- 0:12Speaker 1: It's I Do Part two and I'm back on the
- 0:15Speaker 1: Pond once again, and it is one of your favorite
- 0:19Speaker 1: golden shows that you don't recognize my voice, it's Susan Oles.
- 0:23Speaker 1: And today it's going to be a really fun episode
- 0:26Speaker 1: because I have one of my dearest Bachelor Nation friends here,
- 0:31Speaker 1: Teresa Iss Teresa in the house. Hi, Hi, it's so
- 0:37Speaker 1: good to see. I know, I know you can tell
- 0:41Speaker 1: them how I.
- 0:42Speaker 2: Guess a few weeks ago, maybe three weeks ago, he
- 0:44Speaker 2: went on June twenty first that you got he's your house,
- 0:48Speaker 2: and I felt like, well, it's all like she lives
- 0:51Speaker 2: here forever.
- 0:51Speaker 3: You were so good, it was all set up for you.
- 0:55Speaker 3: Jersey's like part of me too.
- 0:57Speaker 1: But I kept saying, Teresa, I love North Jersey and
- 1:01Speaker 1: all your friends and every This isn't North Jersey.
- 1:04Speaker 3: It was Central Jersey, and say, oh my god, so
- 1:07Speaker 3: she considers this North Jersey. No, it's Central Jersey. Such
- 1:12Speaker 3: a good time. We did.
- 1:14Speaker 1: We ate well, we drank well, we shopped well, and
- 1:17Speaker 1: I even got her to go on the beach. However,
- 1:19Speaker 1: she wore long sleeves and covers. But I don't want
- 1:23Speaker 1: to contend.
- 1:24Speaker 2: No, Honestly, I had so many things planned for you.
- 1:26Speaker 2: I was going to take take you to about nine
- 1:29Speaker 2: different beach towns and you saw these boutiques and you said,
- 1:32Speaker 2: that's it, that's all I want to do.
- 1:33Speaker 1: We saw Hamy, we saw four, didn't we It was
- 1:37Speaker 1: at least four beach so far. Yeah, that's funny. And
- 1:41Speaker 1: I guess what. I had such a good time. You
- 1:43Speaker 1: have a lovely home, great friend. And I would come
- 1:47Speaker 1: back so we could see the other five.
- 1:49Speaker 3: It's awesome. Okay, I'm ready.
- 1:51Speaker 1: All right, So today on this podcast I do part two.
- 1:54Speaker 1: It's all about love and loss and finding love again.
- 1:59Speaker 1: So today I thought it would be fun to dive
- 2:01Speaker 1: into some topics that are a reality for us Golden's.
- 2:06Speaker 3: And obviously we got them.
- 2:08Speaker 1: Something's happening in the bachelor world that we've got to
- 2:11Speaker 1: talk about too, don't you think.
- 2:13Speaker 3: Yeah, I think that I know.
- 2:16Speaker 1: Okay, So we gave him a little background of where
- 2:18Speaker 1: we've been at for you.
- 2:20Speaker 3: You have lost a husband. You want to share just
- 2:22Speaker 3: to update everybody. Yeah, sure.
- 2:25Speaker 2: So it's really hard to believe that it will be
- 2:28Speaker 2: eleven years. I'm Veterans Day this year that my husband
- 2:31Speaker 2: passed away.
- 2:32Speaker 1: So now.
- 2:35Speaker 2: I was sixty one when he died. I'm about to
- 2:38Speaker 2: be seventy two.
- 2:40Speaker 3: It's very, very hard to believe.
- 2:43Speaker 2: When my husband first passed away, I don't know if
- 2:45Speaker 2: it's the reaction of every woman, but I really thought
- 2:49Speaker 2: it was the end.
- 2:50Speaker 3: I said, I will never have sex again, I will
- 2:52Speaker 3: never fall in love again, I'll never be with a
- 2:54Speaker 3: man again. And that was the way it was.
- 2:57Speaker 2: I cried for like fourteen months and then found one
- 3:00Speaker 2: day I woke up and I said to my daughter,
- 3:02Speaker 2: that's it. I just want to go out to dinner
- 3:04Speaker 2: with a man. And she put me on Match and
- 3:07Speaker 2: the rest is history. So I've got a lot of
- 3:09Speaker 2: I had a down path how to get on Match,
- 3:12Speaker 2: how to do that?
- 3:13Speaker 1: And sometimes we hate Match, you know, yeah, yeah, And
- 3:17Speaker 1: everybody knows that I was married and had three children,
- 3:21Speaker 1: six great grandchildren, and we're still friends, but we are divorced.
- 3:25Speaker 1: And I did find love just this year. It's just
- 3:28Speaker 1: been five months and it's his first time in the
- 3:32Speaker 1: United States. So so many people online on social media
- 3:36Speaker 1: have comments and beautiful ones, but you know, Teresa had
- 3:40Speaker 1: some negativity out there. He just wants a green card
- 3:44Speaker 1: and he's using you for your money. I wish I
- 3:47Speaker 1: had all that money.
- 3:47Speaker 4: No, no, no, it's about love. It's about love. It's
- 3:52Speaker 4: an important thing in the world. I mean, how wonderful
- 3:55Speaker 4: for you that you found love. I'm really so thrilled
- 3:58Speaker 4: and so happy for you, Susan.
- 4:00Speaker 1: I wanted for everybody. Yeah, for everybody. So what approached now,
- 4:05Speaker 1: especially after the show that we used to do back
- 4:09Speaker 1: in the day when we were young you met people
- 4:11Speaker 1: out or somebody introduced you, right, yeah, and then we
- 4:15Speaker 1: tried the dating apps after we had our lives with
- 4:18Speaker 1: kids and husbands and such. And now when we first
- 4:24Speaker 1: got off the show, were you jumping back on No?
- 4:28Speaker 2: I wasn't at all, you know, I did. I jump
- 4:30Speaker 2: back into my life because I really do have a
- 4:33Speaker 2: beautiful life. I mean, I've got a beautiful family. I
- 4:36Speaker 2: have seven grandsons.
- 4:38Speaker 3: I am more content now than I've ever been. I mean,
- 4:42Speaker 3: the show taught me so much.
