Years ago, Sprouts was running a fundraiser for Autism Speaks. At the time, I was indirectly involved with AutismOne at a relatively high level. I was also heavily enmeshed with the community of parents and children with autism. When pressed by a cashier about making a donation, I became the crazy lady at the checkout ranting about how I would not support such an organization and gave her (and anyone within earshot) an earful about exactly why.
