- 3:25Good evening everyone, Thank you for tuning in once more to to the Nations
- 3:31the Prophets. Simon Williams Young, I'm so excited that you guys are joining
- 3:38me today. I'm so excited for the topic that we have. I'm so
- 3:42excited for the guests that I have on this evening. Hello, Shahet,
- 3:49thank you so much for joining your and Heila Kisha, thank you for joining
- 3:54well you guys. Today we are going to honor the widower. Hi,
- 4:00mom, We're going to honor the widowers today. And my special guest is
- 4:06actually my husband, a senior elder, Ruben Young, and he is also
- 4:12a purpose coach and before we were married, there is a point of time
- 4:15in his life where he uh became a widower and he did have to raise
- 4:23our son on his own for a while. And so I'm going to bring
- 4:28him on and so Hi, beg, how are you good? In you
- 4:40good? Good? So just telling the audience just you know, because we
- 4:46are honoring the widowers, uh you know, on this particular show, and
- 4:53uh the fact that you have already gone on this particular journey. Uh,
- 5:00and you know, putting people, you know, bringing awareness that there are
- 5:03men who are doing a lot. You know, we always show face,
- 5:14you know how women we have to do so much, we have to wear
- 5:16so many but there are men out there who do have to wear a lot
- 5:20of hats as well. And just trying to bring a little awareness and if
- 5:27you can in the audience a little bit of information about yourself, if you
- 5:31want to go in and go right into your journey with your experience of love.
- 5:42Okay, sure. First, I just want to make sure you can
- 5:45hear me, because getting some little feedback maybe on my end. So let
- 5:49me make a few adjustments and see if you can hear me clearly. Can
- 5:53you hear me clearly? I can hear you. Okay, great? Uh
- 6:00you said, tell the audience a little bit about me, Yes, tell
- 6:02a little bit a bit about you, and you know what you're doing right
- 6:06now. We'll be here all night. So the short version is right now,
- 6:17I am a full time ministry. I am All that I've been through
- 6:25has allowed me to have the qualifications and the skills and the abilities to be
- 6:31a leader, leading my family, leading God's people. I'm a husband,
- 6:42hopefully a good one. Y'all have to ask simone that later on when I'm
- 6:46off a grandfather or father, a friend of many, an enemy of none.
- 6:59I'm an author, I'm an entrepreneur, a business owner, and a
- 7:09dreamer. And I believe in family, I believe in structure, I believe
- 7:14in love. I'm a child to God. I'm a man of God mhm.
- 7:19And I would say, for the most part through all that, I'm
- 7:21a fighter. Yess, that's right, I see it. I see it
- 7:28every day. But uh, if we can go into briefly, you know,
- 7:34you know before we got married, you know, there was a point
- 7:39in your life. You know, you were married to Julia, our son's
- 7:44mom, and she ended up passing away and then which placed you in the
- 7:51position of having to be a father, you know, on your own,
- 7:58trying to, you know, make things happen. Can you just give us
- 8:01a little bit of a backstory on that. Yes, Revisiting that in my
- 8:15mind and my spirit kind of takes me to a place where all I can
- 8:24say it was a painful place, but necessary because it was out of my
- 8:28hands. And being a man of faith and being a spiritual man, that's
- 8:35the only thing that I can chalk it up to as being spiritual and something
- 8:43that was out of my hands. It was sudden she was sick with a
- 8:52few conditions. One of them was called sarcidosis, which the cells, the
- 9:01function of the red cells and the white cells no longer recognized one another and
- 9:05began to fight one another within the blood system. Which when she was diagnosed
- 9:13with sarchidosis, it was maybe in its deep or latter stages once it was
- 9:20recognized, and it had already entered the brain, which caused brain tumors.
- 9:28At this particular time, I was unaware of the diagnosis because she knew that
- 9:37I loved her, and she kind of kept the information from me. And
- 9:43also she was a woman of faith as well, so she didn't want to
- 9:46speak it into existence. But it was basically kind of like already in existence.
- 9:54God had already had the final say soul to you to transition her and
- 10:03allow her to graduate from this life onto the next. So we're visiting that
- 10:13place comes with a lot of mixed emotions, but with now a lot of
- 10:16understanding, and that understanding has given me peace, and it gave me peace
- 10:24at that time as a husband and as a father. The journey with our
- 10:31son will open up a lot of other things that I was unaware of because
- 10:39I was uneducated and ignorant to the ways of the world and the system.
