- 0:02Speaker 1: This is am I the problem.
- 0:05Speaker 2: It's me.
- 0:06Speaker 3: HI on the problem.
- 0:09Speaker 4: It's me.
- 0:10Speaker 1: We'll hear one side of the story and with your
- 0:12Speaker 1: help probably decide if it's right or if maybe you're
- 0:17Speaker 1: the problem.
- 0:18Speaker 4: That's right, I am the problem. On Big ninety eight point.
- 0:21Speaker 2: Seven, Jennifer wrote into us about her husband. It's short
- 0:26Speaker 2: and sweet and I think hilarious. My husband doesn't let
- 0:30Speaker 2: She doesn't even say hi to us. My husband doesn't
- 0:32Speaker 2: lift the toilet seat. It's not okay that he peees
- 0:35Speaker 2: on the toilet seat. It's not okay for the rest
- 0:38Speaker 2: of his life to not lift the toilet seat. I've
- 0:41Speaker 2: never met any man in my life who does this.
- 0:44Speaker 2: I wouldn't even care if he left it up. I
- 0:47Speaker 2: don't want pee on the seat. I don't want to
- 0:49Speaker 2: sit on that. He says sorry every time but doesn't
- 0:52Speaker 2: change the behavior. I know I'm not the problem, but
- 0:55Speaker 2: I want you guys to tell him he is. Sounds
- 0:58Speaker 2: he had so many exclamation points. That is why I.
- 1:01Speaker 4: Look like yelling.
- 1:02Speaker 5: It sounds like she wrote this email as she just
- 1:04Speaker 5: sat right said toilet seat.
- 1:06Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:07Speaker 3: Now I know she said that she knows she's not
- 1:11Speaker 3: the problem.
- 1:11Speaker 4: Because obviously his fault.
- 1:13Speaker 2: Jennifer, I'm gonna do something.
- 1:17Speaker 3: I don't think you're gonna like. I think you're the problem.
- 1:20Speaker 2: Really, I think Jennifer is the problem because she said
- 1:26Speaker 2: that she wouldn't even care if he left it up.
- 1:29Speaker 2: And I know that is a lie. That is a
- 1:32Speaker 2: lie if I ever saw one, because I've sat inside
- 1:39Speaker 2: the toilet bowl in the cold water in the middle
- 1:45Speaker 2: of the night because the toilet seat was left up.
- 1:48Speaker 2: So if you're mad about just sitting on a few droplets,
- 1:52Speaker 2: my babe, you're gonna be real mad when you go
- 1:56Speaker 2: and you're groggy, and it's two in the morning, and
- 1:59Speaker 2: you stumble into the bathroom and you go to sit
- 2:02Speaker 2: down and instead of just feeling a little wet spot,
- 2:05Speaker 2: you feel a splash. Yeah, and you're inside the toilet bowl. Jennifer,
- 2:11Speaker 2: I feel like you need some more adversity in your life.
- 2:14Speaker 2: If this is what is stressing you out, I mean,
- 2:17Speaker 2: the comparison of what is going to get on her,
- 2:22Speaker 2: it's there's no match. You should be glad that it's
- 2:25Speaker 2: just a few droplets on the seat and not that
- 2:27Speaker 2: you're falling into the bowl.
- 2:28Speaker 5: Seven oh one two eight zero one nine eight seven.
- 2:31Speaker 5: What do you think who is the problem?
- 2:33Speaker 2: Uh?
- 2:34Speaker 5: Send us a text, give us a call. We want
- 2:35Speaker 5: to hear your thoughts this morning. On Big ninety eight
- 2:38Speaker 5: point seven, The.
- 2:44Speaker 2: Problem, Jennifer wants us to tell her husband that he
- 2:48Speaker 2: is the problem, asking now that he's the problem for
- 2:53Speaker 2: never lifting the toilet seat when he uses the bathroom.
- 2:56Speaker 2: She would even rather he leave the toilet seat up.
- 2:59Speaker 2: She's tired of him splashing on the seat. So is
- 3:03Speaker 2: she the problem or is he the problem? I went
- 3:05Speaker 2: the opposite way of what she thinks. I said she's
- 3:08Speaker 2: the problem because it's much worse for the toilet seat
- 3:11Speaker 2: to be left up.
