- 0:17Speaker 2: Fox Sports Radio.
- 0:20Speaker 1: It is day twenty two of the Lebron James Watch.
- 0:24Speaker 1: I am concerned about the crew here.
- 0:26Speaker 3: I have to be honest. I mean us, they're Lebron's
- 0:29Speaker 3: crew both, but our crew.
- 0:32Speaker 1: For the sake of this discussion, we'll get to Lebron
- 0:34Speaker 1: and what happened with the heat last night. In just
- 0:37Speaker 1: a second, I'm greeted by Israel Goudyeiras today. He says
- 0:43Speaker 1: to me, and this is a terrible way to start
- 0:45Speaker 1: a conversation, Stu. The parasites are thriving.
- 0:51Speaker 3: That's how I agree with you. Yeah, yeah, man, I
- 0:55Speaker 3: think this is happening to a lot of people around
- 0:57Speaker 3: the world, or the parasite or whatever. Yeah, because you
- 1:00Speaker 3: know there's the joke that you see on you know,
- 1:03Speaker 3: online everywhere. It's like, if I had the parasite, how
- 1:06Speaker 3: would I even know? Because that's how they live every day, right, Yeah,
- 1:10Speaker 3: that is not me. Right, I'm somebody who you know,
- 1:13Speaker 3: my own phrasing as I like to say, I have
- 1:15Speaker 3: a steel stomach, like I don't have issues like that. Yes,
- 1:18Speaker 3: but things have been a little wonky over the past
- 1:20Speaker 3: couple of weeks, I know, and it makes me feel like, yeah,
- 1:23Speaker 3: I'm definitely suffering from whatever this parasite is. And yeah,
- 1:28Speaker 3: I've read where it could last four to six weeks,
- 1:30Speaker 3: and I'm just like, well, I'm just hanging in there
- 1:32Speaker 3: waiting for the time day. Is it contagious. No, it's
- 1:35Speaker 3: something you got to eat, all right, lettuce in particular. Right, No,
- 1:39Speaker 3: that's a it's a very h it's a story that
- 1:42Speaker 3: is evolving. So just to be safe, I'm not eating salad.
- 1:46Speaker 3: I mean, just so you're not gonna have your first sound.
- 1:50Speaker 1: Well, I don't know if you've noticed, but I come
- 1:51Speaker 1: in with one every single day.
- 1:53Speaker 3: In the last week.
- 1:54Speaker 4: I haven't.
- 1:54Speaker 3: I haven't come in with one. I'll go ahead, Mikeye.
- 1:58Speaker 5: It's just how I live my life.
- 2:02Speaker 4: Just trying to get from salad to salad.
- 2:04Speaker 3: That's it. Yeah, there's definitely a sponsorship of possibility here
- 2:08Speaker 3: with you. Because you don't show up with salads every day.
- 2:10Speaker 3: You do show up with Jersey Mikes a lot?
- 2:12Speaker 1: Yes, And Jersey Mike spends a lot of money, so
- 2:14Speaker 1: let's go sales, get on it.
- 2:17Speaker 3: I love some Jersey Mikes.
- 2:18Speaker 1: So you would think to yourself, well, how does it
- 2:20Speaker 1: get worse than that being greeted by your friend and
- 2:25Speaker 1: him saying to you, my parasites are thriving. Well, then
- 2:28Speaker 1: I see my other friend, the executive producer of the show,
- 2:31Speaker 1: and it does get worse because he starts telling me
- 2:34Speaker 1: about a topic that wfan is running with today. Taylor
- 2:39Speaker 1: explained the topic, and Taylor loved it. He thought it
- 2:42Speaker 1: was a great topic. It's July.
- 2:43Speaker 4: Why not go ahead?
- 2:45Speaker 6: There's one word where if anybody across the United States
- 2:48Speaker 6: utters it, it sends like a bat signal to me. Yeah,
- 2:52Speaker 6: and the word is legacy. And the topic on wfan
- 2:56Speaker 6: was if the Yankees somehow win a World Series this year,
- 3:00Speaker 6: Aaron Judge never comes back, how does it affect Aaron
- 3:03Speaker 6: Judge's legacy?
- 3:04Speaker 3: Right, I will question it. Yeah, it is a great question.
- 3:07Speaker 3: It's called July. We are deep in it.
- 3:11Speaker 4: Twenty second day of lebron Watch go ahead, Tail.
- 3:14Speaker 6: I'm also a bit distracted because I'm looking at Inner
- 3:16Speaker 6: Miami tickets tonight for something to do on a nice
- 3:19Speaker 6: Wednesday night. It's eight dollars to get into the stadium
- 3:22Speaker 6: and then it's twenty dollars to play in Inner Miami's
- 3:25Speaker 6: midfield to replace the lead message.
- 3:28Speaker 3: That's it, Huh.
- 3:28Speaker 6: I think I might spring for the VIP treat in there.
- 3:32Speaker 3: At some other Intern Miami news that has me very excited.
- 3:36Speaker 3: They apparently signed a Brazilian midfielder named Castamido, who is
- 3:41Speaker 3: amazing and he has won multiple champions leagues. And if
- 3:47Speaker 3: you say so, the reason you know you're cheering for
- 3:50Speaker 3: the right team is after they sign somebody, another team
- 3:53Speaker 3: accuses them of tampering. Right, and so LAFC I believe
- 3:57Speaker 3: accused Inter Miami of tampering after this signing. So does
- 3:59Speaker 3: a big quies Mark. But as long as they don't
- 4:01Speaker 3: take him away from my team. Wow, what a team, Intermami.
- 4:05Speaker 3: But how do you feel about the Judge legacy topic?
- 4:07Speaker 3: I don't care. Do you have an opinion there didn't
- 4:09Speaker 3: even though he was hurt. To be honest, first.
- 4:11Speaker 1: Off, I would tell WFA and great topic, July, I
- 4:13Speaker 1: understand why you're doing it. The Yankees are not getting
- 4:16Speaker 1: to a World Series. If Eric Judge doesn't come back,
- 4:18Speaker 1: I don't know. The American thinks, yeah, well.
- 4:21Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 4:22Speaker 4: The Red Sox are about to win their fifteenth straights.
- 4:25Speaker 6: Is he right now? I'm at the point where Tarek
- 4:27Speaker 6: Scuball is being reported as being shot by the Detroit Tigers.
- 4:32Speaker 6: Jeff Passon actually says he believes it's more likely that
- 4:35Speaker 6: Schooble gets traded than he doesn't get traded. But also,
- 4:39Speaker 6: I'm at the point where the Yankees where it's like,
- 4:41Speaker 6: I just need the Yankees to trade for him, just
- 4:43Speaker 6: so he doesn't go to the Dodgers.
- 4:45Speaker 3: The Dodgers are just gonna get everybody. But like Milwaukee
- 4:47Speaker 3: seems to be better than that, not better, but just
- 4:49Speaker 3: as good as the Dodgers. There is at least some
- 4:51Speaker 3: competition over there.
- 4:51Speaker 1: I mean, I've seen this. I've seen this movie before
- 4:54Speaker 1: with Milwaukee, I have that didn't come out the way
- 4:57Speaker 1: I wanted it to come out. You could play that
- 4:59Speaker 1: back if you you don't mind to the next segment
- 5:01Speaker 1: make fun of me. But I've seen this script before.
- 5:03Speaker 1: Is he great regular season peter out in the postseason.
- 5:06Speaker 1: That's what they do, That's what the Brewers do. Let's
- 5:09Speaker 1: get to the Heat here though, because it was amazing
- 5:11Speaker 1: last night and it continues to be amazing to me
- 5:14Speaker 1: that we are following and hanging on every single move
- 5:18Speaker 1: made by Lebron James and his team.
- 5:21Speaker 3: But last night, the Heat's social media.
- 5:24Speaker 1: Team, they released a link to a YouTube, a YouTube
- 5:29Speaker 1: link on the YouTube page for an introductory press conference
- 5:33Speaker 1: for Lebron James coming up this Monday.
- 5:36Speaker 3: Now they took it down. They said it was a mistake.
- 5:38Speaker 1: I don't know the inner workings of the Heat organization
- 5:42Speaker 1: nearly as well as you do, is he, but I
- 5:43Speaker 1: do know them, and it was surprising for me that
- 5:47Speaker 1: that happened. Only from this standpoint, This organization, from Mickey
- 5:52Speaker 1: on Down Mickey Harrison the owner to pat Riley on
- 5:55Speaker 1: Down is as buttoned up an organization as I've ever
- 5:59Speaker 1: seen scene and so for a mistake like that to
- 6:03Speaker 1: happen around such a big story to me seems ridiculous,
- 6:08Speaker 1: Like how does that mistake happen?
- 6:09Speaker 4: And how does someone allow that mistake to happen?
- 6:12Speaker 3: It's hilarious. It is something where you know they're they're
- 6:15Speaker 3: preparing for things. You have to do those types of things,
- 6:18Speaker 3: and somebody just screwed up. Somebody messed up and it
- 6:22Speaker 3: The funny thing to me is not that it happened, right,
- 6:25Speaker 3: it's that we believe that a decision is going to
- 6:28Speaker 3: be made as a result of that slip up. Like
- 6:32Speaker 3: we've got Lebron James. Let's just say hypothetically, it's true,
- 6:35Speaker 3: right that he's decided he's coming to Miami. The only
- 6:37Speaker 3: people don't know his family they have they're all packed up,
- 6:40Speaker 3: they're ready to go back home or go back to
- 6:42Speaker 3: whatever home they were in. And then he sees that
- 6:46Speaker 3: and then he's like, you know what, they're not buttoned
- 6:49Speaker 3: up anymore. Over there, we're gonna shape now. All of
- 6:52Speaker 3: a sudden, Joel mbi and Jaylen Brown look like a
- 6:54Speaker 3: good pairing for me. But suddenly it's so ridiculous to.
