Transcript
- 0:05Speaker 1: Drama, Darling Drama, Darling.
- 0:14Speaker 2: Drama, Darling.
- 0:19Speaker 1: Hello and welcome in, Darlings. It is a Love Island
- 0:23Speaker 1: day today. Okay, Deanna Chang is joining me. Deanna, welcome
- 0:29Speaker 1: into the Love Island.
- 0:32Speaker 3: It's a pleasure and an honor to be here. I mean,
- 0:35Speaker 3: thank you for having me.
- 0:37Speaker 1: You are welcome. Yeah, I mean, it's amazing how far
- 0:42Speaker 1: we've come in such a short amount of time with
- 0:44Speaker 1: these episodes. And today we are recapping episodes nine through thirteen,
- 0:51Speaker 1: nine through thirteen. Today is Tuesday, June seventeenth. An episode
- 0:57Speaker 1: dropped last night, Lucky thirteen, and by god did it
- 1:01Speaker 1: cause some tidle waves in Fiji. Ah, Okay, Deanna, before
- 1:10Speaker 1: we jump right in, because we got to just jump
- 1:12Speaker 1: into the deep end of the pool that never gets
- 1:15Speaker 1: swam in. We've got a couple, just a couple of
- 1:19Speaker 1: little things that a couple of the Darlings over on
- 1:22Speaker 1: Patreon just message one thing, which is well, I mean sorry,
- 1:28Speaker 1: the first thing Darling. Diane said that Austin reminds her
- 1:32Speaker 1: of Nicholas Cage from Valley Girl. I am dying. It
- 1:39Speaker 1: is so spot right and what a throwback those of
- 1:42Speaker 1: you youngins who don't know that it's like when that's
- 1:45Speaker 1: when Nicholas Cage, it's like his first movie popped out.
- 1:50Speaker 3: Wow, that's a that's a really great call.
- 1:53Speaker 1: Isn't that great? And then they also said, like a
- 1:56Speaker 1: little bit of Nick Cage meets Owen Wilson. I'm happy
- 2:01Speaker 1: with just going with Nick Cage. Frankly, I think it's brilliant.
- 2:05Speaker 3: And the Wilson's were there for me, you know, with him,
- 2:09Speaker 3: I've been here Wilson.
- 2:11Speaker 1: Yeah, the brothers Wilson, I see it with the with
- 2:17Speaker 1: the little mouths and stuff for you. Well, Don Bliss,
- 2:22Speaker 1: our resident makeup artist who is absolutely so gifted and talented, said,
- 2:27Speaker 1: because we had a whole discussion on Hoodah's eyelashes last week,
- 2:31Speaker 1: we're just yeah, just really in the weeds with those
- 2:35Speaker 1: literally they're looking like weeds. And and she said that
- 2:39Speaker 1: Hooda looks to have volume lash extensions with a different
- 2:44Speaker 1: breed on the outer corners, like she added feathers on
- 2:48Speaker 1: the end. And that totally tracks because I did notice
- 2:53Speaker 1: that the feathers aren't always there. Perhaps they were cried off,
- 2:57Speaker 1: perhaps they were shouted off, not sure, but they aren't
- 3:01Speaker 1: always there, and so that makes sense now lastly, Caitlyn Darling.
- 3:08Speaker 1: Caitlin said, because we were talking about the opening song
- 3:11Speaker 1: and she clarified that that's Janelle Monet, and this is
- 3:16Speaker 1: what she said, Diana. She said, make like Deanna and
- 3:20Speaker 1: march yourselves right over to your streaming platform of choice
- 3:23Speaker 1: and listen to make me feel stat it's a bop.
- 3:28Speaker 3: Oh, thank you for that shout out, and I will
- 3:32Speaker 3: march myself. I feel I've heard that song before, but
- 3:35Speaker 3: I'm clarity and march myself.
- 3:40Speaker 1: Yes, absolutely, you broke up a little there, but what
- 3:44Speaker 1: I believe you said was you've heard that before, but
- 3:47Speaker 1: you're gonna mark yourself over.
- 3:51Speaker 3: Correct.
- 3:51Speaker 1: So wow, okay, we're going to be jumping around obviously.
- 3:57Speaker 1: You know we're picking up at episode nine when Houdah
- 4:01Speaker 1: and Jeremiah are just making up and you know, she's
- 4:05Speaker 1: kind of pulling her regular stuff, but he's like, you're
- 4:09Speaker 1: so cute, and I'm thinking he finds this endearing. I
- 4:11Speaker 1: don't know how, but he seems okay with it at
- 4:14Speaker 1: this juncture.
- 4:16Speaker 3: That's he likes it and they're in lies where they connect.
- 4:22Speaker 3: He enjoys the drama, yes, he does.
- 4:26Speaker 1: He does enjoy the drama, which I can't figure him out.
- 4:30Speaker 1: But we need to unravel that later on in this episode,
- 4:33Speaker 1: because even up until episode nine, I just can't figure
- 4:37Speaker 1: him out. I just don't get who he is.
- 4:40Speaker 3: I think I have it, and I think the trouble
- 4:43Speaker 3: with why you're struggling is like it's simpler than you
- 4:49Speaker 3: want to maive it. Yeah, okay, it's not as complicated
- 4:53Speaker 3: as you want it to be, in a good way. Honestly,
- 4:57Speaker 3: I think in a refreshing way. I think he's a
- 5:00Speaker 3: little bit of a nerd. I think he likes to read.
- 5:02Speaker 3: I think he likes to He's just stunningly gorgeous, and
- 5:07Speaker 3: so people put a lot on him. But I think
- 5:14Speaker 3: he's a simpleton, a.
- 5:16Speaker 4: Good and a nice but no, no, I know you, no,
- 5:20Speaker 4: but yeah.
- 5:21Speaker 3: But in the best way. I mean that as like
- 5:25Speaker 3: a compliment.
- 5:27Speaker 1: Strangely, I understand. Okay. Now, later on in another episode,
- 5:33Speaker 1: Huda would have should A does confess in the get
- 5:38Speaker 1: ready for the day the night, the bathroom area and
- 5:42Speaker 1: also where they deliver breakfast area that she and Jeremiah
- 5:46Speaker 1: did have sex. But we saw it in episode nine.
- 5:49Speaker 1: I mean, did you see those sheets of bumping Because
- 5:51Speaker 1: I did that. It was real quick shots. So if
- 5:54Speaker 1: you looked away, you missed, And it was a fast penetration.
- 5:59Speaker 1: It was very quick. It was very fast, and it
- 6:01Speaker 1: is not like a dry hump. I'm sorry to say
- 6:03Speaker 1: it so blatantly, so obviously, but that was happening immediately.
- 6:08Speaker 1: And then I'm talking episode nine. Okay, we are like
- 6:11Speaker 1: what eleven days in at this point, and they are
- 6:14Speaker 1: up in that bed and they're they're bunking and bumping.
- 6:17Speaker 1: So then Hudah goes and tells Nick that she has
- 6:24Speaker 1: a child. Now this is the first little hmmm, Houdah. No,
- 6:30Speaker 1: it's not the first hoddah, because we've already been somebodo,
- 6:35Speaker 1: so many hoodahs, so many mudahs. But she had already
- 6:38Speaker 1: been you know, Nick was calling her out for being
- 6:41Speaker 1: like having an agenda, being there for another you know whatever. Right,
- 6:45Speaker 1: So she knew this because Jeremiah was all up in
- 6:47Speaker 1: his head and she finally he finally had to tell her.
- 6:51Speaker 1: So he was like, let me go talk to him.
- 6:53Speaker 1: I know what I'll do. I know how to fix this.
- 6:55Speaker 1: I'll tell him I have a child. That'll fix everything,
- 6:57Speaker 1: that'll change his opinion of me. So she sits down, like,
- 7:00Speaker 1: I have a child, and he's like, cool, No, I'm
- 7:04Speaker 1: a sperm donut.
- 7:08Speaker 3: That exchange when she was like I'm a mommy and
- 7:14Speaker 3: he was like, ma, she was right, it was like mama.
- 7:21Speaker 3: And he was like like it was some strangers. He
- 7:26Speaker 3: was like mommy, mommy, and she was like my mama
- 7:30Speaker 3: and he was like it was we finally got to it.
- 7:40Speaker 3: But Lord, have mercy.
- 7:42Speaker 1: I mean, I was like, is she get a motor
- 7:43Speaker 1: boat him? Right now? And then finally get to it.
- 7:46Speaker 1: What is happening? I'm like, time's up, you guys. Stop.
