- 0:03Speaker 1: This is a podcast called twenty five whist Stocking fun
- 0:07Speaker 1: Fall and they all went a whizz so yet it's
- 0:10Speaker 1: too bad, But what did you expect? It's a podcast
- 0:14Speaker 1: called twenty five Whistles Wine, presented by DraftKings sports book
- 0:20Speaker 1: and official sports vetting partner of the NFL. Download the
- 0:24Speaker 1: DraftKings app and use the code Bobby Sports get in
- 0:26Speaker 1: on the action. Coming up in a bit, we have
- 0:28Speaker 1: Mark Ross. Mark was a former NFL scouting director is
- 0:31Speaker 1: now analysts for NFL Network also the current Executive VP
- 0:34Speaker 1: of Football Operations for the XFL. So Mark will be
- 0:37Speaker 1: on in a bit also. And this is something that
- 0:39Speaker 1: happened a couple of days ago. But we broke the
- 0:42Speaker 1: news to Eddie that Travis Kelsey and Taylor Swipt for dating,
- 0:45Speaker 1: so don't buy it. He did not know it, so
- 0:47Speaker 1: we recorded instant reaction to that. So if you're like
- 0:50Speaker 1: old news or if by the time you hear this
- 0:52Speaker 1: they've broken up, which is possible. We told Eddie he
- 0:57Speaker 1: did not know, and that's his live reaction in us
- 0:59Speaker 1: talking at it right there. So that's coming up as well.
- 1:02Speaker 1: But first let's go to the tittle Tattle.
- 1:06Speaker 2: His name ever, The tittle tattle Let's seven schools currently
- 1:15Speaker 2: ranked in the top twenty five. Do you think the
- 1:16Speaker 2: PAC twelve is the best conference right now?
- 1:19Speaker 1: I think it's hilarious that the Pac twell's breaking up
- 1:22Speaker 1: when they finally made it. It's like, you made it
- 1:24Speaker 1: to the major leagues, but you're going to retire.
- 1:26Speaker 3: Have they made it though, Well, they're making it as
- 1:29Speaker 3: getting respect, sure, but they're playing all the bad teams.
- 1:32Speaker 1: Yeah, I hear you, but it doesn't matter. They still
- 1:34Speaker 1: are getting respect, and they're also winning. And they beat TCU. Yes,
- 1:37Speaker 1: were they number seventeen? Probably not, but they did play
- 1:39Speaker 1: the National Championships on in Colorado, so they are winning games.
- 1:43Speaker 3: Everyone loves there a week one graphic of like undefeated
- 1:46Speaker 3: PAC twelve.
- 1:47Speaker 1: Okay, guys, relax, I agree, but let's celebrate them while
- 1:51Speaker 1: it's time to celebrate while they're still together.
- 1:53Speaker 3: So, so of all the.
- 1:54Speaker 1: Teams in the PAC twelve, I do not think they're
- 1:58Speaker 1: the best team, and I think the best conference in
- 2:00Speaker 1: the country, I just don't. I don't think they have
- 2:02Speaker 1: the talents equal with the SEC or even the Big
- 2:04Speaker 1: twelve has or even the Big Ten.
- 2:06Speaker 3: But Oregon is pretty salty. Salty as in hell like
- 2:13Speaker 3: strong like Okay, I did not using that word. I
- 2:15Speaker 3: don't that's true. I like a couple of Oregon.
- 2:17Speaker 1: Yeah, I saw bo Nicks is like one point two
- 2:20Speaker 1: million dollars in al deals. Wow. I mean they were
- 2:22Speaker 1: yelling at bow Knicks at Auburn to get out of town. Yeah,
- 2:24Speaker 1: it's what's crazy, And now he's up there thriving. It
- 2:27Speaker 1: just kind of shows you to the system. Coach, you
- 2:31Speaker 1: know that type thing matters. So do I think the
- 2:33Speaker 1: best conference in the country. No, Let's walk through some
- 2:35Speaker 1: of the teams U C l A. They're fine by
- 2:39Speaker 1: gonna need to see them play. That's hard, dude. We
- 2:42Speaker 1: can't see them here really well, we can't. We just
- 2:44Speaker 1: stay up late. If we try, we need to put
- 2:46Speaker 1: some effort into it. Washington State. I don't know enough
- 2:49Speaker 1: about Washington State. As far as I know, they're supposed
- 2:52Speaker 1: to be good, but they're not every year. They're not
- 2:56Speaker 1: parentally good. So I don't every I have a good team,
- 3:00Speaker 1: like every five years when Drew Bledsoe played for him.
- 3:03Speaker 1: There pretty good Colorado. I've watched both Colorado games.
- 3:06Speaker 3: They're pretty good.
- 3:07Speaker 1: Yeah, they're gonna have a lot of hype They're gonna
- 3:10Speaker 1: play Colorado State this week. They're gonna win that one.
- 3:12Speaker 1: But they're pretty good, so I'm into it. But then
- 3:13Speaker 1: then the schedule gets a lot harder for them. Oregon
- 3:16Speaker 1: State kind of like Washington State to me, Oregon State's
- 3:19Speaker 1: ranked fifteen, that's crazy, Oregon's ranked thirteen. Oregon I in
- 3:23Speaker 1: college to I believe in teams that I've seen be
- 3:26Speaker 1: good over the years as well, because they've proven to
- 3:29Speaker 1: me that they can be good, stay good, they can
- 3:31Speaker 1: win good. So Utah same way like Utah they're I
- 3:36Speaker 1: feel like Utah they're ranked twelve. I feel like they're
- 3:38Speaker 1: probably legitimately a fit or sixth place SEC team, which
- 3:44Speaker 1: is still a top twenty five team on a backup quarterback.
- 3:46Speaker 2: But yeah, I was gonna say that when they get
- 3:48Speaker 2: rising back, that's he's pretty damn good.
- 3:50Speaker 1: He's really good.
- 3:50Speaker 4: I hear you.
- 3:51Speaker 1: But you're talking about somebody coming right back into it
- 3:53Speaker 1: and you expect him to be perfect one hundred percent
- 3:54Speaker 1: right away. No, but even Utah, I don't. I don't
- 3:57Speaker 1: feel like they're you expect them to come in just
- 4:00Speaker 1: be perfect right away. Yeah, fully game shape. He just
- 4:04Speaker 1: fun to watch last year, I agree, and then Washington
- 4:07Speaker 1: is at eight. Deserve these Phoenix Penix, Yes, Phoenix Junior. Yeah, yeah,
- 4:13Speaker 1: you make up with dad. I think it's hilarious that
- 4:17Speaker 1: they're now starting to get some credit just for existing
- 4:20Speaker 1: as a conference they never did.
- 4:21Speaker 2: Does that almost make it worse? As like if you're
- 4:24Speaker 2: part of the PAC twelve in some capacity where it's
- 4:27Speaker 2: like we are at our peak right now. We haven't
- 4:29Speaker 2: been here since what the USC early two thousand days.
- 4:31Speaker 1: Well they've never made the playoff though too. Yeah right,
- 4:35Speaker 1: I don't think they've ever made the playoff at Pack twelve.
- 4:37Speaker 1: Oregon has the playoff or maybe the national championship since
- 4:41Speaker 1: the playoff Washington, Okay, look at it in like fourteen.
- 4:44Speaker 1: I feel how long has the playoff been happening.
- 4:46Speaker 2: I think it's an eight years.
- 4:48Speaker 3: Eight years.
- 4:48Speaker 1: It's been that long now, I think. So remember when
- 4:50Speaker 1: it first happened and we were like this is crazy. Yeah,
- 4:54Speaker 1: look it up. Maybe it's national champion definitely not that. Yeah,
- 4:58Speaker 1: but I don't know that they've been put in sense
- 5:00Speaker 1: of we'll have some research staff do that. Next question.
- 5:04Speaker 2: There are no rank matchups this weekend, so it's kind
- 5:06Speaker 2: of like a dud. Does that lose your interest at all.
- 5:09Speaker 1: No, because DraftKings code five sports, ah, exactly overall. Yes, honestly,
- 5:16Speaker 1: if there are no big games, I don't go searching
- 5:18Speaker 1: for the scores of big games. But there's usually an
- 5:22Speaker 1: upset or two that makes it fun. But yeah, there's
- 5:25Speaker 1: not a big game, you know. I don't get on
- 5:27Speaker 1: the apps and look and just see what scores are
- 5:28Speaker 1: if I didn't bet them. And I don't jump into
- 5:30Speaker 1: a lot of games that aren't big games unless I
- 5:33Speaker 1: know the teams.
- 5:34Speaker 3: Dude, that's time when you wake up in the morning
- 5:36Speaker 3: and set that twelve game parlay twelve, oh maybe thirteen
- 5:40Speaker 3: and just watch it all day or just lose the
- 5:43Speaker 3: first eleven o'clock games and then like, oh well, create
- 5:45Speaker 3: another one.
- 5:46Speaker 1: We have a five gamer this week. Yes, that I
- 5:48Speaker 1: feel pretty good about. But yes, generally a little less
- 5:52Speaker 1: interest because there are no big games. Yes, next question, We'll.
- 5:55Speaker 2: Going back to the playoff real quick at the PAC
- 5:56Speaker 2: twelve US or Oregon sorry made in the first year,
- 6:00Speaker 2: smoked Florida State and then lost in the final, and
- 6:02Speaker 2: then Washington made it in seventeen.
- 6:04Speaker 1: So two teams.
- 6:05Speaker 2: Two teams have made it so far, but.
- 6:06Speaker 1: Not so none have made it in the past five
- 6:07Speaker 1: years eighteen nineteen. No, that sucks for them. Yeah, maybe
- 6:14Speaker 1: that's the stat that I heard and just associated all
- 6:17Speaker 1: playoffs with it. But it is crazy that they're at
- 6:20Speaker 1: power five and they haven't made it once in five years. Yeah,
- 6:22Speaker 1: and they haven't won a national championships since the playoff
- 6:25Speaker 1: has existed.
- 6:26Speaker 2: Yeah, that's right, right, yeah, yeah, No, they lost the
- 6:29Speaker 2: only one that they was organ and they lost the
- 6:33Speaker 2: Alabama forty two to twenty.
- 6:34Speaker 1: I remember that. Yeah, me too, Yeah, all right, next
- 6:36Speaker 1: time going.
- 6:37Speaker 2: To the NFL. Here, Eddie's Cowboys defense put up thirty
- 6:39Speaker 2: five points in fantasy in Week one? Are you taking
- 6:42Speaker 2: the over under on them? Doing again this week against
- 6:44Speaker 2: Zach Wilson and the Jets?
- 6:46Speaker 1: The under only because that Giants game was wild. It
- 6:50Speaker 1: was over quickly because the Giants just got punched in
- 6:54Speaker 1: the face and they didn't know how to react. And
- 6:57Speaker 1: that's just a lot of fantasy points, even if you're
- 7:00Speaker 1: crushing it. Yeah, it's hard to put up thirty five
- 7:03Speaker 1: fantasy points because you talking about sacks, interceptions, You need turnovers,
- 7:06Speaker 1: you need touchdown which they had unabundance of, and that's
- 7:09Speaker 1: really hard to repeat. So do I think they'll play great? Yes,
- 7:12Speaker 1: But do I think they'll put up thirty five Fantasy
- 7:13Speaker 1: points on the Fens.
- 7:14Speaker 5: No?
- 7:15Speaker 1: Never. They probably will do that again this year, being
- 7:17Speaker 1: as good as they are, But that'll be a fun
- 7:19Speaker 1: game to watch. I'm like fan Rogers to come back. Guys,
- 7:23Speaker 1: He'll be back. Surprise. No, he'll be back week two.
- 7:26Speaker 1: Surprise everybody.
- 7:28Speaker 3: We two.
- 7:30Speaker 1: He's like the Undertaker when out of the I got this.
- 7:33Speaker 1: Are you excited that the Cowboys get to play the
- 7:35Speaker 1: Jets this week?
- 7:36Speaker 3: Yeah? I mean it's just perfect timing. I mean, definitely,
- 7:38Speaker 3: look at the schedule. You're like, Week two looks tough
- 7:40Speaker 3: with Aaron Rodgers. Now, man, we're smooth sailing. Any way you.
- 7:44Speaker 1: Feel like you're gonna famous last word someone says, smooth sailing.
- 7:49Speaker 3: I don't think it's gonna be a blowout. I don't
- 7:51Speaker 3: think it's gonna be like Cowboys by thirty or whatever.
- 7:53Speaker 3: But I don't know if the offense is gonna be
- 7:57Speaker 3: as good. I know that Jets defense is no So
- 8:01Speaker 3: I think that if the the defense plays the way
- 8:04Speaker 3: they did last year, the Cowboys defense, I mean, we're
- 8:06Speaker 3: gonna get a dub.
- 8:07Speaker 1: But I don't know.
- 8:08Speaker 3: If Dak and the offense can score a lot of
- 8:12Speaker 3: points on that Jets defense, it's really good.
