- 0:00Speaker 1: All right. Welcome back to college football addiction.
- 0:02Speaker 2: Blake Ruffino, AYS sports, as well as the Ruffino and
- 0:06Speaker 2: Joe show.
- 0:07Speaker 1: We appreciate you for joining us, Blake. We are, we
- 0:10Speaker 1: are presented by prize picks. Sorry.
- 0:12Speaker 2: I should have just kept going with the intro, but
- 0:14Speaker 2: we're all new users who play $ 5 get. $ 150 in
- 0:17Speaker 2: lineups instantly if they win using code HMA. Blake, Rufino,
- 0:22Speaker 2: we had to reschedule this just to let people know.
- 0:24Speaker 2: So our interview for this week was not the only
- 0:26Speaker 2: thing questionable that people are talking about. I was doubtful yesterday.
- 0:30Speaker 2: I was highly doubtful yesterday.
- 0:33Speaker 1: Doubtful yesterday, questionable today, but we made it happen. So honestly.
- 0:37Speaker 1: I like what Sam Levitt's going to do. Is that? Okay.
- 0:41Speaker 2: So that is where we have to start. Is he
- 0:44Speaker 2: playing this game?
- 0:45Speaker 1: Come on, Blake.
- 0:47Speaker 3: I would be shocked if he is not playing, but TJ,
- 0:53Speaker 3: if a dude's not practicing over a 36-hour period and
- 1:00Speaker 3: he hasn't practiced all week, what would you list him?
- 1:04Speaker 1: I mean, that's, yeah. I mean, I get that. Here's what, okay.
- 1:08Speaker 2: So, I mean, you've probably done this on AYS, which
- 1:10Speaker 2: everyone should listen to. LSU is like must-see TV this year,
- 1:13Speaker 2: whether you love them or hate them. So, go subscribe
- 1:16Speaker 2: to AYS.
- 1:16Speaker 1: Jesus. So, you know, I mean, you know how Lane is.
- 1:24Speaker 2: Like, is there any chance that it's kind of troll-ish?
- 1:27Speaker 1: Like, not troll-ish, but like gamesmanship-ish, right?
- 1:31Speaker 3: Oh, well, let me ask you what's more gamesmanship suing
- 1:33Speaker 3: somebody in a player of the week that you go
- 1:36Speaker 3: very fair or your quarterback being listed as doubtful.
- 1:40Speaker 1: Who did this? So more petty. Yeah.
- 1:44Speaker 2: And that's what I, and listen, I got no complaints
- 1:47Speaker 2: with it because I like, this is entertainment. And unless
- 1:52Speaker 2: you're just like obsessed with ACC football on a Thursday night,
- 1:55Speaker 2: we don't get a lot of entertainment until like Friday,
- 1:57Speaker 2: Saturday gets here.
- 1:58Speaker 1: So bring it all on. I hope something happens to
- 2:00Speaker 1: them today or tomorrow. Like not that would make this
- 2:03Speaker 1: recording irrelevant, but like, I'm going to happen.
- 2:05Speaker 3: All right.
- 2:07Speaker 1: We'll talk about that off air. Subscribe to Blake's Only
- 2:12Speaker 1: Fans to get the scoop on that.
- 2:14Speaker 3: Yeah, well, I couldn't even do YouTube members this morning
- 2:16Speaker 3: like I do on normal. They're going to be mad
- 2:18Speaker 3: at me, but I couldn't even do YouTube members content
- 2:21Speaker 3: this morning because I'm having to figure out everything going on,
- 2:25Speaker 3: making sure that we're accurate.
- 2:27Speaker 1: You know, on threes reporting an upper body injury.
- 2:29Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 2:31Speaker 2: Go check out AYS. I'm going to link AYS in
- 2:35Speaker 2: this so you guys.
- 2:35Speaker 1: Can go check it out.
- 2:36Speaker 2: So even for you non-LSU people that just have to
- 2:39Speaker 2: see the chaos and the drama going on.
- 2:41Speaker 1: Down there in Baton Rouge. Levitt likely to play. Let's
- 2:45Speaker 1: say he doesn't, I'll start there. Okay.
- 2:47Speaker 2: If he doesn't play or can't go full game or
- 2:50Speaker 2: not a hundred percent, what does LSU do? And I mean,
- 2:54Speaker 2: Vegas moved the line on this by a point or two.
- 2:57Speaker 2: So not like a massive morning.
- 2:59Speaker 1: Yeah. It's, it's all over the place.
- 3:01Speaker 2: Like, but what is, it would feel like LSU's outlook
- 3:05Speaker 2: is not quite as good. I mean, not that I
- 3:07Speaker 2: doubt the backups, which, you know, lane went crazy in
- 3:10Speaker 2: the portal with LSU. the quarterback room, but also Levitt's
- 3:13Speaker 2: really freaking good. Like, you know, so it's not a
- 3:16Speaker 2: shot at anybody else. So like, does your concern level
- 3:19Speaker 2: ratchet up just a bit if he's not there? Yeah.
- 3:21Speaker 3: I mean, it would probably go to Landon Clark, who
- 3:25Speaker 3: has been the backup, ironically, the last two games kind
- 3:29Speaker 3: of seems that he is beating out Hassan Longstreet for
- 3:32Speaker 3: whatever that's worth.
- 3:33Speaker 1: That same Hassan Longstreet's a bad quarterback.
- 3:36Speaker 3: I don't think it really changes in reference to play style, TJ,
- 3:40Speaker 3: you know, like because he's a very mobile quarterback. I
- 3:43Speaker 3: think he's a better athlete than Sam, ironically enough. He's
- 3:47Speaker 3: not a better thrower, though, and he's not a better processor. And,
- 3:50Speaker 3: you know, when we were there in the spring, you know,
- 3:52Speaker 3: during a scrimmage, he threw three picks. I'm not ready
- 3:55Speaker 3: to go there, right? But I would just say that,
- 3:59Speaker 3: you know, I don't really know what to expect because, again,
- 4:04Speaker 3: you're so– And you're already so new in LSU, like
- 4:07Speaker 3: you don't really know LSU with Sam Levitt. So how
- 4:11Speaker 3: do you know LSU without Sam Levitt, if that makes sense?
- 4:14Speaker 3: So I think that they would just be very more
- 4:18Speaker 3: inclined to have to run the football. I would assume
- 4:21Speaker 3: that Ole Miss would try to stack the box and
- 4:23Speaker 3: make a guy who is not a great passer throw
- 4:26Speaker 3: the ball, you know, and force him to beat him
- 4:29Speaker 3: through the air, like what a lot of teams did
- 4:31Speaker 3: to Trinidad Chambliss.
- 4:33Speaker 1: Early when he came in.
