Transcript
- 0:02Speaker 1: This guy stinks.
- 0:04Speaker 2: And by this guy, I'm talking about, Angie, why are
- 0:06Speaker 2: you getting your son detention?
- 0:08Speaker 3: I'm the actual worst.
- 0:10Speaker 4: So I got an email a couple of weeks ago
- 0:13Speaker 4: saying that Aiden has four detentions, four hours of detention
- 0:18Speaker 4: that he has to serve, and he has to serve
- 0:20Speaker 4: them before the school year is out.
- 0:22Speaker 1: Ever hours. That's a part time job exactly.
- 0:25Speaker 4: And I initially I was like, Aiden, why do you
- 0:30Speaker 4: have four detentions? And then he looked into it and
- 0:33Speaker 4: he was like, Mom, it's your fault. I let him
- 0:36Speaker 4: stay home from school when his cousin was visiting for
- 0:39Speaker 4: his birthday. But the responsible parent thing to do is
- 0:43Speaker 4: to call the school and excuse the absence.
- 0:47Speaker 3: I didn't do that. I forgot.
- 0:51Speaker 4: And so after we had this discussion, he said, okay,
- 0:54Speaker 4: please call my Please call my school.
- 0:57Speaker 1: Yeah, when was this, Angie again? April?
- 1:00Speaker 3: What April twentieth?
- 1:01Speaker 1: Oh, April twentieth. What's today's day? Do you know? Can
- 1:04Speaker 1: you see over there?
- 1:05Speaker 3: May fifteen?
- 1:06Speaker 2: Oh?
- 1:07Speaker 5: Okay?
- 1:08Speaker 1: So almost a month later.
- 1:10Speaker 4: Almost a month later, and to Aiden's credit, he quite
- 1:15Speaker 4: literally has been reminding me, if not every day, every
- 1:18Speaker 4: other day, to please call and so naturally, I just
- 1:22Speaker 4: didn't do it forever.
- 1:23Speaker 3: So I finally did. And when I got.
- 1:26Speaker 4: On the phone with the attendance lady, she said when
- 1:30Speaker 4: was the absence and I said April twentieth, and she said, oh,
- 1:34Speaker 4: that's too far back for me to help you.
- 1:39Speaker 3: I was like, gosh, dang it.
- 1:42Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:42Speaker 3: She was like, no, I don't even know we in
- 1:44Speaker 3: a whole other month.
- 1:45Speaker 5: Girl.
- 1:46Speaker 4: So she said, I can transfer you to his principle,
- 1:50Speaker 4: but it's late in the day because also I waited
- 1:52Speaker 4: until right before school was out.
- 1:54Speaker 3: I'm the worst.
- 1:55Speaker 4: And she said, you know you can leave him a
- 1:58Speaker 4: message and you know we'll see. So she transfers me
- 2:02Speaker 4: he does not answer as expected, and it tells you
- 2:05Speaker 4: to leave a brief message. I already know I'm going
- 2:08Speaker 4: to ruin that, so I say, hi, I'm Angie moraleis
- 2:13Speaker 4: my son is Aiden whatever his last name is, and
- 2:18Speaker 4: he had an absence on April twentieth that he got
- 2:22Speaker 4: detention for. Please do not punish him for my crimes.
- 2:26Speaker 4: It is my fault that he skipped school. I should
- 2:29Speaker 4: have called ahead. I didn't, And I'm aware that this
- 2:32Speaker 4: was back on April twentieth. If there's any way that
- 2:35Speaker 4: you could either excuse the absence or waive the detentions.
- 2:39Speaker 3: Please let me know.
- 2:41Speaker 4: And then I gave my information for a callback that
- 2:43Speaker 4: was two days ago.
- 2:44Speaker 3: Gabe and I have not heard from this principle.
- 2:49Speaker 4: So I don't know what is going to happen when
- 2:53Speaker 4: all is said and done. If Aiden has to serve
- 2:57Speaker 4: these four hours of detention, I have to say that
- 3:01Speaker 4: I will pay him minimum wage for each hour. So
- 3:05Speaker 4: whatever minimum wage is for four hours, I will pay him.
- 3:09Speaker 4: Because what a terrible mother that I caused him to
- 3:14Speaker 4: have detention and then never fixed it. By the way,
- 3:19Speaker 4: he didn't ask to stay home from school because his
- 3:21Speaker 4: cousin was in town.
- 3:22Speaker 3: That was literally my idea. Yeah I am.
- 3:27Speaker 4: You know, as I say it out loud, if he
- 3:30Speaker 4: wants to apply for a different mother, understand.
- 3:35Speaker 2: Well, there's a couple things we can unpackage here. But
- 3:37Speaker 2: first I gotta say, Aiden, when I was a young
- 3:40Speaker 2: eighteen year old, I wanted to go to school to
- 3:42Speaker 2: be a lawyer. So if you need one, I got
- 3:45Speaker 2: you covered. Okay, we mind doing is it legal? Every
- 3:47Speaker 2: single every Tuesday and Thursday here on Big ninety eight
- 3:50Speaker 2: point seven. You hire me as that agent, Okay? Maybe
- 3:52Speaker 2: we'll up that minimum wage price. First wow, Second, I
- 3:56Speaker 2: mean it is kind of I will defend you a
- 3:58Speaker 2: tiny bit obviously. I think you know you've admitted you
- 4:01Speaker 2: should have called, you should have got in there earlier
- 4:03Speaker 2: or whatever. What an arbitrary thing though, like oh you
- 4:06Speaker 2: think well what like yeah, maybe the computer doesn't let
- 4:09Speaker 2: it you go back, but what No, that's the law.
