- 0:34[SPEAKER_00]: shout out to Aaron Berkshire, providing the thumbnail image for this one, really appreciate Aaron.
- 0:41[SPEAKER_00]: So Jack Wars and Ram's both teams are four and two entering week seven.
- 0:46[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, this is a battle of good on good overall.
- 0:49[SPEAKER_00]: The Ram's are favored by three points.
- 0:51[SPEAKER_00]: The line opened at four and a half.
- 0:54[SPEAKER_00]: It is closed a little bit.
- 0:55[SPEAKER_00]: The gap is closed down to three and implied score in the range of 20 to 23 or 21 to 24.
- 1:00[SPEAKER_00]: The over under is 44 and a half.
- 1:01[SPEAKER_00]: So.
- 1:07[SPEAKER_00]: Vegas expecting both teams to score in the low to mid 20s.
- 1:12[SPEAKER_00]: Jaguars first trip to London for this new regime.
- 1:15[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously the Jaguars is a franchise, very familiar with London.
- 1:19[SPEAKER_00]: They're 65 over in London and they've been a lot more successful.
- 1:27[SPEAKER_00]: Lately and in general, in London, then they have been anywhere else, right?
- 1:32[SPEAKER_00]: But this is a new regime, handling it for the first time.
- 1:35[SPEAKER_00]: There are people in place that have done this before.
- 1:37[SPEAKER_00]: And Liam Cohen has gone to London for a football game before, right?
- 1:41[SPEAKER_00]: But all these people in the current leadership positions that they have, specifically looking at Liam Cohen, James Gladstone, and Tony Bicelli, are handling this for the first time.
- 1:52[SPEAKER_00]: The Jaguar's traveled to London Monday afternoon, evening.
- 1:55[SPEAKER_00]: Right?
- 1:56[SPEAKER_00]: The Rams are still in the Baltimore area after taking on the Ravens this past Sunday.
- 2:01[SPEAKER_00]: They won't be traveling until late on Friday, to London.
- 2:05[SPEAKER_00]: So two different strategies.
- 2:07[SPEAKER_00]: Both strategies have their merit.
- 2:09[SPEAKER_00]: We're going to find out which team looks more prepared.
- 2:11[SPEAKER_00]: Both teams away from home for the majority of the week and we'll have plenty of time.
- 2:15[SPEAKER_00]: for team bonding.
- 2:17[SPEAKER_00]: But Jaguar is being in London several days earlier than the Rams.
- 2:21[SPEAKER_00]: We'll see if that makes a difference.
- 2:23[SPEAKER_00]: Both teams have some injury concerns.
- 2:25[SPEAKER_00]: Devon Lloyd and Quentin Morris are out for the Jaguars.
- 2:28[SPEAKER_00]: They did not travel with the team.
- 2:30[SPEAKER_00]: Devon Lloyd, one of the top linebackers in the league right now in terms of just ball production.
- 2:36[SPEAKER_00]: and making big plays, he missed a good chunk of the game last week against the C-Hawks, but the Jack Wars do have plenty of linebacker depth, Vindrao Miller will step in and start for him and Vindrao has plenty of experience, got plenty of playing time last week and looked good on the defensive side of the ball for the Jack Wars overall.
- 2:56[SPEAKER_00]: And then with Quentin Morris out, it's a little bit of a dilemma because you also already have Britain's strange on injured reserve the Jaguar's top tight end and one of their top offensive players overall.
- 3:06[SPEAKER_00]: The Jaguar's added Jordan Acons to their practice squad.
- 3:10[SPEAKER_00]: He's a guy that Jaguar's fans should be familiar with plenty of time with the Houston Texans, and it's had some performances against the Jaguars in the past.
- 3:19[SPEAKER_00]: But that's kind of how the Jaguars are handling those two injury situations.
- 3:25[SPEAKER_00]: They're also monitoring Center Robert Hainesy, who missed last week with a hamstring injury.
- 3:30[SPEAKER_00]: They could really use him back.
- 3:33[SPEAKER_00]: No shade on the rookie gentleman, I think did a good job all things considered, but Robert Hainesy has the experience in this system.
