- 0:05Speaker 1: NFL Now is a production of the NFL in partnership
- 0:08Speaker 1: with I Heart Radio. Oh, nothing to talk about whatsoever.
- 0:16Speaker 1: Mike Vrabels on the podium right now, trying to explain that,
- 0:19Speaker 1: in his words, he had nothing to do with John
- 0:20Speaker 1: Robinson's firing. Will play that in a little bit. We
- 0:23Speaker 1: have everything you need to know injury wise about week
- 0:26Speaker 1: fourteen as we get ready for a game and one
- 0:28Speaker 1: day right here in the building right next to us
- 0:31Speaker 1: the Raiders and the Rams for our studio in Los Angeles.
- 0:34Speaker 1: I'm Andrews Ciciliano, and this is Von Miller. He is
- 0:38Speaker 1: done for the season. The breaking news forty minutes ago
- 0:42Speaker 1: he has an a c L tear. Doctors went in
- 0:46Speaker 1: yesterday exploratory surgery to clean up the injury from Thanksgiving
- 0:51Speaker 1: and found an a c L tear. Thirty three years old,
- 0:55Speaker 1: eight sacks, heart and soul of that defense. Done for
- 0:58Speaker 1: the year. Very unfortunate situation for Vaughan. Obviously in our
- 1:04Speaker 1: team care for him obviously like like we would any player.
- 1:08Speaker 1: We know how much this means to him in terms
- 1:10Speaker 1: of playing and and being with the team, So we
- 1:12Speaker 1: look forward to getting him back. Obviously off the field
- 1:15Speaker 1: for the rest of the season and his leadership, and
- 1:18Speaker 1: we're certainly thinking about him as he recovers. Will miss him.
- 1:21Speaker 1: But as I said last week when he was out
- 1:23Speaker 1: at the time, for the time and an opportunity for
- 1:25Speaker 1: other guys to to to step up, and the reactions
- 1:29Speaker 1: swift from all around the National Football League. From Michael Parsons,
- 1:33Speaker 1: we blurred out a colorful word that isn't fit for
- 1:36Speaker 1: the TV screen, but he says, praying for you, big
- 1:40Speaker 1: brow this one. When you saw the injury Ian, Mike
- 1:44Speaker 1: Bucky Brooks on Thanksgiving, you fear the worst, and then
- 1:48Speaker 1: Ian there was some hope. Oh, it isn't that bad.
- 1:52Speaker 1: Now we find out it is. Now this has been
- 1:54Speaker 1: an absolute roller coaster for not just Bills fans, but
- 1:58Speaker 1: also the Bills themselves and for von Miller. Immediately upon injury,
- 2:02Speaker 1: it seemed that von Miller had dodged a Oh it
- 2:05Speaker 1: escaped the worst. He went on the podcast, his own
- 2:08Speaker 1: podcast and said he could actually be back after missing
- 2:11Speaker 1: just one game, and the Bills put him on IR
- 2:13Speaker 1: to let his lateral meniscus heal. Now, my understanding was
- 2:17Speaker 1: it moved to a different part of the knee because
- 2:19Speaker 1: there was so much damage because the force was so great.
- 2:22Speaker 1: The original plan was no surgery than just based on
- 2:25Speaker 1: the range of motion and a couple other factors. They
- 2:27Speaker 1: went in yesterday and did not really exploratory surgery, more
- 2:31Speaker 1: surgery to take the lateral meniscus from the wrong channel
- 2:34Speaker 1: where it was and move it into the right place.
- 2:37Speaker 1: When they did that, when they went in, they found
- 2:40Speaker 1: what m Ris and other scans did not show, which
- 2:43Speaker 1: is that he did in fact have a tear in
- 2:46Speaker 1: his A c L. They have repaired it, but of
- 2:48Speaker 1: course he has now done for the season. Should make
- 2:51Speaker 1: a full recovery and be back next year. Mike, but
- 2:53Speaker 1: a crushing, crushing blow for Buffalo. Don't blink. That was
- 2:58Speaker 1: von Miller's mantra to this team. Don't blink, and this
- 3:00Speaker 1: is going to be the ultimate. They got to take
- 3:02Speaker 1: his advice for losing him and for what he means,
- 3:05Speaker 1: not just as a pass rusher, but because of that mentality,
- 3:09Speaker 1: that don't link mentality that he was trying to impart
- 3:12Speaker 1: on this entire defense and this entire team. Signing him
- 3:15Speaker 1: was so much more than just getting to the quarterback.
- 3:17Speaker 1: It was establishing or helping to establish a culture that
- 3:20Speaker 1: they had already built and maybe helping them get over
- 3:23Speaker 1: the hump and get to the super Bowl. So that's
- 3:25Speaker 1: another big part of this. Don't just think about what
- 3:27Speaker 1: he means on the field, and think about what he
- 3:29Speaker 1: means to these guys who are now going to have
- 3:31Speaker 1: to step up. The A J. F and s Is
- 3:32Speaker 1: of the world, the Gregory Russos of the world, the
- 3:35Speaker 1: Shack Lawson's Tim Settle. That's a guy on the inside
- 3:38Speaker 1: that they signed from Washington who can get after the
- 3:40Speaker 1: passer have given the opportunity. It's just going to have
- 3:42Speaker 1: to be made up from all parts of this defense
- 3:46Speaker 1: to compensate not only again for what he does on
- 3:49Speaker 1: the field, but also what he does from a leadership standpoint.
- 3:51Speaker 1: Von Miller leads the Bills and sacks he as a
- 3:54Speaker 1: Bucky Brooks. Two of those eight came in their win
- 3:57Speaker 1: over the Chiefs earlier this year, which is why they
- 4:00Speaker 1: have that tidebreaker, which is why the Bills are now
- 4:03Speaker 1: in first and Bucky. We spent the hire off season
- 4:05Speaker 1: talking about the fact that when you get von Miller,
- 4:08Speaker 1: it's not so much for the regular season, it's the
- 4:11Speaker 1: close in the postseason to sack Mahomes in the playoffs
- 4:17Speaker 1: without him, how much do their championship hopes take a hit? Oh,
- 4:21Speaker 1: I mean, I still think this is a team that
- 4:23Speaker 1: is one of the heavyweights in the a f C.
- 4:25Speaker 1: So yeah, it certainly takes a hit because you're losing
- 4:27Speaker 1: a premier pass rusher. But make no mistake, the Buffalo
- 4:30Speaker 1: Bills are going to be in the conversation as one
- 4:32Speaker 1: of the teams that could be the last team standing.
- 4:34Speaker 1: This is a team offensively, they still have all the firepower.
- 4:38Speaker 1: They can force opponents to play their game, meaning offense
- 4:41Speaker 1: ticks up. They forced you to chase points, so now
- 4:44Speaker 1: you have to throw the ball to catch up. Mike
- 4:46Speaker 1: mentioned a bunch of young players that they have in
- 4:49Speaker 1: the in the stable that they can throw at it.
