  Speaker 1: to pick up wherever they are and there's no commercials. Right.

  Speaker 1: and Beyonce, I like it. I think it's I think

  Speaker 1: it's an interesting idea. I would love to see the

  Speaker 1: numbers of that, how that's rock and vine, the scenes

  Speaker 1: think it's positive, Like people are alike making this show.

  Speaker 1: There are some naysayers. I feel like there are some

  Speaker 1: Hallmark traditionalists who are like, Nope, I'm not giving my

  Speaker 1: time to reality TV. And I want to know what

  Speaker 1: your thoughts, what have you seen, what's your opinion on it? Well,

  Speaker 1: I think I've created my own personal little echo chamber

  Speaker 1: for myself because I'm not really seeing any of the naysayers,

  Speaker 1: and also I'm not engaging with that content. I think

  Speaker 1: there are some people who have a and I am
• 5:26
  Speaker 1: certain I can be this way about certain things, but

  Speaker 1: you have a block in your mind where you're like,

  Speaker 1: that's not for me, and I've decided it's not for me,

  Speaker 1: and I'm not even gonna work. I'm not even gonna

  Speaker 1: go there. You are talking to a former Hallmark hater.

  Speaker 1: I understand that. Yeah, right, five years ago, you would
• 5:40
  Speaker 1: have had that same block. You would have never just
• 5:42
  Speaker 1: turned on a Hallmark Christmas movie right for fun? I
• 5:49
  Speaker 1: like reality television, so it's not a huge jump for me,
• 5:55
  Speaker 1: but this is not really Yes it's reality, Yes it's
• 5:59
  Speaker 1: unscript Yes it falls into that bucket. Yes it hits

  Speaker 1: some of my favorite notes of reality television. You know,
• 6:07
  Speaker 1: you get to get behind someone and root for them.
• 6:09
  Speaker 1: You get into the backstories of these people and who
• 6:11
  Speaker 1: they really are. But it doesn't have the salaciousness of
• 6:16
  Speaker 1: reality television, the infighting, the viral table flipping moments, the
• 6:23
  Speaker 1: let's pick a conflict and ride it out for eighteen episodes.

  Speaker 1: It doesn't have that. It's just joy filled And I
• 6:32
  Speaker 1: feel like I would just encourage anybody who's a listener
• 6:35
  Speaker 1: of this podcast and listening to this episode and not
• 6:38
  Speaker 1: watching find nay mister Christmas, because you think you don't
• 6:40
  Speaker 1: like reality, maybe give it an episode or two, because

  Speaker 1: I think if you like Hallmark, this hits those Hallmark notes. Yeah,

  Speaker 1: television moment of the guys chatting amongst themselves in the

  Speaker 1: kitchen in the living room pre challenge. Right, this is

  Speaker 1: where we get to we're starting to now open like

  Speaker 1: the can a little bit and getting to know more
• 7:28
  Speaker 1: about our contestants. Drake's talking about how supportive his family
• 7:33
  Speaker 1: is with this pursuit of acting. Marcus says that his
• 7:39
  Speaker 1: girlfriend has pushed him the hardest, and then Robbie shares
• 7:43
  Speaker 1: at his boyfriend of two years understands how much Robbie
• 7:46
  Speaker 1: wants to be an actor. And then we get into
• 7:48
  Speaker 1: this talking head interview with Robbie and I thought he
• 7:53
  Speaker 1: was so vulnerable in this moment here where he was like,
• 7:56
  Speaker 1: I'm worried about letting people down and I'm nervous about
• 7:58
  Speaker 1: letting myself down. I was like, this was super relatable,
• 8:03
  Speaker 1: and I really appreciated that he shared this human emotion.

  Speaker 1: It just connected to it. I thought it was great.

  Speaker 1: You know, I'm team Robbie. I really loved this moment.

  Speaker 1: I love that we're getting to know him a little
• 8:19
  Speaker 1: bit better. The rest of the guys are in the
• 8:21
  Speaker 1: living room. Yeah, and they're congratulating rest In on his win,
• 8:26
  Speaker 1: and Rustin gets a little choked up talking about like
• 8:28
  Speaker 1: that he's proud of himself. Yeah, going through that moment again,
• 8:31
  Speaker 1: Like I was impressed that these guys are letting themselves
• 8:37
  Speaker 1: get there like that, Like they're sharing their true selves
• 8:39
  Speaker 1: with the other guys who are their competition essentially. Yeah, yes, Angel,
• 8:46
  Speaker 1: go ahead. We see the softer side of Angel, who
• 8:49
  Speaker 1: we originally saw on that Santa Challenge where he talks
• 8:51
  Speaker 1: about like I'm here for anybody who's felt bellied. Oh yeah, yeah,

