- 0:02Speaker 1: Radio Radio Radio Commies a Myth and Bullshit, a radiophonic novella.
- 0:17Speaker 1: Look Radio hosted by Malamn. Welcome to Season three of
- 0:24Speaker 1: Local Radios. Because firm revenge has never sounded so sweet.
- 0:30Speaker 1: Look at Our Radio is a radiophonic novella archiving the
- 0:34Speaker 1: legacies and brilliance of women and fems of color. I'm
- 0:37Speaker 1: Theos and I'm Mala, and we are less mommies of
- 0:39Speaker 1: myth and Bullshit. Last Look Radio radiophonic novella, which is
- 0:45Speaker 1: just a really really extra way of saying a podcast. Welcome,
- 0:49Speaker 1: welcome back, welcome back. Last time on Look at Our Radio,
- 0:52Speaker 1: we discussed Catholic guilt, our life as recovering Catholics, and
- 0:56Speaker 1: vanity as a social construct. And as always, got Our
- 1:00Speaker 1: Radio is recorded at IT Radio, Espasio here at nine.
- 1:05Speaker 1: This is a community radio station um here in boil Heights.
- 1:08Speaker 1: Thank you once again for joining us, Thank you for
- 1:10Speaker 1: joining us. So we're gonna jump right in to some announcements.
- 1:15Speaker 1: We have some exciting stuff we want to talk about.
- 1:17Speaker 1: Um So, Mala, can you just start us off please? Okay,
- 1:21Speaker 1: First and foremost read about us in Forbes Bitch number one.
- 1:25Speaker 1: Literally read about us in Forbes. Thank you Vivian Nunez
- 1:29Speaker 1: for reaching out to us, interviewing us, and putting out
- 1:32Speaker 1: a beautiful feature of about us about our podcast in Forbes. Yeah. So,
- 1:36Speaker 1: if we haven't checked out our article, it's four pieces
- 1:39Speaker 1: of podcasting advice from this Latino podcast duo. So I
- 1:44Speaker 1: was at work, oh my god, like teaching the youth
- 1:47Speaker 1: of tomorrow, right, and then I get a text from Thesa.
- 1:50Speaker 1: It was so hilarious because, Um, I was getting ready
- 1:53Speaker 1: for work myself and I was, you know, checking our
- 1:56Speaker 1: checking my email, checking our email, and I see that
- 1:59Speaker 1: we have an email from Vivian and she says, hey, like,
- 2:03Speaker 1: here's the link. It's live. And I'm freaking out, and
- 2:06Speaker 1: I'm texting Mala and she's not replying, and I'm like,
- 2:08Speaker 1: oh my god, Mala, we're in Forbes. We're in Forbes.
- 2:11Speaker 1: I'm texting her. I'm just like reading the article. I'm
- 2:13Speaker 1: freaking out. I'm running to my mom's room. I'm just
- 2:15Speaker 1: like literally going everywhere, and Mama, of course is in class.
- 2:19Speaker 1: So I'm like, well, you know, I'm just gonna post
- 2:21Speaker 1: this now. So I like made the executive decision posted
- 2:24Speaker 1: the article. Um and people were replying to it, and
- 2:28Speaker 1: I was telling Joanna from The Unapologetically Brown Girl, I
- 2:31Speaker 1: was like, Um, I'm freaking out because Mala's at work
- 2:33Speaker 1: and she hasn't seen this text and all of this
- 2:35Speaker 1: is going on. I couldn't have a reaction. I was dying.
- 2:38Speaker 1: It was so exciting. We're still really excited. Thank you
- 2:41Speaker 1: everybody who reposted it, who shared it, who read it. Um,
- 2:45Speaker 1: we're in love with the article. I feel like it
- 2:48Speaker 1: really captures us and what we're about, and it's almost
- 2:52Speaker 1: like we retraced our steps, Like we look at the
- 2:54Speaker 1: podcast and what we've created and we kind of just
- 2:57Speaker 1: looked back and saw like, what's our journey and that's
- 3:00Speaker 1: how we drew like those pieces of advice you know,
- 3:02Speaker 1: for that article. Definitely, definitely, And I think it's so
- 3:06Speaker 1: um well timed because we just had our workshop at
- 3:11Speaker 1: the library so fun, you know, so fun and um
- 3:15Speaker 1: so and I think that was our first time actually
- 3:18Speaker 1: talking about our origins and giving advice to other, you know,
- 3:22Speaker 1: folks that want to start a podcast and talking about
- 3:25Speaker 1: what's worked for us and what hasn't worked for us.
- 3:27Speaker 1: And it's really inspiring and affirming to to see that
- 3:31Speaker 1: people are reaching out to us as authorities, like as
- 3:34Speaker 1: podcast authorities because they respect what we've done and they
- 3:38Speaker 1: see what we've done. So it just feels super affirming
- 3:40Speaker 1: to to have this feedback. It feels good. It feels
- 3:43Speaker 1: really good. And speaking of that podcasting workshops, so at
- 3:47Speaker 1: the Memorial Branch over on Olympic we hosted our first
- 3:52Speaker 1: of many made in l a podcasting one on one workshops.
- 3:55Speaker 1: It was really fun. It was a full workshop. There
- 3:58Speaker 1: were people there that we recognize, some listeners and look
- 4:00Speaker 1: amotis shoutout to yeah, I know you're probably listening, um.
- 4:05Speaker 1: And there was also like some male podcasters there. There
- 4:08Speaker 1: were been there, there were men there. There were men there.
- 4:10Speaker 1: It's always like when we see men come to our
- 4:14Speaker 1: podcasting workshops, are just our workshops were always like okay,
- 4:16Speaker 1: are you going to stay for all of this? Right?
- 4:19Speaker 1: What's yeah? There were what's going on? There were some
- 4:22Speaker 1: white people who like stayed for the lecture portion, but
- 4:25Speaker 1: when it came to like, you know, do the group
- 4:27Speaker 1: work and outline like your own podcast, they got up
- 4:31Speaker 1: and left. Some of them like complimented us, though one
- 4:35Speaker 1: white man said that we were geniuses, thank god, and
- 4:38Speaker 1: I'm like, yeah, I know, that's how we're doing. That's
- 4:41Speaker 1: literally why we're we literally archived the legacies and genius
- 4:45Speaker 1: of ourselves. It's in the mission statement. Thanks for right, um.
- 4:49Speaker 1: But yeah, I mean I think we didn't really know
- 4:52Speaker 1: what to expect in terms of turnout for the library
- 4:55Speaker 1: and like, I've never been to a library workshop in
- 4:57Speaker 1: the middle of a Saturday, you know what i mean.
- 4:59Speaker 1: So we didn't really know what to expect. So again,
- 5:02Speaker 1: thank you to everybody that showed up. We had oh
- 5:05Speaker 1: my god, we had a the daughter of a Dodger.
