- 1:36All right, guys, welcome back to Dial IT Up, everyone's favorite
- 1:41lightning round news segment where we got five stories.
- 1:44Errol hasn't heard. He's going to hear him right now
- 1:47and he's got the dial up a take starting off right away.
- 1:50Clayton Kershaw's announced his retirement and he had his final
- 1:54start regular season start at Dodger Stadium on Friday.
- 1:57Let everybody know the day before, he pitched 4 in a third,
- 1:59striking out six, giving up a couple runs, a couple of hits in
- 2:02the no decision. He was pulled after striking out
- 2:05Raphael Devers in the 5th to a standing ovation from the crowd
- 2:08and dugouts and fans everywhere. His former teammates came out in
- 2:12droves for the event, including retired players Andre Ethier,
- 2:15Russell Martin, Chase Utley, Austin Barnes, and AJ Pollock,
- 2:18as well as former high school football team teammate which
- 2:21everyone was reminded of every single game.
- 2:24I believe that they both played for about a decade and a half.
- 2:28Matthew Stafford. And the last thing I have here
- 2:32are Kershaw's stats guys. You think his stats were good in
- 2:34his career? That's a for sure Hall of Famer,
- 2:37no question. Stupid.
- 2:39The stats for and I'm having a little bit of lag on my end over
- 2:42here, but let's just say 2.53 ERA and A1O2 WHIP with 222 wins
- 2:49under 100 losses, like 80 something losses.
- 2:54Left-hander over 3000 strikeouts as well.
- 2:58Hey, this guy's going on my wall next.
- 3:01Future Hall of Famer is It's not even a question if he's a future
- 3:04Hall of Famer. Errol Is he possibly the
- 3:07greatest left-handed pitcher in the history of the game?
- 3:12Dial it. Up I don't know about the
- 3:14greatest lefty of all time, top three.
- 3:17There's no question that he is what he's done is pretty, you
- 3:20know, it's pretty sacred. If you're if you're a Dodger
- 3:23fan, you can argue, but there's a bit of there's been a couple
- 3:26of good Dodger left-handed pitchers of all time.
- 3:29So it there's there's definitely somebody that you can argue with
- 3:32on that, that end, but he's one of the greatest pitchers of this
- 3:36era. There's no argument to that.
- 3:38I mean, we talk about CC Sabathia, we talk about Clayton
- 3:41Kershaw. There are other guys, Roy
- 3:43Holiday, but this guy could be the best.
- 3:45There's no question. And what makes him remarkable is
- 3:49his consistency. If you look at the consistent
- 3:52pitching that he has had over the last, you know, his first
- 3:556-7 years, impeccable. Joe Torre said it best.
- 3:59He could arguably be the greatest pitcher he's ever
- 4:01coached, he's ever managed, one of the greatest and very well
- 4:05deserved. I knew he was going to retire
- 4:08because he was going, he, he was going to the All Star game that
- 4:11he met. He mentioned this could be his
- 4:13last All Star game before the season started.
- 4:16So I I knew this was his final year.
- 4:18It's not surprising that he came out 2-3 weeks ago saying this.
- 4:22This is his final season. Congratulations to one of the
- 4:24greatest lefties, one of the great greatest personalities
- 4:27baseball's ever seen. There's no question Clayton
- 4:30Kershaw. His numbers, I mean, he, he's
- 4:32going to as a left-handed pitcher, he's going to go, I
- 4:35mean, top three, there's only four with 3000 strikeouts.
- 4:38I doubt it'll ever happen again because I don't think people are
- 4:40going to play long enough to get 3000.
- 4:44And the crazy part is, is not only do his numbers speak for
- 4:48himself, but Clayton is one of the salt of the earth, one of
- 4:52the nicest human beings ever. Just just a great, great dude
- 4:56all around. Like, I mean, just loves
- 4:59everybody. Just crazy.
- 5:01Good ping pong player, by the way.
- 5:05And just I mean for him to go out the way he did and have the
- 5:08year he did after struggling a little bit and and doing what he
- 5:12did 10 and two. And you know, he probably
- 5:15probably is going to end up in the bullpen when they get to the
- 5:17playoffs. But to have the career and and
- 5:20just the way he did it with just dignity and and just just, yeah,
- 5:25there's nothing you can't say. I mean, other than some of his
- 5:29bad haircuts. That's about the only thing, the
- 5:31only thing you can say. But just a grinder, one hat all
- 5:35year, sweat stains in it, same glove, you know, just going
- 5:39about his business. And yeah, the 22 will go down
- 5:42and be retired with the Dodgers and he will be a first ballot.
- 5:47Crazy to say that he wouldn't be 100%, but we've seen that
- 5:51there's a lot of people that don't get 100%.
- 5:52There's only been one. But if if anybody deserving he
- 5:55is, he is definitely one to do it.
- 5:57So hats off to him and and a great career.
- 6:00And, you know, now he gets to go be a dad and have fun and, you
- 6:04know, do all that and be busier than he's ever been.
- 6:07Yeah, he's fantastic. Signature curveball.
- 6:10Good pitcher. Not the best post season pitcher
- 6:13but it is what it is. He won a couple World Series
- 6:16rings. I mean stood the test of father
- 6:20time as all the accolades. I remember looking at his
- 6:24numbers like 3 or 4 years ago and he was a for sure first
- 6:27ballot Hall of Famer. So he's just tacking on to the
- 6:29numbers. He's been really fun to watch.
- 6:31I got to watch him in person, never got to play with him,
- 6:34played against him, got to watch him in person.
- 6:36It was incredible. And anything I've ever heard
- 6:38about him has been first class, you know, wonderful teammate,
- 6:43goes out of his way da, da, da. I mean, he's he's one of the
- 6:48best to ever do it now. Best left-handed pitcher of all
- 6:50time. Couldn't be.
- 6:52I don't know. He's in the conversation, right?
- 6:55He's definitely in the conversation.
- 6:57There's been some really good ones.
- 6:58I mean, some really good ones. You know, Randy Johnson comes to
- 7:02mind. Is he the best of all time?
- 7:05I don't know. I guess it's all subjective, but
- 7:08he definitely, he's definitely. Look at it like the fact that
- 7:11MVP. He's definitely the best
- 7:15left-handed. Well, aside from, I mean, CC was
- 7:17really good too, right? Like incredible.
- 7:21But aside from CC like Clayton Kershaw was probably the best
- 7:24left-handed pitcher I've ever seen play.
- 7:29It's a short list for sure. It's a very short list, but he's
- 7:32definitely, I mean, listen, I don't collect very many jerseys
- 7:36with especially with guys that I've I've never played with
- 7:40like, but there's there's a certain few that I have
- 7:43Kershaw's one of them. Trout is another.
- 7:48And then like Ichiro will never play well, I did spring training
- 7:51with Ichiro, but like David Ortiz never played with them,
- 7:53played against them. Had to get it.
- 7:55One of my guys growing up and then pool holes played against
- 7:58pool holes many times and like, you know, just it's just like
- 8:03small amount of guys that I'll get now the guys who play on my
- 8:05team, I'll get to jerseys all day.
- 8:07By the way, I like that jersey, bro.
- 8:11Does it say my name on the back? Yes.
- 8:13Hold on. Hold on, hold on.
- 8:16Good word. Just just.
- 8:20This this proves Nick that he does have a he does have what?
- 8:22Somebody. 'S.
- 8:24Got somebody's? Got it.
- 8:25Oh my. God I'm digging and go purple
- 8:28and go looking tight. I have no Moody.
- 8:33Yeah, I weigh in on the on the left-handed pitcher because
- 8:36obviously it's interesting to based on the error
- 8:37subjectiveness too and also the longevity like Kershaw's
- 8:40definitely brought the longevity.
- 8:41Jared and her private chat mentioned Warren Spahn.
