- 0:02Speaker 1: Hello and welcome to Outspoken.
- 0:04Speaker 2: It's your dose of the hottest influencer and pop culture
- 0:07Speaker 2: news twice a week.
- 0:09Speaker 1: I'm Amy Torber and coming up on today's show.
- 0:12Speaker 2: Tammy Hembrough pokes fun at her divorce as Matt Sikowsky
- 0:15Speaker 2: turns to journaling. Laura Henshaw's pregnancy video goes viral for
- 0:20Speaker 2: an unexpected reason.
- 0:22Speaker 1: And Rosalia Russian's 11-year-old daughter's savage business class review.
- 0:27Speaker 2: But first, Kate, Georgia Love and Lee Elliott's house has
- 0:30Speaker 2: been sold at auction four.
- 0:31Speaker 1: Months after the couple announced their shock split.
- 0:34Speaker 2: So back in February, the beloved bachelor couple revealed they'd
- 0:37Speaker 2: made the decision to lovingly part ways.
- 0:40Speaker 3: I was so sad when this popped up because after
- 0:43Speaker 3: listening to Georgia Love on No Filter, I was really
- 0:46Speaker 3: hoping that they might get back together, but this seems
- 0:48Speaker 3: to be the nail in the coffin.
- 0:49Speaker 2: I suppose the only positive is they do seem to
- 0:51Speaker 2: be on good terms. I felt really sorry for them
- 0:54Speaker 2: because the paparazzi turned up to the auction of their house.
- 0:58Speaker 2: But they looked really friendly and smiley, but they were
- 1:00Speaker 2: probably putting on a.
- 1:01Speaker 1: Bit of a show.
- 1:03Speaker 3: Well, apparently they went to a local cafe together to
- 1:05Speaker 3: celebrate the sale afterwards. Clearly the paparazzi followed them there. However,
- 1:09Speaker 3: Georgia ended up sharing a teary selfie with her cat
- 1:12Speaker 3: later on. So she wrote, big day, you and me,
- 1:15Speaker 3: baby girl, which really broke my heart.
- 1:17Speaker 4: I know.
- 1:18Speaker 3: And it made me feel really sad because I looked
- 1:19Speaker 3: through the house listing and it's an absolutely beautiful house.
- 1:22Speaker 3: It was listed for $ 1. 5 million and And it broke
- 1:26Speaker 3: my heart because there was a picture of Paudrey lying
- 1:28Speaker 3: on the bed in the photos.
- 1:30Speaker 2: Well, I'm just glad that Georgia got to keep her
- 1:32Speaker 2: cat because sometimes that can be a bit of a
- 1:34Speaker 2: contentious issue who was going to take the pet.
- 1:36Speaker 3: Yeah, I know. Paudrey was hers to begin with, so
- 1:38Speaker 3: it probably was a bit of an easy decision. In
- 1:40Speaker 3: terms of the house, it ended up getting passed in
- 1:42Speaker 3: an auction on a bid of $ 1. 53 million. But they
- 1:46Speaker 3: did end up selling the house during post-auction negotiations for
- 1:49Speaker 3: an undisclosed amount of money. It does seem like the
- 1:52Speaker 3: couple would have made a little bit off it because
- 1:54Speaker 3: they bought it for $ 1. 35 million back in 2021. I
- 1:58Speaker 3: don't think in that situation, though, it's really about making money.
- 2:01Speaker 1: No, definitely not.
- 2:02Speaker 2: I don't think they'd be celebrating because now they're going
- 2:04Speaker 2: to have to go back into this market, which is
- 2:06Speaker 2: very expensive, and buy something else or potentially rent.
- 2:11Speaker 3: It was interesting because following the auction, Georgia ended up
- 2:13Speaker 3: sharing a selfie in a lift. holding a big bunch
- 2:16Speaker 3: of flowers. And she had the iconic Miley Cyrus breakup
- 2:19Speaker 3: song lyrics, I can buy myself flowers. And people thought
- 2:22Speaker 3: this might have been a bit of a pot shot
- 2:24Speaker 3: at Leigh.
- 2:24Speaker 2: I don't necessarily think it was a pot shot at Leigh.
- 2:27Speaker 2: I just think she was trying to make light of
- 2:29Speaker 2: the situation.
- 2:30Speaker 3: Yeah, I think it was more commentary around being independent
- 2:33Speaker 3: and moving on from the situation.
- 2:36Speaker 5: This video is not about to be heavy. Keeping it
- 2:39Speaker 5: lighthearted today.
- 2:41Speaker 2: It's been just over a week since Tammy Hembrough confirmed
- 2:44Speaker 2: the news we were all expecting. She's divorcing Matt Sikowski. Now, Kate,
- 2:49Speaker 2: as the special correspondent on all things Hembroughs, can you
- 2:52Speaker 2: take us through Divorce Watch?
- 2:54Speaker 3: Yeah, so I want to take you back to the beginning.