- 4:12Speaker 2: I gotta do the detentions, like just say okay, we'll
- 4:14Speaker 2: take care of it.
- 4:15Speaker 1: And be done with it.
- 4:16Speaker 2: It is it's super arbitrary that like, oh the computer
- 4:19Speaker 2: won't let me do it. Yeah, so because the computer
- 4:21Speaker 2: says he's going to have to do these detentions like no,
- 4:24Speaker 2: he doesn't.
- 4:24Speaker 3: It is refreshing to have you on my side for one.
- 4:27Speaker 2: Skime, no, no, no, no, no, now, let me come
- 4:29Speaker 2: back around, Angie.
- 4:33Speaker 1: Mother's Day was recently?
- 4:34Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 4:35Speaker 1: What day was Mother's Day?
- 4:36Speaker 4: Oh?
- 4:37Speaker 1: May ten, that's right, that was five days ago.
- 4:39Speaker 4: M hm.
- 4:40Speaker 1: Did you get a Mother's Day gift?
- 4:42Speaker 3: I sure did you did.
- 4:43Speaker 1: Oh?
- 4:44Speaker 2: Do you think maybe you should return it until these
- 4:46Speaker 2: detentions are cleared up?
- 4:49Speaker 1: And as a matter of fact, there.
- 4:50Speaker 2: Are four detentions, right, uh huh. I think it's only fair.
- 4:55Speaker 2: The last four Mother's Day gifts got to be put
- 4:57Speaker 2: away until you get this cleared up.
- 4:59Speaker 3: You know, Oh, I hate that. I agree with you.
- 5:02Speaker 1: Could you just go to the school, maybe do a
- 5:04Speaker 1: little in person.
- 5:06Speaker 4: That's the next step. If I remember.
- 5:12Speaker 2: Celebrating life's little victories victory every morning, we practice gratitude
- 5:17Speaker 2: on Big ninety eight point seven.
- 5:19Speaker 6: If I could, I would keep this feeling in a
- 5:21Speaker 6: basket job bust it out when it was someone's acting hard.
- 5:25Speaker 2: I just really needed to win, you know, share your
- 5:27Speaker 2: little victories with us at seven oh one, two and
- 5:30Speaker 2: one eight seven. And before we share our little victories,
- 5:34Speaker 2: here Andrew, we gotta share Tyler's little victory. Tyler said,
- 5:38Speaker 2: my dogs learned something. I always like this. Here what
- 5:42Speaker 2: your dogs learn Tyler? He said, My dogs finally don't
- 5:45Speaker 2: lay on the bed when I'm making it. They instantly
- 5:48Speaker 2: hop off when they see me grab a sheet. That
- 5:51Speaker 2: is so nice if you have pets and you're trying
- 5:53Speaker 2: to make your bed. Okay, so we have four cats
- 5:56Speaker 2: in our house and our dog right when you are
- 5:58Speaker 2: trying to make the bed. It's gotten to the point
- 6:00Speaker 2: where we just throw things up over the animals. We're
- 6:04Speaker 2: like you know, I'm not dealing with you, so just
- 6:08Speaker 2: you know, on goes the sheet, On goes the comforter,
- 6:10Speaker 2: and then you know, twenty seconds later you'll see Salem
- 6:12Speaker 2: trying to crawl out from under the area.
- 6:14Speaker 3: I need a video of this. That's hilarious.
- 6:17Speaker 1: And she do you have a little victory today?
- 6:19Speaker 4: Yesterday I was at Unhinged Sports Bar for a big
- 6:23Speaker 4: happy hour like I be most Thursdays, and I made
- 6:28Speaker 4: it a bit of a date night with Mikey And
- 6:30Speaker 4: the best part was that I handed.
- 6:33Speaker 3: Out all ninety eight beard.
- 6:36Speaker 1: Oh it's a good feeling.
- 6:38Speaker 4: It's a good feeling, but then the bad feeling where
- 6:41Speaker 4: someone comes in and I have no ticket to give
- 6:43Speaker 4: them and I'm like, oh man, but I just I
- 6:46Speaker 4: don't mention it. I'll be but yes, it was great
- 6:50Speaker 4: to be the beer for We don't.
- 6:51Speaker 1: Mention it until here at in the morning.
- 6:54Speaker 4: Well yeah right, well because yeah right, sorry, my bad,
- 6:58Speaker 4: But it was just really exciting to be the beer fairy.
- 7:00Speaker 4: But it's funny because and I know you've experienced this too.
- 7:04Speaker 3: When we're there, it's.
- 7:05Speaker 4: Almost like fighting to see, like who gets to hand
- 7:07Speaker 4: the beer ticket to the person who goes in because
- 7:10Speaker 4: Mikey and I were a little bit fighting over who's
- 7:12Speaker 4: handing them out because it just feels so good to
- 7:16Speaker 4: provide joy in the form of a beer. Anyway, that
- 7:20Speaker 4: was fun, and I found out that they are starting
- 7:23Speaker 4: to do karaoke nine pm on Thursdays every second and
- 7:28Speaker 4: fourth Thursday of the month.