- 4:44Speaker 2: It was the most incredible, wonderful experience. But it kind
- 4:47Speaker 2: of really did teach me to be happier.
- 4:50Speaker 3: With what I have. And it's not I really want love.
- 4:54Speaker 3: I really want to be in love. I think it's
- 4:56Speaker 3: the most wonderful feeling in the world.
- 4:58Speaker 2: I am open to it floor that, But it's not
- 5:01Speaker 2: like I'm desperate to.
- 5:03Speaker 3: Do that, right, You're fine by your.
- 5:05Speaker 2: Yes, yeah, and you know would say you know your
- 5:08Speaker 2: Thank goodness, you don't have to go on dating apps.
- 5:10Speaker 3: But even if you.
- 5:11Speaker 2: Go on a dating app, I'm seventy two. There is
- 5:14Speaker 2: no man at the age of seventy two.
- 5:17Speaker 3: You gotta go on the re search criteria a seventy
- 5:20Speaker 3: two year old woman. It just doesn't happen. They gotta
- 5:23Speaker 3: go younger.
- 5:25Speaker 2: Yes, it's the way of the world. So I'm probably
- 5:28Speaker 2: okay with a ninety year old.
- 5:30Speaker 1: And you know, it's funny the dating trend right now.
- 5:33Speaker 1: I mean, think about it. Everybody splits the bill, or
- 5:36Speaker 1: they don't call, they only text. Ohor how about this
- 5:39Speaker 1: one being ghosted? Have you been I was ghosted?
- 5:44Speaker 3: No, I actually have not been disgusted. I haven't. But
- 5:50Speaker 3: that's not nice. That's so not nice to do. It's
- 5:53Speaker 3: a terrible thing. I was like, what are you serious?
- 5:56Speaker 3: You know what it is.
- 5:57Speaker 2: It's just like the next day after a date. I
- 5:59Speaker 2: guess they aren't brave enough to say I don't think.
- 6:02Speaker 3: That we are a good fit. So you have to
- 6:04Speaker 3: be able to see that and be an adult.
- 6:07Speaker 1: Don't you think it's easy to do it by text?
- 6:10Speaker 1: I mean, yes, it's just a text. You don't even
- 6:13Speaker 1: have to look at them.
- 6:14Speaker 3: Yeah, just a text. Just say it, just say I'm sorry.
- 6:16Speaker 2: I had a wonderful time, but I just don't think
- 6:19Speaker 2: we're the right person for each other.
- 6:21Speaker 3: That's it. That's all you have to do. So ghosting
- 6:23Speaker 3: it is not nice.
- 6:24Speaker 1: Exactly when I got stood up, I called it back
- 6:28Speaker 1: in the day. It was being stood up and I
- 6:30Speaker 1: got ghosted. And I went to this place and I
- 6:32Speaker 1: sat at the bar. I had a glass of wine
- 6:34Speaker 1: and I'm never really early.
- 6:38Speaker 3: That's all I'm going to say.
- 6:41Speaker 1: And there was this lovely couple sitting next to me,
- 6:44Speaker 1: and I had a full glass of wine. I don't
- 6:46Speaker 1: drink that fast. And I'm just sitting there, sitting there,
- 6:50Speaker 1: and they're looking at me, and I finally shared with them,
- 6:53Speaker 1: well you had to hurt hear them. The husband was like,
- 6:55Speaker 1: if he does show up, I'm going to pull the
- 6:57Speaker 1: chair when he goes to siting now.
- 7:00Speaker 3: And the woman's I said.
- 7:02Speaker 1: To the woman, what do you think one glass of
- 7:04Speaker 1: wine and go or do I order a second? And
- 7:06Speaker 1: she goes wow, I said no, that wasn't really a question.
- 7:09Speaker 3: A lot of ordering a second.
- 7:14Speaker 1: I mean, it hasn't happened to you, right, No.
- 7:17Speaker 2: It hasn't. Well, thankfully it hasn't. No, But but what
- 7:20Speaker 2: would happen? I will tell you that every time I
- 7:23Speaker 2: would go out to a data I had it down
- 7:25Speaker 2: to a science. I knew how how many times you
- 7:28Speaker 2: should text each other, and then when it moves to
- 7:31Speaker 2: a phone call, and how many phone calls until you
- 7:33Speaker 2: finally decided to meet.
- 7:34Speaker 3: And then there would be times when right away.
- 7:36Speaker 1: You would know that it wasn't working with in the
- 7:38Speaker 1: first two minutes, right, But I would.
- 7:40Speaker 2: Go there with such a great attitude, like I'm going
- 7:43Speaker 2: to have a great time.
- 7:44Speaker 3: This person went out of their way to meet me,
- 7:46Speaker 3: so let's just have fun. And I would always.
- 7:48Speaker 2: Offer to split the bill, and then if it didn't
- 7:50Speaker 2: work out, then you just tell them the.
- 7:52Speaker 1: Next day, so you know, it's funny, I do as
- 7:55Speaker 1: well offer you with the bill, and many many have said, oh,
- 8:01Speaker 1: thank you very much, and I will I know I'll.
- 8:04Speaker 3: Never see them again.
- 8:05Speaker 1: The first date I shared a deer not on your life,
- 8:08Speaker 1: you know, thank you.
- 8:09Speaker 3: It was very nice of you to offer. But yeah,
- 8:12Speaker 3: it's a gentleman.
- 8:13Speaker 1: But I also get that so many people are dating
- 8:16Speaker 1: so much on dating apps right that they can't afford
- 8:20Speaker 1: to meet three people.
- 8:21Speaker 3: In a week.
- 8:22Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, you're right, that's true, Sarah. Men would
- 8:26Speaker 2: just say to me, no, my dad would never let
- 8:29Speaker 2: me live it down, so they would they would say that.
- 8:33Speaker 2: And you know, I've made friends, I've stayed friends with
- 8:35Speaker 2: some of these people.
- 8:35Speaker 3: So absolutely, it's all good.
- 8:38Speaker 1: Have you heard of silver divorce or a gray divorce?
- 8:43Speaker 3: By chance? No, I don't know what that is, no idea.
- 8:47Speaker 1: It's when people fifty plus get divorced after a very
- 8:51Speaker 1: long term marriage. Why do you think people are divorcing
- 8:56Speaker 1: so much later in life?
