- 0:01Speaker 1: Live on Sky News. This is Sharry.
- 0:07Speaker 2: Good evening, and welcome to this important show on the
- 0:10Speaker 2: second anniversary of the October seven terror attacks. Tonight, I'll
- 0:14Speaker 2: show you new chilling footage unearthed from the Opera House
- 0:18Speaker 2: rally two years ago. Protesters explicitly defend mus and utter
- 0:23Speaker 2: chance to kill all Jews. This is the organizers now
- 0:27Speaker 2: want to hold yet another heartless rally on Sunday. That
- 0:32Speaker 2: exclusive unseen vision in a moment, Also tonight, I sit
- 0:36Speaker 2: down with Ellie Sharabi, who speaks about surviving nearly five
- 0:41Speaker 2: hundred days as a hostage, extreme starvation, worm infested tunnels,
- 0:47Speaker 2: and the tragic moment he found out his wife and
- 0:51Speaker 2: daughters had been murdered. His moving interview shortly Also on
- 0:56Speaker 2: the show, Ray Hadley and Mihalia.
- 0:58Speaker 3: Cash will be here.
- 1:00Speaker 2: Ask them if Andrew Hasty should be the next Liberal leader,
- 1:04Speaker 2: plus the government's cover up on Isis Brides, and I'm
- 1:07Speaker 2: going to ask Ray if the rumors of his radio
- 1:10Speaker 2: comeback are true. But first tonight, chilling new footage from
- 1:16Speaker 2: that notorious rally on the Opera House steps shows protesters
- 1:20Speaker 2: chanting Alu Akba and declaring support for her. Muss saying
- 1:25Speaker 2: the terrorists have a right to fight. This extraordinary new
- 1:29Speaker 2: vision comes as the Palestine Action Group wants to yet
- 1:33Speaker 2: again stage of protest at the Opera House this weekend
- 1:38Speaker 2: with the case being heard in court tomorrow. I've also
- 1:42Speaker 2: obtained footage of the speech made by Asala Sahara, who
- 1:46Speaker 2: was with the Palestine Action Group at the time and
- 1:49Speaker 2: she helped organize that Opera House rally. She said in
- 1:53Speaker 2: her speech that her MUSS has the right to resist.
- 1:57Speaker 2: These comments just two days after one thousand, two hundred
- 2:03Speaker 2: innocent babies, children, parents, and the elderly were gunned down
- 2:08Speaker 2: in cold blood.
- 2:10Speaker 4: So to anyone who comes out with an argument that
- 2:13Speaker 4: says her mask is a terrorist organization, let me tell
- 2:19Speaker 4: you that can internationally recognize that we Palestinians, as her masked,
- 2:25Speaker 4: have the right to resist.
- 2:29Speaker 2: She also defended her MUSS as fighting against colonialists, and
- 2:46Speaker 2: she urged the crowd to use the word Sahayani, meaning Zionist,
- 2:53Speaker 2: and not the word Yahood, which means jew. The current
- 3:03Speaker 2: Palatine Action Group organizer Josh Lees also said he supports
- 3:07Speaker 2: Palestinians when they fight back now again. These comments were
- 3:12Speaker 2: just forty eight hours after the worst massacre of Jews
- 3:17Speaker 2: since the Holocaust. But it wasn't only the speakers. The
- 3:35Speaker 2: hatred among many in the crowd towards Jews was truly terrifying.
- 3:40Speaker 2: This was anti Semitism unleashed. Have a look at the
- 3:45Speaker 2: clearest footage yet never broadcast before, and in another clip
- 4:18Speaker 2: previously reported so this next one is previously reported by
- 4:22Speaker 2: criche a protester yells We're going to kill them all
- 4:27Speaker 2: here it is these chants of hatred cannot be defended
- 4:36Speaker 2: in the name of free expression. This is blatant anti
- 4:40Speaker 2: Semitism that's dangerous in our society. It also makes the
- 4:45Speaker 2: city inaccessible for Jews and jeopardizes public security. It's an
- 4:50Speaker 2: issue of both physical and mental safety. And it would
- 4:54Speaker 2: be simply outrageous and appalling if sensible and rational and
- 5:00Speaker 2: educated Court of Appeal judges tomorrow allow a repeat of
- 5:05Speaker 2: this despicable and vile spectacle at.
- 5:07Speaker 3: Our national icon.
- 5:09Speaker 2: Now a reminder, this hatred of Jews at the Opera
- 5:12Speaker 2: House was on October the ninth. Two days earlier, on
- 5:17Speaker 2: October seven, hundreds of Palestinian terrorists invaded Israel on motorbike,
- 5:24Speaker 2: on foot, and on Paraglidis. It was six twenty nine am,
- 5:30Speaker 2: two years ago today when they breached the border of Israel.
- 5:34Speaker 2: The terrorists stormed Israeli communities, going from house to house
- 5:40Speaker 2: to house, shooting every living person and then setting it
- 5:45Speaker 2: all alight. They stormed the Nova Music Festival, where three
- 5:50Speaker 2: hundred and seventy eight young bright boys and girls were
- 5:55Speaker 2: hunted down and killed. In total, one thy two hundred
- 6:01Speaker 2: Israelis was slaughtered in a matter of hours by Hermas.
- 6:06Speaker 2: The terrorists celebrate it, some ringing their families in Gaza
- 6:11Speaker 2: to say just how many Jews they had killed, and
- 6:14Speaker 2: a warning this is disturbing. Ye, well your word, don't you, George.
- 6:33Speaker 2: There are too many haunting stories to recount, but I
- 6:38Speaker 2: often think about little Abigail, just three years old. She
- 6:43Speaker 2: was grabbed by terrorists and taken into Gaza alone without
- 6:48Speaker 2: her parents.
- 6:49Speaker 3: A three year old a hostage for fifty days.
- 6:54Speaker 2: Imagine a three year old being separated from her family,
- 6:58Speaker 2: from her home, from every comfort, and taken into captivity
- 7:02Speaker 2: by cruel terrorists who wouldn't even let her cry or
- 7:06Speaker 2: speak a word. When she was eventually released under a
- 7:10Speaker 2: hostage deal, she came back to Israel to find out
- 7:15Speaker 2: that her parents had been murdered.
- 7:17Speaker 3: She was an orphan.
- 7:20Speaker 2: Her aunt spoke to me about the anguish of campaigning
- 7:24Speaker 2: to free Abigail.
