- 0:07[SPEAKER_00]: Jacksonville Jaguar's fans, welcome in to Dove All Daily, presented by Jinjag.com.
- 0:10[SPEAKER_00]: I'm Jordan Deluga, thanks so much for being here Wednesday, October 8th, sounds like the voice is back a little bit.
- 0:17[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think it's all the way back, but I think it is on its way back.
- 0:20[SPEAKER_00]: And that's a good feeling after Monday, night, football, your Jacksonville Jaguar is getting to four and one after taking down the Kansas City Chiefs.
- 0:28[SPEAKER_00]: 31, 28, they were down 14, nothing it did not matter.
- 0:33[SPEAKER_00]: We're doing a new segment here today.
- 0:35[SPEAKER_00]: Keep my name out your mouth.
- 0:36[SPEAKER_00]: Don't know if we're going to do it every week.
- 0:37[SPEAKER_00]: We're going to do it when I feel like doing it.
- 0:39[SPEAKER_00]: And I did have some questions, you know, jacked at his inside the numbers show this morning.
- 0:44[SPEAKER_00]: I guess not everybody saw the first installment of that where we introduced jack had some comments wondering about that.
- 0:50[SPEAKER_00]: But jack is a college student, he's a journalism student, he reached out to me, he wants to cover the jack wars a little bit with us here.
- 0:56[SPEAKER_00]: And so we're giving him opportunity to do that with the inside the numbers segment every single week.
- 1:03[SPEAKER_00]: Welcome him with open arms.
- 1:04[SPEAKER_00]: He's doing a great job.
- 1:05[SPEAKER_00]: He's growing.
- 1:06[SPEAKER_00]: He's learning.
- 1:06[SPEAKER_00]: He's doing his best there and he's providing some good content.
- 1:09[SPEAKER_00]: So that's pretty awesome.
- 1:11[SPEAKER_00]: Happy to have Jack here.
- 1:13[SPEAKER_00]: But this segment is about just crap I hear on the internet and you know from different shows around wherever that pisses me off that I want to talk about.
- 1:26[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, I'm gonna be a little bit fired up about this one.
- 1:29[SPEAKER_00]: There's just a lot of crap after the Jaguars are four and one.
- 1:32[SPEAKER_00]: They should be five and oh, it hasn't been pretty all the time.
- 1:36[SPEAKER_00]: But we're gonna get into some things I'm hearing that just bother me and I want to talk about it.
- 1:41[SPEAKER_00]: So that's what we're doing here today.
- 1:42[SPEAKER_00]: Really appreciate you being here.
- 1:43[SPEAKER_00]: If you enjoy the content, please like and subscribe.
- 1:45[SPEAKER_00]: You can also check out jingjag.com and pick up some new Duval gear, help support the channel, look good while doing it.
- 1:51[SPEAKER_00]: So, folks are still trying to move the goal post on Trevor Lawrence.
- 1:55[SPEAKER_00]: Folks are saying Trevor Lawrence did not have a good game.
- 1:57[SPEAKER_00]: Folks are saying Trevor Lawrence is not a very accurate passer.
- 2:00[SPEAKER_00]: Trevor Lawrence isn't this, he isn't that.
- 2:03[SPEAKER_00]: I swear, no matter what Trevor Lawrence does, people will move the goal post.
- 2:11[SPEAKER_00]: No matter what he does, if he's not absolutely 100% perfect, if he doesn't go 30 for 30 for 400 yards and three touchdowns,
- 2:21[SPEAKER_00]: People will move the goalpost.
- 2:22[SPEAKER_00]: People will say he's not good enough.
- 2:24[SPEAKER_00]: People will say he's not performing well enough.
- 2:27[SPEAKER_00]: And that's just ridiculous.
- 2:28[SPEAKER_00]: Like quarterbacks in the NFL aren't perfect.
- 2:30[SPEAKER_00]: Ask Patrick Mahomes.
- 2:33[SPEAKER_00]: Ask Patrick.
- 2:34[SPEAKER_00]: He's not perfect.
- 2:35[SPEAKER_00]: He's still the greatest quarterback I've ever seen.
