- 0:01Speaker 1: Well, I hope we'll talk to Curtis in a moment.
- 0:03Speaker 1: What happened, we lost him. We had him, You had
- 0:09Speaker 1: him and you talked to him, right, Okay, so then
- 0:12Speaker 1: it dropped. Then we can't get him back. So this
- 0:14Speaker 1: knowing Curtis, he's traveling somewhere, he's somewhere cell signal, I
- 0:19Speaker 1: don't know, but we'll keep trying them. We'll get him back.
- 0:23Speaker 1: He could be on the train somewhere. But you know, Curtis,
- 0:26Speaker 1: he could be anywhere anywhere in the city. Although it's
- 0:30Speaker 1: hard to go anywhere in New York City and not
- 0:33Speaker 1: get a cell signal. You know, out in the suburbs,
- 0:36Speaker 1: do you have all these dead spots? It's really I
- 0:39Speaker 1: don't know how people live like that. You know, well,
- 0:42Speaker 1: you know, if you're in the suburbs, there's always an area.
- 0:45Speaker 1: If you're in Long Island, forrinstance, if you're on Northern
- 0:47Speaker 1: Boulevard as you head into East Norwich Laurel holl you
- 0:51Speaker 1: know you're gonna lose the cell service. There's no cell
- 0:54Speaker 1: signal for like two miles around there. West Chester, you know,
- 0:57Speaker 1: there's a couple of areas there's just no cell. The
- 1:01Speaker 1: Hamptons if you could be in Southampton, the nicest of
- 1:05Speaker 1: the Hampton's, beautiful Southampton, unbelievable no cell service. East Hampton,
- 1:11Speaker 1: very little cell service. You know why because nobody wants
- 1:16Speaker 1: a cell tower near their house, and nobody will let
- 1:19Speaker 1: them put it up, so it can drive you crazy.
- 1:22Speaker 2: You know.
- 1:22Speaker 1: Also, if you live in these across the street over
- 1:25Speaker 1: there where they got this over on Billionaire's Row, they
- 1:28Speaker 1: got these hundred story apartment buildings. Have you ever see
- 1:31Speaker 1: those beautiful apartments they show you in the ads. Look
- 1:33Speaker 1: at this one hundredth floor, the ninety eighth floor. You know,
- 1:37Speaker 1: one thing they never tell you, there's no cell service
- 1:41Speaker 1: up there. None. You know, most cell towers in New
- 1:45Speaker 1: York City are around the twentieth floor. They figured out
- 1:48Speaker 1: that's the perfect spot to hit the ground, is the
- 1:52Speaker 1: twentieth floor, and it'll go down to the ground and
- 1:56Speaker 1: up and we'll go up to about the fiftieth floor,
- 1:58Speaker 1: and after that you're not getting cell service. So it
- 2:01Speaker 1: is a pain in the neck to live like that.
- 2:04Speaker 1: And if you live up there on the hundredth floor,
- 2:06Speaker 1: your cable company will give you some cell signal, But
- 2:09Speaker 1: if you lose your cable, you'll lose your cell service too,
- 2:13Speaker 1: So what happened with curs? We find him? Oh, we
- 2:15Speaker 1: got him all right. Curtis, of course, was the best
- 2:18Speaker 1: candidate in the race, the only crime fighter in the race.
- 2:22Speaker 1: And it's great to have him back with us. Curtis sliwa,
- 2:24Speaker 1: how you doing good?
- 2:27Speaker 2: Except my phone just went dead. Lucky Nancy was side
- 2:31Speaker 2: by side with me, So I'm talking to you York
- 2:34Speaker 2: her phone. Everything's fine. Calling up all my supporters, you know,
- 2:38Speaker 2: thanking them for the nine months that we were on
- 2:41Speaker 2: the campaign trail, twenty hours a day of a twenty
- 2:44Speaker 2: four hour day, and obviously getting ready. We're the loyal opposition.
