- 0:05Welcome to The Hypnotist, the show that gives you inside
- 0:09access to cutting edge hypnosis with real clients facing
- 0:12genuine. Issues.
- 0:13Brought to you by the hypnotherapist, demanded by
- 0:16celebrities, CEOs and even royalty, Adam Cox.
- 0:20These recordings took place live from Evans Clinic in London's
- 0:24world famous Harley Street, so get yourself comfortable and
- 0:31enjoy today's episode of The Hypnotist.
- 0:39Adam here and on this hypnosis session, you're going to be
- 0:42listening to a deep sleep hypnosis session designed to
- 0:47get. Really, really deep.
- 0:48Relaxing, rejuvenating sleep. And the client that I was
- 0:52working with on this particular session had a traumatic past.
- 0:57And part of that traumatic past meant that they were really
- 1:01distrustful of certain situations that involved in
- 1:05involved exploitation or power dynamics and things that seemed
- 1:09unfair or wrong with good reason.
- 1:13But part of their past was affecting their.
- 1:16Ability to sleep. Well, and actually move forward
- 1:20in life. So although this is a sleep
- 1:22hypnosis session, you're actually going to hear elements
- 1:25of acceptance and commitment therapy.
- 1:28You're going to hear multiple levels of disassociation, which
- 1:32I always tend to do when I'm working with people that have
- 1:34experienced trauma. Because you want to get further
- 1:37away from any kind of first person associative memories.
- 1:42And also an element of a reframe.
- 1:44And a reframe is if you can give something an empowering meaning
- 1:48rather than a debilitating meaning.
- 1:50So there's all this going on and what you're going to be hearing
- 1:53is the hypnosis session, but because it relates to sleep,
- 1:57there is going to be no awakening at the end.
- 2:00It has the dual option of the suggestion of awakening if it's
- 2:05time to awake. Or to drift off.
- 2:07Into a deeper. Sleep if.
- 2:09That's what they would prefer, especially if they're listening
- 2:12at night. Now, if you like the idea of
- 2:16hypnosis but sometimes you don't want to be listening to the
- 2:21introduction that I do and the branded intro, right now there
- 2:25will be a link in the description where you can
- 2:27download 22 different hypnosis sessions that don't have the
- 2:32intro or the explanation or the outro.
- 2:34It's just the hypnosis and it's super easy to download.
- 2:38You just click a link and you can get the downloads within
- 2:42about a minute. So if that appeals to you, if
- 2:44you like the idea of more hypnosis but without having to
- 2:48listen to it on the podcast, click the link in the
- 2:50description, download those 22 hypnosis downloads.
- 2:54You'll get them straight away. And if you like the idea of
- 2:56working with me directly, there will also be a link in the
- 3:01description in the show notes where you can book a free
- 3:04consultation call to Exlore working with me.
- 3:06So if you like any of those ideas, check them out.
- 3:09But for now, find a quiet, comfortable place where you
- 3:12won't be disturbed. Relax and enjoy the session.
- 3:37Take a deep breath in and as you breathe in, breathe in that
- 3:45resourceful feeling of calm and relaxation, and then release
- 3:48that breath. And as you release the breath,
- 3:52that's it. Close your eyes and as your eyes
- 3:57closed, feel a wonderful sense of release, just like tension
- 4:05that you've been holding onto. You're able to let go.
- 4:13That's it, breathing in deeper and exhaling for longer.
- 4:27As you breathe in and breathe out, scan your body for any
- 4:34signs of tension, and that may be a tightness in the jaw or a
- 4:42sensation in the neck or the shoulders, but allow that to be
- 4:47the Canary in the coal mine. There's nothing you need to do
- 4:54other than notice that as you breathe in that resourceful
- 4:59feeling of relaxation, allow yourself to sense that you're
- 5:06releasing tension. And maybe you notice some of
- 5:13those signs of tension changing. Maybe your breathing gets
- 5:21deeper. Muscles or tendons that were
- 5:26tense start to loosen. Your eyelids might get heavier,
- 5:35or maybe there's the thought, the sensation, the feeling to
- 5:39yawn. Just allow yourself to notice
- 5:47whatever you notice as your mind takes you deeper and deeper into
- 5:56a place of wonderful relaxation. The deeper you breathe, the more
- 6:09relaxed you become, and the more relaxed you become, the deeper
- 6:16you breathe. And as your body starts to relax
- 6:20more and more, your imagination awakens.