- 7:00Speaker 5: House Philly's YouTube department.
- 7:02Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, as if Lebron would call them up
- 7:06Speaker 3: pat Riley directly and say fire that man immediately or
- 7:09Speaker 3: woman immediately for making that mistake. And it's just it's laughable.
- 7:13Speaker 3: Do we think that they like let the cat out
- 7:17Speaker 3: of the bag. Do we really think that that's the
- 7:19Speaker 3: case If they thought they had them had him don't
- 7:22Speaker 3: you think they would do everything possible. Don't you think
- 7:24Speaker 3: that pat Riley himself would would monitor the YouTube guy
- 7:27Speaker 3: say hey, don't.
- 7:28Speaker 6: Screw this up.
- 7:29Speaker 1: Yeah, it seems ridiculou h. Taylor's been shaking his head.
- 7:32Speaker 1: No the entire time, say with Mikey, go ahead, Taylor
- 7:34Speaker 1: is he?
- 7:34Speaker 6: I am on the complete opposite side because the Heat.
- 7:38Speaker 6: There is no way the Heat did this by accident.
- 7:41Speaker 6: There's been too much smoke around the Lebron is coming
- 7:44Speaker 6: to Miami market where if you believe they did this
- 7:47Speaker 6: by accident, I've got some motion from property in Nebraska
- 7:50Speaker 6: I'd like to sell.
- 7:51Speaker 3: I believe they did this in the hopes that they're
- 7:55Speaker 3: reading the tea leaves just like everybody else. They're on
- 7:58Speaker 3: Calshie every day saying, wow, they're pretty good. Let's maybe
- 8:01Speaker 3: prepare for this. I do. They've gotten the word from Lebron.
- 8:03Speaker 3: They're better today. I can tell you that much. This
- 8:07Speaker 3: is the same as I was seeing something on the
- 8:09Speaker 3: ticker earlier where it said from Kendrick Perkins, which is
- 8:13Speaker 3: exactly where I go from my free agent information. Kendrick
- 8:16Speaker 3: Perkins said that if if the Miami Heat want Lebron
- 8:21Speaker 3: Janni's Santa to Kumpo needs to pick up the phone
- 8:24Speaker 3: and call Lebron and pitch him on it. Are you
- 8:27Speaker 3: kidding me? Like? What in the world? I mean, Giannis
- 8:30Speaker 3: doesn't have to say a word, just ship him his
- 8:32Speaker 3: highlight reel, Like why does he have everybody knows they
- 8:35Speaker 3: want to play with Lebron? Why does Giannis have to
- 8:37Speaker 3: give him a call? As if that's going to be
- 8:38Speaker 3: the tipping point for Lebron.
- 8:40Speaker 1: James, Mikey, you are also shaking your head as is
- 8:43Speaker 1: he was saying what he was saying about the heat.
- 8:45Speaker 1: It's a buttoned up organization. I find it hard to
- 8:48Speaker 1: believe that was a mistake. And if it was a
- 8:49Speaker 1: mistake and it maybe jeopardizes their chances of getting Lebron, James,
- 8:53Speaker 1: whoever did it was fired, I'm guessing.
- 8:56Speaker 3: I mean, keep.
- 8:58Speaker 5: Behind the curtain.
- 8:58Speaker 7: You know, we put out these podcasts every day, and
- 9:01Speaker 7: there's a lot of work that goes in from recording
- 9:03Speaker 7: to actual posting, and there is always a moment before
- 9:07Speaker 7: I click publish on one of our podcasts where I'm going.
- 9:10Speaker 5: Did I get that, did I fix that? Did I
- 9:12Speaker 5: do that?
- 9:13Speaker 7: And I just imagine that somebody just forgot to press
- 9:16Speaker 7: a button for God to make sure that it wasn't
- 9:19Speaker 7: scheduled yet, And I just felt really bad for them, because, yeah,
- 9:23Speaker 7: they are probably fired.
- 9:24Speaker 3: But Mikey, you don't think that they were preparing for
- 9:27Speaker 3: the potential. You only believe that they would do that
- 9:30Speaker 3: if they knew he was coming. I mean, how long
- 9:33Speaker 3: does it take to get a YouTube link up?
- 9:35Speaker 7: Not that I don't know what their plans are this weekend,
- 9:39Speaker 7: they might be Listen, I'm trying to get out of
- 9:40Speaker 7: here early Friday, So if I got to set up
- 9:42Speaker 7: this lebron thing, I want to have everything ready to go.
- 9:45Speaker 7: This way, all I have to do is coming on
- 9:47Speaker 7: Monday and hit go.
- 9:48Speaker 3: Yeah. The part that they did get me is there
- 9:51Speaker 3: was a date on the press converage, right, It was
- 9:53Speaker 3: July twenty seventh, Yes, and that what's that five days
- 9:57Speaker 3: from now?
- 9:57Speaker 4: That feels like Monday, Yeah, Monday.
- 9:59Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 10:00Speaker 3: It feels like, hey, make my decision on Friday, have
- 10:02Speaker 3: this press conference Monday it. But I don't. I just
- 10:06Speaker 3: believe that that's what Maybe they were told that he
- 10:08Speaker 3: will be making a decision right around then, so that
- 10:10Speaker 3: they're figuring. I just think there's so many possibilities as
- 10:13Speaker 3: to why they wouldn't know. And man, let's just say
- 10:17Speaker 3: he goes to Golden State. Let's say he goes to Cleveland.
- 10:19Speaker 3: Then what do you say about this? Right? What do
- 10:21Speaker 3: you say about this? You don't say, Oh, he definitely,
- 10:23Speaker 3: he definitely changed his mind because of that. No, it's
- 10:26Speaker 3: probably oh yeah, somebody just screwed up over there.
- 10:28Speaker 6: There were somebody on Cleveland Sports Radio, Andy Baskin, who
- 10:31Speaker 6: said he was told by a reliable source that last
- 10:34Speaker 6: week Lebron's crew was ready to make an announcement and
- 10:39Speaker 6: then irritated was the word. I was told by the commissioner,
- 10:42Speaker 6: pushing him to make the decision so they could set
- 10:45Speaker 6: the TV schedules. And that kind of lines up with
- 10:48Speaker 6: everybody thinking that Miami is a done deal already, because,
- 10:52Speaker 6: like Stu mentioned, it's been twenty two days now, everybody
- 10:55Speaker 6: has put their pitches in. If Lebron is still this
- 10:58Speaker 6: confused about where he's going, like, it's just not believable at.
- 11:02Speaker 3: This Adam Silver has been on Lebron's side on almost
- 11:04Speaker 3: everything since he took over as commissioner, So I don't
- 11:07Speaker 3: as he should. By the way, I don't know how
- 11:09Speaker 3: much that would tick him off. Do you do you
- 11:11Speaker 3: think it would make him upset if he said, yeah,
- 11:13Speaker 3: we would like this to happen faster. We're trying to
- 11:15Speaker 3: make the schedule, which they do at the same time
- 11:18Speaker 3: every year. Would it tick Lebron off? Yeah?
- 11:21Speaker 1: Yes, I don't think Lebron wants to be rushed into
- 11:23Speaker 1: this decision. Lebron has this stage in the spotlight for
- 11:26Speaker 1: hopefully what will be the final time in his career,
- 11:30Speaker 1: and he wants to enjoy it, and he's milking it.
- 11:32Speaker 3: And I don't mind that, to be honest with you.
- 11:34Speaker 6: And Rich Paul has come out and said he's not
- 11:36Speaker 6: looking for the attention. Okay, Lebron, Well, so.
- 11:38Speaker 3: He's always looking for the attention. Please. Do you remember
- 11:41Speaker 3: back when he went from Miami to Cleveland. I remember
- 11:46Speaker 3: at the time thinking there's no chance he's leaving now, right, yes,
- 11:50Speaker 3: And then I remember hearing something I believe from Ethan
- 11:53Speaker 3: Skolnink that he sort of overheard in a conversation. And
- 11:56Speaker 3: then I remember saying that, oh on, I forget which
- 11:59Speaker 3: websites it was his personal website or whatever, that there
- 12:02Speaker 3: was color schemes that were changed. It was back to Cleveland. Colors,
- 12:05Speaker 3: and everybody was just like, Oh, they wouldn't be that dumb,
- 12:08Speaker 3: would they? And what happened He signed with Cleveland. So
- 12:11Speaker 3: I think Lebron has been you know, has happened before
- 12:15Speaker 3: where some things have leaked out for by accident, and
- 12:17Speaker 3: I think he wants to keep it as private as possible.
- 12:19Speaker 3: I just don't think that the Miami Heat knows and
- 12:22Speaker 3: was ready to do that.
- 12:23Speaker 1: But you've been working inside the NBA as a beat reporter,
- 12:26Speaker 1: as a sideline reporter.
- 12:28Speaker 3: You're very close to the NBA. You're very close to
- 12:30Speaker 3: that organization.
- 12:31Speaker 4: Is it normal if they know a.
- 12:33Speaker 1: Guy is going to sign with them five days in advance?
- 12:36Speaker 1: Is it normal to put a YouTube link on your
- 12:39Speaker 1: YouTube page to be prepared for a potential press conference
- 12:44Speaker 1: on Monday?
- 12:44Speaker 3: That honestly might make a better question for Taylor and
- 12:46Speaker 3: Mikey because I might be close to them, but I
- 12:48Speaker 3: don't know anything about their YouTube dealings.
- 12:50Speaker 1: I mean, it just seems patently absurd. You have professionals
- 12:53Speaker 1: doing these jobs for a living. They know how to
- 12:55Speaker 1: put up.