- 4:34Speaker 3: And so then everybody's like, okay, well, we can't stack
- 4:37Speaker 3: the box and stop the run because this kid can
- 4:38Speaker 3: really throw it on us, and he's very dangerous. So
- 4:42Speaker 3: I expect something of that nature, and it would be
- 4:44Speaker 3: a game inside a game, maybe giving Landon Clark some
- 4:47Speaker 3: easy throws. And it would just come down to that
- 4:49Speaker 3: offensive line and defense to be big, and it would
- 4:51Speaker 3: be crazy that an Elon transfer, his first start in
- 4:54Speaker 3: the SEC or in the FBS, is this game of
- 4:57Speaker 3: all games. What?
- 5:02Speaker 2: Is interesting to me is outside of the quarterback position,
- 5:07Speaker 2: Trinidad and Lacey are really, really good. And I think
- 5:12Speaker 2: people drank a whole lot of Kool-Aid after the Clemson game.
- 5:17Speaker 2: And then not that it was on the defense as much,
- 5:20Speaker 2: but then maybe didn't watch the full.
- 5:22Speaker 1: Game against Louisiana tech.
- 5:24Speaker 2: And so they drank so much Kool-Aid after week one,
- 5:26Speaker 2: they see week two and they see that it's a doll,
- 5:29Speaker 2: you know, a close game at halftime. Maybe they switched
- 5:32Speaker 2: back over to Ohio state and Texas because that's not,
- 5:35Speaker 2: or that game got going again. And so maybe he
- 5:37Speaker 2: didn't watch the second half, but it's like, they drank
- 5:40Speaker 2: all the Kool-Aid week one, threw it all up right
- 5:42Speaker 2: after because of the Louisiana tech game. And the truth
- 5:45Speaker 2: on LSU is likely somewhere in the middle. Clemson's also terrible.
- 5:48Speaker 2: You saw what they look like. I told a lot
- 5:50Speaker 2: of lies about them this off season thinking they would
- 5:52Speaker 2: be better.
- 5:53Speaker 1: They're, they're not good.
- 5:54Speaker 2: Um, My thought on LSU's defense is, man, this looks
- 5:58Speaker 2: really good through two weeks. The biggest test you're going
- 6:01Speaker 2: to get is this weekend against this offense.
- 6:05Speaker 1: But I do wonder, not having Charlie and not having.
- 6:08Speaker 2: Lane on that sideline, what does Ole Miss' offense look
- 6:11Speaker 2: like in a big game without those guys?
- 6:16Speaker 3: Yeah, so basically you're asking two questions here. The first is,
- 6:22Speaker 3: I would just say that I felt– I kind of
- 6:26Speaker 3: felt like Lane did.
- 6:27Speaker 1: Some things on purpose, TJ, against Louisiana Tech.
- 6:30Speaker 3: Like, you're running into eight-man boxes.
- 6:33Speaker 1: You know, like, so let me give you an example, TJ.
- 6:35Speaker 3: So every Sunday I come in here and we put
- 6:39Speaker 3: on the all 22 in the end zone. And I'll, like, I'll,
- 6:43Speaker 3: for relevance, like, I'll send you the link to this.
- 6:46Speaker 3: They're running into eight-man boxes with five after block. And
- 6:50Speaker 3: Lane's giggling. And I'm like, what you giggling for? I
- 6:55Speaker 3: think that there were a couple of things. They were
- 6:58Speaker 3: throwing when they knew that they would drop eight and
- 7:01Speaker 3: forcing Sam to throw the ball. After the game and
- 7:04Speaker 3: before the game, Lane told the team that you ain't
- 7:07Speaker 3: done shit.
- 7:09Speaker 1: You ain't done shit. You beat Clemson. Whoop-de-doo. I am
- 7:13Speaker 1: a conspiracy theorist at nature.
- 7:15Speaker 3: I'm just going to go ahead and admit it. I
- 7:18Speaker 3: think it was on purpose because you know what? Once
- 7:20Speaker 3: you started running outside zone against a 3-3-5, once you
- 7:23Speaker 3: started dumping the ball off quickly for Sam, how do
- 7:26Speaker 3: you score 31 points in six minutes?
- 7:29Speaker 1: Yeah. I think it's a little bit on purpose. I
- 7:32Speaker 1: do agree.
- 7:32Speaker 3: I think it's somewhere in the middle. Now to your
- 7:35Speaker 3: John David Baker and Trinidad question. Look, I mean, I
- 7:39Speaker 3: do think that there's a path. It's a hard path,
- 7:42Speaker 3: but there's a path. Stay with me here. I mean,
- 7:47Speaker 3: Ole Miss lost to Georgia in the regular season last year, okay?
- 7:55Speaker 3: They beat Georgia, okay, game two. Lacey was there and
- 8:00Speaker 3: was able to get going in the second half. Miami
- 8:03Speaker 3: beat them, and then with Lacey being out, and then
- 8:10Speaker 3: the game.
- 8:11Speaker 1: One, week one versus Louisville, Lacey goes out.
- 8:13Speaker 3: Yeah. Let me ask a question. What happens if the
- 8:16Speaker 3: running game gets stopped? Is Trinidad become a normal? I
- 8:18Speaker 3: don't want to say normal quarterback does the threat of it. Yeah.
- 8:23Speaker 2: The threat of that being gone. I mean, I'll tell
- 8:24Speaker 2: you right now, I know I'm supposed to be interviewing you.
- 8:27Speaker 2: My answer to the who wins this game is who's
- 8:29Speaker 2: able to run the ball.
- 8:32Speaker 1: Like, that's it. Agreed. Whichever. Now, if both of them do,
- 8:35Speaker 1: then we'll go to step B.
- 8:36Speaker 2: But now, you know, of course, one of these quarterbacks
- 8:39Speaker 2: has three turnovers or something stupid.
- 8:40Speaker 1: Yeah, like that. I can factor.
- 8:42Speaker 2: But you're asking right now who wins? Tell me who
- 8:44Speaker 2: runs the ball more effectively. Because that's the difference.
- 8:47Speaker 1: In the game.
- 8:48Speaker 3: I completely agree. So there's that. I mean, John David
- 8:52Speaker 3: Baker got his play call and play sheet. He's running
- 8:54Speaker 3: Lane's offense, by the way. He's running Charlie's offense. So
- 8:58Speaker 3: how do you not know your own offense? So again,
- 9:02Speaker 3: there's so many different dynamics in this. If it's me,
- 9:06Speaker 3: I'm doing everything to take away Kawhi and Lacey because
- 9:08Speaker 3: you're not going to try to contain Trinidad as much
- 9:11Speaker 3: as you can. I'm trying to take away Deuce Alexander.
- 9:15Speaker 3: If you take those two away, can somebody else beat me?