- 6:27And I want you to imagine a place of pure relaxation, place
- 6:35out in nature, perhaps near a body of water, a place where you
- 6:43would feel the sensation of a gentle breeze or the sunshine on
- 6:49your skin, or see unique animals, kind of animal that can
- 7:00glide, kind of animals that represent equality.
- 7:10And I want you to imagine in this place for some reason, I
- 7:19want you to imagine the most comfortable bed you've ever
- 7:24seen. And the logical part of your
- 7:28mind is wondering, why would there be a bed in this place in
- 7:36nature? But this is not reality, and
- 7:44therefore logic isn't necessary. I want you to imagine what it
- 7:52would feel like to be wearing the kind of clothing that you
- 7:57could drift off into a deep, rejuvenating sleep.
- 8:08I want you to imagine standing near to that bed, but I want you
- 8:15to see that there is a rope trapped around your waist and
- 8:20attached to a nearby tree. I want you to get a sands that
- 8:30the tree represents your past and the bed represents a feeling
- 8:42that it's finally time to let go of that past, to retain all the
- 8:49wisdom, but to break the tether of any emotions that are holding
- 8:58you back, holding you back in your sleep, in your work, in
- 9:04your life. And I want you to come to a
- 9:10conclusion. The rope around your waist stops
- 9:19you reaching that comfortable bed.
- 9:24And I want you to see, I want you to see some golden scissors
- 9:32encrusted with jewels. These scissors represent a
- 9:43decision to let go of the past, to retain the wisdom, but let go
- 9:52of the pain and the associations, and you can remain
- 10:02tethered to the tree knowing that you can't access the bed.
- 10:07Or you could use these gold jewel encrusted scissors to Cut
- 10:22the Rope as you consider this a psychological form of cord
- 10:32cutting, enabling you to really enjoy that restful sleep.
- 10:45Moving on from your past does not mean forgetting it, it just
- 10:51means not being attached to it anymore.
- 10:56Any pain, any trauma remains in the past.
- 11:01And if you're willing to Cut the Rope, let me know about nodding
- 11:06your head. That's it.
- 11:11So imagine using those gold scissors to cut the thick rope.
- 11:18And because it's not a string or a ribbon, you can't do it in one
- 11:21go. But you are determined.
- 11:26You keep gnawing away at that rope with the gold scissors,
- 11:33feeling a sense that this represents liberation, freedom,
- 11:42a real sense of justice. It is not just for you to be
- 11:52living in the future while still attached to the past.
- 11:58Justice is to be free of the past, not tethered to it.
- 12:08So cut away at that rope until it just falls down to the
- 12:12ground. And when you feel that you are
- 12:16free from the attachment to the past, let me know by nodding
- 12:22your head. That's it and feel a sense of
- 12:29freedom, liberation, empowerment as you then walk towards that
- 12:36comfy bed, placing your head on the pillow and feeling your body
- 12:44sink into the mattress, still out there in nature, but feeling
- 12:50that now is the time to really rest, to relax, to really allow
- 13:01yourself to let go of the past and embrace the future.
- 13:17Continue to breathe in relaxation and continue to
- 13:22exhale any tension and just allow yourself to feel your
- 13:32whole body relaxing deeper and deeper, relaxed eyelids getting
- 13:41heavier and heavier. You may even notice that your
- 13:46pulse or heart rate feels like it's slowing down.
- 13:53Because right now is your time. A time to heal, to rest, and to
- 14:03reconnect with who you truly are.
