Sorry, getting used to the whole video podcasting of it all. yeah, we've made it. We made it to another Monday. did we haven't really I don't know, we're not very good at life updates or anything. I mean there's not a lot. you're settling into teaching. Yeah. I still I still wake up at five and I'm like, this is not I love teaching. I don't like the hours. Yeah. So it's a rough one. But yeah. Nope. Teaching in a new district. I'm loving it. Move. You wouldn't have to leave. I'd still get up early. Not that early. I'd still like to be at work by like six forty. So I'd have to get up at like 5 45. Yeah. But yeah, if we would move. Morgan doesn't Morgan doesn't listen to this, so it's not like we can hint hint at anything. I know. So lame. Any life updates for you? No. Okay. then I'm still trying to convince Nick to get a dog. And I don't know why. I don't know why either. because they're cute. You hate them. I don't hate the hate's a strong word. I I have mixed feelings. I know. I'm I'm all over the place. But they're so dang cute. Which one do you want? The one I've been looking at, it's like a black and white. Hang on, let me see if I can find it. It's a black and white golden golden mountain doodle. That thing's gonna have so much energy when I know. But look at her. I mean I see. But they're gonna be pretty big too. Yeah. Which Nick was like, well, I would I want a big dog. I was like, okay. Here you go. I wouldn't win another male. No, that's a big that's a big yeah. That's a big thing. Anyway, that's not gonna happen apparently, so well, I'll just I booked our dining reservation. yes. Yeah. Sixty days out? It's yesterday. Today? It was yesterday. yesterday, okay. Yesterday and the one place I wanted was packed. Really? I'm gonna tell you what it is, because the only unless you wanna go at seven fifteen as a surprise. Seven fifteen on your birthday is the only time they had available. But we're going to the party. No, you're the morning of seven. I said the morning, didn't I? You did. I don't know. I don't care. Wait, so then that means we c we can't go to I just didn't want to get up at seven fifteen. Spyglass? Spy glass grill. Well we could go Saturday for that. But okay. I don't care. It's so early. Wait, so what time is it right now? The reservation that I booked because I was like, this is the only time available was seven fifteen AM. Okay. On the twenty third. Okay. I mean It's not like we're I know. But it's gonna be something else for that day too, just in case. Okay. I just have to decide. Okay. Right. We're not gonna be up late. And then the jock Lindsay's doesn't have a thing like I was telling you about, they don't have a reservation. So we'll just have to try and go to that and then Gideon's. So yeah. But did that. That's exciting. We're sixty days out. That's crazy. well unless let's g I guess let's get into our News. Let's see. Halloween has officially kicked off at Disneyland on August twenty first, which is Okay. It was Friday. My brain. Disneyland. Yeah, Disneyland. Is that the first party? Yeah. The Oogie Boogie Bash. Disney World. Yeah. No. So yeah. Epcot Food and Wine Festival dropped their menus. I don't we're not If you wanna know, look it up because we're not that we don't care that much about FCOT. Disney Plus had a busy week. Sophia the first Royal Magic premiered, which that's the new one. Okay. So is that the one where she's like getting the princess's help? Yes, I think so. Okay. Disney World Be Builders, a feature length documentary about Disney imagineering and storytelling, premiered on the twentieth. I think we watched the trailer for that. And then a Lego Disney Princess Magical Mayhem premiered on the 21st. Yes, it was super cute. We watched it. We loved it a lot. Like yes, it was so adorable. I was like, they have a very good understanding of both Lego and Disney. And I'm here for it. And then we watched I didn't realize I knew there was a frozen one. Mm-hmm. And I didn't, but I didn't realize there were like two other villains one. And a I didn't. I can't remember the name of the other one, Princess Something. I didn't realize any that. They're really cute. some other Disney news that Chad didn't tell me about, and I saw it on the Book of Faces, is Caribbean Beach is officially on the list for that check in luggage to your flight thing. Heck yeah. So it's all the values, and then they're starting to slowly put in some moderates. Okay. So yeah, we won't have to the right resort. We can, you know. Nice. Yeah. Even though like I wasn't planning to check a bag. Right. Because we're just going for two nights. Yeah. But