- 2:38[SPEAKER_00]: Tom Brady wasn't perfect.
- 2:39[SPEAKER_00]: Sometimes he looked perfect.
- 2:43[SPEAKER_00]: But.
- 2:45[SPEAKER_00]: Playing quarterback in the NFL, you are not going to be perfect.
- 2:48[SPEAKER_00]: Playing any position in the NFL, you're not going to be perfect.
- 2:51[SPEAKER_00]: Coaching in the NFL, you're not going to be perfect.
- 2:55[SPEAKER_00]: This is an imperfect league.
- 2:56[SPEAKER_00]: It's a league of parity.
- 2:57[SPEAKER_00]: It's a league of competition.
- 2:59[SPEAKER_00]: Of talent, right?
- 3:02[SPEAKER_00]: Trevor Lawrence is playing good football for the Jaguars, and he has been all year.
- 3:07[SPEAKER_00]: Has it been perfect?
- 3:08[SPEAKER_00]: No.
- 3:09[SPEAKER_00]: Right?
- 3:09[SPEAKER_00]: Have there been moments he would like back?
- 3:11[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 3:11[SPEAKER_00]: Were there moments in this game where he could have performed at a higher level?
- 3:15[SPEAKER_00]: Absolutely.
- 3:16[SPEAKER_00]: You could say that for just about everybody on the field.
- 3:19[SPEAKER_00]: Okay?
- 3:20[SPEAKER_00]: So quit moving the goal post.
- 3:22[SPEAKER_00]: Quarterbacks aren't perfect.
- 3:23[SPEAKER_00]: Trevor Lawrence is playing great football.
- 3:24[SPEAKER_00]: He just scored three touchdowns.
- 3:26[SPEAKER_00]: Against Kansas City Chiefs on Monday Night Football.
- 3:29[SPEAKER_00]: He ran all over the yard, he picked himself up off the map twice, literally.
- 3:36[SPEAKER_00]: Got his team back from a 14 point deficit, you know, he tried to go up and over on the touch push.
- 3:42[SPEAKER_00]: He shouldn't have done that.
- 3:42[SPEAKER_00]: It gave Nick Bolton an opportunity to knock the ball out on the goal line and maybe that was a touchdown.
- 3:47[SPEAKER_00]: He couldn't really tell.
- 3:49[SPEAKER_00]: It was damn close.
- 3:53[SPEAKER_00]: He fought back, he fought back, and he played good football, and he's been playing good football.
- 3:59[SPEAKER_00]: And so many people, the other thing is beyond just like being critical of Trevor Lawrence in the way he's played this year.
- 4:06[SPEAKER_00]: So many people are like, oh, Trevor Lawrence has finally arrived.
- 4:10[SPEAKER_00]: It's like dude, did you not see what he did in 2022 when he led the Jaguar to six of seven wins to get into the playoffs and then he came back against the chargers, unbelievable second half to win that game.
- 4:22[SPEAKER_00]: And then he went to Kansas City and played a good game in the divisional round of the playoffs and but for some issues with other players in my opinion, in big moments.
- 4:34[SPEAKER_00]: He would have had the Jaguar beating the chiefs and yes, it was a hobbled Patrick Mahomes who did miss some of that game.
- 4:41[SPEAKER_00]: Look, Trevor Lawrence arrived a long time ago and then he played a hell of a year in 2023 before the Rails fall off because of injury.
- 4:50[SPEAKER_00]: Like, do not forget what he did in 2023 was playing at a really high level.
- 4:56[SPEAKER_00]: How about him getting injured on Sunday?
- 5:00[SPEAKER_00]: Four days later, he's leading the Jaguar as to an impropable victory on the road against the New Orleans Saints, right?
- 5:09[SPEAKER_00]: And then last year, with everything falling apart around him, a head coach and a GM who had each other, a lot of coaches who are not on the same page, your defensive coordinator's trying to get everybody to fatten up.
- 5:22[SPEAKER_00]: You'd have no receiving talent, really.
- 5:24[SPEAKER_00]: Compared to what you have now, I mean, Brian Thomas Jr.