- 4:51Speaker 1: The one thing that it changes, it may force Leslie
- 4:54Speaker 1: Fraser to change his style. They've been a team that
- 4:57Speaker 1: has been able to rush before play coverage in the
- 4:59Speaker 1: back end, and because Von Millier company have been so
- 5:02Speaker 1: good and so effective, they've been able to do that.
- 5:04Speaker 1: When that they may have to bring a little more pressure.
- 5:06Speaker 1: They may have to blitz more, put their corners and
- 5:09Speaker 1: expose them to a little more man to man. The
- 5:11Speaker 1: good thing is White is back in the mix. They
- 5:15Speaker 1: have a good set of corners. They should be fine.
- 5:17Speaker 1: It's not the same, but this team is still a
- 5:19Speaker 1: rated rock as a Super Bowl content, and the Bill's
- 5:22Speaker 1: got the Jets this week without von Miller. We knew
- 5:24Speaker 1: that he was on I R, but we now find
- 5:26Speaker 1: out today he is not coming back the rest of
- 5:29Speaker 1: the year. Bucky's coming back a little bit later though,
- 5:32Speaker 1: Thank you, Bucky. Mike Ian. We have other news, obviously,
- 5:36Speaker 1: including out of San Francisco yesterday with news that Jimmy Garoppolo,
- 5:41Speaker 1: yes has a broken foot. Yes he's not going to
- 5:43Speaker 1: play in the regular season, but I'm telling you there's
- 5:46Speaker 1: a chance he does not need foot surgery, which means maybe,
- 5:53Speaker 1: just maybe, if brock Purty can get him deep into
- 5:58Speaker 1: the postseason. Gara follow, could we see Garoppolo again? It's possible,
- 6:06Speaker 1: but you just mentioned the scenario in which brock Purty
- 6:09Speaker 1: takes him deep into the postseason, whether it's the conference
- 6:11Speaker 1: championship game or the Super Bowl. If he gets them
- 6:13Speaker 1: all the way there, you're gonna then pull him out
- 6:14Speaker 1: to bring Jimmy Garoppolo back when he might be rusty
- 6:17Speaker 1: or not recovered. The point I'm trying to make is Uh,
- 6:20Speaker 1: it's still a two month or so recovery for Jimmy Garoppolo.
- 6:24Speaker 1: So we're pushing right up against the Super Bowl for
- 6:28Speaker 1: his potential return to the field. I spoke to some
- 6:30Speaker 1: sources yet or say, yeah, it's still unlikely that he's
- 6:33Speaker 1: going to be back on the football during the season,
- 6:36Speaker 1: which encompasses the postseason, by the way. But the bigger
- 6:39Speaker 1: news here for Garoppolo for the long haul and even
- 6:42Speaker 1: for the forty Niners, is that there was no ligament damage.
- 6:45Speaker 1: There's a break in his foot, yes, but there was
- 6:46Speaker 1: no ligament damage, which is why the initial concern was
- 6:50Speaker 1: this was going to be a upwards of six month recovery.
- 6:52Speaker 1: You get it, Liz Frank. Ligament that requires surgery, it's
- 6:56Speaker 1: half a year or so before you're fully back, and
- 6:59Speaker 1: even then you might be affected as well. So that
- 7:02Speaker 1: was really good news for Garoppolo for the long term
- 7:04Speaker 1: because he gonna be a free agent, so by the
- 7:06Speaker 1: time he gets to March, he is going to be
- 7:09Speaker 1: fully healthy. That is huge for him. He expects to
- 7:11Speaker 1: get some interest elsewhere. I'm sure that forty would love
- 7:13Speaker 1: to have him in a backup scenario. But if he's
- 7:16Speaker 1: fully healthy by March, and there's teams that need quarterback help,
- 7:18Speaker 1: including potentially the Rams. Who knows. I mean, they're certainly
- 7:21Speaker 1: looking for long term solutions and had an interest in
- 7:24Speaker 1: Garoppolo before the season. Who knows. It's good news for
- 7:27Speaker 1: Jimmy long term. I still think the chances are slim.
- 7:29Speaker 1: We see him on the field in two and that
- 7:31Speaker 1: includes here. Now, there are a lot of ifts right there,
- 7:34Speaker 1: but you are already writing topic bars. Do you bench
- 7:38Speaker 1: Brock pretty for Jimmy Garoppolo in the playoffs for late January?
- 7:42Speaker 1: Signed me up for that a couple of weeks ago.
- 7:44Speaker 1: Ian Rappaport Love Smith's uh was kind of defiance on
- 7:48Speaker 1: the podium. Wouldn't name his starting quarterback? He did today
- 7:52Speaker 1: he made another switch. It is Davis Mills. Remember him.
- 7:55Speaker 1: He was the guy who started the first part of
- 7:57Speaker 1: the season, showed a lot of promise, made a lot
- 7:59Speaker 1: of plays and kind of the wheels came off a
- 8:01Speaker 1: little bit. And it's just he's just not a lot
- 8:03Speaker 1: of help around him. Just it's a young team. They're
- 8:06Speaker 1: just not very good and he ended up making some
- 8:08Speaker 1: bad decisions costs, ended up getting benched. Well, he is back,
- 8:11Speaker 1: so the Davis Mills sort of evaluation for the future
- 8:15Speaker 1: whatever he ends up being a really good backup or
- 8:17Speaker 1: maybe more. That continues now for the Texans. Meanwhile, the
- 8:21Speaker 1: Jacksonville Jaguars have a situation surrounding their starting quarterback Trevor Lawrence.
- 8:26Speaker 1: He has a toe sprain, a big toe sprain from
- 8:29Speaker 1: that that scary hit on Sunday where we thought surely
- 8:32Speaker 1: something was very, very badly wrong that he came back,
- 8:35Speaker 1: came back in the game. Well, it's not his knee,
- 8:37Speaker 1: it's actually his big toe. Did not practice today. We'll
- 8:40Speaker 1: see about his availability moving forward. Okay, So Tyler Huntley
- 8:43Speaker 1: likely um and uh and I'm sorry, Brock. Pretty that
- 8:48Speaker 1: would be fifty four starting quarterbacks this year for some reason.
- 8:51Speaker 1: Trevor Lawrence and the toe can't go. C J. Bethred
- 8:54Speaker 1: would be fifty five starting quarterbacks this year in fourteen
- 8:59Speaker 1: weeks in rapp report, Mi cal follow is that? Where
- 9:02Speaker 1: does that rank? I'll tell you it's two more than
- 9:04Speaker 1: last here, fifty five fifty three last year through this point.
