  Speaker 1: book of John. This is a very rich book. This
• 4:31
  Speaker 1: book is to help those who are seeking. Yes, you
• 4:34
  Speaker 1: can call it a seeking friendly book, right. This is
• 4:39
  Speaker 1: a book that will help us believe that Jesus is
• 4:45
  Speaker 1: the Messiah. John tells us the reason why he wrote
• 4:49
  Speaker 1: this book. He wrote this book so that we can
• 4:51
  Speaker 1: believe that he is the Messiah. So we're going to
• 4:54
  Speaker 1: see a lot of proof. He's going to do a
• 4:58
  Speaker 1: lot of many wonderful work. There's gonna be a lot
• 5:02
  Speaker 1: of things that are gonna take place as we go
• 5:05
  Speaker 1: through this book. Chapter two, you can say it's like
• 5:08
  Speaker 1: his coming out in public party. He's been behind his scenes,
• 5:15
  Speaker 1: he's been building his crew, he's been selecting disciples, he's
• 5:19
  Speaker 1: been he's been preparing, and so he's gonna, I guess
• 5:24
  Speaker 1: you could say, begin to come out in public with
• 5:27
  Speaker 1: his ministry. So we're gonna look at that. We're gonna
• 5:30
  Speaker 1: look at his mother Mary. She's finally introduced into this, uh,
• 5:36
  Speaker 1: this gospel in this chapter. Uh. Some of the other
• 5:40
  Speaker 1: chapters start with her, you know, the story of Christmas,
• 5:46
  Speaker 1: the Macmraculate Conception, all that. But this book is a
• 5:52
  Speaker 1: little different. It starts with the beginning and she comes
• 5:56
  Speaker 1: on the scene here in chapter two, and let's get
• 6:02
  Speaker 1: into it and let's begin to break it all down.

  Speaker 1: So it's going to start in verse one and two.

  Speaker 1: On the third day, there was a wedding in Cana
• 6:17
  Speaker 1: of Galley and the mother of Jesus was there. Now,
• 6:22
  Speaker 1: both Jesus and his disciples were invited to the wedding,
• 6:30
  Speaker 1: all right, so this is pretty cool. It's pretty cool
• 6:37
  Speaker 1: that Jesus would go to this wedding. Weddings in those
• 6:41
  Speaker 1: days it would last for like a whole week. It
• 6:47
  Speaker 1: was a great festive celebration. They would feast and they
• 6:53
  Speaker 1: would celebrate these weddings. Now for Jesus to show up

  Speaker 1: and be there, it shows that, for one, his blessings
• 7:06
  Speaker 1: were upon this marriage, and it tells us that he
• 7:13
  Speaker 1: is not distant from our daily lives. He is right
• 7:20
  Speaker 1: here with us celebrating. I just imagine the last wedding
• 7:25
  Speaker 1: you've attended, and maybe even your own wedding, Jesus is
• 7:30
  Speaker 1: there in the midst celebrating this occasion. I love this
• 7:37
  Speaker 1: because it shows that Jesus wasn't too holy to attend
• 7:42
  Speaker 1: a normal life event, you know what I mean, Like
• 7:46
  Speaker 1: he was present where joy and love were Like. As believers,
• 7:52
  Speaker 1: we should be present in the lives of the people
• 7:56
  Speaker 1: around us, and we need to bring Jesus with us
• 8:00
  Speaker 1: wherever we go. I mean, think about that. We have
• 8:05
  Speaker 1: the privilege, we have the honor to bring Jesus with
• 8:12
  Speaker 1: us wherever we go. That just hit me right here
• 8:17
  Speaker 1: and right now. It's like whenever we're invited to something
• 8:21
  Speaker 1: or invited to go somewhere, Jesus is living on the
• 8:26
  Speaker 1: inside of us, and we bring his presence with us
• 8:33
  Speaker 1: wherever we go. Amen, all right, let's hit verse three.