- 5:26[SPEAKER_00]: was just still growing into himself, and he's still growing into himself, right?
- 5:33[SPEAKER_00]: Trevor Lawrence has been a good quarterback in this league,
- 5:39[SPEAKER_00]: and he will continue to grow with Liam Cohen there, great yin and yang.
- 5:43[SPEAKER_00]: You're seeing Liam Cohen is the more fiery personality.
- 5:47[SPEAKER_00]: Trevor Lawrence is the more calm person out of it.
- 5:49[SPEAKER_00]: You're seeing them rub off on each other.
- 5:51[SPEAKER_00]: And I think that that is a great relationship.
- 5:53[SPEAKER_00]: I really do.
- 5:56[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, keep Trevor Lawrence, name out your mouth.
- 5:59[SPEAKER_00]: If you don't think he's been that and if you don't think he is that, bottom line.
- 6:03[SPEAKER_00]: Folks are still trying to talk crap about Travis Hunter and his use is I saw people saying, oh, now we're just posting stats about how many snaps you had as an impressive thing.
- 6:11[SPEAKER_00]: No, how about going up and getting a 44 yard pass with two chiefs defenders, right in position to defend you, they have no chance to get it because you are just that dude.
- 6:23[SPEAKER_00]: How about making people miss in the open field?
- 6:26[SPEAKER_00]: because you are that dude.
- 6:27[SPEAKER_00]: He's done that now, two out of the last three games.
- 6:31[SPEAKER_00]: How about going and getting the past of flexion?
- 6:35[SPEAKER_00]: How about making impact plays all game?
- 6:41[SPEAKER_00]: That's what Travis Hunter did.
- 6:42[SPEAKER_00]: And how about the fact that everyone's like, oh, his usage is so stupid, he should only play offense.
- 6:48[SPEAKER_00]: He should only play defense.
- 6:50[SPEAKER_00]: No.
- 6:51[SPEAKER_00]: The Jaguar's traded up for Travis Hunter to play both sides of the ball and they did not trade up for him to be the all world player in the first month of the season that was never the realistic expectation.
- 7:04[SPEAKER_00]: You expect all world moments and you have gotten those.
- 7:07[SPEAKER_00]: By the way, you had one against the Cincinnati Bengals on a play that should help the Jaguars win the game.
- 7:13[SPEAKER_00]: Instead, the referees put it in their own hands and called passenger clearance on a clearly beautiful play and coverage by Travis Hunter.
- 7:21[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 7:23[SPEAKER_00]: Travis Hunter has an insane amount of physical and mental responsibility for the Jacksonville Jaguars.
- 7:30[SPEAKER_00]: I think they're doing a great job managing him.
- 7:33[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, usage wise on offense, do you want more down the field?
- 7:36[SPEAKER_00]: Do you want more targets?
- 7:37[SPEAKER_00]: Absolutely.
- 7:38[SPEAKER_00]: They're working towards that.
- 7:40[SPEAKER_00]: It was never going to be a finished product from a coaching and playing and mental standpoint in the first four weeks of the year.
- 7:48[SPEAKER_00]: But they're starting to figure it out.
- 7:51[SPEAKER_00]: They're starting to get there, right?
- 7:53[SPEAKER_00]: I'm excited to see it.
- 7:54[SPEAKER_00]: Travis Hunter is absolutely awesome.
- 7:57[SPEAKER_00]: He was my favorite player in this draft by a wide margin.
- 8:00[SPEAKER_00]: That's not post draft reaction.
- 8:02[SPEAKER_00]: That's not, you know, hindsight.
- 8:04[SPEAKER_00]: That I've been saying that for over a year, point blank, Travis Hunter, best player in the draft.
- 8:12[SPEAKER_00]: Draft him, play him and prosper.
- 8:17[SPEAKER_00]: And the Jaguar's traded up,
- 8:19[SPEAKER_00]: to have an old world player on both sides of the ball for the duration of his career.
- 8:25[SPEAKER_00]: Four, five, six, seven years, whatever it is that he can play at a high level on both sides.