- 7:26Speaker 5: After her father was murdered and she crawled out from
- 7:29Speaker 5: his body covered in his blood, she went to a
- 7:31Speaker 5: neighbor and miraculously he was opening the door to go
- 7:35Speaker 5: out and protect the kibbutz, and there was little Abigail,
- 7:37Speaker 5: and he put her with his wife and three kids,
- 7:39Speaker 5: and they knew each other. Abigail knew this family, and
- 7:42Speaker 5: when they were taken off by Hamas terrorists, Abigail was
- 7:45Speaker 5: with her. And I prayed that during the whole fifty
- 7:48Speaker 5: one days that she was with this woman Hugguard Broditche
- 7:51Speaker 5: and she.
- 7:52Speaker 3: Was baby Kafir.
- 7:55Speaker 2: His brother Ariel and their mother, Shiri Bibas were also
- 8:00Speaker 2: abducted by terrorists. We would learn much later that they
- 8:05Speaker 2: never stood a chance. Those beautiful little boys nine months
- 8:10Speaker 2: old and four years old were murdered in Gaza by
- 8:16Speaker 2: bare hands, their bodies in coffins later paraded by her
- 8:20Speaker 2: mus on stage in a sickening display before cheering crowds.
- 8:27Speaker 3: These murders, these.
- 8:29Speaker 2: Kidnappings, are the atrocities that were unfolding when the heartless
- 8:34Speaker 2: opera house protests took place where her.
- 8:36Speaker 3: Muss was lauded and the mob chanted where's the Jews
- 8:42Speaker 3: and kill the Jews.
- 8:44Speaker 2: Just forty eight hours earlier, terrorists had hunted for Jews
- 8:48Speaker 2: in Israel. And here's what isn't understood enough in Australia
- 8:53Speaker 2: is that this isn't about Israel, It's about Jews. Henry
- 8:58Speaker 2: iergas real columnist. He writes in The Australian Today that
- 9:02Speaker 2: the Manchester terrorist Jihad Alshami didn't have the IDF in
- 9:08Speaker 2: his sights when he rammed a car into a synagogue.
- 9:12Speaker 2: Henry writes, No, that layer of hypocrisy had been stripped away.
- 9:16Speaker 3: What he wanted was to murder Jews.
- 9:20Speaker 2: And we're facing the same threat here in Australia where
- 9:25Speaker 2: synagogues have been firebombed and targeted. There's no attempt to
- 9:29Speaker 2: even hide this, with protesters chanting about Jews and Zionists
- 9:34Speaker 2: and into fada. So almost from the day of the
- 10:07Speaker 2: Hamas attacks, it exposed a latent, underlying problem in our
- 10:12Speaker 2: community where thousands of Australians or people living in Australia
- 10:17Speaker 2: clearly didn't share our common Judea Christian values that center
- 10:22Speaker 2: on a peaceful existence. Now, Australia has been fighting wars
- 10:26Speaker 2: in the Middle East alongside our allies since after the
- 10:30Speaker 2: nine to eleven attacks, including against Isis in Iraq and Syria. Now,
- 10:36Speaker 2: since that time, and perhaps partly driven by migration, there's
- 10:41Speaker 2: a new, deep seated hatred of the Jewish community and Israel.
- 10:47Speaker 2: This has spread to universities and other institutions, where it's
- 10:51Speaker 2: become popularized as the latest modern trend in protest.
- 10:55Speaker 3: Now on the.
- 10:56Speaker 2: Surface, it's against Israel. Scratch at it wafer thin, and
- 11:02Speaker 2: there's a clear and disgusting exhibition of hatred against the
- 11:06Speaker 2: Jewish community. This new opera house footage confirms it. The
- 11:12Speaker 2: chance by protesters about hunting for Jews and killing Jews.
- 11:29Speaker 2: The absence of clear cut, decisive leadership from October eight
- 11:34Speaker 2: onwards allowed the darkest parts of the community, the most UnAustralian.
- 11:40Speaker 3: Parts, to rise to the surface.
- 11:43Speaker 2: And this anti Jewish sentiment has been bubbling along most
- 11:47Speaker 2: weekends at protests in the heart of our capital cities
- 11:51Speaker 2: ever since. It's a runaway train of hatred. It's been
- 11:56Speaker 2: allowed to get out of control by leaders who should
- 12:00Speaker 2: know better, these leaders might give eloquent speeches in Parliament,
- 12:06Speaker 2: as we heard from the Prime Minister today where he
- 12:09Speaker 2: said all the right things about October seven is.
- 12:14Speaker 6: Showing governments stand with Jewish people around the world who
- 12:17Speaker 6: feel the cold shadow of history's darkest chapter in any
- 12:21Speaker 6: act of any Semitism. We will always stand against any Semitism,
- 12:26Speaker 6: as should everyone.
- 12:28Speaker 2: But in reality, the nice words of our national leaders
- 12:32Speaker 2: today have been rendered meaningless by their actions. I know
- 12:38Speaker 2: not everyone wants to hear this, but on the anniversary
- 12:41Speaker 2: of October seven, I am going to speak more openly
- 12:44Speaker 2: and frankly about the lived experience of life since then.
- 12:49Speaker 2: I can't overstate the shock of the past two years
- 12:53Speaker 2: to the Jewish community. From the moment we saw that
- 12:57Speaker 2: unadulterated hatred on the Upper House steps until now we
- 13:02Speaker 2: felt dismay and hurt. Everything we knew. The safety and
- 13:08Speaker 2: security of life. Acceptance among our fellow citizens has been
- 13:13Speaker 2: ripped away, replaced by fear, anguish and despair. We've been ostracized, isolated,
- 13:22Speaker 2: and shockingly betrayed by those at the very top who
- 13:26Speaker 2: are supposed to act as guardians of society, protecting civility
- 13:32Speaker 2: and upholding the law. It's a massive betrayal when our
- 13:37Speaker 2: political leaders allowed this hatred for Jews to become the
- 13:41Speaker 2: norm because of votes, politics, and a stunning lack of courage,
- 13:48Speaker 2: all unacceptable excuses. There's nothing that justifies what we've been
- 13:53Speaker 2: dealing with, what we've been living with, and even worse,
- 13:57Speaker 2: politicians effectively encouraged it by falsely demonizing Israel instead of
- 14:03Speaker 2: being clear eyed about why Israel remained at war because
- 14:08Speaker 2: hostages were in Gaza and the terrorists had not been
- 14:12Speaker 2: defeated and were vowing to repeat the atrocities over and
- 14:15Speaker 2: over again. Our leaders didn't explain this to the public. Instead,
- 14:21Speaker 2: they deliberately vilified Israel, falsely painting it as an immoral
- 14:27Speaker 2: aggressor that targeted civilians and was effectively committing war crimes.
- 14:34Speaker 2: It's a distorted understanding of events in the Middle East
- 14:38Speaker 2: and these lines trick the public into thinking wrong is right.
