Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: Tampa Bay's best music is Magic, 94.9.
- 0:04Speaker 2: And welcome to a new episode of Scotty and Abby Unfiltered.
- 0:07Speaker 2: Gotta give a huge shout out to so many of
- 0:09Speaker 2: you that have been sliding up in my DMs. Also,
- 0:11Speaker 2: I saw your comment on Spotify, Sierra, saying happy birthday,
- 0:14Speaker 2: thank you. As well as Sierra was bragging about you, Abby.
- 0:17Speaker 2: She's been listening to you for a long time since
- 0:19Speaker 2: you were in Atlanta, so.
- 0:20Speaker 1: Did you say Sierra or Sarah?
- 0:22Speaker 3: Sierra.
- 0:23Speaker 4: Sierra, thank you, Sierra, for listening.
- 0:25Speaker 2: Anytime you listen to these episodes, you're like, I want
- 0:27Speaker 2: to be part of the conversation. I go through, like,
- 0:28Speaker 2: every time, and I go through the comments, and hopefully
- 0:30Speaker 2: I can reply back to a couple of you.
- 0:32Speaker 3: Abby, how was your weekend?
- 0:34Speaker 1: It was good.
- 0:34Speaker 4: How was your weekend?
- 0:35Speaker 1: My weekend. Baby 3-0.
- 0:37Speaker 3: Here's the thing. It's a weird feeling to now say
- 0:39Speaker 3: I'm in my 30s. Yeah.
- 0:40Speaker 2: You know, there's so many things I want to dive
- 0:42Speaker 2: into with this conversation because there's so many different emotions
- 0:44Speaker 2: that happen when you get another year older. But my
- 0:47Speaker 2: first emotion when I turned 30 was I got a
- 0:50Speaker 2: little sad because my first emotion was, wow, like, this
- 0:53Speaker 2: life has gone by so quickly.
- 0:55Speaker 3: I'm at an age now.
- 0:56Speaker 2: Like, I knew I would hit this age, but now
- 0:58Speaker 2: it's like, oh, you're in your 30s. Somebody said to
- 1:01Speaker 2: me the other day.
- 1:02Speaker 3: Aren't you supposed to have your shit together? I'm like,
- 1:03Speaker 3: I hope not, because I don't.
- 1:06Speaker 2: But I was thinking about it, and I thought about
- 1:07Speaker 2: it from, like, my family's perspective. And that's kind of
- 1:10Speaker 2: what got me a little sad, because I was thinking
- 1:12Speaker 2: about my dad, and I was like, what a weird feeling,
- 1:14Speaker 2: you know, for a parent to now say, wow, my
- 1:17Speaker 2: kids are in their 30s. And I'm at the age
- 1:20Speaker 2: now where not only was my dad married, but him
- 1:23Speaker 2: and my mom... We're just having my brother and me.
- 1:27Speaker 2: And that's a weird eye-opening moment. Like, wow, we're at
- 1:31Speaker 2: the time that you thought would never come.
- 1:33Speaker 3: Here we are.
- 1:33Speaker 4: Yeah, I know.
- 1:35Speaker 2: Now, I will say, the celebrations were just absolutely out
- 1:38Speaker 2: of control. And I got to give so much credit
- 1:40Speaker 2: to my girlfriend, Brianda, because I have never had a
- 1:43Speaker 2: birthday like I've had this past weekend.
- 1:45Speaker 4: Aw, she's the best.
- 1:46Speaker 2: I mean, the amount of love that I felt as
- 1:48Speaker 2: soon as I got off the show on Friday, I
- 1:51Speaker 2: walked into my apartment, and I'm like, To be completely
- 1:55Speaker 2: honest with the podcast fam, I'm not always the biggest
- 1:58Speaker 2: fan of my birthday. I usually don't really like to
- 2:00Speaker 2: celebrate it because it's kind of a tough one for me.
- 2:03Speaker 2: But as I walked into my apartment, I see there's
- 2:06Speaker 2: just balloons covering every square foot of my apartment.
- 2:09Speaker 3: I don't have a big one. And attached to each
- 2:11Speaker 3: balloon is a letter and a picture.
- 2:14Speaker 2: And one of the things that every now and then
- 2:16Speaker 2: I get a little open about is sometimes I forget
- 2:20Speaker 2: that I have people in my corner, that I have
- 2:22Speaker 2: people that I could turn to.
- 2:23Speaker 3: That I could call on.
- 2:24Speaker 2: I have people that live all over the country, but
- 2:27Speaker 2: you forget sometimes how many people are actually there for you.
- 2:31Speaker 2: And so what she decided to do is she attached
- 2:33Speaker 2: a letter and a picture from 30 different people in
- 2:36Speaker 2: my life to represent 30 people as I'm turning 30
- 2:41Speaker 2: to remind me, because sometimes my mind gets a little
- 2:43Speaker 2: dark and it tells me that I'm alone.
- 2:46Speaker 3: And it was all the message of, you're never alone.
- 2:48Speaker 2: Here's 30 people that not only love you, but they
- 2:52Speaker 2: wrote messages to you, that they're always there for you.
- 2:55Speaker 2: And so anytime your mind gets a little dark and
- 2:57Speaker 2: it tries to tell you that nobody's there for you,
- 2:59Speaker 2: here's your reminder. And just that alone, I was like,
- 3:02Speaker 2: that's like the sweetest thing anybody's ever done.
- 3:04Speaker 4: Yeah, that is so kind of her.
- 3:05Speaker 3: Yeah, because it's not an item.
- 3:06Speaker 1: And how creative too.
- 3:07Speaker 2: Yeah, like it's not an item. It's not something that,
- 3:09Speaker 2: you know, you have to spend a ton of money on.
- 3:11Speaker 3: It's the thought. It's the fact that you went above
- 3:14Speaker 3: and beyond knowing where.
- 3:16Speaker 2: I sit sometimes because, you know, as personalities on the
- 3:19Speaker 2: radio and on Instagram, it's very easy to say, oh
- 3:21Speaker 2: my God, They got all their stuff together all the time.
- 3:24Speaker 3: It's not the truth.
- 3:25Speaker 1: Well, it's our job to look like we have our
- 3:27Speaker 1: stuff together or I guess sometimes our job to show
- 3:29Speaker 1: when we don't have our stuff together.
- 3:32Speaker 4: But I guess in like a polished, palatable, commercial way.
- 3:36Speaker 2: Yes. Like you can't always because the truth is not
- 3:39Speaker 2: everybody wants to hear that because everyone's got stuff.
- 3:41Speaker 3: Everyone's got problems.
