- 1:00Speaker 2: I want to thank everybody that has reached out for
- 1:04Speaker 2: wondering how I am doing and my family is doing
- 1:07Speaker 2: in the LA fires. We are very fortunate that our community,
- 1:12Speaker 2: our immediate area has not been affected. And thank you
- 1:18Speaker 2: so much for everything you've done for LA in general.
- 1:21Speaker 2: I have a really incredible interview with our good friend,
- 1:25Speaker 2: Spencer Pratt and his beautiful wife, Heidi Montag. And it
- 1:30Speaker 2: is incredible. He takes us from how the fire started,
- 1:37Speaker 2: what happened, what he has found out, what investigations are
- 1:40Speaker 2: going on, how Hollywood has treated him then versus now
- 1:46Speaker 2: and what's the future holding. And then Heidi comes in
- 1:49Speaker 2: and we really talk about what it's been for her
- 1:51Speaker 2: as a mother of a young child. young children that have,
- 1:55Speaker 2: you know, no longer have a community. And we get
- 1:58Speaker 2: into the music and she also spills some juice about
- 2:01Speaker 2: the hills that I've never heard before. So I really
- 2:05Speaker 2: think you're going to love this interview. I know you are.
- 2:07Speaker 2: And they are also really grateful for all the Juicy
- 2:10Speaker 2: Scoopers who have supported them and everyone in L.A. So
- 2:15Speaker 2: here is Heidi and Spencer. Thank you. Hello and welcome
- 2:20Speaker 2: to Juicy Scoop. You guys have been so concerned about
- 2:23Speaker 2: our greatest Juicy Scooper ever, Spencer Pratt and his beautiful
- 2:27Speaker 2: wife Heidi and their two boys. And you are here, Spencer.
- 2:31Speaker 2: Thank you so much for taking the time and talking
- 2:34Speaker 2: to me today. I love you so much.
- 2:36Speaker 4: Thank you so much for texting and, you know, doing
- 2:40Speaker 4: everything you can more than anybody else, no matter what
- 2:43Speaker 4: people try to say in the comments section. It's just
- 2:48Speaker 4: so thank you.
- 2:50Speaker 2: Well, for those of you, you know, that are just
- 2:53Speaker 2: catching up. You lost your home to the fire in
- 2:58Speaker 2: the Palisades. The entire Palisades town is gone. The school
- 3:03Speaker 2: is gone. The high school's gone. Your parents' home is gone.
- 3:07Speaker 2: And is that the home you grew up in, correct?
- 3:09Speaker 4: Correct.
- 3:11Speaker 2: And so before we get into then how you made
- 3:14Speaker 2: lemonade out of the worst thing that's ever happened in
- 3:17Speaker 2: you and your family's life, losing your homes in a
- 3:20Speaker 2: scary fire, I just want to ask you a little
- 3:22Speaker 2: bit like about that day, like Tuesday. So the wind
- 3:28Speaker 2: started and just kind of like walk us through of
- 3:30Speaker 2: like what happened and when you realized that you guys
- 3:33Speaker 2: just have to get out of there.
- 3:35Speaker 4: So one of my most annoying superpowers that I've had
- 3:41Speaker 4: for as long as I can remember is I only
- 3:44Speaker 4: have a psychic power for when something bad is going
- 3:47Speaker 4: to happen. So the night before, and I never had
- 3:51Speaker 4: this feeling before, so which is, just haunts me. And
- 3:55Speaker 4: it's like, now I'm like, Oh my gosh. Like I
- 3:58Speaker 4: was told like by whatever the universe spirits, angel, whatever
- 4:02Speaker 4: you want to believe. Six cents. I was told this
- 4:05Speaker 4: fire was coming. Cause I looked out the window. Cause
- 4:08Speaker 4: our kid had gunner and Riker had like back and forth,
- 4:12Speaker 4: 104 degree temperatures. So we were up for like two
- 4:15Speaker 4: weeks straight, like just insane. So that night I was
- 4:19Speaker 4: up so late and I'm watching the wind out, by
- 4:24Speaker 4: our like bamboo. And I, I'm up late a lot.
- 4:27Speaker 4: So I know like the level of wind and this
- 4:30Speaker 4: was like spooky. And I just had this feeling. I
- 4:33Speaker 4: was like, if a fire starts right now, like it's
- 4:37Speaker 4: a wrap, like we're done. And this is at three
- 4:39Speaker 4: in the morning. And then I went to bed and
- 4:41Speaker 4: never thought about it again. And then since Heidi hadn't
- 4:45Speaker 4: slept in like realistically two weeks, we, and our nanny was,
- 4:49Speaker 4: you know, cause it'd been Christmas break for three weeks.
- 4:51Speaker 4: We had no help. She finally came in town. So
- 4:53Speaker 4: she took, our youngest one, Ryker, the two-year-old, for a
- 4:56Speaker 4: hike on our trail behind our house. She runs inside
- 5:00Speaker 4: and she's like, the workers that are building that house
- 5:04Speaker 4: said to get out, you know, there's a fire on
- 5:06Speaker 4: the hill. And I'm like, huh? You know, like we
- 5:10Speaker 4: have all these alerts and I feel like my mom
- 5:14Speaker 4: knows everything on Nextdoor that ever exists and Ring and everything.
- 5:18Speaker 4: So if there was a fire, I would know. So
- 5:22Speaker 4: I just like, okay, you know, I'll go run and look.
- 5:25Speaker 4: So I run up to the top of this hill
- 5:27Speaker 4: where we always hang out with the kids on this
- 5:29Speaker 4: trail and I see the smoke, but it's far enough
- 5:33Speaker 4: away that I call Heidi. I'm like, I think we're good.
- 5:36Speaker 4: You know, this, the planes could come or it didn't
- 5:40Speaker 4: look end of the world level devastation. Cause people are
- 5:44Speaker 4: messaging me like, why didn't you get a U-Haul? Like
- 5:46Speaker 4: if you saw a fire, well, first off, there's always
- 5:50Speaker 4: evacuations in the palaces. We've probably evacuated three or four times.
- 5:53Speaker 4: It's just to be cautious. I don't know why they
- 5:56Speaker 4: do it, but it's, you know, it's, we've done that
- 5:58Speaker 4: before where you pack your couple, you know, passports and
- 6:01Speaker 4: an overnight bag and it's all good. Right. So I
- 6:05Speaker 4: stayed on this hill and my dad calls me and
- 6:08Speaker 4: he's like, what's going on with this fire? I'm like, Oh,
- 6:10Speaker 4: it's on the hill. I think, you know, like it's
- 6:12Speaker 4: pretty far back there. The planes are just showing up.
- 6:14Speaker 4: So two planes showed up and they were dip going
- 6:17Speaker 4: into the water. and they were hitting, and I was like,
- 6:19Speaker 4: they're doing a good job, and my dad's like, I'm
- 6:21Speaker 4: gonna leave work and come, so my dad comes up
- 6:24Speaker 4: to this hill, and we're just sitting there watching, and
- 6:26Speaker 4: they're doing a great job with these two planes, and then,
- 6:31Speaker 4: you know, I see the, so we live on this,
- 6:34Speaker 4: our house had, we had a house near this water tower,
- 6:39Speaker 4: and I saw, I don't know if it's DWP or whatever,
- 6:42Speaker 4: and there was this big tower that I have seen
- 6:44Speaker 4: on TV where the helicopters dip the things in, I'm like, Oh,
- 6:47Speaker 4: we're good. Cause I'm watching them opening it up and
- 6:49Speaker 4: all the water's coming. I'm yelling that's full. And they're like, yeah,
- 6:52Speaker 4: it's good to go. So I'm like, Oh, the helicopter
- 6:56Speaker 4: is going to come dip its thing in there and
- 6:58Speaker 4: just be right there and protecting the house. So I
- 7:02Speaker 4: tell Heidi, like, you know, pack some stuff, like just
- 7:04Speaker 4: to leave, I think we'll be good. And it's still,
- 7:07Speaker 4: you know, I don't know the time. It's probably on
- 7:08Speaker 4: my Snapchat. Like, cause I was snapping it, like getting content,
- 7:12Speaker 4: not like, like, Now I would have been packing our
- 7:14Speaker 4: whole existence, but no, it didn't feel that extreme.
- 7:18Speaker 2: This is Tuesday afternoon.
- 7:21Speaker 4: Yeah. Yeah, now it's getting later. I feel like I
- 7:24Speaker 4: was out there for hours just watching. They were doing good.
- 7:28Speaker 4: I'm saying like so much. I need to find some
- 7:31Speaker 4: other words. That's messing my brain.
- 7:37Speaker 2: So the planes were coming. You felt good about the planes.
- 7:39Speaker 4: And then the planes left. And this is where, you know,
- 7:44Speaker 4: I know Juicy Scoop loves a good conspiracy. They do.
- 7:48Speaker 4: So my neighbor, who's connected with law enforcement and whoever,
- 7:54Speaker 4: said that the planes left because Biden was flying into
- 7:59Speaker 4: town and there was a flight restriction. the fire department
- 8:02Speaker 4: or whoever said no, it was because it got too windy.
- 8:05Speaker 4: I was on this hill where realistically I could have
- 8:09Speaker 4: thrown an egg and hit these planes for hours. So
- 8:12Speaker 4: I have the gauge of how windy it is. These
- 8:15Speaker 4: pilots could have kept flying if people were shooting rockets
- 8:19Speaker 4: at them. These dudes were top gun. So there's my conspiracy.
- 8:26Speaker 4: Obviously a lot of people are going to be investigating
- 8:29Speaker 4: getting to the bottom of it, but It is a
- 8:31Speaker 4: strange coincidence that that was the defining moment. So when
- 8:35Speaker 4: those planes left, it just starts coming like a lava
- 8:40Speaker 4: down the hill. So then I start calling 911 and
- 8:43Speaker 4: they connect me to the fire department. They're like, I'm
- 8:45Speaker 4: afraid we have no assets. I'm like, we can stop this. Like,
- 8:49Speaker 4: this is a trail. If it comes past this trail,
- 8:52Speaker 4: then it starts hitting the houses. One fire truck. And
- 8:55Speaker 4: the most frustrating part about all this is just killing me.
- 8:59Speaker 4: is after this last Malibu thing that happened like three
- 9:02Speaker 4: weeks ago, I had multiple friends. They're all part of
- 9:05Speaker 4: the Malibu brigade that they got their own hoses, their
- 9:09Speaker 4: own jackets, and they saved all their houses. So I'm
- 9:12Speaker 4: hearing this and I'm like telling my dad, we got
- 9:14Speaker 4: to get these fire hoses because I have a hydrant
- 9:16Speaker 4: right there and I'll hook up. I'm telling him this
- 9:19Speaker 4: like a month ago and I just didn't order it.