- 2:49Speaker 2: We're not moving, we're improving. And as I said on
- 2:55Speaker 2: my concession speech that night, when I knew that it was,
- 3:00Speaker 2: I said, look, the moment that zon Mondami mayor elect
- 3:04Speaker 2: tries to impose socialist concepts and ideas into the running
- 3:10Speaker 2: of the city, when he continues to week in and
- 3:13Speaker 2: render our police impotent, and when public safety gets worse
- 3:17Speaker 2: than it is now, he will have me and my
- 3:20Speaker 2: followers as his worst nightmare. We will fight, fight, fight, Mark.
- 3:24Speaker 2: We're not going anywhere.
- 3:25Speaker 1: Yeah, I know that now, is this true? I read
- 3:27Speaker 1: that election that you called Mom, Donnie, you spoke to him.
- 3:31Speaker 2: Sure, this is what you're supposed to do. You get
- 3:34Speaker 2: a concession speech, you call the person, you say to him, congratulations,
- 3:40Speaker 2: and we want him to do well. You always want
- 3:43Speaker 2: a mayor to do well. Look. I tried calling Eric
- 3:46Speaker 2: Adams the last time twenty twenty one, and that guy,
- 3:49Speaker 2: who I knew was going to be a complete disaster.
- 3:52Speaker 2: You still do the courtesy of making the call. I
- 3:55Speaker 2: would have wished him good luck because if they do well,
- 3:57Speaker 2: we do well. But I also he warned in my
- 4:00Speaker 2: concession speed speech that we will be here, we will
- 4:04Speaker 2: be fighting. We are not going to leave. So it's
- 4:07Speaker 2: a two edge short. This is what you're supposed to do. Yeah,
- 4:11Speaker 2: but didn't have anybody else did it.
- 4:12Speaker 1: What kind of conversations you have with mom, Donnie. What
- 4:14Speaker 1: do you say to you?
- 4:16Speaker 2: Oh? No, very brief. He said thank you, and I
- 4:19Speaker 2: said we'll be talking in the future, but it's not
- 4:22Speaker 2: going to be a happy talk, I think, And he
- 4:26Speaker 2: said thank you again. Because you know me, I warn
- 4:29Speaker 2: you an events mark, I always do. The heat is
- 4:33Speaker 2: going to come. And I'm an organizer, I'm a community organizer.
- 4:37Speaker 2: I go into communities. When you need to battle city Hall,
- 4:41Speaker 2: when it's David versus Goliath, I organize the people and
- 4:44Speaker 2: that's what I will continue to do here in the city.
- 4:47Speaker 1: All right, now, let's point out a couple of things
- 4:49Speaker 1: you did not cost Cuomo the race. Cuomo, if you
- 4:52Speaker 1: got first of all, the myth that if you dropped out,
- 4:54Speaker 1: he'd get all your voters was insane. Obviously all your
- 4:57Speaker 1: voter's not going to go to him. But even if
- 5:00Speaker 1: they did, he's still wouldn't have one. He's still would
- 5:01Speaker 1: have lost by a couple of points. Said, Can you
- 5:04Speaker 1: assure us at least we will never hear from Andrew
- 5:07Speaker 1: Cromo again as a candidate.
- 5:09Speaker 2: No, no, no, Because he's like Napoleon. He will shrink
- 5:13Speaker 2: back to his island of elbow, best known as the Hampton.
- 5:16Speaker 2: He will lurk mark. You know this guy. He is
- 5:19Speaker 2: obsessed with becoming relevant again. He will look at every angle.