- 7:50Speaker 1: She has a baby, a child, a real person, you idiot.
- 7:56Speaker 3: Oh these and that's when you know these first of
- 7:59Speaker 3: all to be like I'm a mammy, Like it's just
- 8:06Speaker 3: it's a mister act. You know. I gotta give him
- 8:08Speaker 3: a little bit on that. But so.
- 8:13Speaker 1: She's like I have a I'm a mommy. He's like, yeah,
- 8:19Speaker 1: he's coming for me. Are we exploring are we exploring options?
- 8:25Speaker 3: We were doing some sort of word exchange that was
- 8:30Speaker 3: very odd.
- 8:32Speaker 1: You thought it was a word game. I'm in pain.
- 8:39Speaker 1: And then so and she just holds it like she
- 8:44Speaker 1: just gave like the state of the Union addressed, just
- 8:47Speaker 1: and she's just killing it. In the first hundred days,
- 8:49Speaker 1: the way that she She's just like, yep, I did this,
- 8:52Speaker 1: and now I've got your vote right for the next term. Yeah, okay,
- 8:56Speaker 1: good like she has used her child. I am sorry,
- 9:00Speaker 1: but as the kids say these days, she is just
- 9:03Speaker 1: weaponizing this child left and right and right and left,
- 9:07Speaker 1: and honey, don't come to this villa and act in
- 9:10Speaker 1: such a way. So he moving on from that. I
- 9:15Speaker 1: did love Ace teaching dance and Taylor and oleandrah Olandria
- 9:22Speaker 1: finally having like a spontaneous makeout, and I thought, well,
- 9:26Speaker 1: this is going in the right direction. But you know,
- 9:30Speaker 1: too little, too late, Too little too late, buddy. I'm sorry, Taylor,
- 9:34Speaker 1: you weren't there from the jump and you're not going
- 9:37Speaker 1: to be there in the end.
- 9:39Speaker 3: It's hard. It's hard truths. You know. I have warmed
- 9:46Speaker 3: to him in a tremendous way as the as the
- 9:50Speaker 3: episodes have unrolled. But I think he's a delight, like
- 9:55Speaker 3: a genuine but but you know, you have Battie and
- 10:01Speaker 3: at some point you needed to like put some swerve
- 10:07Speaker 3: down on her.
- 10:09Speaker 1: Is he a cowboy or is he a cow I
- 10:13Speaker 1: don't know what's happening.
- 10:14Speaker 3: No, he just think he's under experienced.
- 10:20Speaker 1: Yeah, I guess, but why is he on the island?
- 10:23Speaker 1: Why is he there? It's very strange. When he did
- 10:26Speaker 1: not go home. I was like, y'all don't know what's
- 10:30Speaker 1: going on on this island. He should have gone home,
- 10:35Speaker 1: period dot No. Okay, all right, we'll get there.
- 10:38Speaker 3: I'm sorry. I don't disagree with you, but I do
- 10:44Speaker 3: think they have something. I think she really all right, well,
- 10:48Speaker 3: well she likes a cowboy. He fits the bill on that.
- 10:52Speaker 3: I think they have a well, now, Amy, they have
- 10:55Speaker 3: a nice.
- 10:56Speaker 1: Oh, go ahead, go ahead.
- 10:58Speaker 3: No, they have a nice friendship and and I think
- 11:02Speaker 3: they have a really nice connection in terms of like
- 11:07Speaker 3: a building block. It's just that this isn't that environment
- 11:11Speaker 3: like you've gotta.
- 11:12Speaker 4: Yes, get try that saddle, expedite, expedite, like we don't
- 11:18Speaker 4: have the time, the hours on the clock to.
- 11:24Speaker 2: Do this.
- 11:25Speaker 3: And in a.
- 11:25Speaker 1: Sense like mile run, this is one hundred yard dash
- 11:28Speaker 1: even if that like I got in the game. But
- 11:31Speaker 1: I just don't think that they've got the chemistry I
- 11:33Speaker 1: thought they did from the get go. All right, so
- 11:37Speaker 1: we will circle back to them. Okay, but the leather
- 11:41Speaker 1: and lace party and the bombshells Pepe and Jalen and
- 11:45Speaker 1: then later Iris Mama Sita. Now this is where you're
- 11:50Speaker 1: gonna be saying, Mama Mamasita, what a game.
- 11:56Speaker 3: I You know, Pepe has my full attention regards wardless
- 12:00Speaker 3: of if I think he's a nice person or not.
- 12:03Speaker 3: He is like my Miguel, like these I would fall
- 12:07Speaker 3: apart with either of these types on the island. It
- 12:10Speaker 3: would be like curtains for me.
- 12:13Speaker 1: That's turn that X around on whoever's on the other side.
- 12:19Speaker 1: Let's go.
- 12:20Speaker 3: Let's go.
- 12:22Speaker 1: Arianna with the dark hair and the red leather looked
- 12:25Speaker 1: absolutely stunning and people the islanders lost their minds as
- 12:31Speaker 1: well they should. So she's got these.
- 12:34Speaker 3: Entrances down pat you know, she's made for it. She's
- 12:39Speaker 3: built for it. It's it's correct. She keeps delivering quite frankly,
- 12:48Speaker 3: and her like when she had to come in that
- 12:51Speaker 3: last season, the second to last episode and like be
- 12:55Speaker 3: tough as nails with them, I was like, Oh, she's
- 12:57Speaker 3: scaring me, you know, because she was not giving any emotion.
- 13:01Speaker 3: She was just she knew she had to break hearts
- 13:04Speaker 3: and she was.
- 13:05Speaker 1: Steady and fierce.
- 13:09Speaker 3: Yeah, you know this challenge.
- 13:14Speaker 1: I was like, I would hate this hosting job. I
- 13:17Speaker 1: would never do it. I would hate doing it. I
- 13:20Speaker 1: would hate it having to be like ooh oh wow, spicy,
- 13:27Speaker 1: am I good? Do you want to get the band?
- 13:30Speaker 1: I just could not. I could never take it. Seriously,
- 13:35Speaker 1: I could not do it. I could not do it.
- 13:37Speaker 4: Wow.
- 13:38Speaker 3: See, I think she is genuinely enjoying it.
- 13:42Speaker 1: She no, she's perfect for it. And that's what I mean, Like,
- 13:45Speaker 1: I what she's doing. I can't stand for myself.
- 13:49Speaker 3: I understand never never, but.
- 13:52Speaker 1: Thank goodness, you know you've got people who can do
- 13:54Speaker 1: that because it is not me.
- 13:57Speaker 3: Well, she's a long time of the show for years
- 14:01Speaker 3: and years, So I think she genuinely like, can't believe
- 14:06Speaker 3: she's there bearing witness in real time. And that's great
- 14:10Speaker 3: for the show.
- 14:11Speaker 1: It really is. And you can tell she's invested.
- 14:14Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean she's great.
- 14:16Speaker 1: She might be like Kristin Kish on Top Chef and
- 14:19Speaker 1: just start crying when these people leave. I mean she
- 14:22Speaker 1: did a little bit last year, a little bit she
- 14:24Speaker 1: did kind of cry. I remember that. Yes, so well,
- 14:28Speaker 1: Pepe has his eyes on Hannah and Sierra and Jalen
- 14:32Speaker 1: wants Landria so and then of course we hear that
- 14:37Speaker 1: Iris wants Jeremiah and Nick. So that's kind of who
- 14:40Speaker 1: they're honing in on. They all make out Hudah is
- 14:46Speaker 1: like breaking her neck to look around the X, which
- 14:49Speaker 1: is just don't look, don't do it, don't do it.
- 14:52Speaker 3: She can't help herself chat that she can't do that.
- 14:57Speaker 3: I'm not even gonna ding her on because it's you know,
- 15:01Speaker 3: she's got a lot on her plate that we need
- 15:03Speaker 3: to sort through. I'm gonna let her crane her neck. Yeah, okay,
- 15:06Speaker 3: all right, we'll let her go on that. And then
- 15:08Speaker 3: and the cabin too. You're okay with her craning her
- 15:10Speaker 3: neck and going practically into falling into the full on
- 15:14Speaker 3: doing a Luwandella steps into the bushes to see what
- 15:17Speaker 3: was going on with him in the cabin. Yeah, okay,
- 15:21Speaker 3: I'll let her know that.
