- 0:00[SPEAKER_01]: The dirty that physically that's strong.
- 0:02[SPEAKER_01]: For me, it's really scary times for rest of the things.
- 0:04[SPEAKER_01]: It's not promising, isn't it?
- 0:05[SPEAKER_01]: It's not promising whatsoever.
- 0:07[SPEAKER_01]: But I think defensively, you're not at all very, very late.
- 0:10[SPEAKER_01]: Martin O'Neighard returning to his best form.
- 0:12[SPEAKER_01]: The guy's the conductor of that team.
- 0:13[SPEAKER_01]: The JP Morgan shot on Sundays.
- 0:15[SPEAKER_02]: That makes the name as terrible.
- 0:16[SPEAKER_02]: Even the great Joe's Emory Neal cannot handle this dressing room.
- 0:20[SPEAKER_02]: He's coming again.
- 0:20[SPEAKER_02]: Now I feel like he got a little soft.
- 0:22[SPEAKER_03]: What a comeback.
- 0:25[SPEAKER_03]: Even the sunboard doesn't agree with you.
- 0:27[SPEAKER_03]: Welcome back, welcome back.
- 0:29[SPEAKER_03]: Welcome back.
- 0:29[SPEAKER_03]: This is Sports Illustrated Football Club.
- 0:32[SPEAKER_03]: You're weekly show.
- 0:32[SPEAKER_03]: You're on Sports Illustrated season 2.
- 0:35[SPEAKER_03]: I'm Alexandra Emiti.
- 0:36[SPEAKER_03]: And as always, as always, with me two goats, two goats of the football Ponditri and the title race in Serie A is already alive in the studio.
- 0:47[SPEAKER_03]: With an intergencing.
- 0:48[SPEAKER_02]: Leah's music.
- 0:49[SPEAKER_02]: How are we?
- 0:49[SPEAKER_02]: I need to find a lens from somewhere, without the moment.
- 0:52[SPEAKER_02]: International Literate.
- 0:53[SPEAKER_02]: No, all jokes aside.
- 0:54[SPEAKER_02]: Pleasure to be back.
- 0:56[SPEAKER_02]: Pleasure to be back in the studio with you guys as well too.
- 0:58[SPEAKER_02]: And I can't wait to do another season of this month.
- 1:00[SPEAKER_03]: On the other side, you and the story are doing great tomorrow.
- 1:04[SPEAKER_03]: To answer to the ads, look at all of you.
- 1:06[SPEAKER_03]: How are we, look at?
- 1:08[SPEAKER_01]: Now, a bit upset about the draw last night to me, and guys, but when news are drawn, the ways represent and glad to be back as well, can't wait to get into it.
- 1:15[SPEAKER_03]: Guys, I left you in New York, running, running, down in the underground, water joke, and you know what a joke.
- 1:24[SPEAKER_03]: Since we're talking about joke, let me introduce you our beautiful Dutch boys.
- 1:28[SPEAKER_03]: Done, how are we?
- 1:30[SPEAKER_00]: Very good ally, good to be back in London.
- 1:32[SPEAKER_00]: We spent quite a lot of time together than we in America over the summer.
- 1:36[SPEAKER_00]: Probably more time than I spent in my family, but I can't say it was bad, we had a good time.
- 1:42[SPEAKER_03]: I can say the same, and especially showed out in and out burger, water burger.
- 1:47[SPEAKER_00]: It was good.
- 1:48[SPEAKER_00]: What a place.
- 1:49[SPEAKER_03]: Guys, I was the rest of the summer.
- 1:51[SPEAKER_02]: I'm just shut down and I'm not gonna laugh the world cup.
- 1:53[SPEAKER_02]: No football, no nothing, lock in, and now the season starts.
- 1:57[SPEAKER_02]: We do it all over again, man.
- 1:58[SPEAKER_02]: But after the world cup is an amazing experience of you guys.
- 2:01[SPEAKER_02]: But I think for the first time in my life, I was tired of football.
- 2:04[SPEAKER_02]: Seriously, I was tired of football, man.
- 2:06[SPEAKER_02]: We did every single day we were doing this show.
- 2:07[SPEAKER_01]: Come on, man.
- 2:08[SPEAKER_01]: It was crazy.
- 2:09[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, no, it was weird, really, because we just wind down.
- 2:14[SPEAKER_01]: There was no football ready to talk about no games, nothing I felt a little bit meaningless.
- 2:20[SPEAKER_03]: Are you excited about the Juventus transfer window?
- 2:25[SPEAKER_01]: You know, we made a lot of signings, right?
- 2:27[SPEAKER_01]: But for me, I think the season will be similar to last.
- 2:31[SPEAKER_01]: I do think realistically you will push for top four.
- 2:33[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think much will change.
- 2:34[SPEAKER_03]: Push in for top four.
- 2:36[SPEAKER_03]: Of course, Leiaz wanted to came and bring in peace in the studio and showing off.
- 2:43[SPEAKER_03]: the favorite for the title raising in Italy season.
- 2:45[SPEAKER_03]: We're going to talk about Seria later, because we have a lot to talk about, and you show a new section, a lot of surprises for you.
- 2:52[SPEAKER_03]: Stay with us.
- 2:53[SPEAKER_03]: Please like, subscribe, comments.
- 2:57[SPEAKER_03]: And we can get a let's start from there, of course, from the big match of the weekend.
- 3:05[SPEAKER_03]: London, steel, red, great performance from the arsenal, great performance from Martin Odega.
- 3:13[SPEAKER_02]: He's back.
- 3:14[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, he is back.
- 3:15[SPEAKER_02]: He started the season, like a man who was on a mission, right?
- 3:19[SPEAKER_02]: Arsenal won the league last season, but I would have said they probably wanted to spite him rather than because of him.
- 3:24[SPEAKER_02]: But this year, I don't know whether it's because he's playing more freedom or less expectation or maybe he's just the first season where he probably feels injury free.
- 3:33[SPEAKER_02]: Martin Odegard has started the season possessed and I do think that there's a direct correlation between Arsenal playing their best football that they've played in a long time and Martin Odegard returning to his best form because the guy's the conductor of that team.
- 3:45[SPEAKER_02]: They kind of go from a stylistic point of view where he takes them.
- 3:49[SPEAKER_02]: So I think the whole league kind of has to be worried when Odegard's playing like this because now all of a sudden Arsenal not only are a really ruthless team but they're a team that from a footballing point of view they can pop you off the park and I think that's
- 4:01[SPEAKER_03]: as the work-up helped him to became the best version of himself.
- 4:06[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, for me, it's way to avoid a guy, because I definitely have been a Christian Confess, like, I'm not shine away from that.
- 4:12[SPEAKER_01]: I think the Oda God Resort in 2223, 2324, was sort of lost in the last two seasons.
- 4:17[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think he was operating at the same wavelength, so I definitely think he's playing with a chip on his shoulder.
- 4:21[SPEAKER_01]: but in a good world cup campaign, I feel we ended last season pretty well as well and it started like a like you said Leo's a man possessed and I definitely think there is a clear correlation I totally agree with him when Oda Guides at his best, Arsenal playing that beautiful football and I'm looking at his Arsenal side, I'm sure we'll touch upon the way that they won as well.
- 4:37[SPEAKER_01]: For me, guys, they've become, they're not becoming it, but they're turning into this final form team.
- 4:44[SPEAKER_01]: Like, and I say that because in the early 2010s with Van Gogh, Austin, they weren't winning trophies, but they were playing beautiful football.
- 4:50[SPEAKER_01]: You could be guaranteed at that.
- 4:51[SPEAKER_01]: Same in the 22, 23, and 23, 24, 24 season.
- 4:54[SPEAKER_01]: They were playing fun, expansive, possession-based football, beat in teams on the pitch, right?
- 5:00[SPEAKER_01]: But the trophies weren't correlating to it.
- 5:02[SPEAKER_01]: And I remember the big criticism from pandits and people in general was,
- 5:07[SPEAKER_01]: they're too easily bullied, you know, they're physically weak, other teams were just bigger than them.
- 5:11[SPEAKER_01]: And I think our tetra adopted a side, and a lot of the sign is kind of resembled that team that you wanted to become.
- 5:16[SPEAKER_01]: The spine is extremely physically strong, both from like just a stature point of view, but also from a mental point of view.
- 5:22[SPEAKER_01]: And last season they won, they got over the line, not playing the most beautiful style of football, but at the end of the day, I don't think it really matters how you win.
- 5:29[SPEAKER_01]: But this year we're seeing a team that is like last season, very physically imposing,
- 5:35[SPEAKER_01]: I might met a player against the dirty, their physical, their strong, for also playing this expansive football that we used to see in a club like Arsenal play.
