Latest / Foul Territory / GM Territory: Jim Bowden's latest Trade Deadline reports
Transcript
- 0:05Speaker 1: Welcome back in everybody the GM territory. The trade deadline
- 0:09Speaker 1: is only ten days away, and we had our first
- 0:13Speaker 1: major move. Connie Early has been acquired by the Washington
- 0:17Speaker 1: Nationals and in return, the Boston Red Sox got Curtis
- 0:21Speaker 1: Mead Jim please break down this deal for us.
- 0:25Speaker 2: Well, first of all, I'll start with my trade grades
- 0:27Speaker 2: for each team. I give the Washington Nationals A and
- 0:31Speaker 2: I give the Boston Red Sox a B on this trade.
- 0:35Speaker 2: This is a phenomenal trade by the Washington Nationals. To
- 0:38Speaker 2: be able to get a left handed starting pitcher with
- 0:42Speaker 2: less than a year service time that they're going to
- 0:44Speaker 2: be able to control for the next six years is
- 0:46Speaker 2: just amazing to be able to pick him up. This
- 0:49Speaker 2: is a guy that's a middle of rotation type of starter.
- 0:52Speaker 2: He knows how to pitch, and of course Paul Devoni,
- 0:55Speaker 2: the general manager president of the Nationals, knows him from
- 0:58Speaker 2: his Red Sox days. So I thought, I thought Washington
- 1:01Speaker 2: did a really good job adding a starter of this magnitude.
- 1:04Speaker 2: On the other side, for the Red Sox, they filled
- 1:06Speaker 2: a huge need. They were looking for a right hand
- 1:09Speaker 2: hitting infielder that could play second and third base. Mead
- 1:12Speaker 2: can play both positions. They're going to start with him
- 1:14Speaker 2: at second base and leave Caleb Durbin at third, although
- 1:17Speaker 2: they might flip flop him. He's had his breakout year
- 1:20Speaker 2: with the Washington Nationals, has seventeen home runs at the
- 1:24Speaker 2: time of the trade, and all of them, by the way,
- 1:26Speaker 2: are on the pull side, which should bode really well
- 1:29Speaker 2: for playing half his games with the Green Monster at
- 1:33Speaker 2: Fenway Park. That should be huge for Hamrick. And look,
- 1:35Speaker 2: I've said this for a long time. It's not whether
- 1:38Speaker 2: you win or lose trades, it's whether you win or
- 1:42Speaker 2: lose championships. Right, this is a trade that I think
- 1:46Speaker 2: Washington is going to win in the long term. I do,
- 1:49Speaker 2: but I think this is a trade that's going to
- 1:51Speaker 2: give Boston a better chance to win. Ranger Suarez is
- 1:54Speaker 2: coming off the injured list at the same time they
- 1:56Speaker 2: make this trade, so Sorez takes an early spot in
- 1:59Speaker 2: the rotation and then me gives them the power beat
- 2:02Speaker 2: they were missing when they didn't re sign Alex Bregman,
- 2:06Speaker 2: and so you know, it fills a big need for them.
- 2:08Speaker 2: So although I think they lose the trade, I think
- 2:10Speaker 2: they improved their team at least for this year. Yeah.
- 2:14Speaker 2: The other question I have for me is is he
- 2:16Speaker 2: having a breakout year or is this a four month anomenally.
- 2:19Speaker 2: I mean, we don't know for sure. He doesn't have
- 2:21Speaker 2: a great track record going into this quick stint of
- 2:24Speaker 2: success that he's had with Washington, but he is twenty
- 2:26Speaker 2: five years old and that usually is the beginning of
- 2:29Speaker 2: your prime years. So this was a fascinating trade you
- 2:33Speaker 2: and I talked about on this show. We said, look,
- 2:35Speaker 2: there's probably going to be more contender to contender trades
- 2:38Speaker 2: than buyers to sellers. And that's exactly what we saw
- 2:41Speaker 2: with this trade, two contending teams making a deal with
- 2:45Speaker 2: each other to fill a big need.
- 2:47Speaker 1: Yeah, and it's interesting too see Meed go back to
- 2:49Speaker 1: the Al East. You know, that's where he kind of
- 2:51Speaker 1: started his career in Tampa. So it'll be exciting to
- 2:54Speaker 1: see how this trade pans out. But I'm with you,
- 2:57Speaker 1: I think Washington long term deal. All right, let's now
- 3:02Speaker 1: talk about some of the sellers here. Let's go to
- 3:04Speaker 1: the New York teams.