- 10:46Okay, and it was a real rude slap in the face. Oh real
- 10:54quick, before we get into that part. I know on my last show,
- 11:01you know, I had shared about, you know, my experience with
- 11:05our pastor. Uh you know when when you know Ashton was killed, and
- 11:13you know how our pastor really you know, kind of held my hand and
- 11:20he kept he kept pushing, you know, the the type of man of
- 11:24God that we are under, you know, Chief Apostle Michael L. Rose
- 11:28of the Wrecking Crew, Can you give me a little bit of an experience,
- 11:33you know on that end, you know, with with our pastor,
- 11:37because I know, you know, he was pretty hands on with you.
- 11:43Yes, excuse me. The leadership and the mentoring aspect from our spiritual father,
- 11:54excuse me, it intensified. He may sure that other men such as
- 12:03Pastor Earle being one at the time and Pastor Tony being another one at the
- 12:09time, really kind of be there for me and look out from me.
- 12:16He understood that I needed strong brothers. He decerned that the leadership that was
- 12:24in them and the brotherhood that we had formed at the time, because the
- 12:30name of the church artillery that we had at the time was a brotherhood.
- 12:37We had a brotherhood ministry at the time. So he made sure there were
- 12:41capable of strong men and leaders around me to encourage me and to keep me
- 12:46focused. And he understood what I've already had in me. But he knew
- 12:52that something as strong and as serious and important as losing a spouse, he
- 13:00didn't want to leave any room for the enemy to come in and try to
- 13:03play on the weakness and the hurt and my Christian integrity as an end of
- 13:11God in my weakened and vulnerable state. Yes, so he made it I
- 13:16was surrounded by strong, capable, wise men. When he couldn't be around,
- 13:22he made sure they were around to come and check on me as he
- 13:26did as well. So the leadership that me being a part of at that
- 13:31time and still a part of right now to this day, helped mold and
- 13:37shape and kept me in a certain place where I needed to be, especially
- 13:43through that time of trauma and tragedy. Yes, yes, And at the
- 13:50same time absolutely and that's one thing I know is that you're a man of
- 13:58You're a man of prayer. In prayer is important, and having a village
- 14:03is important, you know, uh, you know, when you know through
- 14:07through that particular journey, your your village around you makes a big difference on
- 14:13the experience or or you know that that you will have in that journey.
- 14:18And so that's why it's also really important not to push your village away,
- 14:24you know, when you're going through themes of that particular nature, because you
- 14:30need your village when you're going through grief. Absolutely. Okay, if we
- 14:33can go ahead and get a little bit into you know, I've heard over
- 14:39the years, you know sometimes men, you know, I hear it through
- 14:43the grapevine, I guess you can say where men will say, you know,
- 14:48women, you have it so much easier. You guys have all the
- 14:52resources, you know, when you know you don't have, uh, you
- 14:58know, uh, a male person to help take care of your child.
- 15:03The systems normally gear things to helping women, but I have heard down the
- 15:11line men also say, you know, we don't get the same thing that
- 15:16you guys get, or they run us through the loop harder. You know,
- 15:20a little harder when it comes to men receiving help and receiving services.
- 15:28You know, when you are a single father, a single not just a
- 15:31single father or a widower, but a full time father, you know,
- 15:37doing it by yourself. So can you go into a little bit of what
- 15:43your experience was like, you know, when you had to when it came
- 15:48time to get some help and get some resources, you know, because now
- 15:52you are on your own and you know, trying to figure this thing out.
- 15:56If you could kind of give us a little bit about that experience,
- 16:00yeah, sure, concerning the help and the resources. I found out real
- 16:07quick that I had to wake up early, and I had to get ourselves
- 16:18dressed and motivated and inspired to tackle whatever day was in front of us.