- 15:23Speaker 1: Okay, well, we can give her those because it doesn't
- 15:26Speaker 1: matter anyway, she's gonna lose her shit. So so now
- 15:31Speaker 1: hoo Us sits Jeremiah down and is like, I need
- 15:36Speaker 1: you to do more for me. I need you to
- 15:38Speaker 1: like do more. And this is after she's obviously told
- 15:43Speaker 1: him that she has a child, and so he's like
- 15:46Speaker 1: he loves a little like a huff and Puffy loves
- 15:52Speaker 1: he because he doesn't know how to handle it.
- 15:55Speaker 3: No, because she's out of ten, He's never prepared.
- 16:00Speaker 1: He's got me doing it. So now he's like, are
- 16:03Speaker 1: you dead ass? I've been prompt which, by the way,
- 16:06Speaker 1: the dead ass counter is up at one thousand and
- 16:09Speaker 1: two right now, the amount of times they're like are
- 16:12Speaker 1: you dead ass? Dead ass?
- 16:14Speaker 3: Bro not to like do a quick plug. But it's
- 16:19Speaker 3: amazing watching this season because so many of the phrases
- 16:24Speaker 3: and things that we do at how to Be less
- 16:26Speaker 3: Old that I've learned over the last year Yes, are
- 16:29Speaker 3: presenting themselves and I'm actually getting to see them in
- 16:33Speaker 3: the why, like how they're meant to be used and.
- 16:37Speaker 1: How to be like old. It is a podcast, it
- 16:40Speaker 1: is a sub stack, and it is about how to
- 16:42Speaker 1: be less old. You cover lingo of the young ones,
- 16:46Speaker 1: and so is dead ass? What are some other ones
- 16:48Speaker 1: that they've been doing in this like.
- 16:50Speaker 3: Crash She's crashing out? Crashing out? Is been this yere
- 16:55Speaker 3: aura points? Like they're talking about their aura points going
- 16:59Speaker 3: up and down.
- 17:00Speaker 1: See I missed that entirely.
- 17:02Speaker 3: No, Yes, someone was like, I'm totally stripped of my aura.
- 17:05Speaker 3: I think it was no no, yes, because I jotted
- 17:11Speaker 3: them down because I'm gonna do a post about it.
- 17:13Speaker 3: So I have up here, you know, type shit. Have
- 17:18Speaker 3: you heard that type shit? So if we.
- 17:22Speaker 1: You know, well, we'll just we'll listen to the podcast.
- 17:26Speaker 1: We'll just yeah, leave us hang.
- 17:28Speaker 3: Out less old dot substack dot com. But type shit
- 17:31Speaker 3: is like one of them, period obviously, period, you know period.
- 17:39Speaker 1: How about we don't want to.
- 17:40Speaker 3: Do that, though.
- 17:42Speaker 1: We don't want to do that though, Joe Joe and
- 17:47Speaker 1: I know though has been around for a long time,
- 17:49Speaker 1: but no.
- 17:50Speaker 3: But it's still this this jargon thing. And the first episode,
- 17:55Speaker 3: I mean, Orlandria has very much settled into the season,
- 18:00Speaker 3: but the first two episodes, I was like, she's jargoning
- 18:03Speaker 3: me right off screen, right into ocean speak. Please speak
- 18:09Speaker 3: in a proper like, just like non jargon, for give
- 18:13Speaker 3: me one beat of it, you know, not on Love
- 18:15Speaker 3: Island and also the way especially hood, I mean, you
- 18:19Speaker 3: always have one and I'm trying to I can't remember
- 18:22Speaker 3: who it was last year on Love Island, but there's
- 18:25Speaker 3: always one that swears when it is it is just
- 18:29Speaker 3: gratuitous language.
- 18:31Speaker 1: The most explicit language, even in kindness, even in kindness,
- 18:35Speaker 1: you know, reading another gal another bombshell, bitch, you fucking
- 18:40Speaker 1: can't bitch, you look gorgeous, disgusting bitch. Sloh came here, bitch,
- 18:46Speaker 1: bitch up in here, bitch but there last year?
- 18:50Speaker 3: Was it? Leah?
- 18:51Speaker 1: Okay, it was definitely one of them.
- 18:54Speaker 3: Like fuck bitch. Yeah, there was a lot of ess.
- 18:57Speaker 1: Yeah, and I'm like, ladies. One of them said that,
- 19:03Speaker 1: let's you know. I mean, I do enjoy it. I
- 19:05Speaker 1: have to say I do love it, but I laughed
- 19:08Speaker 1: at some point when someone tried to say to Hoo
- 19:10Speaker 1: to just keep it classy. Somebody said keep it classy.
- 19:17Speaker 3: They as a team, they try to envelop her into
- 19:20Speaker 3: a sense of calm, and he's like, please, you are America.
- 19:25Speaker 3: We got to get into America. But we'll give it
- 19:27Speaker 3: a sack.
- 19:28Speaker 1: But yeah, we're almost there. Because these are some good
- 19:30Speaker 1: broad strokes. Huda asked Jeremiah to do more, and he's like,
- 19:34Speaker 1: I've been processing a lot. You have a whole kid,
- 19:37Speaker 1: And I just thought, e ouch, that that was rough.
- 19:41Speaker 1: I didn't like that at all from him. However, he's
- 19:45Speaker 1: audishing it back to her the way that she's given
- 19:46Speaker 1: it to him, and I can't. I always I'm.
- 19:50Speaker 3: Not going to ding them a hundred percent. But I
- 19:51Speaker 3: did think it was rude. I did think it was rude.
- 19:54Speaker 3: You know, yes, it is rude. I mean I am
- 20:00Speaker 3: looking inward at some of my arguments with my husband
- 20:03Speaker 3: because I feel sometimes I can roll steamroll him a
- 20:07Speaker 3: little bit. And I'm who has got me looking inward?
- 20:12Speaker 3: You know what I mean? Because I'm like, Okay, I
- 20:15Speaker 3: don't want to do that. You know, you don't to
- 20:20Speaker 3: be wondering. How many people are looking inside?
- 20:22Speaker 1: I think a lot. I think, yeah, everyone can relate
- 20:26Speaker 1: with Hudah because even though we may not act out
- 20:29Speaker 1: and say the things that Huda says or do the
- 20:32Speaker 1: things that Hooda does, we're feeling it on the inside
- 20:36Speaker 1: or we've been there, like I know that jealousy, you know,
- 20:41Speaker 1: the insecurity, but hers is on a hyper level that
- 20:47Speaker 1: a lot of people cannot relate with. But that being said,
- 20:52Speaker 1: when they are lying in bed and you just see
- 20:55Speaker 1: the subtitles and he and she's like, would you share
- 20:59Speaker 1: your location with me? I was like, Kristen, doty is
- 21:05Speaker 1: that you.
- 21:08Speaker 3: Love to put those two together? Oh and and Jeremiah
- 21:11Speaker 3: is like, I don't like that. I mean, he is
- 21:17Speaker 3: being honest.
- 21:19Speaker 1: You know if you are in a serious relationship, if
- 21:21Speaker 1: you are to that point, you know, that's the time
- 21:24Speaker 1: to ask. Not right then and there. I'm sorry, it's
- 21:27Speaker 1: just too soon. Go to bed soon.
- 21:30Speaker 3: I had to just deny my sister a few months ago.
- 21:33Speaker 1: Wow, that's hard, she's saying.
- 21:35Speaker 3: She enjoys she has in a discussion, and she likes
- 21:39Speaker 3: following some of her friends. She's like, can I have yours?
- 21:41Speaker 3: And I'm like no, It's like Dody Doty follows, she
- 21:45Speaker 3: follows me.
- 21:45Speaker 1: I gave her my location. I mean, what the hell
- 21:47Speaker 1: is stopping?
- 21:48Speaker 4: No?
- 21:48Speaker 1: I did not, of course not, but she loves it.
- 21:51Speaker 1: That's her passion in life. Oh my god, I'm so
- 21:56Speaker 1: sorry it is You're so right.
- 22:00Speaker 3: It's she But Dody gives big you know.
- 22:04Speaker 2: Watch big location, big tracking energy, right.
- 22:15Speaker 1: But without consent, you know, like Senas is with consent,
- 22:19Speaker 1: Dotie's is without consent. Doty's gonna hack into your phone
- 22:23Speaker 1: and go grab that location information, where sheen is like,
- 22:25Speaker 1: do you mind sharing this with me?
- 22:27Speaker 3: Thanks?
- 22:27Speaker 1: Bye, here, just connect our phones, bump at your mind. Okay,
- 22:30Speaker 1: nice to meet you. Okay, Okay, that was very funny.
