker 1: you hearing this with him? What are you hoping to
- 29:02Speaker 1: get from this moment where you're sharing this really strong
- 29:05Speaker 1: feeling with other cast members? Where do you hope this goes?
- 29:08Speaker 1: Do you hope they all agree with you? Do they
- 29:09Speaker 1: hope they you rally they rally around you? Do they
- 29:11Speaker 1: hope Do you hope they come behind you and support
- 29:13Speaker 1: you and tell the women, Hey, make sure that you're
- 29:15Speaker 1: good because Chris is so great you can't sleep with
- 29:18Speaker 1: anybody else and you need to be with him in
- 29:19Speaker 1: the end. I don't know what he was hoping from
- 29:21Speaker 1: this other than just to start talking now. If he
- 29:24Speaker 1: sat down with Rachel or Gabby and he shared with him, hey,
- 29:27Speaker 1: this is kind of where I'm thinking at some point
- 29:29Speaker 1: when it was appropriate, I would have a really hard time.
- 29:32Speaker 1: And I've already been thinking about the fantasy suits. I've
- 29:35Speaker 1: already been thinking about what that's gonna look like, and
- 29:37Speaker 1: I'm having a hard time processing how I would handle
- 29:40Speaker 1: it if I knew I cared so much about you too,
- 29:42Speaker 1: that that you could be with somebody else and I
- 29:45Speaker 1: needs need you to walk through this with me as
- 29:47Speaker 1: a partner totally different scenario, but he's sharing it with
- 29:51Speaker 1: the whole world. Hey, I'm gonna be there to Final four.
- 29:54Speaker 1: And if they sleep with anybody other than me, and
- 29:57Speaker 1: I don't know if he said himself, but they if
- 29:59Speaker 1: they sleep around uh during the fantasy sweet dates, which
- 30:02Speaker 1: is up to them, then I'm out. Like, no matter what,
- 30:07Speaker 1: no matter what I'm feeling, that's not my wife, I'm out.
- 30:08Speaker 1: It's like, well, good, because you're gonna be going home tonight.
- 30:12Speaker 1: You're definitely out. You're not going to even make it
- 30:14Speaker 1: past the first week and a half, all right, I
- 30:16Speaker 1: guess you're right. I guess it's all in the way
- 30:18Speaker 1: that you say it is straying to talk about it
- 30:21Speaker 1: in a group setting. I guess I'm thinking about like
- 30:24Speaker 1: from like my experience, Like I would sit around with
- 30:28Speaker 1: like a clip of my closest friends and like kind
- 30:31Speaker 1: of imagine like if we got to a certain point.
- 30:34Speaker 1: But I don't think you would ever. I would never ever,
- 30:37Speaker 1: And I don't I don't remember anybody acting as if
- 30:40Speaker 1: they would be at that point that early on. No,
- 30:44Speaker 1: I mean, it's just that just felt like a pretty
- 30:47Speaker 1: good red flag to say, hey, it's time for you
- 30:49Speaker 1: to go home, Chris. This is no longer for you.
- 30:52Speaker 1: This isn't gonna be for you, and so you're out now.
- 30:55Speaker 1: The interesting part is they do send Chris home. They
- 30:57Speaker 1: both talked to him. I think they handle it really well.
- 31:00Speaker 1: They're both pretty fired up. I could tell. It is
- 31:02Speaker 1: one of those moments where they're like, no, you aren't
- 31:03Speaker 1: gonna step on our parade and uh then he comes back. Yeah,
- 31:10Speaker 1: that was freaking weird. And I loved the way it
- 31:12Speaker 1: was shot. The scenes, all the guys you see the cameras.