- 2:56Speaker 3: So just after our podcast dropped last Tuesday, Melbourne sports
- 3:00Speaker 3: journalist Taylor Little broke her silence after being spotted with
- 3:04Speaker 3: Matt just hours before the divorce announcement went live. So
- 3:07Speaker 3: the pair were seen socialising at an NFL Rams event
- 3:11Speaker 3: and they were later photographed at a bar in Richmond together.
- 3:14Speaker 3: Taylor even shared a photo of her and Matt on
- 3:17Speaker 3: one of the rugby activations at the event with the caption,
- 3:20Speaker 3: Matt Sikowsky won't play with me. So it was quite flirtatious.
- 3:24Speaker 3: She ended up talking to the Daily Mail about the
- 3:26Speaker 3: nature of her relationship with Matt and she said, there
- 3:29Speaker 3: is no truth to the rumours being circulated. I attended
- 3:32Speaker 3: a work event alongside a wide range of media and
- 3:35Speaker 3: content creators. And that was the first time I had
- 3:37Speaker 3: met this group. Now, with all due respect, Taylor is
- 3:41Speaker 3: a journalist and she knows how the media works. There
- 3:43Speaker 3: have been countless news publications speculating that Tammy and Matt
- 3:48Speaker 3: were broken up. Not to mention the surveillance on social media.
- 3:51Speaker 3: I find it difficult to believe that she didn't expect
- 3:53Speaker 3: to receive a response when she posted about Matt in
- 3:56Speaker 3: a flirtatious way.
- 3:58Speaker 2: Yeah, I think it would have been different if she'd
- 4:00Speaker 2: just been spotted out with him and other people have
- 4:02Speaker 2: read into the situation. But as you said, because she
- 4:04Speaker 2: did put up that Instagram story, I think people instantly
- 4:07Speaker 2: read more into it. And also the fact she started
- 4:10Speaker 2: following him and he started following her on Instagram.
- 4:13Speaker 3: Yeah, exactly. Now, since announcing her divorce, Tammy has continued
- 4:17Speaker 3: to give followers an insight into how she's feeling. So
- 4:21Speaker 3: speaking to her followers on her Instagram story, she revealed
- 4:24Speaker 3: she's been crying so much that she's given herself headaches
- 4:26Speaker 3: and Then in a caption on her Instagram post, she wrote,
- 4:29Speaker 3: I feel like I've lost myself a thousand times and
- 4:32Speaker 3: each time I found something new. So here's to that.
- 4:36Speaker 3: She also shared an inspirational quote that said, you're not
- 4:38Speaker 3: in this season by accident. The tone seemed to change
- 4:41Speaker 3: a bit though, because she then started to take the
- 4:43Speaker 3: piss out of herself a little bit. So she showed
- 4:45Speaker 3: herself standing in the corner of her walk-in robe and
- 4:49Speaker 3: with the caption, don't worry guys, putting myself in timeout
- 4:52Speaker 3: because what the actual fuck.
- 4:54Speaker 1: That was a very popular TikTok.
- 4:56Speaker 2: It is good that she has started poking fun at
- 4:59Speaker 2: this because if you don't laugh, you cry.
- 5:02Speaker 3: Yeah, I think it's been an excellent PR response from her.
- 5:05Speaker 3: She also shared a Get Ready With Me video where
- 5:08Speaker 3: she announced that she's planning a glow up. This is
- 5:10Speaker 3: what she said.
- 5:11Speaker 5: I've decided I'm entering a glow up era. I'm not
- 5:17Speaker 5: sure what that's going to look like, but the decision's
- 5:20Speaker 5: been made.
- 5:22Speaker 2: I've seen a lot of talk online, though, that she
- 5:25Speaker 2: is already going through her glow-up era.
- 5:27Speaker 3: Yeah, a lot of people were commenting that she must
- 5:29Speaker 3: have had a professional makeup artist do her makeup for
- 5:32Speaker 3: the divorce video because she looked absolutely incredible in it.
- 5:35Speaker 3: Do you remember back when she broke up with Matt Paul,
- 5:38Speaker 3: she dyed her hair red? I'm wondering if we're going
- 5:40Speaker 3: to see a dramatic change like that.
- 5:42Speaker 2: I hope not because I think she looks amazing at
- 5:44Speaker 2: the moment. I don't even think there's any glow up needed.
- 5:47Speaker 3: Yeah, I agree. But she did speak about how just
- 5:49Speaker 3: putting on makeup has made her feel so much better
- 5:51Speaker 3: during this breakup.
- 5:53Speaker 2: You could tell that Tammy has been really surprised by
- 5:55Speaker 2: the positive support that she has been getting because in
- 5:58Speaker 2: this video, she thanked her followers saying this.
- 6:02Speaker 5: I do, though, want to say that I really, really,
- 6:06Speaker 5: really appreciate Like, my faith in humanity is low-key restored
- 6:11Speaker 5: because the amount of, like, love and support and kind
- 6:13Speaker 5: messages that I have gotten is.
- 6:15Speaker 4: I.
- 6:17Speaker 5: Just love and appreciate every single one of you. Of course,
- 6:21Speaker 5: there's been, like, the nasty comments, but we don't look
- 6:23Speaker 5: at those, do we?
- 6:25Speaker 2: No.
