- 0:10Speaker 1: Welcome to The Favorites, your go to NFL betting podcast.
- 0:13Speaker 1: We are part of the Action Network family of podcasts.
- 0:16Speaker 1: I'm Brandon Kravitz, your hosts. Back at it with the
- 0:18Speaker 1: first lady of the pod, Kendra Middleton. On today's show,
- 0:22Speaker 1: the divisional previews continue. We head to the Dirty South Tampa, Atlanta, Carolina,
- 0:29Speaker 1: and New Orleans at Donovan from iHeartRadio and Tampa hops
- 0:33Speaker 1: on with us shortly to break down what we expect
- 0:36Speaker 1: to see from the drunkest division in the entire National
- 0:40Speaker 1: Football League. We are one NFL game in, Kendra, and
- 0:42Speaker 1: I've already suffered my first bad beat of the year.
- 0:45Speaker 1: I had the Cardinals plus one and a half, and
- 0:48Speaker 1: here comes Haines King rumbling down the field into the
- 0:51Speaker 1: end zone as time expires. So let's get those out
- 0:55Speaker 1: of the way in the preseason, I guess, because I'm
- 0:58Speaker 1: already in mid season form over here.
- 1:00Speaker 2: I was disappointed. You fell asleep on your couch for
- 1:03Speaker 2: this game.
- 1:04Speaker 1: Oh but let me tell you cheat code. And I
- 1:06Speaker 1: learned this from Sean Little on Buckets. He does this
- 1:08Speaker 1: with the NBA, where he won't watch the late games.
- 1:11Speaker 1: He wakes up in the morning, makes a cup of
- 1:12Speaker 1: coffee and then we'll watch late night NBA games first
- 1:16Speaker 1: thing in the morning.
- 1:17Speaker 3: I'm an early.
- 1:18Speaker 1: Riser, so that sort of strategy fits the molds for me,
- 1:22Speaker 1: like an old man who just turned forty one. That day,
- 1:25Speaker 1: I fell asleep at halftime hard, I mean, mouth open, drool,
- 1:30Speaker 1: all of that. And then I wake up in the morning,
- 1:33Speaker 1: strong cup of coffee and watch the second half of
- 1:36Speaker 1: the Hall of Fame game. The sun hadn't even come
- 1:38Speaker 1: up yet. It was wonderful.
- 1:40Speaker 2: But the morning person at all, I am a night owl,
- 1:43Speaker 2: like in my during COVID, when nothing actually existed and
- 1:47Speaker 2: nothing was real. I was going to bed at four
- 1:50Speaker 2: o'clock in the morning and getting up at two pm,
- 1:52Speaker 2: and that was awesome.
- 1:54Speaker 1: If you and Gifford text me beyond ten thirty at night,
- 1:58Speaker 1: which is fine if you do that, But if you
- 2:00Speaker 1: hear from me, something has gone wrong. Unless there's like
- 2:03Speaker 1: some big primetime NFL game that I'm watching, I'm just out.
- 2:07Speaker 1: I'm just not I'm not making it.
- 2:09Speaker 4: I fall asleep with Scott Vanpel every single night. Baby.
- 2:13Speaker 1: Oh all right, you and Scottie. Quick aside, before we
- 2:16Speaker 1: get to our guest. I signed up for a new gym.
- 2:19Speaker 1: My kid's back in school, so I'm able to get
- 2:21Speaker 1: back to a normal sort of routine I had. I
- 2:24Speaker 1: hadn't been to the gym in two months. I just said,
- 2:26Speaker 1: fuck it, I'm just I'll just ride my bike occasionally
- 2:30Speaker 1: just so I don't, you know, get chunky. But I'm
- 2:33Speaker 1: back and I'm going to a much more pretentious gym.
- 2:36Speaker 1: Maybe you can guess where my other gym was. It
- 2:39Speaker 1: was a judgment free zone. Yeah, okay, everybody that walks
- 2:45Speaker 1: into that place kind of looks like a werewolf. The
- 2:49Speaker 1: place I'm going to now much nicer, but a lot
- 2:52Speaker 1: more pretentious. Kendra, you seem like a fancy gym goer
- 2:56Speaker 1: to me, way too many tripods. What is going on
- 3:00Speaker 1: at these gym I haven't been to a nice gym
- 3:02Speaker 1: in years. I've just been going to like the hole
- 3:05Speaker 1: in the walls. These people are there filming like they're
- 3:09Speaker 1: Christopher Nolan. What are we doing? Why are people doing this?
- 3:14Speaker 2: That's that's what happens when you pay to use the
- 3:15Speaker 2: space like that, you know, like it just that's that
- 3:18Speaker 2: is what it is. But you have the right to
- 3:20Speaker 2: can to be like, hey, I don't consent to this.
- 3:23Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't want my I don't want my ass
- 3:25Speaker 1: sweat in your video.
- 3:26Speaker 2: But you've got flock cameras and metaglasses everywhere.
- 3:29Speaker 4: Anyway, So.
- 3:32Speaker 1: I don't like it. Can I sign up? I gotta
- 3:36Speaker 1: get out of this all right?
- 3:37Speaker 3: Coming up?
- 3:37Speaker 1: Pat Donovan WDAE in Tampa, part of the iHeart Family.
- 3:41Speaker 4: Check INT's coming out. We got to move on.
- 3:44Speaker 1: Yeah, Yeah, that's it. That's it for Kendrick today. Let's
- 3:47Speaker 1: talk football.
- 3:48Speaker 2: I literally feel like you just put like the safety
- 3:50Speaker 2: lock on the windows while I'm in the backseat of
- 3:52Speaker 2: the car.
- 3:54Speaker 1: Is that is my job as a host. Let's talk
- 3:56Speaker 1: about the highly intriguing and volatile NFC South. Pat Donovan,
- 4:01Speaker 1: one half of the Patent Aaron Show on ninety five
- 4:03Speaker 1: to seven WDAE and Tampa, one of my iHeartRadio brethren,
- 4:08Speaker 1: joins the show to break down the division. Pat, my friend,
- 4:11Speaker 1: how are you?
- 4:12Speaker 3: I'm well man, great to be with you.
- 4:13Speaker 1: So we got to vibe check the division. We do
- 4:15Speaker 1: this with all of the divisions that we check in on.
- 4:18Speaker 1: We're a couple in now, and I'm very curious to
- 4:22Speaker 1: see how this conversation goes because this is one that
- 4:25Speaker 1: I think if you were to ask one hundred NFL fans,
- 4:29Speaker 1: where does the NFC South rank for you? In terms
- 4:31Speaker 1: of general intrigue and fascination? You would get a wide
- 4:37Speaker 1: array of answers. So in terms of intrigue for you,
- 4:41Speaker 1: where does the NFC South rank? And the NFL hierarchy
- 4:44Speaker 1: of interesting conferences or interesting divisions?
- 4:48Speaker 5: I should say, I mean, as a box guy, right,
- 4:50Speaker 5: it's at the top.
- 4:51Speaker 3: But if I'm being objective, I think both South divisions
- 4:55Speaker 3: are maybe among the least intriguing in their conferences.
- 5:00Speaker 5: Right, I think if you look at both the AFC
- 5:02Speaker 5: and NFC South, the NFC South is interesting because Baker
- 5:06Speaker 5: makes it interesting. People love Baker, But overall it's a
- 5:10Speaker 5: division that doesn't have a ton of stars, doesn't have
- 5:12Speaker 5: a ton of star power, doesn't have a team that.
- 5:15Speaker 3: Really stands out as the best. Right.
- 5:17Speaker 5: I mean, I think that any of these teams could
- 5:20Speaker 5: potentially win the division just because the division's not very good.
- 5:23Speaker 1: Kendra, I know disagrees with that. Was this number one
- 5:27Speaker 1: for you on your intrigue hierarchy? Yeah?
- 5:31Speaker 4: Because it's just so dumb and stupid that I love
- 5:33Speaker 4: it so much.
- 5:34Speaker 1: This is a very drug. If we said which division
- 5:37Speaker 1: is the drunkest division. This is definitely the answer.
- 5:39Speaker 2: This is going to be the most not entertaining from
- 5:42Speaker 2: a high level football perspective, but from genuinely nobody has
- 5:47Speaker 2: any idea what's going to happen in this division, and
- 5:50Speaker 2: if you say you do, you're full of shit.
- 5:52Speaker 1: Which is ninety percent of the reason why I bet
- 5:54Speaker 1: the Falcons to win the division is because they just
- 5:57Speaker 1: have the longest odds. And if we don't know, give
- 6:00Speaker 1: me the longest odds.
- 6:02Speaker 3: Now.
- 6:02Speaker 1: I have other reasons, but that only makes up ten
- 6:05Speaker 1: percent of the bet. Ninety percent of it is who
- 6:08Speaker 1: the fuck knows, So let's just bet the team with
- 6:12Speaker 1: the longest odds. Pat Does any team in this division?
- 6:15Speaker 1: And we'll go team by team breakdown in a moment,
- 6:18Speaker 1: of course, starting with your Tampa Bay Buccaneers, which you cover.
- 6:21Speaker 1: Does any team in the division win ten games?
- 6:25Speaker 3: I think all of them could potentially.
- 6:28Speaker 5: I kind of doubt it, but if anybody's going to
- 6:30Speaker 5: I do think it's the Buccaneers. I think they should
- 6:33Speaker 5: be the favorite of the division, especially to some of
- 6:34Speaker 5: the injuries that have happened around the division already. But listen,
- 6:40Speaker 5: I think the Bucks are the best team in the division.