- 9:08Speaker 1: So good question, Mike, and we'll fill in more context
- 9:11Speaker 1: a little bit later. The Eagles have started only one
- 9:14Speaker 1: quarterback this year. Jalen Hurts. That guy has a playoff
- 9:19Speaker 1: clinching scenario this week. The Eagles are in with a win.
- 9:24Speaker 1: It's Nick Sirianni and the Eagles against the Giants. Every
- 9:28Speaker 1: game is a big game. And and to have guys
- 9:31Speaker 1: that are sitting in this in these seats out here
- 9:33Speaker 1: that are you know, have played in big games, that's huge. Right.
- 9:36Speaker 1: So this this is a division right, we know how
- 9:38Speaker 1: awesome the division rivalries are here in with with New
- 9:42Speaker 1: York and Dallas and in Washington, and just happy to
- 9:45Speaker 1: be part of that. And so I'm glad we got
- 9:47Speaker 1: guys in this building that have that know what it's
- 9:49Speaker 1: like to be in big division, you know, rivalry games,
- 9:52Speaker 1: because that's the next one. And so you know, I
- 9:53Speaker 1: know we've got a really good team that we're about
- 9:55Speaker 1: to play this week, and uh, you know we're gonna
- 9:57Speaker 1: we're gonna have to be on it to to go
- 9:58Speaker 1: out there and get a victory. Really tough schedule for
- 10:01Speaker 1: the other team for the Giants. He go Commanders, Eagles commanders.
- 10:06Speaker 1: But right now, the Giants are holding on to that
- 10:09Speaker 1: six spots in the NFC at seven four and one.
- 10:13Speaker 1: The other half of that tie with the commanders, and
- 10:15Speaker 1: they are in the eighth position to the NFC right now,
- 10:18Speaker 1: out of it at seven five and one. I told you, Buck,
- 10:21Speaker 1: you would be back here. He isn't Judy Batista with
- 10:23Speaker 1: us as well? Who's going to be covering this game
- 10:26Speaker 1: this coming Sunday as the Giants Judy try to get
- 10:29Speaker 1: that running game that carried them the first half of
- 10:33Speaker 1: the year back into four. Yeah, they are in a
- 10:35Speaker 1: real rut with the running game and the first seven
- 10:38Speaker 1: games of this season when everything was rosy for the
- 10:40Speaker 1: New York Giants, they were averaging a hundred seventy three
- 10:44Speaker 1: rushing yards per game the last five games, and we
- 10:47Speaker 1: know what's happened in the last five games. They don't
- 10:49Speaker 1: have a victory in any of them, one tie, four losses.
- 10:53Speaker 1: They're down to a hundred sixteen rushing yards per game
- 10:56Speaker 1: and they are under four yards per carry, So they
- 11:00Speaker 1: are in a real rut. Si Kwan Barkley is in
- 11:02Speaker 1: a rut. He is under seventy yards in each of
- 11:05Speaker 1: the last three games. He's also not really making any
- 11:08Speaker 1: big plays in the in the passing game. Why do
- 11:11Speaker 1: they need to get out of this run? Well, a
- 11:13Speaker 1: few things. First of all, the running game is the
- 11:15Speaker 1: best way to keep Jalen Hurts on the bench, which
- 11:17Speaker 1: is certainly where they want him. And also because they've
- 11:19Speaker 1: got to keep that pass rush off Daniel Jones. We
- 11:22Speaker 1: know this is the formula for opponents of the New
- 11:25Speaker 1: York Giants now. They want to take away the run
- 11:27Speaker 1: and put the game onto the passing game so that
- 11:29Speaker 1: they can tee off on Daniel Jones. The Eagles passed
- 11:32Speaker 1: Rusch has thirteen sex in the last three weeks. They
- 11:35Speaker 1: have to stop that. They've got to get the running
- 11:37Speaker 1: game going if the Giants are going to hold onto
- 11:40Speaker 1: that playoff spot. Eagles have lost the last two years
- 11:43Speaker 1: to the Giants. In MetLife Stadium Book, you thought it
- 11:45Speaker 1: was interesting. Nick Sirianni on the podium about twenty minutes ago, said, Hey,
- 11:48Speaker 1: the Titans played us defensively last week, specifically to stop
- 11:54Speaker 1: the run, which the previous week we ran for three
- 11:57Speaker 1: sixty three. It's like that look we got was to
- 12:00Speaker 1: stop the run, and so you know, they threw the
- 12:03Speaker 1: ball over the top of their head. What's the that's
- 12:05Speaker 1: way to defend them. You know, it's tough, because I
- 12:07Speaker 1: think the best way to defend him is you have
- 12:08Speaker 1: to stop the run, because if you allow the Philadelphia
- 12:11Speaker 1: Eagles to run the ball, they're running down your throat.
- 12:13Speaker 1: And they like playing that style because it allows them
- 12:15Speaker 1: to control the game. For all the improvement that Jalen
- 12:18Speaker 1: Hursts has made, even being an m v P candidate,
- 12:21Speaker 1: when you think about the best way to make the
- 12:23Speaker 1: Eagles play, you have to put it on his shoulders.
- 12:25Speaker 1: This year, time and time again, he's checked off all
- 12:28Speaker 1: the boxes when it comes to being tested as a passer.
- 12:31Speaker 1: But the best way to knock this team off is
- 12:34Speaker 1: you have to make him throw. You have to make
- 12:36Speaker 1: him make enough plays in the passing game to do it,
- 12:39Speaker 1: and you run the risk of being blown out like
- 12:42Speaker 1: the Tennessee Titans were because a J. Brown DeVante Smith.
- 12:45Speaker 1: Those guys can win Dallas. Guy that controls the middle
- 12:47Speaker 1: of the field, and when Jalen Hursts is on his game,
- 12:49Speaker 1: look man, he is looking like an m VP candidate.
- 12:53Speaker 1: This offense has been unstoppable to date, but you have
- 12:55Speaker 1: to continue to test the quarterback to see if he
- 12:58Speaker 1: can live up to the expectation each in every week.
- 13:01Speaker 1: As a kid who grew up back there in NFC
- 13:04Speaker 1: East Territory, it's great to have the NFC East playing
- 13:07Speaker 1: meaningful games like this in December. Here this is the
- 13:10Speaker 1: first time in twelve years these two teams meet where
- 13:14Speaker 1: they are both two games over five hundred when they
- 13:18Speaker 1: kick off. Looking forward to this one coming up on Sunday.