- 9:17Speaker 3: Is it going to be Caleb Odom, Horatio Fields? Can
- 9:21Speaker 3: somebody else besides those two guys beat me? You know
- 9:23Speaker 3: Trinidad's going to be Trinidad. What happens if you take
- 9:26Speaker 3: their top two weapons away? And I think that is
- 9:29Speaker 3: the clear path for this defense for success.
- 9:32Speaker 1: And if they do that, what are they able to do?
- 9:33Speaker 2: I'll get right back to chatting with Blake, but first
- 9:35Speaker 2: I need two things from you. Not selling anything, not
- 9:37Speaker 2: asking you to put your credit card in. One, make
- 9:40Speaker 2: sure you are subscribed here to College Football Addiction. LSU
- 9:43Speaker 2: is one of the most intriguing teams, whether you love
- 9:45Speaker 2: them or hate them, and we will certainly be talking
- 9:47Speaker 2: about them all year. Number two, if you are already subscribed,
- 9:50Speaker 2: I know tons of you are, make sure you're subscribed
- 9:53Speaker 2: to our audio feeds as well. Surprised it may be,
- 9:56Speaker 2: we do talk about other things than just LSU. Make
- 9:59Speaker 2: sure you on Apple Podcasts or Spotify. I know how
- 10:02Speaker 2: the YouTube algorithm works. Sometimes you don't see everything, but
- 10:04Speaker 2: as much fun as we have with Blake and talking
- 10:06Speaker 2: about Lane and LSU, we do that with other teams too.
- 10:09Speaker 2: Make sure you're subscribed to College Football Addiction on Apple Podcasts, Spotify,
- 10:13Speaker 2: wherever you listen. If we're not on a podcast that
- 10:15Speaker 2: you want to hear on a platform, send me a
- 10:18Speaker 2: message on social media, shoot me a comment, shoot me
- 10:21Speaker 2: an email, whatever, and we'll get them on that too.
- 10:23Speaker 1: Appreciate you guys for tuning in. I'm back to Blake.
- 10:27Speaker 2: LSU, you talked about the change that they made on
- 10:32Speaker 2: Saturday in that Louisiana Tech game. I also just wonder
- 10:36Speaker 2: when we think about changes, because there is such a
- 10:38Speaker 2: familiarity with these staffs.
- 10:41Speaker 1: I wonder what changes... I.
- 10:46Speaker 2: Try not to put so much on coaching, but in
- 10:49Speaker 2: this matchup, I don't know how you don't. And I
- 10:51Speaker 2: don't even mean all the off-the-field stuff, which we can
- 10:53Speaker 2: have fun with that. I'm sure you've talked about that
- 10:55Speaker 2: plenty on AYS. But I just mean when there's such
- 10:59Speaker 2: a familiarity, do coaches... change things, not change what they do,
- 11:05Speaker 2: but change calls signals. How does that impact the game?
- 11:08Speaker 2: Like all of that, like just the communication level of it.
- 11:12Speaker 2: And then how much of it is, um, No, I
- 11:15Speaker 2: don't care if they know what we're doing. We're going
- 11:17Speaker 2: to line up and beat you now, not to put
- 11:19Speaker 2: yourself in a bad spot, but like, no, we're just
- 11:21Speaker 2: going to go man to man and beat you. So
- 11:23Speaker 2: like the chess match within the chess match to me
- 11:25Speaker 2: is like the, it's more fascinating than whether or not
- 11:28Speaker 2: the FBI gets called or whether or not this player
- 11:30Speaker 2: gets sued or whether or not this guy's on an
- 11:32Speaker 2: injury report.
- 11:34Speaker 1: Like when we actually get, cause all of those things
- 11:35Speaker 1: are fun. Don't get me wrong.
- 11:36Speaker 2: They are a ton of fun to talk about, but
- 11:39Speaker 2: when the game actually kicks off, That chess match within
- 11:42Speaker 2: the chess match is, to me, the most intriguing part
- 11:44Speaker 2: of all of this.
- 11:45Speaker 1: 100%.
- 11:47Speaker 3: I mean, LSU, for what it's worth, and Pete said
- 11:49Speaker 3: this on Monday too, they change calls every week already
- 11:53Speaker 3: after the whole Connor Stallion situation, ironically. So they're already
- 11:58Speaker 3: going to do that. My thing at this, TJ, is
- 12:00Speaker 3: where I don't... I think it's overblown in this sense
- 12:07Speaker 3: about the coaching matchup. you already know what everybody's going
- 12:10Speaker 3: to do.
- 12:11Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 12:11Speaker 3: I think it comes down to what player does Pete
- 12:14Speaker 3: attack and what players does LSU and Lane Kiffin and
- 12:17Speaker 3: Charlie attack? What players does Blake Baker attack? What players
- 12:20Speaker 3: does John David Baker attack? So, like, there's too much familiarity.
- 12:25Speaker 3: That's like, I don't know if you have a brother, TJ,
- 12:29Speaker 3: or not, like I do. Like if we play Madden
- 12:33Speaker 3: or college football 27, I have a pretty good idea
- 12:36Speaker 3: of what my brother's going to do on third down.
- 12:37Speaker 1: By the way, he's going to throw a screen on third.
- 12:40Speaker 1: It's a screen every time. It's a screen every time.
- 12:44Speaker 1: Put a safety there at defensive ends. Exactly.
- 12:47Speaker 3: So you get what I'm trying to say here, right?
- 12:51Speaker 3: So you attack the player more than you're attacking the schemes.
- 12:56Speaker 3: And so that's what I think is more or less
- 12:58Speaker 3: going to be. I think that both sides are going
- 13:00Speaker 3: to do more or less because you had both coaches
- 13:04Speaker 3: come out on Monday. Like, yeah, dude, we're talking. We
- 13:06Speaker 3: talk to each other like every week. Like we're not
- 13:08Speaker 3: going to talk to each other this week. I mean,
- 13:10Speaker 3: but we all talk to each other. So Lane said
- 13:13Speaker 3: he told his staff on Monday, he goes, I don't
- 13:16Speaker 3: want any leaks coming out of this building. And for
- 13:17Speaker 3: what it's worth, the Sam Levitt thing didn't get out.
- 13:22Speaker 3: And so let me just say this. I think everybody's
- 13:26Speaker 3: going to have to keep their emotions under control, Lane
- 13:29Speaker 3: and Pete included. Because if you look like on social media,
- 13:34Speaker 3: Ole Miss fans don't talk about Pete.
- 13:35Speaker 1: They're talking about Lane. Lane, Lane, Lane, Lane.
- 13:39Speaker 3: It's his chance to go out there and say, I
- 13:41Speaker 3: don't need him.
- 13:43Speaker 1: I don't need him.
