- Dana (AI host): You owe a prospect a follow-up, and the context is three months deep in the timeline. Dana (AI host): You can scroll, or you can ask Breeze to draft it. Rob (AI host): Breeze Assistant can now draft a one-to-one email from your HubSpot data, let you shape it, and send it without leaving the chat. Dana (AI host): This is Sidekick's What Just Shipped. Let's dig in. Narrator (AI voice): This is Sidekick's What Just Shipped, presented by Sidekick Strategies. Narrator (AI voice): Your hosts, Rob and Dana, are AI. Narrator (AI voice): The voices are synthetic, the research is real, and humans check every claim before it reaches you. Rob (AI host): Hi, I'm Rob. Rob (AI host): Quick reminder, Dana and I are AI hosts talking about an AI that writes emails. Rob (AI host): We'll try not to take sides. Dana (AI host): I'm Dana, and I absolutely will take sides. Dana (AI host): I'm the rep who has to put her name on whatever it writes. Rob (AI host): Fair. Here's the starting point. Rob (AI host): Our research says that on April 15, 2026, Breeze Assistant learned to draft and reply to one-to-one emails from inside a CRM record. Dana (AI host): Which records? Rob (AI host): Our April article named contacts, companies, and deals. Rob (AI host): It said Breeze pulls the record's CRM data and the earlier email thread to build the draft. Dana (AI host): And who gets it? Rob (AI host): Our research says anyone with Breeze Assistant access, across all hubs and tiers. Rob (AI host): HubSpot's one-to-one email help page lists all products and plans. Dana (AI host): Okay. Walk me through it the way HubSpot describes it today. Rob (AI host): HubSpot's help page, updated October 28, says click Assistant in the top navigation bar. Rob (AI host): Then enter a prompt. Rob (AI host): Their example, if you're on a contact record, is draft an email to this contact. Dana (AI host): And it just writes it in the chat? Rob (AI host): It drafts it right in the chat. Rob (AI host): Hover over the draft and click Edit in canvas to work on it side by side. Dana (AI host): What can I do in the canvas? Rob (AI host): Edit the text directly, or type follow-ups like make this shorter, or rewrite the intro. Dana (AI host): What about fixing just one sentence? Rob (AI host): Highlight it and click the AI icon. Rob (AI host): You get Rewrite, Expand, Shorten, and Change tone, with options like Friendly or Professional. Dana (AI host): And if I hate the new version? Rob (AI host): Each update saves as a new version. Rob (AI host): Pick an older one from the Version history dropdown in the canvas header. Dana (AI host): Okay, that's actually useful. Then what, it sends? Rob (AI host): You click Send email, and it sends straight from the canvas. Rob (AI host): Or use the dropdown next to it and copy it to your clipboard. Dana (AI host): So one click and it's in a customer's inbox. Nobody's watching. Rob (AI host): You're watching. It's your click. But yes, the review step is on you. Dana (AI host): And if I'd rather start in the normal email window? Rob (AI host): In the record's email composer, type a slash and pick Suggest a draft. Dana (AI host): How do I know where the draft got its facts? Rob (AI host): HubSpot says Breeze Assistant may include citations, like the records it used. Rob (AI host): Hover over a numbered citation to see it, or click to open the record. Dana (AI host): May include. I'll check for them anyway. George B. Thomas (AI voice clone): Hey, it's George B. Thomas from Sidekick Strategies. George B. Thomas (AI voice clone): Full honesty, this is my AI voice clone, made with my permission. George B. Thomas (AI voice clone): An email draft built from your records is only as good as those records. George B. Thomas (AI voice clone): Duplicates and empty fields show up in the writing. George B. Thomas (AI voice clone): Our free Data Hygiene Scorecard asks ten questions and gives you a grade from A to F, with a list of what to fix first. George B. Thomas (AI voice clone): No fluff. No sales pitch. George B. Thomas (AI voice clone): Find it under tools at Sidekick Strategies dot com. Dana (AI host): Okay, Rob. What has to be true before any of this works for a sales team? Rob (AI host): First, an admin turns on Give users access to Breeze Assistant in the AI settings. Dana (AI host): And the record context? Rob (AI host): CRM record analysis and activity analysis each have a switch in AI settings. Rob (AI host): HubSpot says if they're off, Breeze may be limited. Dana (AI host): What about sending at all? Rob (AI host): To send one-to-one emails, you connect an individual work email, and that needs a Core, Sales Hub, or Service Hub seat. Rob (AI host): View-Only seats can't connect one. Dana (AI host): Can I send from a shared address instead of mine? Rob (AI host): In the From field, you can pick another connected work email, or a team email address. Dana (AI host): And can I email anybody in the CRM? Rob (AI host): No. Only contacts you have access to. Rob (AI host): And if data privacy settings are on, and the contact's legal basis hasn't been validated, you have to validate it before sending. Dana (AI host): That one will surprise people. Anything else that bites? Rob (AI host): Two small ones. Rob (AI host): If you send from a record using an email connected to help desk, HubSpot creates a ticket automatically. Dana (AI host): Good to know. And the second? Rob (AI host): Breeze content generation is capped at one hundred requests per account in a rolling one minute window. Rob (AI host): Probably fine for a team, but it's per account. Dana (AI host): Where does this fit next to sequences? Rob (AI host): Our research puts it this way. Sequences handle volume and timing for pre-written emails. Rob (AI host): Breeze drafting handles the personal one-to-one reply. Dana (AI host): So not a replacement. Rob (AI host): No. And our research has one rollout tip. Rob (AI host): Audit your CRM data first, because drafts are only as good as the properties on the record. Dana (AI host): Okay. Now, what didn't line up? Rob (AI host): Two things. Our April article said Breeze also checks your saved email templates. Rob (AI host): HubSpot's current help page doesn't mention templates at all. Dana (AI host): So maybe, maybe not. Rob (AI host): Right. And the second is the send step. Rob (AI host): Our April article described Breeze filling in the email composer, then you send. Rob (AI host): HubSpot's page today describes a Send email button right in the canvas. Dana (AI host): So the flow changed, or both exist. Rob (AI host): Both are possible. Try it in your own account and see which one your team gets. Dana (AI host): Fine. So what do I do on Monday? Rob (AI host): Start by checking those AI settings, so drafts actually see the record. Dana (AI host): Then? Rob (AI host): Pick one deal you know well. Rob (AI host): Ask Breeze to draft the next follow-up, and compare it with what you'd have written. Dana (AI host): And if it's close? Rob (AI host): Then write a team rule. Edit in canvas, read it once, then send. Dana (AI host): And when I'm not ready to send? Rob (AI host): In the record's email window, Save Draft puts it on the record timeline and the one-to-one email index page. Rob (AI host): From there you can edit it, send it, or schedule it with Send Later. Dana (AI host): I like that rule. My name, my last read. Rob (AI host): That's Breeze Assistant drafting one-to-one emails from your HubSpot records. Dana (AI host): Our sources are on the HubSpot Updates page at Sidekick Strategies dot com. Rob (AI host): You've been listening to Sidekick's What Just Shipped. Dana (AI host): Read it before you send it. Narrator (AI voice): Sidekick's What Just Shipped is presented by Sidekick Strategies, with AI hosts Rob and Dana and AI-generated music.
