- 0:00Double back alert, double back alert, double back alert folks.
- 0:06That's right.
- 0:07We got a loaded episode, okay, full of twists and turns, ups and downs.
- 0:12You already know how these episodes go.
- 0:14Okay.
- 0:15We got a back alert on top of trades.
- 0:18Okay.
- 0:19Man, old man, the trade deadline continues to never fails us folks.
- 0:25I called it.
- 0:26I called it.
- 0:27I said at least two blockbuster trades were going to happen.
- 0:31We had one, well two if you want to count Zidarius, but I only count one with a March
- 0:35on Laddermore, but who cares all about that?
- 0:37Okay.
- 0:38Because guess what?
- 0:39Jonathan Cooper gets paid.
- 0:40Chubba Huber gets paid.
- 0:41Bering Brown is traded to the Cardinals.
- 0:44Dennis Allen gets fired.
- 0:45The Raiders lose and in doing so clean the offensive staff completely.
- 0:50The Cowboys are cooked, Habachi style.
- 0:53The commanders continue to win.
- 0:56The Bears are struggling and I mean struggling.
- 0:59You would think that it is hibernation season for them folks.
- 1:02The Ravens finally get back into the winning column.
- 1:05The Eagles barely get a win.
- 1:07The Chiefs of Bucks, we have to talk about it even though Thursday night football happened.
- 1:11Maybe we'll talk about that as well.
- 1:13Trade deadline recap and gut check time.
- 1:16Yeah.
- 1:17That's right.
- 1:18Gut check.
- 1:19It's time that we have some uncomfortable conversations about where certain teams are
- 1:23at at this point in the season.
- 1:25Okay.
- 1:26All of this and more on the 47th episode of the Football Junkies Podcast.
- 1:31Okay.
- 1:32I am your host with the most.
- 1:33Okay.
- 1:34I'm your chief Bagrodamus.
- 1:36I'm your chief head of the table.
- 1:38Okay.
- 1:39Chief bag meteorologist.
- 1:42Okay.
- 1:43But most importantly, I am your GM who currently is not on a team right now.
- 1:47But don't you worry about it.
- 1:49Okay.
- 1:50Don't you worry your little mind about that.
- 1:52Okay.
- 1:53Because guess what?
- 1:54I know it's been a while, but guess what?
- 2:03It's time to give you guys the football fix that you guys need before this week because
- 2:07we're going to have some loaded games this week and I cannot wait.
- 2:10So guess what?
- 2:11On three.
- 2:12One, two, three.
- 2:13Let's lock in.
- 2:14All right, folks, let's get into the meat and potatoes of everything that is going on
- 2:42in the league and let me tell you something.
- 2:44A lot has happened in this week alone for the league.
- 2:48Okay.
- 2:49So let's just go into everything.
- 2:52Let's not waste any more time.
- 2:53Okay.
- 2:54Jonathan Cooper outside linebacker for the Broncos gets paid four years, $60 million,
- 3:00$33 million guaranteed.
- 3:02That's around ballpark around maybe 15, 14 to 15 million a year depending on the incentives
- 3:07and all those different things.
- 3:09Okay.
- 3:10So let's look at his stats for 2023.
- 3:1270 tackles, eight and a half sacks, one interception.
- 3:16Okay.
- 3:17This is what I will say for somebody who was a seventh round pick to be as productive as
- 3:24he has been with the Broncos, definitely says a lot.
- 3:28And you know, he is definitely emerged as one of the bright spots on that Broncos defense
- 3:33outside of Patrick Sertain.
- 3:35You could probably make a strong case that he probably is one of the most important people
- 3:40on that defense and he continues to show it.
- 3:44And you know, if we're being real here, this is a deal that is somewhat of a team friendly
- 3:48deal.
- 3:49This isn't a deal that, you know, it's going to break the bank or it's going to, you know,
- 3:54put them in a bad spot and as the years go down the road, no, it's a fairly really good
- 4:00deal.
- 4:01You take care of a young player while at the same time, you know, it doesn't necessarily
- 4:05break the bank, which is great.
- 4:08Because again, the Broncos are in a spot where, you know, they're going to have a lot of catch
- 4:13trace moving forward and that's going to allow them to continue to build onto this team.
- 4:19Because again, let's be real here.
- 4:21The Broncos are really good team.
- 4:23That defense has been playing phenomenal.
- 4:25Okay.
- 4:26And mind you, this is a defense that doesn't have a whole bunch of talent outside of PS
- 4:31two, their safety and then Jonathan Cooper.
- 4:35Now if there's anybody else that I'm not thinking of my apologies to you, no disrespect to you
- 4:39OG, but you know, the Broncos are in a really good spot.
- 4:44And you know, as much flack as we for the, for the handling of Russell Wilson, sometimes
- 4:51it has to get ugly before it gets good.
- 4:54And now they're in a good space.
- 4:56And as long as they maintain this consistency, they will be able to be a problem for the
- 5:02Chiefs moving forward.
- 5:04Now moving on to Chubbahubbitt, all right, running back for the Carolina Panthers.
- 5:10He inked a four year 33.2 million dollar deal that has a max value of 37.2 million.
- 5:16Okay.
- 5:17That's about 15 million give or take fully guaranteed.
- 5:21So he'll be making about eight to nine million a year.
- 5:25If I'm not mistaken, I could be wrong.
- 5:26I don't have my calculator with me.
- 5:29But when we look at the stats though, okay, 238 attempts for 902 rushing yards, 3.8 rushing
- 5:35yards per carry, five touchdowns and 21 rushes of 10 plus yards or more.
- 5:41Now for him to be as productive as he has been in the situation that the Panthers have
- 5:48been in, definitely says a lot.
- 5:50Chubbahubbitt has been doing his thing.
- 5:53He has been balling.
- 5:55He minds you, he's doing this behind a very lackluster offensive line and we can be honest
- 6:01here.
- 6:02And, you know, for him to do this, you know, it's only up from here.
- 6:06It really is.
- 6:07It's not a deal that's going to break the bank.
- 6:09It's not a deal that, you know, they're going to have to restructure, you know, as the years
- 6:14go by and whatnot.
- 6:15No, this is very team friendly deal.
- 6:17The running back market is fairly, you know, I wouldn't say average, but it's very, it's
- 6:24very low, right?
- 6:26Outside of, you know, the big names, the Christian McCaffrey's, the Alvin Cameras, the Jonathan
- 6:30Taylor's, the Derek Henry's of the world, everybody under that really isn't making a
- 6:35whole lot of money.
- 6:36So you're taking care of a position that, you know, the team must, you know, must value
- 6:42a whole lot while at the same time, you're making sure that you are not overpaying for
- 6:47somebody.
- 6:48So all in all, great situation for them.
- 6:51Now let's get into this bearing Browning trade before we get into the other trades.
- 6:56Okay.
- 6:57So bearing Browning former Denver Broncos, our past rusher was traded from the Broncos
- 7:02to the Cardinals.
- 7:03The Cardinals, of course, received bearing Browning and the Broncos received a sixth
- 7:07round pick.
- 7:08Now, when we look at this, you know, bearing Browning at this point really didn't have
- 7:14a spot with the Broncos, especially with Jonathan Cooper being as productive as he has been.
- 7:20And so the best thing to do is to just send him into another, you know, another place
- 7:26where he would be a starter and that he can have a chance to be, you know, honestly speaking
- 7:31here, like, you know, it's a good situation because again, the Cardinals have been looking
- 7:35for a productive past rusher, you know, for a while and they were able to find it without
- 7:40having to give up a whole lot to get it while at the same time, you know, a young piece that
- 7:46you can build off of.
- 7:48Right.
- 7:49And again, this Cardinals team, low key has been playing fairly well.
- 7:54They have.
- 7:55They actually surprised me.
- 7:56If you would have told me that the Cardinals would be playing as well as they have played,
- 8:00I would have called you a liar.
- 8:03And you know, hats off to the head coach for doing what he's doing.
- 8:07I mean, they're playing well.
- 8:09They're playing well on both sides.
- 8:11And again, this is the recipe for these young teams to be ultra competitive, not only in
- 8:18their division, but, you know, in the league as a whole, you have a young team, young core,
- 8:25you keep things fairly low as far as like, you know, spending and, you know, trading
- 8:30for people and whatnot.
- 8:32And you just build off that.
- 8:34And so far, they're in the right direction.
- 8:35Now they have to go through some bumpy roads.
- 8:37Yes, they did.
- 8:38They did have to go through, you know, some a little bit of turmoil, but guess what?
- 8:42They're on the other side of it.
- 8:43And it's only up from here at this point.
- 8:45As long as they maintain, you know, the course.
- 8:49Now if they try to go left with it, then that's when you that's when you're going to start
- 8:52to see, you know, the worst of it.
- 8:55Now onto one of the first games that we have to cover.
- 8:58And that is the Saints versus the Panthers.
- 9:00Okay.
- 9:01So before we get into all the stuff related to Dennis Allen, well, we'll go there when
- 9:05we go there.
- 9:06Okay.
- 9:07So Bryce young was 16 for 26, 171 passing yards, one touchdown on one pick, 6.6 yards
- 9:13per attempt in a 61.5 completion percentage.
- 9:16Okay.