- 13:44Speaker 3: It's Lane's chance to go out there and say, told
- 13:46Speaker 3: you I built this. TJ, is there anybody really saying
- 13:49Speaker 3: that Lane Kiffin didn't build Ole Miss? And so there
- 13:53Speaker 3: comes a point in time where I'm like, you're three
- 13:54Speaker 3: games into a Lane Kiffin tenure at LSU.
- 13:57Speaker 1: Is it really a must win?
- 13:58Speaker 3: I mean, maybe for embarrassment for him, you know, if
- 14:01Speaker 3: he loses, but you're three games into it. So, you know,
- 14:06Speaker 3: I think some of that is a little bit overblown,
- 14:09Speaker 3: but I do think that there's a lot of going
- 14:11Speaker 3: to be a lot of high emotions, which again... Goes
- 14:14Speaker 3: to the fact, I wonder if they're going to just
- 14:17Speaker 3: lock in and attack the player versus attack the scheme,
- 14:21Speaker 3: if that makes sense. This is a great point, yeah. Because, look,
- 14:25Speaker 3: they're the exact same team.
- 14:27Speaker 1: Yeah, because you don't.
- 14:28Speaker 2: Want to get to a point where you try to
- 14:31Speaker 2: anticipate a counter, and so you do something that you're
- 14:34Speaker 2: not familiar with, And, yeah, you change your scheme and attack.
- 14:38Speaker 1: Like, they know what they're doing. But whereas if you attack... Yeah. Right.
- 14:43Speaker 1: It's a great point. Like, if you attack a play,
- 14:45Speaker 1: what if Lane doesn't do that?
- 14:47Speaker 3: Right.
- 14:47Speaker 2: What if he's overthought that? Or not overthought it, but, like,
- 14:50Speaker 2: what if he's already counted that? And same thing on
- 14:52Speaker 2: the other side. You know, Pete's got a tendency, and
- 14:55Speaker 2: so you go after that, but then Pete changed his tendency.
- 14:58Speaker 1: Like, you don't want to... And that's why we say
- 15:00Speaker 1: it's not about the X's and O's. It's about the
- 15:02Speaker 1: Jimmy's and Joe's, right? To be cliche. But you don't
- 15:04Speaker 1: want to get into this... mind game.
- 15:06Speaker 2: And so, yeah, I really, I think that point about not,
- 15:08Speaker 2: I don't want to glaze you too much. Is that,
- 15:10Speaker 2: are the kids still saying that? Um, but I don't
- 15:12Speaker 2: even know. I've heard the kids say that.
- 15:15Speaker 1: I'm still saying glizzy.
- 15:17Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah.
- 15:17Speaker 1: Well, that, I think that's gone. I think you're a
- 15:19Speaker 1: couple of years after that.
- 15:20Speaker 3: Okay.
- 15:20Speaker 1: Um, but yeah, that's a really good point on it too.
- 15:23Speaker 1: Glizzy inspector was my favorite, but.
- 15:25Speaker 2: Oh, put that in your bio.
- 15:30Speaker 1: The, uh, I have kids. I might want to calm down. Well,
- 15:34Speaker 1: now I know how you've gotten them. Long glizzies. This
- 15:40Speaker 1: is the X-rated college football addiction preview of LSU Ole Miss.
- 15:44Speaker 1: This is the only fans that you claimed that I had. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 15:47Speaker 1: We'll put it on YouTube for today.
- 15:48Speaker 2: I'm going to have to read through the monetization checks
- 15:52Speaker 2: really closely today to make sure that we didn't cross
- 15:54Speaker 2: any lines.
- 15:57Speaker 3: The no because i've done a lot of crazy shit
- 16:00Speaker 3: i was gonna say yeah you're i'm pretty safe with
- 16:02Speaker 3: you on here the the off-field stuff like from the
- 16:07Speaker 3: lawsuits to the you know lane leaving all the stuff
- 16:11Speaker 3: but you know i try i i am also not
- 16:14Speaker 3: big on reading so much into that i'll tell you
- 16:16Speaker 3: old miss is really my barometer for that because those
- 16:20Speaker 3: kids went out last year with all that distraction and
- 16:22Speaker 3: did a really good job in the playoffs.
- 16:24Speaker 2: I mean, you know, they, they, they stopped Miami one time.
- 16:26Speaker 2: Don't let Carson break back, scramble a couple of times. They,
- 16:30Speaker 2: you know, they, they go to the national championship game.
- 16:32Speaker 1: And so they were this close. They, they may be
- 16:34Speaker 1: overperformed by beating Georgia.
- 16:35Speaker 2: Being so close with Miami was, was really impressive. I,
- 16:38Speaker 2: you know, obviously don't give any weight to the Tulane win,
- 16:40Speaker 2: but they locked in.
- 16:42Speaker 1: And did a good job. I do wonder though, if
- 16:45Speaker 1: there is.
- 16:45Speaker 3: Any kind of, it's just outside of lane. Everybody else
- 16:49Speaker 3: was there, just to be fair. Like, it's just Lane
- 16:53Speaker 3: not being there.
- 16:54Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 16:54Speaker 3: Like, everything else was normal to that point. So there
- 16:57Speaker 3: was a lot of stuff. Because Lane's not in those
- 16:59Speaker 3: position meetings.
- 17:00Speaker 1: Right. He's not in the offensives. Yeah. He's not in there.
- 17:04Speaker 1: I mean, he's in a quarterback meeting. But Charlie was there.
- 17:07Speaker 3: I mean, not to rudely interrupt you, but there wasn't
- 17:10Speaker 3: really any change for them.
- 17:12Speaker 1: Yeah, it was more the off field.
- 17:13Speaker 2: Just they blocked out the off field, like, talking heads
- 17:17Speaker 2: and us and stuff like that. I do wonder, are
- 17:21Speaker 2: both teams able to adequately do that this weekend? Like,
- 17:26Speaker 2: does anybody press too much in this game?
- 17:28Speaker 1: Right.
- 17:28Speaker 2: Like, I do think that, like, once the ball is
- 17:30Speaker 2: kicked off, like, guys lock in and they go play.
- 17:33Speaker 2: And we've seen that, not just Ole Miss last year,
- 17:35Speaker 2: but we've seen that all over the place.
- 17:36Speaker 1: What about LSU in week one? 100%. You're going to
- 17:39Speaker 1: get expelled from the league. Yeah, and it goes back years.
- 17:42Speaker 2: Remember when Jameis was going through all that stuff during
- 17:44Speaker 2: his Heisman campaign? And, like, Monday through Friday would be
- 17:47Speaker 2: the complete crap show. And he'd go out and throw
- 17:51Speaker 2: six touchdowns.
- 17:52Speaker 1: Pun intended. Crap show. Yeah. I mean... Now he's doing
- 17:56Speaker 1: door to his commercials with crabs, you know.
- 17:58Speaker 2: His career arc where like everybody didn't like him for
- 18:01Speaker 2: a while. And then now.
