- 0:00SPEAKER_01: What do you want your life to stand for?
- 0:02SPEAKER_01: Not someday, not only after you were gone, but in the way you live right now.
- 0:08SPEAKER_01: For a lot of people, legacy feels like something so far away.

- 1:45SPEAKER_01: Her message also reminds us that legacy is not just what we leave behind, it is how we choose to live today.
- 1:53SPEAKER_01: Nancy, welcome to your thoughts, your reality.
- 1:55SPEAKER_01: Tell us a little more about yourself.
- 1:57SPEAKER_02: Thanks for having me, Mike.
- 1:58SPEAKER_02: I appreciate it.
- 1:59SPEAKER_02: So, well, the really important stuff is that I'm a mom to two boys.
- 2:04SPEAKER_02: Well, men.
- 2:09SPEAKER_02: Both first responders.
- 2:10SPEAKER_02: My son Will is a wildland firefighter, what they call it, a fuel specialist with the Bureau of Indi of Indian Affairs up in the upper peninsula of Michigan.
- 2:24SPEAKER_02: I'm in Arizona.
- 2:26SPEAKER_02: He's about as far as you can get without being in Canada.
- 2:29unknown: So very cool.
- 2:31SPEAKER_02: And then uh my other son is actually he just retired last week.
- 2:36SPEAKER_02: He's a retired policeman and is going back to work with the internal office works of the of the police force that he was working for.
- 2:46SPEAKER_02: So they are my pride and joy, along with the children that they created.
- 2:53SPEAKER_02: And I've got three grandsons.
- 2:55SPEAKER_02: Ben is 15 and going into uh driver's training this month.
- 3:02SPEAKER_02: Yeah, exactly.
- 3:03SPEAKER_02: I remember well, thank god I don't have to do it this time.
- 3:07SPEAKER_02: And then TJ's 10 and Cole is 27.
- 3:12SPEAKER_01: Got it.
- 3:13SPEAKER_01: Very cool, very cool.
- 3:14SPEAKER_01: So if we can, let's go ahead and jump in.
- 3:16SPEAKER_02: Sure.
- 3:17SPEAKER_01: Awesome.
- 3:18SPEAKER_01: So uh when you hear legacy, which is the 10th violent war, what does that mean to you personally?
- 3:26SPEAKER_02: So uh I mean I'm with Matt John Maxwell, the Maxwell Leadership.
- 3:30SPEAKER_02: And so we talk a lot about legacy and what that means to the people around us and how to that's not something you leave, it's something you live.
- 3:44SPEAKER_02: And I also I was listening to uh Andy Stanley one of his sermons one day, and he said his wife had a thing of uh what do you what do you want people who are standing in line at your visitation or what, what do you want them to be saying about you?
- 4:05SPEAKER_02: And how do you live your life today to make that happen the way you want it to?
- 4:11SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I I love that because people, I think, you know, like you said, they just automatically think of you know when you're gone, but you're building a legacy every day.
- 4:20SPEAKER_01: Again, like you said, the way we live and and so on.
- 4:23SPEAKER_01: So I hey we knew that was gonna happen.
- 4:29SPEAKER_01: Um that's not that's not gonna help.
- 4:32SPEAKER_01: Um, so yeah, so I I think it's super important for us just to realize that the way we live every day is really what you're leaving behind.
- 4:40unknown: Correct.
- 4:42SPEAKER_01: Perfect.
- 4:42SPEAKER_01: So why do you believe you know legacy is is something, you know, we just talked about it.
- 4:47SPEAKER_01: Oh, you know what?
- 4:48SPEAKER_01: Let's just skip that one.
- 4:49SPEAKER_01: How do your daily choices we jumped ahead and didn't even know it.
- 4:52SPEAKER_01: How do your daily choices shape the impact we eventually have on the people around us?
- 4:59SPEAKER_02: So I'm a strong believer in purpose or calling, oh, however you would like to name that.
- 5:09SPEAKER_02: I think years ago I read start with why, and that really had a profound impact on me.
- 5:19SPEAKER_02: And just looking and and looking at that core to start with, and then moving out from there to do the what and the how.
- 5:30SPEAKER_02: And so the the why is the most important, but the how is super important as well because making every choice that you make has an effect on the next day, the next hour, and then you know, someone's always watching you, and you know, it sounds like that's so creepy at all, Nancy.
