A 73-year-old pilot has been confirmed dead after his small plane crashed and sank in Wolfe Lake in the Kawartha Lakes region. Last seen Friday morning taking off from Oshawa Executive Airport, he was reported missing when he failed to return by his expected time. A massive multi-agency search involving the Joint Rescue Coordination Centre, OPP, and Ministry of Natural Resources led to the discovery of wreckage and the submerged aircraft.