- 5:24Speaker 2: He will look. He will do his internal polls because
- 5:27Speaker 2: remember he's sitting on millions and millions of dollars that
- 5:30Speaker 2: he got for that book that he wrote in the
- 5:32Speaker 2: middle of the lockdown and pandemic. Five million dollars that
- 5:35Speaker 2: he wrote with his staff that he should have been
- 5:37Speaker 2: forced to give back, but sits on it and counts
- 5:40Speaker 2: the interest. He will be plotting his comeback. I'm telling you, Mark,
- 5:44Speaker 2: I've known this guy. You know, We've been like two
- 5:47Speaker 2: scorpions in a brandy glass. I hate him. I despise
- 5:51Speaker 2: him because his failures as governor and Eric adams failures
- 5:56Speaker 2: as mayor paved the way for a guy a year ago.
- 5:59Speaker 2: They're not even his neighbors knew Jorhan Mandami.
- 6:02Speaker 1: But when you say come back, where what you run
- 6:04Speaker 1: for Senate? What would he do?
- 6:07Speaker 2: Oh? You know him. He'll plot, He'll he'll deal with
- 6:10Speaker 2: every angle he still has. You know, imagine this Mark.
- 6:16Speaker 2: He basically he's like a bumblebee without a stinger because
- 6:21Speaker 2: he always would threaten people with vengeance of data. That's
- 6:25Speaker 2: how the Working Families Party got so strong. I don't
- 6:28Speaker 2: think people understand that when Zorhan Mandami voted for himself
- 6:34Speaker 2: and voted down the Working Families party line, that was
- 6:37Speaker 2: on purpose. That was an f you to andew Como,
- 6:41Speaker 2: who if you remember, tried to destroy that party when
- 6:45Speaker 2: how dare she sent you a Nixon of sex in
- 6:47Speaker 2: the city run against him as governor on the Working
- 6:50Speaker 2: Families Party line. You know what he succeeded in doing
- 6:53Speaker 2: and trying to destroy them, destroy the New York State
- 6:56Speaker 2: Reform Party that I was chairman of, the Libertarian Party,
- 6:58Speaker 2: the Green Party, the Either and this party. And he
- 7:01Speaker 2: just made the Working Families Party stronger. And they came
- 7:04Speaker 2: back and they bit him right in the neck because
- 7:07Speaker 2: this is a guy who lives for vendettas and blood feuds,
- 7:10Speaker 2: and they got him good. You know, look, he's an
- 7:14Speaker 2: evil person. He's the prince of darkness. But he will
- 7:17Speaker 2: continue to plot his comeback and he will change, and
- 7:21Speaker 2: he will he will act like what he said yesterday,
- 7:25Speaker 2: he didn't really say as you saw all during these
- 7:27Speaker 2: two failed campaigns of his against or On Mandami.
- 7:30Speaker 1: Yeah. Hey, you know, nobody was a bigger booster of
- 7:33Speaker 1: Andrew Cmo than Donald Trump, President Trump promoting him. Like
- 7:36Speaker 1: did you notice yesterday President Trump twice called him a thug.
- 7:40Speaker 1: So I guess that changed your relationship.
- 7:43Speaker 2: Well, I think you know, Mark, that many of the
- 7:47Speaker 2: people who were voting for me originally listened to the President.
- 7:51Speaker 2: And you know there was Elon Musk and Stephen Miller
- 7:55Speaker 2: and everybody else piling on me. The masters of the
- 7:59Speaker 2: universe said, determined the courteous le or was not going
- 8:01Speaker 2: to become a mayor, was not going to have a
- 8:03Speaker 2: fair chance. But that's politics, and Mark, you've been around
- 8:07Speaker 2: this game for so long. How many times have we
- 8:10Speaker 2: had discussions where I say, this is the dirtiest business
- 8:13Speaker 2: that exists. The only difference between this and organized crime,
- 8:17Speaker 2: of which I've had my battles is you don't have
- 8:19Speaker 2: a dead body at the end of the line, except
- 8:22Speaker 2: if it's involving the Clinton family. Other than that, they
- 8:26Speaker 2: will have dinner with you at night. They'll pat you
- 8:29Speaker 2: on the back so hard you have to go for
- 8:30Speaker 2: a chiropractical adjustment. Everybody is singing home by eye and
- 8:34Speaker 2: they have a press conference in the morning in which
- 8:36Speaker 2: they stab you in the back. It happens again and
- 8:39Speaker 2: again and again. And this is the business that I
- 8:44Speaker 2: have chosen. So I have no regrets.