- 18:03Speaker 3: Like quarterback on Sunday night football, that gets shown more
- 18:07Speaker 3: than Jameis Winston.
- 18:08Speaker 1: He gets shown more than the starting quarterback does. Right.
- 18:11Speaker 2: No disrespect to Jackson, but like, so if, if, If so,
- 18:15Speaker 2: if Jameis Winston's agent called either one of us right
- 18:17Speaker 2: now and said like, Hey, Jameis wants to hop on
- 18:19Speaker 2: a podcast with you.
- 18:19Speaker 1: Neither one of us would even say bye to each other.
- 18:22Speaker 1: I wouldn't even say bye. I was just in the recording.
- 18:24Speaker 1: See you. Like, right.
- 18:26Speaker 2: So from studio, but, um, guys are able to lock in.
- 18:29Speaker 2: I do wonder though, because I do think they want
- 18:32Speaker 2: it so bad. Both teams want it so bad. I
- 18:34Speaker 2: do think there's a, there's an aspect of like, okay,
- 18:36Speaker 2: don't go overplay because it is still just one sec game.
- 18:41Speaker 2: Like don't go do something that's dumb and, It really is.
- 18:46Speaker 2: I know losing is going to suck for somebody on
- 18:48Speaker 2: Saturday night. It really just is one game. And so
- 18:50Speaker 2: I do wonder like if you can stay within yourself
- 18:53Speaker 2: and how the coaches are preparing for that.
- 18:55Speaker 3: Well, I've been saying this all week and Ole Miss
- 18:57Speaker 3: fans are like, you're just saying that just in case
- 18:59Speaker 3: you lose.
- 19:00Speaker 1: No, you have Texas A & M in prime time
- 19:02Speaker 1: next week. Yeah. Ole Miss got to go to the swamp.
- 19:06Speaker 1: That's a dangerous game. Yeah, ask Texas. Ask the number
- 19:10Speaker 1: one team in the country right now.
- 19:11Speaker 2: And so if you're LSU and you win, you can't
- 19:14Speaker 2: go undo it by losing to A & M next week.
- 19:16Speaker 2: If you're LSU and you lose, you can't let this
- 19:18Speaker 2: be a two-game slide because then everything you want. And
- 19:21Speaker 2: same thing for Ole Miss, right? If you lose this,
- 19:23Speaker 2: you can't go double down with a loss to Florida.
- 19:25Speaker 1: You can't.
- 19:26Speaker 2: Win this game and then go out undo it by
- 19:28Speaker 2: losing to Florida so I think the the the bigger
- 19:31Speaker 2: picture of it is man it is one game and
- 19:34Speaker 2: you know doesn't matter to me I don't have to
- 19:36Speaker 2: go play next week or this week either but for
- 19:39Speaker 2: for the kids like it is a it is a
- 19:40Speaker 2: big deal for that you know I.
- 19:43Speaker 3: Maybe it's just because I am an LSU dude can
- 19:46Speaker 3: someone explain to me how it's big.
- 19:48Speaker 1: For those players outside the war that left with Lane?
- 19:51Speaker 3: Like, I get the social media side of it, but
- 19:53Speaker 3: what are they really emotional about?
- 19:55Speaker 2: The biggest thing to me, and I think it's much smaller,
- 19:59Speaker 2: it is the wanting to play. It's the social media aspect,
- 20:03Speaker 2: which probably weighs in too much. And then also, I
- 20:05Speaker 2: think there is a one to fight for your coach. Like,
- 20:07Speaker 2: that's the guy that fought for you. Old guard versus
- 20:09Speaker 2: new guard.
- 20:11Speaker 1: It's a personality. It's more of a.
- 20:14Speaker 2: A secondary thing. Like no, the guys that left and
- 20:17Speaker 2: came there. And obviously for Ole Miss, the guys that
- 20:19Speaker 2: were there, that's huge. But for the, like, but for
- 20:23Speaker 2: Sam Leavitt, I think it's one.
- 20:24Speaker 1: To play for lane. It's social media. It's all that stuff.
- 20:27Speaker 3: Who's the better quarterback for sure.
- 20:29Speaker 1: Right.
- 20:29Speaker 3: I mean, I just feel like there's so much pressure
- 20:33Speaker 3: more on Ole Miss to win this than LSU. Again,
- 20:36Speaker 3: you're three games into this. I hope they do overplay.
- 20:39Speaker 3: I hope they do overread again. I'm not saying they
- 20:44Speaker 3: were looking for or looking past Louisville. I just don't
- 20:48Speaker 3: think that. That team gave up 191 rushing yards outside
- 20:51Speaker 3: that 30-yard negative punt. So, I mean, if we're going
- 20:55Speaker 3: to go X's and O's, can they stop the run?
- 20:57Speaker 1: Can LSU get a run game going? Again, once that
- 20:59Speaker 1: ball gets kicked.
- 21:00Speaker 3: Off, you know, there's a lot that goes into it
- 21:04Speaker 3: more than just, you know, the emotions.
- 21:07Speaker 1: Because, like, this is what I've said. LSU's going to
- 21:10Speaker 1: have to weather an early storm. Right.
- 21:12Speaker 3: Like if Sam plays or doesn't play like I don't
- 21:15Speaker 3: want LSU getting the ball first. The worst thing that
- 21:18Speaker 3: I feel like that can happen is that you get
- 21:19Speaker 3: the ball first and have a three and out.
- 21:21Speaker 1: And then that place is nuts.
- 21:22Speaker 3: Yeah. Right.
- 21:23Speaker 1: And so then they go score.
- 21:24Speaker 3: Yeah. And then they go score. Like that's the worst
- 21:27Speaker 3: thing that can happen. Or you have a turnover. Well, maybe.
- 21:29Speaker 1: I mean, Texas, but Texas was at home. I mean,
- 21:31Speaker 1: maybe not. But again... It worked out for him well
- 21:34Speaker 1: in week one with the turnover, but different opponent. Right.
- 21:37Speaker 3: I guess it's just like, can you weather an early storm?
- 21:40Speaker 3: They're going to be out there being emotional. Just do
- 21:44Speaker 3: your job. Just do your job. And I think that
- 21:48Speaker 3: has been so looked past this week of just like,
- 21:53Speaker 3: What if there is a side of the ball? Let
- 21:55Speaker 3: me ask you this. What if Ole Miss or LSU
- 21:57Speaker 3: comes out and just like, yeah, man, they didn't really
- 22:00Speaker 3: overplay at all. Like they just played with inside themselves.
- 22:03Speaker 3: And so, you know, again, you know, I talked to
- 22:09Speaker 3: a player this week, not at LSU or Ole Miss.
- 22:11Speaker 3: I talked to a player this week. He's like, bro,
- 22:14Speaker 3: I got back. And he's a very well-known player. He
- 22:17Speaker 3: was doing a thing with one of our affiliates, and
- 22:20Speaker 3: he's like, bro.
