- Amanda: What is up, guys? Welcome back to another episode of Let's Talk Football Married Edition. It is Monday, October 5th. I'm Amanda, and that over there is my husband Drew. And boy, do we have a shit ton to talk about as we wrap up week? as we are slowly wrapping up week number four, the injuries Drew: But Amanda: were plentiful. Drew: but let's start with the most important thing. Amanda: No, I don't really I I don't think we need to start with anything. I think we're good. I think we just dive right in. I'm top performers, injuries, performer, Drew: Here we go, brownies. Here we go. Whoo hoo. Amanda: high performers. We could talk about there's so much to talk about. Why waste any time? I do recall though Drew: You wanna talk about high performers? Let's talk about Quinshaw Judkins and Denzel Boston and that defense. Amanda: that I was like, I would start with John Judkins, and you were like, Would you really? He's done nothing. I was right on that. I'll take my flowers. I mean, for the sake of our conversation. Drew: Doesn't matter. Browns won. Lead division leading AFC North leading Denver Broncos. Denver Broncos Cleveland Browns, sorry. Amanda: I've I beg to differ that the audience would be like, Amanda, you're right. Anyways, yes, unfortunately, the Steelers did fall to the stupid Browns, but nonetheless, it happened, and here we are, and it was what it was. I was sad when the fate was sealed. Drew: Dealers suck. Amanda: All right. Well, today's episode obviously we'll be going over way more than just the Brown Steelers game, but we're gonna do our normal. We're gonna talk to you guys about our top performers and disappointments over the weekend. We're gonna go over all of our big injury news because shit, we've got a lot of it. We're gonna get you prepped for waivers. We also do have our first week five where there will be some bye weeks. First time if you've experiencing this, it could be a little bit of a clusterfuck, so we're gonna talk a little bit about that. But the first thing we're gonna start with is some players we might be having a little bit of trust issues with. So we're gonna dive into a few popular players here and have a little bit of discussions on trust issues. Drew: Yeah, first one that I have some trust issues with is Quinch on Judkins. So being a Browns fan, I don't typically like to have Browns players on my teams. I don't have Quinch on anywhere. So like I've got even more trust issues, but like do we trust him now? He you know, five points week one, half PPR, week two seven point three, eight point nine week three, and then he just finally broke out. with the eighteen point six against the aforementioned terrible Pittsburgh Steelers. i is this a real breakout? Should we be targeting this player in trades? You know, what do you think? Amanda: Yeah, I I think that it is an opportunity for a player who could be having the breakout. I think for the biggest reason is that we are seeing a fairly competent Browns offense. So we know that the Drew: Mm-hmm. Amanda: run game is easier to get going when the pass game is also going. And while Deshaun Watson is not the, you know, most amazing quarterback in the universe, he is showing us that he can get the pass game going right now. We saw Casey Concepcion and Denzel Boston both get going in that game, fan in as well. So I think that is why. I'm not ma if I'm the Quinshawn manager, I'm I'm excited finally. 'Cause I'm like, Okay, the offense looks productive. That gives me an opportunity for the red game to get going. So yeah, I do think we could be looking at a potential breakout there. Drew: Okay. Yeah, I mean I I I feel better about the situation just because the offense is better than what we thought than what we thought they would be. So like going into the year I did not want any Browns players because the offense looked terrible, which duh, because Deshaun's been garbage for f six years, right? Well he doesn't look like complete shit anymore. Like he he doesn't look like his Pro Bowl self back with the Texans, but like he is by far the best that we've seen him in Cleveland and it's not even close. So Amanda: Correct. Drew: The offense is moving. yeah, I just I'm interested in pieces now, so I was just wondering what your take was on them. I also want to know what's your take on Trevor Lawrence because you you're he's your dude, and I've been saying Amanda: I know. Drew: the entire time that I I don't think it's sustainable and Amanda: I know. Drew: it's looking like it's not sustainable. Amanda: I know. I I mean he the thing is it's it's hard because he's been accurate and productive. He's been a good quarterback, right? Like there's no issues. Drew: a hundred percent, yes. Amanda: It's just that it hasn't translated into fantasy production, mostly because like we aren't getting the passing touchdowns, which makes it hard. Like the Jags have been scoring. They've been putting up good games, scoring with their offense, but we are just the run game Drew: That that's the issue is Amanda: is sniping everything right now. And we're not Drew: That that Amanda: seeing T Log it used to get into the end zone either. Like You know, a Josh Allen Drew: Sure. Amanda: where even when their pass game goes to shit 'cause they have no receivers or everyone's fucking hurt, Josh Allen's still putting the game in his hands. And it's just it's not like that right now. And so, yeah. Drew: Sure. Yeah, that's the that's the issue is the team is winning, they're scoring points, they're moving the football. It's just not translating into great fantasy success for for T Lal. It not he hasn't been killing you, but like Amanda: T-Law. No, he hasn't caused me to lose a week. Like I roster him in my the league that like I love the most is my my girls' league. And like he hasn't killed me. I've been still productive. Things have been fine. Drew: Sure. Amanda: But also, how long do you do you not caution yourself, right? Like I'm in my head starting, I have a very good team. I don't really want to make changes to it, but like I have thought someone has two really great quarterbacks, their team's ravished with injuries. They have Tyler Shuck. And I've been like, can I should I be trading something away to just get myself a secondary quarterback and then decide who I want to play week to week? Drew: Hmm. It's it's that or like to me it's Trevor Lawrence is not a weekly starter like some people, like you, thought he was going to be after Amanda: Mm-hmm. for sure. Drew: the way he finished last year and then had a good week one. It's like, all right, we have finally have a weekly guy. I don't I've never thought he was that guy. I I still like I think it's being confirmed now that he's not. And it's not because he's playing poorly, it's Amanda: Yeah. No. Drew: because he's not needed. And last year when he finished the year off so well, a lot of it was his Amanda: Heat was needed. Drew: a lot of it was his legs though. So in fantasy quarterbacks Amanda: Yeah. yeah. Drew: that use their legs tend to have a lot higher floor. And I don't think that's there. So I think if you have relied on him to be your weekly guy, it's time to look for another option. Not saying get rid of Trevor Lawrence, but like Amanda: no. Drew: have another option on your team that you can play from week to week. And I think it's more of look at the matchup. Don't just assume it's gonna be a good fifteen plus point performance from T Law, which fifteen plus is not that lo not you know, not a ton. But he's come up with a six point two and a thirteen point one, so Amanda: Absolutely. Tell me how you feel about David Montgomery. Cause we like when we saw him go over to Houston, we were like, Yes, he's gonna be that dude. He's gonna lead the backfield. Week one confirmed that for a lot of us. And then it has been interesting since then. How do you feel about David Montgomery? Drew: not great. I think he was he was always gonna be that steady guy that would give you a floor every week and occasionally give you a good game. It's just week one kind of spoiled us 'cause he had a monster game. but I mean since then week two, six carries and two catches, week three thir eleven carries and two receptions, week four ten carries and one reception. He he's spl he's truly splitting the backfield with Woody Marks and frankly hasn't looked that good. The Texans offensive line is still not fixed. They're still