- 3:42Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 3:43Speaker 2: And as I saw that, I was like, that's so
- 3:45Speaker 2: thoughtful because those are just little comments I've made here
- 3:47Speaker 2: and there about how hard it is sometimes to feel
- 3:49Speaker 2: like you know, I could lean on someone or who
- 3:52Speaker 2: I could lean towards. And to have that, I was
- 3:54Speaker 2: like that already birthday set, but then it just continued
- 4:00Speaker 2: to pile on. And I'm going to give you this
- 4:01Speaker 2: idea for the podcast fam, because if you have not
- 4:04Speaker 2: set up your own personal wine pairing night, this was
- 4:08Speaker 2: the most fun that I've had in my apartment.
- 4:11Speaker 3: So you've probably seen this on Instagram where it's like.
- 4:13Speaker 2: You lay out the paper on a table and you
- 4:16Speaker 2: set up your own wine tasting and So Brianna set
- 4:18Speaker 2: all of that up.
- 4:19Speaker 3: Like you get a bunch of different wines for all
- 4:21Speaker 3: your different palates. And then you could either go online
- 4:23Speaker 3: and you could do what we did.
- 4:24Speaker 2: We just go on chat GPT and you just go
- 4:27Speaker 2: through and you have the perfect pairing lined up.
- 4:29Speaker 3: Like, okay, we have a bubbly.
- 4:30Speaker 2: Here's the perfect kind of cheese and the perfect kind
- 4:32Speaker 2: of olive and the perfect kind of prosciutto.
- 4:35Speaker 3: And you go down the line.
- 4:36Speaker 2: It's like, you're going out to a fancy restaurant to
- 4:38Speaker 2: get a wine pairing, but we did it right in
- 4:40Speaker 2: the comfort of our home and just had the wine
- 4:43Speaker 2: had the cheese and And then had the most incredible
- 4:46Speaker 2: dinner with like ribeyes and scallops just at home. And
- 4:50Speaker 2: it spoke perfectly to my love language. Like I'm not
- 4:52Speaker 2: somebody that wants to go out and have the fanciest dinner.
- 4:55Speaker 2: Like every now and then that's fine. Yeah.
- 4:56Speaker 3: But the comfort of my house. Oh my God. It
- 5:00Speaker 3: was literally heaven. Yeah.
- 5:01Speaker 4: She knows you so well.
- 5:03Speaker 2: It was so cool to just be able to sit
- 5:04Speaker 2: back and take in every moment where it wasn't overwhelming.
- 5:09Speaker 2: There wasn't too many things to do. It was just
- 5:11Speaker 2: the right amount of things. Then the day after, and
- 5:13Speaker 2: we talked about this a little bit on the podcast,
- 5:15Speaker 2: went out to Pig Jig. Girl, you would have loved
- 5:18Speaker 2: Pig Jig. I know.
- 5:18Speaker 1: I had somebody invite me last minute, but I was
- 5:22Speaker 1: asked to come to the Rowdies game, and there was only, like,
- 5:24Speaker 1: one I could go to. It was either this Saturday
- 5:26Speaker 1: or bus. And so I was like, well, they were
- 5:28Speaker 1: nice enough to give me fuel passes. I don't want
- 5:30Speaker 1: to bail, especially because I post so much about Tampa
- 5:32Speaker 1: sports that I'm like, how rude of me to now
- 5:35Speaker 1: shut this down, to be like, no, I have better
- 5:37Speaker 1: things than you. Also, I quite frankly didn't.
- 5:39Speaker 4: Even know what pig jig was until this week.
- 5:41Speaker 3: I didn't either. Until you showed up.
- 5:42Speaker 1: But it looked like literally everybody was there. I was like,
- 5:44Speaker 1: how did no one, how did I.
- 5:46Speaker 4: Not hear about this?
- 5:47Speaker 2: Well, that's what everyone is asking me because this is
- 5:48Speaker 2: the first time I've been. And I've lived in Tampa
- 5:50Speaker 2: now for 11 years. And you walk in and just
- 5:53Speaker 2: picture like a college tailgate. Yeah. Where there's just tents
- 5:57Speaker 2: everywhere and there's smoke up in the air from all
- 5:59Speaker 2: everyone's smokers.
- 6:00Speaker 3: They've been there since 4 a.m. And it just smells
- 6:03Speaker 3: like the greatest barbecue because it is.
- 6:05Speaker 4: And Thomas Rhett performed.
- 6:06Speaker 3: And Thomas Rhett was out there.
- 6:07Speaker 1: Yeah, and he just has so many good hits that
- 6:09Speaker 1: I feel like if you are even just a casual
- 6:11Speaker 1: country fan or you just like being in a country
- 6:13Speaker 1: music environment, like he's the perfect person to play.
- 6:15Speaker 2: It was the perfect tailgate setup because you're just sitting
- 6:18Speaker 2: out there talking, having a couple of drinks, eating like,
- 6:21Speaker 2: The best barbecue because they're just everyone's just handing you
- 6:23Speaker 2: samples because it's all competition. So they're delivering these big
- 6:26Speaker 2: pallets to the judges. But as you walk by, you
- 6:29Speaker 2: get snag a little bit, too. So we had a
- 6:32Speaker 2: ball out there Saturday. I had no idea how because
- 6:34Speaker 2: I mean, as social as I am, I do have
- 6:36Speaker 2: a battery. Like I get to a point where I'm like,
- 6:38Speaker 2: all right, I'm good, man. That battery is riding high
- 6:40Speaker 2: because it's just all good vibes.
- 6:41Speaker 3: Yeah. Nobody's like our shots in the corner. No, I'm good.
- 6:44Speaker 2: But you can have a beer and then just have
- 6:46Speaker 2: conversations with different people as if you're at a college
- 6:49Speaker 2: football tailgate. Because everyone has their TV screens up, so
- 6:51Speaker 2: you're watching college football as well. So Pig Jig was
- 6:54Speaker 2: an absolute blast. I'm going to say one of the
- 6:57Speaker 2: best events in Tampa Bay.
- 6:58Speaker 1: Really?
- 6:58Speaker 4: Well, I'll have to make it a point to go
- 7:00Speaker 4: next year.
- 7:00Speaker 3: But what are your thoughts on the Rowdies game, though?
- 7:02Speaker 3: Because I've mentioned the Rowdies to you before. We've had
- 7:04Speaker 3: little conversations about it, and you finally got to go.
- 7:06Speaker 1: Yeah, it was cool. I mean, I just love seeing
- 7:08Speaker 1: people be around things that they're excited about. It was
- 7:12Speaker 1: really cool. They have this whole... And I mean this
- 7:14Speaker 1: in a very complimentary way. This is going to sound
- 7:17Speaker 1: like it's condescending, but it felt like a big high
- 7:19Speaker 1: school football game. I remember in high school, we would
- 7:22Speaker 1: have the student section and we'd have chants and we
- 7:25Speaker 1: would have posters and everyone's wearing their specific colored gear.
- 7:28Speaker 1: And when you go to a game, and don't get
- 7:31Speaker 1: me wrong, you're talking to a person who loves going
- 7:32Speaker 1: to a lightning game.
- 7:33Speaker 4: I do like a football game. I like a tailgate.
