- 0:01Speaker 1: Hello everyone, welcome back to Empower your Soul.
- 0:03Speaker 1: Today I wanted to talk about a couple of mentorships I'm wrapping up these are classes that I have taken and also talk a little bit about my new shamanic class.
- 0:13Speaker 1: I just completed the weekend two of my nine-month training with my shamanic practices and I'm coming to the realization through all of this work that what everyone said because I'm a medium, I practice with a lot of people I have been told over and over again with my peers, with my teachers, with my mentors, that I look up to, that spirit is my teacher now and I keep ignoring that advice.
- 0:45Speaker 1: And I know this is a little contrary to what I said previously that you should always be learning from somebody, and I still think that's true.
- 0:56Speaker 1: But I think the function of learning can look different when you get to a certain level.
- 1:01Speaker 1: And I guess this is maybe my introduction to maybe a new thing I'm going to be rolling out soon as well, because what I found with my two mentorships I wrapped up so one is a psychic investigation class and I took this class before with another teacher hated it signed up initially for the first session a couple years ago because I thought I'd be looking for, like lost rings or lost things that you know you might lose around that last key.
- 1:27Speaker 1: No, it was a cold case class which, if you know me personally, I don't like horror, I don't like cold cases.
- 1:34Speaker 1: I I I have never liked it.
- 1:37Speaker 1: It always felt way too close for comfort.
- 1:39Speaker 1: I like my skin would crawl.
- 1:41Speaker 1: I stay away from all of that stuff ever since I was a little girl.
- 1:45Speaker 1: Mind you, this is nothing new.
- 1:46Speaker 1: So I was very surprised when Spirit told me to sign up for this class again and I think you know it was important for me to number one I loved with this mentorship.
- 2:00Speaker 1: It was not.
- 2:00Speaker 1: First of all, it was on Sundays.
- 2:02Speaker 1: It's the worst day, I know, I don't.
- 2:04Speaker 1: I think I went to one class live, which was unfortunate because I know she's an amazing teacher, I know it was an amazing group, but like it's the middle of my weekend, so that just didn't happen.
- 2:13Speaker 1: I ended up watching all the recordings.
- 2:16Speaker 1: But what was so cool about this teacher is that she presented topics that I hadn't seen before, and that's why I needed to come to this class, because she had a different teacher, which I loved.
- 2:32Speaker 1: She had different teachers come in that were experts in the topic to present the information.
- 2:36Speaker 1: But she had a dream expert, my dear friend Claire.
- 2:41Speaker 1: She's amazing, claire Falcon, she's out of Germany, she's amazing.
- 2:46Speaker 1: So we talked about dreams with Claire.
- 2:47Speaker 1: We talked about forensic astrology, we talked about how to use tarot and oracle cards to help solve cases, forensic handwriting, remote viewing.
- 2:56Speaker 1: So all of these classes, I think, were a really cool mix for me to really look at the cold case stuff from a very different perspective.
- 3:05Speaker 1: Because the way that I was taught in the first class was essentially you're just tapping in either psychically or mediumistically if they are departed, and trying to see things from the perspectives of the victim and the perp.
- 3:23Speaker 1: And I think this is why I like ran for the hills in that first class and thankfully that was a short class, it didn't last very long.
- 3:30Speaker 1: But it's one thing to read about cold cases and what happens, the horrible things that happen to these people.
- 3:38Speaker 1: It's a whole other thing to tap in psychically and feel that energy.
- 3:44Speaker 1: And I think that's why I have such a hard time with it is because when I go in and see what happened to the victim, I feel it like it's happening to me when I go in and I see the perspective of the perpetrator and I see what they're doing to these people.
- 4:03Speaker 1: I feel how they feel and what they're doing, so it's, needless to say, like it's enough to make me vomit.
- 4:12Speaker 1: I'm going to be honest with all of you, but I loved that this teacher had a different perspective on it and it wasn't just tapping in psychically to the main people in it, but using different tools to point to understanding the crime, the circumstances of the missing person, etc.
- 4:31Speaker 1: To get a more well-rounded story of what happened.
- 4:37Speaker 1: And I love that.
- 4:39Speaker 1: I mean, she was so great, she was so passionate in the topic and her perspective as a teacher was amazing too, because nothing was ever wrong.
- 4:48Speaker 1: It was just like see how you can make it fit instead of it was wrong, and I freaking love that perspective.
- 4:56Speaker 1: That alone ding, ding, ding, spirit saying in my head, was the most important part of the class for me, because it wasn't that anything we said was wrong, it was just that we were only seeing pieces and parts and puzzles.
- 5:07Speaker 1: Um, and yeah, that's how a lot of the cold cases work, is that you'll get practitioners who have the pieces and parts and then you look at everybody together and that makes the whole story.
