- 1:00time for us to continue on with the Nick sher matter. Here are parks
- 1:06three and four from Hollywood. It's time now for Johnny Dollar, Dan Martin.
- 1:17Here. I was up the street. You listen, Jriff. They've
- 1:19traced Kathy O'Dare here to you. A nice little town of Branbury who has
- 1:22Nick Shuran's boys. One of them, a trigger man named Benny Stark,
- 1:25came out to the sawmill Hell a few minutes ago. I traded a couple
- 1:27of shots with him, but he got away in a car. Did he
- 1:30head north or back toward town Georgetown? I think you can't see the turnoff
- 1:33from here. All right, Dollar, You're packing a gun. Will you
- 1:36take a pickup truck and black bet turnoff, hold it until I can get
- 1:38somebody out there to relieve it. Right, how many deputies you got deputies?
- 1:42Oh? What about volunteers? Is this Benny Stark, the man Kathy's
- 1:46afraid of he's one of them? Then I'll have volunteers, twenty men within
- 1:49a half hour, armed with deer rifles, and every one of them a
- 1:53dead shot. Goodnight and every weekday Night Bob Bailey in the Transcribed Adventures of
- 2:05the Man with the Action Packed Expenser, caud America's Fabulous freelance insurance investigator Hers
- 2:09Truly Johnny Dollar. From Special Investigator Johnny Dollar, location Branburry, Michigan to
- 2:25the home Office Primutual Insurance Limit at Hartford, Connecticut. Assignment. The Nick
- 2:30Shuran matter expense account continued. IDAM ed three dollars sixty cents for two packs
- 2:37of cigarettes and a pint of applejack borrowed from the foreman's locker at the sawmill.
- 2:42I figured these as standard equipment for holding down a roadblock at ten degrees
- 2:45above zero, and Mike O'Dare agreed with me one hundred percent? Oh,
- 2:50I'll tell you one thing. They can make it out of corn RYE.
- 2:53Parley, make it at a gold if they want to, but they'll never
- 2:57come up with anything better than what they make out of actors. Scared here
- 3:00have a short run, Johnny, No thanks, I'll save it for later.
- 3:02Well, I'll just hear. It's got the taste of Indian summer in
- 3:09it. You ought to see this country around that time of year, Johnny,
- 3:14break your heart. It's a beautiful, man. It's beautiful now with
- 3:16the snow on, and there would be more so if there wasn't a killer
- 3:21running listener, Johnny, I want to ask you something about my daughter,
- 3:25and I want you to answer me honest, all right. It's no use
- 3:29trying to fool your She's here, all right, I know, but she
- 3:32hasn't told me what it was. It happened in New York, but she
- 3:36ran away from him somehow. I figured it was just as well not to
- 3:39ask you. You're sure if Dan Martin said practically the same thing. Dan's
- 3:44been in love with Kathy since she was twelve years old. He's a good
- 3:46man, solid, so I forget. Anyway, she was scared, scared
- 3:53half to Dick, and she'd come home for help, so we tried to
- 3:57help. What was it she wanted to ask me? Mister there you mentioned
- 4:00a murder case, Johnny. You didn't give any of the details, just
- 4:04said that Kathy was her witness. Is is she mixed up in this murder?
- 4:11And you wanted an honestancer? All right? I'm not sure? Ay?
- 4:15See, that's why I wanted to talk to her, get her story,
- 4:17the truth. I realized from the start she might be guilty. I
- 4:21don't think so, but it's a possibility. You may as well know about
- 4:25it. I guess you realize it wouldn't make any difference not to me or
- 4:29today. Oh yeah, I figured. In other words, you're with me
- 4:31as long as I'm trying to protect her, but you'll fight me if I
- 4:33find reason to think she's guilty. It's about it, Johnny. Well,
- 4:38at least we know where we stand, and I hope it won't come to
- 4:42what you matter. Car coming light on the trees there at the bend.
- 4:46Yeah, do you suppose? Maybe? Probably not, but you can't tell.
- 4:50Better get behind the truck just in case you'll have to shift into low
- 4:54the wedge past us and let me get that spotlight on. I guess I'll
- 4:59just another quick one. The wind cuts right through your bones. It's a
- 5:08dark colored sedan. It might be him. Funny had been hoping for two
- 5:12months if Cat he'd come home for Christmas, and they didn't figure I'd be
- 5:15out here in the woods hiding behind a truck waiting to shoot it out with
- 5:20somebody that wanted to kill. It's a crazy world. Keep your head down,
- 5:24astral. Yeah, just the driver by himself, wearing a dark cat
- 5:31Oh no, you know that kind of looks like why curly it is?