- 9:17Chuck Hubbard 15 attempts for 72 rushing yards, 4.8 rushing yards per carry, two rushes of
- 9:2210 plus yards or more.
- 9:24Jitavion Sanders, five targets for four receptions, 87 receiving yards, 21.8 receiving yards per
- 9:31carry.
- 9:32Derek Carr 18, 31, 236 passing yards, one touchdown on 7.6 yards per attempt in a 58.1
- 9:40completion percentage.
- 9:41Okay.
- 9:42So, John Camara 29 rushes of 155 rushing yards, 5.3 rushing yards per carry and three rushes
- 9:48of 10 plus yards or more.
- 9:50Taysom Hill, five targets for four receptions, 41 receiving yards, 10.3 receiving yards per
- 9:55reception.
- 9:56Now, when we look at this, you know, this was definitely a game where, you know, if the
- 10:01Saints would have won, it would have, it would have tamped down the flames, right?
- 10:05It would have tamped down a lot of the outside noise that was starting to, you know, grow
- 10:10and grow and grow.
- 10:12Basically, because, you know, at this point, one can make a case that Dennis Allen, you
- 10:17know, was basically playing for his job.
- 10:21And you know, for him to lose to the Panthers, it's not good.
- 10:26The Saints have lost seven games straight, seven games, seven games.
- 10:32That is unacceptable.
- 10:34And I get it.
- 10:35This team doesn't really have the best roster, I get all of that, but still to lose seven
- 10:42straight is unacceptable.
- 10:45That is the reason why, you know, the owner decided that she wanted to go in a different
- 10:50direction and fire Dennis Allen.
- 10:53But before we get into her quote, I'm just going to read to you his coaching record since
- 10:582022, right?
- 10:59So here we go.
- 11:00In 2022, seven wins, 10 losses in 2023, nine wins, eight losses in 2024.
- 11:08He was two and seven.
- 11:09He lost and as I just said, he lost seven straight.
- 11:12If we're being real here, the only good record was probably 2023.
- 11:17And even then, that's not even really good.
- 11:19It's only good now because we're about to hit an 18 week season.
- 11:25That's the only reason why.
- 11:27Outside of that, these are not really good records.
- 11:30These are not.
- 11:31These are unacceptable records.
- 11:32And granted, for the longest time, the Saints were, you know, that dominant team in their
- 11:38division and as time progressed and, you know, once Drew Brees retired, they didn't properly
- 11:44prepare, you know, for Drew Brees, you know, to retire, let alone did they really prepare
- 11:50to, you know, to do whatever they needed to do.
- 11:53Once Sean Payton decided that he wanted to leave the Saints and granted, I get it.
- 11:58It's hard to, you know, go behind a legendary, you know, head coach and try to find your
- 12:05own way.
- 12:06I get all of that.
- 12:07But, you know, this was a game where you could sort of, you know, have some momentum
- 12:12and sort of regain your locker room because at this point, it's probably safe to say that,
- 12:18you know, a lot of those players, especially the veteran players have checked out mentally
- 12:23like they, they're over the season.
- 12:26They just want to get through with the season, get their money, go on vacation and figure
- 12:30out what they want to do, you know, with their career moving forward.
- 12:34That's just where they are.
- 12:35And, you know, it sucks, you know, it sucks for someone like a Cam Jordan, who, you know,
- 12:42he's been there this entire time.
- 12:44And this is probably the lowest low that he's been a part of.
- 12:48Like this is probably one of the worst teams.
- 12:51And, you know, once you lose your veterans in the locker room, that's it.
- 12:57And you can tell by his body language, if you, if you guys haven't seen the video, there's
- 13:02a video circling around of Cam Jordan walking.
- 13:06He's just, he's just trying to get some fresh air, just trying to, you know, calm his nerves.
- 13:10And Derek Carr is running behind him, trying to like, you know, talk to him and whatnot.
- 13:15And you can just see in his face that he's just like, he's done.
- 13:20He's over it.
- 13:21He doesn't want to, you know, he doesn't want to continue to go through the sense and the
- 13:26foolishness that is this team right now.
- 13:29And, you know, it sucks.
- 13:31It really does.
- 13:32But let's get into this statement and continue to move forward.
- 13:36So this is what she says in that quote, talking about Dennis Allen, okay.
- 13:40He is highly regarded within the NFL.
- 13:43He has been extremely loyal and professional and most importantly an excellent football
- 13:47coach for us.
- 13:48All of this makes today very tough for me in our organization.
- 13:51However, this decision is something that I felt we needed to make at this time.
- 13:56I wish nothing but the best in the future for Dennis and his family.
- 13:59He will always be considered in the highest regard by me and everyone within our organization.
- 14:05That is a statement to where basically saying you were okay, but it's time we go a separate
- 14:12way because this is not working.
- 14:15This is not working.
- 14:16We're not winning.
- 14:18We're not being competitive.
- 14:20It's just not, it's not good for business.
- 14:23And it shows, it shows.
- 14:25If you are a Saints fan right now, especially a season ticket holder Saints fan, you are
- 14:31probably wanting to sell a lot of your tickets because there's no point in really going to
- 14:38the games.
- 14:39It really isn't.
- 14:40And if I'm Alvin Camara, I'm low key sort of second guess in my decision about signing
- 14:45signing that extension.
- 14:46But granted, you know, he probably wanted to be, he wanted to, you know, retire a Saint
- 14:51and that's perfectly fine.
- 14:53I get that.
- 14:54But bro, the amount of talent that you had, if you went on one of these winning teams,
- 14:58man, you would be, you will be putting up cool, cool for Cocoa Puffs type numbers, man.
- 15:06But again, I can't, you know, have, have a conversation with Alvin Camara.
- 15:10So let's get into this Raiders and Bagels game.
- 15:13Okay.
- 15:14So let's get into the game.
- 15:16Man, what, what can you say about this game?
- 15:18This game was a bad game for the Raiders, but Raiders be the Raiders, right?
- 15:24But let's get into these stats.
- 15:25Okay.
- 15:26So Gardner mentioned was 10 for 17, 124 passing yards, 7.3 yards per 10 and a 58.8 completion
- 15:33percentage.
- 15:34Okay.
- 15:35Desmond Redder 11 for 16, 74 passing yards, one touchdown, 4.6 yards per 10 and a 68.6
- 15:42completion percentage.
- 15:43I've been wondering why am I listing Desmond Redder because Desmond Redder came in for
- 15:48Gardner, meant you, uh, after he was bounced.
- 15:51Okay.
- 15:52We're just going to leave it there.
- 15:54Now, Alexander Madison, nine attempts for 36 rushing yards, four rushing yards per carry.
- 15:59Okay.
- 16:00Jacoby Myers 11 targets for eight receptions, 105 receiving yards, 13.1 receiving yards
- 16:06per reception.
- 16:07Joe Burrell 27 for 39, 251 passing yards, five touchdowns, one pick, 6.4 yards per
- 16:14attempt and 69.2 completion percentage.
- 16:17Okay.
- 16:18Mike Kaseki, six targets for five receptions, 100 receiving yards, two touchdowns, 20 receiving
- 16:23yards per reception.
- 16:25Chase Brown 27 attempts for 120 rushing yards, 4.4 rushing yards per carry and two rushes
- 16:31of 10 plus yards or more.
- 16:33Now, when we look at this, you know, the bangles are starting to, you know, show that they
- 16:38are that dark horse that people are going to have to be concerned about.
- 16:42Joe Burrow, as of this point is probably having statistically his best year.
- 16:47Okay.
- 16:48You were talking about somebody that is throwing multiple touchdowns in one game.
- 16:53I'm talking about two and three, maybe even more touchdowns a game just to win.
- 16:58And a lot of that has to do with, you know, the defense being, you know, crappy and whatnot.
- 17:03So there's more weight put on his shoulders, but hey, they paid him the money that they
- 17:09paid him because they believe that he could do this.
- 17:11And so far he's been balling out as of right now, if we can be honest here, I think, and
- 17:18this is just my opinion, I can definitely be wrong.
- 17:21I think the MVP race is definitely between Lamar, Jerry golf, Joe Burrow and Derek Henry.
- 17:29I think those, those are the ones that right now, those are like the runner-ups for MVP.
- 17:35Now, can someone like Josh Allen, could he sneak in there?
- 17:39You probably most likely, could there be other other people that could, you know, sneak in
- 17:43there as well?
- 17:44Yes.
- 17:45It's definitely Lamar, Joe Burrow, Jerry golf and Derek Henry, 100% of the way.
- 17:51Now for the Raiders, you know, this Raiders team is not good.
- 17:57And you know, it sucks for someone like a Max Crosby because, you know, you have basically
- 18:02given your whole career to a team that really has not been competitive for a very long time.
- 18:09Out of that one year where they had Derek Carr and Darren Waller and Josh Jacobs and,
- 18:17you know, Hunter Renfrow and company, outside of that, they really have not been that good.
- 18:24And you know, it's just bad.
- 18:26It's a bad situation for Max Crosby.
- 18:29And I would have thought that, you know, the Raiders would have just, you know, traded
- 18:33him and put him in a different situation, not necessarily sending him to the Chiefs,
- 18:38but you could just send him out of the conference in its entirety, send him to the Lions.