- 14:42Speaker 2: It's a modern day propaganda campaign prosecuted on social media,
- 14:47Speaker 2: spreading hate and misinformation. These lies only then exacerbated the
- 14:54Speaker 2: racism and hostility toward the Jewish.
- 14:57Speaker 3: Community in Australia. Too few.
- 15:02Speaker 2: In public life have found the courage to call out
- 15:06Speaker 2: this hatred. It's not freedom of expression in the name
- 15:11Speaker 2: of multiculturalism, it's pure hatred against fellow Australians. And if
- 15:18Speaker 2: you question this, then why do the pro Palestinians want
- 15:22Speaker 2: a rally this Sunday? The Arab nations have broadly endorsed
- 15:27Speaker 2: Trump's peace plan, Israel has suspended military operations, and even
- 15:32Speaker 2: her Mus has agreed to it in principle. So why
- 15:36Speaker 2: are their protests The inescapable answer is that they're designed
- 15:41Speaker 2: to intimidate the Jewish community on the week of the
- 15:45Speaker 2: second anniversary of October seven. Now, again, this was what
- 15:51Speaker 2: was chanted two years ago. Over the past two years,
- 16:21Speaker 2: my voice has worn thin, appealing for stronger and better leadership,
- 16:26Speaker 2: and so absent was the leadership that we convened our
- 16:30Speaker 2: Anti Semitism summit in February. Nine of the recommendations were
- 16:35Speaker 2: subsequently adopted by Jillian Siegel in her report to government,
- 16:40Speaker 2: and yet still no action. Why is it so controversial
- 16:47Speaker 2: to stop racism against us? This should be the least
- 16:50Speaker 2: contentious action imaginable. The longer this goes on, the more
- 16:56Speaker 2: it becomes apparent that it's radical extremists to Islamist hatred
- 17:01Speaker 2: allowed to play out on our streets and then supported
- 17:05Speaker 2: by a small idiotic band of leftist and professional protesters.
- 17:11Speaker 2: But what does also become apparent is that the majority,
- 17:15Speaker 2: the vast majority of the quiet Australians are fundamentally disgusted
- 17:20Speaker 2: by this aggression and hostility. And also it's clear that
- 17:26Speaker 2: the Jewish community has tapped into an ancient dna of
- 17:30Speaker 2: resilience and strength drawn from intrinsic values of empathy, kindness,
- 17:37Speaker 2: inclusion and tolerance. These are underlying values that Australia treasures,
- 17:44Speaker 2: and I pray that a year from now, on the
- 17:46Speaker 2: third anniversary of October seventh, the war will be over
- 17:52Speaker 2: and we won't be dealing with this same strain of
- 17:54Speaker 2: vile intolerance in our country. That those in a position
- 17:58Speaker 2: of authority would have found their voice to say enough
- 18:03Speaker 2: is enough, and to enforce the law and to ensure
- 18:07Speaker 2: that peace returns to our streets so we can stop
- 18:11Speaker 2: living in fear protected only by armed security. When Elie
- 18:21Speaker 2: Sharabi was released from Harmas captivity after four hundred and
- 18:25Speaker 2: ninety one days as a hostage, he looked like a
- 18:28Speaker 2: skeletal Holocaust survivor.
- 18:31Speaker 3: He was emaciated.
- 18:32Speaker 2: He'd experienced unimaginable cruelty at the hands of terrorists in
- 18:37Speaker 2: the tunnels of Gaza. Ellie had told the BBC on
- 18:41Speaker 2: his release that he was very happy to be coming
- 18:44Speaker 2: home to his wife and two teenage daughters.
- 18:49Speaker 3: He was unaware they'd been murdered. On October seven.
- 18:53Speaker 2: I spoke to Ellie during his J and F sponsored
- 18:56Speaker 2: visit to Australia recently, and here's our interview. Ellie, thank
- 19:01Speaker 2: you so much for joining us and for sharing your
- 19:04Speaker 2: story in such a courageous way. Five terrorists broke into
- 19:08Speaker 2: your home and then another five came in as well,
- 19:11Speaker 2: plus a commander.
- 19:13Speaker 1: Yes, yes, and they, you know, start to break things
- 19:19Speaker 1: at our house. We heard them from the safe room.
- 19:23Speaker 1: They arrived to the to the door, open it and
- 19:28Speaker 1: our dog barked and they got stressed and started to shoot.
- 19:34Speaker 1: In the safe room. Leanne was jumping on Noya and
- 19:38Speaker 1: I was jumping on your head try to protect them.
- 19:42Speaker 1: After ten seconds we show We shouted them to stop
- 19:45Speaker 1: and they stopped. Collect our phones. Everybody weren't shocked. Two
- 19:54Speaker 1: of them grabbed me and two or three terrorists took
- 19:58Speaker 1: Earlean Noya and the hell to the kitchen and immediately
- 20:03Speaker 1: when they when they grabbed us. We've told them that
- 20:07Speaker 1: Leannoy and the hell have a British passport. They understood that,
- 20:11Speaker 1: and until the day I was released, I was sure
- 20:14Speaker 1: they're okay.
- 20:18Speaker 3: Ellie.
- 20:18Speaker 2: You write in your book how you knew you were
- 20:20Speaker 2: going to be kidnapped immediately, but because of the way
- 20:25Speaker 2: her mask treated Leanne, you know, letting her get dressed,
- 20:29Speaker 2: you believed that your family had been saved.
- 20:34Speaker 1: Yes, it was all calm in the house. We've done
- 20:39Speaker 1: everything they told us, so I was sure they will
- 20:44Speaker 1: you know, there will be okay, the terrorists will leave them.
- 20:50Speaker 1: And unfortunately, five minutes after I've been kidnapped from the house,
- 20:56Speaker 1: they've been slaughtered.
- 20:59Speaker 2: That's what you know now that they were killed five
- 21:01Speaker 2: minutes afterwards.
- 21:03Speaker 1: I understood it was in the hall of the house,
- 21:07Speaker 1: but I'm not sure. I haven't. I didn't agree to
- 21:11Speaker 1: see some photos from the house of their bodies, so
- 21:16Speaker 1: it's not something I want to do.
- 21:18Speaker 2: No, No, completely understandable. And of course you didn't know
- 21:21Speaker 2: that at the time, and so from that moment on
- 21:25Speaker 2: the moment you were kidnapped, you became Ellie the survivor.
- 21:31Speaker 1: Yes, you know, the minute I was pushed in the car.
- 21:36Speaker 1: I've been you know, I said to myself, now it's
- 21:38Speaker 1: a surviving mode and I don't care what's going to
- 21:43Speaker 1: happen to me. But I'll come back to my daughters
- 21:47Speaker 1: with legs, no legs, hands no hands. I didn't care.