- 16:25Because I knew that we would have speaking of me and my son when he
- 16:30was in school at the time, or he would say and I have to
- 16:33go to the daycare. I basically had to bring him and carry him with
- 16:37me. And so at the time at the time, I had had to
- 16:45get up early and make it out to the bus. He has to use
- 16:49the restaurant, We have to go back in the house, we have to
- 16:53come back out and then wait on the next bus to get to where we're
- 16:59going, which all this at the same time was new to me because of
- 17:06course, when his mom you know, was living at the time, you
- 17:10know, we would all basically be together, or I would go ahead and
- 17:12go to school, school or go to work. At the time, I
- 17:15think I had to do both. I was in school and I had a
- 17:18job, and he was only basically like a pre k, so I had
- 17:22to get him the pre k. Then I had to go catch my bus
- 17:25to go take care of the business where he didn't have to be present,
- 17:30so I fly. I quickly became a FIUL clerk. I checked with the
- 17:33Department of Social Services, which provided was willing to provide aid because I had
- 17:42the birth certificate and the Social Security card and I had the death certificate.
- 17:47That I had all the documents and the files that I needed. So I
- 17:51had to become a file clerk with handling and making sure that I had everything
- 17:56that they needed so that the process wouldn't be as frustrated and xtreenuous as it
- 18:00could have been. I just done along lines early in the morning. I
- 18:07had to quickly become a patient man in a system where they are not in
- 18:14a rush at all because of the many people that has to be serviced,
- 18:18and then it's a possibility that you not prepared properly and they can turn you
- 18:23away or either deny you. And I didn't have the time to waste.
- 18:30I didn't have the time for small mistakes or errors or to forget ABC and
- 18:40X, y Z of things that I needed to get the resources and the
- 18:42help that I needed. And even a little bit before that, if I
- 18:47may rewind just a little bit, I had to basically know that I needed
- 18:52help to help me and my son, and that burden wasn't necessarily just on
- 19:00me, but it was. But I knew that I didn't have the education
- 19:06or the wisdom and the knowledge or knew the resources that I needed to care
- 19:11for my son as a single father and a widower. So I had to
- 19:17recognize and realize that I needed help, and I needed help for my son
- 19:22as well as him needing help. So I had to differentiate all those different
- 19:29realms of who needed help, why, and where it was going to come
- 19:33from. And at one time I understood that my strong prayer life and my
- 19:38faith was only part of the help, and the large part of it.
- 19:44A greater percentage of it, and I understood that other departments and other foundations
- 19:52and other systems was going to provide the other half of the help for myself
- 19:56and my son. So I had to step up as a man all around,
- 20:02because I told myself. I had a conversation with myself, and I
- 20:06told myself, we took a loss, but we don't have to lose everything.
- 20:11It does not have to tear down the whole house just because we took
- 20:17a loss. We don't have to lose what we have just because we lost
- 20:22her. We don't have to lose everything. Everything doesn't have to be destroyed
- 20:29just because our hearts felt destroyed. So it made me step up the middle
- 20:34of a crisis as a man of faith and as a man of God,
- 20:37and as a father. It made me step up in the storm and not
- 20:41allow myself to become intimidated when it was intimidating stepping into doors and having to
- 20:49speak to people and represent myself as a widower and a single father right just
- 20:56lost his wife, and to actually questions that I didn't know particularly what to
- 21:04act. So I was always placed in front of someone that always wanted to
- 21:10know what happened. So I had to vivid and revisited every single time,
- 21:18and that very administrative telling them and to them what happened, the who I
- 21:27feeled in the blanks of the who, what men were, how and why
- 21:32with everyone that they placed in front of me. And it was still hard
- 21:37services and the things that I needed because of the gender factor of being a
- 21:45man. So that sent me into more research. I had to find out
- 21:52and dive into the computer and learn the computer. I was bad at computers,
- 21:57basically less than entry level. Wow. So I purchased a laptop and
- 22:04I had to do my prep work and my homework at home before I even
- 22:10leave the house to go position myself to go and find out about these organizations,
- 22:18these foundations in this system that they have in place to assist those families
- 22:23and individuals that are like me or in the position that I'm in. And
- 22:30it was so hard that all the numbers that I called and the places that
- 22:33I wanted to go see because they just wanted me to show up so that
- 22:38they can hear my story for them to tell me, this is what it
- 22:41felt like for them to tell me that I don't qualify for anything because there's
- 22:48not enough things out there to help assist or service a man because they understand
- 22:55that he is capable. They understand that he has what it takes to survive
- 23:02in this land. So they didn't create anything to assist in the work that