- 7:30Speaker 1: Oh that's cool.
- 7:31Speaker 4: And you know your girl loves carrioke. So I just
- 7:35Speaker 4: had a great time at Big Happy Hour. That's my
- 7:37Speaker 4: little victory.
- 7:37Speaker 1: That is fabulous.
- 7:39Speaker 2: My little victory is this weekend I will be taking
- 7:43Speaker 2: maternity photos with my lovely wife, and you know those
- 7:48Speaker 2: photos where the lady looks all nice and great and
- 7:52Speaker 2: pregnant and the dudes in the background will kind of
- 7:54Speaker 2: blurred out.
- 7:54Speaker 1: Yeah, that'll be me.
- 7:56Speaker 3: I love that blurred Gabe.
- 7:58Speaker 6: That's right.
- 7:59Speaker 1: I'm looking forward to that.
- 8:00Speaker 2: I'm also playing my first round of golf tomorrow and
- 8:02Speaker 2: I've been telling Angie all week, like, man, I really
- 8:04Speaker 2: need to hit some golf balls.
- 8:05Speaker 3: You didn't go on the gorgeous day where there was
- 8:08Speaker 3: no winds.
- 8:08Speaker 2: I had just been a busy guy. I've been doing
- 8:10Speaker 2: a lot of stuff in the garage and it's just
- 8:13Speaker 2: been you know, tough and I got the dog, and
- 8:15Speaker 2: I always got it when it's nice.
- 8:16Speaker 1: I gotta take advantage of that with her.
- 8:18Speaker 2: It's just I haven't really found the old sneak off
- 8:21Speaker 2: to the golf course for an hour.
- 8:22Speaker 4: Well, I actually commend you for that. I commend you
- 8:25Speaker 4: for being productive. So this first round of golf that
- 8:28Speaker 4: you're going to play for this season.
- 8:30Speaker 1: Slaying with my buddy Jake and my older brother.
- 8:33Speaker 3: Jake, who do you think we'll win? Out of the
- 8:36Speaker 3: three of you? What do you think you'll shoe like
- 8:39Speaker 3: a ninety?
- 8:40Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 8:40Speaker 2: If I shot a ninety, that'd be great. I'd take
- 8:42Speaker 2: anything in the eighties for sure. Okay, you know, I
- 8:45Speaker 2: for the first round, depending on how it goes.
- 8:48Speaker 1: You know, if it's.
- 8:49Speaker 2: Going horrible, then I'll probably I honestly would just like
- 8:52Speaker 2: stop keeping score and I'll just count the good shots
- 8:55Speaker 2: I hit, you know, but I am hoping. Yeah, if
- 8:59Speaker 2: I break ninety, I would definitely take that. Who's gonna
- 9:01Speaker 2: win between me, Jake and my brother Jake?
- 9:05Speaker 3: Yeah, other Jake is your brother. That's wild too.
- 9:09Speaker 2: Well, it's just pick which ever won. You don't know
- 9:11Speaker 2: what Jake, I said.
- 9:12Speaker 3: No, you said you did that?
- 9:14Speaker 5: You did that?
- 9:15Speaker 1: I didn't do that.
- 9:17Speaker 5: I did it.
- 9:18Speaker 2: But out of the three of us, I'm by one
- 9:21Speaker 2: of this conference. No, I'm just kidding that.
- 9:23Speaker 4: The preemptive little victory for Gabe here on Big ninety
- 9:26Speaker 4: eight points.
- 9:27Speaker 2: I'll tell you what my little victory he'll be if
- 9:28Speaker 2: I shoot well, coming up on Monday, you.
- 9:34Speaker 4: Might be jealous. Mikey texted me and said that he's
- 9:38Speaker 4: on a bike ride right now because the weather's so nice.
- 9:41Speaker 1: Thanks for the invite.
- 9:43Speaker 3: You are literally at work.
- 9:44Speaker 1: Oh yeah, you're right, you're right.
- 9:50Speaker 2: We found something out yesterday that we wanted to bring
- 9:52Speaker 2: to Big ninety eight point seven here today. North Dakota
- 9:57Speaker 2: is the third ranked state, and that'd be out of fifty,
- 10:01Speaker 2: of course, where people are most likely to get married.
- 10:06Speaker 2: Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, we take a bronze medal and
- 10:10Speaker 2: most likely to get married here in North Dakota.
- 10:13Speaker 1: Idaho number one, you taught to North.
- 10:15Speaker 2: Dakota at three, Wyoming four, and Iowa at number five.
- 10:20Speaker 3: How funny.
- 10:21Speaker 4: I used to do radio in Idaho and you used
- 10:23Speaker 4: to do radio in Iowa. We're destined to be married people,
- 10:28Speaker 4: that's right.
- 10:29Speaker 2: And so I had asked the question on Facebook here,
- 10:32Speaker 2: why do you choose to remain single if you do,
- 10:36Speaker 2: you know, getting married is.
- 10:37Speaker 1: Not for everybody. Not even being in a.