- 5:11Speaker 1: She was there because she's starting a podcast and she
- 5:13Speaker 1: wanted to come and she said she saw us, you know,
- 5:15Speaker 1: an aalistical so she was like, I'm gonna go check
- 5:17Speaker 1: out this workshop that they're doing. So that was really cool. Yeah.
- 5:21Speaker 1: So she's sitting there talking about casually like when I'm
- 5:23Speaker 1: starting a podcast for my dad, it's chill. My dad
- 5:27Speaker 1: was one of the Dodgers, it's what EV's And I'm like,
- 5:31Speaker 1: I'm sorry, so who's your dad? Like she goes, Manny
- 5:34Speaker 1: Mota and then we do our our due diligence, our
- 5:37Speaker 1: research and not only did he play for the Dodgers, Dominican,
- 5:40Speaker 1: but he was also a coach. He coached the Dodgers
- 5:43Speaker 1: for a period of time, and he's also um what
- 5:47Speaker 1: are they called when they like report like the live game,
- 5:51Speaker 1: he's like one of the commentators, like the commentator when
- 5:53Speaker 1: he does that for in Spanish, like for one of
- 5:55Speaker 1: the Spanish networks. Yeah, so if you're listening, thanks for
- 5:58Speaker 1: coming out, Thank you for coming. We love thee some
- 6:02Speaker 1: like l A bitches. I don't really know the players,
- 6:04Speaker 1: but I know that I support the Daughters because I'm
- 6:06Speaker 1: in l A bitch. Absolutely, you know what I mean.
- 6:08Speaker 1: And I will watch them when they go to the
- 6:09Speaker 1: World Series and I'll cry when they don't wait. Absolutely,
- 6:12Speaker 1: Oh my god, wait this gave me a flashback. I
- 6:15Speaker 1: went on a date with this guy once who was
- 6:17Speaker 1: like such the like woke, the woke cheek like quote
- 6:21Speaker 1: unquote that you enjoy the Daughters because n yes, it
- 6:24Speaker 1: was so funny. We were we all know what you
- 6:26Speaker 1: gotta like that. We were on a fucking date of
- 6:28Speaker 1: first date girl, and we're talking about what we like
- 6:31Speaker 1: to do for fun. I'm like, oh, I like Dodger games,
- 6:33Speaker 1: and he goes, really, but what about Chavez Ravene what
- 6:37Speaker 1: about imminent domain? Right, I'm like, what about it? Go blue?
- 6:42Speaker 1: Like I love the Dodgers. I don't know what to
- 6:45Speaker 1: tell you. What are you what are you going to do?
- 6:47Speaker 1: What are you going to do about? Like? No, what
- 6:48Speaker 1: are you well going to do? Now? I don't get it?
- 6:54Speaker 1: So why is it your you know what I mean?
- 6:56Speaker 1: My problem? I mean that you do or don't do
- 6:58Speaker 1: isn't going to give people back their their home. They're
- 7:01Speaker 1: stolen land, you know what I mean? Right, it was wrong,
- 7:04Speaker 1: it was funked up. But what do you want me
- 7:06Speaker 1: to do anyway? Whatever? And the other things. More announcements.
- 7:13Speaker 1: So we also had our pop up so if you
- 7:18Speaker 1: were there, thank you for coming out. Um it was
- 7:21Speaker 1: super cute. It was so pink. We really took over
- 7:25Speaker 1: lasts and made it very local, very very very fem
- 7:31Speaker 1: and a lot of people came out. There was a
- 7:32Speaker 1: lot of engagement. People brought their daughters, their kids. Um.
- 7:37Speaker 1: There was a home girl there from U c. L A.
- 7:39Speaker 1: On roller skates skating around the whole time. Shout out
- 7:43Speaker 1: T was there. Shout out T, shout out sizzle, Shout
- 7:47Speaker 1: out to my homegirl scarlet. She volunteered. She um worked
- 7:52Speaker 1: our merch and was like super on top of selling
- 7:57Speaker 1: and getting that for us. So shout out to her.
- 7:59Speaker 1: She's actually my homegirl from high school from the convents,
- 8:02Speaker 1: from the convent that the escaped from. Yeah, that I survived, right,
- 8:07Speaker 1: So thank you to everybody who came out. I think
- 8:09Speaker 1: that we should do it again. Yeah, I think we
- 8:11Speaker 1: need to do pop up again. So I don't know,
- 8:14Speaker 1: look out for those announcements in the future. Definitely it's
- 8:17Speaker 1: going to be coming to a sitting near you. I thinks, yes,

- 11:14Speaker 1: word from our sponsors, A quick word from our sponsors.
- 11:18Speaker 1: So you know, we're all about therapy for latin X.
- 11:21Speaker 1: We really want to take a moment to shout out
- 11:23Speaker 1: therapy for latin X UM. They use the latest technology
- 11:27Speaker 1: to make it as easy as possible for people to
- 11:29Speaker 1: find therapists, life coaches, emergency mental health centers, and for
- 11:33Speaker 1: your low cost community clinics. We really encourage you to
- 11:37Speaker 1: go check out their online database and find a latin
- 11:39Speaker 1: X therapist near you. Yes, I mean exactly, go and
- 11:44Speaker 1: check out the database. And you know, I think the
- 11:47Speaker 1: latin X community we need a lot of therapy. We
- 11:49Speaker 1: need a lot of therapy. Can I share real quick
- 11:51Speaker 1: about my dad? Oh yes, please? I got a frenzied
- 11:54Speaker 1: text message early in the morning, so I had I
- 11:58Speaker 1: usually got to therapy in the evening beings on like
- 12:01Speaker 1: my day of the week, and um, this session, I
- 12:04Speaker 1: had to schedule it in the morning. So I was
- 12:06Speaker 1: waking up, you know, earlier than usual, and I'm telling
- 12:09Speaker 1: my mom like, oh yeah, I'm going to leave for
- 12:11Speaker 1: therapy and a little bit, and my dad comes into
- 12:12Speaker 1: my room freaking out because he had no idea that
- 12:16Speaker 1: I see a therapist. Even though I talk about it
- 12:19Speaker 1: all the time, I'm very transparent about it, so he
- 12:23Speaker 1: had no idea he freaked out. He asked me if
- 12:26Speaker 1: I'm okay, He asked me if I need help like
- 12:28Speaker 1: all these things, and I'm like, well, this is why
- 12:30Speaker 1: I see a therapist, right. And then this is where
- 12:33Speaker 1: it gets really intense and really deep. He says, well,
- 12:36Speaker 1: do you see a therapist because of me? And I
- 12:38Speaker 1: was like, wow, the thing, I'm going to therapy right
- 12:40Speaker 1: now because I was not ready to answer that question.
