- 0:07Now broadcasting from the Next Gen. conservative studio in
- 0:11sunny South Florida, bringing you the latest in politics,
- 0:15current events and pop culture. This is the Whitfield Report
- 0:20with Sam Whitfield. Hey there, folks.
- 0:30Welcome to the Monday edition of the Whitfield Report.
- 0:36I am your host, Sam Whitfield, recording here on a Monday
- 0:40afternoon with Mr. Blame Max Sand.
- 0:47It's not. It's not the same without, like
- 0:49you play the intro 1st and I get that.
- 0:52That killer fucking baseline. Yeah, no, but I mean, the
- 0:57audience will hear the intro because you know what?
- 1:01What? What I just missed out on it?
- 1:03Great. Yeah, wonderful.
- 1:07But anyway, welcome to the show. Real quick announcement, just
- 1:14some general housekeeping things.
- 1:17Next week there will be no show because I'll be vacationing on
- 1:23an. You know, to an undisclosed
- 1:26location, so I'll be gone next week and then the disclosed
- 1:32location in the Middle East as as I understand it.
- 1:35Yeah, go. Going to go fight some
- 1:37terrorists or some or something. Which side you choosing, Sammy?
- 1:43Gonna gonna go live out my You know this book made me fiction
- 1:48full IDF like head to toe with star David Flagg.
- 1:52May maybe. Maybe, you know, who are you?
- 1:56Are you going to rock that, that Palestinian look, that classic,
- 1:59like, black mask? I mean it is.
- 2:01Aesthetic, right? Well, you know what?
- 2:05What would What would John, What would John Ryder do?
- 2:09Huh. You've got to.
- 2:11You've got to read, probably. He'd probably like start taking
- 2:15out the Renegades of both sides to spend some real justice.
- 2:20Well, you've got to read Shadows of Deception to find out.
- 2:23So you know link in the description.
- 2:28There you go. And that's and that's how you
- 2:31plug, ladies and gentlemen. And that's how you plug.
- 2:33I spoiled it, too. He's a he's a renegade.
- 2:38He's going to do his own thing. No, no.
- 2:41What's what's worse, Max, is that you've spoiled book #2 like
- 2:45the book that hasn't even come out yet.
- 2:47You've. You've spoiled so, so Greg, he's
- 2:52a man of principles, right? And so he's going to want to end
- 2:55the war and but he understands the grim realities of life, so
- 2:59he's going to have to take out the warriest of the warlords of
- 3:04either side, you know? And he and he's also going to
- 3:08have to take on the military industrial complex, probably
- 3:12with some decently cool fucking vehicles along the way.
- 3:16Yeah, yeah, yeah. If not Sam, you better add some
- 3:20cool vehicles, because what kind of spy doesn't have cool
- 3:24vehicles? Well, at well, have you read the
- 3:27have? You can live without gadgets,
- 3:29right? Gadgets might even just be a
- 3:31Bond thing, right? But you got to have the cool
- 3:34vehicles and like the the exotic hot women.
- 3:38Have you read the? Have you read the?
- 3:40Have you read the first one? Yeah, but I'm trying not to
- 3:43spoil anything. Yeah, no, you know.
- 3:48Apparently some of the gearheads in the show have, like,
- 3:51criticized my use of like old convertibles, To which I say why
- 4:00it's fiction. Your criticism?
- 4:01Was there criticism of you being wrong about it?
- 4:04About something. Be oh be well, because the 1968
- 4:08GTO, there was no way it could have been bulletproof because of
- 4:13like. Making it bulletproof would have
- 4:15weighed the card down, and that's And they were pretty
- 4:17fucking heavy to be fair. But they're probably already,
- 4:22let's say, bullet resistant. Yeah, they could probably take a
- 4:27few before that steel hole that they have on them fucking caves
- 4:31in just naturally. It's it's, you know, it's
- 4:36fiction though, especially low caliber like you can get away
- 4:39with. Yeah, it's fiction.
- 4:40It's a fucking spy thing. You got to have something
- 4:43exciting. Yeah.
- 4:44What happened to To suspend your disbelief?
- 4:47We we can. And you went American car
- 4:49because you're not fucking British.
- 4:52Yeah, yeah, no. And because and because that
- 4:54trope because the British, the British super spy trope has.
- 4:59Already been overdone, but nobody has really done the
- 5:02American super spy trope. Especially like America.
- 5:07You know, like the fucking American muscle car.
- 5:09Yeah, that's pretty. I mean especially in that time
- 5:13period. I mean John Wick kind of did it,
- 5:17but not like not to the not to the extent that like you know
- 5:24we've and I've done it basically.
- 5:28I want, I want Eagles shooting, firework, guns with American
- 5:33flags flapping in the breeze, American Pie, apple pie, warm as
- 5:39you fucking want, and some hot dogs and a baseball game going
- 5:43on. That's going to be where you're
- 5:45next, fucking where the whole thing ends, right?
- 5:47Yeah, pretty much, pretty much America.
- 5:50Fuck yeah. Because why not UN ironically,
- 5:54America? Fuck yeah.
- 5:55See, America? Fuck yeah.
- 5:57Was ironic, but I am UN ironically America.
- 6:01Fuck yeah. No, no.
- 6:02The thing of the thing of it is, is like, that was ironic.
- 6:05But yeah, like there are people who UN ironically.
- 6:09Yeah. Yeah.
- 6:11So anyway, so on to the communist computer gangster God
- 6:18that was prophesied. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 6:23So deck in the 50s in his schizophrenia, anyway.
- 6:27So, like, well, you know, look, everyone's been talking like the
- 6:31Middle East and you know, the part where the fucking communist
- 6:35computer government God thing in the sky, it it sorts people by
- 6:41their ethnicity. He even got that right.
- 6:45Yes, it's amazing, beautiful. It's poetic.
- 6:49We live in his nightmare. Yes.
- 6:53So, you know, we live in a world where Francis Edek's worst
- 6:58nightmare, induced by the worst bout of schizophrenia ever that
- 7:01he wrote about for years, is actually real.
- 7:06Well, well, what's funny, Max, is we'll we live.
- 7:09We now live in the dark future. Except we don't have any neon
- 7:12shit. Or do we have it's not cyberpunk
- 7:16because we don't have the punk part or the cyber.
- 7:19We just got the fucking bad parts.
- 7:22We just got the corporations that spy on everything in the in
- 7:26the shady government, in business for itself, in the like
- 7:30threat of world wars every which way you look.
- 7:34We got we got all that bit, but we don't.
- 7:36I don't have gorilla fucking arms and I don't have double
- 7:39jump legs and I don't get an implant.
- 7:42We don't have the style either. We got zoomers with them.
- 7:47Fucking fluffed up haircuts and shit.
- 7:50Awful. The worst cyberpunk dystopia
- 7:53ever? Yeah, we, yeah, we don't even
- 7:56have flying cars like that was that was the bare minimum was
- 8:00flying cars. The bare minimum among Boomers
- 8:03was like, I'd love to live in the Jetsons where we have flying
- 8:06cars and robots and it's like, well, we got the the, the the
- 8:10the robots are bad. They're like, they don't work
- 8:12properly and but the and the AI is stupid.
- 8:16But they've still managed to use it to brainwash the average
- 8:19idiot with their fucking DEI shit and put put the computer
- 8:27chip in your fucking thumb and all it is.
- 8:29It's a fucking GPS tracker. Gee, I wonder what that might be
- 8:32good for. Yeah, well, and.
- 8:34And it's not even anything useful.
- 8:36It's just AGPS tracker so they can fucking know where you're
- 8:39at. It's not, don't worry, it's not
- 8:41the government. This corporation knows where
- 8:43you're at. That's fine.
- 8:44Yeah, and also and TikTok knows when you take a shit.
- 8:47But that's fine. It's fine because we got what we
- 8:50got what and trade for this dystopia.
- 8:52We didn't even get cool clothes. See this?
- 8:58Stupid rubber fucking boots. I, I, I could future shit.
- 9:06We didn't get fucking cyberpunk shit.
- 9:08We didn't get anything cool. We didn't get Star Trek shit.
- 9:11We didn't even get Star Wars shit.
- 9:14See, see, Max isn't sad that we're that we're living in a
- 9:18dystopia. He's sad that we're not living
- 9:20in a cool dystopia. It's it's the least cool
- 9:23dystopia you could possibly imagine.
- 9:28We got. We got VR, But it makes me sick
- 9:31after about 15 minutes. You know what I mean?
- 9:33Like. Yeah, I do love.
- 9:36I do love it. I have it fucking right next to
- 9:38me. I play fucking the drums mostly
- 9:40on it. There's this Viking drum game
- 9:43and I sit there and wear myself out like a fucking maniac.
- 9:47It's a good workout thing for when it's fucking cold and shit,
- 9:51but like, yeah, we don't get anything cool and then Joe Biden
- 9:53wants to take over. Great.
- 9:55We're going to have the Grandpa Joey out.
- 9:57Yeah. So terrific segue because.
- 10:05And and real quick before we get into this article, ladies and
- 10:09gentlemen, he's going to make AI do the thing.
- 10:12You know the thing. I do want to point out that Max
- 10:16like actually, because see, we were we were talking out this
- 10:20before the show. Like a lot of people saw the
- 10:23clip of Max Hekagon Secret Agent Boomer, which is hilarious and
- 10:30should be viewed by everyone. But the part that everyone
- 10:33missed is the fact that or a lot.
- 10:37Or the thing that everyone glossed over was the fact that
- 10:39Max was saying that Boomers in Washington should not regulate
- 10:45this shit for this exact reason. And then he and then he got mad
- 10:50because I he said, well, this whatever topic, I think it was
- 10:54elections, he said was decided at the state level.
- 10:56And I was like, yeah, but look at the state.
- 10:59The state level is full of tech illiterate boomers.
- 11:01Not just boomers, period. OK, but tech illiterate or
- 11:05borderline tech illiterate boomers populate the halls of
- 11:09Washington and the halls of your State House and the halls of
- 11:13your town council. They are tech illiterate
- 11:15boomers. They do not know that their
- 11:17children and grandchildren are like, literally being fucking
- 11:21groomed into putting their nudes online by pedophiles that they
- 11:24met in Roblox. They don't know any of this
- 11:27fucking shit. They don't know how YouTube
- 11:29works. They don't know how YouTube
- 11:30censorship works. They they don't know how
- 11:31podcasts work. They don't know how the Internet
- 11:34works. They have Facebook where they
- 11:36post pictures of their fucking dog.
- 11:38Max, Max, you're you're giving them too much credit, OK?
- 11:42The the boomers in Washington, they don't even know how to use
- 11:46their smartphones. I kid you not.
- 11:50I'm I'm. That's why I'm not giving it
- 11:51credit. They literally have somebody
- 11:53else who posts on Twitter for them.
- 11:56They might say the thing that gets posted, they might tell oh
- 11:59hey, blah blah blah blah blah, but they're not even fucking
- 12:01doing their exes or their tweets or whatever the fuck you want to
- 12:04call. I'm still going to call it
- 12:05tweets forever. I've been on Twitter for 15
- 12:07years. They just give me my anniversary
- 12:09thing like, oh you've been on Twitter for 15 years.
- 12:11My response was like I reposted it with what a waste of time.
- 12:15They you can call it fucking X. You can call it fucking dog
- 12:19shit. It doesn't fucking matter.
- 12:20It's a tweet. And these people, they tweet by
- 12:23saying, hey, Zoomer staffer, you're my tweeter.
- 12:27Now say this. Or make a tweet that's funny or
- 12:31make a tweet that That's why they're all snarky now.
- 12:34No, that's what Democrats like. They like.
- 12:37They like mean spirited, snarky like AOC.
- 12:41Well, because. Well, because I think AOC tweets
- 12:45for herself. But AOC is not a fucking boomer.
- 12:47Well also I think. Here's The thing is I I think, I
- 12:52think they think that like, Oh well since Trump did it and it
- 12:55worked for him. Like if we do the exact same
- 12:58thing it'll work for us and now but, but but Trump has been in a
- 13:04different position than them because he's always had
- 13:06goodwill. It like he's like politicians
- 13:09inherently will split people 5050 about them like
- 13:13automatically off the gate like 40% of the population decides
- 13:16they don't like you because you're the other party.
- 13:18OK, but like Trump wasn't that Trump was an entertainer.
- 13:22He was a businessman. They all liked The fucking
- 13:25Apprentice. You can you can listen to all
- 13:27the shit that everyone talked, but they all tuned in live on
- 13:30Monday nights back in the early 2000s to watch The Apprentice.
- 13:33It was the number one rated fucking show almost the whole
- 13:36time. Yeah, no, no.
- 13:38And I and I and listen, I was no exception.
- 13:41I liked the the He wasn't even the entertaining part of the
- 13:45show, to be fair, but he was front and center through the
- 13:48whole thing. The entertaining part of the
- 13:50show is people trying to navigate these hoops.
- 13:52He's putting them through, but usually you could understand the
- 13:55nature of the hoops even. It was just kind of a stupid
- 13:58challenge for a reality show. It was a little bit different
- 14:00than Survivor, where Survivor was all themed on being a
- 14:03survivalist or whatever. It was like, hey, you need to
- 14:06convince people to buy this product on the spot and don't
- 14:10even know what the product is. And as A and as a kid like.
- 14:16Me watching that and a bunch of other people were like, wow,
- 14:19like starting a business is actually like really cool.
- 14:23Like Shark Tank. Shark Tank's still one of the
- 14:25top fucking rated shows in the world, right?
- 14:27Yeah, I it's a it's a fascination people have with the
- 14:31drama of a small or independent business.
- 14:34Unfortunately. The thing about that is, is
- 14:36people kind of speak with their wallets in a very different way
- 14:39and they all in the end and and we're all guilty of this, go to
- 14:43Walmart instead or you know, whatever's easiest rather than
- 14:48supporting small businesses because they cost a little more
- 14:51and they might not have the the thing you want right away or
- 14:55whatever. It's just easier not to, it's
- 14:58easier to order on Amazon or something.
- 15:00But we are all interested in the story, in the, in the drama, in
- 15:05the of the small business, and it makes for great television.