- 8:57Speaker 3: And do you know anyone?
- 8:59Speaker 2: I really do think it's because, and I didn't think
- 9:02Speaker 2: of this before. Maybe they wait until their children are
- 9:04Speaker 2: gone and out of the house. Maybe there were underlying
- 9:08Speaker 2: problems the entire time. And then you know, with women,
- 9:12Speaker 2: it takes them a long time to leave, and they
- 9:15Speaker 2: build it up and build it up and build it up,
- 9:17Speaker 2: and then all of a sudden, and I heard this
- 9:19Speaker 2: from so many men.
- 9:20Speaker 3: They'd say to me, Oh my god, I was blindsided.
- 9:23Speaker 2: I had no idea about my wife felt that way,
- 9:25Speaker 2: and all of a sudden, she just she left me.
- 9:28Speaker 2: But with a woman, it's it takes a long time
- 9:30Speaker 2: to get there, but when she gets there, it's the end.
- 9:32Speaker 3: It's over. There's no turning back.
- 9:35Speaker 1: You hit the nail right on the head. I mean,
- 9:37Speaker 1: I did it. I waited till my kids were out
- 9:38Speaker 1: of high school, and they and they even said to me, Mom,
- 9:41Speaker 1: why did you wait so long. We weren't people that
- 9:44Speaker 1: argued or fought or anything. We just kind of lived separately.
- 9:48Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 9:49Speaker 1: Yeah, And to know anyone who's done this, I have
- 9:52Speaker 1: to say yes. And in my experience the people that
- 9:56Speaker 1: I know, one of the partners were gay.
- 9:59Speaker 3: Wow, oh yeah, that happens.
- 10:01Speaker 1: It was a healthy marriage, yes, and there was no
- 10:05Speaker 1: bad points, but it was a man. It was actually
- 10:08Speaker 1: two and they came out later in life. And it's sad.
- 10:13Speaker 3: But and that is sad.
- 10:14Speaker 4: Yeah, that's still said that they have to repress that
- 10:17Speaker 4: the entire marriage.
- 10:18Speaker 3: And that's that. You just hit on another point.
- 10:20Speaker 2: That's really great that people grow differently, and they grow
- 10:24Speaker 2: and they have different goals in life and different passions,
- 10:27Speaker 2: and so you start growing apart, and it's really hard
- 10:30Speaker 2: to be married it's hard to be married for a
- 10:32Speaker 2: really long time.
- 10:33Speaker 1: It's no one told me it was the hardest job
- 10:36Speaker 1: you were ever going to have.
- 10:38Speaker 3: Absolutely, like you go to you can't.
- 10:41Speaker 2: What happens is you start taking that person for granted,
- 10:44Speaker 2: and instead what you have to do is look at
- 10:47Speaker 2: them with new eyes every day and like, this is
- 10:50Speaker 2: why you chose this person.
- 10:52Speaker 1: And re event that the exciting times. I mean, I'm
- 10:55Speaker 1: sure things go stale. It was just raising kids and
- 10:58Speaker 1: things like that. A lot happens then about not doing
- 11:03Speaker 1: each other, you know, in any favors. Yeah, because you
- 11:06Speaker 1: were so occupied with your raising your children, keeping your housekeeping,
- 11:10Speaker 1: your career. But today now I don't know how you feel,
- 11:13Speaker 1: but it's the best time to date or fall in
- 11:17Speaker 1: love because I don't have to worry about all that.
- 11:20Speaker 1: You focus on one another exactly.
- 11:22Speaker 2: And I think that was a misconception that younger people
- 11:25Speaker 2: had about us, that life was over. But we, all
- 11:29Speaker 2: of us on the show and so many more women
- 11:31Speaker 2: in this world, are so full of life and energy
- 11:35Speaker 2: and desire and passion, and we want to do things
- 11:38Speaker 2: and we've got we feel like, we really do feel
- 11:40Speaker 2: like there's so much life left to live, So we're
- 11:43Speaker 2: forced to be reckoned with and these young people should
- 11:46Speaker 2: feel so inspired by that and not fear of getting
- 11:49Speaker 2: old because of who we.
- 11:51Speaker 1: Are exactly, and there's a perfect example that their life
- 11:55Speaker 1: is full of possibilities and it's not over. One of
- 11:58Speaker 1: my favorite lines was, this is my last chapter in life,
- 12:03Speaker 1: and I hope it's the longest chapter. Yeah, yeah, being said,
- 12:07Speaker 1: I feel so much differently about who I am.
- 12:10Speaker 3: Do you know what I mean?
- 12:11Speaker 1: You have to love yourself, and a lot of the
- 12:13Speaker 1: young people believe they love themselves, but they're not there.
- 12:18Speaker 3: Yeah, And you.
- 12:19Speaker 2: Know at this point, if you don't know who you are,
- 12:21Speaker 2: you really know who you are and you know what's
- 12:24Speaker 2: important in your life. So you do love yourself and
- 12:28Speaker 2: you feel That's why I was saying before that I
- 12:29Speaker 2: feel more at peace with myself and Eve exactly right.
- 12:32Speaker 3: And it's so great that you've found Frederica.
- 12:35Speaker 1: Oh yes it is. He met my children and my
- 12:39Speaker 1: little granddaughter four years old. We were all in the
- 12:42Speaker 1: pool at one point and she looks over and she goes, me, me,
- 12:45Speaker 1: you like him. I said, that's Frederic. Yes, I know,
- 12:48Speaker 1: she said. I said, he loves me me. She said,
- 12:50Speaker 1: he does. I said, Amimi loves him. She said you do?
- 12:55Speaker 1: I said yes, She goes okay and jumped right into
- 12:57Speaker 1: his arms.
- 12:58Speaker 3: That was it. So that is so cute. And my
- 13:04Speaker 3: boys they you know, shook his hand. How you doing?
- 13:07Speaker 1: They can't understand the accent. My sisters really dry.
- 13:10Speaker 3: But how long is he staying? That's really nice.
- 13:14Speaker 1: He'll he'll be here two weeks. But we have been
- 13:16Speaker 1: on the go.
- 13:17Speaker 3: On the good good, that's awesome.
