- 0:00Speaker 1: Bill Mark Simon Show, Live from the wor Life Back Studios.
- 0:07Speaker 2: Hey, it's our number three, number three, that's right. We
- 0:12Speaker 2: started at nine am. Now it's nine am till noon
- 0:15Speaker 2: every day, nine to noon every weekday. So it's our
- 0:19Speaker 2: number three. Where watching out for anything with Janine Piro.
- 0:24Speaker 2: Janeine Piro the district Attorney in Washington, d C. She's
- 0:29Speaker 2: the US attorney in Washington, d C. So I had
- 0:33Speaker 2: a little bit of a clash with President Trump. There
- 0:38Speaker 2: was that vandalism case of the reflecting pool. Now there
- 0:42Speaker 2: was vandalism and the video of guys trying to vandalize
- 0:47Speaker 2: that pool. There's one the guy even jumps into the pool.
- 0:50Speaker 2: That's vandalism right there. But President Trump was convinced that
- 0:56Speaker 2: the one hundred foot gash in the lining was caused
- 0:59Speaker 2: by the van. Janine Piro takes it to court. She's
- 1:02Speaker 2: trying to prosecute the guy. Hostile judge who'd just given
- 1:07Speaker 2: her nothing but a hard time. He's yelling and screaming,
- 1:09Speaker 2: shouldn't have enough evidence, so at some point she drops
- 1:12Speaker 2: the case. She should have called President Trump first, should
- 1:17Speaker 2: have talked to him about it, but she didn't, so
- 1:20Speaker 2: he was upset and he used some pretty strong language
- 1:24Speaker 2: against her. So everybody's you know, if you're watching MS
- 1:28Speaker 2: NOW or CNN or wherever, they're telling you several because
- 1:32Speaker 2: they would they make up these sources, twelve sources say
- 1:35Speaker 2: that she's going to be fired. I don't think he's
- 1:37Speaker 2: gonna be fired, but he was not happy. Take a
- 1:39Speaker 2: listen to President Trump.
- 1:40Speaker 1: I was disappointed with Janine Piro, really disappointed with Jannine Piro.
- 1:45Speaker 2: She folded like an umbrella. All right, that's not good.
- 1:49Speaker 2: But remember they're longtime friends. They've known each other forty years,
- 1:55Speaker 2: maybe thirty five years, and her husband many years. At
- 1:59Speaker 2: Alpiro the attorney, was Trump's attorney and represented Trump and
- 2:03Speaker 2: a lot. So I mean they're good, old old family friends.
- 2:09Speaker 2: So she's got a lot of leeway with him. But
- 2:12Speaker 2: he was not happy.
- 2:13Speaker 1: And frankly, I think she choked because the judge was
- 2:17Speaker 1: really vicious. Instead of going after the people that did it,
- 2:22Speaker 1: the judge went after her and went after her department,
- 2:26Speaker 1: and I guess she choked.
- 2:27Speaker 2: I don't know what the hell happened, all right, but
- 2:30Speaker 2: I don't think she get fired. She did go see
- 2:33Speaker 2: him last night. She went to the White House last
- 2:35Speaker 2: night didn't look like it went that well. But she'll
- 2:39Speaker 2: you know, he might yell and scream or whatever. But
- 2:41Speaker 2: I because of their long, long, long, long, deep friendship,
- 2:46Speaker 2: I think she's gonna get another chance. Here we'll see.
- 2:49Speaker 2: Now ms NOW is going after her, their senior reporter.
- 2:55Speaker 2: So she should lose her legal license. She pursued a
- 2:59Speaker 2: criminal care and lied in federal court. You can lose
- 3:03Speaker 2: your law license for that. She would have been humiliated
- 3:06Speaker 2: if she brought the case. There was exculpatory evidence and
- 3:10Speaker 2: she did. Now, this is what ms NOW does. They'll
- 3:12Speaker 2: do this kind of stuff and not point out to
- 3:15Speaker 2: you that this happens all the time in a million
- 3:17Speaker 2: cases where the prosecutor's case isn't that strong and there
- 3:21Speaker 2: might be some exculpatory evidence that the prosecutor ignored. That
- 3:25Speaker 2: happens all the time constantly. So this MSNBC claim absolutely ridiculous. Now,
- 3:34Speaker 2: in many cases, these bar associations are left wing Trump hating,
- 3:39Speaker 2: like the one in New York. The bar in New York.