- 21:50Speaker 1: I didn't care if they beat me. I didn't care
- 21:52Speaker 1: what they're going to do to me. I'm going to
- 21:55Speaker 1: come back to Leannoy.
- 21:58Speaker 2: And hell, chist didn't know that you could speak Arabic.
- 22:02Speaker 2: What were they saying when they kidnapped you? Were they celebrating?
- 22:07Speaker 1: Yes, they were celebrating all the time. First of all,
- 22:12Speaker 1: the minitry grabbed me from out of the house. I've
- 22:14Speaker 1: seen one hundred and fifty terrorists in our neighborhood getting
- 22:18Speaker 1: in and out from every house in the neighborhood, filming themselves, celebrating, laughing,
- 22:27Speaker 1: riding bikes of children. And they stole our cars from
- 22:34Speaker 1: the kibbutz, and one of these cars been used to
- 22:39Speaker 1: kidnap me towards Gaza.
- 22:42Speaker 2: Ellie, when you arrived in Gaza, you were dragged into
- 22:46Speaker 2: this rage filled mob of Palestinian civilians.
- 22:50Speaker 3: Did you believe you could have been killed? Then?
- 22:54Speaker 1: Yes, it was horrible moment for me. In the minute
- 22:57Speaker 1: they gone out from the car, the terrorist, a mob
- 23:02Speaker 1: of civilians pulled me out and started to lynch me
- 23:06Speaker 1: with their bare hands, kids with their shoes all over me,
- 23:12Speaker 1: start to hit me, and I will show it's the end. Fortunately,
- 23:17Speaker 1: two Fromas terrorists succeed to take me out of them
- 23:23Speaker 1: and got me into the mosque, undressed me there and
- 23:29Speaker 1: started to speak with me, and they were in shock.
- 23:32Speaker 1: I know Arabic, and I started to answer them everything
- 23:37Speaker 1: and they were in shock. They will show them from
- 23:39Speaker 1: m I five and from Mozad and all these things.
- 23:43Speaker 1: And I was I'm from the army, and I said
- 23:45Speaker 1: to them, I'm fifty one years old. I'm not in
- 23:48Speaker 1: the army. I'm civilian.
- 23:49Speaker 2: So Ellie, you spent most of your time in two
- 23:52Speaker 2: different tunnels, and the most horrific conditions were in the
- 23:56Speaker 2: second tunnel, where there was no running water, no shower,
- 23:59Speaker 2: no toilet, and it just ended up.
- 24:01Speaker 3: Being infested with worms. It was just so unhygienic.
- 24:06Speaker 2: Can you tell us about how bad those conditions were
- 24:09Speaker 2: to live in?
- 24:11Speaker 1: It was awful. No running water in the beginning, no gas,
- 24:17Speaker 1: no no phone, no food. The agenic was terrible. We
- 24:26Speaker 1: got half of cold half bucket of cold water every
- 24:33Speaker 1: four weeks, six weeks. It depends, of course, almost no
- 24:38Speaker 1: soap to have a shower. And the worms was there.
- 24:43Speaker 2: There just was horrible, terrible, And tell us about the
- 24:48Speaker 2: hunger and starvation that you experienced during your time in
- 24:53Speaker 2: the tunnels.
- 24:56Speaker 1: Well, there was loads of things that bothered that, and
- 25:00Speaker 1: it was awful. We were chained four hundred and einety
- 25:05Speaker 1: one days. I was changing my hands in my legs.
- 25:08Speaker 1: This chain, this iron chain tore our flash. Sometimes we
- 25:13Speaker 1: were chained to each other and we needed to go
- 25:17Speaker 1: to the bathroom together. And it was very humiliating, and
- 25:21Speaker 1: they humilitated, humiliated us daily basis, and sometimes it was violence.
- 25:27Speaker 1: They broke my ribs once. But the worst thing was
- 25:33Speaker 1: the starvation. It's to be hungry. It's something really, really,
- 25:39Speaker 1: really bad. For six months, we ate one meal a day.
- 25:45Speaker 1: When I say one milli, it's one and a half
- 25:47Speaker 1: bit of bread and sometimes a bowl of pasta or
- 25:52Speaker 1: a bowl of rice for twenty four hours, something more
- 25:56Speaker 1: than twenty four sometimes more than twenty four hours. And
- 26:02Speaker 1: and you just wish and and imagine and dreaming about
- 26:07Speaker 1: food all the time, and you begging for food from them.
- 26:12Speaker 1: But after three weeks that we've seen that our bodies
- 26:17Speaker 1: in a bad condition. After three weeks we ate just
- 26:21Speaker 1: one meal. I decided to shock them a little bit
- 26:26Speaker 1: and to hope that they will give us more food.
- 26:31Speaker 1: And so I took a razor and cut my eyebrow
- 26:36Speaker 1: and the blood was all over my face. And when
- 26:41Speaker 1: I went to the bathroom, I pretend that I am
- 26:45Speaker 1: I fainted, and they actually were in shock, and they
- 26:49Speaker 1: gave us immediately dates to give us more energy. And
- 26:55Speaker 1: for a week after that they gave us another half
- 27:00Speaker 1: a bit of bread each day to each one of us.
- 27:04Speaker 1: And it was amazing, and it was like a small
- 27:08Speaker 1: victory we made in this captivity.
- 27:12Speaker 2: But it only lasted a week, yes.
- 27:15Speaker 1: Only lasted a week, yes.
- 27:17Speaker 2: And then they started starving you again. And all the while,
- 27:20Speaker 2: the Hamas terrorists would spend the day just in the kitchen,
- 27:24Speaker 2: eating and chatting.
- 27:26Speaker 1: Yes, cooking all day, all their food, using all the
- 27:31Speaker 1: boxes from humanitarian aid. And we got nothing from this food, nothing,
- 27:39Speaker 1: and they ate four or five times a day. We
- 27:42Speaker 1: knew each each day that we are not going to
- 27:44Speaker 1: be released. It's jeopardize our our life, and I'm happy
- 27:53Speaker 1: that I'm released, that I was released on February eight,
- 27:57Speaker 1: twenty twenty five. When I got into when I got
- 28:01Speaker 1: into Gaza, I was seventy kilos. When I was released,
- 28:05Speaker 1: I was forty four kilos.
- 28:08Speaker 2: Oh wow, and elioso the cruelty. When you returned to
- 28:13Speaker 2: the first tunnel, there was a point where they made
- 28:15Speaker 2: you beg for food and they said they'd only give
- 28:17Speaker 2: it to you if you recited passages from the Quran.