  Speaker 1: It says, and when they ran out of wine, the
• 8:46
  Speaker 1: mother of Jesus said to him, they have no wine. Now,
• 8:52
  Speaker 1: as I said, this is the introduction of the mother
• 8:58
  Speaker 1: of Jesus, Mother Mary, and I want to spend a
• 9:01
  Speaker 1: little time talking about this blessed woman. I think it's
• 9:07
  Speaker 1: a little tragic that our Catholic brothers and sisters decided
• 9:16
  Speaker 1: to lift her up to deity. I believe that they
• 9:22
  Speaker 1: worship her. I believe that they elevated her to a
• 9:27
  Speaker 1: place that she was never intended to d and that
• 9:32
  Speaker 1: we can read right here in this story how Jesus
• 9:35
  Speaker 1: reacts to her and throughout the Gospels. When he was
• 9:39
  Speaker 1: twelve years old, the family traveled to Jerusalem, and they
• 9:46
  Speaker 1: lost them, and they couldn't find them, and they went back,
• 9:50
  Speaker 1: and his response to her was, you know, do you
• 9:53
  Speaker 1: not know that I should be about my father's business? Right?
• 9:57
  Speaker 1: Of course, she was concerned, you know, for her son
• 10:00
  Speaker 1: to take care of him. And it wasn't that Jesus
• 10:04
  Speaker 1: was being disrespectful at all towards his mother. He submitted
• 10:09
  Speaker 1: to her. And also you see another time in the
• 10:14
  Speaker 1: life of his mother where Jesus was teaching and his
• 10:20
  Speaker 1: ministry was so great to where the crowds would gather
• 10:24
  Speaker 1: and he wouldn't even have time to eat or rest.
• 10:27
  Speaker 1: He was just constantly ministering to the people. So of
• 10:32
  Speaker 1: course his mother, as a mother would and should, got concerned.
• 10:37
  Speaker 1: So she went basically to go rescue him from the crowd,
• 10:40
  Speaker 1: and so she couldn't really get through the crowd, but
• 10:43
  Speaker 1: she sent a message to him to say, your mother
• 10:46
  Speaker 1: and brothers are here for you, and Jesus. His response is,
• 10:51
  Speaker 1: my mother and my brothers. Who is my mother? Who
• 10:54
  Speaker 1: is my brothers? My mother and my brothers are those
• 10:59
  Speaker 1: who do the will of the Father. Amen. And then
• 11:05
  Speaker 1: we're gonna see his response here as as his mother
• 11:11
  Speaker 1: comes to him. Now they ran out of wine. Now
• 11:16
  Speaker 1: that was a major embarrassment in Jewish Jewish culture. See
• 11:21
  Speaker 1: Mary knowing who Jesus was, looked to him for help. Now,
• 11:27
  Speaker 1: sometimes when life runs out on us, when we're empty.
• 11:34
  Speaker 1: We need to go straight to Jesus, just like she did. Now,
• 11:39
  Speaker 1: notice Mary didn't run to the stores, she didn't run
• 11:43
  Speaker 1: anywhere else. She went to her son, the son of God.
• 11:49
  Speaker 1: Jesus knew I mean Mary knew his true identity. She
• 11:54
  Speaker 1: knew that she could go to him, right, And this
• 11:58
  Speaker 1: is almost in a way saying, hey, it's time for
• 12:02
  Speaker 1: you to be public. It's time for you to show
• 12:05
  Speaker 1: what you can do. Like she knew something about him
• 12:10
  Speaker 1: in order to go I mean, it's almost like if
• 12:14
  Speaker 1: I go to a picnic with my church and we
• 12:20
  Speaker 1: run out of juice, Like what would make me go
• 12:26
  Speaker 1: to my daughter our money and say, hey, they ran
• 12:29
  Speaker 1: out of juice. Either she's got money to buy more,
• 12:34
  Speaker 1: or she's got the ability to do something about it,
• 12:38
  Speaker 1: or she can do mirac she has miracle working power
• 12:44
  Speaker 1: and make juice just appear. So Mary knew something about Jesus.
• 12:50
  Speaker 1: A lot of people didn't know. And so it could
• 12:54
  Speaker 1: be her saying, hey, it's time to go public with
• 12:57
  Speaker 1: your abilities. Now, Like I said, that's just my opinion.