- 5:45[SPEAKER_01]: So it's, for me, it's really scary times for the rest of the teams.
- 5:48[SPEAKER_03]: Do you think that inside the dressing room they're thinking, look, Manchester United started a new cycle under Michael Carrick, Manchester City are rebuilding, Chelsea are rebuilding, Liverpool, they got a new manager, East time to do a back-to-back, East time to keep going.
- 6:10[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, but it's never that simple right there's always a team that comes out of nowhere Like how many teams can we actually think of that just one the league by a canter right like we can think of city and in 1718 But no one maybe saw Liverpool the year before coming out of nowhere and doing what they did No one saw arsenal even coming in 2223 and doing what they did so there's the football has never as black and away as Oh, you have a team and you're just going to dominate even teams who have diagnostic reigns still have challengers and I still look at a team like city for example
- 6:39[SPEAKER_02]: And I think there's some things I need to work on.
- 6:40[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know if we're going to talk about that game or not, but defensively, I think there are still some issues, but when I look at the firepower that team has, there's no way you can convince me that that city team is going to finish 15 points by an arsenal.
- 6:49[SPEAKER_02]: And I think that's some of the conversations that are happening.
- 6:52[SPEAKER_02]: I think arsenal are the favorites for this league, and they should look at this as an opportunity to really make this era their own, because even in the vanguard days, they never went back to back.
- 7:01[SPEAKER_02]: So this is an opportunity to do so, but football's never that simple.
- 7:04[SPEAKER_02]: It's never that simple that everything just lines up for you.
- 7:09[SPEAKER_02]: Commanding performance, I felt it was a statement that they made almost just to stamp out this early Chelsea gas Chelsea of sort of the season nice, right?
- 7:17[SPEAKER_02]: J. J. P. Morgan, CPR.
- 7:19[SPEAKER_02]: They needed CPR this weekend, right?
- 7:21[SPEAKER_02]: They needed it didn't to be safe Arsenal just extinguish that and I think that's the most impressive thing about it That's second half.
- 7:28[SPEAKER_02]: It didn't feel like a team that came to the Emirates and and felt like they were gonna upset the apple card No, they they they put a stop to that and quite convincing fashion
- 7:39[SPEAKER_03]: Look, if I quickly look back at the transfer window and at the past season, we talk about the depth of the arsenal.
- 7:49[SPEAKER_03]: This summer, they lost Martinelli, they lost Rosad, they lost the Gabriel Jesus, and they got sawless in.
- 7:56[SPEAKER_03]: Do you think, guys, they have the depth for the squad to compete in both front because, of course, they also watch the World Champions League finalists.
- 8:03[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's interesting.
- 8:04[SPEAKER_01]: We spoke about this last week, did I remember when we were ranking every club's transfer window.
- 8:08[SPEAKER_01]: And I can, on the one hand, I understand when people say Arsenal probably needed another option out wide, having lost Trussard and Martin Alley, despite the fact that I think that Solis is better than both, like, as of now.
- 8:18[SPEAKER_01]: But I still think there may be lacking in terms of depth in that position.
- 8:21[SPEAKER_01]: But again, there's always the January market where we're going to evaluate where Arsenal are at in the league.
- 8:27[SPEAKER_01]: obviously the Champions League knockout stage is going to be coming up at that point, but I still think this Arsenal team is more than capable to compete on all fronts and when every single trophy available with the squad that they have.
- 8:36[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think Arsenal's market was bad in such I like the sign as a concert, Bruno G. Solis.
- 8:42[SPEAKER_01]: I think maybe they could have added that star name, that people were talking about the Vinny Junior was obviously that link was there.
- 8:49[SPEAKER_01]: Morgan Rodgers, they could have got, they didn't opt for him.
- 8:52[SPEAKER_01]: Even an NG, they could have offered a
- 8:55[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I still think, as of now, they are the favorite to win the Premier League, and they're still more than capable of this squad that they have to win in every trophy.
- 9:03[SPEAKER_02]: I think they've been weak in in that sense.
- 9:05[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think you any team with their hopes of competing on all fronts can lose three attackers and bring one in.
- 9:11[SPEAKER_02]: No matter how injury-pronged Jesus was, no matter how inconsistency Martin Ali was, Martin Ali still scored six goals for them in the Champions League last season.
- 9:17[SPEAKER_02]: That's a body.
- 9:18[SPEAKER_02]: I don't like the fact from their point of view that they let those guys go without
- 9:26[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, look, people can applaud their ambition for going after Vinnie and Alvarez and this and that, but I think that they didn't get any of these guys and I think if you had told an arsenal fan at the end of last season when everybody was saying their attack was the weakest point of the team that you're going to go into the next season.
- 9:41[SPEAKER_02]: Three attackers don't.
- 9:43[SPEAKER_02]: I think overall you can say you like Joel is right over but for me when you lose three you bring one in you haven't strengthened in that in that regard miracle But even from like a goals at the end of the season point of view like as Joel is on his own Going to match their productivity like if he does that he's had an amazing season Trust hard the goals he gave you and big games as well I think from that point of view it might hurt them in their quest to go for competitions deep which is what they did last year, right?
- 10:06[SPEAKER_02]: They practically played every single game available to them, bar maybe the FA Cup.
- 10:11[SPEAKER_02]: I think losing those numbers in attack, that could be something that in those other competitions goes on to hurt them unless they were in January.
- 10:18[SPEAKER_02]: But in the Premier League, I would agree with you.
- 10:20[SPEAKER_02]: I think they still have enough to win this competition.
- 10:23[SPEAKER_02]: Although I do, I maintain, I don't think it's going to be a kickwalk.
- 10:27[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, and what are you expectation on Bruno, for example?
- 10:31[SPEAKER_02]: Give us, for me Bruno Gamers is one of the best midfielder in the world.
- 10:35[SPEAKER_02]: I've thought for a while now that you just kind of wasted on your castle, and I look at most teams in the world.
- 10:42[SPEAKER_02]: I think he gets into almost every single one of them.
- 10:44[SPEAKER_02]: And the fact that now this guy has come to Arsenal, and the first three games the season, he's being used sparingly.
- 10:50[SPEAKER_02]: because he's come back from injury, but be because the come out with scaly and as many as coming off the bench, that just shows you that the depth Arsenal have.
- 10:57[SPEAKER_02]: So what are my expectations for him?
- 10:58[SPEAKER_02]: I think as the season goes on, his role will grow even more in big Champions League games where they want to play Bruno and Tekken Rice.
- 11:04[SPEAKER_02]: That's where you're going to really see Arsenal at their strongest.
- 11:07[SPEAKER_02]: I think the beauty of Arsenal is that these guys are big players, but the expectation for them to just dominate from day one isn't as strong as if you had joined Man United or Liverpool, for example, where all of a sudden he's coming at the save their midfield.
- 11:19[SPEAKER_02]: He's just coming into a team that's already strong and he's just strengthening even more.
- 11:23[SPEAKER_03]: And look, if we take a look at the opponent Chelsea under Shabby Alonso, of course, they started a new cycle, they lost, and so for Nandas, they tried to recruit and the Lami in Camarara or Manukone on that line day, what do you think of the middle and what do you think, especially of the front tree, because we saw something really promising in the first match day.
- 11:45[SPEAKER_01]: You know, on the attack will start there.
- 11:47[SPEAKER_01]: I really like that attack with like Leah said was a JP Morgan You know, I saw some comments people say JP Morgan shot on Sunday.
- 11:53[SPEAKER_01]: Then there's been a terror You're like this.
- 11:55[SPEAKER_02]: So shit.
- 11:56[SPEAKER_02]: Seriously.
- 11:57[SPEAKER_02]: Come on.
- 11:57[SPEAKER_02]: Let's be a JP Morgan.
- 11:58[SPEAKER_02]: I think I'll get what do you face better?
- 12:00[SPEAKER_02]: CPR.
- 12:00[SPEAKER_01]: You said CPR is way better.
- 12:01[SPEAKER_02]: But call Call Pedro Rogers Yeah, JP Morgan Seriously man.
- 12:08[SPEAKER_02]: Come on.
- 12:08[SPEAKER_02]: They're named after a bank Has anyone been into a bank by his bank?
- 12:12[SPEAKER_01]: Everyone knows that bank to be fair.
- 12:13[SPEAKER_01]: It's got aura
- 12:14[SPEAKER_01]: It's a big.
- 12:15[SPEAKER_01]: How could a bank have aura, man?
- 12:16[SPEAKER_01]: JP Morgan is a big time, everyone knows it.
- 12:19[SPEAKER_01]: When you think of a bank, you think JP Morgan is.