- 28:22Speaker 3: But you wouldn't do that.
- 28:24Speaker 1: Yes, they tried to bribe us with food that we
- 28:27Speaker 1: can say some sentences from the Quran. And they wanted
- 28:30Speaker 1: us to be Muslims, and they said it's the best
- 28:35Speaker 1: way to live, and all the war, should you know,
- 28:39Speaker 1: all the watch should be Islam. And after they finished
- 28:43Speaker 1: with Israel, they will go to France and the United
- 28:47Speaker 1: Kingdom and the United States and all the world will
- 28:50Speaker 1: be Muslims. That's their vision. And if, of course we
- 28:55Speaker 1: refused to say these sentences for us to stay Jewish
- 29:00Speaker 1: and israelis was again something we told them, like like
- 29:05Speaker 1: we are telling them, we're not going.
- 29:07Speaker 7: To do that.
- 29:08Speaker 3: Elliott.
- 29:09Speaker 2: Points of time, when you in the tunnels, you said
- 29:12Speaker 2: you saw the Hamas terrorists watching footage of October seven
- 29:17Speaker 2: over and over again on their iPad.
- 29:21Speaker 1: Yes, they had had a laptop and they used to
- 29:24Speaker 1: watch lots of movies there of October seven. We could
- 29:28Speaker 1: hear it from the when we were very close to
- 29:31Speaker 1: their what they see, and we could understand it for
- 29:34Speaker 1: it could We could understand that it's from October seven,
- 29:38Speaker 1: and that was it was very very difficult moment for
- 29:44Speaker 1: us not to pay attention to that, and we were
- 29:48Speaker 1: knew that they are doing this for, you know, to
- 29:54Speaker 1: to terrorized us and psychological two. Yes, that we can
- 30:01Speaker 1: be frustrated about nobody's coming for us and all this.
- 30:06Speaker 2: Ellie, when you were eventually released, it involved stage managed
- 30:10Speaker 2: propaganda from Harmas stomach churning propaganda. We all saw it,
- 30:15Speaker 2: and you describe it in your book as well. How
- 30:17Speaker 2: there were Palestinian families. It was like a fun day
- 30:21Speaker 2: out and you were staggered by the numbers in the
- 30:24Speaker 2: crowd who were there watching you on stage.
- 30:27Speaker 1: There have been thousands there everywhere around the stage. We
- 30:33Speaker 1: actually really really frightening the if it's well got you
- 30:38Speaker 1: out of control. Hermasteroist promised us that they will protect
- 30:43Speaker 1: us and it will be okay. But it's still you know,
- 30:48Speaker 1: you you don't you know, you don't believe it will
- 30:53Speaker 1: be that calm. They were shouting, they were they've been
- 31:00Speaker 1: of course, allah walk about all the time. You're afraid
- 31:04Speaker 1: from the crowd. You just want to finish this last humiliation.
- 31:09Speaker 1: I was really really expected seeing Leanne and your hair
- 31:14Speaker 1: running towards me. And this is the moment I was
- 31:18Speaker 1: dreaming for four hundred and einety one days, and I
- 31:22Speaker 1: really just wanted to finish and to be in the
- 31:25Speaker 1: idea of hands again.
- 31:28Speaker 2: And then when the id official told you that it
- 31:31Speaker 2: would be your mother and your big sister Osnat who
- 31:35Speaker 2: would be meeting you, and you understood what that meant.
- 31:40Speaker 1: Yes, I understood that the wors so nowio happened. Unfortunately
- 31:47Speaker 1: I couldn't really, you know, believe that. I didn't want
- 31:50Speaker 1: to believe that, but I always dip deep down and
- 31:56Speaker 1: knew that it's there's the chances for this and nowI
- 32:02Speaker 1: and I was crying a little bit. But after something
- 32:07Speaker 1: like five minutes, I told this social worker from the Idea,
- 32:12Speaker 1: I want to see my mother and my sisters and
- 32:15Speaker 1: my brother, and I knew them they will give me
- 32:19Speaker 1: the strengths I need to deal with this new situation
- 32:24Speaker 1: and to rebuild my life again.
- 32:27Speaker 2: And you didn't really comprehend that they were truly gone
- 32:32Speaker 2: until you went to where they were buried near your
- 32:34Speaker 2: sister's home.
- 32:36Speaker 1: I needed this closure for me to arrive to their graveyard.
- 32:45Speaker 1: And it's like like, first of all, to say sorry
- 32:49Speaker 1: for October seven and and to tell them that I
- 32:55Speaker 1: was I made my promise and I survived this hell
- 33:05Speaker 1: and I came back for them. But unfortunately there they
- 33:12Speaker 1: didn't survive.
- 33:13Speaker 3: You came back to a world without them.
- 33:16Speaker 2: They kept you going, They kept you going for the
- 33:18Speaker 2: four hundred and ninety one days.
- 33:22Speaker 1: Yes, yes, I was sure. I was sure I'm going
- 33:25Speaker 1: to see them again, and that motivating me and that
- 33:30Speaker 1: I was survived for just to see them again, Ellie.
- 33:35Speaker 2: Your life since February, since your release, what's it been like?
- 33:40Speaker 1: Wow? I had just six months, very very busy six months.
- 33:47Speaker 1: Met President Trump and Prime Minister Kastamer and lots of
- 33:56Speaker 1: foreign ministers and parliament men bes in UK, in the
- 34:01Speaker 1: United States, in Australia.
- 34:05Speaker 3: Ellien, why do you do it? What do you want
- 34:07Speaker 3: the world to know?
- 34:09Speaker 1: First of all, we cannot forget October seventh. We better
- 34:14Speaker 1: not forget something like that. I think October seven was
- 34:19Speaker 1: a wake up call for a lot of people of
- 34:24Speaker 1: what is the situation in our area and us Hamas
- 34:31Speaker 1: so all these things, I'm doing this for a purpose,
- 34:35Speaker 1: but most the mainly thing I'm doing this, it's to
- 34:40Speaker 1: bring back the remain forty eight hostages that remained in Gaza,
- 34:48Speaker 1: and I hope we'll gain this this target very soon.
- 34:53Speaker 1: The world leaders, first of all should understand that the
- 34:58Speaker 1: hostages must come back, and after that they walk can stop.
- 35:03Speaker 1: And when I tell them in the meeting that you
- 35:11Speaker 1: can have disagreements with the Israeli policy, no problem, but
- 35:16Speaker 1: you cannot give when you have to have a stronger
- 35:22Speaker 1: voice against anti Semitism. Those days, you know in Australia,
- 35:26Speaker 1: in Britain and the United States, loads of Jewish afraid
- 35:31Speaker 1: to walk on the street again in twenty twenty five.
