- 1:51Speaker 2: You're coming to invest vest, but you're not just coming.
- 1:55Speaker 2: So we've been talking with your team for a few
- 1:57Speaker 2: months and you have a program. We actually putting together
- 2:01Speaker 2: a whole track of artificial intelligence from one oh one
- 2:05Speaker 2: all the way to you know, advanced level, how to
- 2:08Speaker 2: incorporate it with in your business for entrepreneurs, and we do.
- 2:10Speaker 2: I think we're doing like four different panels and fireside
- 2:13Speaker 2: chats that you guys are involved in. So first and foremost,
- 2:16Speaker 2: thank you for that, But I wanted to kind of
- 2:17Speaker 2: give you the platform to explain what what your your
- 2:21Speaker 2: initiative is when it comes to AI and how it's
- 2:24Speaker 2: going to be incorporated inside of investments.
- 2:28Speaker 3: Well, you know, first of all, I just think it's
- 2:31Speaker 3: important for us to recognize that, you know, AI is
- 2:35Speaker 3: going to be a game changer, and a lot of us,
- 2:38Speaker 3: I think are coming from a place of fear and
- 2:41Speaker 3: non engagement. Uh, because we heard so much bad stuff
- 2:44Speaker 3: and obviously you know our community, we are very threat sensitive.
- 2:49Speaker 3: We've been We've been oppressed and repressed and depressed and
- 2:52Speaker 3: mistreated for so long. Every something new comes along, the
- 2:54Speaker 3: first thing is how is is going to hurt me?
- 2:57Speaker 3: And we've had that for a year now, but it's
- 2:59Speaker 3: time for us to look to see how can it
- 3:00Speaker 3: help me? Because doctor King wanted equal protection from bad stuff,
- 3:05Speaker 3: but we also wanted equal opportunity, equal access to good stuff.
- 3:08Speaker 4: This is going to be a multi trillion dollar impact.
- 3:12Speaker 3: And people keep telling me, well, you know, black people,
- 3:15Speaker 3: nine night persent of black people don't know anything about AI.
- 3:18Speaker 3: That's true, and nine night percent of white people don't either.
- 3:22Speaker 3: That's called equality, that's called an opportunity, that's called jump ball.
- 3:27Speaker 3: And so if this is going to be the most
- 3:30Speaker 3: creative disruptive tool ever. We're the most creative disruptive people ever,
- 3:35Speaker 3: you know, when it comes to technology. We took two
- 3:38Speaker 3: turntables in a microphone and took over global culture with
- 3:42Speaker 3: hip hop. So that's not much technology, but we're so
- 3:46Speaker 3: creative with it. Now you've got these incredibly creative tools,
- 3:49Speaker 3: we shouldn't be running awy from them.
- 3:50Speaker 4: We should be running toward them.
- 3:52Speaker 3: And so why not for profit organization a dream machine
- 3:55Speaker 3: innovation lab. We teamed up with will i Am and
- 3:58Speaker 3: we launched a campaign November called make Wakanda Real. In
- 4:04Speaker 3: other words, you know, why should our imagination only be
- 4:07Speaker 3: on the negative side? What about Wakanda as an imagination
- 4:10Speaker 3: jumping off point where you know, we have the best
- 4:12Speaker 3: technology in the world and we're using it for good
- 4:14Speaker 3: and we're using it in a heroic way. We're using
- 4:16Speaker 3: it in a spiritual way. We're using it in a
- 4:18Speaker 3: way that honors our ancestors. Why can't we grab this
- 4:21Speaker 3: technology before anybody else moves on it and move first?
- 4:25Speaker 3: And if you do that, this might this might be
- 4:28Speaker 3: better than reparations. I mean, this might be the way
- 4:30Speaker 3: we can put a lot of these you know, banks
- 4:31Speaker 3: and other people on a back foot, So but how
- 4:34Speaker 3: do you do that?
- 4:35Speaker 4: As an easy rhetoric. So what we decided to do
- 4:38Speaker 4: was to create the.
- 4:40Speaker 3: Dream Machine AI Academy and teach, you know, basically get
- 4:46Speaker 3: people together and teach folks for free how to use
- 4:48Speaker 3: all these tools that are out there that you know,
- 4:50Speaker 3: without instruction you may not be able to feel comfortable with.
- 4:54Speaker 3: The weekend of Juneteenth, we went to Atlanta. We had
- 4:58Speaker 3: the first ever dreams Machine AI Academy. We had about
- 5:03Speaker 3: five hundred folks show up, mostly black folk, and we
- 5:07Speaker 3: did We taught everything from how to make a film,
- 5:10Speaker 3: how to make a business plan, like just unbelievable stuff.