- 8:43That's another one that you have presenting the longevity too.
- 8:46Then you have the other argument with somebody like Sandy Koufax
- 8:48and then you look at he had those great peak years, didn't
- 8:51have the longevity that you see somebody like Kershaw, Steve.
- 8:53I would take Sandy Koufax over him and that that's about it.
- 8:57And that's the R is the Dodgers are concerned.
- 9:00That's the argument when you look at the the the peak years
- 9:02and then you look at the premier pitches, like you're saying
- 9:04Randy Johnson just had the the flamethrower and then you had
- 9:07Kershaw go to you were talking about his curveball, like being
- 9:09maybe one of the single greatest pitchers ever.
- 9:11He had that when he was really young too.
- 9:12It wasn't like it was something you just developed over time,
- 9:14which is hard to do for a left-handed pitcher.
- 9:16And that's another thing that makes him so great as it was.
- 9:19Yeah, his post season numbers weren't great.
- 9:20We all like to make fun for it at certain points because again,
- 9:23he played for the Dodgers, a team that nobody likes.
- 9:25But at the same time, he's one of the greatest careers that
- 9:27we've seen from a pitcher. This.
- 9:29I had to take a shit. And you'd never, never, never
- 9:32teach that delivery either. Like to try and teach that, like
- 9:35it's so hard to repeat. And it's just, he's just fun to
- 9:38watch. Yeah, it was, it was great.
- 9:41Yeah. I don't, I don't know.
- 9:42Like, I've tried, you know, we've all tried to, like, mimic
- 9:45people. That's not what we do.
- 9:47I almost fell over when I tried it.
- 9:50Yeah, it takes special person to be able to repeat that delivery
- 9:53too. You know, the only other person
- 9:55I can think of who came close to scratching their cleat like that
- 9:57was Rob Nen. And he actually did.
- 10:02To compare. Yeah, I guess.
- 10:03I got to say Peyton Manning got so ugly man.
- 10:06He is 1 ugly SOB. Man, yeah, with the hairline
- 10:09receding. Are you talking about, are you
- 10:11talking about Peyton Manning? Peyton Manning Manning?
- 10:13No, it's. Motivating Manning?
- 10:15Hey, Manning is 1 ugly SOB. Hey, man.
- 10:20Hey, you know who else? Who else has seen better days?
- 10:23It's Ed Gein. Errol Gein, the String cheese
- 10:27serial killer. First of all, you're correct to
- 10:30me, you say, Peyton, when you were calling me Achilles.
- 10:32Achilles. I mean, come on, Achilles.
- 10:36Who says that? Errol, you're not one to talk
- 10:38you you butcher some saying so. What so do?
- 10:41You literally so do. You like what same one?
- 10:44There's a lot of things You want me to pull it out of my ass
- 10:46that's. That's a good one.
- 10:48Yeah, that's a good one. That's another good sound by
- 10:51Tommy. Made my nipples hard.
- 10:55Go suck on an egg and. Go suck on an egg.
- 11:00All right, let's let's get away from Clayton Kershaw and get
- 11:04into some college football because there was quite a wild
- 11:10play that caused a major difference in the Oklahoma
- 11:15Auburn game. I'm calling it a Belichickian
- 11:18illegal trick play. If you saw the game, Oklahoma,
- 11:24Auburn, Always forget Oklahoma's in the SEC now.
- 11:27But Oklahoma and Auburn controversy was a foot early in
- 11:30the game. In second quarter, wide receiver
- 11:33Isaiah Sategna, the third, pretended to be heading to the
- 11:36sideline for his sub but stayed on the field.
- 11:39No one from Auburn saw it or covered him and he ran and
- 11:43uncontested fade for an easy touchdown.
- 11:46The problem is that that is an unfair tactic and is in quotes
- 11:50and is against NCAA Football Rule 9-2, Article 2.
- 11:55No simulated replacements or substitutions may be used to
- 11:59confuse opponents. No tactic associated with
- 12:01substitutes or the substitution process may be used to confuse
- 12:05opponents. This includes any hideout tactic
- 12:08with or without a substitution. So the SEC basically said they
- 12:14screwed up and they're going to discipline the officials.
- 12:17If you remember correctly, this move was made famous by Bill
- 12:21Belichick back in 2014 and was subsequently made illegal by the
- 12:25NFL and apparently the NCAA. Oklahoma won the game by 1.
- 12:30Touchdown 24 to 17. Errol.
- 12:35Dial it up. Yeah, it's pretty simple.
- 12:38Anybody want to be a belly bell? Well, ladies and gentlemen, they
- 12:41did it. Oklahoma did it.
- 12:43Here's the facts. I mean, I didn't watch the game.
- 12:45I heard a little bit about it yesterday and and to me, the
- 12:50fact that the touchdown counted and the play counted, I could
- 12:54care less if the referees get reprimanded.
- 12:57It affected the game. And if it affects the game, how
- 13:00does that benefit any of the other teams that allowed it to
- 13:03happen? I mean, honestly, it was an
- 13:06embarrassment for the NF, NCAA. It's an embarrassment, obviously
- 13:09that it wasn't. Obviously the referees didn't
- 13:12know the rule or didn't see it. How did you not see it when it
- 13:15was played right in front of your eyes?
- 13:17Makes no sense. But again, the NCAA will find a
- 13:21way to tuck it under the rug, as the MLB does for Mr. Osheyo
- 13:26Adani, as we all know. Yeah, it definitely was.
- 13:29It's an illegal method that should have been should have
- 13:33been. That was a shot at Job, by the
- 13:35way, and he gave me the thumbs up on it.
- 13:39Yeah, it was blatantly obvious, too.
- 13:41Like I always It's one thing if the call is controversial, if
- 13:44it's close. We've seen instances of that in
- 13:47college football where sometimes targeting can be very sketchy
- 13:50based on where you lean with your helmet and stuff like that.
- 13:53That's the only thing, easy, drastic things, getting players
- 13:55ejected or suspended for the next game.
- 13:57That could become more crucial in conference play.
- 13:59But this is blatantly obvious, and I give Oklahoma coaching
- 14:02staff from credit. Brent Venables has been one of
- 14:04the better offensive coaches when he was at Clemson.
- 14:07They definitely miss him right now.
- 14:07He's been a good head coach now and their offensive staff's been
- 14:10good for a long time. But that was definitely illegal.
- 14:12And again, in a game like that of two ranked SEC opponents
- 14:16could define the season for both of those teams.
- 14:17And you got to feel bad for Auburn in that regard, too.
- 14:20Again, wouldn't have won them the game.
- 14:21I don't know. Oklahoma was still out playing
- 14:23them, but it was enough. Where cares?
- 14:25If they're going to get reprimanded, really, who cares?
- 14:28It could cost Auburn a chance to make it to the final 12th.
- 14:33So how does that benefit anybody in Oklahoma?
- 14:36So reprimand them all you want. It's not going to it's not going
- 14:40to help anything that happened in the game.
- 14:42What a crock. The NCAA.
- 14:44Go ahead, brush it under the rug.
- 14:46Brush it under the rug like every organization likes to do.
- 14:49And that's what's going to happen when you look at the way
- 14:51the College Football Playoff rankings have come out with the
- 14:5412 teams now, either we're still controversy even with the four
- 14:56teams, but even more with the 12 teams and Oklahoma getting in in
- 15:00that little bit of a tiebreaker of a quality conference win
- 15:03could be a difference of another team getting screwed.
- 15:05That may be warning you've gotten that benefit.
- 15:07All right, let's move on away from that play, which by the
- 15:11way, I laughed that so hard that they didn't call that a penalty.
- 15:14Everybody knows that's a penalty, like I thought every
- 15:17official knows that's a penalty. You can't do that.
- 15:20But whatever. SEC.