- 12:20[SPEAKER_01]: Oh my, man.
- 12:21[SPEAKER_01]: Anybody sound a fuck.
- 12:24[SPEAKER_03]: Respect, boy, what am I respecting a bank?
- 12:25[SPEAKER_03]: Eh?
- 12:26[SPEAKER_03]: A bank?
- 12:26[SPEAKER_02]: No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no
- 12:38[SPEAKER_03]: We got to see people as actually a very good nickname, right?
- 12:42[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, man.
- 12:43[SPEAKER_03]: We love it.
- 12:43[SPEAKER_02]: We're going to resuscitate Chelsea.
- 12:45[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, so that's all about that.
- 12:46[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 12:47[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, JP Morgan.
- 12:49[SPEAKER_02]: Here we go.
- 12:49[SPEAKER_02]: We're going to call them CPR.
- 12:50[SPEAKER_02]: Has anyone been ever been threatened by banking?
- 12:53[SPEAKER_02]: Or have been scared of banking?
- 12:54[SPEAKER_01]: People would have, I don't know, they have to pay up loans, bro.
- 12:56[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 12:57[SPEAKER_01]: They're scared of me.
- 12:57[SPEAKER_02]: That's just financial.
- 12:58[SPEAKER_02]: That's just financial.
- 12:59[SPEAKER_02]: You're responsible to booty.
- 13:00[SPEAKER_02]: That's what you do with a bank, bro.
- 13:01[SPEAKER_01]: Like the house, the bank could take the house.
- 13:03[SPEAKER_02]: We're not taking any of those.
- 13:03[SPEAKER_01]: Could take the kids.
- 13:05[SPEAKER_01]: Potentially.
- 13:06[SPEAKER_01]: You know, the banks could be a problem.
- 13:07[SPEAKER_02]: That's what Morgan Rodger's co-power and job had to work.
- 13:11[SPEAKER_02]: They're going to take me to debt.
- 13:13[SPEAKER_02]: That's what we're saying.
- 13:13[SPEAKER_01]: I cost Chociel a lot of money to be fair as well.
- 13:15[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 13:16[SPEAKER_01]: I don't really care too much about the nickname, but I like the attack a lot.
- 13:19[SPEAKER_01]: I saw the start.
- 13:19[SPEAKER_01]: What was it?
- 13:20[SPEAKER_01]: They're the first team in Premier League history to score in each of the first five minutes of the first three games I've ever known.
- 13:25[SPEAKER_01]: They come out being for blood, man.
- 13:27[SPEAKER_01]: They're really expansive from free.
- 13:30[SPEAKER_01]: They move around really well.
- 13:31[SPEAKER_01]: It seems like they compliment each other so well as well.
- 13:33[SPEAKER_01]: It's almost like they've been playing together for so, so long.
- 13:35[SPEAKER_01]: And I think Roger's time tale, but I think he'll be one of the sons of the summer.
- 13:39[SPEAKER_01]: Regarding the midfield though, I think they're definitely lacking there.
- 13:43[SPEAKER_01]: For quite a large portion of that match, they're playing reshames and gusts, though, two right max and a double pivot which.
- 13:48[SPEAKER_01]: His worry, naturally I know Kaisedo was out and Kaisedo was really the linchpin in that midfield.
- 13:52[SPEAKER_01]: He's brought the glues together, he's that best midfielder.
- 13:55[SPEAKER_01]: By losing Enzo Fananders, whether you think the fee was too much from that, I personally think it was too much.
- 14:00[SPEAKER_01]: They're losing an important part of that team.
- 14:02[SPEAKER_01]: They're losing one of their better players.
- 14:03[SPEAKER_01]: I think they did really need to replace him.
- 14:05[SPEAKER_01]: And obviously they went for corner, but I'm not saying no, they want to come out of that deal fell through.
- 14:09[SPEAKER_01]: So I think they really needed to sign another midfield in that regard.
- 14:11[SPEAKER_01]: Even like losing Andre Santos at the start of the window,
- 14:15[SPEAKER_01]: That's enough of a man down, but I think you even mentioned it to be found on the show we did last week.
- 14:19[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think they expected them to, or Chelsea to be in that situation come the end of the window.
- 14:24[SPEAKER_01]: I felt like they probably for our under-centals was just almost like an extra man in that midfield.
- 14:29[SPEAKER_01]: It may be good.
- 14:29[SPEAKER_02]: This goes back and it's like the same thing for Barcelona, even though this one is more impactful, because midfield you can't afford to have less bodies.
- 14:35[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 14:35[SPEAKER_02]: You can't look too guys go and bring no one else in.
- 14:39[SPEAKER_02]: you're getting worse, but whether you rate the players or not, there's still bodies that can play in midfield.
- 14:43[SPEAKER_02]: They ended that game yesterday with Reese James and Mallow Gusto in Field.
- 14:47[SPEAKER_03]: No, Mallow.
- 14:48[SPEAKER_03]: And my point is, I mean, you're a Chelsea before signing and giving a end so that you can be alive to join Manchester City.
- 14:57[SPEAKER_03]: You have to have a clam理.
- 14:58[SPEAKER_03]: 100% and you can't wait.
- 15:00[SPEAKER_02]: And for me, waiting till the last day of the window to sell Enzo for a fee that realistic the, you would have gotten around earlier in the window, right?
- 15:08[SPEAKER_02]: They were, they were wrestling with city back and forth because they wanted 140 million and they wanted 130 and they set along on 25.
- 15:14[SPEAKER_02]: Hey, he should have been gone a week ago.
- 15:16[SPEAKER_02]: You should have brought in your target and you shouldn't have been scrambling up the last minute.
- 15:19[SPEAKER_02]: What monaco did is probably on professional.
- 15:21[SPEAKER_02]: By the time of the day, this is the risk you take when you're leaving things for the last day of the window.
- 15:24[SPEAKER_02]: And it went from what I felt was like an amazing 10 out of 10 window from Chelsea.
- 15:28[SPEAKER_02]: To now a window where I think they've left themselves a little bit short.
- 15:31[SPEAKER_02]: On the subject of the front three, I felt they were really pouring this game though.
- 15:34[SPEAKER_02]: I felt Arsenal's front three actually outperform them.
- 15:36[SPEAKER_02]: And my worry for Chelsea is,
- 15:38[SPEAKER_02]: There's so much reliance on these three players to win them games, as has shown in the first three games, right?
- 15:43[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, they score a lot of goals.
- 15:45[SPEAKER_02]: They can see the lot as well too.
- 15:46[SPEAKER_02]: So, you're asking for these guys to almost bill you out of trouble every single week.
- 15:50[SPEAKER_02]: I watched Salah Manan Firmino in 1718, scored loads of goals for our Liverpool.
- 15:55[SPEAKER_02]: Salah broke the Premier League record this for a season.
- 15:57[SPEAKER_02]: They finished fourth.
- 15:58[SPEAKER_02]: It wasn't until they got Van Dyke and Fabienio and Alison, that all of a sudden they became a great team.
- 16:04[SPEAKER_02]: And if I'll do respect to these guys, Salah Firmino and Mani are better than Joa Pedro Palmer and Rogers.
- 16:09[SPEAKER_02]: And they just about got you fourth of that team.
- 16:11[SPEAKER_02]: I look at this.
- 16:12[SPEAKER_02]: You've got a lot on your hands if you're relying on them to win a game every single week.
- 16:16[SPEAKER_02]: And if they play the way they did yesterday, I must show how sustainable that is.
- 16:19[SPEAKER_01]: I like those plays that you mentioned.
- 16:21[SPEAKER_01]: I live football and keep all sent a back.
- 16:23[SPEAKER_01]: Number six.
- 16:23[SPEAKER_01]: This is the spot on your team.
- 16:24[SPEAKER_01]: This is spot on your team.
- 16:25[SPEAKER_01]: Midfield, they don't have.
- 16:27[SPEAKER_01]: Sent about, because I think they're weak.
- 16:28[SPEAKER_01]: I think Akia and Pong's are best sent about.
- 16:30[SPEAKER_01]: I rate him highly, but I think who did they start for Fana and Lekua, Lekua, not fans of them?
- 16:35[SPEAKER_02]: Lekua, I think it's good.
- 16:36[SPEAKER_02]: Good sent about you.
- 16:36[SPEAKER_02]: I wouldn't say he's like, stand up.
- 16:37[SPEAKER_01]: No, he don't move.
- 16:38[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, he's not really, I don't think he's like, for them, he's not moving.
- 16:40[SPEAKER_02]: I know the time.
- 16:41[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but for me, I'm still looking at the defense I'm thinking they're leaking way too many charms.