- 22:21Speaker 1: It was Jeremiah Smith, guys. Blake was chatting with Jeremiah. Okay, well,
- 22:25Speaker 1: can't either confirm or deny.
- 22:27Speaker 3: But he was like, bro, when I didn't have a
- 22:30Speaker 3: good game versus this opponent, look at how much I
- 22:33Speaker 3: got obliterated.
- 22:34Speaker 1: Did I go out there emotional?
- 22:35Speaker 3: I do think kids today are a little bit more
- 22:39Speaker 3: immune to, To this than we realized because TJ.
- 22:43Speaker 1: They grew up with it. Yeah, right. Because we didn't
- 22:46Speaker 1: go through it. They grew up with it in high
- 22:47Speaker 1: school even. Right.
- 22:49Speaker 3: So I think it, I guess we're going to find out.
- 22:51Speaker 3: It is a very interesting thing to talk about, to
- 22:55Speaker 3: say the least.
- 22:56Speaker 1: Just before I get, which I'm sure you've already done
- 22:59Speaker 1: a prediction. I have not. I have not.
- 23:02Speaker 2: We're going to get insider info here in a minute.
- 23:04Speaker 2: But before we get to that, Auburn, Florida, I know
- 23:09Speaker 2: the main card. The undercard is really good. I'm very
- 23:12Speaker 2: intrigued on this.
- 23:14Speaker 1: I think Florida, at the end of the day, I
- 23:16Speaker 1: know it's Jordan Hare.
- 23:17Speaker 2: I know that it's the quarterback and coach that beat
- 23:19Speaker 2: them last year in the swamp.
- 23:21Speaker 1: I just think talent outweighs. I think Florida wins this
- 23:25Speaker 1: game by a touchdown. I think more.
- 23:28Speaker 3: I think that timing on that offense is a problem
- 23:31Speaker 3: for Auburn. Maybe they show everybody that they can fix
- 23:34Speaker 3: it within three weeks. Look, I'm a John Summerall believer.
- 23:39Speaker 3: I don't really like the antics from Golish. I kind
- 23:45Speaker 3: of like the antics. I know you don't like this,
- 23:47Speaker 3: but I kind of like the antics from John Summerall.
- 23:49Speaker 1: You're no family of mine.
- 23:51Speaker 3: Look, speaking of emotion, why isn't nobody talking about John
- 23:56Speaker 3: Summerall and Auburn as I know for a fact that
- 23:59Speaker 3: Auburn was on the doorsteps of hiring John Summerall because
- 24:02Speaker 3: that's where he's from, and they fumbled the bag.
- 24:06Speaker 1: They completely fumbled the bag.
- 24:07Speaker 3: Golish was going to Arkansas with a massive investment until
- 24:10Speaker 3: Auburn had to get in and intervene. The bottom line
- 24:14Speaker 3: here is I just think that Vernell Brown is really good.
- 24:16Speaker 3: I think Dallas Wilson is very good. I'm interested to
- 24:19Speaker 3: see if Eric Singleton can go. I think Buster Faulkner
- 24:23Speaker 3: is the X factor here, TJ. I really do. They
- 24:27Speaker 3: are a very talented team. And again, here's a scenario
- 24:31Speaker 3: for you. Let's say that they win. Florida wins on
- 24:34Speaker 3: Saturday and Ole Miss wins on Saturday. You got a
- 24:40Speaker 3: wild matchup in the swamp next week. And if Ole
- 24:44Speaker 3: Miss wins, how emotional drained are they? What if Florida
- 24:48Speaker 3: is 4-0?
- 24:49Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 24:50Speaker 2: And then they play Missouri next. Florida has a losing
- 24:53Speaker 2: record against Missouri in their time in the SEC. But also,
- 24:58Speaker 2: Eli Drinkowitz has never beaten a team in the SEC
- 25:00Speaker 2: that finished above.
- 25:01Speaker 1: 500.
- 25:02Speaker 2: I think Florida has a very real chance to go 5-0.
- 25:04Speaker 2: I'm picking them against Auburn. I think they beat Missouri. Now,
- 25:07Speaker 2: Ole Miss, I'm leaning with Trinidad right now, but you're
- 25:10Speaker 2: very right. Win or loss is going to be emotional
- 25:12Speaker 2: for Ole Miss. So how quickly can they rebound? I
- 25:15Speaker 2: think Florida has a very real chance to be 5-0.
- 25:16Speaker 1: Dude. They'll be a top 15 team. Top 15. Maybe 10. No,
- 25:23Speaker 1: if they beat Ole Miss, they'll be a top 10 team.
- 25:25Speaker 3: No, I'm talking about, I don't know. Would they not
- 25:27Speaker 3: be top five? Somebody's got to fall if that's the case.
- 25:32Speaker 3: I mean, I got to be completely honest with you. Like,
- 25:34Speaker 3: if we're talking AP poll, not like.
- 25:36Speaker 1: A power ranking.
- 25:37Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 25:38Speaker 1: I would put them above Notre Dame. Notre Dame ain't
- 25:40Speaker 1: playing nobody with a pulse.
- 25:42Speaker 2: I mean, yeah, I guess it comes down to if
- 25:45Speaker 2: it's more merit based. It depends on how these voters vote,
- 25:48Speaker 2: which we never know because they're all psychopaths.
- 25:51Speaker 1: Somebody didn't move Oregon in the AP poll this week.
- 25:53Speaker 1: I don't know if you didn't see somebody didn't have
- 25:55Speaker 1: Miami in. I saw that. So, yeah, predicting an AP
- 26:00Speaker 1: poll is impossible.
- 26:01Speaker 2: So if you're doing it more merit-based or more just
- 26:03Speaker 2: who you think is best, I would have them top
- 26:07Speaker 2: five if it's merit-based.
- 26:08Speaker 1: All right, John Summerall, send me Jordan gear. I'm putting
- 26:10Speaker 1: you at one.
- 26:14Speaker 2: If you can find any for me that is not orange,
- 26:17Speaker 2: I'll take some too, John. That one's happening.
- 26:20Speaker 1: LSU SMU. I'm sorry, Louisville SMU.
- 26:23Speaker 2: Louisville.
- 26:26Speaker 1: I think Jeff Brom's really good. I don't– don't yell
- 26:30Speaker 1: at me.
- 26:30Speaker 3: I think that– I don't know if, you know, the
- 26:33Speaker 3: thing with Florida State is really interesting with me with them.
- 26:36Speaker 3: I think I really like watching Keen Holtz. I'm just
- 26:40Speaker 3: really fascinated by Louisville right now. I think they find
- 26:43Speaker 3: a way to win. I think Kevin Jennings has a
- 26:46Speaker 3: late interception or turnover to ice that game. And I
- 26:49Speaker 3: just think that Keen Holtz, man, he's a really special player.