- 3:05Speaker 3: Here. I want to star with the Nets. We got
- 3:08Speaker 3: about eight guys on our list here.
- 3:10Speaker 1: I want to stew at Freddy Peralta Jim, what have
- 3:12Speaker 1: you heard regarding Peralta.
- 3:14Speaker 2: Well, first of all, let me start with saying this
- 3:17Speaker 2: trade deadline is going to be headlined by New York
- 3:19Speaker 2: New York? Baby, what do I mean by that? The
- 3:22Speaker 2: Mets I think are going to be the biggest sellers
- 3:24Speaker 2: at the deadline. I think the Yankees are going to
- 3:26Speaker 2: be the biggest buyers at the deadline. Oh, the two
- 3:30Speaker 2: big market New York teams owning the trained deadline? Are
- 3:34Speaker 2: you kidding me? This has a chance to have Mama
- 3:37Speaker 2: Drama and on the opposite ends of New York. Oh
- 3:40Speaker 2: my goodness, gracious, Okay, Paralta. Look, he's not pitch well
- 3:45Speaker 2: over the last six or seven starts, without a doubt.
- 3:48Speaker 2: The question is going to be, is there a continuing
- 3:50Speaker 2: team out there that thinks that if they trade for
- 3:53Speaker 2: him they can make some adjustments. Will their pitching room
- 3:57Speaker 2: find ways to get Paralta to be the was a
- 4:00Speaker 2: year ago when he was at one point the number
- 4:03Speaker 2: one starter on the Brewers. Right now he looks more
- 4:06Speaker 2: like a fourth or fifth starter. So I think anyone
- 4:09Speaker 2: that trades for him is going to be looking for
- 4:12Speaker 2: ways at they're pitching room or their analytic people or
- 4:15Speaker 2: their technicians or video people know of a way to
- 4:18Speaker 2: get him back pitching like he did for Milwaukee. I
- 4:21Speaker 2: do think he gets traded, though, and then I think
- 4:24Speaker 2: when you look at the rest of the Mets, look,
- 4:25Speaker 2: they do have a lot to trade, most of it
- 4:28Speaker 2: in the bullpen, but they also have clay homes, and
- 4:31Speaker 2: I'm being told that most contending teams, like the Chicago
- 4:35Speaker 2: White Sox, like the Chicago Cubs, like the Saint Louis Cardinals,
- 4:39Speaker 2: have more interest in clay homes than they do in
- 4:42Speaker 2: Freddie Peralta. He is coming off the injured list here.
- 4:46Speaker 2: He does have a preference that he would like to
- 4:48Speaker 2: stay with the Mets and get an extension, but there
- 4:51Speaker 2: have not been any serious talks to extend him that. Therefore,
- 4:57Speaker 2: I think it is likely even more likely than Home
- 5:00Speaker 2: gets dealt before Peralta gets dealt. So it's gonna be
- 5:03Speaker 2: fun to watch. Let's go to the bullpen for a minute.
- 5:06Speaker 2: Everybody's talking about all the bullpen arms that the Mets
- 5:09Speaker 2: have to offer. Luke Weaver is the guy that most
- 5:12Speaker 2: teams aren't chasing because he is not a rental. He
- 5:16Speaker 2: is controllable through next year. People like him because his
- 5:19Speaker 2: arm bounces back extremely well, can pitch back to back knights,
- 5:22Speaker 2: also can go multiple innings, can also close if you
- 5:26Speaker 2: need a closer. So Luke Weaver is a guy, but
- 5:29Speaker 2: they have a bunch of other guys in that bullpen
- 5:31Speaker 2: as well. Aj Minter another left handed pitcher here that
- 5:35Speaker 2: is having a great season. You know how every contending
- 5:39Speaker 2: teams need left hand relievers for the playoffs and October.
- 5:42Speaker 2: So we talked about Peralta and Holmes, We've talked about Mint,
- 5:47Speaker 2: We've talked about we didn't talk about Raley Brooks. Raley
- 5:52Speaker 2: is another guy. Lewis Robert, right hand hitting outfielder, just
- 5:56Speaker 2: came off the il has played well since he came
- 5:58Speaker 2: out the all including a home run a couple of
- 6:01Speaker 2: days ago. There's a lot of teams that are looking
- 6:04Speaker 2: for right handed hitters. You saw what the Red Sox
- 6:07Speaker 2: had to pay to get Curtis me they overpaid with
- 6:09Speaker 2: Conley early. There is enough teams like the Philadelphia Affilies,
- 6:13Speaker 2: Detroit Tigers that would like to get a right handed hitter.