- 9:21Speaker 4: And I was like, I'll leave it right here and
- 9:23Speaker 4: I'll have my own fire hose. But I didn't do
- 9:25Speaker 4: it because I You know, Heidi and I always work
- 9:28Speaker 4: out right on that street. And I would say at
- 9:30Speaker 4: least once a week, the fire department comes on our
- 9:33Speaker 4: street because we have the reservoir. They do the drill.
- 9:36Speaker 4: They hook up. So I was so confident always that,
- 9:40Speaker 4: you know, we have unlimited water. There's this big, you know,
- 9:43Speaker 4: maybe it's empty. I don't know. And that's the secret.
- 9:45Speaker 4: But I thought we had this reservoir.
- 9:47Speaker 2: So now you know that that reservoir was empty.
- 9:51Speaker 4: So that's the one in the Highlands. We have one
- 9:54Speaker 4: on Chautauqua.
- 9:55Speaker 2: Oh, okay.
- 9:56Speaker 4: So, I saw them filling up water. There was enough
- 9:59Speaker 4: water and a stop what was coming down the trail
- 10:01Speaker 4: because i was looking at the top of it on
- 10:03Speaker 4: this thing and it was like coming out of it
- 10:05Speaker 4: i have a video of it and so that they're
- 10:09Speaker 4: like we have no assets and then i told heidi
- 10:12Speaker 4: like get everything you want and And she blacked out, obviously,
- 10:17Speaker 4: and didn't get anything she wanted, which, you know, is
- 10:21Speaker 4: just how.
- 10:22Speaker 2: What did you guys grab? I saw that you grabbed...
- 10:24Speaker 2: She grabbed Gunner's little.
- 10:25Speaker 4: She got the two bears. The tooth fairy thing. We
- 10:29Speaker 4: got her the teeth. The tooth fairy got the teeth. Yes.
- 10:34Speaker 4: We got his teeth. We got their two little bears.
- 10:38Speaker 4: I got my Heidi shirt, some shorts, socks. I got
- 10:42Speaker 4: one backpack full of crystals, which... Here's the craziest part
- 10:46Speaker 4: about your brain. I have probably, realistically, I don't want
- 10:50Speaker 4: to say a number, but just right on this one thing,
- 10:52Speaker 4: probably at least $ 100, 000 of my crystal pendants that I've kept,
- 10:56Speaker 4: the best ones, all my tourmalines, aquas. And instead of
- 10:59Speaker 4: just going like this, scooping them all in the backpack
- 11:02Speaker 4: and taking them, I'm like, oh, I don't want to
- 11:04Speaker 4: scratch them and crack them and break them because I
- 11:06Speaker 4: was not accepting that our house was just going to
- 11:08Speaker 4: be gone. So now it's just like, I cannot stop
- 11:12Speaker 4: thinking about how stupid I feel that I had a
- 11:15Speaker 4: backpack and I could have just gone, woof. And then
- 11:17Speaker 4: I like, maybe some made it, maybe they didn't. But
- 11:19Speaker 4: now none of those, you know, I always kept the
- 11:22Speaker 4: best of my necklaces for myself. And that's the other part.
- 11:26Speaker 4: It's like, I wish I just sold them. So once,
- 11:29Speaker 4: then my dad, he wouldn't leave. He like, had a real, like,
- 11:36Speaker 4: I'd have to talk to a psychiatrist and ask them
- 11:38Speaker 4: how to describe, I think he was, like, in a trance.
- 11:41Speaker 4: And so I'm screaming at my dad because the flames
- 11:43Speaker 4: are the size of.
- 11:44Speaker 2: Now, how far is your dad's house from you?
- 11:47Speaker 4: So we're up on the hill, which I always knew, like, oh,
- 11:50Speaker 4: it could be fire danger, but fire trucks could stop it.
- 11:53Speaker 4: You know, there's enough cement before, so I was confident.
- 11:58Speaker 4: But where they live, it's the end of town, like,
- 12:02Speaker 4: so far that house that was there. Cause he had
- 12:05Speaker 4: no insurance on a single dollar. And I said, why
- 12:08Speaker 4: not dad? And he's like, our house is 130 years old.
- 12:12Speaker 4: If our house were to burn down, that would mean
- 12:14Speaker 4: the whole town were to burn down. And I was like, well, dad,
- 12:18Speaker 4: you know? So that's how like, Heidi evacuated to my
- 12:22Speaker 4: parents' house initially. That's like, that's how crazy it would
- 12:27Speaker 4: be for the fire to go from where it was
- 12:29Speaker 4: to my parents' house. So she went, with the kids
- 12:32Speaker 4: and the suitcases that we grabbed and evacuated to my
- 12:35Speaker 4: parents' house that burned down to nothing.
- 12:40Speaker 2: And then how long were you at your parents before
- 12:42Speaker 2: all of you guys?
- 12:42Speaker 4: So I never met them. I was like, so she
- 12:45Speaker 4: was at my parents' house and, um, my older sister
- 12:50Speaker 4: calls and she's like, what are you guys doing there?
- 12:52Speaker 4: Cause no, we weren't watching the news because of the
- 12:54Speaker 4: 104 degree temperature or watching, um, Garfield or whatever, because
- 12:58Speaker 4: Gunner is so sick on the couch. And I'm like,
- 13:00Speaker 4: keep calling. I'm like, put the news on. She's like,
- 13:02Speaker 4: I can't. Gunner, I'm like, so we don't know that
- 13:04Speaker 4: the fire is now wrapped around and coming into the
- 13:07Speaker 4: town and coming in from like Pali High and like
- 13:11Speaker 4: coming from the side of my parents' house. So once
- 13:14Speaker 4: my older sister called and said, get out of there.
- 13:19Speaker 4: Heidi loaded up and just started driving to Santa Barbara.
- 13:22Speaker 4: And I stayed at my house on the hill because
- 13:24Speaker 4: my dad would not leave. And he's like, I'm going
- 13:26Speaker 4: to put this out. I'm like, what are you talking about, dad?
- 13:30Speaker 4: He's like, I fought three fires in Malibu when I
- 13:32Speaker 4: lived in Malibu in the 30 years. I'm like, you're
- 13:35Speaker 4: 70 plus. This is a forest fire now. This is
- 13:39Speaker 4: not like your next door neighbor. And so he lost it.
- 13:43Speaker 4: I was screaming at him like I had to put
- 13:46Speaker 4: him in his car. And then we leave and we
- 13:50Speaker 4: go off and I'm looking at my cameras to see
- 13:53Speaker 4: if the virus went. And I see my dad pull
- 13:56Speaker 4: back up to the house and getting out the garden
- 13:59Speaker 4: hose and just these flames. And he's just like, post
- 14:02Speaker 4: like there's the water spitting at this fire. Like, and he's,
- 14:07Speaker 4: and I'm, and he's not picking up his phone. I
- 14:10Speaker 4: keep calling him. That's like, so The good thing about
- 14:14Speaker 4: him doing this to me is it took away the
- 14:16Speaker 4: fact that our house was burning down because I was like,
- 14:18Speaker 4: my dad is going to die. And he's clearly lost
- 14:23Speaker 4: the plot. So it took my mind off of the
- 14:25Speaker 4: actual situation, like the possessions in the house. And it
- 14:29Speaker 4: was more of like, my dad's going to die. And
- 14:32Speaker 4: so finally I get him to leave my house. No.
- 14:36Speaker 4: The flames surrounded him. And he, I think finally was,
- 14:39Speaker 4: he said, flight or flight kicked in. And he's like,
- 14:42Speaker 4: the flight part was more than, so I thought he like, he,
- 14:46Speaker 4: he made it like his brain was working, but then
- 14:48Speaker 4: he drives to his house where now the entire town
- 14:53Speaker 4: is on fire. He's the, the firefighters aren't even there.
- 14:56Speaker 4: There's no firefighters. It's my dad. And I was calling
- 15:00Speaker 4: a hundred times and calling my mom. Nobody can reach him.
- 15:03Speaker 4: I call nine one one. And they're like, oh, that is,
- 15:06Speaker 4: I'm sorry, sir. Whatever, I'm not misquoting him. There's no
- 15:11Speaker 4: longer anyone can drive to that. Like, those streets are done.
- 15:15Speaker 4: We can't, 901 can't even go get him. So finally
- 15:19Speaker 4: he picks up. I'm like, what are you doing? He's like,
- 15:20Speaker 4: I'm doing a good job. I'm just hitting it. I'm like,
- 15:23Speaker 4: you're going to die. He's like, I'm going to jump
- 15:27Speaker 4: in the pool.
- 15:27Speaker 1: So....
- 15:31Speaker 2: So wait, let me just get it clear. So he
- 15:33Speaker 2: first went to your house while you guys left. You're
- 15:35Speaker 2: watching the cameras and he goes back thinking he can
- 15:38Speaker 2: save your house. Then he gets in the car. Heidi,
- 15:42Speaker 2: the kids, your mom are no longer in the Palisades
- 15:44Speaker 2: and neither are you. Then he goes back to his
- 15:46Speaker 2: own house and is trying to save that house and
- 15:49Speaker 2: his plan was to jump in the pool.
- 15:51Speaker 4: He said, we can't lose two houses. I'm like, it's done. Like, Dad,
- 15:56Speaker 4: you're going to... And, you know... I don't know.
- 16:00Speaker 2: So then he finally got in his car.
- 16:02Speaker 4: And left to the point. He said cars were blowing
- 16:05Speaker 4: up next to him as he was driving. Fiery trash
- 16:08Speaker 4: cans are hitting the car. He said like Armageddon, like
- 16:12Speaker 4: he admitted that he should be dead. You know, he's
- 16:15Speaker 4: still obviously they're my parents. So that's the saddest part because.
- 16:22Speaker 4: they look like we got some bears and some shirts
- 16:26Speaker 4: and they got nothing out of their house. Like my
- 16:29Speaker 4: mom did not think she was never coming back. She
- 16:31Speaker 4: didn't even get a go back. No keys, no nothing. No,
- 16:36Speaker 4: not up. So my mom is really having a hard time.
- 16:42Speaker 4: Really hard time.
- 16:44Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 16:45Speaker 4: Like crazy. Like it's, it's kind of scary.
- 16:50Speaker 2: Yeah, because especially, you know, you had said, you know,
- 16:55Speaker 2: I don't have any kids pictures or I don't have
- 16:57Speaker 2: anything before iPhones. But you do have your kids on
- 17:00Speaker 2: your iPhone. Your mom, all her baby pictures, all her
- 17:04Speaker 2: giving birth pictures, all of your memories are not on
- 17:07Speaker 2: an iPhone. And she doesn't have any of that.