- 26:52Speaker 3: And they've got some really explosive wide receivers too, man.
- 26:55Speaker 3: I go Louisville there.
- 26:57Speaker 2: I like Louisville, too. More talent, I think, at home.
- 27:00Speaker 2: Both really good coaches. SMU did everything they could to
- 27:04Speaker 2: try and get that game away.
- 27:05Speaker 1: How about the ACC? How about some of the top
- 27:07Speaker 1: teams in the ACC? Miami, Louisville. What if SMU is
- 27:10Speaker 1: four and then Virginia? Virginia's good, too. Hey, you know
- 27:13Speaker 1: who our next three games are in the ACC? Florida State. Virginia,
- 27:17Speaker 1: Louisville and Miami.
- 27:19Speaker 3: And the last one was SMU. So yeah, people that
- 27:22Speaker 3: saw Dellinger talk about that. Florida State doesn't have an
- 27:25Speaker 3: appetite of spending 50 million. You lose to Bama this
- 27:28Speaker 3: week and you go on a four game or five
- 27:30Speaker 3: game skin.
- 27:31Speaker 1: Yeah, you're buddy. I think, you know, he was.
- 27:35Speaker 2: Yeah, my take is that that's not correct, but we'll see.
- 27:41Speaker 1: Can Florida State cover 20 and a half? No.
- 27:44Speaker 3: I don't think it's close no i don't i think
- 27:47Speaker 3: dude i've been hearing some things coming out of bama
- 27:49Speaker 3: this week like like some of the boosters around bama
- 27:53Speaker 3: did not has not had not seen this side of
- 27:56Speaker 3: yet because of what happened last year by the way
- 27:59Speaker 3: yeah blood's coming i think that however however um I
- 28:08Speaker 3: do think that Florida State presents a unique situation in
- 28:12Speaker 3: the run game for Bama like last year. 18 times
- 28:17Speaker 3: their running backs have been hit at or behind the
- 28:19Speaker 3: line of scrimmage. I don't know if Florida State can
- 28:22Speaker 3: throw a forward pass to Deuce right now, so I
- 28:26Speaker 3: don't think that they can win. In reference to keeping
- 28:29Speaker 3: it close, if they can generate tackles for a loss,
- 28:33Speaker 3: which their first two opponents could not do, this could
- 28:35Speaker 3: be very interesting.
- 28:36Speaker 2: Yeah, and if Florida State can run the ball, shorten
- 28:39Speaker 2: the game, maybe you can make it a second half game.
- 28:43Speaker 2: I don't want to say fourth quarter, but maybe you
- 28:44Speaker 2: can go to the half down 10 or something like that.
- 28:46Speaker 1: I agree. That said, I think they win by 30.
- 28:49Speaker 1: So roll them tight. You're wanting them to win. I mean,
- 28:57Speaker 1: I'm going to the game. And so in the moment
- 29:00Speaker 1: in the game, like somebody asked me, great question.
- 29:02Speaker 2: If they were lining up for a game winning field goal,
- 29:05Speaker 2: Florida state was, do I want him to make it
- 29:07Speaker 2: or miss it?
- 29:08Speaker 1: Make it.
- 29:08Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 29:09Speaker 1: Like if I'm there, you know, and we've played that
- 29:12Speaker 1: well through the whole day.
- 29:13Speaker 2: Like, I think the cake is baked on Mike anyway. they,
- 29:16Speaker 2: they play, like I just said, they play Virginia Louisville
- 29:19Speaker 2: and Miami.
- 29:19Speaker 1: Next two of those on the road to celebrate. Hey,
- 29:23Speaker 1: Mike Norville did a lot of things, but he went
- 29:25Speaker 1: to an O versus mama. Could you imagine?
- 29:27Speaker 2: Remember when Jimbo won by like 50 and then got
- 29:29Speaker 2: fired the next day? Like, could you imagine if they
- 29:31Speaker 2: just said, dude, our plan is a fire in one
- 29:33Speaker 2: way or another on Monday?
- 29:34Speaker 3: The funniest thing about Jimbo was, is they won by
- 29:38Speaker 3: 50 and it, halftime, someone gave a $ 72 million donation
- 29:43Speaker 3: to the athletic department. And then his buyout was $ 72
- 29:47Speaker 3: million and paid it out in straight cash.
- 29:50Speaker 1: Yeah. They were like, yeah, see ya.
- 29:52Speaker 3: So that is, that is the funniest thing that nobody
- 29:57Speaker 3: talks about, which shout out to Jimbo this week.
- 29:59Speaker 1: He was on a podcast with one of his former players.
- 30:01Speaker 1: I forget who it was.
- 30:02Speaker 3: And he said, uh, They were like, coach, I mean,
- 30:05Speaker 3: I guess you don't want to get back in coaching
- 30:06Speaker 3: because of the buyout.
- 30:07Speaker 2: He goes, they already paid me. I get to keep
- 30:10Speaker 2: my money.
- 30:12Speaker 1: And he grabbed him up. I was like, all right, Jimbo.
- 30:15Speaker 2: Yeah, Jimbo's Jimbo's kind of not quite the same way,
- 30:18Speaker 2: but Jimbo's kind of done the career career arc like
- 30:21Speaker 2: thing that like Jameis did.
- 30:23Speaker 1: Everybody likes Jimbo now. I love him. Even FSU fans
- 30:26Speaker 1: that hated him. Oh, dude, I got to be honest
- 30:29Speaker 1: with you.
- 30:29Speaker 3: I kind of hope he doesn't get hired because I
- 30:31Speaker 3: love the content coming out.
- 30:33Speaker 1: Oh, he's so good. He's so good, dude. Okay, I
- 30:37Speaker 1: don't mean to break the internet right now. You think
- 30:39Speaker 1: he gets rehired at Florida State? No, no, way better
- 30:42Speaker 1: than that. Jimbo Fisher, Jameis Winston Podcast. Okay. Sign me up.
- 30:49Speaker 1: Like only fans CBS, CBS. Where are you? Let me
- 30:54Speaker 1: call it. Let me call it. All right. Last one.
- 30:57Speaker 1: Friday night, Texas tech in trouble against Houston.
- 31:02Speaker 3: I've seen this story before. Let me tell you about
- 31:05Speaker 3: a little boy three years ago. I sound like this.
- 31:07Speaker 2: You sound like Pate talking about Meemaw.
- 31:11Speaker 3: First and foremost, let's get this understood. I hope he watches.
- 31:16Speaker 3: My Meemaw was first. My Meemaw was first.
- 31:19Speaker 1: Okay, hold on.