- 13:21Speaker 1: All right, we're gonna do a little. I just want
- 13:23Speaker 1: your point on the sale. Woman as listening to this
- 13:26Speaker 1: podcast right now. She lost her husband of twenty five years,
- 13:30Speaker 1: but now it's been three years and she's ready to
- 13:33Speaker 1: start dating again. What do we think should be the
- 13:37Speaker 1: first place she should start.
- 13:39Speaker 2: Well, she should tell everyone in her life that she's
- 13:43Speaker 2: ready and she's looking for someone, and be you know,
- 13:46Speaker 2: be specific.
- 13:47Speaker 3: Just tell everybody I'm looking for someone. Do you know anyone?
- 13:51Speaker 3: So she should start with our circle of family and friends.
- 13:54Speaker 2: When she does go to the supermarket, she should smile,
- 14:01Speaker 2: She should be open and maybe even like mentally project
- 14:05Speaker 2: that she's open and that she's looking for someone. Because
- 14:08Speaker 2: if you avert your eyes every time you see someone,
- 14:10Speaker 2: you're interested in it will go nowhere.
- 14:13Speaker 3: And I know that's the hardest thing to.
- 14:15Speaker 2: Do because you don't even know if that person is
- 14:17Speaker 2: married or if they're gay.
- 14:19Speaker 3: I no, you don't know.
- 14:20Speaker 1: But I remember back when everybody said you meet them
- 14:24Speaker 1: at the grocery store, hang out in the fruit asal well,
- 14:27Speaker 1: guys that never worked. However, this girl right here when
- 14:30Speaker 1: I was up in Central Jersey, if you will, she
- 14:34Speaker 1: goes to the shake store and it's like a healthy
- 14:38Speaker 1: grocery store, not like a Wegman's or anything. It's small,
- 14:42Speaker 1: but it is a good place to meet because you
- 14:45Speaker 1: have to wait for your shake.
- 14:47Speaker 3: And I remember us being there a shopping and they're buying.
- 14:50Speaker 2: Snacks, right, yeah, yeah, And there are people that we
- 14:53Speaker 2: strike out conversations.
- 14:54Speaker 3: You're right.
- 14:55Speaker 2: And then also if they haven't tried a dating website, then.
- 14:59Speaker 3: I would try to dance. I would too, I would
- 15:01Speaker 3: be really careful and selected. But it works, it kind
- 15:04Speaker 3: of does. It absolutely does.
- 15:06Speaker 1: That's how I met Frederic obviously. Or do a new hobby,
- 15:10Speaker 1: like when you do different new things that you hadn't
- 15:13Speaker 1: done before, you may meet somebody and sometimes you don't.
- 15:17Speaker 3: Yeah, go to yacht clubs. I don't know, go golf? Right?
- 15:20Speaker 3: We went going?
- 15:22Speaker 1: Yes, I used to think that I took up golf,
- 15:25Speaker 1: so I go meet somebody on the golf course.
- 15:27Speaker 3: They're mostly married, Oh god, yeah.
- 15:29Speaker 2: And they were kind of more interested in in their
- 15:32Speaker 2: golf game than.
- 15:32Speaker 3: And looking at I know. We did good though. That
- 15:36Speaker 3: was a lot of fun. You're really good. You're so good.
- 15:39Speaker 3: I got even better though. I got to tell you.
- 15:42Speaker 3: We got to come around too, or you could come down. Yeah.
- 15:56Speaker 1: How do you feel about the older people having getting
- 15:59Speaker 1: scanned when they do try to go online? Has anything
- 16:02Speaker 1: like that ever happened to you?
- 16:04Speaker 2: It hasn't happened to me, but I do work in
- 16:06Speaker 2: an industry where we have seen it happen to our clients.
- 16:09Speaker 3: So and I well, actually it has been attempted on me.
- 16:13Speaker 2: You know what happens is you know that the whole
- 16:15Speaker 2: trick is that they say, hey, my brothers saw your photo,
- 16:19Speaker 2: but he doesn't have any can you email me and so?
- 16:23Speaker 2: And that's the scam to get you off the website
- 16:25Speaker 2: and then talk to you about how beautiful you are
- 16:27Speaker 2: and then show you a picture of themselves which is
- 16:29Speaker 2: not really themselves of you.
- 16:32Speaker 3: Is that what they call cat fishing.
- 16:34Speaker 2: Is that so, I think, So, I'm not.
- 16:39Speaker 3: It's slow, it's really it's very prevalent. So it's it happens.
- 16:43Speaker 3: There are so many of them out there, and I've
- 16:45Speaker 3: got it.
- 16:45Speaker 1: I've been on long enough to see they'll use the
- 16:49Speaker 1: word M instead of I am.
- 16:51Speaker 3: It'll just be M.
- 16:52Speaker 1: Just that at the end, it's like, oh, really big
- 16:55Speaker 1: and they ask you a billion questions, your favorite, this's
- 16:57Speaker 1: your favorite that before long they need money.
- 17:00Speaker 2: Right, yes, this, I'm sorry, I if you want to
- 17:03Speaker 2: hear this. She This woman kept on wiring twenty five,
- 17:06Speaker 2: twenty five, twenty five thousand. Finally it was fifty thousand,
- 17:09Speaker 2: and we stopped and called her son, and she was old.
- 17:12Speaker 2: She said, no, no, no, I'm getting my announcin I'm
- 17:14Speaker 2: getting my hair done. I'm going to meet him at
- 17:15Speaker 2: the airport. But he can't leave unless I wire him
- 17:17Speaker 2: this forty five thousand. And it's sad because some women
- 17:20Speaker 2: are just that lonely that they will fall.
- 17:23Speaker 1: For us, and they believe they be I believe. I
- 17:25Speaker 1: looked up catfish is when they don't use their pictures,
- 17:29Speaker 1: their real pictures. Well, that's the same as scamming, you know. Yeah,
- 17:34Speaker 1: it's saying people have to be really careful.
- 17:37Speaker 3: Yeah, we would, right, We have to warn everybody.
- 17:40Speaker 2: And if they get right, if they have broken English
- 17:42Speaker 2: and bad grammar and it looks like a picture photo
- 17:45Speaker 2: from the internet, then I think they get three.