- 35:36Speaker 1: So it's unimaginable really to understand that and all these
- 35:43Speaker 1: hate crimes against Jews have to stop.
- 35:47Speaker 3: They absolutely do.
- 35:49Speaker 2: Ellie, thank you so much for sharing your story today.
- 35:51Speaker 2: I can only imagine how utterly emotionally exhausted you are.
- 35:56Speaker 2: And I'm really grateful that you gave us this time
- 35:58Speaker 2: because it is sought it for Australia to hear what
- 36:02Speaker 2: you've been through and what you have to say.
- 36:04Speaker 3: Thank you, just thank you.
- 36:06Speaker 1: So much, thank you very much. It was my big Gunner.
- 36:11Speaker 3: Is any incredible?
- 36:12Speaker 2: And Ellie's book Hostage it's out today. It is truly
- 36:17Speaker 2: the most amazing read. I couldn't recommend it highly enough.
- 36:21Speaker 2: I couldn't put it down. I was up all night
- 36:23Speaker 2: reading it before our interview. Order it online. All Right,
- 36:27Speaker 2: still to come Mikaylia Cash on Isis Brides and the
- 36:31Speaker 2: pro Palestinian protests plus Andrew Hasty accused of letting the
- 36:35Speaker 2: team down. Well, Ray Hadley will share his thoughts after
- 36:39Speaker 2: the break. All right, welcome back and let's bring in
- 36:46Speaker 2: now radio legend Ray Hadley. Ray, great to have you
- 36:49Speaker 2: as always, get here, get to the pro Palestinian protest
- 36:53Speaker 2: in a minute. But let's start with this whole Andrew
- 36:56Speaker 2: Hasty Liberal Party saga. He's now on the back bench
- 37:00Speaker 2: their best performers.
- 37:01Speaker 3: What do you think about this?
- 37:02Speaker 2: He was accused today in the party room by an
- 37:04Speaker 2: MP I've never heard of, actually of you know, get
- 37:07Speaker 2: in the queue of you know, not being a team
- 37:11Speaker 2: player effectively.
- 37:13Speaker 7: Well, look and they dragged dragged up a blue between
- 37:16Speaker 7: Peter Dutton and Andrew Hasty in the last election. Now
- 37:20Speaker 7: Peter's a made of mine, but he's like last week's pay.
- 37:22Speaker 7: He's gone, so it doesn't matter what blue he had.
- 37:25Speaker 8: With Andrew Hasty.
- 37:26Speaker 7: Andrew Hasty remarkably resign when his leader said as Home
- 37:31Speaker 7: Affairs shadow, you can't talk about immigration hello, and then
- 37:36Speaker 7: of course there's the same woman who's waiting twelve months
- 37:39Speaker 7: to decide where the net zeros ago in twenty thirty
- 37:42Speaker 7: and twenty thirty five. I mean it's look, I know
- 37:45Speaker 7: people have gone for different reasons. You sit at Arepa
- 37:48Speaker 7: jep of Price Andrew Hasty, but you look at the
- 37:50Speaker 7: people on the back bench, their best talents on the
- 37:53Speaker 7: back bench, with a few notable exceptions, but it is
- 37:57Speaker 7: just remarkable. Then today to Andrew Hasty is sideline. So
- 38:03Speaker 7: there's an argument in the Senate about isis brides. How
- 38:06Speaker 7: many came did you get involved in giving them passports?
- 38:09Speaker 7: The children passports because they were born in Syria. And
- 38:13Speaker 7: Tony Burke is unscathed in the Lower House because no
- 38:15Speaker 7: one from the opposition asked a.
- 38:17Speaker 8: Question about it in question time.
- 38:19Speaker 7: If Hasty had been there in that position, he would
- 38:22Speaker 7: have unloaded on Burke and probably the Prime Minister with
- 38:25Speaker 7: both barrels. We don't know how many brides are here.
- 38:28Speaker 7: We don't know how many children are here. We guess
- 38:30Speaker 7: that there are six brides, and we don't know the
- 38:32Speaker 7: ages of the children. I think, not fathered by the
- 38:35Speaker 7: men they joined in the Middle East, but fathered by.
- 38:39Speaker 8: Other men were We don't know where are they.
- 38:43Speaker 7: Who's looking after them, who's making sure they're not a
- 38:46Speaker 7: threat to the community in which they now reside.
- 38:49Speaker 2: And not to mention the prime ministers, you know, potentially
- 38:54Speaker 2: in my view at least misleading parties.
- 38:56Speaker 7: He said, quite clearly, not potentially, he said, we've had
- 39:00Speaker 7: no involvement. Well, they got the Lebanon, someone gave them
- 39:03Speaker 7: a passport. Someone then produced passports for the children who
- 39:08Speaker 7: weren't born here, they're born in Syria. Now, in normal circumstances,
- 39:11Speaker 7: you go the United States of America, you have a child,
- 39:14Speaker 7: you that regid of the child is being Australian. You
- 39:16Speaker 7: try and get the passport as quickly as they got it.
- 39:18Speaker 8: It won't happen.
- 39:19Speaker 2: Unbelievable and the very first time he was asked about
- 39:22Speaker 2: this story in Parliament, when Lee and Mendis broke it,
- 39:24Speaker 2: he denied it in a way that sounded like the
- 39:27Speaker 2: story was completely untrue.
- 39:30Speaker 8: That no involvement with the bride's returning.
- 39:31Speaker 7: Well, he has had some sort of involvement, if not
- 39:34Speaker 7: certainly Tony Burk's department.
- 39:35Speaker 2: All right, let me ask you about these protests, the
- 39:37Speaker 2: opera house ones that are planned for Sunday, the pro
- 39:40Speaker 2: Palestinian ones.
- 39:42Speaker 3: It's up to a court tomorrow, Court.
- 39:44Speaker 8: Of appill I've got a view on this. The decision
- 39:47Speaker 8: in August for the decision in August for.
- 39:49Speaker 7: The Harbor Bridge was taken by her honor in the
- 39:52Speaker 7: Supreme Court, Belinda rig Now, who honor was the first
- 39:55Speaker 7: woman elevated to be the Chief of the Public Defender's
- 39:58Speaker 7: Office prior to taking Silk. Then, of course she's elevated
- 40:01Speaker 7: to the Supreme Court bench. So when she made the decision,
- 40:03Speaker 7: she'd been on the bench for only thirteen months.
- 40:06Speaker 8: I think wiser heads. I can't put words in the mouths.