- 6:42Speaker 5: But I've also told anybody who will listen, after the
- 6:44Speaker 5: way last year ended, not just the losses, but the
- 6:48Speaker 5: style of the losses. We saw people jawing at each
- 6:51Speaker 5: other leaving the sidelines like it was not what we
- 6:54Speaker 5: expected from a chemistry standpoint. I think the Bucks are
- 6:57Speaker 5: the best in the division, but I also believe I
- 7:00Speaker 5: won't be shocked if things work out really well for
- 7:02Speaker 5: the Buccaneers and they turn out to be very good
- 7:05Speaker 5: and shocked a lot of people. I also won't be
- 7:08Speaker 5: shocked if it goes the wrong direction and they flat
- 7:11Speaker 5: out sock.
- 7:12Speaker 1: And I think this is part of the analysis from Kendra,
- 7:15Speaker 1: is that is there any result in this division that
- 7:20Speaker 1: we could use the word shock for? Is there anything
- 7:23Speaker 1: any order of finish for all four this division? By
- 7:27Speaker 1: the way, Bucks at plus one seventy to win the division,
- 7:30Speaker 1: Falcons at plus four hundred to win the division. That
- 7:33Speaker 1: is the shortest range of any division in football. So
- 7:36Speaker 1: it really depends on how you're defining intrigue. But that
- 7:39Speaker 1: is how we get there. Let's start with the Tampa
- 7:42Speaker 1: Bay Buccaneers as we deep dive every single team within
- 7:45Speaker 1: the NFC South. The Bucks lost two franchise legends and
- 7:49Speaker 1: Mike Evans and Lavonte David. They disrespected their starting quarterback
- 7:54Speaker 1: in Baker Mayfield with his contract offer that he did
- 7:58Speaker 1: not like. They received a train requests from their best
- 8:01Speaker 1: defensive player, Vita Vea, and yet they're still favored to
- 8:04Speaker 1: win the division, which perfectly describes the NFC South. By
- 8:07Speaker 1: the way, did I probably properly detail the issues here?
- 8:11Speaker 1: Did I leave any meat on the bone as far
- 8:13Speaker 1: as the problems for Tampa going into the season.
- 8:16Speaker 5: Yeah, I know those those are the ones, right, I
- 8:18Speaker 5: mean that, and just figuring out where everybody fits, especially
- 8:21Speaker 5: defensively where they're gonna have a lot of new faces.
- 8:24Speaker 5: But at the end of the day, I'm shocked at
- 8:27Speaker 5: the way things have gone with Baker and that it's
- 8:28Speaker 5: become so public and he's talked about how disappointed he
- 8:32Speaker 5: is and feeling disrespected, not necessarily shocked, where with where
- 8:35Speaker 5: vide Vea is because of his contract situation and the
- 8:40Speaker 5: fact that he's had this foot issue that even though
- 8:42Speaker 5: he hasn't missed a bunch of games, has bothered him
- 8:44Speaker 5: over the last couple of years. And as a guy
- 8:47Speaker 5: who even though I float around two forty now has
- 8:49Speaker 5: been over three hundred pounds at one point in my life.
- 8:53Speaker 5: Guys with feet problems are who are fat or large,
- 8:56Speaker 5: I should say, they don't necessarily get better, right, So
- 9:00Speaker 5: it's it's weird because I love Baker Mayfield and I
- 9:02Speaker 5: love Vitaveya, and I want to see them both get paid.
- 9:05Speaker 5: But at the same time, I totally understand why the
- 9:08Speaker 5: Bucks are reluctant to give either of them the bag.
- 9:11Speaker 4: I have a question for you. Are you more concerned?
- 9:13Speaker 2: I like that there's continuity on the offense outside of
- 9:17Speaker 2: Mike Evans. I know that Tristan Wurks is probably going
- 9:20Speaker 2: to start week one if I'm not mistaken, unless you
- 9:22Speaker 2: know something that I don't. On the defense to be ready, Yeah,
- 9:25Speaker 2: the defensive side of the ball. I like the addition
- 9:27Speaker 2: of Alexandzeloni Ruben Bain should be a difference maker from
- 9:30Speaker 2: day one. But if you look at the fact that
- 9:33Speaker 2: there is a little bit of, you know, disgruntled players
- 9:36Speaker 2: on the best player on the offense in Baker Mayfield
- 9:38Speaker 2: and Vidavea on the defense, who are you more concerned
- 9:41Speaker 2: about heading into kind of the thick of their schedule
- 9:45Speaker 2: that they're going to get you know, probably four or
- 9:47Speaker 2: five weeks in. Are you more concerned about the offense
- 9:49Speaker 2: or the defense long term?
- 9:52Speaker 5: I guess I'd say I'm more concerned about the defense.
- 9:54Speaker 5: When it comes to Baker and Vita, I think they
- 9:57Speaker 5: both end up well. We know Baker's not going anywhere.
- 9:59Speaker 5: He's already he's not holding in, he's not doing any
- 10:01Speaker 5: of that stuff. Vita has a quote unquote back issue
- 10:05Speaker 5: right now that we all know is not a back
- 10:07Speaker 5: issue right now. But when it comes down to it,
- 10:09Speaker 5: I don't think the Bucks trade Vita a I don't
- 10:12Speaker 5: think they can trade Veta.
- 10:13Speaker 4: They told him too bad, so I don't think that
- 10:14Speaker 4: they're going too.
- 10:15Speaker 5: Yeah, they also just slapped him up on the side
- 10:18Speaker 5: of the stadium, a big fifty foot tall of vitave like.
- 10:21Speaker 3: I don't think he's going anywhere.
- 10:23Speaker 5: When it comes to those two, I think that once
- 10:25Speaker 5: it's time for football, it's time for football. Those guys
- 10:28Speaker 5: love their teammates, they love to play. I don't expect
- 10:31Speaker 5: either of them to be an issue when it comes
- 10:33Speaker 5: to both sides of the ball as a whole. If
- 10:36Speaker 5: that offensive line is healthy, the offense should be very good.
- 10:38Speaker 5: Mike Evans are not defensively. As I mentioned a little
- 10:41Speaker 5: bit ago, there are so many new faces that you
- 10:44Speaker 5: just don't know how it's all going to work. I
- 10:46Speaker 5: think there's a decent chance it all works really well,
- 10:49Speaker 5: and they are much better defense than they were a
- 10:51Speaker 5: season ago. But there's also the chance that it doesn't
- 10:54Speaker 5: fit and there is discombobulated defensively, as they've been the
- 10:58Speaker 5: last couple of years. And if that's the case, it's
- 11:00Speaker 5: almost impossible for the offense to be good enough to
- 11:02Speaker 5: make up for it, for them to be real condenders.
- 11:05Speaker 1: The offensive line underperformed in a big way. I was
- 11:08Speaker 1: looking at some of the offensive line grades around the league.
- 11:11Speaker 1: They graded out twenty eighth in the NFL last season.
- 11:14Speaker 1: A lot of that injury related. How much better can
- 11:18Speaker 1: they be than that? Because I would think talent wise,
- 11:22Speaker 1: it swings in the complete opposite direction. This feels like
- 11:24Speaker 1: a top five offensive line of football to me.
- 11:28Speaker 5: And you know what, the end of twenty twenty four,
- 11:30Speaker 5: they were right. They were playing an elite brand of
- 11:32Speaker 5: football in the offensive line towards the end of that season.
- 11:35Speaker 5: I think if they weren't the best offensive line at
- 11:37Speaker 5: the end of twenty twenty four, they were right there
- 11:39Speaker 5: they were in the conversation, and if that offensive line
- 11:42Speaker 5: is playing that brand of football, that offense is going
- 11:45Speaker 5: to be very difficult to stop.
- 11:46Speaker 3: I agree with you. I think most of it was
- 11:48Speaker 3: on the injuries.
- 11:49Speaker 5: You know, when you lose the best what I think
- 11:52Speaker 5: is the best left tackle when he's right in football,
- 11:54Speaker 5: and then you start screwing around. I think where they
- 11:56Speaker 5: really fucked up, to be fair, was decign, hey, let's
- 12:00Speaker 5: take Graham Barton and kick him over the left tackle
- 12:03Speaker 5: from center, and now all of a sudden, they're moving
- 12:05Speaker 5: pieces all over the offensive line. There was zero continuity
- 12:08Speaker 5: on that offensive line last season, and I think it
- 12:11Speaker 5: really hurt them. But what was scary is at the
- 12:13Speaker 5: end of the year, as they got healthier, the offense
- 12:16Speaker 5: continued to get worse. I think a lot of that
- 12:19Speaker 5: is Josh Grizzard and a lot of piss poor play calling,
- 12:21Speaker 5: to be fair, but the offensive line wasn't playing the
- 12:24Speaker 5: brand of football they were at the end of twenty
- 12:25Speaker 5: twenty four either. If they get even halfway back to
- 12:28Speaker 5: the end of twenty twenty four, they'll be a good
- 12:30Speaker 5: offensive line. If they looked like they did late in
- 12:32Speaker 5: twenty twenty four, they'll be a great offensive line and
- 12:35Speaker 5: the offense will be really tough to stop.
- 12:38Speaker 2: I want to talk about a Mechaguka for a second.
- 12:40Speaker 2: The beginning of last year, he was in contention for
- 12:43Speaker 2: offensive Rookie of the Year for a minute and just
- 12:45Speaker 2: had an absolute fall off towards the end of the season. Yes,
- 12:48Speaker 2: he got hurt, but his production was not the same.