- 5:38What? That's Ted Perkins old wreck, no doubt about it. When the
- 5:42all right, you better wave him out past. He probably thinks we need
- 5:45help. Hey, it's all right, said, it's my good hand.
- 5:49Go ahead, go ahead, We don't need anything. Yeah, well all
- 5:54right, thanks. Anyway. Well, there's one thing bad people around here.
- 6:00They mind their own business and don't ask no questions, and they don't
- 6:04answer them often either. How's that Applejack holding out? Two long hours went
- 6:17past. Only three cars came out from the village, and each time a
- 6:21long moment of tension while we waited to identify the occupants, But all of
- 6:27them were townspeople. Then they didn't show. One truck came down the logging
- 6:31road from the back hills, loaded with dwarf spruce and fir peace on earth,
- 6:36good will toward men. We were waiting for an assassin, but the
- 6:42truck only carried Christmas trees. The night was crystal clear, with bright stars
- 6:46hanging low in the blackness, but it kept turning colder and colder, and
- 6:50believe in the apple jack didn't help much. And the wind too, changed
- 6:54gradually and blew fitful and gusty and strange. It's kind of storm come a
- 7:01blizzard. Maybe not tonight, tomorrow some time or tomorrow night. I know
- 7:08this country, know the signs. There's an odd feeling in the air,
- 7:12all right, there's an even order whining. My leg lag rolled over on
- 7:15it, putting it six years ago. Bother's me some in the winter till
- 7:19that we're so right before a storm. That's kind of a handy thing to
- 7:24have. Well, that's one way of looking at it, I guess.
- 7:28Like one time when Kathy was little, when her Moore was still alive,
- 7:32cried rostersoul. We had a big measles epidemic here in Branberry, and every
- 7:38night Kathy used to add a line to a prayer, kid say, and
- 7:43please let me catch the measles so I can stay out of school like the
- 7:46other kids. Now she's wanted as a witness in a murder case, and
- 7:51somebody's prowling out there in the dark trying to find her and kill her.
- 7:56Little Kathy, we never harmed anybody in her home life. Some things just
- 8:01don't make sense, Johnny. Some things never have. There was another time
- 8:07once when men like Benny were prowling in the dark trying to find a little
- 8:11child and kill him, and he hadn't harmed anybody either. That was nearly
- 8:16two thousand years ago. Yeah, sure it was. I like you,
- 8:22Johnny, Katy, you'll like it too and live a jail. Huh ah.
- 8:26There's a pair for that kid. Looks more like a mother did at
- 8:31her aid. Another car coming asterroll there. Yeah, so there is,
- 8:35And this just might be the one. Maybe I wish that apple Jack hadn't
- 8:41run out. But it was only a couple of men. Deputy Martin had
- 8:50sent out from town to relieve us and take over. Big men, calm
- 8:54and quiet, wearing plaid macinaws and heavy laced boots and carrying Winchester ninety fours
- 8:58over their arms. They told us Benny Stark had been seen. He'd come
- 9:03up from the west, driven onto one of the roadblocks unexpectedly, in a
- 9:07flurry of shots, he'd broken through. The men couldn't understand his persistence.
- 9:11They thought he'd run for it, get out of the area once his presence
- 9:15was known. I didn't bother to explain, to put him straight, but
- 9:18I knew Benny had never run, not now. He was a trigger man,
- 9:22a professional killer with a reputation at stake, and he had his orders
- 9:26to silence Kathy o'dair. A half hour later, we were back in town,
- 9:35turning into the main street. Around the village square. Strings of pilly
- 9:39lights and a tall pine in the center of the square blinked and sparkled as
- 9:41they swayed in the wind. Around one hundred cars and trucks were parked in
- 9:46the street and in the lot behind the town hall, and the sound of
- 9:48singing drifted out from inside. They're practicing carols and things for the big doings
- 9:54on Christmas Eve. He did beautiful. The men at the roadblock had given
- 10:00a description of Benny's car and the license number. It was just barely possible.
- 10:07Got something in mind, Johnny, Yeah, let's take a look through
- 10:11those park cars. I don't know, but it was me. I sure
- 10:16wouldn't be hanging around here. I'd stick to the tall timber. Yeah,
- 10:20Butt, you're not a city boy, and my tall timorous foreign soil.