- 18:43And you could have gotten probably a King's ransom for it.
- 18:47Honestly speaking here, like, let's be real here, this Raiders team on both sides of the
- 18:53ball is not competitive.
- 18:55That offense, let me tell you the offensive rankings for the Raiders.
- 18:59Okay.
- 19:00So their passing offense is ranked 19th in the league.
- 19:04Okay.
- 19:05So they have a 63.7 pass play percentage, 203.3 passing yards per game, which is the equivalent
- 19:14of 5.2 passing yards per play and nine touchdowns.
- 19:18That is not good, folks.
- 19:20That is below average, if we can be real here.
- 19:24Now when you look at their rushing offense, it is dead last, dead last in this league,
- 19:3176.9 rushing yards per game, which translates to 3.5 rushing yards per play in seven touchdowns.
- 19:38It's not good.
- 19:39It's not good.
- 19:40And that is exactly why Antonio Pierce decided that he was going to clean house for the offense.
- 19:44And in doing so, he has fired offensive coordinator, Luke Getze, online coach, James Craig, and
- 19:51quarterback coach, Rich, uh, Scurrangelo.
- 19:54If I'm pronouncing your last name, my apologies don't mean to do an old purpose.
- 19:58You know, this is what I will say.
- 20:00The Raiders have a lot of big decisions that they have to make moving forward, not only
- 20:05for, you know, positions, but as well as coaching.
- 20:09Because at this point, what is the bright spot outside of Max Crosby?
- 20:14Please, can somebody tell me what is the bright spot for the Raiders?
- 20:18There is none.
- 20:19There, this Raiders team has been playing very mediocre.
- 20:25And if you are, you know, an owner of this team, well, not even an owner, but if you
- 20:30are a shareholder of this team, you should be disappointed to know that you put your
- 20:36money into this team and this team has not done anything.
- 20:40You got the big stadium.
- 20:42You got, you know, all these different types of things.
- 20:44You have loyal fans that continue to show up for these games, knowing that this team
- 20:50is not able to compete.
- 20:53I guarantee you right now, if you had the Raiders and the Panthers go up against one another,
- 20:58I guarantee you the Panthers were probably put up 30 points on the Raiders head.
- 21:04And that's sad.
- 21:05That is honestly 100% sad.
- 21:07And if you are a quarterback for next year's draft, oh, you better, you better think about
- 21:13it because if you wind up with the Raiders, best believe that rookie year is going to be
- 21:19hell.
- 21:20Now onto another game that we have to talk about that is the Cowboys versus the Falcons.
- 21:26Yes.
- 21:27Yes.
- 21:28I already know.
- 21:30I already know.
- 21:32So let's just get into everything before we talk about all of the stuff.
- 21:35Okay.
- 21:36So that press got 18 for 24, 133 passing yards, one touchdown, 5.5 yards per attempt and a
- 21:4375 completion percentage.
- 21:44Cooper Rush, 13 for 25, 115 passing yards, one touchdown, 4.6 yards per attempt and a
- 21:5152 completion percentage.
- 21:53Jake Ferguson, 10 targets for seven receptions, 71 receiving yards and 10.1 receiving yards
- 21:58per reception.
- 21:59Rico Dow, 12 attempts for 75 rushing yards, 6.3 rushing yards per carry and three rushes
- 22:06of 10 plus yards or more.
- 22:08Kirk Cousins, 19 for 24, 222 passing yards, three touchdowns, 9.3 yards per attempt and
- 22:14a 79.2 completion percentage.
- 22:17Bijon Robinson, 19 attempts for 86 rushing yards, excuse me, 4.5 rushing yards per carry
- 22:23and two rushes of 10 plus yards or more.
- 22:26Darnell Mooney, 9 targets for five receptions, 88 receiving yards, one touchdown, 17.6 receiving
- 22:32yards per reception.
- 22:33Now, this is what I will say.
- 22:35Yeah.
- 22:36The Cowboys season is really over.
- 22:37Like the Cowboys are like really, really done.
- 22:40And it sucks because now Dak is probably going to be out for an extended period of time with
- 22:45reports coming out that he basically tore his hamstring off the bone.
- 22:50The bone, ladies and gentlemen, the bone.
- 22:53That's not good.
- 22:54That is not good at all.
- 22:56If you are a Cowboys fan, I am very sorry for you, but at the same time, I am not sorry
- 23:02for you simply because your owner slash GM slash every other title you could possibly
- 23:08think of decided that, you know, you wanted to spend your entire off season trying to
- 23:14resign both Dak and CDLM instead of trying to at least make this team a little bit competitive,
- 23:21just a little bit because as of right now, this Cowboys team is not going anywhere.
- 23:27It's not going anywhere for a long time.
- 23:29And, you know, it sucks for Mike McCarthy because the last two seasons, they've been
- 23:34dominant.
- 23:35They've been doing their thing.
- 23:36They were winning a lot of games.
- 23:38They were ultra competitive.
- 23:39The office was putting up numbers.
- 23:41The defense were doing their thing.
- 23:43But you know, he's going to be the sacrificial name in this.
- 23:48Everyone's going to say, oh, it's Mike McCarthy's fault that the Cowboys are where they are.
- 23:52No, not really.
- 23:53Jerry had had an opportunity to get someone like a Derek Henry.
- 23:58Why couldn't afford them?
- 24:00Why I don't know the Cowboys of old are gone.
- 24:05Let's just be real here at the time where, you know, Jerry was a little bit aggressive
- 24:09and free agency.
- 24:10And, you know, he was able to use his influence to bring in players and whatnot.
- 24:16That time has passed.
- 24:17It's gone.
- 24:19And what you have now is basically a team who is more about glitz and glamour and having
- 24:25prime time games and looking nice in their uniforms compared to wanting to, you know,
- 24:31be competitive and try to win games and, you know, try to at least make it to the playoffs
- 24:36and maybe even win the Super Bowl.
- 24:38That's just what it is.
- 24:40This Cowboys team could have been very, very, very, very competitive, not only in their
- 24:45division, but in the entire league had they done certain things, you know, two or three
- 24:50years ago compared to now.
- 24:53You continue to want to take care of your star players.
- 24:56I get that.
- 24:58But at some point, sometimes you have to make certain changes if it means that you have
- 25:03a better chance of not only just winning regular season games, but playing in January and February.
- 25:09And Jerry doesn't want to do that.
- 25:11He doesn't.
- 25:12He wants to continue to have his power over this team.
- 25:16And as long as Jerry Jones has power over the Dallas Cowboys, the Cowboys will not go
- 25:22anywhere.
- 25:23And I mean that from the bottom of my heart.
- 25:27He couldn't bring someone like a Bill Belichick or a Mike Vrable or someone like that.
- 25:32He couldn't do it because why those type of coaches, they're going to run things their
- 25:37way or the highway and they have no problem going somewhere else.
- 25:41They have no problem, you know, sending out another year.
- 25:45It's no problem for them.
- 25:47And you know, if we can be real here, this offense is not that good.
- 25:51Zeke at this point just needs to retire.
- 25:54He does.
- 25:55He he's lost his burst.
- 25:57He's not that, you know, that same running back to how he was a few years ago.
- 26:02And he has just aged like bananas.
- 26:06Yeah, those bananas that that's in your grandmother's, you know, fruit basket that's in the middle
- 26:11of the kitchen that's been sitting there for about two or three weeks.
- 26:14Yeah, it's mushy.
- 26:15It's ugly.
- 26:16It got a little smell to it.
- 26:18That's exactly what it is.
- 26:19His offense is not good.
- 26:22And you know, it sucks.
- 26:25It does because for the amount of prime time games that the Cowboys get, especially those
- 26:30things, those Thanksgiving games, they need to get that up to somebody else.
- 26:34Let's let one of these other teams have a slot to play for Thanksgiving because nobody
- 26:38wants to see the sorry Cowboys continue to get decimated.
- 26:44And it sucks because Dak tried.
- 26:47Dak really does try, he's not a he's not a quarterback who is going to point the fingers
- 26:52and say, you know, always is this person's fault or try to put blame on somebody else
- 26:57or throw somebody under the bus.
- 26:58He's not one of those people.
- 27:00He's someone that he wants to win.
- 27:02He wants to, you know, just do the right thing.
- 27:06And he continues to have to overcome, you know, mountains and hills just because this
- 27:13team is not built to be competitive.
- 27:16Why?
- 27:17Why hasn't this team been competitive because of Jerry Jones?
- 27:21Because Jerry Jones decides, hey, I want to prioritize my players instead of trying to
- 27:26bring in some better players that could possibly be much used to us compared to bringing in
- 27:33players who are at the tail end of their careers, who are most likely going to at the end of
- 27:38this season.
- 27:39Now, moving on to the commanders and Giants game, which is actually a really good game,
- 27:44believe it or not.
- 27:45So before we get into all the rigmarole with that, let's just get into the stats.
- 27:48Okay.
- 27:49So Jaden Daniels was 15 for 22, 209 passing yards, two touchdowns, 9.5 yards per attempt
- 27:55in a 68.2 completion percentage.
- 27:58Noah Brown, six targets for five receptions, 60 receiving yards, 12 receiving yards per
- 28:03reception.