it would be nice. I don't know, that can be a game time decision, like what our plan is for that Saturday. I think I still probably will. Cause then we don't even have to worry about going back to the resort. Right. Yeah. If we don't want to. Right. So if we're somewhere else. Yeah. Mm-hmm. Yeah. But that's about it. That's about it for me. And we don't even really have any other like there's not a whole lot to talk about tripwise because it's not like we have lightning lanes to strategize about. Yeah. I guess I could have made us a beacon barrel. Okay, that was my question. Cause I figured they would be open. But I'm at I'm like, it's not gonna be different. If it was themed differently. Yeah. I would, but it's not gonna be rotated drinks or something. Right. We weren't the biggest I mean you drink their margarita. I would have like I said, that margarita. That's it. Margarita. That non alcoholic drink I had, I would have added a shot of rum to it. Mm-hmm. But I don't know. I feel like we have more important things to do. Yeah. Than beacon barrel. So that is like a one and done. Also, like, yeah. Or if they were doing something special for Halloween. Right. You know. Right. So which to my knowledge they aren't. Right. And I so yeah, we don't have a lot about the trip 'cause we're just going to the party. We're kind of just now getting our outfits together. We're gonna make a cute little I guess are we do you wanna do like a bag charm or like a phone charm with the bead, like the silicone beads that I got? Yeah. Probably bag charm. I was gonna get the black bag 'cause I feel like that'll match really well. Yeah. The same one that we have. That we got for the trip and then Yeah. And the bag charm would be fun. Okay. We're gonna make a bag charm at some point. And then we've well, I think we've talked about this, but we've got some like glitter or something. Yeah, I've got glitter, I've got a couple other accessories. already, okay. Yeah. So you didn't say anything to my ghost ears earrings. Or have you not thought about that? I don't know. I thought, I don't know, honestly. depending on when you said that, who knows? I don't remember if I've gotten earrings or not. Earrings are so tricky for me. I know. I I do have a couple other things that I'm excited about, but not the earrings. I I mean, I don't I we don't have to have earrings. I just thought they were cute. They were like little Mickey ghosts. Those. Nope. We do have earrings. Okay. We do, we do, we do, we do, we do. So And I d I feel like I don't normally get I wanted to get some earrings when we went for your batch party, but I was like, like I would at this point I'd probably have to change them every day because of our outfits are so different. And I was like, I'm just not gonna I had planned to change my earrings every day for the batch trip. And just earrings are not a thing that I'm so on top of just because of like I was allergic to I'm allergic to nickel and gold. And so It's just hard for me to wear earrings. Because everything's coated in nickel. And then my mom just assumed gold would be like the non allergic thing. Like 'cause most people aren't. When you say you're allergic to gold, people look at you like you're crazy. I'm like, I know, I understand. So I always had she always put fourteen karat gold in my ear and I would still always just take out in the middle of my sleep. So yeah. It's just not I forget about it, which I don't need to, but I mean Yeah. I think the thing I'm I think about it more because I'm like, well, like I have to have one in my like I have to have my first hole in because of the second hole. Like now it looks weird if I just have my second hole earring in. Okay. And yeah, anyway. So I think Girl props. I mean I did it to myself. But our shirts are coming and we're just gonna do a black skirt. Mm-hmm. Or depending on weatherings. Leggings. Yeah. And I think that's like it. You got the socks. Depending on whether or not I'm even gonna be wearing tennis shoes. I might not even wear the socks. I just thought they're cute. Yeah, they are cute. yeah. Our outfits are coming together. We're not gonna like dress matchy matchy any other part of the day except the party. Yeah. But yeah, party's not a big one. We're just kind of going and trying to ride what we can ride and see our shows. We do we can talk about that at some point. I need to relook at our schedule and we can do like a pre-trip. chat. scheduling. The scheduling of the shows because like it does make more sense to watch the parade not on Main Street, but like I want to see the headless horseman coming down Main Street. So we'll see. That that the spot we had when we went my gosh perfect and I didn't even realize it think about it. We just wanted to be close to the exit. Right. We were tired, but it was the best spot for the parade. Yeah. Yeah. And it wasn't crowded either. No. But we're gonna like that's also why I don't want to do the seven fifteen breakfast because like I want us to be able to sleep in and relax. I don't think I'm gonna be able to sleep in though. You'll be able to sleep till seven. 