- 15:23SEC Baby. SEC to New York Yankee second
- 15:27baseman Jazz Chisholm joining the 3030.
- 15:32Club. Yes, Errol's favorite Yankee
- 15:36second baseman, maybe in the history of the game, Jazz
- 15:39Chisholm reached the club for the first time in his career.
- 15:42He's the third Yankee ever to reach this milestone.
- 15:45Soriano did it twice, in 2002 and 2003, and Bobby Bonds,
- 15:49father of Barry Bonds, did it in 1975.
- 15:53I feel like it's boosted my career 100% in different ways.
- 15:57The winning mentality, talking about being a Yankee, the
- 16:00winning mentality, the winning atmosphere, the way everybody in
- 16:02the front office to the training staff wants to win.
- 16:05This is how I felt like I grew up or playing baseball and what
- 16:09I needed to be around to be even more successful.
- 16:14And it doesn't want a little. There it goes.
- 16:16According to friend of the Show and Yankees reporter Brian Hoke,
- 16:19Jazz is thinking even bigger and wants 4040.
- 16:24I've been saying that since I've been a rookie.
- 16:27Errol. First off, are the are the
- 16:30Yankees going to keep Jazz? What is it going to cost to keep
- 16:33them if they do? And you think he's a 4040 guy
- 16:37potentially? Dial him up.
- 16:39Well, as long as he gets rid of that ugly chain he wears after
- 16:43the games. Oh my God it's horrible that
- 16:46that has more of a glare than watching him play baseball right
- 16:50now. He's batting 247.
- 16:51What are we going to pay for a guy that's batting 247?
- 16:54He's 30 foot 30. Great for him.
- 16:55He plays in Yankee Stadium. Short porch.
- 16:58Kiss my ass left-handed ball sucker.
- 17:02I got to say something about Chazzy Chizz.
- 17:04The guy is overrated. He's not worth a dime.
- 17:08The only person that was worth a dime is Danny Dimes.
- 17:11Money that baby. I can't stand this guy.
- 17:14He sits, he prances, he dances, and by the way, he can only hit
- 17:19three home runs in a Home Run Derby stick.
- 17:23I don't want to pay him. Let him go somewhere else,
- 17:27little ball sucker. Yeah, what I mean, you can say
- 17:32what you want. You don't have to like him as a
- 17:35person or what he wears. But if you if you look at his
- 17:38162 numbers, they're pretty impressive.
- 17:41They're elite, elite of the second baseman and all of
- 17:44baseball. We're just not talking second
- 17:46baseman. It's it's top three as second
- 17:48baseman and it's top 10 as a 162 average for what he's played.
- 17:54Can he do it? Yes.
- 17:56Do they care that he's hitting 247?
- 17:57No, because he's more than serviceable defensively.
- 18:01I mean better than what you know, he's still going to make
- 18:04errors. We know that's going to happen.
- 18:05But I are they going to pay half the guys?
- 18:08I have no idea what they're going to do.
- 18:11Do they like what he brings to the team in different ways than
- 18:16than what is on the field? But he can kind of do what he
- 18:20wants if he's the 3030 guy. And when you really break it
- 18:23down of what he's done, it's tough to go against not paying
- 18:27the dude. It's it's just tough.
- 18:28He's not worth the string cheese I just ate.
- 18:33Listen, you might not like his antics, but the guy is putting
- 18:36up numbers right now and he's doing it in New York, which is
- 18:39not the easiest place to play. He's kind of like, he's kind of
- 18:45like Prime is what it reminds me of.
- 18:49Prime rib. That's about it.
- 18:52Yeah, he brings the flash. He has.
- 18:54He has, you know, the that extra swag, I guess, if you will, that
- 19:02New York really, I don't think has seen in quite some time.
- 19:05And like, that's what you want in New York.
- 19:07You want that New York because that sells.
- 19:10Don't be surprised at this offseason he's on 100 different
- 19:12commercials and he's selling everything from whatever condoms
- 19:17to freaking life insurance. Oh, he'll, he'll have he'll have
- 19:21plenty like he's going to have a long stay in New York when this
- 19:24no matter. Obviously I will standing.
- 19:26On their ground and what he, if he does anything in the
- 19:29playoffs, too. Oh, look at son, game over.
- 19:32His jerseys are going to be thrown off, dude.
- 19:35Some, like old, old baseball fans probably don't like the
- 19:38antics. They probably don't like, you
- 19:40know, the big chain and all that.
- 19:42But the younger generation is all about flair.
- 19:45Trust me, They go up looking like a samurai every time they
- 19:49go to hit, and the guy's throwing 73 miles an hour.
- 19:54Just wear it, dude. Yeah.
- 19:55I'd rather I'd rather go fly fishing than watch that guy play
- 19:59baseball. OK, I mean, do fly fishing.
- 20:02Yeah, exactly. I would rather go fly fishing
- 20:04than watch him too. But you know what there?
- 20:06You go, you agree with me, all right?
- 20:08Yeah, I agree with you all day on that.
- 20:10Dude. You take me to the mountain of
- 20:11Montana. I don't need my phone.
- 20:13I don't need the game. I don't need we go fly fishing.
- 20:15Let's go. Fly fishing, that's.
- 20:17Right. But I'll tell you what.
- 20:18Have you ever fly fish? Of course I have.
- 20:20Why would I say that? I didn't.
- 20:21I didn't fly fishing because I. With no one knew you'd throw
- 20:25something just crazy off the wall.
- 20:27Fly fish I actually learned from a professional fly Fisher so.
- 20:31Fisherman. Why does that not surprise?
- 20:33He probably was the best fly fisherman in the world.
- 20:35No, he. Was good top five in Montana.
- 20:37He was good and it wasn't in Montana when I did that, but but
- 20:42I went fly fishing and he was really, really good and I got a
- 20:44chance to learn how to use the, you know, he was the, you know.
- 20:50So what's the contract? What's the contract, guys?
- 20:53How, what are we talking about? Is this a 5?
- 20:55Year. How old are you?
- 20:55He's, what, 27? 20/27/28 Something like that.
- 21:00I'm sure he's going to get probably A5 for. 150.
- 21:06Maybe. 30 a year. We got to see what the comps
- 21:10are. Don't want him?
- 21:11He'll play all year, next year 28.
- 21:13Don't want? Him so.
- 21:14You get it all year. At 28, you really start hitting
- 21:17your prime. Like 28 to 32 I would say is
- 21:20probably your prime years, depending on who you ask.
- 21:23I feel like I'm in my prime now sitting on the couch, though.
- 21:28So you're paying for his prime years, taking him out of free
- 21:32agency, and he wants to be a Yankee.
- 21:34Like he's expressed that he wants to play in New York.
- 21:37So I mean, he could even take a a hometown deal and go cheaper,
- 21:42but I doubt it because the taxes in New York are ridiculous.
- 21:47I was thinking it's like 6 for 175 or something like that,
- 21:50taken to like his thirty age 33 season where he could still get
- 21:54another contract, you know, something like that.
- 21:57Yeah, I mean that's definitely positive.
- 21:58They can also like they can add in whatever you can restructure
- 22:01the deal midway through and you can add an extension like you
- 22:04know whatever. So depending on how he plays,
- 22:06not really put. Up.
- 22:07What do you think his AAV though?
- 22:09Let's let's OK take the years aside.
- 22:12Is it 30 a year? What is Bregman getting a year
- 22:15I? Think it might be.
- 22:18He's on a, he's on a walk year too, isn't he right?
- 22:20Yeah, he's getting. Bregman, he's got.
- 22:22The opt out, but he's getting he's got a three-year 120, so
- 22:26Bregman's getting 40. OK.
- 22:27So I would go, I would go under Bregman because I feel like
- 22:31Bregman has done it for longer, has been a better player for
- 22:34longer. So like 2020 a year 30, yeah, I
- 22:39guess I would say anywhere but yeah, maybe 25 to 35 somewhere
- 22:43probably in that range, which is.