- 3:41Speaker 2: They remember they took Rudy Julie on his law license away,
- 3:44Speaker 2: which is absolutely insane because of I'm trying to remember
- 3:48Speaker 2: it was it the election case or so they didn't
- 3:50Speaker 2: like the case he brought in court, but he was
- 3:52Speaker 2: representing a client. He's a lawyer representing a client. But again,
- 3:56Speaker 2: left wing Trump hating bar Association never know what they
- 4:00Speaker 2: could do. But the Democrats now pushing this. And you know,
- 4:06Speaker 2: if you could lose your license for if it was
- 4:10Speaker 2: a crime to bring a fake a case or a
- 4:12Speaker 2: case that's not that strong, Letitia James would get the
- 4:15Speaker 2: electric chair. I mean Alvin Bragg would be in prison
- 4:20Speaker 2: for life. I mean, Alvin Bragg brought a case against Trump.
- 4:24Speaker 2: Our greatest legal scholar ever said he's read the case
- 4:28Speaker 2: one hundred times and he can't figure out what the
- 4:30Speaker 2: charge is. So but again it's MSNBC. What do you
- 4:34Speaker 2: expect from them now? Facebook course very very big, Instagram
- 4:42Speaker 2: very very big, TikTok very big, x Twitter very big. Now,
- 4:50Speaker 2: if you remember my Space your kids today, why in
- 4:53Speaker 2: two thousand and eight, all we had was MySpace. There
- 4:56Speaker 2: was no Facebook yet. So it's hard to believe, but
- 5:01Speaker 2: my Space was the number one biggest social media. My
- 5:06Speaker 2: Space was everything. Facebook was nothing. But somehow, somehow my
- 5:12Speaker 2: Space just went nowhere and Facebook took over and MySpace
- 5:17Speaker 2: was it they lost everything to Facebook, and they eventually
- 5:20Speaker 2: just went away. But apparently it's still there. These guys
- 5:24Speaker 2: have bought MySpace and they're plotting the comeback. The owners
- 5:29Speaker 2: of their brothers, Tim and Chris Vanderhook. They're going to
- 5:33Speaker 2: relaunch my Space with a new vision now again. Between
- 5:37Speaker 2: two thousand and five and two thousand and eight. Two
- 5:41Speaker 2: thousand and five to two thousand and eight, my Space
- 5:43Speaker 2: was the social media totally dominant. How are they going
- 5:47Speaker 2: to bring it back? I have no idea. I don't
- 5:49Speaker 2: know what are they going to possibly bring back? What
- 5:53Speaker 2: do you what would you need it for? Facebook? You
- 5:56Speaker 2: can post all kinds of stuff. Instagram it's good for
- 6:00Speaker 2: pictures and reels and TikTok, you know, it's great for
- 6:04Speaker 2: video and all that stuff. So what do you need
- 6:07Speaker 2: from MySpace? What could they do that nobody else is doing? Twitters,
- 6:11Speaker 2: you know, x or three post a lot of writing
- 6:13Speaker 2: and politics and all that. So there's nothing left for
- 6:17Speaker 2: MySpace to do. Let's see if these two guys can
- 6:19Speaker 2: figure it out. I mean, can you think of anything
- 6:25Speaker 2: that was really big went away, vanished and then made
- 6:30Speaker 2: a comeback. I can't think of any example anywhere in
- 6:33Speaker 2: the world, you know, always try to bring back something
- 6:35Speaker 2: from a years ago, the hostess, Twinkies or something. Something
- 6:40Speaker 2: never ever comes back. So Cuba, you know, has been
- 6:46Speaker 2: in darkness for a few days. The electric grid collapsed
- 6:49Speaker 2: over the weekend. This was after three nationwide blackouts in July. Now,
- 6:56Speaker 2: some of it has to do with the oil blockade
- 6:58Speaker 2: and then a whale and all that. That was their
- 7:01Speaker 2: main supplier of oil, so they're short of oil and
- 7:04Speaker 2: then that makes them short of power. There's pressure on
- 7:06Speaker 2: the power grid crew. Cuba really really struggling to find
- 7:11Speaker 2: fuel imports. That was a key source of their energy, Venezuela,
- 7:15Speaker 2: so that's been cut off and again three blackouts in
- 7:19Speaker 2: July and this weekend the entire country without power. Venezuela
- 7:25Speaker 2: had been Cuba's main oil supplier with some Mexican oil,
- 7:30Speaker 2: but total total darkness in the island of Cuba. But
- 7:35Speaker 2: that's socialism, a you know, in and out Burger, right,
- 7:41Speaker 2: this is like the number one burger in America. In
- 7:45Speaker 2: and out Burger. They're only in California. Then they went
- 7:47Speaker 2: to the West coast. There's a few in some states
- 7:50Speaker 2: that will not come to New York. People have begged
- 7:53Speaker 2: them to come to New York. In and Out Burger.