really bad. So all of the running game has been bad and Monty's never been that really good receiving threat. So I I'm a fool. If you can trade him and try to get value from him, I would absolutely be trying to do it. because I just I I don't see the the week to week value from him. His floor's just his ceiling's low. And his floor's just not as high as we thought it was. Amanda: Yeah, yeah. How do you feel about Woody Marks in that situation? Do you feel like he's a guy you can trust, or are you both kind of trust issues on honestly the entire backfield right now? Drew: I like Woody Marks than I do David Montgomery. I I I think he's got more juice than David Amanda: Mm-hmm. Drew: has left in his legs. So and in an offense where you're not getting a high yards per carry because the offensive line just isn't making the holes, y you need the explosive play to be able to have fantasy value. And to me, Woody Marks has the ability, much like Ramondre versus Henderson, Amanda: Travion. Yep. Drew: yeah, I the floor is lower with Henderson, just like it's lower Amanda: Mm-hmm. Drew: with Woody, but the ceiling in my opinion is is typically gonna be higher. I know Mont Monty had the one huge game and I know Stevenson had a good game this week, which can happen, but it's more likely that that Woody breaks a fifty yard run than it is Monty does. Amanda: Yeah. All right. Last guy that I have a question for you on is Dalton Kincaid. He kind of like Drew: Mm-hmm. Amanda: really hit us with a lots of attention. Drew: Mm-hmm. Amanda: Like it like what's it called love bombing. He really love bombed us for the first few weeks and then just was like poofy Drew: Yeah. Amanda: gone. so how do we feel? Now, obviously there's a lot to talk about there because we there is injuries and there's issues and I have some I have Drew: There's always injuries. That's the pr Amanda: some feelings about it, but give me your thoughts on Dalton Kincaid. Drew: I I think he is what is it, a sheep and wolf's closing clothing or whatever it is. Like I the the dudes just I had him for a couple of years in a dynasty league. I traded him before the season, this this offseason, really for like a draft pick and and nothing because I just didn't wanna go through the experience of knowing how good and valuable he is when he's playing. But one, he gets hurt too much. And then two, he's just not used like Ever since Stephon Diggs diggs left, there is not a single receiver or receiving option that is like Josh Allen's go-to guy, where this dude will be targeted week after week, like a CeeDee Lamb or a JSN or all these other teams have these guys, right? Josh Allen just spreads the ball around a lot. And that offense is so predicated on running the football with with Cook, with Josh Allen running near the end. Amanda: James Cook. Letting Josh be Josh, yeah. Drew: Letting Josh be Josh, he's gonna make big plays, but he's just not gonna hyper target anybody. So to me, I'm not reli I don't wanna rely on a guy that could have seven targets one week and one or two the next week. To me, I want consistent targets, consistent ability or or opportunities. It's just not there for him. I mean, fifteen and a half points week one, nineteen week two, and then four point eight and one point two. Amanda: eight one point two. Drew: So like I'd be shipping him off for Juwan Johnson. If I could get Juwan Johnson for Dalton Kincaid, I would do it a hundred percent. Amanda: Yeah, I don't think anyone's giving you that. I wouldn't give you that. Yeah, I guess Drew: I don't know the name. Jo Amanda: there's there's high and like he did have high points. And I guess like you can argue on the other side of it of like, okay, yes, they're dealing with wide receiver injuries and DJ Moore. Does that bring Dalton Kincaid more targets? Do they go back to the game script of, you know, obviously they won. They didn't win this past week. They won week three, but they lost this week. Do they go back to the game script of what were we doing when we were winning? We were targeting Dalton Kincaid more. Do they look at something like that? Maybe. Drew: To to me, that is trade bait talk. So when I go and I want if I want Tucker Kraft, yeah, Amanda: I agree, I agree. That's what sell. Drew: if I want Tucker Kraft, if I want Jawan Johnson, if I want one of these guys that gets opportunities every week, that's what I'm going back to is like look what he did the first two weeks and then they just lost and DJ Moore's hurt. Like sometimes you just gotta be persuasive, and these are the types of things that you wanna talk about. Mm-hmm. Amanda: It's that's how you do it. Yeah, yeah. It's it's the greatest because I was thinking about it. I was like, could that be the case? And I was like, I wouldn't want to risk it on it. I think that there's way too much what ifs. And again, like Josh Allen is Josh Allen at the end of the day. And but I was like, that would be a great thing to take into, you know, wanting to get this player moved for sure. Drew: Sure. Or go to the Josh Allen manager and maybe they have a tight end in that Amanda: Yeah. Drew: middle range that we've talked about that you could say, Hey, why don't you stack Josh Allen with Dalton Kincaid, double up those points and and try to move on from there? And like, look, he's gonna have big weeks like he did week one, but Amanda: Yes. Drew: he's also gonna have what he's had the last two weeks. And Amanda: Cooper Scoopers. Drew: that is just to me, that's not unless I've got Brock Bowers or Trey McBride, like to me the tight end position is I need a consistent can I get at least eight points every week from my Amanda: Every week. Drew: guy and I'm going to with Jawan Johnson and I'm not with Dalton Kincaid. So I would prefer Jawan Johnson and then shoot for this guy on my receivers and running backs. Amanda: All right. All right. Well, let's move on. We're gonna talk a little bit about, we're calling this the trade block and we're just gonna talk about c I was gonna say clients. That's not the right word. Players, these are our players that we are either interested in trading for, aka we want to go out and get right now. We think you can get them and they will be very valuable in the next several weeks, or that we would trade away because we think that Drew: Sure. Amanda: they are at the top of their game right now and you better move them before they shit the bet on you. So talk to me about trade for candidates. Drew: Yeah, my my first trade for candidate's gonna be Chase Brown. and this is pretty simple. The fantasy points has not equaled fantasy success yet, but it will. So if you look at Chase Brown so far this year, first of all, he's getting seventy-five percent of the work, which is that's bell cow work. It's very rare to get up that high in today's NFL. So great. sixteen Attempts, 20 attempts, 13 attempts, and then nine attempts this past week. So running the ball, you know, he's getting plenty of attempts, but even with the nine attempts this week, he had eleven targets. So the targets went up. So he's getting opportunities in the I mean, he's been 20 plus opportunities in three of four weeks so far. So he is getting the opportunities. He is producing a decent amount of yards on those opportunities. He had eighty. What is it? 81 yards of total offense this past week. He had eighty in week one, eighty-two week two, seventy, sixty-nine very nice sixty-nine on in week three. Amanda: Mm. Drew: So like the production is there. The dude scored one touchdown so far this year. So the touchdowns will start to be there. Their receivers are a little bit banged up right now. I I think he is a fantastic trade for candidate that you might. be able to get h not at a discount because, you know, he is coming off of some pretty you know, pretty good week with the amount of targets that he just had. But I think that you could get him for maybe a big time player that is overperforming that has a tough schedule. Amanda: Yeah, I I agree. And Chase Brown was one of those targets that people went after last year. He had a very so well, even worse start to the season last year. It was actually abysmal. And people were very upset Drew: Mm-hmm. And finished great. Amanda: with him. And he was one of those, like in our league, someone did go and trade for him. Traded Romadunze for Chase Brown. Chase Brown skyrocketed Romadunze did jack shit. So like it's a good time