- 13:20Speaker 1: Thank you, Bucky, Thank you Judy. By the way, Nick
- 13:23Speaker 1: Serrianti was asked today about his interest the Eagle's interest
- 13:25Speaker 1: in Odell Beckham Jr. He says, we are thrilled with
- 13:29Speaker 1: the wide receiver room that we have, so I guess
- 13:32Speaker 1: take the Eagles out of it. But Beckham has met
- 13:35Speaker 1: with the Giants, he's met with the Bills, and earlier
- 13:37Speaker 1: this week he met with the Cowboys. Mike McCarthy how
- 13:40Speaker 1: to go. I thought the business one very well. I know,
- 13:43Speaker 1: personally extremely impressed with O'Dell and Jorge, our time together,
- 13:47Speaker 1: like this vibe, you know, and and just uh just
- 13:50Speaker 1: enjoyed everything about our talk. And we didn't talk a
- 13:53Speaker 1: whole lot about football, talk more about a life and family.
- 13:55Speaker 1: So I think for the most part, I thought it
- 13:57Speaker 1: was a very very positive, productive visit. Very positive Jane
- 14:02Speaker 1: Slater as the Cowboys get ready for the Texans. Positive
- 14:05Speaker 1: of yet no signing as Odell Beckham Jr. Tweets a
- 14:09Speaker 1: chess piece moments ago. I don't know if he's watching
- 14:12Speaker 1: Queen's Gambit or he's suggesting that he's playing chess. I
- 14:15Speaker 1: don't know. Is he gonna sign what do we know?
- 14:18Speaker 1: Great movie? By the way, if you haven't watched it,
- 14:20Speaker 1: Here's what I know about the O. B. J situation.
- 14:23Speaker 1: It's no secret Jerry Jones was enamored with this player
- 14:26Speaker 1: ahead of his visit to Dallas. Now, the problem was
- 14:29Speaker 1: that they weren't able to see him conduct a workout. Now,
- 14:32Speaker 1: not dissimilar from teams like the Bills and Giants, But
- 14:35Speaker 1: the issue that I'm hearing internally is the fact when
- 14:38Speaker 1: you can't see him run routes, you can't see him cutting.
- 14:41Speaker 1: Is he going to be available to play this season?
- 14:44Speaker 1: That is why they wanted to make the move. They
- 14:46Speaker 1: wanted to have him available this year. I'm hearing they
- 14:49Speaker 1: felt like it would be a push to even have
- 14:50Speaker 1: him available if let's say, the Cowboys got all the
- 14:53Speaker 1: way to the Super Bowl. So in the absence of
- 14:56Speaker 1: feeling confident about that, no offer was made. Now they
- 14:59Speaker 1: have rolled the dice on players with jury concerns in
- 15:01Speaker 1: the past, Jalen Smith comes to mind, but I would
- 15:04Speaker 1: remind viewers that in that situation, Jalen smith surgery was
- 15:08Speaker 1: done by Dr Dan Cooper, the Cowboys team doctor, so
- 15:11Speaker 1: they felt like they had plenty of information there. Still,
- 15:14Speaker 1: just the mention of O b J, you could say,
- 15:17Speaker 1: helped motivate this wide receiver's room. I mean, I look
- 15:20Speaker 1: at the last four games for Ceedee Lamb. He's had
- 15:22Speaker 1: three touchdowns, you had two scores from Michael Gallup, and
- 15:25Speaker 1: it seems like this offense is clicking. As one player
- 15:27Speaker 1: told me, they love to have OH b J. But
- 15:30Speaker 1: they're not relying on him, not relying on him. As
- 15:33Speaker 1: they get ready for the Houston Texans here a one
- 15:36Speaker 1: win team. James Washington is on the mend as well.
- 15:40Speaker 1: Thank you, James Slater. Here's what the Eagles and the
- 15:42Speaker 1: Cowboys have remaining as Dallas sits two games behind Philadelphia,
- 15:47Speaker 1: the Texans and the Jaguars. The next two weeks for
- 15:51Speaker 1: the Cowboys the Giants and the Bears, and then that
- 15:55Speaker 1: meeting Week six teen with Philadelphia winning the first in
- 16:02Speaker 1: the NFC Beast when they met a couple of months ago.
- 16:06Speaker 1: Bucky Brooks back with me, Bucky. Jeff chitty A, writing
- 16:09Speaker 1: in his first read on NFL dot Com that after
- 16:12Speaker 1: watching last week, and I know it was only the Colts,
- 16:14Speaker 1: but I guess he liked the fourth quarter, he has
- 16:16Speaker 1: the Cowboys as the best team in the NFC. Do
- 16:21Speaker 1: you buy that better than the Eagles? I can't buy
- 16:24Speaker 1: it right now. The Philadelfia ecause have been too good.
- 16:26Speaker 1: They've shown there sales to be the number one seed
- 16:29Speaker 1: in the league. Look, this is a team in Philadelphia
- 16:32Speaker 1: that has everything that you could want in building a
- 16:34Speaker 1: championship contended. They have a dominant offensive line. They can
- 16:38Speaker 1: run the ball that will, they have playmakers on the outside,
- 16:40Speaker 1: and they have a quarterback planing at m VP level.
- 16:43Speaker 1: When you go on the defensive of the ball, they
- 16:45Speaker 1: can rush the passer and they can cover. So when
- 16:47Speaker 1: I look at the recipe for being a championship team,
- 16:50Speaker 1: check check check, check check. The Eagles check all the boxes.
- 16:54Speaker 1: So before I can annoint the Cowboys, and it's always
- 16:57Speaker 1: great when the Cowboys in the conversation. Not quite yet,
- 17:00Speaker 1: the Philadelfi Eagles remained at the top of the list,
- 17:03Speaker 1: But the Cowboys are come check check check check. Eagles,
- 17:07Speaker 1: do yes, have the best record in football at the
- 17:10Speaker 1: number one seed right now in the NFC. Funny thing
- 17:13Speaker 1: happened in the final three minutes Monday night in Tampa.
- 17:15Speaker 1: Did you notice it? The Bucks offense worked. Do they
- 17:17Speaker 1: go hurry up all the time? Now, hurry up and
- 17:20Speaker 1: come back. We'll tell you nothing fake can stop me.
- 17:27Speaker 1: Play action, fake Brady rolling, throwing the cod ball, touch
- 17:30Speaker 1: the fire, the Candons, Bucks bake at six tonight. Here's
- 17:35Speaker 1: the snap. Brady dropping looking, Brady throws football. It's called
- 17:39Speaker 1: touch say day for Sod White, Shod white, touchtop bucket, fire,
- 17:44Speaker 1: the candod Parady with a dark take, Brashod White finishers fire,
- 17:49Speaker 1: the Cannons, Bucketeers rallied Bucketeers one on Monday Night football.
- 17:54Speaker 1: A huge comeback there for Tom Brady. Mike Render joins
- 17:57Speaker 1: us now from PFF and Mike sitting there on the
- 17:59Speaker 1: couch Monday Night. I thought that this segment might be
- 18:01Speaker 1: about Todd Bowl's decision to punt on the plus four,
- 18:05Speaker 1: but we'll save that for another time. Let's talk Tom
- 18:07Speaker 1: Brady because in the final three minutes they went hurry up.
