Pamela, or Virtue Rewarded Volume 1 Letter 20
In which Pamela finds herself the grateful recipient of her master’s sincere and generous affection, her heart swelling with humble joy and a sense of elevated prospects, as they converse tenderly of impending nuptials and the delicate preparations thereof. She recounts with thankfulness the overcoming of past trials, the reconciliation with those once opposed, and the hopeful anticipation of a future marked by honour, humility, and the gracious favour of Providence.