- 12:43Speaker 1: I was still asleep, but me and the hangarst in bed, right,
- 12:46Speaker 1: you know. And then you know, it's like, Dad, if
- 12:48Speaker 1: you're asking the question, you must know that, you must
- 12:51Speaker 1: know the answer. Right, there's some truths. There's a truth
- 12:55Speaker 1: colonel there, right. So basically our family can trigger us
- 13:00Speaker 1: every day, you know. So when we have these resources,
- 13:04Speaker 1: it's good to check out, you know, therapy for latinoxt
- 13:08Speaker 1: a database, yeah, right there for you. Yeah, now you know?
- 13:11Speaker 1: Now you know? All right, So we're going to move
- 13:13Speaker 1: on to our next segment, our favorite segment. Oh yeah, look,
- 13:17Speaker 1: as have you ever ended a toxic friendship? Who you
- 13:23Speaker 1: want to go first? No? I don't, Oh my god,
- 13:29Speaker 1: you know what I think. I think that any toxic
- 13:33Speaker 1: friendships that I've had have sort of just dissipated on
- 13:36Speaker 1: their own just naturally. Um. I have never had like
- 13:41Speaker 1: a bad blow up friendship breakup that was like official
- 13:46Speaker 1: or that was like intentionally ended. Sometimes things just fizzla
- 13:51Speaker 1: on out and you let them and you don't perform
- 13:53Speaker 1: friendship CPR on them. And that's what I've experienced. Yeah,
- 14:00Speaker 1: I agree. Um, I think the same thing. I've never
- 14:02Speaker 1: had an actual breakup. But UM, I think one one
- 14:07Speaker 1: instance in particular that really hurt, but it made sense
- 14:10Speaker 1: was a friend that I was really close to, but
- 14:12Speaker 1: I was only close to her because she was my
- 14:14Speaker 1: ex as sorority sister. So I knew whenever, like I
- 14:18Speaker 1: knew in the back of my head, like if this
- 14:19Speaker 1: relationship would end, we're not going to be friends anymore.
- 14:21Speaker 1: And I knew that, and that was like okay, but
- 14:23Speaker 1: it's still hurt, you know, the friendship ending, But it
- 14:26Speaker 1: made sense. It was a natural progression of phasing out.
- 14:29Speaker 1: You know, I'm not going to stay friends with her obviously. Um.
- 14:33Speaker 1: And the same thing, like all of my friendships, either
- 14:35Speaker 1: I've outgrown them, maybe they've outgrown me. We've grown in
- 14:38Speaker 1: different directions, we've grown distant, and it happens. It happens. Yeah,
- 14:43Speaker 1: I just like, you know, a true good friendship that
- 14:48Speaker 1: had meaning in my life. Um, I haven't had any
- 14:52Speaker 1: kind of rupture as far as an authentic friendship that's
- 14:55Speaker 1: long lasting, um other more superficial um surface level friendships. Sure,
- 15:02Speaker 1: But I think it's also good to point out that,
- 15:04Speaker 1: like your friends can be really toxic, you know, and
- 15:07Speaker 1: they're not actually your friends, so more like people can
- 15:11Speaker 1: be toxic in your life that aren't just relationships, you know.
- 15:14Speaker 1: So that's I think important to to think about. You know,
- 15:17Speaker 1: is this person celebrating you when you accomplish something right?
- 15:21Speaker 1: Is this person, um, you know, maybe giving you bad
- 15:25Speaker 1: advice or actually likes to see your relationships go poorly
- 15:29Speaker 1: you know what I mean? Like, I think that's definitely
- 15:31Speaker 1: something to pay attention to. Yeah. Or Also I think
- 15:35Speaker 1: what's also been important is even me recognizing what if
- 15:39Speaker 1: I'm the toxic element in a friendship and if things
- 15:42Speaker 1: are fizzling out. There's also like I try and give
- 15:47Speaker 1: people their space, Like I don't try and force friendship
- 15:50Speaker 1: onto folks, or like if someone is clearly not trying
- 15:53Speaker 1: to hang out with me, or is not responding or
- 15:56Speaker 1: things like that, I let it be like, I don't try.
- 16:00Speaker 1: I don't demand closure or explanations from folks. I sort
- 16:04Speaker 1: of if you wanted to fizzle, I'm gonna let it fizzle,
- 16:07Speaker 1: you know. Um, And I think that's important too. Yeah.
- 16:11Speaker 1: I echo that because there was like a recent friend
- 16:13Speaker 1: group or kind of just like naturally just fizzled out
- 16:17Speaker 1: and I couldn't see it happening, and I just very
- 16:20Speaker 1: much felt like, well, I'm not going to put any
- 16:21Speaker 1: effort into hitting you up so that we can hang
- 16:24Speaker 1: out if you're not doing it either, So I'm gonna
- 16:27Speaker 1: just let it go. Yeah, totally totally agree. Yeah, and
- 16:31Speaker 1: thank you for that. That question. Next question, Um, So
- 16:35Speaker 1: this one came up a lot, so I think it's
- 16:37Speaker 1: important that we answer address. Um, what are your thoughts
- 16:41Speaker 1: on friends with benefits? Okay, here's my fucking thought. What
- 16:45Speaker 1: the fund is? The benefit is what I want to know?
- 16:48Speaker 1: What is the benefit? I saw this tweet I know
- 16:51Speaker 1: which one you're talking about, saying she was like, she
- 16:54Speaker 1: was like, oh I feel scammed friends with benefits. The
- 16:58Speaker 1: benefits I thought would be like insuring and dental. It's
- 17:02Speaker 1: just sex. What the fuck? That's not a benefits benefiting
- 17:05Speaker 1: And it's not a benefit because of you suckers canceling
- 17:11Speaker 1: any type of dick to save your own fucking lives,
- 17:14Speaker 1: never mind benefit me in any kind of a way.
- 17:17Speaker 1: So that phrase, I don't even know what it means.
- 17:20Speaker 1: At least I have never entered into a beneficial like
- 17:23Speaker 1: friendship in the way that that phrase is usually used to,
- 17:27Speaker 1: like suggest we're friends that hook up sometimes and the
- 17:30Speaker 1: sex is the benefit. I mean, I had one of
- 17:32Speaker 1: those m and it ended obviously, um and um. I
- 17:38Speaker 1: think the issue like, aside from that that like men
- 17:41Speaker 1: actually don't really deserve us, I think, right, I think.
- 17:46Speaker 1: I think also like at some point, like one of
- 17:48Speaker 1: you is going to catch feelings, you know, and it's
- 17:51Speaker 1: gonna be yours fall in love and I can't help that, right,
- 17:56Speaker 1: you know what It's like, there's like this meme or
- 17:57Speaker 1: something like when you're trying to be a home but
- 17:59Speaker 1: you just catch feelings, you know, and then you're like crying,
- 18:02Speaker 1: you know, and that and that can happen, you know.
