(Acts 4:23-31; Ps.2:1-9; Jn.3:1-8) "No one can see the rule of God unless he is begotten from above." "Princes conspire together against the Lord and against His anointed," we are told in our psalm as well as our first reading. But their rule shall be shattered "like an earthen dish" by the power of the Spirit and God's anointed One, to whom He gives "the nations as an inheritance." And in the Book of Acts we see the apostles begin to collect such inheritance "in the name of Jesus," the "holy Servant" of the Sovereign Lord, the King He has set up "on Zion, [His] holy mountain."