- 8:15Speaker 1: Come on, Jess. Defense is so elite. That's what I'm
- 8:17Speaker 1: worried about. I know they're so elite everywhere. Yeah, defensive, line, secondary,
- 8:23Speaker 1: So take the under on that game of the points period. Absolutely.
- 8:28Speaker 2: Next, I probably could call last one here in the NFL,
- 8:30Speaker 2: which playoff team from last year do you trust more
- 8:32Speaker 2: to bounce back and get their first win in Week two?
- 8:35Speaker 2: Bengals at home versus the Ravens, the Bills at home
- 8:38Speaker 2: versus the Raiders, Chiefs at the Jaguars or Seahawks on
- 8:41Speaker 2: the road versus the Lions.
- 8:42Speaker 1: I think, just by process of elimination, it's the Bills
- 8:46Speaker 1: at home versus the Raiders. Really yeah, because it's the
- 8:49Speaker 1: Raiders they're playing. I mean, look at these teams. They're
- 8:51Speaker 1: all good teams. I still think they're all good teams.
- 8:53Speaker 1: So the Bengals at home versus the Ravens. The Ravens
- 8:55Speaker 1: are good. So I don't know that I'm gonna bet
- 8:58Speaker 1: the Bengals can beat the raven is more than aim
- 9:00Speaker 1: of the Bills beat the Raiders. I just think that's
- 9:02Speaker 1: the most likely game to win. There the Bills, with
- 9:04Speaker 1: the Raiders, the Chiefs, and the Jaguars. The Jaguars are
- 9:06Speaker 1: good even if they lose. The Jaguars are a better
- 9:10Speaker 1: team than the Raiders are, so and they probably will lose,
- 9:13Speaker 1: But I still think the Jaguars are a good team
- 9:15Speaker 1: and they're gonna be solid all year long. And even
- 9:17Speaker 1: the Lions and Seahawks. I think the Lions are solid too,
- 9:22Speaker 1: So I would just go because of elimination. All four
- 9:24Speaker 1: of those teams are good, and three of the teams
- 9:27Speaker 1: that those teams are playing are good. The only team
- 9:28Speaker 1: that's still kind of up in the air is of
- 9:30Speaker 1: the Raiders, and they weren't terrible. And Jimmy g you
- 9:34Speaker 1: look pretty good, yeah, or at least solid or consistent
- 9:38Speaker 1: or stable or whatever you say about it was there, Yeah,
- 9:42Speaker 1: showed up. Yeah, he addressed. But I'm gonna go Bills
- 9:46Speaker 1: versus the Raiders. The Bills were embarrassed. Yeah, I just
- 9:49Speaker 1: see a lot of the Bills were embarrassed. I understand.
- 9:51Speaker 3: I just see a lot of weird decisions by Josh Allen,
- 9:55Speaker 3: Like that's always Josh Allen, and when he wins the
- 9:57Speaker 3: games because of weird decisions. He's a hero, and when
- 9:59Speaker 3: he loses because he's careless with the football or decides
- 10:03Speaker 3: to run through somebody and gets hurt, that's that's Josh Allen.
- 10:05Speaker 3: I feel like they made a mistake to trusting James Cook.
- 10:10Speaker 3: I know that he was a rookie last year and
- 10:12Speaker 3: I thought that. I think that they thought that he
- 10:13Speaker 3: was going to be a really good back for him.
- 10:15Speaker 3: He is going to be a really good back for
- 10:16Speaker 3: them eventually, but I don't know if he has it
- 10:18Speaker 3: this year to be the back that they need. I
- 10:20Speaker 3: think he goes off fantasy this week.
- 10:22Speaker 1: I do you have him? No, Okay, I don't. I
- 10:24Speaker 1: thought that's why you were saying that's incentive here.
- 10:27Speaker 3: No, there's no incentive. I don't have him on either
- 10:29Speaker 3: one of my teams. A lot of those guys second year,
- 10:31Speaker 3: third year, they do start shining. But I think James Cook,
- 10:34Speaker 3: after seeing him last week, I just don't know if
- 10:36Speaker 3: he's the one.
- 10:38Speaker 1: Yeah, but they're a long is why Joe Joe Burrow,
- 10:41Speaker 1: I have seen him last week. I don't think one
- 10:43Speaker 1: week proved himself.
- 10:45Speaker 2: Eddie goes on the first day, He's like, I don't
- 10:46Speaker 2: think she's the one.
- 10:47Speaker 1: I've seen Jay, I've seen Burrow. I know how he plays.
- 10:49Speaker 1: He's gonna be all. I've seen Burrow through a lot
- 10:52Speaker 1: of games. He saw Cook through one season, yeah, where
- 10:55Speaker 1: he didn't play a lot. So I'm not saying you're wrong.
- 10:58Speaker 1: It's just always the struggle in Buffalo. I'm just saying, Backfield,
- 11:02Speaker 1: let's just not jump to conclusions after week one. I'm
- 11:04Speaker 1: all about conclusions. After week two, it's gonna be all
- 11:08Speaker 1: conclusion all the time, right right, So after let's talk
- 11:11Speaker 1: again next week. But you'll think the Chiefs will beat
- 11:14Speaker 1: the Jaguars. I think they will. Interesting, I think they
- 11:16Speaker 1: will beat the Jaguars, but I think the Jaguars are
- 11:18Speaker 1: a better team. I think the Jaguars have a better
- 11:20Speaker 1: team to beat, a better start to be the Chiefs
- 11:22Speaker 1: than the Raiders do the Bills. Got it? Does that
- 11:24Speaker 1: make sense? Yeah? Absolutely? Or am I explaining that properly?
- 11:27Speaker 1: You got it? Okay? That's tittle Tattle.
- 11:29Speaker 3: Stupid name ever. The Tittle Tattle's.
- 11:36Speaker 1: Twenty five Whistles presented by Draft Kings Sportsbook, an official
- 11:39Speaker 1: sports betting partner of the NFL. Download the DraftKings app
- 11:42Speaker 1: and use the code Bobby Sports To get in on
- 11:44Speaker 1: the action. Here's the far.
- 11:47Speaker 3: Game by.
- 11:52Speaker 1: LSU money Line, North Carolina money Line. Come on Tennessee
- 11:57Speaker 1: money Line. Yeah, Nebraska money Line. Markets on money Line.
- 12:01Speaker 3: Yeah, I feel pretty good.
- 12:04Speaker 1: I almost give you, guys the pinky promise. I can't.
- 12:06Speaker 1: Last week, I gave you the pinky promise. I knew
- 12:08Speaker 1: we'd win.
- 12:09Speaker 3: You did.
- 12:10Speaker 1: Yeah, Okay, this week, I'm touching nails with you, but
- 12:15Speaker 1: I can't lock them. It's just a numbers thing. Five
- 12:17Speaker 1: is almost impossible. Sure, I feel good about it. I've
- 12:20Speaker 1: hit a six before. I've hit it nine before. Okay,
- 12:22Speaker 1: you're just bragging. Why did you jump in that? Why
- 12:26Speaker 1: why did you jump in and say six things? For years,
- 12:29Speaker 1: I've hit it. We're playing the game. I hit a
- 12:31Speaker 1: ten once. Okay, good for you. I haven't.
- 12:32Speaker 4: I lied.
- 12:33Speaker 1: I didn't hit it ten. You're yelling at me for
- 12:36Speaker 1: what you just did to me. You hit a niner. Yeah.
- 12:39Speaker 4: I remember.
- 12:39Speaker 1: I got on online and was like on my Instagram
- 12:41Speaker 1: account and I was posting my screenshots for my DraftKings,
- 12:44Speaker 1: and I was like, should I cash out or should
- 12:46Speaker 1: I keep going? I was probably pissed at you, and
- 12:49Speaker 1: I hit for like, you know, nine hundred bucks. Oh
- 12:52Speaker 1: my gosh, that's so amazing. It was awesome. Yeah, so
- 12:56Speaker 1: I bet those five LSU North Carolina, Tennessee, Nebraska, Ark
- 12:59Speaker 1: and so all money line. If you want to take
- 13:01Speaker 1: the twenty five whistles partly, you can check out Draftking Sportsbook.

- 13:19Speaker 1: notes for full to tell I gave you guys where
- 13:24Speaker 1: I stood financially after last week. You're in the black,
- 13:30Speaker 1: well sort of, because initially I was only going to
- 13:33Speaker 1: do college football bets because I feel more comfortable at
- 13:38Speaker 1: college football betting than I do NFL betting. Because the NFL,
- 13:41Speaker 1: as soon as you say easy, breezy or whatever you said,
- 13:44Speaker 1: they're all really good. So yeah, it's like, so for now,
- 13:48Speaker 1: I'll share both. If it gets out of hand with
- 13:49Speaker 1: the NFL, I'm losing so much, doesn't even matter. I
- 13:51Speaker 1: don't know that you should trust my NFL bets. That's
- 13:53Speaker 1: what I'm saying. Okay, so all my college bets last year,
- 13:57Speaker 1: just to catch up here, total bets of last week
- 14:01Speaker 1: one thousand, six hundred and seenty five dollars, with winnings
- 14:03Speaker 1: of thirteen hundred and two dollars overall, down three seventy three.
- 14:07Speaker 1: In NFL, I bet eighteen forty five, winnings twenty three
- 14:11Speaker 1: fifty six overall up five eleven, so I'm up one
- 14:16Speaker 1: hundred and eighty. I don't know what the number is.
- 14:18Speaker 3: NFL saved you, yeah, yeah, yeah, so you should trust
- 14:20Speaker 3: your picks.
- 14:21Speaker 1: Maybe you know where you're talking. Oh, I've seen it.
- 14:24Speaker 1: It's like James cook Eddy, you know. Sometimes you don't
- 14:26Speaker 1: see it back and nothing really have an opinion. Sometimes
- 14:28Speaker 1: you get you Yeah. Yeah, so that's the deal. I'll
- 14:31Speaker 1: let you guys know next week where we stand on that.
- 14:33Speaker 1: I just want you guys to have full transparency and everything.
- 14:35Speaker 1: So if I'm not just staying crap, you can at
- 14:37Speaker 1: least know that I'm suffering with you or winning with you. Right,
- 14:41Speaker 1: that's pretty honorable.
- 14:42Speaker 2: I like the transparency.
- 14:42Speaker 1: I always feel like a dirty dog where I feel
- 14:45Speaker 1: like people are screwing us over for they're just saying bets,
- 14:47Speaker 1: but they're actually not betting it themselves if they're just
- 14:49Speaker 1: being entertaining. I'm in, Yeah, you can't do that. Blood
- 14:52Speaker 1: and blood out, you know what I mean?
- 14:53Speaker 3: Right or die?
- 14:54Speaker 1: This game this shows like a gang initiation. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 14:58Speaker 1: If you're gonna be a whistler, le's whistle baby. Yeah.
- 15:00Speaker 1: It's like, yeah, what's the why you work?
- 15:01Speaker 2: Umping you in?
- 15:02Speaker 3: What's the why you twerk? There's a lot of rhymes, dude,
- 15:05Speaker 3: I'm just saying stuff. Killing it with the rhymes.
- 15:07Speaker 1: And Houston, someone managed to hack one of those digital
- 15:11Speaker 1: road signs. Drivers passing by. The sign said due to weather,
- 15:15Speaker 1: go f yourself. Oh no, hilarious from UPI wow, dude, man,
- 15:21Speaker 1: they can hack anything. Huh Vegas any road signs?
- 15:24Speaker 2: That's awesome.
- 15:25Speaker 1: Workers for the Houston Public Works that they don't own
- 15:27Speaker 1: the sign and they have no idea how someone will
- 15:28Speaker 1: be able to access it. They do know, however, that
- 15:31Speaker 1: whoever wrote the message has access to the science control
- 15:33Speaker 1: box or knowledge about how to work the safeguard bypasses.
- 15:36Speaker 1: Inside job. Hilarious, go f yourself?
- 15:40Speaker 3: Hey, you know what I watched.
- 15:42Speaker 1: That was good. The Balco documentary on Netflix. Who Balco? So?
- 15:48Speaker 1: Balco was the company Barry Bonds, you would know them
- 15:51Speaker 1: from Balco, the clear, the cream, the steroids, the performance
- 15:57Speaker 1: dancing drugs. Uh uh, Marion Jones, the sprinter. This was
- 16:02Speaker 1: the company. They were called Balco Balco Yeah.
- 16:05Speaker 2: Bay Area Laboratory Cooperative.
- 16:08Speaker 1: Yeah, did so. They provided the So the guy that
- 16:11Speaker 1: started Balco is there doing the interview, and watch you
- 16:14Speaker 1: to the whole. It's an hour. It's only an hour.