- 18:05Speaker 1: So I personally don't think that friends with benefits can work,
- 18:08Speaker 1: especially if it's an actual friendship that you have. It's
- 18:12Speaker 1: one thing where it's like oh you guys, me and
- 18:14Speaker 1: you decide you don't want to date, but they're still
- 18:17Speaker 1: new to your life, and then you decide to hook up.
- 18:19Speaker 1: But like taking a friendship and then turning it into
- 18:22Speaker 1: friends of benefits doesn't work. I don't think so. I
- 18:25Speaker 1: think maybe a friendship to relationship can work. But one
- 18:28Speaker 1: of you is going to get hurt. Somebody's going to
- 18:30Speaker 1: get hurt. It's probably going to be you going to
- 18:32Speaker 1: be it's not going to be the man. It's not
- 18:37Speaker 1: going to be the man that gets hurt. Sure, if
- 18:40Speaker 1: you're if that's the type of hetero relationship that you're
- 18:43Speaker 1: in between queer folks, I think that it happens a
- 18:46Speaker 1: lot because our community is so small, so we end
- 18:50Speaker 1: up sucking our friends and then we have no friends
- 18:52Speaker 1: and we have no community. So don't do that either.
- 18:55Speaker 1: I mean, in my opinion, that's been my experience. I'm
- 18:57Speaker 1: not friends with any of my friends from college anymore
- 18:59Speaker 1: because guess what, I dated my friend, right, and now
- 19:02Speaker 1: I have no friends, you know what I mean? Like
- 19:04Speaker 1: I literally experienced that, So it's a slippery you know.
- 19:10Speaker 1: So I don't know. I just also want to say
- 19:13Speaker 1: that when it comes to we were just talking about
- 19:15Speaker 1: this before we started recording. The dating questions that we
- 19:19Speaker 1: get are so interesting because we are not dating experts. Like, bitch,
- 19:22Speaker 1: I want to know too. I have the same question.
- 19:25Speaker 1: I need help, but not damn spicy fix my life
- 19:29Speaker 1: had spicy body? Where you at? Girls? Like when I
- 19:31Speaker 1: tell you I couldn't give you the name of a
- 19:33Speaker 1: crush if I wanted to write, like my d MS
- 19:36Speaker 1: my phone are bone dry, bitch arid. Okay, it's been
- 19:41Speaker 1: a drought. What rain? Spicy? What rain? Could you know?
- 19:46Speaker 1: What I mean? Like right right with the dating questions,
- 19:50Speaker 1: I'm like, that's a that's a good question, right, I'm
- 19:52Speaker 1: trying to fire right right anybody out the spicy spicy buddy.
- 19:59Speaker 1: She the dating consultant, she's a guru, and she actually
- 20:02Speaker 1: gave us these spicy dating questions. So you asked them
- 20:06Speaker 1: on the first day, and they're typically questions that you
- 20:08Speaker 1: don't you don't want to ask. So my partner and
- 20:11Speaker 1: I actually did ask them, and we learned to like
- 20:13Speaker 1: some stuff about each other when we did it. Oh goody,
- 20:16Speaker 1: it was hopeful. Check her out, spicy muddy um. Next question,
- 20:21Speaker 1: Next question, Okay, another dating just started dating? What are
- 20:26Speaker 1: good for you? Bitch? We're all very happy for you. Know,
- 20:33Speaker 1: we are happy for you. But this question, what are
- 20:36Speaker 1: some good slash bad signs? Let me count the way, right?
- 20:41Speaker 1: I remember? That's so funny that we're answering this question
- 20:43Speaker 1: because literally this morning I was thinking about the time Alla,
- 20:46Speaker 1: when I was telling you about someone I was dating,
- 20:48Speaker 1: and I told you something horrible that he did for
- 20:51Speaker 1: his partner, remember very vividly and goes fosa. He's showing
- 20:55Speaker 1: you all his flags. He's literally being like, look at
- 20:57Speaker 1: all my flags are they are here, they are for you,
- 21:01Speaker 1: and I still look the other way, you know what
- 21:04Speaker 1: I mean. So, Okay, here's a bad sign. If he's
- 21:08Speaker 1: living with his girlfriend and cheating on her and going
- 21:10Speaker 1: out with you, that's a bad sign. There's like there's
- 21:13Speaker 1: like this meme where it was like you should maybe
- 21:16Speaker 1: not see him anywhere. I've seen this meme floating around
- 21:18Speaker 1: where it's like, sis, that married man is not your
- 21:20Speaker 1: soul mate. It's so true, and yeah, if he's married, no, yeah,
- 21:25Speaker 1: so bad sign. He hides his family from you, hides
- 21:28Speaker 1: his significant other, puts his phone down face down, um,
- 21:33Speaker 1: has stuff on, do not disturb, has messages muted, has
- 21:37Speaker 1: wild incognito windows everywhere on every device and ship. Let
- 21:41Speaker 1: me see what else. Um, Yeah, his stories just don't
- 21:45Speaker 1: seem to match up. Don't give him the benefit of
- 21:48Speaker 1: the doubt. He's lying. Yeah, he's likely, he's a liar.
- 21:52Speaker 1: I think a good A good thing is to just
- 21:53Speaker 1: assume that he's lying. Assume that he's lying. Let's start there.
- 21:56Speaker 1: Whatever I start talking to a new guy, I always
- 21:59Speaker 1: assume that he has a secret family and a wife.
- 22:01Speaker 1: I just start there because then I can only it
- 22:04Speaker 1: can the news can only get better if he doesn't. Historically,
- 22:08Speaker 1: that's what's happened. Right, We have all of us dated
- 22:11Speaker 1: these people that have had secret double lives. I just
- 22:15Speaker 1: triggered myself. Lord, alright, if I listen, people, listen, everyone like,
- 22:23Speaker 1: come closer, come closer, listen, tell us well, and tell
- 22:27Speaker 1: us warm your ears by this fire. Listen. Nearly every
- 22:32Speaker 1: fucking woman that I know has dated multiple guys who
- 22:36Speaker 1: ended up having a newborn baby somewhere, a fiancee somewhere,
- 22:40Speaker 1: a pregnant wife or girlfriend somewhere, us a live a
- 22:44Speaker 1: live at home, a stay at home significant other. The
- 22:46Speaker 1: list goes on and motherfucking on to this day. Bitch,
- 22:51Speaker 1: to this day, it's a mess out there. So when
- 22:54Speaker 1: we talk about like a good signs bad signs, I say,
- 22:58Speaker 1: proceed with caution on I mean, okay, not to scare you,
- 23:04Speaker 1: to scare you, so good signs. I'm going to hear
- 23:06Speaker 1: some good signs. Has a job. Um, let's see taxes. Um. Okay.