- 28:04Chris Rodriguez, 11 attempts for 52 rushing yards, 4.7 rushing yards per carry and one
- 28:09rush of 10 plus yards and more.
- 28:12Daniel Jones, 20 for 26, 174 passing yards, two touchdowns, 6.7 yards per attempt in a
- 28:1876.9 completion percentage.
- 28:20Malik Neighbors, 11 targets for nine receptions, 59 receiving yards, 6.6 receiving yards per
- 28:26reception.
- 28:27Tyrone Tracy Jr., 16 attempts for 66 rushing yards, 4.1 rushing yards per reception and
- 28:33two rushes of 10 plus yards and more.
- 28:36Now, as I have always said and I will continue to say, the vision games are very hard to
- 28:43predict.
- 28:44And the reason why I say that is because it'll be the team that you think is out of it.
- 28:48They're not going to go anywhere.
- 28:49They're not going to go to the playoffs.
- 28:51They're probably just, you know, trying to see where, where they fall in the draft and
- 28:55whatnot that will give you a run for your money.
- 28:59And that's exactly what happened.
- 29:01This Giants team was fighting tooth and nail towards the end with the commanders and of
- 29:07course the commanders won.
- 29:08But you know, you're starting to see a little bit of Danny Dimes, you know, do his thing.
- 29:13You are, but I still think it's not enough.
- 29:16I still think that this offense needs more talent.
- 29:19I still think this offense needs more firepower with the receivers and whatnot.
- 29:24And I just feel like, you know, it's reached a point to where, you know, Daniel Jones is
- 29:30probably playing to fight for his job at this point because I would not be surprised if
- 29:36the Giants first pick next year is a quarterback.
- 29:39I would not be surprised because again, uh, who was it?
- 29:42Who was it?
- 29:43Who was it?
- 29:44Brian Dabel?
- 29:45It was Brian Dabel.
- 29:46Brian Dabel wanted Jaden Daniels.
- 29:47He liked Jaden Daniels.
- 29:49Even Joe Shane's son said, you need to get Jaden Daniels.
- 29:53Jaden Daniels is a once in a lifetime type of player and he decided that he wanted to
- 29:59stick with Daniel Jones.
- 30:00Now granted, I understand that, you know, you gave him, you know, his deals or you want
- 30:04to try to, you know, see how, how things go and whatnot, but you know, you're in the
- 30:09business of winning.
- 30:10You're not in business, you know, to justify certain contracts.
- 30:15If a player is not playing, you know, up to the standards of the contract that you gave
- 30:19them, then you need to move off of them and you need to be able to figure out what you're
- 30:23going to do moving forward.
- 30:24Because if you don't, what's going to happen is you're going to be in a situation where
- 30:30the team isn't going anywhere and you're basically being dead weight.
- 30:34That's what it is.
- 30:35That's really what it is at this point.
- 30:37If Jaden Daniels was on this Giants team, who knows?
- 30:42Maybe the roles would be switched.
- 30:44Maybe the Giants will be in the commander shoes.
- 30:48Who knows?
- 30:49We will never know.
- 30:50But at this point, I feel like the Giants are going to have some very tough decisions
- 30:54that they are going to have to make, you know, once this season is over with, it's reaching
- 30:59a point where some band-aids are going to have to get ripped off.
- 31:03Some tough decisions are going to have to be made just for the betterment of the team,
- 31:07just so they can try to be a little bit more competitive, you know, than what they already
- 31:12are at this point.
- 31:13But let's go into the Bears and Cardinals game.
- 31:16So a lot has to be said about this, but I'm going to hold off onto it once I read off
- 31:21the stats.
- 31:22Okay.
- 31:23So Kyler Murray was 13 for 20, 154 passing yards, 7.7 yards per temp, and a 65 completion
- 31:29percentage.
- 31:30James Conner 18 attempts for 107 rushing yards, 5.9 rushing yards per carry, and three rushes
- 31:36of 10 plus yards or more.
- 31:38Trey McBride four targets for three receptions, 35 receiving yards, 11.7 receiving yards per
- 31:44reception.
- 31:45Kayla Williams 22 for 41, 217 passing yards, 5.3 yards per temp, and a 53.7 completion
- 31:52percentage.
- 31:53DeAndre Swift 16 attempts for 51 rushing yards, 3.2 rushing yards per carry, and two rushes
- 31:59of 10 plus yards or more.
- 32:00Ruma Dunes, a seven target for five receptions, 104 receiving yards per reception, and 20.8
- 32:07receiving yards per reception.
- 32:08Now this is what I will say.
- 32:11The Bears continue to do bear things and what is that exactly?
- 32:15You're probably wondering it is losing, losing winnable games.
- 32:19Okay.
- 32:20If you would have told me that the Bears would have the amount of talent they have on both
- 32:26sides of the ball, you would think, Oh, this team is going to be a playoff team.
- 32:32They have not shown it.
- 32:33They have not played well.
- 32:35They have not been coached well.
- 32:36And clearly it seems like there is some, you know, some problems going on with how things
- 32:42are going within the locker room and whatnot.
- 32:45Now for the Cardinals, on the other hand, the Cardinals continue to persevere and continue
- 32:50to be competitive despite the lack of talent that they have on both sides of the ball.
- 32:56Colin Murray has been playing fairly well.
- 32:59He has.
- 33:00He's been playing fairly well.
- 33:01And, you know, when you have, you know, pieces in James Conner and trade McBride, and then
- 33:06you have Marma Harrison Jr. as well.
- 33:09And let's be real here.
- 33:10James Conner, since he's been with the Cardinals has been playing phenomenally well.
- 33:15You haven't heard a whole bunch of injuries and him being out for two or three games like
- 33:20how he was with the, with the Steelers.
- 33:23And you know, that's great for him.
- 33:25That's honestly great for him.
- 33:26I can say that as a Steelers fan, you know, I definitely was rooting for James Conner.
- 33:30And sometimes you have to go, you know, in a different environment just so you can really
- 33:34thrive and really show, you know, your skillset.
- 33:37And so far he's found a home with the Cardinals.
- 33:40Now trade McBride, trade McBride continues to show why he is one of the rising stars
- 33:47in this league.
- 33:48He continues to do so.
- 33:50And, you know, since last year, maybe even the year before that, he's been balling.
- 33:55He's been doing his thing.
- 33:56Okay.
- 33:57Keep your eye on trade McBride moving forward.
- 33:59He is definitely, you know, someone that can make a case that he could possibly be a superstar
- 34:06moving forward.
- 34:07Now for the Bears back to them, you know, the Bears are just not, they're not, they're
- 34:14not coached well.
- 34:15They're not.
- 34:16And, you know, I would not be surprised if they do clean house completely because right
- 34:23now Matt Ibrafus is not it.
- 34:25He is not it.
- 34:26And, you know, at this point, I think K the Williams needs an offensive minded head coach.
- 34:33He needs an inadequate offensive coordinator.
- 34:36He needs an adequate offensive staff that is going to help him because right now all
- 34:42he's doing is trying to play hero ball instead of making the routine throws.
- 34:47If you make the routine throws, no one's going to say anything.
- 34:50But if you're always trying to make the big play, the memorable play, the highlight play
- 34:55nine times out of 10, you're not going to make it.
- 34:59And you know, this is somewhat of a of a roadblock that, you know, a lot of rookies hit and now
- 35:04K the Williams is hitting and he has to realize that.
- 35:08And you know, for the defensive side, the defense really has been playing well either.
- 35:12And they got, you know, Montez wet and, you know, Jalen Johnson and Tremaine admins and
- 35:18company like this just has not been a good, you know, second half of the season for the
- 35:24Bears.
- 35:25And, you know, if I'm ownership and if I'm management, if I want to make sure that we
- 35:31continue to stay competitive, I have some tough decisions that I have to make.
- 35:36And I have to start creating a board of who I would want to target for offensive coordinator,
- 35:41head coach and a slew of other, you know, coaching position.
- 35:45Now let's get into this Ravens and Broncos game.
- 35:48Okay.
- 35:49So Lamar Jackson was 16 for 19, 280 passing yards.
- 35:53Three touchdowns, 14.7 yards per 10th and 84.2 completion percentage.
- 35:58Derek Henry, 23 attempts for 106 rushing yards.
- 36:024.6 rushing yards per carry, two touchdowns and two rushes of 10 plus yards or more.
- 36:07Zay flowers, six starters for five receptions, 127 receiving yards, two touchdowns and 25.4
- 36:13receiving yards per reception.
- 36:15Now, bone nicks.
- 36:17All right.
- 36:1819 for 33.
- 36:20223 passing yards.
- 36:22One pick 6.8 yards per attempt in a 57.6 completion percentage.
- 36:26Coralton sun 10 targets for seven receptions, 122 receiving yards, 17.4 receiving yards
- 36:33per reception.
- 36:34Javante Williams 12 attempts from 42 rushing yards and 3.5 rushing yards per carry.
- 36:40Now this is what I will say.
- 36:43The Ravens continue to be dominant on the offensive side, but it is the defense that
- 36:48is being an anchor to this team.
- 36:51And, you know, it's not good.
- 36:55It's not good.
- 36:56The amount of talent that is on that defense, they should be just as dominant as the offense
- 37:01is.
- 37:02They should.