to go after him. my trade for candidate would be Parker Washington. he is coming off of sev two, well, a decent week three and a very, very terrible week four. He scored two points. well, how many points did he score in half PPR? That's full PPR, I guess. I mean, one yeah. One yeah. One point two. Drew: one catch for seven yards, so a point one point two or something like that. Amanda: Yeah. So a really, really bad week number four. And I think this could be an opportunity to say, Hey, is that manager, you know, hyperbolic, frustrated, ready to move on. I think this is a great trade for target. That is their number one guy. Yes, they're gonna use Jacoby Myers. Yes, they're gonna use BTJ. His usage on the Drew: Mm-hmm. Amanda: field though, he's on the field 80% of the time. He's there. so they're going to continue to keep using him and I think that'd be a no brainer trade for target in my opinion. Drew: Hundred percent. It was just this is one where capitalize off of somebody if somebody's got Parker Washington and they are one and three or two and two at the Amanda: Yes. Yes. Drew: end of this week or and four and they need pieces and Parker Washington just gave d one or two points and they're pissed about it, go and try to get Parker Washington. Dude just it was a bad week. It was weird. I watched a lot of that game. It was really weird that he wasn't more involved. And it's not something that they're gonna do week in and week out. It was just an odd game. All right, I got another one here. I'm gonna go with George Pickens. George Pickens is a monster on the field that just hasn't been scoring a lot of touchdowns, and it's almost entirely that. no, he has Amanda: He hasn't scored any yet, right? He hasn't scored any touchdown this year. Drew: zero touchdowns on the year. He's on the field eighty plus percent of the time. He it's exactly what he did last year. The only difference is he just hasn't scored yet. And he's put up okay numbers. I mean, he hasn't crushed you in really any of the week one was pretty bad. But other than that, he hasn't he hasn't crushed you. He just hasn't really won you the week yet, which means that he's also available to try to go get. Now it's gonna cost a decent amount to get him, but I think it's absolutely worth going after George Pickens. Six targets, eight targets, eleven targets, and then three targets this week, but he did have seventy five yards on two catches. He had a big play, so Amanda: Big play. That was his only points. It was it was it was hard to watch for a while, I'm not gonna lie. Drew: Yeah, even if he just comes back to the mean on touchdowns and, you know, it doesn't go crazy, but he just comes back to to what average is. Like last year he had nine in his one year with Dallas. Now C D wasn't there for a portion of the season, but I mean, he had three, five, and four in his first two years. So even if he comes back and has four touchdowns and continue to do what he's done, he will be more productive than what he's been so far this year. and their schedule looks Very good. So e they have one of the easiest strength of schedules for wide receivers over the the rest of the season. So I think now's the time before he has that big two touchdown game and becomes untouchable. Amanda: Yeah, absolutely. Once that happens, no one's gonna give up Pickens. They're gonna be waiting for it. Do Drew: Yeah, you're you're done at that point. Yep. Amanda: you think Pickens, would you consider him more of a no, I I I don't agree with this, but I think some people are looking him more at more of like boom or bust. Like he's not always going to be productive. Do you think of him like a Jameson Williams or do you think he has a safer floor? Drew: So that was the name I was gonna bring up. Jameson Williams just had a really good game. If I could go out and trade Jameson Williams for George Pickens, I would do it right now. I don't know if you can get that done, but I would, or even if I had to give up Jameson Williams and a bench piece, like I don't know, a cr Chris Rodriguez or something like that. Like Amanda: Mm, mm-hmm. Drew: I would go do that. I do not see him he is boom or bust more than Jamar Chase and CD and all these guys that are ones. Amanda: God, yeah. I don't think he's boomer boss like Jameson Williams though. Drew: He's not full on Jameson Williams or people have been playing for a while. Mike Williams used to be that guy. played for the charts like huge well, I d there's no boom there. Amanda: yeah. Q J. Q I call him Q J. Yeah, I know, but he used to be a boomer boss guy. Drew: Yeah, he's not at that level. He is way too it. He's more involved. He still gets consistently targeted. He's not gonna go out there and I mean, could I guess anybody can, but rarely does he go out there and give you like two fantasy points like Jameson Williams has like half of his career. So no, I love picking. So how about you? You got another one? Amanda: Yeah. All right. Well go you know, honestly, I think this one's a hard conversation because like I have mixed feelings on it. I think you could look at Garrett Wilson as a trade for candidate. However, number one, you're still dealing with Geno Smith, and what is his likelihood of staying consistent through the season? Obviously it a bad had a bad week, so this is a good week to go get Garrett Wilson if you want him. Drew: Mm-hmm. Amanda: Because we're coming off of a shitty Geno Smith showing and a bad production for Garrett Wilson. His targets are there, right? So seven, seven, Drew: Sure. Amanda: thirteen, four. Obviously, this past week sucked. targets are there. I I just worry a little bit about matchups. They have Cleveland, New England, Miami. I'm not overly worried about those three, but then we walk into the Raiders, we walk into Kansas City. I don't know. I worry about how Geno Smith will fare for the remainder of the season enough to give me production for him. But if you are hot on Garrett Wilson, you need a wide receiver one that is is a target. Do you worry about Adion Mitch Adion? Adion? Addion? Drew: It add and I Amanda: Adonai, you know it sounds like a a dinosaur. Adonai Mitchell coming back and Drew: And I Mitchell. Amanda: taking targets from Garrett Wilson. Drew: No. Amanda: No. Okay. Drew: No. That's like saying Jamison Williams taking targets away from Almond Raw. He doesn't. Amanda: I agree. Yeah. Drew: It's just is it game scripted to throw the ball enough or not? I do want to mention one more before we go to trade away. Woody Marks, we talked about him a little bit in last segment. Amanda: Mm-hmm. Drew: I think he is a good, very cheap val ja very cheap piece you can go get that could end up being a difference maker on your roster as the season continues. Amanda: Specifically with bi weeks and stuff coming up, I think this is a an an aw a good one. Yeah. That's a good one. Drew: Y yeah, he to me he's a flex with benefits. Like he's a guy that if you have a lot of bye weeks or injuries, you can play him whether Monty's there or not, because he's getting fifty percent of the work and you know, always has a chance to score. but I I think he's got a chance to take over more work in that backfield as the season goes on. It might not happen, but it's not gonna cost you a lot to go get him. So that's kind of a speculative, maybe you look and You know, let's say this week somebody's got Rasheed Rice or Xavier Worthy or Tet McMillan or, you one of the those are the by the buy players this week. And maybe they need a receiver and, you know, we'll get to it later, but the waivers do not look good this week. So Amanda: Mm-hmm. Drew: it's a good week to try to find those teams that have bi week players that maybe need another receiver, and then maybe you've got a bench player that you don't need that plays a receiver, that then you could trade for Woody Marks to just kind of fill out that running back room because running backs are harder to get as the season goes on. injuries really make it difficult. You know, you could teams play three receivers on most snaps. they only play one running back. So there's a lot less availability for them. So just a speculative ad that I think could could pay out. Amanda: Yeah. And then some trade-away candidates here. we'll start with the first one being Debo Samuels. He's had really good back-to-back productions or multiple productions over the years so far. However, this is the best