  Speaker 1: he talks. He compliments rest In about, you know, being
• 8:57
  Speaker 1: vulnerable and expressing his emotions. I feel like Angel what
• 9:03
  Speaker 1: we've we've only seen two episodes of him, but he
• 9:05
  Speaker 1: seems to be he seems to be willing to get
• 9:08
  Speaker 1: in touch with that part of himself to feel those emotions.
• 9:11
  Speaker 1: He's very expressive of them. I would like, you said
• 9:15
  Speaker 1: in last episode, to know more about Angel and his
• 9:17
  Speaker 1: motivation and his experiences that have led him to be
• 9:20
  Speaker 1: that way. But I feel like he is absolutely a
• 9:23
  Speaker 1: hard on his sleeve kind of dude. H Davy talks
• 9:26
  Speaker 1: a little bit about Rustin, and he talks about how Russin,
• 9:29
  Speaker 1: in addition to being there as an actor, he also
• 9:32
  Speaker 1: has that like musician, performer artistic vibe. Yeah, and maybe
• 9:37
  Speaker 1: that puts Rustin on a little bit of a different
• 9:39
  Speaker 1: playing field than the other guys. Yeah. So to me,
• 9:43
  Speaker 1: I was like, oh, Davey definitely sees Rustin as a
• 9:47
  Speaker 1: threat for what Rustin can bring to the table. You know,
• 9:51
  Speaker 1: that's an interesting take because if I'm just a I
• 9:56
  Speaker 1: don't say, if I'm just a good actor, what else
• 9:59
  Speaker 1: can I bring to the table that elevates me to
• 10:03
  Speaker 1: getting the job right? So we have Davy who's a
• 10:06
  Speaker 1: very successful model. I can't remember if Davy has acting
• 10:11
  Speaker 1: experience or not. Do you remember? I don't know, but
• 10:15
  Speaker 1: it doesn't make sense, Like I wonder if Davy is
• 10:18
  Speaker 1: looking internally like what else can I bring to the table? Well,
• 10:22
  Speaker 1: and if it's me, I'm like, Okay, Rustin has his
• 10:24
  Speaker 1: musician thing, I'm immediately going to get locked in. I'm like,
• 10:27
  Speaker 1: I can't have that. That's you can't just become a musician.

  Speaker 1: You can't just find that artistic talent within you. So
• 10:32
  Speaker 1: then I would start spinning out about like, well, I'm
• 10:34
  Speaker 1: never going to be rust and you're never going to
• 10:36
  Speaker 1: be Jello. It's that moment rather than being like, we
• 10:40
  Speaker 1: all have something that is unique. Right, we can't cast

  Speaker 1: rust In in every movie, right, Tyler Hyes, bad Boys, it's
• 10:46
  Speaker 1: not the fit for every movie. So right, what is
• 10:50
  Speaker 1: Davy's thing? Yeah? I would totally get in my head.

  Speaker 1: It would one hundred percent get in my head. I think.

  Speaker 1: I think that first challenge, in seeing how unique the

  Speaker 1: guys were and seeing you know what landed the Santini

  Speaker 1: and Rustin's acting, I think that maybe I'd be like, oh,

  Speaker 1: it doesn't matter how talented I am. Yeah, gotta, I gotta,

  Speaker 1: I gotta figure something out here, And especially for someone

  Speaker 1: like Davy, who is so incredibly gorgeous, like I bet

  Speaker 1: that's been his thing forever, right, Like he's the prettiest

  Speaker 1: man in most rooms. Yeah, exactly. So then now when

  Speaker 1: you're competing with other people for a job, but everybody

  Speaker 1: else brings something unique, yeah, now that you're not used

  Speaker 1: a kid. I got this. I was like, oh boy,

  Speaker 1: used to like pull legs off of Ladybugs. So what

  Speaker 1: on my mom's rolltop desk in the living room. This

  Speaker 1: is when your parents would say, go outside and play

  Speaker 1: and this is what you really come up with. The

  Speaker 1: only computer game we had was Where in the World

  Speaker 1: is Carmen's Sandy? It that game? That was a great game.

  Speaker 1: It was so fun. Let's talk about the teams for

  Speaker 1: this festive face of hmm. We have three teams of three. Craig,

  Speaker 1: Gaguan and Robbie are the Blue team. Drake, Marcus and

  Speaker 1: Rustin are the Red team. Logan, Angel and Davy are

  Speaker 1: the Green team. Right, and did we even talk? We

  Speaker 1: did talk about like what they were supposed to do.