- 22:44So crazy. Bro that's.
- 22:47A lot of money, man. That's a lot of money one year.
- 22:50That's a lot of jazz you're going to have to watch, Errol.
- 22:53But you know, I would, I would just warn you.
- 22:55I would just warn about jazz in a contract year.
- 22:59Same way I would warn Colts fans about Daniel Jones, who's in a
- 23:02contract year. All right.
- 23:03Anyway, mute this. So mute this guy.
- 23:05Moving on, oh, we're not getting muted because I got something to
- 23:08pick up with you. Breakout season.
- 23:10Errol marks for Jackson Smith and Jiggba on the way.
- 23:15As someone on the show predicted, Jackson Smith and
- 23:19Jiggba's haven't come in that part with Sam Darnold with the
- 23:21departure receivers DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett.
- 23:25In the first two weeks of the season, he was receiving 41.1%
- 23:29of the targets on the team, which was historically would be
- 23:33in the top three all time since 2000, including like the great
- 23:38Dehandre Hopkins season where he got like every pass from that
- 23:41from the Titans and then he all it didn't happen this week.
- 23:45He only got 25% of the target share Errol because he he helped
- 23:49them blow out as their opponent and wasn't playing by like the
- 23:52middle of the third quarter. So he only played 49% of the
- 23:55snaps. Pretty impressive.
- 23:58Right now he is second in the league in receiving yards, 10
- 24:02yards behind Puka Nakua, who I'm sure you're not surprised is
- 24:05leading the league, followed by and he is fifth in receptions
- 24:09with 22. He only had five catches for 96
- 24:12yards and a touchdown in this last game.
- 24:15My question to you is, are actually 2 questions.
- 24:18Are we looking at the emergence of one of the next great
- 24:21receivers in this league? And two, are you willing to
- 24:24admit that I was right about JSN this year?
- 24:30Dial it up. No, they played.
- 24:34San Francisco secondary is crap. Pittsburgh secretary besides
- 24:38Jaylen Ramsey is really crap, by the way.
- 24:41Jaylen Ramsey was. Besides, a Hall of Fame corner
- 24:44is crap. He wasn't playing him.
- 24:46They were moving them all over the field to keep them away from
- 24:48Jaylen Ramsey and the Saints and the Saints secretary.
- 24:52Crap. Who's he playing again now?
- 24:54He's playing Arizona. Wait until he plays the
- 24:56Buccaneers. Wait until he plays Jacksonville
- 24:58Stakes, Houston secondaries. I mean, he's playing garbage.
- 25:03They're playing garbage. Wait till he plays Washington.
- 25:06That's a pretty good secondary. And he plays Tampa when he plays
- 25:10a decent secretary. He hasn't played nothing.
- 25:12He hasn't played a good gets a good secretary yet.
- 25:15He's a good player. I'm not taking it away that
- 25:17Najiba is a good player. He played for Ohio State.
- 25:21He comes from a very good college.
- 25:23They always get, they always address that.
- 25:24They get good wide receivers. You could go up and down.
- 25:27Got Wilson Harrison junior I mean we hope he's going to be a
- 25:31good one. I I mean usually these Ohio
- 25:33State's Ohio statewide receivers are great.
- 25:36I just you got to cool down here.
- 25:39He hasn't played anything good yet.
- 25:41When he starts to play great corners and he puts up those
- 25:45numbers as we all know any Dimes has, then we can talk and you
- 25:50can argue and say that you were right, but this is garbage just
- 25:54playing Arizona. I I hope he's.
- 25:56Arizona is a better defense. They're going.
- 25:59To be Arizona, Arizona secondary is not good and he's going to
- 26:03they. Have a really good front 7.
- 26:05But their secondary is not good and he's going to be licking his
- 26:07lips next week because he's going to be able to run against
- 26:10that secondary so. Pull down.
- 26:13Well, I pull down. I mean, there, here, you're not
- 26:16gonna run against Arizona. They're gonna throw against
- 26:18Arizona. And the whole point of my best
- 26:20arrow. I know you're such a creep with
- 26:21the string cheese. You're you're like making it
- 26:24seem like it's like a sexual like thing.
- 26:26It's strange how you're like holding that.
- 26:29What the strange? I don't I like.
- 26:30String. It's like a like string, like
- 26:32something else. I like it so.
- 26:34I'm going to say I'm going to leave that topic alone and talk
- 26:37more about. What Jack?
- 26:38I like string cheese Jigba everybody likes.
- 26:40That you're weird about string. Cheese.
- 26:42What am I weird about? I like string cheese.
- 26:44I like to eat it. What is so weird about that?
- 26:48I don't get it. Who?
- 26:49Takes a fork and knife to string cheese.
- 26:51I didn't. How did I use a?
- 26:53Serial killer. Cut it in half.
- 26:55You're the one who did that. I did not use a fork in knife.
- 26:59OK. And then play with it like like,
- 27:02you're fine. Wait a second.
- 27:03I cut it in half and I was eating it.
- 27:05What the hell was I playing with?
- 27:07I was chewing on it. How am I playing with it?
- 27:09What do you want me to do? Stick it up my rear end?
- 27:12What the hell is wrong with you? Serial killer?
- 27:15No. You always want to do something
- 27:16like that though. I ate it.
- 27:18That's. What I'm saying?
- 27:19OK, about cheese, you eat string.
- 27:20Cheese, I said Jackson Smith and jigs is going to be a top five
- 27:24PPRY and I. Descend.
- 27:26I think I'm looking pretty good on that bet.
- 27:29Pretty good on that bet. Errol, I'm giving you a chance
- 27:33to back out right now because he might be top three.
- 27:37All right, we've heard it here again.
- 27:40This is the remix is a segment we.
- 27:41Will I do not know at times. In this fall, let's move on to
- 27:46the final story is I don't think we actually might have one more
- 27:48after this. Let's see.
- 27:50Oh, no, this is the last one, Errol.
- 27:52Here it is, Belichick loving life, losing games.
- 27:58This is the sideline before the game.
- 28:01I don't have a story, Errol. I just have this little video of
- 28:04her in the short short skirt and him just basically saying I love
- 28:10this more than football. They lost 34 to 9 to UCF.
- 28:15This is what retirement is for Bill Belichick.
- 28:18It's delicious. Right, they were just two and
- 28:21two by the way, UNC, they beat 2 nobodies and lost horribly to
- 28:25teams that actually were halfway decent.
- 28:29Well, that looks delicious for him.
- 28:31Obviously a lot of kissy kissy and huggy huggy and hopefully
- 28:35bangy bangy. Where's the Viagra pill when you
- 28:37need them? Honestly, I could care less what
- 28:41North Carolina is doing. We all know what his old dirty
- 28:44ways are thinking after and before the game.
- 28:47It's getting in that sack and playing happy Sandbag with her.
- 28:52I mean, honestly, his sandbag is probably dangling from, you
- 28:56know, from the floor. I don't know what the hell is
- 28:59Sandbag looks like, but she definitely knows.
- 29:02I, I, I honestly could care less what North Carolina is doing.
- 29:05I just like looking at what she's doing.
- 29:08I mean, I don't want to hear what she has to say.
- 29:10Honestly. She thinks she knows football.
- 29:12She opens her mouth. She's the voice of reason, even
- 29:15though she's the voice of the voice of ass.
- 29:18That's about it. Shake it, bake it, wear those
- 29:21high heels, wear those leg warmers and make sure that you
- 29:25know that you're not wearing any underwear.
- 29:26That's all I got to say. I mean, yeah, that's that's the
- 29:28main thing. Honestly, who really cares?
- 29:30Another TOE job. North Carolina has shown to be
- 29:33not a great team this year. I know it's very early into the
- 29:36season, but however is they're not going anywhere.