- 5:19Speaker 1: So I loved her just loving, caring perspective, the can-do attitude that she brought to it and I think it was brilliant how spirit kind of led me there in learning that new perspective.
- 5:35Speaker 1: Because I'm going to like a little tiny, tiny side tangent because I think that the work that we do with mediumship and Akashic Records and kind of the soul alignment sessions that we do, that is hard right.
- 5:46Speaker 1: Like we know, we are facing skeptics every day.
- 5:48Speaker 1: I would say most people probably believe in it at this point.
- 5:51Speaker 1: I think there's some research I read recently that more people than don't than not believe that heaven is real.
- 5:57Speaker 1: Your departed loved ones are with you.
- 5:59Speaker 1: So I would say it's becoming less of an uphill battle in that space.
- 6:02Speaker 1: But I tell you, within the cold case space like number one, it's hot.
- 6:06Speaker 1: So I know a lot of people that are practicing doing psychic investigation.
- 6:10Speaker 1: But number two, I think that the people that believe it love it.
- 6:15Speaker 1: But I do think there's more of an uphill battle, especially working with private investigators, working with the police, that are probably more skeptical.
- 6:22Speaker 1: So I love that.
- 6:23Speaker 1: You know there's a whole group of people that are really pushing really hard to cement themselves as problem solvers or an additional tool they can use to solve a lot of these cases and help people.
- 6:35Speaker 1: And, like that's underlined in my head, to help people because it's another way that we can use these amazing gifts and I'm going to say the word gifts, I know that triggers people, but these amazing gifts that you work very hard to learn, it's not like it's just given to you to help the people that need it.
- 6:51Speaker 1: So if you are interested in psychic investigation, let me know.
- 6:56Speaker 1: I think she's starting a new class in the new year.
- 6:58Speaker 1: I would love to send you her information.
- 7:00Speaker 1: So just head on to my website and submit a request and let me know, happy to send you that information.
- 7:06Speaker 1: And then the second class I wrapped up was with an advanced mediumship teacher.
- 7:12Speaker 1: Spirit is telling me don't name names, which is totally fine, but she was just she's delightful.
- 7:18Speaker 1: I've followed this medium, this professional medium, since my very beginning.
- 7:22Speaker 1: She has a book that I've read and so I saw that she had an advanced mediumship class, mentorship, and Spirit really pushed me to sign up, so I did and she's lovely.
- 7:36Speaker 1: I know that her strengths are not my strengths and I know that she comes at things from a very.
- 7:42Speaker 1: She was trained in the UK.
- 7:43Speaker 1: So she does have a lot of the more practical evidence where where I think that I struggle.
- 7:49Speaker 1: I don't think I honestly struggle as much as I think I do.
- 7:52Speaker 1: But I'm going to say my perspective is I think I struggle with the practical evidence but the way that she presents information is so kind and so loving and at such a slow pace and using words that are very clearly spirit.
- 8:06Speaker 1: And so I, even though I'm going to say at the surface level I didn't, there weren't any new topics that she taught me that I hadn't done before.
- 8:14Speaker 1: I didn't.
- 8:15Speaker 1: There weren't any new topics that she taught me that I hadn't done before, but every single class had these little nuggets of gold that I wrote down in my OneNote so I can Google them, you know, search for them later and reread it later, but these little nuggets of gold that I walked away with, that really helped me.
- 8:29Speaker 1: I'm going to say round out a little bit better as a medium, and I think that this gets to the topic at the beginning that I kind of mentioned is that I need to work with spirit more now as my teacher than leaning on other professionals as my teacher, and I think it's different because if I'm going to learn something like forensic astrology, I'm going to need a teacher, because that's Greek to me.
- 8:59Speaker 1: So I'm going to need to learn the basics of astrology, then find that class because it's so niche, right, but when it comes to broad I'm saying broad, hopefully those of you that are mediums you understand but just advanced mediumship, which is really broad.
- 9:15Speaker 1: I mean, what is advanced mediumship?
- 9:17Speaker 1: Is that deepening your blend with spirit?
- 9:19Speaker 1: Is that getting more specific evidence?
- 9:21Speaker 1: Is this working with demonstrations?
- 9:23Speaker 1: Is this finding clients, marketing, opening a business, right, like, like it's a broad topic to be advanced mediumship, mediumship.
- 9:40Speaker 1: But in that case I think, once you get to a certain level, teachers can only teach you so much and you do need to work with spirit more.
- 9:44Speaker 1: So I feel like I feel like this is a little bit of a slap on the wrist from spirit and and I told you so because, again, many different readings I've had they told me spirit needs to be my teacher and I know that Spirit works through my clients, works through the classes I sign up for to give me nuggets of gold, but I would be so much further along if I worked with them more consistently and dedicated more time to them.