- 16:44[SPEAKER_02]: He's, he was, that's what I would say is like, a transformative defender, but he definitely is just a, yeah.
- 16:50[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, in terms of death, but again, being the start and guy main guy, I'm not too sure.
- 16:58[SPEAKER_01]: I think you should have done better on the first comment.
- 17:00[SPEAKER_02]: I think you also have enough to make top four, especially because the fact that they're competing in one game a week.
- 17:04[SPEAKER_02]: But I just think the talk of potentially winning the title was happening around the end.
- 17:08[SPEAKER_02]: I was not the one.
- 17:09[SPEAKER_02]: I just...
- 17:11[SPEAKER_02]: You never say never, right?
- 17:12[SPEAKER_02]: But when I look at what Arsenal have in terms of their depth, I'm looking at Arsenal yesterday, bring on him, capier, and Zubimendi, and Brazil, Jesus, I even come off the bench, and Isaiah's not even coming off the bench.
- 17:20[SPEAKER_02]: That shows you the strength and depth that they have.
- 17:22[SPEAKER_02]: Winning a title isn't just about you're starting 11.
- 17:24[SPEAKER_02]: It's about the squad that you have.
- 17:26[SPEAKER_02]: And when I look at Chelsea's squad compared to Arsenal's squad, and then you had the experience, and then you had the, I just think Chelsea, for me, are at least a year away from, from seriously winning a league.
- 17:35[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, let me quote champion Ogas Perini tell he said football is now changed Yeah, you don't need to rely on 11 players for a game.
- 17:44[SPEAKER_02]: You need to be fair.
- 17:45[SPEAKER_02]: Like that's always been the case Right if you want it if you really want to be a seriously top team you got you have to have a score I remember a man United for example There's one year where John O'Shea is our starting right back and the next year was Brown is our starting right back And then there's again for flutters coming in in park and carrot and
- 17:58[SPEAKER_02]: You have to use the entire squad.
- 17:59[SPEAKER_02]: You can't win and compete on all fronts with 11 players.
- 18:02[SPEAKER_02]: It's impossible unless that is impossible.
- 18:05[SPEAKER_02]: PSG showed that for years they had a great 11 and then their bench players were absolute randoms and it was only until they really built a 25-man squad where everyone could contribute where they'd become the best team in the world.
- 18:18[SPEAKER_02]: We don't have to excercise it.
- 18:19[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, seriously.
- 18:20[SPEAKER_02]: Since you mentioned it.
- 18:21[SPEAKER_03]: You know, I love the segue.
- 18:22[SPEAKER_03]: So, I mean, I was quite surprised to see Michael and I was scoring a scream, I mean, because he could be very weak when he was at the room.
- 18:32[SPEAKER_03]: Wow, credit to him, but what do we think?
- 18:37[SPEAKER_03]: What did you make of this start of your team?
- 18:39[SPEAKER_02]: Well, first three games, one win.
- 18:41[SPEAKER_02]: And we played two newly promoted teams on the side that has like 18 players.
- 18:46[SPEAKER_02]: It's not promising, isn't it?
- 18:47[SPEAKER_02]: It's not promising whatsoever.
- 18:49[SPEAKER_02]: I think Man United have made what should have been a really straightforward start to the season, extremely difficult, and now it doesn't get much tougher than Manchester City coming to town.
- 18:58[SPEAKER_02]: So I haven't really been impressed with Man United to start the season.
- 19:01[SPEAKER_02]: I wasn't impressed with the window, and I think they need to get their act together very, very quickly.
- 19:05[SPEAKER_02]: Otherwise, I think we're in for a difficult season.
- 19:08[SPEAKER_03]: Difficult season.
- 19:09[SPEAKER_03]: Luca, you wasn't in your trouble.
- 19:12[SPEAKER_03]: What do you think are they going to compete?
- 19:14[SPEAKER_03]: What do we expect from these season from now?
- 19:17[SPEAKER_03]: Nice to carry.
- 19:18[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't expect them to compete for the Premier League title either.
- 19:20[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't think so.
- 19:21[SPEAKER_02]: You mean neither, by the way, let me make that very clear.
- 19:23[SPEAKER_02]: I did not expect them to compete.
- 19:25[SPEAKER_02]: But I expected a bit of this.
- 19:26[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I didn't expect this part of style.
- 19:28[SPEAKER_01]: I think like Leah said, really, those three games at the start of season, you're looking at thinking, there's not many more favorable teams you'd want to play at the start of the season.
- 19:36[SPEAKER_01]: Two newly promoted sides.
- 19:37[SPEAKER_01]: I never tuned that.
- 19:39[SPEAKER_01]: with all your respect to them, didn't have a good market whatsoever.
- 19:42[SPEAKER_01]: I thought they'd have a really, really poor market and they went backwards in such.
- 19:46[SPEAKER_01]: And you know, I'd have only picked up four points.
- 19:48[SPEAKER_01]: And I don't personally understand the transfer strategy.
- 19:52[SPEAKER_01]: It seemed like last year, they were very dependent and went heavy on the final further, bringing an imbumo, couldn't your sesco.
- 19:59[SPEAKER_01]: This year's been the midfield, Santos, T-Lamons, Balabah, who's still yet to play.
- 20:03[SPEAKER_01]: I think you'll definitely be a massive upgrade when he does come into the team.
- 20:09[SPEAKER_01]: The wing backs, sure, he's way past it, in my opinion.
- 20:12[SPEAKER_01]: I think he can't be playing at the level anymore.
- 20:14[SPEAKER_01]: And even the right back situation, right wing back situation.
- 20:16[SPEAKER_01]: Dalo, I don't think is good enough.
- 20:18[SPEAKER_01]: Masra, we, I don't rate personally.
- 20:20[SPEAKER_01]: And then I think even a center back, you could have done that.
- 20:22[SPEAKER_01]: I think defensively, you're knighted out very, very weak.
- 20:25[SPEAKER_01]: Very, very weak.
- 20:25[SPEAKER_01]: And I think that's what really makes all breaks aside.
- 20:28[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm looking at this unite team, and I'm thinking, the seed, and for me, looking at them, is pushing for top four, like did it last year.
- 20:34[SPEAKER_03]: What do you expect from the game against Manchester City?
- 20:38[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know what to expect.
- 20:39[SPEAKER_02]: Man United in these games.
- 20:40[SPEAKER_02]: They've shown that they counter attack, sit back, soak up pressure, and then hit you on the break.
- 20:45[SPEAKER_02]: I look at City, I think defensively right now they're playing almost one mid-fielder, right?
- 20:49[SPEAKER_02]: Elliott Anderson, he's on an island back there, Calvin Tree hit them with a few transitions.
- 20:52[SPEAKER_02]: So, genuinely, could Man United win this game?
- 20:55[SPEAKER_02]: Absolutely.
- 20:55[SPEAKER_02]: Last season, we battered them.
- 20:57[SPEAKER_02]: On the other hand, could match their city seriously come in and cause us a bit of an embarrassment, 100%.
- 21:03[SPEAKER_02]: And that's the problem for United.
- 21:08[SPEAKER_03]: and look at what we expect and I want to also your thoughts on the rebuilt of the midfield from Manchester City.
- 21:15[SPEAKER_01]: So it's an interesting one because they spent over a hundred million on three midfielder's the Waddy Elianison and Zofana Anders.
- 21:23[SPEAKER_01]: I really liked Elianison.
- 21:24[SPEAKER_01]: Are the Elianison could get into a 99% of teams in the world?
- 21:30[SPEAKER_01]: But I likely I said he hasn't really had that support yet where it's almost like a single pivot midfield there.
- 21:34[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think Enzo and the double pivot works massively well.
- 21:38[SPEAKER_01]: I like the Wadi, but I think they're definitely getable and they leaked a lot of chances against Coventry.
- 21:43[SPEAKER_01]: If it wasn't for a G-June goal, it's more like a little bit bad.
- 21:46[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 21:46[SPEAKER_01]: He pulled off some top-top saves.
- 21:47[SPEAKER_01]: Now Grant did G-June's own problems when it comes to playing out from the back and weren't not.
- 21:51[SPEAKER_01]: But shot scoping wise, he's still one of the best in the league.
- 21:55[SPEAKER_01]: Do agree, I think they're getable in the middle of the park.
- 21:57[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think they're untouched.
- 21:58[SPEAKER_01]: I think losing rodaries are big, big loss for them there.
- 22:01[SPEAKER_01]: I like Eddie Anson though.
- 22:02[SPEAKER_01]: I think Boadi over time will come good.
- 22:04[SPEAKER_01]: Enzo I think he needs to be forever up the pitch.