- 17:10Speaker 4: No, like my mom, my older sister harassed my mom
- 17:14Speaker 4: for being a hoarder because I joked that she's just
- 17:17Speaker 4: a collector. She has kept everything that is ever connected
- 17:22Speaker 4: to her kids. We're talking ticket stubs, movie theater cups
- 17:27Speaker 4: from the certain movie. I mean, I'm talking to the
- 17:31Speaker 4: point where she could have been on like hoarders, but
- 17:34Speaker 4: it's all things that are connected to our lives.
- 17:38Speaker 2: Right. You know, like sentimental.
- 17:40Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 17:41Speaker 4: My room there was like, I said, it was like
- 17:43Speaker 4: a time capsule. I could go in there. My drawers,
- 17:46Speaker 4: everything was like being in Back to the Future. Everything
- 17:49Speaker 4: is untouched. And it's just her whole life was hanging
- 17:54Speaker 4: out in that house and texting me photos of things
- 17:59Speaker 4: to remind me, remember this, remember that. For the last,
- 18:02Speaker 4: I want to say solid eight years, it's all my
- 18:05Speaker 4: mom does is just send me to the point where
- 18:08Speaker 4: that's the annoying thing that's like, oh my God. But
- 18:11Speaker 4: it's now I'm like, Thank God she texted any of
- 18:14Speaker 4: these things, because now I'm worried I deleted her freaking text.
- 18:19Speaker 6: Christmas shopping has already started in our house. My daughter
- 18:23Speaker 6: is so organised, already planning Christmas gifts from Macaulay. Hair
- 18:27Speaker 6: care for her aunt and a fab fragrance for her bestie.
- 18:29Speaker 6: But the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. I'm
- 18:32Speaker 6: an early bird, buying one present a week from now
- 18:34Speaker 6: till Christmas, which makes budgeting less stressful. I can buy
- 18:37Speaker 6: in-store or online from Macaulay.ie for home delivery or free
- 18:42Speaker 6: click and collect.
- 18:43Speaker 2: So easy.
- 18:44Speaker 6: Gifts they'll cherish at prices you'll love.
- 18:49Speaker 5: I'm Darman, and this is What Happens Next. Each week
- 18:52Speaker 5: on the show, I sit down with extraordinary people who
- 18:55Speaker 5: have faced tremendous setbacks and yet somehow have found a
- 19:00Speaker 5: way to turn them into their greatest strengths.
- 19:02Speaker 7: Life is one long lesson of chaos.
- 19:05Speaker 4: I'm heading to the Emmys, and I have police complaints
- 19:08Speaker 4: filed against me.
- 19:09Speaker 1: When your free will was about to be taken from you,
- 19:11Speaker 1: what would you do if it was given back?
- 19:13Speaker 7: Where did that need come from where you thought that
- 19:16Speaker 7: you had to succeed in order to feel loved?
- 19:19Speaker 4: He said, I have a work dad. I need a
- 19:20Speaker 4: home dad. What happens next?
- 19:22Speaker 5: When I came in, he started crying.
- 19:24Speaker 7: Everybody in life encounters hardships. What defines them is not
- 19:28Speaker 7: those hard moments that they go through. It's about what
- 19:31Speaker 7: happens next.
- 19:32Speaker 1: I decided to risk it all.
- 19:33Speaker 4: I realized how valuable every day was.
- 19:35Speaker 5: You're worth the work.
- 19:36Speaker 4: Listen, Dara, I'm not going to pull punches.
- 19:38Speaker 2: You can use your voice even if it's shaped.
- 19:41Speaker 5: The stories are different, but the impact is the same.
- 19:44Speaker 5: Only one question matters. What happens next?
- 19:56Speaker 2: So, you know, you said about not having insurance.
- 20:00Speaker 4: So, no, we had farmers for like eight years. Full coverage.
- 20:07Speaker 2: You and Heidi.
- 20:08Speaker 4: Yeah, like paying it. My dad never had anything because
- 20:11Speaker 4: he said, but we had that and they just dropped everybody.
- 20:16Speaker 4: I don't know, right after the, I'll get the exact date,
- 20:20Speaker 4: you know, because some people are like, they did it
- 20:21Speaker 4: last month. It wasn't last month because we've been fighting
- 20:24Speaker 4: and I've been taking photos and cutting trees just to
- 20:26Speaker 4: get this California fair plan that covers nothing. I mean,
- 20:31Speaker 4: it's not covering my water filter set up in the house.
- 20:35Speaker 4: You know, we put so much money in this house.
- 20:38Speaker 4: It's like, oh man. like we're going to fix the
- 20:41Speaker 4: four wall. It's so when people are like, Oh yeah, no, we,
- 20:46Speaker 4: we put everything in his house. We wouldn't need real
- 20:48Speaker 4: insurance cover. I mean, I had $ 2 million in crystals there.
- 20:52Speaker 4: That's not on California fair plan or whatever.
- 20:58Speaker 2: And I can understand. I know people are like, how
- 21:00Speaker 2: did your dad not have insurance? I'm guessing they owned
- 21:04Speaker 2: their house.
- 21:06Speaker 4: Okay.
- 21:06Speaker 2: Outright. So therefore a mortgage isn't demanding that they have it.
- 21:11Speaker 2: And then the price was probably so high that he.
- 21:15Speaker 4: Might have thought it wasn't worth it. My dad doesn't
- 21:17Speaker 4: even pay, doesn't want to pay for the newspaper. My
- 21:20Speaker 4: dad gets coffee at McDonald's. My dad eats a Taco
- 21:23Speaker 4: Bell three days a week for dinner. Like he's not
- 21:26Speaker 4: like Spencer Pratt. He's the polar opposite. So like he said,
- 21:32Speaker 4: Why would I even have fire insurance on a house
- 21:34Speaker 4: that's 125 years old? There's never been any fires. There's
- 21:38Speaker 4: been anywhere near that house.
- 21:42Speaker 2: And so now all of you guys, are your parents
- 21:46Speaker 2: near you, near your.
- 21:48Speaker 4: House that you're staying at? No, I'm trying to like,
- 21:49Speaker 4: I just did a post. They're in some apartment in
- 21:53Speaker 4: Santa Monica. My mom says there's like five people above
- 21:56Speaker 4: her flushing the toilet all night long. She can't sleep.
- 21:59Speaker 4: She can't walk her dogs. So, We're in their rental
- 22:02Speaker 4: place and I'm paying them rent so that they can,
- 22:07Speaker 4: you know, pay for all their stuff. So it's just like, it's.
- 22:13Speaker 2: It's just such a nightmare.
- 22:15Speaker 4: No, it's worse than a nightmare. No, I know.
- 22:19Speaker 2: I mean, I'm very lucky. You know, I've lived in
- 22:23Speaker 2: my area of Woodland Hills basically my whole life because
- 22:27Speaker 2: I bought the house next door to my parents. And
- 22:30Speaker 2: that the night of the of Tuesday night, I in
- 22:35Speaker 2: all of my years had never heard the wind that loud.
- 22:39Speaker 2: And like our like patio furniture being thrown around like
- 22:44Speaker 2: I never. So I do think there's a lot of mismanagement,
- 22:49Speaker 2: horrible mistakes that happened. But also, you know, the wind
- 22:53Speaker 2: was like something I've never experienced. We're just so lucky
- 22:56Speaker 2: that it didn't come near us.
- 22:58Speaker 4: So I never thought I'd be shouting out the LA
- 23:00Speaker 4: Times because, you know, they're not, you know, but the
- 23:02Speaker 4: LA Times just did a whole piece this morning. I
- 23:05Speaker 4: read it and it was about how they knew this
- 23:08Speaker 4: one was the here and they chose not to pre-deploy
- 23:13Speaker 4: all these fire and water pumps that they had on
- 23:16Speaker 4: deck and they chose not to. And so this is like,
- 23:19Speaker 4: it's not the New York Post. I love the New
- 23:20Speaker 4: York Post or this is the LA Times who usually
- 23:23Speaker 4: is like, hey, you know, it's very, you're not getting
- 23:27Speaker 4: to get political but right if they're coming for that
- 23:30Speaker 4: so that right there is just also i have videos
- 23:34Speaker 4: of my friends trying to save their houses there's no
- 23:37Speaker 4: reason why i'm glad i didn't say stay but and
- 23:40Speaker 4: there's no water coming out of even the uh faucet
- 23:45Speaker 4: like yeah they're showing them like i have a friend
- 23:47Speaker 4: has a video there's just a little fire in his
- 23:50Speaker 4: uh little courtyard area. He's showing no waters coming out
- 23:54Speaker 4: of the thing. That little fire, boom, right to the house,
- 23:57Speaker 4: tire house down. Wow. All right, he's got the whole video. So,
- 24:04Speaker 4: you know, and we're talking little, like a hose could
- 24:06Speaker 4: have put it out, no water, just right to the house, done.
- 24:11Speaker 2: And he was in your area as well?
- 24:13Speaker 4: Yeah, just down the street.
- 24:16Speaker 2: And then, you know, then of course people are aware
- 24:19Speaker 2: that we've had arsonists.
- 24:21Speaker 4: Oh, a hundred percent. This was started. There's no, I've been,
- 24:24Speaker 4: it's not even a, maybe like there's no power line.
- 24:28Speaker 4: Like there's just, I've been saying we go on hikes
- 24:31Speaker 4: every single day. That's all we do as a family
- 24:32Speaker 4: is hike these trails. And every day I'm like vigilant
- 24:36Speaker 4: looking at all these suspicious type people coming now into
- 24:39Speaker 4: the palaces because Temescal Canyon has this parking lot and
- 24:44Speaker 4: everybody parks now on Temescal. And it turned into Runyon Canyon.
- 24:48Speaker 4: Like if you don't know what Runyon Canyon is, It's
- 24:50Speaker 4: in Hollywood and just every single person on earth. Like
- 24:53Speaker 4: when I grew up, these trails were only people in
- 24:56Speaker 4: the Palisades. You didn't know about them. They were very,
- 24:59Speaker 4: it was low key. You'd be the only person on
- 25:02Speaker 4: a trail. Now it's like walking on the Grove or
- 25:05Speaker 4: the Promenade. It's ridiculous. So there's no way somebody didn't
- 25:11Speaker 4: start these. I will take that. There's no lightning in
- 25:14Speaker 4: the sky. There was no all of a sudden rocks
- 25:16Speaker 4: banged into each other. This was lit. And it's 100 percent.
