UNCW’s campus is getting a major upgrade with a new 2,000-foot road linking Hurst Drive to Riegel Road — approved by the University of North Carolina Board of Governors. Though the budget jumped from $4.5M to over $6.5M, funding will come mostly from university parking revenue, not taxpayer dollars.