  Speaker 1: But let's get to the word. All right, we're gonna
• 13:09
  Speaker 1: go where we're gonna go. Four and five follow me.
• 13:13
  Speaker 1: Four and five, Jesus said to her, woman, what does
• 13:17
  Speaker 1: your concern have to do with me? My hour has
• 13:22
  Speaker 1: not yet come? So this is loaded. This is loaded.

  Speaker 1: Their discussion is not that he doesn't have the ability
• 13:31
  Speaker 1: to do anything. He's just saying that his hour has
• 13:34
  Speaker 1: not yet come. Whereas five his mother said to the servants,
• 13:40
  Speaker 1: whatever he says to you, do it. Amen, whatever he
• 13:47
  Speaker 1: says to you, do it now. Jesus wasn't being disrespectful
• 13:53
  Speaker 1: by using the term woman right. Woman was a formal
• 13:58
  Speaker 1: way of addressing her, But he was reminding her that
• 14:03
  Speaker 1: his mission was on God's tiny not human tining right now.

  Speaker 1: Mary's response right here is amazing. She said to him,
• 14:16
  Speaker 1: whatever he says to you, do it. That's the secret
• 14:21
  Speaker 1: of the Christian life right there. Obedience simple but powerful.
• 14:30
  Speaker 1: Let me say that again. That is the secret to
• 14:34
  Speaker 1: the Christian life. It's our obedience to him. It's simple,
• 14:39
  Speaker 1: but our obedience is powerful. The gates of hell cannot
• 14:46
  Speaker 1: do anything with an obedient Christian. Amen. They hate obedient Christians.

  Speaker 1: Those who actually discipline and purpose in their lives. They
• 15:02
  Speaker 1: should be followers of Christ. All right. Six through a
• 15:08
  Speaker 1: Now there were set Now there were set there are
• 15:14
  Speaker 1: six water pots of stone according to the manner of
• 15:19
  Speaker 1: Purification of the Jews, detaining twenty or twenty gallons of peace.
• 15:27
  Speaker 1: Jesus said to them fill the pots with water, and
• 15:33
  Speaker 1: they filled them up to the brim. And Jesus said
• 15:39
  Speaker 1: to them, draw some out now and take it to
• 15:43
  Speaker 1: the Master of the feast. And they took it. Wow,
• 15:49
  Speaker 1: now this is just straight amazing. Hey man. Now, the
• 15:57
  Speaker 1: servants that he spoke to, they had to act out
• 16:02
  Speaker 1: of faith. They knew that this was water, they knew
• 16:05
  Speaker 1: what it was, but they filled the pots with water.
• 16:16
  Speaker 1: Now wine was needed, so it's like, okay, this doesn't
• 16:24
  Speaker 1: make sense, Like why would we fill the pots up
• 16:27
  Speaker 1: with water, but we know that we need wine at
• 16:33
  Speaker 1: this party. Obedience brings miracles. They obeyed the voice. They
• 16:41
  Speaker 1: could have said, no, we're not getting water, we need
• 16:44
  Speaker 1: to go to the store, but no, they chose to
• 16:48
  Speaker 1: be obedient and they filled it up. Now, sometimes God
• 16:53
  Speaker 1: will ask us to do what doesn't make sense. We
• 17:00
  Speaker 1: just obey and we just have faith. That's when transformation happens.
• 17:09
  Speaker 1: All he wants is our obedience, and he just wants
• 17:12
  Speaker 1: us to have faith. Hey man, all right, let's go
• 17:20
  Speaker 1: nine to ten first nine, when the master of the
• 17:28
  Speaker 1: feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and
• 17:33
  Speaker 1: did not know where it came from. But the servants
• 17:37
  Speaker 1: who drew the water new. The master of the feast
• 17:41
  Speaker 1: called the bridegroom, and he said to him, every man
• 17:45
  Speaker 1: at the beginning says out a good wine, And when
• 17:49
  Speaker 1: the guests have well drunk, then the inferior you have
• 17:54
  Speaker 1: kept the good wine until now. Wow. Okay, well, let's
• 18:08
  Speaker 1: break this down some more. Now the finest wine that
• 18:15
  Speaker 1: was ever created. Right, Jesus never does anything halfway. The
• 18:22
  Speaker 1: old life fades away, but the new life he gives
• 18:27
  Speaker 1: is way better. Now. The world gives you the best first,
• 18:34
  Speaker 1: then leaves you with nothing. Jesus saves the best for
• 18:40
  Speaker 1: last eternal life, joy and peace. Don't settle for what
• 18:45
  Speaker 1: the world offers. Don't just settle because it's gonna fade away.
• 18:55
  Speaker 1: The world is gonna try to tell you live your
• 18:57
  Speaker 1: best life now, yolo, right, they tell you that your
• 19:02
  Speaker 1: youth is the best time of your life. It's all over.
• 19:07
  Speaker 1: When you over the hill, you get old and die,
• 19:09
  Speaker 1: and there's nothing left for you. But in the Kingdom
• 19:13
  Speaker 1: of God, that is only the beginning. The best is
• 19:17
  Speaker 1: the end of the matter, then the beginning of a matter. Amen,