- 15:08Yeah, so getting back to the subject of AIII do want to bring
- 15:14this up. I I want to start off by saying,
- 15:18and I apologize to the regular listeners for repeating myself,
- 15:21but on the off chance that we have new listeners, I want to
- 15:25emphasize that AI is not going anywhere.
- 15:30It's not a fad. It's It's basically here to pan
- 15:33around. Yeah, it's not new either.
- 15:37We just recently this year had Kurt Doolittle, who's an expert
- 15:40in the field. And Speaking of, you know, we
- 15:42were saying I was talking about tech illiterate boomers.
- 15:44Well, Kurt's the exact opposite. He was involved with the
- 15:47creation of some of this stuff. Right.
- 15:50And he has a similar opinion to us on the topic, by the way, in
- 15:53terms of government regulation. So I'm not saying it's boomers
- 15:56are bad. That's not the rant.
- 15:58Max doesn't just hate boomers. There are some things besides
- 16:01technology. But I look to that that that as
- 16:04a generation they did that I'm not a big fan of and have had
- 16:08repercussions. But on the subject of tech, I'm
- 16:10specifically talking about the kind of people that go into tech
- 16:13or I'm sorry, go into politics or or into into the media at
- 16:19that time didn't need to be super tech literate and now
- 16:22they're just fucking basically tech illiterate.
- 16:25Right. Long ago, you didn't need a
- 16:27fucking cell phone. I lived in a fucking cell phone
- 16:29free life right up until I had my son and I was happy and I was
- 16:34fine. You don't need to be plugged in
- 16:37all the time, but but now it feels like it's been forever, so
- 16:40that we all are. And people that that's so new in
- 16:45the span of their seventy year life.
- 16:48And you also don't have a lot of other things in common with
- 16:51them, just so you know in terms of how you live your life
- 16:53because they're that old. So.
- 16:57But they don't know technology. There's boomers that built this
- 17:00fucking technology. That's why I bring up Kurt
- 17:02Doolittle. We could have him on.
- 17:03He can explain how AI works in exhaustive detail to you because
- 17:07he knows he's shit. It's not all boomers, but the
- 17:10people that don't know it. Like, I don't know, maybe out of
- 17:12the blue, like let's just throw a name out there.
- 17:14Joe Biden now on a Nationalize it, essentially.
- 17:20Well, let's let's break down this headline, shall we?
- 17:23So this comes from variety of all places.
- 17:27Even variety, like because that's where you get proper news
- 17:30now. Well, I I'm entertainment.
- 17:35Websites like even, even even Variety knows that this is kind
- 17:39of that something's mishear. So headline Joe Biden Grew more
- 17:46worried about AI after watching Mission Impossible dead
- 17:50reckoning, says White House Deputy.
- 17:54And that this is 1st. We have a lot of fucking
- 17:58problems going on. Why the fuck is he watching any
- 18:00movies at all? Sorry.
- 18:03Not sorry he had. He had a big fucking and and
- 18:05people don't even know this the other day, like like a couple
- 18:08weeks ago they had a big Sunday BBQ right when the fucking
- 18:11terror attacks had broken out. Yeah, they had a band.
- 18:15They had a band on the White House lawn and the IT was an end
- 18:18of summer BBQ for Joe and he had plenty of vanilla ice cream,
- 18:22ladies and gentlemen, just so you all know and you're aware.
- 18:25But yeah, yeah, no, he saw a movie and then decided that he
- 18:28was scared of AI. Well, did you ever see
- 18:30Terminator? Yeah, well well, this is the
- 18:33whole thing. Matrix.
- 18:36Yeah, So President Joe Biden signed an executive order on
- 18:41Monday establishing new standards and security measures
- 18:44regarding sorry, sorry. Regarding artificial
- 18:48intelligence, Deputy. The White House chief of staff,
- 18:53Bruce Reed told the AP by a time that AI is an issue of great
- 19:00importance to the president, who was, quote UN quote, impressed
- 19:05and alarmed after seeing fake AI images of himself and learning
- 19:10about hold up, hold up how much you want to bet what he saw was
- 19:16the president's Let's Play video games channel that they got
- 19:19where him and Donald Trump play video games together.
- 19:23How much you want to bet? That's what they showed him.
- 19:26Oh, yeah. Oh yeah.
- 19:27The the GTA, you know, thing where he and Obama and Trump all
- 19:31like, rob a bank together or something.
- 19:33Yeah, great. It's, it's hilarious.
- 19:36It's and it's actually kind of wholesome.
- 19:40Like they're buddies, you know, and they tease each other
- 19:42straight. But that's like if if, if they
- 19:45showed him anything, I feel like they would have showed him one
- 19:48of those clips, right? And then, like, we have to stop
- 19:52this, Sir. Well, that's the whole thing,
- 19:55right? Is so we can't have a generation
- 20:00of kids thinking you were playing GTA5 with Obama and
- 20:03Trump? So I don't want to.
- 20:06I'm not going to raid this whole thing.
- 20:08But essentially, what happened? Well, that might be a disaster
- 20:11somehow for the country. If kids think you played GTA
- 20:16with Obama and Trump on a fucking Let's Play channel, it's
- 20:20the worst thing in the world. It's not like we got wars
- 20:23breaking out. It's not like we're funding wars
- 20:25all over the place. It's not like we're starving and
- 20:28poor. It's not like there's fucking
- 20:31homeless veterans. It's not like the fighting.
- 20:35Nah, Nah, we got to worry about the President's play GTA on
- 20:39fucking YouTube. Great job and fucking Mission
- 20:43Impossible. Great job Joe.
- 20:45I mean we. I mean Max, we can laugh, but
- 20:48this is this is basically like the this.
- 20:51Palace. What else is there to do but
- 20:53laugh? I know, right?
- 20:56But what? What they got Distinctive?
- 20:59Things Joe. Glad that this.
- 21:01Man. And they're like, Mr. President,
- 21:03we have something really important to show you, and it's
- 21:06him playing fucking GTA with Trump and making jokes at each
- 21:10other. And he's like.
- 21:13We need to nationalize AI. No.
- 21:17And welcome. To the machine and that is that
- 21:21is how to. Get our communist computer
- 21:23gangster God that Francis E Deck prophesied.
- 21:26And so if that's the case, then he's a prophet and I'm going to,
- 21:30I'm going to start taking what he said a lot more seriously and
- 21:33that is that is exactly what is going on, so.
- 21:37Basically beat up on a flight out of fucking New York airport
- 21:41and dragged off in the woods. Maybe that?
- 21:43Happened. I don't know anymore.
- 21:46So basically, Obama. I mean Biden.
- 21:51Sorry, I I I tend to conflate Obama and Biden together now.
- 21:57I wonder why. Yeah, yeah.
- 22:00So basically, you know what? Fuck it.
- 22:04Oh, Biden. Let's just, let's just put the
- 22:06let's just, let's just make it easy.
- 22:08Oh, Biden basically signed an executive order, which basically
- 22:16he wants to watermark AI or he wants to basically like put a
- 22:21label on anything that is created with with AI.
- 22:25Which may sound good, but here's the problem is even the most
- 22:35mundane thing that is, hey, it's an egregious First Amendment
- 22:40violation, first and foremost. Ah, but that's the problem is
- 22:46they let them fucking label video games and movies and
- 22:50albums, yeah. Yeah, it's almost like you mean
- 22:55well. It's almost like the road to
- 22:57hell is paved with good intentions.
- 23:01Yeah, but no. If.
- 23:03Here's the thing, If you're going to label things with AI,
- 23:07then basically like every paper that I've ever written is now
- 23:13going to be labeled as like created with AI because the.
- 23:18Sam's a Cyborg, ladies and gentlemen in the news once we
- 23:22got that in the New World. Sam Whitfield is a Cyborg, so we
- 23:27have a cyberpunk dystopia. Well, no think, think this way,
- 23:30Max. So the way I.
- 23:32Cyborg intelligence. That's amazing the way I the way
- 23:36I've always written papers using voice, using voice.
- 23:41Voice to voice to text. Sorry, yeah.
- 23:44Voice to voice to text, that is, it's not AI in the in the way
- 23:49that we generally think of it, but it is it.
- 23:51Is AI in the way we normally think of it?
- 23:53That's the thing. Is AI than the way we normally
- 23:55think of it. Isn't this magical, omnipotent
- 23:59being like the Terminator. That's that's not what ChatGPT
- 24:03is or ever could be, right? Yeah.
- 24:08But no, I I mean I speak into. Explain that to a boomer well.
- 24:13Joe Biden. Joe Biden's worst.
- 24:14Joe Biden's not a Boomer. You know this.
- 24:16He's a Silent Generation guy. Yeah.
- 24:19No, no that that's that's true. At least at least Trump is like
- 24:24the bare minimum of, like, the oldest tier of Boomer.
- 24:28Yeah, I'm saying, but like, still, it's all boomers doing
- 24:31the regulation. From the top on down.
- 24:33There's only a few people who are like Gen.
- 24:36X, basically didn't didn't get invested in politics.
- 24:39There's not as many. Nearly Gen.
- 24:41X politicians in in these offices, even in your local
- 24:44vicinity you might see a few more but in the national scene
- 24:48they're almost non existent and and like millennials are now
- 24:51just coming of age to get into politics.
- 24:54And the the the oldest millennials have only been old
- 24:57enough to run for president for like a year and a half.
- 25:00And they're and they're not. And they're not really
- 25:02interested in running either. Vivek is the first millennial to
- 25:06run for president under a major party.
- 25:09Yeah. And and they're and they're
- 25:10really not interested in general.
- 25:13That's not true. That's not true at all.
- 25:16Millennials. Now, that's not true.
- 25:19They are. They are interested, but they're
- 25:21they're older, they're not activists.
- 25:24It's different. They vote.
- 25:26They vote in larger numbers than Gen.
- 25:28X and the boomers did. And that's true.
- 25:31The next election Millennials are the the the majority voting
- 25:36bloc. Rumor's last election as the
- 25:40majority voting bloc was last 2020.
- 25:43I I'm not saying I wasn't saying that, that they're not
- 25:46interested in voting. I'm saying that they that, to me
- 25:50at least, it doesn't seem like millennials are interested in in
- 25:52running for. For I would.
- 25:54I would strongly disagree. I I would say that most of this
- 25:57Trump movement is on the back of millennials.
- 26:02OK, Well, yeah, that that, that is.
- 26:04Hmm, yeah, actually you're right.
- 26:07Now I think about it because. Yeah, yeah, that's the big
- 26:11right. I Max has never been more right
- 26:14about anything. The Trump brand of the GOP is
- 26:18the millennial brand of conservatism.
- 26:20And you will always be that. And we're going to be the we're
- 26:23going to be the majority for a long time, at least until Gen.
- 26:26Alpha. We'll see.
- 26:28We'll see then. Like like the Zoomers, both Gen.
- 26:31X and the Zoomers have significantly less people than
- 26:34us. And significantly less people
- 26:36active in in voting now zoomers, you expect more of them will end
- 26:39up voting and less of them will be activists as they get older
- 26:42because that's what always happens.
- 26:44But they they we still outnumber them significantly.
- 26:48So like yeah, millennials are going to be a force in politics
- 26:51and for good and for bad because that means the left too.
- 26:55This new brand of more radicalized leftism is a little
- 26:59bit. Yeah, it's a millennial brand of
- 27:00it. Sure.
- 27:01It's a counter. Acting, I guess, to the to the
- 27:04Trump brand of conservatism. But that's going to be the
- 27:07fucking battlefield going forward.
- 27:09And I've said this since the beginning, and it was destined
- 27:11to happen. If it wasn't Trump, it was going
- 27:13to be somebody else. Because Rush Limbaugh didn't
- 27:15have 30 fucking million people listening to him every day for
- 27:18no reason. And he wasn't really represented
- 27:21by the Bushes because he said so.
- 27:23He made more money during the Bush administration than he did
- 27:26during the Obama administration. Criticizing the Bushes.
- 27:30He had more listeners at that point.
- 27:32Because people were fed up. So I don't, I don't know,
- 27:37there's a lot going on. And and yeah, millennials have
- 27:40been affected by a lot of political incidents, more than
- 27:43other generations. We had 911, We had the war.
- 27:46We had the recession. It's it's interesting.
- 27:48It's interesting. That the election of Obama,
- 27:50which was a big deal and primarily was on the backs of
- 27:53millennials as well, for better or for worse.
- 27:55Yeah. It's also interesting Sting that
- 27:58you bring up Rush because like a lot of millennials, and I'm I'm
- 28:04one of them, there was there was a whole generation of kids known
- 28:09as Rush babies. I I was one of them because I
- 28:13grew up listening to Rush. It's like 2 generations.
- 28:18Because I I grew up listening to Rush with my granddad in the
- 28:2190s, listening to him talk about the fucking deficit.
- 28:25And and I'll tell you, the deficit he was complaining about
- 28:27then was a lot smaller than it is now, right?
- 28:32I think we should bring back the fucking dollar bill.
- 28:34Deficit ribbons. That'd be fun.
- 28:36Well, it's. Always for inflation.
- 28:38Now instead of the deficit, a dollar inflate an inflation
- 28:42ribbon you wear just to keep people aware.
- 28:44Cause goes by and flake it couldn't have bitch.
- 28:46It's cumulative. Well, also though, that this
- 28:50brings up, this brings up a good point.
- 28:52We we So we want to talk. Like if you cut it in half, it
- 28:55goes down. That just means it went up by a
- 28:57little less, you fucking moron. Yeah.
- 29:02So, no, it's interesting that you bring up the 90s because one
- 29:09of the things that that has been brought to, one of the things
- 29:15that Rush actually mentioned was that back in the late 80s, there
- 29:20were a lot of, there were a lot of Democrats that wanted to
- 29:25nationalize the personal computing industry, just like a
- 29:29lot of them want to nationalize AI because.
- 29:32They wanted IBMIBM had to play ball, yeah.
- 29:37Like to a degree that people don't even understand IBM in
- 29:40order to not yet nationalize, basically had to nationalize
- 29:43themselves. And that is why IBM is not the
- 29:47powerhouse that it used to be in the 80s.
- 29:50Or in in before, right in in the mod, because they were shackled
- 29:54at that point. But then.