it's gonna get from Debo. There is not much more you can hope. Like, this is the top of his game. Number one, he's old. He's been in the league for a while. We didn't expect him to be a relevant part of the 49ers offense, really at all, until The injury shitstorm took over, and he was made and forced to be in that position. Not only that, they're using him in a lot of gadget-based plays. This is just the best you're gonna get out of him right now. He's old, he's obviously at an injury risk. And I think with his high point scoring ability right now, use him to go get somebody else. Let someone else see the shiny object syndrome of high point scoring. You know enough about the lore of Debo Samuels. And move on. and again, I think you could get enough for him to make it valuable coming off of several good weeks back to back, too. Drew: Sure. Absolutely. I agree with that one a hundred percent. here's one that I think another one that I think is a huge trade away targets. Jalen Warren for from the Steelers. He has had really good success over the last two weeks. And Rico Dattle's going to come back. So I don't want 50 or 60% of a trash offense, which the Steelers are, just like their whole team and organization. so I am every single time, yep, I hate him. Amanda: You just have to dig the damn knife, don't you? Just have to k Uhhuh. Drew: ev so I Jaden, I I think you can get a decent amount of return for him and make your team better. And I don't I think his ceiling was the last two weeks. I think those are the best weeks that he'll have this year, unless Rico gets hurt again. They're not going to not play Rico. They're gonna play both of them. So Amanda: Yes. Drew: his workload will go down. Amanda: I do agree with you on that one. it's hard because I like the Steelers, but and Jalen Warren's like the only piece of the Steelers that you could have that you didn't completely hate yourself about. but no, I do a hundred percent agree that it's it's gonna go down from there. Drew: Sure. Amanda: last one, trade away candidate, Tet McMillan, and this is a contextual, so like I know, right? I know. So keep in mind Drew: What did you see what he just did last night? You're kidding me. Amanda: a couple of things. Number one, he is by this week. So like Sometimes it can be harder to move players on by. nonetheless, also you're not trading away Tet McMillan for nothing. You're trading away Tet McMillan if you need a lot. Specifically, I would look like if I need a very valuable running back and I have enough wide receiver depth to cover my ass, and I could move Tet to upgrade in a running back position or to give me more depth in my running back position if there's an injury that came up or something like that. You only want to do this if you can get a very, very, very, very large return. This wouldn't be a I wouldn't do something like Tet McMillan or a Parker Washington. You don't want to go lateral in that regard. You want to be able to upgrade that, not downgrade on it. So it's a consideration. Yes. Pickens and what he marks. Drew: If I could do if I could get Pickens and a piece, like let's say I needed an upgrade at tight end, if I could do y if I could do Pickens and Woody marks for Tet, I would do that. Because I think Pickens rest of season, his floor is basically the same as Tet, but I think his ceiling well, I think their ceilings are about the same. I think it's a lateral move there. But I think you also get a piece like Woody. Amanda: Yeah. Upgrade. Yeah. Drew: Yeah, you g you get more bench depth there or running back depth that could end up being a piece going into the future. So Yeah, I don't mind that as long as you get a really big return. He got y yeah. Amanda: They do have a hard season, end of schedule too, end of year season two. Drew: They absolutely do. Amanda: All right, well let's get into some injury news and updates. Unfortunately, run us down the laundry list here of big names. Drew: Yep. Everybody's favorite part of the week. injuries. Lamar Jackson left at halftime. It was the very last play of the first half that he got tackled from behind. kind of rolled his ankle. He did not return. They were up by a lot. So I'll I'll I'll say that. I they were up by enough to where it didn't really matter that he came back and they were playing an awful team. So he was fully dressed, he was still dressed, which means I th he could have come back in the game if they needed him to. they they called it day to day, but he is getting an MRI to d to determine the severability. So we'll update everyone on Thursday's episode to see what is going on there. Marcus Mariota, MCL MCL sprain, so he got hurt. It was Amanda: That was rough. I felt so bad. Drew: Jaden Daniels ha still hasn't played since he hurt his elbow, although with the Mariota injury and the team Needing some wins. I would expect him back this week myself. I I might Amanda: Me too. Drew: be wrong, but I expect him to play this week. Caleb Williams obviously didn't play and Bears did come out and say Tyson Badgett will start in week five. So Caleb will still not be back this week. real unfortunate one here. Saquon Barkley pulled up while he was running down the field, non-contact. It is his hammy additional test today, so we'll have more information by the time Thursday's episode. comes back around. Kyle Banungay hurt his thumb after having a monster game. Amanda: Such a good game. Drew: Yeah, he's having tests done today, so we still don't know the severity yet, but keep an eye on that. Jamar Chase left the game with a concussion. He's got a clear concussion protocol in order to come back. that's pretty fifty fifty nowadays, whether you know it used to be they'll be back next week for sure. Recently it's been yeah, Amanda: They're way more cautious now. Drew: we recently it's it's Not a guarantee they're gonna be back. So check reports on that. Along with that, T. Higgins, an an adductor and groin injury. It was late in the game in which he dominated. he Amanda: Yes. Drew: tried to continue. He couldn't. I'm gonna take a very g educated guess here and say he is not gonna play this week. Amanda: No, he will not play this week. I can almost bet your bottom dollar on it. Drew: Yep, Rasheed Rice, another hamstring, pulled up in the first quarter and did not return. It's a hammy, so I would expect three weeks. Taekwon Thornton. Amanda: They do have a bye. Drew: They do have a bye this week, which is good for them. Taekwon Thornton, speaking of the Chiefs and a bye week this week. Amanda: taekwondo! Drew: Dude was having a monster game. Had to have been the game of his life. And his Mm hmm Amanda: literally right before right when he caught that ball, I was like waiver wire target, like this is gonna be a great waiver wire target. And then I literally look up, we're at like dinner with our friends and I look up and I'm Drew: And his ankle went floppy. Yep. Amanda: like, his ankle, his foot, his foot. No one saw it. And it's just like pointing the other direction. Drew: He got up. It was a deep pass. He caught it, tackled from behind. The defender landed on his ankle in a in an awkward way. But you couldn't tell what it was right away. And he got up to celebrate his catch. He stood up, celebrated for about Amanda: Adrenaline. Drew: a half a second from adrenaline, and then fell immediately back down because his ankle was the wrong direction on his foot and flopping. Yeah. It was bad. Amanda: He was just pointing and this other guy came over to him, like, Are you okay? And he's just like pointing like no one realized that like the TV's just had it on and I was like, I don't think they realize his foot is going the wrong effing way. Drew: Yeah, it was disgusting. So, anyway, ankle dislocation and the the most recent reports is that was all that it was is just dislocated ankle, they put it back into place and he left on crutches. So knock on wood, he will be okay, 'cause those can have complicated he could have other issues that are more life threatening. Amanda: Well, an ankle that you have to literally run on, whereas Jane Daniel's elbow that he doesn't use as his throwing arm a little different. Drew: Sure. Ladd McConkey injured again. this time it's his foot. So the the season of Ladd and the Chargers is continuing. that team sucks so bad. Amanda: Bad bad. Bad bad. Drew: DJ Moore reaggravated the same shoulder injury. It's not believed to be long term, but