- 31:18Speaker 1: It was dramatic. I love it when they break the
- 31:22Speaker 1: fourth law like that. I wish they would do it
- 31:24Speaker 1: more often. Yeah, I feel bad for like I won't
- 31:28Speaker 1: say his name, but one of the audio engineers is
- 31:30Speaker 1: like standing there and he's like working on stuff, and
- 31:32Speaker 1: then all of a sudden you see him like have
- 31:34Speaker 1: to move out of the way for Chris. He kind
- 31:35Speaker 1: of gets hit and he looks up. He's like, oh crap,
- 31:37Speaker 1: and then he sees the camera like on him and
- 31:39Speaker 1: he has to like dodge behind somebody. Um, but what
- 31:43Speaker 1: a great scene. I mean, all three hundred of the
- 31:45Speaker 1: dudes from this season are standing there watching this thing
- 31:48Speaker 1: play out. I Uh, I want to know what Chris
- 31:52Speaker 1: was thinking. I think we should have mom, because I
- 31:55Speaker 1: want to know what he was hoping to get out
- 31:56Speaker 1: of that moment, other than just to find out that yes,
- 31:59Speaker 1: many people from the house shared that you were saying this,
- 32:03Speaker 1: and that like not a lot of people were in
- 32:05Speaker 1: agreeance with you. I wonder if he just couldn't come
- 32:07Speaker 1: to terms with the fact that maybe he was wrong,
- 32:10Speaker 1: maybe his thought process wasn't as great as he thought
- 32:13Speaker 1: it could be or thought it was going to come off.
- 32:16Speaker 1: But Chris's home, going home now that the leads Rachel
- 32:19Speaker 1: and Gabby Uh stand up to him, say get out
- 32:22Speaker 1: of here, you don't belong here, and then we move
- 32:24Speaker 1: into a rose ceremony, a rose ceremony that I don't
- 32:29Speaker 1: think I had a lot of shocking exits. Really, I
- 32:33Speaker 1: don't think there's anything from that to mention. Do you
- 32:35Speaker 1: have anything? Absolutely nothing to mention To the point where
- 32:38Speaker 1: I even forget them saying goodbye to the guys, I
- 32:42Speaker 1: don't think they ever did. It was very very quick,
- 32:45Speaker 1: like they kind of said, hey, say say goodbyes. They
- 32:48Speaker 1: showed the dudes kind of hugging out. Oh yeah, well,
- 32:51Speaker 1: I was actually shocked that Ryan got eliminated, not because
- 32:55Speaker 1: I saw a great romance about to form with one
- 32:58Speaker 1: of the girls with him, but just because they showed
- 33:00Speaker 1: a lot of him on Night one. Yeah, I was like,
- 33:03Speaker 1: I'm surprised too. So here's the guys that went home, Ryan, Matt,
- 33:06Speaker 1: John Brandon, and Colin. Good luck if you know any
- 33:09Speaker 1: of those people or if you could put a face
- 33:11Speaker 1: to the name at this point in this season, But Ryan, Matt,
- 33:14Speaker 1: John Brandon, and Colin are going home. That leaves us
- 33:18Speaker 1: Jason Avan, Eric Zack, Jordan, Quincy, Michael, Tino, Jacob Tyler, Termain, Hayden, Meatball,
- 33:25Speaker 1: poor Guy, Kirk Spencer, alec Ethan Mario left to continue,
- 33:31Speaker 1: as well as Logan and Johnny. You all had roses
- 33:34Speaker 1: going into that ceremony, the really crazy weird, weird, weird,
- 33:37Speaker 1: weird weird part, and I was trying to understand if
- 33:40Speaker 1: I was understanding correctly. I was like, wait a second,
- 33:43Speaker 1: Am I getting this right? Is this Mario the say
- 33:45Speaker 1: Mario from last week? The Mario that both of them
- 33:48Speaker 1: seemed into in this episode? Why do they wait to
- 33:51Speaker 1: the last rose for him? No? Was it a matter
- 33:55Speaker 1: of who was the one that was actually handing the
- 33:57Speaker 1: rose because they were saying, the roses come from both
- 34:01Speaker 1: girls equally. You know, we're we collectively as a pair
- 34:05Speaker 1: or extending you this rose. Here's my come on now,
- 34:09Speaker 1: right Rachel was handing Tino the rose. It seems to