- 29:56They didn't get the they they didn't nationalize the computing
- 29:58industry, right? So then the competitors who
- 30:01popped up all these like cheaper manufacturers like HP, Dell, so
- 30:05on. They could use the Windows
- 30:07operating system and sell way cheaper than IBM we're using
- 30:10because they agreed to only use proprietary parts and only blah
- 30:14blah blah blah blah for American, made American this,
- 30:17American that. All these other companies
- 30:18weren't fucking handcuffed down by that and they just drove IBM
- 30:22into the dirt. The only thing IBM does now is
- 30:24super computing. Well, no.
- 30:26You you want to know? What's funny is I I was reading
- 30:29that. And like theoretical shit, but
- 30:32they don't make product. Like when's the last time you
- 30:34bought an IBM product? You probably never have.
- 30:40I never have. Like like like like.
- 30:42I I know that my. I know that like, back in the,
- 30:46like, right before I was born. I know that.
- 30:48I know that my mom had like, an MS-DOS machine, like in her Home
- 30:52Office. But that was like in 1990.
- 30:56That was like in 1993. And she had, she had a, she had
- 31:01like a Windows computer, like at our office.
- 31:03But like having a having a gooey or a graphical user interface
- 31:08like that was like a luxury thing like, you know?
- 31:11That but you could get one cheaper at a very quick pace.
- 31:15They the prices because even even IBM compatible still had to
- 31:20follow the IBM. Deals that they made with the
- 31:23government did you like so like Tandy the the RadioShack one
- 31:27they they still had to adhere to the same rules because they were
- 31:30making IBM compatible products and IBM compatible products got
- 31:35beat the fuck out by Microsoft and OEMs like Hewlett Packard
- 31:40Dell I'm I'm trying to think of some of the other old old school
- 31:45ones but they just they just wiped the floor with them yeah.
- 31:49And that was because they got handcuffed down by this
- 31:51government regulation that was done in the same spirit.
- 31:53Just, I'm glad you brought it up like that, because it was done
- 31:55in the same spirit of these computer.
- 31:58This computer industry is going to wreak havoc in our culture.
- 32:02So we have to regulate them all. And IBM was like, OK, we can
- 32:06operate under these guidelines. And then all the other
- 32:10competitors who came along later were like, well, they're not
- 32:12going to nationalize us. Why would we follow your stupid
- 32:15fucking guidelines? We can.
- 32:17We can make more money than you, right?
- 32:19You're our bitch now. And they're going to do the
- 32:22exact same thing with AI. Yeah, well, they're.
- 32:24Going to ensure that one corporate mega over corporation
- 32:29runs all the AI. Yeah, and which which ironically
- 32:35Max. OK, so I haven't seen it.
- 32:37They're not. Going to be an American?
- 32:38They're ensuring it won't be an American one either.
- 32:41Well, also Max, Like, what's hilarious to me about Bite and
- 32:44for? Everybody learn some Chinese.
- 32:48Well, what's what's hilarious to me about Biden freaking out
- 32:51about the Mission Impossible movie is I haven't seen, I
- 32:55haven't seen the Mission Impossible movie that they're
- 32:57talking about. But from why I've been told like
- 33:02spoiler but one of the whole things is that the the evil AI
- 33:07that takes over and Mission Impossible.
- 33:10One of the problems is that it is it is overly controlled by
- 33:14like 1 central entity. Well, yeah, but like, you can't
- 33:17expect him to pay attention to a 90 minute film.
- 33:21Well, yeah, that. That's true.
- 33:24You know how many ice creams they had to bring him in the
- 33:26screening of this movie? Sam?
- 33:30Probably like probably like 5 or 6.
- 33:34Yeah, I I'm. That's a long time for him.
- 33:38He probably had to poop at least twice.
- 33:42Probably. And probably a dish of
- 33:45applesauce with his medication mixed in, too.
- 33:47That's 90 whole minutes, bro. Well, no.
- 33:51But what I'm saying is if Biden actually was.
- 33:53Ancient. Well, what I'm saying is, if
- 33:56Biden were paying attention, or let me put it this way, if if
- 34:00any of his aides were paying attention and and like, actually
- 34:02summarized the movie well for him, they would know that like,
- 34:07no Mr. President like regulating AI is what actually caused,
- 34:12like, this terror attack to happen.
- 34:15Yeah, but they're communists. Oh yeah, Well, that, you know.
- 34:19They want to regulate everything with an AI, Yeah, yeah.
- 34:24Like so. COVID teach you nothing.
- 34:29That they will jump at any opportunity to make themselves
- 34:32feel like even the most petty of tyrants that's ever existed.
- 34:36Well, yeah, I know. I know that.
- 34:37But but what it But what's funny to me is like, supposedly Biden
- 34:41is freaking out about the thing that he himself is like
- 34:44creating. That's what's hilarious to me.
- 34:46True. Maybe he doesn't.
- 34:48Yeah, he doesn't care. They gave him an ice cream and a
- 34:52fucking laxative and he was good.
- 34:54I I do want to play this clip from the Island.
- 34:57No. What?
- 34:57Like, there's no way he knows the extent of, like, poverty
- 35:00right now. There's no way he understands it
- 35:04no well. There's no fucking way he
- 35:09probably to him like. To him, poverty is probably like
- 35:14not having like the latest. No, there is one way.
- 35:17There's one way, if he's a sociopath, which is possible.
- 35:23I mean, the thought has definitely crossed my mind that
- 35:28that's possible. Well, I think they're all, to
- 35:30some degree a bit of a sociopath.
- 35:33I think you have to be to seek those jobs, yeah.
- 35:37I think most normal people don't want the fucking weight of that
- 35:40on their shoulders, but unfortunately what that leads to
- 35:42is corrupt and crooked men taking the reins of that power,
- 35:46yeah? And then we watch him fiddle as
- 35:51Rome burns and eat ice cream as inflation goes through the roof
- 35:55and says hey guys, it is only half as bad as last year.
- 36:00Oh yeah. On top of the last three years.
- 36:02Wow. Thanks, Joe.
- 36:05Yeah. The most inflation we've ever
- 36:08experienced in our whole life happened in three years, but
- 36:12it's only half as bad this year. Thanks Joe.
- 36:16Great job. And yet.
- 36:18And yet, regulating AI is like more of a concern to him than
- 36:22fixing the economy. Well, because he he can't.
- 36:27Because then the greenies will be mad at him, which which by
- 36:30the way like regulating AI would actually would.
- 36:37All this is and is is like an excuse to regulate your software
- 36:40in general and I I I want to play this.
- 36:42There, bingo. There you go.
- 36:45I want to play this clip from the All In podcast because they
- 36:50actually do a better job of summarizing this whole thing
- 36:52better than I do. And for those who don't know.
- 36:57Nobody does a better job than the Whitfield report, Sir.
- 37:01Well, they do a fantastic job over there.
- 37:03What was the show, The the All on podcast?
- 37:06Yeah, a wonderful show, which I don't know if you've if you've
- 37:10ever heard these guys, but they're basically a bunch of.
- 37:12Not in my life. I have no idea.
- 37:15OK, so they're a bunch of them. They're venture capitalist.
- 37:20Based They're venture capitalist guys and actually two of the
- 37:26guys on the panel started as like being like fairly liberal.
- 37:31But because of all this woke shit they've gone more like
- 37:34conservative over time which is which is actually pretty
- 37:38fascinating. I I do want to play a clip of.
- 37:40What primary interest in this podcast is in the business
- 37:45aspect of IT as well, yes. OK so I want to I want to set
- 37:53this code because they go over the basically Biden one and
- 37:57troglate this stuff and if if you want to jump in at any point
- 38:03Max let me know. So I'll queue up the the clip
- 38:09here. No, it'd be.
- 38:12It'd be interesting to hear it from the business side of things
- 38:15because I I have a feeling I know what they're going to say
- 38:17then, yeah. Because it's obvious to anybody
- 38:20in any business that you know. What he What he's proposing is
- 38:24not a great idea. Yeah.
- 38:26All right, so I'm not going to play the only I'm not going to
- 38:29play the whole of this. But I'll play enough of it to
- 38:32get a point. So this is from last week's On
- 38:36Podcast clip #4 go. Let's transition from one bubble
- 38:42to the most recent bubble. So AI regulation, given the
- 38:46frenzy and frothiness and fear mongering on AI destroying the
- 38:50world. Which I would personally argue
- 38:54is largely fear porn. The Biden administration took it
- 38:58upon themselves to try and be leaders in regulating AI and
- 39:02published an Executive order on October 30th.
- 39:05This long anticipated executive order covers a very broad range
- 39:09of matters in 111 page order document covers very specific
- 39:13actions in very detailed terms. Yeah, I just want to.
- 39:16One thing is I have not read the full text.
- 39:19Yet it's 110 pages and I just haven't.
- 39:23But yeah, 110 pages though, just in general, you know, think
- 39:30about that. That's not a lot for an order,
- 39:34but for an executive order, it's kind of a lot.
- 39:37But it is. To be fair, it's a complex
- 39:40topic. It's not a lot, but think of it
- 39:43this way like it's enough to where the average person is not
- 39:47going to bother reading it, and I think that's which.
- 39:49Is why I'm going to read it in full.
- 39:52Yeah, yeah. But like, I'm sure most of it is
- 39:57purposely boring and kind of mundane, no?
- 40:00And it doesn't really say much. What we should What you should.
- 40:03Read. The government usually writes
- 40:05those things. Most of it isn't even relevant
- 40:08or it's like explaining who the parties are and what they mean
- 40:11and definitions of terms and things.
- 40:14How how about this? Like, I don't know when we'll do
- 40:16it, but like, you should. But like, if you could read it
- 40:19and then kind of summarize on like a future episode of the
- 40:22show, that would be terrific. Yeah.
- 40:27Some of my some of my tech guy friends have said it's
- 40:29essentially nationalization in the same way as IBM.
- 40:33Yeah, well, that phrase it was the exact phrase used, which
- 40:36means. It's a it's.
- 40:37They're going to consent to it. The main companies, which I
- 40:41assume would be Google and fucking Microsoft, yeah.
- 40:44And then everybody they are going to for a while have an
- 40:47advantage. But the, like I said, the
- 40:48problem with IBM is when somebody moves outside of that
- 40:51bubble that's restrained by this agreement, they're going to be
- 40:56able to out compete them, which means that every other country
- 40:59is going to be out to compete to be able to out compete them now,
- 41:02yeah. I'm sorry to interrupt.
- 41:05I just wanted to point out I haven't read the whole thing.
- 41:07That's 110 page document and if anybody expected that I would
- 41:11have read it by now, I I apologize because that's a lot.
- 41:15But I will. I wasn't.
- 41:16I wasn't expecting it because I I I was just listening to this
- 41:20episode last night and I was like, oh, hold on this.
- 41:23This would be the. Thing is, is I've read a lot of
- 41:25legal documents and for that reason, the reason I say Boomers
- 41:29are tech illiterate is because I've read so many documents
- 41:31related to technology. Yeah.
- 41:35Legal documents related to technology where they don't even
- 41:37understand like the simplest of fucking things, but they're
- 41:40making laws about it. Yeah.
- 41:42No. And and that's, that's the
- 41:43whole, that's the whole crux of the matter here, I think is like
- 41:48we have people who don't understand.
- 41:50Technically an executive order, as Joe Biden says, and he's the
- 41:54last person who should be regulating any technology.
- 41:58Of course we know it's a whole team of lawyers.
- 42:00Writes the fucking thing, right? We're not stupid.
- 42:03But technically, what an executive order means is it's an
- 42:05order from the executive right? So Joe Biden is telling us what
- 42:10we should be doing with AI. Yeah, great.
- 42:13Brilliant. Brilliant.
- 42:14He. He's a technical.
- 42:16You really, You really know that the guy that cheat himself in
- 42:19front of the Pope is you're. Fucking like.
- 42:23Claire, go on. Go on.
- 42:24Yeah. No, no.
- 42:29It's an executive order, so it's not legislation.
- 42:33And there's much in here that some would argue needs to be
- 42:36legislated as an executive order.
- 42:38It can be overturned very quickly and easily by the next
- 42:41administration. It largely demands voluntary.
- 42:44Actions and. Technology companies to submit
- 42:47their models, infrastructure and tools.
- 42:50Voluntary. Review for proof of safety.
- 42:53Don't. Forget the equity and.
- 42:54Inclusion. There's an equity inclusion
- 42:57component, which is that your models have to account for
- 42:59diversity. Equity and inclusion.
- 43:00Diversity, equity, inclusion. There's a phrase from the
- 43:03executive order. The term Dual Use Foundational
- 43:05Model means an AI model that is trained on broad data, generally
- 43:09uses self supervision, contains at least 10s of billions of
- 43:12parameters, is applicable across a wide range of contexts, and
- 43:16that exhibits high levels of performance and tasks that pose
- 43:19a serious risk to security, national economic security,
- 43:22public safety. Or any combination of those
- 43:24matters, none of which ultimately describes endpoints,
- 43:27none of which describes loss or applications.
- 43:31To me, this is the biggest problem I see with the executive
- 43:35order and with the approach to AI regulation broadly,
- 43:37particularly with what's being developed and has been leaked in
- 43:40terms of what's being developed out of the EU, which is that
- 43:42many of these government agencies, government actors, are
- 43:46trying to define and regulate systems and methods.
- 43:51Rather than regulate outdoor applications.
- 43:54For example, if you were to say, you cannot commit.
- 43:56No, that's important, yes. They're regulating the fucking,
- 44:00the process of cooking, not the food.
- 44:03Yeah. So this guy, David Friedberg, he
- 44:07is, he is kind of like a younger version of Kurt Doolittle as far
- 44:13as the way he speaks, because he's there into like.
- 44:16Well I I'm going to judge him on his own.
- 44:18I don't like to make those kind of comparisons but like what he
- 44:21said there, his concern was that it's most largely voluntary and
- 44:24people might say why is that a concern?
- 44:26Exactly what I said because you now the companies that agree to
- 44:30this are going to then restructure their company to
- 44:33abide it and that why that's why it's an executive order if you
- 44:37if you weren't aware because he's like oh it can be easily
- 44:40overturned and it should be legislated.