- 7:36Speaker 3: But.
- 7:37Speaker 1: It's sort of like there's no sense of camaraderie in
- 7:41Speaker 1: cheering for the team, like unless something is happening. Whereas
- 7:45Speaker 1: the whole time from start to finish at the Tampa
- 7:47Speaker 1: Bay Rowdy game, Tampa Bay Rowdy's game, there's like the
- 7:50Speaker 1: big cheering section where they've got the smoke machines and
- 7:54Speaker 1: There's a drum playing and they've got chants. And I'm like, wow,
- 7:57Speaker 1: it's really cool to see like these people come out
- 7:59Speaker 1: every single week for these guys that they don't even
- 8:00Speaker 1: know personally.
- 8:01Speaker 4: Like, it's very cool.
- 8:02Speaker 3: I love that.
- 8:03Speaker 2: I love that comparison because I don't think that's a
- 8:04Speaker 2: diss at all. Like going to a high school game.
- 8:06Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 8:06Speaker 2: Because we lose that camaraderie as we go up. Like
- 8:09Speaker 2: professional sports are extremely fun. But you compare that to
- 8:12Speaker 2: a college football game, and we're talking two different sports. 100%.
- 8:15Speaker 1: And I feel like especially with professional teams, and this
- 8:18Speaker 1: is why I've never been like, and I'm sitting here
- 8:20Speaker 1: in a Jacksonville Jaguars shirt, so this is going.
- 8:22Speaker 4: To sound completely hypocritical.
- 8:24Speaker 1: This is why I've never been like a big NFL
- 8:26Speaker 1: fan specifically, because I don't really understand where the loyalty
- 8:29Speaker 1: comes from. Like, I can tell you why I'm a
- 8:32Speaker 1: University of Florida fan. It's because my whole family went
- 8:34Speaker 1: to UF. I attended the school. Like, you're never going
- 8:37Speaker 1: to see me wearing an FSU jersey. Meanwhile, I'll wear
- 8:40Speaker 1: a Bucks jersey. I'll wear a Cowboys, maybe not a
- 8:42Speaker 1: Cowboys jersey. I'll wear a Jaguar. Like anybody I'm a
- 8:45Speaker 1: casual fan of, I'll throw that jersey on all day. And,
- 8:49Speaker 1: you know, I can be a casual fan and enjoy it.
- 8:51Speaker 1: But like when it comes to the Gators, like, yeah,
- 8:54Speaker 1: I want the Gators to win. And I think you
- 8:57Speaker 1: kind of see that trickle in because it's such a
- 8:58Speaker 1: business that, for example, I was at the Lightning game
- 9:01Speaker 1: on Saturday and I was just there going to have
- 9:03Speaker 1: a bev and then go to the Rowdies game and
- 9:04Speaker 1: then meet my friends out. And the people in front
- 9:07Speaker 1: of me I was getting so annoyed with that, like,
- 9:09Speaker 1: they weren't paying attention at all. They're gabbing, they're chatting.
- 9:12Speaker 1: And I'm like, love a gab, love a chit chat. Like,
- 9:16Speaker 1: I go to sports games because I like the social
- 9:18Speaker 1: aspect of it. But at some point, shut up.
- 9:20Speaker 3: You know what I mean?
- 9:21Speaker 1: At some point, like, it just seems like you don't
- 9:22Speaker 1: even really care that they're playing. which is fine, but
- 9:25Speaker 1: then go somewhere else. Go watch it at a sports bar.
- 9:28Speaker 3: Yeah, that's more of the vibe for that.
- 9:29Speaker 1: You're in the arena. And listen, I'm guilty of that too,
- 9:32Speaker 1: but it was just kind of like, I feel like
- 9:34Speaker 1: I've been in this situation so many times this week
- 9:36Speaker 1: or the last couple times I've been to the games
- 9:37Speaker 1: where I'm like, do you want to watch it or not?
- 9:39Speaker 1: Do you want to watch them play?
- 9:41Speaker 2: That's a good point because when you're there, you're literally
- 9:43Speaker 2: there for the sport, but it also is such a
- 9:44Speaker 2: social environment.
- 9:45Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 9:46Speaker 3: Of like what you talk about.
- 9:47Speaker 1: And it's not like they're bad. It's not like we're
- 9:49Speaker 1: watching the Bucks play and it's like, dear God.
- 9:51Speaker 3: We're losing again.
- 9:51Speaker 4: I turned my attention away.
- 9:52Speaker 1: You know what I mean? Like you got to do
- 9:54Speaker 1: something else. Like they're actively like scoring and dunking and
- 9:56Speaker 1: fighting on these people.
- 9:58Speaker 4: And I'm like, pay attention.
- 9:59Speaker 2: Yeah, I know. just want to like turn their head
- 10:01Speaker 2: and be like look that's why you're here you bought
- 10:03Speaker 2: the ticket to be here but it's also nice because
- 10:05Speaker 2: it's a beautiful that's why lightning games are superior because
- 10:07Speaker 2: you're in the ac you get nice food and nice
- 10:09Speaker 2: drinks you can just cozy up in your seats And hang.
- 10:11Speaker 3: Out all day.
- 10:12Speaker 4: And I do love a club seat because I love
- 10:14Speaker 4: an open bar.
- 10:15Speaker 3: I mean, that looked real nice.
- 10:16Speaker 1: It's really great. I'd be hitting up Mikeo every single week.
- 10:18Speaker 1: I'm like, do you have tickets? And he's like, well,
- 10:19Speaker 1: there's two people with a request. And I'm like, it's
- 10:21Speaker 1: totally fine. If I don't get them, it's whatever. But
- 10:23Speaker 1: give them to me.
- 10:24Speaker 2: That's so convenient for you, too, because if it's like
- 10:26Speaker 2: last minute and he does tell you, like you live
- 10:29Speaker 2: so close that it's like, hell yeah.
- 10:31Speaker 3: I'll go.
- 10:31Speaker 1: I'm like, why would I not go? It's free dinner
- 10:33Speaker 1: and drinks. It's right down the street from me. They're good.
- 10:37Speaker 1: And I will say, like, it is nice because there's
- 10:39Speaker 1: so many people our age there, and it doesn't feel weird. Like,
- 10:42Speaker 1: for example, on Saturday I went by myself. Like, no
- 10:43Speaker 1: one could go with me Saturday, so I'm like, I'm
- 10:45Speaker 1: just going to bop down, watch, have a bev. But
- 10:47Speaker 1: if I wanted to bump into somebody at a different table,
- 10:50Speaker 1: I'd be like, can I stand here?
- 10:51Speaker 4: And then maybe you mingle with them that way. It's
- 10:53Speaker 4: a very fun social atmosphere.
- 10:55Speaker 2: Yeah, and the energy is always good. People are in
- 10:57Speaker 2: good spirits. Like, there's some sports teams that I swear, like,
- 11:00Speaker 2: the fans are.