- 23:14Speaker 1: When I first started dating my man, I knew that
- 23:18Speaker 1: I wanted to make you my man good. Yes, good,
- 23:21Speaker 1: because I felt like he Um. I did obviously, of
- 23:23Speaker 1: course proceeded with caution. I wasn't like trying to get
- 23:26Speaker 1: to invest it in this person too early on. But
- 23:29Speaker 1: I knew that there was something different about him, you know.
- 23:34Speaker 1: And this was also like my first real real relationship
- 23:37Speaker 1: with a man. They hit man. So I was really
- 23:40Speaker 1: confused the whole time, you know. I was just like,
- 23:43Speaker 1: I don't get that this is all new. I felt
- 23:44Speaker 1: like I was sixteen, you know what I mean, like confusing.
- 23:46Speaker 1: It was very confusing. Um. And I don't know. A
- 23:50Speaker 1: good sign Um, if they take you around your their friends,
- 23:54Speaker 1: I think that's a good sign because they're not hiding you, right.
- 23:57Speaker 1: If they If they take you to work events like
- 24:03Speaker 1: my man has, you know, works for the city so
- 24:06Speaker 1: like I go to some work events stuff, you know, like,
- 24:08Speaker 1: I don't know if they're trying to keep these like
- 24:10Speaker 1: really clear divisions and not including you in their life.
- 24:13Speaker 1: I think that that's early on. I think that that's
- 24:16Speaker 1: a bad sign. I think that's a bad sign. I
- 24:19Speaker 1: went back to the bad signs. So they're doing it,
- 24:21Speaker 1: then that's a good sign. Okay, Good Signs, Good signs.
- 24:24Speaker 1: Good Signs is respectful of your time. Yes, UM is
- 24:27Speaker 1: supportive of your career and educational like goals, pace for dinner,
- 24:32Speaker 1: pays for dinner, pace for dates, pay for date, picks
- 24:35Speaker 1: you up, picks you up. Is not stingy all that
- 24:38Speaker 1: good stuff. UM compliments you, compliments you, does not compare
- 24:43Speaker 1: you good good if he doesn't compare you to his
- 24:47Speaker 1: previous situation, right right, right? And I think also UM,
- 24:52Speaker 1: for me, what was difficult is that my my partner
- 24:55Speaker 1: isn't word of affirmations are not his thing. I remember this, right,
- 24:59Speaker 1: So life for us was like we really had to
- 25:02Speaker 1: work at it, really had to work at it. But
- 25:05Speaker 1: that was like something I was willing to invest in,
- 25:08Speaker 1: like how do we both learn how to love each other?
- 25:12Speaker 1: Absolutely Good Signs is willing to hear about feminism and
- 25:17Speaker 1: is willing to hear about men being trash in plain
- 25:19Speaker 1: language without getting um, you know, hysterical and throwing up
- 25:24Speaker 1: sucking tantrum right, important tantrums. That is also I think
- 25:28Speaker 1: another like question that we've got on a lot is
- 25:31Speaker 1: like how do I talk to my sis head boyfriend
- 25:34Speaker 1: about feminism? Like, I don't know, if they're not willing
- 25:38Speaker 1: to like talk about or listen to what you're going through,
- 25:41Speaker 1: I mean, that's not a good sign. That's not a
- 25:43Speaker 1: good sign, you know, Yeah, yeah, because it's not just
- 25:47Speaker 1: it's not just like, oh, feminism is like this theory.
- 25:49Speaker 1: I mean, it is a theory, but it's also our
- 25:51Speaker 1: lived experience. That's you know what I mean, Like day
- 25:54Speaker 1: to day, this is what we're experiencing. The street harassment,
- 25:58Speaker 1: the internet harassment, all of it, even like the very
- 26:02Speaker 1: subtle imgressions. Yeah, we can't escape it, you know, I
- 26:06Speaker 1: can't walk down the street. So if you're not willing
- 26:09Speaker 1: to hear about it, then well that's not a good sign.
- 26:11Speaker 1: Then he doesn't care about your ass, bitch, Okay, but
- 26:15Speaker 1: we care about your asket all right. Um, let me
- 26:19Speaker 1: see what else? What else? What else? What else? Because
- 26:21Speaker 1: I know that there's more. Um oh no, this just
- 26:24Speaker 1: reminds me so like the one time I went out
- 26:27Speaker 1: in North Hollywood, like I went with Melissa, And there's
- 26:31Speaker 1: a reason I don't date white guys, y'all. Oh my god,
- 26:34Speaker 1: I remember this story. Let me count the ways. I
- 26:36Speaker 1: don't know if I've shared this story on the podcast,
- 26:38Speaker 1: but share it again. It's a funny story. It's a
- 26:41Speaker 1: good story trauma. So I go, we go out to
- 26:44Speaker 1: the valley and this white man like comes up and
- 26:46Speaker 1: is buying his drinks and talking to us. First of all,
- 26:49Speaker 1: white men are on like some other ship. Because he
- 26:51Speaker 1: starts showing us his various like cryptocurrency apps and investments,
- 26:55Speaker 1: and he's like showing us his cryptocurrency stocks and ship.
- 26:58Speaker 1: And I'm like, what the fun is he on? Like?
- 27:02Speaker 1: And then, because I like to test the waters when
- 27:04Speaker 1: I'm talking to men that I don't know, I start
- 27:07Speaker 1: talking about men being trashed. I don't know how we
- 27:09Speaker 1: got on that subject. This white man took his white
- 27:13Speaker 1: hand and covered my mouth with his white hand. When
- 27:16Speaker 1: I said men are trash, he took his white hand
- 27:19Speaker 1: and covered my mouth with it. And it was some
- 27:22Speaker 1: wild ship. And this is why I don't date white guys.
- 27:25Speaker 1: So if he does that and physically silences you when
- 27:29Speaker 1: you talk about men being trashed, he's not the one, girl, right,
- 27:34Speaker 1: thank you for that question. All right, well that was
- 27:36Speaker 1: our ted talk um. Next question, this is our last question. Okay,
- 27:42Speaker 1: this one's important. You'll pay attention. How do you know
- 27:45Speaker 1: when a guy is no longer worth chasing? First of all,
- 27:49Speaker 1: don't chase men? Never worth chasing? Never ever? Ever? What
- 27:53Speaker 1: is what is chasing me? Like? Pursuing them because they're
- 27:56Speaker 1: showing no interest in you? Because if that's the case, no,
- 28:00Speaker 1: or um, Because you know, these motherfucker's love attention and
- 28:06Speaker 1: they will dangle themselves. Men are little hussy's, bitch men
- 28:10Speaker 1: are little attention seeking hussy horrors. They are, you know,
- 28:14Speaker 1: and I know. I know because I am one too,
- 28:17Speaker 1: so I can identify the patterns of behavior when I
- 28:21Speaker 1: see them. So some sometimes these guys will instigate a
- 28:25Speaker 1: chase and they will dangle themselves. You do, girl, yes,
- 28:30Speaker 1: you do. Most of my friends they will instigate a chase,
- 28:33Speaker 1: and they will instigate like the conditions to get you
- 28:36Speaker 1: to like fawn over them, and this set or the
- 28:39Speaker 1: other right and again. Next thing, you know, wife and
- 28:43Speaker 1: kids and the whole other ship. Right, don't chase them, ever,
- 28:46Speaker 1: it's all a trap. Don't don't do it. I mean,
- 28:49Speaker 1: you can be bold and express interests and put your
- 28:52Speaker 1: intentions out there that That's what I did with current
- 28:55Speaker 1: Boom did with my partner. I will, like made it
- 28:58Speaker 1: very clear, these are my intentions. I want to date you.