- 29:39They're not going anywhere. They're 200 talented.
- 29:41Bill Belichick is the only highlight of it.
- 29:43And if we're putting up points like this or games like this,
- 29:46it's not very much of A highlight.
- 29:47So it's cool stories to look at. You know what Bill Belichick and
- 29:51his 20 something year old girlfriend are doing on the
- 29:53sideline. But this team is pathetic right
- 29:54now. I'll let you lick my butt.
- 29:58Well, there you have it, another great addition.
- 30:01Of dial it up. All right, ladies and gentlemen,
- 30:08King of the hell. And here's the King of the Hill.
- 30:12This, Bobby, is the Beltline. You never ever hit below that.
- 30:16Not that kind of king of the hill, you dumb.
- 30:20This is King of the Hill. Made my nipples all.
- 30:24Right, guys, here we are, the last segment of the night.
- 30:28Once again, it's time for. King of the Hill.
- 30:33This is a sports trivia competition game where you will
- 30:37have a chance to take on last week's king.
- 30:40Is Errol Marx being the king the most tenured king in this game?
- 30:43The way it works is we got 3 rounds.
- 30:45Everyone's in round one in peasant fight.
- 30:47There'll be a topic you will debate and have three chances to
- 30:50put out your your picks and Arrow will decide of those 4
- 30:54competitors who will be moving on to the joust of Square off
- 30:59for a chance to take on the King in round 3 where everyone who
- 31:02lost will have a chance to vote democratically to vote out the
- 31:07King. Are you boys ready to play
- 31:09tonight's? King of the Hill.
- 31:14All right, we got the music going.
- 31:15Here it is. We've been doing this every
- 31:17week. Round 1 is going to stay in the
- 31:20peasant mode of the best performances of Week 3 of the
- 31:252025 NFL season. So guys, we talked about it all
- 31:29night. We did the whip around, we
- 31:31covered the main stories. Who again, doesn't have to be
- 31:34players, could be also coaches, could be owners, could be Jordan
- 31:39Hudson for all I care, who had the best performance in Week 3.
- 31:46So here we are. We're going to get it set up and
- 31:49we'll start off. We'll go because it's Rosh
- 31:53Hashanah. Well, Shana Tovai everybody.
- 31:55We'll go right to left, starting with Speedy going to Tommy Jabba
- 32:00and then Goody for two. Well, I might as well.
- 32:02Speedy. I might as well steal the
- 32:04obvious one, the one I did for my stat, Isaiah Rodgers.
- 32:07Like it's pretty hard not to. Not him, not there when he had
- 32:10all these defensive touchdowns to 65 and 85 yard runs to go
- 32:15along with three 3/4 turnovers against, again, a Bengals team
- 32:19with a backup quarterback. Fine, but he's forcing fumbles
- 32:22against good wide receivers still covering the ball very
- 32:24well. Only allowed two catch 1 catch
- 32:26for two yards to go along with record setting turnovers on the
- 32:291st 99.9 BFF grade. I think the hassle take the cake
- 32:32this week. Yeah, I missed that one, Speedy.
- 32:36That was I was, I was texting you when it was going.
- 32:38I couldn't believe it. What an unbelievable
- 32:40performance. Had a crazy pass deflection in
- 32:43the end zone and another forced fumble.
- 32:45Did you has anybody looked at Derrick Henry's grills?
- 32:47I mean, seriously, he's got all gold cold teeth in his mouth
- 32:52when he's putting. I'm like, what the hell is that?
- 32:54Those are grills. It's crazy.
- 32:56How does? He care what it is.
- 32:58I ain't messing with that dude. I'm just saying, how do you play
- 33:01with grills in your mouth? He knows a choke on those
- 33:03things. They're no they're made for your
- 33:06teeth. They're like Invisaligns.
- 33:08I know, but they get loose, especially if you get hit like
- 33:11that, right? I don't.
- 33:12Think so? No, they're made for your teeth.
- 33:15I mean, are you getting middle of the mall grills we're talking
- 33:18about like Paul Wall grills? Spencer gifts grills, Are you
- 33:21talking about 45,000 at top, another 50 at the bottom?
- 33:25Is that what you're talking about?
- 33:26Those type of grills. This makes my pecker hard.
- 33:33All right, let's keep going. Tommy All right, I'm going.
- 33:35To go with one of the better running backs over this past
- 33:37week, I'm going to go with a guy who's sort of going into the
- 33:39season was sort of under appreciate.
- 33:41I'm going Mr. Jonathan Taylor only because you know, of course
- 33:45we have Derrick Henry, Saquon Barkley and Bijon Robinson as
- 33:48the best running backs going into the season.
- 33:50Jonathan Taylor has been on an absolute tear for an amazing
- 33:53Colts team that really has been finding their footing amazingly
- 33:56recently. Jonathan Taylor of course,
- 33:58arrows up here doing the Danny Dimes.
- 34:00But other than that, of course like like Danny Dimes, Jonathan
- 34:03Taylor has been a very good Robin to Danny Dimes. 3 rushing
- 34:07touchdowns and really an explosive game against the
- 34:10Broncos and an amazing defense. So I'm going to go with Jonathan
- 34:12Taylor. You just called Jonathan Taylor.
- 34:15Robin to Danny Dimes. Yeah.
- 34:17My God, this is this show. Must have been off the handle
- 34:19before I got here. Jabba.
- 34:25I'm going to stay in the running back and I'm going to go Jordan
- 34:27Mason obviously being able to step up with Aaron Jones and a
- 34:31hammy and Carson Wentz obviously coming in, just not knowing and,
- 34:36you know, comes in and makes the most of his opportunity.
- 34:40You know, couple teddies and over 100 yards.
- 34:43Hopefully you pick them up because I don't think he was on
- 34:46a bunch of people's radar. But yeah, just to come in,
- 34:49especially in that situation, no one gets an opportunity and got
- 34:53to make the most of it because you never know what's going to
- 34:54happen. But guy, when Aaron Jones comes
- 34:57back now, he has a valuable quantity.
- 34:59So Jordan Mason for me. Good luck on Jordan Mason
- 35:02finding the guys that are going to get hurt in front of him two
- 35:05years in a row to get some playing time.
- 35:07You know, pretty lucky. But I like Jordan Mason.
- 35:09Actually, I like him. A lot.
- 35:11Pretty good player, Goody. For two.
- 35:14I'm going to go with wide receiver Las Vegas Trey Tucker.
- 35:24He had the most fantasy points this year so I hope you guys had
- 35:27him on your roster of the game of this week.
- 35:31Caught 8 passes at 145 yards and three cuties leading all the
- 35:36fantasy footballers. And.
- 35:39Points. I think he scored around 40
- 35:41something points or something like that.
- 35:43So I have yourself a game kid and then I'm going to go with
- 35:47one of my favorite quarterbacks, Jalen Hurts.
- 35:51I mean, Jalen Hurts is an absolute, what can we say?
- 35:55But he actually had a really good breakout game.
- 35:58He had 30 fantasy football, 23 for 266 yards, but he had three
- 36:04tutties, little Russian touchdown, you know, and not to
- 36:10mention he came back against the Rams in in comeback time.
- 36:13So hey, we're going to we're going to golf.
- 36:16Clap for Jalen Hurts and Trey Tux.
- 36:20Yeah, it wasn't the the two block field goals or anything.
- 36:24Java. I'm going to do come back Week
- 36:303. Obviously, you know, A.J.
- 36:32Brown, his first two weeks were not great as Errol touched on
- 36:35early. But then to come back and, you
- 36:38know, get basically double the amount of catches and yards in
- 36:42in one game. And you know, obviously getting
- 36:45getting that back to you. And then you got Devante Smith
- 36:48to where you can kind of get freed up and, you know, gets
- 36:51gets over 100 yards and and gets back to where he wants wants to
- 36:55be. And obviously in that in that
- 36:56game with the Eagles and the back and forth and there's a lot
- 36:59of stuff going on in that game, But A.J.