- 17:48Speaker 1: Of them now too, so it really looks legit, like
- 17:50Speaker 1: look at them here, look at them here. Yeah, yeah,
- 17:55Speaker 1: it's funny, Teresa. I've always wanted to be a person
- 17:58Speaker 1: that helps men do their profile and their pictures. Oh
- 18:02Speaker 1: you know they never take a selfie in your bathroom.
- 18:06Speaker 3: Yeah, never take a selfie with a big fat fish
- 18:10Speaker 3: in your hands. Are they doing in the kitchen with
- 18:13Speaker 3: pilot dishes behind them? That's a good idea, since you
- 18:17Speaker 3: should do that, so you go along with your other business.
- 18:21Speaker 1: Have you ever tried speed dating or have a matchmaker?
- 18:24Speaker 3: Any blind dat set up date? Never any of.
- 18:27Speaker 2: The actually know the speed dating is a really great idea.
- 18:32Speaker 3: It sounds fun, doesn't it. Yeah, sounds really fun. I think.
- 18:37Speaker 2: I think what would be really good is if you
- 18:38Speaker 2: went to like a pottery class and then you help
- 18:40Speaker 2: each other, or you went to a cooking class and
- 18:43Speaker 2: it was really for you know, to meet people.
- 18:45Speaker 1: A singles cooking class. We can maybe help them with that, Teresa.
- 18:50Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah, we're traveling with singles or something.
- 18:53Speaker 1: Well that they have those groups, those meetup groups about traveling.
- 18:57Speaker 1: I did try one of those. I never met any
- 19:04Speaker 1: And you know, a lot of our listeners say they
- 19:07Speaker 1: live in really small towns.
- 19:09Speaker 3: It's hard for them to meet new people. One thing.
- 19:12Speaker 1: Even if you live in a big city like Philadelphia
- 19:15Speaker 1: or New York City, it is so hard to meet somebody.
- 19:18Speaker 1: I've heard that so many times, and I know myself
- 19:21Speaker 1: being in the city, it is hard, just.
- 19:23Speaker 3: As hard as small towns, right, And I'll say that.
- 19:26Speaker 2: I mean, the older you get, the smaller the pool
- 19:29Speaker 2: of available people are.
- 19:31Speaker 3: So you're lucky you went younger. Which was a really
- 19:35Speaker 3: great idea. It just happened.
- 19:38Speaker 1: I didn't search for that, but it happened to be that,
- 19:41Speaker 1: which is great. What do you think about a single spruise?
- 19:43Speaker 1: Would you ever sign up for a single cruise? Yeah, jeez,
- 19:48Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 19:49Speaker 3: I don't know. Maybe I would.
- 19:51Speaker 2: I would kind of feel like, well, if I didn't
- 19:52Speaker 2: like anybody on this cruise and kind of trapped here.
- 19:55Speaker 3: What am I?
- 19:55Speaker 1: I would have to go with a girlfriend though.
- 19:57Speaker 2: Yeah, well, if I wanted to one with a girlfriend
- 20:00Speaker 2: that would be great, that wouldn't have to be obligated
- 20:02Speaker 2: to be exactly.
- 20:04Speaker 1: Exactly, and the other little events in your hometown, and
- 20:08Speaker 1: whether comedian's coming into town or a show, you know
- 20:12Speaker 1: what I mean.
- 20:12Speaker 2: Just yeah, we've got so much music on the Jersey Shore,
- 20:17Speaker 2: so many places to go, so you're right, yeah, to
- 20:19Speaker 2: go with a friend, but so many of my friends
- 20:22Speaker 2: are with people.
- 20:23Speaker 1: So you know, you took me to that little show
- 20:27Speaker 1: that was adorable, somebody's podcast show, right, they were so cute.
- 20:31Speaker 1: And we met one of the housewives.
- 20:34Speaker 3: Yes, we did. That was awesome.
- 20:35Speaker 2: That was so good.
- 20:37Speaker 1: She had everything planned. But if you come to my house,
- 20:40Speaker 1: it's not going to be as good. I'm telling you,
- 20:43Speaker 1: it's okay.
- 20:44Speaker 3: I'm just going to go in your pool in your backyard.
- 20:45Speaker 1: That absolutely, I finally got in it for the first time.
- 20:48Speaker 1: I've been traveling so much myself.
- 20:50Speaker 3: Oh my god, good you got to get in there.
- 20:53Speaker 1: And we've been asked both of us, Teresa this question,
- 20:56Speaker 1: and I believe I say the same answers. But if
- 21:00Speaker 1: there was one piece of advice that you could give
- 21:03Speaker 1: to your younger self when it comes to dating and relationships,
- 21:08Speaker 1: what would it be Okay, So.
- 21:10Speaker 2: In any relationship, I think the most important thing is
- 21:15Speaker 2: to be open and honest and communicate with that person,
- 21:18Speaker 2: and if there are any issues with that person, to
- 21:21Speaker 2: never go to anyone else and complain, to just leave
- 21:25Speaker 2: it within the relationship, because once you start going outside
- 21:28Speaker 2: of that, then everyone has their opinion and starts talking
- 21:31Speaker 2: down about your person, and you're saying, no, no, I
- 21:34Speaker 2: really love this person.
- 21:35Speaker 3: Don't say anything bad about my person.
- 21:37Speaker 1: Ladies and gentlemen, you just heard a great bit of advice.
- 21:42Speaker 3: That's awesome. You're absolutely right, Thank you.
- 21:45Speaker 1: Yeah, I learned that a red flag is a red flag,
- 21:48Speaker 1: and I'm not going to make it green by any Yeah,
- 21:52Speaker 1: you're right. Just stop taking it and I still try
- 21:57Speaker 1: to practice it. Stop taking it so serious and thinking
- 22:00Speaker 1: of the next level and the next step. Just be
- 22:03Speaker 1: in the moment and be true to yourself and your
- 22:07Speaker 1: partner whoever right.
- 22:08Speaker 3: And I really do think that it should be easy.
- 22:10Speaker 2: It should not be difficult with somebody that you constantly
- 22:14Speaker 2: have to compromise because you're thinking two different ways on
- 22:17Speaker 2: a subject, or you don't have the same goals and
- 22:19Speaker 2: passions and ideas about subjects.