- 37:03And, you know, this is a coaching thing.
- 37:05This is not necessarily a lack of talent.
- 37:07They have all the talent in the world.
- 37:09You have Rokwon Smith.
- 37:11You have Kyle Hamilton.
- 37:13You have Marlon Humphrey and Nate Wiggins and Nomadi Metabeekay and in company.
- 37:19You have talent.
- 37:20It is a coaching thing.
- 37:22And you know, if I am the Ravens, I may have to look into getting a defensive coordinator
- 37:27at this point, not necessarily firing Zach or but bringing somebody in that growth of
- 37:33how to be a defensive coordinator and how to sort of be creative when it comes to the
- 37:41play call.
- 37:42Because at this point, this defense will be the Achilles heel on why the Ravens do not
- 37:48go to the Super Bowl.
- 37:50If they do not get their act together by Thanksgiving, we're going to have some tough problems.
- 37:57Because again, doing their thing, they are coming out in games all cylinders ago, you
- 38:04know, beating you in the air, beating you on the ground, just being dominant everywhere
- 38:08on all phases of the offense.
- 38:10It is the defense that are that just things are clicking.
- 38:15And at some point, when are they going to click?
- 38:18Now, for the Broncos, I understand that the Broncos did lose, but at the same time, these
- 38:24are stepping stones.
- 38:26The reason why I say that is because bow nicks has to go through the growing pains of being
- 38:30a rookie quarterback in the national football league, let alone in the AFC.
- 38:34You're going to go through a phase where you're going to be, you know, punched in the mouth
- 38:38by a team like the Ravens.
- 38:39It happens.
- 38:40But for a bow nicks to do what he has done so far, definitely says a lot.
- 38:46And it definitely shows that, you know, the Broncos made the right pick in, you know,
- 38:51selecting bow nicks.
- 38:52Now, for Cortland Sutton, you know, the question is, do you want to stay there and, you know,
- 38:58continue to grow with bow nicks?
- 38:59Or do you want to go somewhere, be competitive and possibly win a Super Bowl?
- 39:03That is the question.
- 39:05But again, as I've said before, this Broncos team, they're going to be a problem, you know,
- 39:11moving forward as long as they continue to maintain this path of building, not necessarily
- 39:18overspending for people and reaching for people in a draft and reaching people for trades,
- 39:24but just continuing to maintain consistency and continue to build up yourself piece by
- 39:30piece, brick by brick.
- 39:32That is how you prepare yourself and prepare the roster to be ultra competitive for not
- 39:39just a one to two year window, but to be competitive for three to five years or three to 10 years.
- 39:46Now moving on to the Eagles and Jaguars game.
- 39:49Okay.
- 39:50Jaylen Hertz 18 for 24, 230 passing yards, two touchdowns, 9.6 yards per attempt in a
- 39:5675 completion percentage.
- 39:58Seguan Vekwa got Barclay 27 attempts for 159 rushing yards, 5.9 rushing yards per carry,
- 40:06one touchdown in six rushes of 10 plus yards or more.
- 40:10Devonte Smith, six targets for four receptions, 87 receiving yards, one touchdown, 21.8 receiving
- 40:16yards per reception.
- 40:17Trevor Lawrence 16 for 31, 169 passing yards, two interceptions, 5.5 yards per attempt and
- 40:24a 51.6 completion percentage.
- 40:26Travis Etienne, three attempts for 24 rushing yards, eight rushing yards per carry and one
- 40:31rush of 10 plus yards or more.
- 40:33Evan Ingram, 10 targets for five receptions.
- 40:3645 receiving yards and nine receiving yards per reception.
- 40:40Now this is what I will say.
- 40:42This was a game that the Jaguars could have won and be in the Eagles.
- 40:46And if they did, wolf, would we have a different conversation about the Eagles?
- 40:52But again, the recipe for the Eagles to be successful is you give the ball to Seguan.
- 41:00If you give the ball to Seguan, you are more likely to win games.
- 41:04Okay.
- 41:05Because at this point, I don't know what it is.
- 41:08I don't know if it's the head coach, Serrani.
- 41:11I don't know if it's the offensive coordinator, but somebody is going to be gone come next
- 41:17season.
- 41:18Somebody is not going to be on this team and it's looking like more likely it's going
- 41:22to be Serrani.
- 41:23I don't know what it is, but the Eagles continue to do Eagles things and they continue to win.
- 41:29And for Seguan to do the move that he did and to jump backwards, come on, man.
- 41:35He continues to prove that he is one of the best running backs in the league and continues
- 41:41to prove why the Giants made a dumb decision and not re-signing Seguan Barkley.
- 41:47I'm going to leave it there.
- 41:48I'm not going to go any further.
- 41:49But on the Jaguar side though, if you're the Jaguars, you probably have some tough decisions
- 41:55that you have to make moving forward and you have some decisions that you really have to
- 42:02really think about because this team last year was ultra competitive.
- 42:07They were looking good.
- 42:08They were winning games.
- 42:09They were beating teams.
- 42:11They were doing their thing.
- 42:12But so far this year, Trevon Lawrence looks like a deer in headlights.
- 42:17I don't know what it is.
- 42:18It's not looking good.
- 42:20It's not.
- 42:21And if I'm the owner, if I'm the GM, I'm probably looking at that contract and I'm probably
- 42:28thinking to myself, man, maybe we should have never given him that deal.
- 42:33We never should have overpaid him.
- 42:35And granted, I get it.
- 42:37The quarterback market is a little bit higher than what it has been recently.
- 42:40I get all of that.
- 42:42But sometimes it's best to pay a quarterback like a Trevon Lawrence who you don't really
- 42:47know if he is an elite quarterback or not.
- 42:50You pay him a little bit less so that you are able to surround him with talent just so
- 42:55you can make things look pretty.
- 42:57Because if you don't, this is what happens.
- 42:59Okay.
- 43:00This Jaguars team, it ain't it.
- 43:05You're not that guy, pal.
- 43:06You're not that guy, pal.
- 43:07Trust me.
- 43:08You're not that guy.
- 43:09Now, on to the chiefs in Buccaneers game.
- 43:12A lot has to be said about this game.
- 43:14So let's just get into it.
- 43:16So Patrick Mahomes, 34 for 44, 291 passing yards, three touchdowns, 6.6 yards per attempt,
- 43:22and he's 77.3 completion percentage.
- 43:25Travis Kelsey, 16 targets for 14 receptions, 100 receiving yards, 7.1 receiving yards per
- 43:32reception.
- 43:33Karim Hunt, 27 attempts for 106 rushing yards, 3.9 rushing yards per carry, one touchdown
- 43:38and two rushes of 10 plus yards or more.
- 43:41Baker Mayfield, 23 for 31, 200 passing yards, two touchdowns, 6.5 yards per attempt, 74.2
- 43:50completion percentage, folks.
- 43:5274.2 completion percentage.
- 43:54Baker Mayfield has been doing his thing since being with the Buccaneers, but that's another
- 43:59conversation for another day.
- 44:00Kate Oden, 11 targets for eight receptions, 77 receiving yards, one touchdown, 9.6 receiving
- 44:07yards per reception.
- 44:08Bucky Irving, seven attempts for 24 rushing yards, 3.4 rushing yards per carry.
- 44:13Now, this is what I will say.
- 44:15Why in the world would the Buccaneers not try to bring somebody down or to have somebody
- 44:22try to cover Travis Kelsey a little bit better?
- 44:26Because there was a drive, I forget what's drive it was, where Travis Kelsey was basically
- 44:31getting a first down almost every single time.
- 44:34He was basically running the same route, the same route, the same small little route and
- 44:38he was boop, get the ball, run a little bit, first down, boop, get the ball, run a little
- 44:42bit, first down.
- 44:43What are we doing?
- 44:44What are we doing?
- 44:45And granted, I understand that you can't have Levante David, you know, go up against
- 44:50Travis Kelsey because Travis Kelsey is going to eat that up.
- 44:53But I mean, come on guys, come on, what are we doing, man?
- 44:58This Buccaneers team, you know, they have their highs and their lows and you know, that
- 45:02is expected.
- 45:03But you know, they are a team that is probably not going to go to the playoffs, but it's
- 45:07not really, it's not really, it's not really looking that good.
- 45:10It's not looking that good friend.
- 45:12But the Chiefs continue to do Chiefs things.
- 45:16That's just what it is.
- 45:17The Chiefs continue to do Chiefs things.
- 45:18They continue to be dominant, that defense is starting to come together.
- 45:23DHOP and Patrick Mahomes are really starting to develop a real connection.
- 45:28And I guarantee you, once they get a lot of their other players back from injury, ooh,
- 45:35the Chiefs are going to be on all cylinders and it's going to be all gas, no breaks.
- 45:41Okay.
- 45:42This team is going to continue to dominate on both sides of the ball.
- 45:47But granted, Patrick Mahomes, statistically speaking this year, hasn't had the best season
- 45:52and has been carried by the defense a few games.
- 45:56And that's fine because they have reached that point in this dynasty to where they are
- 46:02the Patriots, to where a lot of times, you know, Tom Brady in the first half of the season
- 46:07wasn't playing the best.
- 46:09Of course they were winning games, but they really wasn't playing the best.
- 46:12And you know, a lot of questions were being asked and whatnot.
