Latest / The Facts with Jamal 🇺🇸🦅👊 / The ‘Friday Wrap Up’. 3 topics from this week explained.
Transcript
- 0:01Alright, so it's the end of the week, a very long weekend at
- 0:07that 'cause it's Labor Day weekend.
- 0:10So now it's time for the Friday wrap.
- 0:17So in five topics or less throughout the week, I explain
- 0:25either some of the most outlandish things by people,
- 0:31things that happened this week that make you go really, and
- 0:37even a couple of head scratchers.
- 0:42So with that, let's begin with #3 why is it that every time we
- 0:59live in a society kind of like this one, that if you even
- 1:04consider holding anybody, you know, if you're a parent, that's
- 1:11children accountable. If you're even, let's say, law
- 1:16enforcement officers or, you know, district attorneys,
- 1:20prosecutors, what have you try to hold those who commit crimes
- 1:25accountable. If you are a person who
- 1:30essentially does the right thing, you are in a lot of ways
- 1:38someone that should be scorned, crucified and humiliated.
- 1:47I mean, has it really gotten to a point now where one's doing
- 1:53the right things in this world has essentially been frowned
- 1:56upon? And not surprising?
- 2:00I am referring to Ben Johnson's ridiculous comments.
- 2:05The idiot man from Chicago. Well, once again, he had made
- 2:11headlines essentially saying that look, despite the crime
- 2:16numbers rising in his city, he doesn't feel the need that
- 2:21holding mostly teenagers accountable for solving because
- 2:27in his mind, he doesn't believe that presence or, you know,
- 2:36jails or whatever long distance sentences is going to help.
- 2:43And you see why I have no respect for those kinds of
- 2:47people because what's to say for the sake of argument, if if one
- 2:57of his children had gotten in some serious legal issues of the
- 3:03wrong, how do you think he won't react?
- 3:08Well, First off, he probably wouldn't even have a reaction
- 3:12because again, since he's a person that holds of office,
- 3:17particularly as a mayor, I'm sure he will find some way for
- 3:23his children to escape accountability.
- 3:26But then again, you can kind of tie that to the overall black
- 3:31community Part 2 weeks. Look, all I'm gonna say as far
- 3:37as him and it's not just him, it's good handful of others
- 3:43where holding those accountable for even the smallest thing or
- 3:52essentially the attachment to them in that you essentially are
- 3:59robbing those particularly kids and teens who if they don't
- 4:05learn accountability now that they never will fully understand
- 4:10their life. But you know what, that's
- 4:15actually fine. You wanna know why 'cause a lot
- 4:20of good handful of them try to think they can get away with a
- 4:23lot of things. I mean how to sit back happily
- 4:30and watch their ignorance be on full display to where eventually
- 4:37it's going to catch up to? But then again, we are talking
- 4:43about the same ones who have no issue blaming other races and
- 4:49groups of people for the Neverland problems in their
- 4:52community, but can't look at themselves and actually do
- 4:59better. So you figure out how that has
- 5:01worked for the black community. Alright, here is number 2.
- 5:17To me, it is almost kind of in the way acting poll to where
- 5:22society is right now, but it seems as though most Americans
- 5:32wake up each day looking for any reason to complain about their
- 5:38lives. Now mind you, next Friday
- 5:42exactly will mark 25 years since that fateful day of 911 and on
- 5:52that day and the day prior, September 10th.
- 6:01I will be on this podcast heavily, not so much as a
- 6:08reminder in the live ways, but more or less just like a, in a
- 6:13way tribute to Charlie Cook because it would mark one year
- 6:19since his unfortunate passing. And obviously I had touched on
- 6:24already 9/11, 25 years ago. I mean, think about it this way.
- 6:33If you are someone who wakes up every day, doesn't look for a
- 6:40reason, you know, be thankful for their life and just what's
- 6:45your smallest thing to complain about?