- 25:20Speaker 4: You know, it's a fact. I don't care what anybody says.
- 25:24Speaker 2: Well, not too far from me. This guy was on
- 25:27Speaker 2: a bicycle with a blowtorch. I don't know if you
- 25:29Speaker 2: saw that video. And the like two dads in the neighborhood,
- 25:35Speaker 2: like Citizen arrested him. And so they caught him. And
- 25:40Speaker 2: then there were articles saying that they let him out.
- 25:42Speaker 2: And I'm like, I can't keep track of all the
- 25:44Speaker 2: stuff because I know. And then I just saw another
- 25:46Speaker 2: video TMZ put up of a very suspicious guy in
- 25:50Speaker 2: Topanga Canyon. And, you know, a neighbor there was filming
- 25:54Speaker 2: it and asking questions. And it's like, you know, it's
- 25:57Speaker 2: time for the Karens and the Kens to come out
- 26:00Speaker 2: of the woodwork again. Because see something, say something. And not,
- 26:03Speaker 2: you know, I was always the see something, say something.
- 26:07Speaker 2: I remember, like, years ago, I saw a guy, like,
- 26:10Speaker 2: smoking and talking about... kind of terrorist stuff at the
- 26:15Speaker 2: end of my thing, where our street backs up to
- 26:19Speaker 2: Santa Monica mountains too. And when I called, I remember
- 26:23Speaker 2: I called 911 and I said the whole thing and
- 26:26Speaker 2: they were so like rude and like not coming and
- 26:30Speaker 2: not caring. And I'm like, this guy is smoking and
- 26:33Speaker 2: doing this thing where it's all dry. And, you know,
- 26:37Speaker 2: and then I told the story like with Dr. Drew
- 26:40Speaker 2: or something on a podcast and, someone's sheriff husband like
- 26:44Speaker 2: tried to contact me and was like, wait, when was that?
- 26:47Speaker 2: Where was that? And I'm like, well, I'm glad that
- 26:49Speaker 2: you care, but like, what are you supposed to do
- 26:51Speaker 2: when you, when you see something, say something, and then
- 26:54Speaker 2: you're called like a racist or something. Yeah. Karen or
- 26:58Speaker 2: a racist because you're like, look, I'm not saying throw
- 27:01Speaker 2: away the key, but like, could you just check out
- 27:03Speaker 2: this kind of weird situation that's happening? Like it's, it's
- 27:07Speaker 2: just terrible.
- 27:08Speaker 4: Well, my thing, obviously I've been drinking white wine and
- 27:11Speaker 4: I thought about the other day on, on Tik TOK live.
- 27:14Speaker 4: But the reality of these trails is if you're not
- 27:18Speaker 4: a local and you care about the community, you should
- 27:21Speaker 4: have to have a, like a pass to go there
- 27:24Speaker 4: where they know you. Like if these trails have the
- 27:27Speaker 4: potential to burn entire cities, they should have park ranger check-ins.
- 27:32Speaker 4: You buy a yearly pass. They have your ID you
- 27:35Speaker 4: scan in because it's we have tsa we're worried about
- 27:39Speaker 4: airplanes with 300 people we're going getting naked and going
- 27:43Speaker 4: through body scans but anyone can just go behind all
- 27:45Speaker 4: our houses with gasoline or a torch and burn a
- 27:49Speaker 4: whole city down so just how unsecure these trails were
- 27:53Speaker 4: just is mind-boggling to me but initially in that morning
- 27:58Speaker 4: you know obviously things are all said but we heard
- 28:01Speaker 4: people saying that Palisades patrol. Somebody said they saw a
- 28:05Speaker 4: guy with two gas canisters. So, you know, that was initial.
- 28:11Speaker 4: So obviously the FBI, all these people are investigating, they're
- 28:14Speaker 4: not going to tell what's out there for real. But,
- 28:16Speaker 4: you know, I think there's crazy stuff's going to come out.
- 28:21Speaker 2: Well, I think that's a great point, you know, to
- 28:23Speaker 2: have more security in the future for something like that.
- 28:27Speaker 2: And you're right. You know, we do it for the
- 28:28Speaker 2: planes and everything where they know every single person going
- 28:31Speaker 2: on the plane, but not this. Um, I do feel
- 28:34Speaker 2: like forever LA will be pre 2024 fire and post 2020,
- 28:41Speaker 2: you know, people will go well before the fire. And
- 28:43Speaker 2: before that, like, I think it's going to be like
- 28:46Speaker 2: that for people that have lived in LA their whole
- 28:48Speaker 2: life that end up staying here. We'll see a real
- 28:51Speaker 2: division of like history.
- 28:53Speaker 4: Oh, I mean, I was already pretty much like, like
- 28:58Speaker 4: neighborhood watch. Like I felt this coming shout out. The
- 29:02Speaker 4: 90-year-old lady, Calliope, she's still alive. She's not living in
- 29:07Speaker 4: our next-door house. It's now burned down. It's a Greek lady.
- 29:10Speaker 4: And when we moved there, she made me like her lieutenant.
- 29:13Speaker 4: And she was like, they're going to burn down the
- 29:15Speaker 4: whole town. You need to stop these people from going
- 29:18Speaker 4: on these trails. She's always telling me, watch them. And
- 29:20Speaker 4: she would be out on the block. And she was
- 29:23Speaker 4: the most badass old lady. And I got her energy.
- 29:27Speaker 4: And I was like, she's right. So when I would see...
- 29:30Speaker 4: These kids, you know, people say there's kids. I don't
- 29:32Speaker 4: think this was kids. It was arsonists. But she was
- 29:34Speaker 4: worried because people go party up there. It's too early
- 29:38Speaker 4: in the day. So I think it was an arsonist.
- 29:40Speaker 4: If this had been at night, you know, these teenagers
- 29:42Speaker 4: were having their little beers and maybe they're smoking joints
- 29:46Speaker 4: or whatever. So at nighttime, I could go along. But
- 29:49Speaker 4: this is 10 in the morning. This is the high wind.
- 29:51Speaker 4: This is somebody who saw the news. Biggest wind event ever.
- 29:56Speaker 4: I'm going to go light the whole freaking city on fire.
- 29:59Speaker 2: Well, let's switch gears to the lemonade that you have
- 30:02Speaker 2: made out of the lemons that you were dealt. What, when,
- 30:07Speaker 2: and where? Oh, also people are saying make sure that
- 30:11Speaker 2: Spencer gets into a sauna every day to detox the smoke.
- 30:16Speaker 4: Our sauna burned down, so tell them to send me one.
- 30:19Speaker 2: Well, if there's, okay, someone with a sauna, I know
- 30:22Speaker 2: they make them. I actually sell them at Costco. I
- 30:24Speaker 2: know that there's individual smaller ones.
- 30:26Speaker 1: Okay.
- 30:27Speaker 4: It's funny, the sauna company reached out, I'll get a sauna.
- 30:30Speaker 2: Yeah, that would be great. But when did you get
- 30:35Speaker 2: the thought of, because I remember I texted you, you know,
- 30:39Speaker 2: we were texting and I just said, you know, there's
- 30:42Speaker 2: GoFundMes and stuff and I want to, but I don't
- 30:45Speaker 2: want it to be the wrong link or have something
- 30:47Speaker 2: be corrupt. And all you said was, tell them to
- 30:50Speaker 2: stream Heidi's music. Also go to Pratt Daddy for the crystals.
- 30:55Speaker 2: And so I did that. But what made you think,
- 31:00Speaker 2: wait a minute, I have to, this is something people
- 31:03Speaker 2: can do for free to help us and let's see
- 31:05Speaker 2: where it goes. Like, I want to know your, when
- 31:07Speaker 2: you thought of it, like, I want to know your
- 31:09Speaker 2: whole thought process of promoting Heidi. And did you ever
- 31:13Speaker 2: imagine it would be this six days later?
- 31:15Speaker 4: No, I mean, it was just, we're at zero. So
- 31:21Speaker 4: the panic in Heidi's face of like, She couldn't breathe
- 31:24Speaker 4: and knowing like we have no, like we put all
- 31:26Speaker 4: our money into this house to like have our sons.
- 31:28Speaker 4: Like we always joke, like we're building every detail into
- 31:32Speaker 4: this house so we can leave them this and just
- 31:34Speaker 4: pay off this mortgage. And we joked how they were
- 31:37Speaker 4: going to divide the house. Like who gets the top floor,
- 31:40Speaker 4: who gets the bottom. And again, it's a 3000 square
- 31:42Speaker 4: foot house. It's not this like mansion thing. You know,
- 31:46Speaker 4: it only was valued at that at Zillow recently. It
- 31:49Speaker 4: was not valued at like that before the Palisades turned into,
- 31:52Speaker 4: you know, all the movie stars were there. But that's
- 31:55Speaker 4: why I keep telling people the Palisades was not, you know,
- 31:58Speaker 4: growing up, all my friends were not rich. The alphabet
- 32:02Speaker 4: streets that all the movie stars and people live in
- 32:04Speaker 4: now was, I'm not kidding, like the hood, you know,
- 32:07Speaker 4: you drive, oh, you're going to get beat up going
- 32:09Speaker 4: through the alphabet streets. Like this is where all the
- 32:11Speaker 4: scary people live. You know, so it's just so funny.
- 32:15Speaker 4: which is so whatever, but I was just, we're at
- 32:18Speaker 4: zero and there's only like, I've come on your podcast
- 32:21Speaker 4: a million times and it's like, there's only a few
- 32:23Speaker 4: things I can do to make income, sell our crystals
- 32:26Speaker 4: or stream Heidi's music. So that's just like what I
- 32:29Speaker 4: already have been saying. And you know, this, this time
- 32:33Speaker 4: there was a bigger platform.
- 32:36Speaker 2: And so with the music, cause I thought, okay, so the,
- 32:40Speaker 2: the song that we're all hearing that I'll be here,
- 32:44Speaker 2: You know, I'll be your blonde tonight.
- 32:46Speaker 4: I'll do it.
- 32:47Speaker 2: I'll do it. Now, did that all do it was
- 32:50Speaker 2: part of the album from 15 years ago or is
- 32:52Speaker 2: that a newer song? Because I thought that was a
- 32:54Speaker 2: newer song.
- 32:55Speaker 4: No, that's the song like when I've come on the
- 32:58Speaker 4: podcast before and I was like, in China, it's blowing up.
- 33:01Speaker 4: That's the song that blew up in China. So that's
- 33:05Speaker 4: 15 years old.
- 33:07Speaker 2: So all of her music is from when you guys
- 33:09Speaker 2: did this album 15 years ago.