- 18:10Speaker 1: We've seen this before. Everything clicked. It's like I'm on autopilot.
- 18:13Speaker 1: Let me handle this, and they marched up and down
- 18:15Speaker 1: the field. Why don't they do that more often? What
- 18:17Speaker 1: do the numbers say? That's a very good question. And
- 18:20Speaker 1: there really is no more damning statistic of this coaching
- 18:23Speaker 1: staff than the fact that they are second in e
- 18:26Speaker 1: p A per play in the two minute drill this
- 18:28Speaker 1: season ran more snaps into Middrill than anyone else in
- 18:31Speaker 1: the NFL this season, and in EPA per play the
- 18:35Speaker 1: rest of the game compare the rest of the NFL.
- 18:37Speaker 1: So when it's schemed up, when it's basically Byron Left,
- 18:40Speaker 1: which is play is called, the offense has been saying
- 18:43Speaker 1: that when it's Tom Brady leading the show, well, it's
- 18:45Speaker 1: been one of the best offenses in the NFL. At
- 18:47Speaker 1: some point they just have to turn the keys over
- 18:49Speaker 1: to Tom, say this running game is doing nothing for us.
- 18:52Speaker 1: They're not getting any play action off of it either,
- 18:54Speaker 1: to say, hey, just let them go quick pass the game.
- 18:56Speaker 1: There's really been no better quarterback menfel history that when
- 18:59Speaker 1: it's just him, when it's just the past a game,
- 19:01Speaker 1: when there there's no threat of the run, has been
- 19:03Speaker 1: as effective as Tom Brady. So at some point, come
- 19:06Speaker 1: playoff time, they're gonna have to just let Tom Ready
- 19:08Speaker 1: run this thing. Yeah. Is it sustainable for four quarters?
- 19:11Speaker 1: I don't know, but it worked when they needed it most,
- 19:14Speaker 1: and they pulled out a victory there to hold on
- 19:16Speaker 1: to first in the NFC South. You tweeted Sunday when
- 19:18Speaker 1: Joe Burrow was putting together another masterpiece against the Chiefs
- 19:22Speaker 1: that Burrow has entered the m v P chat. Would
- 19:26Speaker 1: you vote for him right now? I don't know if
- 19:27Speaker 1: i'd vote for him right now, but I think the
- 19:29Speaker 1: guy on the other side of the ball that game
- 19:31Speaker 1: was your front runner is your front runner, Patrick Mahomes,
- 19:34Speaker 1: and he took him down one head to head and
- 19:36Speaker 1: outplayed him resoundly in that game. Top five grade quarterback
- 19:41Speaker 1: right now, top five in touchdown passes, top five in yards.
- 19:43Speaker 1: But to me, the stat that really hits home how
- 19:46Speaker 1: good Joe Burrow has been is that is when not
- 19:49Speaker 1: using play action, because play action can oftentimes be schemed up.
- 19:52Speaker 1: Give you open, guys. When not using play action. These
- 19:54Speaker 1: first in completion percentage, first in yards, first in touchdowns,
- 19:58Speaker 1: basically as a drop back pass or There was no
- 20:00Speaker 1: one that can touch Joe Burrow in the NFL right
- 20:02Speaker 1: now and all you needed was a little semblance of
- 20:04Speaker 1: the running game. Running game at the beginning of the
- 20:05Speaker 1: season was a complete mess. They changed from an outside
- 20:08Speaker 1: zone heavy team to a more gap scheme heavy team.
- 20:10Speaker 1: Just getting that run game going a little bit has
- 20:12Speaker 1: kicked started this offense to one of the best in
- 20:14Speaker 1: the NFL. At the very moment Joe Burrow was doing
- 20:16Speaker 1: that to the Kansas City defense, Davante Adams was having
- 20:20Speaker 1: fun with the Chargers defense since Week nine. The traditional
- 20:24Speaker 1: stats here Davante Adams Mike averaging a hundred and thirty
- 20:28Speaker 1: two point eight receiving yards a game. What are the
- 20:30Speaker 1: advanced metrics tell us that he's pretty darn good. You
- 20:34Speaker 1: know that the guy that we saw in Green Bay
- 20:37Speaker 1: was not an product of Aaron Rodgers. That he himself
- 20:40Speaker 1: may have been helping out and pumping up Aaron Rodgers
- 20:42Speaker 1: the last two years for those m VP campaigns more
- 20:45Speaker 1: than he was getting a little credit for us. So,
- 20:46Speaker 1: Davante Adams, the advanced members are off the charts, top
- 20:50Speaker 1: ten in broken tackles, top ten and contested catches, and
- 20:54Speaker 1: leads the NFL round and touchdown catches and deep touchdown catches.
- 20:58Speaker 1: At that point, Davanta Adams. Is he the best shoo
- 21:00Speaker 1: in the NFL. I'm not sure. He's probably the most
- 21:02Speaker 1: complete receiver in the NFC. Yeah, and um he makes
- 21:05Speaker 1: guys who are paid large salaries look silly. Almost every
- 21:10Speaker 1: Sunday he is dominant and we saw that in there
- 21:13Speaker 1: win over the Chargers. Microenner PFF. Always great to have
- 21:16Speaker 1: you on. Thank you, Sarah. Catchy next week. But one
- 21:18Speaker 1: of my favorite parts of the week Every Wednesday, our
- 21:20Speaker 1: Hall of Fame quarterback is with us Kurt Warner live
- 21:23Speaker 1: from the QB room. Kurt, thanks for being here. Let's
- 21:26Speaker 1: talk forty Niners the news last night. There's a chance,
- 21:29Speaker 1: it's it's not a great chance, but there's a chance
- 21:32Speaker 1: that Jimmy Garoppolo could be back if the Niners make
- 21:34Speaker 1: a late run. But they would have to make that
- 21:36Speaker 1: late run into the postseason with Brock Purty. I know
- 21:39Speaker 1: it's a very small sample size, very small. Did you
- 21:42Speaker 1: see anything last week that tells you that this kid
- 21:46Speaker 1: has it in him to make a run? Well, I
- 21:49Speaker 1: mean I think of run when when we're looking just
- 21:51Speaker 1: at the quarterback position, you know, maybe a bit of
- 21:53Speaker 1: a stretch and I don't think he's gonna go in
- 21:55Speaker 1: there and you know, just take over games. And he's
- 21:59Speaker 1: not gonna be a guy that you're gonna ask to
- 22:00Speaker 1: throw thirty five times. But make a run. When you're
- 22:03Speaker 1: talking about a really good football team with the best
- 22:06Speaker 1: defense in the league and all kinds of playmakers around
- 22:09Speaker 1: you and the ability to run the football, yeah, I
- 22:11Speaker 1: think they could make a run. And here's what I see.