- 5:55SPEAKER_02: Paranoia, don't happen.
- 5:58SPEAKER_01: I understand what you mean.
- 6:00SPEAKER_02: Yeah, when you're a leader or when you are have your own business, people are watching you to see if you are living your values, walking your walk, your talk, and all those kinds of things.
- 6:13SPEAKER_02: So all those choices add up to how people's perception of you is, and what do you want that to be?
- 6:25SPEAKER_01: Yeah, absolutely.
- 6:26SPEAKER_01: And I mean, I you know, I'm big on on and I say it all the time is you're living yesterday's choices, right?
- 6:33SPEAKER_01: It may have been a month ago, 10 years ago, but you're still living yesterday's choices in pretty much all aspects of life.
- 6:43SPEAKER_01: So, so I just got sidetracked, I'm sorry.
- 6:46SPEAKER_01: Sorry, so with you know, you're okay, you're okay.
- 6:48SPEAKER_01: Hey, this is organic conversation, like we were just hanging out talking, the dog was with us.
- 6:52SPEAKER_01: It's absolutely fine.
- 6:54SPEAKER_01: So, you know, with that said, you talk about the leadership, you know, you were just talking about that.
- 7:00SPEAKER_01: So I think also if and I I want to get some more thoughts from you, is the people that are around you are watching you, you know, watching, watching if you're living within integrity, I'll I'll say.
- 7:12SPEAKER_01: Because here's the thing is is most people when they look to up to someone as a leader, there's a reason why.
- 7:18SPEAKER_01: They're connected for some reason, right?
- 7:20SPEAKER_01: Whether that be your leadership style, they just you know like being around you for whatever reason, or they believe in what you're building.
- 7:28SPEAKER_01: So can you talk a little bit, just a little bit more about that?
- 7:32SPEAKER_01: Would you agree, first of all, I guess?
- 7:36SPEAKER_02: Yes, I think all of the above.
- 7:39SPEAKER_02: I agree with all of those things.
- 7:43SPEAKER_02: I think a lot of it has to do with the message that you're putting out, and does that resonate with the folks?
- 7:50SPEAKER_02: And is it are you being authentic, transparent, those kind of things?
- 7:57SPEAKER_02: And just you know, is what I'm bringing to the world helping and adding value to your life?
- 8:08SPEAKER_01: Yeah, absolutely.
- 8:12SPEAKER_01: Okay, so I I I also am a believer of when you're living in integrity and in a good place, and I guess negative place as well, you you magnetize the same like people towards you.
- 8:28SPEAKER_02: Well, isn't that the truth?
- 8:29SPEAKER_02: Because I lived that negative piece for a long time.
- 8:34SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and I think in today's world, a lot of people do.
- 8:37SPEAKER_01: I mean, I'm not gonna just sit there and blame social media, I'm gonna blame it on choices, but I I think that a lot of people are just kind of stuck into that, just with social media alone, and that negativity.
- 8:48SPEAKER_02: See, I don't think it's all choices.
- 8:50SPEAKER_02: I think sometimes it's the world around you, you know, it's yourself, others, and the world around you.
- 8:56SPEAKER_02: True.
- 8:56SPEAKER_02: And when your role models are negative, that's kind of your learning style, your learning method.
- 9:06SPEAKER_02: Um, and you just I think you pick up habits that are modeled for you.
- 9:12SPEAKER_01: I agree.
- 9:13SPEAKER_01: I agree, but at the same time, I think you can also choose who you're hanging around with to some extent.
- 9:20SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 9:21SPEAKER_02: I'm going back to family, yeah.
- 9:23SPEAKER_02: Okay, absolutely.
- 9:24SPEAKER_02: There's not a lot of choice than that, you know, and and you're that yeah, I get that, especially growing up, absolutely.
- 9:32SPEAKER_02: Yeah, as a younger person, yes.
- 9:34SPEAKER_02: And that, but that that all that influences the choices you make as a young adult.
- 9:40SPEAKER_02: And until you gain an awareness that what's you know, people do what works for them until it stops working.
- 9:49SPEAKER_02: And when it stops working for you, that's when you're gonna really look and make those changes.
- 9:55SPEAKER_01: Yeah, absolutely.