- 33:12Speaker 4: Now there's some like five new songs since I've been
- 33:15Speaker 4: coming on your podcast.
- 33:16Speaker 3: Right.
- 33:16Speaker 4: That's what I thought.
- 33:17Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 33:17Speaker 4: I'll do it was good. And I was saying for
- 33:19Speaker 4: the algorithm, you got to make new songs to keep
- 33:22Speaker 4: pushing the old songs. So, you know, now we have
- 33:25Speaker 4: newer songs just to like keep the old ones alive.
- 33:30Speaker 2: And so everybody starts streaming it, loving it, you know,
- 33:34Speaker 2: cause there are, there are so many good pop beats.
- 33:37Speaker 2: It's all in our heads now. And then you bought
- 33:40Speaker 2: some really exciting songs. like people coming to that wants
- 33:44Speaker 2: to collaborate like we're tell me the exciting stuff that's
- 33:48Speaker 2: happening i've heard people.
- 33:50Speaker 4: Yeah the problem with the exciting stuff is all these
- 33:52Speaker 4: people are so secretive and like once it's official they
- 33:55Speaker 4: don't want you to talk and i'm like i need
- 33:58Speaker 4: things to talk about that are positive like that's cool
- 34:01Speaker 4: for you 200 millionaire that you can save the good
- 34:04Speaker 4: news for oh let's put that out later i'm like
- 34:07Speaker 4: so that's a little frustrating there's a lot of like
- 34:11Speaker 4: incredible things happening. And I'm, and they're like, Oh no,
- 34:14Speaker 4: you can't talk about it. This is it. We talk
- 34:17Speaker 4: about it now or, you know, or never, but so
- 34:21Speaker 4: that's annoying. But there are some like huge things that could,
- 34:27Speaker 4: you know, I guess one thing I've learned is you
- 34:29Speaker 4: never know what's going to happen. So.
- 34:32Speaker 2: Well, one thing that I think is so great about
- 34:34Speaker 2: you is like, you know, of course we all watched
- 34:37Speaker 2: Heidi and Spencer and Spidey and, you know, being famous and,
- 34:41Speaker 2: the most hated couple on reality TV, the most hated man,
- 34:46Speaker 2: seeing old videos of the cast of The Hills warning
- 34:50Speaker 2: Heidi to not be involved with you and everything. And
- 34:55Speaker 2: then I remember the first time you came on Juicy Scoop,
- 34:59Speaker 2: and it really was because someone sent me a hummingbird video.
- 35:03Speaker 2: And I feel so lucky that I got to go
- 35:05Speaker 2: to your house and put on the hummingbird hat and everything.
- 35:08Speaker 4: Crazy, they're all gone.
- 35:10Speaker 6: And.
- 35:11Speaker 2: Um, and I remember you came and you're like, oh,
- 35:14Speaker 2: I got here early and I went over to Gelson's
- 35:16Speaker 2: hoping that someone would recognize me, but nobody does. And
- 35:19Speaker 2: you were so like, right away, I just clicked with
- 35:22Speaker 2: your humor. I just think you're so naturally funny. And
- 35:26Speaker 2: I remember the first time I had you on the show,
- 35:28Speaker 2: people were like, what are you doing? Having him on
- 35:30Speaker 2: your show and blah, blah, blah, blah. And then, you know,
- 35:33Speaker 2: through the last few years with you being so active
- 35:36Speaker 2: on Snapchat and TikTok and doing, you know, my show
- 35:38Speaker 2: and having your own show. People now realize that you
- 35:41Speaker 2: really are just a good family guy in love with
- 35:45Speaker 2: his wife, funny and brutally honest, and you have people's
- 35:49Speaker 2: back and you are loyal. So how does it feel
- 35:54Speaker 2: now to have all these people, like now you guys
- 35:56Speaker 2: are the most popular kids in the school again on
- 35:59Speaker 2: the internet.
- 36:00Speaker 8: And all these people being like, I always loved.
- 36:03Speaker 2: Heidi and Spencer, but maybe you never heard from them
- 36:06Speaker 2: in the last five years. Like, what is it doing?
- 36:08Speaker 2: I mean, I feel it's all positive. It's all good.
- 36:10Speaker 2: But there's got to be a little bit of that, like,
- 36:13Speaker 2: now it's cool to be, you know?
- 36:17Speaker 4: You know, that's this, like, emotional... I can't even enjoy it.
- 36:25Speaker 4: Cause it's like, like last night I was on a
- 36:28Speaker 4: call with the president of a record label. Like they're
- 36:30Speaker 4: talking about signing Heidi. And then, you know, my mom's
- 36:33Speaker 4: calling me and I think she sounds so emotional. I'm like,
- 36:35Speaker 4: did she just have a stroke? She's not like finishing
- 36:37Speaker 4: her sentences. And she's like, so, so it's like the,
- 36:42Speaker 4: like anytime I get like the moment of joy, it's
- 36:45Speaker 4: just like so wrong for me. So it's like, that's
- 36:51Speaker 4: why I joke today. to an interview, I was like,
- 36:54Speaker 4: I feel like I'm in purgatory. Like, it's like heaven
- 36:58Speaker 4: and hell. It's like, oh, your dreams are come true.
- 37:00Speaker 4: You're the most famous person ever, everywhere you go. And
- 37:04Speaker 4: all these opportunities are coming, but it's like, oh, your
- 37:07Speaker 4: whole world burned down and everything you loved and cherished.
- 37:11Speaker 4: And even now with all the success, like, well, I
- 37:14Speaker 4: can't go to my favorite anything. I can't drop Gunnar
- 37:17Speaker 4: off at karate. I can't go to tinkering where I'm
- 37:20Speaker 4: not waiting in line for, oh, this pickup with all
- 37:23Speaker 4: the parents that I've known now since preschool and they're
- 37:25Speaker 4: all moved. So it's like, it's just this, it's like
- 37:30Speaker 4: so amazing and so horrible. Cause I'd rather, I was
- 37:34Speaker 4: happy enough how little fame I had with like my life.
- 37:38Speaker 4: So it's like, yeah, it's like, don't get me wrong.
- 37:41Speaker 4: If like, I keep joking. If Heidi becomes a global
- 37:44Speaker 4: pop superstar and I have $ 200 million, maybe I'll be
- 37:47Speaker 4: in Hawaii. Like, yeah, it's, this is, I'll figure it out,
- 37:51Speaker 4: and my mom's there, and my dad, and like, it
- 37:53Speaker 4: goes to that level, but one thing I've learned about
- 37:56Speaker 4: fame is like, in a week, this could be over,
- 37:58Speaker 4: and it was like, oh, like, I was so famous
- 38:00Speaker 4: for a week, and it was positivity, and I now
- 38:04Speaker 4: am back to, you know, so, I've already was so famous,
- 38:08Speaker 4: and then went away, so I already know what that
- 38:10Speaker 4: feels like, so I, it's hard to even get excited
- 38:13Speaker 4: that there is that light and opportunity, so yeah, all
- 38:17Speaker 4: these people are so nice now, but oh, in a week,
- 38:19Speaker 4: Taylor Swift's new album comes out. She has a baby
- 38:22Speaker 4: with Travis Kelsey. The news shifts and, you know, we're
- 38:26Speaker 4: back to having no house and our friends have no house.
- 38:28Speaker 4: So it's just, it's so amazing and just so awful.
- 38:32Speaker 4: It's just the worst. Like, you'll be like so happy
- 38:35Speaker 4: and you'll just be crying. So, but yes, it's, you know,
- 38:40Speaker 4: I don't care if all these people hated me and
- 38:42Speaker 4: now they say they love me. That's great.
- 38:44Speaker 2: Yeah, take all the love.
- 38:46Speaker 4: I don't, you know, But it is funny when certain
- 38:50Speaker 4: people take so long, you know, there's people I've had
- 38:54Speaker 4: to actually text, like, hey, you know, and I'm texting
- 38:58Speaker 4: them and it just shows me, and then they eventually
- 39:00Speaker 4: do it after like being pretty much bullied into it.
- 39:03Speaker 4: I'm like, what, to post Heidi's song? Like, so it
- 39:08Speaker 4: already had a very small circle, but it definitely got
- 39:11Speaker 4: smaller after this experience.
- 39:14Speaker 2: Yeah, I think, you know, when you go through I mean,
- 39:17Speaker 2: I've gone through some stuff, much, much, nothing like this,
- 39:20Speaker 2: you know? But, you know, you were one of those people.
- 39:25Speaker 8: That, you know, you were one of those people that
- 39:29Speaker 8: was like, no bullshit you're my friend like fuck all
- 39:34Speaker 8: these people and when you saw the people that weren't
- 39:36Speaker 8: good to me you didn't take a photo with them
- 39:38Speaker 8: and post it you know you turned away and you
- 39:42Speaker 8: like you stay really true to who You are and
- 39:46Speaker 8: who you know are good people.
- 39:48Speaker 2: And so to me, like, I am so happy that
- 39:52Speaker 2: everyone is seeing you for who you are and always
- 39:56Speaker 2: has been, which is a wonderful husband, dad and son
- 39:59Speaker 2: and friend, you know, because people should know that. And,
- 40:04Speaker 2: you know, a neighbor and everything else. And that, you know,
- 40:07Speaker 2: this was your your town that you grew up in.
- 40:10Speaker 2: And it it was the most I always said it
- 40:13Speaker 2: was the most idyllic place to live. It wasn't on
- 40:16Speaker 2: the beach, but you got the breeze. You didn't get
- 40:18Speaker 2: the fog, but you were closer to the city. It
- 40:22Speaker 2: was so beautiful, but it wasn't pretentious. It was such
- 40:27Speaker 2: a special place, you know, the Palisades.
- 40:29Speaker 4: People always say to me, you know, especially California haters, like,
- 40:32Speaker 4: why do you live in California? Why do you live
- 40:34Speaker 4: in LA? Why don't you move? And I always say,
- 40:36Speaker 4: I don't live there. I live in the Palisades. Because
- 40:38Speaker 4: to me, it was like this utopia. And again, people
- 40:41Speaker 4: don't get, like, I grew up there. I went to
- 40:43Speaker 4: preschool there. I know everything. Everyone. So then when like
- 40:47Speaker 4: haters are like, he's not doing anything for anybody but himself.
- 40:50Speaker 4: I'm like, do you know how many group chats I'm
- 40:53Speaker 4: on with like every single person that lost their house?
- 40:56Speaker 4: And these like, so just the, that's why you just
- 41:00Speaker 4: know there's arsonists. Cause the level of just demons in
- 41:03Speaker 4: the comment section is just, there are monsters on this earth.