- 6:29Speaker 3: I love that Posey was in agreement not to look
- 6:31Speaker 3: at the nasty comments on social media. Another thing I've
- 6:34Speaker 3: been loving is how Tammy keeps sharing with us how
- 6:37Speaker 3: she's feeling. via song mimes. It's very millennial. It kind
- 6:41Speaker 3: of reminds me of back in the day on MSN
- 6:44Speaker 3: when you used to change your name to be a
- 6:46Speaker 3: song lyric to reflect how you're feeling. I thought it
- 6:48Speaker 3: was very targeted.
- 6:50Speaker 2: Well, she was doing a lot of miming before she
- 6:52Speaker 2: announced the divorce news, and that's what led a lot
- 6:54Speaker 2: of people to suspect that they'd broken up.
- 6:56Speaker 3: Yeah, I thought it might stop once she had announced
- 6:58Speaker 3: the divorce, but thankfully she's kept it going. So she
- 7:01Speaker 3: mimed to these lyrics of Akon's song, Lonely.
- 7:07Speaker 5: I wonder if.
- 7:07Speaker 2: The lyric after all I put you through is in.
- 7:11Speaker 5: Relation to the Grand Prix scandal.
- 7:14Speaker 2: Or something else that happened to actually cause the divorce. Yeah,
- 7:29Speaker 2: I suspect it might be something that we're unaware of
- 7:32Speaker 2: at the moment. Maybe we'll find out later once Tammy
- 7:35Speaker 2: launches her podcast. I just wonder, if you're Matt Sikowsky,
- 7:39Speaker 2: are you watching these videos?
- 7:41Speaker 3: I think Tammy's probably blocked him because they used to
- 7:44Speaker 3: block each other all the time on social media when
- 7:46Speaker 3: they were still a couple. Of course, that was short-lived.
- 7:49Speaker 3: They then unblocked each other and refollowed. But surely you've
- 7:51Speaker 3: got each other on block because you don't want to
- 7:53Speaker 3: be seeing this stuff. The other song lyric that Tammy
- 7:56Speaker 3: mimed to was, I don't care what you say, this
- 7:58Speaker 3: is my life. Go ahead with your own life. Leave
- 8:01Speaker 3: me alone by Billy Joel. I would say my absolute
- 8:03Speaker 3: favorite though this week has been when Tammy mimed to this.
- 8:07Speaker 3: Would you do anything for me?
- 8:11Speaker 4: Buy a big diamond ring for me?
- 8:15Speaker 5: Would you get down on your knees for me?
- 8:20Speaker 2: It is the perfect way for Tammy to respond because
- 8:23Speaker 2: so many people have been on her back about her
- 8:25Speaker 2: collecting engagement rings.
- 8:27Speaker 3: Yeah, just taking the absolute piss out of herself. She
- 8:29Speaker 3: is the modern day Elizabeth Taylor and Elizabeth Taylor really
- 8:32Speaker 3: owned it. And she was like, yeah, I've been married.
- 8:35Speaker 3: What is it? What was it? Eight times. And I'm
- 8:37Speaker 3: proud of it.
- 8:37Speaker 2: I loved the comment. Someone wrote, don't be shy. Tell
- 8:40Speaker 2: us which one was your favorite. And she actually responded writing,
- 8:42Speaker 2: ha ha ha ha.
- 8:43Speaker 3: Another person added, thank you, God. To which Tammy replied,
- 8:46Speaker 3: laughing my ass off. It's not me. It's them. Ha ha.
- 8:49Speaker 2: Someone else wrote, some girls collect handbags, you collect diamond offers.
- 8:53Speaker 2: Iconic behavior, to which Tammy replied, laughing my ass off.
- 8:58Speaker 3: I love that everyone is just watching so intently every
- 9:01Speaker 3: move Tammy makes on social media because we had a
- 9:04Speaker 3: super sleuth message us on Instagram because they spotted that
- 9:07Speaker 3: Tammy recently liked a reel about a cheating boyfriend. So
- 9:11Speaker 3: the video was created by a Melbourne-based content creator called Nikki,
- 9:15Speaker 3: who has around 30,000 followers on Instagram. And she follows Tammy,
- 9:19Speaker 3: but Tammy doesn't follow her back. And the reel was
- 9:21Speaker 3: posted on the 6th of May. Here's a little snippet
- 9:24Speaker 3: of it for you to get the gist.
- 9:26Speaker 6: Six weeks ago today, I woke up to the most
- 9:29Speaker 6: horrific messages from a stranger who had informed me my
- 9:32Speaker 6: buffoon of a boyfriend was living a double life. I
- 9:34Speaker 6: didn't even believe the DM at first, but screenshots followed
- 9:38Speaker 6: by the entire PDF file of all of their messages
- 9:41Speaker 6: was enough to shatter my entire world.
- 9:44Speaker 2: Well, I think that speaks volumes that like.
- 9:49Speaker 3: I really think it does. I mean, it reminded me
- 9:51Speaker 3: of the Grand Prix scandal, but I'm assuming that it's
- 9:54Speaker 3: happened again recently.