- 9:57SPEAKER_01: So, you know, I with your work, I want to get into uh because it's very interesting to me.
- 10:01SPEAKER_01: And I don't know a lot about hypnosis and those kinds of things, but can we talk about some of the modalities that you have found, you know, really effective in your work and how that applies here?
- 10:11SPEAKER_02: Sure.
- 10:12SPEAKER_02: Uh so of course I use neuroencoding because we're both neuroencoders.
- 10:17SPEAKER_02: I'm also a dual elite and loved helping people that way.
- 10:23SPEAKER_02: I also have I use Dr.
- 10:26SPEAKER_02: Eamon's brain health things.
- 10:29SPEAKER_02: So the whole structure, the hardware of your brain, and how that works and how that uh affects your ability to think differently.
- 10:41SPEAKER_02: Because if your brain is damaged, you're not going to have the same thought capacities, you know, prefrontal cortex is all your decision making.
- 10:50SPEAKER_02: If you've concussed there, you could have some issues.
- 10:54SPEAKER_02: But so I use Dr.
- 10:55SPEAKER_02: Eamon.
- 10:56SPEAKER_02: I'm also certified uh body code healers.
- 11:01SPEAKER_02: So it's an energy coat, energy healing that is done through muscle testing.
- 11:07SPEAKER_02: And what we're doing is we're releasing emotional blocks and seeing what part of the body that's affecting, and possibly when the onset was.
- 11:19SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 11:20SPEAKER_02: And then my I went from there to hypnosis because I did a one of the things that really was a turning point for me was I did a hypnosis, seventh path hypnosis is what it was called.
- 11:37SPEAKER_02: And it really, again, it's an awareness thing until you know what your thoughts, your deep subconscious thoughts are, you're not going to be able to change those things.
- 11:52SPEAKER_02: Yeah, and so hypnosis helps you look at things differently, and it's sometimes really so you know, I love the neuroencoding.
- 12:01SPEAKER_02: Sometimes you need to go a little deeper than that to get to other things that are your subconscious, is a sneaky little devil, yeah.
- 12:14SPEAKER_01: Absolutely.
- 12:15SPEAKER_01: So explain that a little bit more, if you will.
- 12:17SPEAKER_01: Then let's jump back into.
- 12:18SPEAKER_01: I want to I want to understand more about the hypnosis.
- 12:21SPEAKER_01: So let's talk about your subconscious.
- 12:23SPEAKER_01: And you say it's just it's it's sneaky, right?
- 12:25SPEAKER_01: Talk about that.
- 12:26SPEAKER_01: What is I mean, I understand, but for you know, everybody, I should say everybody, people that don't understand a lot about the subconscious.
- 12:33SPEAKER_01: Talk about that a little bit.
- 12:34SPEAKER_01: Why is the subconscious so why is the subconscious?
- 12:40SPEAKER_02: Because that's where your belief system lies.
- 12:42SPEAKER_02: That's your whole stories that you've come to believe all sit in there.
- 12:49SPEAKER_02: And the problem is that a lot of them are not true, and when they're not true, you're believing in things that aren't really, you know, true stories.
- 13:03SPEAKER_02: And we we in a in a nanosecond, we perceive what we think is happening in a situation, right?
- 13:12SPEAKER_02: And that's just based on what we already know, past experiences, emotions, and those kind of things.
- 13:18SPEAKER_02: That and that's could be the furthest thing from the truth in the situation.
- 13:24SPEAKER_02: You know, she looked at me funny, oh, she doesn't like me.
- 13:27SPEAKER_02: Well, no, she had an itch, you know.
- 13:30SPEAKER_01: Uh yeah, and I think it's I think it's really important for people to when they when they have those negative thoughts, is ask themselves, is this really true, right?
- 13:40SPEAKER_02: Oh yeah, yeah.
- 13:41SPEAKER_02: I'm a big uh fan of Byron Cady's four questions and wedding love is no loving what is is the book that I got that from.
- 13:50SPEAKER_02: And yeah.
- 13:53SPEAKER_01: So so you know, your subconscious is gathering this information because it's just bringing in whatever data it has, right?
- 14:01SPEAKER_01: So let's talk about hypnosis, because I think hypnosis is literally it and again, correct me if I'm wrong, please, because you're you're the person that knows this.