- 44:42No, they did it for this way for a reason.
- 44:44They get Google to say. Oh yeah, the DEI models and all
- 44:48that in the AI, that was the the government made us do that.
- 44:52That was an executive order. We're not responsible for it
- 44:56now. It's now it's official from the
- 44:57government. They told us to do that.
- 44:59And so they're going to restructure in such a way that
- 45:01that's built baked into the cake forever.
- 45:04Whether the thing gets repealed, of course it's going to get
- 45:07repealed the next time a Republican gets in office.
- 45:09That's not the point. The point is, they've already
- 45:11got these major companies following it.
- 45:14If. You want to dabble in AI?
- 45:16You have to agree to abide our fucking terms or we're going to
- 45:18legislate you into the fucking dirt.
- 45:20Yeah, that's what. The It's extorting all the
- 45:23companies that don't want to play ball too well.
- 45:25And think about it this way, like Google and all these other
- 45:28big tech companies like I, I I can almost bet you money.
- 45:33I can guarantee you that that they have lobbyists in DC.
- 45:38Who wrote this? Yeah, yeah.
- 45:40Who wrote? Who wrote this to serve?
- 45:42They wrote it to serve, to serve themselves.
- 45:46Like, yeah. To yeah, to serve those
- 45:49companies and fuck their competition into the dirt, which
- 45:51is how all this regulation comes about.
- 45:53And and to and to fuck startups that are like getting that are
- 45:58starting to get involved in AI, which.
- 46:00In the long scale of things, the double edged sword is the IBM
- 46:04effect, where now you're handcuffed to the government
- 46:07regulations that you agreed upon in the 80s and things have
- 46:11changed, right? And that's the same fucking
- 46:14thing will happen, but it's going to happen faster because
- 46:17we have a global economy now, especially with computing.
- 46:21And so all they have to do is just set up their AI operations
- 46:24in fucking Guam, not Guam, because that's AUS territory,
- 46:26but you. It's some fucking foreign in
- 46:29Zimbabwe or something. And and they're good now they
- 46:32have their AI farm and they're immune from your regulation and
- 46:35people can still access it on the fucking Internet, yeah.
- 46:40Oh, let's handcuff our own companies.
- 46:42Yeah, yeah, I haven't done enough of that in the last 30
- 46:44years. What the fuck you're They're
- 46:46outsourcing AI right now is what they're doing.
- 46:49Yeah. No.
- 46:49And and the one. Fucking thing we have left.
- 46:52They're outsourcing, yeah. And yeah.
- 46:55And one and one of the guys is actually going to bring that up
- 46:57here in a bit. So yeah.
- 47:01Fraud and Falsely impersonate someone using software you can.
- 47:08Rightly say that it follows the rule of law and we should be
- 47:11able. To Yeah, that's still fraud.
- 47:13In courts instead to have government agencies and have
- 47:17what this executive order describes as a chief AI officer
- 47:20in every federal agency responsible for regulating the
- 47:23systems and methods of all. The as we pointed out.
- 47:27Private companies that are building software to say this is
- 47:31the scale that your software can get to.
- 47:34You can have a certain number of parameters.
- 47:36If you're bigger than this number of parameters, we have to
- 47:38come in and check your software creates an outlandish standard
- 47:42and one that makes absolutely no sense, particularly in the
- 47:45context of the pace of a is progression.
- 47:48Remember the paper that was foundational to transformer
- 47:51model development, which is what a lot of people call AI today,
- 47:54which is develop these LLM and so on, came out in 2017 and
- 47:58wasn't really widely adopted until 2018 as a standard.
- 48:01We're five years into this. So the way that we're making
- 48:04models, the types of models we're building, the scale of the
- 48:06models, the number of parameters being used, the pace at which
- 48:09these things is changing is staggering.
- 48:12We are only in the first inning. And so to come out and say here
- 48:15are the standards by which we want to now regulate you, this
- 48:18is the size that the model can be.
- 48:19These are the types of models. And that's another thing, too,
- 48:22is in almost every industry, innovation outpaces legislation.
- 48:27In almost every industry, they've done the same fucking
- 48:30thing. You look at the movie industry.
- 48:33You look at the fucking comic book industry in the 40s and
- 48:3650s. You look at the fucking music
- 48:38industry, in the music industry almost up until the fucking
- 48:412000s and and including that because the DMCA was regarding
- 48:46the fucking music industry originally, so like.
- 48:49Every major industry, the computing industry as we
- 48:51mentioned, was IBM. The censorship of the fucking
- 48:5590s where they wanted to put stickers on albums like all of
- 48:58this shit moves. They do this every time, and
- 49:01every time it either holds the industry back or it's just a
- 49:04pointless waste of time to give some government people jobs and
- 49:07money. Well, let, well let's go back to
- 49:10the other, let's go back even further the the automotive and
- 49:14this is way before either of us. Were, Yeah.
- 49:16They hated Henry Ford. Yeah.
- 49:18The the automotive industry, like the government was trying
- 49:22to hamper the automotive industry.
- 49:24Why? Because it would have, Because
- 49:27the automotive industry would have killed the, you know, the
- 49:30horse and cattle and. Television is and television is
- 49:34brainwashing the youth and radio is evil and.
- 49:38That alcohol production is the devil, and literally every
- 49:41industry you can point to in America at some point has been
- 49:46demonized and legislated by people that didn't understand
- 49:49it. And either they with they
- 49:51withstood that and became stronger because of it, like
- 49:55Henry Ford, or they went with the flow and fucking became a
- 49:59fucking subject to it like IBM. Either way, they're asking all
- 50:04the companies making the fucking shit now to make that choice.
- 50:07Yeah, Henry Ford and fight us forever in legislation and
- 50:10personally suffer greatly. As much as he profited, he
- 50:14fucking suffered in terms of his health and things.
- 50:16It's mental health. You fight the government
- 50:21forever, or you're going to be friends with the government and
- 50:23do what they say and sell out essentially.
- 50:27Yeah, those are your fucking options.
- 50:29And Google, we all know what Google's got.
- 50:32Oh oh DI. It has to have DI Hey, we
- 50:35already had. As a matter of fact, Google will
- 50:37probably say we got the DEI initiatives that everybody else
- 50:40can use. They they they were the ones who
- 50:43probably included like, hey Joe, make sure to put something out
- 50:46DEI they. They look on Microsoft.
- 50:49It's just like, oh look, our hands are tied.
- 50:51We got to have some DEI guys, yeah.
- 50:55We're we're not bad though we're not like the mother guys like
- 50:58we're we're we're kind of OK. We're trying to avoid the
- 51:01fucking political shit, but we're going to bake it into the
- 51:04fucking cake because the government told us we have to.
- 51:07They can't even be held responding.
- 51:09You can't even be like, oh Microsoft, you fucking, because
- 51:12the government said so. It's an executive order.
- 51:14What are you going to do? Yeah.
- 51:17And so even when that executive order gets repealed in three
- 51:20years, they're going to keep the fucking practices.
- 51:23And that's why he keeps focusing on systems and practices.
- 51:26Because it's fucking important. It's not the outcome.
- 51:28The outcome he's talking about. Let's say it was fraud, right?
- 51:32So the outcome of an AI is that they can make it.
- 51:34Make a Sam Whitfield AI and have him say some shit you never
- 51:38said, and through that, 'cause somebody to to give money
- 51:42fraudulently in your name. Yes, that can happen.
- 51:45That's an outcome of AI. That's not how AI works.
- 51:50And it's not like that requires the human component, the person
- 51:53that made that thing, to do that thing, right?
- 51:57Yeah. So they're not regulating the
- 52:00fucking outcomes, they're regulating the systems of how
- 52:02you get there. In the vague, vain attempt to
- 52:07say this will make sure that outcome never happens.
- 52:10Which it still will, yeah. Because if you understand how
- 52:15computers fucking work, and you understand a little bit about
- 52:17code, you can talk them. Into breaking their own rules
- 52:22very easily. And people do all the time.
- 52:24Not even not even just that. But but like malicious actors,
- 52:29no matter. No matter.
- 52:31No matter what it is, malicious actors will figure out a way to
- 52:36get around the laws. There's.
- 52:38Already there's already a dark net fucking open AI.
- 52:42But like a a ChatGPT made by like, the fucking dark net.
- 52:47And criminals that exists. Oh yeah.
- 52:52I'm sure it'll only get better over time and their regulation
- 52:55will do nothing to stop that. Yeah, no, that that, that was,
- 52:59that was something that Elon actually tweeted about like a
- 53:03couple, a couple of days ago actually.
- 53:06Yeah, no, This guy clearly knows what he's talking about and
- 53:09that's why I I got. I can't disagree with anything
- 53:12he said there. And and.
- 53:15You know the regulation, if you look historically, it's never
- 53:19helped. It's never actually done
- 53:22anything helping did regulating the comic books in the 50s stop
- 53:26serial killers because that's what they thought it was going
- 53:28to do? No it it.
- 53:30There's still serial killers, right?
- 53:32It it may. But they regulated the comic
- 53:34books. How can there still be serial
- 53:36killers? Because.
- 53:39Oh, they banned. They they, they they harassed
- 53:41Eazy E they murdered Eazy E Is there still gangster out?
- 53:45Is there still gangsters? I believe there is.
- 53:48I believe there's still gangsters in the hood.
- 53:50They they were trying to at one point blame violent video games
- 53:57and that. And I don't want to go too down
- 53:59a rat hole because I know that this is, you know, but they
- 54:02have. The warning stickers on them, do
- 54:04you think do you think that that government had nothing to do
- 54:06with the fucking ESRB that everybody hates?
- 54:09Yeah, well, well, they, they tried to.
- 54:11Only way to not get regulated. The same with the fucking record
- 54:15industry. It was like they say it's
- 54:17voluntary. It is comply or else they they
- 54:21try. To And then it is a hindrance to
- 54:23you in the future. Now, the labels on records,
- 54:26maybe not because people made them.
- 54:27They rocked them. They were like, I got a parental
- 54:29advisory sticker. We're cool.
- 54:31Yeah, we're cool. OK.
- 54:33But like, that's not always the case, and the ESRB is a good
- 54:36example of it. Because often times I think for
- 54:40a while they didn't regulate anything to do with loot boxes
- 54:42in terms of the rating, right? So they were making kids games
- 54:46with what most people consider gambling mechanics.
- 54:49I I don't actually care about loot boxes so much when they're
- 54:53targeted towards adults, but target that kid towards shit
- 54:58towards kids, you could at least put a warning.
- 55:01On the label, which is what they ended up having to do, but they
- 55:04got brought to court to do it. But it mostly it's a useless
- 55:08fucking system, is what I'm trying to say.
- 55:10Nobody makes those decisions. Yeah, I think you know people
- 55:13let their kids watch rated R movies.
- 55:15They didn't give a fuck. It's the same kind of thing I I,
- 55:19I mostly try to avoid sexual content.
- 55:22For my kid, that's about, like in in really crazy depictions of
- 55:27violence, like he's not playing Mortal Kombat.
- 55:30He's playing like Marvel superhero Lego guys or that's
- 55:33his like favorite game in the world.
- 55:36Yeah, you're you're you're like Shredder's Revenge.
- 55:39I also like Shredder's Revenge. So your kids not shooting people
- 55:45in the Dicks in in RoboCop. Rogue Rogue City.
- 55:50Which by the way is I I finally got it.
- 55:53I wouldn't even have a problem with that, although it's a very
- 55:56visceral fucking game. It's not all that bad.
- 55:59The I just don't. I just don't think graphic
- 56:02violence in a video game is that fucking bad because.
- 56:07And also I don't. I try not to like.
- 56:09I'm not trying to avoid showing him that the violence is not the
- 56:12problem, it's the sexual content, swearing anything to do
- 56:17with politics. I avoid that he played, Did you
- 56:23hear of that game when it came out?
- 56:25Slayer's Ex, Wrath of the Slayer or something like that.
- 56:31I I've heard of it, but I've never played it.
- 56:35It's a boomer shooter that a guy designed when he was 13 in his
- 56:38notebook and then he became like a developer for real.
- 56:43And when he became an indie developer, he made the game he,
- 56:46as he envisioned it when he was 13.
- 56:48So with the old school graphics and he doesn't swear.
- 56:52And it's a boomer shooter. It's kind of violent and it
- 56:55talks about poop, but he plays that.
- 56:59Like literally it was designed by a 13 year old mind, if you
- 57:02can imagine, like he's trying to save his girlfriend and the and
- 57:07the cutscenes look like they're made in like the 90s too.
- 57:09It's great. It's it's a fantastic little
- 57:12game and he wants to play that. Oh yeah.
- 57:14Fine. That.
- 57:16That's that sounds he's. Not playing GTA.
- 57:19He's not playing The Witcher. That's another one, because
- 57:23there's a lot of sex in The Witcher.
- 57:25Well, yeah. Like, a lot.
- 57:28Like, right out the gate is like a nude scene, right?
- 57:31Yeah. No, that's how the game
- 57:34literally starts. So more, more theus.
- 57:40I'm much more. I'm much more concerned about
- 57:42him seeing that stuff. Because he's 7, right?
- 57:45Yeah, yeah, no, but well, no. The thing it is, is if your kid
- 57:50is going to play RoboCop Rogue City, he at least needs to watch
- 57:53the first RoboCop film. Well, that's what I was thinking
- 57:57is like, would you would I say no to him watching the first
- 57:59RoboCop movie? Because it's about as violent as
- 58:02the fucking game. And it is.
- 58:04It is. Probably not.
- 58:05Yeah, probably. I'd let him.
- 58:07Yeah, I'd probably let him watch the movie.
- 58:09It is pretty like that scene where they murder like that's
- 58:14seen it. Even by today's standards, it is
- 58:16pretty gruesome to watch so. Yeah, but it's it's also a good
- 58:22fucking film. And I don't, I don't know.
- 58:24It's not that bad. It's also.
- 58:27If it came out today, it'd probably be related to PG13.
- 58:30Yeah, no, it It's also RoboCop is also kind of funny too.
- 58:35Like in in some well, at the heart.
- 58:39Of it all is a good message is he's struggling to just serve
- 58:41justice, right? Yeah, well, whatever that means.