- 22:39Speaker 1: So Houdah giving him a hickey to mark her territory
- 22:44Speaker 1: and she's like, bitch, no, I didn't do that, Like
- 22:46Speaker 1: I didn't fucking hickey up your neck, bitch, fucking but
- 22:50Speaker 1: you know. Like, but then they have this fight at
- 22:54Speaker 1: breakfast about the he's delivering her breakfast. The first thing
- 22:58Speaker 1: she says to him, no protein. Now, I hear you.
- 23:03Speaker 1: I don't want to breakfast without protein. Same, but I'm
- 23:06Speaker 1: not gonna say that. I'm not gonna say that. I'm
- 23:08Speaker 1: gonna get my own ass downstairs and cook up some bacon.
- 23:11Speaker 1: I'm gonna go downstairs and get a protein shake. I'm
- 23:13Speaker 1: not gonna look a gift horse in the mouth and
- 23:15Speaker 1: be like, no protein. You don't know him like that, Oh,
- 23:19Speaker 1: I mean rude.
- 23:23Speaker 3: She is trying to wrangle him into what she wants.
- 23:31Speaker 3: But I think with Houda, you're never gonna get there.
- 23:36Speaker 3: I think that Huda is trying to craft this ideal guy.
- 23:42Speaker 3: She's like, I'm gonna I got him, And I think
- 23:45Speaker 3: she does this throughout her life with every relationship. It's
- 23:48Speaker 3: like I got him, I'm gonna gaslight him into submission,
- 23:53Speaker 3: and I'm gonna move the post every time I lock
- 23:57Speaker 3: in what I want. You're never gonna I really win.
- 24:02Speaker 1: No, And that's hard, that's toxic and unhealthy. And I
- 24:10Speaker 1: feel bad for her because I think she's a very
- 24:13Speaker 1: hurt person. And that's really what I think it comes
- 24:16Speaker 1: down to, because the way that she moves in this
- 24:20Speaker 1: relationship is what No.
- 24:24Speaker 3: That's also like a phrase that that's a young person.
- 24:28Speaker 1: Phrase, which one.
- 24:30Speaker 3: The way that like, I see the way you're moving here, you.
- 24:35Speaker 1: Know, yeah, the way she moves. So yes, it's the
- 24:40Speaker 1: way that she's interacting in this situation that is calling
- 24:46Speaker 1: for It's ringing the alarm bells of all of the
- 24:50Speaker 1: insecurities that she has, all of the I hate dare
- 24:54Speaker 1: I say, trauma and baggage and you know, desire to
- 25:00Speaker 1: be loved and seen and wanted. And it is just
- 25:06Speaker 1: she is coming in with a lot of an empty
- 25:10Speaker 1: bucket that will will never be filled until she addresses
- 25:16Speaker 1: her issues. Holy Molly love tank on e uh huh Yeah.
- 25:26Speaker 1: So before we get to uh got would and the

- 29:35Speaker 1: we are back talking Love Island. We're talking episodes nine
- 29:39Speaker 1: through thirteen. I'm with Deanna Mchang, host of the Substack
- 29:45Speaker 1: and podcast How to Be Less Old, And we've got
- 29:49Speaker 1: Iris here. Who is pulling everyone. I'm gonna pull you.
- 29:53Speaker 1: I'm gonna pull I'm gonna go ahead and pull Jeremiah.
- 29:55Speaker 1: I'm gonna poll Charlie. I'm gonna poll Nick. I'm a
- 29:58Speaker 1: poll Ace. She's pulling people left right. She's just pulling,
- 30:02Speaker 1: and she's pulling. Everyone likes her all the guys are
- 30:05Speaker 1: like loving iris. They can I can frankly see a
- 30:09Speaker 1: lot of them with her, and I can see her
- 30:11Speaker 1: with a lot of them, So I think it was
- 30:13Speaker 1: an interesting little mix up.
- 30:16Speaker 3: Yes, No, she's a you know, she's a She deserves
- 30:20Speaker 3: to be there, she deserves to be a bombshell. I
- 30:22Speaker 3: very much see her and Jeremiah as very well matched
- 30:28Speaker 3: in regards to personality. They are both gorgeous and very
- 30:35Speaker 3: low key, you know, right, and just not eaten up
- 30:42Speaker 3: with charisma ultimately.
- 30:45Speaker 1: Or rage, you know, or rage, just say it plainly. So,
- 30:51Speaker 1: oh and Hannah see Pepa had his eyes on Hannah,
- 30:54Speaker 1: and they go up and they make it out, and
- 30:57Speaker 1: they make it out and they make it out, and
- 30:58Speaker 1: I was like, mama's mama.
- 31:02Speaker 3: Yeah that was that. I'm sweating right now like that
- 31:06Speaker 3: he you know, he got in there, you know, he
- 31:11Speaker 3: really did. And she was like up for it and
- 31:13Speaker 3: down for it and too little, too late with Charlie.
- 31:18Speaker 1: Sorry, it's not gonna happen, right. So but we Hannah
- 31:25Speaker 1: does tell Charlie that she and Pepe make out and
- 31:28Speaker 1: he's like, no, it's all right, it's cool, right, you
- 31:31Speaker 1: know here, what we want to do? Oh, my cool woman.
- 31:34Speaker 3: And then he walks away. It's just like, shoot, oh
- 31:36Speaker 3: who's here? Maya?
- 31:37Speaker 1: Can I pull you?
- 31:38Speaker 3: All?
- 31:39Speaker 1: Right? So we got feelings, right, we give this a
- 31:41Speaker 1: can we get this a go? Can you give this
- 31:43Speaker 1: a go? She's like, bro, what are you doing?
- 31:47Speaker 3: She's like, poor thing I did. She did break my
- 31:51Speaker 3: heart because she is such a disaster. But I truly
- 31:59Speaker 3: she's a disaster. But I truly she won my heart
- 32:03Speaker 3: over because she is a sweetheart and a disaster, you know, like,
- 32:09Speaker 3: and I just I she got me. She won me
- 32:13Speaker 3: over this episode. I'm like, this girl is such a doll,
- 32:16Speaker 3: even though she needs just a lot of help. You know.
- 32:25Speaker 1: I was like really on a journey with her when
- 32:28Speaker 1: Charlie was trying to see if he could get somewhere
- 32:31Speaker 1: with her, clearly to make Hannah jealous, right, yeah, he did,
- 32:37Speaker 1: was actually see feeling Okay.
- 32:39Speaker 3: No, he was just like grabbing at branches on the way.
- 32:43Speaker 1: He was pulling. He was pulling when he could pull,
- 32:45Speaker 1: you know, trying. I mean it was like supermarket sweepy.
- 32:48Speaker 1: He was just running through those aisles like.
- 32:52Speaker 3: Ken Good's, well we go, oh let's go to Frozens. Shit,
- 32:57Speaker 3: Oh my gold Hannah's making out again, grab something, and
- 33:00Speaker 3: time was to stop.
- 33:01Speaker 1: What am I gonna make?
- 33:03Speaker 3: Am?
- 33:03Speaker 2: I like?
- 33:06Speaker 1: And then I'm like, wait, you're crying now because you
- 33:09Speaker 1: do have feelings for him? Like, wait, what's happening on
- 33:11Speaker 1: your end?
- 33:13Speaker 3: I think she's crying because she has been so disrespected
- 33:18Speaker 3: since she has walked onto this island and she's trying
- 33:20Speaker 3: to keep her wits about her and her little Dominican
- 33:23Speaker 3: cute head up high, you know, and she she's getting ghosted, yeah,
- 33:30Speaker 3: roasted and toasted. Yeah. And I think having someone come
- 33:34Speaker 3: to her with feelings in juxtaposed to not being able
- 33:40Speaker 3: to do a thing about it, but someone just saying
- 33:43Speaker 3: I think we have something was emotional, even though she
- 33:47Speaker 3: knew it was like completely not right. I think she
- 33:52Speaker 3: was like this Ace, Oh, I can't wait for Anna
- 33:57Speaker 3: get this Ace, like America.
- 34:01Speaker 1: Do America do your thing on Ace right?
- 34:04Speaker 3: Because oh he is the most toxic. Hudah is like
- 34:09Speaker 3: toxic presenting but Ace and I, you know, I hope
- 34:16Speaker 3: they find someone for her. I really do for a Amiya,
- 34:22Speaker 3: Amaya Amaya, because I just I just want her to
- 34:27Speaker 3: have a some sweet before she goes, you know, I
- 34:30Speaker 3: want her to have some cute and sweet. She's cute girl,
- 34:33Speaker 3: you know.