- 14:11SPEAKER_01: I'm just going by my what I think I know.
- 14:14SPEAKER_01: So it's that's basically tapping into your subconscious to to change those patterns of thoughts.
- 14:19SPEAKER_01: Yes?
- 14:20SPEAKER_01: Mm-hmm.
- 14:20SPEAKER_01: Okay, so talk about how what that looks like, if you will.
- 14:23SPEAKER_01: So even if you want to go into kind of what a session looks like.
- 14:28SPEAKER_02: Okay, so we will start with a relaxation piece and with a focus.
- 14:36SPEAKER_02: And you know, hypnosis is nothing more than focused energy.
- 14:43SPEAKER_02: Most of us drive down the street in a hypnotic state because we know where we're going and we're on autopilot.
- 14:49SPEAKER_02: So if you look at it that way, I mean, you can I can pass the same thing 50 times.
- 14:54SPEAKER_02: And when someone says, Well, you know where it is, and I'm like, then I have to uh tweak that as I'm just you know, or you know, you get going somewhere.
- 15:03SPEAKER_02: So yeah, so it's that's just a form of a hypnotic size, just focused energy.
- 15:08SPEAKER_02: And so what we want to do is focus on releasing some of the thought patterns that are currently holding you back and and then create a different scenario.
- 15:25SPEAKER_02: So, in that creation, then I send out recordings and then folks can listen to those several days in a row to look at those, or you can do several times a day if you wanted to, to get yourself into that place that you want to be in, and to you know, repetition is mother of all skills, so yeah.
- 15:51SPEAKER_02: So, and if that's what you really want, let's let's create that.
- 15:55SPEAKER_01: Yeah, so so I love that.
- 15:57SPEAKER_01: So basically you're getting in a relaxed state, and then you're working through basically a session to release and or input other thoughts.
- 16:06SPEAKER_01: Yes, yes, perfect.
- 16:08SPEAKER_01: So when you're doing that, you know what are some of the limiting beliefs that that really that keep people from living with purpose and intention.
- 16:19SPEAKER_02: Well, number one probably is I'm not worthy.
- 16:25SPEAKER_02: In every neurolinguistic programming course I've ever taken, and that has been the prevailing theme across all of them.
- 16:36SPEAKER_02: And that is always one of the sessions, one of the hypnosis sessions is addressing your worthiness.
- 16:46SPEAKER_02: You know, and of course, the number one fear of all people is rejection, and so we look at that as well.
- 16:55SPEAKER_02: Um, you know, hypnosis is used for a lot of different things, you know, smoking cessation and that kind of stuff, addictions, all that kind of stuff is a little bit different, but that still goes back to am I the person who can let go of this?
- 17:10SPEAKER_02: What am I attached to?
- 17:12SPEAKER_02: And and who do I become in order to let go?
- 17:17SPEAKER_01: So love that.
- 17:18SPEAKER_01: So when you're in a hypnosis or doing a hypnosis session, and I'm I'm just again, it's curiosity truly.
- 17:26SPEAKER_01: So because I've not really had a lot of conversations with somebody about this, but you know, we make decisions with humans beings based on pain and pleasure principle, right?
- 17:34SPEAKER_01: So do you use that during hypnosis session?
- 17:40SPEAKER_02: Yes, and all five senses.
- 17:43SPEAKER_02: So you know, we we can attach to something much easier if we have a one of our senses creates that emotion, is kind of like super glue on on things and on your on your brain.
- 17:57SPEAKER_02: It's like movement, emotion, all those kind of things.
- 18:02SPEAKER_02: So I you know, think back to a song like when I hear sweet Caroline, all I can do is remember driving out to the quarry to go skinny dinning.
- 18:14SPEAKER_02: Be careful, this is this is that was a long time ago in a lamb charm.
- 18:21SPEAKER_02: It's older, but you know, that just brings it back.
- 18:24SPEAKER_02: I'm in the car again, I'm on the country road again, you know, and like so that's one of the senses.
- 18:31SPEAKER_02: So you're gonna attach it and have someone go into a place where where the they're like a field of flowers and you're smelling things, or at the beach, that's people love the beach, and it depends on you know what your thing is.
- 18:48SPEAKER_02: My thing is more mountains.