I the more he plays without sitting out, the longer this is gonna continue to reaggravate. So I think they just need to sit him. Pat Bryant, high ankle sprain. Card it off, he's not gonna play for a while. Amanda: Whoo, the depth. I we were like going through some of the rosters, like talk when we were going over getting notes for like trade for trade away candidates. We're like, can't trade Drew: Mm-hmm. Amanda: him, can't trade him, no one here, no one here. Like it Drew: Yeah, I know. Amanda: there's so many injuries. Just like really just like making it really hard to like trade for or trade away because you're like, I gotta just hold on to my guys. Like, what do I do? Drew: Yeah. Yeah, a lot of it's a lot of it's gonna be finding value in the margins and trying Amanda: Mm-hmm. Drew: to find teams in your leagues that are and four, one and three that are desperate or two and two that are desperate and trying to upgrade positions because of their needs. So they desperately need a win or their season's over and it's gonna sound bad, but you gotta try to take advantage of and They're desperate to make something happen. So take a player that's really good on their team that just hasn't quite been performing and Amanda: Mm. Drew: hope their season turns around and flip that for a a steady Eddie on your team that's, you know, not gonna score twenty five points, but it's gonna get ten. So they're gonna be happy with it, but you have the ability to go higher. Amanda: All right, let's get into our top performers of the week. So we'll go off of bad news and pipeline into my favorite type of news, good news. So let's talk about our top performing quarterbacks. These are quarterbacks who scored over 20 points this week in fantasy football, half PPR, obviously. And the first day right out the gate, just like fucking Drake May. I had to laugh at that one being at the top of the list because He has just been an absolute shitstorm and he still was kind of a shitstorm. But Drake May at twenty-seven point two half PPR fantasy football points. We've got Joe Burrow, Aaron Rodgers, Kirk Cousins, CJ Stroud, Bryce Young still holding it down. Drew: Did you say CJ Strout with a T? CJ Strout? Amanda: Fear I did add a T to the to the name. Feet CJ Stroud, Drew: Joe Montagna. Amanda: Bruce Young, Jared Goff, and Jameis Winston, which had a very Jameis Winston-esque game with three touchdowns and two interceptions. I was like reading the sat line and was like, what Drew: So roller coaster ride. Amanda: a good, famous, Jameis game. That was good. Iconic. It always is. Drew: Yep. It's a roller coaster ride. Yeah, the big biggest ones here. Aaron Rodgers had another good fantasy game. still not a reliable guy week to week. Kirk. Amanda: Not at all. But a good i there could be a potential good streaming option if you're in a fucking desperate situation. Drew: Could be. Kirk Cousins is a better streaming option 'cause his season Amanda: Absolutely. Drew: of resurrection is continuing. Amanda: just good old whole well hearted Kirk Cousins. Drew: Yeah, Drake May I'm still not sold on. He played the Bills and the Bills defense is not good. So Amanda: Absolutely not. Drew: CJ Stroud coming along. Bryce Young's still having a good season. Jared Goff, you know, can stream from time to time. So pretty good week. let's go to the running back position. Kyron Williams. Thank goodness for Kyron Williams. Amanda: Yeah. the Kyron Williams my gosh, Kyron Williams thirty-one point seven fantasy points and also that hit he got hit on when he was like in midair and Drew: Went up in the air and did a s h they call it a helicopter. Yeah. Amanda: I gasped and I couldn't believe he fell okay and he wasn't hurt and he got up and he still scored right after that. I was like, get some Kyron. But obviously the lead back too. And they put Kyron in. Drew: And look at this. It was a it was a game they needed to win that was close and Kyron out touched Koram by all. Amanda: Yes. It's still so hard to tell like when they're on the field, like if you can't see the full number, who it is. So I saw someone score and I'm downstairs running on the treadmill. And I was like, who was it? Who was it? And then I was like, they had to score. They Kyron in. And they was a quorum. Like quorum was in previous to that. So it's it's funny. Kenneth Walker, I mean, the man that you are, I love you. Javante Williams, Kyle Manunga. We talked on him a little bit already. Emmanuel Wilson with more work from the Jarian Price. Oof, I just stuttered that really loud. Drew: yeah, I guess I didn't go over that one. Jedarium Price, Amanda: yeah, Jordarian Price. Drew: yeah, it was put on IR like Friday or something, so Amanda: And then didn't they also go out and talk to somebody, Joe Mixon? Drew: Duh, Joe Mixon came in for a visit, but that's a depth piece. That doesn't matter. Amanda: But more for you though, talking about like how long this injury might actually be. Mm-hmm. Drew: yeah, that that means that generic price is probably pretty hurt. Amanda: Yeah. Cause like they don't just go do that if he's actually going to be back shortly. Drew: No. Amanda: Yeah. So Emmanuel Wilson definitely capitalized on his higher usage. Chuba Hubbard, Jonathan Taylor, Quinshawn Judkins, Ollie Gordon, which we'll talk about here in a hot second. Ramondre Stevenson, what didn't he get hurt too? Drew: I did not see. Amanda: I think he did. I'll look in a minute. Jameer gives Ashton Genty, who continues to scare everyone with a slight did I scream? Drew: Something just shrieked in my ears. Amanda: Ashton Jedi was my screech moment of the day. he did have like he did twist his ankle, but like he was fine, he came back in. But like I swear to God, that man has given everyone a heart attack with his ankles since the preseason. And then James Cook as well, make it the top of the list. Give me your Ollie Gordon thoughts. Drew: Hundred yards on nine attempts and a touchdown. one I I didn't see much of the game. Did he have one big run? Amanda: Yes, he did. And also his it was funny, so his usage shifted or the usage of the Miami offense shifted. So at first it was Gordon had Drew: Fifty six percent Amanda: yeah, Gordon had nine carries and then Wright had five carries. but then after the half, Gordon played fourteen second half snaps, Wright only played two. So like they definitely made a shift where it looks like Ollie Gordon's gonna get the most of that work, you would assume. Drew: Yeah, I I mean it's it's a valuable it's a semi valuable piece on a terrible offense. So like it's not a chan good, but it's definitely a guy if if he's gonna get enough of the work. I mean, eleven attempts is better than you get with backups on other teams, so you're gonna end up playing him, right? and it already has been better than the shit that Green Bay's been putting out there at running back. So if you picked him up on waivers, you're probably gonna end up playing in most weeks, at least if you're in a ten team or deeper league. for those of you that siccos that play eight team or six team, you might not, you know, play but Amanda: Are you crazy, huh? Drew: decent. but a lot of big name guys. nice to see Javante have a productive day. The three touchdowns definitely helps. Amanda: Yeah. No, I was pissed because I have Dak and I need a Dak to throw a touchdown, not let Javante Williams snipe all the fucking touchdowns. Drew: Yeah, we talked about Gordon. We talked about Quinchon earlier. I guess the other two guys to talk about really are Emmanuel Wilson and Kyle Manungay. Amanda: Mm-hmm. Drew: Emmanuel Wilson, to me, if they just give him the work, which they did 21 carries, three receptions, score two touchdowns. Amanda: They've been struggling too, yeah. Drew: If as long as they continue to give him the work and not George Helani, and he can get Sixty to seventy percent of the work, he's a great play. Amanda: I was gonna say, if he can at least keep 60% of that work, like I am okay with giving 30% or whatever to George Elani and then whatever's left to anyone else. But if he can at least keep 60% of that, I'm very I think you'll be very high and he is productive. He's looked so good when they give him the opportunity. Calmanunga I also think is a good option. Now I you wanna watch the thumb injury. I think we're all scarred from Jordan Mason, where it was like he hurt his thumb and then it was IR cause he actually like broke