- 34:14Speaker 1: have some sort of meeting behind who was actually doing
- 34:17Speaker 1: the handing. Well, I think it hints to a storyline
- 34:20Speaker 1: that we should follow for the rest of the season,
- 34:21Speaker 1: which is gonna be that Mario is probably, um you
- 34:28Speaker 1: representive a of what this is going to look like
- 34:31Speaker 1: when things get a little messy and both people are
- 34:33Speaker 1: gonna be into Mario. Mario is going to be into
- 34:35Speaker 1: both of them. They're gonna all gonna try to figure
- 34:37Speaker 1: it out. They probably I won't know how to do
- 34:40Speaker 1: it perfectly ever, but somehow this will be a storyline
- 34:43Speaker 1: now that we follow because I think him getting the
- 34:46Speaker 1: last rose, and I think how the roses passed out
- 34:48Speaker 1: is just hinting foreshadowing uh if I say so, uh
- 34:52Speaker 1: for what is to come in the future, which will
- 34:55Speaker 1: be interesting to watch. We all knew it was going
- 34:56Speaker 1: to happen at some point. Uh, Ashley, that was a
- 34:59Speaker 1: crazy break down, A lot to talk about, but we
- 35:02Speaker 1: have a lot of headlines. We're gonna get to a
- 35:05Speaker 1: few of them today. We'll get to a few others
- 35:07Speaker 1: next week. So let's take a break and come back
- 35:10Speaker 1: with Bachelor headlines. Signed for Bachelor Headlines with our expert,
- 35:25Speaker 1: Ashley I Connettie. Oh, I'm an expert, you are an expert.
- 35:29Speaker 1: Here we go. First one is this Ivan Hall seemingly
- 35:32Speaker 1: trolls Deandra over Nate dating speculation. This is a whole video,
- 35:38Speaker 1: so like the proof is in the pudding. Actually, what's
- 35:41Speaker 1: it all about? Okay? For those who don't know, there's
- 35:44Speaker 1: like some speculation that Deandra might be having something going
- 35:50Speaker 1: on romantically with Nate Michelle's X. They were spotted at
- 35:55Speaker 1: his birthday party earlier this month and she appeared to
- 36:01Speaker 1: be wearing his chain necklace. And it was also the
- 36:06Speaker 1: same weekend that Michelle blocked around followed Nate. UM and
- 36:12Speaker 1: then Ivan and Deandra did a little Q and Q
- 36:18Speaker 1: and I a little Instagram live together and he um
- 36:23Speaker 1: he asked, he asked her to describe her type and
- 36:30Speaker 1: the and then um she said something like she's like
- 36:34Speaker 1: I don't know Nate or or something. That's what she said,
- 36:37Speaker 1: like probably like Nate or something. And then Ivan was
- 36:42Speaker 1: like shocked and said who um, and they laughed and
- 36:48Speaker 1: she said, I'm kidding. You know, how do I say this?
- 36:51Speaker 1: Guys who have a bit more swag, I feel like
- 36:56Speaker 1: me um, like a pro athlete, you know, Guys a
- 36:59Speaker 1: little more slag, Guys who are into fashion. Yeah, there's
- 37:02Speaker 1: some hinting now at at this thing being a thing.
- 37:07Speaker 1: It's been rumored for a bit. We don't have any
- 37:09Speaker 1: clear knowledge that they are dating or hanging out, but
- 37:12Speaker 1: we've seen video now of them together. We have this
- 37:15Speaker 1: interview to pull back on. If you remember when we
- 37:18Speaker 1: interviewed DeAndre, she had mentioned that Ivan is one of
- 37:22Speaker 1: her closest friends. So we're gonna watch this as it
- 37:26Speaker 1: plays out, because it's gonna get uh, gonna be a
- 37:29Speaker 1: story to follow. And if they ever come out publicly,
- 37:31Speaker 1: I think, I don't know. I think it could be
- 37:36Speaker 1: hard for many people. Now if they're happy what you know,
- 37:39Speaker 1: they're dating, their figuring out, but it could be hard
- 37:41Speaker 1: for many people. And and it may be hints to
- 37:43Speaker 1: some of Michelle's emotions during our crossover episode with them,
- 37:47Speaker 1: where she seemed still trying to process what had just happened. Uh.