- 12:51Speaker 2: What do you think his role is going to look
- 12:53Speaker 2: like with obviously Mike Evans leading Baker kind of needing
- 12:56Speaker 2: him to fill a role rather quickly, and kind of
- 12:58Speaker 2: the uncertainty of where he left off less year.
- 13:01Speaker 5: I think he's your number two wide receiver after Chris
- 13:03Speaker 5: Godwin without question, And you're right right. It really looked
- 13:06Speaker 5: like he hit a rookie wall last season, and I
- 13:08Speaker 5: think that was part of it. Part of it also
- 13:10Speaker 5: was what I just mentioned, that the offense got healthier
- 13:13Speaker 5: and worse, and I just thought Josh Gizzard had a
- 13:16Speaker 5: really poor plan when it came to getting the ball
- 13:19Speaker 5: to his playmakers. I think we're gonna see them do
- 13:21Speaker 5: a better job of that under Zach Robinson. But to me,
- 13:23Speaker 5: a Mecha Buca is maybe a notch and just a
- 13:27Speaker 5: notch below Chris Godwin when it comes to ability and talent,
- 13:30Speaker 5: especially at this stage in Chris Godwin's career. I've been saying, though,
- 13:34Speaker 5: I won't be surprised if we see on some sundays
- 13:38Speaker 5: Chris looked like the best wide receiver on the team.
- 13:40Speaker 5: Other sundays a Mecha Buca looked like the best wide
- 13:43Speaker 5: receiver on the team. And even at times I think
- 13:45Speaker 5: Jalen McMillan will look like the best wide receiver on
- 13:48Speaker 5: the team. And that's why I still really love this group.
- 13:50Speaker 5: That and what tes Johnson can do sneakily for this
- 13:54Speaker 5: football team, and Ted Hurst has really been flashing in
- 13:56Speaker 5: training camp. I really liked that room, even though they
- 13:59Speaker 5: lost the greatest offensive player in the team's history.
- 14:03Speaker 2: Kind Of a similar situation to make Baker Mayfield. Last year,
- 14:06Speaker 2: there was a point where the first seven eight weeks
- 14:09Speaker 2: of the season we talk about luck rankings a lot
- 14:11Speaker 2: on our show, where they were the luckiest team. He
- 14:14Speaker 2: was really clutch at the end of games, but also
- 14:16Speaker 2: kind of had a little bit of a fallof heading
- 14:18Speaker 2: into this season. We know he's the type of guy
- 14:21Speaker 2: when people doubt him, he performs really well. Do you
- 14:24Speaker 2: think that it was more so just an injury we
- 14:27Speaker 2: didn't know about, or just some continuity with the team
- 14:30Speaker 2: kind of crashing with injuries at the end of the year.
- 14:33Speaker 2: Do you think that he was more affected by the
- 14:34Speaker 2: exit of Liam Cohen? What do you think that that
- 14:37Speaker 2: was like for Baker last year.
- 14:38Speaker 5: I'll be honest with you. I think the answers yes, right.
- 14:41Speaker 5: I think the answers yes to just about all of
- 14:43Speaker 5: those things, you know what I mean. I think it
- 14:44Speaker 5: all kind of piled up. The injuries certainly did not
- 14:47Speaker 5: help Baker Mayfield. But as much as I love Baker
- 14:50Speaker 5: the man as a human being, he concerns me as
- 14:54Speaker 5: a quarterback. I think there's a lot he leaves on
- 14:56Speaker 5: the field. I think he's too risky, especially with his body,
- 14:59Speaker 5: and eventually you take enough of a beating and he
- 15:01Speaker 5: starts to look like Baker did at the end of
- 15:03Speaker 5: last season. He's too risky. It's why I wouldn't give
- 15:06Speaker 5: him the contract he wants right now. I totally understand
- 15:09Speaker 5: why the Buccaneers are making him wait. The reality is,
- 15:12Speaker 5: two out of three years, Baker's been good but not great.
- 15:15Speaker 5: The other year in twenty twenty four, he was great.
- 15:17Speaker 5: He was damn near elite. But the other two, the
- 15:20Speaker 5: other two years, that wasn't the case. So if we
- 15:23Speaker 5: get to the end of this season and all of
- 15:24Speaker 5: a sudden, it's three out of four years you were
- 15:26Speaker 5: good but not great, how much do I want to
- 15:29Speaker 5: pay you? And for how long do I want to
- 15:30Speaker 5: pay you? Especially if you continue to put your body
- 15:33Speaker 5: at risk and show that you can't stay on the
- 15:35Speaker 5: football field or stay the same player for the entirety
- 15:37Speaker 5: of the season. You start paying a guy like that
- 15:40Speaker 5: fifty five plus million dollars and then he can't stay
- 15:43Speaker 5: on the football field and you find yourself in a
- 15:45Speaker 5: lot of trouble.
- 15:46Speaker 3: So I get where the bucks are at.
- 15:47Speaker 5: But I think all of those things led into the
- 15:50Speaker 5: way that last season ended poorly for Baker, because it's
- 15:54Speaker 5: not any one thing, but it's definitely all those things
- 15:57Speaker 5: in my opinion.
- 15:58Speaker 1: And it should be mentioned like they didn't offer him
- 16:01Speaker 1: a contract, They just didn't offer him a contract that
- 16:03Speaker 1: he liked. Yeah, they offered him fifty million dollars. That
- 16:06Speaker 1: fifty million dollar mark you're talking about, they offered that
- 16:09Speaker 1: to him, but it was only for two years. And
- 16:11Speaker 1: I totally get I get it too, because if you're
- 16:15Speaker 1: the bucks. That's you want to tell yourself just because
- 16:19Speaker 1: he's a quarterback in the NFL. He kind of is,
- 16:22Speaker 1: but like, I don't want to tie myself to that
- 16:24Speaker 1: long term with this guy. Acts like I just watched
- 16:26Speaker 1: the season finale of House of Dragon. I'm not going
- 16:28Speaker 1: to spoil anything out there, but they're.
- 16:30Speaker 3: No good the rest of the season. I don't know,
- 16:32Speaker 3: but the finale was great.
- 16:34Speaker 1: They took way too long to build to it. But
- 16:35Speaker 1: there's this Viking dude from the north at the end
- 16:39Speaker 1: that is just ready to go into battle and die
- 16:42Speaker 1: for everybody around him. That feels like Baker Mayfield and like,
- 16:45Speaker 1: how do you not want to play with that guy?
- 16:47Speaker 1: But he also you know, it doesn't end well. Okay,
- 16:52Speaker 1: so it doesn't end well for him Hot Bowls.
- 16:56Speaker 5: I I kind of remember how it ended for him
- 16:59Speaker 5: for some I just watched it last night too, and
- 17:00Speaker 5: I don't remember.
- 17:02Speaker 1: Like I'm a hold off. We'll talk about it offline.
- 17:06Speaker 1: Todd Bowles does he survive this season? It feels like
- 17:09Speaker 1: a lame duck coach right now.
- 17:11Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 17:13Speaker 5: It's interesting because they really like Todd in the building
- 17:15Speaker 5: and there's a lot more belief inside one Buck place
- 17:18Speaker 5: than there is outside in Tampa Bay.
- 17:20Speaker 3: When it comes to.
- 17:21Speaker 5: Todd Bowles, I love Todd. I just I think it
- 17:26Speaker 5: has to work well this year, and it doesn't mean
- 17:28Speaker 5: they have to even win a playoff game. They could
- 17:30Speaker 5: get in the playoffs, and if the playoff game looked
- 17:32Speaker 5: good and felt good, like a couple of years ago,
- 17:35Speaker 5: they just get destroyed in the first round of the
- 17:36Speaker 5: playoffs at home. If that happens again, I don't know
- 17:38Speaker 5: that he survives it. But it's all about, I think,
- 17:41Speaker 5: the full direction of the team, because I think right now,
- 17:44Speaker 5: like I said earlier, they could go any number of ways,
- 17:47Speaker 5: and if it goes the right way enough, I wouldn't
- 17:51Speaker 5: be shocked if they kept him, because they do love
- 17:52Speaker 5: Todd Bowles. But I think it's got to feel like
- 17:56Speaker 5: they're heading somewhere. In the last four years, it's just
- 17:59Speaker 5: kind of been like, well, they're good enough to win
- 18:00Speaker 5: the division because the division sucks, and then last year
- 18:03Speaker 5: it didn't even happen.
- 18:05Speaker 1: Yeah, that's that's the problem. It's like the division still stinks,
- 18:08Speaker 1: you gotta win it when and they're favored to do
- 18:12Speaker 1: so this year, All right, let's go around the horn
- 18:14Speaker 1: and We'll move on to the other teams inside of
- 18:16Speaker 1: the division. Best way to bet the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
- 18:21Speaker 1: I'm out on the Bucks this year. I'll say it's
- 18:24Speaker 1: under their win total, under eight and a half wins
- 18:27Speaker 1: for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. I've already placed it in
- 18:29Speaker 1: the app.
- 18:29Speaker 4: Kendra, I would say the same.
- 18:31Speaker 2: Haven't placed it because I have a bet somewhere else
- 18:33Speaker 2: in this division.
- 18:34Speaker 4: But I agree with you.
- 18:36Speaker 2: I love Baker, especially after watching him on the Quarterback
- 18:40Speaker 2: documentary on Netflix this year, I found a new love
- 18:43Speaker 2: for him. But this team is I talk about teams
- 18:46Speaker 2: often that have like the perfect amount of young talent
- 18:50Speaker 2: and guys who are kind of on their last leg
- 18:52Speaker 2: as leaders in the league, and this on paper seems
- 18:55Speaker 2: like it would be a good mix of the two.