'Cause think about it. If we get there, we'll get to our resort by four. We'll get to Caribbean Beach by four. We can go to Disney Springs around five. We'll do dinner. We'll walk around. We can pre shop. We can s you know, there'll be things for us to do. Mm-hmm. Yeah. You know. Right. Or low key. If it's not cold, bring a bathing suit and go to the pool. Yeah. So I don't know. I think Or just explore the resort a little bit. Yeah. We're we're on the Skyliner. We can go down to the boardwalk. We can go, you know, we've got options. So I think like we won't just be lazily doing anything Thursday night. No. Do we ever? No. No. We maximize our time. But we are not. We are late. We are having like a day on Friday because I think it like I really think this is our time to stay. at this party and try and just like wait it out and see what the vibes are. Because we're gonna ask for yeah, we're gonna ask for a late checkout. Yeah. As soon as we get there. And then you know. Well then we could always keep the early dining and then go back to sleep. Yeah. Just take a nap. I'm not good with naps anyway. I mean I'm not either but especially at Disney. I know. But like I don't know. But like also what else are we gonna be doing? Well, maybe not a nap, but just like a chill. Yeah. Like walk around. I could have gotten this reservation for like a ten thirty, eleven. I like, that'd be a perfect slow morning. We can get up, we can like make our coffee, we can, you know, go find coffee, then then we make our way to the place for brunch and then we can chill. There's things to do around the restaurant. Like it would have made more sense. Yeah. But well no. I'm sure but also maybe the time to Yeah, I'm gonna keep checking. Keep I'm gonna keep checking. So but it'll be fine. It'll all work out. But I really like I really want to stay at that party. Yeah. Late. I mean I'm down to stay at the party. Okay. Also, we had three other park no two other park rooms when we wanted to stay late. Right. I think we'll be fine. We'll be fine. I'm just trying, yeah. We'll be fine. We'll fine. Okay. Real valley updates. there's really not many. the parts festival started this yeah. Last Wednesday. I play I didn't go to the floating festival thingy. I did not mess myself up. I know you were dying to. I was. I think everybody else was also. I was so happy. yeah, the first I think two unlocked and then it's gonna be two, two, and two. so this week two more will unlock and yeah. But they were really easy, quick, you know. I haven't gotten It's very cute. Like the area they did a good job. I always go and see it. Yeah. But this one is like less overwhelming too. Okay. Yeah. It's like if I play, I'll see. I didn't I don't there's a lot. Yeah, don't have that much time to play. I'm not liking the Star Pass duties this time around. Like the main ones? Yeah. Like I've had to do two dream snaps. They do the dream snaps. I don't think they've done more than one. I don't know. Maybe not. I know. I I finished on the long time. They I feel like they were just so quick to to get through. But maybe it's because I focused focused on them like really intensely for a few days. Mm-hmm. But and now I'm just having to like remember to go in and do the routine. Routine duties. Yeah. Yeah. But we still have like twenty-eight days, I think, on that is when my so Yeah. Yeah. I know I need to get it get it done. I've been doing I've been completing them all. But maybe this weekend, I don't think I have anything to do this weekend. Maybe I can just sit down. Mm-hmm. Do nothing. But we'll see. yeah the the did you get a look at the shop? The premium shop? Yeah. So expensive. It's it's expensive and it's not what I was expecting, really. Like I do like the bundle and I'll probably get it because it has the like it has Hannah Montana's like spinning wardrobe and it's got the automatic shoe like I don't know how to say it. That thing she had in her closet. That's cool. And it had a bunch of other stuff in it, like a a heel-shaped chair and stuff. But like, I don't know, it I feel like it didn't have a ton of Lizzie