- 31:23Speaker 2: Don't you talk about my Meemaw. I need Peyton to
- 31:26Speaker 2: produce a picture of me. We've never seen Meemaw. This
- 31:29Speaker 2: is actually Meemaw.
- 31:30Speaker 3: Here's my Meemaw. Take that, Peyton, with your white shirt.
- 31:33Speaker 3: Talk to him this morning.
- 31:34Speaker 1: Love you.
- 31:36Speaker 3: Anyway, I have seen this story before, TJ, in New
- 31:42Speaker 3: Orleans with Willie Fritz.
- 31:44Speaker 1: I've seen it before.
- 31:46Speaker 3: Oh, a top 12 team who's a group of six
- 31:50Speaker 3: team that can make a playoff.
- 31:51Speaker 1: But here comes little old Tulane. Here comes little old Tulane.
- 31:56Speaker 1: I'm going to take the Cougars. I'm hearing some things
- 31:59Speaker 1: around Will Hammond.
- 32:00Speaker 3: Tommy Castellanos might have to go a little bit sooner
- 32:03Speaker 3: than people understand. I don't know if that knee is
- 32:06Speaker 3: fully ready to go. I think that Houston run defense
- 32:10Speaker 3: with a Texas Tech run offense who's been a little skeptic.
- 32:13Speaker 1: I got to go Houston.
- 32:15Speaker 3: The first time it's going to rain in Lubbock since
- 32:17Speaker 3: Cody Campbell paid all the millions to Brendan Sorsby. Oh,
- 32:21Speaker 3: he see because he was making it rain.
- 32:22Speaker 1: See the dad joke.
- 32:23Speaker 3: I was.
- 32:23Speaker 1: Yeah, I got it.
- 32:24Speaker 3: I'm going to go Houston. I just think Texas Tech
- 32:29Speaker 3: has a little bit more flaws. By the way, both
- 32:32Speaker 3: of them have a common opponent. that's secondary for Texas
- 32:35Speaker 3: tech in the rain and torrential downpour got cooked more
- 32:39Speaker 3: than what Houston did in week one. I'm going to
- 32:41Speaker 3: go Texas. I mean, I'm going to go Houston just
- 32:44Speaker 3: because I don't think that my body will allow me
- 32:48Speaker 3: to pick against Willie Fritz in year three.
- 32:51Speaker 2: Completely unrelated. And I, sound like such a loser saying this.
- 32:55Speaker 2: My hot take so far, I don't know if it's
- 32:56Speaker 2: a hot take. Oregon State's the best 0-2 team in
- 32:58Speaker 2: the country, just to let everybody know. I know you're
- 33:00Speaker 2: not going to tune into Oregon State games this year.
- 33:02Speaker 1: I'm not even asking you to. But they are the
- 33:04Speaker 1: best 0-2 team. How about Brian Kelly?
- 33:06Speaker 3: BK's kind of getting some love from people because he
- 33:09Speaker 3: was on the call and he goes... Listen, I watched
- 33:11Speaker 3: this film versus text with Houston. He was talking about
- 33:14Speaker 3: receiver Legree at Oregon State. He goes, this kid reminds
- 33:18Speaker 3: me of neighbors. He's about to go for 200 today.
- 33:21Speaker 3: Gets roasted on social media by tech fans. Yeah.
- 33:25Speaker 1: The kid went for 200 in the torrential down.
- 33:27Speaker 3: I'm like, look at BK getting some love like he's
- 33:30Speaker 3: Jimbo Fisher.
- 33:32Speaker 1: Oregon State's about to reel off some wins, boys. I
- 33:34Speaker 1: think they are. I'm with you.
- 33:36Speaker 2: I think that they are.
- 33:39Speaker 1: They got Montana. Then they got, shout out to Grizz.
- 33:41Speaker 2: Then they got UTEP, Colorado State, San Diego State, Washington State,
- 33:45Speaker 2: Fresno State, Texas State, Boise State, that'll be tough, and
- 33:49Speaker 2: Utah State.
- 33:50Speaker 1: They could be a 9-3 team. They could be. I agree.
- 33:53Speaker 1: Shout out to them, man. Shout out.
- 33:55Speaker 2: You guys came to college football addiction, didn't think you
- 33:57Speaker 2: would get Oregon State content, but you absolutely did.
- 34:00Speaker 1: All right, LSU Ole Miss, give me a pick.
- 34:05Speaker 3: You know, in the beginning of the week, TJ, I'm
- 34:07Speaker 3: going to quote the great movie, The Replacements. At first,
- 34:11Speaker 3: I was afraid. I was petrified. You were petrified? Listen,
- 34:17Speaker 3: I think that... Oh, God. I think this is going
- 34:22Speaker 3: to be a very close game.
- 34:23Speaker 1: I don't think.
- 34:24Speaker 3: The funny thing about this is that for the first
- 34:26Speaker 3: time in my career for an LSU side of things...
- 34:30Speaker 3: I could see literally anything happening. I could see Ole
- 34:33Speaker 3: Miss blowing out LSU. I could see them winning a
- 34:36Speaker 3: medium-sized game or a very close game.
- 34:39Speaker 1: I could see the opposite for LSU. I don't know
- 34:41Speaker 1: what to expect.
- 34:43Speaker 3: What I think is interesting and something I just can't
- 34:46Speaker 3: get out of my mind is that Ole Miss gave
- 34:47Speaker 3: up 191 rush yards versus Louisville. And I think with
- 34:51Speaker 3: a healthy Sam Levitt, let me say this, with a
- 34:55Speaker 3: 80% Sam Levitt, I don't get in trouble, I think
- 35:00Speaker 3: with this defense, I feel like LSU and Lane are
- 35:04Speaker 3: going to be able to find a way.
- 35:06Speaker 1: I do.
- 35:08Speaker 3: I just will not be surprised either way. I said
- 35:12Speaker 3: LSU 24, Ole Miss 21. That's where I'm sticking with.
- 35:15Speaker 3: That's what I've been feeling all week. That's what I'm
- 35:17Speaker 3: sticking with. If it comes down to a field goal, though.
- 35:21Speaker 1: Ole Miss, man.
- 35:22Speaker 3: My goodness, they have the best kicker in all of
- 35:24Speaker 3: college football, so we'll see. But I got to go
- 35:27Speaker 3: with LSU here. I think that defense is as good
- 35:29Speaker 3: as people think that they are. Can that interior of
- 35:32Speaker 3: the defensive line hold up will be the question. They
- 35:35Speaker 3: got a lot of young talent and five stars there.
- 35:36Speaker 3: Can they hold up enough for those linebackers to get going?
- 35:39Speaker 3: We'll find out. But Trinidad Chambliss is a good quarterback, TJ.
- 35:42Speaker 3: I mean, I really don't know. I'm going to lean LSU,
- 35:45Speaker 3: but it wouldn't surprise me if Ole Miss wins either, man.