- 11:01Speaker 3: Just absolute D-bags. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 11:04Speaker 2: Like, we don't have that here. Like, we joke around.
- 11:07Speaker 2: We'll make fun of other teams. But it's not like a,
- 11:09Speaker 2: I don't know. We're not going to die on the
- 11:11Speaker 2: hill that our team is always the greatest.
- 11:13Speaker 3: Like, we're going to support you coming into our arena.
- 11:15Speaker 4: Yeah, I think that's like a northern NFL situation.
- 11:18Speaker 3: It's weird.
- 11:18Speaker 4: It's like Bill's Mafia. And listen, like, again, I love
- 11:20Speaker 4: the passion.
- 11:21Speaker 3: You love the passion.
- 11:22Speaker 1: You're never going to hear me say stop being excited
- 11:24Speaker 1: about your team.
- 11:25Speaker 2: Yes.
- 11:26Speaker 4: But sometimes I do be.
- 11:27Speaker 1: Like, did you see the Yankees fans that were trying
- 11:29Speaker 1: to fight some of the Rays fans?
- 11:31Speaker 3: Absolutely.
- 11:31Speaker 4: At the trop, I'm like, it's not that serious.
- 11:33Speaker 3: And that's exactly how I feel.
- 11:34Speaker 1: It's only game.
- 11:35Speaker 3: It's only game, and you are not getting paid. Like,
- 11:38Speaker 3: you are no part of this. You're just simply the fan. Like,
- 11:41Speaker 3: be the fan, but don't be the one getting in fights.
- 11:44Speaker 3: Now you look like an idiot.
- 11:45Speaker 2: I know.
- 11:45Speaker 4: Now you just look dumb.
- 11:46Speaker 3: Now I look so dumb.
- 11:47Speaker 1: You're brawling over what? Like, these people don't know your name.
- 11:50Speaker 1: They're getting paid millions of dollars to play ball and
- 11:53Speaker 1: wear their cute little uniform and bop around and do
- 11:57Speaker 1: media interviews.
- 11:58Speaker 3: Yeah, like, you don't need to be getting in fights.
- 12:00Speaker 3: Have your little back and forth, but that's the fun
- 12:02Speaker 3: of it. I know.
- 12:03Speaker 2: But then we all just become little, like, I don't know, cavemen.
- 12:05Speaker 2: But speaking of sports, really quick, and you just said
- 12:07Speaker 2: the Gators. Congratulations to your Gators. Did you see, like,
- 12:09Speaker 2: beating Texas?
- 12:10Speaker 3: Thank God.
- 12:10Speaker 1: Did you see our coach's interview? He was like, we
- 12:12Speaker 1: still suck, but we just suck a little less right now.
- 12:16Speaker 1: I love, can I just say this? I do want
- 12:18Speaker 1: to start a series where I just highlight unhinged sports
- 12:22Speaker 1: post-game interviews. Like, Cooch's interview after the game on Saturday.
- 12:26Speaker 1: He just, like, does not want to be there, but
- 12:30Speaker 1: he's the best player on the team. So they have
- 12:32Speaker 1: to talk to him because he scored twice on Saturday.
- 12:34Speaker 1: And he just like, it's just so funny to me
- 12:36Speaker 1: when coaches or players just decide to screw the PR answer. Yes.
- 12:44Speaker 4: And like, I get it.
- 12:45Speaker 1: Like you're representing a multimillion or billion dollar brand. Like
- 12:49Speaker 1: you don't want to F up, but when they just
- 12:52Speaker 1: decide to be like, yeah, we suck, but we suck
- 12:54Speaker 1: a little less now. I'm like, I feel so much
- 12:56Speaker 1: more connected to you as a coach or a player.
- 12:58Speaker 1: And I'm like, I want to root for you because
- 13:01Speaker 1: I feel like you're being a person with me.
- 13:02Speaker 2: That's a great way to look at it because it's true.
- 13:05Speaker 3: You have to connect with your fans. That's what we're
- 13:07Speaker 3: all thinking.
- 13:07Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 13:08Speaker 3: If you're a Gator fan, you're like, yeah, that's exciting.
- 13:11Speaker 1: What does that mean like yeah i know like where
- 13:13Speaker 1: do we go from here guys tell it to me
- 13:15Speaker 1: like we're having a beer together.
- 13:16Speaker 2: Correct and now you're now a human even though you're
- 13:18Speaker 2: getting paid like so those coaches get paid so much
- 13:21Speaker 2: money so much that's why i never feel bad when
- 13:24Speaker 2: they get booted.
- 13:25Speaker 3: People are like oh my god their family y'all they
- 13:28Speaker 3: got millions they're sitting.
- 13:30Speaker 1: On that's my dream is to be a the wife
- 13:33Speaker 1: of a college football coach who's terrible at his job
- 13:36Speaker 1: I'll spend one year in Starkville, and then we'll go
- 13:39Speaker 1: just buy our house in the Bahamas somewhere.
- 13:41Speaker 2: It's just wild to me because everyone knows how much
- 13:44Speaker 2: players get paid.
- 13:45Speaker 3: And then you look into the coaches, you're like, oh,
- 13:47Speaker 3: this is a whole different ballgame.
- 13:48Speaker 4: No, it's crazy.
- 13:49Speaker 1: And listen, like, if there's a good coach, if you've
- 13:51Speaker 1: got a good coach on your hands, they deserve that money.
- 13:53Speaker 2: 100%.
- 13:53Speaker 1: But if we're losing and losing and losing and losing
- 13:56Speaker 1: and losing, it's like, what are you doing?
- 13:58Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 13:58Speaker 2: I mean, and speaking of Florida, I was just– now
- 14:00Speaker 2: I'm so wrapped up in Florida sports because that's where
- 14:02Speaker 2: Breonda went, and that's where, like, so many– My family
- 14:04Speaker 2: all went to Florida, too.
- 14:05Speaker 3: By the way, I was a Gator fan my entire life.
- 14:08Speaker 4: You can still be a Gator fan.
- 14:09Speaker 3: I'm starting to be. I rooted for them for Texas.
- 14:12Speaker 2: Yeah. And I will root for them coming up against Georgia.
- 14:15Speaker 2: And I know that game's massive.
- 14:17Speaker 1: I know.
- 14:17Speaker 2: I've heard about that rivalry since I was a little
- 14:19Speaker 2: kid in, like, diapers. I know.
- 14:21Speaker 1: We have a lot of Georgia fans listening. And so
- 14:22Speaker 1: I will say, I grew up being such a Georgia
- 14:24Speaker 1: hater because I'm a Florida fan.
- 14:25Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 14:26Speaker 4: I will say I got so pissed.
- 14:27Speaker 1: Off the first time I went to Athens because UGA
- 14:29Speaker 1: is a good school, but it also has a beautiful campus,
- 14:32Speaker 1: and they're also great at sports.