- 6:17Speaker 2: Seattle Mariners would like to get a right handed hitter.
- 6:20Speaker 2: Somebody might take a chance on Robert and if the
- 6:23Speaker 2: Mets can dump the contract they are going to do that. Remember,
- 6:27Speaker 2: Robert in his career has hit more than thirty homers
- 6:29Speaker 2: in a year. In fact, you get thirty eight one year,
- 6:30Speaker 2: and he's stolen twenty bases a year ago, So a
- 6:33Speaker 2: lot of upside there as well. I also have been
- 6:36Speaker 2: told they have shot both their catchers, Lewis Torrens and
- 6:39Speaker 2: Francisco Alvarez. I think it's more likely that Torrens gets
- 6:42Speaker 2: moved than Alvarez. Watched the Chicago White Sox on Torrens,
- 6:46Speaker 2: I'm told they are engaged. Also, Roscar Razabon has been
- 6:50Speaker 2: one of their best relievers. He also could be had.
- 6:53Speaker 2: And Brooks Raley boy teams are lining up to get rarely.
- 6:57Speaker 2: So what's the bottom line here, Trey Michael Bowden. The
- 7:00Speaker 2: New York Mets are gonna sell, sell, sell Mortimer, and
- 7:04Speaker 2: they are gonna headline as sellers. They are gonna headline
- 7:07Speaker 2: this trade deadline.
- 7:09Speaker 1: And we're gonna be here for it, covering every move
- 7:13Speaker 1: that the New York Mets make. It's gonna be exciting,
- 7:16Speaker 1: all right. Let's switch over now to the other team
- 7:19Speaker 1: in New York, potentially the biggest buyers at the deadline.
- 7:22Speaker 1: Jim what do the Yankees need.
- 7:24Speaker 2: I'm being told by opposing GMS that Brian Cashman is
- 7:28Speaker 2: absolutely everywhere looking for everybody in anything to get better.
- 7:34Speaker 2: He's looking for a right handed catcher. He's just not
- 7:36Speaker 2: getting the offense from his catchers. So he has been
- 7:39Speaker 2: tied in with a lot of high end catchers, platoon catchers,
- 7:43Speaker 2: backup catchers. Here's some of the top catchers he'd loved
- 7:46Speaker 2: to get. Hunter Goodman, of course, from the Colorado Rockies,
- 7:50Speaker 2: has over thirty homers this year. Adley Rutchman of the
- 7:52Speaker 2: Baltimore Orioles that they did have a conversation about Shane Langeliers,
- 7:56Speaker 2: but unfortunately he has a meniscus injury to his knee.
- 7:59Speaker 2: Probably he's going to miss the season. He is off
- 8:01Speaker 2: the trade block. The most realistic guy they can get
- 8:05Speaker 2: if the Twins sell, would be Ryan Jeffers, who would
- 8:08Speaker 2: be a really good platoon there for Austin Wells. But
- 8:11Speaker 2: go back to that previous graphic if you would to
- 8:13Speaker 2: minute trade, because let's go through all the needs they have,
- 8:16Speaker 2: so right hitting catcher, if they'd like to get another
- 8:18Speaker 2: bullpen arm, even though their bullpen has been brilliant since June,
- 8:22Speaker 2: they won another starting pitcher. I'm told they're chasing a
- 8:25Speaker 2: right handed hitting outfielder. And oh, by the way, they're
- 8:28Speaker 2: involved in everyone that could be trade that has impact. Yes,
- 8:31Speaker 2: that includes if the Tigers were to trade Derek Scougle.
- 8:35Speaker 2: They will play there. But one thing is for sure.
- 8:37Speaker 2: With Cody Bellinger going down with a hamstring injury with
- 8:41Speaker 2: no timetable on the return of Aaron Judge, the Yankees
- 8:45Speaker 2: need offense. Brian Cashman is looking for offense and starting
- 8:48Speaker 2: pitching and bullpen and right hitting catcher, and this trade
- 8:52Speaker 2: deadline might all be about New York New York Franks
- 8:56Speaker 2: and not to Jay Z get ready to say, I want.
- 9:00Speaker 1: To go over some of these names that we have here,
- 9:02Speaker 1: of some of these impact bats, they can go ahead
- 9:05Speaker 1: and get so. Looking at our list here, you mentioned Scooball.