- 18:50SPEAKER_02: Um, and so if I'm you know, either driving up the side of a mountain or sitting at the base and looking up a big creation of a mountain, so it's pulling in your senses and then adding a story to it.
- 19:04SPEAKER_01: Love it, love it.
- 19:05SPEAKER_01: And I think uh, you know, on that you're talking about, I I think you know, a lot of people, I know my wife does it all the time, is songs.
- 19:16SPEAKER_01: I mean, she is fantastic about oh, this was happening, you know, this year, I was this age.
- 19:21SPEAKER_01: I mean, just automatically music tends to be a a really great marker for for that kind of stuff, you know, just like you're saying, going to the quarry and you know, doing your thing.
- 19:35SPEAKER_01: Because it mattered and it it was such an impactful emotion, if you will.
- 19:40SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah, love it, absolutely love it.
- 19:43SPEAKER_02: It's like um when I smelled dill, I come I immediately go back to my first three months of pregnancy with my first son because my mother-in-law had gotten this batch of dill, and and I would get up and this smell, you know, that you know the first three months are rough.
- 20:04SPEAKER_02: Yeah, well, I don't know specifically, but yes, you you experienced it vicariously.
- 20:11SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 20:12SPEAKER_02: So I can immediately go back.
- 20:15SPEAKER_02: I'm I'm back in that kitchen and I'm smelling that dill, and I'm you know, yeah.
- 20:22SPEAKER_01: So so everybody, that's really how the subconscious works, right?
- 20:26SPEAKER_01: I mean, they're there, it's not even something you're thinking about, it just automatically brings up that thought or emotion or feeling for that matter, literally can make you nauseous.
- 20:34SPEAKER_01: I'm sure it probably does.
- 20:36SPEAKER_01: Yeah, just yeah.
- 20:38SPEAKER_01: So so how do subconscious patterns influence the way we lead, love, communicate, and make decisions?
- 20:46SPEAKER_02: Totally.
- 20:48SPEAKER_02: So all your subconscious patterns are your drivers.
- 20:54SPEAKER_02: They drive everything, you what you say, what you do, how you perceive an event, how you perceive other people.
- 21:05SPEAKER_02: All of that stuff is is all subconscious driven.
- 21:09SPEAKER_02: It it is your you know, the the mind is the center of your operating system.
- 21:15SPEAKER_01: Absolutely.
- 21:16SPEAKER_01: So so I we're we're getting, we're we're about five minutes left or so.
- 21:21SPEAKER_01: So I I do have one question that I think is really important because you know this podcast is always about showing the dark, tracking the light open, and then opening the light in the room so people know how to really move forward.
- 21:31SPEAKER_01: So my question for you is how can someone begin releasing the beliefs or patterns that no longer match the life they want to create?
- 21:40SPEAKER_02: Ah-ha.
- 21:43SPEAKER_02: Well, I'm gonna share some NLP stuff with you that beautiful.
- 21:48SPEAKER_02: Yeah, so the very first step is to notice.
- 21:53SPEAKER_02: Yes, awareness is the beginning, and so when you see something and notice the thought that comes up.
- 22:00SPEAKER_02: Most of us go through events and just keep, you know, okay.
- 22:06SPEAKER_02: But until you have an awareness of that thought, there's you can't figure out whether it's going to work for you or not.
- 22:14SPEAKER_02: The second thing is once you notice it, then you go, hmm.
- 22:19SPEAKER_02: Without judgment, is just talk about is that what I want to do?
- 22:24SPEAKER_02: Is that working for me?
- 22:25SPEAKER_02: Is that the truth?
- 22:26SPEAKER_02: Ask yourself those harder questions about that thought.
- 22:31SPEAKER_02: You know, she looked at me funny, she must not like me.
- 22:35SPEAKER_02: Is that the truth?
- 22:37SPEAKER_02: Um, is that what I want to be thinking?
- 22:41SPEAKER_01: And then can I add one thing to that?
- 22:44SPEAKER_01: Um, is when you ask yourself, is that true?
- 22:47SPEAKER_01: A lot of times you'll just automatically say, Yeah, it is.
- 22:51SPEAKER_01: Ask yourself what evidence you have that it's actually true.
- 22:55SPEAKER_02: Yeah, the second question with Byron Katie is is it absolutely true?