- 3:13Speaker 5: Now, I'm gonna let this person remain anonymous. They didn't
- 3:16Speaker 5: ask to, but I'm gonna go ahead and do that
- 3:18Speaker 5: for them. She said, this is my son to a
- 3:21Speaker 5: t he's nine. I'm getting really tired of sitting and
- 3:24Speaker 5: pee when I miss seeing it. If I see the
- 3:27Speaker 5: seats up, sometimes I miss it. It's on the seat.
- 3:30Speaker 5: This guy is the problem. He's a grown man. Wipe
- 3:33Speaker 5: the seat off if you're not going to lift it up.
- 3:35Speaker 5: And that is something for the dudes out there, you know,
- 3:39Speaker 5: if you get lazy and don't put the lid up,
- 3:41Speaker 5: which is so so wild to me because it takes
- 3:45Speaker 5: all of half a second round effort at least wipe
- 3:47Speaker 5: it off. I mean, you know, okay, speaking as the
- 3:51Speaker 5: sole gentleman in this room, I know, dang well, if
- 3:57Speaker 5: there's a little miss there, right, okay, well.
- 4:00Speaker 4: Clean it up, clean up after yourself.
- 4:02Speaker 3: If worst comes to worst.
- 4:03Speaker 2: Jennifer Bonnie had an excellent idea cover the seat with
- 4:08Speaker 2: plastic wrap for his next trip to the bathroom and
- 4:10Speaker 2: let it splash back at it him, back at him.
- 4:13Speaker 3: Maybe he will get the message.
- 4:16Speaker 4: Be so gross and then it's all over your feet.
- 4:18Speaker 4: Yung yep.
- 4:22Speaker 1: Celebrating life's little victories victory every morning we practice gratitude
- 4:27Speaker 1: on Big ninety eight point seven.
- 4:29Speaker 4: If I could, I would keep this feeling in a
- 4:31Speaker 4: blasting job, bust it out when it was someone's acting hard.
- 4:35Speaker 1: I just really needed to win, you know, sure your
- 4:37Speaker 1: little victories with us at seven oh one two seven.
- 4:41Speaker 5: And I do want to give a big shout out
- 4:43Speaker 5: to Melissa this morning, who let us know about her
- 4:45Speaker 5: little victory. Melissa said, this is the first year our
- 4:49Speaker 5: family has made plans for the holidays and not argued
- 4:53Speaker 5: about where we're going that's magical. That's magical, literally sets
- 4:58Speaker 5: the tone for all of your holidays. Yes, so good
- 5:01Speaker 5: for you. We hope you all your travel plans go well.
- 5:03Speaker 5: And thank you so much for letting us know about
- 5:06Speaker 5: your little victory this morning. Angie, do you have a
- 5:09Speaker 5: little victory, just even something tiny? You're really happy?
- 5:11Speaker 2: Oh?
- 5:11Speaker 3: I sure do.
- 5:12Speaker 2: So. I am a Christmas fanatic and I ordered matching
- 5:18Speaker 2: Christmas onesies for myself and Mikey And the fact that
- 5:22Speaker 2: he even agreed to that is amazing. But they sent
- 5:26Speaker 2: me an email saying, oh, sorry, there was a delay.
- 5:29Speaker 2: They're not going to get here until next Friday.
- 5:32Speaker 3: But then, just.
- 5:33Speaker 2: Kidding, I got home from work and there was the
- 5:35Speaker 2: package on my doorstep, the matching Christmas onesies.
- 5:39Speaker 3: Who I'm so excited.
- 5:41Speaker 5: When you get something in the mail that says, hey,
- 5:44Speaker 5: it's going to be delayed, and then it's in your
- 5:46Speaker 5: brain that way, I don't get this for a while.
- 5:48Speaker 4: Yeah, and it shows up early.
- 5:50Speaker 5: It's almost like it's early Christmas, almost like Santa Claus
- 5:54Speaker 5: was just testing you a little bit.
- 5:55Speaker 3: Yes, so I'm very happy.
- 5:57Speaker 2: We're gonna throw on our matching onesies today and we're
- 6:00Speaker 2: gonna decorate Christmas cookies.
- 6:02Speaker 3: That's the activity for the evening.