- 14:34Speaker 4: And I'm like, gosh darn it. I was like, y'all
- 14:35Speaker 4: don't deserve all this.
- 14:36Speaker 3: Yeah, like you can't have it all.
- 14:38Speaker 1: And they're in the mountains, and they're in a great
- 14:39Speaker 1: college town.
- 14:40Speaker 4: And listen, like I love UF.
- 14:42Speaker 1: Like I would not have traded my experience for anything.
- 14:44Speaker 1: Like that was my college experience. But I do remember
- 14:46Speaker 1: walking around and going, gosh darn it. Like this is
- 14:49Speaker 1: a great school. I felt like– I felt like I
- 14:52Speaker 1: was a kid in North Korea discovering America's not evil
- 14:54Speaker 1: for the first time.
- 14:55Speaker 3: You're like, wait, they're not as bad as we've always
- 14:57Speaker 3: said they are.
- 14:58Speaker 1: I was like, wait a second, the propaganda I've been
- 14:59Speaker 1: fed my whole life is wrong.
- 15:01Speaker 2: That's a funny thing, though, because every school is missing something.
- 15:05Speaker 2: You can't have it all. Let's take Georgia out of
- 15:08Speaker 2: the X. Let's just look at Florida schools. We have
- 15:11Speaker 2: great schools in Florida.
- 15:12Speaker 3: Great schools.
- 15:12Speaker 2: What is their one missing piece? And we could speak
- 15:15Speaker 2: on our own schools for a second.
- 15:16Speaker 1: Yeah, well, I think Florida's campus could be better. Like,
- 15:19Speaker 1: Florida doesn't have the most aesthetically pleasing campus. There are
- 15:23Speaker 1: areas that are beautiful. Like, you'll turn a corner and
- 15:26Speaker 1: you'll be like, that's the most beautiful building I've ever seen.
- 15:28Speaker 1: But then the 60s hit and they decided to do
- 15:30Speaker 1: all this random new century modern bullshit.
- 15:33Speaker 4: And you're like, why would you guys do that?
- 15:35Speaker 3: Oh, you like a theme.
- 15:36Speaker 4: I like a theme. I like cohesion.
- 15:37Speaker 1: And UGA is a very regal place. prestigious looking campus.
- 15:42Speaker 3: Is it like brick? I've never been on that campus.
- 15:44Speaker 1: There's pillars. It's whatever that Greek revival BS is. Do
- 15:48Speaker 1: you know what I mean?
- 15:48Speaker 4: Like you walk around and there's pillars and there's a quad.
- 15:51Speaker 4: UF doesn't have a quad.
- 15:53Speaker 1: Oh no, we did have like one big grassy lawn
- 15:56Speaker 1: but you know, there wasn't, you know, it's very spread out.
- 16:00Speaker 4: It's cute, but it's not. No one's going to say
- 16:02Speaker 4: UF is the most beautiful campus they've ever seen.
- 16:04Speaker 2: Yeah. And I look at USF and I loved USF.
- 16:07Speaker 2: But one thing we're missing is like that college town feel.
- 16:09Speaker 3: Yeah. You step off of USF's campus, you're now in
- 16:11Speaker 3: Temple Terrace.
- 16:12Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 16:12Speaker 1: You're in Tampa.
- 16:13Speaker 3: Yeah. Like you're just running around with people that are
- 16:15Speaker 3: doing God knows what. Yeah.
- 16:16Speaker 2: You know, it is one of those weird campuses where
- 16:19Speaker 2: you got to just stay on campus.
- 16:20Speaker 1: And it's kind of how UCF is. Miami's cool because
- 16:23Speaker 1: it's a city school. It looks like a city school.
- 16:25Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 16:26Speaker 1: People would rave about Florida State's campus all the time.
- 16:28Speaker 1: And I remember the first time I went to, the
- 16:30Speaker 1: first and only time I've been to FSU. I walked
- 16:32Speaker 1: around and I was like, this just looks like Florida.
- 16:34Speaker 1: This looks exactly like UF.
- 16:35Speaker 2: That's what I thought when I went and visited. But
- 16:37Speaker 2: I knew when I went there, I was like, nah,
- 16:39Speaker 2: I don't want to deal with all this. It just
- 16:40Speaker 2: didn't feel like the vibe for me.
- 16:42Speaker 4: I felt the same way.
- 16:43Speaker 1: Like, I always had a lot of respect for FSU
- 16:46Speaker 1: growing up because the other half of my family cheers
- 16:48Speaker 1: for FSU. We had that big rivalry. It's the other
- 16:50Speaker 1: big Florida school. But I've been to Florida State twice.
- 16:54Speaker 1: I've been once for a football game and I went
- 16:55Speaker 1: once just to walk around because we were there for
- 16:57Speaker 1: something else. And I remember just thinking, the vibe here
- 17:01Speaker 1: is off. There's something weird about the vibe. I can't
- 17:05Speaker 1: describe it. It's just a weird vibe. When I went
- 17:08Speaker 1: to the Rowdies game and everyone was excited and cheering
- 17:10Speaker 1: for their team and they're like, rah, rah, go Rowdies.
- 17:12Speaker 4: When I went to the FSU game, I was like,
- 17:14Speaker 4: no one really seems that excited.
- 17:15Speaker 3: To be here. You know what I mean? A down
- 17:18Speaker 3: time for them.
- 17:18Speaker 4: Yeah, it's kind of a down time for them.
- 17:19Speaker 2: The one campus that I keep hearing people rave about
- 17:21Speaker 2: in Florida is FGCU.
- 17:23Speaker 4: I bet that's pretty, yeah.
- 17:25Speaker 3: It's right on the water, and people just rave about it.
- 17:27Speaker 1: FAU, beautiful.
- 17:29Speaker 3: Oh, that one is beautiful, too.
- 17:30Speaker 1: FIU, I'm sure, is beautiful.
- 17:31Speaker 2: If you could go back, and let's just take our
- 17:33Speaker 2: schools out of it. If you could go to another
- 17:34Speaker 2: school that wasn't the one that you went to.
- 17:35Speaker 1: Well, it's funny that we played Texas this weekend, because
- 17:37Speaker 1: I really wanted to go to UT Austin. I think
- 17:39Speaker 1: UT Austin's a great school. The only thing is, I
- 17:42Speaker 1: have mixed feelings about schools that are in cities.
- 17:45Speaker 4: Like, I don't know why.
- 17:46Speaker 1: And maybe it's because I'm a Florida fan that in
- 17:48Speaker 1: my mind, when you go to college, you need to
- 17:50Speaker 1: live in a college town.
- 17:51Speaker 3: It's a valid thing to say. I thought I wanted
- 17:53Speaker 3: that too. I did want that.
- 17:54Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 17:55Speaker 3: Then I had the other experience.