- 58:44For for whatever he is left. Well, and also a.
- 58:47Good guy in his heart and also to maintain his humanity too so.
- 58:52That's what I mean, right? He's a good guy in his heart and
- 58:55they can put all the fucking robots in him they want.
- 58:57It still always shines through Murphy, not RoboCop.
- 59:02Yeah, and also your son. Your son does deserve to know
- 59:06about iconic actor Peter Weller, because that man is an icon.
- 59:13So you know what he used to watch?
- 59:16That's an old ass movie he watched over and over and over
- 59:18again. Was the original Power Rangers
- 59:20motion picture like the film? Yeah.
- 59:25Which I've I've come to find out.
- 59:27A lot of people say that they think is really, really bad.
- 59:31I think for Power Rangers movie looks all right.
- 59:33I was a little too old for Power Rangers.
- 59:35My brother was into that, so I thought it was corny, yeah.
- 59:40If your younger brother is into something, it's probably corny.
- 59:44Yeah, that that's generally how it is from what I understand.
- 59:48I I was. I was a lonely child for a long
- 59:51time. Same thing with Pokémon, right?
- 59:53Well, no Pokémon. That's why I was like I.
- 59:58Don't know, it just seems like Harry Potter's another one I was
- 1:00:01already reading. Like Conan the Barbarian and
- 1:00:03Elements. If you want to talk fantasy
- 1:00:05stuff, it It's a bunch of little kids with wands.
- 1:00:08Spitting, of course. That are British, so they
- 1:00:10fucking make up words. And that just didn't appeal to
- 1:00:13me. I'd already read The Lord of the
- 1:00:16Rings. I'd already read Elminster, The
- 1:00:18Making of a Mage. I'd already been reading Dragon
- 1:00:21Lance. That shit seems pretty fucking
- 1:00:23corny. Yeah.
- 1:00:27Anyway, though, all of these, the people that grew up on Harry
- 1:00:29Potter, I'm just saying I was like a teenager when that shit
- 1:00:34came out and it seemed pretty fucking corny.
- 1:00:37I mean it. I mean, I I grew up in the
- 1:00:39generation of Harry Potter and it seemed pretty corny to me, to
- 1:00:42be fair. So, but yeah, but you're a
- 1:00:46contrarian. I I am very, very much so.
- 1:00:52I am too. I hated a lot of the shit my
- 1:00:55generation like, but I hated Harry Potter just as much.
- 1:00:58And that. And that's well, and that's why
- 1:01:01we get along, because we're all, we're all kind of contrarians in
- 1:01:06our little circle. So yeah, I wish I could be
- 1:01:09contrary to what that guy was saying, but he's correct.
- 1:01:12Nah. Well, well, I mean, in the tech
- 1:01:16industry, they're a kind of contrarians too, because they're
- 1:01:18not super woke, as you'll find out in a SEC.
- 1:01:26None of the stuff's even going to apply anymore.
- 1:01:28I'm just really of the point of view as you guys know, that the
- 1:01:31market needs to be allowed to develop.
- 1:01:33If we don't allow our market to develop in the United States,
- 1:01:37India and China and Singapore and other markets will get in.
- 1:01:42Terms of their model development and their capabilities as a
- 1:01:46nation and their capabilities as an industry and the more our
- 1:01:49government actors step in and try and tell us what systems and
- 1:01:52methods we are allowed to use to build stuff.
- 1:01:54The more at risk we are falling behind.
- 1:01:57That's my general statement on the matter.
- 1:01:59I'll pass the the, the mic. I mean, Shamak, you were
- 1:02:02advocating for AI regs a couple months ago, I think, right?
- 1:02:04I mean, where does this fall with respect to what you were
- 1:02:07advocating for and what you were concerned about?
- 1:02:09Well, I had a very specific lens that I viewed this stuff through
- 1:02:14and they didn't really address it.
- 1:02:17I think that this was a little bit of a kitchen sink EO and.
- 1:02:23I think what probably happened was depending on, look, I I
- 1:02:27mean, I think The thing is like Levay, when this process first
- 1:02:31started, it started in the Senate and it started with the
- 1:02:34Majority Leader, Chuck Schumer. And I met with Chuck and then I
- 1:02:37met with Chuck's team. And then it morphed into this
- 1:02:40much bigger thing. And I think it morphed into a
- 1:02:45lot of people trying to do the right thing, meeting with a lot
- 1:02:49of very important and very famous people.
- 1:02:52And I think somewhere along the way it just became this
- 1:02:56convoluted and confused document, because I do agree
- 1:03:00with you that it's not super coherent.
- 1:03:02There's a lot of arbitrary requirements.
- 1:03:04You know, like there's like, I think there's a requirement here
- 1:03:07that as a certain number of parameters you have to like self
- 1:03:10report yourself to the government, which is like, what
- 1:03:15does that even mean? Why?
- 1:03:16Why is that even important? So it it's it's just a lot of
- 1:03:19random stuff. So it just seems like anybody
- 1:03:22who had the ear of the people writing this had a chance to
- 1:03:25write something in. So it's a little confusing.
- 1:03:30It's not going to do the job. And I think that you're right,
- 1:03:33in two or three years we're going to look back and this is
- 1:03:35going to look medieval. I'll just say I'll point out
- 1:03:37another point, just one of many that I could highlight in this
- 1:03:40document I read. Hold on, hold on, ma'am,
- 1:03:43there's. Got to be legislation on before
- 1:03:45he got introduced, he got introduced as you supported
- 1:03:48regulations a few months ago, correct?
- 1:03:50Yes, and he just said these are going to look medieval, he.
- 1:03:54Yeah, he's. He's also the guy who he's pro
- 1:03:58regular. I just wanted to point that out
- 1:04:00as simple as possible. He's pro regulation and he said
- 1:04:03this is medieval. Yes, OK, yeah, I'll take his
- 1:04:11word for it, having not read it. But, like, that's a pretty harsh
- 1:04:14condemnation from somebody who was for regulating AI.
- 1:04:18Yeah. Well, and I I, I think a lot of
- 1:04:23these people who were pro regulation are starting to kind
- 1:04:26of wake up and say, oh, this might not be such a good idea
- 1:04:30after all that they don't, they don't relate it back to IBM.
- 1:04:35They don't like in their mind, they're a different thing in
- 1:04:38different industry, different time.
- 1:04:39They might not even know the story.
- 1:04:41Well, well, David Sacks who? Who you're going to see here in
- 1:04:44a SEC who I bring up often, he he does bring up IBM into this.
- 1:04:50I don't want to shit on IBM as a company like they've they've
- 1:04:54succeeded, despite all that, in their own various niches since
- 1:04:59then. Like, I'm not trying to down
- 1:05:01them because honestly, IBM is an American institution, company of
- 1:05:04the of the 20th century. Yeah, like people don't even
- 1:05:08realize how influential that company was until regulation and
- 1:05:13they've managed to survive to the current day.
- 1:05:16But you ain't. You're not.
- 1:05:19You're not using an IBM computer, and neither am I.
- 1:05:22No. Well, neither is anybody
- 1:05:24listening to us. Neither is anybody basically on
- 1:05:27the entire Internet. And I I I think though that goes
- 1:05:30to to show though like yeah we're not trying to on IBM but
- 1:05:35IBM is kind of like. It's the nearest thing to a case
- 1:05:39study to to like an actual like tangible case study for a lot of
- 1:05:43this stuff that we can reference.
- 1:05:46And that's kind of what SAX is going to bring up here in a SEC
- 1:05:49or or the DMCA to the music industry and it's collapse now
- 1:05:54everything is fucking independent.
- 1:05:56They hire people independently, they get their music onto iTunes
- 1:06:01and they just take a cut off of fucking royalties.
- 1:06:03They the whole fucking thing collapsed.
- 1:06:05There's no record sales. Yeah, there's no record stores,
- 1:06:10right? They had to restructure the
- 1:06:11whole thing. That's because of the way that
- 1:06:13they went about the battle with Napster and online piracy and
- 1:06:18then the rise of streaming services And then everybody, you
- 1:06:21know, all these old time musicians were like, now that
- 1:06:24nobody's listening to us on the radio, everybody's listening
- 1:06:26online. Wait a minute, I ain't making
- 1:06:30nearly as much royalties as before.
- 1:06:32What the fuck's the deal? Turns out that they all signed
- 1:06:36off on these streaming services for a fucking a nickel,
- 1:06:39basically. Yeah, And they undersold all
- 1:06:42these artists catalogs to them. That's why you might think that
- 1:06:45some of these artists are being pricks, but first they were
- 1:06:48getting their music stolen from them, right?
- 1:06:51Just flat out stolen. I understand that.
- 1:06:54Everybody does the file sharing thing.
- 1:06:56I've done it too. And piracy.
- 1:06:57Piracy is piracy. You're stealing.
- 1:06:59So imagine the other end of it that the musicians, they start
- 1:07:03losing money because you're you're fucking stealing their
- 1:07:05music and the next thing they know they settled that, came up
- 1:07:08with a legal solution for streaming their music.
- 1:07:11And then people are basically fucking stealing from them too.
- 1:07:16Because it turns out they're paying them like like they'd get
- 1:07:19like 3040% off a radio play. They're getting like 3% off of
- 1:07:27streams. Or they were.
- 1:07:29That's why they all kind of went on strike for a while And and
- 1:07:32even though some of them are pricks and even though some of
- 1:07:34them you think they have enough money, they're right though they
- 1:07:38got screwed because these companies signed away all their
- 1:07:41rights while they were they were not thinking of the online
- 1:07:46streaming service. It was still album sales.
- 1:07:48Yeah, that's why it's like a lot of old timey, big name artists
- 1:07:52that were doing it, because they're the ones that got
- 1:07:55fucked. And whether whether or not, you
- 1:07:57know, they're fucking like Madonna, a prick with more money
- 1:08:00than you could fucking ever imagine, it's still technically
- 1:08:04taking her shit. You know what I mean?
- 1:08:06Well. There there were a lot of bands
- 1:08:08who like King Crimson was one of them.
- 1:08:13King Crimson for a long time. They did not distribute their
- 1:08:18songs on iTunes or anything like that, but what they did do is
- 1:08:24they hope the tool was like that for a long time as well.
- 1:08:28Yeah well what well what what King Crimson did was they they
- 1:08:33like set up their they set up their own like online web store
- 1:08:40thing. But that and and a lot of a lot
- 1:08:42of artists, particularly smaller scale artists who have dedicated
- 1:08:47fans find a lot of success online independently.
- 1:08:51But the whole industry has just changed because of it, because
- 1:08:56of the ease of streaming as compared to like, nobody carries
- 1:08:59around a stack of compact discs anymore.
- 1:09:02Or even, you know, the the Cillier is a little folder full
- 1:09:05of them, right? Because you just have your
- 1:09:07phone. It's easier.
- 1:09:09The convenience is ridiculous in comparison.
- 1:09:12Yeah, nobody even thinks about compact discs anymore.
- 1:09:15My my wife had gotten some, like, old shit from an old lady
- 1:09:19at her at her mom's building or whatever.
- 1:09:21And amongst the things was a fucking double disc set of like
- 1:09:25the greatest hits of the doors. And I was like, oh, that's cool.
- 1:09:28Where the fuck would I play that?
- 1:09:30No, my, my, my grand, my grandmother.
- 1:09:33And you know, she she meant well.
- 1:09:35She got me a. She got me a cassette tape of
- 1:09:40one of U2's albums and it's like, well, that's cassette is
- 1:09:45an interesting thing too. I've seen like a lot of like
- 1:09:49really indie type artists and like Vaporwave actually
- 1:09:54distribute their shit on cassette.
- 1:09:57Yeah. But yeah, And I mean that's
- 1:10:00that's like a weird nostalgia, because cassettes are
- 1:10:02objectively, in every way worse. Well, yeah.
- 1:10:05But also like, I should have cassette nostalgia.
- 1:10:08That was like my era. I had so many cassettes.
- 1:10:11Yeah, but like, cassettes sucked.
- 1:10:15Yeah. Well, and I mean as far as like
- 1:10:17the vapor wave thing like, like like thematically like you know
- 1:10:23the whole cassette type thing like that is part of the vapor
- 1:10:25wave. Aesthetic, I guess.
- 1:10:28So as far as that whole thing goes, like I get it from that
- 1:10:31perspective but don't have a sound because it's it's still
- 1:10:35just a digitally magnetized file like vinyl.
- 1:10:39Vinyl has a sound, and the reason vinyl has a sound is that
- 1:10:42they had to compress everything. Well, yeah, and and then the the
- 1:10:47needle's movement is supposed to decompress the file so that they
- 1:10:51could fit it on a record. Yeah, but as soon as they came
- 1:10:55in with the magnet tapes, like 8 tracks and stuff, that's
- 1:10:59different. So there there's a just a
- 1:11:01cleaner sound on tape. That's what people say when they
- 1:11:05they feel like modern music doesn't sound as good.
- 1:11:08The older music was lower decibel, generally speaking, but
- 1:11:12it had that sound because of vinyl, and if you listen to it
- 1:11:15on vinyl it does sound good. I still think, I still think
- 1:11:19like a digital like a high quality like flak file is
- 1:11:23probably like the optimal way to listen to any record if you
- 1:11:26really care about it. Yeah.
- 1:11:28Oh yeah. Vinyl's good, too.
- 1:11:30It is especially through a speaker.
- 1:11:32Vinyl is great through a speaker.
- 1:11:34Yeah, and I mean I've, I've listened.
- 1:11:36I've listened to Flack files. The problem with headphones?
- 1:11:39You want the highest quality power.
- 1:11:40You want digital if you're listening on headphones.
- 1:11:43The problem with Flack files is they is Flack files are like
- 1:11:47massive too though. Yeah, but like the size of
- 1:11:51storage, they're getting more trivial all the time.
- 1:11:54Yeah. Also, you're late that it's a
- 1:11:57cost for quality. Right.
- 1:12:00No, I I'm right. I'm not saying it's an issue for
- 1:12:04me, but like you know, for the average, normally like you know
- 1:12:08MP3MP3 with headphones is fine too.
- 1:12:11Like that's a that's a decent level of like.