- 37:53Speaker 1: During my jaw. It's dropped, it's dropped. I can't believe that.
- 37:59Speaker 1: I know, I know, we gotta, we gotta go through
- 38:01Speaker 1: the quick, but I just need to know, Well, what
- 38:04Speaker 1: was she thinking saying his name directly like that? Like? What? Okay? Bye,
- 38:08Speaker 1: moving on, moving on. Next story is this? It's one
- 38:12Speaker 1: that has been all across uh, Twitter and social media
- 38:17Speaker 1: this last week. I don't really understand it, so actually
- 38:19Speaker 1: I'll need you here to explain it to me. Here's
- 38:22Speaker 1: the headline. Joe, Natasha, and Tia weigh in on the
- 38:25Speaker 1: Nick Vile and Katie Thurston drama, plus thoughts on Slussgate.
- 38:30Speaker 1: I I don't know what slus Gate is. I've seen.
- 38:33Speaker 1: I think I understand the Nick Vile and Katie Thurston
- 38:36Speaker 1: drama just from what I've been able to pick up on.
- 38:40Speaker 1: But it's been everywhere. What's going on? Can you explain this?
- 38:43Speaker 1: Because I don't even understand this? Like Nick has a
- 38:47Speaker 1: text that said that Katie was going to pick Blake
- 38:51Speaker 1: all along, so that everything with Greg was an over
- 38:56Speaker 1: exaggeration and she shouldn't have freaked out the way she did.
- 39:00Speaker 1: She knew she's gonna pick Blake all along. And then
- 39:03Speaker 1: like Nick revealed this, and then Katie said, like, Nick
- 39:07Speaker 1: is blocked on my phone for a reason. Am I
- 39:10Speaker 1: getting this right? You're getting it right. There is an
- 39:14Speaker 1: element here where we have written down where Blake Hurtzman's
- 39:16Speaker 1: then as came out against Nick, saying that he's a
- 39:19Speaker 1: hypocrite because Nick is sharing text on his podcast and
- 39:23Speaker 1: he was mad at Blake for sharing texts about Kaylin
- 39:26Speaker 1: back in the day, uh, you know, from Paradise. And
- 39:30Speaker 1: so then it kind of spiraled. I would say into
- 39:34Speaker 1: uh kind of the team Nick or team Katie and
- 39:37Speaker 1: Blake uh sides and people started to get upset. And
- 39:42Speaker 1: then Natasha, Joe and Tia weighed in on this whole situation,
- 39:46Speaker 1: and it sounds like they took Nick side, and people
- 39:50Speaker 1: didn't like that because they said they're company people at
- 39:53Speaker 1: least according to this, And so everybody's up in arms. Uh.
- 39:57Speaker 1: Some people are on his team Nick, some people are
- 39:59Speaker 1: on team Katie. But it feels like there is just
- 40:03Speaker 1: a lot of This is what it feels like me
- 40:05Speaker 1: because I don't think we'll ever makes sense of this
- 40:06Speaker 1: whole thing. I don't think we're ever going to get
- 40:08Speaker 1: to the bottom of where all this is coming from.
- 40:10Speaker 1: What it feels like to me is we're getting a glimpse,
- 40:12Speaker 1: like a very top level glimpse of a lot of uh,
- 40:18Speaker 1: controversy and probably upset feelings that have happened behind the
- 40:23Speaker 1: scenes now for the last year, and now we're just
- 40:26Speaker 1: getting like a taste of some stuff coming out. Okay,
- 40:29Speaker 1: so let's not watch the blues Gate. And it is
- 40:31Speaker 1: sort of sort of related because Katie is saying that
- 40:35Speaker 1: she has a whole bunch of tea and she's spilling it.