- 46:15And then there were some games that the defense was winning them games and there was other
- 46:18times where, you know, they just made a spectacular playing whatnot.
- 46:22But you know, that's just what it is with the Chiefs right now.
- 46:27The Chiefs are continuing to do Chiefs things.
- 46:30They continue to defy every and all reasons of why they are undefeated.
- 46:36If you would have told me by now that the Chiefs would be undefeated still be undefeated,
- 46:40I would have called you a liar.
- 46:42But who knows, maybe when they go up against a certain team in Christmas day, maybe they
- 46:47might lose.
- 46:48Who knows?
- 46:49I don't know.
- 46:50Just saying.
- 46:51You heard it from here.
- 46:52Did you really hear it?
- 46:53Who knows?
- 46:54Now let's get into these trade deadline recaps because, whew, man, oh man, they got a whole
- 47:00lot of trades.
- 47:01Okay.
- 47:02So start with Zidarius Smith.
- 47:03Okay.
- 47:04So Zidarius was traded to the Lions as expected by a lot of people.
- 47:09So this is basically what happens.
- 47:10Cleveland receives a 20-25-5th and a 20-26-6th round pick.
- 47:15Detroit receives Zidarius and a 20-26-7th round pick.
- 47:20Now the Lions have been looking for an adequate pass rusher and they finally found somebody
- 47:25that is productive, that is still a pass rusher that teams have to be concerned about at this
- 47:30point.
- 47:31Okay.
- 47:32Because let's be real here.
- 47:33The Browns are not going anywhere.
- 47:35They're not going anywhere this season.
- 47:36They're not making to the playoffs.
- 47:38At this point, they have to prepare themselves for the future.
- 47:41And so what better way to prepare yourself than to get some capital back with a productive
- 47:47player and Zidarius Smith?
- 47:49So this makes the Lions more competitive once again.
- 47:53Who knows?
- 47:55Maybe they'll try to see if they can make it as far as they can until A&H Singh can probably
- 48:01make a late comeback.
- 48:05Who knows?
- 48:06But again, there were reports that were coming out that if the Lions made it, I think, to
- 48:11either the NFC Championship or the Super Bowl, there is a chance that A&H Singh could come
- 48:16back.
- 48:17And you have Hutch as a Darius Smith or one line.
- 48:21Who knows?
- 48:23Who knows?
- 48:24Now Khalil Herbert was traded to the Bengals.
- 48:27So Chicago receives a 20-25-7th round pick and the Bengals of course receive Khalil
- 48:33Herbert.
- 48:34This is in part to them losing and running back for the rest of the season.
- 48:38So they just wanted to add an insurance policy in place.
- 48:43And this takes Khalil Herbert out of a dysfunctional situation with the Bears and puts him in a
- 48:48position where the Bengals could probably make it into the playoffs this year.
- 48:53Who knows?
- 48:54Now, on to the most earth-shattering trade in NFL history that has happened.
- 49:00Former Panthers receiver Jonathan Mingo has been traded to the Cowboys.
- 49:04I know.
- 49:05I'm losing my mind right now.
- 49:06I'm going crazy.
- 49:07So this is what happens.
- 49:09Okay?
- 49:10Carolina receives a 20-25 fourth round pick and Dallas receives Mingo as well as a 20-25
- 49:16seventh round pick.
- 49:17Now, you know, if you would have told me that the Cowboys would give a fourth round pick
- 49:23for Jonathan Mingo, who, believe it or not, he was actually a really good receiver coming
- 49:28out of college.
- 49:29He definitely was.
- 49:30But a fourth round pick for Mingo?
- 49:33Really?
- 49:34Come on, count.
- 49:35What are we doing?
- 49:36What's going on?
- 49:37What is going on in Dallas?
- 49:39Is it the water?
- 49:40Is it the brisket?
- 49:41What is going on?
- 49:42But at the same time, Jonathan Mingo is still on his rookie deal.
- 49:47So that probably maybe had a factor in to this trade.
- 49:51But you know, it's another receiver for either Cooper Rush or Tray Lance because I don't expect
- 49:57that to be playing the rest of the season.
- 50:00I don't.
- 50:01Anytime you have anything to basically tear off the bone, yeah, that's not good.
- 50:07You know, all in all, another receiver, another piece, another weapon, somebody that they
- 50:11can definitely throw to a deep threat, you know, with his size and versatility, who knows
- 50:17what will happen and how will they use him.
- 50:20Now, onto the big trades, okay?
- 50:22The big dogs, the big fish of the trades, okay?
- 50:26Marshall and Lattimore former Saints quarterback has been traded to the commanders.
- 50:30And I know commanders fans are probably pausing this right now.
- 50:33You're probably losing your mind and you're probably screaming, oh my God, it's great.
- 50:38Great, great, great.
- 50:39Shut up.
- 50:40Okay.
- 50:41Just shut up.
- 50:42All right.
- 50:43So Washington receives a Marshall and Lattimore in a 2025 fifth round pick.
- 50:46New Orleans receives a 20, a 2025 third and fourth and a six.
- 50:52Now, when we look at this, you know, this is definitely a really good trade for Washington
- 50:57because they were looking for a, another corner and you got one of the best corners, you know,
- 51:03in the league and Marshall and Lattimore have somebody who was able to go one on one mono
- 51:08and mono with a number one receiver and hold his own.
- 51:12And that exactly was one of the missing pieces for this Washington defense.
- 51:16So now you have Marshall and Lattimore.
- 51:18This takes them to a whole nother level.
- 51:21I'm telling you guys, this Washington team is not a team that you can sleep on.
- 51:26Okay.
- 51:27I would not be surprised if they try to give him an extension and try to keep him because
- 51:34again, if you have him, Emmanuel Forbes, Mike Sandstru, Jonathan Allen, Doron Payne
- 51:41and company on this defense, this defense is going to be dominant.
- 51:46And so, you know, kudos to Washington for pulling the trigger on this.
- 51:51Now for the saints, you know, you have reached the point where it's time for you to hit the
- 51:55reset button.
- 51:56I'm going to leave that there where we'll get more into that when we talk about gut check
- 52:00time.
- 52:01Now, you know, the compensation that they got back, you know, from Washington is actually
- 52:05really good because now that allows them to continue to stock up on draft picks and be
- 52:10able to really build this team that, you know, in the way that they really want to.
- 52:14Now, Mike Williams, yeah, that's right.
- 52:16Mike will was traded from the Jets to the Pittsburgh Steelers.
- 52:21That's right.
- 52:22The six time, six time, six time, six time, six time Pittsburgh Steelers.
- 52:32That's right.
- 52:33Omar Khan doing his thing, cooking things up in the kitchen, in the lab, whatever you
- 52:39want to call it, pulls this thing off.
- 52:42So New York gets a 2025 fifth round pick.
- 52:46This is what I will say.
- 52:47You have a big body and Mike Williams was somewhat of a matchup nightmare when it when
- 52:53going up against certain corners who was able to be a willing blocker who is able to get
- 52:59those 5050 balls and be a deep threat.
- 53:02Okay.
- 53:03You have him paired with George Pickens, two players who are able to really be the best
- 53:09when it comes to catching those contested catches, man, oh man, oh man, do we have a
- 53:14problem here?
- 53:15This is another weapon for Russell Wilson slash Justin Fields to do their thing.
- 53:21And you know, with someone like a Mike Williams, they can use him in different ways.
- 53:25You can put them in the slot.
- 53:27You can put them in the outside.
- 53:28The creativity is there.
- 53:31Okay.
- 53:32This team is not playing.
- 53:34This team wants to be competitive.
- 53:36This team doesn't just want to win just one playoff game.
- 53:39Okay.
- 53:40They're trying to go somewhere.
- 53:41Okay.
- 53:42And kudos to Omar Khan.
- 53:43And for all those people that were saying, oh, Omar Khan is starting to look like Kevin
- 53:48Colbert.
- 53:49He's doing the Kevin Colbert thing again.
- 53:51Let me tell you something.
- 53:52Yes, I understand Kevin Colbert wasn't the best towards the end of his tenure.
- 53:57I get all of that.
- 53:58But the fact of the matter is Kevin Colbert is probably going to be a Hall of Fame GM,
- 54:04one of the best GMs of all time.
- 54:06And he had two Super Bowls.
- 54:09He created two Super Bowl teams.
- 54:11So before we go and we start comparing people, let's just wait things out.
- 54:17Okay.
- 54:18Let's just wait things out.
- 54:19And plus, if you want to say that Omar Khan is Kevin Colbert, well, then that's somewhat
- 54:23of a good thing than a bad thing.
- 54:26Because so far, Omar Khan has hit on a lot of his draft picks.
- 54:31Roger Jones is still a little bit and don't even get me started with that because then
- 54:36that's another two hours of a whole rant that we'll just go on, but we'll just leave it
- 54:39at there.
- 54:41He's hit well on his draft picks as well as as well as his free agent, you know, signings.
- 54:46He clean house with the quarterback room brought in a competent offensive coordinator brought
- 54:51in two competent, you know, quarterbacks right now.
- 54:56What exactly has he done wrong?
- 54:57What exactly has he done wrong?
- 54:59He granted I understand at that time when he traded away Beyonce Johnson, I get it.