- 7:55Speaker 2: It's like Shakeshack, but much better, and it's just phenomenal.
- 8:00Speaker 2: They will not come to New York because the numbers
- 8:02Speaker 2: don't work. You know, everybody's got a formula. It has
- 8:06Speaker 2: to be a rey right ratio of rant to cost
- 8:09Speaker 2: to this to that cost too much to operate in
- 8:11Speaker 2: New York. Doesn't fit their model. But they're always voted
- 8:16Speaker 2: the number one burger, always number one burger in America. Well,
- 8:21Speaker 2: this is the first year they ever lost. Yeah, they lost.
- 8:25Speaker 2: There's a new chain that's coming up also California, and
- 8:31Speaker 2: they're the number one burger in America. Now. It's called
- 8:34Speaker 2: Habit Burger. Habit Burger and Grill's Habit Burger and Grill.
- 8:39Speaker 2: Habit Burger and Grill. What they're famous for is the
- 8:42Speaker 2: double char burger that has actually beaten out five guys
- 8:47Speaker 2: Shake Shack and in and Out Habit Burger and Grill.
- 8:51Speaker 2: The signature char Burger is caramelized onions, lettuce, tomato, pickles,
- 8:56Speaker 2: mayo on a toasted bun. The double chart it's two
- 9:00Speaker 2: flame kissed beef patties. Now, one thing that makes it good.
- 9:05Speaker 2: You know, all these places use a grill, not habit Burger.
- 9:10Speaker 2: They use actual flames. They no flat top grill. They
- 9:13Speaker 2: actually flame broil it. And they've been doing this since
- 9:18Speaker 2: nineteen seventy and they've got three hundred and fifty locations
- 9:24Speaker 2: all California on the West coast. Expect them to come
- 9:28Speaker 2: to New York long before we ever get an in
- 9:31Speaker 2: and out Burger. So just remember that name habit Burger
- 9:35Speaker 2: and grill. They're going to be big. Speaking of Instagram,
- 9:38Speaker 2: look at this. Here's remember Joan Collins. Here's Joan Collins
- 9:42Speaker 2: running around Centrepez. She looks pretty good. She's ninety three.
- 9:48Speaker 2: Of course this is her Instagram and obviously going to
- 9:50Speaker 2: be very careful what pictures you've put up. And they
- 9:53Speaker 2: notice they're all from pretty far away, but give it credit.
- 9:57Speaker 2: Ninety three, she's still Joan Collins. Remember Dinah's You and
- 10:00Speaker 2: all that she was running around Sanchope. You know a
- 10:03Speaker 2: lot of those old sex symbols are alive. Angie Dickinson,
- 10:07Speaker 2: she's alive. She's ninety four. I mean, there's Angie Dickinson,
- 10:11Speaker 2: who remember from Policewoman that was considered revolutionary BAC. This
- 10:16Speaker 2: is hard to believe. Back in the seventies Mary Tyler
- 10:19Speaker 2: Moore show was revolutionary. Look at there's a single woman
- 10:22Speaker 2: living by herself. Wow, this was the seventies. And then Policewoman,
- 10:27Speaker 2: Why it's an actual female detective. Who's ever heard of
- 10:30Speaker 2: such a thing? But this was the seventies. And then,
- 10:33Speaker 2: of course Angie Dickinson, the part of the rat Pack,
- 10:38Speaker 2: was thought to have quite the affair with JFK. John F.