- 12:55Speaker 8: A YouTube link for sure, if if I'm not mistaken,
- 13:00Speaker 8: isn't the job available, Like, isn't the YouTube for Miami
- 13:04Speaker 8: Heat available, and it was available before this happened. This
- 13:07Speaker 8: could be something as simple as came here, let me
- 13:10Speaker 8: show you how we do it. Let's say you want
- 13:12Speaker 8: them to do all Lebron's gonna be introduced on Friday,
- 13:15Speaker 8: and you would make it like this, and then somebody
- 13:17Speaker 8: accidentally clicked publish.
- 13:20Speaker 6: Mikey, what about this scenario? It is posted already the
- 13:24Speaker 6: director of YouTube strategy for the Miami Heat. Yeah, it's
- 13:27Speaker 6: like the scene in the Dark Night where the Joker's
- 13:30Speaker 6: walking away from the hospital and he presses the button.
- 13:32Speaker 6: This guy was already on his way out and he goes,
- 13:35Speaker 6: you know how I can make some noise on my
- 13:36Speaker 6: way out. Yeah, let's schedule the Lebron James announcement for
- 13:40Speaker 6: YouTube on Monday, because I'm already out of here.
- 13:43Speaker 3: Go out with a flurry.
- 13:44Speaker 6: Yes, now you're going to take your future employment, but
- 13:47Speaker 6: you should.
- 13:48Speaker 4: Have fired me yesterday.
- 13:50Speaker 2: Be sure to catch live editions of Stu Godson Company
- 13:53Speaker 2: Live weekday said three pm Eastern twelve pm Pacific on
- 13:57Speaker 2: Fox Sports Radio and the iHeart Radio.
- 14:00Speaker 3: While for over forty years, tire Rack has been helping
- 14:04Speaker 3: customers find the right tires for how what and where
- 14:07Speaker 3: they drive, shipped fast and free back by free road
- 14:09Speaker 3: hazard protection with convenient installation options like mobile tire installation
- 14:14Speaker 3: tire rack dot Com The way tire buying should be.
- 14:16Speaker 3: Time for our tire Rack play of the day. This
- 14:19Speaker 3: one comes courtesy of AM five seventy, the LA Sports
- 14:22Speaker 3: Dodgers radio network.
- 14:23Speaker 6: Crawford's caught between third and home.
- 14:25Speaker 5: The throat of rushing.
- 14:26Speaker 3: He runs down the line, pumps a throw, gives it
- 14:28Speaker 3: to bets.
- 14:29Speaker 6: Crawford is tag runner between second and third.
- 14:31Speaker 3: Real Muto.
- 14:32Speaker 6: He's caught up the bag. He's out at second and
- 14:35Speaker 6: the ball game is over.
- 14:36Speaker 2: That's a win for LA and thank you for some
- 14:40Speaker 2: terrible base running.
- 14:43Speaker 4: What a great call.
- 14:45Speaker 3: Hows about to say real brain fart from real Muto,
- 14:47Speaker 3: But that was a better way to say it.
- 14:50Speaker 1: That was a terrible The filler should have won that game. Yeah,
- 14:53Speaker 1: it was unbelievable, terrible loss for Donnie baseball.
- 14:56Speaker 3: That's right.
- 14:56Speaker 1: Yes, I just reminded, is he that Don Mattingly is
- 15:01Speaker 1: the manager of the Phillies. Before we get to Ike
- 15:04Speaker 1: in the sports update, we'll get to Izzy's take here
- 15:06Speaker 1: on the Golden State Warriors at Steph Curry and Lebron
- 15:09Speaker 1: James Taylor has the best stat in baseball that nobody talks.
- 15:13Speaker 6: About or knows about.
- 15:15Speaker 3: Really Yeah, okay, well tell us that's that. Give it
- 15:18Speaker 3: to us.
- 15:19Speaker 1: It's a new segment here a Staton baseball that nobody
- 15:22Speaker 1: knows about.
- 15:22Speaker 6: Got So I'm watching the Cubs game last night and
- 15:26Speaker 6: PCA makes an unbelievable catch in center field. It feels
- 15:30Speaker 6: like he does it all the time, And then it
- 15:32Speaker 6: turns out he does do it all the time because
- 15:34Speaker 6: the broadcast puts up a graphic that since twenty sixteen,
- 15:38Speaker 6: PCA leads the MLB in five star catches.
- 15:42Speaker 1: Wow, well I love that stat. Yes, you're right, nobody's talking.
- 15:46Speaker 1: It's the first I've ever.
- 15:47Speaker 3: Heard of it.
- 15:47Speaker 6: So five star catches I do more research are catches
- 15:52Speaker 6: on catch probabilities of twenty five percent or less, and PCA,
- 15:58Speaker 6: according to Alex dev MLB has the highest success rate
- 16:02Speaker 6: on five star catch opportunities. So on these catches where
- 16:06Speaker 6: the catch probability is less than twenty five percent, yeah,
- 16:08Speaker 6: PCA's probability that he'll catch it is actually fifty two
- 16:11Speaker 6: point four percent. So he's catching five star catches more
- 16:15Speaker 6: than half the time.
- 16:15Speaker 3: That's how you get me to like stats. Yeah, just
- 16:18Speaker 3: give it a flashy name five star catch. I'm in
- 16:21Speaker 3: on that.
- 16:21Speaker 1: I think that should be a Staton football five star
- 16:24Speaker 1: catch for a receiver.
- 16:25Speaker 3: What do you think?
- 16:25Speaker 1: Yes, yes, like an uncatchable ball that Randy Moss catches
- 16:28Speaker 1: because he's Randy Moss.
- 16:30Speaker 5: Yes, worth extra points in fantasy.
- 16:34Speaker 6: But Mikey, I would consider you a little like, probably
- 16:37Speaker 6: a notch below me in terms of just loving baseball
- 16:40Speaker 6: and watching baseball game.
- 16:41Speaker 3: Very kind of you.
- 16:42Speaker 6: Yes, you're welcome.
- 16:43Speaker 3: Well, just a notch below.
- 16:44Speaker 5: Strive to be a notch below.
- 16:46Speaker 6: Yeah, So like the notches above me are the Jeff Passons,
- 16:50Speaker 6: who's coming up? The Tim Kirchins, the Karl Ravitch's, those
- 16:53Speaker 6: those guys are above me without without question, ad Nan verk. Yeah,
- 16:57Speaker 6: but right below me, it's it's the Mikey A's. And
- 16:59Speaker 6: then to get further and further down the list before
- 17:02Speaker 6: you start to find Steve Gatson, Izzy, Yes, keep.
- 17:06Speaker 1: Going, Mikey's where he wants to be, and I'm exactly
- 17:10Speaker 1: where I want to be.
- 17:10Speaker 6: Yes, and Riccardo is actually above me in the in
- 17:13Speaker 6: this tier. Yes, in the.
- 17:15Speaker 3: Past, he's above Kirchin. No, he is wow.
- 17:19Speaker 6: He's saying no, he's screaming no. He doesn't want he
- 17:22Speaker 6: doesn't want Patsenter Kirchen to think that he thinks he's
- 17:25Speaker 6: above them on this tier.
- 17:26Speaker 4: But he does.
- 17:27Speaker 3: He thinks he does.
- 17:28Speaker 4: He thinks he's a bigger baseball fan than both of them.
- 17:30Speaker 6: But nobody else has heard about the five star catches
- 17:32Speaker 6: before this, right.
- 17:34Speaker 1: I never heard no, never heard of it. It's a
- 17:36Speaker 1: great stat. I'm with Izzy. That's how you get me
- 17:39Speaker 1: into stats. Give it a flashy name, five star catches.
- 17:43Speaker 3: If you do five star catches in football, you would
- 17:44Speaker 3: want a quarterback who's slightly inaccurate. If you want to
- 17:47Speaker 3: lead the league in five star catches, yes, you.
- 17:50Speaker 1: Would want Kyler Murray. Maybe it's going to be Justin
- 17:55Speaker 1: Jefferson this year.
- 17:56Speaker 3: I do like that stat. Though for a wide receiver
- 17:58Speaker 3: it be fantastic. It is. ODB would be have the
- 18:01Speaker 3: greatest five star catch. I would say of old j
- 18:04Speaker 3: Did I say, I said ODB? I said old dirty?
- 18:07Speaker 3: Oh my goodness, I'm an OBJ. You're right.
- 18:08Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 18:09Speaker 3: The parasites are thriving. They are thriving. They're moving to
- 18:11Speaker 3: my brain.
- 18:14Speaker 6: Oakland A's rookie infielder Joshua Coroda Grouer was placed on
- 18:19Speaker 6: the ten day injured list and went under and underwent
- 18:22Speaker 6: emergency surgery for a rupture testicle. Oh wow, thoughts and.
- 18:28Speaker 1: Prayers, yeahs, yes, moment of silence, t's and p's for
- 18:34Speaker 1: his bees.
- 18:34Speaker 3: Yes, he didn't die. So in my defense, Odell Beckel
- 18:42Speaker 3: his first two letters was his first name O, D
- 18:45Speaker 3: and the first letter of his last name, B, which
- 18:47Speaker 3: is why I got to ODB instead of OBJ, because
- 18:50Speaker 3: I forget he was a J.
- 18:51Speaker 1: You wrote it down on a piece of paper. You
- 18:53Speaker 1: highlighted the oh, you highlighted the B. There is no
- 18:56Speaker 1: making up for that mistake. There is no justifying the
- 18:59Speaker 1: mistake that.
- 18:59Speaker 3: You just made. It's just a mistake. It happens. Okay,
- 19:02Speaker 3: it's gonna sit with you for a while, isn't it.
- 19:06Speaker 3: I've already justified Yeah, all right.