- 14:12I want you to imagine drifting off to sleep in this comfy
- 14:18relaxing bed, That bed in nature, breathing in fresh air.
- 14:26And I wonder if you could imagine what it would be like to
- 14:31be dreaming about a forest. And the forest is just as the
- 14:40sunsets. Maybe you could imagine seeing
- 14:50the low hanging moon and as the sunsets the moon gets brighter
- 15:01and there is a path in this forest.
- 15:06A path that feels safe, connected to nature and
- 15:12welcoming. And each step you take on the
- 15:17path, notice how you feel safer, more grounded, more at peace.
- 15:33And maybe you could imagine glowing creatures and they could
- 15:41be fireflies or small fairies. Allow your imagination to
- 15:46decide, but these tiny glowing lights guide you deeper into
- 15:55this enchanted world. And with each breath, another
- 16:02light appears. And with each glowing light,
- 16:09feel that another level of stress, anxiety, or injustice
- 16:16starts to feel like it's leaving your body, enabling you to drift
- 16:24deeper and and deeper, relaxed. That's it.
- 16:30And what if the path in the forest takes you to a clearing?
- 16:41A moonlit clearing in the enchanted forest.
- 16:48A perfect place to just pause. And I want you to imagine now
- 16:59there is an enchanted bed there in the clearing, a magical bed.
- 17:08And imagine lying on that enchanted magical bed there in
- 17:13the forest clearing, feeling like you're being held by the
- 17:18earth and protected by the stars and moonlight above.
- 17:28And allow those fairy or Firefly light that is dancing around
- 17:33you, lighting up the space feel like they're small, gentle
- 17:40guardians. Each light carries a message.
- 17:47You are safe now. You have made it through.
- 17:56You are stronger than you know. As you drift off into a second
- 18:07dreamlike sleep, I want you to think back.
- 18:13Think back to a time not so long ago.
- 18:20But imagine being the observer, perhaps, of something that was
- 18:29dark and undesirable, The kind of thing that's like a black
- 18:35hole and draws people in. The kind of thing that many
- 18:41people never escape. But I want you to see that you
- 18:47did, and you can consider this some form of test, trial or
- 18:59challenge. But when you face that test and
- 19:04that trial, not just in body but in spirit and fortitude, I want
- 19:17you to see and observe that hero within you.
- 19:27Every hero meets their nemesis, where their qualities and
- 19:35characteristics are tested, and the hero never leaves that
- 19:43challenge unscathed, but they do leave transformed.
- 19:52It's what if that traumatic time was the moment you faced your
- 19:58nemesis, the shadow that every hero must face, with the
- 20:08intention to undo you, to submit you, to draw you back in, And
- 20:17yet you found your way out, out of the trap, out of the fear.
- 20:28Out of the narrative that others try to write for you.
- 20:35And what if in doing so, you became more than who you were?
- 20:45What if you became who you were meant to be a part of?
- 20:53You could have believed that you were like that character
- 20:59Sisyphus, endlessly pushing the same stone uphill.
- 21:06But that's not the case. Not only did you reach the
- 21:12summit, but you reached the summit stronger.
- 21:23For you to be Sisyphus would have meant going all the way
- 21:29back, and yet you didn't. You moved forward.
- 21:37I want you to get a sense that everything you've been through,
- 21:44especially those things that were unfair, unjust, unwanted,
- 21:53contributed to a level of resilience, strength and
- 21:59determination and unleashed a strong sense of justice.
- 22:08A sense of clarity as to what is right and also what it is that
- 22:15you want. And the world may have tried to
- 22:22chain you to the past. You chose freedom.
- 22:34You've come through trials and tribulations.
- 22:39And what if life is constantly giving you these tests, not to
- 22:49hold you back, but to help you evolve?
- 22:56And what if this current test is not a test of survival, but of
- 23:04self worth, of tenacity and determination, A promise unkept,
- 23:14a mirage that always moves systems, processes designed to
- 23:25break and question. And yet you see it, you name it,
- 23:37and you feel it as injustice. But what if that feeling perhaps
- 23:50frustration or anger? Restlessness.