- 10:22To Benny, he's only comfortable when he's close to a crowd. He the
- 10:26fellow that's supposed to have done that murder. No is the man he works
- 10:28for a cafe on a ex gangster, a man named Nick Shearn. Let's
- 10:33check that lot around at the side. I don't think he'd show here in
- 10:37front. He'd be taking a big chance showing anywhere. In a town this
- 10:41size, people know each other. It's his job to take chances, and
- 10:45he probably doesn't realize. What's that's the dan against the building with the side
- 10:50window broken shifting. Oooh one, that's his car, Johnny, Yeah,
- 10:58wait here. I eased my gun out of the holster and started toward the
- 11:03car. There were no lights in the lot, only the soft glow reflected
- 11:05from the packed snow on the foot, and the car itself stood in the
- 11:09dark shadows next to the building. I couldn't see whether anyone was in it
- 11:13or not. The singing seemed to swell louder as I approached. I moved
- 11:18slowly, watching for any sudden movement. The car was empty. It was
- 11:35time past time to talk to Kathy Adare and with a pressure tightening, the
- 11:39danger close to home now her father was ready to take me to her.
- 11:41We drove over to Dan Martin's house, where it turned out Kathy and her
- 11:45daughter was staying. Dan's mother had been looking after Dan was there when we
- 11:48arrived. Busy on the phone. Yeah, I know the car, all
- 11:50right, the one Jed bought last spring down in Bay City seven three nine
- 11:56two. Where was it parked? All right? Keep an eye out,
- 12:01Charlie so on Benny Stark and stole himself auto of the car took Jed Wharton's
- 12:05station wagon. We what for that? Was it better when he had?
- 12:09Charlie says, the steering gear was sprung. I guess it happened when he
- 12:11crashed that roadblock. Well, that was Kathy and the young and oh fine,
- 12:16they were asleep upstairs. Mom's next door helping missus. Barton stuff a
- 12:20turkey, Johnny, you figured it could wait till morning. I'm sorry,
- 12:26mister o'dair, I've got to talk to her tonight, all right, I'll
- 12:33go wake her up, mister Doller. No matter what she's done, don't
- 12:48hurt her anymore than you have to. As far as I know at the
- 12:50moment, Dan, all she's guilty of is withholding information, and most people
- 12:56would have done the same thing. Nick Suran's a rough boy to tangle with.
- 12:58She was scared, that's all lost her head. She never did belong
- 13:03in a city. She belongs right here in Branbury. This is her kind
- 13:07of life. Why did she leave? Well, we argued one day and
- 13:16she said she'd show me. So she ran off and married that fellow.
- 13:22He treated her bad, finally left her, but she was too proud to
- 13:26come back. She wouldn't have come back now she hadn't have been so scared.
- 13:33Well, maybe it'll work out now. She ought to stay, her
- 13:39kid, ought to grow up here, learned the outdoors in the woods like
- 13:41Kathy used to know it. Or she roamed through those hills like a young
- 13:46Indian. Knew every trail in that forest, every timber camp and trapper's cabin
- 13:52from here to the ridge. I remember one time the two of us were
- 13:56up toward what's the matter? What is it, mister oldare you said?
- 14:01You didn't Kathy were sleep upstairs? That what you said? Dan? Of
- 14:05course that's what I'm Mike. What's happened? They're not up here, They're
- 14:09not up there anywhere else in the house. There Arden, Johnny Dollar,
- 14:35Mike, go there, Johnny, and you signed a Kathy. No.
- 14:37The boys of the highway turn off haven't seen her or Benny either one not
- 14:41a sold out that way in the last hour. What about there at this
- 14:43harmony Nothing Mike, No fresh tracks on the logging road, no sign of
- 14:46her. And the worst thing is it's starting to snow again here in town
- 14:50two. Dan Martin's just phone. No luck. She hasn't shown up at
- 14:54any of the roadblock She's she's around somewhere, and we've got to find her.
- 14:58We will, Mike, and it's got to be fast. There's a
- 15:00blizzard coming up. And that gunman, Benny Stock is around two. Maybe
- 15:03he's already found her, maybe even took her from the house hard and jail
- 15:07boat. Maybe she didn't get scared and run. Maybe it was him.