his hand or thumb or whatever and thumb injuries are quite difficult. So you want to keep your eye on that. But I i if he does end up becoming healthy and everything's fine, I do think Kyle Manangai could be someone he's got a lot of juice. He looks great in that offense. someone to look at. Drew: Yeah, don't overreact to the Kyle Manung guy. Amanda: yeah, for sure. Drew: Swift was coming off of a knee injury, didn't practice a lot last week, so he had a great game that can happen, just like Swift can take over and and get seventy percent of the work. It can happen both ways. Amanda: I do think though Kyle Menungai is always going to be involved enough that if I needed a running back, I could feel comfortable starting him. And he has enough potential to give me an up. He's got yes, flex with benefits, baby. Yeah, Drew: Yeah, he's a f he's a flex with Bennies. Yeah, that's exactly what he is. Yep. Amanda: I agree. But I agree that Swift is coming off an injury. So it's not something to be like, Menungai's the guy. He's he's not. Drew: Absolutely. Amanda: but yeah, all right, let's move on to wide receivers, top performers. We have none other than Tet McMillan. CeeDee Lamb with an obscene amount of receptions. I mean, just insane. Didn't he top his record? Drew: Yeah, it's the most he's ever had, seventeen. It's a lot. Amanda: Most he's ever had 17 targets. It's a lot. It's a lot, a lot. Nico Collins, love to have him back. You do too. Taekwond Thornton, before he got hurt, was doing real well. Puka Nakua, Zay Flowers, T. Higgins, Romeo Dubs. Hard to trust, but he's there. Keon Coleman definitely took advantage of the DJ Moore injury. Malik Neighbors performed great with Jameis Winston. We said not to worry about that. That potentially could be an okay option. Carnell Tate finally came out of the woodwork and did something. And Darius Cooper. I think that was the Drew: And and Debo. Yep. Amanda: And Debo and Debo. Darius Cooper for me was the most curveball situation though of the weekend. Drew: Do you remember and I don't know if you started playing fantasy bef long enough ago to remember it. Guy named Travis Fulgham, ironically on Amanda: Mm-hmm. Doesn't come to mind. Drew: the Eagles. I I I want to say it was like f four years ago, somewhere in that time frame, but he just kind of came out of nowhere, was like a undrafted practice squad player or something like that. But like they had injuries and he came in out of literally out of nowhere as a big dude and had like a three or four week stretch where he just went nuclear. Like 20 30 point weeks every single week for like four weeks. It's the only time in his entire career that he did anything. Didn't have a long career, didn't really do anything before or after that, but for like three or four weeks, he was just incredibly valuable. reminded me of that when I saw him play the other day. Amanda: Yeah. Drew: not somebody, don't go out and pick up Darius Cooper. Amanda: No. Drew: Devontae Smith was out, Mikai Lemon is still getting acclimated to the offense. Dontavian Wicks didn't have a big day, like He caught two touchdowns. And this is one of those guys that like really good for him. Cool. He's gonna get a shining moment to show his kids when he's older. But I don't care for fantasy. big names on here, which was cool. We talked about Zay Flowers looks fucking incredible when he's healthy. Amanda: He does. Drew: I care about Keon Coleman. To Amanda: Yes. Yeah. Drew: me, Keon Coleman he needs to be on rosters. If he's not, I think you also could start to play him every week if you have him. he's just involved. He's been involved for a couple of weeks. This is what they wanted him to be when they drafted him a couple of years ago. Amanda: This just a shithead. Drew: he's starting to catch more tar I mean six to seven receptions. So he's catching the ball now. He's getting open, he's making contested catches, so love to see that. And then I I also Yeah, he's playing much better. Amanda: You could just see his confidence too. Like he looks confident out there and which is nice to see. Yeah. Drew: And Carnell Tate, I I've mentioned it for weeks now. Rookies, especially high of the drafted ones, typically take a little bit of time to get moving, to get up to speed. This is on a more typical time frame for him to start to ramp up a little bit. So really nice to see. And the fact that he got twelve targets, that's huge. Amanda: Yeah, absolutely. All right, we're gonna move on to our final here of our top top, I almost said top 10, but top tight end that scored over 10 points. We have TJ Hawkinson, Sam Laporta, Brock Bowers, and we're all thankful that he played through his sickness. I literally looked at Drew and I was like, I'm gonna need him to buck up because I need to meet some Brock Bowers. George Kittle, looking insane, Tucker Kraft, Bretton Strange, Michael Mayer. That was like an all tight end game for the Raiders. I feel like that's all they passed the ball to was tight ends only. Drew: Hundred percent. Amanda: Mike Isicki, Mark Andrews, Ian Thomas, Darnell Washington. We love us a little big back Darnell Washington. Harold Fannon Jr. Drew: He's so huge. Amanda: He's huge. And Isaiah Likely, which honestly I was surprised looking at the stats that Isaiah likely only had 10.1 points because I definitely thought he Drew: He didn't score. Amanda: yeah, he but he had 12 targets, seven receptions, sixty six yards. I was like, I th I'd seeing him in the game, I expected more. True, true, true. Full PBR, but still a great Drew: Again, it's it's half PPR though. So like our l most of our leagues are full PPR, so he did better than this. And like Amanda: game for him. Drew: yeah, I I f likely is become an every week guy. Fannin now finally is starting I mean, Amanda: Yeah. Is an ever weak eye. Drew: the one worry part is the three for twenty seven. So the touchdown really saved your guys' asses this week. Amanda: Yeah. Drew: however, I mentioned to you you didn't watch the second half of that Brown Amanda: Mm-hmm. Drew: Steelers game. Deshaun missed Fannon wide open in the fourth quarter Amanda: Yeah, that's what you said. Drew: to basically ice the game, and that would have been a 30 yard play. Washington, they targeted him like four straight times in the red zone. so he is a potential f bi week fill in player. Ian Thomas, good for you. You know, used to Amanda: Who the fuck does he play for? It was a really good cat no, that was Drew: be the Panthers. I don't know if it still is. Amanda: Who was the guy who had a really good catch? He was a tight end. And he has a weird name. Drew: Talking about the Jack Off guy? Yakoff? Yakov? I don't know what his first name is. I just remember Ian Thomas plays for the Raiders. Another tight end. Amanda: Do you know who speaking of? Is that it? Yeah, what's his first name? Yeah, Okay. yeah, it was that was it. I was like, 'cause I read I was reading about, you know, looking at the game script and I was like, it was all tight ends. And then I forgot that he played the Lord of the Raiders. Drew: Yeah. I for yeah, I to me he's still a Panther 'cause he he was on the Panthers from twenty eighteen to twenty twenty four. So he played seven seasons with the Panthers. So in my head, it's the Panthers, but it's not. Okay. yeah, again, Raiders threw to the tight ends a bunch, but I'm not playing anybody but Bowers 'cause it's just too hard not to. Kittle had that one huge play. you know, Laporta and Amanda: Oof. Tech craft. Drew: Hawkinson, they're gonna do this from time to time. It's really nice to see Tucker Kraft Finally get in the end zone and the the fantasy Amanda: Could have had two touchdowns. Drew: production could have had two touchdowns, but didn't. Amanda: Tucker. Drew: Gasicki, screw that guy. my God. Every time so Amanda: You love him, don't you? You love him. But Drew: four weeks of this season, he has been productive for three of them. The one week that I make bets on him and that I tell everybody he is a good streaming option, he literally goose eggs me. Amanda: Yes, it's because tight ends hate you. They lay they hate you. How about no, Drew: Titans love me. Amanda: but serious conversation. If for some reason Chase and Higgins were to miss, is Mike Isicki someone that you consider under any options? Okay. Okay. I'm getting ahead of myself. Just you tad. Drew: He's on the waiver he's on the waivers list. Yep, we'll