- 9:55Speaker 2: I'm guessing the message started with, hey, girl. That is
- 9:59Speaker 2: the message that no one knows.
- 10:00Speaker 1: One wants to see pop up in their inbox.
- 10:02Speaker 3: Yeah, your heart immediately drops with that because you just
- 10:04Speaker 3: know it's not going to be good. Now, Tammy is
- 10:07Speaker 3: currently holidaying in New Zealand with her three children and
- 10:10Speaker 3: news publications are reporting that she fled the country after
- 10:14Speaker 3: announcing her divorce. But she's been talking about this trip
- 10:16Speaker 3: to New Zealand for a long time.
- 10:18Speaker 2: This trip looks incredible. So she's in Queenstown at the moment.
- 10:21Speaker 2: She left on Thursday and she has been sharing a
- 10:24Speaker 2: lot on social media. And this trip didn't get off
- 10:27Speaker 2: to the best start because it turns out Tammy left
- 10:29Speaker 2: her youngest daughter Posey's passport at her dad Matt Poole's house.
- 10:34Speaker 3: Yeah, fortunately Matt Poole came to the rescue and he
- 10:36Speaker 3: shared this update on his Instagram story about the incident.
- 10:40Speaker 4: I tell you what, co-parenting's never easy. But when you
- 10:43Speaker 4: check your phone to see 50 missed calls and messages...
- 10:47Speaker 4: And Posey's supposed to be going to Queenstown this afternoon,
- 10:49Speaker 4: only to realise her passport's at my house.
- 10:54Speaker 5: God damn.
- 10:57Speaker 3: Unfortunately for Tammy, things just kept getting worse because their
- 11:00Speaker 3: flight got delayed. So when you're travelling to Queenstown from
- 11:03Speaker 3: the Gold Coast, you have to take two flights. And
- 11:05Speaker 3: their second flight got cancelled. So they had this massive
- 11:09Speaker 3: overnight layover. It would be terrible with three kids on
- 11:12Speaker 3: your own.
- 11:13Speaker 1: Oh, it sounds awful.
- 11:14Speaker 3: Now that Matt is out of the picture, Tammy's 10-year-old son, Wolf,
- 11:17Speaker 3: needs to take centre stage on her social media because
- 11:20Speaker 3: this is what he said about airport food prices.
- 11:23Speaker 5: Airports probably make, like.
- 11:29Speaker 6: Billions of dollars a day from their pricey food.
- 11:34Speaker 3: Wolf, how much is this?
- 11:35Speaker 6: Probably a lot knowing airport prices.
- 11:38Speaker 5: Sorry.
- 11:39Speaker 2: And that's his everyday low price.
- 11:43Speaker 5: You're actually right though.
- 11:45Speaker 1: He is so cute.
- 11:46Speaker 2: This is giving me vibes of Anastasia King's North Little
- 11:49Speaker 2: Brother Atticus when he commented.
- 11:50Speaker 1: On, what a rip off.
- 11:53Speaker 3: This really shows to me that Tammy is doing a
- 11:55Speaker 3: good job with her kids because she's worth around $ 50 million,
- 11:59Speaker 3: but her kids clearly know the value of a dollar.
- 12:01Speaker 2: I feel like every couple of months Tammy is in
- 12:03Speaker 2: a new country because only recently she went to Egypt.
- 12:06Speaker 2: Now she's in New Zealand. She did say that this
- 12:09Speaker 2: trip couldn't have come at a more perfect time for her.
- 12:12Speaker 2: She said, this is honestly just what I needed. I
- 12:14Speaker 2: haven't slept in over 24 hours, but I feel revived.
- 12:18Speaker 2: I just started crying before.
- 12:20Speaker 3: It's really nice seeing her holidaying with her kids because
- 12:22Speaker 3: the Egypt trip really was a work trip. And it
- 12:25Speaker 3: seems like they're having an absolutely magical time. It's Christmas
- 12:28Speaker 3: in July there at the moment, and they have all
- 12:29Speaker 3: these beautiful decorations set up. It seems Very wholesome.
- 12:33Speaker 2: Well, maybe she's regretting taking Matt Sikowsky to Finland.
- 12:36Speaker 1: That was, of course, for their honeymoon.
- 12:38Speaker 3: Well, she actually referenced the honeymoon because she said it's
- 12:41Speaker 3: not as cold as she thought it would be because
- 12:43Speaker 3: the last place that she was in was Finland, which
- 12:45Speaker 3: was absolutely freezing.
- 12:46Speaker 2: Well, Matt Sikowsky doesn't appear to be having as good
- 12:49Speaker 2: of a time as Tammy because he's in his hometown
- 12:51Speaker 2: of Melbourne in the freezing cold. He's been laying low
- 12:54Speaker 2: since he got called out for liking disrespectful comments about Tammy.
- 12:57Speaker 3: I saw he's been invited to a couple of local
- 12:59Speaker 3: movie premieres and he's really trying to push him being
- 13:02Speaker 3: a movie reviewer, but I don't think anyone cares.