- 16:16Speaker 1: It's really good. And I don't know that I love him,
- 16:21Speaker 1: but I felt like, even if he was lying, I
- 16:24Speaker 1: know there was something about him that I enjoyed, even
- 16:27Speaker 1: if he's sleazy, because he wasn't a doctor, He's just
- 16:30Speaker 1: a scientist. But it's how that how it blew up
- 16:34Speaker 1: and how they went down, and I remember the clear
- 16:36Speaker 1: and they couldn't detect these performance and ancing drugs. But
- 16:38Speaker 1: I would recommend it. I'd give it four out of five.
- 16:42Speaker 1: Extremely large human skulls because of steroids making people have
- 16:48Speaker 1: Barry bonds, yeah yeah, or small testicles. They didn't show
- 16:53Speaker 1: any of those, Okay, because that's what they say, steroids does.
- 16:57Speaker 1: It makes your stuff smaller. You wonder why it is
- 17:00Speaker 1: because if you get bigger and stronger, it shrinks your nuts. Oh,
- 17:04Speaker 1: I don't know, ed do you tell us?
- 17:05Speaker 3: No, I have no idea.
- 17:06Speaker 1: They never done steroids. You should. I've been watching this.
- 17:09Speaker 3: I'm in a buddy of mine. Did I told you
- 17:11Speaker 3: that story? Right when they did? He took steroid race
- 17:13Speaker 3: had told us he did like a cycle or two. Yeah,
- 17:16Speaker 3: is that your buddy you're talking about? No, No, my
- 17:18Speaker 3: buddy was in high school. We went to go We
- 17:19Speaker 3: went to Mexico for lunch. It was after fifth period.
- 17:23Speaker 3: They're like, hey, man, let's go to Mexico. We'll get
- 17:25Speaker 3: some tacos and some beer. Cool, and we'll be back
- 17:26Speaker 3: by seventh are great. We go, me, my buddy, the dude,
- 17:31Speaker 3: that dude, and another buddy. So it's three of us.
- 17:34Speaker 3: Then two of us go eat tacos while the other
- 17:36Speaker 3: guys like, hey, I'm gonna be back. I'm gonna pick
- 17:37Speaker 3: something up. He's like, that's kind of weird. All right, whatever,
- 17:39Speaker 3: we'll be here. Thirty minutes later. He comes back. All right, boys,
- 17:41Speaker 3: let's go get back in the truck. We go back
- 17:43Speaker 3: to school. Oh, we're there in the car we're crossing
- 17:45Speaker 3: the bridge. Yeah, and the customs it's pretty easy. Like
- 17:49Speaker 3: you just go and you pass through, and they say
- 17:51Speaker 3: you a US citizen. You say yes, boom, go ahead.
- 17:53Speaker 3: So we do that whole process and he goes, you
- 17:55Speaker 3: guys US citizens, Yes sir? We are you?
- 17:58Speaker 1: Yes sir?
- 17:59Speaker 3: All right?
- 17:59Speaker 1: Cool?
- 18:00Speaker 3: Oh go ahead, Actually stop real quick. Why don't you
- 18:02Speaker 3: pull into the slot number seven? You didn't know what
- 18:04Speaker 3: was going on. It was like, okay, cool dude, pull
- 18:06Speaker 3: into slot number seven, No big deal. And my buddy
- 18:09Speaker 3: who had left, he didn't say anything. He was just
- 18:12Speaker 3: kind of just chilling or whatever, like looked a little nervous.
- 18:15Speaker 3: But me and my other buddy who just got the
- 18:17Speaker 3: talk was on the beer, were like, life's good. I
- 18:18Speaker 3: don't know.
- 18:18Speaker 1: We had nothing to worry about. So then they get
- 18:21Speaker 1: the dog.
- 18:21Speaker 3: They go around the truck, who everything all right, you
- 18:24Speaker 3: guys are good, go ahead, take off.
- 18:26Speaker 1: We get in the truck.
- 18:27Speaker 3: My buddy pulls out like five vials of steroids out
- 18:29Speaker 3: of his pocket. It's underwhere his crotches, so he had
- 18:32Speaker 3: shoved him down his underwear. He's like, dude, hey, you
- 18:34Speaker 3: put those on lovelocks.
- 18:35Speaker 1: Oh my gosh. That was a close one, like do
- 18:38Speaker 1: what are you doing? We all could have gone to
- 18:39Speaker 1: jail in prison.
- 18:41Speaker 3: Yeah, no, I don't think that would have been American prison,
- 18:43Speaker 3: because in Mexico it's legal. That's why he went to
- 18:45Speaker 3: Mexico to get it. American prison, American prison. I saw
- 18:49Speaker 3: they let el Chopa's wife out of jail. How long
- 18:52Speaker 3: was she in?
- 18:53Speaker 4: For?
- 18:53Speaker 1: Two years? Wow? I don't know why didn't read the headline,
- 18:57Speaker 1: just wroad the headline, moved on, But I saw that
- 18:59Speaker 1: el Chopa's wife was it for two years?
- 19:00Speaker 3: She's got to be like a tough chick, right, Oh yeah,
- 19:04Speaker 3: Like she's not married to a drug lord and like
- 19:06Speaker 3: this is either tough or really hot.
- 19:09Speaker 1: Oh with that too. Yeah. Now let's get over to
- 19:12Speaker 1: Mark Cross. We're gonna talk with NFL Network analyst Mark Ross.
- 19:18Speaker 1: Mark won two Super Bowls as part of the Giants
- 19:20Speaker 1: organization and was the NFL's youngest college scouting director with
- 19:23Speaker 1: the Eagles, are just twenty seven years old. He holds
- 19:25Speaker 1: five records as a receiver and pump returner at Princeton
- 19:28Speaker 1: and was named the Princeton's all time Team of the
- 19:30Speaker 1: Ivy League Era Crazy. You can catch Mark on Twitter
- 19:33Speaker 1: at Mark Cross, m A. R. C Ross. Here he
- 19:36Speaker 1: is Mark Ross? And Mark? What's up? Man?
- 19:39Speaker 4: What's up? How you doing? I'm going great. I need
- 19:41Speaker 4: to get a cop that that looks amazing. Is that
- 19:43Speaker 4: a poster or what is that? This is a screen?
- 19:45Speaker 1: That's it's your beautiful face.
- 19:46Speaker 3: Man.
- 19:47Speaker 1: Come on, that's like it's a mirror. You're looking right
- 19:49Speaker 1: at yourself right there on the screen.
- 19:50Speaker 4: That's the best thing you've had sitting up there. I'm
- 19:52Speaker 4: sure it is.
- 19:53Speaker 1: Yeah. So look, let's talk for a second. Because you've
- 19:57Speaker 1: been in these meetings. You've been in these these off
- 20:00Speaker 1: says after good and bad things have happened the Jets
- 20:03Speaker 1: on Tuesday morning. What's happening in that room with all
- 20:05Speaker 1: these executives on Tuesday morning after that game?
- 20:08Speaker 4: So with any position that you have an injury, unfortunately,
- 20:13Speaker 4: like you play a game and then right after the game,
- 20:16Speaker 4: you're in the trainer's office with the doctors and you're
- 20:19Speaker 4: talking about all the injuries that took place during the
- 20:22Speaker 4: game and what you do and the severity and how
- 20:25Speaker 4: long guys will be out and you have to play
- 20:28Speaker 4: from there. And that's just the cruel nature of the NFL.
- 20:32Speaker 4: It's okay, the game's over. Now do we do and
- 20:35Speaker 4: how do we replace these players? Now with the Jets,
- 20:37Speaker 4: it's of course a little more magnified, is because they
- 20:41Speaker 4: spent their whole off season with the Aaron Rodgers situation
- 20:44Speaker 4: and really built this whole year around Aaron Rodgers. So
- 20:47Speaker 4: the severity of it is much much greater for them.
- 20:51Speaker 4: But just like they did in the game, they had
- 20:54Speaker 4: to keep playing, and they didn't stop the game and
- 20:57Speaker 4: say we're just going to get the game to the Bills.
- 20:59Speaker 4: They had to keep playing and say, all right, Zach,
- 21:02Speaker 4: go in there, all you other guys out here on
- 21:04Speaker 4: the field, let's ball out and let's go win this game.
- 21:07Speaker 4: So for the Jets, for this season, and yes, the
- 21:10Speaker 4: short term of it, what do we do at quarterback now?
- 21:13Speaker 4: And the long term of it is we have a
- 21:15Speaker 4: long season. We got to get up here and go
- 21:17Speaker 4: play this next game and the game after that. With
- 21:20Speaker 4: the players that we have on the field, what do
- 21:22Speaker 4: they do.
- 21:23Speaker 1: I know that they're saying they're sticking with Wilson, but
- 21:26Speaker 1: let's say he struggles and throws three picks next week.
- 21:29Speaker 4: Well, here's the thing, you know, Unfortunately, and people don't
- 21:32Speaker 4: want to hear this, but you know, the Jets season,
- 21:34Speaker 4: the expectations are completely changed now. And whether you like
- 21:37Speaker 4: Aaron Rodgers or not, that was the expectator or thought
- 21:40Speaker 4: he could get it done. The expectations were the super Bowl,
- 21:43Speaker 4: and now that's just not the case. And you just
- 21:46Speaker 4: have to be realistic like that. So with Zach Wilson,
- 21:51Speaker 4: he's not good enough. He's shown that, he's proved that.
- 21:54Speaker 4: The expectations for super Bowl no, the expectations for playoffs no.
- 21:59Speaker 4: It's but if the players believe in and if the
- 22:02Speaker 4: other players in the coaching staff believe in Zach and
- 22:05Speaker 4: believe he can get it done, then you roll with
- 22:08Speaker 4: Zach until he proves otherwise. Now, right now, if those
- 22:14Speaker 4: players in the locker room, the coaches in the locker room,
- 22:17Speaker 4: do not believe in Zach Wilson, then you have to
- 22:19Speaker 4: bring somebody else in. Now, all these guys have been
- 22:22Speaker 4: talking about, and all these names that we're talking about,
- 22:25Speaker 4: they're on the street for a reason and trading for backups.
- 22:28Speaker 4: They're backups for a reason. So none of these names
- 22:31Speaker 4: that you're talking about with the Jets coming in here
- 22:33Speaker 4: and they're they're just they're just bodies really, essentially, and
- 22:39Speaker 4: just just to take snaps and get through. And you
- 22:43Speaker 4: know the Jets the other day it took four turnovers,
- 22:47Speaker 4: Garrett Wilson catch of the Year, Reese Hall looking like
- 22:50Speaker 4: a Gale Sayers. And then, by the way, you still
- 22:53Speaker 4: have to win the game and a walk off, a runoff,
- 22:55Speaker 4: hunt return touchdown to win a game. You know, that's
- 22:58Speaker 4: just not sustainable or the Jets to be a serious,
- 23:02Speaker 4: legitimate playoff contender. Yes, they'll be in every game is
- 23:05Speaker 4: because that defense is so good, but it's just too
- 23:08Speaker 4: hard in the NFL not to have an offense or
- 23:11Speaker 4: expect so many turnovers and huge plays from their stars
- 23:16Speaker 4: on offense to win games. So unfortunately, they're just kind
- 23:20Speaker 4: of in that situation and the expectations for them for
- 23:23Speaker 4: me is, yeah, they'll be competitive, but it's just too
- 23:26Speaker 4: much of a struggle for them to be serious contenders.
- 23:28Speaker 1: Now, let's stay on the topic of really good defenses
- 23:32Speaker 1: and go to the Cowboys. So what makes Micah Parsons
- 23:35Speaker 1: so special? As someone as a former scout and evaluator,
- 23:39Speaker 1: What do you see that like normals like us don't
- 23:42Speaker 1: his explosiveness?
- 23:43Speaker 4: You know, it's just it's rare that the guy can
- 23:48Speaker 4: go from zero to one hundred in one or two steps.
- 23:52Speaker 4: And that's just Lawrence Taylor like, and you know that
- 23:57Speaker 4: his desire and effort are incredible, But it's really the
- 24:01Speaker 4: explosiveness combined with his ability his feel for the pass rush.
- 24:08Speaker 4: It's it's people think, if you're just big and fast
- 24:10Speaker 4: and strong, you can and be a great pass rusher,
- 24:13Speaker 4: and that's just not the case. You have to have
- 24:15Speaker 4: nuance and feel and natural hand use and body movement
- 24:20Speaker 4: to do that. So he combines a historically rare explosiveness
- 24:26Speaker 4: with the innate natural feel for rushing the passer, and
- 24:31Speaker 4: then you just add on all the other attributes he
- 24:34Speaker 4: has with the desire and the toughness and the strength
- 24:37Speaker 4: and the power. But it's really just the explosiveness when
- 24:40Speaker 4: you see that's just different from everybody else that's on
- 24:43Speaker 4: the field.
- 24:44Speaker 1: When you watch the Cowboys blow out the Giants, and
- 24:45Speaker 1: that game was over pretty quick. I mean I was watching,
- 24:47Speaker 1: I got bored quickly because it was just over. And
- 24:50Speaker 1: so do you think the Giants are still going to
- 24:53Speaker 1: be the team that we kind of thought they might be,
- 24:55Speaker 1: like take another step forward? Or did this kind of
- 24:57Speaker 1: show what they are already?