- 8:30[SPEAKER_00]: And I think he absolutely can.
- 8:31[SPEAKER_00]: I can't wait to continue watching it.
- 8:33[SPEAKER_00]: How about, yes, as T-Wig, my guy Tony Wig into host Lockdown Jaguars, go check his show out.
- 8:40[SPEAKER_00]: He's always been a Travelling Walker defender.
- 8:43[SPEAKER_00]: Always.
- 8:44[SPEAKER_00]: Always.
- 8:46[SPEAKER_00]: And he said, you know,
- 8:49[SPEAKER_00]: Keep his name out your mouth.
- 8:50[SPEAKER_00]: Trayvon Walker, you better not be saying any mess about this guy anymore, because you see how bad the Jaguar struggled without him.
- 8:56[SPEAKER_00]: And do I think that it's 100% that, like, do I think of Trayvon Walker played in this game the Jaguar's defense of lime would have performed better?
- 9:04[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 9:04[SPEAKER_00]: Do I think that they would have looked how they have looked against some opponents?
- 9:08[SPEAKER_00]: No, because the Kansas City Chiefs, the offense the way it was designed, it would have been difficult for anybody to have a major impact at times.
- 9:15[SPEAKER_00]: on the game from a past rush perspective just the way they had it designed and dialed up, but there were some moments where Patrick McCombs was able to hold on to the ball.
- 9:23[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe Trayvon Walker does make a play there, right?
- 9:29[SPEAKER_00]: Trayvon Walker is a great player.
- 9:31[SPEAKER_00]: He is a player that opposing offenses have to prepare for.
- 9:35[SPEAKER_00]: He is a player that takes pressure off Josh Hinds Allen.
- 9:37[SPEAKER_00]: He's a player that makes it easier for everyone on that defense.
- 9:41[SPEAKER_00]: And he is ascended in my opinion to be a player that not only do you have to account for, but a player that even when you do account for him, he's still going to beat you.
- 9:54[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, Travelling Walker, they need him.
- 9:56[SPEAKER_00]: I want to see him back this week.
- 9:57[SPEAKER_00]: Hopefully he can play Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks, but yeah, I'm with you too.
- 10:03[SPEAKER_00]: Keep Travelling Walker's name out your mouth.
- 10:05[SPEAKER_00]: Devon Lloyd didn't play great.
- 10:09[SPEAKER_00]: Keep his name out your mouth.
- 10:11[SPEAKER_00]: I've seen so many comments from people.
- 10:13[SPEAKER_00]: Keep players back.
- 10:15[SPEAKER_00]: Devon Lloyd didn't play a very good football game.
- 10:17[SPEAKER_00]: Some people I don't respect as well have said that.
- 10:21[SPEAKER_00]: I saw outside of the pick six he played like ass, excuse me, outside of a 99 yard record setting pick six he did not play well a 99 yard record setting pick six where he broke Patrick my home's ankles like Patrick my home is laying on the ground like a fish shout it to Patrick I love him but come on man, Devin Lloyd made you look silly there
- 10:53[SPEAKER_00]: held that ball high and tight.
- 10:55[SPEAKER_00]: Tycohan Thornton trying to punch it out.
- 10:58[SPEAKER_00]: Devin Lloyd's plan like a defensive MVP.
- 11:00[SPEAKER_00]: You are not going to be perfect at the linebacker position against the team like the chiefs' old game.
- 11:05[SPEAKER_00]: You're not.
- 11:06[SPEAKER_00]: But shout out to Anthony Campanylei for dialing that call up because that wasn't unscouted look.
- 11:12[SPEAKER_00]: The chiefs were not ready for that in the red zone.
- 11:18[SPEAKER_00]: Anthony Campanylei dialed it up.
- 11:21[SPEAKER_00]: Devin Lloyd, fake to the rush, dropped back perfect timing.
- 11:26[SPEAKER_00]: Patrick Mahomes had no idea he was there.
- 11:30[SPEAKER_00]: How's it?
- 11:31[SPEAKER_00]: Devin Lloyd is playing elite football.