- 10:39Speaker 2: Relationship isn't necessarily for everybody. They might not want to
- 10:43Speaker 2: or just don't feel like it at the time, or
- 10:44Speaker 2: whatever the reason is. Yeah, and I'm nosy. So I asked,
- 10:47Speaker 2: why do you choose to remain single? If you choose
- 10:49Speaker 2: that life? And Angie, all the comments did not disappointment.
- 10:53Speaker 3: I love a comments section.
- 10:55Speaker 1: It never do on.
- 10:56Speaker 2: Big ninety eight point seven, like, for example, Connie said,
- 10:59Speaker 2: I was a teenager when I was married. I was
- 11:02Speaker 2: fifty five at the time of divorce. I love my
- 11:04Speaker 2: little single bed with my pillows and blankies.
- 11:07Speaker 1: Uh, and that's why.
- 11:08Speaker 2: And she also, oh, sorry, she also said, and autonomy
- 11:11Speaker 2: over my own body.
- 11:12Speaker 1: That's why.
- 11:13Speaker 3: All right, I get that. I get that, girl, I
- 11:16Speaker 3: love that.
- 11:17Speaker 2: And then we have Anthony who said I don't want
- 11:20Speaker 2: to end up on dateline?
- 11:22Speaker 1: What not?
- 11:23Speaker 3: Exactly is he tempted to murder a wife? We need
- 11:27Speaker 3: more clarifications or the other way?
- 11:29Speaker 4: No, no, no, if you're on dateline, it's because If
- 11:33Speaker 4: you're on snapped, it's because your wife killed you. Oh,
- 11:36Speaker 4: is there a difference if you're on date line, it's
- 11:37Speaker 4: because you killed your wife.
- 11:39Speaker 1: Okay, so that's how that works.
- 11:40Speaker 3: We need more clarification, sir.
- 11:42Speaker 1: That's right.
- 11:42Speaker 2: And now Casey had kind of an interesting answer. Casey said,
- 11:46Speaker 2: living in a small town, the opportunity hasn't really presented itself.
- 11:50Speaker 1: That is kind of interesting.
- 11:51Speaker 2: If you grow up in a like a big city
- 11:54Speaker 2: or a bigger area, there are just more options.
- 11:57Speaker 1: Yeah, that's just mad.
- 11:59Speaker 4: That makes sense, especially like sometimes you go to school
- 12:03Speaker 4: your entire life with like everyone in.
- 12:06Speaker 1: Your town, you know, right, you just know everybody.
- 12:08Speaker 3: It's slim pickens.
- 12:09Speaker 2: Yeah, you've seen all the goofy, hurt, all the weird
- 12:12Speaker 2: from kindergarten to you know, by the time you're fifty.
- 12:16Speaker 3: I think it's sometimes you know too much.
- 12:18Speaker 1: That's right.
- 12:20Speaker 2: Ivan said this, and there were a lot of people
- 12:22Speaker 2: who did say this, So Ivan, I believe as a
- 12:26Speaker 2: guy he said this, and then there were a lot
- 12:28Speaker 2: of ladies who also added on to this as well.
- 12:30Speaker 2: But have you seen what the dating pool is like?
- 12:34Speaker 2: Thankfully I have not for a long time. I have
- 12:38Speaker 2: you know a couple buddies who are single or not
- 12:41Speaker 2: in a current relationship. I don't mean single is in
- 12:43Speaker 2: on their taxes. Yeah, I mean not with anybody period.
- 12:47Speaker 2: And they I hear stories of, you know, trying to
- 12:52Speaker 2: do the dating apps or trying to meet someone, and
- 12:54Speaker 2: it's strange.
- 12:55Speaker 1: They always ask me like, oh, how'd you.
- 12:56Speaker 2: Meet Corey And it's just the most you know, glitten
- 13:00Speaker 2: family answer.
- 13:00Speaker 4: Ever, Well that's the old fashioned way. We have a girlfriend,
- 13:06Speaker 4: MG Batty. Well her name is Megan, but we call
- 13:08Speaker 4: her MG Batty. She's single, and she said that the
- 13:11Speaker 4: dating pool is a drainage pond and that she had
- 13:16Speaker 4: to get off the apps because everyone is a catfish there.
- 13:21Speaker 4: She had talked to like a guy who had nice
- 13:23Speaker 4: pictures and everything was going fine, and then he sent her, like,
- 13:27Speaker 4: texted her a picture and it was him smiling with
- 13:31Speaker 4: his mouth open and he had no teeth.
- 13:33Speaker 2: Oh that'll do it. Yeah, sounds like the dating pool.
- 13:36Speaker 2: What did she called as a drainage pod? Fin are
- 13:39Speaker 2: like a septic tank. You know. We also had Yolanda
- 13:44Speaker 2: who said it's just easier not to have to put
- 13:47Speaker 2: time into someone when starting over. Plus I just want
- 13:50Speaker 2: to be a sugar baby laugh laugh, laugh jokes is
- 13:52Speaker 2: what she had.
- 13:53Speaker 3: Well how old is she? Because we might be at
- 13:55Speaker 3: the where you gotta be like a sugar teenager.
- 13:58Speaker 1: That's right.
- 13:59Speaker 2: And we do have a bryson on the phone. Bryce,
- 14:01Speaker 2: So why do you choose to remain single?
- 14:02Speaker 1: Man?
- 14:03Speaker 6: I don't like committing to someone for the rest of
- 14:05Speaker 6: my life.