- 6:04Speaker 5: My little victory, very very minor today, but I am
- 6:07Speaker 5: excited to see the flannels on our social media today
- 6:11Speaker 5: with Big ninety eight point seven. Earlier this week, Angie
- 6:15Speaker 5: was nice enough to dub me the sexiest man on
- 6:19Speaker 5: Big ninety eight point seven morning show, sort of by default,
- 6:22Speaker 5: and it was very funny to see some of the
- 6:25Speaker 5: comments in there about you know what, no flannel, no sexy,
- 6:29Speaker 5: I don't make the rules, Tracy. That was awesome and
- 6:31Speaker 5: it made me laugh really hard. So that means I
- 6:34Speaker 5: think Tracy is up on flannel Friday. I think we're
- 6:36Speaker 5: gonna see it today.
- 6:37Speaker 3: I hope.
- 6:38Speaker 2: So we are gonna take our weekly Flannel Friday picture
- 6:41Speaker 2: because I didn't forget. I'm in my flannel too, So
- 6:44Speaker 2: we're gonna put that on the Big ninety eight point
- 6:46Speaker 2: seven Facebook page. If you're rocking flannel today, take a
- 6:49Speaker 2: picture and drop it in the comments we want to see.
- 6:52Speaker 5: I mean, it doesn't get much better than today, Yeah Friday,
- 6:56Speaker 5: Big ninety eight Golden Bachelor Jerry Turner he denies ever
- 7:06Speaker 5: flirting with Chris Jenner.
- 7:09Speaker 4: All right, the Internet, of course, what's up in arms?
- 7:14Speaker 5: Yeah, over this guy potentially flirting with Chris Jenner, but
- 7:17Speaker 5: he says, no, no, no, we were simply bonding over
- 7:23Speaker 5: hip replacements and hearing age. Isn't it crazy how you
- 7:28Speaker 5: flirt when you're sixty?
- 7:31Speaker 2: Yeah, that's I mean, that makes sense they would bond over.
- 7:35Speaker 3: I can't imagine that they have anything else in common.
- 7:37Speaker 4: Actually, yeah, exactly.
- 7:39Speaker 5: And this led me to think, you know, is there
- 7:42Speaker 5: any is there anything you and your partner bonded over
- 7:46Speaker 5: that you know, might seem a little bit different, maybe
- 7:48Speaker 5: a little weird. Maybe you're both really into dungeons and dragons.
- 7:52Speaker 2: I feel like that that's the only way those people
- 7:55Speaker 2: can be to find partners.
- 7:57Speaker 3: That's so rude. God, I didn't mean it like that.
- 8:00Speaker 5: Is there anything you and your partner bought it over
- 8:02Speaker 5: that you know, maybe it's a little different, let us
- 8:04Speaker 5: know seven oh one two eight zero one nine eight seven.
- 8:07Speaker 5: Maybe you're both really into Nascar or something, just something
- 8:11Speaker 5: that maybe here in the Midwest it's not incredibly common.
- 8:15Speaker 4: I don't have a great answer.
- 8:17Speaker 5: Mine is very very boring and something that basically every
- 8:21Speaker 5: couple does.
- 8:22Speaker 2: But what is it?
- 8:23Speaker 3: Well, now I want to know.
- 8:24Speaker 5: Even if it's boring, In the last year, Corey and
- 8:27Speaker 5: I have gone to a lot of just state parks
- 8:29Speaker 5: and hiked around and did the old nature thing.
- 8:31Speaker 4: So very well, that's good.
- 8:32Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean it's fun, it's great for us to do,
- 8:34Speaker 5: but it's like very boring. How many couples take pictures
- 8:37Speaker 5: of whatever state park and throw it on their Instagram.
- 8:40Speaker 4: You know.
- 8:40Speaker 2: In the early days of Mikey and I dating, you know,
- 8:44Speaker 2: you're trying to get to know each other and find
- 8:46Speaker 2: out likes and dislikes and what kind of shows you're into.
- 8:50Speaker 2: And he's very much a history buff. He likes watching documentaries.
- 8:54Speaker 2: I watch a lot of trashy reality TV. But there
- 8:57Speaker 2: was one show both bonded on and it was ru
- 9:02Speaker 2: Paul's Drag Race. Well sure, yeah, I was so pleasantly
- 9:07Speaker 2: surprised that someone who's always watching like the History Channel
- 9:11Speaker 2: was like that, I have to see Trixy Mattel.
- 9:15Speaker 3: On the runway. So yeah, RuPaul's Drag Race.
- 9:18Speaker 2: Really, I mean for me, that was like, Okay, I
- 9:20Speaker 2: guess we're gonna be together.
- 9:21Speaker 4: Now, Sam, what a junior partner bond over.