- 22:22Speaker 3: Or life. I think it just makes it too hard,
- 22:25Speaker 3: so it's easier. Yes, I agree.
- 22:27Speaker 1: Now you obviously know we had very different personalities, yet
- 22:31Speaker 1: we like each other a whole bunch. Okay, what would
- 22:34Speaker 1: you say that we've learned from each other? What is
- 22:38Speaker 1: your favorite thing about me? And I'll tell you my
- 22:41Speaker 1: favorite thing about you.
- 22:43Speaker 2: I'm my favorite thing about you is that you are
- 22:45Speaker 2: so open and yourself and yet you're you're such a
- 22:51Speaker 2: good person and you don't you don't hold back, and
- 22:55Speaker 2: that you're yes your openness. I remember when I was
- 22:57Speaker 2: on the show. Remember when I said to you, I'm
- 23:00Speaker 2: going to make you a star. Oh boy, I didn't
- 23:02Speaker 2: need to make it.
- 23:05Speaker 3: I said, wow, what are you doing right now? Is
- 23:06Speaker 3: really cool because you're going, Oh Susan, do that. I said,
- 23:13Speaker 3: I'm going to get you on the cover of People magazine.
- 23:15Speaker 3: I didn't know.
- 23:16Speaker 1: I still no, no, and I think you are one
- 23:24Speaker 1: beautiful human being.
- 23:25Speaker 3: You're fun.
- 23:26Speaker 1: I didn't realize how fun you were. I mean, we guys,
- 23:30Speaker 1: we I don't know if you caught our social media,
- 23:32Speaker 1: but Frank Sinatra in the house because this girl could sing.
- 23:37Speaker 5: We had the top down at night with the stars
- 23:40Speaker 5: that we had the music blaring, riding around singing like
- 23:43Speaker 5: we didn't get that experience were on the show. I
- 23:47Speaker 5: was waiting on the show, we were still worried about
- 23:51Speaker 5: zip it and I was trying to play.
- 23:54Speaker 3: So I zipped it. I couldn't be myself. I mean
- 23:58Speaker 3: when I got when, I seemed like and sences, Hi,
- 24:01Speaker 3: how are you? What are you doing? This is awesome?
- 24:05Speaker 3: And then on the show, I'm like, okay, not saying word?
- 24:07Speaker 3: What do I say? Now? What do I do? Know?
- 24:09Speaker 3: Because it's weird when you just you know.
- 24:12Speaker 2: Yeah, So I applaud you for being able to be
- 24:14Speaker 2: yourself because I was not able to do that, and.
- 24:17Speaker 1: Honestly, to be perfectly honest with you, I won't use
- 24:21Speaker 1: the word it fends, but it was a curse rather
- 24:25Speaker 1: than a blessing that I mun apologetically susan and very
- 24:31Speaker 1: outspoken and I say what I think, but I would
- 24:34Speaker 1: never hurt anyone's feelings. Yeah, but I'm pretty some people
- 24:38Speaker 1: would consider it obnoxious.
- 24:41Speaker 2: No, No, you're a very kind I'm.
- 24:44Speaker 3: A very good person. You take things to heart, You're
- 24:48Speaker 3: very sensitive and kind. So yeah, no, you're great. It's
- 24:53Speaker 3: all right.
- 24:54Speaker 1: So have you watched Bachelor in Paradise.
- 24:57Speaker 3: I have watched.
- 24:58Speaker 1: Paradise Baby, so it was okay, you know, and then
- 25:04Speaker 1: the Goldens arrived and I thought that was really exciting.
- 25:07Speaker 3: Everybody so good.
- 25:10Speaker 1: Did you feel for a moment like, oh man, we
- 25:12Speaker 1: should be there saying hi to everybody.
- 25:14Speaker 2: Yeah, you kind of felt like that. I mean, it
- 25:17Speaker 2: just felt like we should all be there.
- 25:19Speaker 3: But I was.
- 25:20Speaker 2: I was so excited when they came on, and I
- 25:23Speaker 2: just and I felt the whole energy lift. And even
- 25:26Speaker 2: they the young people really looked forward to it.
- 25:29Speaker 3: I mean they loved them.
- 25:30Speaker 1: Yes, there was so much drama and stuff going on
- 25:34Speaker 1: in there. Yeah, and then when they came in, it
- 25:36Speaker 1: was like a breath of fresh air.
- 25:37Speaker 3: Yeah, thank god somebody came here liking up this move.
- 25:41Speaker 1: This is way there and my beautiful April is still April.
- 25:46Speaker 3: April has some really great line.
- 25:48Speaker 2: She is good and she was I think that April
- 25:51Speaker 2: on this show is really coming out on her own,
- 25:54Speaker 2: like you.
- 25:54Speaker 3: Know, rachelle more confident. Felt good for her. I was
- 25:59Speaker 3: just talking to her.
- 26:00Speaker 1: I saw her kissing Jack and that was like in
- 26:04Speaker 1: the pool.
- 26:04Speaker 3: But what do you think.
- 26:05Speaker 1: Of April possibly flirting with a younger guy Jonathan.
- 26:11Speaker 3: Yes, it's okay.
- 26:13Speaker 2: Hey if there's if they are consenting parties, and that's fine.
- 26:17Speaker 3: If he's going to go for it, then let him
- 26:19Speaker 3: go for it. I think I think all thing at
- 26:22Speaker 3: more just it's so funny. I don't know I should
- 26:25Speaker 3: do that.
- 26:26Speaker 2: I mean, honestly, even if it's just flirting and it
- 26:29Speaker 2: didn't go anywhere, I think there should be some of that.
- 26:31Speaker 2: There should be like hey, I mean, and Leslie said
- 26:34Speaker 2: it too. Leslie said, hey, you know, Shar's got a
- 26:36Speaker 2: younger guy.
- 26:37Speaker 3: Why not be? Why we all do? We've got a
- 26:41Speaker 3: younger guys, So why not?
- 26:43Speaker 1: I don't know what the age difference is there, do you?
- 26:46Speaker 1: I mean, I'm not talking like a twenty nine year older.
- 26:48Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, I can't go below my son's age.
- 26:51Speaker 2: My son is forty, so I can't go maybe maybe
- 26:54Speaker 2: as well as fifty five.