- 1:12:13If you want the highest quality, you got to get yourself a like a
- 1:12:16Flack of the master. Yeah.
- 1:12:20So anyway though, yeah, getting back to IBM though, this is one
- 1:12:26of the things that they're going to bring up what you were saying
- 1:12:29at IBM kind of being the case study for a lot of this, so.
- 1:12:36Watermarking AI content. Think about that for a second.
- 1:12:40What is AI content? We've been using Adobe Photoshop
- 1:12:44for 30 years. To change photographs and change
- 1:12:48documents, we've been using various tools for doing audio
- 1:12:52generation and music. I mean, there's no music that
- 1:12:54doesn't run through a digital processor of some sort.
- 1:12:57There's no video. There's no movies that don't
- 1:13:00have some degree of CGI elements or some degree of production
- 1:13:05rendering integrated into the video.
- 1:13:07Even old music, OK, even old old old music went through digital
- 1:13:14processing going back, I think to like the 30s when they use
- 1:13:19like one and two tracks. Yeah, I know this this is, this
- 1:13:22is what I'm saying is like Biden and company don't.
- 1:13:26That's what I That's what I was saying earlier when the when
- 1:13:30when when Kurt Doodle says that these go back and they raise the
- 1:13:34fucking band in The Equalizer and the Treble before they
- 1:13:38fucking put it out on a record. Right.
- 1:13:41That's it. Was done digitally since the
- 1:13:44dawn of fucking music. Yeah, that.
- 1:13:47I mean, all that is music. As soon as we had recorded
- 1:13:50music, somebody said, hey, how can I clean this up to make it
- 1:13:54sound the best possible? And they did so in a digital
- 1:13:58setting, usually using tape reel to reel.
- 1:14:00Yeah, I mean, all of that is like a is a form of which, as I
- 1:14:05said before, tape is fucking digital.
- 1:14:08Yeah, all of that. All of that, technically, is a
- 1:14:11form of AI, if you want to think about it.
- 1:14:14Why that definition? Yeah, that's why I wanted to
- 1:14:16stop and really explain that. Is that what?
- 1:14:19Fucking what? What's this face?
- 1:14:21Fucking Thomas Edison's old radio transmissions are are AI.
- 1:14:28Yeah, Need to be watermarked, Edison.
- 1:14:31Motherfucker. Yeah, we'll watermark every
- 1:14:36radio broadcast ever. We'll talk Watermark every
- 1:14:40television show in the history of fucking humanity.
- 1:14:43We'll talk every movie. Yeah, Well, well, yeah.
- 1:14:46And that's another guy who, like, fought regulators like
- 1:14:50tooth and nail throughout his entire life.
- 1:14:54Man, the government can just regulate everything now.
- 1:14:58Yeah, wow. That's pretty like for for a guy
- 1:15:02like like Bosch or something that's pretty based.
- 1:15:04Like he would love that. Oh yeah, he'd, I said some
- 1:15:07straight like. Like I said, like I'm not joking
- 1:15:10when I'm when I compare it to Francis E Deck and the communist
- 1:15:13computer gangster God that lives on the moon.
- 1:15:16Like, what's the fucking difference?
- 1:15:18And it sorts us by race, determining who gets what.
- 1:15:22Yeah, the only thing he missed is his gender and and fucking
- 1:15:27sexuality. You got to throw that in there
- 1:15:30too. And disability status and all
- 1:15:32that. DI is a bit more complex than
- 1:15:35Francis Edek's 1950 schizophrenic mind could come up
- 1:15:38with. Like, Lord help us.
- 1:15:41He came up with the communist computer gangster God.
- 1:15:45He came out. He came pretty damn close.
- 1:15:48Like, if you've never listened, there's an old radio DJ that
- 1:15:51read Francis Edek's letters. You can find still on YouTube to
- 1:15:56this day. I highly recommend just looking
- 1:15:59up Francis E Deck on YouTube and listening to it because it's
- 1:16:01highly entertaining. The But it's also chilling
- 1:16:05because the communist computer gangster God is now real.
- 1:16:08The the first time I heard the the first time and it and it was
- 1:16:12designed and and perpetrated by Joe Biden.
- 1:16:18Don't you just love this timeline we live in?
- 1:16:20It's it's great, isn't it? Hey, at least the president that
- 1:16:24controls AI is retarded. Silver lining is Max.
- 1:16:30That's what I love about you. It's funny, right?
- 1:16:33So like at least that. Yeah, at least we can say that
- 1:16:38he's retarded, and it'll probably he'll like,
- 1:16:41inadvertently do something hilarious like poop in front of
- 1:16:46the Pope. You know what I mean?
- 1:16:53Who would ever think that the president would take?
- 1:16:55A shit in his pants, right in front of the Heavenly Father.
- 1:17:00Excuse me, Father, for I have sinned.
- 1:17:04Well, he he's incontinent. What?
- 1:17:07What do you want from him? Yeah, yeah.
- 1:17:11No, that was a holy shit, Yeah. Self What makes something AI?
- 1:17:19Is it the fact that 100% of the pixels are generated by
- 1:17:22software? What if it's only 98%?
- 1:17:25Is Pixar AI because all of Pixar is made on computers?
- 1:17:30Is the auto tune hip hop artist AI because his voice isn't
- 1:17:33coming through on the audio track?
- 1:17:35So what is AI in this definition?
- 1:17:39The fact that any piece of content needs to be watermarked
- 1:17:42if it's AII think is one of the most outlandish infringements on
- 1:17:461st Amendment rights I've seen. And doesn't really understand
- 1:17:50any set in any sense how software is generally used in
- 1:17:54the world today which is watermark.
- 1:17:56Everywhere. And to say that on music would
- 1:17:59mean like. Definition of a certain type of
- 1:18:01software Oh my God. Watermarked on music would mean
- 1:18:04like because like they do that sometimes like guys that that
- 1:18:07make beats and and it they'll be like it's just really loud and
- 1:18:12obnoxious so that you can't use the beat for anything.
- 1:18:16It'll be like DJ 5 on the mix. That's.
- 1:18:19What you're talking about, you're going to have to have AI
- 1:18:21every fucking 15 seconds over every song.
- 1:18:25Ever. Enjoy your Joe Biden
- 1:18:28regulations. It's going to be like, it's
- 1:18:31going to be like this song made by Open AI.
- 1:18:35This song Get low, get low, get open AI.
- 1:18:40Yeah, yeah. No, it's well, you're having a
- 1:18:42party. It stops every five seconds to
- 1:18:45say Open AI. Fuck man.
- 1:18:49The worst Fucking. Regulation ever arbitrarily call
- 1:18:55AI. We want to watermark this stuff
- 1:18:58and we want to get a stamp on that content so the government
- 1:19:01can track it and audit it. I think is absurd.
- 1:19:06Jack's over to you. So Sax is the is kind of the
- 1:19:09base one. He's he's the Trumpian guy.
- 1:19:14He looks he looks very like Mafioso.
- 1:19:16Yeah, well he's actually, he's one of the he's one of the Co
- 1:19:20founders of PayPal and he he explains the mafia.
- 1:19:25Yeah, well no. That he and Elon Musk are are
- 1:19:30and Peter Thiel are part of what's known as the PayPal
- 1:19:33Mafia. Actually, yeah.
- 1:19:38And he's their Iceman. Yeah, no, the, the, no, the,
- 1:19:42the. You're not wrong.
- 1:19:43The the mainstream media has literally called him like the
- 1:19:46tech world's Iceman or something like that.
- 1:19:48It's funny, actually. Saw him for three seconds and I
- 1:19:52was like gangster. Yeah, no, it he's he's out to
- 1:19:56drop some straight facts on IBM, all of what you basically just
- 1:20:01mentioned. One AI has been convicted of a
- 1:20:07pre crime. This, this EO, it describes, it
- 1:20:12describes this litany of horribles, this parade of
- 1:20:15horribles that's going to happen unless you know the wise people
- 1:20:20in the central government like Joe Biden and Kamala Harris
- 1:20:22guide his development. So that's what the EO says going
- 1:20:24to do, is guide the development of this technology.
- 1:20:26Because if we don't, it's going to result in all these horrible
- 1:20:29things happening. Steven Sinofsky, who was a the
- 1:20:32key executive of Microsoft and the I think it going back to the
- 1:20:3580s, wrote a really interesting blog post about this where he he
- 1:20:38was there at the beginning of the PC revolution with the dawn
- 1:20:42of the microprocessor in the 70s and 80s.
- 1:20:45And he pulled a bunch of books off his bookshelf from that time
- 1:20:48period which were sort of the sci-fi books like forecasting
- 1:20:52doom, infringement on privacy. One was called The Assault on
- 1:20:55Privacy, Another one was called Electronic Nightmare, another
- 1:20:58one was called The Rise of the Computer State and so on.
- 1:21:01And so it was also predicting all these horrible things that
- 1:21:04would come from the. Yeah, So that that's that's one
- 1:21:07thing I wanted to bring up too. Yeah.
- 1:21:09So like this whole fear around. Look at this.
- 1:21:12Look at this. Rise of the Computer State
- 1:21:14Forward by Walter Cronkite, the most trusted news man in the
- 1:21:18world. He told you the computers.
- 1:21:21We're going to take over the whole fucking world in five
- 1:21:23years. Yeah, yeah.
- 1:21:25No. Very, very trusted news man,
- 1:21:28boomers. Yeah, So and and that's.
- 1:21:30He also, he also was like the biggest advocate of climate
- 1:21:33change. When they used to call it global
- 1:21:35warming and when they called it fucking global cooling, and
- 1:21:38when, like whenever they called it something, Walter Cronkite
- 1:21:40was at the forefront of that. No, he's like the leader of the
- 1:21:43Green movement. No.
- 1:21:44So I actually. There, Martin Luther King.
- 1:21:47So like I actually. I actually I I don't think Kurt
- 1:21:52had had his DMS open, but I I did try and send this to him
- 1:21:56because he no. No, no, we'll we'll talk to him.
- 1:21:58He Well, no. But Kurt actually mentioned this
- 1:22:02that like there were there were books out there in the 80s like
- 1:22:05talking like how bad like computers were going to be.
- 1:22:11Like this was not like. That's why my.
- 1:22:15Rebellious ass got into like hip hop, Dungeons and Dragons, metal
- 1:22:19music and computers 'cause they were all the devil, but they
- 1:22:22were all actually pretty cool. Yeah, no and and like.
- 1:22:25You know. Now we like we look at these
- 1:22:28books and laugh, but like back then, like this was kind of
- 1:22:32like, you know, the fear. I mean, I mean not the same, but
- 1:22:35but similar. The fucking movie with Tom Hanks
- 1:22:38about Dungeons and Dragons and and the kid that went missing.
- 1:22:42Made our. Lives, right?
- 1:22:44Years later made our life miserable playing D&D in middle
- 1:22:48school with my boys. Like we had to hide not from the
- 1:22:51kids. The kids didn't give a shit.
- 1:22:53They knew we were nerds because the parents, one inevitably one
- 1:22:57of the guy's parents, which sometimes would be mine, would
- 1:23:00flip out because they heard about the Satanic panic 10 years
- 1:23:03later. Oh, that?
- 1:23:05Oh yeah. That made it cool.
- 1:23:06It made it cool. But computers to me were also
- 1:23:08cool, 'cause they were Outlaw. And the guys building them back
- 1:23:11then were all kind of outlaw in their own way, too.
- 1:23:13Like, you look at a lot of their stories and they're pretty cool.
- 1:23:16Yeah. They're pretty fucking cool.
- 1:23:19Yeah, no, I mean people. People love to.
- 1:23:22Al. I think his name's Al Jolson.
- 1:23:24But the the guy that founded fucking Atari, you read his
- 1:23:27fucking autobiography. That dude was nuts.
- 1:23:29Like a rock star, man. Yeah.
- 1:23:32They lived wild and they they gave no fucks what the
- 1:23:36corporates were telling them because they didn't have to at
- 1:23:38the time. It's a it's a pretty cool time
- 1:23:41in like computer development. Yeah.
- 1:23:43And and the government came along and IBM D them all.
- 1:23:47Yeah, right up until Blizzard started having like drunken
- 1:23:53cubicle crawl, panty raid parties, you know?
- 1:23:57Yeah. Then it all came rolling back
- 1:23:58in. With the old days and it would
- 1:24:09put all these people out of work and so on.
- 1:24:11Totally. But nobody allowed these fears
- 1:24:15to guide the development of the industry.
- 1:24:18There was no executive order at that time saying that we're
- 1:24:22going to guide the development of the microprocessor to avoid
- 1:24:25all of these farms that haven't occurred yet.
- 1:24:28And instead, we're taking a a different approach here.
- 1:24:30And he makes the point that if the industry had been guided in
- 1:24:34that way, then it never would have achieved the potential that
- 1:24:37it ultimately achieved. And furthermore, he makes the
- 1:24:39point that a company like IBM would have been more than happy
- 1:24:42to work with the regulators to say, yeah, let's define a bunch
- 1:24:45of these rules to make sure that it doesn't go in this dark
- 1:24:48direction that everyone thinks it's going to go in and you
- 1:24:50would have gotten very extreme regulatory capture.
- 1:24:53Can I precog one of the crazy lines in this thing?
- 1:24:56Here are the precogs. Well here's one.
- 1:24:58When a foreign person transacts with an infrastructure as a
- 1:25:02service provider. So Azure, Google Cloud, Amazon
- 1:25:07to train a large AI model with potential with potential
- 1:25:10capabilities that could be used in malicious cyber enabled
- 1:25:14activity. They propose regulation that
- 1:25:16requires that I asked provider to submit a report.
- 1:25:20So. If you you have to know, you
- 1:25:24have to know it's a foreigner. It's using your API, so WS and
- 1:25:30then file Atps report. Oh my God.
- 1:25:34Fucking TPS report. And very.
- 1:25:36Fine question. What happens if you're a
- 1:25:37foreigner? That's.
- 1:25:38On Did you say, Did you say something?
- 1:25:43Yeah, I said ATPS report indeed, because it's basically saying
- 1:25:47the TP oh, the foreigner transacts.
- 1:25:49We'll keep that on file for what?