- 41:07Speaker 4: I'm like, so I have no doubt there's people will
- 41:10Speaker 4: burn a whole town down just based off of the
- 41:12Speaker 4: frequency of, you read in these comments sections. So that's
- 41:17Speaker 4: just the thing that is just like, the town was perfect. And,
- 41:23Speaker 4: and now I am like, you know, even if we
- 41:26Speaker 4: get a couple hundred million dollars and how he's the
- 41:27Speaker 4: biggest star in the world, like, what are we going
- 41:30Speaker 4: to do? Like, is it worth living in California if
- 41:32Speaker 4: I'm not on the Palisades? And that's what we keep on.
- 41:34Speaker 4: You know, I almost got attacked last night in Santa
- 41:37Speaker 4: Barbara in a Mexican restaurant. That would never happen to me.
- 41:40Speaker 4: Some guy tried to fight. I was just doing a
- 41:42Speaker 4: TikTok in a closed restaurant. And this guy starts threatening me.
- 41:45Speaker 4: He's going to beat me up and come outside. And
- 41:48Speaker 4: it's like that would never happen in the Palisades. That
- 41:50Speaker 4: would never happen in my Don Antonio's. So just being
- 41:54Speaker 4: out of my safe zone, I'm already just not even
- 41:58Speaker 4: a week into it. And people are trying to threaten
- 42:00Speaker 4: me and beat me up for no reason.
- 42:03Speaker 2: Wait, was that guy knew who you were?
- 42:06Speaker 4: No, I don't even know you knew. I think he
- 42:07Speaker 4: was just a crazy dude.
- 42:09Speaker 2: Just a crazy person.
- 42:10Speaker 4: Okay.
- 42:11Speaker 2: Yeah. Well, I want to talk to Heidi, too.
- 42:15Speaker 4: Is she available?
- 42:17Speaker 3: Okay.
- 42:17Speaker 4: Thank you, Juicy Scoopers.
- 42:18Speaker 2: I love you.
- 42:19Speaker 4: Love all of you back. And you.
- 42:22Speaker 2: Heidi, first of all, you look very young and well-rested
- 42:25Speaker 2: for what you've been through. You have no makeup on,
- 42:27Speaker 2: but the hair looks cute and you look like you're 21.
- 42:30Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 42:32Speaker 4: Thanks.
- 42:32Speaker 3: I'll just rock with it. This is what I got.
- 42:35Speaker 2: So I, you know, got the harrowing story of the
- 42:39Speaker 2: last week of your life from your husband, Spencer, but
- 42:43Speaker 2: I want to switch the gears to some of the,
- 42:46Speaker 2: the joy that's come from the tragedy, which is, so
- 42:50Speaker 2: you did this album 15 years ago. And I remember
- 42:55Speaker 2: when you guys did that first video on the beach and,
- 42:59Speaker 2: Where he filmed you and you sang that song?
- 43:02Speaker 4: Higher. Higher.
- 43:03Speaker 2: Because we saw it. It was like one of the
- 43:07Speaker 2: early years of when I was on Chelsea Lately. And
- 43:09Speaker 2: we did a parody of it. And I got a
- 43:13Speaker 2: peach tankini. I didn't want to wear a bikini. Because
- 43:17Speaker 2: I think my son was about one and a half
- 43:18Speaker 2: at the time. So I wore a peach tankini and
- 43:21Speaker 2: met our producer at the beach in Malibu. And on
- 43:27Speaker 2: those same type of rocks. And he filmed me and
- 43:30Speaker 2: I was like doing it. And it was so early
- 43:33Speaker 2: on that we I think I got a million views
- 43:37Speaker 2: on YouTube, our parody of you guys. And of course,
- 43:40Speaker 2: I didn't know you until the last like five years
- 43:43Speaker 2: that I know you like personally. But in seeing everybody
- 43:47Speaker 2: excited for you and playing your music and stuff, I
- 43:50Speaker 2: think it's amazing. But also what I think like the
- 43:54Speaker 2: Internet world is falling in love with is you guys
- 43:57Speaker 2: as a couple. who have been together so long. And
- 44:03Speaker 2: I'm seeing all these clips from the hills of people saying,
- 44:08Speaker 2: you know, Heidi, get away from Spencer. He's evil. And
- 44:12Speaker 2: I kind of want to ask you, like, what was
- 44:14Speaker 2: that like back then? And what told you that he's...
- 44:18Speaker 2: How did you know not to believe those people? And
- 44:22Speaker 2: you knew the soul of the man that would be
- 44:24Speaker 2: your husband and father of your two boys. That was.
- 44:29Speaker 3: Besides this, the most difficult thing, you know, I really
- 44:34Speaker 3: risked everything for Spencer then. And he was new to
- 44:37Speaker 3: my world, you know. So I had these friends and
- 44:41Speaker 3: I had these people. And, you know, at first everyone
- 44:45Speaker 3: liked Spencer, right? And everyone loved Spencer and he was great.
- 44:50Speaker 3: When Lauren and I were double dating and all this stuff.
- 44:52Speaker 3: And then when Lauren decided nobody can like Spencer anymore,
- 44:57Speaker 3: then everyone... kind of hopped on that train. And I
- 45:01Speaker 3: do see a part of where they were coming from
- 45:07Speaker 3: because Spencer and I started scripting things. And no one
- 45:11Speaker 3: was doing that in the show yet. And Spencer and
- 45:13Speaker 3: I would talk about it. And then I would see
- 45:15Speaker 3: it and I really would get upset even though he's like, okay, well,
- 45:18Speaker 3: is it cool? Should I come in and make drama
- 45:20Speaker 3: with some girls?
- 45:21Speaker 4: I'm like, yeah, totally.
- 45:22Speaker 3: Trying to be all cool. Sure, definitely. Let's do it.
- 45:26Speaker 3: And then you see and you're like, oh my gosh,
- 45:27Speaker 3: I'm actually not cool with this. And now I'm really upset.
- 45:30Speaker 3: And I was pretending to be upset. So that was
- 45:32Speaker 3: in the early onset of it. And everyone just didn't
- 45:38Speaker 3: like the produced segments. And then they didn't like that
- 45:46Speaker 3: we teamed up and we were really a team and
- 45:48Speaker 3: it became the cast and then Spencer and I. And
- 45:52Speaker 3: so everybody wanted like a different agenda, but I always
- 45:56Speaker 3: knew Spencer and I fell in love with him the
- 45:58Speaker 3: night I met him. He just has this charismatic, charming, smart, sexy, cool, confident.
- 46:06Speaker 3: I mean, he's just like that guy. Everybody loves Spencer, right?
- 46:09Speaker 3: Like in the clubs and Back then he was like
- 46:11Speaker 3: an it sought after bachelor and it was known like, oh,
- 46:15Speaker 3: Spencer doesn't want a girlfriend. I was like, I got this.
- 46:19Speaker 3: You know, so I just loved Spencer from the minute
- 46:21Speaker 3: and he, I've always seen Spencer and known he has
- 46:25Speaker 3: the biggest heart.
- 46:26Speaker 2: Did you have a moment like, you know, like out
- 46:28Speaker 2: of a movie and you met him, did you have
- 46:30Speaker 2: a feeling like this is it? Was it that kind
- 46:33Speaker 2: of a thing?
- 46:34Speaker 3: Oh yeah. For me it was, it was like love
- 46:36Speaker 3: at first sight, obsessed with him. I mean, I had,
- 46:39Speaker 3: Dated a few guys, you know, so I feel like
- 46:42Speaker 3: I had a good gauge of.
- 46:44Speaker 2: But how old were you when you met him?
- 46:46Speaker 3: I was 19. That is crazy. Yeah, and I just
- 46:51Speaker 3: fell madly in love with him and it was so
- 46:53Speaker 3: different and it was hard for me to like stay
- 46:56Speaker 3: interested in certain guys, you know what I mean? But
- 46:59Speaker 3: I met Spence and I was just obsessed with him
- 47:01Speaker 3: and it just was like a soul connection for me
- 47:03Speaker 3: and I really... fell in love with him and it
- 47:06Speaker 3: was worth risking everything and people just didn't understand and
- 47:10Speaker 3: the cast didn't understand and then once Lauren turned everyone
- 47:13Speaker 3: had to side with her anyways and it was just
- 47:16Speaker 3: it was hard to navigate but for me it was
- 47:18Speaker 3: worth risking everything and you know I'm I have a
- 47:22Speaker 3: deep faith and I really prayed about it a lot
- 47:24Speaker 3: and I was like all right God like am I
- 47:27Speaker 3: making this up is this the love of my life
- 47:29Speaker 3: like if not then you know let me know and
- 47:32Speaker 3: I always felt in my heart and my soul, like, no,
- 47:34Speaker 3: this is, this is it. This is your person. Like that's,
- 47:37Speaker 3: it's worth the risk.
- 47:40Speaker 2: And I think what people are really seeing, even in
- 47:43Speaker 2: small little Snapchats, I saw somebody put together a video of,
- 47:48Speaker 2: it said all the times Spencer, here's a mirage or whatever.
- 47:52Speaker 2: Here's a collage of all the times Spencer has shown
- 47:55Speaker 2: his being obsessed with Heidi. And it was someone just
- 47:58Speaker 2: put together all these little things and, of him just, like,
- 48:02Speaker 2: saying things and, like, the subtle things that now I
- 48:06Speaker 2: feel like, you know, people love to see that with
- 48:10Speaker 2: other couples. It gives them hope. Like, can I have
- 48:14Speaker 2: something like that, that kind of dedication? And so, you know,
- 48:19Speaker 2: being that you guys both were TV people, and he
- 48:23Speaker 2: was really one before you because he was doing The
- 48:25Speaker 2: Princes of Malibu and wanting to be a producer, how
- 48:29Speaker 2: did you guys come with, like, wait a minute you
- 48:32Speaker 2: know you like to sing you're gorgeous why can't you
- 48:35Speaker 2: be the next pop star and let's put our money
- 48:38Speaker 2: into it and make it happen when you guys did
- 48:40Speaker 2: the the album 15 years ago like how did that
- 48:43Speaker 2: come about what kind of discussion was going on between
- 48:45Speaker 2: the two of.
- 48:46Speaker 3: You I actually started doing music before I met Spencer
- 48:49Speaker 3: so right when the hills started I was in like
- 48:51Speaker 3: voice lessons and I had a music manager and I
- 48:55Speaker 3: was going more down that like Ashley Simpson route. And
- 48:59Speaker 3: Spencer's like, is this the type of music you want
- 49:01Speaker 3: to do? And I was like, no, I want to
- 49:02Speaker 3: do pop. But this manager saying, you know, and I,
- 49:05Speaker 3: everyone had their parents be agents and managers and all this.