- 8:46Speaker 1: Now let me ask you. I'm sure the answer is no.
- 8:49Speaker 1: But did you take a day off and rest at
- 8:51Speaker 1: least after the campaign?
- 8:53Speaker 2: Absolutely not. Remember, I have a responsibility to call everybody
- 8:58Speaker 2: who put their lives on hold for nine months. You know,
- 9:02Speaker 2: went to the mats against the most powerful people in
- 9:05Speaker 2: the world, the most powerful forces and continue to grind
- 9:09Speaker 2: it out. And I wanted them to hear from me,
- 9:12Speaker 2: not a text, you know, not an email, a personal
- 9:15Speaker 2: call in which I could personally thank them and say, hey,
- 9:18Speaker 2: this is one battle of many battles to come. We're
- 9:21Speaker 2: not going away. Remember Richard Nixon said you won't have
- 9:24Speaker 2: me to kick around anymore when he lost. Actually the
- 9:27Speaker 2: election was stolen from him by JFK. I'm the person
- 9:32Speaker 2: who has told everybody you will have me to kick
- 9:35Speaker 2: around because I ain't going nowhere.
- 9:36Speaker 1: Well that's good. Here now we only like a minute left.
- 9:39Speaker 1: What are you planning to do next? Radio? What are
- 9:41Speaker 1: you going to do?
- 9:43Speaker 2: No? No, no, no, no, you know I'm never going
- 9:45Speaker 2: back to that old boh again. No, never going back
- 9:49Speaker 2: to w ABC. I'm sorry. You guys at w R
- 9:53Speaker 2: have been fair and square to me, but I have
- 9:55Speaker 2: to continue to organize. We know what Zoron Mondami intends
- 9:59Speaker 2: to do, and if we don't organize in advance, stame
- 10:03Speaker 2: on us. We've seen esore on Mondami. He made it
- 10:07Speaker 2: very specifically he's going to war in his acceptance speech.
- 10:12Speaker 2: I mean that was a difference on Mondami. Mark tomorrow.
- 10:14Speaker 2: Oh yes, that wasn't the affable smiling Kumbai. We love
- 10:18Speaker 2: everybody this whole poop. No no, he basically threw the
- 10:22Speaker 2: lightning bolts down and said war, war, war, And there's
- 10:25Speaker 2: nobody who loves going to war politically better and more
- 10:29Speaker 2: often than your truly Curtis Lee. When I will lead
- 10:32Speaker 2: the loyal opposition.
- 10:33Speaker 1: All right, Well that's good to hear, Curtis Lee. Well,
- 10:35Speaker 1: we'll talk again soon. Keep it up. And if anybody
- 10:38Speaker 1: wants to help you, what do they do? Go to
- 10:40Speaker 1: your website? Is it still up?
- 10:42Speaker 2: Still still active until the end of the year. Sliwa
- 10:45Speaker 2: for NYC dot com because I'm fighting for NYC. Sliwa
- 10:49Speaker 2: for NYC dot com. And thanks for all your tactical
- 10:52Speaker 2: air support. Oh we both these campaigns. Mark.
- 10:55Speaker 1: All right, Curtis, we'll talk to again soon. Good luck,
- 10:58Speaker 1: Take care, talk to soon, Take care my pleasure. Hey,
- 11:02Speaker 1: don't forget Jimmy Fayla tonight. He's doing the Patriot Awards,
- 11:07Speaker 1: but he'll be here on the radio nine to midnight tonight.
- 11:10Speaker 1: Great show every night at nine on seven ten WR