- 14:05Speaker 2: What if it goes wrong?
- 14:06Speaker 6: You know, divorces are super messy and I do not want.
- 14:09Speaker 5: To go through that.
- 14:11Speaker 1: Yeah, that is true. I mean that is the thing,
- 14:13Speaker 1: you know, And people don't get married.
- 14:14Speaker 2: Maybe they're still with someone, but don't get married because
- 14:17Speaker 2: they just don't want to deal with a potential divorce.
- 14:20Speaker 1: If I take the pressure off, I guess I.
- 14:22Speaker 4: Knew someone who was with her dude forever and when
- 14:26Speaker 4: I asked if she wanted to get married, she said no,
- 14:29Speaker 4: because if I want to get away, I want to.
- 14:31Speaker 3: Be able to do that without paperwork.
- 14:33Speaker 2: Fair enough. Yeah, and what about Angela? We have Angela
- 14:36Speaker 2: on the phone. What about you?
- 14:37Speaker 4: Because I love peace, I can eat shreaded cheese over
- 14:40Speaker 4: the sink at eleven PM without somebody asking if I'm okay, Like,
- 14:44Speaker 4: this is okay.
- 14:45Speaker 5: This is freedom.
- 14:46Speaker 1: I I'll be honest.
- 14:47Speaker 2: If I saw Corey eating shredded cheese over the kitchen
- 14:50Speaker 2: sink at you know, two in the morning or something.
- 14:52Speaker 3: All right, she's pregnant, Gabe, that's right.
- 14:55Speaker 2: She gets any excuse. And then finally we had to
- 14:57Speaker 2: end with this one. Well, Julia, excuse me, Julia said,
- 15:03Speaker 2: I already have one dog. Don't see a reason to
- 15:06Speaker 2: have to.
- 15:12Speaker 5: This is am I the problem?
- 15:14Speaker 1: It's me hill On the problem.
- 15:18Speaker 5: It's me. We'll hear one side of the story and
- 15:21Speaker 5: with your help.
- 15:23Speaker 2: Decide if it's right or if maybe you're the problem.
- 15:27Speaker 5: That's right, I am the problem on Big ninety eight
- 15:31Speaker 5: point seven.
- 15:33Speaker 4: Hi, Gabe, Hi Angie, I'm lionel. Am I the problem
- 15:37Speaker 4: if I get a motorcycle.
- 15:39Speaker 3: Just to meet girls.
- 15:42Speaker 4: The other day at work, one of my co workers
- 15:45Speaker 4: was going on and on about how dudes with motorcycles
- 15:49Speaker 4: are so hot ever since sons of anarchy, Okay, I
- 15:53Speaker 4: agree with that, And even if the guy isn't super hot,
- 15:56Speaker 4: having a motorcycle makes them hotter.
- 15:59Speaker 3: Bad boy energy, oh.
- 16:00Speaker 4: Yeah, without necessarily being a bad boy. For real, I'm
- 16:04Speaker 4: chronically single and need an edge. So is this a
- 16:07Speaker 4: good idea? Maybe the ladies listening to the show can
- 16:11Speaker 4: give their two cents.
- 16:14Speaker 3: The second I.
- 16:14Speaker 4: Read bad Boy, I felt like, Gabe, you would be in.
- 16:19Speaker 3: This man's corner.
- 16:21Speaker 4: So I'm gonna let you first give your opinion on this,
- 16:26Speaker 4: but ladies call us seven oh one two eight ozho
- 16:29Speaker 4: one nine eight seven. We also have this up on
- 16:31Speaker 4: the Big ninety eight point seven Facebook page. Is Linel
- 16:34Speaker 4: a problem if he gets a motorcycle just to meet
- 16:37Speaker 4: girl and ladies?
- 16:38Speaker 1: I'm calling you out here this morning. Don't lie either.
- 16:41Speaker 2: Okay, it's totally fine to say, you know what, Yeah,
- 16:43Speaker 2: it is kind of hot when a dude has a motorcycle. No,
- 16:46Speaker 2: I don't want to hear like, oh, he's got to
- 16:47Speaker 2: be a nice guy and he's gotta treat me.
- 16:49Speaker 1: Right and blah blah blah.
- 16:50Speaker 2: We are talking something that is super superficial here right now.
- 16:54Speaker 2: So do not lie to me on Big ninety eight
- 16:56Speaker 2: point seven this morning.
- 16:57Speaker 5: I am telling you.
- 16:58Speaker 2: Right now, Lionel, as an honorary and new member of
- 17:00Speaker 2: the Bad Boys Club. Ow you are not but continued
- 17:05Speaker 2: one hundred percent. Go get that motorcycle. If you can
- 17:09Speaker 2: afford it, You grab that thing. I'll tell you right now, Lionel,
- 17:11Speaker 2: you ain't ever seen a lonely dude in a Porsche.
- 17:14Speaker 2: You have never seen a lonely dude rolling around on
- 17:17Speaker 2: a jet ski. I am telling you right now, go
- 17:20Speaker 2: grab that Harley and hit the open road. And here's
- 17:23Speaker 2: what I'll also add, maybe an added benefit. You know what,
- 17:26Speaker 2: you might find a group of people to ride around
- 17:28Speaker 2: on that motorcycle with.