- 24:58Speaker 4: Well? That's mixed. You said the team that you thought
- 25:01Speaker 4: they might be. I think there was mixed opinions on
- 25:04Speaker 4: what the Giants would be this year. Obviously, they're not
- 25:07Speaker 4: going to be that bad. That was a historically bad
- 25:10Speaker 4: loss that they had. When you combine all the metrics
- 25:12Speaker 4: and turnovers and sacks and everything combined that they had
- 25:16Speaker 4: everything that could go wrong for the Giants in that
- 25:19Speaker 4: game went wrong. And I had a bunch of people
- 25:21Speaker 4: over the house and they were saying, this is a
- 25:23Speaker 4: high school game. I was like, actually, no, I've never
- 25:25Speaker 4: seen a high school team even play this bad with
- 25:27Speaker 4: all the stuff that was happening to the Giants. So
- 25:30Speaker 4: I think there was a lot of question marks with
- 25:33Speaker 4: the Giants off of last season. If you remember, even
- 25:35Speaker 4: though they made the playoffs, their offense wasn't you know,
- 25:38Speaker 4: it wasn't prolific. You know, they struggled for most of games,
- 25:41Speaker 4: and even the games they won, they kind of pulled
- 25:44Speaker 4: it out at the end with opportune plays and key
- 25:47Speaker 4: plays here and there. So there were still huge question
- 25:49Speaker 4: marks coming in this year about Daniel Jones and if
- 25:52Speaker 4: he was a legitimate franchise quarterback. There was question marks
- 25:55Speaker 4: about Sakuon Barkley, there was question marks about okay, now
- 25:59Speaker 4: you got down Waller, but the injury that he's always
- 26:02Speaker 4: had he proved that. This week. There was questions about
- 26:05Speaker 4: thee rookie receiver who had they had high hopes on
- 26:08Speaker 4: Gym Hyatt about his hands. He dropped the ball. And
- 26:11Speaker 4: then there was question marks about the offensive line and
- 26:14Speaker 4: that got exposed. So all the fears came together for
- 26:18Speaker 4: the Giants. Now up for the Giants this week, they
- 26:20Speaker 4: won't look this bad. They'll be competitive and this is
- 26:24Speaker 4: really their game of the year against Arizona. They look
- 26:27Speaker 4: bad again this week against Arizona, who is, you know,
- 26:30Speaker 4: one of the worst teams in the league. Then it's
- 26:32Speaker 4: serious time for panic. But they won't look that bad.
- 26:36Speaker 4: But it could be a struggle this year for them
- 26:38Speaker 4: because all their falls got exposed, and how do you
- 26:41Speaker 4: improve on those flalls at this point is the big question.
- 26:44Speaker 1: Being a former front office guy, when I was watching
- 26:47Speaker 1: Arizona and they were losing, but they fined their defense. Fine,
- 26:50Speaker 1: I'll watch the Rams. They won and I did not
- 26:53Speaker 1: expect them to win. Those are the two teams that
- 26:55Speaker 1: I really expected to just rollovers not the word, but
- 26:58Speaker 1: you know, they both are trying to get those high
- 27:00Speaker 1: draft picks to get it's a really strong quarterback class.
- 27:03Speaker 1: What's the difference and how do they separate the two
- 27:06Speaker 1: from executives who want to high draft pick and coaches
- 27:09Speaker 1: who want to win games. Because when I was watching
- 27:10Speaker 1: McVeigh like he was fired up, he wasn't trying to
- 27:13Speaker 1: lose a game.
- 27:14Speaker 4: Well, that's the false narratives in the NFL about tanking.
- 27:18Speaker 4: Nobody in the NFL tankser ever thinks about taking no
- 27:21Speaker 4: matter how bad your team is. I've been on a
- 27:22Speaker 4: three and thirteen team in Philly back in the day,
- 27:25Speaker 4: and there's every player each play could be your last play.
- 27:30Speaker 4: So there's not one player that's going out on that
- 27:32Speaker 4: field thinking, oh, I'm just going to get be half
- 27:35Speaker 4: asked because I want to lose a game for my
- 27:37Speaker 4: organization to go get a high draft pick. There's not
- 27:40Speaker 4: one coach who's thinking that, because there's too much on
- 27:44Speaker 4: the line for those guys personally and professionally to go
- 27:47Speaker 4: out and put a bad product on the field. So
- 27:50Speaker 4: this notion that gms or owners or orchestrating tanking efforts
- 27:54Speaker 4: by NFL teams is just it's absurd actually, because you
- 27:59Speaker 4: could have one play in the out of the league.
- 28:01Speaker 4: So all those guys that are putting those helmet and
- 28:03Speaker 4: shoulder pads on each game are going out there and
- 28:06Speaker 4: they're fighting. And Sean mcvaye's a Super Bowl winning coach,
- 28:09Speaker 4: he's not going out there talking about anything about tanking.
- 28:12Speaker 4: And you know that Arizona group, that's a new coaching
- 28:14Speaker 4: staff with a bunch of young players. They're going out
- 28:16Speaker 4: there fighting. So you'll see that for the rest of
- 28:19Speaker 4: the year. Could teams be bad, certainly, they might not
- 28:23Speaker 4: have the talent, but just as far as the notion
- 28:25Speaker 4: of giving up and not trying, you know, that's just
- 28:28Speaker 4: not the case in the NFL. I've never seen it.
- 28:30Speaker 4: I've never heard one player coach talk about it or
- 28:34Speaker 4: or prepare in that sort of way because there's too
- 28:36Speaker 4: much on the line. Of course, you want to have
- 28:38Speaker 4: as high as pick as you can, but no team
- 28:42Speaker 4: is ever purposely trying to tank in the NFL.
- 28:45Speaker 1: And I would think team wise, player wise, absolutely coach
- 28:48Speaker 1: wise same because I'm watching how fired up they are.
- 28:50Speaker 1: But from an executive place, if you don't give your
- 28:53Speaker 1: team a quarterback like Arizona, if you cut Hopkins and
- 28:56Speaker 1: have a bunch of dead cap room, then you can't
- 28:58Speaker 1: fill because there's got to be a minimal cap like
- 29:00Speaker 1: a little bit. Aren't you setting your team up for
- 29:02Speaker 1: failure if you're like the Cardinals, Now you're not a
- 29:04Speaker 1: player a coach, but one of these high ranking executives, Well, you.
- 29:07Speaker 4: Need a quarterback. That's two different conversations about tanking or
- 29:10Speaker 4: needing a quarterback. So no one's tanking, but yes you
- 29:14Speaker 4: want to have you want to get the best talent
- 29:16Speaker 4: as possible, particularly you want to get a franchise quarterback.
- 29:19Speaker 4: You want to Mahomes, you want to Borrow, you want
- 29:22Speaker 4: a Herbert. Of course you want that, but no team
- 29:24Speaker 4: is purposely trying to do that. So in the case
- 29:28Speaker 4: of Arizona, they don't have a lot of talent, so
- 29:33Speaker 4: they will sort of play itself out throughout the year.
- 29:36Speaker 4: And of course, your your personnel department is scouting and
- 29:39Speaker 4: evaluating all the top players in the draft, particularly quarterbacks,
- 29:43Speaker 4: you know, digging deep on those people. But yes, it's
- 29:46Speaker 4: been proven that's the only way to win in the
- 29:48Speaker 4: NFL is to either have a ma Homes and Burrow
- 29:51Speaker 4: and being contention every year. And Brady we saw his stretch,
- 29:54Speaker 4: you know, or have a completely completely dominant defense and
- 29:58Speaker 4: you have a legitimate quarterback who to make plays at
- 30:00Speaker 4: key times. You know, that's it. And you know all
- 30:04Speaker 4: these all these other teams that need quarterbacks. That's why
- 30:07Speaker 4: you see the desperation every year, the trade ups and swings,
- 30:11Speaker 4: you know, huge swings and guys that maybe raw or improving,
- 30:13Speaker 4: because it's the most important position in sports and you
- 30:17Speaker 4: got to have a good one to compete.
- 30:19Speaker 3: Hey, Mark, I'm Eddie my boy Bryce Young, like as
- 30:22Speaker 3: a Carolina fan, not me, but are the fans I'm
- 30:24Speaker 3: a Cowboys fan, But are the Carolina fans?
- 30:26Speaker 1: Are they worried about Bryce Young? Or is Bryce gonna
- 30:30Speaker 1: be eyed?
- 30:31Speaker 4: Yeah? I had high hopes for Bryce coming into the season.
- 30:34Speaker 4: I visited Carolina's camp, and you know, I've always been
- 30:37Speaker 4: a fan of Bryce. Look, Bryce is always the only
- 30:40Speaker 4: thing he's all known since high school. You know, he's
- 30:42Speaker 4: played at the highest level of high school college and
- 30:45Speaker 4: he's all he's known is to be a star. And
- 30:48Speaker 4: I thought he had a really good foundation coming in
- 30:50Speaker 4: this year with the talent around him and the coaching
- 30:52Speaker 4: staff and just his own natural ability to kind of
- 30:56Speaker 4: play at a high level right away. He was shaking
- 30:58Speaker 4: Game one. He started out with it was shaky and
- 31:01Speaker 4: it was almost as if they put too much on him.
- 31:03Speaker 4: You know, the coaching staff there that they expected too
- 31:06Speaker 4: much of him too soon. But Bryce will be five.
- 31:09Speaker 4: Bryce is a star. Bryce will will end up being
- 31:12Speaker 4: a star. He's a rookie. You know, it was game
- 31:14Speaker 4: one as a rookie, and you know it'll He showed
- 31:19Speaker 4: some flashes, but overall it was a disappointing performance. But
- 31:23Speaker 4: he'll work itself out. So Carolina fans, Carolina hopeful should
- 31:26Speaker 4: be encouraged that they got the right guy.
- 31:29Speaker 1: My final three questions being a scout in the NFL,
- 31:32Speaker 1: A lot of pressure, a lot of money going into
- 31:33Speaker 1: these players, and it's also a people business. Not just
- 31:37Speaker 1: how good are they how fast can they run? But
- 31:40Speaker 1: how do people miss on first rounders? Like?
- 31:43Speaker 3: How do you not know?
- 31:44Speaker 1: Again, you're gonna tell me, because I'm gonna learn from
- 31:46Speaker 1: you right now. Let's say a Trey Lance. Let's say
- 31:49Speaker 1: and you could go to a bunch Zach Wilson, Like,
- 31:51Speaker 1: how do you miss on a first rounder when you
- 31:54Speaker 1: put that much into it?
- 31:55Speaker 4: That's a human business, as you men, So there's so
- 31:59Speaker 4: many elements, and there's so many different variables that happen
- 32:04Speaker 4: with players, and you're not just scouting what they do
- 32:07Speaker 4: on the field. There's a million variables of that, and
- 32:09Speaker 4: then off the field with their character, with their work ethic,
- 32:12Speaker 4: with their mental abilities, with their injury history, the medical history.
- 32:16Speaker 4: There's so many different variables. And yes, you spend millions
- 32:20Speaker 4: and billions of dollars scouting staffs each year from you years,
- 32:26Speaker 4: not just one year, but this is a couple of
- 32:28Speaker 4: years worth of work that you put into all these
- 32:30Speaker 4: players to evaluate. And I think the biggest thing one
- 32:34Speaker 4: is there's just a lot of bad evaluating. Everyone assumes
- 32:37Speaker 4: you're in the NFL and you're a scout and your
- 32:39Speaker 4: coach and you know what you're doing and you can
- 32:41Speaker 4: evaluate well. But that's not the case. Just like any
- 32:44Speaker 4: other business or players on the field, there's there's Hall
- 32:48Speaker 4: of famers and all stars, there's an average people, there's
- 32:52Speaker 4: a bunch of bad. So there's a lot of that
- 32:54Speaker 4: in the NFL in the evaluation process. And then say
- 32:57Speaker 4: you do identify the talent and then you get in
- 33:00Speaker 4: the team, the situation and the coaching staff and the
- 33:04Speaker 4: development may be off. So, and I mentioned before with quarterbacks,
- 33:09Speaker 4: the desperation, the Trey Lance thing, which is strictly we're
- 33:13Speaker 4: desperate for a guy and we got to go get
- 33:15Speaker 4: this guy and we think you can do it, and
- 33:16Speaker 4: that was just a complete miss. And hope is not
- 33:20Speaker 4: a strategy. And there's a lot of hope in the
- 33:22Speaker 4: NFL that these factors you think you can iron it
- 33:25Speaker 4: out and eventually or essentially, that's just not the case.