- 18:57Speaker 4: But it just seems like a disaster waiting to have.
- 19:00Speaker 1: Yeah, vibes are off, Pat, What would you say on
- 19:03Speaker 1: the Bucks? How how would you lay your dollars?
- 19:07Speaker 4: Yeahs I can tell.
- 19:10Speaker 5: Well, No, It's it's so weird because, like I said,
- 19:12Speaker 5: I could see this going either way, but we all
- 19:14Speaker 5: believed so much last year.
- 19:16Speaker 3: I think a lot of us anyways, and I did.
- 19:17Speaker 3: I thought the Bucks.
- 19:18Speaker 5: Going into the season, We're going to win eleven games
- 19:20Speaker 5: or twelve games and be a Super Bowl contender. And
- 19:23Speaker 5: boy did it look like that way early on, and
- 19:25Speaker 5: then they just shit the bed. I would bet, if
- 19:29Speaker 5: I had to bet, I would bet the over. I
- 19:31Speaker 5: just have a sneaky, a sneaky feeling that this defense
- 19:35Speaker 5: is going The defense doesn't have to be great here,
- 19:37Speaker 5: because the offense is going to be good, if the
- 19:39Speaker 5: offensive line stays healthy, if the defense could just fucking
- 19:42Speaker 5: play adequately for the first time and almost forever, just
- 19:45Speaker 5: be adequate, just be adequate, and you know what, they
- 19:48Speaker 5: finally get some depth at outside linebacker. I like the
- 19:50Speaker 5: moves they made it inside linebacker. I think they're good
- 19:53Speaker 5: enough defensively, not top five defense, probably not even a
- 19:57Speaker 5: top ten defense, but good enough to compliment an AWE.
- 20:00Speaker 5: But I think is going to be dangerous. If I
- 20:03Speaker 5: had to bet, i'd take the over. But like I said,
- 20:05Speaker 5: I won't be shocked if they shit the bet either.
- 20:08Speaker 1: And if they do plus four to twenty five to
- 20:11Speaker 1: finish last, you can bet that on DraftKings if you
- 20:13Speaker 1: want to find that market as well. Let's switch over
- 20:15Speaker 1: to the Sad Cats. The Carolina Panthers snuck into the
- 20:18Speaker 1: NFL postseason.
- 20:19Speaker 4: Last year, Delang talking about your Falcons.
- 20:22Speaker 1: No, it's not delaying. I'm saving the best for last,
- 20:24Speaker 1: is what I'm doing, Kendra. They got into the playoffs
- 20:29Speaker 1: with a record of eight and nine. They'd lost three
- 20:31Speaker 1: of their final four games and still made it into
- 20:33Speaker 1: the playoffs, and then they pushed the Rams to the brink.
- 20:36Speaker 1: That was a great cover by the podcast. By the way,
- 20:39Speaker 1: lost in the wild card round by three, but that
- 20:42Speaker 1: created some expectations for this team. I think a lot
- 20:44Speaker 1: of folks are higher on Carolina at this point in
- 20:47Speaker 1: the offseason than they were at this point in the
- 20:49Speaker 1: offseason last year. Pat Could they have the best defense
- 20:52Speaker 1: in the division and is that enough to carry them
- 20:56Speaker 1: potentially to a division crown.
- 20:58Speaker 5: I think they could have the defense in the division
- 21:01Speaker 5: unless some other teams play really good offensively and or
- 21:05Speaker 5: the Bucks actually find a way to play defense this year.
- 21:08Speaker 5: I do think it could be enough. I like I said,
- 21:10Speaker 5: I like the Bucks better than Carolina this year. Carolina
- 21:13Speaker 5: is already starting to deal with some major injuries out
- 21:15Speaker 5: of training camp, which is bad news for them, but
- 21:18Speaker 5: I do really like their defense a lot. Although I
- 21:20Speaker 5: think Ashawn Robinson heading over here to Tampa Bay is helpful, right,
- 21:25Speaker 5: But I like their offseason a lot before the injuries
- 21:29Speaker 5: started during training camp. I think they did it as
- 21:31Speaker 5: good of a job as anybody this offseason. So I'm
- 21:35Speaker 5: just I'm curious how you hear three works for Dave Canalis?
- 21:39Speaker 5: Did did other teams find something that's going to find
- 21:42Speaker 5: a way to like kind of make them take a
- 21:45Speaker 5: step backwards instead of a step forward which it looks
- 21:47Speaker 5: like they're ready to take.
- 21:49Speaker 3: I'm not one hundred percent sure.
- 21:51Speaker 2: How confident are you in the quarterback play this season?
- 21:55Speaker 4: Is there any volatility to it whatsoever?
- 21:58Speaker 1: That's in Carolina the biggest quest for this football team.
- 22:01Speaker 4: I mean, look, Bryce Young earned his keep last year.
- 22:04Speaker 4: Don't get me wrong, Kenny Pickett. I'm not worried about it.
- 22:07Speaker 4: And am I going to overreact to a Hall of
- 22:10Speaker 4: Fame game that was absolutely electric? Yes?
- 22:13Speaker 2: If Haines King looks like that and Bryce Young stumbles whatsoever?
- 22:18Speaker 2: Is there a question to be had here? Did Bryce
- 22:21Speaker 2: Young truly earn his keep last year? Because I know
- 22:24Speaker 2: that you might not be a podcast listener, I was
- 22:26Speaker 2: the Panther's biggest fan last year had them winning the
- 22:28Speaker 2: division going into the preseason, had there over on the season.
- 22:32Speaker 2: But I think that the best thing that ever happened
- 22:35Speaker 2: to Bryce Young was getting benched for a minute. And
- 22:37Speaker 2: I just don't know based off of not knowing who
- 22:40Speaker 2: he is as a professional, because of the black and
- 22:43Speaker 2: white that he's shown us, how promising and how much
- 22:46Speaker 2: I believe in him as much as I want to
- 22:49Speaker 2: for the entirety of a season.
- 22:51Speaker 5: Yeah, he hasn't proven it yet, right, And there's a
- 22:53Speaker 5: lot of guys in that boat there. There's a handful
- 22:55Speaker 5: of great quarterbacks in this league, and then there's kind
- 22:57Speaker 5: of everybody else. And he certainly hasn't shown that he's
- 23:00Speaker 5: a great quarter I've said the entirety of my career.
- 23:03Speaker 5: In my opinion, you're one of two teams in the NFL.
- 23:06Speaker 5: You're a team with a star quarterback, or you're a
- 23:08Speaker 5: team looking for a star quarterback. And I think there's
- 23:11Speaker 5: no question that Carolina is still the team looking for
- 23:13Speaker 5: a star quarterback.
- 23:14Speaker 3: I like some of what we saw from Bryce Young
- 23:16Speaker 3: last year. I think it would have to be really bad.
- 23:19Speaker 5: They'd have to almost fall out a playoff contention for
- 23:22Speaker 5: them to completely give up on him again, because I
- 23:26Speaker 5: think you could do what you did with Bryce Young
- 23:29Speaker 5: before now as far as benching him for a veteran quarterback.
- 23:33Speaker 3: But you don't really have that guy now anyways.
- 23:36Speaker 5: And I don't know how many times you can give
- 23:38Speaker 5: up on a young quarterback before you've just given up
- 23:41Speaker 5: on that young quarterback.
- 23:43Speaker 2: What are your thoughts on Rico Dowdell's exit from this offense?
- 23:47Speaker 2: Chuba Hubbard looked like the guy in the twenty twenty
- 23:50Speaker 2: four season. I believe it was their London gamer. He
- 23:52Speaker 2: had that breakout game, tons of yards, a couple of touchdowns,
- 23:55Speaker 2: looked really promising, and then out of nowhere, rigo'dowdell just
- 23:59Speaker 2: has an insane season last year. Are you what are
- 24:02Speaker 2: your thoughts on Chewba Hubbard being able to step back
- 24:04Speaker 2: into that role after kind of a surprise to all
- 24:07Speaker 2: of us last season.
- 24:09Speaker 5: Yeah, I was shocked at how well Rico played last year,
- 24:11Speaker 5: and I do I am a Chewba Hubbard guy.
- 24:14Speaker 3: I'll be honest with you.
- 24:16Speaker 5: I've said for a long time Emmitt Smith was not
- 24:18Speaker 5: the greatest running back in the history of the NFL.
- 24:20Speaker 3: Even though he has the most yardage.
- 24:21Speaker 5: He just happened to play behind the best offensive line
- 24:23Speaker 5: in the NFL. I don't want to say running back
- 24:25Speaker 5: through a dime. It does, and I don't want to
- 24:27Speaker 5: disrespect people. But for the most part, if you're not
- 24:30Speaker 5: Bejon Robinson, if you're not you know one of a
- 24:33Speaker 5: couple of guys in this league, you know, Jamiir Gibbs,
- 24:36Speaker 5: there's like outside of that. To me, it's all about
- 24:39Speaker 5: the horses up front. Maybe it's because I'm fat, but
- 24:42Speaker 5: I think it's about offensive line play. And if you
- 24:44Speaker 5: get great offensive line play, you're gonna get good things
- 24:47Speaker 5: out of your run. And there's a lot of guys
- 24:49Speaker 5: that can run the football well for you if you
- 24:51Speaker 5: block for them, and I think both those guys kind
- 24:53Speaker 5: of fall in that category.