- 26:56Speaker 1: That's what friend's gonna be in November fifty five.
- 26:59Speaker 3: So I'm exactly. But you're younger than I am. Aren't
- 27:02Speaker 3: you just sixty? What are you? Sixty? Eight? Yeah? Eight?
- 27:05Speaker 3: You send you to So no, I'm waiting.
- 27:08Speaker 1: I was dying when Kathy with that game, and I
- 27:11Speaker 1: was waiting for the person to own that secret mouths
- 27:16Speaker 1: were dropped and they're.
- 27:17Speaker 3: Like, Cat, I didn't think you had it in you.
- 27:22Speaker 3: They were all, yeah, that was crazy.
- 27:25Speaker 2: I mean, but there were some wild ones on there
- 27:28Speaker 2: being a playmde to another couple and finding five hundred
- 27:32Speaker 2: thousand dollars and what.
- 27:34Speaker 1: About the foot one on the on the all, what
- 27:38Speaker 1: what is it when you put your feet online? Only
- 27:41Speaker 1: fans only fans?
- 27:43Speaker 3: Yeah, hey, why not, let's do that. We should both
- 27:47Speaker 3: do it, you know, if people are.
- 27:49Speaker 2: Going to pay for that.
- 27:51Speaker 3: I didn't do it though.
- 27:52Speaker 1: She wanted to win that contest, and because she got
- 27:55Speaker 1: a VIP sweet date.
- 27:57Speaker 3: Yeah, and she chose teeth right. What do you think?
- 28:01Speaker 3: What do you think? I don't know.
- 28:03Speaker 2: It just seemed a lot more platonic. It didn't like
- 28:06Speaker 2: a romance. Friendship, Yes, it seemed like a friendship.
- 28:11Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 28:12Speaker 2: Yeah, I would have liked to have seen a little flirting,
- 28:14Speaker 2: a little romance, a little kiss, and that would have
- 28:17Speaker 2: been nice because it was the VIP suite.
- 28:20Speaker 1: And now to do something make down at least that was.
- 28:23Speaker 3: What it was all about, like, you know, a little
- 28:26Speaker 3: making out in the pool.
- 28:27Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, they did the champagne thing. Teresa honestly, do
- 28:31Speaker 1: you think on this show that we're going to see
- 28:34Speaker 1: any kind of a love connection between the Goldens?
- 28:37Speaker 3: That is a really good question.
- 28:40Speaker 2: I hope. So I hope it gets better. I mean,
- 28:43Speaker 2: I hope it gets better in that department. Yes, there's
- 28:46Speaker 2: connections because we are capable of really, you know, having
- 28:51Speaker 2: the same things that any age group does. So I
- 28:54Speaker 2: really hope that they do. I'm rooting for somebody to
- 28:57Speaker 2: get this connection. And we haven't seen everybody haven't seen
- 29:00Speaker 2: all the different connections.
- 29:02Speaker 1: And no, not yet, not everybody's even there yet. What
- 29:05Speaker 1: about R Jay and Natasha.
- 29:08Speaker 4: R Jane Natasha, Wow, that would be full well, they
- 29:10Speaker 4: were flirting a little bit that they were flirting.
- 29:13Speaker 3: She was sitting on his lap on the boat, so
- 29:14Speaker 3: that was good.
- 29:15Speaker 1: I think everybody's trying to make a connection, right, And.
- 29:19Speaker 2: What about the rivalry between Jack and Kim for April
- 29:25Speaker 2: and Kim is nassashing April's bag.
- 29:29Speaker 3: Till wait, wait, that's my woman, don't be touching my
- 29:35Speaker 3: mom and Apel and then she doesn't tell Jonathan, yeah,
- 29:41Speaker 3: if you want to come to my rooms. And now
- 29:42Speaker 3: we get a third guy. So Apel's having for life,
- 29:45Speaker 3: so good for her.
- 29:47Speaker 1: There's more Goldens coming, and I look forward to this.
- 29:50Speaker 1: I really do they come in attractions, if you will.
- 29:53Speaker 1: When Faith says I might be the hoe of the show,
- 29:57Speaker 1: I was like, that was what.
- 30:00Speaker 3: What Faith? You're another personality? Can we just see that?
- 30:07Speaker 3: And that's not the faith that we know.
- 30:09Speaker 1: I would never hear that coming out of her mouth.
- 30:12Speaker 3: Okay, That's why I'm gonna be so sorry when this
- 30:14Speaker 3: show is over, because I'm really looking forward to that.
- 30:16Speaker 3: I want to see what Faith does, like how she
- 30:18Speaker 3: grew men and what is really going to happen with
- 30:22Speaker 3: her because she was really making out of them.
- 30:25Speaker 1: All right, all right, let's let's move on to the
- 30:39Speaker 1: next Golden Bachelor, and let's be nice mel Owens. Okay,
- 30:46Speaker 1: all the comments that the people are making about his
- 30:49Speaker 1: comment about wanting women on his cast to be between
- 30:55Speaker 1: forty five and sixty, well, and if they're over six,
- 31:00Speaker 1: see he's cutting them.
- 31:01Speaker 3: And he said no artificial hips and or wigs, and
- 31:06Speaker 3: he must have meant knees too, and you know whatever else.
- 31:10Speaker 1: You know what, Honestly, I think I'm hoping at the
- 31:13Speaker 1: l that he was seazing. I mean not seazing.
- 31:16Speaker 2: He once a younger, but yeah, Mel, all I have
- 31:19Speaker 2: to say is, yeah, we are so like saggy.
- 31:22Speaker 3: I mean, we're so no, not coned whatsoever. You are bald,
- 31:28Speaker 3: you know. No, once we get sixty, we might as
- 31:30Speaker 3: well be dead. Like we're really not. We're not viable anymore.
- 31:33Speaker 2: So, Mel, you got you right on, because you know,
- 31:35Speaker 2: if I want a guy who's forty, thought too so, so.
- 31:39Speaker 3: You're not You're not angry with him, No, I'm angry
- 31:42Speaker 3: with him.
- 31:44Speaker 2: So, so the whole idea of the Golden Bachelor is
- 31:49Speaker 2: that we are older, we have sixty sixty should.