talk about him a little bit. Just a tad. All right. Let's get into the negative part of the show, the disappointments. I will take this one over as I am the negative Nancy of the pair of us. all right. Players the disappointment of the week. Malik Willis, he shouldn't be on rosters anymore. Marcus Mariota got hurt, that sucks. Geno Smith, probably shouldn't be on rosters either. He's more of a bi week fill in guy. Danny Jones just doesn't look good this year. Kyler Murray, also not going to come back the way we thought he was and be any type of fantasy relevant except for maybe a week or two here and there. Matt Stafford, really bad week for him. 317 is great, but no touchdowns and two picks is garbage. Trevor Lawrence, we talked about him a lot at the opening of the show. Jalen Hurts, honestly, he didn't. Look good. He threw two touchdowns, but he did not look good. That all entire offense is broken. So broken. And they won. Wait, they did win, right? Didn't the Eagles beat the No, the Rams won. Yeah, so they lost. They deser to be honest, they deserve to lose. Amanda: No. Yeah, they lost in like they lost in the fourth quarter. Yeah. Drew: Yeah. and Jordan Love, fourteen points. I honestly that's kind of his floor. he's right in that fourteen to twenty four point kind of all the time. So any surprises to you here? Amanda: You know, I mean, we kinda saw Matt Stafford do a little like shit, good boo pa he's just now at this point, in my opinion, a a consistent, like potential streaming option. He wouldn't be my go to starting guy. no, everyone else to me is pretty I mean, standard of of who should make the list. Drew: Cool. running backs below projection. Saquon got hurt. We talked about that. Caleb Johnson for the Packers. He got more work this week and look he had some juice. Eight for 42 is pretty good. He fumbled the football, and you can't do that, especially if you're not gonna score. I'm also not really interested in any Packers running backs because their offensive line is still just absolute trash. Blake Corbin back where he belongs with only six touches in the game. Sorry, I'm a big Kyron Williams stan, so Blake Corm should not get d a lot of work. He shouldn't be splitting fifty fifty. Trevion Henderson back down to just not good enough. And it just zero receptions again. And I don't understand I don't understand their utiliz utilization of him, but Amanda: It makes no we this was the whole c conversation last year. Is like, what the fuck are we doing? And what does this man Drew: Yeah, at this point I'm Amanda: need to do to get earn more time on the field? But apparently sell his soul, get traded. Drew: I it's not even earned more time. He had 14 rushing attempts, which is it's fine. It's the fact that you're not Amanda: But yeah. But they're not using him to his ability. Drew: throwing the ball to him. It makes no sense. It's like Kenneth Walker in Seattle. Let's make him let's make him Amanda: With a struggling Drake May. Drew: s let's make him split time and let's not throw him the ball. I just it's so frustrating. David Montgomery, we talked about him, had a down week. Jeremiah Love, only six points and a half PPR this week. He did still see 15 opportunities. Again, one reception. Don't understand why we're not getting him more involved in some screen game, but you know, he will bounce back. Jacori Krosky Merritt, 11 attempts, really unproductive on the ground. Nine rushes for 15 yards is just not good enough. Austin Eckler, you saw him out there get a little bit of work this week. So good for him. Amanda: Yeah. Good for him. Drew: Bucky Irving, DeAndre Swift, Cam Scadaboo, also on this list. Disappointments this week. Amanda: Yeah. I did see that, you know, the coach came out and said that, Jeremiah Love, he did leave the game for a little bit and Algier took over more of the work and he did limp off the field. But they did say it wasn't because of his ankle injury, it was because pass protection. However, just something to keep a raider on, just in case. Drew: Are any of these names guys that you are interested in targeting coming off of Bad Weeks? Amanda: I mean, potentially Bucky Irvine, but I don't think that offense is gonna be able to do much of anything. Drew: Man, I've thought about that. Yeah, I've thought about that in one of my leagues and the Baker injury, if he's out for eight if he's out for eight weeks Amanda: It sucks. And he's going to be. Drew: and he's gonna be out for a while. Amanda: And and that I'm sorry, that guy can't is not gonna be able to hold it down. Drew: Yeah, I just it's such a value to get him right now because he's just coming off an i coming off an injury, he's been on a Amanda: I know. People are scared about that exact re your mind. Yes. Drew: pitch count. Like it I think I can get him for cheaper than I could get him at any other time, but Amanda: Agreed. Drew: I'm deathly afraid that it's gonna be a mistake. Amanda: Yeah, I know. That's the only person on that list where my eyes kinda get a little like, Ooh, maybe, but yeah. Drew: Mine mine just DeAndre Swift. I think this is your one chance to get him at Amanda: I I don't disagree. We talked about him at length though, yeah. Drew: any type of a discount because people are gonna be scared that Monungai's gonna take over and he's not going to take over. They're gonna continue to do the same thing they have, which is basically a s Amanda: No. They are swift diehards, yeah. Drew: it's a sixty forty split, and it's not Monungai's been involved, but they also run the ball a fuck ton. So th the value of seventeen touches on a great offense. by the way, Caleb Williams would come back, which means their offense will be even more valuable. So I might go try to get Swift today. Amanda: There you go. Drew: All right. wide receivers. Let's see here. Rasheed Rice injury. Lad McConkey injury. Chris Belt not injury, but he had a huge touchdown called back. Yeah. Amanda: Huge touchdown called back, yeah. Drew: Parker Washington, we talked about him. Bad week. DJ Moore, injury. Ameka Buka. When you what are your thoughts on him? O U T. Amanda: Yeah, if that yeah, if that guy's a quarterback, I'm I'm out. I'm outy I'm outy five hundred. Drew: Give me your thoughts on the next player, Josh Downs, who you were very high on this week. Amanda: Tony, but you were too. And I was so excited to see Josh Downs get some Drew: I don't think I I don't think it's on record. Amanda: target. no, it's not formally on record. However, it was said to me, and Drew's loopholes Drew: Didn't happen. Amanda: will always say that didn't happen. yeah, I it just I mean, they didn't the past game just really couldn't get going. They weren't doing much. Jonathan Taylor was able to hold it down. They won. It was a gross game. I don't love international games. We talked about this with some friends. It's just they always seem to be pooper scooper games. Drew: Yeah. Amanda: Guys are tired. They're in different time zones. It's a whole thing. So the fields are usually a little bit differ everything. There's so many things stacked against them. I wouldn't be hyperbolic to the Josh Down situation. I would be hopeful that things bounce back. Drew: Okay. Dontavian Wicks got overshadowed by Cooper. Yeah, Amanda: Huge disappointment with the Smith out. Drew: with Smith out. that could be a coverage thing with Smith out. I think Don Tavian Wicks is gonna be better with Smith there because he is not the main focus of the defense. And I think he's not good enough to be a one and he was forced into a situation where he was the one and he's just not good enough to be that. So Jamar Chase injured. Garrett Wilson, Devontae Adams, Christian Watson, and JSN did not have great games, at least not to their standards. I'm not worried about any of those four players or you. Cool. Amanda: Me either. Nope. Drew: All right, tight ends, really small list this week. Kenyon Sadiq, absolute goose egg on four Amanda: Ooh. Drew: t on four targets, which is kind of impressive to have four targets and have a goose egg. Dalton Kincaid, and we talked about him earlier. Dalton Schultz finally became what Dalton Schultz is, which is not a great Amanda: Nothing. Drew: football player. And Travis Kelsey, four targets, two catches, fifteen yards, just wasn't that involved. Also played the Raiders, who outside of Amanda: Are good. Drew: yeah, who are pretty good, it seems that they have