- 22:06[SPEAKER_01]: I just think that double pivot doesn't suit him massively.
- 22:08[SPEAKER_02]: You're going to have to play twos on mid.
- 22:09[SPEAKER_02]: They're going to have a better game.
- 22:11[SPEAKER_02]: You go to Old Trafford.
- 22:11[SPEAKER_02]: You go one midfield there.
- 22:13[SPEAKER_02]: I'm sorry.
- 22:13[SPEAKER_02]: I was much more a time of that than United.
- 22:15[SPEAKER_02]: Man United can skinny you.
- 22:16[SPEAKER_02]: If you go to town with one midfield here, then it's not just you.
- 22:18[SPEAKER_01]: But even against commentary.
- 22:20[SPEAKER_01]: like against any team.
- 22:21[SPEAKER_01]: So I think that's a sort of area that Maresca has really got a look at and think, okay, how do I outline this?
- 22:26[SPEAKER_01]: Because in the first games, we saw gay heat play there, we saw a bunch of different change, but I think you need to support that earlier, Amazon.
- 22:34[SPEAKER_03]: No, it's interesting.
- 22:36[SPEAKER_03]: Of course, as we say, Beach Wizard, we always tell the truth, you know what?
- 22:40[SPEAKER_03]: Since we have some new,
- 22:44[SPEAKER_03]: and you'll lay out in the show.
- 22:45[SPEAKER_03]: Let me go to Dan, what's going to explain, what we do, where we go, what kind of thing we're going to do now.
- 22:52[SPEAKER_00]: Right, well, we're going to be moving now onto football that makes you feel alive.
- 22:57[SPEAKER_00]: So reasons that we all get into this sport and grow to love it, we're going to pick out some moments, each week that really make us feel alive as football fans.
- 23:07[SPEAKER_00]: So Ale, what have you got for us?
- 23:09[SPEAKER_03]: You know, when I feel alive, when Alaminyamal, all of the goalkeeper, without sight of the fault, and the keeper is on the line.
- 23:17[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, it's nonsense.
- 23:19[SPEAKER_01]: I keep us all around.
- 23:20[SPEAKER_01]: I'm so bad.
- 23:21[SPEAKER_01]: I'm sorry.
- 23:22[SPEAKER_01]: Let me just joke my God.
- 23:24[SPEAKER_01]: Well, if I did this, guys, you don't, you don't Valencia.
- 23:27[SPEAKER_01]: I think I sort of start when if you see the, like, he plus goals in the last six times that they face past 11.
- 23:32[SPEAKER_01]: No bad, that is.
- 23:33[SPEAKER_02]: It's so sad we weren't as big on the line.
- 23:35[SPEAKER_02]: It's an easy six point.
- 23:36[SPEAKER_02]: Jenny and his sister.
- 23:36[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 23:37[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 23:37[SPEAKER_02]: He's a fence riding at the end.
- 23:39[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, especially if you think probably it's going to be the last season of Mastaya and the ground is Aniconic and iconic grounders on the Champions League, you know, especially in the early 2000s.
- 23:50[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, but Barcelona In Barcelona for me a play against themselves guys in terms of the league.
- 23:57[SPEAKER_02]: I completely agree man I I just look at how much of a unit they are no ego in that team so much quality.
- 24:04[SPEAKER_02]: I mean Roger
- 24:08[SPEAKER_02]: You know, sometimes a player is just born to play for a club.
- 24:11[SPEAKER_02]: Like, Rolldry at Barcelona just looks so right.
- 24:13[SPEAKER_02]: I look at him and I'm like, it feels like you've been playing here for years.
- 24:15[SPEAKER_02]: It's almost like, why haven't you been at Barcelona this entire time?
- 24:18[SPEAKER_02]: So you're adding that to a team that already last season of Eligo with far and away the best side.
- 24:23[SPEAKER_02]: And now you're looking at even like the addition of Anthony Gordon.
- 24:25[SPEAKER_02]: He's hit the ground running.
- 24:26[SPEAKER_02]: Had to yell at me coming off the bench.
- 24:27[SPEAKER_02]: Fitting your butt.
- 24:28[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, for me, it's a special team, it's a special, special team, and they don't look like they can be stopped in Adiga.
- 24:35[SPEAKER_02]: I agree with you.
- 24:35[SPEAKER_02]: It looks like it's them versus them.
- 24:37[SPEAKER_02]: The only thing I see stopping Mars so this year is like a catastrophic injury record.
- 24:41[SPEAKER_02]: And even then, it would have to be bad.
- 24:44[SPEAKER_03]: No, it's, it's unreal.
- 24:47[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, Fermi Loppets, getting back from an injury yesterday, put that up a performance there.
- 24:53[SPEAKER_01]: Judges, just a joy to watch.
- 24:55[SPEAKER_01]: Even Fermi Losses and his numbers were outrageous for an advancement field on, like you guys said, to boss learn a quite clearly, quite comfortably, the famous.
- 25:03[SPEAKER_01]: I think if we look at every single league now,
- 25:06[SPEAKER_01]: Of course we know most probably by Munich when the Bundesliga PSG despite the bad start they're probably going to win the gun and we'll see about that one at 7 points behind what they're already but we're going to have some predictions, some will take so yeah one yet in the first three games maybe they don't go first four games I'm pretty well for you I didn't include in the cup, yeah
- 25:24[SPEAKER_01]: But I'd still, if I had to bet on my live servants, I still put it on PSG to win that.
- 25:28[SPEAKER_01]: But I do actually think, apart from the Bundesliga, I think the biggest disparity, you might actually be the La Liga.
- 25:33[SPEAKER_01]: I think Barcelona, that clear favorites to win it, it's insane.
- 25:37[SPEAKER_01]: It's interesting to see how they do in the Champions League.
- 25:39[SPEAKER_01]: I think that's the biggest test for them.
- 25:40[SPEAKER_01]: I think that's the last level that they really need to overcome with fluke spots.
- 25:43[SPEAKER_03]: We are going to talk about the Champions League later.
- 25:46[SPEAKER_03]: I know that you want to talk about Hansi Flick.
- 25:48[SPEAKER_03]: Yes.
- 25:49[SPEAKER_03]: For me,
- 25:51[SPEAKER_03]: signing roadry, just how many times last season we talk about the fact that you were exposed, and then you think about roadry, and is the man who can give you that kind of balance, especially when you want to compete in European football.
- 26:04[SPEAKER_03]: It's interesting Barcelona, spectacular, and on the other side, Jose Moreno, I mean Real Madrid, we're a lucky against Real Betty's Ballon Pierre, but as soon as the level increase a bit, we are the first
- 26:19[SPEAKER_02]: I felt this game, though, because I watched Romager a few times this year, and I watched them against Espanel, where it was one one late into the game, similarly, they missed so many chances, and Carl's SP saved them right at the death.
- 26:30[SPEAKER_02]: But I look at this game, and for me, it was almost a carbon copy of it.
- 26:33[SPEAKER_02]: Madrid had so many chances, they couldn't finish their dinner, SP thought he grabbed the late goals.
- 26:38[SPEAKER_02]: This game was off-site, it was an amazing goal for me.
- 26:40[SPEAKER_02]: But the difference is this time it was marginally off-site last time.
- 26:42[SPEAKER_02]: So it's not that different of
- 26:47[SPEAKER_02]: It's always interesting to see how we analyze a team based on how they lose and how they win.
- 26:51[SPEAKER_02]: Same kind of game, different kind of result.
- 26:53[SPEAKER_02]: That's just the margins, right?
- 26:54[SPEAKER_02]: But I think early on, you could already see there's issues in this Madrid team.
- 26:57[SPEAKER_02]: I'm going to keep saying it until I go blue in the face that this vinyin and baffish thing should have been broken up, a hundred percent.
- 27:03[SPEAKER_02]: But even past that, I look at Mereño and what he was brought in to fix with this project.
- 27:09[SPEAKER_02]: And what's there from a tactical point of view?
- 27:10[SPEAKER_02]: It'd be very clear, you're not hiring Mourinho in 2026 for some tactically revolutionary ideas here.
- 27:15[SPEAKER_02]: You brought him in here.
- 27:16[SPEAKER_02]: Thanks, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right.
- 27:19[SPEAKER_02]: A big respect to Jose, but let's be real.
- 27:21[SPEAKER_03]: Again, why don't you come back?
- 27:23[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, even though the sun board doesn't agree with me.
- 27:27[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it's sun board.
- 27:27[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, this is what I'm trying to say.
- 27:29[SPEAKER_02]: You don't bring Mourinho in 2026 revolutionary tactical ideas.
- 27:32[SPEAKER_02]: Fact, right?