- 19:09Speaker 1: So why not Golden State as it relates to Lebron James,
- 19:13Speaker 1: Because I would say this before you get to your
- 19:15Speaker 1: point that the team Lebron is talking about the least
- 19:18Speaker 1: and right now it is Golden State.
- 19:20Speaker 4: I would say that's the team to look out for.
- 19:22Speaker 3: Okay, my first instinct there is I think he wants
- 19:25Speaker 3: out of the West. It's too deep for him. It's not,
- 19:28Speaker 3: you know, preferred conference. But the champs came out of
- 19:31Speaker 3: the East. I mean, that's a good point to say.
- 19:34Speaker 3: But I don't know if you saw this story, but
- 19:36Speaker 3: the Naysmith Basketball Hall of Fame they're launching a new
- 19:39Speaker 3: exhibit this weekend dedicated to Steph Kurt Okay, right, okay,
- 19:45Speaker 3: see where you're going now. This is the first time
- 19:48Speaker 3: and nearly in this nearly seventy five year history, that
- 19:51Speaker 3: an active player will be honored within the walls with
- 19:54Speaker 3: a dedicated exhibit, Okay, because they're basically highlighting his journey
- 20:00Speaker 3: beyond the arc. Steph Curry. Beyond the Arc. It's pretty good.
- 20:03Speaker 3: Quite the honor, perfect name for it. You have got
- 20:07Speaker 3: to be kidding me with that. You're gonna tell me
- 20:10Speaker 3: that of the current players who deserve and exhibit in
- 20:13Speaker 3: the Hall of Fame, Steph Curry is the son of
- 20:17Speaker 3: an NBA player. How did not? I'm not discrediting his path, Okay,
- 20:22Speaker 3: it was. I told you the other day. He's my goat, Like,
- 20:25Speaker 3: I love the guy. He's my favorite player, one of
- 20:28Speaker 3: my favorite people in the NBA.
- 20:29Speaker 1: But as I think you pointed out this is it's
- 20:32Speaker 1: it's far and few between when the NBA is honoring
- 20:35Speaker 1: a guy who's still playing in the NBA.
- 20:37Speaker 3: Correct, Yes, And if you were gonna honor somebody who
- 20:39Speaker 3: was still playing in the NBA, how about the guy
- 20:41Speaker 3: who leads in points of all time. Got the guy
- 20:43Speaker 3: who's been in the league for twenty something years representing
- 20:46Speaker 3: the league in such a great way. Not that Steph
- 20:48Speaker 3: hasn't done that. Yeah, but you gotta be kidding me
- 20:50Speaker 3: with that. Like that is, if I'm Lebron James, not
- 20:53Speaker 3: only am I not going to go help him get
- 20:55Speaker 3: the same you know, keep on the same number of
- 20:57Speaker 3: championships as I am. But I want to make sure
- 21:00Speaker 3: that it is evident that I am the player of
- 21:04Speaker 3: my generation, not Steph Curry. I've already played with Steph
- 21:07Speaker 3: on the Olympics team. I know what that feels like.
- 21:10Speaker 3: I've got my moment next to him. I don't need
- 21:12Speaker 3: to go rely on him at this stage of his
- 21:15Speaker 3: career to then him get all the credit for me
- 21:18Speaker 3: getting my fifth championship. If I'm Lebron James, I'm like, no, No,
- 21:21Speaker 3: let's remain rivals. We can you know, we can have
- 21:24Speaker 3: that one, you know, twenty twenty four Olympics moment together.
- 21:28Speaker 3: But no, I'm the guy who looked back at you
- 21:31Speaker 3: like are you kidding me? After I blocked you in
- 21:33Speaker 3: the finals. I'm the man who deserves a Hall of
- 21:36Speaker 3: Fame exhibit while I'm still playing, not you, Steph Curry.
- 21:40Speaker 3: So why would I go play with you and sort
- 21:43Speaker 3: of create this fifth championship for both of us? Now?
- 21:47Speaker 3: I don't know if Lebron's ego remains that sort of
- 21:50Speaker 3: rigid you know that? Oh, I believe it does.
- 21:53Speaker 2: I do too.
- 21:54Speaker 1: I believe he's petty. I think he pays attention to
- 21:56Speaker 1: things like that. I'm not saying it's impacted his relationship
- 21:59Speaker 1: with Steph Curry, but I do think somewhere, at some point,
- 22:02Speaker 1: Lebron has thought.
- 22:03Speaker 3: To himself, Hey, why is Steph being hunted? And I'm not,
- 22:06Speaker 3: Yes and so, And of the guys who are still
- 22:09Speaker 3: capable of having a flurry, like carrying a team over
- 22:12Speaker 3: a course of a game or a course of a series,
- 22:15Speaker 3: it's Steph Curry. Like he's going to be the guy
- 22:18Speaker 3: in that setting. And if I'm Lebron, I'd rather have
- 22:21Speaker 3: it be, you know, a jannisant at Takunpo. That's a
- 22:23Speaker 3: decade younger than me, right that I can say, oh yeah,
- 22:27Speaker 3: he's carrying me, but I've done more in my career.
- 22:30Speaker 3: Let me show him how to win. So the idea
- 22:32Speaker 3: of teaming with Steph wile it would be fun to
- 22:35Speaker 3: watch games, I don't think mentally, I don't think that's
- 22:38Speaker 3: where Lebron wants to be or needs to be.
- 22:40Speaker 1: Frankly, let's take a call as we have the Devil online.
- 22:44Speaker 1: One go ahead, devil.
- 22:45Speaker 6: Hey zy, just if I could just advocate on my
- 22:48Speaker 6: own behalf here for a second. Steph Curry has done
- 22:51Speaker 6: more for the game of basketball than Lebron James did.
- 22:53Speaker 6: Where you talk about their impact from the three point line,
- 22:57Speaker 6: twenty years from now, the story is going to be
- 22:59Speaker 6: about Steph Curry in the game, not Lebron Jameshange and yeah,
- 23:01Speaker 6: thank you.
- 23:02Speaker 3: Thanks. The problem with your argument it is it supports
- 23:06Speaker 3: my argument.
- 23:06Speaker 1: Why are there birds behind the devil? I mean, the
- 23:09Speaker 1: devil doesn't live in a place that has birds. Sure,
- 23:11Speaker 1: big it's crows. Yeah, we have to talk about it.
- 23:16Speaker 1: We're gonna have to talk about crows. They're a little
- 23:18Speaker 1: scary to be yes, they are.
- 23:20Speaker 3: But uh yeah, that's another reason why he wouldn't go
- 23:23Speaker 3: over there, because that's what if you're telling me that
- 23:27Speaker 3: people already think that way. Lebron's like, no, no, let
- 23:30Speaker 3: me go get championships five and six somewhere else, and
- 23:33Speaker 3: I can completely sort of reset the standard. Hey, it's me.
- 23:37Speaker 3: It's a bit of a gap. And then it's Steph Curry. Yes,
- 23:40Speaker 3: I'm sorry, thank you, Satan.
- 23:41Speaker 1: I'm throwing off a bit because it's the first time
- 23:43Speaker 1: Satan's ever called into my radio show. I am honored,
- 23:47Speaker 1: and I'm confused because it sounded like he was at
- 23:50Speaker 1: the beach.
- 23:52Speaker 5: He didn't sound like I thought he would.
- 23:56Speaker 6: It's slight like New York accent.
- 23:58Speaker 1: Oh, so you think that the pettiness that's interesting is
- 24:03Speaker 1: he because he's become very good friends with Steph Curry.
- 24:06Speaker 3: They are golfing buddies.
- 24:07Speaker 1: Now, I am telling you, we'll go back to Tahoe
- 24:10Speaker 1: after Lebron retires, and he's going to be at that tournament.
- 24:13Speaker 1: He's going to be playing in it because Steph is
- 24:15Speaker 1: recruiting him. But because of the pettiness, I can see
- 24:19Speaker 1: a place where Lebron would be upset that Steph is
- 24:22Speaker 1: getting all the shine that he feels like he deserves.
- 24:25Speaker 1: So I think that's a fair.
- 24:26Speaker 3: Point by you.
- 24:26Speaker 1: I don't know if it's enough to keep him from playing,
- 24:29Speaker 1: you know, inside an organization that he wants to be
- 24:32Speaker 1: with and play with a player that he wants to
- 24:34Speaker 1: play with before he hangs it up. But I do
- 24:36Speaker 1: understand what it is you're saying, because he is petty
- 24:38Speaker 1: and he's very.
- 24:39Speaker 3: Competitive and going back to basketball, just the rest of
- 24:41Speaker 3: that team, Jimmy Butler Lebron James. A lot of duplication there,
- 24:46Speaker 3: Draymond Green Lebron James. I just don't love that pairing
- 24:50Speaker 3: at all.
- 24:50Speaker 6: Well, we know.
- 24:54Speaker 3: One half of that pairing. I don't like it.
- 24:55Speaker 1: It really depends on what Lebron is basing this decision on.
- 24:59Speaker 1: And for me, it should just be how do I
- 25:01Speaker 1: win a fifth ring. I don't care where I win it.
- 25:04Speaker 1: I don't care who I win it with. I just
- 25:06Speaker 1: want to get a fifth title. What a way to
- 25:08Speaker 1: go out by winning a fifth title in your final
- 25:12Speaker 1: year in the NBA. And if I'm looking at those
- 25:15Speaker 1: things just that, If I'm looking at just that, what team,
- 25:19Speaker 1: what organization that is currently constructed gives me the best
- 25:23Speaker 1: chance to kind of slot in and help that team
- 25:26Speaker 1: win an NBA championship.
- 25:27Speaker 3: I would choose Philadelphia, but let me let me have
- 25:30Speaker 3: one more final detail there. There have been reports, and
- 25:32Speaker 3: maybe it's just suggestions from Rich Paul or what have you,
- 25:35Speaker 3: but that it won't be just one final year. So
- 25:38Speaker 3: not only will that put less pressure on the first
- 25:41Speaker 3: year to win a championship, but it also adds to
- 25:44Speaker 3: the possibility, hey, more than one championship if they do
- 25:46Speaker 3: win it the first year.