- 13:05Speaker 2: Yeah, because half his TikTok was him and Tammy and
- 13:08Speaker 2: the other half was, oh, I love movies and here's
- 13:10Speaker 2: me going to a horror movie. And this is how
- 13:12Speaker 2: much I love like watching a movie every week.
- 13:14Speaker 3: He did put up a meme saying that horror movies
- 13:17Speaker 3: are like a bandaid over his breakup at the moment.
- 13:19Speaker 2: I saw on Thursday that he shared that he and
- 13:22Speaker 2: Anna had done a new photo shoot for their podcast,
- 13:24Speaker 2: which was interesting timing.
- 13:26Speaker 3: Oh, I found this so strange because Anna's been on
- 13:28Speaker 3: maternity leave and originally she said that she'd be on
- 13:31Speaker 3: leave for around six weeks. But I think this signals
- 13:34Speaker 3: that they're going to rush her back to do a
- 13:36Speaker 3: big tell-all episode about the breakup.
- 13:39Speaker 1: Well, I hope so.
- 13:40Speaker 2: I mean, it makes a lot of sense because Matt
- 13:42Speaker 2: has only released that short statement. He hasn't done any
- 13:46Speaker 2: piece to cameras. Surely he's waiting to tell his side
- 13:49Speaker 2: of the story.
- 13:50Speaker 3: Yeah, and I think a part of it would be
- 13:51Speaker 3: to get downloads because he's always used Tammy and her
- 13:54Speaker 3: family to try and get more downloads on his podcast.
- 13:57Speaker 3: So it would make sense. I mean, when that whole
- 13:59Speaker 3: Grand Prix scandal broke, he spoke about it candidly on
- 14:03Speaker 3: his podcast, which was pretty disrespectful to Tammy at the time.
- 14:06Speaker 3: I think that they were still not talking to each other.
- 14:08Speaker 2: Well, over the weekend, Matt also revealed that he started journaling.
- 14:12Speaker 2: So he mentioned that he found a notebook a few
- 14:15Speaker 2: months ago and started writing down his thoughts and experiences.
- 14:19Speaker 2: I feel like this is more of him teasing that
- 14:21Speaker 2: he's going to drop some juicy details about this split.
- 14:25Speaker 3: The fact that he's documenting it, I was like, oh,
- 14:27Speaker 3: is he going to do like a tell-all book? He wrote,
- 14:30Speaker 3: now every time I read back through it, there's a
- 14:32Speaker 3: sense of peace. Like I can actually see how far
- 14:34Speaker 3: I've come. To me, that also puts a little bit
- 14:37Speaker 3: of the blame on Tammy Hembrough. I think that he
- 14:39Speaker 3: is trying to change the rhetoric here because at the moment,
- 14:42Speaker 3: everyone is like, team Tammy, Matt must have done something bad.
- 14:46Speaker 3: But maybe he's gearing up to share his side of
- 14:48Speaker 3: things on his podcast and try and flip the narrative
- 14:51Speaker 3: a little bit.
- 14:58Speaker 2: Laura Henshaw's pregnancy video has gone viral for an unexpected reason.
- 15:03Speaker 2: The CEO of Kik shared the moment she found out
- 15:06Speaker 2: she was pregnant, but the sweet moment was overshadowed by
- 15:09Speaker 2: what her husband Dalton was doing in the background.
- 15:13Speaker 3: Yes, since announcing her pregnancy a few weeks ago, she's
- 15:15Speaker 3: been very open about the fact that this pregnancy was
- 15:18Speaker 3: a surprise. In saying that, Laura did reveal on an
- 15:21Speaker 3: interview about the pregnancy that she's been having unprotected sex
- 15:25Speaker 3: for the last 10 years. And this revelation caused a
- 15:27Speaker 3: lot of debate with a lot of people questioning, well,
- 15:30Speaker 3: can it truly be a surprise if you're having sex
- 15:32Speaker 3: without contraception? I mean, it's a complex discussion. We actually
- 15:35Speaker 3: spoke about it on our subs episode last week. Now,
- 15:38Speaker 3: in terms of this video... No matter where you stand
- 15:42Speaker 3: on that discussion, after watching it, it was very clear
- 15:44Speaker 3: that Laura finding out the news that she was pregnant
- 15:47Speaker 3: was genuinely a surprise to her.
- 15:49Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 15:49Speaker 3: So much so that she actually took the pregnancy test
- 15:52Speaker 3: while her husband, Dalton, was having a shower.
- 15:54Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 15:54Speaker 2: So for those who haven't seen it, Laura propped her
- 15:57Speaker 2: phone up on her bathroom sink as she waited for
- 16:00Speaker 2: the results.
- 16:00Speaker 1: Let's have a listen.
- 16:01Speaker 3: I'm not.
- 16:04Speaker 2: Going to be pregnant though.
- 16:08Speaker 1: I'm not going to be pregnant.
- 16:12Speaker 4: Oh, my God. Are you fucking serious? What the hell?