- 5:15Speaker 4: And we were, you know, we had the backing of.
- 5:18Speaker 3: Microsoft, so we you know, we at the back of Amazon,
- 5:22Speaker 3: Microsoft and others, and we literally were able to create
- 5:27Speaker 3: like a Saturday school. And the youngest personaire was three,
- 5:31Speaker 3: the oldest person there was seventy. And everybody came away
- 5:34Speaker 3: really surprised. This could be a jetpack for your business.
- 5:38Speaker 5: You could.
- 5:38Speaker 3: You can save a bunch of money because you're using
- 5:41Speaker 3: AI tools. You're not gonna have to pay for as
- 5:43Speaker 3: much on the marketing side. On the creative side, I mean,
- 5:46Speaker 3: it's it can be a jet pack. If we wait,
- 5:48Speaker 3: it's gonna be hand grenade. But if we move first,
- 5:51Speaker 3: it can be a jet pack for what we're doing.
- 5:53Speaker 3: And so that's what we're bringing to to invest us.
- 5:55Speaker 6: I'm looking at at the classes and on the call
- 5:58Speaker 6: we kind of spoke about it and that was like, and
- 6:00Speaker 6: I wish we could be there to see it. So
- 6:01Speaker 6: we had advanced AI, prompting AI imaging making, filmmaking, music tools,
- 6:06Speaker 6: using AI to develop discussionary income, all these things as
- 6:11Speaker 6: you saw it come to life.
- 6:13Speaker 4: What what what did it feel like?
- 6:14Speaker 1: What's been the feedback from that initial class?
- 6:19Speaker 3: Well, I mean the feedback was unreal because for one thing,
- 6:23Speaker 3: I think people felt hopeful. You know, it's like the
- 6:27Speaker 3: political situation, the economic situation, even the weather. Everything seems depressing.
- 6:33Speaker 3: But here's this whole new set of opportunities that nobody
- 6:35Speaker 3: has ever really happen for, not just black people.
- 6:38Speaker 4: Nobody's seen tools that can do.
- 6:39Speaker 3: This, and so we've never had this in four hundred years.
- 6:43Speaker 3: We never had the opportunity to be on the ground
- 6:45Speaker 3: floor of something like this. You know, usually you have
- 6:48Speaker 3: to have so much capital. I mean it's hard to start,
- 6:51Speaker 3: you know, A factory. You know, it's hard to start
- 6:55Speaker 3: an airline, it's hard to start a goal mine.
- 6:58Speaker 4: I mean, that type of stuff is usually out of
- 6:59Speaker 4: our reach. This is readily.
- 7:01Speaker 3: Available tools just lying around and so so you know,
- 7:05Speaker 3: it was really exciting. And then you know there also
- 7:08Speaker 3: are already a lot of black folk who were in
- 7:09Speaker 3: AI who I didn't really know existed. It's not like
- 7:13Speaker 3: we had to go get a bunch of white folk
- 7:14Speaker 3: come teach us. Ashley Lawrence is a brother at Microsoft.
- 7:19Speaker 3: He came and was on the front the first panel.
- 7:22Speaker 3: This dude is like one of the top AI people
- 7:23Speaker 3: on planet Earth. His brother, There's there's another leader named
- 7:29Speaker 3: x I E. They came. They've been in uh in
- 7:34Speaker 3: this stuff for I think twelve years. Actually, they're the
- 7:39Speaker 3: person who made uh AI able to recognize black people
- 7:43Speaker 3: because AI at first was calling us monkeys and stuff,
- 7:45Speaker 3: and so this person had to step in and fix that.
- 7:47Speaker 4: So and you know, X.
- 7:49Speaker 3: Is dope, just young and amazing, and so we had
- 7:54Speaker 3: black experts who could break this stuff down at the
- 7:57Speaker 3: highest level, who came all the way to Atlanta to
- 8:00Speaker 3: be that. They wanted to be with the community. They're
- 8:02Speaker 3: so glad to see us finally, you know, because they've
- 8:04Speaker 3: been off of the cuts, like treated like nerds. Now
- 8:08Speaker 3: finally they're being embraced by us. We're embracing them. It
- 8:10Speaker 3: was a really beautiful experience and I can't wait to
- 8:12Speaker 3: bring it to to investments.
- 8:13Speaker 4: It's going to be amazing.