- 15:09Maybe she I stop at that kind of thing. It's not gonna help any
- 15:13I don't know, but I've got a half baked idea and I may be
- 15:16right. Stay there at the house. I'm coming back to pick you up.
- 15:18And one thing you can do while you're waiting, what Johnny pray from
- 15:28Special Investigator Johnny Dollar, location, Branbury, Michigan to the home office Primutual
- 15:33Insurance Limited, Hartford, Connecticut. Assignment the Nick Shuran matter, or more
- 15:37important, find Kathy O'Dare Item twelve on expense account four dollars and ninety cents.
- 15:43A tank full of gas for the county pickup I'd borrow from Deputy Sheriff
- 15:46Dan Martin. The falling snow was thickening now and the wind was rising and
- 15:50steadying in the northwest. The night had all the makings of a blizzard,
- 15:54and wherever Kathy and her daughter had gone, we had to find them before
- 15:58it hit. It was ten fourteen PM when I pulled up at the side
- 16:03porch of the Adare house and Kathy's father came hurrying out to the truck,
- 16:07leaving the door open behind him and butting his heavy mcinnaws. He ran and
- 16:11he knew was my utter thing. All right, get in, shut the
- 16:14door. Hey, we'll get a foot of snow before money with a zero
- 16:18win behind it. Now, listen, Mike, I think we can forget
- 16:21any idea that Benny found her and got her out of the house. In
- 16:23that case, she wouldn't have taken your car. He's already got one.
- 16:26I know I thought her that, And he wouldn't have given her time to
- 16:29dress herself in jail the way she did, with heavy clothes and snow boots.
- 16:33And she wouldn't have taken the rifle. And what has happened. She
- 16:34knew I'd be there to talk to her sometime this evening. I think she
- 16:37lost a nerve, couldn't face it, decided to run again. Maybe so,
- 16:41but where Johnny? That's what I want you to tell me that Now.
- 16:45I don't mean you knew what she was going to do and where she
- 16:47was going to go, or how do you think I can tell you?
- 16:49Look, Kathy knew about the roadblocks Dan Martin set up to trap Benny Stock
- 16:53knew where they were, so she didn't want to be seen. Then naturally
- 16:56she'd avoid them. She couldn't not, as she wanted to get away take
- 17:00the highway to Flint or Detroit. She'd have to pass one of them at
- 17:03least, But she hasn't passed any of them. So she's still in this
- 17:07area, and I don't think she ever meant to leave it. But then
- 17:08Nann Martin said Cathy used to spend a lot of time in the woods when
- 17:11she was growing up. He said, she knew every back trail in these
- 17:15hills, logging camps, trappers, cabins. She did. She used to
- 17:18worry that dickens out to be the way she Yeah, Now where would she
- 17:22go, Mike, if she wanted to hide out back in the hill somewhere.
- 17:25There's a lot of places, Chippewa canyons, one here for timbercamps abandoned
- 17:30in the winter, some cabins along it. No, No, she couldn't
- 17:34make it. There's a roadblocked before you get to the turnout there. It's
- 17:37gotta be someplace she could reach without being seen. There's workers flats, but
- 17:42that's twelve miles of foot trail. She wouldn't try it in this weather,
- 17:47not with Gill along anyway. Then there's Lake Pine. No, it's over
- 17:53the other way Pine Lake Rows that runs northwest of town. Not much better
- 17:59than the wagon road. The DAN didn't put a block on it because it
- 18:02dead ends at the lake about five miles our what's out there? Nothing at
- 18:06the lake, but you can go on up Pine Creek about four miles on
- 18:10foot, and there's some cabins. Maybe a waste of time. Johnny must
- 18:12get gone expense account. It am thirteen six dollars and ninety cents one dry
- 18:22cell electric lantern, an extra pair of batteries picked up at the Branberry Hardware
- 18:25Company. And the way through town, the falling snow, driven by a
- 18:29bitter cold wind, formed a dense curtain in front of our headlights, and
- 18:32from the turnoff all the way up the narrow, twisting road to Pine Lake,
- 18:34I had to keep the truck in second gear. There were car tracks
- 18:37in the road, all right, several of them, but they were covered
- 18:41now with a new blanket of snow, and it was impossible to tell whether
- 18:44they'd been made earlier tonight or a week ago. The road ends a couple
- 18:49of yards past this next turn, and we'll soon know. There's four or
- 18:53five side turnoffs clearance where you can pack. We'll have to check out of
- 18:59them. I guess, all right, that draw there on the right,
- 19:02that break there in the trees. That's that's where the Pine Creek Trail starts.