- 23:08he has to do. So it molded my mind to be proactive and engaged
- 23:15in such a way that I never had before. And it allowed me to
- 23:21continue to recognize the fight that has always been in me. So I understood
- 23:26my opponent. I understood my adversary. I understood what was so called basically
- 23:33against me to try to stop me and hold me down from succeeding. So
- 23:38it shaped my mentality, and it shaped my attitude, and it grew and
- 23:42enhanced my faith and empowered understanding wisdom and knowledge moving forward that I need to
- 23:51be empowered. I need to get educated. I need information, and I
- 23:55need knowledge and wisdom to help me fight what's trying to like and stop me
- 24:02from being a successful, single, widdowed father and a man. Well there's
- 24:10also you know, that's and and that's a shame because you know, there
- 24:15should be more, there's there should be more out there for men who are
- 24:19trying to uh, you know, just basically you be able to use the
- 24:26help as a stepping stone until life realigns itself, you know, a justice
- 24:32though, because that's a first. It's a big blow, you know,
- 24:37to have to be put in the position. You know, First, your
- 24:40heart is aching because the person that you love so much, you know,
- 24:45you had to watch them stuffer and then eventually pass. And then your heart
- 24:51is breaking because you also have to watch your child ah, you know,
- 25:00you know, and I know he was really small, so I know that
- 25:02there were moments where it was like, where's mommy? I want my mom?
- 25:07You know, where's this? So you kind of have to go through
- 25:11for okay, yeah, so you kind of you have to go through that,
- 25:14and then you have to watch your child hurt, and then you have
- 25:17to go against the system throughout all that hurt, go through a system you
- 25:25know that's basically have red tape and and urious different things, you know,
- 25:30and I know it's not like you you know, you're trying to use the
- 25:33system forever, but just to kind of have that stepping stone so that you
- 25:37can kind of put the pieces back together and then you can fly. You
- 25:41know. There's a period of time that I know that we had talked about
- 25:47before in which I think it's important to talk about for other men who has
- 25:55to had to kind of go through losing a wife or losing, you know,
- 26:00a mother of their child. It's recognizing when your children needs a little
- 26:07extra help in this, you know, noticing that there's some things that your
- 26:14children are actually going through, and you know, stepping back and say,
- 26:18hey, this is this is out of my expertise, out of my area,
- 26:23out of what I know about, and then reach out and try to
- 26:30get some assistance with that. Can you kind of go over that over that
- 26:33moment, because I know our son, you know, had had those moments
- 26:37where you know, he is his mother's death took a toll on him and
- 26:45you had to come to that realization that further help was needed. Can you
- 26:49kind of let the people know about that time period. Yes. One of
- 26:57the first things that it brings me to mind is he grew up in church,
- 27:03so church was basically church school was the only two things that he really
- 27:08knew. So with him being a preacher's kid and me being the example,
- 27:15he understood that it was something extraordinary going on with himself and with his family
- 27:23because he's always been in church and in service, and you know, the
- 27:26kind of service when we church. We church, and he spent a lot
- 27:30of time in the spirit as far as in the presence of God, without
- 27:36really fully understanding what all that he is, but still experiencing it. But
- 27:41I knew that it was something that worked for us, and he is working
- 27:47will continue to work. But I had to separate that from the other doors
- 27:56that God had opened up and other means that God had out there and opportunities
- 28:02that He allows us to utilize. That it may be the kind of help
- 28:07that he needed. So a lot of his behavior would come out while he's
- 28:17at school, and I understood what a lot a large part of it was.
- 28:22So I would go to these meetings at the school to talk to the
- 28:27teachers and the principles and the administratives at the schools, and once again I
- 28:36would have to have to explain to them the story and why the family of
- 28:45the youngs, father and son coexist without a mom. And I would have
- 28:52to ask questions and try to find out or they would just tell me,
- 28:56well, we have these programs and this and that that can help him or
- 29:03help you, only to this extent. We may not be able to help
- 29:07you with a B and C, but we can help you with X,
- 29:11Y and Z, and hopefully this is something that you would take advantage of
- 29:17because we believe that it can help. So I had to let the help
- 29:22help in those areas where I truly believe, Yes, you know, prayer
- 29:27and the Word and being in church and God and Jesus and all these different
- 29:33things, you know, is our everything because of the way that we live
- 29:37and stuff like that, Because I was already a minister before I got married,
- 29:42So I was already a minister before we eventually had Rubn Junior, so
- 29:49that it was already my lifestyle and this is the way that I lived.