- 3:40[SPEAKER_00]: He has the experience playing in the NFL.
- 3:42[SPEAKER_00]: He is just a better option right now.
- 3:44[SPEAKER_00]: He's also a captain for this football team a leader.
- 3:47[SPEAKER_00]: They would really like to have him out there.
- 3:49[SPEAKER_00]: He was limited on Wednesday.
- 3:51[SPEAKER_00]: The Army Brown also limited with the shoulder injury on Wednesday.
- 3:54[SPEAKER_00]: You imagine he'll be able to go.
- 3:56[SPEAKER_00]: Same thing with safety Eric Murray.
- 3:58[SPEAKER_00]: The Army Brown and Eric Murray.
- 3:59[SPEAKER_00]: been dealing with their injuries for the last few weeks, Eric Murray has a net injury suffered on the same play that Traveham Walker suffered a wrist injury and Traveham has back he only played 16 snaps last week, but he was full participant in practice and didn't have an injury designation going into last week's game, so hopefully Traveham Walker can ramp up.
- 4:20[SPEAKER_00]: the amount of snaps he can get against the Rams.
- 4:22[SPEAKER_00]: The Rams biggest concern is Puka Nuku is ankle.
- 4:25[SPEAKER_00]: He did not participate in practice on Wednesday.
- 4:28[SPEAKER_00]: Early reports from Ian Rapaport suggested that Nuku could be out for maybe weeks, whereas so far Sean McVeigh has just said he's day to day and was kind of more optimistic about the Rams potentially having Puka Nuku on.
- 4:45[SPEAKER_00]: Sunday, but again, not being able to practice Wednesday, definitely a situation among occurs Pukin and Kuhua might be the best receiver in football right now.
- 4:53[SPEAKER_00]: He certainly, uh, the most productive.
- 4:56[SPEAKER_00]: Offensive tackle, Rob Havenstein did not participate in practice.
- 5:01[SPEAKER_00]: He's a starter for the Rams, running back Blake Korum, who is a, uh,
- 5:06[SPEAKER_00]: You know, kind of role playing back for them behind Kyron Williams, and then Edge Josiah Stewart were all did not participate in practice on Wednesday, four of the Rams, injury situations to monitor on both sides, no question about it.
- 5:20[SPEAKER_00]: It is master and apprentice here in London on multiple fronts.
- 5:24[SPEAKER_00]: The Jaguars have been coined dubbed by some, you know, LA Rams South or East.
- 5:33[SPEAKER_00]: It's Liam Cohen versus Sean McVay.
- 5:34[SPEAKER_00]: Liam Cohen has teeth in the NFL, under Sean McVay, and was with the Rams for a long time in a variety of roles, including offensive coordinator.
- 5:44[SPEAKER_00]: So you've got Liam Cohen going up against somebody who taught him a lot in this league, and somebody who he has said,
- 5:51[SPEAKER_00]: you know, Sean McVeigh kind of gave him his Ph.D.
- 5:54[SPEAKER_00]: or Master's whatever it was in coaching.
- 5:57[SPEAKER_00]: And then you also have James Gladstone, Jack Wars GM, first-less sneak, Los Angeles Rams GM, less Sneed really kind of hand-picked James Gladstone to come into the Rams Organization, and
- 6:15[SPEAKER_00]: is the reason he's in the position he's in now James Gladstone is obviously incredibly smart hard working diligent all those things, but on the other side line or other press box, you've got two really important people, mentors for the Jaguar's current regime, bottom line, and that should not be overlooked.
- 6:42[SPEAKER_00]: You've also got a battle of former first overall pick quarterbacks, you know, Trevor Lawrence just turned 26 years old.
- 6:47[SPEAKER_00]: He's coming off too pretty good performances while Matthew Stafford, he's 37 in the Twilight of his career, but still playing great football.
- 6:54[SPEAKER_00]: Paranially, a top 10 quarterback, a guy where
- 6:57[SPEAKER_00]: You know, it doesn't get as much attention for it, but he certainly got the ability to fool you with his eyes the same way like a Patrick Mahomes does.
- 7:06[SPEAKER_00]: He can do the no look pass.