- 33:31Speaker 4: Some flaws just cannot be corrected. So there's no magic
- 33:35Speaker 4: reason why there's so many misses. It's a month. There's
- 33:39Speaker 4: a ton of different variables and a ton of different reasons,
- 33:42Speaker 4: and each kind of miss has its story. But overall,
- 33:46Speaker 4: when you look at the first round and then the
- 33:48Speaker 4: percentages go down from there from each round of the
- 33:51Speaker 4: guys that make it. So it's a tough business. People
- 33:55Speaker 4: have no idea how hard it is is to be
- 33:58Speaker 4: a player in the NFL, and as I could have
- 34:01Speaker 4: sustained success. So it's just a very hard process because
- 34:04Speaker 4: of all the different variables.
- 34:07Speaker 1: What is happening right now in the process of the XFL, Well,
- 34:09Speaker 1: this is our.
- 34:10Speaker 4: Off season, so we're just really looking at year two
- 34:13Speaker 4: and learning from year. One of the things that went
- 34:16Speaker 4: well the things we need to improve upon, and we
- 34:19Speaker 4: thought that the product, the on field product was tremendous.
- 34:22Speaker 4: We thought we had an entertaining game. We had a
- 34:25Speaker 4: lot of players get looks at the NFL, so we're
- 34:27Speaker 4: happy and encouraged by that. We thought the NFL looked
- 34:30Speaker 4: at our rules innovation with the kickoff and the extra
- 34:33Speaker 4: point and the overtime rules.
- 34:36Speaker 1: It's fourth downs too, Like that's I mean, the rules,
- 34:39Speaker 1: that's where you guys were elite. Where I was like,
- 34:41Speaker 1: I don't know if I'm even gonna because there have
- 34:43Speaker 1: been XFL, there have been all these but you guys
- 34:45Speaker 1: were really great at showing of how there could be
- 34:51Speaker 1: just corrections to the old school NFL methodology with rules.
- 34:56Speaker 4: Yeah, we didn't want anything that was gimm We wanted
- 34:59Speaker 4: things that were innovating, innovative but made sense. You know,
- 35:03Speaker 4: our extra point, Like who wants to see a kicker
- 35:04Speaker 4: kick of twenty five? No one wants to see that. Okay,
- 35:07Speaker 4: here's a chance to go three two one where you
- 35:09Speaker 4: can score three points two points one one depending on
- 35:12Speaker 4: where you line up the on side kick. No one
- 35:15Speaker 4: wants to see a play that is ninety nine percent
- 35:18Speaker 4: percentage of failure. Okay, here's your chance to go, you know,
- 35:21Speaker 4: fourth and fifteen from the twenty five and give it
- 35:23Speaker 4: a shot. And it actually a couple of teams converted
- 35:26Speaker 4: on that. So we wanted real rules innovations that made
- 35:31Speaker 4: sense for the game that fans wanted to see as well.
- 35:33Speaker 4: So we're just encouraged about that, not only just the players,
- 35:36Speaker 4: but the rules that we had of the time of play.
- 35:40Speaker 4: And we're just building out for year two just to
- 35:42Speaker 4: make sure that we're continuing to put the best product
- 35:45Speaker 4: on the field and continue to have our strong relationship
- 35:48Speaker 4: with the NFL with things we're doing with them so
- 35:51Speaker 4: that they can look at and kind of a doct
- 35:53Speaker 4: I mean, I.
- 35:54Speaker 1: Hope the NFL is watching and listening to people because
- 35:56Speaker 1: the fourth down, that the onside kick thing, that's the
- 35:58Speaker 1: greatest because one kicks hapen. We almost never see them.
- 36:02Speaker 1: And also it's very dangerous and if we're talking about
- 36:04Speaker 1: actually player safety and you're just kicking an outside kick,
- 36:07Speaker 1: that's probably a pretty risky. I mean, all kickoffs are risky,
- 36:11Speaker 1: but that was so fun to watch. And also the
- 36:14Speaker 1: extra points. I don't give a crap about the extra point,
- 36:17Speaker 1: the three two to one strategy, all the strategy that's involved,
- 36:19Speaker 1: they're all new layers into the card. You got to
- 36:21Speaker 1: look for down like that to me was the best
- 36:23Speaker 1: part about it. Do you think the NFL, after a
- 36:25Speaker 1: bit of success two three seasons will actually look to
- 36:27Speaker 1: change some of these rules.
- 36:29Speaker 4: Yeah. So from the start, we've had dialogues and talks
- 36:33Speaker 4: and meetings with the NFL. Troy Vincent, the executive vice
- 36:37Speaker 4: president of the Football Ops for the NFL. I've known
- 36:40Speaker 4: him since I was an intern with the Eagles back
- 36:42Speaker 4: in nineteen ninety eight and he was a player, So
- 36:44Speaker 4: we've had an unbelievable personal and professional relationship. So when
- 36:48Speaker 4: we started this all out, we've been in continual discussions
- 36:53Speaker 4: with their different departments about how we can help. And
- 36:58Speaker 4: I know and this talking to the Troy and the
- 37:01Speaker 4: way they analyze our game, that they're talking about what
- 37:03Speaker 4: we're doing and they discussed if they can implement it.
- 37:06Speaker 4: And that's that's the amazing part for us, the relationship
- 37:10Speaker 4: we have with them. So yes, again, the feedback that
- 37:14Speaker 4: we've had from those plays that I talked about and
- 37:16Speaker 4: those innovations has been universally positive from all fans who've
- 37:21Speaker 4: watched our.
- 37:22Speaker 1: Game, and you have to love that last question. I'll
- 37:24Speaker 1: ask kind of the same category here, but would it
- 37:27Speaker 1: be like an NFLPA that would not want some of
- 37:29Speaker 1: these rules to happen, because again, if you eliminate the
- 37:31Speaker 1: onside kick, can you eliminate the extra point? I mean,
- 37:33Speaker 1: kickers start to somewhat be devalued because they're not being
- 37:38Speaker 1: used as much. So the NFLPA is sticking up for
- 37:40Speaker 1: the kickers, will say no, we don't want that rule change.
- 37:42Speaker 1: Would that be a factor in the game actually improving
- 37:45Speaker 1: that the union is saying, no, we need the kickers
- 37:48Speaker 1: to stay involved.
- 37:49Speaker 4: Yeah, you know, I hadn't done that deep to think
- 37:51Speaker 4: that the NFLPA would try to stick up with kickers,
- 37:53Speaker 4: But yeah, I think the NFL sees that they have
- 37:57Speaker 4: better play, that they're going to make innovations and changes
- 38:01Speaker 4: to have better play. And you talk about kickers getting
- 38:05Speaker 4: the value, well, running backs are getting the value at
- 38:07Speaker 4: one point the most important position in sports, and now
- 38:10Speaker 4: that's the value. And you don't see the NFL doing
- 38:12Speaker 4: anything about trying to save running backs right now, So
- 38:14Speaker 4: they're not going to try to save kickers. If these
- 38:16Speaker 4: rules innovations help the game and promote the game and
- 38:19Speaker 4: create more views and excitement and clicks and all of that.
- 38:25Speaker 4: Then they're going to make it happen.
- 38:27Speaker 1: You guys can follow Mark at Marcross mar c Ross
- 38:30Speaker 1: on Twitter again, the executive VP of Football Operations for
- 38:33Speaker 1: the XFL. I love you on NFL Network and thank

- 39:42Speaker 1: pretty cool to see it up there. It is pretty
- 39:44Speaker 1: cool to see. It's awesome. So, okay, ed, do you
- 39:46Speaker 1: want to do eliminator? Yeah, you're gonna hate me on
- 39:49Speaker 1: this one. Well, so let's walk through the games before
- 39:51Speaker 1: you even tell me what it is, because I don't
- 39:53Speaker 1: like you said. I'm gonna hate you on this one. Well,
- 39:54Speaker 1: because you're gonna think I'm being a homer. Okay, Well,
- 39:57Speaker 1: let's see. So the eliminator is something that Eddie and
- 39:59Speaker 1: Iren we have one hundred bucks and if we can
- 40:01Speaker 1: last the whole season. We went a million in a briefcase.
- 40:06Speaker 3: Boys, m.
- 40:09Speaker 1: I mean that would be amazing. So if you use
- 40:11Speaker 1: a team, you can't use them again the rest of
- 40:13Speaker 1: the season, and that's why it starts to get a
- 40:15Speaker 1: bit harder. So I'm gonna read you the games this week.
- 40:19Speaker 1: Billy at Minnesota, Sorry, Philly versus Minnesota, Tampa Bay versus Chicago,
- 40:25Speaker 1: Green Bay at Atlanta, Indianapolis at Houston, Detroit versus Seattle,
- 40:30Speaker 1: the favorites first, by the way, Chargers at Tennessee, Cincinnati
- 40:34Speaker 1: versus Baltimore, Buffalo versus Vegas, Kansas City at Jacksonville, San
- 40:41Speaker 1: Francisco at the Rams, the Giants at Arizona, Dallas versus
- 40:45Speaker 1: the Jets, Denver versus Washington, Miami at New England, New
- 40:49Speaker 1: Orleans at Carolina, Cleveland, and Pittsburgh. Those are all the games.
- 40:52Speaker 1: So again, if we use them, we can't use them
- 40:54Speaker 1: again the rest of the year. Correct, And you're gonna
- 40:56Speaker 1: pick the Cowboys already. I think this is the week
- 40:58Speaker 1: we picked the Cowboys.
- 40:59Speaker 3: Why because it's the only one on there where I
- 41:01Speaker 3: see like this is a no brainer.
- 41:03Speaker 1: That's why I don't want to pick them, I know.
- 41:04Speaker 1: But we do this where you give me two or
- 41:06Speaker 1: three games, and then I picked from that two or
- 41:07Speaker 1: three games, like that's our system.
- 41:08Speaker 3: I like the Cowboys over the Jets. And I like
- 41:11Speaker 3: the Giants over the Cardinals. Okay, maybe even the Saints
- 41:16Speaker 3: over the Panthers. Okay, those are the three year given.
- 41:19Speaker 3: That's it. I don't like anything else, like Buffalo take
- 41:23Speaker 3: it back. Oh, I'm telling you, dude, I don't trust
- 41:25Speaker 3: Josh Allen right now. And there's another one. I like
- 41:28Speaker 3: Buffalo over Vegas. Vegas, They're a nine point favorite. That's
- 41:31Speaker 3: the one where you wake up and you're like, oh,
- 41:33Speaker 3: that's a for sure one. And then you wake up
- 41:35Speaker 3: and I'm texting or it's three o'clock and I'm texting you, dude,
- 41:37Speaker 3: are you watching this game?
- 41:38Speaker 1: This is crazy? What is happening? I do like I
- 41:42Speaker 1: do like Browns over the Steelers. Oh, I would not
- 41:44Speaker 1: touch that. What I like Browns, I wouldn't touch that.
- 41:47Speaker 1: That's only that's only two point spread too. Yeah, but
- 41:50Speaker 1: who cares about that? Well, that is one of my
- 41:53Speaker 1: my tactics. But I feel like the Browns look too good. Steelers,
- 41:56Speaker 1: what are they gonna dude? They got nothing going on.
- 42:00Speaker 1: I don't think they know how to move the ball
- 42:01Speaker 1: this year.
- 42:02Speaker 3: You've seen one game, and I'm basing it on what
- 42:05Speaker 3: I've seen. James Cook, Oh my god, you laughing at
- 42:09Speaker 3: my James Cook me. Dallas over the Jets is a
- 42:13Speaker 3: fine pick. Yeah, it's a beautiful pick. But do we
- 42:15Speaker 3: want to burn them up already? When there are other games?
- 42:18Speaker 3: For example, you don't like the Buffalo game at all?
- 42:20Speaker 1: I don't. We cannot agree on that one. Okay. I
- 42:23Speaker 1: can't agree on that one because I do like that.
- 42:26Speaker 2: You like that one, Kevin, I'm not as confident as him,
- 42:29Speaker 2: but I I'm in between. Okay, Yeah, there is a
- 42:33Speaker 2: slim pickings this week.
- 42:34Speaker 4: I like the.
- 42:34Speaker 1: Giants over Arizona. I like that one too, but again,
- 42:38Speaker 1: Arizona did have a little fight last week and the
- 42:41Speaker 1: Giants had no fight last week. Correct, But the Giants
- 42:43Speaker 1: have to win. Okay, So I like that one a
- 42:44Speaker 1: little bit. I do like the Saints too, Listen, I'm
- 42:47Speaker 1: a big Saints guy. But New Orleans over Carolina. You know,
- 42:50Speaker 1: we can both agree on that. I like that one,
- 42:52Speaker 1: but I can go with the Dallas one. Well, no,
- 42:56Speaker 1: think about it. No, you said it's a no brainer.
- 42:57Speaker 1: So if anyone ever calls no brainer. We have to
- 42:59Speaker 1: go with it.
- 43:00Speaker 3: To me this week, that's the only no brain brainer.
- 43:03Speaker 3: And I'm not even looking at the future. Who knows.