- 29:53But I couldn't be so tunnel vision based on that and stubborn or looking at
- 30:00myself like I'm deficient or dysfunctional or not capable, and all these different things
- 30:07that tried to play on my ego at the time. And I had to
- 30:11let the help help, and I had to let with the professionals be the
- 30:15professionalists, and the experts be the experts, and specialists be the specialists and
- 30:21do what they do. So the wisdom and the understanding of that was opened
- 30:25and kicked in in my mind. So I felt paperwork and I met all
- 30:30the appointments, and I sat and talked to all the people, and stood
- 30:33in all the long lines, and set in all the meetings, and wrote
- 30:37all the stuff and the behavior and analys assessments, and sitting from the psychiatrists
- 30:44and therapists, and they trying to diagnose this and diagnose that, and they're
- 30:48trying to say this and say that, and prescribe this and prescribe that,
- 30:52and just that whole battle of them basically trying to take control of you and
- 30:59your child in that situation instead of just keeping it at assisting and rendering a
- 31:06service. They were basically trying to find fault with my fatherhood. They were
- 31:11just basically trying to find fault with the way that I'm raising my son.
- 31:15And they want to come visit. They want to come in, they want
- 31:18to look, they want to record, they want to take pictures, they
- 31:21want to rewind, they want a store, they want to replay, and
- 31:25they just want to critique and stereotype and all these different things to where it
- 31:32seems like getting to help. It was more almost like an attack, like
- 31:37an invasion, because I guess they were so bewildered in their mind. Excuse
- 31:47me, that we're dealing with a man a father and his son, and
- 31:53a strong man at that, and a man of faith where words of wisdom
- 32:00it's coming out of his mouth. And we keep asking him does he smoke?
- 32:06Does he when the last time he did drugs? And he doesn't do
- 32:08none of that, And we can't find anything to get us proactive and get
- 32:15us started to act where we used to or where we've been conditioned and where
- 32:21we've been good at to strip to strip or tear apart or separate this family
- 32:27to where he's presented a united strong front of strength and power and understanding,
- 32:32to where he's placing us and forcing us to do our job and do what
- 32:38we said we were able to do and produce what we said we're able to
- 32:45produce because he's engaging, he's present, and he's active, and he has
- 32:50his files, he has he has everything lined up, and we can't do
- 32:54anything but give him what we told him. He qual fires for, so
- 33:01we have to do it. But that tax didn't stop. The tax was
- 33:07every meeting. Have you had anything to drink? Have you had anything to
- 33:10smoke? No, I'm in church. I don't do none of those things.
- 33:15But I understand that there may be people that do so they have to
- 33:19check, but just at that time, at that place in my life where
- 33:22I was, it just felt like an attack, like they was trying to
- 33:27really find fault concerning my parenting and all that kind of stuff. So I
- 33:31eventually took parenting in and got a certificate, and they turned around and wanted
- 33:37me to work for them and asked me had I worked for the county before
- 33:39I eventually started working with them in the mail room in the Beverly County DPS
- 33:46as a mail clerk for the county. They gave me a certificate that they
- 33:51employees usually would have to go to college and take a course for because I
- 33:55already came in tools of an intake work being a part of the county and
- 34:04the gain system trying to gain employment. One of the hindrances why I had
- 34:09to go that route is being a single father in the widow yes at the
- 34:14same time, but I was fighting having a criminal record, so I had
- 34:16to have get my certificate of rehabilitations and have my rights restored and go through
- 34:23all that from four felonies, so I qualified for four certificates of the of
- 34:30having my rights restored the four certificates of rehabilitation to have my rights restored.