- 22:13Speaker 1: Jimmy Garoppolo. We've you know, a lot of people up
- 22:15Speaker 1: and down on who he is as a quarterback. I've
- 22:18Speaker 1: always liked Jimmy because he he wins and be he
- 22:21Speaker 1: makes big plays in in big moments for this team
- 22:25Speaker 1: to win. When I look at Brock Purty, I'm not
- 22:27Speaker 1: sure he's gonna be a guy that's going to continually
- 22:29Speaker 1: make a bunch of big plays for you. But I
- 22:32Speaker 1: do believe Brock Purty can make more layups than Jimmy Garoppolo.
- 22:37Speaker 1: He can see the field, get the ball out to
- 22:39Speaker 1: the right guys and allowed them to do the work
- 22:41Speaker 1: for them. And so that to me is going to
- 22:44Speaker 1: be key. Is what does Brock Purdy give us? What
- 22:46Speaker 1: is that uh that extra that he can give us
- 22:48Speaker 1: at the quarterback spot. And having watched to play him
- 22:51Speaker 1: play a lot in college uh in a little bit
- 22:53Speaker 1: last week obviously, UH he did some of that, and
- 22:56Speaker 1: so I think the team is good enough if he
- 22:58Speaker 1: can give them something, give them the layups for them
- 23:00Speaker 1: to move on and make a run on the playoffs.
- 23:03Speaker 1: Interesting this week, far from a layup, are facing Todd
- 23:06Speaker 1: Bowls and you're facing Tom Brady as the other quarterback. Cured.
- 23:10Speaker 1: I was in Vegas last night for the UH for
- 23:12Speaker 1: the College Football Hall of Fame seventy anniversary dinner, great event,
- 23:15Speaker 1: and a bunch of us are talking about OH b
- 23:17Speaker 1: J and Dak Prescott and it just kind of hit me, like,
- 23:21Speaker 1: if you're Dak, if you're a quarterback, and let's say
- 23:24Speaker 1: Odell signs, but like can't play until mid January, would
- 23:28Speaker 1: you want that in the middle of the playoffs? Like, Hey, Dak,
- 23:32Speaker 1: are you throwing out that guy? Why aren't you throwing Adam?
- 23:34Speaker 1: More like, would you want to try to work someone
- 23:36Speaker 1: new in during the postseason? I would not mind it
- 23:41Speaker 1: at all. If you're talking about the O b J
- 23:43Speaker 1: that we've all seen. And here's the thing, Andrew, you
- 23:46Speaker 1: can uh, you know, when when we talk about chemistry
- 23:49Speaker 1: between a quarterback and a receiver. You know, it's one
- 23:52Speaker 1: thing if you're gonna ask that receiver to run, you know,
- 23:55Speaker 1: a whole bunch of different routes in your playbook. If
- 23:58Speaker 1: I was going to get O. B J back later
- 24:01Speaker 1: in this deal and when we need to kind of
- 24:03Speaker 1: plug him and play him, I use him for things
- 24:06Speaker 1: that are a little bit more straight line, like I'm
- 24:08Speaker 1: gonna run him on go routes. I'm gonna run him
- 24:10Speaker 1: on post routes. I'll run him on shallow routes, which
- 24:12Speaker 1: are things that aren't so much. When's he gonna break down,
- 24:15Speaker 1: When's he gonna come out of this How's he gonna
- 24:17Speaker 1: come out of this route? Because I haven't seen much
- 24:19Speaker 1: of that. So yes, I believe if he's the talent
- 24:22Speaker 1: that we've all seen O. B J to be, you
- 24:25Speaker 1: can plug him in in certain situations and you can
- 24:28Speaker 1: use him in certain fashions to make your team better
- 24:31Speaker 1: and to allow him to be a big playmaker for
- 24:34Speaker 1: your football team. So yes, healthy the O. B J
- 24:37Speaker 1: that we saw last year with the Rams, I will
- 24:39Speaker 1: take it, okay. Jane Slater in Dallas reporting that as
- 24:43Speaker 1: if yet, the Cowboys have not offered Beckham a contract.
- 24:47Speaker 1: Baker Mayfield's contract went over to the Rams yesterday, Kurt.
- 24:50Speaker 1: They're the only team to put in a waiver claim.
- 24:53Speaker 1: And there's at least a rumbling rumbling that maybe he
- 24:58Speaker 1: sees the field tomorrow night. Kurt. He didn't get there
- 25:00Speaker 1: until last night. I mean, how bonkers is that. I
- 25:03Speaker 1: know the systems are little similar here Stefanski and McVeigh,
- 25:07Speaker 1: but could you ever imagine showing up and playing forty
- 25:10Speaker 1: eight hours later? I mean, the only way you could
- 25:12Speaker 1: imagine it is if it is similar enough that I
- 25:15Speaker 1: can call the plays and actually know what the plays mean.
- 25:18Speaker 1: I mean, if the system is the same and you're
- 25:20Speaker 1: calling the exact same plays they I can envision it.
- 25:24Speaker 1: I mean, he's been playing at times throughout this season.
- 25:28Speaker 1: He's in shape, and so it's not too far fetched
- 25:31Speaker 1: as long as you can understand that part of it.
- 25:33Speaker 1: If if there's any doubt whatsoever and he's calling a
- 25:36Speaker 1: play and he's not sure what he's supposed to be
- 25:39Speaker 1: doing or what everybody around him is going to be doing,
- 25:41Speaker 1: then you just can't put him out there. So I
- 25:43Speaker 1: understand this is this is a bit of a stretch,
- 25:46Speaker 1: but I do believe that there's a lot of similarities
- 25:48Speaker 1: within systems. If that terminology is similar enough that he
- 25:52Speaker 1: can he can really decipher in that from coach to
- 25:55Speaker 1: headset and headset to snap he can decipher what he's
- 25:58Speaker 1: supposed to be doing. That would be wild, also wild,
- 26:01Speaker 1: also pretty cool. By the way, I know, we played
- 26:04Speaker 1: this on Sunday. Let's play it again. Let's let's give
- 26:06Speaker 1: a ride of applause for your son Kate and the
- 26:08Speaker 1: Kansas State team, the Wildcats that won the Big twelve
- 26:11Speaker 1: championship game this past Saturday. And this is live from
- 26:15Speaker 1: your wife Brenda's phone and her Twitter. You guys celebrating
- 26:20Speaker 1: their big wink did five receptions. Honestly, I thought he
- 26:23Speaker 1: caught that deep ball that fifty yard or great you know,
- 26:25Speaker 1: adjustment of the air regardless, even though they didn't give
- 26:27Speaker 1: it to him. Um, how cool was that for you guys?