- 17:56Speaker 1: And I think there's definitely benefits to going to school
- 17:58Speaker 1: in a city. Like, I remember when I was either,
- 18:02Speaker 1: I think I was a junior. I got a last
- 18:04Speaker 1: minute interview to be a Today Show intern. And so
- 18:06Speaker 1: I flew up to go interview. And it was such
- 18:11Speaker 1: a weird experience. That's like a whole other side story.
- 18:13Speaker 1: But I was surrounded by city kids. I was surrounded
- 18:16Speaker 1: by people who went to Syracuse, Columbia, like people who,
- 18:19Speaker 1: schools that didn't even have journalism programs, but they're just
- 18:21Speaker 1: there because they're in the city.
- 18:23Speaker 4: And obviously they have prestigious names.
- 18:25Speaker 1: And I was like, it was like my first welcome
- 18:27Speaker 1: to the real world moment where I was like, oh,
- 18:30Speaker 1: nepotism is alive and well. Like I'm here because one
- 18:34Speaker 1: of the producers is a Florida grad. And so they're like, oh,
- 18:38Speaker 1: UF is a great journalism school. Of course, I'm going
- 18:40Speaker 1: to bring somebody from Florida up for an interview. And
- 18:42Speaker 1: then you're surrounded by people who are, like, economics majors.
- 18:45Speaker 4: And you're like, oh, so you're here because you know somebody.
- 18:48Speaker 1: Yeah, you know somebody.
- 18:48Speaker 4: Or because you went to Columbia, yeah.
- 18:49Speaker 3: Yeah, like, you have no pull. Like, why? Do you
- 18:52Speaker 3: even want this? You just want it for the title.
- 18:53Speaker 1: Yeah, or you're in the city, so it's an easy
- 18:56Speaker 1: get for them to just come up to 30 Rock
- 18:57Speaker 1: and you interview.
- 18:58Speaker 3: Yeah, that's super easy for them. It would be nice.
- 19:00Speaker 2: I always wanted the college town vibe where, I will say, like,
- 19:03Speaker 2: there's a couple schools when I went and visited that
- 19:05Speaker 2: I was like, damn, this is crazy. going to UF
- 19:07Speaker 2: is one where it's like, you just go on campus
- 19:09Speaker 2: and everyone's tailgating.
- 19:11Speaker 3: And I'm like, this looks sweet. I remember going in.
- 19:15Speaker 2: I think the bar scene, I don't think I would
- 19:16Speaker 2: have survived, but at FSU, I just remember I went
- 19:18Speaker 2: and visited friends one time. And I remember it felt
- 19:21Speaker 2: like we left their dorm and within 15 steps, we
- 19:24Speaker 2: were already.
- 19:25Speaker 1: At a bar.
- 19:25Speaker 2: And I was like, the hell is this and it's
- 19:28Speaker 2: just bop bop bop bop bop right down this row
- 19:30Speaker 2: i don't think i would have survived that it's.
- 19:32Speaker 1: Definitely more of a party vibe i never partied at
- 19:34Speaker 1: fsu that might be one of my one regrets from
- 19:36Speaker 1: college because everyone talks about what a party vibe it
- 19:39Speaker 1: is and i just never had the need to go
- 19:41Speaker 1: to fsu so i never went yeah but i mean
- 19:44Speaker 1: uf was a perfectly sufficient party campus like i feel
- 19:47Speaker 1: like we all partied once maybe twice a week and
- 19:49Speaker 1: then you're.
- 19:49Speaker 2: Good yeah that's the safe thing to do cause if
- 19:51Speaker 2: you do it anymore you're gonna be like dropping out
- 19:53Speaker 2: all that money I do like if I could I'm
- 19:56Speaker 2: excited for USF because I think the missing piece is
- 19:58Speaker 2: like they're getting a stadium next year and I'm hoping
- 20:01Speaker 2: that they recreate that UF vibe where it's like just
- 20:04Speaker 2: all over the campus or just like I don't know
- 20:06Speaker 2: random tent set up random grill smoking Random TV's on.
- 20:10Speaker 3: Like, have that tailgate vibe.
- 20:12Speaker 2: Like, I'm really hoping that that's what happens next fall
- 20:15Speaker 2: over at USF because that has been, and I fought
- 20:18Speaker 2: for it when I was a student there too, the
- 20:19Speaker 2: missing link for what that campus needs.
- 20:21Speaker 4: For sure. But yeah, UF was great. No notes, but
- 20:24Speaker 4: maybe zhuzh up the campus.
- 20:25Speaker 1: A little bit.
- 20:26Speaker 2: Yeah, and I think we got on that because of
- 20:27Speaker 2: the spirit of what happens between professional sports and college sports.
- 20:31Speaker 2: But going back to, like, high school sports and the
- 20:33Speaker 2: Rowdies game, like, if the Rowdies had more notoriety or
- 20:37Speaker 2: whatever the word is.
- 20:37Speaker 1: Notoriety. Notoriety.
- 20:38Speaker 3: Notoriety. they would be a great.
- 20:41Speaker 2: Environment to be a part of because they really do
- 20:44Speaker 2: encompass what we miss here in not just the Tampa
- 20:48Speaker 2: Bay area, but I think the sports, I guess, sports
- 20:52Speaker 2: area for all sports, you know, like where you go.
- 20:55Speaker 3: And if you watch soccer in another country.
- 20:57Speaker 1: Oh, it's crazy. It's crazy. Well, I mean, even Atlanta
- 21:00Speaker 1: United games. I mean, those fans were passionate. Like, I
- 21:03Speaker 1: think it's a soccer thing. I don't know if it's
- 21:04Speaker 1: just a spirit of tradition or, They have their chants.
- 21:07Speaker 1: They have their scarves. They're waving the scarves. Yeah.
- 21:09Speaker 4: But it is just a different fan base or fan type.
- 21:14Speaker 3: I love that type, though.
- 21:15Speaker 2: I love that type where you go in and it's
- 21:16Speaker 2: just like you're just so energetic. You're just having the
- 21:20Speaker 2: best of times doing the most ridiculous things because that's
- 21:23Speaker 2: how the environment should be.
- 21:24Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 21:24Speaker 3: In my opinion. I mean, it's like you go out there.
- 21:26Speaker 3: You want to get a little rowdy. Sorry for that.
- 21:29Speaker 2: Call back to it but you're stepping into that arena
- 21:32Speaker 2: for that entire call but.
- 21:33Speaker 1: Also it gives you something to do because sometimes I'll
- 21:34Speaker 1: be watching a game and I'll just be like it
- 21:37Speaker 1: would be more fun if we felt all involved but
- 21:40Speaker 1: I'm not going to be like the one person who's
- 21:41Speaker 1: like let's go books I know.
- 21:42Speaker 2: You know what I mean it takes a brave soul
- 21:45Speaker 2: because I've done it at lightning games where I'm like
- 21:46Speaker 2: alright let's.
- 21:48Speaker 1: Go books and then everyone's like what are you doing.