- 43:06Speaker 1: The Dallas Cowboys may just show up like they always do,
- 43:08Speaker 1: just disappoint. I would say the real no brainers probably
- 43:11Speaker 1: San Francisco over the Rams. Yeah you've been you' have
- 43:16Speaker 1: you been talking about how bad the Rams are gonna be?
- 43:18Speaker 1: But how good? No, how good San Francisco is really?
- 43:20Speaker 2: They beat him eight times in a row.
- 43:21Speaker 1: I don't like those numbers. Okay, we're gonna go with Dallas.
- 43:24Speaker 1: Don't care. That was that was eight years eight years ago.
- 43:26Speaker 1: Eight games for Dallas. Let's go Dallas wins an easy one.
- 43:30Speaker 1: We move on, Let's go Aaron Rodgers says he will
- 43:33Speaker 1: rise yet again? Does he come back? A?
- 43:37Speaker 4: And B?
- 43:38Speaker 1: Does Is he any ever any good again? What is
- 43:40Speaker 1: what is he referring to? He's gotta come back and
- 43:42Speaker 1: play again? Most Yeah, he didn't say that, I know,
- 43:44Speaker 1: but I read the Instagram post. He kind of says that.
- 43:46Speaker 1: Is he referring to football or is he referring to
- 43:48Speaker 1: He was vague on this, but I think he wants
- 43:51Speaker 1: everybody to believe it's football. Even if it's not here,
- 43:55Speaker 1: we go there in Rodgers Rogers. Does Rogers come back
- 43:58Speaker 1: at all and play a regular seasons now for the Jets? Yes, No,
- 44:04Speaker 1: he's messing with us.
- 44:05Speaker 3: No, I'm going to go no too.
- 44:06Speaker 1: This is it. He's going to lead us to believe. Yes,
- 44:10Speaker 1: and then he's going to maybe even go to camp.
- 44:12Speaker 1: But five snaps in next year he's gonna.
- 44:14Speaker 2: Get hurt again and make it one more.
- 44:15Speaker 1: He sent that post and he was like, that's funny,
- 44:18Speaker 1: and then trying to get I went out, Oh when
- 44:19Speaker 1: he hurts, the NFL PA is actually going, hey, we
- 44:22Speaker 1: need grass now. See this? Yeah? Turf, Yeah, and I
- 44:25Speaker 1: don't know much about because I haven't played on turf obviously,
- 44:27Speaker 1: don't know much about turf. But I've just been here
- 44:28Speaker 1: playing turf. I have, but not enough to be injured. Okay,
- 44:32Speaker 1: when have you played on turf? Yesterday? But again we
- 44:36Speaker 1: went and through a ball, same thing, dude. Okay, the
- 44:39Speaker 1: turf is not your friend. But I hear a lot
- 44:41Speaker 1: of people that are knowledgeable of it say turf sucks.
- 44:43Speaker 1: But wible teams have it, then, yeah, it's cheaper.
- 44:46Speaker 3: It's got cheaper.
- 44:48Speaker 1: When he was a million dollar player, Yeah, because of injuries. Yeah. Point.
- 44:52Speaker 1: So the NFL has now said, hey, we don't want
- 44:55Speaker 1: any more turf fields. So there you go.
- 44:59Speaker 2: There's got to be some type of like business going on, right.
- 45:02Speaker 1: Absolutely, they're always has always go to money, always goes
- 45:06Speaker 1: to money. But people I trust tell me that turf
- 45:08Speaker 1: isn't good, doesn't give.
- 45:10Speaker 3: And I think that for a venue, it's easier to
- 45:12Speaker 3: take the turf off, put on a tail Swift concert,
- 45:14Speaker 3: put the ice on.
- 45:15Speaker 1: That's great that it's a great point too. I wonder
- 45:18Speaker 1: if that's part of it. I didn't think about it.
- 45:19Speaker 1: I don't know much about turf management. I don't.
- 45:21Speaker 3: I don't either, but I'm thinking it'd be easier to
- 45:23Speaker 3: get on the.
- 45:24Speaker 1: Show because how do they take the grass off? Like,
- 45:26Speaker 1: I don't know that they do. Everything just goes over it.
- 45:29Speaker 2: They just cover it.
- 45:29Speaker 3: Yeah, I think they just put it over the top
- 45:31Speaker 3: of it. That's tough for someone like me. Do not
- 45:33Speaker 3: worry about my lawn a lot. I'm always watering it,
- 45:35Speaker 3: making sure it's green. It'd be a pain in the butt.
- 45:38Speaker 3: Packers bar that was giving the drinks away. If the
- 45:42Speaker 3: Jets lost. That was all that was hilarious because I
- 45:45Speaker 3: heard about it beforehand.
- 45:46Speaker 1: And so if you go to this bar, it's a
- 45:48Speaker 1: Packers bar, and you drink during the Jets, you have
- 45:52Speaker 1: to buy the drinks before the starts. You to have
- 45:54Speaker 1: before the game, okay, and every if they lose, all
- 45:58Speaker 1: that you've drank you get for free. So they wanted
- 46:00Speaker 1: on Rodgers to lose. We're gonna pay the tab. So
- 46:02Speaker 1: once Aaron Rodgers got hurt, they started running up their bills. Yeah,
- 46:06Speaker 1: and so then they won. It's another all stuck with
- 46:08Speaker 1: these huge.
- 46:09Speaker 3: Bills at the bar.
- 46:10Speaker 1: Hilarious, awesome. That's what they should get there. That's really funny.
- 46:13Speaker 1: And that's what the bar wanted. I know. Which by
- 46:16Speaker 1: the way, I want to say this. We had a
- 46:19Speaker 1: I'm gonna I want to commend to you, Eddie. You
- 46:21Speaker 1: saved Mike's life yesterday I did. We would drove to
- 46:24Speaker 1: Western Kentucky to hang out with the football team. Did
- 46:26Speaker 1: you even know this, Like, did you know what was
- 46:29Speaker 1: happening when it happened? Yes, I mean I heard, but
- 46:32Speaker 1: you didn't turn around. We were all laughing about something
- 46:35Speaker 1: and then Mike started choking because I had to order
- 46:36Speaker 1: all the food. Remember you order all the extra food. Yeah,
- 46:38Speaker 1: I kept pulling, like whose meal is this? And it's
- 46:40Speaker 1: like all I ordered that too.
- 46:42Speaker 3: I feel like there was like some like miracle happened
- 46:45Speaker 3: in the back and you were just with your headphones
- 46:47Speaker 3: on looking.
- 46:48Speaker 1: Forward, Mike, So what happened?
- 46:50Speaker 5: So I was eating at the time, Eddie was making
- 46:52Speaker 5: all these jokes about all the food he ordered, and
- 46:55Speaker 5: then as I laughed.
- 46:55Speaker 1: I was annoyed because you order all the food is it.
- 46:57Speaker 4: Was funny but it was so dumb.
- 46:59Speaker 5: I started laughing as I took a bite because of
- 47:01Speaker 5: what Eddie said, and like a little piece of food
- 47:04Speaker 5: just got stuck in my air hole. And then I
- 47:06Speaker 5: was like, oh, it'll quickly passed. When I tried to swallow,
- 47:08Speaker 5: it did not, and it just got stuck and I
- 47:10Speaker 5: couldn't breathe. And then for a brief moment, I thought,
- 47:13Speaker 5: this is it. I'm never gonna breathe again.
- 47:15Speaker 1: And how did you breathe again? Eddie noticed.
- 47:17Speaker 2: He looked at me and he said can you breathe?
- 47:19Speaker 5: And I was like no, like just mouthed to him
- 47:21Speaker 5: or with my eyes maybe, and he just started being
- 47:24Speaker 5: on the back my back, just like punching me. And
- 47:26Speaker 5: then eventually after like I don't know, maybe ten seconds.
- 47:29Speaker 5: I could breathe again.
- 47:30Speaker 1: Ten seconds, dude, And you were like just chilling in
- 47:33Speaker 1: the front seat.
- 47:33Speaker 3: No.
- 47:33Speaker 1: I was irritated because you were nine meals irritated. Mike
- 47:36Speaker 1: was dying, and I was like, he's gonna be okay,
- 47:39Speaker 1: Yeah he is now because I don't be okay, he
- 47:41Speaker 1: won't be okay. But I gave everybody the phone to order,
- 47:44Speaker 1: and I was gonna pay for everbody's lunches. We drove
- 47:46Speaker 1: to Western Kentucky and Eddie took forever and he was like,
- 47:48Speaker 1: I just don't know. But it turned out he didn't know.
- 47:49Speaker 1: He just kept ordering stuff. That's what took so long, dude.
- 47:51Speaker 1: That place is great. So I had like one hundred
- 47:52Speaker 1: and seventy dollars lunch bill for five of us on
- 47:56Speaker 1: a road trip. When I had a rap, I had
- 47:57Speaker 1: to wrap on the juice and I'd be like, well,
- 48:01Speaker 1: who's avocado? That's me? All right, all right, who's peanut butters?
- 48:06Speaker 1: That's makes me?
- 48:07Speaker 3: Who's rapp?
- 48:10Speaker 1: Had three things? Yeah? Threefour? You're like lunchbox? No, three things?
- 48:15Speaker 1: You went three four entrees. One was like a dessert
- 48:18Speaker 1: that peanut butter banana is like a dessert. Also, I
- 48:20Speaker 1: want to play this because this is us in the
- 48:23Speaker 1: car actually revealing to Eddie that Travis Kelsey and Taylor's
- 48:26Speaker 1: were for hanging out.
- 48:27Speaker 4: So this is live.
- 48:28Speaker 1: He did not know, but this is Eddie's reaction to it.
- 48:31Speaker 1: So here's us in the car talking about this instant
- 48:34Speaker 1: reaction Travis Kelcey and Taylor Swift. Eddie, your thoughts?
- 48:38Speaker 3: What happened? Are they dating? Oh? So it's so new.
- 48:41Speaker 1: So when you're hearing this, this is when news broke.
- 48:45Speaker 1: So maybe out for a couple of days.
- 48:46Speaker 3: Now are they dating? They're hanging out? No, Like those
- 48:50Speaker 3: are two people I would never see work out. Okay,
- 48:53Speaker 3: So this is so instant that Eddie's just hearing about this.
- 48:56Speaker 3: You just broke the news to me. Okay, kick off, Vin,
- 48:59Speaker 3: Do you know that?
- 49:00Speaker 4: Yes?
- 49:00Speaker 1: I do know that.
- 49:01Speaker 3: Okay.
- 49:01Speaker 1: Yeah. So when Travis Kelsey went to her concert a
- 49:04Speaker 1: few months ago, any one of those podcasts, I was
- 49:07Speaker 1: talking about how he had a friend one of those bracelets,
- 49:09Speaker 1: but he put his number on it to give to her,
- 49:11Speaker 1: but he could never get to her. So that was
- 49:13Speaker 1: a story because he talked about it publicly and so
- 49:15Speaker 1: then apparently they started hanging out a little bit. And
- 49:19Speaker 1: that's basically all it said so far, keviny anything else
- 49:21Speaker 1: about it.
- 49:22Speaker 2: No, that's all I've seen two in quotes. They've been
- 49:24Speaker 2: hanging out.
- 49:25Speaker 1: Yes, so not dating, but probably dating a little bit,
- 49:28Speaker 1: but not dating, I say, not dating.
- 49:30Speaker 3: No, no, no, no, I don't think they were like
- 49:32Speaker 3: noirl friend, dude, she's cheer leader, captain, she's on the bleachers. No,
- 49:36Speaker 3: Taylor doesn't date football players. She says it in her music. No,
- 49:41Speaker 3: I think that was old Taylor. Oh this is new Taylor.
- 49:43Speaker 1: Well she goes through eras boy, good boy, you know
- 49:47Speaker 1: what I mean. This is a new new Taylor era.
- 49:49Speaker 3: Oh that's crazy. Good for him. And this is the
- 49:52Speaker 3: whole story of him shooting a shot right, Yes, damn
- 49:55Speaker 3: it worked, so he shot it. Why he took it
- 49:58Speaker 3: to shoot? Didn't get to shoot it, so it just
- 50:00Speaker 3: kind of threw a hail Mary up there. He slide
- 50:02Speaker 3: her his number.
- 50:03Speaker 1: Is that what? No, No, the plan was for you know,
- 50:06Speaker 1: they make the bracelets and he put his number on
- 50:09Speaker 1: a bracelet to give her.
- 50:10Speaker 3: That's what it is.
- 50:11Speaker 1: But he could never get to her. He didn't meet her,
- 50:14Speaker 1: So how did the news get to her? He just
- 50:15Speaker 1: just like he told the story on his podcast with
- 50:18Speaker 1: his brother got it. Yes, So.
- 50:21Speaker 3: How do we feel about this? Eddie telling you man,
- 50:26Speaker 3: my instant reaction is like, she's on the bleachers. Okay,
- 50:30Speaker 3: so you don't like it. I don't like it at all.
- 50:31Speaker 3: I don't think they're a fit Kevin.
