- 0:23chickens. Hey everybody.
- 0:28Good morning from the chicken coop.
- 0:31So someone posed a question to me and said, I'm curious what
- 0:36your opinion is on a healthy mindset and I said, well, you
- 0:39absolutely have to have one and they said, yes, I know.
- 0:41But if you were to break it down, what do you think is the
- 0:47the components, what makes up a healthy mindset, what's the
- 0:49foundation of a healthy mindset? And I was like, wow, that's
- 0:53that's a really great question to ask somebody because it's
- 0:57different for everybody. Let me just say that you can
- 1:00Google This question and you will find multiple answers out
- 1:03there and for me it's my life's work.
- 1:08So I think that it all depends on the person.
- 1:12So first of all, as you're listening to this, I want you to
- 1:15pose the question to yourself. What makes up my healthy
- 1:18mindset, not in general. Someone else is because it's
- 1:21different for every person like I'm standing in the middle of
- 1:2439, chickens and nine chicks. So do you think that that is
- 1:30He's a healthy mindset for everybody.
- 1:33Know many people would be like, oh no, like my daughter is
- 1:37terrified to come into the chicken coop.
- 1:38I don't she is not a fan Birds which is funny how much I love
- 1:42birds, but she's not a fan of birds.
- 1:45So her putting her into the middle of this and saying, hey
- 1:50this is your joy. This brings you so much every
- 1:53day would be just absolutely terrifying for her because it's
- 1:56just not her thing. So that's not going to make up
- 1:59her healthy mindset. So the very first thing you have
- 2:02to do is be willing capable and able to have the conversation
- 2:07with yourself about what it is not based on somebody else.
- 2:12I really can't stress this enough.
- 2:14Just like, I like to wear baggy, pants and ripped jeans, and
- 2:18t-shirts, and ponytails. And some women just don't feel
- 2:22good like that. They, they are not going to feel
- 2:24good. Like that me.
- 2:25I feel my best like that. I am like so creative and so, on
- 2:29point and feel Also wonderful. So there is absolutely a
- 2:35difference in how we interpret, what makes up a healthy mindset,
- 2:40just like everything else in our life.
- 2:41So for me personally something that makes up a healthy mindset.
- 2:45The component of it for me is being in situations where I'm
- 2:49constantly able to tap into gratitude and joy that is a
- 2:53foundational piece for me. These chickens are place where I
- 2:56tap into Joy gratitude for the fact that I Just can come out
- 3:01here and instantly my whole mood shifts, whatever is happening.
- 3:05I can sit down and I can be like, okay, someone hops into my
- 3:08lap and looks at me like she has no clue what's going on.
- 3:13Same thing with my dog's my cat. That's a different story.
- 3:16She doesn't care. As we all know who are cat
- 3:18lovers. They don't care what's
- 3:19happening. But when you start thinking
- 3:21about it, joy and gratitude, Can they be foundational for you?
- 3:26Can that be something that you cultivate every day?
- 3:29So, I've talked before about how I use my camera to take pictures
- 3:33of things constantly throughout my day.
- 3:36At that, I'm putting noticing, putting gratitude to and that
- 3:40helps me. Build it up beyond that.
- 3:43I just tried resonate in it as so much as I can.
- 3:47Like, I'll think. Okay, I'm grateful for, you
- 3:49know, having a soft bed clean, sheets shoes that I really like.
- 3:53It doesn't matter what it is. Is, but those are foundational
- 3:56pieces for me, another foundational piece for me is
- 3:58being able to tap into creative juices every single day, which I
- 4:02do with clients every single day because everybody shows up with
- 4:05different things and different situations.
- 4:06And I have to, you know, be able to Pivot from person to person
- 4:11and stretching myself. Like that really puts me in a
- 4:14place of feeling very bright. Like, it feels like it's just
- 4:20like a bright light inside of me and that to me is a foundational
- 4:24piece. Of a healthy mindset again,
- 4:28going back to creativity. It's not just the thoughts that
- 4:32I put out to the clients, but it's also having the ability to,
- 4:35you know, take pictures or paint or color, or do something
- 4:39creative gardening is super creative to me.
- 4:41So again, that's another piece of it for me but it's not that
- 4:46way for everybody and understanding it.
- 4:49So I did just to be very clear and close the loop.
- 4:51I did send this person off with thoughts about Are your version
- 4:56what's going to be on your list? What's how does your version
- 4:59come out? And it's an interesting question
- 5:02to ask yourself so that you know, if you're on or off base.
- 5:06So for instance, in the spring, I spend a lot of time gardening
- 5:11but I don't spend it doing any painting, or I don't spend it
- 5:15doing a ton, a ton of reading listening learning because
- 5:19that's another foundational piece of it.
- 5:21Everyday. I know a healthy mindset for me
- 5:23is I have to learn something. So I To keep track of that to
- 5:25make sure I am learning something every day.
- 5:27Did I read something new today? Did I do something new today
- 5:30because I know that makes me feel good and it doesn't happen
- 5:33every single day but it happens like out of seven days.
- 5:35I'm going to say that probably four solid days.
- 5:38I'm getting in a good number of either audios.
- 5:42I'm listening to training some listening to, or reading books,
- 5:46whatever it might be and for me that is foundational.
- 5:51But you have to ask yourself what are yours and for Some
- 5:55people that might just be I got to get out and walk for some
- 5:57people that might be. I've got to make sure I'm
- 6:01connecting with enough people. I've got to go in service.
- 6:03Meaning I have a client that every single week at least three
- 6:06times a week, she goes and she works at a soup kitchen because
- 6:09that makes her her whole world changed when she started doing
- 6:12that. And every I have other people
- 6:15that would be horrified by having to do that because they
- 6:18couldn't handle the thought of the pressure of what that must
- 6:21be like to be in that place. But for her, she looks At it
- 6:25like she's their bright point, but that's part of her healthy
- 6:28mindset. So I'm gonna send that off to
- 6:31you. What's your Healthy mindset?
- 6:32How do you make it up? Do you know the components of
- 6:35it? Go find out.
- 6:37All right, my friends, I hope you have a blessed day and I
- 6:39will see you tomorrow. Bye.