- 24:55Speaker 1: Let's let's talk about the uh the offensive line. Well,
- 25:01Speaker 1: you touched on it right there. If they are able
- 25:03Speaker 1: to get those sort of improvements, then we could be
- 25:05Speaker 1: looking at a different offense for them. The problem is
- 25:08Speaker 1: pat they're already dealing with injuries to both tackles on
- 25:12Speaker 1: their offensive line. Robert Hunt, their big mauling guard, hasn't
- 25:16Speaker 1: made his way back yet. We already got bad news
- 25:18Speaker 1: on the defense with Nick Gorton. But it feels like
- 25:21Speaker 1: because of the O line, because of the injury they
- 25:23Speaker 1: already sustained to a key linebacker position. They may have
- 25:26Speaker 1: overpaid Devin Lloyd. We I mean absolutely not.
- 25:30Speaker 4: Don't even start with me. That was the cheapest deal
- 25:33Speaker 4: they were.
- 25:33Speaker 2: Going to get him on and I'll never forget the
- 25:35Speaker 2: Jaguars for not signing him for that amount of money.
- 25:37Speaker 4: I don't care how much dead cap they had from Trumpull.
- 25:40Speaker 1: They let that man walk for a reason. I'll just
- 25:42Speaker 1: say that now. I mean, that's not my opinion, but
- 25:44Speaker 1: that's theirs, because they if they wanted him that bad,
- 25:47Speaker 1: they would have kept him. But I'm a little there's
- 25:50Speaker 1: just a lot of volatility with the Panthers. I think
- 25:52Speaker 1: of all these teams, I could see I could make
- 25:55Speaker 1: a case for them being the best and the worst.
- 25:57Speaker 1: I think I could do it better with Carolina than
- 25:59Speaker 1: an Do you see that sort of volatility in them
- 26:03Speaker 1: or do you think that there's some stability in what
- 26:05Speaker 1: Carolina is going to be this year?
- 26:06Speaker 3: No, I totally agree with you.
- 26:07Speaker 5: It feels early on a little bit like last year
- 26:10Speaker 5: for the Buccaneers, like, wait, who's down now? And there's
- 26:14Speaker 5: only so long you can sustain that, you know before
- 26:17Speaker 5: it starts to really impact your team in the box,
- 26:20Speaker 5: a much more veteran group a year ago, and you
- 26:22Speaker 5: saw how the injuries impacted them.
- 26:24Speaker 3: So no doubt about it. I think Carolina could be
- 26:27Speaker 3: in trouble.
- 26:28Speaker 1: So Bryce Young last year is to go back to
- 26:31Speaker 1: the quarterback position, set career highs in completion percentage, passing yards,
- 26:36Speaker 1: yards per attempt, and passing touchdowns and touchdown to interception ratio,
- 26:41Speaker 1: still ranking towards the bottom of the league in all
- 26:44Speaker 1: of those stats. So this is the weird thing, Pat,
- 26:47Speaker 1: is that this is the analysis that Carolina walks into
- 26:49Speaker 1: the season with. You're talking about an ascending player. He
- 26:53Speaker 1: was significantly better last year than at any other point
- 26:55Speaker 1: in his career. Yeah, he's still He did our top
- 26:58Speaker 1: twenty list and I don't Well, he cracked it for Kendrick,
- 27:03Speaker 1: but Kendra also left Justin Herbert off the list, so technically,
- 27:05Speaker 1: Bryce Young one.
- 27:08Speaker 4: I forget about him. Sometimes he's just a vanilla white boy.
- 27:11Speaker 3: Listen. I thought I was the only one accidental.
- 27:14Speaker 1: Okay, she does think it was accident.
- 27:17Speaker 4: It was accidental. I did it was it was a
- 27:20Speaker 4: whole thing. It was a whole thing. He's just He.
- 27:24Speaker 3: Belongs in the top twenty without question.
- 27:26Speaker 4: Oh he belongs in the top ten.
- 27:27Speaker 3: But he's very overrated.
- 27:29Speaker 4: Agree, And he's just a guy.
- 27:32Speaker 3: Nobody's gotten more credit for having pretty hair than Justin Herbert.
- 27:35Speaker 4: Thank you. Oh my god.
- 27:37Speaker 1: This is why he's getting it brushed during practice by
- 27:40Speaker 1: his lovely fiance.
- 27:42Speaker 2: Okay, but you know what you get out of jail
- 27:44Speaker 2: free card for that one.
- 27:45Speaker 4: She is I'm no better than a man.
- 27:49Speaker 1: We all understand it. We all understand it. But uh,
- 27:53Speaker 1: Bryce Young not top twenty, and I think they're going
- 27:55Speaker 1: to need him to crack into that. I saw glimpses
- 27:58Speaker 1: of it. The weird thing with Bryce too, is that
- 28:00Speaker 1: in some of the biggest games last year, I thought
- 28:02Speaker 1: he looked great. I thought he looked great in the playoffs,
- 28:04Speaker 1: he looked great against the Rams in the regular season.
- 28:07Speaker 1: And then you know, he's got games where he struggles
- 28:10Speaker 1: to get above a buck fifty passing And this isn't
- 28:13Speaker 1: you know, this isn't a fantasy podcast. But yeah, if
- 28:16Speaker 1: you struggle to get the two hundred yards passing, chances
- 28:19Speaker 1: are that's on you and not everybody else here.
- 28:21Speaker 5: I's not right the stats across the board not very good,
- 28:24Speaker 5: but in big moments and late in games, which I
- 28:27Speaker 5: guess is big moments as well. But in big moments
- 28:30Speaker 5: he showed up the best last year. And I think
- 28:32Speaker 5: that's why if I'm a Panthers fan, which I'm not,
- 28:34Speaker 5: but if I'm a Panthers fan, that's what I'm holding
- 28:36Speaker 5: on to, is like We've got this step where he
- 28:39Speaker 5: looks good in big moments. Now we just need the
- 28:41Speaker 5: whole offense to come together. If I'm a Brice Young believer,
- 28:44Speaker 5: I'm not sure I'm quite there, but I think there's
- 28:46Speaker 5: some things you can point to and say, if other
- 28:49Speaker 5: things work out a little bit better, he can be enough.
- 28:51Speaker 5: I don't know if I'm there, but if I'm a
- 28:53Speaker 5: Panthers fan, I'm certainly trying to convince myself.
- 28:56Speaker 2: Final question for me, does Xavier Lagette suck? Or does
- 29:00Speaker 2: you just need a change of scenery?
- 29:06Speaker 5: You know what, I think he could need a change
- 29:08Speaker 5: of scenery. It's listen, it's tough when you don't get
- 29:10Speaker 5: very good quarterback play right, and and some wide receivers.
- 29:13Speaker 4: I don't know. I wouldn't I wouldn't blame his issues
- 29:15Speaker 4: on that. I gotta be real.
- 29:16Speaker 5: Well, listen, and what I was going to say is like,
- 29:18Speaker 5: you've got to be a professional, and you've got to
- 29:20Speaker 5: be a guy that remains engaged when things aren't coming
- 29:23Speaker 5: your way and when things aren't going well with your
- 29:26Speaker 5: quarterback or the offense in general.
- 29:28Speaker 3: And that's where I wonder about him, is is he
- 29:31Speaker 3: that guy?
- 29:33Speaker 1: Yeah? I have a hard time blaming guys when we
- 29:37Speaker 1: judge them off of their price in a draft judge,
- 29:41Speaker 1: we judge them off of the capitol used to draft them.
- 29:44Speaker 1: The safe you're leget was never a first round pick.
- 29:48Speaker 1: We're judging him off of being a first round pick.
- 29:51Speaker 1: He never should have been one. It's like the criticism
- 29:54Speaker 1: I hear about Anthony Richardson. Anthony Richardson never should have
- 29:57Speaker 1: been a top five pick in the NFL draft, but
- 29:59Speaker 1: we judge him off of that.
- 30:01Speaker 5: That's where I'll separate from you just a little bit,
- 30:03Speaker 5: because whenever a quarterback puts up his hand, that's that's
- 30:08Speaker 5: enough for me, Like, wait, you want to come up.
- 30:10Speaker 1: I would have been that would have been bad no
- 30:12Speaker 1: matter he was. He sucked before that, he would have
- 30:15Speaker 1: you know, he judged him for that, no matter where
- 30:17Speaker 1: he was drifted.
- 30:18Speaker 4: Not to get off topic here, but.
- 30:22Speaker 2: And has really scared the ship out of me as
- 30:26Speaker 2: a gym girl, because now I am terrified to break
- 30:29Speaker 2: my orbital bone with one of the like bands. It
- 30:33Speaker 2: is a fear that I I I think I see
- 30:35Speaker 2: my life flashed before my eyes every time I look
- 30:37Speaker 2: at one of those.
- 30:38Speaker 4: Now, could you that had to hurt?
- 30:40Speaker 1: Now?
- 30:40Speaker 4: He has like temporary blindness even now.
- 30:42Speaker 2: I was listening to a podcast about that this morning,
- 30:44Speaker 2: New Fear Unlocked.
- 30:46Speaker 4: Actually, I'm going to add it to my list of
- 30:47Speaker 4: fears right now.
- 30:48Speaker 1: Okay, that's weird that you have a list going on
- 30:50Speaker 1: your phone for that.
- 30:51Speaker 2: But that.
- 30:54Speaker 1: Hurt, Yeah, that's right, you know, And and you'll have
- 30:57Speaker 1: great eyesight for the rest of your life because of it.
- 31:00Speaker 1: Best way to bet the Carolina Panthers in twenty twenty six, guys,
- 31:04Speaker 1: I'm just gonna roll back what worked for us. Kendra
- 31:07Speaker 1: sold us properly on the Panthers last year. I bought
- 31:10Speaker 1: in and they made me money. I got the end
- 31:14Speaker 1: of the year wrapped how your year in betting went
- 31:18Speaker 1: from the Action Network app, and the Carolina Panthers made
- 31:21Speaker 1: me more money than any other team in the NFL.