- 29:01Speaker 1: I even kissed him first, because it's fool would not
- 29:03Speaker 1: kiss me because he was trying to be respectful, and
- 29:05Speaker 1: I was like, disrespect me, damn it, make out with
- 29:09Speaker 1: me already goad anyway. So I mean, like I was
- 29:13Speaker 1: very utter than the beginning of that relationship. Um, and
- 29:16Speaker 1: then I stepped back because I also needed to be wooed,
- 29:20Speaker 1: you know, and like I am also you know, the gold.
- 29:23Speaker 1: I am the prize. You know, you get to date me.
- 29:25Speaker 1: You're very lucky, you know, and that's important to remember,
- 29:29Speaker 1: Like you're the commodity, not that you're an object, but
- 29:32Speaker 1: you know what I mean, Like they're really lucky to
- 29:35Speaker 1: have you. Whoever this person is, just remember that you
- 29:38Speaker 1: are the prize, you know. And so I think it's
- 29:41Speaker 1: sometimes it's just better to like sit it out and
- 29:45Speaker 1: just chill. You know and let it come to you
- 29:48Speaker 1: because it will. They will find you. They always do,
- 29:51Speaker 1: they always do. Yeah, speaking of um, my man finally
- 29:57Speaker 1: paid for my nails finally, I'm like you must have
- 29:59Speaker 1: listened to because we were talking about nail sponsors. So
- 30:06Speaker 1: that leads us to our next segments vision. So we
- 30:12Speaker 1: are now needing to get on the same nail cycle, right.
- 30:15Speaker 1: We need our menstrual cycles to match up, and our
- 30:18Speaker 1: nail cycles also need to sync up, right. I mean
- 30:21Speaker 1: we're both on birth control, so that would happened awkward, right,
- 30:24Speaker 1: but this is the only cycle that we can get
- 30:27Speaker 1: to sync up right now, right is so what are
- 30:32Speaker 1: you doing today with? Okay? So today I am doing, um,
- 30:37Speaker 1: a nude. I wanted something you know, sometimes like a
- 30:39Speaker 1: really pretty nude can be really sexy, you know. So
- 30:43Speaker 1: I got my claws beautiful shaped, you know, so they're
- 30:47Speaker 1: even points here them before and I really liked them.
- 30:49Speaker 1: And then I also got some jewels. They're adorable. Um
- 30:52Speaker 1: it's like a subtle but still kind of flashy look,
- 30:56Speaker 1: you know. And I so the women that did my nails,
- 30:59Speaker 1: she's also at the Wittier Beauty Collective and her I
- 31:02Speaker 1: g is clawed by Jojo and she does bomb mass nails.
- 31:06Speaker 1: They're gorgeous and they do look very pointy. They're very sharp.
- 31:09Speaker 1: I'm really happy with Yeah, I got mine. They're not
- 31:13Speaker 1: quite as fresh as I would like them to be.
- 31:14Speaker 1: I got them about a week ago. But I did
- 31:16Speaker 1: like a Matt Matt salmon. Yeah. I like the Matt too.
- 31:21Speaker 1: This is my first time getting Matt and I'm into
- 31:23Speaker 1: them and I really like the color. They're a salmon.
- 31:26Speaker 1: I did a simple nail this time because last time
- 31:29Speaker 1: I had like flex the flex. Yeah, So I like
- 31:33Speaker 1: going to gloss on Sunset Yessica's spots. She recommended me there.
- 31:38Speaker 1: And it was funny because when I sat down and
- 31:40Speaker 1: got this set done, the tech who was doing my nails,
- 31:42Speaker 1: she goes, oh, your friend, yesgo was here yesterday. So
- 31:45Speaker 1: we talked about yes ago though. It was cute. Yes, perfect.
- 31:49Speaker 1: So this has been vision vision alright, So, um, we
- 31:56Speaker 1: are going to go into a songbreak or and and
- 32:06Speaker 1: and and and and and and and and and and
- 32:15Speaker 1: and and and and and and um um um um
- 32:36Speaker 1: um um um um um of it and ship. So
- 32:46Speaker 1: there's a lot that's been going on out in the world. Um,
- 32:49Speaker 1: today we're gonna do a little bit more pop culture
- 32:52Speaker 1: analysis than we usually do. We don't have a guest
- 32:55Speaker 1: or really like a super specific theme for today, but
- 32:59Speaker 1: some things have been going on in the world that
- 33:01Speaker 1: you know. Of course, we can talk about as far
- 33:03Speaker 1: as like multidimensional host ship look up pistemology ship, victim
- 33:07Speaker 1: blaming survivor center type ship. So I think something that's
- 33:10Speaker 1: on everybody's mind is the situation with Jordan Woods and
- 33:14Speaker 1: the Kardashians and Tristan Thompson and all that bullshit. So
- 33:18Speaker 1: I just want to say that we are a team
- 33:20Speaker 1: Jordan Would. We're in support of Jordan's um. She's a
- 33:24Speaker 1: young woman, twenty one years old. From my understanding, I
- 33:28Speaker 1: watched a couple of clips of that Red Table talk
- 33:30Speaker 1: that Jordan did with Jada Pinkett, and based on Jordan's
- 33:33Speaker 1: first of all, she look gorgeous. She looks so good,
- 33:35Speaker 1: makeup was flawless. Jordan's beautiful. She's very beautiful. Number one UM,
- 33:40Speaker 1: and I hope she gets a lot of work from
- 33:41Speaker 1: the Scandal tvh Like, I hope she gets hired because
- 33:44Speaker 1: you already know that they're going to try and black
- 33:46Speaker 1: ball her. Oh yeah, they will, So I hope she
- 33:48Speaker 1: flips it and makes it work for her, and I
- 33:50Speaker 1: hope that Jordan's like lands on her feet and creates
- 33:54Speaker 1: her own brand independent of the Kardashians after this. This
- 33:57Speaker 1: is maybe the break that she needed, end of a
- 34:00Speaker 1: toxic friendship. There's a theme the friendship. Yeah, there you go.