- 9:09Speaker 1: I mean that would be unbelievable, but that return I'm
- 9:12Speaker 1: imagining would be pretty insane.
- 9:16Speaker 2: Well, I mean, first of all, when you look at
- 9:18Speaker 2: these big names here, we don't know if the Tigers
- 9:20Speaker 2: are going to trade school, but we'll get to that
- 9:22Speaker 2: later in the show. CJ. Abrams, it would take a
- 9:25Speaker 2: boat load to get them. It would have to start
- 9:29Speaker 2: with George Lombard Junior. If George Lombard Junior is in
- 9:33Speaker 2: the conversation, there is a pathway for the Yankees to
- 9:36Speaker 2: Rechoir Abrams. In fact, a package of Anthony Volpe and
- 9:41Speaker 2: Lombard might get Abrams, which I think would be a
- 9:43Speaker 2: great deal for both sides, to be honest, Foster Griffin
- 9:48Speaker 2: is a picture that the Nationals are trying to extend.
- 9:50Speaker 2: They haven't been able to that way, they might deal him.
- 9:53Speaker 2: That's a big name for them. Zach Netto has been
- 9:56Speaker 2: a name that has been connected with the Yankees, but
- 9:58Speaker 2: I'm not sure they're willing to pay the asking price
- 10:01Speaker 2: of John Mozaylock the president. They've talked to them about
- 10:04Speaker 2: Read Detmers. That's another interesting left handed starting pitcher. Spencer
- 10:08Speaker 2: Steer of the Reds could fit because he can play
- 10:11Speaker 2: both third base and left field, and adding a right
- 10:14Speaker 2: hand hitter to play third or left or both makes
- 10:18Speaker 2: a lot of sense. So Steer with the Yankees is
- 10:21Speaker 2: definitely one I want to steer you towards, but I
- 10:23Speaker 2: want to steer you away from Byron Buxton because I'm
- 10:26Speaker 2: being told Twins are not trading Byron Buxton, so stop
- 10:30Speaker 2: talking about it. And I like the fit with Casey
- 10:32Speaker 2: Schmidt and the Giants. But I'm being told they are
- 10:35Speaker 2: not trading him, but they will trade Helliott Ramos. That's
- 10:38Speaker 2: the latest news with the New York.
- 10:40Speaker 3: Yankees deer away. I like that. That was very punny. Dad,
- 10:45Speaker 3: That was a good one. That was a good one.
- 10:47Speaker 1: All right, everyone, we're gonna take a quick break, but
- 10:49Speaker 1: when we come back, we're gonna address some of the
- 10:51Speaker 1: other rumors that we're hearing before the deadline.
- 10:55Speaker 3: We'll be right back. Godfather, you're hitting some games this summer.

- 11:56Speaker 5: so you can use it later.
- 11:57Speaker 3: Alrighty, Jim, I gotta ask.
- 11:59Speaker 1: I've been seeing a lot on X about these Washington
- 12:02Speaker 1: Nationals and potentially two of their better players being on
- 12:05Speaker 1: the move.
- 12:06Speaker 3: Can you start out with CJ. Abrams for us?
- 12:09Speaker 2: Yeah, I can tell you this. First of all, the
- 12:10Speaker 2: Washington Nationals have not finalized their strategy on that they're
- 12:14Speaker 2: going to buy, sell, do both, or just hold the
- 12:18Speaker 2: rest of the way. They made a really good trade
- 12:21Speaker 2: getting early for meat, as we talked about earlier in
- 12:23Speaker 2: the show. That was a deal that helps them now
- 12:26Speaker 2: in long term. So that was a contender to contender
- 12:29Speaker 2: type of trade. But they have not decided yet. Remember
- 12:31Speaker 2: there are only a few games behind in the wildcard race,
- 12:35Speaker 2: so they are in the race now. They will listen
- 12:37Speaker 2: on everybody, of course they will. They have not been
- 12:40Speaker 2: able to extend James order CJ. Abrams, but I'm being
- 12:43Speaker 2: told there's zero chance they trade James word at this
- 12:45Speaker 2: trade deadline. They are listening on CJ. Abrams, but they
- 12:49Speaker 2: have to be overwhelmed in order to trade Abrams. It
- 12:52Speaker 2: is more than likely that if they do decide to
- 12:55Speaker 2: quote unquote sell, Foster Griffin is the name to one. Okay,
- 13:00Speaker 2: they have not been able to extend them to a contract.