- 7:08[SPEAKER_00]: He can throw the ball from all sorts of different auto arm angles and get the ball in spots you just would not expect him to be able to.
- 7:14[SPEAKER_00]: So
- 7:15[SPEAKER_00]: He is established in this offense.
- 7:17[SPEAKER_00]: He's been with the Ramschomik Bay for a while.
- 7:19[SPEAKER_00]: Came into the season with a back injury, but that seems to be pretty much behind him at this point.
- 7:24[SPEAKER_00]: While Trevor Lawrence is kind of looking to fully establish himself in a single offense.
- 7:28[SPEAKER_00]: Now on his fourth offensive play collar in five years and yes, it is four.
- 7:32[SPEAKER_00]: You talk about your one under Urban Maya Darryl Bevel, then you get into the Doug Peters and Era and Doug Petersen's the primary offensive play collar in year one.
- 7:41[SPEAKER_00]: and then it seems like that kind of shifts over to Press Taylor and now you have Liam Cohen.
- 7:45[SPEAKER_00]: So he's still trying to find his footing quite honestly in an offense and have time on task and have experience and all that and this is I've mentioned it.
- 7:58[SPEAKER_00]: I think that
- 8:01[SPEAKER_00]: Urban Meyer, Darrell Bevel, that offense was basically not even an NFL offense, and then you get Doug Peterson in here and you get into like NFL passing game offense 101, and then now you're in like 401 or 501.
- 8:13[SPEAKER_00]: It is big time here with Liam Cohen, the amount of responsibility mentally that the quarterback has both preparation wise, pre-snap, post-snap, all that stuff, Trevor Lawrence seems to be finding his footing a little bit.
- 8:30[SPEAKER_00]: in this offense.
- 8:31[SPEAKER_00]: LAs offense is one of the best in the league at moving the ball through the air with Matthew Stafford and Company, while their ground game is more middle of the pack, they've got some good guys, they've got some physicality up front, but they're not running the ball a ton and they're not one of the most effective run games in football, but they are still a quality group that the jackwares need to worry about.
- 8:51[SPEAKER_00]: Now, the jackwares have one of the best all around defenses in the game.
- 9:00[SPEAKER_00]: probably top three four run defense units in the league.
- 9:04[SPEAKER_00]: Their big issue, their Achilles heel so far is giving up explosives in the passing game.
- 9:09[SPEAKER_00]: You saw that last week as well.
- 9:12[SPEAKER_00]: They're hoping more Travis Hunter, more Trayvon Walker and the addition of Greg Newsom can help in that regard this week and moving forward.
- 9:20[SPEAKER_00]: And this is the team in the NFL when it comes to turnovers, the team.
- 9:25[SPEAKER_00]: The Jaguar has failed to force a turnover last week, however, for the first time this season.
- 9:30[SPEAKER_00]: They're tied for the league league lead in turnover differential.
- 9:35[SPEAKER_00]: They still lead the league in turnovers forced with 14.
- 9:39[SPEAKER_00]: They're getting their hands on the ball in a lot of different ways.
- 9:43[SPEAKER_00]: Punching the ball out when they get to the tackle point, trying to get their hands up at the line of scrimmage, trying to get stripsaxes well, and then also jumping routes.
- 9:53[SPEAKER_00]: they might need to be able to do that in order to get a dub in London against these rams.
- 9:58[SPEAKER_00]: The rams defense looking at them against the Jaguar's offense.
- 10:01[SPEAKER_00]: Rams defense has 19 sacks already to their name while the Jaguar's offensive line outside of a butt kicking last week at the hands of the seawks.
- 10:09[SPEAKER_00]: Jaguar's offensive line has been excellent protecting the passer outside of last week.
- 10:13[SPEAKER_00]: and also, pay me the way in the run game.
- 10:15[SPEAKER_00]: Like Travis E.T.
- 10:16[SPEAKER_00]: and he's got some nice holes to work with.
- 10:18[SPEAKER_00]: Trevor Lawrence has generally had plenty of time.
- 10:20[SPEAKER_00]: The weakest link on the Jack Wars offensive line, which was a week link against the Seahawks, has been walker a little so far.