- 27:33[SPEAKER_02]: Otherwise, you wouldn't have been up in Africa.
- 27:34[SPEAKER_02]: You brought him in to fix a broken dressing room
- 27:39[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, marigno has shown and he's first four games that even the great Joe's and marigno cannot handle this dressing room and the proof is you look at how many games this here Vinnie and in Bapé have stunk up the joint and Arda Guller has been their best player and yet Arda Guller keeps coming off while these guys last 90 minutes.
- 27:56[SPEAKER_02]: This is not why Maria was brought into the home.
- 27:58[SPEAKER_02]: He was brought in to be able to take Vinny off and no one questions it.
- 28:01[SPEAKER_02]: The fact that he's already kind of falling back to them for me is a bit of a red flag.
- 28:06[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, but if we look back at the first Real Madrid spell.
- 28:11[SPEAKER_03]: of Jose Moreno, yeah, the knee show with that dressing room.
- 28:14[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, knee show with Cassie, yes, yeah, the knee show.
- 28:17[SPEAKER_02]: But you made sure, you know who's boss, Josie.
- 28:19[SPEAKER_02]: Remember the guy benched Benzema for how long?
- 28:21[SPEAKER_02]: He said, you guys are asking me to go hunting with a cat.
- 28:24[SPEAKER_02]: That's what he said about Cat and Benzema.
- 28:25[SPEAKER_02]: He said, these aren't my striker.
- 28:27[SPEAKER_02]: No one was bigger than Moreno, the first go around.
- 28:28[SPEAKER_02]: Until eventually it blew up.
- 28:30[SPEAKER_02]: He's coming again.
- 28:30[SPEAKER_02]: Now I feel like he got a little soft Moreno.
- 28:32[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I think so.
- 28:33[SPEAKER_02]: I really think he's got a little suffer.
- 28:34[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe he's he this time he knows like I'm here It's a bit fortunate that I'm a Madrid right now.
- 28:38[SPEAKER_01]: Let me not mess it up You guys see the video at the end of the game where like marino tries to give Vinnie a hug and pretty just brushes him off I feel like the old marina would have never accepted that in that moment.
- 28:47[SPEAKER_01]: I almost feel like I don't know.
- 28:50[SPEAKER_01]: I feel like he's too soft now.
- 28:51[SPEAKER_01]: He's too nice.
- 28:52[SPEAKER_01]: He's trying to play the hero when and he's the perfect villain in football most
- 28:57[SPEAKER_03]: My point is, okay, they got rid of Shabby Alonso because they weren't happy with the relationship with players and they weren't happy with the style of the game.
- 29:10[SPEAKER_03]: If we look at the staff there, Shabby Alonso record with Ronaldo was quite good.
- 29:15[SPEAKER_03]: And they didn't give him enough time to build what he wanted.
- 29:20[SPEAKER_03]: Now, probably the lack of quality in terms of game and also you can have the same issues with your play.
- 29:31[SPEAKER_03]: So what's the point?
- 29:32[SPEAKER_03]: For me, Real Madrid are in identity crisis and it's not going to be easy for them because they are competing against one of the best Barcelona.
- 29:42[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, but Barcelona and around Madrid, it's so funny because they're actually at the antithesis of each other.
- 29:50[SPEAKER_02]: They're complete opposites.
- 29:51[SPEAKER_02]: What makes Barcelona so brilliant is also around Madrid's biggest weakness.
- 29:55[SPEAKER_02]: The unity, the balance, the identity, the fact that they know exactly who they are.
- 30:00[SPEAKER_02]: And the fact that Barcelona's midfield is untouchable, right?
- 30:03[SPEAKER_02]: You look at Real Madrid's biggest problem last season, even past egos and all of this stuff.
- 30:07[SPEAKER_02]: They have no midfield.
- 30:08[SPEAKER_02]: Every team that goes up against them can win the midfield battle.
- 30:11[SPEAKER_02]: And yeah, what do they do in the window?
- 30:12[SPEAKER_02]: They sign another right back.
- 30:14[SPEAKER_02]: They sign a right winger for 140 million pounds.
- 30:16[SPEAKER_02]: They sign a left back.
- 30:17[SPEAKER_02]: And they needed those patients.
- 30:18[SPEAKER_02]: No doubt about they needed the fence of B.
- 30:20[SPEAKER_02]: And yet, they left the midfield relatively unchanged.
- 30:22[SPEAKER_02]: They went inside Bernardo Silva on a free and now they're trying to turn him into what Tony Cross.
- 30:25[SPEAKER_02]: They still have a huge midfield issue that they didn't address whatsoever.
- 30:29[SPEAKER_02]: And until they do that, I'm sorry, you look at Barcelona, the way they control games.
- 30:33[SPEAKER_02]: Ramallah, you can never control game like Barcelona, ever.
- 30:35[SPEAKER_03]: Guys, this is the first episode of the year.
- 30:37[SPEAKER_03]: We have a lot of talk about it.
- 30:39[SPEAKER_03]: So I want to give you quick meat here.
- 30:43[SPEAKER_03]: I want you to give me quickly who is the your team of the week Barcelona.
- 30:51[SPEAKER_03]: I'm going to give you a few options, we have.
- 30:54[SPEAKER_03]: Athletic club, sorry, sorry, sorry.
- 30:57[SPEAKER_03]: Horace back with Athletic Madrid, giving excuses to Diego Simeone, but yeah.
- 31:02[SPEAKER_03]: The Arsenal Barcelona and then a good start from Inter and Roman Sereas.
- 31:06[SPEAKER_03]: Sorry, I don't know, as well.
- 31:07[SPEAKER_03]: For us, you know, and of course, yeah, I go Barcelona.
- 31:09[SPEAKER_02]: I think that the most infatic performance this weekend.
- 31:12[SPEAKER_01]: I think objectively speaking, that was the best victory that are the best team.
- 31:18[SPEAKER_01]: I'll be different, just because I don't want to go to Spain.
- 31:21[SPEAKER_01]: I just think the character from Inter is worrying.
- 31:25[SPEAKER_01]: It pains for me to say about come back in that fashion at home.
- 31:29[SPEAKER_01]: I see a lot of, again, I don't want to make this all about us, but I see this a lot of shades between this intercylinder, like the adventures we've content out of where, even when they're down, they're just finding a way to win.
- 31:39[SPEAKER_01]: And the character that they show to come back against now, but you don't get twisted on, and we're going to talk about it again, not really definitely had a lot of flaws in the way that they, you know, come on, didn't control that game after being tune in a lot of
- 31:50[SPEAKER_01]: And that was a moment where I was like, these guys are just that too good.
- 31:54[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I mean, we're going to talk about Syria later, we interred before months, uh, the, uh, the subs on, of Masimilian and Liga in the last 10, 50 minutes of the game.
- 32:05[SPEAKER_03]: It's a good idea.
- 32:06[SPEAKER_03]: Our data, I would say.
- 32:08[SPEAKER_03]: Dan, do you have a team of the week?
- 32:10[SPEAKER_00]: Certainly not IHX.
- 32:13[SPEAKER_00]: We lost three one to PSV, but by the way, if anyone wants to have a bit of a laugh, it's not so funny actually look at Ruben Van Bommel's challenge.
- 32:21[SPEAKER_00]: Hi.
- 32:21[SPEAKER_00]: Absolutely disgraceful and how he didn't get a red card for that.
- 32:25[SPEAKER_00]: I will, but I will not let you know.
- 32:27[SPEAKER_02]: I was looking at Van Bommel for a while and I was thinking, hmm, your dad's a defenseman full of it, you're a winger.
- 32:31[SPEAKER_02]: What went wrong in the teens?
- 32:33[SPEAKER_02]: that's a that's a that's a that's a DNA test right there yeah you got your answer there you go that is see it he is the father hundred percent that is workman bubble son that was crazy and to stay on the airy division then the son of Ronald coolman score of brace as a from the panicked spot and he's a good player he's a goalkeeper but that's also a DNA test I think as well
- 32:58[SPEAKER_00]: put penalties away very easily.
- 33:00[SPEAKER_00]: So that once again, it's funny how many offspring are now performing from the from the depth side of things.
- 33:06[SPEAKER_02]: I'd like to ask you a sunny please for our personal.
- 33:09[SPEAKER_02]: So I'm fine, or excuse me, I've been personally suned.
- 33:11[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, that's right.
- 33:13[SPEAKER_00]: And you've got the Clive, it's dotted around everywhere.
- 33:16[SPEAKER_00]: It's interesting.
- 33:16[SPEAKER_00]: But now, Club of the Week, I think whole city can feel very proud right now, can't they?
- 33:22[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I don't know.