- 25:47Speaker 1: Right, So what gives me the best chance to win
- 25:49Speaker 1: a fifth and a sixth?
- 25:50Speaker 3: Right?
- 25:50Speaker 1: Because he's chasing Jordan And again for me, it's still Philadelphia.
- 25:54Speaker 3: I mean that's the answer. Go ahead to hell.
- 25:55Speaker 6: In terms of talent, it feels like in Miami we
- 25:59Speaker 6: got the best Labrin on James years. Yes, and I'm
- 26:01Speaker 6: thinking they put that Dwayne Wade statue or what they
- 26:05Speaker 6: say is a Dwayne Wade statue in front of the
- 26:08Speaker 6: Heat Arena. Is he the lebron in statue territory for Miami?
- 26:13Speaker 3: Oh? I think the wins on this decision.
- 26:15Speaker 6: He comes back like if he's really that petty, what
- 26:17Speaker 6: if his decision is, hey, my statue has to be
- 26:20Speaker 6: put right next to Wade one inch bigger, Yes.
- 26:23Speaker 1: In front of Wads, so we don't to see it anymore.
- 26:26Speaker 1: There is a statue in the balance here, Yeah, you're right.
- 26:28Speaker 3: I don't think there's a statue if he doesn't come back.
- 26:30Speaker 3: I think if he comes back, I think if you.
- 26:32Speaker 1: Know, take the key, the key that Pat left under
- 26:34Speaker 1: the rug, He's taken that key back four years, doesn't
- 26:37Speaker 1: get your statue, gets your number retired?
- 26:39Speaker 4: Yes, and that's not enough.
- 26:42Speaker 3: I mean enough for what like enough for a statue.
- 26:45Speaker 3: Also enough to make Lebron happy. I'm sure he'll be happy.
- 26:47Speaker 3: He'll have his number retired in three places.
- 26:50Speaker 1: Do you agree, though, of the teams that Lebron reportedly
- 26:53Speaker 1: is considering the team that gives him the best chance.
- 26:56Speaker 1: If we're just doing it by winning NBA titles, team
- 27:00Speaker 1: gives me the best chance?
- 27:02Speaker 3: Is it unfair to say it's Philadelphia? To me, it
- 27:05Speaker 3: is because what you're doing with Philadelphia is one, you're
- 27:08Speaker 3: projecting a team to win two more rounds than they've
- 27:12Speaker 3: ever won with Joel embiid there. Yes, you're projecting Joel
- 27:15Speaker 3: Embi to survive one hundred games or you know, through
- 27:18Speaker 3: the playoffs, which we haven't seen him do healthy except
- 27:21Speaker 3: maybe twenty nineteen. And you're projecting a team that has
- 27:26Speaker 3: two huge new parts to it in Jalen Brown and
- 27:31Speaker 3: Lebron James, with a second year star in VJ. Edgecombe,
- 27:34Speaker 3: with another high usage guy in Maxi along with Joel Embiid,
- 27:39Speaker 3: and you're expecting Nick Nurse to figure all that out
- 27:41Speaker 3: in one year. And that rarely happens when you have
- 27:44Speaker 3: that mix of new players and sort of a new approach.
- 27:48Speaker 3: And again that is all with the assumption you're getting
- 27:50Speaker 3: a healthy Joel Embiid, when in reality you'll probably be
- 27:53Speaker 3: playing about forty percent of your regular season games without him. Right, Well,
- 27:57Speaker 3: let's not forget they have Dean Wade as well.
- 27:59Speaker 6: I mean, anyway, it's another big piece you got to
- 28:02Speaker 6: fit into that equation.
- 28:04Speaker 1: I would say, even with the heat, when Bosh, Wade
- 28:08Speaker 1: and Lebron got together that first year, they made it
- 28:11Speaker 1: to the NBA Finals, probably should have won the championship
- 28:14Speaker 1: that year, but ended up losing to Dallas. So you're right,
- 28:17Speaker 1: it's not as easy as it seems when you're putting
- 28:19Speaker 1: all those parts together. But Jaylen Brown has won an
- 28:22Speaker 1: NBA title Lebron James has won four NBA titles. You're
- 28:25Speaker 1: adding those two to those three that they already have,
- 28:27Speaker 1: edgecumbe Embiid and MAXI. That's man, that's a talented starts
- 28:32Speaker 1: super talented.
- 28:32Speaker 3: But again it's a team that would probably need some
- 28:35Speaker 3: time to come together. And you're even talking about like,
- 28:37Speaker 3: are we going to assume Lebron James is going to
- 28:40Speaker 3: be healthy his entire season, playing the entire season, like
- 28:43Speaker 3: you never know what could really happen there. And so
- 28:46Speaker 3: I think if you're going to convince yourself of all
- 28:49Speaker 3: these players, all these teams, which team has overachieved the most? Meaning,
- 28:54Speaker 3: has there been one of these teams that, despite looking
- 28:57Speaker 3: at their talent, you say, wow, they did even better
- 28:59Speaker 3: than I thought they would. The only team I can
- 29:01Speaker 3: think of as a twenty twenty two Golden State Warriors,
- 29:03Speaker 3: Like that team was not thought of to be a
- 29:05Speaker 3: championship caliber team outside of that hot start that they
- 29:07Speaker 3: had to the season, and then they go through the
- 29:09Speaker 3: playoffs and it's just like, holy cow, I can't believe
- 29:11Speaker 3: they just won a championship. So Lebron could convince himself, hey,
- 29:14Speaker 3: if they can do that in twenty two, they can
- 29:16Speaker 3: definitely do that a few years later with me.
- 29:17Speaker 1: The advantage that they he'd have is this is an
- 29:20Speaker 1: organization with Jimmy Butler as its best player. Eric Spolser
- 29:24Speaker 1: got them to the NBA Finals twice twice with Jimmy
- 29:28Speaker 1: Butler as their best player. So Lebron might be thinking, Hey,
- 29:31Speaker 1: I have experienced with Spoe. He's the best coach in
- 29:33Speaker 1: the NBA. Riley is relentless. He's not gonna stop trying
- 29:37Speaker 1: to add pieces to help us win an NBA title.
- 29:40Speaker 1: Been there, done that, did it twice as a matter
- 29:42Speaker 1: of fact. So I think what they he'd have in
- 29:45Speaker 1: their favor besides, outside of their social media team is.
- 29:49Speaker 3: Pat Riley and Eric Spolsher.
- 29:51Speaker 1: Lebron loves those guys, He respects those guys, and he
- 29:54Speaker 1: knows those guys are relentless about trying to win a
- 29:57Speaker 1: title and they get the most okay out of guy's
- 30:01Speaker 1: like Jimmy Butler.
- 30:02Speaker 3: They just do sure. And that's the last thing I'll
- 30:04Speaker 3: say about the Philly situation is of the four teams
- 30:07Speaker 3: that are reportedly in the mix, that is the one
- 30:10Speaker 3: he has the least familiarity with, right, And I think
- 30:13Speaker 3: there's a that matters to him some He doesn't want
- 30:15Speaker 3: to go into a situation where he doesn't know anything.
- 30:18Speaker 3: He doesn't know the organization, he doesn't know really how
- 30:20Speaker 3: the head coach operates. He never played with these guys
- 30:23Speaker 3: that you know that he's played with, so that he's
- 30:25Speaker 3: about to play with. So Nurse has won a title though, correct, Yeah,
- 30:28Speaker 3: and I think he's respected. I just don't think you
- 30:30Speaker 3: know he's played under him, so he doesn't really know.
- 30:32Speaker 3: Do you think Atkinson stays on if Lebron chooses the Cavs.
- 30:35Speaker 4: I mean, because that can't be working in their favor.
- 30:38Speaker 3: I mean analytically, he'll be fine. Now.
- 30:41Speaker 1: Lebron likes a guy who tells him even when he loses.
- 30:44Speaker 1: You've won the series, Yeah, exactly.

- 31:17Speaker 1: Hawkman Jeff Passon is going to join us an hour
- 31:19Speaker 1: number two at around four twenty five.
- 31:21Speaker 3: What are you laughing at? By the way you read,
- 31:23Speaker 3: I mean, what happened there? Five star catch? Not every
- 31:26Speaker 3: time I see five stars, I've signed some sort of
- 31:28Speaker 3: sporting event action to it.
- 31:31Speaker 1: Let's take a couple of calls here eight seven, seven
- 31:33Speaker 1: ninety nine on Fox. Let's go to Paul, who's in
- 31:35Speaker 1: Rhode Island today. Paul, go ahead, you're on Fox Sports Radio.
- 31:39Speaker 9: Guys, first time call. Well, thank you for taking my call. Listen,
- 31:42Speaker 9: I think Lebron's going to be handcuffed if he stays
- 31:46Speaker 9: in the West. So he's got three openings. I would
- 31:49Speaker 9: love for him to come to Boston. I mean, he's
- 31:51Speaker 9: got business here. Oh I'm telling you, hey, right, I
- 31:56Speaker 9: mean maybe he's just our first, first and fourth quarter guy.
- 32:00Speaker 9: You know you no, no, we don't know. But I'm
- 32:03Speaker 9: gonna say this, the guy is got the right coach
- 32:07Speaker 9: for him, because you know why, the guy knows how
- 32:09Speaker 9: to work with the young talent and the and the
- 32:12Speaker 9: experienced telling. The other thing I wanted to say is this,
- 32:16Speaker 9: and I swear, I'm hoping before I leave my house,
- 32:20Speaker 9: sixty to park my car, sixty fave Dos and Bears,
- 32:24Speaker 9: and sixty four guys, I'm hoping the pages went all
- 32:27Speaker 9: the home games. That's eight games right there. All right, guys,
- 32:30Speaker 9: I love you, thank you.
