- 0:29SPEAKER_02: From our friend Ruth Barberino.
- 0:32SPEAKER_00: Oh.
- 0:34SPEAKER_00: I did not get it.
- 0:35SPEAKER_02: You're putting it all together?
- 0:36SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 0:37SPEAKER_00: Now I'm putting it on it.
- 0:38SPEAKER_00: Yes, now I'm putting it all together.
- 0:41SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 0:41SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 0:42SPEAKER_00: Oh.
- 0:43SPEAKER_01: Hi, Ruth.
- 0:45SPEAKER_01: It's Ruth Barberino.
- 0:47SPEAKER_00: Ruth Barbarino?
- 0:48SPEAKER_00: I did not think we were.
- 0:51SPEAKER_01: Sean Seal.
- 0:52SPEAKER_01: Oh my God, Sean.
- 0:54SPEAKER_01: Which street do I live on again in Southport?
- 0:56SPEAKER_01: I'm getting to that age.
- 0:57SPEAKER_01: What's this?
- 0:58SPEAKER_01: Shout out one of the streets over there.
- 1:00SPEAKER_02: Southport Street.
- 1:01SPEAKER_01: Southport.
- 1:02SPEAKER_01: South?
- 1:02SPEAKER_00: You live on Southport Street in the street.
- 1:04SPEAKER_01: He's the flipping genius.
- 1:05SPEAKER_01: I live on Southport Street in Southport.
- 1:07SPEAKER_01: Hold on a second.
- 1:08SPEAKER_01: I gotta lay one up.
- 1:09SPEAKER_00: Okay, perfect.
- 1:11SPEAKER_00: You're Virginia Slims?
- 1:12SPEAKER_01: Oh, yeah, that's very good.
- 1:14SPEAKER_00: That's why it's less nicotine, you know, over slim.
- 1:16SPEAKER_01: The slim, exactly.
- 1:19SPEAKER_00: I know you're trying to cut cut back here.
- 1:21SPEAKER_01: Not really.
- 1:22SPEAKER_01: In fact, I'll be laying down on my front lawn on Southport Street in Southport.
- 1:26SPEAKER_01: Oh my gosh.
- 1:27SPEAKER_01: That's really funny.
- 1:28SPEAKER_00: I know you've got one of those beautiful calf hands, but because I mean I see you wearing it right now.
- 1:32SPEAKER_00: But do you have one of those vintage?
- 1:34SPEAKER_00: You remember those lounger chairs where they were like the plastic kind of thing?
- 1:38SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it looked like a whole bunch of spaghetti noodles all down and they unfolded.
- 1:42SPEAKER_01: It's a trifold chair.
- 1:43SPEAKER_01: I still got mine.
- 1:44SPEAKER_01: I'm gonna be laying out mine later.
- 1:46SPEAKER_01: I got my trifold uh, you know, mirror that I'm gonna layer there.
- 1:50SPEAKER_01: I'm gonna be right on the front lawn of Southport Street.
- 1:52SPEAKER_01: Oh, damn right, right on the front lawn of Southport Street in Southport.
- 1:56SPEAKER_00: And by the way, the baby oil's not just for you and Murray.
- 1:58SPEAKER_01: And I'm gonna tear it up.
- 2:00SPEAKER_01: No, it's for everybody to watch.
- 2:02SPEAKER_01: Oh, that sounds good, huh?
- 2:04SPEAKER_00: That's a good Father's Day for Murray, if you'd ask me.
- 2:07SPEAKER_00: Could you?
- 2:08SPEAKER_01: Oh, yeah, by the way, I meant to say that.
- 2:10SPEAKER_01: Russ, happy Father's Day.
- 2:12SPEAKER_01: And remember what Ruth Babarino always says.
- 2:14SPEAKER_00: What is he always saying?
- 2:15SPEAKER_01: You're my daddy.
- 2:20SPEAKER_00: Bye, Ruth.
- 2:21SPEAKER_00: Oh, damn it.
- 2:23SPEAKER_00: Bathrooms across the hall.
- 2:24SPEAKER_00: You can go spit that in there.
- 2:27unknown: Spit that in there.