- 16:23Speaker 3: Now, when you listen to the audio, it sounds really
- 16:25Speaker 3: touching because there's this emotive music playing underneath. And Laura
- 16:29Speaker 3: is absolutely shocked. She can't say anything. But what's completely
- 16:33Speaker 3: distracted from the touching moment is Dalton. So the way
- 16:37Speaker 3: Laura positioned her phone... You can see Dalton in the
- 16:41Speaker 3: shower in the right-hand corner of the screen, and you
- 16:44Speaker 3: can see his head and a bit of his chest.
- 16:45Speaker 3: It's not like you can see any private areas.
- 16:48Speaker 2: No, but I was like, why is he standing so low?
- 16:52Speaker 1: Is he on his knees? What the hell is he
- 16:55Speaker 1: doing in the shower?
- 16:55Speaker 3: Yeah, and what threw people is he also was holding
- 16:57Speaker 3: a razor in his hand, so a lot of people
- 16:59Speaker 3: thought he might be manscaping and Laura's caught him mid-session.
- 17:03Speaker 3: So the reason why it looked so weird was the
- 17:05Speaker 3: couple actually have a very unique shower in the rental
- 17:09Speaker 3: that they were in. So apparently you have to step
- 17:11Speaker 3: down one meter to get into the shower. The shower
- 17:15Speaker 3: also has this weird lighting that was kind of strobing
- 17:18Speaker 3: and looked like mood lighting. Well, it turns out the
- 17:20Speaker 3: shower caused them a lot of issues when they were
- 17:22Speaker 3: at this rental because apparently their toilet got blocked. And
- 17:26Speaker 3: then poo started coming up out of the shower.
- 17:30Speaker 5: Yuck.
- 17:30Speaker 2: I felt really sorry for Dalton though, because everyone in
- 17:34Speaker 2: the TikTok comment section was just fixated on what he
- 17:37Speaker 2: was doing in the shower. So one person wrote, Here
- 17:40Speaker 2: for the explanation. Now that comment got 12.7 thousand likes.
- 17:44Speaker 2: Another said, is anyone going to comment on the fact
- 17:47Speaker 2: that the husband is kneeling, sitting, smaller?
- 17:51Speaker 3: I can't work it out.
- 17:52Speaker 2: So happy for you guys, but that's all I can
- 17:54Speaker 2: focus on. And that comment got 2.3 thousand likes.
- 17:57Speaker 3: Someone else added, oh my God, I'm pissing him looking
- 18:00Speaker 3: so small. And that got over 7.5 thousand likes. There
- 18:04Speaker 3: were a lot of similar comments on Instagram, but also
- 18:07Speaker 3: a lot of praise about how real Laura and Dalton's
- 18:09Speaker 3: reactions were to the pregnancy test.
- 18:12Speaker 2: Yeah, because you're so used to seeing influencer pregnancy announcements
- 18:15Speaker 2: where it seems really staged and everyone's crying and there's
- 18:18Speaker 2: the beautiful music. And it actually normalizes that sometimes your
- 18:23Speaker 2: reaction isn't going to be that beautiful.
- 18:26Speaker 3: Yeah, and not everyone is going to have this perfect
- 18:28Speaker 3: response to finding out that they're pregnant. It's quite ironic, though,
- 18:31Speaker 3: because of Dalton's appearance in the background. The video amassed
- 18:35Speaker 3: 1.3 million views on Instagram and 1.4 million on TikTok.
- 18:39Speaker 3: I'm sure that wasn't the intention of Laura sharing this video.
- 18:41Speaker 3: It's quite funny because I don't think she even noticed
- 18:43Speaker 3: Dalton's behavior until people pointed it out.
- 18:46Speaker 2: Yeah, well, Dalton said that his phone blew up after
- 18:49Speaker 2: Laura shared this video and he jumped onto the comments
- 18:52Speaker 2: section and wrote, okay, okay, I need to.
- 18:54Speaker 1: Clarify a few things.
- 18:56Speaker 2: While I was making dinner, this video goes up. Next minute,
- 18:59Speaker 2: I have a bunch of my mates asking some questions
- 19:01Speaker 2: and here's my answers below.
- 19:03Speaker 1: One, I do not shower on my knees. Two, yes,
- 19:06Speaker 1: I keep things tidy downstairs. Who doesn't? Three, Laura is
- 19:10Speaker 1: taller than me. Short king. Mass stitch up this. Laura
- 19:14Speaker 1: is now crying with laughter.
- 19:15Speaker 3: FML. Laura also ended up sharing a video reveal of
- 19:19Speaker 3: Dalton to TikTok after getting so many comments to be like,
- 19:22Speaker 3: what does your husband actually look like? He looked far
- 19:25Speaker 3: from impressed. Let's take a listen.
- 19:28Speaker 5: This is my husband come here for one sec who
- 19:30Speaker 5: doesn't who doesn't kneel now it's.
- 19:32Speaker 2: Obviously if you kneel in the shower amazing but he
- 19:35Speaker 2: does have.
- 19:36Speaker 1: A shower standing.
- 19:39Speaker 2: This is him good height no our height doesn't matter
- 19:43Speaker 2: what your height is but just Yeah, but not.