- 37:01Brown was huge for them and in the confidence.
- 37:03So I'm going to go to Bounce Back Week 3 for A.J.
- 37:05Brown. Dummy.
- 37:08So Jabba took my pick. I was going to go with Mr. A.J.
- 37:10Brown. I'm going to honestly say I'm
- 37:13going to see if I can do this. Mr. David Montgomery going on
- 37:16right now with the Lions. David Montgomery's actually
- 37:18having a really good game right now, having 117 yards on 10
- 37:22carries and one touchdown right now, keeping himself ahead and
- 37:26the Lions ahead of the Baltimore Ravens, a team that of course is
- 37:30very heavily favored to even go to the Super Bowl this season.
- 37:33Of course, the Lions being a heavy favorite too.
- 37:35But David Montgomery right now is killing it in the backfield,
- 37:38of course, has more purpose yards than Mr. Derrick Henry
- 37:40himself. So I'm going David Montgomery.
- 37:44All right. Speedy for two.
- 37:46All right, I'll start off with staying in that Eagles Rams game
- 37:49on the losing side. But it's Puka Nuku 11 catches,
- 37:52112 yards in against that level of a secondary with Mitchell and
- 37:55Dejean and all the young talent that they have.
- 37:57And Puka was still able to get open, get get a lot of
- 38:00separation a lot of those rounds, especially in the 2nd
- 38:02and the third quarter. So he gets my first one of the
- 38:04remaining set and I'll go with a a veteran guy for the last one.
- 38:06Bobby Wagner having a very strong Game 2 sacks, which again
- 38:10at this point is not really known as much of A pass rush.
- 38:12It really actually wasn't even in his peak either, but 11 total
- 38:15tackles and had to deal with a lot against Ashton Genti
- 38:18guarding the middle a lot of the time in that offensive line.
- 38:20So I'll have him round out mine as a veteran linebacker.
- 38:25All right, chubby. All right, so actually kind of
- 38:28like sort of piggybacking off of what Speedy said, but nobody's
- 38:31gone with a coach yet. I know we can go to coach
- 38:33performances, but I'm going to say Mr. Dan Quinn and the
- 38:36Washington Commanders kind of out coaching Dan Quinn, out
- 38:39coaching his former mentor Pete Carroll and the Las Vegas
- 38:43Raiders, of course, they just put an absolute clinic on the
- 38:46board with 44 with 40 plus points over there in that
- 38:49absolute blowout over the Raiders.
- 38:51Like Speedy said, you got Bobby Wagner working in, you got
- 38:54Marcus Mariota who is filling in of course for injured Jason
- 38:57Jayden Daniels and absolutely did what he needed to do Terry
- 39:00Mclaurin absolutely had a great game and defensively and
- 39:03offensively on the ball the team did what they needed to do.
- 39:06So I got to give a lot of credit to Jan Quinn and his coaching
- 39:08staff for that one. They absolutely put on on a
- 39:10phenomenal game. Like I said and absolutely like
- 39:13I said, he, him and his coaching staff absolutely out coached his
- 39:16mentor. So give me Dan Quinn's
- 39:18performance as a coach this past week.
- 39:21Hey, hey, let's let's not forget freaking Scatterbo.
- 39:25Oh. Hold up, we're we?
- 39:27Jabba goes before you and I want to hear everything I have to say
- 39:30about Cam Scatterbo though. OK, well.
- 39:33Jabba, Jabba. Pam Scatterbo Oh no, no, I'm
- 39:40actually going to take the the charges of Marion Hampton.
- 39:44I I, for me, it's like it's when a guy goes out, you get an
- 39:48opportunity. I think Najee Harris went out.
- 39:50Was it early or close to halftime in the first half, I
- 39:52believe and come in and I just to be able to be a dual threat
- 39:58out of the back and, and no, I think he ended up with maybe
- 40:01over 20 touches and like 100 and some yards.
- 40:05Obviously be able to be a dual threat with Herbert and you know
- 40:09one of those guys that. To step up when somebody gets
- 40:11hurt. So and and not a huge name.
- 40:13So I was I was impressed. So I'm going to go with the
- 40:16Martin Hampton. I'm good, he rounded out.
- 40:19Yeah, I'm going with Cam scouted ball.
- 40:21I didn't watch too many NFL games this this week, but I did
- 40:25watch him run his first run in the NFL and it was very
- 40:28impressive bouncing off a couple defenders and then taking it to
- 40:32the for a first down. He had 10 carries, which that
- 40:35led the team. He had 60 rushing yards which
- 40:37that led the team and they have a really good Tyrone.
- 40:43Is it Tyrone Lacy or Tyrone? Tracy, he got hurt in the game.
- 40:47That's why Scatterboat came in. Yeah, so Tracy, I had a Moth
- 40:49fantasy team last year. I thought he was fantastic.
- 40:52But Scatterboat came in and I saw how this guy ran the
- 40:54football and it was just a different, it was on a different
- 40:56level. They had a rushing TD8 targets,
- 40:596 receptions, 61 yards receiving yards.
- 41:02He leads all of the rookies running backs on rushing TV's
- 41:06this season and he's arguably been one of the best running
- 41:10backs in the the pass so far this season.
- 41:16Now we're only you know, we're into the young season, but I
- 41:19really like what I'm seeing out of this guy.
- 41:21Hard nosed player. I liked when I saw him at
- 41:23Arizona State too. He was pretty good and I can't
- 41:27he wasn't a first rounder. What was he like 1/4 rounder?
- 41:294th 4th round pick. Yeah, fourth round pick and he's
- 41:33starting and he's an absolute menace on the field.
- 41:35I like I mean. Self self-proclaimed he should
- 41:37have won the Heisman. Well, yeah, he struck the.
- 41:41Heisman Remember he struck the Heisman pose in the in the bowl
- 41:43game. I remember there's some like
- 41:46sort of something around him, but dude, I didn't like, I
- 41:49watched him a little bit Arizona State, but I watched him the
- 41:51other night and I'm like, I was going to text you fish and be
- 41:54like, yo, you got a good one, but.
- 41:56That bowl game with Arizona State was the best game, like in
- 41:59the whole entire playoffs in my opinion.
- 42:03Yeah, no, he was a stud in in college and it looks like the
- 42:06Giants got a steal in the. 4th oh he got rocked, he got rocked.
- 42:11I saw him hit his head in the back on the field and got up and
- 42:13get a couple shakes. Definitely concussed, maybe
- 42:16minor concussion and stayed in the game.
- 42:18Ran it back up again. I'm like.
- 42:19He's like, yeah, it's like, yeah, next play.
- 42:22Yeah. Exactly.
- 42:24All right, Errol, that's the round.
- 42:26Who's moving on? To the joust, all right.
- 42:29I didn't like Scatterbo. I disagree.
- 42:32I would not put his Scatterbo in my top three.
- 42:34Hey, that's a 6060 thing. And then I ended up on.
- 42:37That I'm going to go with Jabba and speech.
- 42:40Man, all right, let's. Win.
- 42:43Set up for the joust. He tastes.
- 42:45Himself. You think I picked Scatabo?
- 42:47Why do you think I wanted to pick Daniel Jones?
- 42:50But I definitely wasn't going. To all right, so here it is, the
- 42:55joust Round 2 best lefty quarterbacks of all time.
- 43:01We were talking about best lefty pitcher of all time.
- 43:04I thought it would be good to also bring it to football.
- 43:08So there's a whole bunch of great ones.
- 43:11I know some of my favorites are lefty quarterbacks, some of the
- 43:15more infamous as well, perhaps lefty quarterbacks.
- 43:19So let's see what you guys got for best lefty QBs.