- 2:28SPEAKER_00: Sounded like there was something coming up, you know what I was saying?
- 2:30SPEAKER_00: It's always dust when it's.
- 2:32SPEAKER_00: Absolutely.
- 2:32SPEAKER_00: That's from that's from uh Brooke and Ruth Barberino, of course.
- 2:35SPEAKER_02: Hope Russ enjoys.
- 2:37SPEAKER_00: This is another thing that came in on our text line because you can text us.
- 2:40SPEAKER_02: Southport Street and Southport.
- 2:41SPEAKER_02: That's the quickest you came up with.
- 2:44SPEAKER_00: It's really sad.
- 2:45SPEAKER_00: Couldn't even come up with like, I don't know, I know.
- 2:48SPEAKER_00: Maple.
- 2:49SPEAKER_00: Oh my gosh.
- 2:50SPEAKER_00: Um, this is another thing that came in on our text line.
- 2:52SPEAKER_00: Did you guys hear about the neighbor in mini in Minneapolis?
- 2:55SPEAKER_00: So this guy is suing the former owners of his home.
- 2:58SPEAKER_00: Oh.
- 2:59SPEAKER_00: He's suing the former owners of his home.
- 3:02SPEAKER_00: So he bought it off them, okay?
- 3:03SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 3:04SPEAKER_00: For not disclosing the fact that his neighbor was a douchebag.
- 3:08SPEAKER_00: Wait, you can do that?
- 3:09SPEAKER_02: I don't know.
- 3:10SPEAKER_02: No, I mean, I got good neighbors.
- 3:11SPEAKER_02: I don't I mean, I'm in good shape.
- 3:12SPEAKER_02: Well, I have one douchebag.
- 3:14SPEAKER_00: Let's read on.
- 3:15SPEAKER_02: 11 years, never waved once after all the times I waved.
- 3:17SPEAKER_00: Oh my god, I hate that.
- 3:18SPEAKER_02: God, hey.
- 3:19SPEAKER_00: It really bugs it bugs me.
- 3:21SPEAKER_00: Sorry.
- 3:21SPEAKER_00: I know.
- 3:22SPEAKER_00: No, I'm always.
- 3:23SPEAKER_02: He really dispassionately got it out of me.
- 3:24SPEAKER_02: I'm like, you think you're that far above me?
- 3:26SPEAKER_00: Well, let's see how douchebaggery this is.
- 3:28SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 3:28SPEAKER_00: So Davis Maturi says there was a pre there there was previous behavior from the neighbor that raised a red flag.
- 3:36SPEAKER_00: I wonder if it was the not waving thing.
- 3:37SPEAKER_00: Anyway.
- 3:38SPEAKER_00: You know.
- 3:38SPEAKER_00: And that's something that should have been we'll get back there, Scott.
- 3:40SPEAKER_00: Hold on.
- 3:41SPEAKER_00: And that's something that should have been in the disclosure statement prior to the purchase of the home.
- 3:45SPEAKER_00: Oh.
- 3:45SPEAKER_00: Maturi Okay, this is extreme.
- 3:48SPEAKER_00: Was shot by the neighbor.
- 3:50SPEAKER_00: All right.
- 3:50SPEAKER_00: That's a problem, neighbor.
- 3:52SPEAKER_00: You think it's bad when you don't get a wave.
- 3:54SPEAKER_00: This guy's getting a bullet to the booty.
- 3:56SPEAKER_00: While doing some front yard tree trimming.
- 3:58SPEAKER_00: They that came after more than a year of harassment and 38 calls to 911.
- 4:04SPEAKER_00: Oh.
- 4:04SPEAKER_00: And public records, Maturi learned that a request for a restraining order had been filed against the neighbor before.
- 4:11SPEAKER_00: Maturi is alleging that the sellers had a duty to disclose anything that would significantly affect an ordinary buyer's use and enjoyment.
- 4:18SPEAKER_00: No, they wanted to get away from that guy.
- 4:20SPEAKER_02: You know, although now knowing the extreme of the story, um wouldn't police records have this?
- 4:26SPEAKER_02: Why would you have to disclose it?
- 4:28SPEAKER_02: But then again, who checks police records?