- 19:06I will swing in, Mike. I guess we won't have to check
- 19:08those turnops. Eh. Is that your car over there under the trees.
- 19:14Yeah, that's it. I left Mike waiting in the cab while I went
- 19:18over to look inside the car. It was empty, abandoned, and there
- 19:23was no note, no clue of any kind to tell where Kathy's gone.
- 19:26I raised the hood and felt the motor block ice cold. The car had
- 19:30been here for some time. I flashed the lantern on the ground and followed
- 19:34the faint tracks made by two pairs of snow boats the end of the deep
- 19:37draw that led back into the hills, the start of the Pine Creek Trail.
- 19:41I snapped off the lantern and stumbled through the snow back to the truck.
- 19:48But you're fine, Johnny. It's them all right, they've headed up
- 19:51the trail. I found tracks in the snow. Then we'd better get started.
- 19:53Oh wait, I'll go after the mic. You take the truck.
- 19:56Go into town, find Dan Martin, bring help as fast as you can.
- 20:00That storm's getting worse. No you don't, I know there is darting
- 20:03a pet trailer with a blizzard coming on, and if you think you've got
- 20:06to protect me, But I said, I get on, Mike. There's
- 20:07no time, and you're wrong. I'm not protecting you. I'm protecting myself.
- 20:11What do you mean that bum leg of yours. I don't want you
- 20:12on my hands too, along with the girls. All right, Johnny,
- 20:17I'll go after day and hurry, Mike. I'm depending on you. Yeah,
- 20:23good luck, Johnny, see you, Mike. I stood there in
- 20:37the snow watching the headlights of the truck move away. Finally they swung around
- 20:42the bend and disappeared, and I suddenly felt more alone than I ever had
- 20:47in my life. I've gotten rid of Mike. Deliberately sent him away on
- 20:51purpose, because I hadn't told him everything. I could see no point in
- 20:55tearing his heart out. There was another car parked on beyond Kathy's neil,
- 21:00hidden by the trees, Jed Wharton's station wagon, the car that had been
- 21:04stolen by a killer named Benny Stark. It took me half an hour to
- 21:15cover the first mile, and the storm kept getting worse. The beam of
- 21:18the lantern penetrated a bare thirty feet ahead of me before it was smothered out
- 21:22in the white blackness of the night. After a few hundred yards, the
- 21:26tracks I was trying to follow and nearly disappeared. Snowbover were lotted out.
- 21:30I gave up looking for them and stuck to Old Mike's description of the trail
- 21:33following the left bank of the frozen creek. The drifts were deeper down along
- 21:37the creek bottoms, and the going was rougher, but I didn't dare leave
- 21:41it to look for better footing. It was my only landmark. The trail
- 21:44itself was buried. Any man who lost his way to night and wandered off
- 21:48into one of those side gullies but want us straight to his death. An
- 21:56hour passed, then an hour and a half, or two hours. Maybe
- 22:02I lost all track of time and distance. The wind cut through my clothes,
- 22:06and the numbing pole crept into me deeper and deeper. Gradually, the
- 22:11walking, stumbling, breathing, even thinking became automatic, and without feeling,
- 22:15the world itself seemed to narrow down to a tiny circle close around me,
- 22:21and all beyond was chaos, blackness and roaring storm. I tripped over fallen
- 22:26logs and floundered back to my feet, dropped my landin and recovered it,
- 22:30broke through the crested brists and struggled for footing, and kept on moving in
- 22:40the weird nightmare of the blizzard. I could highly recognize reality when I came
- 22:44face to face with it. When a beam from my lantern touched him,
- 22:47crouching by a tree a few yards away, I could barely accept him as
- 22:51being real. He'd been watching my light as I approached, waiting for me.
- 22:55It was Benny Stark, with his gun leveled and named fool. Benny
- 23:00prop that gun. A curtain of snow swept between us, then plotting out
- 23:12the side of them, and I was grateful. I turned and stumbled on
- 23:15into the storm, moving in pitch darkness, now except for the ghostly glow
- 23:19from the snow covered ground. The second shot had smashed my land, and
- 23:23I had nothing left to go by but instinct and luck, and they weren't
- 23:26enough. Within fifteen minutes, I was hopelessly lost. That's when I started
- 23:40hearing the music miles from no place where there couldn't be any music except inside
- 23:47my head. The cold and fatigue were finally doing their work. I knew
- 23:51the signs. The next step was to start wandering in circles smaller and smaller
- 23:55ones, and the last step to drop exhausting and go peacefu. This weep
- 24:00peacefully and puminently, but the sound kept growing louder, and I moved in
- 24:07the direction it seem to be coming from. It couldn't be just illusions.