- 31:24Speaker 1: Way better than the Spotify rapped by the way, So
- 31:27Speaker 1: thank you Kendra for walking me into that. I'm just
- 31:29Speaker 1: gonna continue where we left off Panthers week one plus
- 31:31Speaker 1: two and a half against the Bears. So that's that's
- 31:34Speaker 1: how because I have no idea what this team is
- 31:36Speaker 1: gonna do this year, So I'll just bet them week
- 31:38Speaker 1: one and we'll just kind of roll from there. Pat,
- 31:41Speaker 1: how would you look at laying your dollars on Carolina?
- 31:44Speaker 1: Where are you the most confident in them?
- 31:47Speaker 5: I might take the under. I might take the under
- 31:50Speaker 5: on wins, just because again, it just feels like last
- 31:53Speaker 5: year for the Buccaneers, where they're just they're they're falling
- 31:56Speaker 5: into injuries and I don't know if this team has
- 31:59Speaker 5: enough to withstand it. I mean the Bucks didn't, and
- 32:01Speaker 5: I think they are a more talented group.
- 32:05Speaker 1: Yeah, they're over unders, sitting at seven and a half.
- 32:07Speaker 1: What about you, Kendre? Are you back in it? Sounds
- 32:09Speaker 1: like you might be out on your.
- 32:10Speaker 4: Sund I'm feeding the sad cats.
- 32:12Speaker 2: If I'm gonna bet this team at all, it's gonna
- 32:14Speaker 2: probably be some weekly props.
- 32:16Speaker 1: Yeah, feel in touchdowns. Let's move to the Saints New
- 32:20Speaker 1: Orleans might be the only team in the division that
- 32:23Speaker 1: isn't picking up bad press with trade requests injuries.
- 32:28Speaker 3: If I was not already.
- 32:29Speaker 1: Pot committed to the Falcons, this would be my team
- 32:32Speaker 1: right now. Good defense and offense that showed signs last year.
- 32:36Speaker 1: They added Trevor Travis Eatn. Actually, I'm gonna need until
- 32:43Speaker 1: like week six to do that. Jordan Tyson, I really
- 32:46Speaker 1: like him out of the draft. If he can get
- 32:47Speaker 1: that Hammy situation straightened out, I'm intrigued. Pat is this
- 32:51Speaker 1: the most talented team top to bottom if we're judging
- 32:54Speaker 1: both offensive quality and defensive quality, I think the Saints
- 32:59Speaker 1: have a case to be the most talented team in
- 33:01Speaker 1: the NFC South.
- 33:02Speaker 3: I think it's the Bucks.
- 33:03Speaker 5: But I might be a little bit biased, but I
- 33:05Speaker 5: really like what New Orleans has done the last couple
- 33:07Speaker 5: of years, especially when you consider the cap hell that
- 33:10Speaker 5: they've been in to figure it out. And what's interesting is,
- 33:14Speaker 5: you know a lot of people think Atlanta is going
- 33:16Speaker 5: to be better than New Orleans this year. A lot
- 33:17Speaker 5: of people think Atlanta might win the division. It might
- 33:20Speaker 5: sound crazy, but there's a lot more stability at the
- 33:24Speaker 5: quarterback position in New Orleans. With Tyler Shuck than there
- 33:28Speaker 5: is an Atlanta with Is it to a tongue of Ioloa?
- 33:32Speaker 3: I just I don't know.
- 33:34Speaker 5: It's it's very interesting, Like I almost forgot Michael Penix's
- 33:38Speaker 5: name for a second there. He's going to bring that
- 33:40Speaker 5: big Penix energy, but is he going to be on
- 33:43Speaker 5: the football field. I I love Michael Pennix as a
- 33:46Speaker 5: guy that I've met here locally, is a Tampa Bay guy,
- 33:49Speaker 5: and I just I'm a fan of his talent, But
- 33:52Speaker 5: I just wonder is he ever going to be on
- 33:54Speaker 5: the football field?
- 33:56Speaker 4: Oh?
- 33:56Speaker 2: Man, I you can't hurt my feelings about this. I
- 34:00Speaker 2: got in on there over when it came out at
- 34:02Speaker 2: the beginning of the year.
- 34:04Speaker 4: What are your thoughts on Tyler Shuck.
- 34:06Speaker 2: Obviously didn't start the season last year, there was some
- 34:09Speaker 2: confusion over who would be their starter, played half the season,
- 34:12Speaker 2: and was still in it at the end for Offensive
- 34:14Speaker 2: Rookie of the Year.
- 34:15Speaker 4: Do you think it was just one of these situations.
- 34:18Speaker 2: We see often where a rookie who's older has played
- 34:21Speaker 2: a lot of football comes in and the game has
- 34:23Speaker 2: maybe just slown down enough for them to make an impact.
- 34:27Speaker 4: Or do you really believe in him in the long term.
- 34:29Speaker 5: It's funny because I just mentioned a lot more stability
- 34:32Speaker 5: with Tyler Shuck than I see in Atlanta right now
- 34:35Speaker 5: with what's going on there. But at the same time,
- 34:36Speaker 5: I think it would be naive. Right now, I'd be like,
- 34:39Speaker 5: franchise quarterback. The guy's shown me everything I need to see.
- 34:42Speaker 5: Absolutely not a lot of young players flash early in
- 34:46Speaker 5: their career and people find one or two things they
- 34:48Speaker 5: don't do well and exploit that and completely change the
- 34:51Speaker 5: trajectory of that guy's career. So I'm not sold that
- 34:54Speaker 5: he's a franchise guy and he's one of the best
- 34:57Speaker 5: quarterbacks in the NFC or anything like that.
- 35:00Speaker 3: But I like what we saw from him last year.
- 35:01Speaker 5: I like his poise, and I think he's got a
- 35:04Speaker 5: good chance to be a good quarterback in this league.
- 35:06Speaker 5: I've always said I think we give up on quarterbacks
- 35:09Speaker 5: and coaches way too fast in the NFL. I think
- 35:11Speaker 5: if they're patient with Tyler Shock, they might have their guy.
- 35:14Speaker 1: You know, what's talking about calling him a young guy
- 35:17Speaker 1: is that he's the exact same age as Trevor Lawrence.
- 35:20Speaker 1: Is that weird?
- 35:20Speaker 5: I would call listen, I'm forty eight, Brandon, all right,
- 35:24Speaker 5: I'm forty eight, I get a very gray beard.
- 35:26Speaker 3: I called I called Trevor Lawrence a young guy as well.
- 35:29Speaker 1: Okay, all right, I Shuck is already a pro.
- 35:34Speaker 4: I have a question about Chris o'lave.
- 35:36Speaker 2: Obviously big payday, but one concussion away from maybe in
- 35:41Speaker 2: early retirement.
- 35:42Speaker 4: What are your thoughts on him getting paid?
- 35:45Speaker 2: This offense for me makes a lot more sense on
- 35:47Speaker 2: paper now with the addition of Travis E Travis eight chan.
- 35:51Speaker 1: Because I think we need no, we need it, we
- 35:53Speaker 1: need community agreement. We can't have me and you calling
- 35:55Speaker 1: him a different name on this podcast. I have devon
- 35:59Speaker 1: a Chan and I can't. I can't do this. I'm sorry.
- 36:03Speaker 1: You can't hit me with a different name midway through
- 36:05Speaker 1: your career.
- 36:05Speaker 4: It's talk about I don't want to talk about my
- 36:08Speaker 4: question now.
- 36:09Speaker 2: I'm gonna I'm gonna pivot this because this is this
- 36:12Speaker 2: is on brand for us. Pat Do you think are
- 36:15Speaker 2: you going to call him ETN or a Chan? Because
- 36:18Speaker 2: I'm very much in the camp and I've said this
- 36:20Speaker 2: so many times when Jacorey Krofsky Merrit came out last
- 36:22Speaker 2: year and.
- 36:23Speaker 4: Was like call me Bill, all right, you're a rookie.
- 36:25Speaker 4: You want to go buy a bill. You told me
- 36:27Speaker 4: early on. I can get used to it.
- 36:28Speaker 3: Now.
- 36:29Speaker 4: Do you think it's fair or fell for him to
- 36:32Speaker 4: come out, what five years into his career and be like, actually,
- 36:35Speaker 4: my name is a chan after just sitting there and
- 36:39Speaker 4: taking it for five seasons in the NFL, what what
- 36:42Speaker 4: are your What's what's the vibe here?
- 36:44Speaker 5: Not as long right for Jon Robinson, but he did
- 36:46Speaker 5: the same thing last year. It was like, actually, it's
- 36:51Speaker 5: a little weird to me. To me, the first time
- 36:52Speaker 5: somebody fucks up my name, I'm gonna like Pat's tough
- 36:55Speaker 5: to get wrong, although people call me Matt all the time,
- 36:57Speaker 5: but you know, like the second somebody messes up my name,
- 36:59Speaker 5: I'm I'm going to tell them how to pronounce it properly.
- 37:02Speaker 5: It's very weird to me to wait years to be like, oh,
- 37:04Speaker 5: by the way, I think I've earned it now for
- 37:07Speaker 5: you to say my name correctly. But I've Junior camon
- 37:11Speaker 5: Aro is so much more fun to say than junior
- 37:14Speaker 5: common arrow, and just about everybody calls them camon arrow.
- 37:17Speaker 5: But ever since I've heard that it was supposed to
- 37:19Speaker 5: be common arrow, I've tried to correct it and say
- 37:23Speaker 5: it correctly.