- 34:07Speaker 1: But according to Jordan Woods, her accounting of what happened
- 34:12Speaker 1: that fateful night at Tristan Thompson's home, that everyone had
- 34:17Speaker 1: been drinking, blah blah blah blah blah, She's on her
- 34:19Speaker 1: way out leaving the place, and that Tristan Thompson went
- 34:23Speaker 1: up and like kissed her and she wasn't expecting it,
- 34:26Speaker 1: she wasn't asking for it. It's not something that had
- 34:28Speaker 1: happened before. It's not something she was looking for. So
- 34:31Speaker 1: when I hear that description, I hear, uh, like she
- 34:34Speaker 1: was sexually her asked or kissed without her consent. She's
- 34:37Speaker 1: much younger than him, he's much older than her. She
- 34:40Speaker 1: had been drinking, and I'm not here for the victim
- 34:43Speaker 1: blaming shit right, no, right, And you know, um kim Alan,
- 34:48Speaker 1: my favorite like fem scholar, artists, writer, everything she tweeted
- 34:53Speaker 1: and I wanted to read this, she tweeted. Jada Pinkett
- 34:56Speaker 1: handled the conversation with so much grace and forgiveness, the
- 34:59Speaker 1: kind that is usually only afforded when white boys commit
- 35:02Speaker 1: actual crimes. She made a point to remind Jordan that
- 35:05Speaker 1: she has loved, she has family, and this is not
- 35:08Speaker 1: all that will define her. And I think that's really important,
- 35:11Speaker 1: especially for black women. Right. The Kardashians have profited, made
- 35:15Speaker 1: an entire empire off of like taking the black culture. Yeah,
- 35:20Speaker 1: this actual black woman is being harassed, sent death threats,
- 35:23Speaker 1: her sister can't go to school, her mom can't go
- 35:26Speaker 1: to work. I don't know what I mean, like over
- 35:28Speaker 1: a kiss. Right, And then folks are also blaming um
- 35:35Speaker 1: the end of the Chloe's marriage with Tristan, when we
- 35:38Speaker 1: know that that's not that was not the end. You know,
- 35:40Speaker 1: this was not the marker that defined the end of
- 35:43Speaker 1: their relationship. Now and Chloe, my dear, my sweetie, you
- 35:47Speaker 1: lose him how you got Yes, let there be a
- 35:52Speaker 1: lesson for everybody, and you will lose him the exact
- 35:56Speaker 1: same way that you got on. Sweetheart, you are not
- 35:58Speaker 1: the exception. He's not going to change for you. That
- 36:01Speaker 1: fairy tale does not exist. Don't believe the hype. You
- 36:05Speaker 1: took him from his pregnant like girlfriend fiance. Right, This
- 36:10Speaker 1: is his pattern, This is what he does. This is
- 36:13Speaker 1: his m O. Right, so we can't expect anything else.
- 36:17Speaker 1: Going back to what are the good signs and the
- 36:18Speaker 1: bad signs? If he leaves his pregnant fiance to be
- 36:23Speaker 1: with you, that's bad. He will do that to you.
- 36:26Speaker 1: He will do that to you, guaranteed. Just don't wait
- 36:29Speaker 1: for it to happen to you. Right. So, anyway, pro
- 36:33Speaker 1: Jordan's Jordan, I'm in support of Jordan. I'm not here
- 36:36Speaker 1: for any of the bashing of her, the victim blaming.
- 36:39Speaker 1: She didn't do anything wrong. In my opinion, Jordan Woods
- 36:42Speaker 1: did nothing wrong and she didn't deserve this backlash. Well, okay,
- 36:45Speaker 1: so I guess I have been following it, and it's
- 36:47Speaker 1: so funny because yesterday I don't know. I'm also not
- 36:50Speaker 1: a Kardashian follower fan. I don't even follow any of
- 36:53Speaker 1: them on social media. You know what, if you do whatever,
- 36:57Speaker 1: But I have been following this, and probably because Jordan
- 36:59Speaker 1: would is in it, and I actually had never heard
- 37:01Speaker 1: of her until this all happened. But I was at
- 37:03Speaker 1: so for her. Yesterday and the women were talking about it.
- 37:06Speaker 1: The makeup artists were like, I don't know why I'm
- 37:08Speaker 1: so invested in this drama, but I've been following it.
- 37:10Speaker 1: Everyone around me has been talking about it everyone, So
- 37:15Speaker 1: I think I think that's also why we wanted to say, like,
- 37:19Speaker 1: you know, we support Jordan Woods, and like people are
- 37:21Speaker 1: really going to try and drag her through the mud.
- 37:24Speaker 1: And it's so much easier when it's a woman of color,
- 37:27Speaker 1: especially a black woman, to just try and tarnish her
- 37:30Speaker 1: name and her reputation, like ruin her. And we had
- 37:34Speaker 1: we've talked about this in depth. We have an entire
- 37:37Speaker 1: episode about and this sort of pathologizing that happens when
- 37:42Speaker 1: you are classified and put into the spot of being
- 37:44Speaker 1: the other woman or the mistress. It is this marginalized
- 37:48Speaker 1: like social positioning. We can talk about Monica Lewinsky, we
- 37:52Speaker 1: can talk about all these different women historically who have
- 37:55Speaker 1: just been trashed and just thrown, you know, dragged through
- 37:58Speaker 1: the mud, like you're saying, their involvement with an ancient
- 38:01Speaker 1: man who was doing something he was not supposed to
- 38:04Speaker 1: be doing to begin with, the blame is always placed
- 38:08Speaker 1: on that woman and this is just another instance, you know,
- 38:11Speaker 1: and history repeats itself, and it's just so wild that
- 38:14Speaker 1: like we love falling into this, like we love throwing
- 38:17Speaker 1: stones at like a wayward woman that we think did
- 38:20Speaker 1: something she wasn't supposed to do. It's like this like
- 38:25Speaker 1: social sport that we engage in, and it's fucked up.
- 38:28Speaker 1: I'm not here for it. I think. Also, we like
- 38:30Speaker 1: love a villain, and we love when the villain is
- 38:32Speaker 1: a beautiful woman. You know. I think any any opportunity
- 38:36Speaker 1: to really like tear a woman down, we will see
- 38:39Speaker 1: social media do it at all levels, like women doing it,
- 38:44Speaker 1: men doing it, of course, men doing it, like calling
- 38:47Speaker 1: her a hoe, calling her all kinds of names. Any
- 38:49Speaker 1: opportunity to really be a misogynist, they'll take it, take it,
- 38:54Speaker 1: you know. So there, so there, I think, um, And
- 39:00Speaker 1: I wanted to say something. I've heard some people saying
- 39:02Speaker 1: things like Jordan's like, oh so much to the Kardashians,
- 39:07Speaker 1: because as if like Jordan's is like poor and impoverished
- 39:11Speaker 1: when she comes from like an elite black family and
- 39:14Speaker 1: comes from her own like wealth separately and apart from
- 39:18Speaker 1: the Kardashians, which I think was also so I really
- 39:22Speaker 1: liked the way Jada framed the conversation of like we're
- 39:26Speaker 1: still we're your family, and like we're here to protect you,
- 39:29Speaker 1: and like, you know, let's be honest, and you know,
- 39:32Speaker 1: we've all made mistakes. And I love that Jada said,
- 39:34Speaker 1: like I have been there in one way or another,
- 39:37Speaker 1: you know, because we've all done something shady at some
- 39:40Speaker 1: point in our lives, especially a sucking twenty one. Let
- 39:45Speaker 1: me not even I don't even want to get into it.