- 1:25:51Mostly for nothing. Yeah, well, that.
- 1:25:55Like 99.9% for no reason at all. Yeah.
- 1:25:58So I mean that that's that's basically the gist of I wanted
- 1:26:02to you know play they'll. Say they'll say terrorists, but
- 1:26:05how many people transact any industry with the United States
- 1:26:09company every day from either a foreigner?
- 1:26:12Or an American resident as as he was pointing out on an H1B visa.
- 1:26:17Yeah, well that, well, that's what I'm saying too that's is
- 1:26:21like they're so they're so afraid of that of like you know
- 1:26:24foreigners interacting with AI as if as if we're the only ones
- 1:26:29like you know pioneering AI. What?
- 1:26:32You know like like you know it's not as if China or.
- 1:26:37I don't know Saudi Arabia. It's not like they have tech
- 1:26:40startups either. And China is going to
- 1:26:42centralized theirs. They are going to be the
- 1:26:45communist computer gangster God, whether we like it or not.
- 1:26:47They they all, they already are. They already are in their in
- 1:26:52their. Yeah, it'll be.
- 1:26:54It'll be interesting to watch unfold further, but it's pretty
- 1:26:59it's pretty fucked up now. Yeah, I know.
- 1:27:01What? What do you?
- 1:27:03What do you think the Social Credit score system in China
- 1:27:06that we keep hearing out? What do you think that's all
- 1:27:08about, folks? It's all it's all AI driven.
- 1:27:11That's what I mean. They're the they are going to be
- 1:27:13though the one. If we don't compete and have
- 1:27:17like the freedom version of that then what?
- 1:27:21What then we all have the communist computer gangster God
- 1:27:25when it wins. Yeah.
- 1:27:27And it sends all your data to the Moon base, just like Francis
- 1:27:31E Deck said. Everybody laughed, but at least
- 1:27:34they're freaking sending it out into space into the fucking
- 1:27:37satellites. And he wrote that before
- 1:27:39Sputnik. Yeah.
- 1:27:41No, I actually I actually heard those France E deck things like
- 1:27:46a long time ago in some in some of Medicare's old streams
- 1:27:51actually because he's Medicare used to play the the I can't
- 1:27:55remember which exact exact. Yeah, anybody into like weird
- 1:27:59radio would have come across it at some point.
- 1:28:01It's it's like one of those things.
- 1:28:04And because it's just such an interesting not only the
- 1:28:07writings of the man, but the guy reading them with such
- 1:28:10enthusiasm and passion as if he almost puts himself in the mind
- 1:28:14state of the the madman. It's great.
- 1:28:17But then it's not so great when you, when you get older and you
- 1:28:20start to see the computer gangster God, the communist
- 1:28:24computer gangster God is starting to be real.
- 1:28:27Like a thing. And he's not a madman anymore.
- 1:28:30He's a prophet. That's not cool.
- 1:28:34I never wanted to live in the timeline where Francis Edek is a
- 1:28:39prophet, but Joe Biden is going to make that happen while he
- 1:28:45eats vanilla ice cream and drives us all into poverty.
- 1:28:49And then sends our kids off to war for either Israel or Russia
- 1:28:53or we don't hurt somebody. And and also shits his pants.
- 1:28:56We'll we'll we're doing it too. Can't talking to the Pope?
- 1:29:02You know, I do say that God has a predilection to favor the
- 1:29:06funny. And I mean, this is all very
- 1:29:09funny if, but it's not ha ha funny.
- 1:29:13It's sad, funny. Well, no.
- 1:29:14What? What?
- 1:29:15What? What God?
- 1:29:16What? What God never tells you is
- 1:29:18that. He does have a sense of humor.
- 1:29:21It's just the very dark and like, fucked up sense of humor.
- 1:29:26If I were God, I would find all of this hilarious.
- 1:29:29Yeah, but see like, but see like you.
- 1:29:33Maybe God's better, better than my soul could ever be, and
- 1:29:36that's the whole point. But but I find it hilarious.
- 1:29:39Yeah. Anyway, but because there's not
- 1:29:42much else you could do. I was just telling my I asked my
- 1:29:44wife a question. I was like, what do you think
- 1:29:46our most viewed episode of this whole year was?
- 1:29:50And she had no idea. And I was like, that's when we
- 1:29:52when I talked about going camping for the whole like 2
- 1:29:55hours. Yeah.
- 1:29:58Because everybody's sick to death of doom and gloom.
- 1:30:01So then what are you going to do?
- 1:30:02You you look at this and they're, oh, they're going to
- 1:30:04regulate IAI? Well, yeah.
- 1:30:07Google and Microsoft, they're going to jump on board.
- 1:30:09Well, as they wrote the fucking thing.
- 1:30:11No but but. And everybody's going to be left
- 1:30:13in the dust until they get out, competed by somebody from
- 1:30:16somewhere, whether it's here or somewhere.
- 1:30:19The whole reason why I wanted to bring the set though backs is
- 1:30:21because everyone, Because right now everyone is talking like
- 1:30:25Israel and Palestine and that whole thing and meanwhile right
- 1:30:31home. The tech sector is in is in a
- 1:30:34couple of crises right now. Also, the chip wars is a big
- 1:30:37deal. And while everybody's paying
- 1:30:39attention everything else, China makes moves on Taiwan, they've
- 1:30:44been making of aggressive moves for quite a long time.
- 1:30:47Exactly. Meanwhile, PSMC is claiming that
- 1:30:51the fucking manufacturers in Israel are never going to make
- 1:30:54like they literally they made it like a joke.
- 1:30:57The manufacturers are never going to out compete them
- 1:30:59because they're already at 3 nanometers and it's like.
- 1:31:02Basically fucked up, but there's many factories being built
- 1:31:08elsewhere, but it's going to take time for them to get on
- 1:31:10board. So right now, everybody's
- 1:31:12dependent on Taiwan for chips microprocessors, as he pointed
- 1:31:17out. Yeah, yeah.
- 1:31:19The basis of all of this shit you see before you in the in the
- 1:31:25dystopia that I've described thus far, including how you're
- 1:31:28listening to our voices right now.
- 1:31:31Is dependent upon the microprocessors, and we are
- 1:31:34currently only able to get them from Taiwan and China is
- 1:31:38basically threatening to blockade Taiwan now.
- 1:31:41Not open war, but would probably lead to it.
- 1:31:48Yep, unless we can hold out the supply chain until Intel and
- 1:31:52some other partners can get online in other parts of the
- 1:31:54world. But the supply chain still
- 1:31:56depends. Part of it depended on getting
- 1:31:59in contact with North Korea, which Trump was trying to do.
- 1:32:02That was kind of part of the point because they have natural
- 1:32:05resources, rare earth minerals that they're selling to China,
- 1:32:09but China's selling to us. So Trump's idea was, hey, maybe
- 1:32:14I could talk to this weirdo and convince him to just sell them
- 1:32:17to us and make his country a fortune.
- 1:32:20And he can still keep his totalitarian dictatorship
- 1:32:23because it ain't worth it. But at least we'll be on
- 1:32:25peaceful terms. Right.
- 1:32:28Which is called a compromise. And yes, it's still a horrible
- 1:32:31totalitarian dictatorship. Well, but.
- 1:32:35At least the people there have some more money.
- 1:32:38Well, you know, just just just. In industry, you know.
- 1:32:41Just bought. Just bomb them and that'll like,
- 1:32:44liberate them. That's what Nikki.
- 1:32:46That's what Nikki. That's what Nikki Haley wants,
- 1:32:49at least so. Yeah, we're fighting.
- 1:32:54We're just going to just bomb everybody.
- 1:32:55That's the way to settle it. Yeah, it worked so well in Iraq.
- 1:32:59You know how we have the access to their natural resources in
- 1:33:03Iraq that we went over there for?
- 1:33:05Oh yeah, that worked out fucking great, didn't it?
- 1:33:08How much is gas, Sammy? Oh God, like.
- 1:33:13Was it worth the war? Like 3 dollars, three.
- 1:33:17No, $4.00 a gallon now. Yeah.
- 1:33:20I. And how much was it?
- 1:33:24How much was it before the war? Fucking.
- 1:33:29I was in high school. I can tell you my sophomore or
- 1:33:33junior year it was $0.89. Holy.
- 1:33:37Holy shit. Yeah. 89 And the war happened.
- 1:33:42How much was How much was McDonald's?
- 1:33:44Warm for oil, remember? How?
- 1:33:47How much was, like, fast food back then?
- 1:33:49That's what I want to know. Oh shit.
- 1:33:52We had like the dollar menu, like the actual, when it was
- 1:33:55actually just everything was like a dollar.
- 1:33:57And they had good shit on there half the time.
- 1:34:01No, everything was fucking cheap.
- 1:34:02We, me and my friends would drive around.
- 1:34:05That was our fucking hobby. We would drive around listening
- 1:34:08to music and eating fast food. Did you ever spend $10.00 for
- 1:34:11one person on? No, five would have been the
- 1:34:17absolute Max if you were being a fat ass.
- 1:34:19Yeah, that. Yeah, that's my.
- 1:34:21That's kind of my point. It's like.
- 1:34:23And like a pack of cigarettes was like 2 bucks.
- 1:34:25Yeah, it's like, that's my point is like now like you go to
- 1:34:28McDonald's and just like a single meal, like once you add
- 1:34:34everything up, it's like close to like 10, more like $10.30,
- 1:34:38you know, cents. It's definitely, it's definitely
- 1:34:41on the higher side over 5, close to 10 almost always.
- 1:34:45Like. Like, like you can't.
- 1:34:48You can't afford to be a. You can't afford to be a fat ass
- 1:34:51at McDonald's anymore, even, Even if you want to.
- 1:34:54Because I. Don't know how people do it.
- 1:34:57I, I, I see people that like eat like that.
- 1:35:00And it's like, I mean, look, McDonald's is fine.
- 1:35:04It's like once in a while I don't feel like cooking.
- 1:35:07It's fucking a Friday night. The boy wants a pizza.
- 1:35:11You know, That's usually what we do as a pizza.
- 1:35:15But that's that's rare anyway. I I usually just cook my own
- 1:35:18shit. But it's also it's.
- 1:35:19Also, it's. Still, it's still that like the
- 1:35:21price of chicken, which is like my main my main meat.
- 1:35:26Because I got a heart condition, I can only do red meat a couple
- 1:35:29times a month and the price of chicken is almost doubled in the
- 1:35:33last, like I want to say, three years.
- 1:35:36Yeah, yeah, it's it's not, it's not cheap, that's for sure it.
- 1:35:40Used to be the cheapest meat, but also like it's lean.
- 1:35:44And I got I get the boneless, skinless breasts and they're
- 1:35:47perfect, right? Yeah, But now it's to the point.
- 1:35:51Like, that's actually an expensive endeavor.
- 1:35:53I have to plan out every piece of chicken to make sure I have
- 1:35:57enough. I have to count, you know.
- 1:36:00Yeah. I never had to count, but like,
- 1:36:03they're double the fucking price.
- 1:36:05And it's not like I got double the fucking money.
- 1:36:07More but but hey. If I had double the fucking
- 1:36:11money, then it might be fine. But hey, no warming tweets,
- 1:36:15right? Max?
- 1:36:19What's what's, what's just pointing to that beautiful flag
- 1:36:23you've got back there, I think. I think that kind of sums up the
- 1:36:27whole you know, if if we haven't made it clear yet on this show,
- 1:36:33if you don't take anything away from this podcast, don't look at
- 1:36:37me, Just look at Max's flag. In the.
- 1:36:41And it's been up since fucking 2020.
- 1:36:47Yeah, as soon as I had to change the number on it.
- 1:36:50This will be the third time I vote for Trump no matter what.
- 1:36:55If you don't have asked me, put will put me on this.
- 1:36:56Well, what about if Trump's not there?
- 1:36:58I'm gonna raise his name in. Well, what about?
- 1:37:00Who do you think is the chaos candidate Trump?
- 1:37:03It it'll, it'll be. That's who the chaos candidate
- 1:37:06is. It'll be.
- 1:37:07It'll be the third. It'll be the third.
- 1:37:10Good chaos. It's it's the chaos we need.
- 1:37:12We. Look, if you're hearing my
- 1:37:14voice, you're a little poorer than you were fucking 3-4 years
- 1:37:17ago, too. I guarantee it.
- 1:37:20Because ain't rich people listening to this fucking
- 1:37:22podcast because they would be put off by how much I kind of
- 1:37:26shit on them. Yeah.
- 1:37:29It's probably hard working people.
- 1:37:31No, like. Like.
- 1:37:33Like, like myself who find themselves, they they were in a
- 1:37:36good spot a couple years ago, OK, a really good spot.
- 1:37:40In fact. They maybe bought a property for
- 1:37:42the first time, or a car. Or they finally, because we
- 1:37:46lived under the Obama recession for a fucking decade and we
- 1:37:51finally started to have some fucking money.
- 1:37:54Yeah. No, we, I mean we there are a.
- 1:37:56Lot and now everything costs twice as much.
- 1:38:00But you got pretty much the same amount of money.
- 1:38:03There are there are a lot of young entrepreneurs who listen
- 1:38:06to this, you know, show and they can't start their businesses,
- 1:38:13you know? Right, because they're going to
- 1:38:14get regulated right out of the fucking market by God damn
- 1:38:17Google and Microsoft, who wrote this legislation to specifically
- 1:38:21keep them out. Yep.
- 1:38:24That this is them trying to close the door on your ass and
- 1:38:27everybody else who thinks independently from the DEI
- 1:38:30fucking cult. Yeah, yeah, they're going.
- 1:38:34The leftism that comes with it. Yeah, they're they're going.
- 1:38:38Oh, and and by the way, I love this, this whole notion from,
- 1:38:42like, the Lincoln Project types that think, well, Trump was so
- 1:38:45radical, he, like, exacerbated the DE.
- 1:38:48No, he exacerbated the DEI. No, motherfuckers.
- 1:38:53What happened was, if anything, Trump halted a lot of of the DEI
- 1:38:58stuff because all this woke stuff, the woke stuff, did not
- 1:39:03happen because of Trump the woke.
- 1:39:06Stuff. It happened in response to
- 1:39:08Trump. They weren't nearly this woke.