- 37:24Speaker 3: All the time, and I do a pretty good like.
- 37:26Speaker 5: I want to call guys by what their name is,
- 37:30Speaker 5: even if they're too shy or quiet or whatever the
- 37:34Speaker 5: hell it is that makes them wait years. Once I
- 37:36Speaker 5: know that your name should be pronounced a specific way,
- 37:40Speaker 5: I'm gonna try. One of my best friends growing up,
- 37:42Speaker 5: his name was Hereton Rakat to man Bettin, except every
- 37:45Speaker 5: time i'd say that, he would tell me I was
- 37:46Speaker 5: pronouncing it wrong and say the same fucking thing.
- 37:48Speaker 3: Right back to me. But I want to try, at
- 37:50Speaker 3: least to get it right.
- 37:52Speaker 2: Did anybody else notice that within the first five minutes
- 37:55Speaker 2: of the broadcast, Tarrico called Trevor Trevor.
- 37:59Speaker 1: Ah, I did not notice that.
- 38:03Speaker 2: Yes I did, probably because you guys weren't looking for it.
- 38:06Speaker 2: But Panthers, obviously he was getting some playing time because
- 38:09Speaker 2: I think he's their third string.
- 38:11Speaker 4: Immediately within the first five minutes of the broadcast, Rika
- 38:14Speaker 4: called him a chan.
- 38:16Speaker 1: I'm of the belief that once you get like five
- 38:19Speaker 1: years removed, and I'm just throwing an arbitrary number in there,
- 38:23Speaker 1: but about five years removed from people calling you a
- 38:25Speaker 1: certain name, you now lose the rights to how your
- 38:28Speaker 1: name is pronounced. It now belongs to the ether, it
- 38:31Speaker 1: belongs to the community at large that's talking about you,
- 38:34Speaker 1: and you are just simply the label. So that's the
- 38:37Speaker 1: way that I view it. And this goes back to
- 38:39Speaker 1: it's not like we just started learning about this guy.
- 38:42Speaker 1: He was a star in college. I called him ETN
- 38:44Speaker 1: when he played at Clemson. Two.
- 38:46Speaker 3: Does that mean change the name on my license to asshole?
- 38:51Speaker 1: Now if you want to go buy asshole? Yeah, we
- 38:53Speaker 1: got you, Okay, we got you.
- 38:55Speaker 3: Well.
- 38:55Speaker 1: Speaking of running backs, though, there's a guy that's backing
- 38:58Speaker 1: him up, that has put together a Hall of Fame career,
- 39:00Speaker 1: arguably Alvin Kamara. What does what kind of role does
- 39:04Speaker 1: he play? This is odd to me that they've gone
- 39:06Speaker 1: through this restructuring, this rebuild. You don't often see legendary
- 39:11Speaker 1: running backs slide to a backup role later on in
- 39:15Speaker 1: their career with the team that they helped build.
- 39:18Speaker 5: Yeah, when they brought in h Chan, I guess it
- 39:21Speaker 5: seemed like the writing was on the wall right that
- 39:24Speaker 5: Alvin Kamara would be somewhere else, But apparently he really
- 39:27Speaker 5: loves New Orleans. I think he's a guy that can
- 39:29Speaker 5: certainly lend a hand to everybody in the room as
- 39:32Speaker 5: far as just being that veteran voice and a guy
- 39:34Speaker 5: that you know that they trust there in New Orleans.
- 39:37Speaker 5: And I just think he's going to be a guy
- 39:39Speaker 5: that everybody misses time, especially at the running back position,
- 39:43Speaker 5: right it's a difficult position to get through and when
- 39:45Speaker 5: you need to rely on somebody that's not one of
- 39:48Speaker 5: your top guys, and you can rely on a guy
- 39:50Speaker 5: like like Alvin Kamara, like you gotta feel pretty good
- 39:53Speaker 5: about that. So not shocked that he ended up back
- 39:56Speaker 5: there after his long career there, but it will be interesting.
- 40:00Speaker 5: I agree with you, it'd be interesting to see how
- 40:02Speaker 5: much he's really utilized. But what a great guy to
- 40:04Speaker 5: have on the back burner if you need him for
- 40:06Speaker 5: limited snaps.
- 40:08Speaker 1: Pat over under for the Saints sitting at seven and
- 40:11Speaker 1: a half, would you take the over or the under
- 40:13Speaker 1: on them? Season long?
- 40:15Speaker 5: I feel the same way about this whole division. It's insane.
- 40:18Speaker 5: They're just all like, oh, they could be good. They
- 40:20Speaker 5: could suck like I literally think everything and we were
- 40:23Speaker 5: talking about it, and you talked about the odds being
- 40:25Speaker 5: as close as they are. Any team in this division
- 40:28Speaker 5: could shock everyone and be really good or just suck
- 40:32Speaker 5: out loud I think I'm gonna take the over with
- 40:34Speaker 5: New Orleans because of my disbelief in what's going on
- 40:37Speaker 5: in Carolina with the injuries and Atlanta. I just don't
- 40:40Speaker 5: know if they're going to land on a quarterback.
- 40:41Speaker 2: Ever.
- 40:43Speaker 1: Saints' thirty easiest division or easiest schedule in the NFL too,
- 40:48Speaker 1: so it doesn't hurt. That does not hurt, Kendra. The
- 40:51Speaker 1: best way to bet the Saints, I think you've already
- 40:53Speaker 1: done it.
- 40:53Speaker 2: I have Fate's already tracking in the action app as
- 40:56Speaker 2: we speak, Ladies and germs.
- 40:58Speaker 1: I'm gonna hedge my bets on on New Orleans here
- 41:03Speaker 1: and just bet Kellen Moore to win Coach of the
- 41:05Speaker 1: Year at twelve to one, because if the Saints do
- 41:08Speaker 1: hit they're upside, then I think he's gonna I'm gonna
- 41:13Speaker 1: throw that.
- 41:14Speaker 5: By the way, Yeah, maybe the most wrong I was
- 41:16Speaker 5: last year is going into the season, I said Kellen
- 41:19Speaker 5: Moore was the best quarterback on the team.
- 41:21Speaker 1: Oh oh, well, you know, going into the season, that
- 41:25Speaker 1: wasn't a bad take. Actually, uh, Matt Ryan might be
- 41:28Speaker 1: the best quarterback on the team. We're about to discuss.
- 41:30Speaker 1: It is time for the reason you all hit play today.
- 41:33Speaker 1: My Atlanta Falcons new regime, Raheem Morris, Terry Fontino, the
- 41:37Speaker 1: GM gone, the Falcons ushering in the Stefanski Ryan administration.
- 41:43Speaker 1: Quarterback I know, giant question mark two often injured lefties
- 41:49Speaker 1: that we gotta trust if you're laying the dollars on Atlanta.
- 41:53Speaker 1: I don't love the fact that they lost Jalen Walker
- 41:56Speaker 1: in training camp either. He had five and a half
- 41:58Speaker 1: sacks as a rookie last year.
- 41:59Speaker 3: But other than that, and the other guy's cuckoo for
- 42:02Speaker 3: cocoa puffs.
- 42:03Speaker 1: And yeah, James Pierce is the other guy who had
- 42:05Speaker 1: He was a later drafts pick, had more sex than
- 42:08Speaker 1: Jalen Walker last year ten and a half led the
- 42:10Speaker 1: team and he could be suspended for half the year,
- 42:13Speaker 1: the whole year. We have no idea we still have
- 42:17Speaker 1: or he could be in jail. It's also a possibility.
- 42:20Speaker 1: I'm a buyer in the Falcons. I can give you
- 42:22Speaker 1: the full sales pitch later, Pat, but where are you
- 42:24Speaker 1: on this football team?
- 42:26Speaker 5: I'm not And because of what we've just talked about
- 42:28Speaker 5: with both of the defensive ends and what's happened there,
- 42:31Speaker 5: you're also talking about a new head coach and man,
- 42:35Speaker 5: you gotta find a way to believe in a guy
- 42:37Speaker 5: who has fired from the Cleveland Browns, Like, that's not easy.
- 42:40Speaker 3: And I actually like Kevin Stefanski. I think he can
- 42:42Speaker 3: be a good coach, but I just I.
- 42:45Speaker 5: Like Michael Pennick so much, but I don't know that
- 42:47Speaker 5: he can stay on the field. And I'm not sold
- 42:50Speaker 5: on to a tongue of via Looa. There's very few
- 42:52Speaker 5: things where I will take something that you said and
- 42:55Speaker 5: be like, I can't believe in you now right?
- 42:58Speaker 3: What do you see?
- 43:01Speaker 5: The Arizona State head coach was just playing nursery rhymes
- 43:04Speaker 5: at practice yesterday.
- 43:06Speaker 3: I can't believe in you after that. And yeah, it's just.
- 43:12Speaker 5: It's a really really weird, really weird spot that Atlanta
- 43:14Speaker 5: Falcons are in, having to rely on Stefanski having two
- 43:17Speaker 5: quarterbacks that can't stay on the field, and then to
- 43:20Speaker 5: a tongue of Ioloa telling us last year, well, I
- 43:23Speaker 5: couldn't see over my offensive lineman.