- 13:03Speaker 2: Apparently they're far apart in negotiations, and so you know
- 13:07Speaker 2: they're gonna keep one eye on this year, but they're
- 13:09Speaker 2: gonna keep an eye on next year as well. And
- 13:12Speaker 2: if they can get the right return for Foster Griffin,
- 13:14Speaker 2: he absolutely could be traded by the deadline. Keep in mind,
- 13:18Speaker 2: there's not a lot of starting pitchers, unlike what most
- 13:21Speaker 2: people think, that are quality that can make playoffs. Starts
- 13:24Speaker 2: that are available. Foster Griffin is one of them. But again,
- 13:27Speaker 2: the Nats have not decided which direction they're gonna go.
- 13:30Speaker 2: They have not finalized the strategy. They're gonna see how
- 13:34Speaker 2: this team plays this week before they finalize that decision,
- 13:38Speaker 2: because if they could keep winning this week and get
- 13:41Speaker 2: in a position to get the wild card, that may
- 13:43Speaker 2: change what they end up doing on August third.
- 13:47Speaker 3: Well, I'm excited for it. I'm with you.
- 13:49Speaker 1: I think Foster definitely will be on the move, but CJ,
- 13:52Speaker 1: I'm assuming that asking price is going to be pretty high.
- 13:55Speaker 1: Let's move now to Shaye Langeliers. Unfortunately, the news is
- 14:00Speaker 1: broke this morning that he could miss the rest the
- 14:02Speaker 1: season after tearing his meniscus. Jim, what do the Athletics
- 14:06Speaker 1: do at this point before the deadline. Do they try
- 14:09Speaker 1: to go out and get another catcher or do they
- 14:12Speaker 1: just kind of stay put with what they have?
- 14:14Speaker 2: Well, they're selling right, I mean, they're not in the
- 14:16Speaker 2: pendent race, and the Langeliers injury means he won't be traded.
- 14:20Speaker 2: But I'm being totally. They weren't close to anything anyway,
- 14:22Speaker 2: and if they did trade him, it was going to
- 14:24Speaker 2: take a huge haul. But I'm told there was no
- 14:26Speaker 2: traction for a deal anyway. You know, they would like
- 14:29Speaker 2: to trade from their surplus and outfielders to try to
- 14:32Speaker 2: get more pitching. So they want to add pitching. Remember
- 14:35Speaker 2: they're building for Las Vegas for twenty twenty eight, So
- 14:39Speaker 2: any move they make is to help their chances of
- 14:43Speaker 2: winning in twenty twenty eight and beyond. But this is
- 14:46Speaker 2: a baseball team that has a good core of everyday players,
- 14:50Speaker 2: but they need more pitching. So every trade that they're
- 14:52Speaker 2: working on right now is for pitching. Will they sell
- 14:56Speaker 2: some players only if it improves, As I said, their
- 14:59Speaker 2: long term few future, which begins in twenty twenty eight
- 15:02Speaker 2: in the new stadium.
- 15:03Speaker 3: In Vegas, that's going to be so sick. I cannot
- 15:06Speaker 3: wait to see baseball in Vegas.
- 15:09Speaker 1: All right, I want to ask you, we're talking about
- 15:11Speaker 1: pitching right now, Tarik Skuble, we were talking off the show,
- 15:15Speaker 1: and you know we mentioned that there's a little bit
- 15:17Speaker 1: of a Scuoball issue.
- 15:18Speaker 3: Can you give some light to our listeners about this?
- 15:21Speaker 2: Well, I don't think there's an issue. I mean, the
- 15:22Speaker 2: fact of the matter is the Tigers are winning. They
- 15:24Speaker 2: have the best record in their division since June the first,
- 15:28Speaker 2: and they're within a few games of the wild card spot.
- 15:31Speaker 2: Trek Schouble has made it very clear to the Tigers
- 15:33Speaker 2: as well as the public, that he wants to stay
- 15:36Speaker 2: at Tiger until he gets to free agency, and he
- 15:38Speaker 2: wants to win a world championship while wearing a Detroit uniform.