  Speaker 1: I choose the kingdom. All right, let's look at verse eleven.

  Speaker 1: Here it looks like you lost another one. Now the
• 19:37
  Speaker 1: beginning of the signs Jesus did in Kingda of Galilee
• 19:43
  Speaker 1: and manifested his glory and his disciples believed in him. Amen.

  Speaker 1: Now I'll check it out. This is the first miracle
• 20:00
  Speaker 1: that reveals his glory. It strengthened his disciples faith. Miracles
• 20:11
  Speaker 1: aren't just about solving problems in our lives. They are
• 20:17
  Speaker 1: about revealing who Jesus truly is. When God moves in
• 20:22
  Speaker 1: our life, it should deepen our faith. And I have
• 20:29
  Speaker 1: to give a hallelujah right here to give God praise
• 20:33
  Speaker 1: because I think of the multiple miracles situations that I
• 20:39
  Speaker 1: know I was not able to get out of if
• 20:43
  Speaker 1: it wasn't for God intervening in my life. Hey man, hallelujah,
• 20:51
  Speaker 1: and not owe him the praise and the adoration for that.
• 20:57
  Speaker 1: This is amazing. Here, Now what I want to get
• 21:03
  Speaker 1: out of this, This is the beginning of the signs
• 21:07
  Speaker 1: Jesus did. Remember, God is going to judge us by
• 21:17
  Speaker 1: our works. Our works are the proof of what we
• 21:24
  Speaker 1: profess what we say. We can say we believe, we
• 21:27
  Speaker 1: can say we're Christians, But do you have the works
• 21:32
  Speaker 1: that follow.

• 21:35
  Speaker 1: And I'm thinking again about the narrow world, the narrow
• 21:39
  Speaker 1: path that is difficult, and few find it. Right, God
• 21:44
  Speaker 1: just touching me with that the other day, And as
• 21:48
  Speaker 1: I think about it, what makes the narrow path so difficult?
• 21:54
  Speaker 1: It's a path where we must resist temptation, is a
• 21:59
  Speaker 1: path where we must developed discipline and commitment. We have
• 22:03
  Speaker 1: to be intentional to walk down that path. The path
• 22:07
  Speaker 1: of destruction is easy. It's lack of discipline. You don't
• 22:10
  Speaker 1: need to be disciplined. You can be lazy, do what
• 22:13
  Speaker 1: you want, go where you want, sleep, eat, do whatever
• 22:17
  Speaker 1: you want. There's no discipline to that life. You can
• 22:21
  Speaker 1: enjoy every bit of temptation. You can indulge yourself on
• 22:25
  Speaker 1: everything the world has to offer. There's no restraint, no nothing.
• 22:30
  Speaker 1: And so that should be an indication of what path
• 22:34
  Speaker 1: we're walking down, heymen, And I pray that we all
• 22:39
  Speaker 1: walk down this narrow path. But speaking about these works,
• 22:44
  Speaker 1: the signs that follow Christ, he used his very works
• 22:52
  Speaker 1: to prove his that he's authentic. What word am I
• 22:58
  Speaker 1: trying to say? Authentic. See, I don't know that's the
• 23:01
  Speaker 1: correct way. Let me know in live chat. But to