- 40:09Speaker 7: Of her fellow jurists, but I'm pretty sure people were
- 40:12Speaker 7: standed by her decision. Remember, on the Friday she said no,
- 40:15Speaker 7: I'll give my decision. In the morning she adjourned it
- 40:18Speaker 7: and people were saying, what's your journey for? Why couldn't
- 40:20Speaker 7: she make a decision based on the information supply.
- 40:22Speaker 8: I think they've gone to the Court of.
- 40:24Speaker 7: Appeal not because they think there'll be an appeal. I
- 40:26Speaker 7: think they want three really wise heads on the Court
- 40:30Speaker 7: of Appeal Supreme Court justices to say either she made
- 40:34Speaker 7: the right decision or she made the wrong decision, because
- 40:36Speaker 7: the decision she made seids a.
- 40:38Speaker 8: Precedent at law.
- 40:39Speaker 7: And if the Supreme Court Court of Appeal says no,
- 40:43Speaker 7: you're not doing it, you're not marching an open house,
- 40:46Speaker 7: that's the latest precedent and that'll put things back where
- 40:49Speaker 7: they should be.
- 40:50Speaker 8: That the streets of Sydney shouldn't.
- 40:51Speaker 7: Be taken over in the minute that I've taken over
- 40:53Speaker 7: on the Harbor Bridge, or possibly in the Opera House exactly.
- 40:56Speaker 2: If the court does allow the protest to go ahead,
- 40:59Speaker 2: I mean, it'll be very depressing, very hurtful. But I
- 41:02Speaker 2: think then there would be an argument for the Premier
- 41:05Speaker 2: to look at the legislation and strengthen the legislation. Because
- 41:09Speaker 2: the Court can only make a decision.
- 41:11Speaker 3: About the law.
- 41:12Speaker 2: The Premier can change the law. And I only say
- 41:15Speaker 2: that because of the new footage that I've broadcast tonight.
- 41:18Speaker 2: You know, clearly targets Jews, you know, and there's a
- 41:22Speaker 2: reference to let's kill all the Jews, and that can't
- 41:27Speaker 2: surely that's not defensible as free speech.
- 41:30Speaker 7: Well, I think you're probably right if their honor has
- 41:32Speaker 7: come up with a decision supporting Justice rig I think
- 41:35Speaker 7: the Premier will have to move with the help of
- 41:38Speaker 7: his Attorney General if he can wake him up, to
- 41:40Speaker 7: do something about this via legislation and do it rather quickly.
- 41:45Speaker 7: But I'm hoping that three wise heads on the Court
- 41:50Speaker 7: of Appeal will come up with a decision that will
- 41:52Speaker 7: be supported I think by the majority of Australians.
- 41:55Speaker 3: I agree.
- 41:55Speaker 8: We can't have any key on our streets.
- 41:57Speaker 3: No agreed, agreed.
- 41:59Speaker 2: Now, just before you go, Ray, I read in the
- 42:02Speaker 2: Australian Media section.
- 42:04Speaker 7: Steve Jackson he takes a very sizable interest in my life, Steve,
- 42:08Speaker 7: he does.
- 42:08Speaker 2: But I read in the media section this week that
- 42:11Speaker 2: two GB, that nine might be looking to sell off
- 42:13Speaker 2: two GB. Now if there's a new owner, not necessarily Singo,
- 42:18Speaker 2: but if it's Singo or someone else and they say, Ray,
- 42:22Speaker 2: we want you to come back to radio. Your talent
- 42:24Speaker 2: is extraordinary. What do you say, are you going to
- 42:27Speaker 2: would you return?
- 42:28Speaker 8: Well, a couple of things if I could just deal
- 42:30Speaker 8: with them in order.
- 42:32Speaker 7: Firstly, Steve also read a story that I'm still being
- 42:35Speaker 7: paid by the nine network, which is true.
- 42:37Speaker 8: However, there was a.
- 42:38Speaker 7: Non publication order in the disclosure I signed, but someone
- 42:42Speaker 7: at Channel nine saw fit to tell Steve Jackson that
- 42:44Speaker 7: I'm still being paid. How do I know The blake
- 42:47Speaker 7: who told him told me he told.
- 42:48Speaker 3: Him so he reached your contract that well in a.
- 42:53Speaker 7: Form, yes, but they're still paying me despite that, And
- 42:56Speaker 7: so I can talk about it because someone from Channel
- 42:58Speaker 7: nine told Steve Jackson I was still getting paid, so
- 43:01Speaker 7: and that ends at the end of twenty twenty six.
- 43:04Speaker 7: So I have said publicly I owe my career to
- 43:08Speaker 7: John Singleton. I was sacked by two well, my contract
- 43:11Speaker 7: wasn't renewed in two thousand and one by two year
- 43:13Speaker 7: WI Singer threw me a lifeline and then took me
- 43:16Speaker 7: from football to the morning program. And if John Singleton
- 43:20Speaker 7: owns two GB, I will return. I've made a commitment
- 43:24Speaker 7: to him. But other parties who are mentioned. I don't
- 43:27Speaker 7: know them. I've never spoken with them. I don't know
- 43:30Speaker 7: anything about the interest. And besides that, there's a review
- 43:32Speaker 7: by nine Entertainment at the moment on whether they do
- 43:34Speaker 7: or don't sell nine Radio, so they may decide to
- 43:37Speaker 7: keep it, and in that case, I'll stay retired, but.
- 43:41Speaker 3: You would be lw it out of retirement. I think
- 43:43Speaker 3: that's good to know.
- 43:44Speaker 8: Well, yeah, I'm on the record to say Singo owns it.
- 43:46Speaker 7: I'm back for sure. If other people ad it, I
- 43:49Speaker 7: don't know because I don't know them and I haven't.
- 43:51Speaker 8: Spoken to them.
- 43:51Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, Well, I think it would be great to
- 43:54Speaker 2: have you back on the waves in all ways, right,
- 43:56Speaker 2: but the party, I don't so.
- 43:58Speaker 8: In the meantime, I don't know if anyone would sh that.
- 44:00Speaker 7: I did a charity function recently and Scott Morrison was
- 44:03Speaker 7: there and I asked mister Morrison if he missed me,
- 44:06Speaker 7: and he said yes, I do, and mister ALBANIZI had
- 44:08Speaker 7: just left the room.
- 44:08Speaker 1: I don't.
- 44:09Speaker 8: I don't think Alba misses me.
- 44:11Speaker 2: I would say that's true. Well, you did have a
- 44:13Speaker 2: blue with Skomo one time, But story.
- 44:15Speaker 8: For you in the past. In the past We're back
- 44:17Speaker 8: in love, right.