- 21:50Speaker 2: Yeah and everyone's like stop like we don't want to
- 21:52Speaker 2: do that right now I'm like well.
- 21:53Speaker 1: I feel like an idiot it is funny though because
- 21:55Speaker 1: they have such a hype.
- 21:56Speaker 4: Video in the beginning they'll be like thunder.
- 21:58Speaker 1: Or whatever And then the second they start playing, it's
- 22:01Speaker 1: like that TikTok sound where it's like the sneaker squeaking
- 22:04Speaker 1: where it's like, it's like so eerily quiet.
- 22:08Speaker 4: You get so hyped and then you're just like, okay.
- 22:10Speaker 3: And game's going.
- 22:11Speaker 4: Game's going.
- 22:13Speaker 3: All over the ice.
- 22:14Speaker 4: That's literally what it sounds like.
- 22:15Speaker 3: That's so true.
- 22:16Speaker 1: But you never talked about why you felt weird about
- 22:18Speaker 1: your birthday. You just kind of like glazed over that.
- 22:19Speaker 1: Is it like an aging thing?
- 22:21Speaker 2: No, I got really emotional thinking just about like, really
- 22:24Speaker 2: what it was reminding me is how we're getting older.
- 22:26Speaker 3: And I thought about my dad. I was like, dang.
- 22:28Speaker 2: My dad now has kids that are in his 30s.
- 22:30Speaker 2: And it kind of made me realize, like, he's getting older. Like,
- 22:34Speaker 2: he's now about to be 65. Like, I want to
- 22:38Speaker 2: make sure to cherish everything I have in these years
- 22:41Speaker 2: to come. Because, goodness gracious, I mean, I'm so fortunate
- 22:45Speaker 2: to be able to have a parent as I'm in
- 22:46Speaker 2: my 30s. And I just hope, and I always keep
- 22:50Speaker 2: that close to my chest of, I hope I don't
- 22:52Speaker 2: look past that. You know, where it's like, you make
- 22:53Speaker 2: the time to go on holidays. You make the time.
- 22:55Speaker 2: To plan the trips. That's kind of what I started
- 22:57Speaker 2: thinking about. I was just laying in bed. I was like,
- 22:59Speaker 2: I want us all to take a trip again. Because
- 23:01Speaker 2: those moments, they happen fewer and farther in between. So
- 23:05Speaker 2: my brother, my dad, and I, I'm like, when's the
- 23:07Speaker 2: last time we all just did something? As the boys,
- 23:11Speaker 2: as a family.
- 23:12Speaker 1: It's been a while.
- 23:13Speaker 3: It's been years. And you get to this age, you're like,
- 23:17Speaker 3: I don't want to waste years. We don't know how
- 23:19Speaker 3: many we get.
- 23:20Speaker 2: So I was like, damn it, it's on me. So
- 23:22Speaker 2: I got a little emotional about that. And then after that,
- 23:25Speaker 2: I kind of got excited because I am excited about
- 23:26Speaker 2: the 30s.
- 23:27Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 23:28Speaker 2: For the most part, I think it's probably going to
- 23:29Speaker 2: be my best decade so far. It's already off to
- 23:31Speaker 2: a great start. I'm 24 hours in.
- 23:32Speaker 3: I feel fantastic. No complaints.
- 23:35Speaker 1: Yeah, you haven't broken down yet. You haven't like torn
- 23:37Speaker 1: an ACL, thrown at your back.
- 23:40Speaker 2: I mean, I feel like I'm going to wake up
- 23:41Speaker 2: with like a crick in my neck, but that's what
- 23:42Speaker 2: happened in my 20s anyway. Yeah.
- 23:44Speaker 4: I can't picture my 30s for some reason.
- 23:46Speaker 3: It's coming. I'm just joking.
- 23:47Speaker 1: It's actually exciting.
- 23:48Speaker 4: I don't mean that like a morbid way. Like I
- 23:50Speaker 4: think I'm going to like die young.
- 23:52Speaker 1: But I think because for so long you kind of
- 23:54Speaker 1: assume your 30s are like they're going to look a
- 23:57Speaker 1: certain way. And then when they don't look a certain way,
- 23:58Speaker 1: I'm just kind of like I actually don't know what
- 24:00Speaker 1: the fuck I'm going to do for the next 10 years.
- 24:01Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 24:01Speaker 3: Well, I used to. This is so weird.
- 24:04Speaker 2: But in my 20s, I had this belief that I
- 24:06Speaker 2: had to work through that I was too young to
- 24:08Speaker 2: do things.
- 24:09Speaker 3: So in my head, I said, well, I got to wait.
- 24:11Speaker 3: Wait until I'm older. Now I'm there. Now I'm like, okay, well,
- 24:14Speaker 3: what's your excuse going to be? Like, you're here.
- 24:16Speaker 2: You said this when you were 26 that you couldn't
- 24:18Speaker 2: do it then. You had to wait until this.
- 24:20Speaker 3: So now you're here. Now you have no other option.
- 24:21Speaker 2: Because for me, what I feel like, I'm like, okay,
- 24:25Speaker 2: anybody that's in their 30s or older, you're going to
- 24:26Speaker 2: be like, Scott, shut up.
- 24:27Speaker 3: I get that.
- 24:28Speaker 2: But in my head, I'm like, all right, now's the
- 24:30Speaker 2: time to get your shit together. To have, you know,
- 24:35Speaker 2: be financially secure. Have the plans secured.
- 24:38Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 24:39Speaker 2: Get a house, have a family, get married. I'm like,
- 24:42Speaker 2: that's a lot to do in one decade.
- 24:44Speaker 1: OK, we got 10 years to do it. I mean,
- 24:46Speaker 1: think about who you were at 20. Think about who
- 24:49Speaker 1: you were at 25. I was doing this yesterday because
- 24:51Speaker 1: I was just going through my tech talk, trying to
- 24:53Speaker 1: find like inspiration for creativity.
- 24:55Speaker 4: And I posted this on my Instagram yesterday.
- 24:57Speaker 1: I turned on one of my videos and I was like,
- 25:01Speaker 1: I actually don't recognize that person. Physically, I don't.
- 25:04Speaker 4: Recognize that person, but also I'm just so different than
- 25:07Speaker 4: I was at 25.
- 25:07Speaker 1: From 25 to 30, I feel like I changed.
- 25:11Speaker 4: I'm not 30 yet.
- 25:12Speaker 1: 25 to 29, I feel like I'm a completely different human.
- 25:16Speaker 2: Yeah, I want to talk about that video, though, because
- 25:18Speaker 2: you did post that up on your story earlier, too.
- 25:21Speaker 2: And I thought that was such an eye-opener because it
- 25:23Speaker 2: was a reminder for me. It's like there's so much
- 25:24Speaker 2: time that happened in just five years. Not just literally
- 25:28Speaker 2: time by five years, but so many changes. And I
- 25:31Speaker 2: think that's why I was talking about it last week
- 25:32Speaker 2: where I'm like, just year 30 alone. Because if I
- 25:36Speaker 2: could just go off a year 29, my life changed drastically.