- 33:23[SPEAKER_00]: That's why they're doing very well.
- 33:24[SPEAKER_00]: Barcelona, they've got all the pools.
- 33:26[SPEAKER_00]: Barcelona, are.
- 33:28[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, they probably are.
- 33:29[SPEAKER_03]: Fantastic.
- 33:29[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 33:30[SPEAKER_03]: fantastic.
- 33:31[SPEAKER_03]: Guys, new section.
- 33:32[SPEAKER_03]: I want to give you the control of the conversation.
- 33:35[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, you have it anyway, in any day of your life, especially you.
- 33:39[SPEAKER_03]: But we have a section called The Floor is yours.
- 33:42[SPEAKER_03]: Every week you're going to select the topic and you're going to talk about it, asking us question.
- 33:48[SPEAKER_03]: We're going to start with Luca.
- 33:50[SPEAKER_03]: Luca, what's your topic?
- 33:53[SPEAKER_01]: Make sure I get every single
- 33:58[SPEAKER_01]: You're going to like this one, Ale.
- 34:00[SPEAKER_03]: OK.
- 34:01[SPEAKER_01]: I think pound for pound.
- 34:03[SPEAKER_01]: Play a for player.
- 34:04[SPEAKER_01]: Roma had the best market out of any club in the world.
- 34:09[SPEAKER_02]: Go talk about the market.
- 34:11[SPEAKER_01]: Try to go into, yeah.
- 34:11[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I'll line it.
- 34:13[SPEAKER_01]: For people who don't know Roma's market.
- 34:14[SPEAKER_01]: So.
- 34:15[SPEAKER_01]: Roma signed, Moura from Porto, very promising young player already had a good impact on the squad.
- 34:22[SPEAKER_01]: Santiago Castro from Bolonia, like you mentioned earlier, Gasperi News talking about how you have to have a deep squad to compete on all fronts, which is totally true, especially with them playing Champions League football now.
- 34:31[SPEAKER_01]: So he's going to be that backup to Marlon.
- 34:34[SPEAKER_01]: They signed Marlon on a permanent for 25 million euros for me.
- 34:37[SPEAKER_01]: What a bargain.
- 34:38[SPEAKER_01]: What a bargain.
- 34:39[SPEAKER_01]: Five goals in three games now.
- 34:41[SPEAKER_01]: Wonderful.
- 34:44[SPEAKER_01]: It's a peculiar act as well, Molina from Atletico Madrid, Guilardi, Balerdi on alone, the rune, obviously, you know, is in well, squad morale, rotation, but for me, one that nobody mentions.
- 34:58[SPEAKER_01]: extend in polarity by his contract.
- 35:00[SPEAKER_01]: Well, it seemed like he was going to go away.
- 35:02[SPEAKER_01]: Potentially go to Saudi, potentially go to vodka juniors, he took a 60% pay cart.
- 35:07[SPEAKER_03]: That's probably the most important thing in modern day football.
- 35:12[SPEAKER_03]: Seeing a player was willing to take a pay cart and just to stay.
- 35:17[SPEAKER_01]: It's rare, but it's beautiful to see.
- 35:19[SPEAKER_01]: And he's not a transfer, but the fact I currently didn't leave the cart as well.
- 35:23[SPEAKER_01]: It's massively exused for that.
- 35:25[SPEAKER_01]: I think Roma built one of the strongest foundations in Europe, actually, I think they're one of the teams that are going more under the radar.
- 35:31[SPEAKER_01]: They played beautiful, expansive football, they're creating a bunch of chances, defensively, they're really strong.
- 35:36[SPEAKER_01]: Again, we talk about spine, a spine of svila, and de-comanchini, Konae, strong team.
- 35:42[SPEAKER_01]: They're bullies, you know.
- 35:44[SPEAKER_01]: And the depth that you guys now have, I'm looking at that and I'm thinking, interest all the team to be in the window in the
- 35:53[SPEAKER_01]: But almost additions to the team, I think you have a good chance when it's good that far.
- 35:58[SPEAKER_03]: Yes, I don't follow them.
- 35:59[SPEAKER_03]: That's close.
- 36:00[SPEAKER_03]: So what do you think about Roma's transfer market?
- 36:03[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I'm really worried because we have to end up playing you guys.
- 36:05[SPEAKER_02]: So I think Roma done an unbelievable market, 100%.
- 36:11[SPEAKER_02]: Outside of them, you're seeing the best in Europe.
- 36:13[SPEAKER_02]: Pound for pound.
- 36:14[SPEAKER_02]: With the money that they spend.
- 36:15[SPEAKER_02]: It's better to your eyes on you.
- 36:17[SPEAKER_01]: Of course, you're not there.
- 36:18[SPEAKER_01]: Free losses.
- 36:20[SPEAKER_02]: The best market.
- 36:21[SPEAKER_02]: I think bars have done really well.
- 36:23[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 36:23[SPEAKER_02]: The boss are probably doing bars have done really well.
- 36:25[SPEAKER_02]: But I do rate where Roma have done on the budget that they're on.
- 36:28[SPEAKER_02]: That's what I'm saying, too.
- 36:29[SPEAKER_01]: And I think the expectation of boss as well is different at all.
- 36:32[SPEAKER_01]: I think boss, what's with the Champions League, then come the end of the season with like, you know what those guys did.
- 36:37[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, maybe the best.
- 36:38[SPEAKER_01]: But if Roma were to win the school, that's all.
- 36:41[SPEAKER_02]: Well, percentage shows that you give them because you have interest, have you favorite some assuming?
- 36:44[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, enter, have you favorites?
- 36:45[SPEAKER_02]: You think Romo will be their closest competitor?
- 36:47[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I do.
- 36:48[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, and keep an eye on Como.
- 36:51[SPEAKER_02]: Como.
- 36:51[SPEAKER_03]: Como strong.
- 36:52[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 36:53[SPEAKER_02]: It's kind of downplay, man.
- 36:54[SPEAKER_02]: Be boisterous, man.
- 36:56[SPEAKER_02]: You're just playing great for now, I guess.
- 36:57[SPEAKER_03]: We've played in top.
- 36:58[SPEAKER_01]: Not next week.
- 36:59[SPEAKER_01]: We call off.
- 36:59[SPEAKER_03]: There we go.
- 37:00[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, there we go.
- 37:01[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, it's a good season.
- 37:02[SPEAKER_03]: It's promising.
- 37:04[SPEAKER_03]: I really respect the work of John Piero Gaspedini.
- 37:07[SPEAKER_03]: It's really important to say, for example, Mancini decided to stay at Roma despite having an important offer from Inter to join them.
- 37:19[SPEAKER_03]: So seeing the Bala, they all want to be involved in the project.
- 37:24[SPEAKER_03]: But let's see, it's the soon-end Roma is a really particular city.
- 37:29[SPEAKER_03]: So now people, the beginning of September, people already starting.
- 37:35[SPEAKER_03]: where you're staying calm yeah you need to stay calm you need to stay calm you need to stay calm it's the only it's like in a certain way
- 37:45[SPEAKER_03]: We live here, and you perfectly know how people think about Barcelona in this city.
- 37:53[SPEAKER_03]: So is it similar kind of a pressure?
- 37:56[SPEAKER_01]: Did you guys, I know I know you saw it, because I sent it to you, but did you see the clip layers of people at the wedding?
- 38:02[SPEAKER_01]: Right, but the wedding venue was right close to the Olympic hall.
- 38:05[SPEAKER_01]: Really?
- 38:06[SPEAKER_01]: I think it was the bride's major given some speeches.
- 38:08[SPEAKER_01]: All the boys were just watching that, oh my game on the phone, and they hear the crowd, oh my gosh, I don't know if you can
- 38:15[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, I think Groma and the best Mark out of any club, that's my proposal, let's say.
- 38:21[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, what are your thoughts?
- 38:24[SPEAKER_02]: First and foremost, the wall look I was giving his spiel.
- 38:26[SPEAKER_02]: I was on my phone, so I just want to make sure I wasn't ignoring him.
- 38:29[SPEAKER_02]: But I was just trying to make sure some statistics to also come with my statement.
- 38:33[SPEAKER_03]: We trust you.
- 38:35[SPEAKER_02]: I want to talk about Hansi Flick.
- 38:37[SPEAKER_02]: Because Hansi Flick, after this weekend, has now managed 80 La Liga matches for Barcelona.
- 38:42[SPEAKER_02]: And he is the manager that after 80 games has the most La Liga wins in Barcelona's history.
- 38:49[SPEAKER_02]: He's got 63 wins out of 80.
- 38:52[SPEAKER_02]: to compare that some more than Tag Guardian all after his first 80 games, that's more than Luis Enrique after his first 80 games.
