- 0:28Good morning from the chicken coop.
- 0:30Ooh, so let's talk about hard work.
- 0:34I often get people who ask me, you know, how do you do so many
- 0:39sessions? How do you have all the animals
- 0:41that you have? How do you keep track of
- 0:44everything that you have going on?
- 0:46And isn't that hard? Isn't that hard work?
- 0:49And I often pause and have to actually ask myself.
- 0:53You know, is this hard? And for me, this is not hard and
- 0:57I'm going to give you my assessment of why It's not hard
- 1:01and it's pretty simple. I think when you're doing
- 1:03something that's aligned with what you love, what's aligned
- 1:08with your soul. What's part of who you are as a
- 1:11person? It's not hard.
- 1:14It might be a lot of work sometimes, but it is definitely
- 1:17not hard because you're putting in an effort to something that
- 1:21means a lot to you. You're putting in an effort to
- 1:23something that just is connected to a different energy in the
- 1:28universe. It's just, you know, it's It's
- 1:30God's work. And for me you know, doing the
- 1:35work that I do coaching being a creative strategist with people
- 1:39helping them come up with the ideas and things for their life,
- 1:43that just makes my heart so full, it actually fills me with
- 1:48energy, it doesn't actually drain me.
- 1:50And you know a lot of people I think get drained by what
- 1:54they're doing because it's not the work that they really wanted
- 1:57to do. I hate can't tell you how much I
- 1:59hear that. At where it's like, well, I
- 2:01didn't really want to start off doing this work, but somehow I
- 2:04ended up doing this work and it just kind of fell into it or,
- 2:09you know, I went to school for this but I ended up doing that
- 2:12instead or something. Worse off when your parents
- 2:16move, you and push you into something where they say this is
- 2:19where you'll make a lot of money.
- 2:20This is what you should do and you should give up what you want
- 2:24to do now. Fortunately for me I did have
- 2:26one of those situations and if you listen This is not the first
- 2:30time I brought it up my dad, pushed me to open my own
- 2:34business. And he did not want me to become
- 2:36a school teacher. Because he felt as though,
- 2:38there's no money in that and he's probably, he was right.
- 2:41You know, there's not a lot of money in that, but I found a way
- 2:44to still stay aligned with what I wanted to do and do this and
- 2:49that I run from it at one point in time.
- 2:50Sure. Was I not confident of my
- 2:53abilities in the beginning. Yes.
- 2:55Did I question lots of things? Absolutely.
- 2:57But somehow, when you align, Line with what you love.
- 3:01It's not hard work and you feel blessed by what you're doing and
- 3:04I can tell you, I can assure you.
- 3:06All I feel incredibly blessed by what I'm doing.
- 3:09I feel incredibly Lucky by what I'm doing.
- 3:11I feel as though there is a huge part of my soul that gets lifted
- 3:16up every day in what I'm doing and I think a lot of us struggle
- 3:20because we are not having those examples.
- 3:22We are not having those things. We do not have that feeling of
- 3:27being lifted up by what we're doing.
- 3:30I I was very fortunate to have a conversation with somebody new a
- 3:33little bit earlier today to me that I had not met before a
- 3:36friend of a friend and she was talking about how much you know
- 3:40she doesn't she doesn't connect with the words portion of life
- 3:45like you know she's like I'm a numbers girl.
- 3:47I just love numbers and I started laughing and I said, I'm
- 3:50just a words. Girl, I can't stand working with
- 3:53numbers and we were laughing about how we both loved what we
- 3:56did, but it was the exact opposite experience for Us
- 4:00because it was something out, you know, just different but yet
- 4:04she could say, oh, I could do this forever or I love, I love
- 4:06doing certain things for my clients.
- 4:08Like when they asked me to do projections and all the stuff
- 4:11she said, I just love doing that with him and you could hear it
- 4:13in her voice. How super excited, she was about
- 4:16it and for me, like, that sounds like a living hell.
- 4:20But for me if someone says well, you know what do you love doing?
- 4:23Oh I love brainstorming with my clients, I love helping them,
- 4:26see themselves, doing things that they never would have
- 4:28thought they would have done it. It just pours energy back in
- 4:32just a different Focus. But back to this hard work, part
- 4:37of the conversation, if the work that you're doing seems hard and
- 4:41it's not fulfilling you and you feel as though you know you're
- 4:45just drudging through every day and you just got to get by or
- 4:49you don't want to do it. Like while I'm out here talking
- 4:51to you and I'm getting them all set for the day I'm working on,
- 4:54changing their kupo. I'm actually carrying a bail of
- 4:57hay right now. I'm talking to you.
- 4:59And I don't look at that. Like that's a hard awful chore.
- 5:05I look at that, like I get to take care of them.
- 5:08I like to take care of them. I like to create this place that
- 5:11special for them and it's just part of the things that make me
- 5:15happy. I don't look at it from
- 5:18drudgery, I don't look at it from the side of emptiness, I
- 5:21don't look at it from the side of, oh God.
- 5:24Now I have to do that. If I had that.
- 5:28Thought I shouldn't be doing what I'm doing.
- 5:31I should be considering something else I should be.
- 5:34Figuring out why I have them and meaning the chickens and what am
- 5:40I doing with it all, I only bring things into my world now
- 5:44that I know are going to lift me up and make me feel good about
- 5:48things and I try to really adjust what doesn't work so that
- 5:53I'm not lying to myself and forcing things because that
- 5:55never works long-term makes you incredibly Unhappy.
- 5:59So I'm going to challenge you to go out there and think about the
- 6:02work that you do the chores, that you have, the things that
- 6:06you have in your life and that you feel are drudgery.
- 6:09Look at them and say, how can I shift this?
- 6:11So it's not drudgery. How can I change my mind about
- 6:14this? How can I change my perspective?
- 6:15Or do I just need to get more aligned with the things that I
- 6:18want to do? You know?
- 6:19Might you might be having a day job that's not ideal for you but
- 6:22that doesn't mean you can't have a side gig that's like pretty
- 6:25awesome and filling your soul and you work towards having that
- 6:28side gig Come your full-time thing, but you've got to know it
- 6:31in order to find it. So, go look for it, seek it out,
- 6:34you know, get away from the things that em to you.
- 6:38And, you know, if it's hard, it's one of those things that
- 6:42you shouldn't feel that way, you know?
- 6:44It's it should be. Yes, it sometimes you have to
- 6:48kick yourself through it if you've got a lot to do but you
- 6:51should feel on the other side like I'm doing a purposeful job.
- 6:54So I hope you guys have a very blessed day and I will see you
- 6:57tomorrow.