- 25:40Speaker 4: I mean, what were you doing this time last year?
- 25:42Speaker 2: I was in a weird position in a relationship. I
- 25:45Speaker 2: was trying to figure out what I was going to
- 25:47Speaker 2: do with my career. You weren't even here yet in
- 25:49Speaker 2: the studio.
- 25:49Speaker 1: I know.
- 25:50Speaker 4: This time last year, I don't even think I had
- 25:51Speaker 4: flown out to Tampa.
- 25:53Speaker 3: I don't think so either.
- 25:53Speaker 2: Because I remember going to dinner on my birthday and just,
- 25:57Speaker 2: I was just very hard on myself of just, what
- 25:59Speaker 2: the heck are you doing? You have all these dreams.
- 26:02Speaker 2: You have all these desires. You have this vision for
- 26:04Speaker 2: what life should be. Why aren't you doing it? And
- 26:07Speaker 2: I'd have friends that would question me because they knew
- 26:09Speaker 2: I wasn't happy in certain situations. And I just remember
- 26:12Speaker 2: feeling like I'm going to figure it out. I don't
- 26:16Speaker 2: necessarily know how yet.
- 26:18Speaker 3: I just know I will.
- 26:19Speaker 2: And then within a year, so much have changed that
- 26:23Speaker 2: I feel like I've evolved in my friendships. I've literally
- 26:27Speaker 2: changed where I live like three times. I'm in a
- 26:30Speaker 2: great living environment now. And I'm in the happiest point
- 26:34Speaker 2: in my relationship that I've ever been. And I'm like,
- 26:36Speaker 2: that all happened within a year. That's kind of mind blowing.
- 26:39Speaker 1: It is crazy.
- 26:40Speaker 4: Like your life completely shifted in one year.
- 26:43Speaker 2: One year ago, I was, I wasn't open about this
- 26:46Speaker 2: online because it's just, it was a weird thing to
- 26:47Speaker 2: be open about, but I was just, I felt so
- 26:49Speaker 2: confused and I was in a weird dark space and
- 26:51Speaker 2: I was like, what the hell is happening? And then
- 26:54Speaker 2: to look back a year later and be like, I think, yeah,
- 26:56Speaker 2: I'm the happiest I've ever been. Where all pillars have
- 26:59Speaker 2: kind of lined up where I needed them.
- 27:01Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 27:01Speaker 2: You know, like I say this, I don't know if
- 27:03Speaker 2: I've said this on the podcast, but I've said it
- 27:04Speaker 2: to certain friends. It's like, you know, you picture your
- 27:06Speaker 2: dream life and I'm living my dream life. Yeah. You know,
- 27:09Speaker 2: it's yeah, there's things I still want. I desire that
- 27:11Speaker 2: I'm working towards and goals. But 25 year old Scott,
- 27:16Speaker 2: this is what he was going for. And now I'm damn,
- 27:20Speaker 2: that's crazy to see. Because it literally all happened within
- 27:22Speaker 2: a year.
- 27:23Speaker 1: But it's also a reminder that life is one big, long,
- 27:25Speaker 1: 100-mile marathon. And there are some miles where it's like, oh,
- 27:29Speaker 1: my God, I feel like I'm literally going to pass
- 27:30Speaker 1: out and die on the side of the road. But, like,
- 27:32Speaker 1: mile 30 might be your strongest mile yet, but you
- 27:36Speaker 1: just had to get through mile 29.
- 27:38Speaker 3: That's such an important thing to say because it's true.
- 27:39Speaker 2: Like, I learned at mile 25 and mile 26, and
- 27:43Speaker 2: all those lessons are helping me now in mile 30.
- 27:46Speaker 3: And I'm taking that with me as I'm going forward.
- 27:48Speaker 2: So I was a little emotional as I got older,
- 27:50Speaker 2: but that was mainly because it just time is going
- 27:52Speaker 2: so quick and you want to get the most out
- 27:54Speaker 2: of it.
- 27:54Speaker 3: And there's so many people that are so important to you.
- 27:57Speaker 2: And I think what truthfully what scares me is, you know,
- 28:00Speaker 2: not that the other shoe will drop, but you just
- 28:02Speaker 2: know that there will be things that pop up in
- 28:04Speaker 2: this next year, this next couple of years. Yeah. That
- 28:07Speaker 2: are just they're going to take such a toll and
- 28:08Speaker 2: it's going to be so heartbreaking. That's kind of what
- 28:10Speaker 2: scares me about being at this happy point in my life.
- 28:12Speaker 2: I'm like, I feel so good. Please, everyone just keep
- 28:15Speaker 2: their shit together. Everyone stay healthy.
- 28:16Speaker 3: Stay alive.
- 28:17Speaker 2: I need you here because I'm like, damn it. Things
- 28:19Speaker 2: are going really well. Just let me ride this for
- 28:20Speaker 2: a while.
- 28:21Speaker 4: We know it's temporary.
- 28:22Speaker 1: For real.
- 28:22Speaker 3: Like, it's truly a thought.
- 28:24Speaker 2: And I know I'm not the only one that's had that. Like,
- 28:26Speaker 2: we've all had that thought of like, all right, where's
- 28:27Speaker 2: the other shoe? That's how I've been.
- 28:29Speaker 3: Kind of lately where I'm like, everybody good? Nobody's like,
- 28:32Speaker 3: all right, cool. Everyone stay your places. It's just crazy.
- 28:36Speaker 2: Like, I have friends that now are doing better with
- 28:38Speaker 2: their careers, that are doing better in their relationships, that
- 28:41Speaker 2: have their stuff together. And I love to see that too.
- 28:43Speaker 2: Because I'm like, okay, glad you're not in the down
- 28:46Speaker 2: spot where you were.
- 28:47Speaker 3: Awesome. Like, we're all rising together. Thank God.
- 28:50Speaker 2: Because it wasn't always like that, especially over the past,
- 28:53Speaker 2: I don't know, let's just go past five years.
- 28:55Speaker 3: It's been a hell of a wave.
- 28:56Speaker 1: 25, man.
- 28:57Speaker 4: If you're 25 now, it's going to get better.
- 28:59Speaker 3: Let's talk about that video, though.
- 29:00Speaker 1: We got to go, though, because I have the Q
- 29:02Speaker 1: & A in the content section. We can talk about
- 29:04Speaker 1: my ugly ass video tomorrow, though.
- 29:05Speaker 2: Okay. Let's get into that tomorrow, then, because that's an
- 29:08Speaker 2: important video. If you haven't seen it yet, it's up
- 29:10Speaker 2: on Abby's Instagram. We'll be back tomorrow.
- 29:12Speaker 3: Thanks, fam.