McGuire stuff. Yeah, it was definitely more Hanamon feeling. So I was kinda bummed about that. But yeah, a lot of it's just like, okay, well, I'm getting six hundred dollar or six hundred moonstones on my Dream snaps like max per week. So this is not gonna cut it. No, I know. They just want you to buy the moonstones. Which is annoying. maybe with this new update they'll give us not the update with the DLC, they usually give you an option to buy like DLC plus moonstones. When you bought some moonstones when you bought that little bear, right? The bear companion. Not a lot though. It's like eight hundred. Yeah. And it was like What, two ninety nine? Yeah. I actually haven't walked around with him, so I kind of forget about him. Because I don't like the way like I wish all the special companions were up at the top. So like you know how like those are the character companions. I get how they've organized it. But then there's like those special ones that aren't a character, like that bear, and there's like a couple other ones. The ones that are you have to buy or that are with the regular companions. And I'm like, no, the regular companions should just be the ones we have to feed. Correct. And then we sh you know, but I agree. That's how my brain works. So yeah. I did forget a little bit of Disney News because it wasn't in my thing, but I did bring it up. We have Disney and NFL did a drop today of like shirts or like each team has like that's the Chicago Bears and that's blue. I don't know. So I was gonna Click through these real quick. The Rams and Sully. Nice. I feel about that. the Eagles and Doctor Doom. Okay. Let's see. We've got the Packers and Chewbacca. I kind of love that. Well, so today's main part of our episode is I've been seeing a bunch of stuff because I still follow Texas State on Instagram. Mm-hmm. about roommates and everybody moving in to their dorms. So and if you didn't know, Lindy and I were roommates. We were twice upon a time, I guess. Survive. We survived. So we're gonna do like the your Your top five visit with roommates. I think it was three times. Well, I was thinking in college and then when y'all lived with us during COVID. I see. Okay. No, we lived together for three years in college. Yeah. Yeah. All three years. You were there. I was there before. Right. but yeah. Fun times. Fun times. I'm still like I think I told you we we specifically made plans to go to a ranger game the Sunday that y'all are gonna be in Austin. Why? So we wouldn't go. okay. I want to go so bad. And I'm like, we can't go. We don't need to go. We need to save our money. And yeah, I told Morgan I was like, can we go to Sam Marcus on Sunday? And I felt like I feel like it would be a good weekend to go because it's gonna be hot. Well yeah, but like a lot of people leave still probably for well holiday weekend. And I don't know how many Texas State students will get to go to that game. I don't know. Yeah. I don't know how they're like that's our tickets were expensive. And I mean, you don't expect college students Right. I don't know. So what student a student ticket though, I would think they would it would be like across the board. Texas does something weird with their tickets though. I remember Audrey telling me all that. Okay. And Morgan didn't even bother with he like, I just put my money, I went to every game. Cause that's Morgan. But Audrey was like, There was like ticket pulls and like layers for Texas student tickets. I don't know what the guest team looks like. Well, yeah. So I don't know. Probably pretty hard to get in. I don't know. But It's gonna be a good game. I have bought a couple things. Tank tops. I don't have tank tops because like it's gonna be hot to see what I can wear. but yeah, we were roomies. Yep. Yep. So we're gonna I just thought it was like the time since yeah. If there's any college people listening, I don't think so. I think our demographic is like the elder millennials. in the younger jazz. You gotta do that to us. Because. the g dem it tells me the demographic, okay? All right. So let's start with our top our five worst roommates okay five worst roommates and are you going we're going you said you didn't do an order. I didn't. So we don't have to do an order. We're just gonna let's just do let's just do one for one. Okay. And then go from there. And you can start. I feel like we're gonna have at least some of well maybe not because I'm gonna say then you're gonna be like I don't know. It's okay. I have You didn't write your I didn't write mine down. Mine are in my head. But I didn't write them down. Okay. all right. My first