- 31:53Speaker 3: Be at the bottom age, it's not should not be
- 31:55Speaker 3: the top age.
- 31:56Speaker 2: So in order to be golden and I'm and so
- 31:58Speaker 2: I think what's going to happen is that he'll see
- 32:00Speaker 2: these women.
- 32:01Speaker 3: He's going to see that they're gorgeous.
- 32:03Speaker 2: I'm sure that they're all beautiful, accomplished women, and he'll
- 32:07Speaker 2: change his mind and I'll say, oh, I didn't even
- 32:10Speaker 2: know that a woman could be this beautiful at this age.
- 32:13Speaker 2: Oh my goodness, you're gorgeous. Oh you are, you are
- 32:17Speaker 2: in shape?
- 32:18Speaker 3: So I was wrong, that's what's going on.
- 32:20Speaker 1: You know what. I wish he didn't know the age
- 32:23Speaker 1: of the woman, that's right, until he dates them and
- 32:27Speaker 1: does it. I'm going to suggest that to us.
- 32:30Speaker 3: I think it's a great suggestion. I agree. I mean
- 32:32Speaker 3: obviously that the team knows how old they are. Yeah,
- 32:36Speaker 3: maybe the guy.
- 32:37Speaker 1: Shouldn't know, because you don't want to judge somebody because
- 32:40Speaker 1: of the age.
- 32:41Speaker 3: I never act my age, right, It would be really cool.
- 32:45Speaker 2: I love this idea where the whole audience knows how
- 32:48Speaker 2: old each woman is, but he doesn't know.
- 32:51Speaker 3: With a sixty five year old and.
- 32:54Speaker 1: You know he's only sixty six, he's still younger than us. However, however,
- 33:00Speaker 1: he would rock his world.
- 33:01Speaker 3: Yo, Mel, you think you got it all now, you
- 33:04Speaker 3: don't say that ever again.
- 33:05Speaker 1: And I honest the guy don't think he meant it
- 33:07Speaker 1: to be disrespectful to women by any means.
- 33:11Speaker 2: He didn't even know that this podcast was going to
- 33:14Speaker 2: be released anywhere.
- 33:15Speaker 3: He just thought he was talking football and the yeah, yeah,
- 33:18Speaker 3: talking is what they were doing.
- 33:20Speaker 2: He lost his mind. He just lost his mind, and
- 33:23Speaker 2: the whole thing's going to change. So we can't wait
- 33:25Speaker 2: and see what he says. But that's that's the truth.
- 33:27Speaker 2: Don't tell him how old these women are.
- 33:29Speaker 3: Just sell us.
- 33:31Speaker 1: I'm calling ABC as soon as we're done today sending messages.
- 33:35Speaker 3: I got a brilliant idea.
- 33:39Speaker 1: He's true because they won't let too young of a
- 33:42Speaker 1: woman or too old of a woman though, you.
- 33:44Speaker 3: Know, and the hip part.
- 33:46Speaker 1: Now, be careful. Some people have new knees. Some people
- 33:50Speaker 1: it happens in their forties, so don't judge. He was
- 33:53Speaker 1: a football player, he was an athlete, so he's strong.
- 33:56Speaker 3: I get it. It could happen at any time. And
- 34:00Speaker 3: who's wearing wigs nowadays? Anybody?
- 34:03Speaker 1: Can you imagine how bad I would be sweating. I
- 34:06Speaker 1: sweat my own hair and a lot of.
- 34:10Speaker 3: Guys for two. And I'd rather have a bold guy anyway.
- 34:13Speaker 3: That's I'll shame his head.
- 34:14Speaker 1: I like the ones with the really short sides and
- 34:17Speaker 1: they're absolutely two hairs. Like sweetie, just let me, let
- 34:20Speaker 1: me take care of this.
- 34:21Speaker 3: Get Oh and thank you for fixing my hair when
- 34:24Speaker 3: you were at my house.
- 34:25Speaker 1: Oh yes, did you do what I said? You went
- 34:28Speaker 1: to your stylist. It looks great.
- 34:30Speaker 3: I did this. Listen to me, Yeah, but it's not good.
- 34:36Speaker 3: I actually believe my season. I cut my hair and
- 34:38Speaker 3: the side is longer, So why do you think you
- 34:41Speaker 3: could do? She's very talented to know my grandfather was
- 34:44Speaker 3: a barber. Okay, I just go. I think I can
- 34:47Speaker 3: do it. I think, all right, Teresa, I do have
- 34:52Speaker 3: one question, and don't shoot me. Oh oh, I got it.
- 34:56Speaker 1: Remember when we were out, I think we had just
- 34:59Speaker 1: got dinner and maybe walk in to walk some of
- 35:02Speaker 1: the glories off the digest the least, okay, And that
- 35:06Speaker 1: gentleman came.
- 35:06Speaker 3: Up to us and he said, Teresa, you go back
- 35:11Speaker 3: and forth, back and forth, and you're like, I dated you.

- 35:22Speaker 2: at Peer Village in Long Branch. We were going to
- 35:25Speaker 2: a place to see if they had music. And he's
- 35:28Speaker 2: walking towards us, and I'm looking at him. I go,
- 35:30Speaker 2: he looks so familiar. And I went out with him
- 35:33Speaker 2: twice and then never went out with him again.

- 35:42Speaker 1: He was really nice?
- 35:44Speaker 3: Yeah? He was not. Why did I turn him down?
- 35:46Speaker 4: Ye? Why?
- 35:47Speaker 3: Why?
- 35:47Speaker 1: I was saying, okay, don't look back, let's look forward. Yes,
- 35:53Speaker 1: he approached you again. I think if you reached out
- 35:55Speaker 1: to him, say hey, you want to get together and
- 35:56Speaker 1: go listen to some music, he would definitely say yes,
- 35:59Speaker 1: and maybe now that you're more open and you give
- 36:02Speaker 1: it another shot and even.
- 36:03Speaker 3: Just have friends. You know, I haven't had a phone number,
- 36:05Speaker 3: but you never know.

- 36:15Speaker 2: know who they were and I do you hate that? Yeah?
- 36:18Speaker 3: That's really like, I feel so bad to say, who
- 36:20Speaker 3: is this?