- 17:29Speaker 1: This might lead to somebody some new friendships.
- 17:32Speaker 3: No motorcycle community, that's what.
- 17:33Speaker 2: I'm saying, a motorcycle community. I can't even say that.
- 17:36Speaker 1: I'll laughing.
- 17:37Speaker 2: You might join the motorcycle community. Who knows all the
- 17:40Speaker 2: fun adventures you might be able to take. This is
- 17:42Speaker 2: more than just an opportunity to meet chicks. Okay, you
- 17:46Speaker 2: might get to go to Sturgis or something. You might
- 17:49Speaker 2: really get involved in it and learn how to maintain it.
- 17:52Speaker 1: Get your hands under the engine. I don't know what
- 17:55Speaker 1: I know.
- 17:55Speaker 2: In like cars, they say under the hood, yeah, you know,
- 17:58Speaker 2: get your hands dirty, learn the ins and outs.
- 18:00Speaker 1: I built a motorcycle once. You might not know this
- 18:03Speaker 1: about me.
- 18:03Speaker 2: I built an old nineteen seventy two Honda CB motorcycle
- 18:08Speaker 2: strictly by using YouTube. It was during the middle of
- 18:12Speaker 2: COVID when we all were feeling a little weird and
- 18:14Speaker 2: needed something to do, and I would go to work
- 18:16Speaker 2: talk on the radio go home and you couldn't do
- 18:18Speaker 2: anything right. Yeah, and I was like, I need to
- 18:20Speaker 2: do something. I'm gonna do something with my hands. I'm
- 18:22Speaker 2: trying to build something. Yeah, So I decided to start
- 18:25Speaker 2: with a motorcycle instead of like a workbitch.
- 18:28Speaker 1: But I got it done.
- 18:30Speaker 2: I tried and tried and failed and tried and tried
- 18:32Speaker 2: and failed and tried and tried again, and then eventually
- 18:34Speaker 2: it started running and it was great. And now my
- 18:36Speaker 2: buddy Atto has it to this day. So long story short.
- 18:39Speaker 2: If meat and chicks is the goal, that's great. Think
- 18:43Speaker 2: of all the other opportunities it could bring you, Lionel,
- 18:45Speaker 2: If you can afford that motorcycle, you get it.
- 18:47Speaker 1: And I hope you get a battie on the beck.
- 18:50Speaker 3: Absolutely not, Lionel.
- 18:53Speaker 4: I think that you are a problem if you're getting
- 18:55Speaker 4: a motorcycle just to meet girls, because you're gonna come
- 18:59Speaker 4: off so disingenuous. You cannot unless I hate I don't
- 19:04Speaker 4: know how to even put this. There's like a natural progression,
- 19:08Speaker 4: like think about people that you went to high school
- 19:10Speaker 4: with or something, and think of who you think, oh, yeah,
- 19:14Speaker 4: it would make sense if they got a motorcycle. And
- 19:16Speaker 4: then there are people who it's like, if they got
- 19:18Speaker 4: a motorcycle, that's weird and that feels fake af like
- 19:21Speaker 4: there has to be already at your core an X
- 19:27Speaker 4: factor about you somewhere it makes sense that you would
- 19:34Speaker 4: get a motorcycle. So if the first time you've ever
- 19:37Speaker 4: thought about getting one is specifically because you're trying to
- 19:40Speaker 4: meet girls, then you are not naturally a motorcycle guy.
- 19:44Speaker 3: And even if you do meet a girl who's like, oh,
- 19:47Speaker 3: so you have a motorcycle.
- 19:50Speaker 4: Even if you do meet her, it will be quickly
- 19:54Speaker 4: apparent that line on meta, it's not a really a motorcycle.
- 20:00Speaker 3: That's what I picture.
- 20:01Speaker 4: A hot girl, Oh okay who meets a guy in
- 20:03Speaker 4: the motorcycle sounds like okay.
- 20:05Speaker 3: But I think it will be a parent that like, no,
- 20:08Speaker 3: you're a fraud. You're a fraud.
- 20:10Speaker 4: And I think in the motorcycle community, correct me if
- 20:14Speaker 4: I'm wrong, they don't like frauds. You have to like
- 20:17Speaker 4: really be in it, be in the lifestyle. I think
- 20:20Speaker 4: getting a motorcycle just to meet girls like that comes
- 20:23Speaker 4: off so disingenuous, and I think it's a bad move.
- 20:26Speaker 2: Lionel, you can play the part, okay, trust me, you
- 20:28Speaker 2: can learn to be in the motorcycle community. I will
- 20:31Speaker 2: also add, do not base anything on sons of anarchy.
- 20:35Speaker 2: I'll tell you right now because Lionel, I'm sorry, you
- 20:37Speaker 2: do not look like Charlie Hunum. That is one of
- 20:39Speaker 2: the best looking humans on don't.
- 20:41Speaker 3: Even know what this guy looks like.
- 20:44Speaker 2: Connecting, I know it don't look like Charliehunham if he
- 20:47Speaker 2: needs help with the ladies, Okay, So Lionel, get yourself
- 20:50Speaker 2: that motorcycle, no questions asked. As long as you can
- 20:53Speaker 2: afford it and learn to safely ride it, you go
- 20:55Speaker 2: for it.
- 20:56Speaker 1: Man, what do you think?