- 19:47Speaker 1: We are actually exactly... And it obviously doesn't matter if
- 19:50Speaker 1: we have a different height anyway. Do not shout on
- 19:53Speaker 1: my knees.
- 19:54Speaker 2: I'm one centimetre taller than him, if you really had
- 19:57Speaker 2: to measure.
- 19:57Speaker 5: You're not really.
- 19:58Speaker 1: But anyway, again, height doesn't matter. And anyway, that's my husband.
- 20:04Speaker 3: Poor Laura. She seems to really second-guess herself online. And
- 20:07Speaker 3: you could tell Dalton was getting over it because... The
- 20:10Speaker 3: whole point of the video was to show that he
- 20:12Speaker 3: wasn't short, yet she was saying, oh, no, it doesn't
- 20:14Speaker 3: matter if you're short, though. It's like, but that was
- 20:16Speaker 3: the purpose of the video.
- 20:17Speaker 2: I actually feel a bit sorry for Dalton. I mean,
- 20:19Speaker 2: that is his reaction when he is kind of forced
- 20:22Speaker 2: to be in her content a lot. You can tell
- 20:24Speaker 2: he's like, fuck's sake, like, I don't even want to
- 20:26Speaker 2: be part of this. Rosalia Russian's 11-year-old daughter, Willow, is
- 20:30Speaker 2: back sharing her honest opinion of European eateries. Last year,
- 20:35Speaker 2: she made headlines when she savagely labelled a Michelin star
- 20:38Speaker 2: restaurant's food horrendous.
- 20:40Speaker 3: I was actually on maternity leave when this story broke
- 20:43Speaker 3: and I remember listening at home to you guys talking
- 20:45Speaker 3: about this, absolutely cacking myself. So the family jetted off
- 20:49Speaker 3: last week for another European summer and to our delight,
- 20:52Speaker 3: Willow is back reviewing food. This time it was aeroplane
- 20:55Speaker 3: and lounge food. So the Russian family travelled business class
- 20:59Speaker 3: on Singapore Airlines from Melbourne to Singapore and then on
- 21:02Speaker 3: to Italy. And from the get-go, Willow was not happy
- 21:05Speaker 3: with the early start, writing... So we got on the
- 21:08Speaker 3: plane at 5 a.m. Like, why does it have to
- 21:10Speaker 3: be so early? Then we went to the lounge thing
- 21:13Speaker 3: and the food was okay. I had Coco Pops and
- 21:15Speaker 3: apple juice. The milk was horrible. Like, it was so warm.
- 21:18Speaker 3: And why? The apple juice was good. Very sweet, though.
- 21:20Speaker 2: This is just reminding me of the diaries I would
- 21:22Speaker 2: write when we went on holiday.
- 21:24Speaker 1: Like, the details.
- 21:26Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm living for the detail. Also for the shade
- 21:28Speaker 3: that she's throwing. So she wrote that when we got
- 21:31Speaker 3: onto the plane, mum fell asleep. Predictable. Eye roll emojis. Now,
- 21:36Speaker 3: despite traveling business class and having access to a flat bed,
- 21:39Speaker 3: Willow couldn't sleep. She wrote, Kingston and dad were a
- 21:41Speaker 3: couple of seats behind us and I could not sleep.
- 21:44Speaker 3: I hate when that happens. It's so annoying. I then
- 21:46Speaker 3: fell asleep for like one hour and it wasn't a
- 21:49Speaker 3: good sleep.
- 21:49Speaker 2: This poor girl's going to get a shock when one
- 21:51Speaker 2: day she has to fly cattle class and she tries
- 21:53Speaker 2: to get.
- 21:54Speaker 1: Asleep in there.
- 21:56Speaker 3: Well, things got even worse when the family arrived in
- 21:58Speaker 3: Singapore for a 12-hour stopover. Willow wrote, oh my God,
- 22:01Speaker 3: I don't know how I survived, to be honest. Fortunately,
- 22:05Speaker 3: she was really impressed with the spread in the Singapore
- 22:07Speaker 3: Airlines lounge. She wrote, I got chicken nuggets and potato wedges.
- 22:11Speaker 3: The chicken nuggets were elite, like amazing. And the potato
- 22:14Speaker 3: wedges were really good. I think we're going to be
- 22:16Speaker 3: seeing and hearing a lot from her because in October
- 22:18Speaker 3: last year, she actually became the face of Forever News
- 22:21Speaker 3: Girls Wear. So I think it's only a matter of
- 22:24Speaker 3: time before she gets her own socials. I mean, Rosalia
- 22:27Speaker 3: is sharing this on her own at the moment, and
- 22:28Speaker 3: I thank her very much for this.
- 22:30Speaker 2: Well, after eating, Willow read her book writing. It was very,
- 22:34Speaker 2: very good, by the way. I definitely recommend it. And
- 22:36Speaker 2: it was like one of the literal only things that
- 22:39Speaker 2: doesn't outrage me. So maybe a book talk is on
- 22:42Speaker 2: the horizon.