- 38:57[SPEAKER_02]: And not only has it, the numbers speak for themselves.
- 39:01[SPEAKER_02]: Sometimes you don't even have to say it, right?
- 39:03[SPEAKER_02]: But even more than that, I think it's the fashion in which he's winning these games as well, to we're talking about a team that feel like they can outscore anybody.
- 39:12[SPEAKER_02]: Honestly, the firepower that they have is ridiculous.
- 39:14[SPEAKER_02]: And it's been kind of a pattern throughout his career, right?
- 39:17[SPEAKER_02]: A buyer, the records that they hit, they were
- 39:22[SPEAKER_02]: He turned Levin Dorsky into what already was an amazing striker into a ball and door.
- 39:26[SPEAKER_02]: Probably should have been winner.
- 39:26[SPEAKER_02]: He turns Serge Nabri into a ball and door container the guy got 30 GA in and one of his seasons.
- 39:31[SPEAKER_02]: And what he's done at Barcelona, I mean, he's getting productivity out of anybody, right?
- 39:35[SPEAKER_02]: Levin Dorsky before he came, people were saying he should have been on his way out.
- 39:38[SPEAKER_02]: The guys were 40 goals in his first season back with Flick.
- 39:41[SPEAKER_02]: You look at Raphina, what he's turned Raphina into.
- 39:43[SPEAKER_03]: It's really interesting.
- 39:44[SPEAKER_03]: I was about to ask, it's really interesting.
- 39:46[SPEAKER_03]: What do you think about Raphina as a number nine, for example?
- 39:49[SPEAKER_02]: But he's an amazing player out of number nine, but I think he is the living embodiment of what Hansi Flick can do to attackers.
- 39:55[SPEAKER_02]: Anthony Gordon has got four assistants for his games.
- 39:57[SPEAKER_02]: At the Emmy, I'm sure he's gonna score goals.
- 39:59[SPEAKER_02]: It feels like anybody that Hansi Flick coaches rest for the last season boots, I think it was a 30, 20, 30 GA as a basic substitute.
- 40:07[SPEAKER_02]: It feels like anything handsy flick touches turns to gold in terms of literally turns to the goals.
- 40:12[SPEAKER_02]: That's what it turns into.
- 40:13[SPEAKER_02]: I call him the attacker whisper.
- 40:15[SPEAKER_02]: I think he can genuinely take any player in Europe and increase their productivity by five to ten goal contributions.
- 40:22[SPEAKER_02]: And I think my question is because the final step that I have here is a Barcelona this season or averaging 4.1 to I think 4.2 goals per game.
- 40:30[SPEAKER_02]: They've got 17 goals in four games.
- 40:34[SPEAKER_02]: At their current trajectory, Barcelona will score 160 goals in La Liga.
- 40:38[SPEAKER_02]: We expect that to go down as time goes on, but it just shows the firepower that this team has.
- 40:43[SPEAKER_02]: And my question for you guys is, I'm going to keep it the 21st century because I don't want to go beforehand.
- 40:48[SPEAKER_02]: It's handsy flick the best attacking manager in the 21st century.
- 40:53[SPEAKER_02]: The best coach at producing an attack.
- 40:56[SPEAKER_02]: Not in terms of success, not in terms of just
- 41:00[SPEAKER_02]: a team that scores goals better than anybody is he the best attacking manager that we've had in the 21st century because I think I'm going to say yes he's up he's up he's up
- 41:10[SPEAKER_03]: is a great question, if we look at the number, it's hard to say no.
- 41:16[SPEAKER_03]: Of course, it comes to my mind the first Barcelona and the Guardiola.
- 41:22[SPEAKER_03]: And they were scoring goals, basically, just putting the ball back on the net without shooting.
- 41:28[SPEAKER_02]: That seemed to have messy attoe and Henri.
- 41:30[SPEAKER_02]: No, no, no, I can't do it.
- 41:32[SPEAKER_02]: I can't do it.
- 41:33[SPEAKER_03]: I can't do it.
- 41:34[SPEAKER_03]: We do any proof to...
- 41:36[SPEAKER_03]: He can do it in different leagues, we different kind of players.
- 41:41[SPEAKER_02]: For me, it's not even just like the league, it's the players that he's doing it with.
- 41:44[SPEAKER_02]: I love Raphina.
- 41:45[SPEAKER_02]: Raphina was never a player in my mind.
- 41:47[SPEAKER_02]: I ever would've thought it was going to get this level of productivity that he's head up Barcelona.
- 41:51[SPEAKER_02]: I think that's a huge part of that has to go on the flick, right?
- 41:54[SPEAKER_02]: Like Ganabri, Ganabri was a decent player at Bayern.
- 41:57[SPEAKER_02]: It's got to turn him to one of the most lethal attackers in Europe in a season.
- 42:01[SPEAKER_02]: So flick has this talent of just, I don't know if you think you can take one of us three.
- 42:05[SPEAKER_02]: We'll get five goals from Barcelona.
- 42:07[SPEAKER_02]: Seriously, we'll get five.
- 42:07[SPEAKER_02]: Just because it's flick, the system is so overpowered going forward.
- 42:11[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think.
- 42:11[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think.
- 42:13[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's the very first.
- 42:14[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not saying he's a better manager over all than Guardiola.
- 42:17[SPEAKER_02]: I think there's coaches that combine the attack into defense.
- 42:20[SPEAKER_02]: They make it more balanced and we've seen Barcelona in the Champions League can get at them.
- 42:23[SPEAKER_02]: But just going forward.
- 42:24[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think there's a coach that coaches as heavy metal and attacking style as this.
- 42:28[SPEAKER_01]: I think that's fair.
- 42:29[SPEAKER_01]: I would only say to defend maybe perhaps time up Barcelona.
- 42:33[SPEAKER_01]: There's more goals per game nowadays in football in general compared to 15 years ago.
- 42:37[SPEAKER_01]: I only need to defend Pepsi, but at the same time, I think a lot of that is also down to the way that different teams play and the way that hands you flex teams set up a very offensive, very powerful and the final third, so I definitely think you help contribute to that.
- 42:52[SPEAKER_01]: I think if you look at his resume, what he did at buying in Barcelona, you read out the numbers as well.
- 42:57[SPEAKER_01]: I think statistically you could easily say it is.
- 43:00[SPEAKER_01]: So I think that's fair.
- 43:00[SPEAKER_01]: And also, like you said, the way you develop in certain places to become roofed golf scores, plays that were maybe, I'm not gonna say discarded, but let's sort of play as that were known as golf scores to become these final-ferred frets is very, very impressive.
- 43:16[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, I think that's a very fresh arm.
- 43:18[SPEAKER_03]: is, yeah, I mean, the way he plays Costa Dima Champions League fine after season, I go because there was no need to keep attacking when you're on that.
- 43:26[SPEAKER_03]: I agree with you.
- 43:27[SPEAKER_03]: I agree with you.
- 43:28[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I do agree with it.
- 43:30[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, and I'm really curious to see if Rodry can bring that balance.
- 43:35[SPEAKER_03]: Well, we'll control the level of control.
- 43:37[SPEAKER_03]: They need to compete in the Champions League to avoid to be exposed.
- 43:41[SPEAKER_02]: But I also think too, right?
- 43:42[SPEAKER_02]: This is past the offensive point, but the job he's done at Barcelona.
- 43:46[SPEAKER_02]: to take the team from Chavy, to where they are now.
- 43:48[SPEAKER_02]: I think it's one of the most impressive coaching jobs that we've seen in a long, long time.
- 43:51[SPEAKER_02]: Like Barcelona, we're looking at them now as a team that are going to continue challenging for the Champions League.
- 43:56[SPEAKER_02]: We're talking about the league already being as far as the formality on match week four compared to where Barcelona were a few seasons ago and they're financial ruin.
- 44:04[SPEAKER_02]: What he's done to this football club honestly, I think it's one of the most underrated coaching jobs you've seen in the top manager.
- 44:11[SPEAKER_03]: absolutely stop.
- 44:12[SPEAKER_02]: You have won all of it or?
- 44:13[SPEAKER_03]: No, the floor is yours.
- 44:16[SPEAKER_03]: The floor is yours guys.
- 44:17[SPEAKER_03]: Let us know you're talking in the comment.
- 44:19[SPEAKER_03]: We talk a lot to be the first one of this season.
- 44:21[SPEAKER_03]: We're gonna be back with the European show with the Champions League.
- 44:25[SPEAKER_03]: Stay with us.
- 44:26[SPEAKER_03]: Thanks Lees.
- 44:27[SPEAKER_03]: Thanks Luca and see you soon.