- 8:16Speaker 5: I know there's been a lot of talk about large
- 8:19Speaker 5: lingual language modeling and the costs of our astronomical like,
- 8:24Speaker 5: how do you think we can get into maybe niche
- 8:28Speaker 5: models that can have an impact in our communities that
- 8:31Speaker 5: will allow us to maybe sell the IP to Microsoft
- 8:36Speaker 5: or a Google meta, et cetera, and break in that way.
- 8:41Speaker 3: Look, I mean the different levels to get in. The
- 8:45Speaker 3: level we're we're focused on is just just literally use
- 8:48Speaker 3: the tools. Even if you're not, you know, accessing supercompute,
- 8:52Speaker 3: even if you're not accessing you know, the if you're
- 8:55Speaker 3: not figuring out ways to sell data, just use the
- 8:59Speaker 3: dam tools because you're going to be able in set
- 9:03Speaker 3: having spending your whole weekend on a business plan, you
- 9:04Speaker 3: can get it done in twenty seconds.
- 9:06Speaker 4: I mean just that kind of stuff.
- 9:07Speaker 3: So that's one level, just basic introduction, just literally whatever
- 9:11Speaker 3: you're doing, you can do it better, faster, smarter, cheaper
- 9:13Speaker 3: using these tools, and if you don't do it, somebody
- 9:16Speaker 3: next year is going to do it and you're gonna
- 9:17Speaker 3: be out of business.
- 9:17Speaker 4: So that's the first level.
- 9:19Speaker 3: And then look, man, the black community right now has
- 9:23Speaker 3: so much power, but we're not using it against these
- 9:27Speaker 3: type of problems. We have a lot of political power
- 9:31Speaker 3: in terms of people in an elective office, we have
- 9:33Speaker 3: cultural power, we have spiritual power. But the Black church,
- 9:37Speaker 3: the Black business community, the black political class, we need
- 9:41Speaker 3: to go to these companies as a collective and say, look,
- 9:45Speaker 3: you need to set aside a certain amount of compute
- 9:48Speaker 3: for us, because that's going to be the new goal.
- 9:49Speaker 3: The new data is how much compute do you have
- 9:52Speaker 3: access to? You we should say we want every black
- 9:55Speaker 3: college to have a set aside. But we have basically
- 9:57Speaker 3: our own supercomputers in our own institutions. We can do
- 10:00Speaker 3: what we need to do. And for them, they might say,
- 10:03Speaker 3: well we don't want to do that. Say okay, well
- 10:04Speaker 3: you don't want do that, Well you're gonna have a
- 10:05Speaker 3: big problem because you neque cultural adoption. Black people determine
- 10:10Speaker 3: what's cool and what's corny on planet Earth period. So
- 10:14Speaker 3: even though America's only what five percent of the world's
- 10:17Speaker 3: population black people, American only ten percent. We still for
- 10:20Speaker 3: that tiny group, we own global culture. So if you
- 10:24Speaker 3: want your products to be adopted properly, you need to
- 10:27Speaker 3: make them available to us. If you want them to
- 10:30Speaker 3: be messed up, be like you know, if you want
- 10:33Speaker 3: a bad time in the culture, we can determine that.
- 10:35Speaker 7: An illegal alien from Guatemala charged with raping a child
- 10:39Speaker 7: in Massachusetts. An MS thirteen gang member from El Salvador
- 10:43Speaker 7: accused of murdering a Texas man of Venezuelan charged with
- 10:47Speaker 7: filming and selling child pornography in Michigan. These are just
- 10:51Speaker 7: some of the heinous migrant criminals caught because of President
- 10:55Speaker 7: Donald J. Trump's leadership. I'm Christine Noman, the United States
- 10:58Speaker 7: Secretary of Homelands Security. Under President Trump, attempted illegal border
- 11:03Speaker 7: crossings are at the lowest levels ever recorded, and over
- 11:07Speaker 7: one hundred thousand illegal aliens have been arrested. If you
- 11:10Speaker 7: are here illegally, your next you will be fined nearly
- 11:14Speaker 7: one thousand dollars a day, imprisoned, and deported. You will
- 11:18Speaker 7: never return. But if you register using our CBP home
- 11:22Speaker 7: app and leave now, you could be allowed to return, legally,
- 11:25Speaker 7: do what's right. Leave now. Under President Trump, America's laws,
- 11:30Speaker 7: border and families will be protected.
- 11:33Speaker 4: Sponsored by the United States Department of Homeland Security,