- 34:33Speaker 1: Let you know what she got that was real sweet,
- 34:36Speaker 1: the last vote to send his asshome. But she's like,
- 34:45Speaker 1: you tried to come for me, and I don't know
- 34:47Speaker 1: if it was real or not, but even if it was,
- 34:50Speaker 1: I don't want to see you with Hannah. But even
- 34:52Speaker 1: so if it wasn't, then you're gonna go home bye.
- 34:59Speaker 3: Which gives our points. Went up for me in that
- 35:02Speaker 3: because I'm like, yes, it was a weird move. It was,
- 35:08Speaker 3: and you clocked it and you sent him home.
- 35:11Speaker 1: Good on you. Absolutely, yeah, even though I was sad, okay.
- 35:20Speaker 3: Even though I think it's the great love was you know, demolished,
- 35:24Speaker 3: and but.
- 35:26Speaker 1: I gave him like areg and move Okay. So for Austin,
- 35:34Speaker 1: Nick Cage is just like, oh, look, I'm.
- 35:38Speaker 3: Just getting real frustrated here and you're trying to do
- 35:40Speaker 3: yoga and Shelley's not seeing me and the old guy
- 35:43Speaker 3: ate that guy.
- 35:45Speaker 1: What am I gonna do? So he's just like going
- 35:48Speaker 1: up to Shelley, not knowing which way to go. He's
- 35:51Speaker 1: just getting real in his head and then he and
- 35:56Speaker 1: then Ace tells Shelley that he wants to explore I
- 36:00Speaker 1: and Shelley's like, oh my god. First I've got these
- 36:02Speaker 1: two guys, I'm trying to balance and I'm starting to
- 36:05Speaker 1: move towards Ace and now he's like, okay, Iris is here,
- 36:09Speaker 1: so I'm going to go for that.
- 36:12Speaker 3: Somehow, Shelley is like the most just high quality gal
- 36:19Speaker 3: on the island. You know, she's just the winner in
- 36:23Speaker 3: my humble opinion, in terms of the girls, and you know,
- 36:26Speaker 3: who has the most going on, the most beautiful. Like,
- 36:29Speaker 3: I just think she's.
- 36:30Speaker 1: Every side and out. Yeah, I agree.
- 36:32Speaker 3: She's smart, she's collected, she's got emotional intelligence, she's stunning,
- 36:38Speaker 3: she's funny. You know, there's what's the problem. She can
- 36:42Speaker 3: navigate conflict beautifully, and somehow we're losing her in this
- 36:49Speaker 3: shuffle of like all of this, and yeah, I America
- 36:54Speaker 3: cannot allow her an Ace to be endgame like we've got.
- 36:59Speaker 3: America has to look alive and deal with him because like,
- 37:02Speaker 3: I need someone correct for her to come through. And
- 37:04Speaker 3: it may be a female. Ps, okay, it may be
- 37:07Speaker 3: a female. Oh really you get that vibe from Shelley.
- 37:11Speaker 3: Well she said she's bisexual. Oh I forgot, And I
- 37:17Speaker 3: don't know what at these you know, Austin and her no.
- 37:22Speaker 3: Also he has his body count as like one hundred
- 37:26Speaker 3: and fifty or whatever. It was like you seem to
- 37:30Speaker 3: have enough experience in the bank to know how to
- 37:33Speaker 3: make a move on Shelley, Like what's going on here?
- 37:36Speaker 3: It's just this island and like you know, its just
- 37:39Speaker 3: your gosh, the yoga, I don't know, okay, oh man,
- 37:51Speaker 3: Charlotte grows. So then Charlie's like, or with the Maya
- 37:56Speaker 3: goal go over here, I'll find someone else, and I
- 37:58Speaker 3: pull I reci o iras yea npula. And then Hannah
- 38:02Speaker 3: is so pissed because she's like pepe puld me. I
- 38:05Speaker 3: didn't pull him, because pepe puld me we totally just
- 38:08Speaker 3: completely enveloped each other in each other's mouths. But he
- 38:12Speaker 3: pulled me, so like why is he pulling her? These
- 38:15Speaker 3: girls really, their double standards are epic. It's good on
- 38:20Speaker 3: like God bless you know. I yes, when I go
- 38:23Speaker 3: through enough, you know good good? Sure have fun.
- 38:26Speaker 1: So now we get to got Wood, which is a
- 38:29Speaker 1: very very fun game where I started to question if
- 38:34Speaker 1: this Olandria was gonna be okay from this, and I
- 38:39Speaker 1: thought they should have put a stop to it. To
- 38:41Speaker 1: be quite honest. I started to get uncomfortable me too,
- 38:45Speaker 1: like what the fuck?
- 38:47Speaker 3: It got very demented. It wasn't okay, it was okay.
- 38:52Speaker 3: No no, no, no, no, no, no, not okay.
- 38:56Speaker 1: And one, not one guy in there said, like I
- 39:00Speaker 1: would say, maybe the third or fourth guy should have
- 39:03Speaker 1: been like, do you want to take a break?
- 39:07Speaker 3: Can I get another beaver please? Page? Yeah, Page, I'd
- 39:12Speaker 3: like to repull a beaver if you don't mind. I
- 39:15Speaker 3: love another beaver pull if possible.
- 39:18Speaker 1: Why are we putting on beaver's back in the basket.
- 39:23Speaker 1: Once a beaver is done, can we retire the beaver?
- 39:28Speaker 3: It wasn't okay. It started making me sick.
- 39:31Speaker 1: Yeah, okay, I'm glad that you felt that way because
- 39:34Speaker 1: and I would like to have heard a little bit
- 39:37Speaker 1: more from her, meaning like, hey, I that was the
- 39:41Speaker 1: greatest time of my life. I'll never have that experience again.
- 39:44Speaker 1: And at any point I could have said no, and
- 39:47Speaker 1: I just didn't want to, you know it just that
- 39:49Speaker 1: would have probably put my mind a little bit at
- 39:51Speaker 1: ease instead of like she.
- 39:55Speaker 3: Looks shell shocked. She looked shell shocked. She was like
- 39:58Speaker 3: coming out of that cabin like it was too much gross.
- 40:04Speaker 1: So yeah, and you know Page by the way, so
- 40:08Speaker 1: great to see Page disorbo popping out. And I really
- 40:13Speaker 1: can see her being the next host of Love Island
- 40:15Speaker 1: after Ariana. I mean, I could see her doing it
- 40:17Speaker 1: next season.
- 40:19Speaker 3: I mean, what a great audition. You know, she did great.
- 40:25Speaker 3: I was concerned for her swede bib turtleneck under boob situation.
- 40:32Speaker 1: I was like, and the sun directly in her eyes.
- 40:37Speaker 3: Just didn't seem to breathe. I mean, under boobs were sorted.
- 40:42Speaker 3: But I just felt like, what an odd material choice.
- 40:47Speaker 1: It made me hot, Oh my god, and not in
- 40:50Speaker 1: a good way, like, no, not the Love Island hot
- 40:53Speaker 1: like and by the way, for those of you who
- 40:56Speaker 1: don't know this, women sweat under the under boob, So
- 41:01Speaker 1: how are we not like dripping down our spray tan
- 41:04Speaker 1: on our ebs.
- 41:06Speaker 3: It was it was the only thing that just threw
- 41:10Speaker 3: me for such a loop. And I was I was
- 41:12Speaker 3: kind of stealing focused for me with Paige. But I
- 41:15Speaker 3: thought she did a great job. And I was like,
- 41:17Speaker 3: what is this material you've chosen to drag to Fiji?
- 41:22Speaker 1: Yeah it was. It wasn't an ultrasuade.
- 41:25Speaker 3: It might have been an ultrous way.
- 41:27Speaker 1: Okay, also did you notice that she was not there
- 41:33Speaker 1: for the end of the game, like she left at
- 41:35Speaker 1: some point and the announcer had to be like, no,
- 41:39Speaker 1: I'm a host in the game, you know, or whatever
- 41:41Speaker 1: how he pretty says it.
- 41:44Speaker 3: So I didn't notice that, but I did go on
- 41:47Speaker 3: Twitter and they showed me the way. You know. I
- 41:52Speaker 3: didn't notice it on my own, but someone or maybe
- 41:57Speaker 3: it was TikTok, but someone said that what they the
- 42:02Speaker 3: log roll thing that wasn't very wasn't used every time. Yeah,
- 42:07Speaker 3: and then we see Hannah does have a bandage on.