a trouble against the run game because Kenneth Walker ran all over him and really fast receivers like Taekwond Thornton. So not the intermediary players like Travis Kelsey. Amanda: Yeah, no, absolutely. all right. Well, those are our top performers and disappointments of the week. We're gonna get into a little early waiver wire talk. I Drew kind of foreshadowed this earlier in the episode that there isn't a ton right now. Drew: No. Amanda: which there's a lot of injuries. I know this is pretty apropos for the NFL, but there are a ton of them. And now that we're approaching bye weeks, there just isn't that much out there. go over some waiver wire targets. Drew: Sure. number one is Emmanuel Wilson. If he is still out on your waivers, he is the guy that you can go after and go heavy after. I would go like thirty or forty percent of my fab at least at this point, maybe a little bit more. If you're running back needy, not only is the consolidation because prices out, that's happening on top of they're giving him a lot of work and he is productive. So love Emmanuel Wilson. I like Keon Coleman kind of as that next guy at as a receiver. I think you can go after him pretty decently. Everyone else is basically streaming options, in my opinion. The only other person that the only other people that I think have any type of long term value would be Tank Bigsby or Will Shipley. But I don't know if the injury of Saquon Barkley, like, is he gonna be out for three or four weeks? Is he okay? Look for that. Today's Monday. Waivers obviously don't run until Wednesday morning, Tuesday night, Wednesday during the day, whenever your league does it. So look at the injury reports. We don't have them yet. If it looks like Barkley's gonna be out for four weeks, if he goes on IR and tanks Bigsby's not hurt because he also left the game with an injury. Amanda: Yeah, I was gonna say it's hard because you don't want it to become another like Drew: So I I just I don't know what to do with all that. Amanda: Jonah Coleman waiver wire priority or fab dump and then boom, IR. you're worried. Yeah. Drew: Yeah, and then he's on IR. Yeah. So Roman Wilson, I don't really care about him. He could be a bi week guy. speculative ad, Tyreek Hill, he's gonna sign with a team soon. So if you wanna take a risk Amanda: Flyer. Drew: on a flyer on that, to me it's more of a you're a good team, you're four and you're three and one, and you can afford to put him on the bench. That's more of the type of guy. I look, I don't think he's gonna do anything for the first half of the year. So even if he signs tomorrow for the Kansas City Chiefs, which is where I expect him to go. I don't think he plays for a couple weeks at minimum, and I don't think he's super productive until maybe the second half of the year. I don't even know if he's that good anymore. I don't know if he's got the the juice that he once had coming off that devastating injury. but it's a speculative ad. Everybody else's streamers, like Mike Kusicki and TJ Hawkinson, I think they could be fine this week against Miami and New Orleans, right? how about defenses? I think there's some good options out there this week. What do you think, Amanda? Amanda: Yeah, I I think Dallas versus Tampa Bay, that's an obvious one. We saw, you know, anytime rookie quarterbacks in play, that that defense becomes elevated. And even if it's Dallas defense who isn't anything spectacular, it's still a good Drew: Sure. Amanda: shot to take. Washington versus New York Giants. We love a turnover prone. Jameis Winston. We know that Drew: Yep. Amanda: he likes to turn the ball over. and again, Washington hasn't defense hasn't looked incredibly terrible this season either. Drew: No. That's a weird thing to say. Incredibly terrible. It's like a positive with a negative. It's potas positive positive spin on dog shit. Amanda: Incredible they haven't been incredible. It's trying to be a positive with a negative. Yeah. Like, you know, you hate to shit on people. Yeah, I think those two are great. I also want to say, like, with waiver priority, specifically if you don't do fab, if you do waiver priority, right? Cause if you hear us talk fab, you might be like, what the hell even is that? We can get deeper into it in another episode. But if you're using waiver priority, this has been a question that came up in the Patreon or I've given advice on in the Patreon, is like, you don't need to put a waiver in every single week. And like specifically if you're going to try to go get a defense, like, yes, sometimes a great defense can win you the week. However, you have to know like when is it worth the waiver priority to do that? Or when is it worth it just to keep that waiver priority and look at free agency after and take the next best option or hold on the defense you have. Same thing with Drew: Yeah. And Amanda: streaming tight ends. Drew: to be very like I just wanna be as clear as possible so you everyone understands. Amanda just said don't go after waivers every week. Waivers run every Tuesday night, Wednesday morning, Wednesday, Amanda: Tuesday night. Drew: whatever it is, right? So that's what waivers are. As soon as waivers are done, everyone that Amanda: Free agency. Drew: everyone that was not picked up from waivers becomes a free agent, which means that has nothing to do with your priority. It is literally just first come, first serve. So what Amanda's saying is if there's not if you don't need somebody that week or there's not a really good option, don't waste your waiver party. So don't put any waivers in. Wait till free a wait till waivers run and then look who's available in free agency and then do your ad drops. And what that'll do is you don't Amanda: You don't waste your waiver priority. Drew: waste your waiver party, meaning that if you are waiver priority four and you didn't put any in, and person one, two, and three in priority all pick somebody up. Next week you will have the first waiver priority, which is very valuable for Amanda: Mm. Drew: that special guy that comes along that, you know, Emmanuel Wilson's there, and then you're like, I've got a running back that could be there for the rest of the year, or this isn't gonna happen. But let's say DeAndre Swift got hurt and Manungai was on free agency, and you're like, shit, now he gets all of the work, that's the number one priority type player that you can go after. Amanda: Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Yeah, no, absolutely. And like it's just something to like, you don't I don't always do it for my tight end. Like right now in one of my leagues, I'm streaming tight ends. And sometimes I just won't put a waiver in because I don't want to waste it. And I'm like, there's going to be a shit storm of a there's gonna yeah, Drew: Yes. And people other people aren't gonna waste it either. Yeah. Amanda: there's gonna be a tight end out there for me. And if you're anything like me, you can't sleep through the night and you wake up at 4 a.m. every night, anyways, with debilitating nights west. You can then capitalize on the free agency, baby. It's all good. Drew: yeah, the last couple people to mention would be also be streamers. CJ Stroud against Tennessee this week and Jacoby Brissett gets Detroit this week. So those are the two streaming quarterbacks that we think early on could have some good value this week. So if you've got Patrick Mahomes or Bryce Young, those are the two that Amanda: All right. Yep. Yep. Drew: I would play. Amanda: All right. Well, that's all we got for you for our week four reaction episode. Obviously, we will have our week five sit start episode that drops on Thursday. So make sure you stay tuned so you know how to optimize your lineup before week five takes off with our first official bye weeks of the season. I know Drew's excited for a few less games to have to cover. Drew: You said stay tuned in. All I heard was stay tootin', like Bishall Tutin or farting, and I was like, what in the world did she just say? Always be tootin'? Amanda: Same boots cootin tootin, baby. What did I say my name would have been if I have Tutin? always beat Tutin. I love Byshell Tutin. I think he's someone if you could go get he's a great trade for candidate. I love Byshell Tutin. Drew: Yeah, mine would be chugga chugga toot toot. Amanda: Mine's better. Anyways, make sure you give us a follow on social media. We are let's talk football married edition.