- 50:34Speaker 2: I don't trust anything she does from a pr standpoint,
- 50:36Speaker 2: I think it's all just for just more. She's so big.
- 50:41Speaker 2: But does he really ever date anybody? Honestly, like, date somebody?
- 50:44Speaker 3: She was in a serious relationship before this with Joe
- 50:46Speaker 3: Alllett for years.
- 50:48Speaker 2: Yeah, just to write another album.
- 50:50Speaker 3: Believe. I believe they're hanging out.
- 50:52Speaker 1: I also would believe that there's no way he is
- 50:55Speaker 1: the reason the news came out, meaning I'm sure if
- 50:59Speaker 1: they went out, she was like, you shut your mouth,
- 51:01Speaker 1: I tell you you can talk about it, right, So
- 51:03Speaker 1: I'm sure because it's a whole different level of fame. Yeah,
- 51:06Speaker 1: Like he's like known in the sports world. He's known,
- 51:09Speaker 1: but she's like one of the most fans people in
- 51:10Speaker 1: the world. And if you start dating Taylor Swift, I'm
- 51:15Speaker 1: sure she's cool. But there's a whole new microscope that
- 51:19Speaker 1: comes on to you from people that didn't even know
- 51:21Speaker 1: you existed, which would be crazy if you're Travis, because
- 51:26Speaker 1: actually I put some superstar los.
- 51:28Speaker 2: Doesn't he seem like the guy that would like that?
- 51:29Speaker 1: Though?
- 51:30Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 51:30Speaker 1: Sure, yes, until it goes sour. He's pretty beloved right now. Yeah,
- 51:34Speaker 1: just generally beloved. You cross up a swiftie, they go
- 51:39Speaker 1: tell all their swifties kill and then it's over. Yeah,
- 51:42Speaker 1: it's over. So he better hope marries her.
- 51:45Speaker 3: Interesting or that's one thing I'll say, though, Taylor, I
- 51:49Speaker 3: don't know does she does she get married? Has she
- 51:51Speaker 3: been married now? And does she get married? Probably at
- 51:53Speaker 3: some point?
- 51:54Speaker 1: I mean she's only thirty one, thirty two something like that,
- 51:58Speaker 1: right three?
- 51:58Speaker 2: I think they're both thirty three?
- 52:00Speaker 3: Oh wow, Okay, I didn't realize they were all right,
- 52:03Speaker 3: So how long do we give it? And will they
- 52:04Speaker 3: ever be boyfriend girlfriend?
- 52:08Speaker 1: And also is that why it's hurt?
- 52:11Speaker 3: She told him not to play. You do not play
- 52:13Speaker 3: till this news comes out? That's funny. No, I say, no,
- 52:17Speaker 3: I don't even think it's a real thing. If they're
- 52:18Speaker 3: hanging out, they hang out for a little bit and
- 52:20Speaker 3: then it's over. Yeah, the same.
- 52:22Speaker 1: I think it'll fade and there'll be some sort of
- 52:24Speaker 1: like slight announcement, no longer hanging out.
- 52:29Speaker 2: Does it make it past the football season?
- 52:32Speaker 3: No, I don't think So. He's a bro and she
- 52:36Speaker 3: just doesn't seem like someone that would data bro um bro.
- 52:40Speaker 1: So like that. Mattie Healy, the late singer nineteen seventy nine,
- 52:42Speaker 1: not a bro.
- 52:43Speaker 3: Yeah, kind of kind of art yeah, artsy whatever.
- 52:47Speaker 1: Whatever year Smashing Pumpkins, Get I mixed up there? That's
- 52:52Speaker 1: sung in the band.
- 52:52Speaker 3: Well, so let's wee date John Mary's not a bro,
- 52:55Speaker 3: not a bro. Joe Allen was an actor, so he
- 52:57Speaker 3: let a fro. He's not a bro.
- 52:59Speaker 2: Maybe she's trying to something different from this time, for
- 53:01Speaker 2: this new era, the Kelsey era.
- 53:03Speaker 1: Maybe right, If you want to you want different results,
- 53:06Speaker 1: sometimes you got to do it a different way. Yeah,
- 53:09Speaker 1: but it is a weird couple to think of them together, right, absolutely?
- 53:15Speaker 3: And how big is he? He's huge? Yeah, but she's tall.
- 53:18Speaker 3: She's probably five to ten.
- 53:20Speaker 4: Sure.
- 53:20Speaker 3: Yeah, she's she's long, tall, fit. So yeah, you ever
- 53:26Speaker 3: you ever met her me?
- 53:27Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 53:27Speaker 3: Yeah, okay, she came into our studio. Yeah, that was
- 53:31Speaker 3: the one time I was pretty speechless. Really, Oh yeah,
- 53:34Speaker 3: I mean I love Taylor Swift. I've loved Taylor Swift
- 53:37Speaker 3: since you just love blondes. Dude, let's be honest and
- 53:40Speaker 3: not like no, let's just be honest like that. Let's
- 53:42Speaker 3: just be honest. It's the fact that it's Taylor Swift.
- 53:44Speaker 3: And even when she was like I think she came
- 53:46Speaker 3: in probably a red album.
- 53:48Speaker 1: Yes, that's the first time. And I maybe don't know
- 53:51Speaker 1: she's been in a yes, but yes, the first.
- 53:52Speaker 3: Time I met her, yes, red album, And I mean
- 53:55Speaker 3: I was she was already really big, pretty blown up,
- 53:58Speaker 3: and I was like, this is just amazing. And she
- 54:00Speaker 3: just holds herself so so like professional, Like she walks
- 54:06Speaker 3: in and she's just like she's in charge. Eddie has
- 54:08Speaker 3: a boner right now, No, guys, come on, I have
- 54:12Speaker 3: some reps in charge. He's in charge, man like, she
- 54:15Speaker 3: like you don't talk until she talks too. Again, we're
- 54:19Speaker 3: going through Eddie's fantasies again. He was blowing this out
- 54:22Speaker 3: of proportion.
- 54:22Speaker 2: Okay, So you don't think they fit because you're jealous.
- 54:24Speaker 3: So you like Dominatrix, No, No, I just don't. I
- 54:29Speaker 3: just don't know. That's just not her type. The more
- 54:31Speaker 3: her type than Travis Kelcey. My god, I'm here's me
- 54:35Speaker 3: as an examler, and it is okay. So you wanted
- 54:37Speaker 3: to put a cigarette out on your nipple, I would
- 54:39Speaker 3: let her, that would be okay with me. But really,
- 54:44Speaker 3: that's your type, Bodes. It has nothing to do with
- 54:46Speaker 3: my type. I'm just telling you, look look at this.
- 54:48Speaker 3: Your wife, Yeah, blonde Gwyneth Paltrow and sing blonde Taylor
- 54:54Speaker 3: sweft laon those are like your three. But even Taylor
- 54:57Speaker 3: was just dark haired dude like, it didn't matter. It's
- 55:00Speaker 3: Taylor Swift. She is awesome. No one's arguing that, well,
- 55:04Speaker 3: it sounds like you are. No, we're not okay.
- 55:06Speaker 1: It's the reaction is Eddie doesn't know how to feel.
- 55:08Speaker 1: I feel like he's he has six emotions all in one.
- 55:10Speaker 1: He he doesn't know how to express himself. I don't
- 55:13Speaker 1: like It's like a three year old under forgetting feelings
- 55:16Speaker 1: for the first time.
- 55:17Speaker 3: I don't like it. I feel like Jay's. I feel
- 55:19Speaker 3: like Travis Kelsey is just doing it for fun, and dude,
- 55:21Speaker 3: you're gonna date Taylor, don't do it for fun.
- 55:23Speaker 1: I saw a club of Travis Kelsey's old dating reality show.
- 55:26Speaker 3: Did you see that? What was that called it's all
- 55:28Speaker 3: like the intro. I think, yeah, maybe that's what it was.
- 55:32Speaker 1: It had to be when he was in college or
- 55:33Speaker 1: something or like or I think he was gonna use
- 55:37Speaker 1: first year pro Yeah, yeah, college is probably not. He
- 55:40Speaker 1: probably couldn't. Yeah, that's probably it, and he know what
- 55:42Speaker 1: it was called sixteen, Yeah, Catching Kelsey twenty sixteen.
- 55:46Speaker 3: Are you guys gonna watch the Golden Bachelor? No, I
- 55:49Speaker 3: don't know.
- 55:50Speaker 1: I don't watch that non Golden Bachelor, the Regular Bachelor. Yeah,
- 55:55Speaker 1: I'm not gonna watch the Golden Bachelor.
- 55:57Speaker 2: But if there was about plumb bachelor's watch probably be
- 55:59Speaker 2: the Golden Wood.
- 56:00Speaker 3: Do you think they hook up? They have to there?
- 56:03Speaker 1: Is that?
- 56:03Speaker 2: What's the Golden one?
- 56:04Speaker 3: They're old people?
- 56:05Speaker 2: Okay, that's what I thought.
- 56:06Speaker 3: That's amazing Golden as.
- 56:07Speaker 1: If they've slept over five thousand people, they get the
- 56:09Speaker 1: gold card totally. Yeah, you gotta prove it, you gotta
- 56:12Speaker 1: show your body count.
- 56:13Speaker 3: Yeah, that's a whole different beast.
- 56:14Speaker 1: You get five thousand sleeps, you get to be on
- 56:16Speaker 1: that show.
- 56:17Speaker 3: What's a beast? Just the fact that yeah, they have
- 56:19Speaker 3: like hooked up with five thousand people at that age,
- 56:22Speaker 3: not just not just if love of haven't been married
- 56:24Speaker 3: for a long time though, right, it's a whole other dynamic. Yeah,
- 56:29Speaker 3: And so like you're the old dude, do you see
- 56:32Speaker 3: someone your age as attractive or like? Are you still
- 56:34Speaker 3: attracted to thirty year olds for the second option? Buddy,
- 56:39Speaker 3: That's what I'm saying. So I think they even have
- 56:40Speaker 3: like a younger girl or younger woman on there, oh,
- 56:43Speaker 3: like as a contestant.
- 56:45Speaker 1: Yeah, maybe like late forties, early fifties.
- 56:47Speaker 3: So then all these like other sixties seventy year olds,
- 56:49Speaker 3: they have no chance. But I don't know that that's true.
- 56:51Speaker 3: They have no chance. I don't know.
- 56:52Speaker 1: I want to listen to the previews and talked about
- 56:54Speaker 1: it on that show.
- 56:54Speaker 3: I think that's that's all it's out.
- 56:56Speaker 1: But it's like it kind of grosses me out when
- 56:57Speaker 1: they kiss, Yeah, I'll wrinkle lips and so right, and
- 57:00Speaker 1: then once I get old, it won't scross me out.
- 57:05Speaker 3: But sometimes on during a movie, like we were watching
- 57:07Speaker 3: Good One Hunting the other night. I never seen it before?
- 57:09Speaker 3: What is that crazy? That crazy? He's never seen that?
- 57:12Speaker 2: That is unbelievable movie.
- 57:15Speaker 3: Yeah, it's the best, tell me about it. Unbelievable, never
- 57:18Speaker 3: seen it? We were told to watch it. I was
- 57:20Speaker 3: told to watch it with my therapist said that relate
- 57:23Speaker 3: to some stuff, and there you go. So I watched
- 57:25Speaker 3: it and I were thinking, Wow, this movie is so good?
- 57:27Speaker 3: Why nobody tell me about it?
- 57:29Speaker 1: And so there was a whole bunch of makeout scenes,
- 57:33Speaker 1: like hookup scenes with Minie Driver and Matt Damon. And
- 57:37Speaker 1: you know what, even though I'm an adult, I stilled
- 57:38Speaker 1: kind of uncomfortable with watching people make it out.
- 57:40Speaker 3: I remember the first time I saw that. I'm like, damn,
- 57:42Speaker 3: man Damon has a bunch of moles on his back.
- 57:44Speaker 3: It's Kyle Gross. You remember that. I remember that specifically,
- 57:48Speaker 3: who has more moles? Me or him on the back?
- 57:50Speaker 3: Ooh that's a time. Oh let's go.
- 57:53Speaker 2: I know that's the first thing you thought about when
- 57:55Speaker 2: he's on.
- 57:56Speaker 3: Wow, a lot of moles.
- 57:58Speaker 1: Yeah, I've had to get a bunch of moles cut
- 57:59Speaker 1: off my back though.
- 58:01Speaker 3: But yeah, man Damien was kind of a stunt.
- 58:04Speaker 1: Yeah. And so it's been half like yeah, twenty years
- 58:06Speaker 1: old wrote that freaking movie. If you guys haven't seen
- 58:08Speaker 1: that new movie called Good One, honey, go check it out.
- 58:11Speaker 3: It's free right now on Max. But I never see it.
- 58:13Speaker 1: But anyway, Travis Kelsey and Taylor Swift, I just want
- 58:16Speaker 1: to record this segment as an instant, instant, instant reaction
- 58:19Speaker 1: and then play it back later.