- 42:10Speaker 1: Yeah, that's right.
- 42:13Speaker 3: Oh, so like I think there might have been an accident.
- 42:17Speaker 1: Oh my god, and.
- 42:19Speaker 3: Like Hannah had to go. That was the conspiracy that
- 42:23Speaker 3: I saw somewhere.
- 42:25Speaker 1: That makes sense. Yeah, that looked so dangerous. I am sorry.
- 42:34Speaker 1: Safety first, Safety first, they could have they have to
- 42:38Speaker 1: make out on that log How did they not I'm
- 42:41Speaker 1: sorry there could have been mouth injuries beyond I am yeah,
- 42:46Speaker 1: fed up right now? Love Island reckless, This whole this
- 42:52Speaker 1: whole game with Olandria going back in so many times,
- 42:56Speaker 1: and then that log thing thing sorry thing, yeah, no, no, okay, no,
- 43:06Speaker 1: all right, let's move on.
- 43:07Speaker 3: So I did write I'm seeing Alandrey needs hazard pay.
- 43:13Speaker 3: So I guess I was very much you know, she
- 43:17Speaker 3: did need a bump after that at the very very
- 43:22Speaker 3: very least. Okay, okay, yeah, I say, get her beaver
- 43:26Speaker 3: out of the damn basket. Amy. You know a couple
- 43:28Speaker 3: of days ago, want you know, yes, I'm with you.
- 43:31Speaker 3: I forgot I was this mad.
- 43:32Speaker 1: Yes, yes, thank you, thank you? Yeah. All right. So
- 43:38Speaker 1: now Hannah and Charlie come together, and this is after
- 43:41Speaker 1: another makeout sessh that Hannah had with Pepe, and so
- 43:46Speaker 1: she comes to him and says like, hey, look, I'm
- 43:49Speaker 1: sorry for acting irrationally, and I realize nothing is better
- 43:54Speaker 1: than being with you. We are the full package. I like,
- 43:59Speaker 1: want to be with you. Done deal. And Charlie's like,
- 44:01Speaker 1: oh a, totally regret what I did in the Wonka factory. Sorry, no,
- 44:06Speaker 1: I'm just kidding. And then so then they're like together,
- 44:09Speaker 1: they're better than ever. And then we get to dun
- 44:15Speaker 1: Dun dune. America has voted on the recoupling and how
- 44:20Speaker 1: bad did you lose? Your mind? Lost?
- 44:24Speaker 3: My mouth was a jar the whole time. I was like, America,
- 44:32Speaker 3: you are the messiest bombshell of them all, because you
- 44:38Speaker 3: came in America, come through America. You are so messy,
- 44:46Speaker 3: like whoa.
- 44:47Speaker 1: Whoa, whoa America. You done got real messy. You'll sexy
- 44:52Speaker 1: little America sexy.
- 44:54Speaker 3: I mean once they start talking about America like they
- 44:59Speaker 3: are like an another character, which it was. Oh yes,
- 45:03Speaker 3: it's so comical.
- 45:06Speaker 1: It is, And I wanted the next bombshell should be
- 45:09Speaker 1: like sexy statue of Liberty.
- 45:12Speaker 3: Yes, and just like just spout out all the tweets
- 45:16Speaker 3: and things that America is dealing with right now. I
- 45:19Speaker 3: guess that happens America comes through at the movie night.
- 45:23Speaker 3: You know, that's where you really get to see America.
- 45:26Speaker 1: But this, and you know what, America saved the season
- 45:31Speaker 1: because this was rolling out real slow, like gravy. Oh wow, okay,
- 45:38Speaker 1: I thought I thought that things didn't get good until
- 45:40Speaker 1: twelve and thirteen.
- 45:42Speaker 3: You're right, and you have to think to yourself, well,
- 45:45Speaker 3: that's a lot of episodes. That's a full season of
- 45:48Speaker 3: most shows actually extra.
- 45:50Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, totally that and now here we are. I'm like, America, bitch, America,
- 45:57Speaker 1: you look so fucking good.
- 45:58Speaker 3: Bitch miracle, miracle, Oh my god. Yeah.
- 46:07Speaker 1: So they matched. They coupled Jalen and Olandria, which is
- 46:11Speaker 1: I was like, thank God, get her out of this situation.
- 46:14Speaker 1: Taylor is not making any.
- 46:16Speaker 3: Moves, but jalen Is has said nothing zero. Has he
- 46:22Speaker 3: said one thing that's interesting or.
- 46:25Speaker 1: I thought they edited him out of the entire last
- 46:28Speaker 1: two episodes. Quite frankly, we hardly saw him at all.
- 46:32Speaker 3: So I agree, Amy, why are you doing Taylor so bad?
- 46:36Speaker 1: Because he just he's not okay. He came in like
- 46:41Speaker 1: a lamb and he's lambing around.
- 46:43Speaker 3: Shoot, I mean Ace is trying to get him sorted.
- 46:48Speaker 1: I do like that, ask this is okay Ace, This
- 46:52Speaker 1: is a little bit of a redeeming quality.
- 46:56Speaker 3: But he's really minding everybody else's relationship them, Like, Ace,
- 47:01Speaker 3: what do you got going on?
- 47:02Speaker 1: Buddy? You know, finding everyone else in business?
- 47:07Speaker 3: And hello, like you're not nobody is dying for you
- 47:12Speaker 3: right now?
- 47:13Speaker 1: So and like the way you move, You're like, were
- 47:18Speaker 1: you ticklish? Fuck off? Ticklish? I'm gonna tell you where
- 47:21Speaker 1: I'm ticklish? Weirdo.
- 47:23Speaker 3: I mean, Shelley does have his number when she's like,
- 47:27Speaker 3: I think you're there's a wallup and you're just sort
- 47:30Speaker 3: of like using these looks. He thinks he has it
- 47:34Speaker 3: down with these lick lips.
- 47:37Speaker 1: And looks I'm chill. I'm just chill.
- 47:40Speaker 3: You're very much not shell babe.
- 47:42Speaker 1: Yeah, you're very much just odd and you have a
- 47:46Speaker 1: wall up. I don't know you. Oh that is why Amy.
- 47:50Speaker 3: He is so triggered by Jeremiah and Hudah because he
- 47:56Speaker 3: can't imagine connecting that strongly with someone. Wow. And and
- 48:03Speaker 3: it is very very triggering for him to see a
- 48:07Speaker 3: gorgeous I'm sorry Jeremiah's looks. I want to get real
- 48:13Speaker 3: with these boys. They are freaked out by how good
- 48:17Speaker 3: looking he is. And I don't think anyone's talking about
- 48:20Speaker 3: that because they're like, he's too good looking to be
- 48:26Speaker 3: focused on one girl from the beginning and it must
- 48:28Speaker 3: be her fault. And I'm like, I do think they
- 48:32Speaker 3: have something, regardless of if if she's lost the plot
- 48:36Speaker 3: or not, Like I do think they have a connection,
- 48:40Speaker 3: and like.
- 48:41Speaker 1: It's mutual, a mutual actually it's not like she just
- 48:45Speaker 1: No one is going to be steamrolled that hard at
- 48:48Speaker 1: the beginning. They know what this game is. They're not
- 48:50Speaker 1: going to let anybody do that to them unless they
- 48:52Speaker 1: want to be in that situation totally.
- 48:55Speaker 3: And also they're not playing though we want to get
- 48:58Speaker 3: to the end of the game together. Game.
- 49:01Speaker 1: In my opinion, no or else, she wouldn't make a
- 49:04Speaker 1: stink at all. She wouldn't make anything, you know, she
- 49:06Speaker 1: wouldn't say a word.
- 49:09Speaker 3: Yeah, So like, hm, it's just he's I think it
- 49:14Speaker 3: really bothers him that Jeremiah has the ability to commit
- 49:20Speaker 3: and to connect in the way that he has.
- 49:23Speaker 1: And I do want to have a bigger conversation about
- 49:26Speaker 1: that in a second. Now, Pepe was coupled with Hannah
- 49:33Speaker 1: and this just through. You know, Hannah's just head in hands, crying,
- 49:39Speaker 1: and then of course the piece de resistance is Iris
- 49:44Speaker 1: was coupled with Jeremiah, and Huddah could not believe her
- 49:52Speaker 1: eyes and ears.
- 49:57Speaker 3: It was a shakeup.