- 40:37Speaker 1: One of those ta hot items is that she has
- 40:42Speaker 1: this photo of Hannah and s louse Um on a
- 40:47Speaker 1: cart down in the resort in Palm Springs in which
- 40:52Speaker 1: Tasia and Claire season was taken, and it was supposedly
- 40:55Speaker 1: taken that same summer. I think the reference here, or
- 41:01Speaker 1: the tea that she's trying to mildly spill, is that
- 41:06Speaker 1: Hannah Anne may have been in the running to take
- 41:09Speaker 1: over claire spot instead of Tassia, and it was all
- 41:13Speaker 1: like that that the decisions were made like there in
- 41:16Speaker 1: the moment. I don't know if anybody even knows that
- 41:20Speaker 1: that was truly Katie's intention, but I'm pretty sure that's
- 41:23Speaker 1: what sleuth Gate is about well, I will say this
- 41:28Speaker 1: to make sense of all of this now, to kind
- 41:29Speaker 1: of summarize it. They have multiple people pick for leads
- 41:33Speaker 1: each season. Now they might have a favorite, but sometimes
- 41:36Speaker 1: negotiation on pay and all that goes up until the
- 41:40Speaker 1: very last minute, and so they always have like a
- 41:42Speaker 1: backup option around and there, I mean until the bachelor
- 41:46Speaker 1: Bachelor is announced. Then there are some like plan B
- 41:51Speaker 1: and c's and so maybe Hannah and was like a
- 41:54Speaker 1: Plan B, and Tassia was Plan A, and they brought
- 41:56Speaker 1: Hannah Anna and just in case Tasha couldn't make it,
- 41:59Speaker 1: or maybe back then she had COVID and wouldn't be
- 42:02Speaker 1: able to film, and so they had to have some
- 42:04Speaker 1: other options available. I don't know, I'm just assuming that
- 42:07Speaker 1: if she was there, Yeah, she's probably in the running.
- 42:10Speaker 1: Like is that shocking now? Of course? And they're on names. Yeah,
- 42:14Speaker 1: she was of course in the running. Okay. The Nick
- 42:16Speaker 1: situation with Katie Thurston sounds like the two of them,
- 42:19Speaker 1: uh you know, are at odds. And it sounds like
- 42:22Speaker 1: for whatever reason, Katie has blocked Nick and it sounds
- 42:25Speaker 1: like Nick is upset with Katie, and so the two
- 42:28Speaker 1: of them have came out publicly now and did this
- 42:31Speaker 1: on social media, and then Clickbait came out and shared
- 42:34Speaker 1: their opinions on the matter. I think most Bachelination feels
- 42:40Speaker 1: like they took Nick's side, uh during this, and so
- 42:44Speaker 1: some are upset about that. Some are not upset about that.
- 42:47Speaker 1: But here is to come down to it. No matter
- 42:49Speaker 1: what your opinion is, Katie and Nick have now came
- 42:51Speaker 1: out publicly on social media, um that that you know,
- 42:55Speaker 1: they're in a thistle or they're they're upset with each other.
- 42:59Speaker 1: And so that's just something the follow of course, when
- 43:01Speaker 1: we break down Bachelor headlines, that is a headline to
- 43:05Speaker 1: be followed. Uh. And maybe we'll learn more, maybe we won't,
- 43:08Speaker 1: maybe we'll just go away, who knows. But you know
- 43:09Speaker 1: what should happen? Nick should have Katy on the podcast.
- 43:13Speaker 1: M hm yeah, Well that feels like it just benefits Nick. Well,
- 43:18Speaker 1: we'll see how it is unfolds. But I can see
- 43:20Speaker 1: that Katie probably won't agree to it. But you know,
- 43:23Speaker 1: that would be an episode that all the Bachelor die
- 43:27Speaker 1: hards would be listening to. I I agree, That's why
- 43:30Speaker 1: I said. I think it would just really benefit Nick. Well,
- 43:32Speaker 1: you spoke about this earlier, Uh, Caitlin Bristow reacts to
- 43:36Speaker 1: The Bachelor at having two leads, why are we doing
- 43:38Speaker 1: this again? Now? We heard Caitlin Bristow come out a
- 43:42Speaker 1: few months ago when they announced that we have two
- 43:44Speaker 1: leads and she was upset about it. Then then Caitlin
- 43:46Speaker 1: comes out and says, um, effing hates watching two bachelorettes.