- 20:58Speaker 4: Let us know seven on one two eight h one
- 21:00Speaker 4: nine eight seven or on the Facebook page ladies specifically,
- 21:03Speaker 4: because he asked, is this.
- 21:05Speaker 3: A good move for him?
- 21:07Speaker 5: Nine?
- 21:07Speaker 2: Let us know your opinion and do not lie seven
- 21:10Speaker 2: oh one two eight zero one seven nine.
- 21:18Speaker 1: I'm on the problem and good morning. Who is this?
- 21:22Speaker 6: Hi?
- 21:22Speaker 5: This is Chris, Chris.
- 21:23Speaker 1: How you doing man? Are you? Are you in the
- 21:25Speaker 1: motorcycle community?
- 21:26Speaker 2: Chris?
- 21:26Speaker 5: Oh?
- 21:26Speaker 6: Yeah, I've been in the bike community for a long time.
- 21:29Speaker 4: And uh.
- 21:29Speaker 6: There was a saying that a lot of bikers came
- 21:32Speaker 6: up with when it comes to women in.
- 21:34Speaker 4: Bikes, okay.
- 21:35Speaker 6: And there's two kinds of women, those that know that
- 21:38Speaker 6: they like motorcycles and those that they don't like motorcycles yet.
- 21:42Speaker 2: See what I'm saying, Grant, you're telling Line to get
- 21:45Speaker 2: himself a bike, aren't you? I am.
- 21:47Speaker 6: And as far as the other part about like, well,
- 21:48Speaker 6: the bike community may not like him because he wants whatever.
- 21:51Speaker 6: I mean, as soon as he starts riding and finding
- 21:54Speaker 6: some of those people, all those people are like, oh
- 21:56Speaker 6: you got a bike? Great? How long have you had it?
- 21:58Speaker 2: A week?
- 21:58Speaker 5: Cool?
- 21:59Speaker 1: Let's go ride?
- 22:00Speaker 5: All love that.
- 22:01Speaker 4: And I can't argue with a member of the bike community.
- 22:05Speaker 1: So fine, fine, I'm glad we heard from you here today.
- 22:09Speaker 2: Chris. Can you also if you would like to, you
- 22:12Speaker 2: don't have to answer this. Give us a little insight.
- 22:14Speaker 2: How has the bike helped you out? Or maybe it hasn't.
- 22:17Speaker 6: With the ladies, It's not like I every went looking
- 22:19Speaker 6: for it, but I mean all the time they would
- 22:23Speaker 6: just be like, oh is that your bike? Oh yeah,
- 22:25Speaker 6: Oh I like that.
- 22:25Speaker 5: That looks nice at a boy?
- 22:28Speaker 1: Hie had a boy?
- 22:30Speaker 5: Chris?
- 22:30Speaker 3: All right, I respect it.
- 22:32Speaker 2: Chris, thank you so much for calling us here today.
- 22:34Speaker 2: If you're just tuning in a very fun Am I
- 22:36Speaker 2: the problem today? I think at the at the heart
- 22:39Speaker 2: of it, it's very lighthearted, but it is. It is
- 22:41Speaker 2: an interesting question. Our motorcycles hot?
- 22:44Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 22:44Speaker 3: Lionel is chronically single.
- 22:46Speaker 4: He had a coworker that said, hey, guys with motorcycles
- 22:50Speaker 4: are hot, especially ever since San's Suns of anarchy, and
- 22:53Speaker 4: so he wanted to know, am I problem if I
- 22:56Speaker 4: get a motorcycle just to meet the ladies?
- 22:58Speaker 3: I thought that.
- 23:00Speaker 4: Would be very disingenuous, But a member of the bike
- 23:03Speaker 4: community has proven me wrong.
- 23:05Speaker 2: And I have to give a big round of applause
- 23:08Speaker 2: to some of the ladies here on Big ninety eight
- 23:10Speaker 2: point seven's Facebook page and in our comments.
- 23:13Speaker 1: I asked you to not lie.
- 23:15Speaker 2: This is a very superficial question. Our motorcycle's hot? Yeah, okay,
- 23:20Speaker 2: I don't care if he's a nice guy and treats
- 23:23Speaker 2: you well. Okay, that should go without saying. We just
- 23:26Speaker 2: wanted point blank period. You see a dude rolling down
- 23:30Speaker 2: the street on his Harley and you're like, oh, yeah,
- 23:32Speaker 2: that's kind of bad ace, that's kind of hot, And
- 23:35Speaker 2: you know what, the ladies did not disappoint. I give
- 23:37Speaker 2: credit where credit is due. There are a lot of
- 23:39Speaker 2: not liars on our text today.
- 23:41Speaker 3: I love that, Amanda texted us.
- 23:43Speaker 4: She said, motorcycle boys are definitely attractive. My ex had
- 23:47Speaker 4: a motorcycle and I loved seeing him in his helmet
- 23:50Speaker 4: on his bike. We broke up, so I decided to
- 23:53Speaker 4: learn to ride myself. It's actually super fun, and it's
- 23:57Speaker 4: fun when people are checking you out when you're riding,
- 23:59Speaker 4: adding to say, sure, get the motorcycle. It might start
- 24:03Speaker 4: as a way to pick up girls, and it'll work
- 24:05Speaker 4: for some. But like Gabe said, and I know you'll
- 24:09Speaker 4: love this, he might make some friends and find out
- 24:11Speaker 4: that he actually really likes ridings.