- 1:39:11They weren't nearly this woke until Trump.
- 1:39:14Like like Woke had just come around like between the 20 Tens
- 1:39:19and like 2015. But what galvanized them, what
- 1:39:22gave them A cause, what gave them an enemy was their
- 1:39:25Voldemort, as they used to call him, their Satan Trump.
- 1:39:30It was a movement without a real fucking defined goal until
- 1:39:34Trump, because they decided he was against everything they
- 1:39:38stood for and they stand for virtue and.
- 1:39:40Goodness and freedom and equality and all this fucking
- 1:39:43bullshit. And he stood against them in
- 1:39:46every way. Maybe.
- 1:39:47Maybe Trump. Maybe Trump accelerated it.
- 1:39:50But my point was like. Oh, he galvanized it.
- 1:39:54He galvanized it one. Movement.
- 1:39:56It was many before. But what?
- 1:39:58But what I But what I'm saying is that like Hillary Clinton was
- 1:40:03going to push this stuff regardless if she if she were.
- 1:40:09If she were. It wouldn't have been a culture
- 1:40:12war front and center like it was because they used that as a
- 1:40:16means to attack Trump. No, because.
- 1:40:19Publicly, and to excuse any bad behavior, including rioting,
- 1:40:23looting, theft, and yes, murder in the name of these causes.
- 1:40:28Because orange man bad. Like we all joke about it.
- 1:40:32But think about the root of that fucking joke.
- 1:40:35It's true. He gave them a boogeyman that
- 1:40:39turned a bunch of loose movements that one was about
- 1:40:42racial equality and one was about because they're only
- 1:40:45really interested in their own thing for the most part.
- 1:40:47Or they were prior to the Trump years, so BLM wasn't hanging out
- 1:40:52with the LGBT shit. But then there was Trump.
- 1:40:57There was one man that they could fucking all agree.
- 1:41:00That was the worst man in the world.
- 1:41:02The thing that's wild about this too, and this is something that
- 1:41:05like I was talking with my Israeli friend a few weeks ago
- 1:41:10was all these, you know, all these woke people went from
- 1:41:17complaining about anti-Semitism to now like actually like
- 1:41:22they're they're now like unironically outlying themselves
- 1:41:26with like actual like, you know anti Semites, you know, and it
- 1:41:34it's not just I. What I don't understand about
- 1:41:37both sides, to be honest with you, is the complete lack of
- 1:41:40empathy for that. Some people on the other side
- 1:41:44might just be kind of caught in a bad place.
- 1:41:47Yeah, I mean. Like, I'm not going to say every
- 1:41:50Palestinian is a Hamas flag waving fucking no.
- 1:41:54No, I'm not. Islamist and and and especially
- 1:41:57children like even if they are they kind of can't help that.
- 1:42:01So, like and and but the same of the Israelis is is most of the
- 1:42:04people getting hit by rockets and shit and ambushed ain't
- 1:42:08exactly fucking soldiers. Yeah.
- 1:42:11No, I I'm not. I'm not saying that like and I'm
- 1:42:15I'm not. Oh, I'm not saying you are.
- 1:42:17I just. I find it crazy that that's the
- 1:42:19choice people want you to make is to give up empathy for one
- 1:42:23side, right? No, and I'm not.
- 1:42:26Boggles my mind how fucking tribalistic that is.
- 1:42:30It's scary and I'm not. I'm not saying that.
- 1:42:32I'm not saying that that, Yeah, I'm not.
- 1:42:34Saying and I can't say it's like not right for Jews to be scared
- 1:42:38of that, because that's a scary sentiment, right?
- 1:42:40But but what? But what I'm also saying is that
- 1:42:43like I. Am a fucking full blooded
- 1:42:44Irishman and it's a scary sentiment, you know, but what?
- 1:42:47But what I'm also but what I'm also saying is that like is like
- 1:42:51the far left was always like you know was always like trying to
- 1:42:57hug Jews you know and being like we're not anti they were like
- 1:43:02they were like a. Lot a lot of Jews are on the far
- 1:43:04left, you know. Yeah well that's and the and the
- 1:43:07Nazis will point to that to say like it's they're the ones
- 1:43:10ruining the world or whatever. But like, it is a fact that a
- 1:43:13lot of specifically reformed Jews from like the New York area
- 1:43:17do tend to typically be of the like, far left variety.
- 1:43:20Well, would you, would you be shocked if I told you that like
- 1:43:23David Duke here, here's a here's a news story David Duke is now
- 1:43:31is now saying like. I was hoping you were going to
- 1:43:34say dead. Gone is now saying that Rashida
- 1:43:36Talib is like his new favorite person in Congress have.
- 1:43:41You. Oh, I bet.
- 1:43:42I bet. And the thing, the thing that's
- 1:43:43interesting with that is like him and like Richard Spencer in
- 1:43:46them, will like attach themselves.
- 1:43:48To causes. Because they know nobody wants
- 1:43:51their endorsement, Right? Right.
- 1:43:52Right. But.
- 1:43:53But attention for them fucking selves because they're sick.
- 1:43:57No, no, but, but but Max. Here's the thing.
- 1:43:59Remember, Remember when, like, remember when when David Duke,
- 1:44:05like said something out of Trump and the entire left was like
- 1:44:10even after Trump like disavowed David Duke, they were still like
- 1:44:13not good enough because David Duke like mentioned your name
- 1:44:16and just the fact that you mentioned so like I Trump.
- 1:44:20Trump quit. Trump quit the fucking Reform
- 1:44:23Party because David Duke endorsed Pat Buchanan.
- 1:44:26This is like historical you can look this up yourself, right?
- 1:44:30Right. But like.
- 1:44:31And he and he said that Pat he he said some choice words for
- 1:44:35Pat Buchanan over it. I understand both sides
- 1:44:38reasoning on it. And in later years they
- 1:44:40reconciled over this. Yeah.
- 1:44:41But like, yeah, the whole point was like, Pat Buchanan was like,
- 1:44:44I don't care what he said, I'm not going to say anything about
- 1:44:47him. And Trump was like, no, you have
- 1:44:48to denounce that guy because he's a piece of shit.
- 1:44:51Yeah, and but and like. And they turned around and tried
- 1:44:54to make that an association with Trump and David Duke.
- 1:44:56And he's like, yeah, the association is Trump thinks he
- 1:44:58is a piece of garbage, right. And that's what I'm saying is
- 1:45:01like the the corporal media was like harping on that thing for
- 1:45:04like forever, but yet have they said anything out like Rasheeda
- 1:45:09Talib being, like, praised by David Duke?
- 1:45:13No. No, they don't fucking care.
- 1:45:16They don't fucking care that she's openly anti-Semitic in the
- 1:45:19fucking so. The fucking house.
- 1:45:22And she has been for years. This isn't new for her,
- 1:45:25especially her and Ilhan Omar. If if you haven't fucking heard
- 1:45:30them, give their spiel about like how Israelis are occupiers.
- 1:45:35And then you haven't been listening because they've given
- 1:45:38AOC. Hasn't AOC said one thing about
- 1:45:41Jew shit and then got educated by like the ADL?
- 1:45:45Yeah. But, but even now she's she's
- 1:45:49standing with Palestine because it's the trendy thing to do on
- 1:45:53the left. I get it.
- 1:45:56And and it seems to be they want you to have the trendy thing to
- 1:45:58do on the right be like unironically, enthusiastically
- 1:46:02pro Israel. But my heart in in any war
- 1:46:05situation and This is why I'm anti war universally across the
- 1:46:08board, is to the other people that are there right?
- 1:46:14Well, I mean. And that that doesn't matter.
- 1:46:18I don't care what flag their fucking parents wave.
- 1:46:23I I don't. I don't really care.
- 1:46:26I I just wish people would stop killing each other.
- 1:46:28That's my that's my sentiment. It's corny, true.
- 1:46:33But what else do you want, though?
- 1:46:34Both their holy books say you shouldn't be doing that.
- 1:46:37Yeah, no, you, but like. It it, it is what it is.
- 1:46:42Like what are we supposed to do about it here?
- 1:46:45And and they want us to like, constantly focus on it and pick
- 1:46:47a side and get angry at each other and and my God, they tried
- 1:46:51to scale the fucking White House walls for fuck's sake.
- 1:46:55January 6th, they barely did fucking anything.
- 1:46:58They're trying to get in there and kill Joe Biden.
- 1:47:01And what what are you going to do about it?
- 1:47:02Is that a is it a terrorist group yet?
- 1:47:05Yeah, yeah. Like.
- 1:47:07He doesn't go far enough into one of their causes that they
- 1:47:10just found out about two weeks ago.
- 1:47:12But it's fucking trendy. So these white women are getting
- 1:47:14out there fucking going for it. They don't know a goddamn thing
- 1:47:17about the Middle East. Yeah, they don't know a goddamn
- 1:47:21thing about Judaism. They don't know a goddamn thing
- 1:47:22about Islam. They don't know a goddamn thing
- 1:47:24about the history of the colonization of fucking Israel.
- 1:47:27None of it. But they.
- 1:47:32But they're damn sure they're on the right side of it.
- 1:47:35And then so the other side. It doesn't matter how many you
- 1:47:37kill. I can't.
- 1:47:38You can't have empathy for the bad guy.
- 1:47:42Come on. And you're always the good guy
- 1:47:44of your own story. And your story is now attached
- 1:47:46to these guys. So they're the good guy.
- 1:47:48Yeah, that, that's that. That's the whole thing, right
- 1:47:53is. Yeah, I I pray everybody.
- 1:47:56Everybody stops dying for this and learns to live in peace.
- 1:48:01That's what I pray for. If that makes me anti-Semitic,
- 1:48:06so be it. If that makes me anti Islamic,
- 1:48:08so be it. But that's the truth.
- 1:48:10I mean, at at this point, I've been accused of both.
- 1:48:13So like, you know. It's whatever man.
- 1:48:18I wish people would stop killing each other.
- 1:48:21I'm not a big fan of holy wars. Yeah.
- 1:48:24I mean and and historically they don't, they don't end well
- 1:48:28either. Just look at the Crusades.
- 1:48:31It's It is the Crusades, in a way.
- 1:48:33Yeah. Well, well.
- 1:48:36You know it's still going on. Well, I hope it doesn't.
- 1:48:38I hope it doesn't last, you know with.
- 1:48:41The Christians have just moved aside for various reasons, yeah.
- 1:48:49Mostly. Mostly America.
- 1:48:50And like there's a there's an element of that in Zionism,
- 1:48:54right? Like Christian Zionism, Yeah.
- 1:48:57Some of them, that's their reasoning for why they're so
- 1:48:59enthusiastic is they think that if they bring the Jews back to
- 1:49:03Israel that eventually the temple will get rebuilt and they
- 1:49:07will bring about the end times. That's literally the point of
- 1:49:11being a Christian Zionist that you want to bring about the end
- 1:49:14time sooner. They don't even like, they don't
- 1:49:19even actually really give a fuck about Jews.
- 1:49:22If you think about it, they're the they're the vessel that you
- 1:49:26need to get your prophecy started.
- 1:49:29So you help them get there. Yeah, I know.
- 1:49:31You're you're right. So, all right, well, that's
- 1:49:36their kids. Their kids getting bombed on
- 1:49:39either side and my heart goes up to them and you know anybody
- 1:49:42else that's losing family members and I just wish that
- 1:49:45would stop, isn't that? Is that too corny?
- 1:49:47Is that too like? Are we in that jaded of a world?
- 1:49:52I can't even say that, no. I, I hope not, not in my book.
- 1:49:59So, but anyway, well, I mean I think we've, you know, I think
- 1:50:07we kind of covered all of our bases.
- 1:50:10You know, we brought up AI. Well, everyone else is talking
- 1:50:12about foreign wars. We're talking about stuff that
- 1:50:14is going on here at home because we do try and be different here
- 1:50:19on the. And it's going to be decided in
- 1:50:21the election. Inevitably, yeah.
- 1:50:24This is this is Joe Biden executive order.
- 1:50:26This is another thing you can run on free if you unshackle AI,
- 1:50:31yeah. Hashtag free AI?
- 1:50:35Yeah. And if one and one thing I one
- 1:50:39thing, I'll save this for the next episode.
- 1:50:41But Elon just released X dot AI, so we'll see how that goes.
- 1:50:50Have had a chance to play around with it at this time, but maybe.
- 1:50:55It's your website. Yeah, gone.
- 1:51:00Yeah, yeah. Well also X slash Twitter keeps
- 1:51:04crashing too so. Every now and again it says that
- 1:51:09Y'all last posted in 1969. Yeah, I don't.
- 1:51:14Know why? But all of a sudden everybody
- 1:51:16posted nothing in like March 3rd, 1969.
- 1:51:22I you know, I wasn't even, I wasn't even even born then.
- 1:51:28So like. I know, but you posted something
- 1:51:31and so did every everybody else on my fucking feed for like 2
- 1:51:35hours. You know there was a there was a
- 1:51:38bug where like there was a bug where I literally had to type
- 1:51:41out your whole handle to like tag you.
- 1:51:45It wouldn't it wouldn't populate in the little field which is
- 1:51:51which that's terrific. I I I had to double check to
- 1:51:54make sure you were still following me and vice versa.
- 1:51:57That's that's lovely so. Fix your shit.
- 1:52:03But thanks for the AII guess. Yeah, well, that that that you
- 1:52:10can't even use because it crashes.
- 1:52:12Every time you try and sign up for it, you get a four O 4
- 1:52:16error. So brilliant.
- 1:52:19Lovely. Yeah, I I now I now I'm really
- 1:52:23now I'm really feeling good about Tesla's software updates.
- 1:52:27So thank God I thank God I don't need a software update to use my
- 1:52:31wheelchair, because if I did, I'd probably be fucked.
- 1:52:36But anyway, we'll see you next when?
- 1:52:39We'll see you on Wednesday, folks.
- 1:52:41IG on that bitch and you know, we'll hopefully we'll have some
- 1:52:48more. Program your brain into the
- 1:52:50communist gangster computer. God, yeah.
- 1:52:54Yeah. See ya.
- 1:52:57Mull that one over for the next couple days, ladies and