one and would probably be my worst one if I did bring them is Vanelope. Because You also said you based yours a lot on Dreamlight Valley. I did, but like even still? I mean the character like her character is just kind of annoying. True. All around. True. So yeah, yeah. She's just squeaky and I would agree. I would agree. I didn't put her on my list in my head. the first one that came to my mind though was Sebastian. Cause he's anarch. Mm. You know? Like I don't need him going back and telling my business to anybody. Yep. You know? Because there like he also like he'd be the bus kill. Right. Right. Right. I don't want him as a roommate. Like, come on, bro. Chill out. I don't know. That's a good one. Yeah. next I have Stitch. He's on my list. Yeah. He's a hot mess. He would destroy the place. And then play pranks on you. Like, I mean it's not Steal your stuff. Yep. Yep. Leave fur everywhere. Yep. Yep. Are you talking about stitch the character or stitch your old dog? I mean both. Well, the one the dre or the honeyglow quest that we did. I can't remember which one. I haven't he like leaving blue fur. yeah. So I don't know. Yeah. Not for me. So yeah, he's I guess stitch. Snow White would open the door for strangers. And we don't need that in college. I don't know. She just kind of annoys me too. Like her voice just gets annoying and it is true. She like summons all the critters so there'd be like critters all over the place. I didn't think of her, but I was thinking of the seven dwarves. And then I was like, can I say that? Because there's seven of them, but I feel like they're one character. Mm-hmm. But then if I had to pick one, I'd go buzzkill again and I'd just say grumpy. Grumpy. Mm-hmm. but I think all of them as a whole. Yeah. Like they would just feel like I have to take care of them. Right. Be a lot. Yeah. So they're not it's be their mom. Yeah. It's not what I want for a roommate. Okay, my last one is Peter Pan. Cause he's childish and annoying. But sometimes that could be fun. Sometimes you need that. Need to pull you out of your comfort zone. But I feel like that's a different kind of fun. Because okay, to your point about the dwarfs, like I w feel like I would have to mother him. Like Okay, that's fair. You know, that's fair. And be like, that is fair. Stop flying on the ceiling. I don't know. Hater. Okay. Okay. Okay. Who's your last one? I was thinking Baloo. Kinda for the same reason you had said Ralph. Mm-hmm. But like also like a lazy manipulative, you know? Like Ralph, he's gonna like pull his weight, but he's gonna drink all your stuff. Baloo's gonna just trick you into giving you all of your things. You know? So Yeah. I don't know. Like I he's a great character in Jungle Book, but I don't know if I'd want him as a roommate. You know? Okay. So it's pretty good. Yeah. Yeah. Especially coming up with it on the fly, basically. I mean I thought about it on the driveover. Okay today. So next we have these the top the pet best ones I've thought a little bit We've been planning this episode for a while. I yeah, it's been in the schedule for a minute. Yeah. Just because I kind of thought it was a good time for something like this. So I've kind of thought about the best for Yeah. I didn't write down, you know. But no, but I mean you Yeah. You have a pretty good idea of once I started thinking, I was like, This is gonna be hard. And once I started thinking, I was like, No, it's yeah, yeah. Okay. All right. Do you want to go first? You know? Yeah. I also thought about that. I was like, he's kind of a lot, but he's just so funny. Like I know. He would keep us laughing. I know, I know. Yeah. So I didn't I didn't go with him. But I did go with Elsa. Okay. Just for the magic part of it all, you know. And because, you know, we live in Texas. So if I could get some ice anywhere, that'd be nice. Okay. Also, like she understands isolation and I'm a little bit of an introvert, so if she can build me an ice castle she wouldn't give you a hard time about not going out. Yeah. Yeah. Fair. Okay, I have poker hunches. Okay. Is there a reason? That's just an odd one. Okay. She is very grounded. Okay. I was not thinking of typical college experience. because we didn't have that college experience. Which I'm perfectly fine with. she okay, also if if stuff goes down, she's gonna be able to live off the land. She can go hunt for me. Get that hunter-gatherer going. yeah. She'll know like like survivalist skills. my gosh. Wow. I just felt like that was a really good choice. Okay. Okay. Mm-hmm. Okay. I'm gonna go with Winnie the Pooh. Because he's Tedley. I don't know.