- 32:32Speaker 3: You're the best. Paul. I love you more.
- 32:34Speaker 4: Now, Paul, let me say listen. I appreciate you saying
- 32:36Speaker 4: that you love us.
- 32:37Speaker 3: I love you more. We love you more, Paul. How
- 32:39Speaker 3: about that. I love your accent. I love the fact
- 32:42Speaker 3: that you said park my car. I cannot believe. I Look,
- 32:46Speaker 3: I can't be the one to break the news to you, right.
- 32:50Speaker 3: But I think it was Brian Windhorst who said, if
- 32:53Speaker 3: he had a list, Boston would be last on the
- 32:57Speaker 3: list of all NBA teams. That's how much he hate
- 33:00Speaker 3: it's Boston, which is why you might want to keep
- 33:02Speaker 3: an eye on Boston. Got a good price for that.
- 33:07Speaker 1: By the way, even with the Jylen Brown trade, who
- 33:09Speaker 1: are the favorites out of the East right now?
- 33:11Speaker 6: The Knicks.
- 33:12Speaker 4: It's not the Celtics anymore.
- 33:14Speaker 6: No, it's the Knicks.
- 33:15Speaker 3: Oh, but if.
- 33:15Speaker 1: They get Lebron, it's going to be the Celtics. And
- 33:17Speaker 1: Celtics are second, right, the Celtics are second. Yeah, Okay,
- 33:21Speaker 1: so of the teams he's considering, or well, he's not
- 33:24Speaker 1: really considering the Celtics, but if he did consider the Celtics,
- 33:26Speaker 1: that would be the best team.
- 33:27Speaker 3: That would be.
- 33:28Speaker 1: But thirtieth, let's go to Riley, who's in the great
- 33:34Speaker 1: state of North Dakota today.
- 33:36Speaker 3: Riley, go ahead, you're off Fox Sports Radio.
- 33:39Speaker 9: Hey, Solas, thanks for having me.
- 33:40Speaker 3: Here's what the deal is.
- 33:42Speaker 9: I think I'm not particularly too fond of Adam Silver
- 33:45Speaker 9: as a commissioner, But why don't you just have your
- 33:49Speaker 9: bases and have New York play Boston and.
- 33:52Speaker 6: Miami play the Sixers and Pewolves play Golden State over Christmas.
- 33:58Speaker 9: There you go, there's your Christmas date schedule.
- 34:02Speaker 3: That is pretty good. Like if he were to just
- 34:04Speaker 3: create the schedule based on Lebron's possible teams, Yes, you'll
- 34:08Speaker 3: still have a pretty good schedule, right, Yes, Adam Silver,
- 34:10Speaker 3: think about that.
- 34:11Speaker 1: I mean, the NBA has got it pretty good right now.
- 34:13Speaker 1: We'll see where Lebron ends up. But the teams in
- 34:15Speaker 1: the markets they want to be relevant. Are relevant Boston, Philadelphia, Miami,
- 34:22Speaker 1: of course, the Knicks, the Lakers a little less so
- 34:25Speaker 1: after losing Lebron, but still relevant because of the Lakers.
- 34:27Speaker 1: Go ahead, Mikey.
- 34:29Speaker 5: Maybe Lebron just wants Christmas off and that's why he's waiting.
- 34:32Speaker 7: He released the schedule, and I'm going to take a
- 34:34Speaker 7: team that doesn't play that day.
- 34:37Speaker 1: Let's get to Is it just me or? Ioway, Sam,
- 34:40Speaker 1: give us the imaging here?
- 34:44Speaker 3: I love this music. Listen, It's a game we play
- 34:46Speaker 3: every couple of weeks whenever we feel like.
- 34:52Speaker 1: Taylor kick off the proceedings here, Okay, I'll start Yeah,
- 34:56Speaker 1: Is it just me?
- 34:57Speaker 3: Or?
- 34:57Speaker 6: Has the Tour de France never felt less relevant? What's
- 35:02Speaker 6: going on right now? I believe I saw a notification
- 35:05Speaker 6: that they just finished stage seventeen or stage eighteen. Wow,
- 35:08Speaker 6: I feel like I haven't heard about the Tour de
- 35:09Speaker 6: France since like two thousand.
- 35:10Speaker 3: I have to disagree with you. I feel like it's
- 35:12Speaker 3: been the same level of irrelevant my entire life. No,
- 35:17Speaker 3: absolutely not. Even then, I was just like, oh, is
- 35:19Speaker 3: it is it Tour de France part of the season.
- 35:21Speaker 3: I had no idea.
- 35:22Speaker 10: Yeah, Bor de France, who wants to watch a bunch
- 35:30Speaker 10: of guys peddling a bicycle?
- 35:32Speaker 6: Yeah, But the yellow jersey that the leader has. I
- 35:34Speaker 6: feel like that's something that sports could take more, Like
- 35:38Speaker 6: we could implement that in more sports, Like maybe instead
- 35:40Speaker 6: of the golden boot, whoever was leading in goals had
- 35:43Speaker 6: a yellow jersey.
- 35:44Speaker 3: I love that. Actually, the VP, the guy who's on
- 35:46Speaker 3: the top of the MVP lad gets to play with
- 35:49Speaker 3: a different colored jersey. Very interesting. Mikey Ay, go ahead?
- 35:54Speaker 10: Uh?
- 35:55Speaker 7: Is it just me or if you cut a sandwich
- 35:57Speaker 7: or a bagel a certain way, you get more.
- 36:02Speaker 3: You're always looking for more, that's for sure. Uh, that
- 36:08Speaker 3: one might be the easiest answer you have to just do.
- 36:13Speaker 10: It?
- 36:13Speaker 3: Is just damn? Is he going ahead? Is it just
- 36:17Speaker 3: mirror shack on to something? With this dunk Man contest?
- 36:20Speaker 3: Have you seen any of this? Like he started this
- 36:23Speaker 3: Dunkman competition and every time I see a clip, I'm like,
- 36:26Speaker 3: I want to watch that, And frankly, I feel like
- 36:29Speaker 3: that's gonna give all of the NBA contest dunkers a
- 36:32Speaker 3: ton of ideas going into the next All Star weekend.
- 36:35Speaker 3: I think it was a huge Uh, like a very
- 36:37Speaker 3: smart idea for Shack and all the people that you
- 36:39Speaker 3: know he worked with on that.
- 36:40Speaker 11: I can't wait to watch a bunch of second round
- 36:42Speaker 11: picks duke it out the way Shack.
- 36:45Speaker 1: If given the choice Shaq's Dunk Contest or the Tour
- 36:48Speaker 1: de France, I'd be watching the Board de France.
- 36:50Speaker 3: Would you know you?
- 36:51Speaker 6: I'd be watching the back of my eye.
- 36:53Speaker 3: Listen, you haven't seen any of the clips. That's what
- 37:00Speaker 3: what an hour I made?
- 37:01Speaker 1: Seriously, it was a greatplicted passage coming up an hour
- 37:04Speaker 1: number two.
- 37:05Speaker 3: But there is no way we'll ever top having the
- 37:07Speaker 3: Devil hold into Fox Sports Drop.
- 37:13Speaker 1: We'll finish off the show with the top one hundred
- 37:15Speaker 1: baseball players of all time according to a guy named Jake.
- 37:19Speaker 3: And we're gonna do whatever number feels right. Yes, what
- 37:23Speaker 3: number were we on? I forget? I think we left
- 37:25Speaker 3: off on eighty six and going into eighty five. Is
- 37:27Speaker 3: that sound right? Yes?
- 37:29Speaker 1: Yes, that is back to back baseball segments for Izzy.
- 37:32Speaker 1: So I'm thinking maybe I don't know, sit out one
- 37:34Speaker 1: of them if you want, I.
- 37:36Speaker 3: Might just sit here and not say a thing during
- 37:38Speaker 3: the Jeff Passing interview.
- 37:41Speaker 1: But Taylor has a game here before we get to
- 37:43Speaker 1: Jeff passing, Taylor set up the game.
- 37:45Speaker 3: What do we have here?
- 37:47Speaker 6: So this is a game, jeezus call it up. Yeah,
- 37:50Speaker 6: pitch or paint.
- 37:52Speaker 3: Pitch or paint.
- 37:54Speaker 6: I'll give you a name and you have to say
- 37:56Speaker 6: whether they played in the Summer League or they played
- 38:00Speaker 6: in the World Cup.
- 38:02Speaker 3: Ah, that's your picture in the paint. I thought it
- 38:08Speaker 3: was pitched like you're a pitcher, so you're playing baseball.
- 38:11Speaker 3: That's what I thought be.
- 38:13Speaker 5: A good game outside corner painter.
- 38:17Speaker 3: Is that a guy? I think so?
- 38:18Speaker 6: Yes, So I have you each will get this painter.
- 38:23Speaker 6: You guys will each get ten names each. The order
- 38:26Speaker 6: will go Mikey, Izzy and Stu Gotts. All right, mikey
- 38:32Speaker 6: A the first name up? Nick Martinelli, Oh, I know
- 38:37Speaker 6: that one.
- 38:37Speaker 11: Oh that's uh, that's gotta be a paint.
- 38:44Speaker 6: That is right. Yeah, I knew not to give Stu
- 38:46Speaker 6: Gotts the Northwestern guy.
- 38:48Speaker 1: Yep, he's he's friends with my daughter. I think he
- 38:51Speaker 1: led the big tenant scoring. I think they Nicks drafted
- 38:53Speaker 1: him and then traded him afterwards.
- 38:55Speaker 6: Right, there's no way they drafted him.