- 9:25Speaker 1: My wife and I are just nuts about trivia.
- 9:27Speaker 2: We go to every local contest we can find and
- 9:30Speaker 2: we just totally dominate. It's like our thing.
- 9:33Speaker 3: We actually met at a trivia night in town.
- 9:35Speaker 2: That's very Yeah, that makes sense. Imagine they both love trivia,
- 9:38Speaker 2: but they're just bad. They're just always losing.
- 9:41Speaker 5: Oh my gosh, if you ever need two extra partners
- 9:45Speaker 5: on your trivia team, I will let you know right now.
- 9:48Speaker 5: Do not call me or my wife. We have got
- 9:50Speaker 5: to be the world's worst trivia players. Yeah, maybe of
- 9:56Speaker 5: all time. I feel like trivia is something you and
- 9:58Speaker 5: Mikey would probably be pretty good at.
- 10:00Speaker 4: You guys know a lot of I don't know stuff.
- 10:02Speaker 2: Right before I moved here, I won a trivia night
- 10:06Speaker 2: that was like my Phiandelphia.
- 10:08Speaker 5: Yeah, there is one shining moment of trivia I've had,
- 10:12Speaker 5: and it was knowing who Bo Diddley was the guitar player.
- 10:15Speaker 5: And a lot of people are going, who's that? Uh, Tia,
- 10:17Speaker 5: what about you?
- 10:18Speaker 4: Did you? What did you and your partner bond over?
- 10:22Speaker 1: Katie?
- 10:22Speaker 2: We started watching Love Is Blind as a joke, but
- 10:25Speaker 2: now we have wine and snacks and actual debate about
- 10:28Speaker 2: who's the bigger red flag every night.
- 10:31Speaker 4: It's our weird little ritual.
- 10:32Speaker 5: That's kind of wonderful because my wife would really like
- 10:35Speaker 5: your husband a nice morning to grab yourself an espresso.
- 10:44Speaker 5: All right, And Angie did this yesterday and they got
- 10:46Speaker 5: the Starbucks cups out.
- 10:48Speaker 2: The holiday cups are out. I posted a picture of
- 10:52Speaker 2: mine on the big ninety eight points I'm in Facebook
- 10:54Speaker 2: page and I was like, hey, drop your pictures of
- 10:56Speaker 2: your holiday cups.
- 10:57Speaker 3: I will tell you this. I think I got the worst.
- 11:00Speaker 4: Design, Angie.
- 11:01Speaker 5: I was looking through the photos that everyone posted yesterday.
- 11:04Speaker 5: A lot of people excited about their Starbucks cups, which
- 11:07Speaker 5: thank you for sharing, because now I know if I
- 11:09Speaker 5: go to Starbucks and have the option.
- 11:11Speaker 4: I'm probably not gonna pick the one. Angie.
- 11:14Speaker 3: Yeah, mine was the least impressive.
- 11:16Speaker 4: Yeah, it's not bad.
- 11:17Speaker 2: Well because even it was like a checkered pattern, but
- 11:20Speaker 2: it was mostly red with touches of green. They have
- 11:24Speaker 2: that exact same pattern where it's mostly green with touches
- 11:27Speaker 2: of red.
- 11:27Speaker 3: And that one looks cool.
- 11:28Speaker 4: Way better, way better.
- 11:31Speaker 3: Way better. Whatever.
- 11:32Speaker 2: It's fine, but here's what's really going down is that.
- 11:37Speaker 3: And Lisa posted a picture of her.
- 11:39Speaker 2: She said that after five stops, she finally snagged the
- 11:42Speaker 2: Barrista bear cup.
- 11:44Speaker 5: Lisa got like the golden ticket for Willie Watty.
- 11:50Speaker 2: It's this cup that looks like a little bear and
- 11:52Speaker 2: the top to the cup looks like a little beanie, and.
- 11:55Speaker 3: It says Starbucks.
- 11:56Speaker 2: And it has a straw that's green and white striped,
- 11:59Speaker 2: and it has the Starbucks logo on its belly.
- 12:01Speaker 3: Very cute.
- 12:03Speaker 2: Sold out basically everywhere, to the point where Starbucks apologized.
- 12:09Speaker 3: For not making enough.
- 12:12Speaker 2: They said, oh, sorry, we didn't even even we didn't
- 12:14Speaker 2: know they were going to be so dope.
- 12:16Speaker 4: Bbie. I've started to think they do this on purpose.