- 10:07Speaker 1: So I'm just I'm gonna say bow down to my amazing team and say, yeah, I should have listened, but overall great classes, loved the format of them.
- 10:18Speaker 1: And then the last one I want to talk about and I'm going to I'm probably going to bite my tongue a little bit in this because I don't want to say too many things but my Shimana class that I just had.
- 10:28Speaker 1: I'll be 100% honest that I walked out of my second weekend frustrated, really frustrated, and honestly a little resentful, which, as I've learned from Adriana's human design, is my sign that I'm out of alignment, because I'm not getting out of it what I thought I would and I don't know what I thought.
- 10:55Speaker 1: I know that I wanted to learn shamanic practices because they were so mysterious to me and it feels very closed down and I've been told over and over again that I needed to sign up for a shamanic training from my team.
- 11:08Speaker 1: But what I'm learning as I'm in this class number one, I have my own opinions about the structure of the class and I'm going to leave it at that.
- 11:21Speaker 1: I think there's improvements, I think there's more efficient ways to do that.
- 11:24Speaker 1: So me, as a process efficiency person, my skin is crawling every class because it's just horribly inefficient and they're taking an entire weekend of my time and the crux of the shaman're taking an entire weekend of my time and the crux of the shamanic tools is 25% of that time 25% Like one I.
- 11:42Speaker 1: And I think, honest to God, I might just have to not watch it live from now on or maybe just go where I know they're going to talk about the tool because I have the agenda.
- 11:50Speaker 1: So that's on me, because there's a lot of discussions and a lot of a lot of learnings and I need to figure out what I want to do if I want to be meet people in the community, that of my class, or if I just want to show up and learn the tools.
- 12:06Speaker 1: So this is an eternal me problem of wanting to be a hermit and not me people.
- 12:11Speaker 1: It's a me problem and just wanting to show up and do the work.
- 12:16Speaker 1: So I'm going to have to reconcile myself with that.
- 12:19Speaker 1: But what I think has been really interesting and this weekend was all about energetic clearing using shamanic practices and also meeting a power animal for a um, your practice, for what, what's going on, and for me it's just so interesting because I have taken let's take with the chakra thing, clearing out chakras.
- 12:43Speaker 1: I am a Yasui Reiki master, right, I have taken Holy Fire Reiki.
- 12:47Speaker 1: I have taken Spirit Led Reiki, like, like, energy clearing, iet, energy clearing is not new to me.
- 12:54Speaker 1: I know all about the chakras, I know, like, the meridians, all these different things, right, but what was interesting to me is how the shamanism essentially had their own version of chakra clearing.
- 13:09Speaker 1: Right, it's all the same thing, but it's all different methods.
- 13:15Speaker 1: So it's just really interesting to me that I'm coming to the conclusion that there's something the shamanic practice that, in a big, big black box, looked mysterious and interesting and wow, like I can't.
- 13:26Speaker 1: It's like secret, right, it's totally secret.
- 13:28Speaker 1: And now, when I'm in learning this, I'm like, oh, I didn't need a class for this, like I could have just Googled this, worked with my team and figured out how they do it.
- 13:39Speaker 1: And the way that they're doing it doesn't resonate with me as much because I've already taken the advanced level classes on energy clearing.
- 13:46Speaker 1: So, like their one simple, tiny way to clear out energy, I'm like, well, what about the rest of this?
- 13:51Speaker 1: What about this, what about this?
- 13:52Speaker 1: So this is again probably a me problem, but I'm liking learning that even with shamanic practices, it's still the same baseline knowledge and perspective on how to clear chakras, even down to like what chakras look like?
- 14:12Speaker 1: Where are they in the body, right, like there's no difference there, and they just use a different tool to clean it.
- 14:18Speaker 1: Yeah, so that was interesting for me to really put my perspective and my head around is like, wow, it's just more of the same.
- 14:27Speaker 1: Where's the innovation?
- 14:29Speaker 1: Everybody I don't know.
- 14:30Speaker 1: And then the power animal thing was rad.
- 14:33Speaker 1: That was really cool.
- 14:34Speaker 1: But I've already had meet your spirit, meet your spirit animal, your animal totem, power animal meditations before, with a whole bunch of books I've read on the shamanic practice.
- 14:50Speaker 1: So that was nothing new to me and essentially it's just a guided meditation to go meet a power animal, like I'm going to be totally honest with you.
- 14:54Speaker 1: So it was.
- 14:55Speaker 1: And, by the way, I have animals that show up in readings for people anyway.