- 44:18Speaker 2: Thank you, see you next week by all right, still
- 44:22Speaker 2: to come, MICHAELA. Cash will rip into the pro Palestinian
- 44:24Speaker 2: protests that are happening tonight.
- 44:27Speaker 3: That's next.
- 44:32Speaker 2: Welcome back and let's bring in our shadow Foreign Affairs Minister,
- 44:35Speaker 2: Mikaylia Cash. Michaylia, good to see you as always. Now
- 44:39Speaker 2: the Albanezy government is refusing to disclose exactly how many
- 44:43Speaker 2: Isis family members have returned to Australia.
- 44:47Speaker 1: Why this cover up?
- 44:50Speaker 9: Well, Shari, it was utterly extraordinary scenes in Senate Estimates
- 44:55Speaker 9: today where we are Senator Wong for four hours the
- 45:01Speaker 9: most basic questions in relation to the return of the
- 45:06Speaker 9: Isis brides and their children, and instead of providing answers,
- 45:11Speaker 9: Senator one on behalf of the Prime Minister chose silence.
- 45:16Speaker 9: This isn't leadership, this is concealment. And every Australian should
- 45:20Speaker 9: tonight be asking themselves what is the Albanesi government hiding?
- 45:26Speaker 9: I mean, these are women who made a conscious choice,
- 45:29Speaker 9: as you know, Shari, to leave the great country of
- 45:32Speaker 9: Australia and join a death cult. We now know that
- 45:37Speaker 9: they are back in Australia and instead of providing Australians
- 45:41Speaker 9: with answers to the most basic of questions, For example,
- 45:45Speaker 9: how many Isis brides have returned? Where security assessments done
- 45:51Speaker 9: prior to their return to Australia. What monitoring are these
- 45:55Speaker 9: women and their children currently under? But more than that,
- 45:59Speaker 9: what is the Albanese government doing shari to keep Australian safe.
- 46:04Speaker 9: These women joined a death cult they are now back
- 46:07Speaker 9: in Australia. Instead of showing leadership, they chose concealment, they
- 46:15Speaker 9: chose silence. It is another disgrace. But I can tell
- 46:17Speaker 9: you now if set It Along thinks we're going to
- 46:20Speaker 9: stop our questioning, she is sadly wrong, because tomorrow we
- 46:25Speaker 9: have the Department of Home Affairs, the department responsible for
- 46:30Speaker 9: the return of the Isis brides, and we will continue
- 46:33Speaker 9: to demand questions and transparency from this government.
- 46:38Speaker 2: It's the most extraordinary thing. Right from the beginning, Albanesi
- 46:42Speaker 2: denied this in parliament. I confirmed it that night. They
- 46:45Speaker 2: all laughed as you did yesterday and mocked. You know,
- 46:49Speaker 2: why are you're getting your questions from sky after dark?
- 46:52Speaker 2: And it's true they're now here thanks to Harold Suns
- 46:54Speaker 2: for reporting, and yet no answers Mikayla.
- 46:57Speaker 9: It is a political cover up, Shari of incredible proportions,
- 47:02Speaker 9: a political cover up.
- 47:04Speaker 4: It is.
- 47:04Speaker 2: Indeed, I want to ask you about the October seventh
- 47:07Speaker 2: second anniversary. Today as we speak, there's a glorify the
- 47:11Speaker 2: Martyr's rally happening in Bankstown, in Tony Burke's own electorate.
- 47:16Speaker 2: Should more have been done to stop this from going ahead?
- 47:19Speaker 2: Giving it glorifies terror?
- 47:24Speaker 9: Serry, I'm almost lost for words because I listened to
- 47:27Speaker 9: your interview with Eli or Ellie, and I also met
- 47:30Speaker 9: with Danny today. I don't know what type of country
- 47:33Speaker 9: we now live in where there are protests currently taking
- 47:38Speaker 9: place as you said, but also that are planned for
- 47:43Speaker 9: the foot of the Sydney Opera House that are actually
- 47:46Speaker 9: glorifying what occurred on October the seventh two years ago.
- 47:50Speaker 9: So let's be clear. What has been glorified tonight is
- 47:54Speaker 9: the slaughter of Jewish people by a terrorist organization that
- 48:00Speaker 9: is dedicated to the destruction of Israel.
- 48:04Speaker 8: So let's speak.
- 48:05Speaker 9: New South Wales has a or is meant to have
- 48:07Speaker 9: a permit system in place that allows you to express
- 48:11Speaker 9: a political expression, however not at the expense of safety
- 48:17Speaker 9: or security, and too many times now, Shahi, we have
- 48:20Speaker 9: seen a failure of that system. So the answer is yes,
- 48:25Speaker 9: if these protests are allowed to go ahead, then yes,
- 48:29Speaker 9: the laws must be strengthened because these people, they are
- 48:33Speaker 9: celebrating terrorism, They are glorifying a terrorist group that is
- 48:39Speaker 9: quite frankly unacceptable in the country that I know to
- 48:43Speaker 9: be Australia.
- 48:45Speaker 2: So well said, so well spoken. It if only we
- 48:48Speaker 2: had your strength and government at the moment. I mean,
- 48:50Speaker 2: Tony Burke released the statement, but no action. It's gone
- 48:53Speaker 2: ahead to night and just everyone at home the vision
- 48:56Speaker 2: you were just watching next to Michayley, that's of the
- 48:59Speaker 2: protest that's unfolding tonight in his electric micking.
- 49:02Speaker 9: Can I say, Shahi and you you've been going on
- 49:05Speaker 9: about this now, articularly for two years. This is a
- 49:09Speaker 9: government that, as you said, my god, it's good with words,
- 49:12Speaker 9: but judge them by their actions and by their actions
- 49:16Speaker 9: quite frankly, when it comes to tackling anti Semitism in
- 49:18Speaker 9: this country, they shall be condemned.
- 49:22Speaker 3: Indeed, Michaylia Cash, thank you so much for your time.
- 49:26Speaker 3: After the break.
- 49:27Speaker 2: More details on the special documentary airing tomorrow tomorrow night
- 49:35Speaker 2: on Sky News. We're broadcasting an incredible documentary about everything
- 49:40Speaker 2: that's unfolded, mostly in the West since October seven. It
- 49:44Speaker 2: delves into the influence of Qatar on university campuses. There's
- 49:48Speaker 2: interviews with Deborah Messing. It's called October eight. It starts
- 49:52Speaker 2: at seven point thirty and it runs right through my program.
- 49:55Speaker 2: So I'm going to see you back here on Thursday night. Look,
- 49:59Speaker 2: don't miss the documentary. But it has been a heavy
- 50:02Speaker 2: day to day for all of us. Take it easy.
- 50:05Speaker 3: Here's Paul Murray