- 43:26Speaker 2: I would like to play a game. Here's the game
- 43:29Speaker 2: that I would like to play. Is there any team
- 43:33Speaker 2: in the NFL remove the Falcons from this, that you
- 43:38Speaker 2: would want to go starting in Week two? Remove the
- 43:41Speaker 2: division from it. We're going to account for the fact
- 43:43Speaker 2: that they're divisional games, because divisional games are different. So
- 43:47Speaker 2: Week two, the Falcons are going to play the Panthers,
- 43:50Speaker 2: then they're going to head into the Packers. They're going
- 43:51Speaker 2: to play another divisional game against the Saints. They're going
- 43:54Speaker 2: to go to the Race, or they're going to play
- 43:55Speaker 2: the Ravens at home, play the Bears at home, play
- 43:58Speaker 2: the forty nine ers at home, play another divisional game
- 44:01Speaker 2: against the Buccaneers, and then they're going to play the Falcons,
- 44:04Speaker 2: And then they're going to play the Chiefs.
- 44:06Speaker 4: And then they're going to play the Vikings, which is
- 44:07Speaker 4: a question.
- 44:08Speaker 1: You said they're going to play the Falcons. They are
- 44:09Speaker 1: the Falcons.
- 44:10Speaker 2: I'm sorry, they're going to play They're going to play
- 44:12Speaker 2: the Chiefs, the Vikings, which are a question mark, and
- 44:15Speaker 2: then they're going to play the Lions. Is there any team,
- 44:19Speaker 2: even with a good quarterback situation, good roster situation, that
- 44:23Speaker 2: you would want to throw into that gauntlet and assume
- 44:25Speaker 2: that they're going to win the division, let alone have
- 44:27Speaker 2: a Super Bowl future on them.
- 44:29Speaker 3: It's a great point. It's a very tough stretch, and
- 44:32Speaker 3: it's a tough stretch with.
- 44:33Speaker 4: That is Week two to December sixth, By the way, Yeah.
- 44:37Speaker 5: It's a tough stretch without you know, a real certainty
- 44:40Speaker 5: at quarterback, and I think that makes it very, very tough.
- 44:42Speaker 5: That's one of the things that makes me, as much
- 44:45Speaker 5: as I'm uncertain about the Buccaneers, confident they can win
- 44:48Speaker 5: this division. When you talk about scheduling, a lot of
- 44:52Speaker 5: teams get really tough schedules, and the Bucks isn't necessarily
- 44:55Speaker 5: the easiest schedule. But what they don't have all season
- 44:58Speaker 5: long is back to back road games, and I think
- 45:01Speaker 5: that's very beneficial. They do have two road games in
- 45:04Speaker 5: a row, but there's a bye week in between, so
- 45:06Speaker 5: they don't actually go on the road two weeks in
- 45:08Speaker 5: a row all season long.
- 45:11Speaker 2: Still nothing further from me, your honor, Well, that was
- 45:15Speaker 2: quite the case that you built.
- 45:17Speaker 1: I think offensively they have the most talent in the division.
- 45:20Speaker 1: That's one of the reasons massive coaching upgrade. A guy
- 45:23Speaker 1: that's won Coach of the Year twice.
- 45:25Speaker 3: Who'reback part of the offense though, Right.
- 45:27Speaker 1: Okay, but here's the thing. All I hear is how
- 45:31Speaker 1: bad this team is going to be at quarterback. I
- 45:34Speaker 1: happen to like Michael Pennix I like the upside.
- 45:37Speaker 4: Total a brain and a half and maybe one and
- 45:40Speaker 4: a half acls.
- 45:41Speaker 1: Well, good thing there's two of them then, Okay, So
- 45:43Speaker 1: I like the upside of Michael Pennix more than two.
- 45:47Speaker 1: But the floor of Tua and two likely starts the
- 45:50Speaker 1: season for this team is so much higher than people
- 45:54Speaker 1: give him credit for. And I am not a to
- 45:56Speaker 1: a guy, but I wasn't a to a guy as
- 45:59Speaker 1: let's pay him as like he's Patrick Mahomes. That's not
- 46:02Speaker 1: the case anymore. Tua's playoff record one and one, the
- 46:07Speaker 1: only quarterback in the division at five hundred or better
- 46:10Speaker 1: Baker Mayfield's two and three, Bryce Young's oh to one.
- 46:13Speaker 1: Tyler Shucks never played in the playoffs. He's one of
- 46:16Speaker 1: two quarterbacks in the division, Baker Mayfield the other one,
- 46:18Speaker 1: who's thrown for four thousand yards in a season. He
- 46:21Speaker 1: notoriously struggles in cold weather. We hate him for that,
- 46:25Speaker 1: Atlanta winter months play against two cold weather teams outdoors,
- 46:29Speaker 1: the Browns not tough and the Washington Commanders. We have
- 46:33Speaker 1: no idea what.
- 46:36Speaker 3: Yeh?
- 46:36Speaker 1: Yes, and we get a revenge. Great point. Gone are
- 46:40Speaker 1: the days of having to take Tua into Buffalo, New
- 46:43Speaker 1: York in December, where he's gonna get slaughtered. Career winning
- 46:48Speaker 1: percentage Tua fifty seven percent, every other quarterback in the
- 46:54Speaker 1: division below five hundred, including Baker Mayfield who's at forty
- 46:57Speaker 1: eight percent. And if you go, well, well, well what
- 46:59Speaker 1: about his day with Tampa fifty three percent, which is
- 47:02Speaker 1: still a lower win rate than Tua. Are we sure
- 47:06Speaker 1: that he's that much worse than everybody else in the division.
- 47:10Speaker 1: I rest my case.
- 47:11Speaker 2: I don't think you're helping yourself that he's literally one
- 47:14Speaker 2: hit away from just not playing, and it is possible
- 47:17Speaker 2: and accusing Michael Pennix to be the guy you want
- 47:20Speaker 2: to start long term, but you're talking late season two
- 47:22Speaker 2: a tongue of Iloa playing in the cold.
- 47:24Speaker 1: I'd like the fact that, yeah, well, I like the
- 47:26Speaker 1: fact that I've got two I've got two options at
- 47:29Speaker 1: mediocrity with A. I love the roster around them.
- 47:32Speaker 4: See me and my Brown's future. When I'm like, there's
- 47:34Speaker 4: no drop off between them, it's.
- 47:36Speaker 1: Fine, Yeah, but they're they're both bad. I think what
- 47:39Speaker 1: I'm trying to sell you is that Penis has a
- 47:41Speaker 1: chance to be really good and Tua is already decent
- 47:45Speaker 1: when he's on the field. The issue with two is
- 47:47Speaker 1: the concussions.
- 47:49Speaker 2: Okay, you've had Kirk Cousins who didn't have any lower
- 47:52Speaker 2: body anything, and now you have a guy who's had
- 47:54Speaker 2: two latecl surgeries on this one, one knee and a
- 47:57Speaker 2: third on the other.
- 47:59Speaker 1: Let's plant the flag on the NFC South. Shut up,
- 48:03Speaker 1: I'm trying to plant my flag here.
- 48:04Speaker 3: Okay, you're really.
- 48:05Speaker 1: Planning your flag in that sex. I will start with also,
- 48:09Speaker 1: my best way to bet the Falcons, which is just
- 48:11Speaker 1: for them to win the division, this crappy division, and
- 48:13Speaker 1: why not them?
- 48:14Speaker 3: Why not?
- 48:15Speaker 1: Now division winners? Four to one on the Atlanta Falcons.
- 48:19Speaker 1: I've stated my case one hundred times on this podcast.
- 48:23Speaker 1: I've been waiting months for this pat Their win total
- 48:28Speaker 1: is sitting at six and a half. It is the
- 48:29Speaker 1: lowest among all of the NFC South teams. So are
- 48:34Speaker 1: you that out on the Atlanta Falcons.
- 48:36Speaker 3: Yes, you might take the over on six and a half.
- 48:39Speaker 5: I'm not sold on the Atlanta Falcons to win the
- 48:41Speaker 5: division or really be a contender this year because I
- 48:45Speaker 5: just and I'm with you, dude, I think Michael Penix
- 48:48Speaker 5: can be very good. I just don't know if he's
- 48:51Speaker 5: going to ever stay on the football field for a
- 48:52Speaker 5: seventeen game season. That's my concern about Michael Pennix is
- 48:56Speaker 5: that we'll never really see who we.
- 48:59Speaker 3: Could have been.
- 49:01Speaker 1: Andrew best way to bet the Falcons plant the flag,
- 49:04Speaker 1: bet on the NFC South take us home.
- 49:08Speaker 4: I want nothing to do with this team.
- 49:10Speaker 2: Is there like a prop of over two and a
- 49:12Speaker 2: half quarterbacks to see the field?
- 49:14Speaker 1: I would think so, Wally Murk, So maybe maybe we
- 49:19Speaker 1: can get it on the prediction markets? All right, what
- 49:22Speaker 1: about division wide? What's your face? Is it the Saints?
- 49:24Speaker 1: What's your favorite?
- 49:25Speaker 2: It's the only thing I have tracking I this division
- 49:29Speaker 2: is too gross for anything else. The Falcons schedule, they
- 49:34Speaker 2: this might be a hot take. The Saints might have
- 49:36Speaker 2: the easiest schedule. They might have the most difficult. Like,
- 49:39Speaker 2: I know there's conversations for Dallas and the Bearers and
- 49:42Speaker 2: other people, but for me Atlanta with the injuries and
- 49:46Speaker 2: chaos that they're already facing. I wish you guys were
- 49:49Speaker 2: young enough to get SpongeBob meames. But it feels like
- 49:51Speaker 2: the episode of SpongeBob where he got beat up. One
- 49:54Speaker 2: of his eyes has crossed his tongues across the room
- 49:56Speaker 2: and he's like just literally crawling to the finish line.
- 49:59Speaker 3: My co host this is thirty six.