- 24:14Speaker 1: Yeah, it's like a part a part be here.
- 24:16Speaker 5: You know what.
- 24:16Speaker 3: I'm not above admitting when I'm wrong.
- 24:19Speaker 4: Okay, so I'll do a little one eighty here and fine, Linel,
- 24:23Speaker 4: you know what, do what your little heart desires and
- 24:26Speaker 4: get that motorcycle. Maybe you'll pick up some chicks, maybe
- 24:29Speaker 4: you'll pick up some friends along the way.
- 24:31Speaker 2: Allie added in, motorcycle is hot, and it adds the
- 24:35Speaker 2: responsibility of getting license and all the other little tasks
- 24:38Speaker 2: that come with maintenance. Also, you should be nice guy,
- 24:42Speaker 2: but yes, it's hot. See that is a not liar,
- 24:44Speaker 2: right there. I appreciate you this morning.
- 24:47Speaker 1: Alli.
- 24:47Speaker 2: I also do like what Nick said. He just said,
- 24:50Speaker 2: preach Gabe.
- 24:52Speaker 3: I love that.
- 24:53Speaker 4: But can we all agree that Gabe is not a
- 24:56Speaker 4: bad bully.
- 24:57Speaker 2: That is not even close to true. Okay, you know
- 25:00Speaker 2: what this reminds me of here. This reminds me exactly
- 25:03Speaker 2: if you know, some people are like, oh, I'm gonna
- 25:04Speaker 2: learn guitar to pick up chicks. Yeah, same thing, all right,
- 25:08Speaker 2: You learn guitar pick up chicks, and then you find
- 25:10Speaker 2: out you really like it. It takes a lot of practice,
- 25:12Speaker 2: it takes a lot of dedication, and you enjoy it
- 25:14Speaker 2: and you do it your whole life. And then the
- 25:15Speaker 2: same thing with the motorcycle. You're like, hey, I really
- 25:17Speaker 2: like this. It's kind of fun maintaining it, learning how
- 25:19Speaker 2: it works. It's kind of fun riding around to different
- 25:21Speaker 2: parts of the country. I met a bunch of new
- 25:23Speaker 2: friends on the fifty second Avenue Don's car Wash gas station.
- 25:26Speaker 2: There are always the way home. That's exactly right. So, Lionel,
- 25:33Speaker 2: that could be you. Okay, you get that bike if
- 25:35Speaker 2: you can afford it and safely learn how to ride it.
- 25:40Speaker 5: I need some good starting off the day with something good.
- 25:45Speaker 5: This is Gabe's good news on Big ninety eight point seven.
- 25:50Speaker 2: This is a wonderful story about wes Fargo's Lori Peterson,
- 25:53Speaker 2: who's proving style can be about a lot more than
- 25:57Speaker 2: just clothes. After battling breast can Sir Peterson says the
- 26:01Speaker 2: experience changed how she saw herself and helped realize she
- 26:05Speaker 2: wanted to help other women feel confident and authentic again.
- 26:08Speaker 2: She launched a business called The Style Activator, where she
- 26:12Speaker 2: helps clients refresh their wardrobes, build outfits from clothes they
- 26:16Speaker 2: already own, and rediscover their personal styre.
- 26:20Speaker 1: Style.
- 26:21Speaker 2: Peterson says many women struggle with confidence and body image,
- 26:24Speaker 2: so her goal is to create a positive, judgment free
- 26:27Speaker 2: space where people can feel comfortable just being themselves. She says,
- 26:30Speaker 2: when someone finally feels good in what they're wearing, they
- 26:33Speaker 2: stand a little taller, smile a little bigger, and starts
- 26:35Speaker 2: showing up more confident in everyday life. A reminder today
- 26:40Speaker 2: that sometimes little confidence boost can come from the most
- 26:44Speaker 2: unexpected place, even if it's your closet.
- 26:47Speaker 1: So way to go, Laurie, that is wonderful.
- 26:50Speaker 3: I one hundred percent agree with this, So I need
- 26:52Speaker 3: to look at this. It's an app.
- 26:54Speaker 2: It's a business called the Style Activator.
- 26:57Speaker 3: Okay, I need to look this up because yeah, I
- 26:59Speaker 3: could use a confidence. I'll say that right now.
- 27:01Speaker 2: And now's another just a big, great reminder for you.
- 27:04Speaker 2: Obviously check out the Style Activator with Lori if that's
- 27:07Speaker 2: something you're interested in. But also don't forget to text
- 27:09Speaker 2: in those keywords for the U the big glow up.
- 27:12Speaker 2: I bet yeah, that could be a lot of fun.
- 27:14Speaker 2: Give you a little boost, give you a little confidence,
- 27:16Speaker 2: anything to make a stand tall or smile bigger.
- 27:18Speaker 1: As Laurie said, I think is wonderful.
- 27:20Speaker 3: Hell yes to Well next, that's right.
- 27:22Speaker 2: And you know my favorite quote. If you don't here,
- 27:24Speaker 2: it is broken crans. They still color and the world
- 27:27Speaker 2: is full of nice people. If you can't find one,
- 27:29Speaker 2: you gotta be one.