- 50:01Speaker 1: That was unlike anything I've ever seen. And the way
- 50:04Speaker 1: they were crying, especially Amaya, like it looked like a
- 50:09Speaker 1: Greek tragedy from back in the day. You know, they
- 50:12Speaker 1: just were crying and the tears, and I'm thinking, how
- 50:15Speaker 1: do you do it? I guess that's just youth. I mean,
- 50:18Speaker 1: none of these people are even that likable. Actually, the
- 50:21Speaker 1: ones that are up on the thing, like Taylor and
- 50:24Speaker 1: Charlie and Hooda, I'm looking at them going what are
- 50:27Speaker 1: you crying about? These guys are like not worth the tears? Wow?
- 50:34Speaker 3: Yeah, sorry, sorry sorry, I mean I mean Maya in
- 50:38Speaker 3: the game. I'm not yeah A, Maya losing it was
- 50:44Speaker 3: startling because you know, she, like Ace, has nothing going on,
- 50:54Speaker 3: So what are you ballin' over? Get rid of some
- 50:58Speaker 3: of these people, so someone knew who can come in
- 51:00Speaker 3: for you, Like she's not thinking about herself in terms
- 51:05Speaker 3: of these I don't know.
- 51:07Speaker 1: It was crushing over I don't get it.
- 51:09Speaker 3: It was hard to say, I you know, not Charlie.
- 51:13Speaker 1: I mean, she clearly voted for him. She crying over Hood?
- 51:17Speaker 1: What is it?
- 51:19Speaker 3: It was just that America just came in so hard.
- 51:23Speaker 3: Landria was like she was the one who really had
- 51:26Speaker 3: me just laughing with her assessment. She was like, America
- 51:32Speaker 3: just handed us our ass you know what I mean.
- 51:34Speaker 3: Like she was just like they came in and the
- 51:39Speaker 3: America shot this place up. That's what she said to
- 51:41Speaker 3: Watsa's face. I mean, it was just.
- 51:45Speaker 1: Yeah, I would love to see Landria on a Housewives franchise.
- 51:49Speaker 1: Oh yeah, okay, I think she's got.
- 51:52Speaker 3: Not too young, No, okay, I really like because she's
- 51:58Speaker 3: very mature.
- 51:59Speaker 1: For her age.
- 52:00Speaker 3: I don't disagree.
- 52:02Speaker 1: I would really love to see her. I don't know
- 52:04Speaker 1: what city, and I actually don't know, I don't remember
- 52:06Speaker 1: where she lives, but I would really like to see her.
- 52:09Speaker 1: I just thought of that anyway. So, but right when
- 52:14Speaker 1: Amaya's just crying, but we don't want to do that though,
- 52:19Speaker 1: But what if we don't want to do that?
- 52:20Speaker 3: Though?
- 52:21Speaker 1: I was like, is my daughter here? Like what is happening?
- 52:24Speaker 1: I'm like, it's like I just told her that her
- 52:26Speaker 1: friends have to go home and she has to go
- 52:28Speaker 1: to bed with no dinner. But I don't want to
- 52:30Speaker 1: do that though, And she has to do her homework.
- 52:33Speaker 1: I don't want to do though. And then Charlie is
- 52:36Speaker 1: trying to get a word in edge wise, He's trying
- 52:38Speaker 1: to cut through the tears and the screaming, and he's like,
- 52:41Speaker 1: I just.
- 52:42Speaker 3: Want to say I just want to say, oh, you know,
- 52:45Speaker 3: what's the name? Hannah and I we had like a
- 52:48Speaker 3: really good conversation and like a sow in her eyes
- 52:52Speaker 3: and like something changed. I just really want to know
- 52:54Speaker 3: the opportunity don't go.
- 52:56Speaker 1: I was like, shut up, am I. Taylor could care less.
- 53:01Speaker 1: Taylor was like, I'm happy to go home I'm okay with.
- 53:05Speaker 3: Well, yeah, I mean Taylor's like, I'm gonna keep my
- 53:08Speaker 3: wits about me. You know, during this, I'm going to
- 53:11Speaker 3: be able to exit with my head held high. I'm
- 53:13Speaker 3: not going to make a full fool of myself, you know.
- 53:19Speaker 1: What A should a which m h.
- 53:24Speaker 3: I'll just be her as you as you talk about it.
- 53:26Speaker 1: Okay, is that it?
- 53:30Speaker 4: Yes?
- 53:31Speaker 3: She said out.
- 53:31Speaker 1: She looked she looked like she swam the distance of
- 53:35Speaker 1: the Pacific Ocean. She looked like she could barely stand up, dehydrated, tired,
- 53:45Speaker 1: blinded by the sea salt all up in her lashes,
- 53:50Speaker 1: stunned but stung by a jellyfish, like she was dragged
- 53:56Speaker 1: through I don't know what, and then set there to
- 53:59Speaker 1: stand up, and you would have thought something horrific had happened.
- 54:04Speaker 1: And according to her.
- 54:07Speaker 3: You would have thought she saw her family like executed
- 54:10Speaker 3: in front of her. Like it was right. It was
- 54:14Speaker 3: as you're right, devastated as one could be in the
- 54:19Speaker 3: human experience.
- 54:21Speaker 1: And now we have Jeremiah who doesn't even go up
- 54:24Speaker 1: to her. He just freezes, according to him, doesn't do anything.
- 54:30Speaker 3: No pang.
- 54:32Speaker 1: It was so bad. But boy, did that speak volumes.
- 54:35Speaker 1: He's like America saved me. I guess why did he
- 54:39Speaker 1: choose to sit.
- 54:40Speaker 3: There Amy, because he was dealing with the guys. I
- 54:46Speaker 3: know that's hard. Here's the thing, it was a very
- 54:50Speaker 3: bad thing to do. It was in retrospect.
- 54:53Speaker 1: Oh my god. Well and he said coulda would have
- 54:56Speaker 1: should have He said that without any irony later that
- 55:00Speaker 1: he could have, would have should have gone up to
- 55:02Speaker 1: her after he literally said that, Okay, go on. The guys.
- 55:07Speaker 3: Do believe he was dealing with his crew and trying
- 55:12Speaker 3: to understand because they're all coming at him, and he
- 55:18Speaker 3: was trying to get his head around. He was defending
- 55:20Speaker 3: their relationship. He was defending it. I think he was
- 55:23Speaker 3: just in that place of like, I can't believe I
- 55:28Speaker 3: just lost all my friends. I had no idea America's
- 55:31Speaker 3: feeling this way. These guys are feeling this way. Ace
- 55:33Speaker 3: is the union rep who's like dealing with all of them.
- 55:38Speaker 1: Yeah, he's the foreman.
- 55:39Speaker 3: He's the foreman, like what has happened here? And then
- 55:43Speaker 3: he did his little side with his new couple up
- 55:46Speaker 3: Iris and she did ask him I can talk to
- 55:49Speaker 3: her tonight and he was like, no, I think I'll
- 55:53Speaker 3: do it tomorrow. Bad love not great, not good.
- 55:58Speaker 1: But I mean they had like they literally were banging
- 56:02Speaker 1: in that bed. He couldn't go up to her and
- 56:05Speaker 1: talk to her. What an asshole?
- 56:08Speaker 3: Oh God, why am I letting him get away with it?
- 56:11Speaker 3: I don't know it was a bad move, but I
- 56:13Speaker 3: don't think it was.
- 56:16Speaker 1: I don't know. Even Nick had hut his back and
- 56:20Speaker 1: he voted her to be off the island. But I
- 56:25Speaker 1: honestly feel like there's something to be said about someone
- 56:29Speaker 1: who does fight or flight, you know. I mean, that
- 56:31Speaker 1: is a real thing, and he clearly freezes up, and
- 56:36Speaker 1: maybe that's why he's stayed in this situation with her.
- 56:41Speaker 1: But she just cuts him down left and right, cuts
- 56:44Speaker 1: and cuts and cuts that it's it is so hard
- 56:47Speaker 1: to watch the way that she interacts with him that
- 56:51Speaker 1: part of me doesn't even blame him for not talking
- 56:54Speaker 1: to her, because I feel like he was like, thank God,
- 56:56Speaker 1: I don't have to deal with this woman anymore.
- 56:59Speaker 2: Wow.
- 56:59Speaker 3: I don't think it was that at all, But I
- 57:02Speaker 3: do think he was like, she's such a mess right
- 57:04Speaker 3: now that I can't handle it.
- 57:07Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't think probably.
- 57:09Speaker 3: I think it was like tomorrow things will have settled
- 57:13Speaker 3: and it'll be calmer waters for me to walk into. Yeah,
- 57:18Speaker 3: but that was the wrong thing. But maybe you're right.