- 49:07Speaker 3: And I didn't, I was by myself in Hollywood. My
- 49:10Speaker 3: parents owned a restaurant and were hard workers and they're.
- 49:12Speaker 4: Like, good luck.
- 49:13Speaker 3: They couldn't really help me with that. So yeah, I
- 49:17Speaker 3: had this random music manager and it's like, I know
- 49:20Speaker 3: David Foster and I can help you and I'll step
- 49:23Speaker 3: in and do this. And I was like, okay, well,
- 49:25Speaker 3: if you can do it, great, let's go. And he
- 49:27Speaker 3: just took the reins of it and got me with
- 49:30Speaker 3: David Foster. And we actually had a record deal with
- 49:33Speaker 3: Warner that we ended up saying no to because it
- 49:35Speaker 3: was a 360 deal and they wanted some of the
- 49:38Speaker 3: Hills money. And we were just like, all right, let's
- 49:40Speaker 3: try to go on our own. And then we ended
- 49:42Speaker 3: up getting distribution through Warner later. But we were with
- 49:45Speaker 3: very big dogs in the music industry from the beginning.
- 49:51Speaker 3: So Spencer really had more connections. And I always believed
- 49:54Speaker 3: in Spencer. And it was hard because he was so young.
- 49:57Speaker 3: So a lot of people wouldn't take him as serious.
- 49:59Speaker 3: But if he were older, he would have commanded a
- 50:03Speaker 3: lot more respect naturally because people just don't give that
- 50:06Speaker 3: to to younger people. But I think now everyone can
- 50:10Speaker 3: see what a genius he has been this whole time
- 50:13Speaker 3: and what a hard worker and, you know, he can,
- 50:16Speaker 3: no one can hustle like him.
- 50:19Speaker 2: But also he was young and blonde and like picturesque
- 50:23Speaker 2: for a California surfer with that raspy little surfer voice.
- 50:27Speaker 2: So that's not exactly like what you see as like
- 50:30Speaker 2: a Hollywood agent either. That's not the typical look there either.
- 50:35Speaker 2: So I can imagine why they're like, what's this little,
- 50:38Speaker 2: surfer kid rolling up, talking about his hot girlfriend and
- 50:41Speaker 2: why she should be a star. So when all this
- 50:45Speaker 2: started to happen and you guys are in this other house,
- 50:52Speaker 2: barely any sleep, two little kids, your boys are seven
- 50:54Speaker 2: and two, and you start seeing that actually this movement
- 51:00Speaker 2: of streaming your songs and your albums is really getting
- 51:05Speaker 2: up there. What was your thought? What has been your
- 51:08Speaker 2: feeling towards this last week of that part of your life?
- 51:12Speaker 3: Well, last year is really when it hit me that
- 51:15Speaker 3: my music was taking off, and that was the beginning.
- 51:18Speaker 3: Not like right now, but we got a huge check
- 51:21Speaker 3: in the mail, and I was like, oh my gosh,
- 51:24Speaker 3: what has happened? They're like, yeah, you're trending in China
- 51:26Speaker 3: and internationally, and I've done a few performances this year,
- 51:29Speaker 3: and we've been back in the studio because People are
- 51:32Speaker 3: wanting new music. And there's like this cult following of
- 51:36Speaker 3: my album. And I've had people come up to me
- 51:38Speaker 3: and my performance is like, you don't know, you gave
- 51:40Speaker 3: me such escapism. You actually helped save my life. I've
- 51:42Speaker 3: had people say that to me about my music. And
- 51:44Speaker 3: I'm like, oh my gosh, if I did my music
- 51:47Speaker 3: to help one person through their adolescence or to give
- 51:51Speaker 3: them hope or escapism, then it was worth it. Plus
- 51:54Speaker 3: it started making an income. So that was incredible. And
- 51:59Speaker 3: then we've been preparing for the 15 year anniversary of
- 52:02Speaker 3: Superficial for like six months, right? That's great. And that
- 52:07Speaker 3: was this month. And the timing was just really ironic
- 52:11Speaker 3: and crazy. And so to have Spencer be able to
- 52:17Speaker 3: rally the nation and the world behind him with his
- 52:20Speaker 3: heart and his hustle towards our family and everybody in
- 52:24Speaker 3: putting that towards streaming my music has been amazing and
- 52:28Speaker 3: such a payoff of such hard work and dedication and
- 52:33Speaker 3: so much we've put into that. And it's like our
- 52:35Speaker 3: only hope right now to like rebuild like our family,
- 52:40Speaker 3: you know? So, um, to have people step back and
- 52:46Speaker 3: be able to see us in a different light instead
- 52:49Speaker 3: of just throwing, um, negative negativity at us like we
- 52:54Speaker 3: have experienced so much of. It's just been a really
- 52:58Speaker 3: big blessing and a nice shift to have that support
- 53:01Speaker 3: for the first time.
- 53:03Speaker 2: Well, I'm seeing a lot of fun comments and thoughts
- 53:06Speaker 2: of besides you continuing with your music of people wanting to,
- 53:11Speaker 2: you know, see more of your family and you. So
- 53:15Speaker 2: a couple of things that have been thrown out. I
- 53:16Speaker 2: want to ask you, would you, would you do dancing
- 53:19Speaker 2: with the stars?
- 53:20Speaker 3: I would, I'm a good dancer.
- 53:22Speaker 2: I think that would be really fun to see your
- 53:26Speaker 2: three blonde men, like in little suits watching you on
- 53:29Speaker 2: the sideline. Like, I really think that is a moment.
- 53:32Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 53:33Speaker 2: Um, okay. So you would do that. Good. Um, Someone
- 53:36Speaker 2: said that you guys should both do it. I go,
- 53:38Speaker 2: they can't both do it at the same time because
- 53:40Speaker 2: someone has to be with the kids. You guys are, like,
- 53:42Speaker 2: so hands-on with your kids.
- 53:43Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 53:44Speaker 2: So I vote for you first. I think the outfits
- 53:47Speaker 2: would be better. Another something I saw in the comments
- 53:52Speaker 2: was if you're to do a reality show, to call
- 53:55Speaker 2: it The Prats From Scratch Starting Over. I think that's
- 53:59Speaker 2: a really cute name.
- 54:01Speaker 3: That's good. I like that.
- 54:02Speaker 2: I think there's a lot of versions of... some type
- 54:06Speaker 2: of reality show in following you, whether it's fall, it
- 54:10Speaker 2: could be everything. I don't think you need a big
- 54:14Speaker 2: group of people around you. Like when the hell's returned,
- 54:16Speaker 2: because yeah, we can follow your music. We can follow,
- 54:20Speaker 2: you know, you know, stay at home, dad, Spencer, but
- 54:24Speaker 2: at all of that, he's so entertaining, but then also,
- 54:27Speaker 2: you know, whatever this rebuild is, um, As a community,
- 54:33Speaker 2: as an HTV, as like what's a trend, what's not,
- 54:38Speaker 2: even what kind of houses to build that might be
- 54:42Speaker 2: a different style because they will be more protective against
- 54:45Speaker 2: future fires and things like that. I think there could
- 54:47Speaker 2: be so many interesting things in which we can continue
- 54:51Speaker 2: to follow you with part two of your life. So
- 54:57Speaker 2: what do you think of all those things? Are you
- 54:59Speaker 2: down for that?
- 54:59Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 55:00Speaker 3: Um, I would love that. I think dancing with the stars,
- 55:03Speaker 3: I said to Spencer, I'm like, we both did it
- 55:05Speaker 3: be so funny. Like, you know, we could get a,
- 55:07Speaker 3: cause it's not as much as you think I heard.
- 55:10Speaker 4: Okay.
- 55:11Speaker 3: Then both of you guys, but Spencer was like, no,
- 55:14Speaker 3: because I wouldn't make it past the first week. Cause
- 55:16Speaker 3: he can't memorize things. He can't memorize like songs or moves.
- 55:21Speaker 3: Like he, his brain works so well with so many
- 55:23Speaker 3: other things, but like memorizing things. is in a strong suit.
- 55:26Speaker 3: But I was like, if you get it or I
- 55:28Speaker 3: get it, one of us is going on for sure. Um,
- 55:31Speaker 3: the reality show thing is hard because I would love that.
- 55:35Speaker 3: And we've just been in this industry for so long
- 55:38Speaker 3: and you see that like the hype and people are excited,
- 55:41Speaker 3: but it's hard to see it translate. So like, I'm hopeful,
- 55:46Speaker 3: but I don't know. It's, it's, it's, definitely challenging to
- 55:51Speaker 3: get a reality show, but we are going to rebuild
- 55:53Speaker 3: our house fireproof because our neighbor's house was the only
- 55:56Speaker 3: house that stood by and is still there completely unscathed
- 56:00Speaker 3: because he's the architect and they built a fireproof house
- 56:03Speaker 3: and he already agreed to rebuild our house.
- 56:07Speaker 2: Well, I hope that almost, I would say, I hope
- 56:10Speaker 2: all the houses do something like that. Or I saw
- 56:14Speaker 2: this thing in Japan where the houses have their own
- 56:16Speaker 2: like water system to spray it, like from the outside
- 56:20Speaker 2: and things like that. But I do also feel bad
- 56:23Speaker 2: for the few people whose houses did stay because I'm like,
- 56:28Speaker 2: what is that like, you know, to be there and
- 56:31Speaker 2: smoke inhalation or to just hear construction or, you know,
- 56:35Speaker 2: I mean, you're happy that you got a house and
- 56:37Speaker 2: your stuff is in it and you're, you know, you're
- 56:39Speaker 2: not 100% displaced, but like, it's just, you know, like
- 56:43Speaker 2: just so awful all around. But the fact that, you know,
- 56:48Speaker 2: the good things are that there were alerts that people
- 56:51Speaker 2: did leave, you know, of course there are deaths, a
- 56:54Speaker 2: lot of deaths still, but like a lot of people
- 56:56Speaker 2: were saved because they had the system with the iPhone
- 57:00Speaker 2: of like, evacuate now, get out now. And we were
- 57:04Speaker 2: all a batches of nerves. I'm lucky enough that it
- 57:06Speaker 2: didn't come to my neighborhood, but to just have those
- 57:09Speaker 2: alerts go off all the time. I mean, it's just like,
- 57:11Speaker 2: everyone is like, you can tell just even people that
- 57:14Speaker 2: weren't affected by it, but you see them a week later,
- 57:17Speaker 2: like everyone's eyes are sunken in and this, you know,
- 57:21Speaker 2: it's just a different, oh, it's awful.