- 26:30Speaker 1: It's so cool. I mean, it's so cool to watch
- 26:31Speaker 1: your kids succeed in anything. And this has been a
- 26:34Speaker 1: bit of a bit of a journey for for Kate.
- 26:36Speaker 1: As uh, you know, I went through my own journey.
- 26:38Speaker 1: He's gone through his own journey, starting getting Nebraska and
- 26:40Speaker 1: then transferring over to k State. But just just a
- 26:43Speaker 1: really cool moment for him, a guy that loves football
- 26:46Speaker 1: when he's gotten his opportunities this year has really shined
- 26:49Speaker 1: and now has a chance to to say that he's
- 26:51Speaker 1: a champion, a Big twelve champion, And for that they
- 26:54Speaker 1: get a chance to go to the Sugar Bowl and
- 26:55Speaker 1: play against Alabama, one of the best teams in the country.
- 26:57Speaker 1: So it's gonna be a great challenge for them. But
- 27:00Speaker 1: I'm just so excited that in his last year he
- 27:03Speaker 1: gets to finish up this way with success on the
- 27:05Speaker 1: football field and tremendous team success. Congratulations to k Stay,
- 27:09Speaker 1: huge win there and good luck in the Sugar Bowl
- 27:12Speaker 1: against Alabama. Thank you as always, Sir Gert Warner or
- 27:15Speaker 1: whole of Fame quarterback with us every Wednesday. Former Steeler
- 27:19Speaker 1: Ryan Shazier walking out of the set. You're watching NFL
- 27:23Speaker 1: now on a Wednesday. How cool is this to have
- 27:33Speaker 1: your podcast promode in Times Square? This is pretty cool?
- 27:37Speaker 1: From Ryan Shazier's Twitter. Ryan Shazier, the former Steelers linebacker.
- 27:42Speaker 1: Don't call it a comeback. This man here is literally
- 27:46Speaker 1: a walking miracle. What a comeback for Ryan shas here
- 27:49Speaker 1: and now it's the name of your podcast with our
- 27:52Speaker 1: old Pal Dave Damnit Shack. Good to see it. Ryan
- 27:54Speaker 1: Chase here, goot to see you as well. How's the
- 27:56Speaker 1: podcast business trip? It's going well, it's going well. I'm
- 27:59Speaker 1: really enjoying it. Uh. We we talked about amazing comeback
- 28:02Speaker 1: stories and with me, you know, having a that story
- 28:05Speaker 1: of my own, just to be able to talk about
- 28:07Speaker 1: inspiring stories and just just different stories throughout all of
- 28:11Speaker 1: the dynamic of sports, is is really fun? How important
- 28:14Speaker 1: for you is it to tell those stories? And not
- 28:18Speaker 1: everyone's gonna have a comeback like you? Obviously here you
- 28:20Speaker 1: had Taylor lauana Is coming back from a knee injury.
- 28:22Speaker 1: But how important is it to add your perspective as
- 28:26Speaker 1: others try to make their comeback. One thing I think
- 28:28Speaker 1: that's really different from our perspective than a lot of
- 28:31Speaker 1: other people's is I actually had to come back, and
- 28:33Speaker 1: the comeback I've I've had is something that a lot
- 28:35Speaker 1: of people never expected to happen. So I think that
- 28:39Speaker 1: that really as a different perspective. So when we talk
- 28:42Speaker 1: about football, I can talk on that perspective. But we
- 28:45Speaker 1: talked about um a lot of different stories. With one
- 28:49Speaker 1: of the stories with one of the kids in a
- 28:50Speaker 1: littally Well series when he got injured. We talked about
- 28:53Speaker 1: that come back and just what the families are thinking
- 28:56Speaker 1: about what the person is going through in that moment,
- 28:59Speaker 1: what you have to go through. So I think I
- 29:01Speaker 1: have two different dynamics of the story that I can tell.
- 29:03Speaker 1: How often do people walk up to and say you're
- 29:06Speaker 1: my inspiration? Yeah, I probably hear that a living more
- 29:09Speaker 1: than I want to. But to me, that's a good thing,
- 29:11Speaker 1: you know, But I probably hear that I hear more
- 29:15Speaker 1: than once a week, but sometimes it's, Uh, if I
- 29:17Speaker 1: go outside of my house, I hear it almost every day.
- 29:19Speaker 1: You say more than you want to? Why no, you know,
- 29:21Speaker 1: because of the day. Uh, everybody is known for something,
- 29:25Speaker 1: and to me, I wanted to be known for just
- 29:27Speaker 1: being a great person and a good person and a
- 29:30Speaker 1: great football player and just you know, for somebody it's like, hey,
- 29:34Speaker 1: you overcame a lot, and I just like what you overcome.
- 29:37Speaker 1: It inspires me. And I'm not saying that as a
- 29:39Speaker 1: bad thing. It just that's a lot of times when
- 29:41Speaker 1: somebody doesn't know. But that's when the first thing is
- 29:42Speaker 1: they say podcast drops every Thursday with as we said,
- 29:45Speaker 1: our old pal Dave Damage check. It's called don't call
- 29:47Speaker 1: it a comeback. You're gonna have l l on by
- 29:50Speaker 1: the way, just for the don't call to come back thing. Hey,
- 29:52Speaker 1: if if we could possibly get him on there, we
- 29:54Speaker 1: would definitely love to have him when there. You know,
- 29:56Speaker 1: he's definitely had some few comeback stories himself, So hey,
- 30:00Speaker 1: I listen. I'd listen either way, but with l definitely liten.
- 30:03Speaker 1: I want to talk about your Steelers and a come back. Now,
- 30:05Speaker 1: Mike Tomin has never had a losing season. They are
- 30:08Speaker 1: five and seven, but they have one now three out
- 30:11Speaker 1: of four. Can they make a second half of the
- 30:15Speaker 1: season come back and have Tomlin avoid for that first
- 30:18Speaker 1: time having a losing season. So I actually just had
- 30:22Speaker 1: a conversation with a good friend of mine and we
- 30:25Speaker 1: made a small bed and I was like, hey, I
- 30:27Speaker 1: think that it still does gonna go to gonna go nine,
- 30:30Speaker 1: seven and nine to finish off their last nine games,
- 30:34Speaker 1: and right now they won two of them, they lost one,
- 30:36Speaker 1: so I think that they can make can come back.