- 55:05It was it was uncalled for.
- 55:06It was unnecessary.
- 55:07I get all that.
- 55:08But still, sometimes you have to whiff on on certain decisions and you know, you try
- 55:16to rewrite your wrongs.
- 55:18And so they did and they got Mike Williams.
- 55:20Now me personally, I would have thought they would have tried to go after de hop first
- 55:24than Mike Williams, but you know, all in all cannot complain, we got another receiver.
- 55:29So we have another weapon.
- 55:30So kudos to them.
- 55:32Now onto the other trade that the Pittsburgh Steelers did the sixth, you know, I'm not
- 55:37going to do it.
- 55:38I'm not going to do it.
- 55:39I'm not going to do it.
- 55:40I'm just not the Steelers traded for Preston Smith.
- 55:43Okay.
- 55:44So Green Bay receives a 2025 seventh round pick.
- 55:46And of course, Pittsburgh receives Preston Smith.
- 55:48Now this is what I will say Preston Smith has definitely been a pass rusher that has
- 55:52definitely caught my attention since coming into the league.
- 55:55I remember when he was with Washington, he was, he was doing his thing.
- 56:00He was.
- 56:01And you know, the reason why that the Packers, you know, let him go for, for so cheap was
- 56:07because you know, Preston Smith wasn't really fitting into the system that they're running
- 56:12now.
- 56:13Right.
- 56:14So now with the new defensive corner that they have, I think they run a four three instead
- 56:20of a three four, like how they used to.
- 56:22And so you have somebody in Preston Smith who can play both in and outside linebacker,
- 56:29but in our system, he will play outside linebacker, which is great because you want to try to reduce
- 56:35the snap count for someone like a TJ Y and Alex Heisman, because as of right now, if
- 56:41I'm not mistaken, I don't have the official number with me, but TJ Y is playing 90 plus
- 56:46percent.
- 56:47That's not even a real step, but I think it's 92 percent of the snaps.
- 56:53If you want to, if you want him to be able to play in the playoffs, you have to be able
- 56:57to reduce the amount of snaps that he's playing because if you don't, you increase the likelihood
- 57:03of him suffering an injury.
- 57:04And we do not want that at this point.
- 57:07Now the only thing that I will say about this is, you know, this is sort of the blueprint
- 57:12of what Andy Wildo did when he was with the Eagles.
- 57:15You have a constant rotation of patch rushers and defensive linemen coming in to continuing
- 57:21to create constant pressure on the quarterback and it was successful.
- 57:27And now it's going to work over here because now you have a rotation of TJ Y and Alex
- 57:33Heisman and then you have Nick Herbie and then Preston Smith, which is good, really
- 57:37good.
- 57:38And granted, you know, for the people that say, well, Jeremiah Moon just really wasn't
- 57:41that good.
- 57:42Yes, he wasn't.
- 57:44I view him more as a special teams asset than, you know, a patch rusher.
- 57:49So all in all, great, great move.
- 57:52I think the only position that I think that I really wanted them to go after was defensive
- 57:57tackle because, you know, outside of Keanu Benson, you really don't have anybody else
- 58:01that you can really rely on.
- 58:03And the way things are being, you know, worded with with money atoms, it sounds like he's
- 58:08going to be out for, you know, an extended period of time, maybe even the rest of the
- 58:12season.
- 58:13So you need to bring somebody in to, you know, help with Keanu Benson.
- 58:18And granted, they, you know, they were able to do that.
- 58:21Now necessarily it wasn't the person that I had, you know, personally wanted.
- 58:25I would have preferred maybe, you know, David Gottschau or Kalea's Campbell or, you know,
- 58:30somebody of that caliber.
- 58:32But you know, they did what they did.
- 58:35And so, you know, here we are now on to the other trade.
- 58:38White is traded to the Ravens, so the Rams receive a 2026 seventh round pick and Baltimore
- 58:45receives trade white in a 2027 seventh round pick.
- 58:49Now, I don't know really what to say about this.
- 58:53Honestly speaking, me personally, I would have thought the Ravens would have went after
- 58:56a patch rusher because, you know, outside of Calvin, no, they don't have a consistent
- 59:02patch rusher.
- 59:03But doffy away is not, it is not kind of get he's not.
- 59:07And there were multiple patch rushers that they could have went after that, you know,
- 59:11if they would have added them to the Ravens, it would have helped them out substantially.
- 59:16Like if they would have, if they would have tried to get, you know, Aziz Ajalari from
- 59:21the Giants, that's great.
- 59:23That's a great pickup right there.
- 59:25You got a young patch rusher that is having a crazy season so far that honestly speaking,
- 59:30you probably give him, you know, a small extension and then, and, you know, it helps both parties.
- 59:37But you know, for them to go after a corner, I don't know, that's a way and see, you know,
- 59:44type of situation.
- 59:45Now, Khalil Davis, this was the buzzer beater, you know, when it comes to the trade deadline.
- 59:49So Khalil Davis, former, I think Steelers and of course Texans was traded to the 49ers.
- 59:56So the Texans receive a 2026 seventh round pick.
- 59:59Now this is what I will say, you know, they definitely needed, you know, a a a detackle
- 1:00:06and, you know, they finally was able to get somebody.
- 1:00:09It doesn't necessarily break the bank.
- 1:00:11It's a death piece.
- 1:00:13Nothing more to say.
- 1:00:14Honestly speaking, there's nothing more to say.
- 1:00:16Now, there were rumors and, you know, rumblings that they were going to try to see they could
- 1:00:21get the Florida's Buckner or David Gotchell.
- 1:00:24Unfortunately, they were unsuccessful in both of them.
- 1:00:27But you know, here we are.
- 1:00:29Maybe the 49ers, you know, start to make a comeback.
- 1:00:32Who knows?
- 1:00:33Only time will tell.
- 1:00:34But it's time for Gotchell time.
- 1:00:37Now these are just my honest opinions about certain things, certain teams and where they
- 1:00:41are.
- 1:00:42So if you get offended by it, hey, well, then that means that it must be corrected.
- 1:00:47So here we go.
- 1:00:50So to start things off, Cowboys need to prepare for the future.
- 1:00:53Now this now the reason why I have this is because, you know, at this point, you know,
- 1:00:59players are starting to become more expensive and, you know, they just need to begin to
- 1:01:04prepare for the future.
- 1:01:06Okay.
- 1:01:07Whether that mean you start trading away some people in the off season, you just let some
- 1:01:10people just go, you bring in a new regime in different, you know, culture, whatever the
- 1:01:15case may be.
- 1:01:16It's time for them to focus on the future long term because, you know, sure you locked
- 1:01:23in Dak and CELan, but we're all forgetting about my comparisons.
- 1:01:27So that right there is going to be somewhat of a difficult process as well because he
- 1:01:31has been, he was playing before he got hurt.
- 1:01:35He was playing at a pretty good level.
- 1:01:36So, you know, do they resign him?
- 1:01:39Do they now?
- 1:01:40What exactly are they going to do with that?
- 1:01:41Then you have to worry about Zach Martin.
- 1:01:43You have to worry about D-Law.
- 1:01:45And then you also have to worry about Trevon Diggs because ever since he's gotten that
- 1:01:47deal, he hasn't really been playing the best.
- 1:01:50So you know, they have a lot of tough decisions that they're going to have to make.
- 1:01:53And you know, if you go through somewhat of a soft rebuild instead of like a hard rebuild,
- 1:01:59you'll be able to bounce back a little bit quicker compared to, you know, going through,
- 1:02:05you know, this hardcore rebuild where you're not winning any games for like two or three
- 1:02:09years straight.
- 1:02:10And, you know, you're just stocking up on a whole bunch of draft picks and everything
- 1:02:14like the Cowboys don't, don't have to go through that.
- 1:02:17They just have to address certain parts of the team, bring in adequate coaching and they
- 1:02:21will be perfectly fine.
- 1:02:23Okay, the next one Washington will be serious, will be a serious playoff contender in the
- 1:02:27near future.
- 1:02:28Yes, I believe in that.
- 1:02:30I'm putting all of my money on the table for that.
- 1:02:33They have everything they need to be successful.
- 1:02:37Ownership, a stable front office and a stable head coach.
- 1:02:41They have stability now in Washington.
- 1:02:44And now that is going to be a lucrative, you know, spot for a lot of players who are going
- 1:02:50to be pending free agents to go to because now they're winning.
- 1:02:54They have adequate offense.
- 1:02:56They have a good defense, good coaching staff, good front office.
- 1:03:00Everything is just good.
- 1:03:02And so that right there is going to bring in the big fish free agents that, you know,
- 1:03:08that they may want to try to go after.
- 1:03:09And then not to mention, you know, you have a quarterback on a rookie deal.
- 1:03:14So you could honestly really build this team up into being a really super dominant team
- 1:03:19in the next two years that they really wanted to.
- 1:03:22Not to mention the needs that they have are relatively small and minute and they could
- 1:03:26be addressed, you know, fairly split between, you know, the draft and free agency and not
- 1:03:32have to really break the bank.
- 1:03:34Now for the Ravens, the Ravens having an elite offense, but an underperforming D defense.
- 1:03:41Yes, I truly believe it simply because we see time and time again, the Ravens defense
- 1:03:48failed them.