- 10:27[SPEAKER_00]: He's allowed the third most pressures of any offensive tackle and football through six weeks.
- 10:32[SPEAKER_00]: He's also allowed five sacks, which is the worst mark in the NFL, for any offensive tackle.
- 10:37[SPEAKER_00]: He's been hot and cold through six games.
- 10:40[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 10:40[SPEAKER_00]: When he's been good, he's been very good against Carolina San Francisco and Kansas City.
- 10:45[SPEAKER_00]: Those three games he allowed a combined two pressures.
- 10:50[SPEAKER_00]: But against Houston, Cincinnati.
- 10:54[SPEAKER_00]: And Seattle, completely different story.
- 10:56[SPEAKER_00]: He will face an extremely tough test this week.
- 10:59[SPEAKER_00]: Jared verse will be one on one with him quite often Byron Young, he'll see as well a little bit.
- 11:04[SPEAKER_00]: So in the Rams, there, another team that runs, stunts that runs, games up front, and Walker a little struggled with those last week.
- 11:12[SPEAKER_00]: So that's going to be a key for the Jaguar.
- 11:15[SPEAKER_00]: Certainly is Walker a little bouncing back and he doesn't have to be perfect, but he can't be as bad as he's been at his worst.
- 11:22[SPEAKER_00]: So far this year.
- 11:23[SPEAKER_00]: To go along with a good pass rush the Rams, they've been send you through the air and on the ground.
- 11:28[SPEAKER_00]: They allow less than 200 yards per game passing and only 3.8 yards per carry on the ground.
- 11:33[SPEAKER_00]: Looking at the Jaguars.
- 11:37[SPEAKER_00]: they left a lot of points on the board last week due to kicker cam little not being able to make kicks got the yips a little bit missed kicks that should have been gimmece form and then Logan Cook not playing his best ball at punner either I mean he's had plenty of opportunities to punt the ball lately it's it's been a little hit or miss right you've seen some good ones you've seen a lot more
- 12:02[SPEAKER_00]: average punting than you would like to see from a Logan Cook so far.
- 12:06[SPEAKER_00]: The Jaguars are looking to avoid their first losing streak of this new era and of the 2020-5 season.
- 12:13[SPEAKER_00]: They're also trying to keep pace in the AFC South with the Cole 2 or 5 and 1, the Jaguars are 4 and 2, they can win this game and the Cole 2 go out to L.A.
- 12:21[SPEAKER_00]: and lose to the Chargers and you're tied at the top again.
- 12:26[SPEAKER_00]: If you lose this game and the Cole 2 win,
- 12:29[SPEAKER_00]: You're in a couple game hole there.
- 12:31[SPEAKER_00]: The jaguars are also trying to keep pace in the AFC wild card race.
- 12:34[SPEAKER_00]: If they can't keep pace in the AFC South, they've got to keep up in the wild card race.
- 12:39[SPEAKER_00]: Following the four and three would hurt, but BM5 and two would be a huge sigh of relief and also just, it'd be big for the standings.
- 12:47[SPEAKER_00]: While the Rams, they're just looking to keep pace in the NFC West right now.
- 12:51[SPEAKER_00]: They're tied atop the NFC West, but there's three teams at the top, the 49ers, the Seahawks and the Rams,
- 13:00[SPEAKER_00]: And they're trying to win their division.
- 13:02[SPEAKER_00]: They're trying to host a home playoff game.
- 13:05[SPEAKER_00]: In order to do that, beating the Jaguars would be a huge step in the right direction.
- 13:09[SPEAKER_00]: The Seahawks already beat the Jaguars.
- 13:11[SPEAKER_00]: The 49ers lost to the Jags and the Jags take on the Cardinals later in the season in Arizona.
- 13:19[SPEAKER_00]: So, big game for both teams is it a must win, I don't think so.
- 13:25[SPEAKER_00]: If either team wants to win their division, which they do, if either team wants to host a home playoff game, this is a pivotal game towards that end.
- 13:35[SPEAKER_00]: Really appreciate y'all tuning in.
- 13:36[SPEAKER_00]: If you enjoy the content, please like and subscribe.
- 13:39[SPEAKER_00]: Y'all have a good one.