- 30:39Speaker 1: Coach Tomlins before has started the season off, you know,
- 30:42Speaker 1: oh and four before the start of season and one
- 30:45Speaker 1: and four started season before. So just to understand how
- 30:49Speaker 1: he's been able to overcome those you know, deep depths
- 30:53Speaker 1: of being down and just you know, causing his team
- 30:57Speaker 1: to be able to win. I think he's he's somebody
- 30:59Speaker 1: that can turn this st around. What do you think
- 31:01Speaker 1: of Kenny pick It so far? So I'm really excited
- 31:04Speaker 1: what I'm saying for Kenney Picket right now after this
- 31:06Speaker 1: bye week. He's been playing really well. At the beginning
- 31:08Speaker 1: of the season. Obviously he had a few turnovers, but
- 31:11Speaker 1: that's what happens when you get thrown in in the
- 31:13Speaker 1: middle of the season. You don't have a lot of
- 31:14Speaker 1: chemistry with your guys, and and Camp did and play
- 31:17Speaker 1: with them. At the beginning the season, he wasn't really
- 31:19Speaker 1: practicing with them as much, and the only guy he
- 31:21Speaker 1: kind of had chemistry with was George Pickens. And now
- 31:24Speaker 1: he's started to get more chemistry with the old line,
- 31:26Speaker 1: with the running backs, with the with the receivers, and
- 31:29Speaker 1: you can see in the last two or three games
- 31:31Speaker 1: he hasn't really turned the ball over and that's allowing
- 31:33Speaker 1: us to be in position to win. All right. Also
- 31:35Speaker 1: a comeback for your buck eyes because we found out
- 31:37Speaker 1: on Sunday after the Michigan loss, they have new life
- 31:40Speaker 1: as well, and they are in the playoff. What would
- 31:43Speaker 1: it take for the buck Eyes to complete that comeback
- 31:47Speaker 1: and win this thing after we saw after what we
- 31:50Speaker 1: saw Thanksgiving weekends, I think the biggest thing for the
- 31:53Speaker 1: for the buck Eyes to win this game is too
- 31:56Speaker 1: just be effective on defense. One of the biggest things
- 31:59Speaker 1: that we had a problem with the last few years
- 32:01Speaker 1: is our defense hasn't been where it needs to be.
- 32:04Speaker 1: And going into the Michigan game, our defense has been
- 32:07Speaker 1: very consistent and they had a bad game that game
- 32:10Speaker 1: and that's why we end unfortunately losing. But if we
- 32:13Speaker 1: are silent on defense, I think we have a solid
- 32:15Speaker 1: chance because our offense is dynamic. Even with Jackson Smith
- 32:18Speaker 1: and Jay Claimington the NFL this whole season, we've still
- 32:22Speaker 1: been a top five offense the whole year. So if
- 32:25Speaker 1: our defense can play like they've been playing all year,
- 32:27Speaker 1: we have the offense to beat every team in the
- 32:29Speaker 1: college playoffs. And they get that second chance here when
- 32:32Speaker 1: they made the playoff and they were one of the
- 32:35Speaker 1: final four. On Sunday, before we let you go, Ryan
- 32:37Speaker 1: Shay's here, Our director, Fred Johnson is a huge Steelers
- 32:41Speaker 1: fan and he wanted to put this picture on the screen.
- 32:44Speaker 1: That is you with his son, also a big Steelers fan, Freddie.
- 32:48Speaker 1: This is at a game a couple of years ago.
- 32:50Speaker 1: You got to meet Freddie, so we wanted to put
- 32:53Speaker 1: this on the screen then say how much that meant
- 32:55Speaker 1: to Freddie that he got to meet you that day.
- 32:58Speaker 1: Thank you so much. Is it was a great time
- 33:00Speaker 1: and looking at that stadium, that little that was at
- 33:01Speaker 1: San France, and uh, I definitely remember that moment, so
- 33:05Speaker 1: a lot, uh, thank you guy for me in still
- 33:07Speaker 1: of fans in this uh this being supportive of me.
- 33:11Speaker 1: Ryan Shase here, it's great to see it. Don't call
- 33:13Speaker 1: it a comeback with Dave Damashek the new podcast, new
- 33:17Speaker 1: episode drops every Thursday. Good look to your buck, guys,
- 33:20Speaker 1: Good look to you, sir. Thank you so much. Ryan
- 33:22Speaker 1: Shays here, everybody, alright, time for one more thing before
- 33:25Speaker 1: we go with Judy Batista going first. Well, obviously we're
- 33:28Speaker 1: going to be talking a lot about Frock Purty probably
- 33:31Speaker 1: this weekend, many many weeks if Kyle Shanahan as accurate
- 33:34Speaker 1: with the injury report, which is good because I want
- 33:37Speaker 1: more tweets from Carry Purdy, Big Bird Purty. That's Brock's mom.
- 33:41Speaker 1: This was adorable. Proud of you to you next week.
- 33:45Speaker 1: Love mom and Dad. I love that she signs the tweets.
- 33:48Speaker 1: I want more of Harry Purdy. Yeah, we want more
- 33:51Speaker 1: as well. And more is gonna be Tom Brady this week.
- 33:53Speaker 1: James Palmer. One more thing, well, thank you, Andrew. Congratulations
- 33:57Speaker 1: to Christian Kirksey of the Houston Texans being there, Walter
- 34:00Speaker 1: Payton Man of the Year nominee, my Man, Drew Doherty
- 34:03Speaker 1: through this out. When Kirky was recognizing and thanking everybody,
- 34:06Speaker 1: gave a shout out to her own. Rhet Lewis's sister,
- 34:08Speaker 1: Morgan Kleine Schmidt, who does unbelievable work with the Houston
- 34:12Speaker 1: Texans players off the field, saw her last Sunday. She
- 34:15Speaker 1: is a great person and amazing at what she does
- 34:18Speaker 1: helping all those Houston Texans players be active in the community.
- 34:21Speaker 1: Congratulated her and everybody who was nominated. Morgan absolutely getting
- 34:25Speaker 1: some love there. Love, meet some Christian Kirksey as well.
- 34:27Speaker 1: Great stuff at the community in Cleveland and Incus Fucky Brooks.
- 34:30Speaker 1: One board thing. When you look at the Vegas Raiders
- 34:33Speaker 1: on Thursday night, I want you to think about Josh
- 34:35Speaker 1: McDaniels using a simple adage, it's about players, not plays.
- 34:39Speaker 1: Josh Jacobs and Davante Adams account for sixty of the
- 34:43Speaker 1: Raiders scrimmage jars. Josh Jacobs is the leader Russia, Davante
- 34:48Speaker 1: Adams is the top five. So rather than worry about
- 34:50Speaker 1: all of these players and get everyone involved, No, the
- 34:52Speaker 1: ball goes to the best players and you win games.
- 34:55Speaker 1: Josh mcganny just kind of feeded out. In base it's
- 34:57Speaker 1: about players and coaches as well. Congratulations Bucky Brooks to
- 35:01Speaker 1: your Granada Hills Charter football team which won the city title,
- 35:06Speaker 1: now moving on to get the semis this week. God
- 35:11Speaker 1: Buddha Beach going for a state title. Go Highlanders and
- 35:14Speaker 1: coach Bucky Brooks, Let's Go Buck. NFL Now is a