- 10:42Speaker 2: Kennedy Junior. I've asked her about it a million times.
- 10:46Speaker 2: She will never say a word about it. I got
- 10:49Speaker 2: her close on the air once to just sort of
- 10:53Speaker 2: ignite now, but she wouldn't do it. You wouldn't do it. Also,
- 10:57Speaker 2: her and Johnny Carson, I think that was a bit
- 10:59Speaker 2: of an eye him for a while there. But she's
- 11:02Speaker 2: ninety four, still going strong, still running around Hollywood. Now.
- 11:08Speaker 2: At the the other end of the age spectrum, here's
- 11:11Speaker 2: this kid in Florida. He's eighteen. He's considered an unbelievable
- 11:17Speaker 2: brainiac prodigy. He just became the world's youngest college professor
- 11:24Speaker 2: at eighteen. Like he finished college like at sixteen. What
- 11:29Speaker 2: an annoying guy? Isn't this guy annoying? Eighteen? World's youngest
- 11:33Speaker 2: college professor. Now, this is Miami Dade College. All right?
- 11:37Speaker 2: That is that a real college, Miami Dade. Yeah, No,
- 11:40Speaker 2: that's a real college, Miami Dade College. He's teaching kids. Now,
- 11:44Speaker 2: if you're in college, wouldn't you be nineteen or twenty?
- 11:47Speaker 2: And the professor is younger than you. He actually made
- 11:51Speaker 2: the Guinness Book of World Records. He's teaching engineering at
- 11:55Speaker 2: the age of eighteen, an actual professor in a college. Unbelievable.
- 12:01Speaker 2: So you know who else is going from? Clint Eastwood?
- 12:05Speaker 2: How old is he? He's like ninety three, ninety four,
- 12:07Speaker 2: is still directing movies. Kevin Costner, Actually, his son is
- 12:12Speaker 2: on a podcast talking about the ninety six. He's ninety
- 12:16Speaker 2: six years old, ninety six and still going strong. But
- 12:21Speaker 2: apparently Kevin Costner was in a movie, A Perfect World.
- 12:25Speaker 2: Clint Eastwood's the director, nineteen nineties, and Costner had become
- 12:30Speaker 2: a huge star. He was a big star all of
- 12:32Speaker 2: a sudden, and apparently he had a really big ego.
- 12:37Speaker 2: So he's sitting in his trailer on the movie set
- 12:40Speaker 2: and he won't come out. He's giving him a hard time.
- 12:44Speaker 2: He's not coming out of his trailer, and Clint Eastwood
- 12:47Speaker 2: is explaining to people, you shouldn't even be in the trailer.
- 12:52Speaker 2: You should just sit here on the set. You want
- 12:53Speaker 2: to learn about movies. You want to see how they're made.
- 12:56Speaker 2: You want to learn how to make movies. Don't go
- 12:58Speaker 2: in the trailer ever. Just sit around the set, watch
- 13:00Speaker 2: them set up, watch them set the camera, watch them
- 13:03Speaker 2: set the lights, and learn. But a lot of stars
- 13:06Speaker 2: go back to the trailer when they're not needed. And
- 13:08Speaker 2: then it was time for a scene. He's in the scene, Costner,
- 13:11Speaker 2: but he wouldn't come out of the trailer. So they
- 13:13Speaker 2: told Clint he doesn't want to come out of his trailer.
- 13:16Speaker 2: So Clint Eastwood, if you're the director, you're supposed to
- 13:19Speaker 2: go in there and beg the guy and plead with
- 13:21Speaker 2: the guy. So Clint Eastwood said, send him home. They said,
- 13:28Speaker 2: but he's in the scene. I don't care send him home.
- 13:31Speaker 2: So they the trailer told him go home, you're not needed.
- 13:35Speaker 2: So Costner said, hey, I'm in the scene. You need me.
- 13:38Speaker 2: I'm in the scene. I guess you're not go home.
- 13:42Speaker 2: So apparently the next day he was on time, ready
- 13:45Speaker 2: to go at all times. Learned his lesson from the
- 13:48Speaker 2: great Clint Eastwood, hey, well, take some calls. Next eight
- 13:52Speaker 2: hundred three two one zero Seven ten is the number.
- 13:56Speaker 2: Eight hundred three two one zero, said Van ten