- 23:57It's the very thing that makes every superhero who they are.
- 24:06A superhero sees the injustice and aims to use their resources
- 24:14to make a difference. You see the injustice.
- 24:28I want you to get a sense that the more resourceful you are,
- 24:33the more able you are to navigate, mitigate, perhaps even
- 24:41change that injustice. The very fact that it bothers
- 24:49you proves that your values are alive and well.
- 24:56You care, You believe in fairness.
- 25:03And what if you can turn that feeling of injustice into power?
- 25:15Allow your mind, body and emotions to rest in that
- 25:22enchanted forest as you realize you are no longer the you from
- 25:30your past. You are not that vulnerable,
- 25:37frightened version of yourself, and you are certainly not the
- 25:42victim in this story. From this point onwards, you are
- 25:49the author. You decide the narrative, you
- 25:55get to write all of those remaining chapters.
- 26:02And I wonder what would happen if you gave yourself permission
- 26:13to really sleep well, to allow your body to sleep safely, fully
- 26:26relaxed. What if you sleep as someone
- 26:33wiser, as someone safer, someone free?
- 26:42Because you have clarity now. You have boundaries now
- 26:50connections. Now you have a voice and even if
- 26:59work feels like a battlefield or another game, you know who you
- 27:05are and you are not a pawn in this chess game.
- 27:15You are not overlooked or unworthy.
- 27:22You are the one that makes the moves feel that resourcefulness
- 27:31rising up as you come to the conclusion that the better you
- 27:36sleep, the more resourceful you can be, the more you're able to
- 27:44allow your body emotions to recalibrate, reset, to enable
- 27:51you to be the healthiest, happiest, resourceful version of
- 27:57you. And those whispers of injustice,
- 28:06they don't hold you down. They help you rise up.
- 28:12They fuel you. Soon as you finally feel that
- 28:18you can let go of the pain of the past, the stresses of the
- 28:24present, and the anxiety of the future.
- 28:29Allow it all to just let go. Right now.
- 28:35There is nothing to do so you can let go of any of those
- 28:40thoughts of work and meetings, bosses and promotions.
- 28:46Just allow it all to melt away because you have trained at
- 28:53altitude, you have faced real adversity and come out the other
- 29:01side. The strongest swords and Shields
- 29:10faced the fiercest furnaces, so harness that resilience and
- 29:26allow each breath to take you deeper.
- 29:29Each exhale releases even more, and your bed becomes a cocoon, a
- 29:42sacred chamber, an enchanted clearing where your mind heals,
- 29:52your heart restores and your soul expands as you give
- 30:00yourself permission to allow sleep to become your sanctuary,
- 30:05your safe space, A space of peace, of renewal and of
- 30:13profound evolution and transformation.
- 30:19And the deeper you drift, the more you realise you've never
- 30:24been this strong, this wise, this secure and this whole
- 30:30before. Soon as you allow any remaining
- 30:36thoughts of the day to melt away like leaves falling from a
- 30:42forest tree. Here and now, there is nothing
- 30:47to fix, nothing to prove, and nothing to change.
- 30:57You are safe, you are whole, you are enough as you drift deeper
- 31:03now into the deepest, most peaceful sleep, acknowledging
- 31:11that you are the hero, not the victim.
- 31:17So drift deeper now. And if you're listening to this
- 31:23at a time where you're ready to sleep, when I count from one to
- 31:2810, it will simply take you deeper asleep.
- 31:33But if you're listening to this where you want to awaken, when I
- 31:37count from 1:00 to 10:00, you will awaken.
- 31:42And if you choose to sleep, you will awaken refreshed and
- 31:45rejuvenated at the appropriate time to awaken.
- 31:53That's it. Still there in the Enchanted
- 31:57Forest, starting to count 123, 456, 789 and 10.