- 34:37And it took the four felonies through the court system to restore my rights and
- 34:45it got rid of the felonists. So I had to basically use the system
- 34:50against the system while in the system for them to kick me out of the
- 34:53system and I could become more independent and deepending up on God and other reasons
- 35:01as a full citizen that has its full rights. Right. Do you think
- 35:07they with you getting the help? Do you think they dabbled into your past
- 35:17a little bit and maybe try to use some of that against you? Maybe
- 35:22why they kind of you know, the red tape a little bit, all
- 35:28the things that they were taking you through. Yes, no doubt. Because
- 35:32when you fill out any applications of any for any services or any help or
- 35:37any monies or whatever like that, they want to basically know everything about you.
- 35:43And the questionnaire excuse me that they have is have you ever been incarcerated
- 35:47or have you committed a crime? Do you have feelments? So I had
- 35:52to fill out this paperwork correctly, But what they didn't realize is basically real
- 35:59realitates was caused by way of salvation. So I had accepted salvation, and
- 36:06I took my salvation serious. So the salvation allowed allowed the rehabilitation, and
- 36:12rehabilitation is change. So I had allowed change to come to my life because
- 36:16of salvation, which in turn allowed me to have a resume and allowed me
- 36:23to have a portfolio of working with gang intervention at Resuth, being a part
- 36:31of church and the ministry, working with the community. So all that I
- 36:36understood that I was building a resume of works. I was building a resume
- 36:39of labor, and I was building a resume that they would have to under
- 36:44my labor as a changed man instead of looking at my criminal background from the
- 36:50old man. So I had to represent a file at my portfolio of who
- 36:55I am and who I was at that time versus the criminals background. So
- 37:01I had to present to them documents. I got letters from the jobs that
- 37:07I had in the schools and the professors that Saturday class and allowed them to
- 37:12teach me. I got character letters and collected character letters from these individuals that
- 37:20I knew that had something good to say about me. I asked them because
- 37:23they put it in a letter form, because I have some work concerning my
- 37:29image. So I allowed the good things that I was doing in my life
- 37:32at that time, to work with me concerning the system to change my image
- 37:37which presented my rehabilitation in the eyes of the criminal justice system and the court
- 37:44system in the world of my image of being a former feeling to a noun
- 37:49upstanding citizen. I'm kind of glad the conversation kind of went there because I
- 37:54wasn't going to even go there roll as far as you know, your ass
- 38:00having to play play a part in that. But which is good because you
- 38:06know life life, you know, sometimes we make mistakes, we make choices,
- 38:12and sometimes some of those choices and things uh were rearest head in your
- 38:19in the future, even though you know we may have made some changes.
- 38:24But it's good that we're bringing it up because this this could happen to anyone,
- 38:32and it's called being being prepared for the inevitable, you like, like
- 38:42using your experience. There could be another father who could have gone through a
- 38:50background and and maybe have had, you know, a criminal background and various
- 38:53different things, and they're in a position to now have to take care of
- 39:00a child for whatever reason. You know, the mother could have passed and
- 39:05I see it, you know, and just because you have a past,
- 39:09does not mean that you're not a father who will take responsibility for their for
- 39:16your children and eventually become a better man. But sometimes the system, because
- 39:22of the things that have happened in the past, will kind of, you
- 39:28know, come against you when you're trying to do the right thing. You
- 39:31know. Yeah, and so and so I'm glad that you brought some light
- 39:37to that because that can you know, give hope to some men who are
- 39:40trying to be a better band, a better father, you know, for
- 39:45their children, and just to let them know, hey, yes you may
- 39:49have some opposition along the way, but be prepared, get your everything in
- 39:54order, get some character, let us, you know, create you a
- 39:59file. It's like basically staying one or two steps ahead, you know,
- 40:06because if you know you have a pass, some of these things can eventually
- 40:08come up in something, and so start start getting your you're due to the
- 40:15row because you know you have this. Then okay, start doing some community
- 40:20service, you know, get yourself in church, you know, and start
- 40:22creating you a foul because you never know what can happen. We would like
- 40:27to think things are not gonna happen, but there, you know, there's
- 40:31some sacrifices that's gonna have to take place once you know where you messed up
- 40:36and you have to clean up. So some sacrifices that you're gonna have to
- 40:39make is this. You may have to become a volunteer for a season,
- 40:45show up for thirty minutes or an hour somewhere to do a service. You
- 40:49may have to do some check for work and not get paid for it.