- 6:50To me, you actually should be embarrassed 'cause it's like,
- 6:54why are you waking up each day looking for any excuse to
- 6:59complain about something when there's a good portion of people
- 7:08in this world, especially the ones who have been gone from
- 7:14that fateful day almost 25 years ago, that are no longer here.
- 7:19So in a way, it's like a slap to the face to those lives that
- 7:24were lost 'cause it's like, how do you ultimately find a reason
- 7:30to complain about something when there are so many people who
- 7:37aren't here anymore that would be more than happy to actually
- 7:42take your place? I mean, is your life really that
- 7:47bad to where you have to ultimately wake up every day to
- 7:53complain about something? But it's like wow, again, the
- 8:04society we are in by now is pretty not surprising one bit.
- 8:11So that's why next Thursday and especially Friday will be a
- 8:18heavy filled episode topics as far as you know, not just only
- 8:25Charlie Kirk. It have 9/11 25 years later has
- 8:34changed America and not even for the better but for the worse.
- 8:41That's the reality. And finally, the number one
- 8:46topic on this Friday wrap up. So as far as today goes, and I'm
- 8:56sure you probably already heard if you haven't, so apparently
- 9:00the case in Massachusetts surrounding Lindsey Clancy, it
- 9:06ended a mistrial which I actually thought was going to
- 9:08have. Now just a couple of key points
- 9:11to highlight here. 11 jurors. All were on the not guilty side
- 9:20by reason of assent. Only one, one male juror decided
- 9:29not to go along with his contemporaries.
- 9:32He was a long holdout. He did not want to join them in
- 9:36fully not guilty by reason of his sanity.
- 9:42And not surprisingly, Clancy's defense attorney was ticked off.
- 9:48Not only did he essentially get into a shallow match with the
- 9:51judge, but it was essentially some words that were said that
- 9:59actually the judge gave Clancy's defense team one hour to
- 10:06essentially try and make the case as to a possible appeal and
- 10:12maybe a chance to have this whole case drawn out.
- 10:17By the time that hour came and went, nothing came about.
- 10:20And so the judge ultimately ended as a mistrust.
- 10:26Well, I can't say that I'm surprised about that.
- 10:33And obviously the fact that many of her supporters aren't even
- 10:38thinking about the children. And that's FYI, according to One
- 10:43American News and Fox News this case just because it end in a
- 10:49Mistral does not mean it's going as century be over.
- 10:55I just saw now that the 29th of this month.
- 11:01So this will be bought back. Now, whether or not this
- 11:06neutrally, you know, it's largely better than the 11
- 11:13people that have all decided to vote not guilty by reason of the
- 11:16sanity, you know, we'll see. But it's amazing to me how
- 11:21Clancy supporters don't even think about the three children
- 11:25whose logical laws, which I think is honestly pathetic, but
- 11:30a sign for you. But I do want to give credit,
- 11:36however, to the white guy that actually had the Gumson to not
- 11:42fall with the masses, because by him essentially saying, no, I'm
- 11:48not going to not only not fall not guilty by insanity, I
- 11:54believe she's guilty outright. Now, if you're a person that
- 12:00actually has that kind of mentality as far as not only
- 12:03standing up to the masses, but actually standing firm and what
- 12:08you believe in, you deserve a ton of credit because you
- 12:16essentially are not only holding your ground, but you are
- 12:20essentially sending the message. That and you can see the
- 12:25subsequent aftermath of many of these similar incidents
- 12:30happening now since this whole case happened.
- 12:33Unfortunately, you just serve to have a ton of credit if you're
- 12:38that male juror who didn't want to go along with everyone else.
- 12:43It shows a lot of courage, resilience and the four and two
- 12:48to not be aligned with everyone else.
- 12:51Absolute whoever that is 'cause we need more like.
- 12:57So that was the Friday wrap up. Come back next Friday for your
- 13:04more topics I have. But obviously as I mentioned
- 13:07before, the next week, particularly Thursday and five
- 13:13will be heavy lighting up. So.
- 13:15So stay tuned for that.