- 11:37[SPEAKER_00]: And, you know, there's still some folks that don't have the Jaguars very high in their power rankings.
- 11:44[SPEAKER_00]: I'm seeing the Jaguars outside of the top 10.
- 11:47[SPEAKER_00]: I think ESPN has the Jaguars outside of the top 10.
- 11:52[SPEAKER_00]: This is a team that despite not having a great connection through the first month, the year between Trevor Lawrence and Brian Thomas Jr., between Trevor Lawrence and Travis Hunter, despite the pre-snap operations still being a work in progress.
- 12:10[SPEAKER_00]: And it might always be a work in progress because it is a offense that requires so much communication, pre-snap movement, it's complicated offense.
- 12:20[SPEAKER_00]: And it's complicated for a reason, because it makes it difficult for the defense to keep up, right?
- 12:26[SPEAKER_00]: Despite that, despite the fact that you're not seeing perfect football everywhere, that you're not seeing, well, I mean, you saw it a little bit in this game, right?
- 12:36[SPEAKER_00]: Trevor Lawrence and those guys Brian Thomas Jr.
- 12:37[SPEAKER_00]: and Travis Hunter, but through the first four weeks, he didn't.
- 12:41[SPEAKER_00]: He didn't see a lot.
- 12:45[SPEAKER_00]: And they were still three and one, and now they're four and one.
- 12:48[SPEAKER_00]: They find ways to win.
- 12:49[SPEAKER_00]: Liam Cohen is a great coach.
- 12:50[SPEAKER_00]: Anthony Camponele is a great coach.
- 12:52[SPEAKER_00]: There's a lot of great coaches underneath them on the staff.
- 12:54[SPEAKER_00]: Heathfarer was a great coach.
- 12:55[SPEAKER_00]: Trevor Lawrence is a damn good quarterback.
- 12:57[SPEAKER_00]: They got those dudes in Brian Thomas Jr.
- 12:59[SPEAKER_00]: Travis Hunter.
- 13:00[SPEAKER_00]: E. T. N. and and I know you've got Bill Barnwell out here.
- 13:05[SPEAKER_00]: Clown it on tootin for running into the on the screen.
- 13:09[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and yeah, that was not a great play, but basal tootins been a very good young player.
- 13:13[SPEAKER_00]: Lee Quint Allen.
- 13:14[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, don't even get me started on him.
- 13:15[SPEAKER_00]: He's so freaking awesome.
- 13:18[SPEAKER_00]: The Jaguars are nowhere near their peak, and they're four and one.
- 13:26[SPEAKER_00]: Let that sink in.
- 13:27[SPEAKER_00]: These Jags are different, y'all.
- 13:28[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, they're different.
- 13:30[SPEAKER_00]: They're better coached.
- 13:31[SPEAKER_00]: They're more confident.
- 13:33[SPEAKER_00]: They're better coached in a variety of ways, too.
- 13:35[SPEAKER_00]: It's not just the ex-genos, which are great.
- 13:39[SPEAKER_00]: It's the communication, the teaching, and the confidence of building, and the relationship building.
- 13:47[SPEAKER_00]: It's been fun to watch Liam Cohen talk about Trevor Lawrence because he's so complimentary, but he always says, you know, there's me left on the bone, there's more to do and more to grow.
- 13:55[SPEAKER_00]: And he's basically said that about his entire team every time and every post game, he's like getting these guys jacked up, it's saying, hey, we got to clean it up.
- 14:04[SPEAKER_00]: I can't wait for sounds of the game, can't wait for club Jaguar tonight.
- 14:08[SPEAKER_00]: You see how Jaguar's channel, 830pm, the club is open, come hang out with us.
- 14:14[SPEAKER_00]: Again, 830 pm tonight, Wednesday, October 8th, Club Jack War.
- 14:19[SPEAKER_00]: It's going to be a good one.
- 14:20[SPEAKER_00]: Really appreciate y'all tuning in.
- 14:21[SPEAKER_00]: If you enjoy the content, please like and subscribe.
- 14:24[SPEAKER_00]: Y'all have a good one.