- 58:21Speaker 3: So, Eddie, you are confused. I can't believe it. We
- 58:24Speaker 3: are in the car, there's an am. They pulled us over.
- 58:27Speaker 3: There's an ambulance, but reads out running it. You don't
- 58:31Speaker 3: have to read. You're supposed to stop it. Pull over.
- 58:34Speaker 3: You don't have to pull over if they can't catch you.
- 58:36Speaker 1: It's round the outrun reads are running from the ambulance,
- 58:38Speaker 1: so he doesn't have to pull over.
- 58:40Speaker 2: I will get us home.
- 58:41Speaker 3: Serious, Hey, for real, though, when you when an ambulance
- 58:43Speaker 3: comes by and you pull over, do you try to
- 58:45Speaker 3: get behind as fast as you can just so you
- 58:46Speaker 3: can like no, like you say, it's a blocker. The
- 58:49Speaker 3: ambulance is my full back after of course, the same thing.
- 58:52Speaker 3: The ambulance is. Larry's all good. Yes, dude, just follow him.
- 58:55Speaker 3: You'll get to where you're going quick.
- 58:57Speaker 1: Yeah, you're right, unless you get pulled over. I do
- 59:00Speaker 1: that all the time for bird Dog and an ambulance.
- 59:03Speaker 1: We are driving back and we're in the Hyundai right now,
- 59:05Speaker 1: and the Hunday is awesome, and it's a it's electric,
- 59:08Speaker 1: but Eddie's never been an electric car before. I mean
- 59:10Speaker 1: I have electric car myself, another one, but it really
- 59:13Speaker 1: scares Eddie that it's got the mile.
- 59:14Speaker 3: We drove all the way to Kentucky and back on
- 59:17Speaker 3: one charge, because I think everyone says you don't want
- 59:20Speaker 3: to go on long trips on these things because it's
- 59:22Speaker 3: not like stopping at the gas station. You gotta charge
- 59:24Speaker 3: this thing up. And I keep seeing the battery go down.
- 59:27Speaker 1: Well that's what happens sending with gas, it goes down.
- 59:29Speaker 1: We left and went to Kentucky to do the Western
- 59:34Speaker 1: Kentucky episode of Too Much Access.
- 59:36Speaker 3: And twenty five whistles next week. And so with that,
- 59:39Speaker 3: I think we went up. There were like two hundred
- 59:40Speaker 3: miles on it, and so what are.
- 59:42Speaker 1: We at read we're fifty seven the Yeah Dane twenty.
- 59:48Speaker 3: That's scared.
- 59:48Speaker 1: That's a quarter of a take of gas. But if
- 59:51Speaker 1: you had a quarter to take a gas would you
- 59:52Speaker 1: be scared?
- 59:53Speaker 3: No? Okay, it's the same thing because I could just
- 59:55Speaker 3: get gas right now, I get exit right here and
- 59:57Speaker 3: get gas. What am I gonna do? Exit and find
- 59:59Speaker 3: a target charge me up? Well, yeah, if you needed to. Yeah,
- 1:00:02Speaker 3: but it's like it. It wouldn't cost you any money either.
- 1:00:05Speaker 3: That's that's awesome, that's the cool part of it, for sure.
- 1:00:07Speaker 3: I plugged this thing in at home. First of all,
- 1:00:09Speaker 3: I don't ever pay for gas because my car is electric.
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: This one's electric, I guess for the Bronco, but I
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: only drive it if the weather's perfect.
- 1:00:17Speaker 3: But I plug it in six hours later. Now I
- 1:00:21Speaker 3: pay for gas for a week. If your phone is
- 1:00:25Speaker 3: at twenty percent? Are you freaking out? Answer answer, I'm.
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: Not freaking out, but I know that I've got to
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: at least get it near a charger in the next
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: little bit.
- 1:00:34Speaker 3: What I'm saying, But we're just driving still. But we're
- 1:00:37Speaker 3: all still going toward the house right now. You know
- 1:00:38Speaker 3: what's crazy to read was charging his phone. I'm like,
- 1:00:40Speaker 3: what are you doing here? Do you think he's sucking
- 1:00:42Speaker 3: the energy from that? You need educate it on electric cars, buddy.
- 1:00:46Speaker 2: So we're we're talking about all the way there though,
- 1:00:48Speaker 2: that if you forget to charge your phone, you wake
- 1:00:50Speaker 2: up be like, oh dang it, but I can grab
- 1:00:51Speaker 2: a charger. Have you ever forgotten to charge of this
- 1:00:53Speaker 2: or your car?
- 1:00:55Speaker 3: Good question? Yeah, probably once or twice you wake up
- 1:00:59Speaker 3: and you get in there and it's empty, and then
- 1:01:00Speaker 3: you have the uber. No, I have multiple cars, not
- 1:01:05Speaker 3: up bounds, dud hey. Hypothetically they're a normal person.
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: Normal persons like deal with the truth or not?
- 1:01:14Speaker 3: We got it right there?
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: If it was so, what I would do first? If
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: I got out and the car was dead, if I
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: forgot to charge it, I would check the Hyundai.
- 1:01:24Speaker 3: And if the Hyundai was dead, I would check the weather.
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: And if the weather was bad, I couldn't take the Bronco.
- 1:01:31Speaker 3: So I just and if so ridiculous.
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: So if there's bad weather and I called my driver
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: there's bad weather, I would take Caitlin's SUV. And if
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: that were out of gas, then I think I would
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: call an uber as my fifth fifth round quarterback.
- 1:01:48Speaker 2: You would you call Eddie or an Uber?
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: First?
- 1:01:50Speaker 3: I called No? I called Tim. Oh, you wouldn't call me?
- 1:01:54Speaker 3: What Eddie doesn't live like on the way.
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: I think it could be you could be yet be
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: on the way, but not normally. Yes, I agree, but
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: I would call Tims had a security because he lives close.
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: He's got a big truck. Yeah, So anyway, Travis Kelsey
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: otels what how about that.
- 1:02:08Speaker 2: Huh, that's crazy?
- 1:02:08Speaker 3: How about that?
- 1:02:09Speaker 2: All right, Eddie Jellius.
- 1:02:10Speaker 3: Back to more scheduled programming. Thank you.
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: Okay, that's pretty much it on the show. You can
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: follow my bets over on DraftKings over on the app.
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: But again, because there are no big games of two
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: top twenty five teams, yeah, there aren't a lot of close,
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: cool fun spreads you gotta go with, like the I mean,
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: even Penn State in Illinois. I'm surprised it's a sixteen
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: point Penn State sick. So I mean I might just
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: jump on that like that Illinoism in trouble over last
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: sixth No, God, no, he had a great year last year.
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: He's turned that program around. I don't know what they're
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: gonna do this year, but no, they lost a lot
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: of guys. Yeah, they had a good draft class.
- 1:02:55Speaker 2: Yeah, and they still have two defensive linemen that are
- 1:02:57Speaker 2: gonna go NFL.
- 1:02:58Speaker 3: So it's that.
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: I mean, the Tennessee Florida game is kind of interesting. Yeah,
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: but Tennessee's over a touchdown favorite. Not the best week
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: for close, like fun games before, but hopefully we get
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: some good upsets here.
- 1:03:12Speaker 3: Colorado.
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: Colorado State's gonna be interesting, just because we keep goting
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: to watch.
- 1:03:14Speaker 3: Colorado every week. Even my boys are like, are we
- 1:03:16Speaker 3: watching Colorado? That's exciting.
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: So I was just looking at the games that I
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: was that I'm going to bet. I think I'm gonna
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: do Oklahoma minus twenty six and a half at Tulsa.
- 1:03:29Speaker 3: That's when I'm writing down. Yeah, somebody played Tulsa last
- 1:03:32Speaker 3: week and they dominated. Tulsa didn't look Yeah, they couldn't
- 1:03:36Speaker 3: do anything.
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: LSU Atsissippi State. Well, I don't know what to feel
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: about LSU. I hope LSU kills them, just kills them,
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: because we play LSU the next week, and I want
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: LSU to feel good. Oh yeah, that's good, you know,
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: kind of just chill a little bit going to the week.
- 1:03:47Speaker 4: Yeah, but just not.
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: I was just looking at the whole slate here. Not
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: a lot NFL wise, you know, we talked about that.
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: The Packers and the Falcons is interesting to me, not
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: because it's going to be the most fun sexy game
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: to watch, but the Packers they good. Even the Falcons,
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: you know, they look solid. Jordan Love looked way better
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: than we thought he was gonna be. Does he go
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: back to what we thought he was or is he
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: actually pretty good. I'm anxious to see the Bears again
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: because they did not play well justin Feelds like terrible,
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: but I think he's better than that. The Commanders and
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: the Broncos. The Broncos are a favorite, which is crazy.
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: The Broncos are a favorite. The Commanders won, but they
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: beat you know, the Cardinals, who were tar right. They
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: played barely right, but barely so week two, there's just
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: so much more. And then Miami if they're just gonna
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: be and they're playing the planting your boys. The Patriot
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: that's at New England and Miami is a two point
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: favorite to a half point favorite. So that means though
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: that Miami's really favorite, like five or six points three
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: points for being there? Correct, man? They look so good
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: to it looks so good Tyreek couldn't be stopped.
- 1:04:55Speaker 2: But that Patriots defense is good too, Yeah they are.
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: I hear you, buddy, watch out you're one guarantee Patriots,
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: that's your own team.
- 1:05:04Speaker 2: He can do that though, No, no, I don't guarantee
- 1:05:06Speaker 2: you that.
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: We should have a guarantee and if you lose, you
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: put ten bucks in the pot. You don't win anything
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: until the end of the year and we'll have out
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: stuff for the win every week. Yeah, you guarantee, and
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: if you don't, if you get right, you don't put
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: any money in and we can pick the same team
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: you got. Yeah, one guarantee versus the spread.
- 1:05:22Speaker 2: Oh thread, that changes everything, it really does.
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: It can be college or NFL versus the spread.
- 1:05:30Speaker 2: I'm gonna go with the Packers minus one.
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: Packers minus one and a half at the Falcons. Yeah
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: one and a half, yep, Okay, Eddie, give me the
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: Chiefs over the Jaguars three and a half.
- 1:05:46Speaker 2: Okay, they're three and a half.
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: Way. I'm gonna go Oklahoma minus twenty six and a
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: half at Tulsa. Okay, sticking to that college. If you miss,
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: you put ten bucks in. But you can also you
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: want to play Reid, Yeah, sure, I don't. I don't
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: know what's going on, but I will definitely play. It's
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: probably not the best to play then, but if you
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: don't get in week one, you can't get in the
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: money at the end. Do you want to look at
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: the NFL? So pick any n read's been killing it.
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: By the way, Reid is working NonStop, just content guy,
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: editing and shooting. I mean just NonStop.
- 1:06:25Speaker 3: He's got a sizzle who's been trying to work on
- 1:06:27Speaker 3: for me, but you keep him busy man four months.
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: At this point, I'm like, don't worry about that, Sizl.
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: You're good read read.
- 1:06:36Speaker 3: What do you have here?
- 1:06:37Speaker 5: Let's see.
- 1:06:39Speaker 2: Mm hmm Chargers a Titans.
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: Hey, don't tell him what to do here, Kevin, why
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: don't you pick that? Or even are the spreads on here?
- 1:06:48Speaker 1: That's what the plus and the minus is the breakdown.
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: It's so small. Okay, let's see here talking out. I
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: don't see here. We'll look at that.
- 1:06:59Speaker 4: What games?
- 1:06:59Speaker 2: He looking at it?
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: Over there? I think was Ravens looks pretty good, you know. Okay,
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: you know you can pick one of the games we
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: picked too, like Chess Jaguars.
- 1:07:10Speaker 4: We're gonna go, you know.
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: I just I'm feeling good about this. I'm gonna go
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: Texans and Colts. Okay, so who are you taking? I'm
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: gonna take.
- 1:07:21Speaker 2: So on here, Indy's one point favorite minus.
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: One Okay, I'm gonna go Texans. So Texans getting a
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: point huh, okay, there he is. They can lose the
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: game by one, you still win, that's right, all right?
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: If you miss it's ten bucks in the pot. This
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: is gonna be fun.
- 1:07:39Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: I like that. I like that, but you don't win anything,
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: I mean at the all right, now, I'm good, Okay,
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: Mike smart man, Come on, what I save your life for?
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: Live a little hey? He is.
- 1:07:55Speaker 2: The best part after all that, Eddie goes, would you
- 1:07:57Speaker 2: have breathed without me?
- 1:07:59Speaker 1: You wanted to credit, right, I just wanted to know
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: how true it was? All right, that's what you guys.
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: Follow us at twenty five whistles. Thanks, thanks for being here,
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: and we'll see you next week. And let's hope we
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: got a bunch of winners, you know, more smiles and
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: frowns is what I say. Five game, Barley, let's go.
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: We'll see you guys next week. Bye, buddy,