- 1:03:50Like last night, there was a play where Joe Burrell just threw a straight up to Jamar
- 1:03:54Chase and he got in first play touchdown.
- 1:03:58Like, you know, at some point we have to have a conversation about this Ravens defense.
- 1:04:02It is underperforming.
- 1:04:04It is not good.
- 1:04:06And you know, coaching does have a big play in this.
- 1:04:12The coaching for the defense has probably been one of the worst that I've seen, you
- 1:04:17know, in a very long time, and I'm not saying this as a, as a Ravens fan, but just looking
- 1:04:21at last night's game against the Bengals.
- 1:04:24If you eliminate the game, if you eliminate how, how the game ended and who won and who
- 1:04:30lost, Joe Burrell stats and Jamar Chase stats phenomenal, phenomenal.
- 1:04:36You would have thought that they would have been going up against some pop Warner football
- 1:04:41defense.
- 1:04:42You would have thought so.
- 1:04:43That's how bad it was.
- 1:04:44And they have to clean that up and they have to address it now.
- 1:04:47Now on the next thing, Joe Burrell will carry the Bengals into the playoffs.
- 1:04:52Yes, I do believe, I do believe it simply because Joe Burrell has been playing the best that
- 1:04:57he has in his entire career so far.
- 1:05:00And he continues to put this team on his back and win games.
- 1:05:05Now maybe the defense will step up a little bit more.
- 1:05:09Maybe they'll start making some key plays.
- 1:05:11Who knows.
- 1:05:12But at this point, Joe Burrell in the playoffs right now is dangerous.
- 1:05:17He's dangerous against the chiefs.
- 1:05:18He's dangerous against the Ravens.
- 1:05:20He's definitely dangerous against the Steelers.
- 1:05:22Now on to the next thing.
- 1:05:25Steelers do have a real legitimate playoff contending chance since starting Russell Wilson.
- 1:05:31And that is true because why Russell Wilson so far has been playing fairly well.
- 1:05:37And that's no slide to Justin Fields at all, but Russell Wilson has somewhat unlocked another
- 1:05:45step for this offense.
- 1:05:46Right?
- 1:05:47George Pickens is doing his thing.
- 1:05:49Calvin Austin is doing his thing.
- 1:05:51Van Jefferson is starting to really start to contribute to the offense.
- 1:05:56Najee Harris is playing fairly well.
- 1:06:00So you have all of that together.
- 1:06:02This offense is looking really good.
- 1:06:04And if they continue to keep going with this and then the defense continues to get better,
- 1:06:10this team could legitimately make a real playoff run.
- 1:06:14Okay.
- 1:06:15Bears cleaning the entire coaching staff.
- 1:06:17We did talk about it a little bit.
- 1:06:19But you know, for them, the question is, are they going to try to get somebody from the
- 1:06:24college world?
- 1:06:25Are they going to try to get somebody from, you know, from the NFL, you know, pool?
- 1:06:30Exactly would be a good fit for Caleb Williams and this offense because again, this offense
- 1:06:36has a lot of firepower.
- 1:06:38You have DJ Moore, you have Roma Dunes, you have the Andre Swift, you have Cole Comet.
- 1:06:43If I'm not mistaken, they have to get an offensive minded head coach.
- 1:06:48I understand that the Bears culture is defense and whatnot.
- 1:06:53But listen, it is 2024, not 1985.
- 1:06:56Time to do things a little bit different.
- 1:06:58Okay.
- 1:06:59So the defense need to hit the reset button on the offense.
- 1:07:02Yes.
- 1:07:03It is time that you figure out exactly what is the identity of this offense because for
- 1:07:07too long, nobody really knows what is the, what is the identity of this offense and granted,
- 1:07:15they could have, you know, easily been identified, had you kept safe one, but you didn't want
- 1:07:19to keep him because you don't value paying running backs that much.
- 1:07:22Well, now it's backfiring you and it's hurting you.
- 1:07:25And you know, outside of Darius Slayton and Tyrone Tracy, what do you really have?
- 1:07:32What do you really have?
- 1:07:33Jaylen Hyatt, he's been a ghost.
- 1:07:36He's been a ghost.
- 1:07:37He's not been good.
- 1:07:38Theo Johnson, rising star for sure.
- 1:07:42But everybody else, I don't know what you really do with it.
- 1:07:45I really don't.
- 1:07:46And this is going to take, you know, some serious decision making and some honest conversations
- 1:07:52that are going to have to be had.
- 1:07:53Brian Dable has to be successful with a rookie quarterback.
- 1:07:59Daniel Jones is not the, is not the savior of the giant.
- 1:08:02He is not the option.
- 1:08:03It's time to rip the bandaid off.
- 1:08:06The Saints need to hit the reset button as well simply because the Saints team is not
- 1:08:11good anymore.
- 1:08:12They continue to go through this, you know, this phase in the off season where they're,
- 1:08:18you know, 40 and 50 and 60 million over the cap and they basically have to restructure
- 1:08:23everybody's deal just to get under, you know, the cap, the cap space regulations and barely,
- 1:08:30barely do anything to sign all the Baruches and maybe try to go after one or two low level
- 1:08:36free agents.
- 1:08:38And then for the jets, the jets do need to prepare for, you know, Aaron Rogers, a successor.
- 1:08:44I do think, you know, after the season, I think they do need to have an honest, honest
- 1:08:48conversation with Aaron Rogers and say, listen, if you want to stay, you can stay, but we're
- 1:08:52going to restructure your deal and we are going to draft you a successor because at
- 1:08:57this point you are, you have regressed tremendously and it's time for us to go in a different
- 1:09:04direction and prepare for the future.
- 1:09:07And you know, another thing that they do need to bring in is an adequate offensive coordinator.
- 1:09:12They do because with the amount of firepower that this offense have, they have been, you
- 1:09:18know, in underperforming and it shows if you would have told me that an offense that has
- 1:09:22Garrett Wilson, Malachi Corley, Alan Luzard, Devonte Adams, Braylon Allen and Breeze Hall
- 1:09:29would be underperforming, I would have called you a liar.
- 1:09:32Okay.
- 1:09:33This offense has not been playing well.
- 1:09:35The offensive line has basically been patched together with baby tape and glue.
- 1:09:42And you know, they really have some tough decisions that they're going to have to make
- 1:09:46moving forward with this offense because again, there's no reason why this Jets team could
- 1:09:51should be, you know, you know, halfway off a cliff with their season.
- 1:09:56It shouldn't be, but you know, people making dumb decisions.
- 1:10:00I think I'll just leave it at that.
- 1:10:02Now Jacksonville, as well, they need to figure out what they're going to do with Trevor Lawrence
- 1:10:07and you know, let's be real here.
- 1:10:11Trevor Lawrence has not lived up to that contract.
- 1:10:14That contract is going to aged like milk and you know, it's going to start backfiring on
- 1:10:20them in order for Trevor Lawrence to really truly be successful.
- 1:10:24They're going to have to surround him with real talent and granted they have Brian Thomas.
- 1:10:30That's a good, you know, starting point right there, but they have other things that they
- 1:10:34need to figure out moving forward.
- 1:10:37They probably need to figure out what they're going to do with Doug Peterson and they also
- 1:10:41need to figure out what they're going to do with the coaching staff as a whole because
- 1:10:48this coaching staff on both sides of the ball, it's not cutting it.
- 1:10:53It is not cutting it.
- 1:10:54They have to do better.
- 1:10:55They have to be better with the amount of talent they have on both sides of the ball.
- 1:10:59And finally, the Browns have tough decisions to make moving forward.
- 1:11:05And the reason why I say this is because, you know, when we look at this, that whole
- 1:11:10decision to go after Deshaun Watson was probably one of the worst decisions they could have
- 1:11:15ever made for their franchise because now they're in a situation where you are tied
- 1:11:20to this player, you know, for the, for, for whatever the term is of this deal.
- 1:11:27And you know, he has been playing well.
- 1:11:31He has not been playing well.
- 1:11:32He has underperformed.
- 1:11:33And, you know, Joe Flacco did more last season with the same players, same offense, same
- 1:11:43scheme, same everything did more than what Deshaun Watson has ever done for the Browns.
- 1:11:48And mind you, they got more pieces for Deshaun Watson just so he can be more successful.
- 1:11:55And he still hasn't done anything.
- 1:11:57At this point, I think they have to consider, you know, possibly drafting a quarterback.
- 1:12:04Now I'm not saying that have to, that has to be their first pick, but they probably
- 1:12:07do need to get a quarterback in and, you know, have them sit and learn possibly and maybe
- 1:12:14just, you know, become a sponge for maybe the first two or three years and then figure
- 1:12:19out what you have in them.
- 1:12:21Because again, this Browns offense is not good.
- 1:12:24I mean, granted, they traded away Mara Cooper and, you know, they paid Jerry Judy.
- 1:12:30This offense is not good.
- 1:12:31This team is not good.
- 1:12:32This team is not going to go anywhere.
- 1:12:34They are wasting talent on both sides of the ball.
- 1:12:38And you can tell that, you know, some people are probably going to lose their jobs, you
- 1:12:43know, with this whole decision for Deshaun Watson.
- 1:12:46So I'm going to end this here.