- 39:47Speaker 1: I can't get into it for legal reason. Literally we
- 39:51Speaker 1: shall not get on record and not talking about that,
- 39:55Speaker 1: but nice try, right. I think also like the Kardashian family,
- 40:01Speaker 1: like we've talked about them before when we have our
- 40:04Speaker 1: don't leak my nudes episode, like Rob Kardashian leaking Black
- 40:08Speaker 1: China's New you know, like they're not like some holier
- 40:12Speaker 1: than now family, you know that, like poor me, I
- 40:17Speaker 1: don't feel bad for them. I don't look at them
- 40:20Speaker 1: as like upstanding members of the community that are like
- 40:23Speaker 1: an example of ethical and moral behavior at all by
- 40:27Speaker 1: any stretch of the imagination. It's really fucking weird. Anyways,
- 40:32Speaker 1: um x out, Chloe, You're being a dumb bitch. I'm
- 40:36Speaker 1: just saying it's not cute. It's too much. It's not cute,
- 40:40Speaker 1: and it's not cute. Get your man, No, don't get
- 40:43Speaker 1: your man. Believe him, you know, get your kid. Keep going, like,
- 40:48Speaker 1: stop trying to bring this young girl. You know you
- 40:52Speaker 1: can send down. You can send out a public tweet
- 40:54Speaker 1: talking about your cheating husband. She did, actually she did.
- 40:58Speaker 1: I actually saw it this morning because she shared it.
- 41:01Speaker 1: She said, what's this is? This morning? Literally March second.
- 41:04Speaker 1: What's been harder and more painful is being hurt by
- 41:07Speaker 1: someone so close to me, someone who whom I love
- 41:09Speaker 1: and treat like a little sister. But Jordan's is not
- 41:12Speaker 1: to be blamed for the breakup of my family. This
- 41:14Speaker 1: was Tristan Well, good b thank you for acknowledging. Yeah,
- 41:18Speaker 1: because people were tweeting at her yesterday because she tweeted
- 41:21Speaker 1: something stupid, so she had to come and correct herself backpedal. Lord. Yeah,
- 41:28Speaker 1: the drama. It's true. It's also like a obviously like
- 41:33Speaker 1: a large scale example. This is a very public thing
- 41:35Speaker 1: that happened. But literally like your partner, you know, you
- 41:39Speaker 1: being married him and having a kid with with him,
- 41:42Speaker 1: with whomever this partner is, and then like cheating on
- 41:45Speaker 1: you like, it's a very real example. It's happened to us,
- 41:48Speaker 1: it's happened to our mom's, it's happened to someone in
- 41:50Speaker 1: our family, our friends, you know what I mean. And
- 41:53Speaker 1: the woman is not to be blamed really truly, it's
- 41:58Speaker 1: not her fault, you know. Yeah, now, yes, yes, absolutely,
- 42:03Speaker 1: because she didn't make the wedding value. She's not in
- 42:05Speaker 1: a relationship. Like if you really want to get mad
- 42:07Speaker 1: at someone, you need to get mad at the person
- 42:09Speaker 1: who actually betrayed you and broke your trust and had
- 42:12Speaker 1: an agreement with you. We can have our feelings, you
- 42:15Speaker 1: know about the folks that are significant others leave us
- 42:19Speaker 1: for We can have those feelings, your internal to your feelings.
- 42:22Speaker 1: But why the public dragging, Why the scarlet letter? Why right?
- 42:26Speaker 1: Why any home? Go Jordan's I'm here for you and
- 42:32Speaker 1: you look great, girl, she does look great. So this
- 42:37Speaker 1: has been another has been a we're wrapping up now,
- 42:43Speaker 1: we are wrapping up. We have said a lot today today,
- 42:47Speaker 1: thank you for listening. So we wanted to end with
- 42:50Speaker 1: some March announcements. We have a lot of stuff happening. Yes,
- 42:54Speaker 1: so we have our Sun Valley Library Branch workshop. Sorry
- 43:01Speaker 1: to pull the date one on. So on March fourteenth,
- 43:09Speaker 1: we will have our Sun Value Workshop at five thirty
- 43:11Speaker 1: pm and that is actually a three part series. So
- 43:15Speaker 1: we will be having three workshops at Sun Valley Library
- 43:19Speaker 1: Branch and that will be the first of three and
- 43:22Speaker 1: that's podcasting one oh one, So unlike the other library
- 43:26Speaker 1: branch podcasting one o one workshops, that one is going
- 43:28Speaker 1: to be broken up, so it's going to be sequential, right,
- 43:32Speaker 1: so you can come to the first workshop and get
- 43:34Speaker 1: the first piece of information and then the second workshop
- 43:37Speaker 1: is a follow up and continuing the info. Right, So
- 43:39Speaker 1: planned to come to all three. We will post all
- 43:42Speaker 1: three dates um and we're gonna teach you how to
- 43:45Speaker 1: build your podcast in chunks like that, so please join us.
- 43:48Speaker 1: It's going to be cute. And then the following day, Friday,
- 43:51Speaker 1: March fift we are going to FEMC at the Echo,
- 43:56Speaker 1: so we're really excited. It's their Women of Gumbia events,
- 44:01Speaker 1: their takeover and we love this party with them seed

- 44:08Speaker 1: was a good fucking time and we cannot wait for
- 44:12Speaker 1: so much fun. It's going to be amazing. Their lineup
- 44:15Speaker 1: is incredible, so they are going to be featuring different
- 44:18Speaker 1: DJs from across the U s So DJ ben Bona

- 44:25Speaker 1: the House, our favorite l A, DJ Sizzle, Fantastic, Funky Garamello,

- 44:34Speaker 1: and a live performance by It's gonna be a night,
- 44:38Speaker 1: it's going to be an event. It's going to be
- 44:39Speaker 1: an occasion. We're gonna go and party and have a

- 44:45Speaker 1: bring your friends, think about what you want to drink.
- 44:49Speaker 1: There's going to be vendors come ready to shake your ass.
- 44:53Speaker 1: It's going to be cute, you know. Also, the last
- 44:55Speaker 1: we don't really remember. We don't really remember their December
- 44:59Speaker 1: one there, but that's all right. That's how that was
- 45:03Speaker 1: sent off. I didn't necessarily want to remember, right right