- 22:44Speaker 3: One thing that did outrage her, though, was her dad
- 22:46Speaker 3: and brother. She wrote, Anyway, Dad and Kingston discovered the
- 22:50Speaker 3: dumpling station and obsessed over it. Extremely predictable, dot, dot, dot. Anyway,
- 22:55Speaker 3: then I think I watched Kingston eat a whole tray
- 22:57Speaker 3: of cucumber sushi. Like, girl, are you not full? I
- 23:01Speaker 3: feel like there's going to be a lot of infighting
- 23:03Speaker 3: on this trip between Willow and Kingston. This bit of
- 23:06Speaker 3: the review was my favorite. She wrote, anyway, then after
- 23:09Speaker 3: literally dying of boredom in the lounge, we hopped on
- 23:12Speaker 3: the plane. I was exhausted and tired and hungry. So
- 23:15Speaker 3: then the second we got on the plane, I fell
- 23:17Speaker 3: asleep straight away and slept for eight hours. Your girl
- 23:19Speaker 3: needs beauty sleep. Then the flight attendants handed out muffins
- 23:23Speaker 3: and I got a chocolate muffin and it was amazing.
- 23:25Speaker 3: Definitely recommend. Then for breakfast on the plane, I had
- 23:28Speaker 3: hot crepes with fruit jam and whipped cream. The crepes
- 23:31Speaker 3: were amazing with apple and cinnamon. Like this was insanely delicious.
- 23:35Speaker 3: Like amazing. Anyways, overall, nine out of 10 stars. Amazing
- 23:39Speaker 3: food and I loved it.
- 23:40Speaker 1: This is making me so hungry.
- 23:43Speaker 3: I was just thinking about how depressing it is that
- 23:46Speaker 3: kids just pick up on the way influencers speak.
- 23:48Speaker 5: Yes.
- 23:49Speaker 3: Like some of the phrases, I'm like, you've definitely got
- 23:51Speaker 3: that off TikTok.
- 23:52Speaker 2: And disturbing that she's only 11.
- 23:54Speaker 4: I know.
- 23:54Speaker 3: I was like, this sounds like a 16 year old.
- 23:56Speaker 2: It makes me glad to have boys because I feel
- 23:59Speaker 2: like the boys don't buy into the social media stuff
- 24:01Speaker 2: as much.
- 24:02Speaker 3: Well, everyone says that boys are hard at the beginning,
- 24:04Speaker 3: but then girls are hard when they're teenagers.
- 24:06Speaker 2: Yeah, as soon as I turn 13.
- 24:06Speaker 3: It just depends on the child.
- 24:08Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 24:08Speaker 2: I mean, I was going to say as soon as
- 24:09Speaker 2: I turn 13, but this shit's happening at 11.
- 24:11Speaker 3: In saying that, I think Singapore Airlines would be pretty
- 24:13Speaker 3: chuffed with that review. Young Willow is very hard to impress.
- 24:16Speaker 3: So that's massive for them that she liked their hospitality
- 24:18Speaker 3: on the plane. As you touched on earlier, Amy, I
- 24:21Speaker 3: actually think that perhaps on the way home, she should
- 24:24Speaker 3: travel economy. It might give her a greater appreciation for
- 24:26Speaker 3: business class. They might get a 10 out of 10. Well,
- 24:29Speaker 3: that's where we're going to leave things today. Thank you
- 24:31Speaker 3: for listening to another episode of Outspoken. On Friday, we
- 24:34Speaker 3: have part two of our Tammy Hembree deep dive. I'm
- 24:36Speaker 3: very excited for that episode to drop because I loved
- 24:39Speaker 3: putting it together. forgot about all the drama that surrounded
- 24:43Speaker 3: Tammy and Reese's breakup.
- 24:45Speaker 2: Well, talking about drama, just quickly before we go, I've
- 24:47Speaker 2: got to mention, I noticed that Emily Hembrough dropped a
- 24:50Speaker 2: sneaky like on our recent reel, which was talking about,
- 24:53Speaker 2: of course, Matt and Tammy's breakup and how the sisters
- 24:56Speaker 2: were right about him.
- 24:57Speaker 3: Yeah, I think she basically gave it a big thumbs
- 24:59Speaker 3: up to say, yep, you guys were on point. That's
- 25:01Speaker 3: exactly what me and Amy were thinking. I do need
- 25:03Speaker 3: to point out, I feel like my voice has got
- 25:05Speaker 3: progressively croaky during this episode recording. I started out with
- 25:09Speaker 3: a bit of a scratchy throat. That's always a little
- 25:11Speaker 3: bit of a red flag. So I'll be sipping on
- 25:13Speaker 3: some hot tea with honey. I'll be back for the
- 25:15Speaker 3: subs episode on Thursday, don't you worry. And I'm very excited,
- 25:18Speaker 3: as I said, Tammy Hambro, episode two, dropping on Friday.
- 25:21Speaker 2: And if you did enjoy the podcast, we'd love if
- 25:23Speaker 2: you could leave us a five-star review because it really
- 25:25Speaker 2: helps out the show. This episode was recorded on the
- 25:29Speaker 2: traditional land of the Kaurna people of the Adelaide Plains.
- 25:31Speaker 1: We pay respect to elders past and present.