- 38:56Speaker 1: I think they next drafted him. Look it up, Nick Martin.
- 38:59Speaker 1: Now that would have been a good name for a
- 39:01Speaker 1: New York nick.
- 39:02Speaker 3: Huh?
- 39:03Speaker 6: Is he next name?
- 39:04Speaker 12: Up?
- 39:04Speaker 3: A couple of nicks? All right?
- 39:07Speaker 6: Victor lock In?
- 39:10Speaker 3: Hmmm? Can I ask any questions? Can you spell the last.
- 39:12Speaker 6: Name for me? I could use it. I could use
- 39:14Speaker 6: it in a sentence if you want, please locked In?
- 39:17Speaker 6: I saw Victor locked In crossing the street.
- 39:21Speaker 3: Okay, so if he was crossing a street, then he
- 39:24Speaker 3: I'm going to go pitch.
- 39:29Speaker 4: Wow.
- 39:31Speaker 1: I would have absolutely went pitched. There a great soccer name. Yes,
- 39:36Speaker 1: Stu Gott's your name? Aiden O'Neill Pitcher paint.
- 39:42Speaker 3: Oh, I know that one, Aiden O'Neill Pitcher paint. It's
- 39:51Speaker 3: a tough one.
- 39:52Speaker 4: I'm gonna say, pitch for Aiden O'Neil.
- 39:55Speaker 6: Yes, for Australia.
- 39:57Speaker 3: Wow?
- 39:58Speaker 6: Was that a fake? I knew it from Mikey?
- 40:00Speaker 5: No, I remember the Australia game.
- 40:02Speaker 3: I think he plays for MLS.
- 40:03Speaker 1: Wait, but you remember the Australia game and you remember
- 40:06Speaker 1: a player from the Australian team.
- 40:09Speaker 9: Sure.
- 40:09Speaker 4: I don't believe I'm calling BS.
- 40:12Speaker 3: Sounds like it'd be like the Scottish team or something.
- 40:15Speaker 6: Mikey, Hey, your name? Noah?
- 40:20Speaker 3: Oh?
- 40:20Speaker 5: Wow, I'm going I'm going back to the paint.
- 40:28Speaker 1: Ah.
- 40:29Speaker 6: Wow, Mike is getting hot right now.
- 40:32Speaker 3: I hadn't watched much Summer League. I should have watched
- 40:35Speaker 3: so much more.
- 40:35Speaker 6: Stupid World Cup.
- 40:37Speaker 5: You know what catch up to us?
- 40:38Speaker 3: Is he?

- 40:46Speaker 4: We all know this one.
- 40:47Speaker 6: Man, Harry Weshington.
- 40:49Speaker 3: Wessel's definitely his pitch. Wow, he's over to Just like softball.
- 40:58Speaker 4: You're giving me the harder one.
- 41:00Speaker 3: Doesn't count, doesn't a bad study?
- 41:04Speaker 6: Mikey A wait, wait, wait, who is that?
- 41:07Speaker 3: You skipped me?

- 41:11Speaker 6: you mean?
- 41:11Speaker 3: Good call?

- 41:13Speaker 3: Yes? Good call?
- 41:15Speaker 6: Hougi right haji?
- 41:19Speaker 3: Oh boy? Why do I know all the others?
- 41:26Speaker 1: Well, I'm gonna say paint because as he would know,
- 41:29Speaker 1: so paint not Jesus?
- 41:30Speaker 6: Is he Team USA?
- 41:32Speaker 3: Yeah, Mikey's in the lead. He's got us as do
- 41:36Speaker 3: not just pitch us and what they did exactly?
- 41:39Speaker 6: Good Mikey A. Next name up? Vlotty slov Golden.
- 41:46Speaker 3: Blotty, Golden.
- 41:49Speaker 5: You want me to say paint here, but I'm gonna
- 41:51Speaker 5: go pitch.
- 41:53Speaker 3: Yes, I needed that that's a heater. That's even more local. Really, Yeah,
- 41:58Speaker 3: Bloody was on the team last year. Witch tea Miami.

- 42:12Speaker 3: Nico pause pause pause. Pitch.
- 42:22Speaker 6: He is one for three Argentina.
- 42:24Speaker 3: His first hit the Nico is what made me think pitched.
- 42:31Speaker 1: Axel Whittle, Axel Whittle, odd name.
- 42:42Speaker 3: I'm gonna say, pitch. I think I know what Taylor
- 42:46Speaker 3: was doing there. He was trying to make you think
- 42:48Speaker 3: of Yaxa Landenberg. I think it's definitely paid.
- 42:52Speaker 6: He almost did Mikey A. Gabe Madson Wow.
- 43:00Speaker 3: Gave him that suit.
- 43:02Speaker 6: I'm gonna go back to the paint.
- 43:05Speaker 3: Damn it is anybody else? I think this World Cup
- 43:08Speaker 3: has affected me too much, or the world in general.
- 43:10Speaker 3: Whenever they hear mikey A, think of Turkey A. Because
- 43:13Speaker 3: that's all I think when I hear Mikey A.
- 43:15Speaker 4: Now he was Mikey and I renamed him Mikey.
- 43:19Speaker 3: Yeah, now it's Turkey A. Yeah?
- 43:21Speaker 6: Is he next name up?
- 43:22Speaker 3: All right?
- 43:23Speaker 6: Mama do sar man, Mama do so?
- 43:27Speaker 3: Mama? Do can be an either hag sport yep, yep.
- 43:30Speaker 6: That sounds like a trend here with every game but
- 43:33Speaker 6: the absolutely Yes.
- 43:35Speaker 3: But there's an Alex Saar in the NBA. Yes, So
- 43:38Speaker 3: I'm going say, brother s plays soccer on the pitch?
- 43:42Speaker 1: Uh yeah, get back its logic for friends.
- 43:47Speaker 5: Due needs this one to keep pace?
- 43:48Speaker 3: Two for three?
- 43:49Speaker 6: Is he?
- 43:49Speaker 3: How about that? First time?
- 43:51Speaker 6: For everything?
- 43:53Speaker 3: I keep making the.
- 43:54Speaker 4: Same softball joke.
- 43:55Speaker 6: Go ahead, Maxim Ray No scene Reno, Maxine Reino.
- 44:02Speaker 1: Maxine Rao sounds like a soccer player so much so
- 44:07Speaker 1: I'm gonna say paint.
- 44:09Speaker 3: Yeah, is he a Nick?
- 44:13Speaker 6: No, it's from Stanford. I remember him at Stanford.
- 44:16Speaker 3: That was Nick Martin Elly.
- 44:18Speaker 6: I still don't think he was a Nick.
- 44:20Speaker 3: He was drafted. Look it up Sacramento Kings.
- 44:23Speaker 6: Mikey traded afterwards. Christophe Tilly, Christophe Tilly.
- 44:32Speaker 3: Legend.
- 44:35Speaker 5: I'm going pitch.
- 44:37Speaker 3: Christophe Tilly? Who is that summer league legend? Do I
- 44:41Speaker 3: not know the NBA?
- 44:44Speaker 5: You could just hear somebody go ahead, Kelly with the crossou.
- 44:48Speaker 6: Is he next name up? Hioki Ito?
- 44:53Speaker 3: Wow? Like Judge Edo Man Corota. I feel like this
- 44:59Speaker 3: is who wants to be a millionaire. So I'm gonna
- 45:01Speaker 3: talk my way through this. I couldn't think of Maybe
- 45:05Speaker 3: the South Korea or Japan teams would have uh an
- 45:08Speaker 3: e to on it right, probably Japan, But I think
- 45:12Speaker 3: that's where you want me to go with this, So
- 45:14Speaker 3: I'm going to go paint.
- 45:15Speaker 6: Yeah, team Japan.
- 45:18Speaker 3: I was with you, dang it.
- 45:19Speaker 1: Yeah, I overthought it. This is for the lead, Yeah,
- 45:23Speaker 1: for the lead for the wind. Right now there's more,
- 45:25Speaker 1: one more, n O get two more?
- 45:27Speaker 6: The next name ups gots yeah, Otega oh way.
- 45:36Speaker 3: You know this? No this one, I don't know.
- 45:42Speaker 1: I thought you were gonna say no way there o
- 45:47Speaker 1: Tega Oway, this is big. I'm gonna say pitch.
- 45:53Speaker 6: Oh no way from Kentucky.
- 45:55Speaker 12: Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, okay, Well Corlie Stein is coaching now,
- 46:02Speaker 12: mikeyy Nathan Saliba.
- 46:07Speaker 3: Oh wow, that has to be paint.
- 46:10Speaker 11: That sounds absolutely like a soccer player. So I'm gonna
- 46:14Speaker 11: say paint.
- 46:20Speaker 3: Is he did?
- 46:21Speaker 5: I did? I fell into Izzy's trap?
- 46:23Speaker 1: See Trump wants to sue Canada for all the smoke
- 46:25Speaker 1: coming to America that you got it smoke to deal with?
- 46:30Speaker 6: Is he Young Young Lee?
- 46:33Speaker 5: Oh wow?
- 46:37Speaker 2: Man?
- 46:38Speaker 3: If that doesn't sound like a South Korea soccer name,
- 46:41Speaker 3: I don't know what does. Or a baseball pitcher. I'm
- 46:45Speaker 3: going paint.
- 46:50Speaker 9: Up.
- 46:50Speaker 4: Should be pitch pitcher or paint.
- 46:57Speaker 6: Stutt's next name up? Who's winning? Everybody's at three three?
- 47:02Speaker 3: Yeah, okay, Mulos.
- 47:06Speaker 6: Who's on?
- 47:08Speaker 1: Mulos sounds like a guy who can hit threes from
- 47:12Speaker 1: a long distance.