- 4:30SPEAKER_02: Well, first of all, I don't know that police records come up under a house.
- 4:36SPEAKER_02: They would come up under a name, but so what do you do?
- 4:39SPEAKER_02: Is that the new thing now?
- 4:40SPEAKER_02: You go down to town hall and be like, uh Freedom of Information Act.
- 4:43SPEAKER_02: I need all information on the Joneses who used to live, and then you start to see all the times the cops might have been at the house.
- 4:50SPEAKER_02: Has anybody done this?
- 4:51SPEAKER_02: I've never thought of this ever.
- 4:53SPEAKER_00: Here's my unfortunate answer for this because yes, I would love for that to happen.
- 4:57SPEAKER_00: But it's the same as when somebody who you work with is terrible, and then they go on to another place.
- 5:06SPEAKER_00: So the the the other place that they're applying at calls.
- 5:09SPEAKER_00: How was Jessica Smith?
- 5:11SPEAKER_02: Hey, they worked here from June uh 2021 until July of 2025.
- 5:17SPEAKER_02: And then sometimes you slide in the line, because technically that's all you're supposed to say.
- 5:21SPEAKER_02: They worked here during that time.
- 5:22SPEAKER_02: And and uh yes, you're not at the yes, nobody ever told you this if you get called.
- 5:28SPEAKER_00: No.
- 5:28SPEAKER_02: Yes, you are the the the stance is you you say, Well, I can tell you they worked here from the you could even say it, they were employed here from this time to this time.
- 5:38SPEAKER_02: Now, if under your breath you simply go, good luck.
- 5:41SPEAKER_02: Uh that's up to you.
- 5:42SPEAKER_00: Well, that's the thing.
- 5:43SPEAKER_00: Like, if if we've had somebody who's worked here and then they go to apply somewhere else and they put me down as a reference, I always because you know job, Allie.
- 5:51SPEAKER_00: They're they're terrible.
- 5:52SPEAKER_00: And I always go, they're great.
- 5:54SPEAKER_00: You're gonna love them.
- 5:55SPEAKER_00: Oh keep it.
- 5:56SPEAKER_00: You're doing the whole I hope they are as good for you as they were for us.
- 6:00SPEAKER_00: Exactly.
- 6:01SPEAKER_00: Take them, take them, take them off our hands.
- 6:03SPEAKER_00: We hate to see them go.
- 6:05SPEAKER_00: Just kidding.
- 6:05SPEAKER_00: We hate to see them go.
- 6:08SPEAKER_00: You know?
- 6:09SPEAKER_00: That's my that's my analogy on that.
- 6:11SPEAKER_02: How quick to get them started?
- 6:13SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 6:15SPEAKER_00: Unfortunately, I don't think there's anything you can do about this.
- 6:19SPEAKER_02: No, I don't think there is either.
- 6:21SPEAKER_02: Although, I mean, now, had it been like, I don't know, there was a prop.
- 6:25SPEAKER_02: Well, this is like a lot of people get home inspections.
- 6:28SPEAKER_02: So had there been something that was not disclosed, like, oh, the septic tank mold, the septic tank was ready to collapse in.
- 6:35SPEAKER_02: I knew about it.
- 6:36SPEAKER_02: There was a ghost.
- 6:37SPEAKER_02: That's a big one in New York.
- 6:39SPEAKER_02: I unfortunately don't think that the neighbor thing's there.
- 6:41SPEAKER_02: But that brings me to a question.
- 6:43SPEAKER_02: Yes, please.
- 6:43SPEAKER_02: Will that make people now go use the Freedom of Information Act and try to get police records on hey, are there any records on the Joneses?
- 6:52SPEAKER_02: I love this because I 'cause then you can find out how many times the cops were called to the house and you can start looking and be like, oh.
- 7:00SPEAKER_00: Yes, yes, exactly.
- 7:01SPEAKER_00: I I wish that there was like some sort of reference system.
- 7:04SPEAKER_00: Well, I guess this would be it.
- 7:05SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 7:06SPEAKER_00: For a new neighborhood.
- 7:07SPEAKER_02: I mean that or just don't buy next to the trailer park.