- 43:23Of. All time Errol, Who's going
- 43:26first? I'll go speed.
- 43:31All right. I'll start it off with a guy
- 43:33that kind of gets underappreciated.
- 43:35I think the in the 70s too, but with one of the more elusive
- 43:38quarterbacks. Not a heavy runner, but it got a
- 43:40guy that was tough to take down and that was Ken the snake
- 43:42stabler guy that was 70s the Raiders teams with Fred
- 43:46Blatnikoff as his wide receiver. Dave Casper, who I think I've
- 43:48used in other king of the hills with the with the tight ends in
- 43:51the past on that John Madden Raiders team.
- 43:54A guy that was very hard to take down with with again, 212 Super
- 43:58Bowls and was one of the better quarterbacks of his era.
- 44:01That doesn't get enough appreciation.
- 44:03Kenny Stabler. Good thing.
- 44:05Java. I'm going to go Steve Young as a
- 44:09as a Niners fan growing up, not because any reason other than
- 44:14the fact that we had Nebraska guys on there, but then you keep
- 44:18watching them and there's always something weird.
- 44:20I've always because I'm left-handed and half the things
- 44:22I do and right-handed and other things I'm amphibious as they
- 44:25call them. But no, just I for being an
- 44:30undersized guy, good sneaky runner, you know, playing as
- 44:34long as he did. And just there's just something
- 44:36about him that I just loved watching and his numbers speak
- 44:39for himself. So I'm going to go Stevie Young.
- 44:42All right, let's. I don't know what just happened
- 44:44with the camera angle. Let's put it back.
- 44:46There you go. Speedy.
- 44:48All right, I got Michael Vick for the next one, one of the
- 44:50most electric runners his time again, it wasn't the same way
- 44:54the thrower, the same way that a lot of these other running
- 44:56quarterbacks. We talked about the dual threat
- 44:57quarterbacks in the past, but his peak years with the Falcons,
- 45:00he had very elusive speed, still could throw big arm type guy.
- 45:03And then with the Eagles too, kind of resurrected his career
- 45:05after what happened with him with the whole the whole dog
- 45:08fighting incident. So I'm going to go with Michael
- 45:10Vick. Michael Vick was, I don't know
- 45:12if you remember Errol, just the college Michael Vick.
- 45:15Oh, you can just watch those highlights and you should be
- 45:18like Oh my God. Virginia Tech Scariest things
- 45:20I've ever seen Virginia Tech. It was like completely
- 45:24unstoppable in college, Also pretty unstoppable in the pros.
- 45:28Obviously kind of his own worst enemy.
- 45:30Jabba. Man, I mean, there's this.
- 45:34We're getting picky here now. God dude I don't know does does?
- 45:42Is this just NFL or could they? Are we counting in college too?
- 45:45Is this? I, I mean, like, you're going to
- 45:47kind of have to pick an NFL guy if you're going to win like best
- 45:50of all time. Yeah.
- 45:52I mean, it's just there's not that more that many left.
- 45:58I will go probably you got Stabler.
- 46:02I'm going to go golly, I'm gonna go Tebow, just because I don't
- 46:11want to keep doing this Tebow. And he won one playoff game and
- 46:16he was actually pretty good. There's better guys than Tebow
- 46:19you could have picked from, so we got one more job.
- 46:22You're gonna have to dig deep, man.
- 46:24If you need to go to college, go to college.
- 46:26But you know, let's try to dig deep.
- 46:29Speeding. Yeah, actually, for now was the
- 46:30one I was going to take because I think for a guy that was on an
- 46:34expansion team with the Jacksonville Jaguars too, I
- 46:36mean, that was a lot more of a running team, obviously with
- 46:38Fred Taylor, and they had a very good offensive line.
- 46:41But you still need some level of a quarterback play in order to
- 46:43make that work. They made a couple AFC
- 46:45championship games to open their franchise existence.
- 46:47Didn't go to the Super Bowl. They lost to the Patriots once.
- 46:49They lost to Tennessee in that year, where they only lost the
- 46:51Tennessee Titans in 1999. But still, I think you look at
- 46:55somebody that impact on just growing that team and then with
- 46:57Washington, so even he was one of those cycles with Joe Gibbs
- 46:59when he had all those different quarterbacks and they made a
- 47:01couple playoff appearances with just really a rotation of the
- 47:03guy. So I'll I'll give him my last
- 47:05one. And Jabba.
- 47:09You know what, I will go Boomer a size and I think it he'd
- 47:15actually went Jordan Lorenzen. That's a good one too.
- 47:18His son's playing quarterback, actually.
- 47:20Now, if Boomer didn't play in the same era as like, Steve
- 47:25Young, I think he probably would have got a little bit more love.
- 47:30I think he even won an MVP, if I recall right, in like the late
- 47:3480s. Oh yeah, he did 80 I think.
- 47:38He was an MVP and then like, was he the went to the Super Bowl
- 47:41the next year? Super Bowl or something like
- 47:43that. Yeah.
- 47:45So yeah, Boomer size. All right, there it is, Errol,
- 47:48who's going on. To take on the king.
- 47:52I'll go speedy. All right, God has been thanked.
- 47:58Let's chat. Tipo will be.
- 48:01I mean, come on. Tiptino would wanted to thank
- 48:03God so that would make it that would all work out I.
- 48:05Can't I know that's why I did it.
- 48:07All tipo is nasty. All right, so we've got 4 voters
- 48:12over here. We got a tiebreaker backstage
- 48:16and in our intern, Jared, if he's still here.
- 48:19Yeah, there he is. So we'll see if it gets to it.
- 48:22But here it is. The final round for tonight.
- 48:26That's a good one. The final round.
- 48:30Here it is. Take on the king.
- 48:33And here's the category best defensive or special teams
- 48:37touchdowns of all time. What a wild week three it was
- 48:42for defensive and special teams touchdowns.
- 48:45I thought this would be a great topic to visit in this
- 48:49situation. Some historic plays.
- 48:52You know, throughout the history of the game you don't always
- 48:56talk about the defensive plays or the special teams plays, but
- 49:00they have just as much a part of the wins as always.
- 49:04So let's talk. Give them some love tonight.
- 49:06The best defense or special teams touchdowns of all time.
- 49:10Errol, do you want to go first or second?
- 49:15I'll go first, I'll go first. All right, Errol.
- 49:20I'm going to go, I'm going to go with Devin Hester because he's
- 49:24got multiple, multiple, unbelievable.
- 49:27I mean the 99 yards. Do you want to go, do you want
- 49:30to go with like the kickoff that started the Super Bowl?
- 49:34I was looking for like a specific 1 like.
- 49:35A famous, I'll go with Devin history the the kickoff with the
- 49:38Super Bowl. I that's the one I will go with.
- 49:40I mean, that was pretty amazing. So I'm going with Devin Hester.
- 49:43I'll stay in the stay in the Super Bowl.
- 49:45I'll go with James Harrison, his fumble return against the
- 49:47Cardinals in the Super Bowl, against interception return, I
- 49:51should say against the against the Cardinals in the Super Bowl.
- 49:54Kurt Warner throwing, trying to throw a slant on the goal line
- 49:57right there could have given the lead at that time.
- 49:59And James Harrison. James Harrison not being a
- 50:00coverage linebacker too made that even more impressive.
- 50:03Running back had to break a couple tackles to do it.
- 50:07All right, Errol. All right, I'm going to go with
- 50:11Rod Woodson. That's what I would go in 2000.
- 50:16I remember the AFC championship game, the 494949 yard
- 50:21interception return touchdown against the 2000 Yes Raid 2000
- 50:27Raiders. So I'm going to go with that
- 50:28one. That was a good one.