- 40:52But the but the but the understanding comes here and you negotiated with whoever the
- 40:59head administry that is, I'll come clean up your yard, I'll clean up
- 41:04your park, I'll help clean your facility. Not for payment. If you
- 41:07want to pay me, that's fine. But I would like to show up
- 41:10an hour every other day, twice a week or something to do some community
- 41:15service work, volunteer to wash some walls or whatever like that. And the
- 41:20only thing I want you to do is document these times and check my work
- 41:27rate, my work and keep them in a letter or in a folder,
- 41:32these scheduled times and my work performance, my attitude performance, how I work
- 41:37well around others, how I work well with people, how I carry myself,
- 41:40and all these descriptive terminology concerning how it will to work around me and
- 41:46be around me. I need. I just need this documented so that because
- 41:52I need to build a portfolio, I need to build a resume of some
- 41:54services that I have to take care of concerning my past. And I'm seeking
- 41:59to be abilitated so that my rights as a US citizen can be restored.
- 42:04So you may have to need it because because you may have a job to
- 42:07where the supervisors don't like you, so you may not be able to use
- 42:09your job, so you have to do others. You gotta go basically go
- 42:14to the extreme. And all these things are the tools to help you fight
- 42:20the fight that you have to fight, and you can win. You can
- 42:23do it. You just have to get the knowledge and the information and use
- 42:29wisdom and discretion for an ego and pride or a shame and all these different
- 42:35things to come upon you because people may see you sweeping around a church,
- 42:39or people may see you sweeping around the facility of painting some walls or picking
- 42:45up some trash and all that or concept, Know that you're doing this for
- 42:49a reason, Know that you have a why, Know you that you have
- 42:52an aim, Know that you have a reason why you need to do these
- 42:57things for the greater goods. So you may have to can fight some time
- 43:00and sacrifice some turn up and sacrifice some parties and sacrifice some business here and
- 43:06there to rebuild yourself, re estat yourself, and work on your as a
- 43:14man. Right. Wow, that's that's good boy. Time flies when you're
- 43:19having a good conversation. So we are coming to the end of the show.
- 43:25But I did want you to just leave a little word of an encouragement
- 43:34for our men today. Uh. You know another father who may be going
- 43:40through the same situation as you. Uh, just leave a little bit of
- 43:45an encouragement for them so that you know they can say, hey, I
- 43:51can make it too. Yes, I will say today you may find yourself
- 44:01in a deep, dark pit, but if you look up, you'll see
- 44:08like and you can get more. And the more they put dirt in that
- 44:15pit, you begin to raise up. But you have to want to get
- 44:21up. That pit is not permanent, it's only temporary. And because it's
- 44:29temporary, change it's gonna come, but you have to want it, you
- 44:31have to embrace it, and you have to go after that change, not
- 44:37receiving anyone's permission, but yours and your permission you've given yourself permission to get
- 44:45about that pit, and the strength and the hope and the faith to raise
- 44:50yourself up out of that pit. It's all you need. You're not too
- 44:54deep in that pit where God cannot raise it. Put his hand down and
- 44:59raise you up out of that pit. You have to want it, so
- 45:02you may have to raise your hands up while your hands is down by your
- 45:07side and your head is down while you in that pit. Look, get
- 45:12up, chests out, cheerin up, look to the sky, and raise
- 45:19your hands and cry out, Jesus, my Lord, I need your help.
- 45:25And not Ben declared that today it is not a warranty, but a
- 45:30guarantee. He will harken too the voice of your cry and hear you and
- 45:36raise you up out of that pit. Well, the only way you will
- 45:42ever even return to the pit is to help another man, or help another
- 45:46brother out of that pit. And I'll leave you with this today, and
- 45:52I hope that encourage any man, any father's, single father, wad or
- 45:58brother that finds us of down in any kind of pit. Get up,
- 46:04cheatin up, chest out, look up, and hands up, and cry
- 46:07out to God so that he can raise you out of that fit for that
- 46:12situation that you will because he declares that he's a very president in the time
- 46:17of trouble. Yeah, see encouraged. Yes, Oh that was wonderful.
- 46:22Well, we're coming to the end of the show. But I did want
- 46:28to say our next show would be uh two weeks from now on a Wednesday,