- 47:13Speaker 6: Or swing a corner in. And we'll swing a corner in.
- 47:16Speaker 5: You know, Mulosh can do a header.
- 47:19Speaker 4: I'm gonna say paint.
- 47:23Speaker 6: Wait he Ricardo incorrected that.
- 47:27Speaker 3: Negative one for confuse.
- 47:29Speaker 6: What thumbs up?
- 47:30Speaker 3: Man? Is that possible? Stu's correct?
- 47:38Speaker 6: All right, we're gonna do We're gonna do one more
- 47:40Speaker 6: round here winning.
- 47:42Speaker 4: So I am leading going into the final round.
- 47:44Speaker 5: Stu needs to hit it or both of us need
- 47:46Speaker 5: to miss it for the game.
- 47:48Speaker 6: Mikey a Turkey, Kobe Mano.

- 49:34Speaker 4: I'm gonna say, uh, I'm gonna say pitch.
- 49:41Speaker 6: Clutch, Stu.
- 49:42Speaker 1: Can we hear how you would have settled this if
- 49:45Speaker 1: it went to overtime?
- 49:46Speaker 3: Though?
- 49:46Speaker 4: Had I gotten that one wrong?
- 49:47Speaker 6: I just have more names.

- 50:10Speaker 4: Our thanks to Jeff Passion for joining us.
- 50:13Speaker 1: We will get to the top one hundred baseball players
- 50:16Speaker 1: of all time. According to a guy named Jake, the
- 50:18Speaker 1: one hundred greatest dot com is the name of his website.
- 50:22Speaker 1: Taylor has not stopped fighting with Ricardo. Born out Ricardo
- 50:27Speaker 1: about Tony gwyn and I cannot believe Jeff Passing just
- 50:30Speaker 1: kind of agreed with you about Luis.
- 50:33Speaker 3: How do you say his last name?
- 50:34Speaker 5: Araz?
- 50:35Speaker 6: Louis? Ever is?
- 50:36Speaker 3: I mean Jesus Christ? But Luis?
- 50:39Speaker 1: How do you say it again? Yes, being a poor
- 50:42Speaker 1: man's Tony Gwinn. Passing agreed, I was shocked.
- 50:44Speaker 6: My larger point is that if Luisa Rise was on
- 50:47Speaker 6: the inaugural Marlins team.
- 50:49Speaker 3: Yeah, it should be a raz but anyway, go ahead.
- 50:51Speaker 6: If Luisa Rise was on the inaugural Marlins team, he
- 50:54Speaker 6: would be mister Marlin instead. Of Jeff Cones.
- 50:58Speaker 1: There's debate as to weather Jeff Conin should be mister
- 51:01Speaker 1: Marlin and a cup of coffee.
- 51:04Speaker 3: There's no chance he would have been mister Marlin. Yes.
- 51:07Speaker 1: Yes, Mikey was very upset that pass In even dared
- 51:11Speaker 1: to agree with Taylor on his take. But Mikey has
- 51:15Speaker 1: been enamored with Tony Gwynn over the last twenty four
- 51:18Speaker 1: hours or so, and he has a top five Tony
- 51:21Speaker 1: Gwinn stats.
- 51:22Speaker 4: Of all time for us. I'm very excited about this.
- 51:24Speaker 1: Before we continue with our list from Jake, let's go
- 51:27Speaker 1: to Mikey A's top five Tony Gwinn stats.
- 51:30Speaker 3: What do you got for us?
- 51:31Speaker 11: All right, Bertie for time, I'm just going to do
- 51:34Speaker 11: number five and leave out my olies.
- 51:37Speaker 5: Number five.
- 51:38Speaker 7: Tony Gwinn hit three hundred in nineteen straight years. Your
- 51:42Speaker 7: boy Luisa Raaz did it three times.
- 51:46Speaker 3: Wait a second, so these are comparing stats, not just no.
- 51:50Speaker 11: I just wanted to make sure that mister poor Man's
- 51:54Speaker 11: Tony gwyn No.
- 51:55Speaker 1: But let's not slander or a rise. He didn't say it,
- 51:57Speaker 1: Taylor said it. It's a ludicrous passing agrees.
- 52:00Speaker 3: So what are we gonna do? I mean, well, they.
- 52:03Speaker 5: Could both be wrong.
- 52:04Speaker 3: How many seasons for Gwinn.
- 52:07Speaker 5: Nineteen straight every year but his rookie year he hit
- 52:10Speaker 5: over three hundred.
- 52:11Speaker 3: Yeah, go ahead.
- 52:12Speaker 6: In the years Luis Rise didn't back three hundred. What
- 52:14Speaker 6: Mikey's leaving out is he batted two ninety four.
- 52:16Speaker 4: And that's not three hundred though, that's not three hundred.
- 52:20Speaker 3: Yep.
- 52:20Speaker 1: And Gwynn quiquin Quinn when was a career three thirty
- 52:24Speaker 1: eight hitter.
- 52:25Speaker 3: I believe, I mean, that's ridiculous.
- 52:27Speaker 7: Think about that, five years over three point fifty. That
- 52:29Speaker 7: didn't even make them four. Well, that was Passing's point.
- 52:34Speaker 7: It's why you agree with Taylor. I can't believe it.
- 52:36Speaker 1: As if Tony gwyn couldn't learn how to put some
- 52:38Speaker 1: power into his wing.
- 52:40Speaker 3: Go ahead.
- 52:41Speaker 5: Number four.
- 52:43Speaker 7: Tony Gwinn recorded forty five games with four or more
- 52:46Speaker 7: hits and only one game in which he struck out
- 52:49Speaker 7: three times.
- 52:52Speaker 4: That's pretty good. Number three.
- 52:55Speaker 5: Number three.
- 52:56Speaker 7: Including postseason play, Tony Gwynn faced eighty pitchers that would
- 53:01Speaker 7: later go into the Hall of Fame. In five hundred
- 53:04Speaker 7: and forty one appearances, roughly a season's worth of at bats,
- 53:07Speaker 7: he hit three thirty three I.
- 53:10Speaker 3: Say he could hit anybody against the best of the best.
- 53:13Speaker 7: Yes to that point is this is just an addendum
- 53:16Speaker 7: to that. Against Greg Maddox, Tom Glavin, John Smoltz and
- 53:20Speaker 7: Pedro Martinez. Tony Gwinn struck out three times. That should
- 53:25Speaker 7: be number one. That's that's still part of number three.
- 53:29Speaker 7: I haven't even gotten a number two yet, all right,
- 53:30Speaker 7: number two, number two. Tony Gwyn could have gone oh
- 53:34Speaker 7: for one thousand, one hundred and eighty two with one thousand,
- 53:38Speaker 7: one hundred and eighty two strikeouts and still maintained a
- 53:42Speaker 7: career batting average over three hundred, and with those hypothetical strikeouts,
- 53:46Speaker 7: his strikeout rate rate would remain lower than Derek Jeter.
- 53:52Speaker 3: I'm not sure what you just said there, but sounds good.
- 53:54Speaker 6: I have a stat too, Yeah, Tony Gwyn eleven and
- 53:57Speaker 6: sixteen in the postseason.
- 53:58Speaker 3: Yew, that's a good stat.
- 53:59Speaker 1: Yeahs his record or just supporting Jeter, that's all he's
- 54:03Speaker 1: doing there.
- 54:03Speaker 3: I mean, that's it. He was over. He could have
- 54:05Speaker 3: got over what Mikey.
- 54:07Speaker 5: One thousand, one hundred and eighty two.
- 54:10Speaker 3: Wow, that's Izzy in softball.
- 54:15Speaker 4: The four times I made the joke, the keeps doing it.
- 54:19Speaker 3: To him, it's been over for months.
- 54:21Speaker 6: That one I didn't see coming at all.
- 54:23Speaker 12: That was it.
- 54:24Speaker 3: Yeah, he got that whole good stick dagger received.
- 54:30Speaker 1: He would think that is he doesn't see the softball
- 54:33Speaker 1: number two now number one, number one.
- 54:38Speaker 3: I'm sorry, my parasites, My mind's on number two. Oh
- 54:40Speaker 3: the parasites.
- 54:41Speaker 5: Alright, go ahead, nice uh number one.
- 54:45Speaker 7: In the entire nineteen nineties, he struck out one hundred
- 54:48Speaker 7: and eighty eight times across across twelve hundred and seventy
- 54:52Speaker 7: three games. For reference, sho he Otani struck out one
- 54:55Speaker 7: hundred and eighty nine times in twenty twenty one when
- 54:58Speaker 7: he won the MVP.
- 55:00Speaker 3: Different game. Yes, I'll say, I'll take a show hey
- 55:02Speaker 3: any day, exactly all these.
- 55:04Speaker 6: Stats, and then you look at Tony Gwinn's postseason success.
- 55:08Speaker 6: Maybe maybe baseball analytics people have a reason for their analytics.
- 55:12Speaker 3: All right, everybody calmed down, everybody calmed down. We got
- 55:16Speaker 3: another list to get to. Yes, Mikey A. Turkey A,
- 55:19Speaker 3: can you please give us number eighty five from Jake's
- 55:23Speaker 3: list of the best baseball players of all time?
- 55:26Speaker 6: Al Newhauser, what ahead of Tony Gwinn even should be
- 55:33Speaker 6: ahead of it.
- 55:35Speaker 3: I don't know who Al Newhuser is, but I think
- 55:37Speaker 3: it's the perfect way to end the segment because we
- 55:39Speaker 3: have no time for more.
- 55:40Speaker 1: Yeah, the one hundred greatest dot com. His name is Jake.
- 55:43Speaker 1: Bring it up with him.
- 55:44Speaker 4: We'll pick it up tomorrow at number eighty four.
- 55:47Speaker 3: Congrats Al new Hauser.