- 50:31I think I. Can remember that one all right,
- 50:33Speedy? All right, I'm going to go with
- 50:34I'll go with Dexter or Dwight Smith, I should say, not Dexter
- 50:37Jackson. Dwight Smith had the had the 2
- 50:40two intercept 2IN1 game interception, return for a
- 50:42touchdown. Dexter Jackson I think had the
- 50:43other one too. I think he was named Super Bowl
- 50:44MVP. But Dwight Smith was the one who
- 50:46had two of them in that same game.
- 50:48A3 defensive touchdown performance for that that
- 50:51Buccaneers John Gruden against his former team in the Raiders
- 50:54to get revenge. So I'll go with him.
- 50:57All right. Last ones, Errol.
- 51:00Well, I'm going to go. I'm going to go with this week.
- 51:03I have to go with Jordan Davis. I mean, think about it this way.
- 51:07A 336 pounder blocking a field goal and running it all the way
- 51:15in for the raft. I mean, an absolute beast of a
- 51:18man. I mean, it was unbelievable.
- 51:21So I'm going to go with Jordan Davis.
- 51:24And to round it out, Speedy. I'll finish it off with one
- 51:27regular season one too, and that was the a very young Antonio
- 51:31Cromartie in the literally the back of the end zone.
- 51:34It was a missed field goal by the Vikings and I believe it was
- 51:38Cromartie's rookie year in 2006 or 2007.
- 51:40It fells just short. He he has his foot like right on
- 51:43the heel of the end zone, practically 11111 yards and he
- 51:47returns it all the way back right at the end of the half.
- 51:49Had to break, like I had to break a couple tackles to do it.
- 51:52That that you're going almost on the goal post catching that
- 51:55ball. It's very impressive to do.
- 51:57You haven't seen many things like it since that even like a
- 51:59shorter distance. You've seen in college a lot
- 52:01more than the pro. So I'm gonna go with him to
- 52:03round it, even though it's a regular season.
- 52:05Game. On this freaking thing.
- 52:08All right, so those are the selections.
- 52:11I'm going to vote first and I'm going to go with Speedy tonight.
- 52:15I really liked Speedy's picks, especially that last one.
- 52:18Although Speedy, I'm pretty sure 111 yards is impossible with the
- 52:21end zone being only 100 yards, field being 100.
- 52:24So, well, 120 on the field, but you don't count the other end
- 52:27zone, right? It adds up for.
- 52:29That don't think that's what it was.
- 52:30I think it was 109 speedy, but it was. 109.88.
- 52:34Yeah, it was like the longest return of anything that's ever
- 52:37happened. I remember that vividly as well
- 52:41and I thought you won this one tonight.
- 52:42So let's that's my pick. Let's go to Nick Goody.
- 52:48You guys forgot Malcolm Butler intercepting Russell Wilson and.
- 52:51That wasn't. A touchdown.
- 52:52Yeah, there were a whole bunch of guys left on the table.
- 52:54I would have 100%. Goody, that wasn't a touchdown,
- 52:56he said. Touchdowns.
- 52:57Yeah, yeah, I'm sorry, I'm sorry.
- 52:59Defensive touchdown. Yeah, I.
- 53:00Had a touchdown. Touchdown.
- 53:02I was gonna say there were a handful of famous ones by Deion
- 53:06Sanders that I thought could have been talked about on this
- 53:10one is. Ed.
- 53:11Reed, Ed. Reed with the laterals is
- 53:14another guy that I would consider.
- 53:16I would have also brought up the Music City Miracle as a special
- 53:20teams play. I, you know, it's the second
- 53:23time that we've had a chance to use it.
- 53:24I think that's the greatest special teams play of all time.
- 53:27The home run throwback by Frank Wycheck, which was technically a
- 53:30lateral by like the slimmest of margins allegedly.
- 53:33Some people don't believe it's still, but those were the picks.
- 53:37Goody, who you going with? Of the two of them?
- 53:39I'm going to lose. You're going with Speedy.
- 53:41All right, We're going to move on to Jabba Chamberlain.
- 53:45It's 2O Speedy right now. Speedy.
- 53:51Just do you want to give a reason for your vote, or would
- 53:54you like to abstain courteously like New York did in 1776?
- 53:59I plead the 5th. That's more what's going on in
- 54:032025, actually. But Tommy?
- 54:06I know I live in the present fish.
- 54:08Oh. Time travel doesn't exist Java
- 54:11you. Gotta be I don't know unless.
- 54:13You're Matt Groening from The Simpsons.
- 54:15That's clinched it. But Tommy, give us your vote.
- 54:18I like girls picks. Girls picks were definitely a
- 54:20lot, you know, thought out. I definitely do think he knows.
- 54:23You know, those were great picks overall.
- 54:26But your nose is already brown. I gotta go with.
- 54:29I gotta go with. Speedy shut up, John.
- 54:31Second job. But you will never pick me.
- 54:33So everybody knew you were going Speedy and honestly, I could
- 54:37care less. I'm I'm more worried about
- 54:39losing this fantasy. You know, that's why you got to
- 54:41win those swing voters over, man.
- 54:43You know it's. Shut up, fish the man, Shut up,
- 54:45fish your and. Tonight, the winner of King and
- 54:48Hill. And Moo King is speedy PD.
- 54:54Congrats Speedy. Is this your first time with the
- 54:56crowd? So.
- 54:56I think. So yeah, man, this is great.
- 54:59Everybody give a round of applause.
- 55:01Long live the king. Good Fisher it is.
- 55:05Would be a good sport about that.
- 55:08Really appreciate you. It's hard to be a bad sport when
- 55:10you're rocking purple and gold, baby.
- 55:11Right, that was my reward. I want to hear goodies.
- 55:14Time travel theory. Goodie.
- 55:19So you go 88 miles an hour, you get the flux capacitor.
- 55:22Going you know, my mom asked me one time what I want for
- 55:26Christmas and I sent her the flux capacitor and she looked it
- 55:29up and she's like, I can't find this anywhere.
- 55:32I'm like it's I gave you the link, buy it for me.
- 55:36I'd take the DeLorean even if it didn't have the flux capacitor
- 55:39in it. Delorean's dope.
- 55:41Never know dude, never know. But Tesla was onto something.
- 55:45So are the Nazis. OK, all right, Goody's done.
- 55:51You know, Goody's supposed to still give me some compliments
- 55:53there. You know I won save.
- 55:54Your tears. Oh, so Tommy poops won.
- 55:57Save your tears. You came in third.
- 56:00Goody. So you, you owe Tommy some
- 56:04compliments. 51% genuine. Let me start the music again.
- 56:08Hold on over. Here, the first time Tommy's won
- 56:12should be said. Well, you know, this past
- 56:17December, I got to know Tommy Scoops prior, and after we left
- 56:23New Orleans, he's now known as Tommy Poops.
- 56:28I've never met somebody who blows through so many bottles of
- 56:33cream rinse in the shower. It's actually impressive.
- 56:37His hands are silky smooth. There's not a callus on them.
- 56:41They're beautiful. The best I've ever seen,
- 56:43actually. Never seen anything better than
- 56:45that. His hair is thinning for 25, but
- 56:49it's still luscious and long. His nose is brown as ever.
- 56:54I've never, there's never been a never, never been a browner nose
- 56:58in the league. Not one.
- 57:02And man, he can take the smelliest of the smells when he
- 57:06leaves the bathroom. It's quite impressive and
- 57:09honestly, you take that as a compliment.
- 57:11He can eat whatever he wants and it just flows right through him.
- 57:16Liquid magma. It's it's amazing.
- 57:19Congratulations on your win. Your teeth are white.
- 57:22It's fantastic. I don't know what you got going
- 57:25on with your nut duster there on your chin, but that's cool too.
- 57:28I guess your hair. It looks like you got cubes on
- 57:30your face, but it's all good. You'll grow into it.
- 57:33We love you is. This compliments like is this