- 57:24Speaker 4: So.
- 57:25Speaker 3: Well, our alerts didn't go off soon enough and we
- 57:28Speaker 3: stayed almost too late. So, um, Thankfully, our babysitter, our
- 57:33Speaker 3: nanny came in with Riker and she's like, there's a fire.
- 57:37Speaker 3: And we had no idea. And then we look outside
- 57:40Speaker 3: and there are huge clouds of smoke everywhere. And we're like,
- 57:44Speaker 3: oh my gosh, like if she had it come in
- 57:47Speaker 3: with him, we wouldn't even have known. And then we're like,
- 57:49Speaker 3: do we pack? Do we not pack? Or is it
- 57:52Speaker 3: over the hill? Is it going to come this close?
- 57:54Speaker 3: Like it was really confusing. And I don't know if
- 57:57Speaker 3: Spencer told you, but Gunnar had 104 fever and I
- 57:59Speaker 3: had been up with him. three nights in a row,
- 58:02Speaker 3: putting him in the bath, trying to cool down his
- 58:05Speaker 3: body all throughout the night, like waking him up. And
- 58:09Speaker 3: so he was so incredibly sick. And Spencer's like, put
- 58:11Speaker 3: on the news. I'm like, I can't, he's so lethargic
- 58:14Speaker 3: and so sick. The only thing he can do is
- 58:16Speaker 3: even like sit here and watch TV and drink water.
- 58:20Speaker 3: Like I'm concerned about my son going to hospital, you know?
- 58:22Speaker 3: So there was like so much going on. And then,
- 58:26Speaker 3: you know, Spencer's like, it's fine.
- 58:27Speaker 4: It's fine.
- 58:28Speaker 3: The You know, I brought two pairs of jeans because
- 58:32Speaker 3: I was like, I'm coming back. Like, what am I?
- 58:34Speaker 3: And how do you even choose? Like, you're so overwhelmed with.
- 58:37Speaker 3: But yeah, it's a lot.
- 58:40Speaker 2: I know your two-year-old, you know, is young, but your seven-year-old,
- 58:45Speaker 2: it was a really cute scene when you gave him
- 58:48Speaker 2: that you had kept his little cute little tooth thing
- 58:51Speaker 2: from the tooth fairy. But how has he, does he
- 58:55Speaker 2: understand or what do you tell a seven-year-old who's never
- 58:58Speaker 2: going to go back to his school or anything or
- 59:01Speaker 2: to his grandparents' house. What has that been as a mom?
- 59:06Speaker 3: You know, I'm actually gonna, uh, and I'm writing a
- 59:09Speaker 3: children's book on this to like help kids through trauma
- 59:15Speaker 3: and like how to emotionally deal with it and your,
- 59:17Speaker 3: and your parents and stuff like that. And my mom's
- 59:20Speaker 3: a psychologist and I have another writer helping me. Cause
- 59:23Speaker 3: I'm like, there's no books for this, but you know what?
- 59:25Speaker 3: I just I told him, you know, there's a fire
- 59:29Speaker 3: and he understands and he's old enough to understand. And,
- 59:33Speaker 3: you know, he saw the smoke. So he he did know.
- 59:35Speaker 3: And we had to just be like, you know, I'm
- 59:37Speaker 3: I'm so sorry, but the house didn't make it. And,
- 59:41Speaker 3: you know, and then we just one thing at a time,
- 59:44Speaker 3: you know, not like, OK, there's a fire that your
- 59:46Speaker 3: school's gone, your house is gone.
- 59:47Speaker 4: It's like, OK.
- 59:48Speaker 3: And then a few hours later, it's like, buddy, I'm
- 59:50Speaker 3: so sorry, but also this. you know, part of your
- 59:54Speaker 3: school was, you know, taken by the fire and we're
- 59:57Speaker 3: not going to be able to go back there, but
- 59:58Speaker 3: we're going to have a new school and letting him
- 1:00:01Speaker 3: like mourn himself and have those feelings, but also like
- 1:00:06Speaker 3: trying to give him hope and a good insight. And
- 1:00:10Speaker 3: I've seen him cry a few times and I've really
- 1:00:12Speaker 3: tried to validate that, you know, and like let him
- 1:00:16Speaker 3: cry and have those emotions and tell him like, it's
- 1:00:18Speaker 3: okay to be sad and this is really hard and
- 1:00:21Speaker 3: you are going through a lot. So I want to
- 1:00:24Speaker 3: confirm his feelings, let him have it, and then also
- 1:00:28Speaker 3: be like, and what's good? And what would make you
- 1:00:32Speaker 3: feel better? And what would you do? The next day,
- 1:00:34Speaker 3: I took him to Target. I'm like, he's obsessed with
- 1:00:36Speaker 3: his toys. I'm going to take him and have him
- 1:00:39Speaker 3: feel like he has toys and not even just lose everything.
- 1:00:42Speaker 3: So I'm like, all right, let's go.
- 1:00:44Speaker 2: Let's go get you new toys.
- 1:00:46Speaker 3: And I try really hard to not constantly cry around him.
- 1:00:51Speaker 3: And sometimes... I'm like, it's okay for him to see
- 1:00:53Speaker 3: me cry.
- 1:00:54Speaker 4: I don't want to.
- 1:00:55Speaker 3: Be completely distraught around him. So I'm trying to balance
- 1:00:59Speaker 3: that as well. Because my priority is my kids, my son,
- 1:01:03Speaker 3: getting him in school, making sure Spencer's drinking water and sleeping.
- 1:01:08Speaker 3: So I'm really focused on the house and our family
- 1:01:14Speaker 3: and making sure everyone's okay.
- 1:01:17Speaker 2: Well, I think you guys are just... like giving a
- 1:01:23Speaker 2: lot of people hope and we love you as, you know,
- 1:01:28Speaker 2: friends and entertainers. And as a family, you guys have
- 1:01:31Speaker 2: a beautiful family and a beautiful marriage. And I think
- 1:01:35Speaker 2: people really love seeing how you have had each other's
- 1:01:39Speaker 2: back and, and your community's back and how people are,
- 1:01:43Speaker 2: you know, rallying around and your music is really fun
- 1:01:46Speaker 2: and you're really, you're really gorgeous and a truly sweet
- 1:01:50Speaker 2: person and, And a great mom and wife. And, you know,
- 1:01:54Speaker 2: I'm here. And I hope that we can, you know,
- 1:01:59Speaker 2: do something fun and go out to dinner or whatever.
- 1:02:01Speaker 2: Or I can weasel my way into Dancing with the
- 1:02:04Speaker 2: Stars and watch the boys while you dance.
- 1:02:06Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 1:02:07Speaker 2: But I know there's going to be good stuff. And,
- 1:02:10Speaker 2: you know, your mother-in-law is such a wonderful, juicy scooper.
- 1:02:14Speaker 2: And she DMs me all the time, Spencer's mom. And Um,
- 1:02:19Speaker 2: I'm just so, you know, I'm just so sorry for
- 1:02:22Speaker 2: them as well, but you know, you guys are an
- 1:02:24Speaker 2: awesome family and everyone's rooting for you. And I, I
- 1:02:29Speaker 2: thank you so much for taking the time. I know
- 1:02:31Speaker 2: you had to get your son and you guys are just,
- 1:02:34Speaker 2: you know, still running on probably no sleep. So thank
- 1:02:36Speaker 2: you for taking the time to do Juicy Scoop. And I,
- 1:02:38Speaker 2: we all love you. The Juicy Scoopers are doing everything
- 1:02:41Speaker 2: they can to pray and do everything they can.
- 1:02:43Speaker 3: So thank you. Thank you for your support and, all the,
- 1:02:47Speaker 3: all the content and everything really helps. So we appreciate that. And,
- 1:02:50Speaker 3: you know, we definitely want to build back our community,
- 1:02:52Speaker 3: all of our friends, like Spencer's mentioned, have lost everything.
- 1:02:55Speaker 3: So it's really a community that we want to help
- 1:02:59Speaker 3: get back. And we're trying to reach out to charities
- 1:03:01Speaker 3: and our friends too. And we're like, all right, how
- 1:03:03Speaker 3: do we rebuild our lives and everything else? So we
- 1:03:07Speaker 3: definitely will be looking at that. But meanwhile, thank you
- 1:03:10Speaker 3: for streaming superficial and supporting us and, You know, we're,
- 1:03:15Speaker 3: we're really blessed to be alive. We're really, I'm glad
- 1:03:18Speaker 3: Spencer got out of there. He stayed too late. I
- 1:03:20Speaker 3: thought that was dark for a moment and I had to,
- 1:03:23Speaker 3: that was crazy. So yeah, I'm, I'm so thankful. You know,
- 1:03:28Speaker 3: I just have to like stop sometimes. I'm like, okay,
- 1:03:31Speaker 3: feel the sun, take some deep breaths, have some water,
- 1:03:34Speaker 3: like be in the moment right here. Just like forget
- 1:03:38Speaker 3: the past, forget the future. Just like breathe, calm down,
- 1:03:41Speaker 3: you know, like Just the little things we got to
- 1:03:45Speaker 3: focus on too. But anyways, thank you. Thank you for
- 1:03:47Speaker 3: your time. And yeah, dinner. We'd love that if you're
- 1:03:51Speaker 3: in Santa Barbara.
- 1:03:52Speaker 2: Yes, I will come.
- 1:03:53Speaker 3: Dancing with the stars, whatever comes. All right.
- 1:03:56Speaker 2: Love you so much. Love to Spencer and the boys.
- 1:03:57Speaker 3: Bye. All right.
- 1:03:58Speaker 4: Thank you.
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: Bye.
- 1:04:00Speaker 2: The car is beautiful. Where did you end up going
- 1:04:03Speaker 2: for it?
- 1:04:03Speaker 4: This exclusive place that Dad has connections with.
- 1:04:06Speaker 2: They have more cars for more dealerships than like anywhere else.
- 1:04:09Speaker 2: You have to put me in touch.
- 1:04:10Speaker 4: What's it called?
- 1:04:11Speaker 2: It's Dune ADL.
- 1:04:13Speaker 4: Where?
- 1:04:15Speaker 2: Dunaidial. There's an accent on the E. Do you mean... Yes,
- 1:04:19Speaker 2: I got it on Dundale Cars.
- 1:04:21Speaker 5: Lift?
- 1:04:22Speaker 2: Please. Are you going past Kimmage? Oh, Kimmage.
- 1:04:25Speaker 5: No.
- 1:04:26Speaker 2: Dundale Cars.
- 1:04:27Speaker 6: You couldn't possibly go anywhere else.