- 15:01Speaker 1: So when you, when I talk to guides, the guides will come in as dragons or bears or, you know, elephants Like.
- 15:10Speaker 1: So these are very clearly your power animals.
- 15:13Speaker 1: But again, it's just different tools to get you to the same outcome and I think this is why I needed to learn shamanism.
- 15:24Speaker 1: And I'm interested because, again, I'm in month two of nine months.
- 15:30Speaker 1: But I'm very interested to see if I am actually going to learn I'm going to be honest with you anything new and it's going to be a very expensive lesson for me if not, but I really hope.
- 15:43Speaker 1: I really hope this picks up.
- 15:44Speaker 1: I really hope I start really feeling connected to the class and feeling like I'm learning and feeling like it's worth the investment for me.
- 15:52Speaker 1: But I have to be honest at this point it's just interesting to me because I haven't learned anything new.
- 15:59Speaker 1: I just learned new ways to do the same tools that I already have within my skill set.
- 16:06Speaker 1: So I'm going to be honest with all of you.
- 16:08Speaker 1: I'm not going to.
- 16:10Speaker 1: Verdict will still be out.
- 16:11Speaker 1: Verdict will still be out on my shamanic class.
- 16:13Speaker 1: I'm still liking it, I guess I'm just I'm a little frustrated with a couple of the components, but I know that I'm there for a reason, so I'm going to stick with it and we'll see how the future classes go.
- 16:26Speaker 1: And, by the way, we're still in like the first trimester, which is all about the body.
- 16:30Speaker 1: So I'm not surprised I haven't really learned anything new because I again have a ton of healing modalities under my belt.
- 16:39Speaker 1: So I don't know, we'll see how it goes, but I did get a rattle.
- 16:42Speaker 1: I did get a rattle, I did get a cord cutter, like it was really cool.
- 16:50Speaker 1: But yeah, I think this entire journey across my shamanic classes, as well as the two classes I've taken, I think I'm just realizing how much you need to make your classes yours and you need to make your learning yours.
- 17:08Speaker 1: And if you feel like you want to sign up for a class, do it, but don't follow everything the teacher says to a T and this is coming from someone who again has gone through the uber rigid, uber structured like healing modalities that have specific rules and even the shamanism class they're showing me you have to do it this way, you have to clear your stones.
- 17:30Speaker 1: This way.
- 17:30Speaker 1: You can't do cord cuttings on yourself and I am constantly like, why not?
- 17:36Speaker 1: And then I literally did a cord cutting on myself last week.
- 17:39Speaker 1: Yeah, you can do it to yourself.
- 17:41Speaker 1: So break the rules, people.
- 17:43Speaker 1: If you're taking your classes, break the rules, ask the questions.
- 17:46Speaker 1: A lot of the teachers who teach this stuff have only continued to teach it in the way that they've been taught and they haven't put critical thinking into a lot of their work, which is?
- 17:58Speaker 1: I think my specialty is I challenge and question everything and I always make everything I learn mine and I take what resonates and I maybe leave what doesn't, or I adapt what doesn't.
- 18:07Speaker 1: And I encourage you all to do that in your learning journey as well, because it is so important to do we like pause?
- 18:18Speaker 1: Do we really think we have learned everything there is to learn about the spirit world so much that we parrot and repeat what our teachers have taught us?
- 18:25Speaker 1: Do we really, are we really that thick?
- 18:28Speaker 1: Because I don't think we're that dense everybody.
- 18:30Speaker 1: So again, god, universe, source unlimited, potential Unlimited.
- 18:40Speaker 1: So stop thinking that the way that we've learned things, the structures, the teachers are limiting a lot of people's thoughts, patterns, beliefs in how to execute these modalities.
- 18:54Speaker 1: And I'm going to challenge you to crawl yourself out of that box and do it your way and do it and innovate and find your own way with these tools without the approval needed of your teachers.
- 19:06Speaker 1: Okay, I think that's what I had to say for you today.
- 19:11Speaker 1: So I am in response to these.
- 19:16Speaker 1: I think I am going to open up my own version of some of these topics on some of these schools, because I want to encourage critical thinking I want to innovate, so stay tuned for that.
- 19:26Speaker 1: I think I'll be starting that in the new year.
- 19:28Speaker 1: But I just want to thank all of you for letting me talk about myself for a good 20 minutes or so.
- 19:34Speaker 1: But yeah, if you have any questions, any feedback, I'd love to hear it.
- 19:38Speaker 1: But I will keep you all apprised of my shamanic classes and how that's going.
- 19:43Speaker 1: Don't you worry about that.
- 19:45Speaker 1: But I hope you all have a wonderful day and take care and see you again soon.
- 19:50Speaker 1: Bye.
