Missing Hiker Patrick Trier Still Unlocated | Salt Lake City News
A 71-year-old hiker, Patrick J. Trier, vanished in Utah’s rugged backcountry after heading into Horseshoe Canyon. Last seen near Moab, he was described with long brown hair, a mustache, and an atrophied right arm — likely wearing jeans, a blue hat, and carrying a small backpack. His maroon Toyota RAV4 was found at the trailhead, but he’s still missing. Search teams from NPS, BLM, and local SAR are battling extreme heat and treacherous terrain.