- 12:18Speaker 3: Of course they do.
- 12:19Speaker 2: But they also said, well, we have more exciting holiday cup,
- 12:24Speaker 2: the holiday.
- 12:24Speaker 3: Things coming, and that's it.
- 12:26Speaker 2: They didn't say there was going to be a restock
- 12:28Speaker 2: or anything. They had didn't say one way or the other.
- 12:32Speaker 2: So now I went to search for a cup online.
- 12:36Speaker 4: Hoping you could snag one for like twenty bucks.
- 12:38Speaker 3: No, absolutely not.
- 12:39Speaker 2: I can't, because there some are selling for up to
- 12:42Speaker 2: fifteen hundred dollars on eBay. The cheapest one I've seen
- 12:47Speaker 2: is two hundred and eighty nine dollars for this berry
- 12:51Speaker 2: stock cup. Now I don't think it's worth all that,
- 12:54Speaker 2: but I will suggest this, if you have one of
- 12:59Speaker 2: these coveted barrista cups.
- 13:01Speaker 3: Are you willing to do some sort of a.
- 13:04Speaker 2: Trade text me seven oh one two eight one nine
- 13:07Speaker 2: eight seven.
- 13:08Speaker 3: I want one.
- 13:09Speaker 2: Maybe there's something that I have that is worth more
- 13:13Speaker 2: to somebody than the bear Easta Or you could go
- 13:17Speaker 2: the cheapy, cheap route and you could grab one of
- 13:19Speaker 2: those honey bears at the grocery make your own, and
- 13:24Speaker 2: then just make your own.
- 13:26Speaker 3: That might be the move.
- 13:27Speaker 2: But if you are willing to make a trade for
- 13:29Speaker 2: the bar Easta cup, let me know one nine eight seven.
- 13:33Speaker 5: If you are spending fifteen hundred dollars on a cup,
- 13:39Speaker 5: all right? That thing also better drive you to work
- 13:42Speaker 5: while you drink it.
- 13:48Speaker 1: Starting off the day with something good. This is Gabe's
- 13:52Speaker 1: good News on Big ninety eight point seven.
- 13:56Speaker 5: A seventeen year old student who wanted to try to
- 14:01Speaker 5: help people who are dealing with the loss of SNAP
- 14:04Speaker 5: benefits is giving away one thousand free hot dogs to
- 14:10Speaker 5: children in his community and families who've lost access to
- 14:14Speaker 5: those SNAP benefits during the government shutdown. His name is
- 14:17Speaker 5: Jake Proco Pets, kind of an interesting name hot dog
- 14:21Speaker 5: proca Pets. He runs a hot dog stand called Jake's Dogs,
- 14:26Speaker 5: and he's stocked up on supply so he can offer
- 14:28Speaker 5: meals at no cost. His stand is located kind of
- 14:33Speaker 5: on the East Coast and it has become this huge
- 14:36Speaker 5: gathering spot where community members are stopping by to get
- 14:39Speaker 5: some help and they want to show support for him
- 14:41Speaker 5: as well. He plans to continue the free hot dog
- 14:44Speaker 5: giveaway this weekend and potentially as long as he can
- 14:48Speaker 5: to help out these families. This seventeen year old first
- 14:51Speaker 5: off entrepreneur. All right, a seventeen year old got his
- 14:54Speaker 5: own hot dog stand. That alone pretty darn cool. But
- 14:57Speaker 5: it's just awesome that he wants to help out the
- 14:59Speaker 5: people in his community, and I'm sure in turn is
- 15:02Speaker 5: also receiving help from others who want to jump on board.
- 15:05Speaker 2: I love that the suspension of snap benefits has affected
- 15:09Speaker 2: so many people, and a lot of times it's the
- 15:11Speaker 2: kids that suffer and go hungry, so I love to
- 15:15Speaker 2: see this guy doing this. And by the way, we
- 15:17Speaker 2: do have pinned to the top of our Facebook page
- 15:20Speaker 2: Great Plains Food Bank. It's a list of all of
- 15:23Speaker 2: the food pantries in the FM area in case you
- 15:25Speaker 2: are looking for some assistance, and of course if you're
- 15:28Speaker 2: looking to donate, so check that out on the big
- 15:31Speaker 2: ninety eight point seven Facebook page.
- 15:32Speaker 5: The world is full of nice people. If you can't
- 15:35Speaker 5: find one, you gotta be one.