  Speaker 1: They need to like slingshot these wrapped gifts and they
• 14:07
  Speaker 1: need to land in the mule Hall sleigh and whoever
• 14:13
  Speaker 1: has the most wins right an unnamed reward for the
• 14:19
  Speaker 1: stark quality. It's like every Festus face off, like you
• 14:22
  Speaker 1: there's some advantage to be gained. So we see this
• 14:25
  Speaker 1: talking head of Drake and he's like, oh, I want
• 14:27
  Speaker 1: to be the sling shotter, like I can do it,
• 14:31
  Speaker 1: and he kind of gets run over by Rustin. Yeahsin,
• 14:37
  Speaker 1: Restin really killed Drake's dreams here, right, He's like, I'm
• 14:40
  Speaker 1: going to be the leads and just Drake just steps back.
• 14:44
  Speaker 1: He's I hidden, this is Golden Retriever and to be like, okay,

  Speaker 1: go ahead. I mean I can see because like, again,
• 14:52
  Speaker 1: I don't know how old Drake is, but he does
• 14:55
  Speaker 1: seem a lot younger than these other guys. And wouldn't

  Speaker 1: you kind of just be like a little bit intimidated
• 15:05
  Speaker 1: that on that alone. I just think that's his vibe too,

  Speaker 1: Like he's so sweet and so like eager to please.

  Speaker 1: He doesn't seem like a dominant personality. Yeah, I mean, like,
• 15:16
  Speaker 1: if Drake is a Golden Retriever, what is Rustin? A

  Speaker 1: Belgian Malinois police dog? Okay, I don't know what kind

  Speaker 1: of dog that is, but looks like a German shepherd,
• 15:26
  Speaker 1: you know how I feel about German shepherds. Then we
• 15:29
  Speaker 1: have Angel, Davy, and Logan and they're all huddle up
• 15:34
  Speaker 1: making a game plan, and Logan proposes since Davy is
• 15:40
  Speaker 1: tall and he and Angel are the same heights, like
• 15:43
  Speaker 1: he thinks like it's kind of like a triangle situation,
• 15:45
  Speaker 1: like Davy will be the muscle behind the shot situation.

  Speaker 1: And he just goes on and on, and I'm like,
• 15:53
  Speaker 1: is he talking about math and physics here? I'm zoning out? Yeah,

  Speaker 1: I mean I was like, just get to the just
• 15:59
  Speaker 1: get to it, just start sling shotting. Yeah. Craig, Gabriel

  Speaker 1: and Robbie talk and Gabriels he's like, we need stability,

  Speaker 1: we need consistency. And Robbie Robbie in his interviews like

  Speaker 1: I kind of like crafting competitions a little bit more,

  Speaker 1: Phil you, Robbie me to. Robbie, me too, And He's

  Speaker 1: kind of like, whatever you guys want, Like he feels

  Speaker 1: like this is in my lane. I'll just go to

  Speaker 1: I'm just going to be a follower. So the guys

  Speaker 1: get started and it's like fail after fail, They're falling short.

  Speaker 1: They're not even getting close. All these big muscular dudes

  Speaker 1: cannot execute the plan. I have to wonder as I'm

  Speaker 1: watching this because it is like a failure to launch

  Speaker 1: they test this game before? Well, you know, Jonathan says

  Speaker 1: that James is out there testing most of the games. Yeah,

  Speaker 1: I know, so what Jane, have you seen James? James

  Speaker 1: is a solid block of muscle. So James is like,

  Speaker 1: I'm gonna do it one handed, y'all, I'll hold both

  Speaker 1: sides of the sling shot blind fand he like, come on,

  Speaker 1: you know who would have done good at this game? Jake?

  Speaker 1: My favorite is like Rustin goes first and Russen is like,

  Speaker 1: you know, everyone thinks he's the biggest threat, and Melissa's like,

  Speaker 1: well that was just the worst thing show. I love

  Speaker 1: that she just like kind of put him in his
• 17:25
  Speaker 1: place a little bit. They all kind of like freak
• 17:28
  Speaker 1: out and they're like changing, who's gonna do the sling shotting,

  Speaker 1: Gabriel takes a miss, Angel takes a turn. Logan's like

  Speaker 1: it's the wind. Yeah, my notes say sure, Jan, but

  Speaker 1: I was watching. There was a lot of hair blown.

  Speaker 1: It was windy, but I don't think there's no way

  Speaker 1: the wind could have been preventing they were They weren't