- 15:42Speaker 2: He's made it clear that's what he wants to do. Now,
- 15:44Speaker 2: the Tigers have not decided if they're going to trade
- 15:47Speaker 2: him or hold on to him. Like so many teams,
- 15:49Speaker 2: They're going to see how they play this week. If
- 15:52Speaker 2: they continue to win, and if they believe that they
- 15:54Speaker 2: can get into the playoffs and or win this division,
- 15:58Speaker 2: then they're going to hold onto school. However, at the
- 16:00Speaker 2: same time, team president Scott Harris has listened to teams
- 16:05Speaker 2: that have inquired on Schooble, and he will take offers
- 16:09Speaker 2: on Tarek Scooble, and look, if he gets an overwhelming offer,
- 16:13Speaker 2: you know, he could pull the trigger or he could
- 16:15Speaker 2: hold on to him. So we're going to go into
- 16:18Speaker 2: that trade deadline with Trek Scouber being a headliner. Will
- 16:21Speaker 2: he stay or will he go? I don't know what
- 16:23Speaker 2: it's gonna happen, but it's gonna be a lot of
- 16:25Speaker 2: fun watching the drama all week long.
- 16:28Speaker 3: I sure will be all right.
- 16:30Speaker 1: Jen, we were talking off air before the show, and
- 16:33Speaker 1: I want to I got to ask do you think
- 16:35Speaker 1: Byron bus Buxton or Joe Ryan dealt before the deadline.
- 16:40Speaker 2: No, absolutely not. I'm being told neither one is going.
- 16:43Speaker 2: In fact, the twins are buyers right now. They feel
- 16:45Speaker 2: like they're in the race as well. They feel they
- 16:48Speaker 2: have a chance of the wild card. Jeremy Zol, the
- 16:50Speaker 2: general manager, is out there looking for bullpen help. They're
- 16:53Speaker 2: trying to get this bullpen better. They feel like they
- 16:56Speaker 2: can compete to the very end, and so they want
- 16:59Speaker 2: to wanted Joe Ryan and Bailey Ober and the starting
- 17:03Speaker 2: rotation they have, they feel it's good enough to contend
- 17:06Speaker 2: and get to a playoff spot. So all of the
- 17:08Speaker 2: rumors that you're hearing, and I've seen the rumors everywhere,
- 17:11Speaker 2: and people are saying, you know, Buxton, they get traded
- 17:14Speaker 2: to the Phillies along with Bailey Ober. Right, you know,
- 17:16Speaker 2: I'm being told no, I'm being told no. So that's
- 17:19Speaker 2: kind of where that stands and un tells someone tells
- 17:21Speaker 2: me differently. I'm only gonna believe the executives that give
- 17:25Speaker 2: me the information.
- 17:27Speaker 3: All right, what about the Houston Astros any update for them?
- 17:31Speaker 2: Yeah, So we've been saying all along that they're looking
- 17:33Speaker 2: for a left hand hitting outfielder. Well that has changed
- 17:36Speaker 2: a little bit. According to opposing GMS, Dana Brown is
- 17:39Speaker 2: now asking for outfielders that can hit. He could care
- 17:42Speaker 2: less if they're left handed, right handed, or switch hitters.
- 17:45Speaker 2: He wants an outfield bat That is his priority, they
- 17:49Speaker 2: tell me. In addition to it, they say, you know
- 17:52Speaker 2: Dana Brown, he's always looking for pitching upgrades. So Dana
- 17:55Speaker 2: Brown also out there looking for pitching. So the Astros
- 17:58Speaker 2: are buyers. They think they can win this. They think
- 18:00Speaker 2: it's winnable, and they believe if they can add an
- 18:03Speaker 2: outfeel bad and upgrade the pitching, that they got a
- 18:05Speaker 2: shot to do it. So that's where Houston sits right now.
- 18:09Speaker 1: All right, and we got to finish up with the
- 18:11Speaker 1: Chicago White Sox. They're in first place right now in
- 18:14Speaker 1: the American League Central. Are they buying.
- 18:18Speaker 2: Oh, they're buying big time, baby. They know exactly where
- 18:20Speaker 2: they are in the standings. And these are the three
- 18:23Speaker 2: things that they are looking for. They're calling GMS. They
- 18:26Speaker 2: want another starting pitcher. They want a catcher. Because of
- 18:29Speaker 2: the injury to Kyle Teeal, they're looking for catching Watch
- 18:32Speaker 2: them in Lewis Terrenz of the Mets bullpen. They want
- 18:36Speaker 2: another bullpen arm.
- 18:37Speaker 3: As well.
- 18:37Speaker 2: But one thing's for sure, the Chicago White Sox are
- 18:41Speaker 2: gonna buy, buy, buy it this deadline.
- 18:43Speaker 3: Baby, I'm excited.
- 18:46Speaker 1: I hope we see a lot of teams buy, a
- 18:48Speaker 1: lot of teams sell, and you can catch all of