- 24:11It had to be real. Hello, Hello there. Then suddenly, only
- 24:23a few yards away, a brilliant blaze of light exploded from the darkness,
- 24:26and it seemed that a golden haired girl was standing in the middle of it,
- 24:30And for a moment, my sanity tottered, who's out there? My
- 24:33golden vision was wearing blue jeans and a flannel shirt and was holding a rifle.
- 24:37She looked exactly like the photograph I'd seen of Kathy Adare. And the
- 24:41blaze of light came from an open cabin door. Who is it? Speaker
- 24:45for our shoe, ken hold of mistair? It's Johnny Dollar. Are you
- 24:57getting warm now? I don't think I'll ever get warm again. You will
- 25:02if you don't move away from stove a little. The back of You're sure
- 25:03you're starting to smoke? Yeah? I thought I was beginning to feel something.
- 25:07How's the firewood. There's plenty. There's plenty of food and radio.
- 25:12If I hadn't heard that music had a blunde right on past this cabin.
- 25:15We've got everything. You can hold out for a month if we have to,
- 25:21I hope we have to. What about your daughter, su are right?
- 25:23Sure? She's fine? The picnic for her a camping trip. She's
- 25:30sound asleep back there. And Eleen too, dreaming about Santa Claus. I
- 25:33suppose I wish I could. How did you find me, mister dollar?
- 25:40Huh, guess work. I was born under a lucky star. I wasn't
- 25:45oh on all. I think you've been pretty lucky considering everything, more so
- 25:49than your landlady back in New York, missus Grappler, what do you mean,
- 25:55pretty stark? Want to see her? Tried to find out where you
- 25:57were. When she wouldn't telling me, broke her arm. No, it's
- 26:03a rough game, so dear, trying to play it cozy with a mobster
- 26:07like Nick Sheran. You know, of course, that he sent Benny here
- 26:10to find you. You'll have a hard time finding me in this pace.
- 26:12He did find you, Maybe he followed you from the house. I saw
- 26:17you drive through town anyway, I ran into him back down the trailerways.
- 26:22I thought you were chooting a while ago. You did. He tried to
- 26:25ambush me. He thought he had the drop and he wouldn't give up.
- 26:30I had to kill him. There will be another intriguing episode in our story
- 26:49of the next Sharing matter tomorrow. Tomorrow the showdown, victory, and then
- 26:56disaster when a visitor to the little town of Branbury turns out to be dead.
- 27:02Join us, won't you? Yours Truly Johnny Dollar? Yours Truly Johnny
- 27:22Dollar is starring Bob Bailey, is transcribed in Hollywood, written by Les Crutchfield.
- 27:26It is produced and directed by Jack Johnstone. Be sure to join us
- 27:30tomorrow night, same time and station for the next exciting episode of Yours Truly,
- 27:36Johnny Dollar. This is Roy Rowan speaking Welcome back. This is just
- 28:41such a great serial. I love this program. It really is remarkable and
- 28:51it's you know, when you take a look at the plot, it's about
- 28:56uh, Johnny uh trying to protect a woman from a hired assassin, and
- 29:07still there's something, you know, just really warm about the way the program's
- 29:12done. And so much in this works. I particularly one thing I think
- 29:18that is really amazing about radio and we don't hear it as much in modern
- 29:29programs or have any opportunity, is when you have the character who is experiencing
- 29:37something as the narrator and their voice just starts to change as they you know,
- 29:42as really it's up to the voice and it's up to the music and
- 29:48sound effects to tell the story. And this is actually pretty incredibly done.
- 29:56Outstanding job by Bob Bailey, And I'll will say that if you have the
- 30:00app this might be one in this whole serial might be one you want to
- 30:06starve, because really it's just a remarkable program and one of my favorites in
- 30:12the Johnny Dollars series. And like I said, an oddly enjoyable Christmas cereal.
- 30:21So all right, well we'll be back on Friday with the windup.
- 30:25This is going to be interesting, so I hope you'll be back there for
- 30:27that. Join us tomorrow we'll have a Nick Carter Christmas special in the maintime.