- 43:51Speaker 1: I cannot believe they are doing this. Uh. So she
- 43:55Speaker 1: is publicly saying that she is very upset. The former
- 43:59Speaker 1: bachelorrette and farmer host of the Bachelor is now publicly
- 44:02Speaker 1: saying she is upset once again while the season is airing. Okay,
- 44:07Speaker 1: so she's saying that she's watching and she's like, why
- 44:09Speaker 1: are we doing this again? Um? But she's remaining trying
- 44:12Speaker 1: to remain optimistic. She thought that they both observe their
- 44:15Speaker 1: own season. I don't think we can do that every time.
- 44:18Speaker 1: You know, we got that with Michelle and Katie. We
- 44:19Speaker 1: can't do that every time. Um. She said. I do
- 44:22Speaker 1: love that they have a solid friendship that can lean
- 44:24Speaker 1: on each other and go through this together, but they're
- 44:27Speaker 1: not setting them up for success by um saying you're
- 44:30Speaker 1: all dating the same guys. And she also said I
- 44:33Speaker 1: am hoping there's of course no drama, but there's gonna
- 44:36Speaker 1: be drama, and I just hope it works out for
- 44:38Speaker 1: both them in the end. And then so that was
- 44:41Speaker 1: her watching last week, and then this week she's less optimistic.
- 44:44Speaker 1: I'd say she knows. I fucking hate this. Am I
- 44:49Speaker 1: being dramatic? I can't believe they're doing this to these
- 44:51Speaker 1: women and to these men. It really feels like these
- 44:54Speaker 1: guys are just having friendly small talk. Yeah. That that
- 44:57Speaker 1: that's what she said. She said it on she tweeted
- 45:01Speaker 1: it last night. Yeah, she's been tweeting about it. Uh,
- 45:04Speaker 1: speaking of last night, the ratings are in here is
- 45:08Speaker 1: uh the article I'm reading, according the Programming Insider says this,
- 45:12Speaker 1: even as the Deluded, the Bacherette is enough to top
- 45:14Speaker 1: the evening in adults eighteen to forty nine, it's very
- 45:17Speaker 1: important demo for the show, with a point six rating UM,
- 45:23Speaker 1: but only managed to attract two point eight million viewers,
- 45:26Speaker 1: which is about what it had last week. This two
- 45:30Speaker 1: point eight million viewers trailed cbs is repeat lineup, which
- 45:34Speaker 1: is not good. Cbs is repeats had more viewership than
- 45:39Speaker 1: The Bachelorette. CBS had three point zero four million viewers
- 45:44Speaker 1: um and deteriorating show that I love, but I know
- 45:48Speaker 1: it's not gonna be around much longer. On NBC called
- 45:51Speaker 1: American Ninja Warrior, which aired had two point five million viewers.
- 45:54Speaker 1: So in terms of uh, the Whole she Bang, the
- 45:59Speaker 1: Bacherette Place second or ABC Play Second with two point
- 46:02Speaker 1: eight million CBS was in first. It's a big deal
- 46:06Speaker 1: to see how this plays out now. I believe we
- 46:08Speaker 1: three four, we'll get better ratings. We hope, um, but
- 46:14Speaker 1: two point eight million viewers is still not a ton.
- 46:16Speaker 1: As we mentioned last week, that's still down from last
- 46:19Speaker 1: season's viewership. So there you go, take it for what
- 46:22Speaker 1: you well. Hey, Ashley Big Podcast, We're have an episode
- 46:25Speaker 1: with cam A y'alla coming up about his surgery, recent
- 46:31Speaker 1: surgery where he got his leg amputated due to his
- 46:33Speaker 1: struggle with lymphidema. That's gonna be one to listen to.
- 46:35Speaker 1: I'm telling you, you learn a lot here a lot
- 46:38Speaker 1: and uh hear about where he's at in life. It's
- 46:40Speaker 1: it's definitely worth tune in. But until next time. Until
- 46:43Speaker 1: next week, and I haven't been by follow the Benn
- 46:48Speaker 1: and Ashley I Almost Famous podcast on iHeart Radio or
- 46:52Speaker 1: subscribe wherever you listen to podcasts.