  Speaker 1: prove that he is the Messiah, he said, look at
• 23:07
  Speaker 1: the very works that I do right, And his works
• 23:12
  Speaker 1: spoke a lot, his miracles spoke a light, a lot
• 23:16
  Speaker 1: of God's witness, and the autensive a tenthesy of his ministry.

  Speaker 1: But I want to take it one step further. The
• 23:27
  Speaker 1: word the God tells us that angels are keeping record
• 23:32
  Speaker 1: every work, every look, every glance, every thought, every action,
• 23:36
  Speaker 1: and every word that we speak is written down in books.

  Speaker 1: And so our works we will be a judge according
• 23:45
  Speaker 1: to our works as well. And so my suggestion is
• 23:51
  Speaker 1: to allow Jesus to work his works through and in
• 23:56
  Speaker 1: our lives, that our lives will match up with his,
• 24:00
  Speaker 1: because he is the way, the truth in the life.

  Speaker 1: These are the beginning of his signs and the works
• 24:10
  Speaker 1: that He's gonna bless us to be able to do
• 24:13
  Speaker 1: the same works as he's done. A man, hallelujah. All right,

  Speaker 1: let's go to verse twelve. They're gonna take it all
• 24:30
  Speaker 1: the way through. So after this he went down to Capernaum,
• 24:36
  Speaker 1: he his mother, his brothers, and his disciples, and they
• 24:40
  Speaker 1: did not stay there many days. Now the passover of
• 24:46
  Speaker 1: the Jews was at hand, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem,
• 24:51
  Speaker 1: and he found in the temple those who sold oxen
• 24:56
  Speaker 1: in sheep and doves, and the money changeers doing business.

  Speaker 1: When he had made a whip of cords, he drove
• 25:06
  Speaker 1: them out of the temple with the sheep and the oxen,
• 25:11
  Speaker 1: and poured out the changer's money and overturned the tables.

  Speaker 1: And he said, to those who soul does take these

  Speaker 1: things away, do not make my father's house a house

  Speaker 1: of merchandise. Then his disciples remembered that it was written

  Speaker 1: zeal for your house has eaten me up and man.

  Speaker 1: So the Jews answered and said to him, what sign

  Speaker 1: do you show us, since you do these things. Jesus

  Speaker 1: answered and said to them, destroy this temple, and in

  Speaker 1: three days I will raise it up. And the Jews said,
• 25:55
  Speaker 1: it has taken forty six years to build this temple,
• 26:00
  Speaker 1: and will you raise it up in three days? But

  Speaker 1: he was speaking of the temple of his body. Therefore,
• 26:11
  Speaker 1: when he had risen from the dead, his disciples remembered
• 26:15
  Speaker 1: that he had said this to them, and they, believing
• 26:20
  Speaker 1: the scripture and the word which Jesus had said. Now,
• 26:26
  Speaker 1: when we saw in Jerusalem the Passover during the feast,
• 26:33
  Speaker 1: many believed. Excuse me. Now, when he was in Jerusalem
• 26:37
  Speaker 1: at the past over during the feast, many believed in
• 26:41
  Speaker 1: his name when they saw the signs which he did.
• 26:47
  Speaker 1: So Jesus did many signs after that first one. Jesus
• 26:51
  Speaker 1: did not commit himself to them, because he knew all
• 26:55
  Speaker 1: men and had no need that anyone should testify of men,
• 27:01
  Speaker 1: for he knew what was in man. Wow, that was
• 27:08
  Speaker 1: a lot right there. So let's begin to break it down. Now,

  Speaker 1: Jesus goes to Capernaum with his family and disciples. Now
• 27:21
  Speaker 1: at the Passover, he cleans the temple, driving out the