- 57:23Speaker 1: I don't know, but maybe America can let us know
- 57:26Speaker 1: how they feel. I have two questions, okay, okay, Well
- 57:30Speaker 1: the first is, how is this just a like, let's
- 57:36Speaker 1: rally around our girl and just tell her whatever we
- 57:38Speaker 1: need to tell her to make her feel good? Or
- 57:41Speaker 1: do the girls really think that America sees something in
- 57:45Speaker 1: Jeremiah that they don't see or were they just trying
- 57:48Speaker 1: to tell her that to make her feel better.
- 57:52Speaker 3: I think they're all a little uneasy with her, ultimately
- 58:00Speaker 3: scared of her.
- 58:01Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 58:02Speaker 3: I think they're all thrown by her. Yeah, and I
- 58:09Speaker 3: don't know if they're a veil. Like my husband keeps
- 58:13Speaker 3: asking me that as well, like why is no one
- 58:16Speaker 3: being real with each other? And I'm like, I don't
- 58:21Speaker 3: know that they have enough experience to be real, to
- 58:25Speaker 3: be honest. This is a young group.
- 58:28Speaker 1: Yeah, that's a good point.
- 58:30Speaker 3: I don't know that they have pearls of wisdom for
- 58:34Speaker 3: her to do, you know what I mean? Like Shelley
- 58:37Speaker 3: would be the only one to have a pearl, right, Olandria,
- 58:42Speaker 3: Olandria too, You're right, You're right. I don't know how
- 58:46Speaker 3: much relationship. I would be curious to know. Do we
- 58:51Speaker 3: know her history? I don't think we really do.
- 58:53Speaker 1: Yes, we're not sure about her history, but she does
- 58:56Speaker 1: seem to bring a little bit of more weight and
- 58:59Speaker 1: wisdom to the situation. So that's why she's heavy.
- 59:01Speaker 3: Yeah, you're right, she's very cool. She's a cool girl,
- 59:05Speaker 3: she's funny, she's smart.
- 59:07Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 59:08Speaker 3: Do I think she has like tons of pearls? I
- 59:11Speaker 3: don't know.
- 59:12Speaker 1: I don't or even if she does, you know, at
- 59:14Speaker 1: this point, like no one has the energy to be
- 59:18Speaker 1: walking Hooda through this. It's a lot to take on.
- 59:22Speaker 1: So I think the first knee jerk reaction is going
- 59:26Speaker 1: to be to calm somebody down in that situation. That is, look,
- 59:29Speaker 1: America probably has your back. He's probably doing things that
- 59:32Speaker 1: you don't even see, which is really a tough thing
- 59:35Speaker 1: because then that makes her absolutely spiral. And now she's thinking,
- 59:38Speaker 1: what is he doing? What is he doing that I
- 59:40Speaker 1: don't know? And now here we go and he's doing
- 59:43Speaker 1: literally nothing, He's doing nothing, And now she is going
- 59:49Speaker 1: to be shell shocked when she gets out of this
- 59:52Speaker 1: off this island. To know that she is the absolute
- 59:54Speaker 1: villain and the reason why they voted is to get
- 59:58Speaker 1: Jeremiah out of the relationship with her.
- 1:00:01Speaker 3: Oh you know what, Iris did sit there, Iris, I
- 1:00:05Speaker 3: think when when they were all in the makeup room
- 1:00:10Speaker 3: and Huda was like losing her mind and calling him
- 1:00:15Speaker 3: every name in the book and saying that he didn't care.
- 1:00:19Speaker 3: He didn't come to her, Iris was like leaning back
- 1:00:23Speaker 3: on a little chaise lounge or something, and she had
- 1:00:27Speaker 3: just had a conversation with him. She knew he was
- 1:00:31Speaker 3: still team Hudah because he said to her, I'm not
- 1:00:37Speaker 3: just gonna jump ship and be with someone because I've
- 1:00:39Speaker 3: been partnered up.
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: But then we have ace about making like a brave
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: heart speech about it's bullshit if you don't look for
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: love and you don't explore love and you shoehorn yourself
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: into relationship right out of the gates. And this is
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: my second question and the topic that I have. That's
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: you know, we saw this last season, obviously we probably
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: see it every season, but this is only the second
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: season I've seen Love Island. But sending people home if
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: they couple up too early and didn't bounce around. I
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: just don't understand that logic because it always backfires because
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: the second and Jeremiah said it like the second. Then
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: he goes and he bounces over to Iris. Now Nick
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: is calling him out for not being there for hood Uh.
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: But I'll tell you it doesn't make sense to me
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: that they judge it like that. I don't think it
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: should be like that, Like Charlie and Hannah genuinely should
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: have ended up being together even though they found that
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: connection early on. I mean Kaylor from last year, Taylor
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: and Aaron, you know, or Kaylor and Aaron they found
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: each other from day one. They were probably on the
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: chopping block at times because they didn't explore. But then
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: Aaron did you know? I just and it caused such
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: a problem. I just what is wrong with coupling up
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: with somebody early and being happy? Isn't it? Love Island?
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: Does it matter how you get there? Because according to
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: Ace it does.
- 1:02:06Speaker 2: Well.
- 1:02:07Speaker 3: Ace, let's see you like make like we've seen nothing
- 1:02:11Speaker 3: from you, Ace, So shut up. But the concept and
- 1:02:15Speaker 3: if you're going listen, this show has produced last season.
- 1:02:22Speaker 3: We can speak to it. Three powerful relationships that have
- 1:02:28Speaker 3: lasted at least one year.
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: Miguel and Yeah and Leah I think are still together.
- 1:02:34Speaker 3: All three of them are still together.
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: Even Cordel and Serena.
- 1:02:38Speaker 3: Yes, they're very much together. Cordel and Serina, Miguel and
- 1:02:43Speaker 3: Leah and Kenny and j Jane, Janey, that's crazy all together.
- 1:02:54Speaker 3: It's crazy, Jane. So the idea, So that is better
- 1:02:59Speaker 3: odds than any Bachelor, Bachelor Paradise anything. So if we're
- 1:03:06Speaker 3: looking at that and going like, well, all of those
- 1:03:09Speaker 3: relationships were tested, that's the conceit of this show. That
- 1:03:15Speaker 3: the way you find out if it's real love is
- 1:03:17Speaker 3: if someone else comes in the bombshells can you can
- 1:03:21Speaker 3: you weather that storm? That's the conceit of the show.
- 1:03:26Speaker 3: But obviously it is not as dynamic. If everyone did that,
- 1:03:31Speaker 3: we have a show, right, But to your point, that
- 1:03:36Speaker 3: doesn't mean it can't work out that way or that
- 1:03:39Speaker 3: we can't even concede, right.
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: Because it's not going to be that way for everybody.
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: Not everybody is. It's not going to happen that way.
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: So isn't it okay if it just happens to two people?
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: It usually doesn't happen to more than that.
- 1:03:55Speaker 3: I know, And so unfortunately there's always going to be
- 1:03:59Speaker 3: an ace type a last year.
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: Charlie, Charlie's calling it out too.
- 1:04:05Speaker 3: Right, and stupid Nick is just First of all, you
- 1:04:10Speaker 3: had a pimple and a purpy.
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: I didn't mean Charlie I met Nick, but Charlie or
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: Nick had a pimple and a herpie.
- 1:04:17Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:04:18Speaker 3: We dealt with the pimple the first couple episodes. In
- 1:04:20Speaker 3: the last I'm seeing a herpee on his lips.
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: So no, no, you can't be kissing on everybody like
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: this and play these games like that.
- 1:04:28Speaker 3: Well I'm sure they're tested, but you know, and I
- 1:04:31Speaker 3: wouldn't be so mean in general, except for the fact
- 1:04:33Speaker 3: that he annoyed the shit out of me this last
- 1:04:36Speaker 3: two because he's he's Yeah, I mean, thank god for
- 1:04:40Speaker 3: Austin to be like Jeremiah. These guys are all listening
- 1:04:47Speaker 3: to their leader, Yace. Right. You know Nick is like
- 1:04:51Speaker 3: he has no original thought in his dumb, stupid head.
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: No, no, he sure doesn't. Oh boy, all right, well,
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: let's wrap this up. I know that there was a
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: triple date. I know that there was a ping pong
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: and pancakes, but we just need to move on. Okay,
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: it's been an hour. I feel like we have scratched
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: more than the surface, and I'm happy with where we