- 22:59SPEAKER_01: Yeah, there we go.
- 23:01SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 23:02SPEAKER_02: And that's usually the killer one.
- 23:04SPEAKER_01: Yeah, absolutely.
- 23:05SPEAKER_01: Okay, and and go ahead, please continue.
- 23:08SPEAKER_02: So then, you know, it's just about making a decision about whether is that what I want?
- 23:13SPEAKER_02: And and I usually go, hmm, interesting.
- 23:17SPEAKER_02: Because I don't want it to be judgmental, because it's not right or wrong, it just is.
- 23:22SPEAKER_02: And it's but is that how I want to, is that where I want my perceptions to lie?
- 23:27SPEAKER_02: Is that the source that I want?
- 23:32SPEAKER_02: Is that what God would have me do for others?
- 23:35SPEAKER_02: Is that in alignment with my calling and my purpose?
- 23:39SPEAKER_02: So I you know, I ask my quest myself those hard questions.
- 23:42SPEAKER_02: Well, to me, they're hard because they're not hard in the sense that they're hard to figure out, but hard in the sense that it requires me to dig deep and change, transform, and things like that.
- 23:59SPEAKER_02: And transformation is not a game for sissies, you know.
- 24:05SPEAKER_01: That is that is true, but at the same time, it's it's worth it, right?
- 24:09SPEAKER_01: I mean, I know where you are, I know where I am, and it's because of what we do, right?
- 24:14SPEAKER_01: So I think it's you know super important that just really kind of taking that action.
- 24:20SPEAKER_01: And I and I I want to sneak in one more question, and that's it's based on that, because again, we want to leave people with an action to take, right?
- 24:28SPEAKER_01: Because information is useless unless you actually use it.
- 24:31SPEAKER_01: So for people listening right now who want their life to mean something more, what is one step they can take today, literally after this podcast or during the podcast, take the action now kind of thing today to start living their legacy with intention.
- 24:49SPEAKER_02: So understanding that you have a purpose, that you're here for a reason, that your life matters, that you're worthy, just by pulling all those thoughts together and for me it's listening to the the spiritual voice, listening to what I'm called to do, not necessarily listening to other people because they may not have the same focus or bent that I do.
- 25:24SPEAKER_02: But yeah, so having your channels open to listen and receive.
- 25:30SPEAKER_01: Beautiful.
- 25:31SPEAKER_01: So so just take that minute to to really open up and just and that's the action to take today, even if it's only for five minutes or all day, your choice obviously, but just take that action just to start.
- 25:46SPEAKER_01: And then, of course, things you notice you can write down.
- 25:48SPEAKER_01: You know, you can you can make notes, you can uh so you can look at them later, all kinds of good stuff.
- 25:54SPEAKER_01: So you can take what another action later.
- 25:57SPEAKER_01: So Nancy, for the people listening who feel connected to your message, what's the best way for them to learn more about your work, follow you, you know, book you, or just support what you're building?
- 26:09SPEAKER_02: So the best way to contact me and and book me in or anything like that would be my email, crossroadscoaching11 at gmail.com.
- 26:20SPEAKER_02: I do have a Maxwell replicated website, so it's johncmaxwellgroup.com backslash nancy Jones.
- 26:32SPEAKER_01: Absolutely.
- 26:32SPEAKER_01: So as we know, time is the most precious resource that we have as human beings.
- 26:36SPEAKER_01: We don't get it back.
- 26:38SPEAKER_01: So, Nancy, I want to thank you for spending this moment in time to help our mission and really make a difference.
- 26:44SPEAKER_02: Thanks for having me.
- 26:46SPEAKER_02: I hope it's been helpful for someone and that someone's found some value in our conversation today.
- 26:51SPEAKER_01: I I guarantee there's golden nuggets in there and they will find value.
- 26:55SPEAKER_01: I I found value in it.
- 26:56SPEAKER_01: So even if nothing else I did, but but but the ripple effect will happen for sure.
- 27:02SPEAKER_01: Um, if something in today's conversation resonated with you, don't just move on to the next thing.
- 27:07SPEAKER_01: Again, take that action we just talked about, you know, sit with it for a minute.
- 27:10SPEAKER_01: And why did this affect me?
- 27:12SPEAKER_01: Why did I feel called to this?
